Rating the new winx club designs cause I can 😌

Techna- 10/10

It's crazy how Techna looks like the fashionable one in the group, rather than Stella. This design is literally so cool and I love the holographic two piece set. Her hair is also eating. I JUST LOVE IT SO FREAKING MUCH.

Aisha- 7/10

Plain and simple, I actually quite like it. The colors are quite remenicient of her s2 outfit. I think its cute and I like the little cut out details. It's a pretty safe outfit, not very interesting though.

Stella- 2/10

Words cannot describe how much I hate this outfit. It. Is. So. Freaking. Ugly. The weird golden pastel yellow is clashing with the pastel purple in the weirdest possible way and that's not even the worst thing. I dont know what the hell is going on with the skirt thingy, but like it does NOT look good No thank you. I despise it. you're telling me the fashionista of the group left the house in that outfit?! No. No.

Musa- 8/10

It's giving Kpop Idol Stage Outfit x Airport fashion in the best possible way. It's really cute. I love the slim bodysuit with the crop top. I didn't realize how much I missed her short hair until now, God the nostalgia. 🤧

Flora- 8/10

Not bad, but not my most favorite. Kudos to them to manage to make that green work with that shade of purple/pink. I like the belt on her waist, it's giving very much 2000s. I really like the flower details on her cropped denim jacket, but imo, the og Winx flora had better fashion... ;-;

New Winx Design: Personal Thoughts Because Why Not lol

Aisha:

❤️ love the dreads and her face shape is so cute! It looks like she has defined abs which is cool if she's meant to be particularly more fit.

💔 her outfit is plain compared to the other girls. It doesn't really have a personality to it other than she's sporty and the bright colours make it less cool as well. Aisha deserves better, her outfit shouldn't look like that of a background character!

Bloom

❤️ she looks just like her classic design! Although I prefer the fashion of the original Winx, for what this new Winx is going for, it's not bad. I like the colours!

💔 The bracelets and necklaces make her outfit look boho which doesn't fit Bloom. I'm also questionable on the plaid leggings, I can see how they work but I'd maybe go with a solid colour instead. I'm also confused about what that translucent thing over her right hand is?? But I can go without it.

Flora

❤️ Although I can't make out the whole silhouette, the style works for this iteration of Winx. It's more boho and the flower motif with the sleeves and frills are fun and creative!

💔 I prefer her classic eye shape much more, her eyes look too big here. I see some frill poking out above the belt and I'm going to hope that was an error because it'd be an awkward look. The belt could also be cuter or maybe replaced with some delicate chains/beads! I also think the top green part of her dress overwhelms the design and I'd make her hoop earrings gold instead.

Musa

❤️ I love this cool hair style and her outfit lives up to the fashion of classic Winx imo! I love the cool short sleeve jacket and vest with the big choker! Almost everything about this fit slays!

💔 the only things I don't like are the frilly top and the striped waistband. The top adds an unnecessary element of femininity that doesn't suit Musa and was something I didn't like being integrated into her design over the course of Winx. It could be a cropped tee instead! The waistband could also just be a solid purple.

Stella

❤️....

💔 I'm sorry but I find this Stella to be a serious down grade. Her style is very plain and uncreative for someone who's supposed to be the most fashion savvy. I also find it cliche to give her this pink preppy look because she's the "girly one" when her past design was so transcendent. I can see a colourful beaded bracelet too which makes her outfit look more childish, especially when that's the only accessory she has besides the shades. Her head also looks much bigger than everyone else's???

Techna

❤️ probably my favourite of the redesigns, I just love the commitment to the alternative neon punk aesthetic! The robotic details on her sleeves and tights are so cool and I love the overall metallic texture of her outfit. I like that they gave her bright makeup as well, she looks badass and the most modernized!

💔 no real complaints! I just hope the shoes are just as good lol

So from what I've gathered, Techna's optimal fit is a suit, undercut, and high heels (wedges). Could have worked in the 00s, as long as you add glitter

That shit would look good. @renfricrey also suggested jumpsuits which made me think of something like Solange Knowles' badass caped wedding jumpsuit too.

Favorite character: Icy. Hands down, Icy has been my favorite since I was like 4 or 5, it will literally never change. I’ve also written her for years now.

Least Favorite character: Darkar. His Phoenix form thing was cool, but otherwise? Nah. However out of the main girls, Stella was always my least favorite.

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon):  Oh god. Okay alright. Icy & Valtor, Flora & Helia , Darcy & Riven, Techna & Timmy, and uhh i know im forgetting one but i cant remember. Though Bloom & Flora would be really cute.

Character I find most attractive:  Again Icy but Valtor is also very close

Character I would be best friends with: Techna and Flora probably, maybe Musa too.

a random thought: how long does it take for Icy and Darcy’s hair to dry? Like geez.

An unpopular opinion: Okay as a kid i hated Diaspro. But at least first season Diaspro I can understand now that im older because she was engaged to Sky her whole life. I can get her being upset. after season 1 tho nah she’s just awful. 

My Canon OTP: Flora and Helia! They’re so sweet.

My Non-canon OTP: Icy and Valtor. Power couple. Power couple!

Most Badass Character: Probably Valtor tbh.

Most Epic Villain: Listen. Nothing was like Season 1 with the Trix & the dragon flame and army of decay. I will die on this hill. Though Valtor is also very epic and i love him.

Pairing I am not a fan of:  Icy & Bloom. I’ve never been a fan of it.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another):  THE TRIX. WHY DID THEY HAVE TO RUIN THEM AAAA.

Favourite Friendship:  Ooo hard to say. I liked Bloom and Flora a lot. The Specialist all together were pretty nice too outside of Riven. 

Character I most identify with: Techna. Definitely Techna. Some of her lines or things other characters say to her still hit too close to home for me.

Character I wish I could be: I mean maybe not BE but i want Icy’s looks and confidence. and power.

Skyler Samuels as Esme Frost (& the other sisters) in the Gifted was such a good casting decision, and i think she’d be amazing at another ice queen villain.

darcy

i would actually keep Sadie Soverall as darcy because i’m absolutely in love with her portrayal of the Trix. i think she’s fantastic at it. one of the only reasons i kept watching the show.

stormy

i know Amandla is pretty innocent looking, especially because of her portrayal of Rue in the Hunger Games, but her portrayal in The Darkest Minds is actually what made me decide she’d be a good fit. she can do ruthless and cunning really well.

sky

i don’t think there was anything wrong with Sky’s actor by any means, but i definitely don’t think he really looked the part. in my mind i imagine Sky as a young Thor. so i’d prefer someone like Luke Benward with longer hair.

brandon

i really hope they add brandon in season 2. i’m thinking someone like Booboo Stewart.

riven

the show’s riven is some weaselly little sniveling twerpy shit when the OJ riven was pretty badass, and really buff. i’ve read that he’s supposed to be east asian as well, which would add another tally to how many characters they white washed. Jordan Rodrigues is a Malaysian actor and he’s a little too old for the role, but i think he’d be perfect!

timmy

i think we can all agree that the addition of Timmy and Techna would be ideal. as much as i love our iconic ginger, i have to say that after watching Quincy Fouse in Legacies, i think he would be able to match timmy’s energy entirely.

Helia

now, listen, hear me out: Fate has established that women can also be Specialists, and men can be fairies. i really think Lana Condor would be an amazing fit for Helia. plus, Flora definitely deserves a girlfriend.

nabu

i’m hoping nabu will come in during a later season too. we’ve seen Caleb McLaughlin in Stranger Things, and he’d definitely be a good fit. alternatively, Quvenzhané Wallis would do a fantastic job.
