aslkjfg I unlocked Create and then I was all "oh wait someone said there was a block in this mod to make a fishing farm!"
Yeah, no, that person lied, the fishing farm was in thermal expansion
so once again I have to run hundreds of raw vaults for a chance of a mystery egg that spawns the fish I need bleh
#windy rambles#vault hunters#modded minecraft#this wouldn't be so irritating if living chests were a teeeny bit more common#but they're only in like every 5th room#and the chance of them having a mystery egg is like 0 so#I need salmon x3#there is a teeny bit of generated terrain where salmon spawns so I could go on a murder spree#but I'll need so much eventually#might as well get the farm up already#I haven't even made the automatic carrot and potato farms yet x3#I've said I need to do those pretty much since I found my first villager xD

12:30 PM Checkup [Zayne + Son ★ 767 words ★ Masterlist ★ Series Index ★ AO3] Zayne has an appointment with a very adorable doctor. A/N: Maybe I’m ovulating or something lmao but I want this man’s babies. But since he’s fictional, I’ll settle for writing little self-indulgent ficlets. 🫠
It was one of Zayne’s very few days off, and unfortunately, he found himself at the doctor’s office for a routine checkup. It was fortunate, however, that the doctor was someone he was very familiar with and trusted completely with his health. As a matter of fact, the very esteemed doctor was his three-year-old son and the so-called doctor’s office was his son’s bedroom.
He watched with amusement as the little boy, a spitting image of his father minus the hair color, adjusted his doctor play clothes. Zayne could barely contain his chuckle when his son put on the faux round-rimmed glasses and walked over to him holding a clipboard while maintaining a comically stoic expression on his young face.
“Patient’s name is…Daddy!” the young doctor declared, looking expectantly at his patient.
Zayne chuckled and nodded. “Correct, Doctor.”
“I have to listen to Daddy’s heart,” the little boy said, holding up his toy stethoscope. He pressed the toy to his father’s chest, and looked thoughtful as he “listened” to the grown man’s heart. After a few seconds, he nodded approvingly. “Heart is good, Daddy.”
Zayne sighed in relief. “Thank goodness, Doctor.” He blinked in surprise as his son pulled out a reflex hammer.
“Daddy’s knee now!”
Over the next few minutes, the young doctor performed a thorough examination on his patient, checking his ear, eyes, throat, and so on, all while diligently scribbling his notes down onto his clipboard. He rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he reviewed the notes from the wellness exam.
“Well, Doctor,” Zayne started, looking at the young boy expectantly, “Is there a diagnosis?”
The boy nodded grimly. “Daddy is tired.”
Zayne held back his laugh at the child’s acute observation. “What would be your prescription for such an ailment then?”
“One strawberry candy every day,” his doctor replied, adding another scribble to his clipboard.
Zayne actually chuckled this time. “Consider it done.” His voice took on a serious tone as he looked at the little doctor concerned. “Doctor, I believe my insurance isn’t covered under your practice. May I use an alternative payment?”
The young doctor looked thoughtful as he rubbed his chin again before holding up three chubby fingers, answering with a serious expression, “Three macarons.”
“Outrageous!” Zayne exclaimed, mock-offended, “My previous checkup only costed me one box of apple juice.”
Zayne wondered belatedly if his tone and expression might have seemed a touch stiff when he realized his doctor was starting to tear up. He knelt down to his son’s level and wiped at the boy’s eyes, apologizing softly, “I didn’t mean to upset you. Daddy is just joking.” He smiled when his son calmed down and he rubbed the boy’s cheek affectionately, “Three macarons it is, but I am afraid payment will have to be postponed until after naptime.”
“No nap!” The boy crossed his arms defiantly. “I still have to check Mr. Seal and Pan-Pan and the Windy Carrots and—”
“Even doctors take naps,” Zayne interrupted with a firm voice before softening it again, “One might even argue that doctors enjoy naps the most.”
The boy looked up at him dejected. “Do you nap, Daddy?”
“Yes,” Zayne answered with a nod as he helped his son remove the doctor costume and put away some of the toys. He gathered his son into his arms as he carried the little boy to his bed. “Sometimes I nap in my car or office in between surgeries.” He tucked his son into bed, kissing his cheek. “Now, won’t you be a good boy and take your nap for Daddy?”
“Story?” his son gave him the most pitiful pout a three-year-old can muster.
Zayne sighed, half-exasperated and half-amused. “You are just like your mother,” he muttered to himself before sitting down on the edge of the boy’s bed. “Alright, one story.”
Zayne outstretched his hand, conjuring up snowy imageries as he spun a tale with evil carrots that had taken over an innocent kingdom. Thankfully, one brave seal stood up against this evil force and taken them down along with help from Happy Snowman and its friends.
The boy watched the snowy scenery with rapt fascination as it changed following Zayne’s storytelling. As Zayne neared the end of his impromptu story, he noticed his son’s sleepy face, catching sight of a yawn escaping. He smiled to himself and quickly wrapped up the story as he re-tucked the sleepy boy into bed.
“Sweet dreams,” Zayne whispered, kissing the top of his son’s head as the little boy finally dozed off, “When you wake up, Daddy will take you and Mommy out for macarons.”

tom scott would absolutely fit in arknights by virtue of how detailed the worldbuilding is in this game. yes this is just about the "im at X" thing he does every video.
"im at an abandoned amusement park in chernobog-"
"im in sami"
"i am about to cross a road in nuova volsinii"
"i am in vyseheim-"
"i am still in sami"
"i am here with dr kaltsit-"
"im at rhine HQ"
"im in front of a shop in county hillock"
"i am here at the ursus-higashi border-"
(loud voice bc windy) "IM AT THE FIELD OF FORGOTTEN WATER"
(whispering) "i am inside the mansfield state prison"
(shouting) "I AM ABOUT TO ENTER A KAWALERIELKI MAJOR ARENA"
"im at the entrance to gran faro-"
"im on a train to kjerag-"
(in kazdel, somehow) "i am here with dr kaltsit again-"
"i am in the golden city in sargon!"
"im at the iron carrot mining platform-"
"i am in laterano-"
"im at the obsidian festival"
"i am in front of the lgd headquarters"
(talking abt zeruertza) "im on top of a city"
"i am at mount hymnoi"
"im in calaisblason-"
"i am back from sami."
"i am in dossoles!"
"im in one of the naval battalions heading towards the sea"
due to how on-the-nose arknights is about real life inspirations, the tom scott of terra would be a feline. BUT it would also be funny if it was a team rainbow situation
#arknights#catowl rambles#i had drafted this in my head a few days ago#the game would go smth like#this person is not affiliated with any similarities!#and the name is smth like Thames Scott#being feline its a catlike thing to suddenly be in places you wouldnt expect. maybe.#dont ask how he has access to the golden city or iberia's navy#if anything he'll explain it in his videos#.......click might know him...........#not as an acquintance just that of the many operators click would know the 'tubers#also the iberian navy thing is bc despite the absurdity of him being in the golden city#the aegir cities are the one place i cant picture him being in

Continuing to watch through the Writer/Director commentary of LotR (with Peter Jackson, Philippa Boyens, and Fran Walsh) and jotting down any new-to-me information I come across. Here's what I gleaned from TTT:
When they got the New Line logo to put on the movies, it was very old and scratched, so PJ gave it to Weta to touch it up. They joked about how they should bill New Line for it XD
Originally, the studio wanted TTT to start off with a prologue too, with Cate Blanchett narrating what sounds like it was basically going to be a "Previously on..." spiel, even though they didn't like the idea of the prologue in the first one. Thankfully, these three ignored the studio's advice both times XD
The Uruk who says "Manflesh" is also the guy in Sauron's armor in the prologue!
In the scene where the Rohirrim find Theodred, it's not actually raining! They used rain towers for the close-ups, but any wide shots just have CG rain. I would never have guessed!
Andy Serkis did the voices for the Uruk-Hai who says the "maggoty bread" line, and the orc who says, "Yeah, why can't we have some meat?" (The actor in the suit for the latter is, of course, Jed Brophy, who went on to play Nori in the Hobbit movies.)
Somehow it never registered for me that Orlando Bloom has brown eyes, and so he had to wear blue contacts when he played Legolas ^^' But sometimes he wasn't able to wear the contacts (or forgot), so there are some scenes where they had to fix it in post.
PJ called the Treebeard from the animated Bakshi movie "a walking carrot" XD He also said that Treebeard is his favorite character!
The scene with Smeagol killing Deagol was originally going to be a flashback right after Frodo says his name, and then the Nazgul shriek would pull the audience out of the flashback. They decided not to do that for pacing reasons and because we haven't spent much time with Gollum yet, so that's why they put it at the beginning of RotK instead.
Bernard Hill had his son with him on the shoot and would play with him in his downtime on the Edoras set. Puts things into perspective when you hear that he was the one who came up with the line "No parent should have to bury their child."
They were originally looking at Bernard Hill for Gandalf! (I feel like I've probably heard this before, but anyway.)
They filmed a flashback to Aragorn and Arwen's first meeting?! Viggo shaved to make himself look younger, and it was a scene of the two of them "frolicking about the forest." It was originally going to be put in the Lothlorien sequence, but they cut it out in favor of that scene between Aragorn and Boromir, because they decided it was more important to earn Boromir's death scene than to remind the audience of the romance. I agree with that decision, but it would be cool to see that footage! (I say as someone who prefers to skip the TTT Aragorn/Arwen scene entirely XD)
Originally, the warg battle was going to happen at Edoras itself. It was going to be at night, everything was going to be on fire, and ultimately that was going to be the reason everyone evacuated and went to Helm's Deep. Also, a warg was going to be set on fire and end up dragging Aragorn through the streets, and that was going to be how Aragorn would be left for dead. Ultimately, the reason they did it the way they did was because the studio wasn't sure Weta could do a flaming warg (something all three of them laughed about, considering everything Weta did manage to do with flying colors), and because it would have been a nightmare to light the Edoras set at night, because that location was so remote and so windy. Which is why every scene in Edoras takes place in the daytime!
In the scene where Faramir talks about his dream where he saw Boromir in the boat, you can see a sort of pinkish color in the water around Boromir's body. That's because the dye from his shirt (surcoat? idk) was leaking out into the water! XD
When Andy Serkis did ADR for the Forbidden Pool scene, he couldn't manage to sing the song off-key, so they had to use the audio from the motion capture footage XD
They shot some additional footage of Aragorn unconscious on Brego's back, riding past an orc encampment, that they never ended up using.
Theoden was originally going to give a speech to the soldiers in the armory, but Bernard Hill's performance was so inspiring that it defused most of the tension they were trying to build up before the battle, so they took it out. Would love to see that footage!
So the boy Aragorn encourages before the battle ("There is always hope.") was Philippa Boyens' son, who was 13 when they filmed the scene. But by the time they went to do ADR, his voice had broken, so they had to get a different child actor to say his lines.
Aww, the extra who was missing an eye said he always felt self-conscious about his missing eye, so he always wore an eyepatch. But then after they gave him a close-up and the guy saw the movie, he said he felt much better about his appearance! :')
Treebeard's line "I always like going south; it feels like going downhill" was ad-libbed!
When Saruman turns and reacts to all the water pouring in and washing his machinery away, that shot was actually a reaction shot to Wormtongue on top of the tower from the RotK movie that they repurposed for this scene instead, since they hadn't shot any reactions to the flood.
At least at the time of the recording of this audio commentary, the final shot of Gollum, where he's arguing with himself and ultimately decides to lead Frodo and Sam to Shelob, was the longest CG shot in any movie. (I tried to google what the current record is, but couldn't find anything, so if anyone knows, I'd love to hear about it!)
Fran Walsh: "All cinema storytelling, to a degree, is shallow. That's the nature of the medium. You've got two or three hours to present a world and a dense story with a hundred themes and a ton of backstory, in this instance, and 22 characters...so you can only really have the veneer of depth. You really can't have anything that comes close to the depth of the books, or the experience of the books. So I think what we attempted to do was to use the language of the books where we could and to certainly invoke them, the iconic images, where we could, but to keep the storytelling very much...to modernize it, if you like, in terms of cinema language. So we didn't, for example, use the style of storytelling that was in the books between these different after-the-fact storytelling, of Sam and Frodo and then a chunk of the Aragorn story. We completely undercut it. That was a far more immediate and engaging way to connect it to the audience. You can't really hope to satisfy people who adore this book, with the movie. You can only ever give them the sense of what might have been. That's all a film can do. I think, in that sense, films...I mean, they're entertainments. They're just not going to give you the pleasure that a book can give you."
#lord of the rings#lotr#the two towers#peter jackson#philippa boyens#fran walsh#i feel like i learned more with this one than the fotr one which was cool!

Hooligan Calendar
As well as a map I’ve also put together a calendar for the people of Berk, complete with their unique holidays and the birthdays of various characters. I based the weather on Iceland’s, since Berk is around the same latitude. The farming tasks come from a medieval farming calendar, with adjustments made where necessary.
Obviously most of the chores would be ongoing tasks (especially the ones involving growing or preparing food) and wouldn’t just be done in one month, but I didn’t want to repeat myself too much. I’m also not saying this is accurate to real life or to the Norse. So…
Spring
(1) Einmánuður (31 days, equivalent of March)
Festivals: The 20th day is spring equinox, celebrated by Iðunnsblót, a feast day in honour of Iðunn, goddess of spring. Her husband Bragi, god of poetry, is also honoured. They hang flower wreaths on apple trees as offerings for the goddess, pray for a healthy and fruitful year ahead, toast with and drink cider and mead whilst the skalds sing poems about Iðunn and Bragi.
Farming: They sow beetroot, broad beans, cabbage, carrots, leeks, onions, parsnips and spinach. And of course, the spring grains will be sown - wheat and barley, most likely. At this point they’re still eating preserved foods from the winter - pickled/brined/smoked meat, fish and vegetables, dried or boiled fruits; as well as fresh eggs from chickens and even seaweed (yummy?)
The farmers plough and harrow the fields for planting after the frosts. It is also calving season. Children and teens help with weeding and sowing. There are cows to milk, chickens to tend to, various herbs and spices to plant/harvest.
Weather: cold (0-4 C), wet and windy; but the days are getting longer.
/
(2) Harpa (30 days, equivalent of April)
5th Harpa - Astrids’ birthday
Festival: This month begins with Sigrblót, a celebration of spring/summers’ victory over winter. For the Berkians it was probably a time to celebrate surviving the dragon raids for another year. Boars are sacrificed to Odin, prayers of victory in battle and good fortune in the year ahead are made, and everyone sings and dances around a big bonfire whilst the meat roasts.
This is also when Thawfest is held: a contest of strength, prowess, skill and determination, held to celebrate the frosts thawing out and to honour Tyr and Thor. Children and adults compete in different levels at different contests.
Farming: As well as the same crops from last month, they’ll plant radishes and turnips. The legumes are planted in fallow fields to enrich the soil. The spring shearing is done; the wool needs to be cleaned, combed and spun into yarn. The first barley crop of the year is sown during the latter part of the month.
There is butter to churn and skyr, a kind of soft, runny cheese, to make. The butter would be made from cream and the skyr from the skimmed milk. All of their cheeses will be soft, high fat cheeses made from curds (more the consistency of mozzarella), rather than the hard, matured cheeses we have.
Calves are weaned this time of year, and of course the livestock (cows, sheep and chickens) still need tending to. They’re probably grazed on common land.
Weather: slightly less cold (3 - 6.8 C), still windy, rain and even snowstorms.
/
(3) Skerpla (30 days, equivalent of May)
1st Skerpla - Valka’s birthday
4th Skerpla - Gobber’s birthday
27th Skerpla - Heather’s birthday
Farming: The barley continues to be sown. Moss and mould needs scraping off the shingles. It’s lambing season, and the livestock is marked and sent out to pasture. Bees are captured for hives to make honey for mead. All the usual chores need to continue - milking cows, making cheeses and butters, hunting small game, weeding/pruning crops, mending and washing clothes etc.
Towards the end of the month is trading season, when merchants from the mainland come to the archipelago to hawk their wares. Berk trades wool, lumber and dragon products (once their hides, now their shed scales, quills etc) for furs, ‘exotic’ foods such as dried fruits (apricots and prunes), spices and linens. Basically anything they can’t grow or make themselves.
Weather: grows warmer over the month (2 - 11 C), less to no snow.
/
Summer
(4) Sólmánuður (30 days, equivalent of June)
8th Solmanuður - Fishlegs’ birthday
Festivals: the 21st day is the summer solstice, with a celebration to honour Freyr, Baldur and other gods or goddesses of fertility and beauty.
Farming: beets, carrots and radishes can be harvested. Hay needs to be gathered whilst dry to save for feeding livestock in the winter.
Weather: warm by Berk standards (10 C), still a bit rainy, midnight sun begins.
/
(5) Heyannir (33 days, equivalent of July)
Farming: beets, cabbage, carrots, onions, radishes can all be harvested. The vegetables are pickled or dried to preserve them. Hay still needs to be made. Apples start to ripen. The wheat grains are sown around this time of year.
Weather: warm and mild (10-15 C), mostly dry with risk of unpredictable rain.
/
(6) Tvimánuður (31 days, equivalent of August)
8th Tvimanuður - Ruff & Tuffs’ birthday
Festivals: In the second to last week of Tvimánuður, the Berkians celebrate Bork Week. This festival honours the man who wrote the Book of Dragons, saving the knowledge of how to fight dragons for future generations. It’s not known how they celebrate it, but presumably a lot of alcohol is involved.
Ironically, between late Heyannir and early Tvimanuður is the time of the dragons mating season. However, they don’t mate every single year.
Farming: beets, broad beans, cabbage, carrots, leeks, onions, parsnips, peas, radishes, spinach and turnips can all start to be harvested. Apples are ripening and it’s berry picking season - bilberries, crow berries, wild strawberries, rowan berries, and so on. Mushrooms can also be harvested, but carefully - they don’t want to collect poisonous ones, so children are closely supervised.
Weather: still warm (10 - 20 C), windy, occasional showers but mostly dry.
/
Autumn
(7) Haustmánuður (29 days, equivalent of September)
Festivals - the 18th day of the month is a new holiday in the Hooligan Calendar: Dragon Day! This is, of course, the anniversary of when Hiccup and Toothless defeated the Red Death. Usually the honoured pair are nowhere to be found, because they take the opportunity to escape the attention and fly off on their own! The 22nd day is the autumn equinox, with a celebration to honour Sif, goddess of harvests, and Skadi, goddess of the hunters.
Farming: vegetables continue to be harvested and preserved, the late berries continue to be picked, and apples are now ripe enough to pick. The cows are being bred. Early last month and this month is when the barley/wheat is harvested. The grains need to be winnowed and milled into flour for bread, or malted for use in ale/beer. Some seeds are kept aside to be sown for next year.
Weather: getting cooler (8.5 to 11 C), midnight sun is over, nights get longer.
/
(8) Gormánuður (31 days, equivalent of October)
31st Gormanuður - Stoick’s birthday
Festivals: the 18th day of the month is Dreadfall, a time to honour their ancestors. A large bonfire is built, poems are sung; iron nails are hammered above/around doorways to ward off malevolent spirits, children wear disguises so they won’t be snatched away, and candles are lit inside carved turnips.
Farming: the last of the grain is harvested and the next crop of barley is sown. Other vegetables, nuts and berries continue to be harvested and preserved. The lambs are slaughtered (sorry lambs) and the sheep are sheared/bred. (During the days of the Dragon War, how many animals were slaughtered depended on how many sheep or cows the dragons had stolen. Lambs and calves would be left alive to replace the older livestock if necessary.)
Weather: cold (5.4 C), unpredictably rain, high winds and hail.
/
(9) Ýlir (30 days, equivalent of November)
Farming: the next crop of broad beans is sown, in fallow fields for over winter. Firewood is chopped and stored. Crops and catches are being salted, dried, smoked, pickled, brined, baked and boiled to preserve them. The last of the sheep are sheared and the wool is washed, combed and spun into yarn.
Weather: very cold (1 - 8 C), longer nights, more rain, sleet and hail abound.
/
Winter
(10) Mörsugur (30 days, equivalent of December)
7th Mörsugur - Snotlouts’ birthday
18th Mörsugur - Erets’ birthday
Festivals: the 20th - 26th of the month is Yule, honouring Odin; or as the Hooligans call it for some unknown reason, Snoggletog. They make sacrifices to the king of the gods, build and light a big bonfire, exchange gifts, put up evergreen wreaths, sing poems and, of course, get very, very drunk.
Farming: the fields need to be fertilised with manure (be it sheep, cow or dragon dung XD). The sheep and cows are brought into the stables.
Weather: freezing cold (-1 - 4 C), hail and snow, high winds, very short days.
/
(11) Þorri (30 days, equivalent of January)
Festivals: the first of the month is Þorrablot: a day to honour fathers, husbands and the god Thor. Unlike the other festivals, this is celebrated between families in the home. An offering is made to Thor and small gifts are given to the men of the household by their wives and/or children.
Farming: fields and ditches are cleared, and manure is spread on the fields to fertilise them. The clods of dirt are broken up. The early lambs are being born.
Weather: still freezing (-1 C), lots of rain, sleet, hail and snow, still long nights.
/
(12) Góa (30 days, equivalent of February)
18 Góa - Hiccup’s birthday
21 Góa - Dagur’s birthday
Festivals: the month starts with Goublót, a day to honour mothers, wives and the goddess Frigga. Like þorrablót, it takes place in the home. Offerings are made to the goddess of marriage and motherhood, and gifts are given to the women of the household by their husbands and/or children.
Farming: fruit trees and hedgerows are pruned, and damage from over winter starts to get mended. More manure continues to be added to the fields.
Weather: not quite as freezing (1 C), and windy with lots of snow and rain.

🎂Happy Birthday Isabeau From ISAT! 🎉
⚠️ISAT SPOILERS.(Minor Act Two and Up/ Big Act Six Spoilers!!) PLEASE do go play/checkout this game!!✨
Anyhoo!! Lol not much of a writer.. Soo this will probably not be greatest of work, mistakes here n there I just had a rush of motivation, oh well enjoy ig!✨
Sprite/Game art by InsertDisc5 aka Adrienne!
Birthday Image is from Unsplash!
(It's Isabeau's Birthday today.)
You remember because Mirabelle and them had all gathered together to discuss it when Isabeau was out elsewhere. You all came together a week before and talked about getting gifts for Isa's special day.
And so here you are all at this rental lakeside house for the next few days. Floralbreeze Lake is the name of this place, named after windy weather and with all of the flowers that always grew all year. A perfect, serene place for any occasion. The house rent price was 50 but as Saviors of Vaugarde, they were given a pass for their saving everyone quest. The owner's way of gratitude for saving the world.
Everyone's here in the big living room which shares space with the kitchen and a fire place. Isabeau is sitting at the wooden countertop with Bonnie, who's a few feet away near the stove, who's busy at cooking up some food for the occasion!
( The scent of cooked veggies and baked fish fills the air. The clanking noise of metal and sizzling of oil.)
There was some baked fish, vegetable stir fry and vegetable beef stew, some drinks and sweets like White Chocolate Mousse and White Chocolate Cake for Isabeau. The white chocolate dishes were Bonnie's gift to Isabeau. Mirabelle sits down next to Bonnie and Odile takes the other side, leaving Siffrin to sit at Isabeau's side and Siffrin was more happy to have it this way.
Siffrin watches as Odile takes a slice of baked fish, Mirabelle scoops some stew into a small bowl and Bonnie takes a small serving of stir fry, Isabeau gets some of fish and Siffrin, himself takes a nice serving of stir fry. They all eventually take portions of all dishes expect for desserts since that's for later. Everyone is occupied with eating and chatting, enjoying the warm, cozy atmosphere.
( Everything tastes so good! As always Bonnie did a great job!)
Bringing another piece of fish to your mouth, and so you chew and savor the flavor. Your fork sinks into a carrot and then into another piece of fish, you eat both, listening into the conversations around you as usual. Mirabelle is happily gushing away about her favorite books with Odile, Bonnie's listening to one of Isabeau's stories as a Defender. You gaze sweeps upon your family members as you finish up your last bits of your meal. You take a sip of water before settling down in your chair. You reach into your pockets, to double check your gift to Isa, a wooden figure of him in his fighting position. Your hands pet against the smooth and carefully carved wood after getting some assurance to clear away your doubts. You put your empty dish to the side to make some room.
Bonnie and Isabeau finish up after you and Odile and Mira do the same sometime after the other two. You and Mira volunteer to gather the dirty dishes while Bonnie and Odile, and Isa put away the leftovers somewhere. You put the three plates and utensils into the sink, Mira puts the remaining dishes along with it. The dishes will be washed later, for now you all have a birthday to celebrate.
Odile and Bonnie bring over the desserts, Isabeau has a excitied and joyful look in his eyes as he sits down again. You put the candles into the cake, Mira is the one to light them up, the cake is pushed closer to Isabeau.
"Happy Birthday Isabeau!" Mirabelle beamed.
"Happy Birthday Za!! Don't forget to make a wish!!" Bonnie rejoiced with their arms in the air.
"Happy Birthday Isabeau." Odile added, adjusting her glasses.
(You breathe in and out. It's your turn.)
"Happy Birthday Isa." You say in a gentle and kind tone.
Isabeau smiles delightfully at everyone, a small hint of blush showing on his cheeks.
"Thanks everyone! I really appreciate it. This is the best birthday anyone could ask for!" Isabeau thanked, Isabeau closes his eyes for a few moments before blowing out the candles. A small round of applause and cake is about to be sliced and given out to everyone. Mira is the one to slice the cake, giving Isabeau the slice with extra berries.
Everyone gets a slice of the white chocolate cake eventually. You decide to skip out on this one but you do snag a few berries for yourself from Isabeau and the others. Isabeau also takes the mousse once Bonnie hands one to him.
Presents are next, Bonnie explains that the white chocolate desserts were their gift to Isabeau, Isabeau gives an extra thanks Bonnie for the desserts. Odile pulls out her gift, it's something small and wrapped in simple wrapping paper, Mira's gift seems somewhat big, hidden under slanted lined wrapping paper with a small bow on top.
You reach into your pocket and pull out the wooden figure, and hold it firmly. Isabeau looks around excitedly, he smiles so brightly and his eyes sparkle with delight. Isabeau moves his hands towards to you, you hand over the wooden figure of him. His face shines even brighter at the sight of your gift.
You meet his gaze without tucking away into your cloak or hat. The wood figure of Isabeau is smooth and clean, chipped and carved into perfection with small noticeable details like his earrings, indents for his fist, clothing. Isabeau holds it with great care, a quick glance with a mix of his "fufufu" and "Really" expression over at Odile, and Odile shoots a amused look back.
"Thanks Sif, I love it." Isa murmurs to you with a smile.
Odile goes next, she shoves over her gift across the countertop. "Here you go, Isabeau." Odile stated.
Isabeau grabs it and pulls off the paper, revealing the hidden contents. It's a small wooden sewing kit, with some simple leaf patterns decor within was some threads of different shades, clips and needles and a pair of small scissors with some other sewing materials that you can't remember are called.
"Whoa!!! Thank you Madam!" Isabeau bellowed, a hand examining the sewing contents while the other hand secures your gift. Isabeau scans through the small box, he closes it and gives another thanks as Odile nods and Isabeau puts the box and figure safely to the side.
Mirabelle excitedly gives her gift to Isabeau next. Isabeau rips off the paper, Two books now sit on the countertop. They're new books, all nice and clean in good condition and having that classic new book scent. "Ummm! I hope you like them!" Mira speaks with a grin.
"Ooh! Two new books and they're about romance!! I can't wait to give these two a read when I can!" Isabeau responded with joy and excitement. He flips over the books a few times to get a close look at them. Getting in quick looks as Isabeau flips through the pages. He puts all his gifts together, the books sit besides the sewing box and the Isabeau figure rests upon one of the book covers.
Isabeau signals everyone to come in closer to him for a group hug, Odile gives her amused expression again, Mirabelle's expression glows with delight and Bonnie smiles, arms in the air like they're cheering. Isa looks at you, getting that confirmation from you, you give a nod.
You all come together, Isabeau's arms wrap around all of your family members. Your arms and everyone's arms wrap around Isabeau, everyone embraces with love, care and warmth. Like a cozy warm blanket shielding against the cold. Everyone's happy and everything's good.

🐰🎤Windy: Our creator friend just posted his latest Mother’s Day artwork in the morning. Do hope my kids won’t find out on what else I had other things during my younger years. Just saying. 🤫
Also with my other gifts I’d given to my mother this morning. I got it from the program during art classes last week. From an handmade flower pot that made with papers and popsicles for the stems; to two colored pages involving bears not just I always into fictional/cartoon animals anytime. 🙂

Not sure if anyone asked this yet, what's everyone's favorite food/foods?
Sky: oh! Pumpkin soup!
Twilight: pumpkin soup.
Windy: my grandma’s soup! *whispers* hers is the best.
Minish: I mentioned how I like this pie the bakery has. But grandpa says that it’s not very healthy. But the bakery started making this meat pie! Now I’m getting my protein in!
Time: uh, does milk count as a food? I dunno I don’t really care about what I eat enough to have a favorite. I like milk though.
Legend: I’ve tried making all sorts of stuff with the apples I grow! Apple pie is very good! I’ve also tried making apple sauce, apple juice, apple fritter… I’ve also tried to make a fruit cake for Zelda’s birthday one time! It was a disaster. I dunno, I like apples! They’re good!
Hyrule: ….. do I have a favorite food? I guess I like… carrots?
Four: ok ok, green likes cuccoo legs, Vio likes salmon, I personally like beef stew, and Red likes… cake... That’s not a food! That’s a dessert!
Spirit, writing: pork chops
Age: don’t have a favorite. I will literally eat anything and love it. Just…. Food in general is my favorite.
Wild: meat stuffed pumpkins is very good! Add some mushrooms in there and it tastes amazing.
Warriors: my favorite food is any food that tastes good.

Title: The Thanksgiving Supper
Hello, November. 🍂🍁 Here's another Art Trade for my A-Pal, @bryan360. 🇵🇷🇺🇸😊
And unfortunately, this is the LAST ART TRADE between ME and my A-Pal as a every month art trade before we switched to occasional Art Trade, in 2025. The reason for that was because, I want a focused on myself, and trying to find a job that will suited my personality, and a certified PWD-friendly. 💼👨💼📝♿ Was it hard to find a job (, with specific details)? Well, yes it is. I just want a earn some dough just to unlock my everyday needs. *sigh* 😟😔
Anyway, let's turn my frown upside down, and get this over with. 🙂
IMPORTANT NOTE: No #OnThisDay throwback post for this date because of the aforementioned 'Thanksgiving Day'. Even though, I'm an outsider of US.
• We've seen a lot of Thanksgiving balloon parades for the past years, but what about seeing them in a feast? 🤔 Well, let's give a chance by going a different route from the city to the isolated landscape. And the Speedster and the Rabbit/Fox family tree had found the perfect rented place for their "Thanksgiving Supper"! 😊🦃🍗🥔 And as you can see, they're all dressed up in swapped clothing gifted by each other, with the most notable moment where Rita 🐶🚺 and Windy 🐰🎤 exchanging their traditional meals (Meanwhile, Choco 🐰🍫 tries to make fun with a homemade slingshot and a small green pea, only to be interrupted by Miya 🐰🐻🔋 tossing the plate like a flying saucer to block Choco's fun shot. Not cool, Choco. 🙄) of Philippine 🇵🇭🍽️ and American 🇺🇸🍽️ dishes albeit a vegan-style of ingredient used. Instead of turkey, Windy 🐰🎤 cooked a nice homemade roasted carrot 🥕, with a side of nice tasty mashed potatoes 🥔, while Rita 🐶🚺 chooses a Pinoy-style Spaghetti with tofu bits 🍝🚫🥩 (instead of ground beef), and a tasty vegetable fried brown rice 🥦🍚! Which is far nutritious friendly than the white fried rice variant! Uh yeah, and their drinks? A nice pumpkin juice 🎃🥤 made from them, specifically the aforementioned Rita & Windy. All in all delicious! 😋
Rita 🐶🚺 [wearing her owned Windy clothes]: Tama ("correct" in English) ka, creator my friend! 😊 I bet our traditional thanksgiving feast were sarap ("delicious" in English) as before! Since we're both love eating gulay ("vegetables in English) over karne ("meat" in English). Although, unlike the Rabbit/Fox family, we Speedsters love eating meat albeit moderately. 😉
Bonn 🐰🚹 [wearing his owned Scottie clothes]: Absolutely tama ka, Rita my asawa ("honey/husband" in English)! 😄 I can't wait to dig in not just your pagluluto mo ("your cooking" in English), but also our friend Windy's luto niya! 🍴😋 While serving a nice cold pumpkin juice with Scottie, my friend! 🎃🥤
Rita 🐶🚺 [wearing her owned Windy clothes]: Awww, Bonn my asawa! 🥰 That's why I loved you, so so much as we loved our friendly kapitbahay ("Neighbor" in English)! C'mon, let's manalangin ("Pray" in English) together before we kainin ("Eat" in English)! 🙏😊🍴
Bonn 🐰🚹 [wearing his owned Scottie clothes]: Aww yeah! Tagay ("Cheers" in English), to all our pamilya ("Family" in English) and our Thanksgiving celebration! 'Happy Thanksgiving Day', everyone! 😄
Well, that's all for now and 'Happy Thanksgiving Day' to all! 😄🦃🍂🍁

Sunday, November 24th, 2024.
Are you an official couple with the last person you kissed? Not anymore. I haven't seen or spoken to that person in years.
Looking back, did you ever think you would be where you are now? I don't have to go back terribly far for my current life to be something of a surprise. I might have wanted it to be this way, but I certainly didn't expect it to be. I am very happy that it is, though. I seem to be on the path of something very livable.
Do you like someone? I don't.
Is a best friend pissing you off right now? Naw. I don't think we've had any drama or tension between us since sometime around 2021.
Are you happier now or three months ago? I am quite a bit happier now. Life is beginning to take on more of a dreamy, creative quality very befitting of this Pisces. ;D
What’s the greatest thing that happened to you today? Visiting the Mountain Park for a picnic. I needed that (albeit very brief) dose of wilderness and snow.
How old do you think you will be when you finally have kids? I don't plan on ever having children.
Are you waiting for something? For a berry bourbon tart to finish baking. It's in the oven now and I can't wait to try it.
If you could change your eye color would you? It would be cool to be able to change my eye color on a whim, but I'm fine with what I have.
What was the weather like today? At the Mountain Park, it was mostly cloudy and chilly with gusty winds. Back in town, it's warmer and sunnier, but still pretty windy.
Do you think you’ll be married in ten years? Life can change so quickly and in such unexpected ways, so while it doesn't feel very likely at the moment, who knows what the future will hold. Like I said above, I certainly didn't expect to be where I am now, and that change more or less took place over the course of 1-2 years. 10 years is a looong time.
Does your ex still love/like you? I have no idea how they feel about me now.
Are you stubborn? In some ways, but I'm also very relenting/go-with-the-flow in others.
Do you tend to hold a grudge? Mmm. It depends. I think I'm more likely to hold a grudge while a situation persists, but less likely to cling onto it once things have quieted down. I might still think negatively of the person in question, but it won't be an active or predominant part of my life.
Where were you at 9am this morning? Mountain Park.
How has the week been? It's been nice.
Did you go out or stay in last night? I stayed in.
Something you do a lot? Lately, bake. I've made six different desserts over the past month - Oreo coffee cake, creamy cashew turtle pie, pecan pie, carrot cake, cream cheese brownie pie, and the berry bourbon tart mentioned above.
How many states have you lived in? Two - Louisiana and Colorado.
Can you commit to one person? I can commit in the sense that I wouldn't cheat on someone, but when it comes to self-sabotage or negative self-fulfilling prophecies, that remains to be seen.
Who was the last person to hold your hand? Probably a past partner.
How many chances do you tend to give people before enough is enough? Depends on the person. Depends on the issue.
Do you think you and your best friend will be friends in 10 years? I hope so. I don't see any reason why we wouldn't be.
What do you miss most about your ex?
Are you attracted to the last person that kissed you? I was.
What’s a fact about the last person you kissed?
Something you really want right now? Snooow. Hopefully on Wednesday.
How long have you liked the person you like?
Does any part of your body hurt right now? Not really.
Did anyone see you kiss the last person you kissed? No.
Can you recall the last time you liked someone? It's been a while.
Are you happy with the way things are going? Mostly.
Do you think you will be in a relationship 3 months from now? No.
What plans do you have for tomorrow? Animal shelter in the morning, then housecleaning and relaxing for the rest of the day.
Has a friendship ended recently that you wish hadn’t? No.
Ever given your ALL to someone who walked away? I guess so…?
Have you ever kissed the last person you texted? No.
Do you and your last ex hate each other?
When was the last time you were sick? I had a migraine last Wednesday and into Thursday.
Are you one of those people who are always cold? No.
Do you tend to waste a lot of money? I can be a little wasteful.
Have you ever regretted kissing someone? Eh. Yeah.
When was the last time you got a haircut? I gave myself a buzzcut a few days ago.
Did you sing at all today? Maybe…?
Would you rather be able to control the weather or control traffic? The weather.
Do you own any articles of clothing with skulls on it? I might have something with skulls on it somewhere, but nothing I'm inclined to wear these days.
Are you faster at text messaging or typing on the computer? Typing.
If you won a trip to a nude beach would you go or give the trip away? How would I even win such a thing in the first place? I mean, why would I enter a raffle or competition with that as the prize, seeing as I have no interest in it? Anyway, I'd give it away.
In your opinion which is the stronger emotion: love or hate? I don't even know how to measure the strength of one emotion versus another.
Tongue piercings - cute or trashy? Whatever.
When it comes to jeans: skinny, flared or boot cut? Boot cut.
Would you rather be a star ballerina or a star break dancer? Both sound cool in different ways. I wouldn't want to be a star, but it would be nice to have those skills.
Honestly - can you say that looks don’t matter at ALL? They don't matter that much to me, and they tend to matter less and less the more I get to know someone.
When it comes to Baseball would you rather be on the field or in the stands? Neither really, but if I had to choose, then in the stands.
I’ve got to know, who do you prefer: Mario or Luigi?
Have you ever changed clothes in a public area (not a dressing room)? Possibly.
How many months apart is your birthday from your best friends? My birthday is in March and theirs is in November.
Yes or no: Techno music? Not my favorite, but it's alright.
Yes or no: pigtails? I don't care what other people do with their hair, but when it comes to my own style, it's a no.
They say diamonds are a girls best friend; what do you say?
Has anybody ever told somebody one of your secrets? Idk.
Have you ever kissed anybody who had a mustache? Not just a mustache, but facial hair in general, yes.
If you were famous do you think you could handle the popularity? I have no idea how I would react under those conditions, but I think I would resent having my life under a microscope.
Have you ever kissed someone whose name started with a letter P? No.
Did you talk to one of your best friends today? What did you talk about? I need to respond to a text from Ollie…
Do you get on better with funny or serious people? Funny. That's not to say I prefer people who are completely unserious, but I do prefer people who are more on the easygoing side.
Do you have mood swings around the time of the month? I just get kind of sad for no reason. I don't really have wild mood swings.
Have your friends met the last person you kissed?
How old is your oldest cousin?
What if you saw your best friend holding hands with your ex?
Your last relationship, who dumped who?
How old were you when you had your first boyfriend/girlfriend?
Is your home town nice? It has its nice points and its not-so-nice points. It's familiar. It's home. Idk. I don't really see myself leaving (as much as I may yearn from my cabin in the mountains).
What if you got stuck in a lift with the last person who Facebook messaged you? I don't even know who that was, but I would hate to be stuck in an elevator with anyone, no matter how much I liked them.
When/where did your last hug take place? In the car outside of my house. My mom dropped me off after we went out for lunch last Wednesday.
Do you consider yourself mature enough to make your own decisions? Sometimes I just don't know the right course of action or don't have the knowledge to make the right decision, but I do try to make as many of my own decisions as I can. That way, if something goes wrong, then I have only myself to blame.
Have your parents ever told you about their love lives, and any previous relationships they had before they met? A little bit.
You get a text from someone saying that they want to hang out - who would you most like it to be from?
Do you and your friends have any inside jokes?
Do you think someone has feelings for you? Are these feelings returned?
What if the last person you texted were to ask you out?
Do you believe in love at first sight? I guess I believe in some sort of intuitive connection or attraction at first sight.
Would you prefer to be somewhere else right now? If so, where? And why would you prefer to be there? Here is good.
When you listen to music, do you ever find that the songs affect your moods and change how you feel? Yeah.
Can you remember what you dreamt about last night? One fragment involved being somewhere like a futuristic mall. A portion of it was dedicated to Elon Musk with displays of his inventions or whatever. There was also a store in which people were lining up to receive some sort of "communion." I don't recall whether Elon was the one handing it out or not, but I was just like, "Hmm...weird." Another fragment involved a group of cats in my care and fretting over a missing kitten. I think I must have had the feral cats in mind…but anyway, I don't think I ever found the missing kitten and was worried it was dead. That's sort of a repeat theme for me - having a bunch of cats with one I can't find or that I've forgotten about only to remember weeks later. Wonder what that's about, lmao. Maybe there's something I'm ignoring or overlooking that needs attention…

Before, I was just putting down whatever I got. Since knowing Zayne a little better, I made the design of the desk more intentional.
Windy Carrot: He doesn't like carrots.🤭
Fleecy: It was the first plushie we got together.
Fluffy Doggie: It reminds me of Pie. Which I believe is snow fox, but the actual fox doesn't look anything like him. 🤷♀️
Golden Busy Goose: Zayne's Foreseer Myth is the only myth pair I own. I was even able to get one of them twice, so it could rank up. So he's literally my golden goose when it comes to collecting diamonds, gold, etc.
Dark Fleecy: It’s for Dawnbreaker. And the tragedy of Dawnbreaker aside, Zayne just looks good in black. And he's always wearing that black shirt and sunglasses combo.🙄
Kitty badges: I try to use the cake themed ones because he loves sweets. Some of the Kitties are placeholders until I pull specific ones for him.
I still can't believe I haven't pulled the macaroon one yet. And there's another which is a reference to his Foreseer. But I've pulled that one with all the other guys.😮💨
I'm trying for a more organized look since he likes things tidy. But I don't exactly have a surgeon's skill when moving them around.

The soup (?)
We met at the drama club. It was at the end of a cold and windy day in November and the days were slowly but surely getting colder. We all met up after our classes and generally either did fun exercises or worked on our current project and would after have dinner either at a cheap restaurant, fast food or we would all bring our own lunch and eat at one of our friends' place. Today was no exception, we decided on bringing our own dinner. I had made a lot of soup from vegetable scraps I'd collected and left in my freezer, I simply cleaned them, boiled, strained them and added some potatoes and carrots before blending it all. It wasn't fancy but it tasted comforting. I brought a whole jar of it with me, just in case other people wanted some. I asked my friend whose flat we were at if I could use a pot to heat up the soup, promising to clean up afterwards. As my little concoction warmed up, the air was being filled with the scent of all the vegetables. The sweet carrots and onions, the leeks, the fresh thyme and the tomatoes. I was mesmerised by the swirling pattern in the pot, still trying to follow the conversation as I made sure the soup was thoroughly heated. My friend took out three bowls, one for her, one for me and another one for another friend who had asked to try it. I served them first and poured what was left in my own bowl. I sat down and tried getting back into the conversation: "So what did you do after she stormed off like that?" Sophia who had been lamentating about her love life -much to our entertainment- was telling us about her soon-to-be ex. "I texted her to demand an explanation, of course! I mean, seriously! Who tries to cheat on you *in public* and then hopes to get away with it when you catch them red-handed! And she even had the gall to push the blame on ME!" I chuckled and took a sip of my soup; her life had always been similar to soap operas and somehow even more entertaining. As interested by the story as I was, I was still curious as to how my soup was recieved. Was it even palatable to other people? I looked to my left and saw my friend, the host, who had decided to take a sip while looking at Sophia with smiling eyes. I looked over to my right and saw my other friend, also listening to Sophia but something looked off. They looked as though they had something else on their mind and were simply staring in Sophia's direction. They picked up their bowl, took a sip and closed their eyes.
As we all left to go home, the two of us were walking in the same direction as our buses went at the same stop. As it was only the two of us, I wanted to ask them if they were all right but I was worried: what if I was intruding? What if asking would be out of line? A cold wind blew through my coat and I shivered and gave an awkward laugh. "Why does it have to be this cold already?! I'll turn into an icicle before January at this rate!" They chuckled at my remark, I felt a strange pride from having made them laugh until I saw the joy die down on their face. I figured it was now or never. "Erm... Will?" They looked up at me and I felt nervous again. I was fidgeting with the hem of my sleeves as I spoke again: "I'm sorry if I'm overstepping but I noticed you looked off earlier, so I just wanted to ask if... Well, if you... were all right?" I tried looking at them with sincerity, I was genuinely worried for them but I also didn't want my question to come off as rude. Their breath hitched but they managed to hide with a smile I could only describe as the midpoint of a polite smile and a forced one. "Yes, of course. Why you ask?" I felt nervous again. Was it a cue for me to back off or was there still a possibility to prod further? I decided to take my chances. "I don't know, you were looking at Sophia but you also looked like you were thinking of something else and kind of fading away. I'm not very good at explaining, I'm sorry..." They looked at me with a mildly surprised expression. "No, you're fine. And yeah, what Sophia said reminded me of something else, that's all." I felt I had gotten all the answers I could get from them and decided not to ask further. I looked at my phone for the time, my bus was going to arrive soon. "The soup was nice, by the way, thanks for sharing it." I looked up and saw them look in the direction the bus would arrive at, making it difficult for me to see their expression. My bus arrived and I waved goodbye.
