I finally got my wall stuff up and I really love how it looks. I love to have different deity representations and other spiritual things in the form of art and wall hangings, so this part of my room feels really comforting. I also have a tiny space for Apollo and Artemis on my nightstand featuring the statues I use for my morning and nighttime prayers, as well as a new tarot card stand I just picked up. While my room isn’t completely finished, I love how this area is looking!

I've been extremely afraid of dreaming lately. And I'm not just afraid of bad dreams, I'm afraid of any dreams. I've had a lot of anxiety about dreams in the past, because I often have hyper realistic dreams that I struggle to wake up from. I also struggle with derealization when I'm awake.

I'm planning to talk to my therapist about this, because it's gotten so bad lately. However, I'm also hoping there's some sort of witchy thing I could do to help. I love the idea of dreamcatchers, but I know those are heavily appropriated. I'm going to do more research and see if there's something similar out there that is not appropriated or maybe buy an authentic one? I'd really like to make my own, but I want to do it right.

I'm also going to start keeping a dream journal and see if that helps. I'll update if I find anything helpful!

Finally got through finals, and I'm done with school for the rest of the year! Academics aside, I made a dream catcher and hung a crocheted mushroom from it, now it hangs above my bed. I also made a vest today, though it was originally ment to be a jacket. I have way too much free time lol

Ironically, I haven't made time to work on my book, despite thinking about it all the time.

The decorations on the bottom could use work tbh

It felt like the world was spitting in her face. Not too long ago she felt her skin being scraped by hot flames that took away everything she had known and loved. Now? Now it had the audacity to send freezing cold rains at her - rains that could have saved her home and her family had they appeared as magically that day as they did just now.

At least it was kind enough to wait until she'd made it back to the temple she was currently calling her home.

But being out of the rain didn't make it any less cold. It didn't make it any less painful. The survivor's guilt reared it's ugly head just as strongly as any other time and it made her feel so terribly and utterly alone.

And often times she forgot that she wasn't anymore. The warmth of a hand on her back to try and calm her quiet sobs startles her - but unlike those flames this warmth was comforting. She finds herself leaning into the deity and allowing herself to be held to shield her from the cold - both of the rain and her stormy emotions.

It's the first time in a long time she's felt able to relax again.
