I was just thinking about Bloom’s wager against Nebula. I mean, she won and got the wizards that trial, and Morgana said she’d given up revenge, but…what if she’d lost? If Nebula had defeated her, would Bloom have kept her word? Would she have gone into Sibylla’s cave and taken the wizards to Nebula? A deal is a deal, after all, and Bloom made Nebula keep her end of the bargain. Would Bloom just have walked into the cave and told Sibylla that she had bet the wizards’ lives and lost, so she had to take them to Tir Na N’og to face whatever horrible punishment Nebula had dreamt up? Sibylla would have definitely not been happy about that, but we’ve seen that she doesn’t interfere, so maybe she’d have to give in and give Bloom the wizards. So then rustic fairies show up in the wizards’ cave and say they have to come to the throne room, and Bloom has to miserably explain that she has to take them to Nebula. How would they react? I imagine horror, anger, and fear. And Ogron would probably feel really guilty, since surrendering to the Winx was his plan, so this is only happening because of him. Gantlos would be scared out of his mind for Duman, because he’s so sick and can’t face whatever Nebula’s planning. But they don’t have any magic, and Ogron said he was willing to abide by the Winx’s judgement when he surrendered, so they don’t really have a choice. So Bloom just has to Zoomix them to Tir Na N’og, and Nebula’s there waiting with warrior fairies, who probably grab the wizards as soon as they see them, and Bloom just has to stand there helplessly watching, because she made a deal, and she’s bound to keep her word. Nebula would probably gloat about having the Fairy of the Dragon Flame as her errand-girl, and Bloom would have to stop herself just attacking, because she won’t win a fight against these odds, so she just stands on the beach and watches Nebula drag the wizards away to do things she doesn’t even want to think about to them.

But! Maybe, later on, after she’s gone back to the other Winx, feeling guilty as hell, Tecna points out that she agreed to take the wizards to Nebula. She didn’t say anything about making sure they stayed in her grasp. So, realising she’s now free from the terms of the deal, Bloom rushes back to Tir Na N’og with the Winx, and they transform and burst into the throne room, action-hero style. And Nebula’s furious that they’ve interrupted the wizards’ punishment, but Bloom just attacks, and the Winx win the fight, because they’re the Winx and no way are they leaving the wizards here. Maybe Roxy even manages to get through to Morgana, appealing to her conscience over what she’s doing. Either way, the wizards are rescued and Bloom spends like an hour apologising while she heals everything Nebula did to them, and Sibylla probably gives her a lecture about betting people’s lives, because that is such a bad idea, and things could have turned out far worse than they did, and then everyone just passes out and sleeps for at least a day, because they’ve all had such a day that they just can’t face anything else for a minimum of twenty-four hours.

INDIVIDUAL WIZARD HEADCANONS (4 / 4)

-) Despite his somewhat cold upbringing he absolutely loves mundane activities with the people he considers his family these days and will schedule things such as movie or game nights every once in a while, under the guise of it being a teambuilding thing. If you consider scrabble teambuilding, sure. Will still pretend he's forced to be there though, especially if an activity is planned by someone else.

-) The amount of assassination attempts this man has survived is almost comical. A compilation of them would still take up an hour or two. He progressively became less phased by them as they went on as well, reacting with a mere sigh to the last few.

-) Horses are his favorite animal with cats a close second, but if he spots a horse and a cat next to each other, you bet the horse has his full attention. Knows how to care for them because his family owned a couple of horses themselves back in the day, his favorite one being his mother's. Ogron didn't learn how to ride one himself until a couple years after he left home.

-) Vain. So very vain. His hair routine takes forever and his skincare even longer. Buttering his pale ass up is unironically one of the quickest ways to get to him. In whatever way. Unfortunately the nature of his magic causes physical distortion to happen more quickly, so he gets fixed up the most frequently.

-) Cannot handle spicy food. It will make him go as red as his hair, cry real tears, no longer be able to breathe through his nose, it's awful. Has threatened people over this and consumed SO much milk. Most lactose tolerant person on the planet.

-) His father's side of the family used to consist of noble and high-ranking magic users, but they all began seeking out human partners to dilute the magical bloodline due to. Prior agreements. With certain "people". Ogron himself would've been forced to marry a human as well, but obviously chose to make an attempt at saving what little remained of the ancient magic roots in his blood instead.

I prayed to every deity for many years for winx club to abandon the main series entirely and just commit to a full reboot because of the eternal retconning, whitewashing, confusion on target audience, etc. I sat in the trenches of the fandom as a teenager as season 8 was teased and aired and even watched the episodes fan-translated before they were officially released in English.

And today I rejoice. We are, as they say, so back.

While watching WoW s2 I always wondered who Tinkerbell reminded me of. Now while rewatching Soul Eater I know it: Arachne. Their design is pretty similar and you can't tell me Tinkerbell's design wasn't at least inspired by Arachne:

Both have a bun, black hair and their necklaces look pretty similar. Even though Tinkerbell doesn't really have spider features, I can't get over the fact, that they look pretty much alike.

Did I already mention, that the change of Tinkerbell's design totally pisses me off? She looked way better with black hair. 😤

I’m watching this show for the first time in… probably a decade. Tecna is my favorite character, and most of that is due to the headcanon I heard that they are non-binary and neurodivergent because I can definitely see it.

my rankings on the winx opening

i could've ranked the season 7 opening version lower but i don't vibe with season 1 like this singer sings something but she doesn't know how since it doesn't go to its rhythm in my opinion i'm glad they improved it in season 2, that's why that version is ranked so high after 4kids and WOW openings speaking of 4kids, i have a problem with that version but the opening isn't one of them, infact i wished this was in the RAI (cinelume) version, the openings sticks with the story, Bloom is looking for something about her past and her family and that singer sings about that story i love the WOW opening version, the winx have matured in that version like they doesn't go to school yet still have missions and the winx stays together like they are a family, i vibe with that song for some reasons and just like i've mentioned, Season 2 and 3 version is a improvement from Season 1, it sticks more with the story then the Season 1 opening one, i rank it very high for that reason then comes Season 4, the song is great and the opening sounds like as if the winx have matured, it mentions about believix since the power IS about believix and it's like the winx sticks with each other and for the way how it's being seen it really proves it i might take you by surprise but Season 8 is the next one, i have problems with Season 8 but the opening one isn't one of them because the singer tells a story about how the winx and the specialist deals with a situation when it comes to struggles, dangers and actions, the singer tells a story with what's going to happen and what this is based about, it's really great, it's an improvement from the last 3 seasons (season 5, 6 and 7) 4kids, World of Winx, Season 2 version from RAI, Season 4 and Season 8 did great with the openings, these are in my top 5 outside the top 5 is Season 5 like it's not bad but not that great neither, it's in the middle, the song is catchy but they could've hire a better singer for this since it sounds kind of off-key to me, i quite like the lyrics but it's missing something which i can't put my fingers on it how or why but i DID loved how it said "girls power gonna save the day" since like the usual the winx saves the day for everybody next up is the Nick version (Nick specials and Season 4 in the Nick version) and i'd say it's not bad but it's not as strong as the top 5 one, i can't put my finger on it but the singer doesn't sounds so powerful in this version, it's rather boring but the lower ones are worse in my opinion in the 3rd last place is Season 6, my LEAST favourite Season out of the 8 (or rather 9 if World of Winx counts?) but NOT my least favourite openings, i feel like this singer sings something that doesn't make sense in my opinion, don't ask me why but i don't vibe with this song and the music in itself is quite weird like i don't know...like how it's all about music but not about the actual story or something? lower on the list yet not the last one is Season 7, i feel like not only is it a toddler show but also an toddler opening song, it doesn't feels or sounds like winx club at all, it failed with the actual plot season 1 in rai version is already mentioned so i leave it at that, it's my least favourite opening out of all the other openings, they also could've hired a better singer since it sounds like this singer have a flu or cold but still decided to sing so that she won't dissapoint the others, i love Season 1 but this opening version isn't one of them these are my rankings and i have a tiermaker version of it

Some Thoughts About Sibylla’s Cave

Hi! I just wanted to talk about something that nags at me in Winx. (Warning: I might go on a bit.)

When the wizards surrender to the Winx, they take them to Sibylla, and we see them in the next episode, with Duman’s condition having worsened. Badly. He’s feverish, moaning, and seems to be delirious. And yet…Sibylla has him lying on what is basically a slab of stone. I mean, look!

His head is not even supported! So not only does he have some kind of mystery disease, he now probably has neck problems. And back pain. And if he wasn’t running a fever, he’d probably be freezing. Could Sibylla not spring for a bed? Or at least a pillow? Something? He looks so uncomfortable, and I feel so bad for him, because he’s already so sick! I wish Sibylla had tried to make him comfortable.

And now onto part two…

Here’s the cave the wizards are in. We can see some interesting stuff…uncomfortable stone bed, tree that seems to be growing underground (maybe it’s just roots), stone seat thing… You know what we can’t spot? Anywhere for the other wizards to sleep. Now, maybe they have their own rooms. Maybe this is the Duman cave. Maybe when it’s time to go to sleep the other wizards go to their own caves, with their own ridiculously uncomfortable stone beds. But…I really can’t see that being the case. It feels like this is the cave the wizards are staying in. In which case…where do they sleep? Are there beds hidden out of shot? Or do they have to sleep on the floor? Which would probably be even more uncomfortable than Duman’s stone ‘bed’. And would make me think a bit less of Sibylla.

Also, are the wizards actually allowed to leave that cave? (This is putting aside the ‘they have their own rooms’ theory). We see them come to the throne room (is it a throne room? It has a throne. And it’s a room. Or a cave, I guess. So, throne cave), but they’re flanked by Rustic Fairies, who are presumably acting as guards. So maybe the wizards are limited to that cave. Does that mean they’re technically Sibylla’s prisoners? Or are they her guests? Or just the people she has to keep alive long enough for Morgana to calm down and agree to an unfair trial? (Being judged by the people who have spent the past weeks trying to kill you is in no way, shape or form an impartial court. Not even if Morgana says she’ll judge the wizards ‘in all fairness’. She’s biased. Very, very biased. She would not get put on the jury if the wizards were being tried in an actual court of law.)

Oh, and, final thought:

Where is Gantlos? Seriously, where? The Winx have shown up to explain about the supposed ‘fair trial’ they just fought Nebula to get; shouldn’t Gantlos be there for that? He’s probably just out of the shot, but it’s weird he isn’t shown.

Going off the idea that the wizards are allowed to leave that cave, I’m headcanoning that Gantlos wasn’t there because seeing Duman in that state just hurt too much, and he didn’t want the Winx to witness him barely managing to not fall apart, so he’s in another bit of the cave desperately trying to keep it together. Or having a breakdown. Possibly having a breakdown. Ogron and Anagan will fill him in on the situation later.
