Cedric The Sorcerer's age debate; 22 or 37?

This is an old debate in the fandom in regards of Cedric's age. I'm not really sure why is this such a big thing, but it is... I have some theories I'll be leaving for later in the post.

We have two different points of view: Cedric being around 21-25 or being 30-40.

Cedric is 21-25 years old theory:

My theories about why his age might got confusing for a part of the fandom:

Imagine you're watching a show for a long time and since the beginning you always saw a certain character in a certain way (in this case, having a certain age), and the creators of the show confirm without warning that your view was wrong the whole time, specially if the show left that info so ambiguous and open for interpretation for such a long time. It's frustrating and you might find it confusing and think it makes no sense, but in Cedric's case, the show never really implied the fact of him being in his 20s.

There is also that other group of people who saw Cedric as young as a way to justify his innapropriate shipp with Sofia. When the fans of this shipp discovered that he was 40 they denied it to themselves. I found some posts here on Tumblr about this some time ago that I'll add later in the post. That's one of them: (credits of two of Craig Gerber's tweets screenshots that I added to the post)

Edit: and you know what's funny? The YouTube channel that made this video is called "Cedfia Enthusiast". How ironic.

Cedric is 37-41 years old semi-canon:

We have three different semi-canon sources of this information: Craig Gerber's twitter, the STF pitch bible and Disney Junior instagram account.

Why are they semi-canon? Because all of them are directly related to Disney Junior but doesn't count as canon, and I'll explain why.

I like how he choose the words "probably closer" because he's not saying that this information is exact.

Why it's semi-canon: Craig Gerber usually told a lot of stuff to STF fans on twitter, and some of the info he shared was later denied in the show (probably due to the fact that the writers were still deciding if it would be in the show or not but in the end they decided that it wouldn't... still, it's coming from the main writer of STF).

Sofia The First Pitch Bible:

The Sofia The First pitch bible is a document with the "sketch" of the show, inclusing characters, appearances, plot, places, that stuff, including the ages, and a lot of info got changed from this document since the show was still being created and it was in constant change; for example, Cedric's parents had other names and they were supposed to be dead, but in the show they're called Winifred and Goodwyn and they're very alive. So the ages mentioned in that document are also not exactly canon, but directly made by people involved in the show to organize stuff, so it is related to canon in a way. It's extra content? For sure.

Disney Junior Instagram post:

The Disney Junior instagram page made a meme base for the followers to add their ages, names, favorite Disney character, and share with them via Instagram. The Disney Junior account itself tried with their characters as an example, including Cedric, and they said that his age is 41. But even though it was made by the Disney Junior Instagram account, the account is only responsible for making posts to promote the shows, the info they share is not considered canon, and Cedric's profile wasn't even correct because it said he would like to be a "magician" (he is a sorcerer) and his favorite Disney character was "Dr Facilier", when clearly it was always Merlin (he is a huge fan of Merlin in the show itself).

Arguments used to defend this info:

Sofia is said to get older as the show goes on, which means that four years have passed. I'm not sure if this information is canon or not (since her being 16 during STF: RM is not confirmed) but it's mentioned in different sources, and reinforced by Disney Junior's Instagram account (semi-canon)

The first season starts with Sofia being 8 and Cedric being 37. In the last season, she would be 11 and he would be 41, which makes the argument that he is 41 years old viable because Disney JR is referring to his age at the end of the show.

Cedric and Roland's age is close to one another: Cedric and Roland were children at the same time in the show, and Roland is the father of two 12 year old children. For Roland to have two 12 year old children and be Cedric's age at the same time (I'm talking about the supposed 22 year old age), he would need to have children before he even got to his 20s (or even 15), which does not make sense at all, specially in a toddler's show. In fact, Roland was a full adult when Queen Lorelei got pregnant and died after giving birth.

It's more likely that Cedric is around 37-41 since this information is coming from three different semi-canon sources, like the meme says: "If I had a nickel for every time [Cedric is said to be 37-41 yo], I'd have [three] nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened [three times]" (Dr. Doofenshmirtz)

The show doesn't give concrete arguments for Cedric being in his 20s, in fact the information the show gives about his age is open to interpretation, it also welcomes the idea of him being 37-41 as it doesn't go against that thought either. Even though it's not canon, if there was a scoreboard, it would be written "20s- 0 | 37/41- 3"

Some quick Mother's Day thoughts involving my next gen ocs...

Lolopechka with Maris, Neave, and Petrus

Maris spends the most time with Lolopechka as she's the future queen of Heart. Lots of their time is spent with lessons on magic and ruling.

On Mother's Day, Maris and Lolo simply sit down and picnic together. No talk of queenly duties or magic.

Neave gushes about her friends abroad and Lolopechka remarks on them with her memories of befriending Noelle, Mimosa, and Nero.

Petrus and Lolopechka actually have a garden together since Earth and Water Magic work well for growing plants.

Mother's Day is when they pick a bunch of flowers and put together bouquets for the citizens. Petrus always keeps some extra to make fill a vase for Lolopechka.

Dorothy with Winifred

Winifred is Dorothy's adopted daughter. Dorothy never really cared to figure out where Winifred came from and just loves her kid.

On Mother's Day, Dorothy and Winifred play a fun game of tag while using their magic.

Dorothy is the undefeated Magic Tag champion.

Winifred puts on a one-woman play using her Illusion Magic, retelling stories she's heard from Dorothy, but with the worst accuracy possible.

Dorothy has a magic tool to record the performances and she's shared some with her friends.

Dorothy's favorite performance is Winifred's retelling of Nozel and Helia's wedding. It's so inaccurate (in the sense that Winifred depicts it going much more smoothly) that Nozel is frankly offended.

Mereoleona with Leoray

Mereo and Ray go on a hunting trip together!

Ray still can't kill as many beasts as Mereo can but she doesn't get discouraged because Mereo's encouragement is always in her ear.

"You've got more fire than that!" "Knock another one down! You have it in you!" "You've got this! You've got it right!"

Mereo's favorite hunting trip was the year Ray tried to eat raw meat the way Mereo did. And Mereo had to perform the Heimlich since Mereo could use her magic to cook the meat as she swallowed but Ray had no such ability.

Mother's Day is the only day Leoray gets a chance to brush her mom's hair. Mereo is usually fine as it is, but she admits that the hair brushing is a nice way to bond. Even if it doesn't take that long with Mereo's short cut.

Holly (oc) with Eirlys and Ferro

Eirlys and Holly read a book of poems dedicated to motherhood together.

Eirlys's favorite poem from the book describes motherhood like an embrace, warm and inviting and so comfortable. But something that will have to let go eventually.

Holly's favorite poem is a mother's perspective seeing her daughter become different from the mother herself.

Ferro gives Holly ice figurines each year. They become more refined and detailed with each year. Holly keeps all the figures in a magic cabinet so they don't melt.

After many years, Ferro recreates the cake topper used at Holly and Solid's wedding and it becomes Holly's favorite. Solid would see it and wonder where Ferro learned of the cake topper.

Holly thinks Ferro would make for a lovely sculptor if he wasn't so dead set on becoming a Magic Knight like Solid.

Nebra with Skylar and Elana

Once they're old enough, Skylar and Elana research and scout cities throughout the kingdom to take their mom out for a day out on Mother's Day.

They book an appointment with a masseuse. Reserve a spot for lunch or dinner. Find a local play or music performance.

The twins will dote on their momma as thanks for her efforts to raise them as a singe mother (with resources she got as a royal... regardless).

Skylar also presents Nebra with a series of fake suitor profiles. He remembered Nebra trying to date back in the day before deciding to focus on herself and her twins. The fake suitors give Nebra a laugh.

Elana tells Nebra about the crazy Magic Knight missions she hears from working in the Magic Investigation Bureau. Nebra forever claims that Elana still hasn't found a story more interesting than what she's experienced.

Kathline (oc) with Daniel and Jill

Simply put, Daniel and Jill help Kathline chop down trees and cut wood in preparation for Kathline to turn it all into furniture.

Their attributes are well suited to that job after all.

Daniel shows some of his creative flair by using his Steel Magic to make wood carvings (which aren't as good as his metal sculptures).

Jill shows off how many trees she can cut through at once.

"Still not as impressive as your dad carving a new canyon into the landmass," Kathline teases.

Jill goes to bite her mom's head off but is put in her place very quickly.

Ichika with Kai'ichi, Shigehiro, and Moriko

Ichika doesn't expect the kids to do much on Mother's Day. It was a recent cultural trend borrowed from Clover Kingdom.

And usually, the kids don't treat it like anything special. Until the year when Shigehiro is fifteen. The kids come together and present Ichika with a box.

Inside in a beautiful kimono ensemble. Hair accessory, matching fan and parasol, the works.

Apparently, the kids found the photo that Ichika had hidden away which showed her wearing a similar ensemble alongside her husband. Her wedding photo.

The kids wanted her to have something that would make her feel as beautiful as she did when she got married. And remind her of the happiness she felt with her husband.

Ichika didn't shed tears. Not in front of the kids. She hugged them real tight before sending them on their way. And she cried over the kimono on her lonesome.

Finesse with Caelum and Raphael

Because Cal and Raph don't live with Finesse, Mother's Day is basically sacred time with their bio mom.

Caelum will bring his mom a gift basket of all sort of trinkets and goodies that she'd enjoy.

Leaves from far off lands that he's visited. Recipe cards to give to Finesse's kitchen staff. New bookmarks and books to use them with.

I'm gonna say Raphael plays an instrument. Perhaps a harp. And he plays Finesse whatever song he's learned recently.

The boys argue over who gets to brush their mom's hair before the three of them take a stroll through town.

Finesse would tell them that one can brush her hair while the other picks out the hair accessory she wears.

Vanessa with Cynthia

Vanessa wasn't comfortable with Mother's Day at first, given her own maternal relationship.

But she came around to it after all her friends reassured her that it was okay to celebrate her motherhood because she was a good parent.

Cynthia is an artist. She tries every kind of art and craft. So Vanessa has a collection of different crafted items from many Mother's Days (and other occasions).

Vanessa loves each and every gift she's been given. She knows it's not the point, but she feels like she's deservedly earned the things Cynth gives her.

One year, Cynthia held Vanessa's face between her hands, locked eyes with her, and said "you're the best mom I could've ever hoped for. I love the mom that you are for me."

It made Vanessa happy cry for well over an hour.

Charlotte with Saki, Ann, and Kenzou

Saki would of course gift Charlotte a bouquet made from the flowers she grows in her garden/at her flower shop.

She avoids including roses since Charlotte grows the most beautiful roses in the kingdom, according to Saki.

Ann isn't good with physical gifts. She collects memorabilia from her adventures (later missions when she's a MK) and then brings them to Char to tell the stories behind each trinket.

When Ann gets her grimoire, she asks to battle Char each Mother's day so she can improve her magic in hopes that her Briar Magic becomes just as strong as her mom's

Kenzou (once he's grown enough to do so) takes Charlotte on a little mother-son outing.

They go to a cafe and catch up on life events. They go social dancing and Charlotte has to lead Kenzou along since he has two left feet.

Grey with Silver and Clara

Silver and Clara become Grey's happy little helpers on Mother's Day.

Clara asks if there's any nooks and crannies that she can clean for Grey.

Silver carries the bags on a grocery/general shopping run.

He'll help push furniture if Grey wants to rearrange a room. He reaches high shelves for her (even when Grey points out she could transform into someone taller to reach).

When they were younger, they were pretty clumsy and something always broke!

As they grow older, they get better and learn to do more to help. Cleaning the bathroom. Washing dishes. Making breakfast and bringing it to Grey in bed.

Silver isn't as tall or strong as his dad but he'd also carry Grey if she's feeling particularly exhausted.

Noelle with Aimee, Naru, and Filomina

Beach day with Mama Noelle!

Naru is showing off how well he can swim! He's a born natural and the girls joke that Naru isn't just a Water Mage but water itself!

Naru and Noelle like to have swimming races. Naru says that he always lets Mama win because it's Mother's Day. But really, he just can't compete with Noelle's grown up speed.

Aimee and Filomina can swim too, but they like what they can do on the shore a little more.

Aimee builds (very lumpy) sandcastles and Noelle helps with the moat and getting water in there.

She also tries to draw Noelle's portrait in the sand and as ugly as Aimee draws every time, Noelle adores it and says she's never been drawn so beautifully.

Filomina is a beach comber. She finds shells and sea glass and crabs and coins. She brings her spoils to her family and Noelle gets first pick of treasure.

Filomina once tried digging for buries treasure and stumbled upon a sea turtle nest instead. Noelle found it very cute but also helped Filomina hide the nest again to protect the unhatched eggs.

Helia (oc) with Aecor, Fleuriana, Chalivas, and Soleil

While Fleur and Soleil are the main performers of the family, all four kids participate in putting on a special Mother's Day show.

Soleil plans everything out, given he's always been fascinated by showmanship. Their older siblings follow his lead.

Fleur likes to improvise, to her siblings' frustration and Helia's delight.

Chalivas tends to steal the show, using his Mercury Magic to make mercury puppets to convey a story more easily.

The siblings' attributes synergize well and as much as they argue at times, they always put on a successful performance on Mother's Day.

Helia runs up to her babies and kisses them all over their faces. She's so proud and every year exclaims that the current year's show was the best.

Josele (oc) with Sterling, Dawn, Dusk, Sirius, Merel, and Vivian

Sterling does a divination session for Josele as a Mother's Day gift. Thanks to Josele's life becoming more stable later in life, Sterling's divinations mostly reaffirm the happy and peaceful life Josele has achieved.

Sterling has also used her Remnant Magic to help Josele recover some memories that she lost or became faded over time.

Dawn and Dusk put their musical skills together to perform a song for Josele.

One year, Dawn wanted to perform the love song that Nacht tends to sing to Josele only for Dusk to scold her and say that stays between their parents.

Sirius, once he has his grimoire and is better trained in his magic, brings Josele into his Dreamscape spell and lets her spend a bit of time with a Dream Magic recreation of Morgen.

Sirius disappears into the edges of his spell and lets his mother have a moment. He feels conflicted about it but still does it because Josele looks so renewed when it happens.

Merel and Josele tend to go on nature hikes, picking wild flowers and foraging for wild fruits and greens.

Vivian returns home from her far off journeys for Mother's Day and recounts her adventures to Josele. Vivian also shows Josele her new spells, the emotions and elements that have become connected to her.

The day concludes with Josele and the children all working together to make a grand feast.

Josele with Albert, Varg, Iris, Valerian, Friedrich, Sable, Blanche, and Isolde (AU)

Similar to Silver and Grey, the Morgsele kids are extra helpful on Mother's Day. Josele deserves to take it easy one day after spending the majority of her days raising eight children.

Albert leads the team and is the one to assign each sibling their tasks of the day.

Albert tends to give himself the task of bringing Josele breakfast in bed. He is the best cook of the siblings and he wants mom's day to start well. This means he also oversees lunch and dinner.

Once Varg tried to lock Josele in her room so she couldn't even try to be something other than relax. I say "try" because Josele kicked down the door to get out.

Varg is usually stuck with dusting down the house because his attitude makes it hard for his siblings to trust him with other tasks.

Iris has the best taste in gifts and so he is the one to procure a physical gift. His gifts have ranged from a personally compiled book of poems and short stories about mothers to a magnificent painted portrait depicting Josele in a heroic pose.

Valerian goes to get Josele's weapons tuned up at her preferred shop. And he's the one to do the grocery run for lunch and dinner.

Friedrich has an eye for aesthetics so he refreshes decorations around the house. New flowers are put in vases. Curtains and tablecloths and curtains are changed out. He even moves around any statuettes or paintings to keep the interior looking a little fresh.

Sable polishes every possible surface in the household. From the windows to stone surfaces to varnished wood. She brings everything to a shine.

Blanche is the team's time manager while also doing the more undesirable cleaning, like the bathroom, and trash collecting. Heaven forbid she actually touch anything though. She uses appendages made of magic to handle most of it.

Isolde, as the baby of the family, doesn't get to do much at first. At first, she has to tag along with someone else and help them. But when she picks up sewing, she takes up the task of mending clothes in addition to doing laundry.

Josele gets to sit down with each kid at some point throughout the day to chat with them about what's going on in their lives. She wants to hear all about what her kids are up to after all, and give any advice that they might need.

Everyone I can’t express how blessed I feel with a friend like Taylor [as I call her] before you start getting mad she has giving me FULL PERMISSION to post this picture where I wish and I intend to give her full credit as it states in teh corner of the picture. On October 28th 2010 Scotland sadly lost the very funny man Gerard Kelly.

Everyone loved the mop of black hair, the half-length trousers, the bright Dr Martens and the cry of "Hiya pals", but you could spend hours figuring out exactly what made Gerard Kelly such a physically funny pantomime star. It was something to do with the knobbly knees, the way one leg would drag coyly behind the other, and the impression of Kelly having feet that headed in opposite directions. The actor Karen Dunbar, who appeared alongside him in three Christmas shows at the King's theatre in Glasgow, has her own theory. "I think it came from his hips," she said. "He used his whole body."

Whatever his secret, Kelly – who has died aged 51 after a brain aneurysm – was a consummate performer who reigned supreme at the King's theatres in Glasgow and Edinburgh for 20 years. To do this for a dozen performances a week required formidable energy. A fortnight into Sleeping Beauty, at the King's, Glasgow, in 2007, he began suffering from sciatica and amazed his colleagues by carrying on regardless of the pain.

Typically, Kelly played the Buttons-type character, a lovable clown who never got the girl but endeared himself to the audience with his rascally grin, gift for comedy and unerring democratic instinct. His generosity of spirit was addictive. Kelly could keep everyone, from children to pensioners, on side. "He knew exactly how to play the audience," said the director Tony Cownie, who staged several of the pantos. "You couldn't direct him. The minute Gerard walked on to the floor, I just sat back. You can't tamper with genius."

A private man who kept a low media profile, Kelly was a team player and commanded tremendous affection. Born Paul Kelly (he changed his name when he got his Equity card), he was brought up in a family of five children in working-class Cranhill, in the east end of Glasgow. His father, Charlie, ran a chip shop, and his mother, Rose, was a hotel waitress. A teacher at St Gregory's secondary school in Glasgow encouraged him to act. From the age of 12, he landed parts with the help of the agent Winifred "Freddie" Young. He appeared in adverts and the TV adventure The Camerons (1974), for the Children's Film Foundation.

Kelly built an accomplished television career, with early work including a part as a teenager with learning difficulties in Donal and Sally, written by James Duthie, which was broadcast in the Play for Today strand on BBC1 in 1978. That year he auditioned for The Slab Boys, John Byrne's celebrated carpet-factory comedy, at the Traverse theatre in Edinburgh, but was considered too young for the part. He was, however, cast as the designer Spanky Farrell in the Play for Today adaptation of The Slab Boys in 1979. He returned to the role at the Traverse in 1982 in all three instalments of what had become a trilogy (with Cuttin' a Rug and Still Life). That production transferred to the Royal Court in London and was a major success.

Here in Scotland, Kelly is fondly remembered for his leading role as Willie Melvin, a bank-teller with literary pretensions and dodgy friends, in the 80s sitcom City Lights, set in Glasgow. He made many guest appearances in programmes such as Rab C Nesbitt, Victoria Wood: As Seen On TV, The Comic Strip Presents and Juliet Bravo, and was a regular on the sketch show Scotch and Wry, starring Rikki Fulton. In 2006, Kelly teamed up with Tony Roper in Rikki and Me, a stage tribute to Fulton.

After bad-boy parts in EastEnders, as the violent Jimmy in 1994, and in Brookside, as gangster Callum Finnegan from 1997 to 2000, Kelly turned in a viciously funny performance as Ian "Bunny" Bunton, a camp panto director, in Ricky Gervais's Extras (2005). His other stage appearances included Neil Simon's The Odd Couple in 1994 (revived in 2002) for the touring Borderline theatre and Iain Heggie's A Wholly Healthy Glasgow in a production that opened at the Royal Exchange in Manchester in 1987 before transferring to the Edinburgh festival and the Royal Court.

Intelligent and politically engaged, Kelly ran the radical 7:84 theatre company in Scotland with David Hayman for three years in the late 80s. He directed Hector McMillan's sectarian drama The Sash ; Raymond Briggs's When the Wind Blows , about a nuclear attack; and an anti-poll tax farce, Revolting Peasants , for the company, whose name derives from athe statistic at the time that 7% of the population of the UK owns 84% of the wealth, it is probaly not changed much since then, if anything will have grown wider.

He had been due to revive his role as the narrator in The Rocky Horror Show at the King's in Glasgow. The part was taken by his friend and City Lights co-star Andy Gray. "He knew what worked," said Gray of Kelly's pantomime work. "I don't think 'Hiya pals' will ever be said again. He did it year in, year out, but 'Hiya pals' worked every time because he did it with such gusto and conviction." Sadly we also lost Andy following complications caused by COVID-19 in January 2021, the two will be having a ball together up there.

Hocus Pocus 3 thoughts

Hocus Pocus 3 is officially in development.

And here is my potentially controversial opinion. Here it goes.

As corny as this may sound I would like Hocus Pocus 3 to be a redemption story for the popular bungling villains. The Sanderson Sisters have essentially become Disney's villain equivalent of the Three Stooges (more so than the hyenas in The Lion King).

The Sanderson Sisters are the face of Hocus Pocus. They have dolls and action figures, t-shirts, posters, throw blankets, and even Christmas ornaments of them now but they're... kind of ...evil.

Sure, there was a coven of good witches in Hocus Pocus 2 but The Sanderson Sisters are still villains.

There were hints of a potential redemption story at the end of Hocus Pocus 2 when Winifred was willing to give up her powers for love of her sisters. It showed that love was more important to her than power. That means there IS good in her, as screwed up as the character is.

So here's my pitch. I'd like to see The Sanderson Sisters sent back to Earth for a chance at redemption. And perhaps having to fight a threat far worse than themselves.

If Disney can make Maleficent and Cruella into heroic protagonists, they can do it with The Sanderson Sisters.

And think how much fun it could be with these three incompetents TRYING to be good. It might be more fun than watching them fail at being evil.

So yeah, that's what I want for Hocus Pocus 3. I know a lot of fans might hate the idea but I think it could be fun and open the door for new possibilities for the trio in other media like comics, cartoons, video games, etc.

Reformed Sanderson Sisters trying not to fall back on their dark ways could be fun.

Further note, my guess is Hocus Pocus 3 won't be out until 2025 or 2024 at the earliest if they rush it.

Also there has been no news about the Hocus Pocus Broadway musical supposedly in development. My guess is the "Spooktacular" Sanderson Sisters stage show they did every year in the Disney parks for the last eight years (except during Covid) may have been a long test to see if people would be interested in a stage musical with these characters. And that stage show has been pretty successful.

Ivanhoe Donaldson (October 17, 1941 - April 3, 2016) went to the South to assist in voter registration efforts and became a field secretary for SNCC. He organized drives for clothing, food, and medical supplies from Michigan to Mississippi. He became director of SNCC’s New York office. He remained with SNCC even when the organization embraced Black Power under the leadership of its new chair, Stokely Carmichael.

He was involved in the first of several high-profile political campaigns where he put his skills as a tough and resourceful political infighter in SNCC to use in helping usher a generation of new Black political leaders into elective office. His most prominent early victories included Julian Bond’s election to the Georgia House of Representatives and Richard Hatcher’s race for mayor of Gary, Indiana.

His most important political victory came when he managed Marion Barry’s successful campaign for city council in DC. He managed Barry’s upset win in the Democratic primary over both incumbent Mayor Walter E. Washington and City Council President Sterling Tucker. Barry defeated Republican Arthur Fletcher to become mayor of DC. He helped Barry win reelection to a second term. He married Winifred Burrell (1978). The couple had one daughter.

He was acting director of the DC Department of Employment Services and deputy mayor for Economic Development. He became a vice president at E.F. Hutton. A contractor took him to court over failure to pay the expenses associated with the remodeling of his condominium. He was sued over $3,000 in unpaid credit card bills. His investment in various unsuccessful business ventures brought more creditors.

He admitted to three felonies: tax fraud, obstruction of justice, and interstate transportation of fraudulently obtained funds. I was scrolling on Twitter (or X) today and I noticed this upsetting post about a female Dominican athlete that apparently has been over-sexualized to the point of her resignation. In the same thread, she even mentioned how people began creating fake nudes of her as well. I’m unfamiliar with the source or this situation, so I decided fact check and look into the credibility of the person making this claim. I began by clicking on the girl’s profile which didn’t have loads of information, but I could see she had a pretty big following - over 15k.

To dig deeper, I saw that she linked her instagram account so I looked on there to see if I could find her full name and occupation.

From this I was able to at least assume that her first name is Lora and based on the repetition of the flag, she’s most like Dominican like the athlete she was posting about - that’s most likely how she found out about the situation and why she felt connected to it. After skimming through her profile, I found out what her occupation was: she’s a school counselor.

Based on all of the information I was able to find, I can’t confidently say that she’s a reliable source because she lacks any credibility on this topic to make a definitive claim.

Afterwards a briefly conducted my own research on the topic and googled “Dominican volleyball player oversexualized” so that I could at least find the name of the athlete. The first article to pop up was from volleyverse.com and it did coincide with Lora’s claims of her oversexualization and fans generating fake nudes overshadowing her actual career in the sport. The athletes name is Winifer Fernandez. Just to ensure this story’s consistency, I performed a non bias search of just the athletes name to see if there’s a common theme of articles. Wikipedia came up with the athletes biography and even in this it confirmed that the athlete retired after winning a championship, then being ranked by the Salvadoran newspaper El Mundo #7 among the 10 most beautiful and coveted athletes in the world, but she replied that though this was an honor she would like to be remembered for her playing skills.

Overall, though the source isn’t very credible, I believe the statement to be at least partially true - the only thing I couldn’t confirm was that this oversexualization is was truly ended the athlete’s career; only Winifred would be able to confirm, but there’s a lot of speculation.

Welcome Home bandwagon, Oc

So yeah I’ve been ensnared by the magic that is Welcome Home, I wanna say @partycoffin you’ve created something absolutely amazing. Something I hope to see more of as it’s gotten me out of a creative slump! So much so that its inspired me to make an oc, now I’ve decided on two names Willowmina Pines or Winifred Willow, to my friends which name sounds better?

OH! But I’m getting ahead of myself who/what exactly is this new oc an what do they bring to the neighborhood? Well, my oc whom we’ll call Willow for now is a resident Doctor/Dentist/ Veterinarian (for Barnaby’s sake). Born from a wisteria and willow tree she found her calling when offering some bandaids to Poppy who accidentally skinned her knee while out walking. It was all she needed to uproot herself and replant in the neighborhood. Willow is a good doctor but what isn’t a good tree if not trying new things, after-all tree’s are known for ‘branching out’ so to speak. Hence why she took on the roll not just as doctor but as resident Dentist too.

A quiet person she often is seen at her office offering advice on proper nutrition and interesting facts on health, Willow is a live hand puppet often seen behind her desk at her office or helping Poppy Partridge in her baking segments. Sometimes will pay ‘house calls’ to the residents of the neighborhood for checkups on call in case something were to happen. Willow is very good friends with Poppy, Howdy and Eddie.
