Bucky was no longer the winter soldier. He was living freely and working with the Avengers. You were one of his closest friends and he was head over heels in love with you. The feeling was mutual. You liked Bucky the moment you met him but neither of you were willing to say anything yet. Everyday that passed, Bucky was able to remove himself more from what Hydra had done to him. Until a mission reveals that Hydra had been creating super soldier children and Bucky happened to be the father. With you by his side Bucky will learn to love and care for his kids. The love you have for each other blooms into a beautiful relationship. But Hydra isn’t happy that the next generation of super soldiers was taken from them and they’ll do whatever it takes to get them back.

While Steve didn’t want to ruin the friendship you had, you were afraid to let him see the more vulnerable part of you. However, after a night of drinking you wake up naked and next to each other. Tony should be checking out his own wings, but he's too busy gawking at Bucky's. The feathers interlock seamlessly in armor plating, with a liquid smoothness to their movement. The leading edge of each wing looks razor-sharp, tapering into fine, delicate tips. "Holy shit," Tony gapes, and Bucky exhales loudly, the vibranium feathers rippling. It’s mesmerizing. Bucky is… mesmerizing. Can Tony touch them? He really wants to touch them, even though he should be focusing on more pertinent questions. Such as, how are they powered? How much weight can they lift? Can they be used in combat? Or, for instance, what the actual fuck is going on? "Hey," Bucky licks his lips and flutters down, his boots gently touching the floor. "You are glowin’. What the hell, Tony, you are—shiny."

America Chavez drags Tony and Bucky through the multiverse, and they emerge on the other side with metal wings. Because obviously, that’s exactly what Tony needs on top of his I-pine-after-Bucky-Barnes-with-the-intensity-of-a-thousand-suns problem.

Tony with gold stained wings, bloodied and dripping till they sharpen like the very blades that ripped through him.

Steve powder white wings doused in the frigid frost, burning the white into a deep aged blue. The tearing of the wings filled with frozen blue feathers.

Natasha soft red wings bleached and burned away. Nothing but bones twitching lace and silk stitching into feathers.

Clint bright purple wings, full and ready to sore, torn away till there was black pooling under the torn feathers, the missing flights. Till all blended into haze of purple night hues.

Bruce wings bigger than him, but full of feathers, easily to sore high. Brown to lighter shades of cremes. Irradiated green pulse through him, jealousy poisoning him as the vat burned into his wings. Once soft was leathery, confusion of membrane and feathers. Hiding them away.

Loki wings are deep reds to blacks that reflected the heat from the sun. Burning bright and warmth. The push of a curse from a bitter father, wings burned to asunder turned into a frozen snowy waste. Long feathers dragging leaving frost burn trails.

Something, something their humans helping them heal or accept their broken wings.

I fucking love Sam and bucky's friendship and it almost kills me to know that at the cookout (s1e06 tfatws) bucky literally says:

"Sam and I could move into together. The truth is, I would do it. It's just- uh he just not. He's not good at sharing anything."

God please tell they get an apartment/house together. I don't think I could accept anything else.

I wish they would make a season 2...
