"That's all nonsense," said Curdie. "I don't know what you mean." "Then if you don't know what I mean, what right have you to call it nonsense?" asked the princess, a little offended.

Dark! Platonic Father and Mother Faerie x Human! Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seraphina, was surprised when her husband, Sylvanas brought, you, a human child to their home in the faerie realm.
But was delighted when she got to know that he did this for her, because she was infertile.
Just ignoring the whole fact that her husband stole you from a human couple.
Your faerie parents, being creatures of magic, would enchant your surroundings with a touch of their otherworldly essence, creating a home filled with ethereal beauty and a sense of perpetual wonder.
They'd teach you the secrets of their enchanted realm, sharing ancient tales of mystical creatures, hidden realms, and the delicate balance between magic and the mortal world.
Despite their ethereal nature, your faerie parents would express love in unique ways – perhaps through the shimmering glow of their presence or the gentle touch of their wings as they embrace you.
As a part of the faerie realm, celebrations would be extravagant and filled with enchanting rituals, like dancing under the moonlit sky or sharing laughter that echoes through the enchanted woods.
Your faerie parents might gift you with magical items, each imbued with a specific power or purpose, serving as both a connection to their world and a means to protect you in the human realm.
While they understand the nature of human life, your faerie parents would instill in you a deep appreciation for the beauty of fleeting moments, emphasizing the importance of cherishing every experience.
Communication might involve a blend of spoken words and telepathic messages, creating a unique form of connection that transcends the limitations of mortal language.
Your faerie parents would guide you in developing a strong connection with nature, teaching you to communicate with plants and animals, fostering a harmonious relationship with the natural world.
They would be protective, using their magical abilities to shield you from harm while imparting wisdom to navigate the complexities of both the mortal and faerie realms.
The bond you share with your faerie parents would be enduring, transcending the boundaries between worlds.
And as you grow, they'd stand by you as guardians and mentors, always ready to offer guidance from the enchanting depths of their timeless existence.

I'd love to see more Lost Woods Wisdom (I think that's NES link?). Maybe interacting with fairies? Does he have a special fairy form? I love his woodsy outfit.
Tumblr media
Wisdom is NESLink, yes! I wasn't sure how to depict him with fairies, so I made up for it by doing several little doodles of him instead. He's a little bit of a brat.
No special fae form, it's just him, but a faerie

It is believed that this name originates from the fact that it was a signal for hunters to prepare for the upcoming cold winter by going hunting. This is because animals were beginning to fatten up in preparation for the winter season. Moreover, since fields had recently been cleared out under the Harvest Moon, hunters could easily spot deer and other animals that had come out to search for remaining scraps. Additionally, foxes and wolves would also come out to prey on these animals.
The earliest use of the term “Hunter’s Moon,” cited in the Oxford English Dictionary, is from 1710. Some sources suggest that other names for the Hunter’s Moon are the Sanguine or Blood Moon, either associated with the blood from hunting or the color of the changing autumn leaves.

• Day of the Dead- (Spanish: Día de Muertos or Día de los Muertos) is a holiday traditionally celebrated on November 1st and 2nd, though other days, such as October 31 or November 6, may be included depending on the locality. It is widely observed in Mexico, where it largely developed & is also observed in other places, especially by people of Mexican heritage. Although related to the simultaneous Christian remembrances for Hallowtide, it has a much less solemn tone and is portrayed as a holiday of joyful celebration rather than mourning. The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pay respects and to remember friends and family members who have died. These celebrations can take a humorous tone, as celebrants remember funny events and anecdotes about the departed.
• All Saints Day- is a Christian solemnity celebrated in honor of all the saints & martyrs of the Church, whether they are known or unknown

Samhain is a Gaelic festival on 1 November marking the end of the harvest season and beginning of winter or "darker half" of the year. Celebrations begin on the evening of 31 October, since the Celtic day began and ended at sunset.
This fire festival is celebrated on October 31st & is considered the Pagan New Year. It is the first Sabbat on the Wheel of the Year, a cross-quarter festival & the third (final) harvest festival of the mundane year. This is the time when the veil between the worlds of the living & those who have passed is the thinnest, which allows greater communication between the two
Some believe this is the time of the Goddess's mourning of the death of the God until his rebirth at Yule. The Goddess's sadness can be seen in the shortening, darkening days & the arrival of cold weather

Sorry if I sound Impatient 😭
This is my Cookie named KitKat Cookie and her pet Muffin and her little mini Stuff Animal of Cream Ferret Cookie named Li'l Cream
Tumblr media
Can I please have a reaction from Mama WL, Papa PV and Grandpa Elder Faerie for they're tail that grew for some reason and where they got there pet Cakehound? 👀
Pure Vanilla would be most curious on your tail, but supportive of your Cakehound regardless of where you got it.
Same applies for White Lily, while she is curious on how cookies can grow tails like that, she doesn’t mind where your Cakehound is from as long as you’re okay with it
Elder Faerie might provide a few words of wisdom when it comes to caring for another creature. The tail you have doesn’t matter as long as it’s still part of you.

The Most Common Types of Fairy Godmother in "Cinderella" Adaptations
Since @ariel-seagull-wings and I have already posted about the different portrayals of Cinderella and her prince, I thought it might be nice to look at the different portrayals of the other characters too.
Each portrayal of the Fairy Godmother is unique, but patterns do emerge across the different adaptations. I've found that the different portrayals of the character can be divided into five categories, with some portrayals combining two of them together.
The Regal, Ethereal Lady
Tumblr media
This beautiful, elegant creature is emphatically a fairy godmother, not a godmother who happens to be a fairy. She wears a gorgeous flowing gown, not of any earthly fashion, and though her age is indeterminate, she seems youthful yet wise. Her demeanor is kind and gentle, yet serious and stately, though she might have a slight playful streak. She takes on the role of the story’s moral authority as well, usually emphasizing that she comes to reward Cinderella for her goodness. Often, she first appears disguised as an old beggar woman to test the respective virtue of Cinderella and her stepfamily, and Cinderella earns her good will by giving her bread while the stepfamily scorns her. Sometimes she has attendant fairies or other magic-users to assist her as well: she might even be portrayed as the Fairy Queen, who lives in the forest like Shakespeare’s Titania and has countless fairies, elves, and sprites as her command. Fairy Godmothers of this type are most often seen in earlier adaptations: they include “La Fée” in Massenet’s opera Cendrillon, the Fairy Godmother in Prokofiev’s ballet, Inez Marcel in the 1914 silent film, Varvara Myasnikova in the 1947 Russian film, Celeste Holm in the 1965 version of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical, and the animated Fairy Godmothers both in the 1935 Betty Boop cartoon Poor Cinderella and in the 1979 Russian animated short.
The Grandmother Figure
Tumblr media
This Fairy Godmother is a little old woman, and she’s very human as fairies go. She might not be regal, or beautiful, but she radiates a sense of warmth and comfort like all the best grandmothers do. Her sweetness, gentleness, and maternal affection are just what Cinderella needs in her despair, and sometimes she can be adorably absentminded – forgetting where she put her wand, almost sending Cinderella off to the ball in her rags, etc. – which adds gentle comic relief to the story. Yet she also conveys the wisdom that comes with age, and her magic is just as powerful as that of any younger, more glittering fairy. The quintessential Fairy Godmother of this type is the one voiced by Verna Felton in Disney’s classic 1950 animated film. Several other animated versions aimed at children feature grandmotherly Godmothers too, like the versions from Jetlag Productions and Burbank Animation Studios. In the 1995 musical A Tale of Cinderella, “La Stella” is Cinderella’s actual grandmother, whose magic sadly couldn’t save her daughter’s life, but can save her granddaughter’s future. Jean Stapleton’s Fairy Godmother in the 1985 Faerie Tale Theatre adaptation is also very grandmotherly, although she has additional glamour and a sense of humor that bring her closer to the next type of Fairy Godmother on the list (see below).
The Sassy Glamour Queen
Tumblr media
She’s beautiful, she’s elegant, she’s as smart as a whip, and she knows it! This is a more modern, lighthearted twist on the Regal, Ethereal Lady. The sparkle of the gorgeous gown she wears is matched only by the sparkle of her playful wit, and her confidence in herself is surpassed only by her confidence in Cinderella. Her sense of humor lifts Cinderella’s spirit, while her intelligence, poise, and indefatigable spirit make her a strong role model for the girl. Yet though kind and caring, this Godmother tends to be a bit more standoffish than others – though not in a bad way. She urges Cinderella to solve her own problems, not just rely on her, and to have courage and faith in herself against all odds. The most famous Godmother of this type is probably Whitney Houston in the 1997 version of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical. But Edie Adams’ elegant and mischievous Godmother in the original 1957 Rodgers and Hammerstein telecast is a good example too: although since she spends most of the story masquerading as a human, she combines this portrayal with another type (see the bottom of the list). Meanwhile, Jean Stapleton’s Faerie Tale Theatre Godmother has the elegance and humor of this type, but as an elderly woman, she combines it with the Grandmother Figure. Last, but not least, is Billy Porter’s nonbinary “Fab G.” in the 2021 Sony/Amazon musical.
The Eccentric Mage
Tumblr media
This funny and kooky Godmother is one of those beings who combine magic with just a little insanity. Her mind is like her powers: not entirely of this earth. Like the Regal, Ethereal Lady, she tends to disguise herself as a poor, ragged old woman to test Cinderella’s virtue and befriend her before the ball – but she takes it a step further and masquerades as a crazy homeless woman, who spouts odd remarks and whom anyone less kind than Cinderella might try to avoid. Yet even when not in disguise, she’s a bit of a ditzy oddball, who sometimes fumbles her spells once or twice before she gets them right: e.g. dressing Cinderella in the wrong type of clothing at first, or turning the pumpkin into the wrong item, or accidentally making it grow to a gigantic, greenhouse-shattering size before it becomes a coach. Fairy Godmothers of this type include Helena Bonham Carter in Disney’s 2015 live action film, “Crazy Marie” in the 2013 Broadway version of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical, Joyce Gordon in the Muppets’ Hey, Cinderella! and Estelle Winwood as Mrs. Toquet in The Glass Slipper. Although since Mrs. Toquet never takes off her “crazy poor woman” disguise, she combines this variant with another one: The Godmother Who Happens to Be a Fairy (see below).
The Godmother Who Happens to Be a Fairy
Tumblr media
This is the most human portrayal of the Fairy Godmother: an ordinary woman who just happens to have magical powers, which she hides until they’re needed. Cinderella typically befriends her long before the ball, sometimes knowing her from childhood. She might be a household servant, or a kindly neighbor, or a traveling portrait painter, but whoever she is, you wouldn’t guess that she’s a fairy. She might even pretend not to believe in magic. She might also be Cinderella’s literal godmother – a close friend of her late mother’s, or even a relative. But no matter who she is, the friendship and the simple, human advice she gives to Cinderella (e.g. never to lose hope, or not to be afraid to love the Prince) are just as valuable as her spells. Edie Adams’ mischievous Godmother combines this characterization with the Sassy Glamour Queen in the 1957 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, Estelle Winwood’s Mrs. Toquet in The Glass Slipper combines it with the Eccentric Mage, and Annette Crosbie’s sensible and ladylike yet quirky Godmother in The Slipper and the Rose combines it slightly with the Eccentric Mage too. Other examples are the artist Paulette in the anime series Cinderella Monogatari, the cook Mandy in the original novel of Ella Enchanted (who is also the Grandmother Figure), and the pasta-stirring grandmother La Stella in the musical A Tale of Cinderella (ditto).

Agile Flyer. The Fae Fennec doesn't provoke opportunity attacks when it flies out of an enemy's reach.
Actions:
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 piercing damage.
Dust Sprinkle (Recharge 4–6). The Fae Fennec flutters its wings rapidly, releasing a cloud of magical dust in a 10-foot radius around itself. Each creature in the area must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or become charmed for 1 minute. A charmed target regards the Fae Fennec as a friendly acquaintance. The effect ends if the Fae Fennec or its companions do anything harmful to the charmed creature. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, with disadvantage if the Fae Fennec is within line of sight, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Reactions:
Fey Escape. When the Fae Fennec takes damage, it can use its reaction to turn invisible and fly up to its speed without provoking opportunity attacks. The invisibility lasts until the end of its next turn or until the Fae Fennec attacks, casts a spell, or deals damage.

TW: Death, death, death. | Content: Lilia Vanrouge, the reader is female, a fae noble.
Author's Note: I know vaguely of the next chapter but only enough to throw some information in, not anything spoiler. Needless to say, this is not canon-compliant because I know nothing about the Diasomnia chapter. The idea came to me in a fever dream and it's a "random bullshit go" creation.
Tumblr media
You can see death.
Not the spirits, everyone can see the spirits of death. Ghosts and wraiths roam your world, sometimes long after their time for departure and they are seen as a little more than a nuisance. Nothing is special about being able to see the dead, but you can do more than that.
You can see the time of death.
The exact moment before it sinks into a person, the final scene of their life before there is nothing left. It is a foresight if you can call it that, and it is something you have possessed since you were young.
You often thought of it as nothing but strange imagery back then. Children are easy to get spooked and their imagination runs wild when left unchecked. At least, that was what you believed until you saw your grandmother get run over by a carriage. Your mother, who had been the only one you confided in, turned to you and looked at you with pure terror.
Since then, she asked you to tell no one else about these visions. Even if people know about this power, what you see in them needs to be held inside until you, too, lie in your grave. Your mother’s wisdom has never failed you before.
Until now, it hasn’t failed you either.
The blessing of clairvoyance among the faeries is a whimsical one. Oftentimes, it overwhelms people by surprise and disorients them momentarily. You don’t have that luxury, however. You see the death of the person the moment you meet their eyes. The images replay in your head until you see nothing but their blood and bones. The warmth of their innards spills over your hands, everything feels soft and wet and—
You grow to be conscious of eye contact. It is better for you to face it to never be taken by surprise, but sometimes, you don’t see someone withering away on their bed, surrounded by loved ones. You see battles and the people who will fight in it. There is no peace, even when left to your own company. Because when you look in the mirror, you see the very same for you that you saw for everyone else.
The bitter end. The final minute. The last breath.
Yours is marred by raspberry red and the carnage breaking out in the distance. You're enveloped by warmth and there is something hot and wet on your cheeks. Salty when tasted and you knew it was tears. You don't remember much else about it, avoidance was the better alternative to going mad with worries.
All you know is that it'd happen in a fight and fights rage on everywhere now under the turmoil of war.
That’s why you stay away from the frontline, never mind your magic reserve. It is in everyone’s best interest that you don’t waste your life out there. Even though, sometimes, you believe it might have been a good outcome for the life you lived. Better to die for a purpose than to spend your time confined behind the castle walls.
At least, you believed that until you met him.
“I’ve always wondered what the Marchioness’s reclusive daughter looked like.”
You remember the day you met him. Even while strapped in his armour, his face hidden behind a menacing mask, he failed to pose an intimidating figure. Had he possessed a few inches taller maybe it would've been more effective. Not that it mattered when whatever danger he had to offer was not for you.
"And now you've seen her," you smiled genially, "I do hope I live up to whatever expectation you have in mind."
He angled away from you with the grace of a snake waiting to strike. "No, not really," he said, "you are more... beautiful than I expected, I was half-waiting for a hermit and half-hoping for nothing at all."
"Why nothing at all?" You asked.
There was a smile in his voice when he leaned forward. Even five steps away from you, he felt impossibly close. "Because that'd mean the Marchioness's lying, that'd have been interesting."
You snorted, "My apologies for disappointing, then."
"I think I prefer this," he laughed, "far better to see a beautiful woman than any alternative."
His comment put a coy smile on your face. "See, you've been doing nothing but praising my appearance since you showed up but hide yours behind a mask. I don't see how it is fair when I can't even see your face to return your compliment."
His laughter rang again. You decided it was not an unpleasant sound to hear. If anything, you like it better when it is not muffled. "My sincerest apologies for this misstep," he said as he lifted up the mask, "I'm afraid too long of a time on the battlefield had impaired my social grace. I pray you keep this error of mine to your heart and speak not of it to Her Majesty, lest she scold me again for my unintended slight."
He unequipped the mask. You saw his eyes. Everything clicked into place. Raspberry red had never been more foreboding than when it was on him. You should have known from the hair, the magenta which grew blurred in your vision. But you didn't, because you never wanted to remember, never wanted to know.
You saw it, too. The moment of his own death. Everyone was the same, he'd not be an anomaly. "Lilia Vanrouge, at your service," he smiled charmingly but all you could see was red. The red of his death, the red of your blood, the red of the battlefield.
Your throat went dry and your fist clenched on your gown.
You will love him. You will be the death of him.
That will not do.

Sturniolo Triplets/Sam & Colby as Mythical Creatures
Nicolas Sturniolo Griffin
Tumblr media
Nick was the easiest one to choose for me. The Griffin symbolises strength, courage and leadership in heraldry and in Christianity, it symbolises divine power, all of which I think relates to Nick directly. He is a very prominent person, his personality is overpowering in the best way possible and he tends to steer Matt and Chris in the right direction, his leadership is something they both look up to.
Matthew Sturniolo Vampire
Tumblr media
The reason I chose Matt as a vampire is because in folklore, the rumour of vampires was spread to invoke fear amongst people to shun those who were different. I think Matt has always felt very different from most people his whole life as well as the fact he just looks like he would be a part of the Cullen family. Y’all know I’m right.
Christopher Sturniolo Faerie
Tumblr media
The first thing that came to mind with Chris was a Faerie and it’s because it’s believed that Faeries appear to you to symbolise growth and illusion. It’s said that they are very complicated mythical creatures and I feel as though Chris is a very complicated person (in a good way ofc). Faeries are said to enjoy testing boundaries, games and conceal their motives which I feel like aligns with Chris perfectly.
Colby Brock Siren
Tumblr media
Originally, I had Sam and Colby switched but the more I thought about it, I realised a Siren fits Colby perfectly. Sirens are known to be creatures of the sea that lure sailors to their deaths in the water but it’s also believed the symbolism of Sirens are lust and the dangers of temptation. Colby is known to kinda mess with his fans and leave rumours not talked about regarding women in his life which I feel aligns with the allure of a Siren. Also, he’s hot so ofc he can lure women in, ya know.
Sam Golbach Dragon
Tumblr media
Last but not least by any means, I feel as though Sam would be a dragon. In religions such as Christianity, dragons are a symbol of evil. However, they can also symbolise supernatural power, wisdom, strength and hidden knowledge. In a lot of cultures, dragons are also known for their ability to be untamed which I think describes Sam perfectly. He is someone who won’t let others dictate his life and he, similar to Nick, has a very powerful presence. I do think Sam and Colby’s could fit either of them, but this makes more sense to me personally.
a/n: lmk if u guys agree w this and also if you want a part 2 with other things (e.g. flowers, cinematic universes, rolls in different movie genres, etc) i’d be more than down because this was genuinely so fun!! also this idea came to me because i saw @muwapsturniolo ‘s half-blood posts so credit to them bc it gave me HUGE inspiration for this!!
