And then the way Ray immediately punches him in the mouth when he properly understands the request and nonchalantly shakes his hand out after makes me wonder.....did Ray ever get taught how to fight properly?? Like without, you know. Hurting himself?

2.11 "Indestructible Henry part 2" ASDFGHJKL OH OKAY i am absolutely SHRIEKING that Henry tapped his cheek and said "just one time, in case it's my last chance?" and Ray CLEARLY thought that was a WEIRD FUCKING REQUEST but still VERY SWEETLY gave him a kiss anyway! And then Henry was asking to be PUNCHED! Like asdfghjklkkkkkk what the FUCK was this show??

It's easy to think of "dogs can smell fear" as some kind of figurative folksy aphorism until you have a sufficiently bad panic attack and you realize, Actually, apocrine sweat glands activated by stress produce sweat with a unique, strong odor easily detectable by many animals, including humans, and you realize that every dog you meet is probably thinking "wow that guy is SO scared."

2.10 "Indestructible Henry part 1" haven't finished the episode, and i know there's a second part, but i wonder if they're gonna say out loud that part of Ray's reticence to make Henry indestructible like him is that gaining that superpower very literally ruined Ray's life. Like it was used as an excuse for his dad (and the government?) to abuse and neglect him and it is explicitly played off as okay because none of the physical harm they caused him was permanent or long-lasting (to say nothing of the mental or emotional harm, which we see a lot of the results and echoes of in pretty much every episode). Also, i know they're both played for jokes but 1) i love how worried Ray is about Henry being hurt and how it makes him spiral about the ethics of Henry being his sidekick, and 2) i love Ray leaning into the increasingly melodramatic repetitions of "do you really want to know/see" because I just know that man is so fucking understimulated at all times and being goofy like that is enrichment for him. Someone please stuff a pumpkin with meat and give it to Ray to play with he's going insane down there.

Once More Into The Breach

I swear my financial crisis is almost behind me, but my scholarship doesn't kick in until next month and a month in hostels ended up being very pricy. Right now, I have $388 in my bank account. My last hostel payment is going to be about $330. So... Commissions! Fortunately, because I'm no longer in the US, I won't need more than about $150.
