The Spiders Sister - Chapter 6
Summary: Reader goes to a stark party to meet some new people.
TW: Drinking, parties (ew), minor blood
Words: 2k
A/n Sorry for the late update my life is chaos.
Looking around at all the people you felt yourself beginning to feel a little insecure. You could pick out most of the people in the room from the TV alone. These weren’t just your average everyday people, these were superhero’s. And despite having powers yourself you still felt like you didn’t belong among legends.
Without realising it you had popped out your fangs, a small habit that displayed your nerves. You did realise it when it nicked your tongue. The coppery taste of blood in your mouth for a second before it healed.
Starting to feel a little overwhelmed Wanda placed a hand on your arm. Her touch was grounding and you were slowly being pulled back out of your own head and back to the party.
“It’s alright if it’s a bit much. It was for my first time as well. Are you ok?” Wanda said quietly to you.
You swallowed and nodded. “I’m alright. Just gimme a sec.”
Steeling your nerves and swallowing down your anxiety you stood a little taller and nodded to Wanda who was silently observing you.
After giving you a moment to adjust Wanda begun shepherding you over to a small group of people. Seemingly taking it upon herself to introduce you to people knowing if it was up to you, you would stay in the corner all night.
Before you had even realised Natasha had left your side she was handing you a drink with a cute little umbrella.
“I figure you liked it a bit fruity.” She said with a wink and your cheeks heated under the glare you shot her as she sipped her vodka martini.
As you arrived in front of the group Wanda seemed to want to introduce you to first, you took a sip of the drink, finding it to be rather good.
Looking around the group Wanda begun introducing you to it was an odd bunch.
“Y/n,” Wanda begun, gesturing to a tall blonde woman in a leather jacket. “This is Carol, or captain Marvel.” Wanda said with a teasing tone as carol rolled her eyes.
“Hi.” You said and Carol smiled warmly at you.
“Nice to meet you Y/n.” Carol said extending a hand which you took. She had a firm handshake and warm but not sweaty hands. The kind but mischievous twinkle in her eyes promised a fun kind of trouble.
“This old man is Nick Fury.” Natasha said clapping a hand on the back of a dark-skinned man with an eyepatch.
“Watch yourself Romanoff.” He said but Nat just smirked. “Nice to meet you kid.” He said extending a hand. After shaking his hand Natasha introduced you to the last person in the group.
“This is Agent Maria Hill.” Nat said elbowing her in the ribs and receiving a heatless glare in response.
“Nice to meet you.” She said giving a welcoming nod to you which you returned.
“So I hear you’re the newest spider in town?” Carol asks smiling at you as she took a swig of her beer.
“Uhhh … yeah.” You said rubbing the back of your neck.
“No need to be so nervous kid, we don’t bite. Unless you want me to.” Carol winked and you smiled back shyly not realising your fangs were out.
“Wow kid. Nice teeth.” Carol said. “Is that a spider thing?” She said looking curious.
“Yeah.” You said putting them away again.
“That’s pretty cool.” Carol said.
“We’re lucky she doesn’t bite.” Wanda said teasingly.
“I dunno,” Nat said rejoining the group with Maria. “I’d let her bite me.” She said with a wink and you choked on the sip you had just taken of your drink.
Coughing as Nat burst out laughing, Wanda pounded your back while Maria was lecturing Natasha in an amused fashion. Carol simply watched with a grin which matched Nats despite being told off.
Fury simply watched with his upper lip twitching as if it wanted to smile but wasn’t allowed which would probably have some level of accuracy to it.
When you regained your composure and your voice, your cheeks were stained with a dark blush.
“So, are you an avenger now kid?” Carol asked.
“I’m not sure.” You said.
“Actually, I’ve been meaning to talk to Stark and Rogers about that one.” Fury said looking at you for a reaction. You simply blinked looking at him and only looking away when you realised, he wasn’t going to elaborate.
“Either way, welcome to our little bunch. If you ever need anything or just to escape the compound of chaos, give me a call.” Carol said and Maria agreed.
“I’ve only ever seen Nat take a liking to something this fast once before and that was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.” Maria said receiving a punch from Nat in the arm replying only with a smirk.
“So, how’d the whole spider thing happen?” Carol asked looking curious.
“I should have said this is y/n Parker.” Wanda said emphasising your last name.
“Like Peter Parker?” Carol asked.
“My little brother.” You clarified with a nod.
“So does being part spider run in the family or did you both do a deal with Satan?” Maria asks and you laughed feeling a bit less anxious now the vibe had changed and there was some alcohol in your blood.
“Peter and I both ended up on the field trip where he got his powers. I was chaperoning and he was … being Peter. Anyways Parker luck and we both got bit by the dumb spider.” You said.
“So you’ve just been keeping a low profile since?” Maria asked.
“Yeah. Something like that. I mean I would take Peter’s old suits for a spin when I could but not too often. Our powers differ a little so I had to play the part and not do some things he couldn’t.” You shrugged sipping your drink again.
“Well it sounds like your well adjusted to it all.” Carol complimented.
You snorted in response. “Adjusted, maybe. Cursed, definitely. What can I say Parker luck is real. I almost got it tattooed once.” You said shrugging.
“Well, it’s been great to see you all again, but I need to take y/n to make the rounds. Learn some new names and see some fresh faces.” Wanda said saying goodbye before dragging you away with her hand clasped tightly around your own.
Natasha lingered with her friends for a little longer while wanda and you were swallowed up into another small group as wanda didn’t want to overwhelm you with too many people at once.
When she came to a stop you were stood in front of a few couches with various familiar faces lounging around talking and laughing.
“Hi honey.” A voice said and you looked over to the blue couch to see Aunt May sat next to Pepper, both holding a glass of white wine.
“Hi Aunt May.” You said feeling a little more comfortable with her around. She always made you feel safe.
“You look amazing sweetheart.” May said.
“I love the dress.” Pepper pitched in and you nodded thanking her.
Pepper patted the seat next to her and you slid into the spot beside her as Natasha appeared from nowhere and handed you a new drink, taking the glass you hadn’t realised was empty.
“Fruity.” Natasha whispered in your ear but this time you swatted her as she disappeared laughing to get herself another drink.
“How many of those have you had?” May asked.
“Not nearly enough to be drunk with my metabolism.” You said rolling your eyes.
“You your brother will drink me out of house and home, and I already feed four enhanced people with the metabolism of fifteen people.” Tony said rolling his eyes.
“Be nice Tony. Plus, Peter can’t even drink yet.” Pepper said swatting his arm.
“Oh right. Yeah, that kids never touching alcohol. I watched him trip over his own feet too many times in the past week to count. I can’t imagine he would be able to even stand if he ever got drunk.” Tony said shaking his head at the idea making you and May laugh.
“Im afraid they both are clumsy.” May said and you groaned scrubbing a hand over your face.
“Really?” Wanda asked her curiosity peaked. “Any good stories?” She asked with a mischievous smirk on her lips.
“Oh, too many to count.” May said laughing and waving a hand to indicate how many.
“Please enlighten us.” Clint said seemingly having appeared from nowhere and plopping himself down on the couch opposite pepper and may. He slung an arm around Tony who promptly shoved him off.
“Personal space birdbrain.” Tony grumbled. “But please, do spill.” He said ignoring pepper protective glare he was receiving.
“Oh, I don’t know…” May said glancing at you as you shook your head pleading with her to drop it. “What about just the flip trip one?” She asked and you swallowed pausing for a second before nodding.
“Fine.” You grumbled as Clint and Tony cheered.
“Whats got feathers and grease monkey so happy?” Nat said sitting down next to Clint.
“Story-time about the Parker’s.” Stark said. “More importantly … embarrassing story time.” He clarified and nat looked at you with a raised brow as you just shook your head and slumped over to bury your face in Wanda’s neck. The alcohol making you slightly more confident and comfortable around them.
“Alright. Well as long as I can recall they have both been clumsy. But there was one time after the spider-bite that their spider sense made it even more interesting. Peter was going into their room and Y/n was heading to the living room. They both must have sensed it because peter tripped over his own feet and before he could land flat on his face, he did a front flip and landed in a crouch with one hand on the ground. Y/n would have been in his way, but she had hopped up and stuck to the ceiling. So, she was hanging on by her fingertips and peter was standing back up as she let go of the roof and fell on top of him.” May said with a chuckle.
Tony’s face was lit up like a kid on Christmas. Pepper was stifling a smile and Nat had snorted into her drink. Wanda was trembling slightly under you as her body shook with suppressed giggles as her hand glided softly through your hair as your face was still buried in her neck hiding.
Clint whistled lowly. “Impressive … yet also not.” He said chuckling to himself.
“ok enough of that.” You whined and May smiled at you softly.
“Alright honey. How about pepper tells us some stories about stark.” May said sharing a mischievous smirk with pepper who immediately grinned at stark who grumbled to himself about betrayal.
As pepper launched into a story about the time the great Tony stark had turned up to a meeting sans pants, May pulled you aside.
“You haven’t told them have you?” She said in a low whisper.
“Told them what?” You mumbled looking at your shoes.
“Come on Y/n. I know its different now but he’s not just your brother. I know it hurts but he’s still your-“
“I know.” You said cutting May off before she could finish and say the word that brought pain to your very soul. “But he’s not May. Not anymore … its different. I had to live without him for five years. It changes you. It changed me.“ you mumbled wishing you had grabbed your drink before this impromptu sidebar.
“They’ll see your file eventually, they will connect the dots. It would be better coming from the two of you if you told them yourselves.” May said taking on a sad almost worried voice.
“I’ll talk to Petey about it.” You said and she rubbed a hand up and down your bicep and offered as small smile.
“Good.” May said before pressing a kiss to your forehead.
As the two of you rejoined the group your eyes had a little less of a glint in them. The pain still raw from things you didn’t want to remember.
The battle against Thanos had been somewhat of a sore subject around the tower and you didn’t want to bring up the avengers failure.
The rest of the party was smooth sailing as things began to die down.

We're a Family
Summary: You and Natasha are taking your first vacation since the birth of your 5-year-old daughter. While you and Natasha are off on a romantic getaway to Paris for your anniversary, how will your Avengers family handle watching your daughter for the weekend?
Pairings: Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Genre: Fluff, Comfort, Romance
Word Count: 4.3k
Warnings: Some mentions of grief.
A/N: Thank you so much for the positive feedback on Come Home to Me! I hope to keep writing as I feel inspired and have time. This story takes place after the events of Endgame. Tony survived defeating Thanos with the Snap, and Steve brought Natasha back after returning the Soul Stone to Vormir.
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Natasha questioned for the third time that Friday morning as you gathered the last essentials for your 5-year-old daughter to take to the Avengers Compound. You and Nat were taking your first vacation together since your child's birth in celebration of your wedding anniversary. Understandably, your wife was struggling with the idea of leaving your daughter. It was all you could do to convince Natasha to drop her off at preschool, let alone leave her overnight.
“Love, we’ve talked about this. It’s only for the weekend. Mila is going to have a great time. Besides, there is nowhere safer for her than surrounded by Avengers. You trust them with your life,” you remind her reassuringly as you rub gentle circles on her back.
“Exactly. My life, not my child,” Nat muttered.
It had been five years since you gave birth to your and Natasha’s daughter. Your whole world changed from the moment you both laid eyes on her. Soon after, Nat transitioned into semi-retirement with guidance from Clint. She was still available for consultation and recruit training or if the situation was dire, but you and Mila are her number one priority now.
You heard little feet padding down the hall as your daughter entered your bedroom. Her red curls bounced up and down on her head. “I'm ready, Mommy and Mama!” Mila squealed.
“Oh, Moya Lyubov, you look so pretty! Did you dress yourself this morning?” Natasha asked, getting down to her level.
“Yes! I wanted to match Auntie Yelena!” as she showed off her mini black vest that Yelena made her for her last birthday, worn expertly over her pink tutu.
“Auntie Yelena is going to love it, sweetheart. You’re going to have so much fun with your aunts and uncles this weekend,” you said, hugging her tight.
After packing your luggage in the car, you drive to the compound. FRIDAY greets you as you exit the main elevator. “Good morning, Ms. Romanoff, Ms. Y/L/N.” The team is awaiting your arrival in the common room.”
“Thank you, FRIDAY,” you replied as Mila let go of Natasha’s hand and ran ahead of both of you, having been here several times already in her young life.
As you enter the room, you see Wanda and Vision in the kitchen, and the smell of freshly baked cookies wafts through the air. Peter and Kate are playing video games, Bucky and Sam are playing cards with Clint, and Steve is quietly reading Moby Dick.
“Little spider!” Yelena called out as she entered the room, and Mila ran into her arms.
“Auntie Yelena! Do you like my outfit? I got dressed all by myself!”
“I love it, malayshka. It's so much cooler than Mama’s outfit,” Yelena says as she side-eyes her older sister with a smile. “We are going to have so much fun this weekend.”
“Yeah, about that,” Natasha interrupted. “Mission briefing in five.”
Mission briefing?" you asked, confused. "Nat, we're going on vacation, not a stakeout.”
“Yes, but they have the most important mission of all, watching our daughter,” motioning to the group before you.
Your heart warms at how protective your wife was—the Black Widow. She was a woman who would run into a collapsing building or intercept an alien invasion without batting an eye, but the moment she became a mother, everything changed. She vowed to give Mila everything she never had as a child. To break the cycle of uncertainty and pain that the Red Room forced upon her. Truthfully, you were so proud of how far Natasha had come. From growing up believing love was for children to giving nothing but love to both of you.
The living room came alive with spirited debate as Tony and Bruce burst through the door. Their voices layered with excitement and frustration over their latest nanotech calculations. Pepper trailed closely behind, an amused smile playing on her lips.
“Hey, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, park it,” Natasha declared.
“Ah, Rushman, wonderful to see you as always,” Tony says, winking at Nat. She rolled her eyes in response as Tony and Bruce hugged you before sitting down, and Pepper picked up your daughter.
“Come on sweetie, do you want to go play with Morgan?” Pepper asked.
“Yay!” Mila cheered as they walk down the hall to Morgan’s room.
“Okay, here are some quick dos and don’ts for this weekend. No guns, no repulsor rays, no arrows, and no using our daughter as a beta test subject for any new experiments. When Thor gets here, no Asgardian beverages in front of our child. Mila’s bedtime is 7 pm, and she likes it if you do the characters' voices when you read her bedtime story. If she has trouble falling asleep, a lullaby usually does the trick. Got it?”
“Geez, this is almost as bad as Budapest,” Clint whispered to Kate.
“It’s going to be alright, Natasha,” Wanda reassured. “We’re a family. You know we would do anything for that little girl. Please, go and enjoy your anniversary. No one deserves some special alone time more than you two,” Wanda said, as she hands you a tin of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for the trip.
You put your arm around Natasha and kiss her cheek. “Wanda is right, my love. Mila will be fine.”
Just as you complete the sentence, Mila runs back into the room. “Mommy, Mama! Morgan has Puss and Boots: The Last Wish, and we will watch it tonight before bedtime.”
“That sounds like so much fun, sweetheart! I know you will be a good girl for your aunts and uncles, and Mommy and Mama will see you on Sunday night, okay? We love you so much.” you said.
“Okay, Mommy. I love you!” She said as she hugged you so tight. Natasha knelt to kiss your daughter on the cheek and squeezed her hand three times. Their unique way of saying I love you. After one last hug and kiss, you walk to the Quinjet. Tony had offered one for easy and convenient travel.
*^~^*
By the time you arrive at your hotel in Paris, it’s almost dinner time. After sightseeing, you two enjoyed a gourmet candlelit dinner under the Parisian moon and a romantic stroll under the stars. When you returned to your room, you received a text message from Clint with a photo of your daughter asleep on her bed—lovingly cuddled under a blanket with Yelena.
“See, she’s okay,” you said lovingly as Natasha smiled at the picture of her little girl and her little sister.
As you lay in bed that night, you feel more grateful than ever to be here with the love of your life. Both of you had learned firsthand to never take anything for granted.
You were one of the lost souls left behind after the Blip. Struggling with the loss of your loved ones, you began attending Steve’s Brooklyn Support Group once a week. It was after one of those meetings that you were first introduced to the Black Widow.
Natasha hesitated at first to let anyone in. She was too scared to lose anyone else and was convinced that nothing should take away from her commitment to bring everyone back. However, she still found any excuse to attend Steve’s meetings. Whether that was to bring homemade peanut butter sandwiches for the snack table or shyly offering to give you a ride home.
You weren’t a hero or a super soldier. You didn’t remind Natasha of the guilt she carried over the last five years as the fallout from the Blip continued. You were just yourself, which Natasha loved the most about you. You began to visit her at the compound, and slowly but surely, the walls came down for both of you.
When she told you about the Time Heist, you didn’t want to hear it. You couldn’t comprehend the thought of losing Natasha, but you knew she believed in her heart that she owed it to everyone they had lost to try. When Clint returned from Vormir alone and dropped to his knees, so did you. Grief overtook you all over again.
As the Battle for Earth became inevitable, the team hid you in a safe house off the grid. Days went by and you lost track of time, stuck in your grief and unaware of what was happening. It wasn't until a knock on your door awoke you in the middle of the night that you dropped to your knees again. This time in shock at the sight of Natasha on your doorstep. Tears streaming down her face, she told you they had won. Tony defeated Thanos with the Snap, and Steve performed a miracle by bringing her back upon returning the Soul Stone to Vormir.
So much life has happened since then. You were married in a beautiful autumnal ceremony shortly after Nat returned and bought your house. Five years ago and twelve hours of labor later, you welcomed your daughter into the world that your wife sacrificed herself to save. You couldn’t believe how much you loved them both. Returning to the present moment, you gently move a strand of Natasha’s unbraided red hair away from her face. Her hands move effortlessly to the nape of your neck, and you lose yourself in her touch.
*^~^*
It’s Saturday morning back at the compound, and Mila is eating blueberry pancakes when Clint strolled in from his morning workout.
“Hey, squirt! Those pancakes look amazing. Did Auntie Wanda make those?” he asked, reaching for the extra plate of pancakes on the counter.
Before Mila can respond, the plate glides quickly away from him, enveloped in Wanda’s red magic. “Auntie Wanda did make those, but they’re only for adorable little girls named Mila. Is your name Mila?” Wanda said to Clint with a raised eyebrow.
“No,” Clint grumbled.
“Then make your breakfast, Hawkeye,” Wanda sighed, patting him on the back.
After breakfast, Sam and Bucky take Mila outside to play. Meanwhile, Steve is working on a mission report in his room when FRIDAY interrupts his concentration. “Mr. Rogers, I’m picking up an elevated heat signature from your shield just north of your location.” Steve looked curiously out the window to see Mila giggling as she slid across the grass. She is sitting on his overturned shield, pulled by a rope tied to the back of Red Wing.
“My shield is not a toy!” Steve yelled out the window.
“Oh, hey, Cap! It does make a great sled, doesn’t it?” Bucky answered, pretending not to hear what his best friend said, as Sam laughed out loud.
Steve shakes his head to hide his smile. You meant the world to him, having spent countless hours processing your grief together in that dark and dank recreation room in Brooklyn. He was honored when you and Natasha asked him to be Mila’s godfather. His shield was made from Vibranium, after all. If his goddaughter wanted to play with it, he knew no harm would be done.
That afternoon, Peter arrived at the compound to work on his newest suit upgrade with Tony. Mila is engrossed in coloring at the kitchen table with Auntie Kate when Peter walks in to get a soda.
“Hey Mila, what are you up to?”
“Coloring, do you want to help us?” Mila asked happily.
Peter nodded, and they got lost in her Disney Princess coloring book for the next twenty minutes. After adding pretty sparkles to Elsa’s Frozen dress, Mila noticed Peter’s Spider-Man suit sticking out of his bag.
“Pretty!” Mila said with wide eyes.
“You like it?” Peter asked.
“Yes, is this how you fly? Mama says you can fly!” Mila exclaimed.
“Something like that,” Peter chuckled and tousled her hair.
Down in the lab, Tony had been waiting for Peter to arrive for half an hour. Unusual, as his protege was typically annoyingly punctual. Running out of patience, Tony asks FRIDAY for Peter’s current location.
“Mr. Parker is in the kitchen with Ms. Bishop and the young Ms. Romanoff, sir.” Tony rolls his eyes as he trudged up the stairs.
“Hey Hawkette, have you seen Peter? He was supposed to — “
Tony stops as he sees Peter swinging from the ceiling with Mila on his back. Kate was too busy filming the spectacle on her phone to notice Tony standing there.
“Wee!! Faster, Uncle Peter!” Mila shouted as Peter’s web carried them across the room to the top of the bookcase.
Tony’s eyes follow the pair around the room. He put on his best poker face, “I won’t tell Romanoff or her better half, but if you break it, you pay for it. That includes the kid.” Tony warned.
“Sure thing, Mr. Stark,” Peter gives Tony a thumbs up.
“And for God’s sake, at least put some pillows down on the floor!” Tony hollered as he walked back to his lab.
*^~^*
You and Natasha took a Saturday evening cruise down the Seine River in the city of love. It was magical. When your phone alerted you to an incoming FaceTime from Carol, you had seen the Musée d’Orsay the Notre Dame Cathedral and had just reached the top of the Eiffel Tower. You swiped, her face appearing on the screen.
“Hey, you two, I just wanted to let you know that I’m going to be on Earth-616 tomorrow for a meeting with Fury and thought I’d drop in on my favorite couple. Wait, where are you?”
“Paris, for our anniversary! Our first vacation alone in over five years. Can you believe it?” you said giddily as Natasha put her arms around your waist and lovingly kissed your cheek.
“Wow, that’s wonderful! Where’s your little mini-me?” Carol asked.
“With the team if you’re going there anyway, could you just make sure that everything is good with Mila?” Natasha inquired.
“Of course. You know you never have to ask.”
“Thank you, Carol,” you gratefully respond. We’ll be back tomorrow evening, so I’m sure we’ll see you then.” Carol gave you a mock salute before you ended the call and put your phone back in your coat pocket.
“You look so beautiful, dorogaya. After all this time, I still can't believe you’re mine.” Nat waxed poetically as she removed her scarf and wrapped it around your neck. Natasha could not look more beautiful in the glow of the Eiffel Tower. You decided this is the perfect moment to give her your anniversary gift. You slowly hand her the red velvet box you had snuck into your satchel. Her green eyes went wide at the sight of it.
“Detka! We said no gifts this year. This trip is gift enough,” Nat facetiously scolded.
“I know, but I still wanted to do something special for you,” you said sheepishly.
Natasha opens the box, revealing a simple, delicate gold heart locket necklace. Upon opening the pendant, she is greeted by a candid photo of all three of you. Clint took one during your last visit with his family in Iowa. Nat was sitting on Clint’s front porch with a smiling Mila on her lap. You are leaning behind her with your arms wrapped lovingly around her neck. It quickly became one of your favorite photos of your small yet precious family.
“This is so beautiful, Moya Lyubov. Can you put it on me?”
You moved Natasha’s braid away from her neck and clasped the necklace in the back. The heart locket fell directly on top of her own heart. It looked perfect on her. You're not sure who leaned in first, but your lips met in a kiss that made your stomach flutter like it was the first time. You couldn’t be happier than you were at that moment.
*^~^*
The Sunday morning sun was slowly breaking through the compound windows. Yelena was pouring your daughter a bowl of Cheerios and singing along to the sound of American Pie from her phone when The God of Thunder entered through the Bifrost. Mila jumped and started to hide behind her Auntie Yelena but ran toward him when she realized only her Uncle Thor was materializing before them, leaving his trademark on Pepper’s Persian rug.
“Must you do that every time? You’re becoming more of a poser than my sister.” Yelena remarked.
“Of course,” Thor said nonchalantly. “It is the only entrance fit for the God of Thunder.”
He lifted Mila with one arm, “Odin’s Beard! You’ve gotten so big since I last saw you, Mila,” Thor declared
“I know! Did you bring me a present Uncle Thor?” Mila squealed.
“Yes! Now, let’s see here… Asgardian Ale, Mead, no… ah, here it is!” He handed the little girl a small snow globe set in gold with her name engraved elegantly on the base.
“Wow. Pretty snow globe….” Mila whispered.
“It is indeed,” Thor said, sitting cross-legged on the carpet before the little girl. “This is a special Asgardian snow globe. Look, see the rainbow bridge inside it?” He pointed. “Most importantly, Lady Mila, if you shake it, I shall be there in a flash. If ever you need me, I will be there.”
“Thank you, Uncle Thor!” Mila said as she wrapped her arms around his neck. I’m going to show it to my Teddy Bear!” Running to her bedroom.
“You spoil her, you know,” Yelena stated with a smirk, as she began to clean up the kitchen.
“I know, but she is such a grand example of goodness and joy in such a tiny human. She deserves the world.” Thor declared.
Carol arrived shortly after lunch. After a short meeting with Fury in the conference room regarding upcoming mission targets, she finds your daughter in the compound courtyard. She is wearing her vest to match her favorite auntie as Yelena demonstrates the newest tricks Fanny has learned.
“Roll over! Good girl, Fanny!” Yelena praised the dog. Mila takes a treat out of her vest pockets with her tiny hand and tosses it to the Akita.
“Well done, Mila! Before you go home tonight, I will show you what else you can hide inside those pockets,” winking at her niece.
“Fruits and veggies, right, Yelena?” Carol deadpanned as Mila ran over and jumped into Captain Marvel’s arms.
“Auntie Carol! When did you get here?” Your daughter giggled.
“Just a little bit ago. I talked to your Mommy and Mama last night. They miss you and can’t wait to see you when they get home tonight,” Carol shared before kissing your daughter on the cheek.
*^~^*
As the sun started to sink on the horizon, casting a warm glow over the ancient city of Paris, you found yourself immersed in the rich history of the Louvre museum. You had eagerly anticipated this moment, and after spending the afternoon exploring the countless treasures within the museum's walls, Natasha was determined to ensure you had the chance to lay eyes on the iconic Mona Lisa. As you weaved your way through the bustling crowd of tourists, Natasha's determined presence caused a path to effortlessly clear before you as she kindly asked them to move the fuck over.
You returned to your hotel and enjoyed a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries when Natasha’s phone dinged.
Carol: Hey, lovebirds. It's all good here. Mila is doing great and excited to see you when you return. However, you may want to check her vest pockets when you get home for some “special” presents courtesy of Auntie Yelena. 😘
Natasha giggled, showing you the text.
“The important thing is that they’re bonding,” placing a delicate kiss on her temple.
Following Wanda’s delicious Chicken Paprikash dinner, your daughter watched Frozen II. Vision attempted to explain the science behind snowflakes to her when Tony strolled into the lounge.
“Hey, kiddo, do you want to come to the lab with me and see the new suit modifications that the Jolly Green Giant and I are working on?”
“Yay!” Mila said excitedly, jumping up and down.
“Sir, Ms. Romanoff indicated there was to be no experimenting with young Ms. Mila while she is in our care.”
“Relax, chrome dome. We’re just looking at the new holographic mockup.” Picking up Mila and carried her to his lab.
*^~^*
After a few hours, Natasha gracefully guided the Quinjet to a smooth landing. As the engines powered down, she took a deep breath and gently reached across the console to grasp your hand. Together, you gazed out at the glittering lights of the team living quarters in the distance.
"Thank you for making our anniversary so wonderful," you said. "I love you so much. I know it was tough for you to leave Mila for three days, but not only did we have a beautiful anniversary, but our daughter got to spend meaningful time with her family, which she will always remember." You pressed a kiss to her knuckles as Natasha caressed your cheek.
You were right, dorogaya. This was perfect. I’m sorry I was so nervous about leaving her. I just never thought I would have my happily ever after. That little girl and you are my everything. It breaks my heart every time I leave either one of you.
“I know, my love,” you said quietly. “Now, let’s go get our daughter and go home.”
As you entered the compound, the air was filled with shouting and the excited barking of Fanny and Lucky. Natasha instinctively reached for her spare Widow Bites, but before she could react, both of you heard the unmistakable sound of your daughter's laughter. Following the noise, you entered the common room to find your daughter joyfully running through the compound. She was wearing her pajamas and had one of Tony’s Iron Man helmets perched on her head while clutching a can of whipped cream. Yelena and the rest of the team were in hot pursuit, with puffs of whipped cream trailing behind her as she raced through the room.
Kate skidded to a stop in front of both of you. “Oh, you guys are back. Awesome! Umm, we made ice cream sundaes for dessert. Mila enjoyed hers, as you can see”, Kate motioned, breathing heavily.
Mila took her last lap around the couch when she caught sight of you and Natasha.
“Mommy, Mama! You’re here!!” she squealed, running into Natasha’s arms.
“Hi, Moya Lyubov, we missed you so much!!” Natasha said as she wrapped Mila in a big hug before passing her to you to do the same.
“It looks like you had fun with your aunts and uncles this weekend,” removing the helmet and brush a red curl away from her eyes.
“I had so much fun, Mommy! I got to eat yummy food, ride a sled, fly, and Auntie Yelena helped me hide special treasures in my vest pockets. Oh, and I got a magic snow globe with my name on it!” Your daughter rambled happily.
Natasha looked at you slightly skeptical, wondering if your sweet little girl was exaggerating. With your family, you were never quite sure.
“Wow, that sounds amazing, kotyonok!” Are you ready to go home now?” Nat asked as Mila gives you her best puppy dog eyes.
“It’s okay sweetheart, we’ll come back and see everyone next weekend. Why don’t you go get your Teddy bear?” you suggested.
“I’ll help her with her things,” Yelena said, scooping up your daughter and walking to her bedroom.
“We can’t thank all of you enough for taking such good care of her. I know she would stay here forever if we let her.” You said as you move through the group hugging every one.
She is always welcome here, you two know that.” Wanda said, confident she was speaking for the entire team.
A short while later, Mila emerged with her unicorn backpack, followed by Yelena, carrying more bags than she had when you dropped her off. You couldn't help but shake your head, knowing the team had showered her with gifts. Natasha crouched down to Mila’s eye level, tenderly placing her hand on her back. “Can you say goodbye and thank you to all of your aunts and uncles, dorogaya?” she asked. Mila made her way around the room, hugging everyone. It warmed Natasha to witness her family showering your daughter with so much love and affection.
Mila drifted off to sleep only five minutes after being placed in her car seat. Upon returning home, Natasha carried her to her bed with the utmost care. She tenderly laid Mila down, ensuring she was tucked in snugly, and then, both of you gently kissed her forehead before quietly slipping out of the room. You decided to postpone the unpacking until the following day, feeling too exhausted from the long journey. In the bedroom, Natasha was sitting in bed, engrossed in a book with her reading glasses perched precariously on the edge of her nose. The day's fatigue faded as you turned off the bathroom light and joined her in bed.
“I couldn’t have asked for a more romantic anniversary, my love,” you admitted as you carefully removed her glasses from her face and gently kissed her lips. “But there is nowhere I would rather be than at home with you and our beautiful daughter.”
“I couldn’t agree more,” Nat said, returning the kiss.
As Natasha drifted into slumber, her mind wandered back to the tumultuous path that had brought her to this moment. She couldn't escape the memories of her past—a life of manipulation in the Red Room with no autonomy and the unending pursuit to cleanse her conscience of the bloodstains it bore. But then came the shot that Clint didn't take and the chance that Fury did. Her deeply unconventional yet cherished family culminated in the arrival of you and your precious daughter. In these precious bonds, Natasha Romanoff found the strength to thrive and, at long last, find peace.

Shadows and Subtlety
pairing: loki laufeyson x male reader tags: reader was written with natasha in mind, dom reader, sub loki, he's bad at flirting and vulnerable, I just love him, au where loki doesn't try to take over the world
The first time you lock eyes with Loki across the Avengers Compound, the tension in the air is a living, breathing thing. You’re stationed near the conference room doors, arms crossed over your chest, waiting for Fury to finish a briefing with Natasha. You’ve never been particularly warm, and your posture—coiled like a serpent ready to strike—keeps most people at arm’s length.
But not Loki.
From the other side of the lobby, he tilts his head just so, green eyes narrow as if you’re a puzzle to be solved. In your black tactical gear, face set in a permanent scowl, you’re used to people’s wariness. He, on the other hand, is the God of Mischief, and mischief rarely turns away from a challenge.
Natasha meets you in the hallway, handing you a thin folder. “He’s waiting in the training room,” she says with a smirk.
“He?” you echo, raising an eyebrow. You rarely train with others, preferring your own quiet regime. The fact that Natasha of all people is setting you up with a sparring partner piques your interest.
She gives you a shrug. “He specifically requested you, said something about wanting to learn ‘a more mortal approach to close quarters.’” Her lips twitch. “He’s a fast learner, but he lacks discipline.”
It’s then you realize exactly who’s waiting for you, and a low scoff escapes your throat. “So the Trickster wants to see me?”
Natasha chuckles. “He’s been curious about you. Watch yourself. And try not to break him, if you can.”
Your eyes flash with dry amusement. Break him? You’ve heard the stories of Loki’s cunning, his illusions, his near-royal arrogance. But you’re not the type to back down or fawn over gods, no matter how pretty they might be.
You stride into the training room, footsteps echoing across the polished floor. Loki stands at the far side, dressed in form-fitting Asgardian leathers—slightly less dramatic than his usual attire, but still elaborate enough to set him apart. His dark hair frames his sharp features, and a hint of a self-assured smirk graces his lips.
You drop your gear bag by the wall, rolling your shoulders. “You asked for me?”
He inclines his head, an attempt at cool confidence. “I did. I’ve heard you’ve had extensive training. Natasha informed me you’re difficult to best.”
You snort. “She flatters me.” You take a step onto the mat, beckoning him closer with a curl of your fingers. “Let’s see if you can keep up, prince.”
Loki’s smirk widens momentarily, but as soon as you lunge, his eyes widen. You’re fast—faster than he anticipated. You catch the flicker of self-doubt in his gaze. He parries your first blow, tries for an elegant twist of your arm, but you counter easily, deflecting him until he’s nearly forced to his knees.
“Don’t rely on illusions,” you warn, voice low. “I can sense them. I can see through them. Stick to what’s real.”
He snarls—less an angry sound than a frustrated one. He’s realized he can’t simply trick you. Your presence is too grounded; you’re too used to reading subtle changes in an opponent’s stance. And you’re shockingly direct in your approach.
Your next move brings him to the mat with a firm thud. Loki’s breath leaves him in a rush as you pin him, forearm across his collarbone. The amusement flickers on your face when you see the flush high on his cheeks. He’s not just annoyed; he’s enjoying this. The rapid rise and fall of his chest, the way his lips part in a silent gasp—it’s all too telling.
You release him and stand. “Lesson one,” you say, offering your hand so he can regain his footing. “Watch your pride. It’ll trip you up every time.”
His fingers linger on yours as you haul him up, and you feel a slight tremor in his grip. When you let go, he swallows, meeting your eyes like he’s searching for something in them. You can’t hide your smirk.
“I never realized you were that strong,” Loki murmurs. There’s a subdued deference in his tone, a flicker of submission, almost. You can see it in the way he drops his gaze the moment your eyebrow arches, as if worried he’s crossed a line.
“Don’t expect me to hold back,” you warn quietly. And from the flash in his eyes, you suspect he likes that.
In the week that follows, Loki makes more appearances in your orbit, always with the same combination of bravado and delicate uncertainty. You notice how he hesitates when he’s around you, how his usual flair for the dramatic falters. Meanwhile, your reputation for being a bit of a lone wolf holds steady. You’ve been through your share of scrapes—both in covert operations with Natasha and in your own personal life. It’s left you guarded, with a no-nonsense approach that either keeps people away or makes them respect you. Sometimes both.
Loki, surprisingly, doesn’t shy away. If anything, he’s like a moth drawn to flame—fascinated, unable to resist getting closer, no matter the burn he might risk.
One day, you’re walking down a corridor when you sense him behind you. You half-turn, giving a curt nod. “Something on your mind?”
He stiffens, like you’ve caught him snooping. “I wanted to ask if you had time for another training session?”
You watch him from beneath your lashes, posture rigid. “I’m free now,” you say, voice clipped. “Let’s go.”
He exhales, relieved—or maybe just excited—and trails after you, fingers twisting anxiously in the hem of his dark tunic. The faint tremor in his movements suggests he’s not just interested in training. There’s more he wants, something swirling behind his eyes he doesn’t quite know how to articulate.
You settle into your stance. Loki does the same, though his brow is furrowed. He seems distracted, eyes flicking to the door, to your face, back to the floor. “Focus,” you bark.
He huffs, pulling in a breath. “I am focusing, it’s just—”
You cut his words short with a sweeping kick, forcing him to dodge. He conjures a small illusion—a flicker of green—but you catch on. You feint left, then close in from the right. Before he can blink, you’ve pinned him against the gym wall, forearm pressed to his shoulder, your body practically caging his in place. He inhales sharply, eyes wide. He doesn’t fight back, doesn’t try to push you away. Instead, his lips part, breath shaky as you lean in just enough that he can feel your presence looming over him.
Your voice rumbles low in your chest. “Stop playing games. If you want to say something, say it.”
Loki’s cheeks color faintly. He looks up at you—really looks—and for a moment, it’s as if he’s letting his armor slip. Gone is the trickster mask. Gone is the arrogant tilt of his chin. Instead, you sense vulnerability, submission, and something akin to longing.
“I—” He swallows thickly, not sure how to confess. “You captivate me,” he finally manages. “You’re so certain, so unrelenting. I can’t pretend it doesn’t affect me.”
You watch his pupils dilate, see the tremor along his jawline. You know that feeling—of wanting something that might be dangerous, might be overwhelming, but craving it anyway. Part of you wants to push him away; after all, attachments have never been your strong suit. But the other part sees the way his eyes are practically begging.
Keeping him pinned, you lean in. “Don’t toy with me,” you whisper, your voice a threat and a promise all at once.
He closes his eyes, breath stuttering. “I wouldn’t dream of it.” You release him, stepping back, and Loki sucks in air like he’s been underwater for too long. He rubs his wrist, carefully avoiding your gaze.
“Meet me on the roof later,” you say abruptly, ignoring the loud pounding of your heart. “After midnight.”
Loki’s eyes snap to yours, filled with a rush of hope. He nods, and you almost feel the tension melt off his shoulders.
When Loki arrives at the rooftop, you’re already there, leaning against the edge, looking out at the city skyline. There’s a crisp wind, and the quiet hum of distant traffic underscores the night. He steps closer, apprehension clear in every movement. “You wanted to speak with me?” His voice is softer than usual, the usual haughty edge gone.
You turn, scanning his face. “We can’t keep playing cat-and-mouse in the training room. That’s not me. If you want me, you need to be clear about it.”
Loki’s breath catches. “You must know that I’m not exactly experienced in this. My affections have never been the focus. I never thought—” You lift your hand to trace the line of his jaw, halting his rambling. He stills under your touch, eyes half-lidded.
“You can’t hide from me,” you murmur. “I see you. Past all the illusions, the snark, the bravado.” Your thumb slides over his bottom lip. He shivers, gaze dropping in submission. “You’re clever, but I’m not a puzzle you can solve by sweet words or illusions.”
“I don’t—I mean, I’m not trying to manipulate you,” he blurts, almost desperate. “I’m just…unsure how to ask for this.”
You lean in, your breath teasing his ear. “Just ask.”
He’s trembling so subtly you might miss it if you weren’t pressed so close. “Please,” he whispers, the word raw and quiet. “Just let me stay near you. Let me have this.”
Something tugs in your chest at how vulnerable he is. You grip his chin, tilting his face up until he’s forced to meet your eyes. “We’ll go slow,” you say, “but understand: I won’t tiptoe around you. I won’t soften who I am.”
His gaze flickers with excitement. “I wouldn’t expect you to.” You smirk, satisfied. One hand slides around his waist, pulling him flush against you. He gasps—soft, needy—and it’s the most genuine sound you’ve heard from him yet. You kiss him then, firm, controlled, letting him feel your dominance in every brush of your lips. Loki melts into you, fingers digging into your shirt as though he can’t bear to let go.
Days turn into a new routine. When you train, Loki barely attempts illusions anymore; he focuses on the raw, physical dance of the spar. After each session, you catch him watching you with unwavering fascination. His attempts to flirt remain adorably clumsy—he’s not used to wanting someone so intensely, nor to the idea that they might want him in return.
Natasha teases you about it once: “You’ve got the god on his knees,” she jokes dryly. You merely shrug, not confirming or denying. You don’t have to. The glances between you and Loki say enough. Some nights, you find him waiting outside your door, hands folded anxiously. He never quite knows how to initiate closeness unless you command it—or silently beckon him. And he likes that you take the lead. It’s in his eyes, in the way his shoulders relax the moment you say his name in that low, calm voice of yours.
On an evening that’s grown peaceful after a minor mission, you’re both in your quarters. The lights are dim, and Loki sits at the edge of your bed, fiddling with the sleeve of his tunic.
You step close, pressing two firm fingers beneath his chin so he’ll look up. “What is it?”
He seems caught between speaking and staying silent, but at last, he exhales shakily. “I’m not…I’m not used to being second to anyone. And yet I find myself wanting you to—” He stops, throat working. “I want you to lead. To control.”
Your expression doesn’t change, but there’s a slow burn of gratification in your chest. You brush his hair aside, letting your fingertips trail delicately over his collar. “You can have that,” you say quietly. “But it means trusting me.”
He nods, eyes fluttering shut. His voice is barely audible. “I do. More than I ever thought I could.”
You claim his lips in a slow, deliberate kiss. He surrenders himself to you, pressing closer, and the tension that usually coils in his body unwinds, replaced by a warmth that envelops you both. There is no mockery in his submission. There is no cruelty in your dominance. It’s an odd harmony, born of two people who’ve known different forms of isolation, forging a bond that surprises you both.
It’s not a fairy tale. You’re not romantic by nature, and Loki is still prone to fits of self-doubt or flare-ups of pride. There’s friction. There’s teasing. But there’s also an unmistakable electricity in the air whenever you’re together. It shows in the brush of your hand at the small of his back as you pass him in the hall; in the fleeting moment when Loki’s voice drops an octave and he murmurs a quiet, “Yes,” to your unspoken directive.
Others in the Compound might not fully understand it, but Natasha—ever the keen observer—simply smirks in that knowing way of hers. If Thor notices the change in his brother’s mood (fewer outbursts, a strangely content gleam in his eye), he doesn’t comment. But you see it. You see the way Loki seeks you out, his steps lighter, his smirk softer.
And at the end of the day, when he stands by your side, eyes brimming with honest devotion instead of empty bravado, you feel that something you never expected from a trickster god: trust. In his own way, he’s put himself entirely in your hands, subverting the typical power dynamic of mortal and deity. But the truth is, you respect that vulnerability. You hold it carefully, treating his submission as a gift rather than something to exploit.
Maybe it’s not what either of you had foreseen, but sometimes, the best things are those we could never have planned. And so, in quiet moments—when it’s just you and Loki, his head bowed against your shoulder, your fingers absently tracing runes on his arm—you find a peace you didn’t know you’d been searching for. And Loki, who spent so long hiding behind illusions and living in Thor’s shadow, discovers that perhaps giving up a measure of control is the most liberating feeling of all.

Just The Two Of Us
Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Masterlist - Join My Taglist!
Written for Fictober 2024!
Requested by @ghostofskywalker! Hope you like it bestie! This was very fun to write :)
Fandom: Marvel
Day Nineteen Prompt: "This is getting ridiculous."
Summary: Wanda and her SO have put in a TON of work to finally get a date night off, alone, without interruption. But, like most things, it doesn't work out exactly according to plan.
Word Count: 1,828
Category: Fluff, Humor, little bit of Angst?
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"Alright. This is going to be the pefrect, quiet romantic evening the two of us have been needing. No Avengers, chaotic family members, or world-ending threats to interrupt us."
I made the promise to reassure myself as much as my girlfriend, Wanda Maximoff, as I squeezed her hand and led the way into the gorgeous (and very private) restaurant I'd picked for our date night. We'd barely seen each other lately with various Avengers/SHIELD/adjacent responsibilities, so we'd both found a way to clear our calendars for an extended date night tonight. I'd volunteered to plan it, and Wanda had ensured nobody scheduled anything for us that would overlap on timing.
"Sounds perfect," Wanda said, leaning in to speak quietly in my ear as we reached the hostess stand. I gave her hand another squeeze and shot a little smile back over my shoulder, which was exactly the moment everything went to shit.
"No way," I hissed, scowling as my eyes locked onto a couple chatting at one of the tables overlooking the city. Wanda frowned, and then her gaze followed mine.
Goddamn Tony Stark. He was here on a date with Pepper. While I normally liked both of them, tonight was specifically designed for Wanda and I to take a break from the Avengers and all the challenges that came with them.
"It might not matter," Wanda whispered to me. "We can just ask for a table on the opposite end of the restaurant."
As if she'd conjured it, Tony chose that moment to glance in our direction. I groaned internally as he pointed us out to Pepper, and she turned around, giving Wanda and I a bright smile when she saw us. I did my best to return it, although it probably looked more like a grimace.
Tony waved us over, and I resisted the urge to scowl. I could swear I heard Wanda huff a laugh behind me as she pulled me towards the pair.
"Come on," she said, a grin on her face. "No way out of it now."
I hummed, but didn't resist. Really, how could I?
"Fancy meeting you two here!" Tony called as we reached his table. To my horror, he then turned and tried to wave for a waitress. "Let's pull up a pair of chairs, you two can join us."
"Oh, we wouldn't want to interrupt you guys..." I started, but Tony immediately waved me off.
"You're not, don't worry."
I turned to Pepper, and she'd just started to speak with a smile on her face when Wanda broke in with a gasp. I turned to find her staring at her phone with wide-eyes.
"I'm so sorry," she said, looking up at the two of us. "I just got a message from Pietro. We have to go."
My heart sank. Figures, we couldn't get a second alone either way. Run into people we know and get roped into joining them, or have something come up no matter how hard Wanda worked to prevent it.
We quickly said our goodbyes, Tony and Pepper insisting we plan something for the four of us to do together to make up for the interruption, then quickly headed out of the restaurant. I sighed as we made it to the parking lot.
"Alright, so is Pietro at the Tower or is he somewhere else?"
"I don't know."
I stopped short, turning back to Wanda. She just stared back at me after giving a little shrug. I frowned.
"What do you mean you don't know? Did he not tell you where he is? What was he messaging you for?"
"He didn't text me."
I frowned, not sure at first what she was trying to tell me, then my jaw dropped once an idea clicked. Wanda finally gave me a grin.
"When you say he didn't text you..."
"I mean I made up an excuse so we could leave and keep our date night interrupted. That was my job for this whole night, remember?"
I laughed, all the disappointment fading away as bright sparks of joy burst in my chest. I stepped forward and pulled Wanda into a kiss.
"You are amazing. Do you know that?"
"I do. But I don't mind hearing it."
We shared another laugh, and then I took Wanda's hand.
"Alright, let's get out of here. I've got a lot more than just dinner planned for us tonight, and even better, we can also get food at date location number two."
"Sounds perfect to me."
****************
After a brief walk, Wanda and I found ourselves in the middle of the most perfect, movie-level boardwalk I could find. We'd immediately gotten fair food, since we'd missed dinner at the restaurant, and now we were strolling down the alley of carnival games arm in arm.
"Well, we had a rocky start, but I think we managed to save our night," I said, absolutely beaming as Wanda and I took in the bright lights.
"I agree. This is absolutely perfect."
I turned to share a smile with her, and almost perfectly on cue, I heard familiar voices shouting from just a few booths down. I grimaced, but I didn't really have a choice but to turn and look over her shoulder.
I thought it was a hallucination at first, or maybe Loki was messing with us just for fun. But no. They were really here.
At the look on my face, Wanda turned slowly, too, to find Steve Rogers bowling pitches at carnival pins. Standing next to him and cheering him on were Bucky, Peter, and Shuri. She sighed at the same time I groaned.
"Did everyone choose tonight to go out?" she asked with a laugh. I threw my hands up and huffed.
"Apparently they did! This is ridiculous."
Wanda had a grin on her face, but apparently my exclamation had drawn some attention. The mini Avengers group started to turn in our direction, but I didn't let them finish the move before dragging Wanda after me and behind the row of carvinal booths. We slammed our backs against it, keeping quiet and still, and after a few moments I felt fairly confident we'd avoided our friends.
I felt a little bad, but not bad enough to go back out there and say hello.
"What's the plan?" Wanda whispered to me. I shot her a look, since we both knew whispering was excessive, but she just grinned at me.
"The plan is to get the hell out of here, get some ice cream, and go for a nice, peaceful walk on the beach without any of our friends interrupting us."
Wanda laughed again, the sound easing my nerves and loosening the frustration knotting in my chest. She slipped her hand into mine with a smile, and my heart did a backflip.
"Sounds great to me."
****************
Wanda and I had to duck and dodge a little bit to leave the boardwalk without being spotted, but our friends weren't looking for us, and we were both trained enough to manage just fine. We swung by the cute ice cream place I'd been looking forward to visiting, then took off our shoes and strolled through the surf together. We talked, laughed, and relaxed exactly like we'd been trying to all night.
At least, we did for about ten minutes. After ten minutes, we noticed another couple walking in our direction from further down the beach. I didn't recognize the woman headed our way, but I'd recognize the shock of light blond hair anywhere after dating its owner's sister for so long.
"This is getting ridiculous," I sighed, coming to a stop. Wanda gave me a concerned look, then followed my gaze and found her brother headed in our direction. Because of course he was.
"What is he doing here?" Wanda huffed, her voice showing irritation for the first time tonight. I just sighed again.
"Who knows? Maybe there's some big conspiracy to ruin our date night tonight."
"Well, whatever it is... do you mind if I suggest a plan alternative?"
I deflated a little as Pietro got closer to us. I'd been so determined to plan the perfect date night for the two of us, and my plans had been foiled at nearly every step. Although, to be fair, I guess Wanda's had too. She'd worked so hard to get everyone to do something else for the night so they wouldn't bother us, and it definitely hadn't worked out how she'd been planning.
I took a deep breath and shook off my irritation. I turned away from Pietro, who'd apparently noticed us and was now heading in our direction with a smile, and met Wanda's eyes. I smiled.
"I think a plan alternative is exactly what we need right now."
Wanda gave me a smirk that made my heart race, then wrapped an arm around me and pulled me towards her. She raised her free hand, since she'd finished her ice cream before we'd seen Pietro, and with a little chaos magic we lifted gently into the air.
"Hey!"
Wanda ignored Pietro's shout, and I almost did the same, until Pietro appeared below us in an instant thanks to his super speed.
"Where do you two think you're going? You don't want to say hi to your bro-"
He stopped short as I hurled the remainder of my ice cream cone at him. My aim was dead on, and he clearly wasn't expecting it, to the point that even his superspeed couldn't save him. It landed dead center on his shirt, and his outraged shout was enough to make both me and Wanda laugh.
Wanda and I went up, up, and up, until we were into the clouds. Thanks to a little help from her magic, we didn't get too cold, and even better, nobody that we knew would be able to see us up here. When we finally dropped back down again, it was at the top of one of the tallest peaks in a closed park at the edge of the city, giving us a perfect view and perfect privacy. We touched down gently, but Wanda didn't take her arm away from my waist.
"So... what do you think of this?"
"Perfect," I said with a grin, bringing my arms up to rest on her shoulders. I leaned in, giving Wanda a soft kiss, then resting my forehead against hers. The night was beautiful and peaceful around us, exactly what we'd been working so hard to find.
The two of us found a nice spot at the base of one of the trees to settle in, leaning against each other and looking out at the sparkling lights of the city. Wanda's arm rested across my shoulder while I wrapped one of mine around her waist. I'm not sure how long we sat like that, just enjoying our space alone, together. By all rights, we both should've been exhausted at some point, but the privacy was so rare and refreshing that we stayed up there to watch the sunrise. Our night may not have started exactly the way we'd planned it, but it had ended absolutely perfectly.

Y'all I need peak 2016 (but actually good) Avengers Tower fics where they're all living together like the weirdest roommates to ever exist.
Ya feel?
No I do not care what romantic pairings there are, I just need everyone alive. Bonus points if they heavily feature Natasha or if it's from her point of view. I don't mind a bit of angst, but I need the funny.
Thanks!

Easter morning:
You and Wanda were watching as Billy and Tommy hunt for eggs with the children of New Asgard.
Y/n: Thank you for inviting us over Thor. It's nice to see the twins having fun with other kids.
Wanda: Yes. It's been a while since we've gotten to do anything like this.
Thor: You're welcome, friends L/n and Maximoff. I should be thanking you for your parenting tips after I adopted Love.
After all the eggs were found, Morgan and Love were showing each other the eggs they found while Billy and Tommy were counting to see who got the most.

So this is but a simple concept that I conceptualized awhile back but in short, I was in the shower once and thought about a swap AU of sorts, but instead of like- just swapping counterparts (Like Sea Fairy->Black Pearl), I thought to make some rather extreme swaps and craft my own dumb storyline surrounding it so it aint merely just crk but with different characters.
I'll probably infodump about each person's whole deal but for now I'll just tell yall who's swapped with who
Gingerbrave -> Red Velvet
Strawberry -> Strawberry Crepe
Wizard -> Witchberry
Custard III -> Clotted Cream
Chili Pepper -> Black Raisin
Licorice -> Blue Lily
Choco Werehound Brute -> Lil Pepper
Pomegranate -> Churro
Poison Mushroom -> Lilybell
Lobster -> Icicle Yeti
Dark Choco -> Cloud Haetae

Witch Togame who doesn’t really act like a witch, at least from where you can figure. He’s your neighbor so you only see bits and pieces of his life, but you’re sure he’s a little weird.
He’s got a cat familiar, but it seems like he runs the show more than Togame ever does, dragging him around as the cat’s blonde fluffy hair bounces in time with him. The cat, who you find out is named Choji, stays partially human as far as you’ve seen. Sometimes when you’re making dinner, you think the cat who dips in under your window to beg for food might be him, but if it is, it’s mirthful eyes are the only thing that could maybe confirm it, if just a bit.
The only broom Togame ever used was to sweep the front porch of his house and when he sees you runny nosed and sneezing from a cold he runs into his house and grabs a bag of regular cold medicine, no potions or charms to speak of. When you ask he just shrugs telling you he could make something, but if this works just as good, why go through the extra steps?
He says that, but when you see the ghost of a cat tail swishing past your bedroom windowsill, a small sachet laying there, its presence already making you breathe easier, you think real witch or not he’s pretty sweet.
