Well fuck. Somehow I didn't predict this, don't know why. I've got one episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier left and yeah yeah I'm shipping Winterfalcon, I'm making up convoluted reasons for the 2014!Winter Soldier to get yoinked to the light side by Joaquín Torres, but also. In a stunning turn of events no one could have possibly foreseen, my rapid hop from Victor Creed feels to Sam Wilson feels has resulted in me now making up convoluted reasons for them to meet now. WinterFalcon Bingo Round Two 2022-2023 Masterpost

Midnight Lover (E, 3.7K, Vampire AU) - Sam Wilson has a lover. Someone he only sees at night. Sam knows can't possibly last. But Sam keeps seeing Bucky Barnes, nonetheless.

Before You Go (M, 1.6K, There Was Only One Bed) - On a dark and stormy night while Sam's house sitting Sarah's place in Delacroix, he hears a knock at the door...

Impractical Magic (M, 10.7K, Spell Gone Wrong) - Sam's family is beloved by their town, charmed with all sorts of gifts. However, like everyone in his family, all of Sam's lovers are cursed with bad luck.

For the Holidays (M, 25.6K, Blind Date, Wrong Number, Bad Pickup Lines) - After Sam is dumped by his girlfriend, Bucky suggests he pretends to be Sam's boyfriend while Sam's visiting his family for the holidays.

Music to his Ears

This is a fill for  the WinterIron Discord server’s Pride Prompt Party event :  Day 19 - Armored Heart.

Rating: General Pairing(s):  Bucky/Tony Warnings/Triggers/Tags: Rock Band AU, Meet Cute, Love at First Sight Summary:  At Sam’s recommendation, Bucky checks out a new band:  JRV-I5   Word Count: 414

Bucky wasn’t sure at first why he had to be here tonight.  After all,  Sam was the  A&R rep for WinterFalcon Records - the one responsible for finding and hiring new talent.   Bucky didn’t take over until they were actually in the studio, sitting at the soundboard and trying to capture lightning in a bottle.

But Sam had insisted, and so  Bucky had come all the way across town to this hole in the wall club in order to check out the somewhat oddly named band JRV-I5.

The moment they walked on stage, Sam’s invitation made perfect sense.  The lead singer was exactly Bucky’s type:  a lean, lithe hottie with dark, spiky hair and deep brown eyes outlined in kohl. Dressed in a black tank top and jeans that looked like they were painted on - he sauntered up to the mic and the band rolled right into a set of cover songs - 80’s classic rock, mostly.

After about twenty minutes of a performance that had everyone in the place on their feet, cheering and singing along,  the lead singer called for a break and with a grin, introduced the band.

A fierce-looking redhead was on the drums - easy to see why she was called Pepper.  Happy the bassist was anything but; glaring out at the crowd during the set as if everyone there owed him money. As for Rhodey, he had been laser focused on his axe as his fingers flew over the strings,  combining impressive technique with creative inspiration for a couple of scorching solos.    

But truth be told, Bucky had been transfixed by Tony: the combination of charisma, bravado and sensuality in his  performance brought Freddie Mercury, Prince and Jim Morrison to mind.  

Once the crowd had settled down a bit,  Tony called out “Okay - time for some of our own stuff.  We’re gonna kick things off with something a little on the personal side:  ‘Armored Heart’.”

From the first few notes, Bucky was hooked.  While the song was definitely influenced by the same music JRV-I5 had  covered, they brought a new, fresh feel to it that  he could already tell had the potential to go big. Really big.  

As for the lyrics - Tony belted them out as if they were torn right from his soul.  

I’ve got an armored heart - (Oh oh-oh!) I’ve thrown away the key -  (Ahh ahh) I’ve got an armored heart - so don’t you dare start Lovin’ me

Bucky couldn’t help but take those words as a challenge.

Oh hello!! I happen to be one of the mods for @winterfalconevents — we’re one of the (many) event blogs for SamBucky content! There’s no specific “qualifier” to participate in our events, just pop over and give the blog a follow and we’ll post when we start running another event! Generally there’s just a google forms signup and then you’re good to go! Our bingo is just wrapping up at the moment, but we’re planning on hosting a Big Bang sometime around august.

sambucky/halloween headcannons?

Both of them loved Halloween as a kid and decided to go to a party that Tony was holding

bucky is generally very indecisive about costumes and Sam is the kind of guy who thinks of something and sticks to it

Sam thought it would be funny for them to go as the avengers.

He claimed Iron Man and worked on the costume with his sister and nephews (Tony was impressed at the hard work that had went into it)

bucky said he was going to get an inflatable Hulk suit but instead made Falcon wings out of cardboard to piss off Sam.

On the way to Stark Tower, Sam saw a little boy dressed in his Cap suit and almost started crying.

lots of random passerby were dressed as amongus cremates so Sam had to explain Among Us to Bucky.

Sambucky Library is now hosting our third event: Sambucky Candy Hearts Event 2022! The event will run from February 1 to March 31, 2022, and the prompts are inspired by the romantic season. 

This is once again a writing event and a very relaxed one. There are no word limits and no pressure, but unlike last event there is no prize, just the fun of writing! Make sure both characters, Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, are present in the fic itself. You can write for any number of prompts, all of them or none at all.

WinterFalcon Week 2021

The prompt results for WinterFalcon Week have finally been tallied, and it's time to kick off this fanweek celebrating our favourite MCU duo! But first, a quick reminder on the rules and guidelines of this challenge.

WinterFalcon Week will run from the 19th-25th of August 2021, a.k.a. exactly five months after the airing of the first episode of TFATWS. Creation time starts as soon as you've got your prompts - which is to say, as soon as you finish reading this post. We'd like this to be a fun, relaxed challenge for everyone, so there is plenty of time to create an epic creation.

Furthermore, we will not be enforcing deadlines very strictly at all - so if you do happen to miss a day or two, absolutely no stress. We will keep reblogging Winterfalcon content right through to the end of the year! Meanwhile, you are free to complete as few or as many of the prompts as you want, and you can submit as many or as few creations per day as the muse inspires.

Any and all types of creative fanwork - fic, art, gifsets, photo edits, video edits, and more - are welcomed in this fanweek! The only criterion is that it must be centred around the MCU pairing of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes.
