These days, a typical breakfast might be a little bit of za’atar (a thyme and sesame spice mix) or salt with bread, and even these basics are running low.

I’m sharing this not just to talk about food but to help others understand our reality. My brother Ahmad and I have dreams—of learning, of helping our family, and of living in peace.
