everyone in the magic dimension has magical powers, including the specialists

a lot of fans tend to use harry potter/atla logic in winx club. in those universes not everyone owns magical powers, even though someone in the family does. i don't honestly think it's the case of winx club.

the magical dimension was created by the great dragon who brought life and magic. each planet in particular has their own magical power. so the entire universe is made of magic, right? then why should someone be powerless?? that's why i think everyone has magical powers, simply ppl don't want to use it. (they may attend normal high schools/universities instead of alfea) in general it doesn't make sense to call them humans since they weren't born on the earth. they are all aliens

big example are the specialists which is a weapons based squad. they aren't even actually completely useless in an universe of wizards and fairies! in fact they are pretty helpful in wildland episodes because winx girls can't transform. they are probably a special force, useful in anti-magic environments. so they decided not to use their magic to become good knights. in any case they need to be magical creatures since they can easily cross alfea's barrier (we should talk about this barrier anyway, since they don't deal with humans much who is it meant to be for?? i suppose some animals that aren't fairy animals, who knows)

in general winx club works differently from other magical worlds. in the most of fantasy books characters were born as witches or faries. instead in winx club ppl were born as magical creations who can decide how to use their magic. mirta in fact at first was a witch then she became a fairy.

to sum up winx club shouldn't be compared to other fantasy works because this universe works in a COMPLETELY different way

Rating the new winx club designs cause I can 😌

Techna- 10/10

It's crazy how Techna looks like the fashionable one in the group, rather than Stella. This design is literally so cool and I love the holographic two piece set. Her hair is also eating. I JUST LOVE IT SO FREAKING MUCH.

Aisha- 7/10

Plain and simple, I actually quite like it. The colors are quite remenicient of her s2 outfit. I think its cute and I like the little cut out details. It's a pretty safe outfit, not very interesting though.

Stella- 2/10

Words cannot describe how much I hate this outfit. It. Is. So. Freaking. Ugly. The weird golden pastel yellow is clashing with the pastel purple in the weirdest possible way and that's not even the worst thing. I dont know what the hell is going on with the skirt thingy, but like it does NOT look good No thank you. I despise it. you're telling me the fashionista of the group left the house in that outfit?! No. No.

Musa- 8/10

It's giving Kpop Idol Stage Outfit x Airport fashion in the best possible way. It's really cute. I love the slim bodysuit with the crop top. I didn't realize how much I missed her short hair until now, God the nostalgia. 🤧

Flora- 8/10

Not bad, but not my most favorite. Kudos to them to manage to make that green work with that shade of purple/pink. I like the belt on her waist, it's giving very much 2000s. I really like the flower details on her cropped denim jacket, but imo, the og Winx flora had better fashion... ;-;

There are many new designs and that includes the Trix, and people talk about them, but have they already talked about the new designs of the professors? You know... PALLADIUM?

Will he change anything about his clothing, hair?

if he shows up, there might be a chance to see him in the last stage of his evolution! I would really love for that to happen, although, well, according to the information that was given to us along with his 3 stages, it also says that in his last evolution he should return to his land of origin, but what if he doesn't?

It is also mentioned that the last stage of evolution is a winged creature (probably like a fairy) imagine Palladium with wings, OMG!!

There are many theories that I want to talk about but I wouldn't like to make this post so long besides there are many that probably won't become reality, but it's okay to dream!!

So, the new teaser video…

Let’s start off here. Can I just say that I’m in love with Flora’s outfit? Absolutely in love. I think it’s beautiful and suits her to a t. I actually really like Aisha’s too. I like that it isn’t too complicated, has a similar colour scheme to her original outfit, and that she’s allowed to dress more athletically. Tecna’s is lovely, though I’m not so sure about the colour, to be honest. Don’t know why. Maybe it’s how similar it is to the background. Musa’s a tomboy again! And she has her iconic bunches back! The outfit is actually really cool, I like it.

Oh, Stella…what are those pink things?! What are they? They have zip edges. Why? I like her hair, but bunches on Stella? I don’t know. She had them for Love and Pet, I guess. The top is cute, but the skirt is a disaster. Just…what was wrong with making it gold? I saw designs for that, they were pretty. A lesson I’ve learned from designing OC’s is that you don’t have to throw detail at something for the sake of it. Please don’t. Seriously, it’s hurting my eyeballs.

I actually love this hair. It’s gorgeous. The top, I could take or leave, but the hair is amazing. I love that her hair changes for her fairy form; they did that in the og, and I love it.

Flora is probably the prettiest in this redesign. She’s just so beautiful. And she has a version of her old bangs! Yay! Her jacket is gorgeous, gotta say. Also, from the sounds of things, she’s actually going to be Latina in this, which I really like. Gorgeous girl.

Continuing with Flora, we get clips of her transformation! And she looks nice! The choreography is really good, with very smooth animation, though this design is almost more detailed than Enchantix, which feels kinda off to me, honestly.

Hoping to God that this is Wizgiz, because it won’t be Alfea without him.

I actually love this design. It gives Oxford or Cambridge vibes, though I miss the old Alfea. I miss the pink. Baby pink isn’t Stella’s thing, it’s Alfea’s. At least in this design I can see how they have space for everything, which I did always wonder, honestly.

And we get a peek at Bloom’s transformation. I like Flora’s better, honestly. I’m glad we get Bloom in blue again, but…something about this doesn’t vibe with me. I think the shade is just the tiniest bit wrong. I do like it, though. But, again, feels too detailed for a base form. Maybe we aren’t getting higher forms, but I don’t want to be robbed of Enchantix.

Wo, some basic thoughts on what we saw in the new video. I like it. Not as much as the old version, and we’re still lacking any wizards, but I like it. I’ll be watching. What does everyone else think?

Thoughts on/Rating the S9 images that will probably be wrong in 3 months LETS GO -

Tecna is the best. Hands down, 10/10. I don’t care if they threw it together at the last minute to avoid backlash, give whoever designed her a goddamn raise. The bob with purple streaks, the vinyl skirt, it’s so perfect I can’t handle it. Me to Reboot Tecna:

Please let that be real. Please let the metal arm stay, Straffi.

My girl Musa is an official SHORT QUEEN, a popular headcannon that’s been going for years. I’m thrilled someone finally listened. Her iconic pigtails are also back, which is a bonus is my book (do they kinda look like Marinette’s from Miraculous? Yes, because Rainbow’s gotta steal one thing per season for Winx). The outfit isn’t my favorite, but better than others I’ve seen her in. A very respectable 8.5/10.

Rainbow’s art department raised enough money for brown paint, which is great news for Aisha! No more whitewashing! Her braids are stellar, her look is sporty, just very cute in general. The color scheme is very different from her original look, but I like it. Give Aisha bright colors. Let her be happy. And now tallest girl? 9/10

Flora’s look is the most similar to the OG series. Really the only difference is that weird ass green jacket - thing looks like it came off a one-day Project Runway challenge. It seems waaaay too structured compared to the rest of the outfit. That’s legit my only note. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, I guess. 7.5/10

Bloom’s look says 2 things; “I’m Bella Thorne from Shake It Up!,” and Certified Horse Girl™️. I do not vibe with either. Bloom is not either. Why is she in pink again? Why is her belt so big - Bloom is so impatient and always in a rush, do you think she has time to put a belt on every day? I get the skirt is paying homage to the S3 one, but the rest is…a choice. This would be lower if Bloom wasn’t my favorite character. But she is, and it’s not the worst look. 6/10.

No, no, the worst look here is your favorite Solarian princess and mine, Stella. I get Rainbow was trying for a new look, but it doesn’t land for me. I don’t like the sunglasses, I don’t like that her dress is pink because that’s never really been Stella’s primary color - it’s more Flora and Tecna’s (and now Bloom’s I guess because UGH). She’s also wearing sleeves, which Stella rarely wore in the series because she is the fairy of the sun and I always thought that was a cool wardrobe detail. The only times she’s worn long sleeves (as a primary outfit in the season) were in S6 with her Alfea uniform, and Season 8, which barely counts. Just…make it orange. Or yellow, or even blue. It would fix so much. 5/10 for doing this ray of sunshine so dirty.

Also, if we can afford new civilian and transformation outfits for the girls, we can do the same for Ogron and the Black Circle. C’mon guys. Also! Why does Ogron have a dark dragon? What the fuck does that mean? Please do not pull a S8 Valtor on the Wizards. They don’t deserve it. And probably get Duman in there before the fans come after you.

Happy New Year everyone !

Let's start 2023 with something you might have not expected from me, namely redrawing the picture of Winx girls from the upcoming season 9. Of course I had to put my own spin on it, because e.g. I'm not convinced about Tecna having braided pigtails, but I like braids in general, so I came up with a more practical hairstyle which Tecna would choose for herself, I believe.

So we got an official preview...

The official Winx party in Rimini happened a few hours ago and oh, my God. We were fed! I have many thoughts and feelings I'd like to share... Obviously, it'll all be below the cut and spoiler warning so no one gets spoiled if they don't want to be! All images provided are screencaps from the preview video which I will link.

However, before we go on. One thing to say: Rainbow, please don't use AI in promotional material.

Spoilers below the cut!

First up: the fairy forms (or at least what we see of them).

I'm not really sure how exactly I feel about Bloom because blue and pink again... I long for blue and yellow Bloom to come back. But it is what it is.

Aisha's outfit reminds me of synchronized swimming costumes and her wings look like fins or even water droplets. Her hairstyle is really cute, honestly.

Musa's outfit looks like an updated version of her original MW outfit and I'm honestly here for it. Both she and Aisha have really cute boots on, too. I'm not really a fan of giving her braids but I could warm up to it. Also, her wings are freaking keyboards! I'm obsessed.

Stella looks very pale and the shade of orange for her outfit blends too much with her hair but that might honestly be the lighting because it was a recording on a screen. Her top and wings are giving sunbeams. I'm glad her bangs are back... Even though not in her civilian outfit. Maybe season 2 will bring her bangs back in all forms!

Tecna's outfit is once again the weakest. However, her wings are honestly really fun and I love her hair! Maybe her outfit will look better when we get a full view of it?

Out of all of the Winx, Flora is the only one we get. Her outfit, like Musa, looks like an update of her original form. Her wings have the same shape as her old ones, too, but I like that there's more colors to them. I am not a fan of her boots. Like at all.

Now, onto the civilian outfits.

No real comments to make other than... Stella is ghostly pale and her outfit is the weakest out of the bunch. Bloom still has that weird outfit that desperately needs some work.

There's nothing much to say about the voices other than Musa and Aisha sounded a bit too similar. I love Flora's accent.

Honestly, I'm really looking forward to the Winx reboot, in terms of both animation and writing.
