Notes

Everybody is all smiles for the group picture, from heroes to villains and everything in-between. Even characters who were otherwise sticks in the mud like Hank genuinely smile for the picture. Villains such as Muntz, de la Cruz, Lotso, Thunderclap and his gang, Syndrome, Evelyn, Randall, Waternoose, Hopper, Skinner, and Ercole, as much of evil psychopaths they were, are seen tenderly and respectfully singing along. Even Sid, who was a massive bully to Hannah, is seen giving her a kind brotherly embrace. Also, most movies’ main cast seem to be cramped together. Even the villains stand near their respective heroes, everyone in a healthy relationship with their families and loved ones are tenderly holding each other close, and many of the larger characters offer their bodies for the smaller ones.

Forky, Heimlich, Dory, Jack-Jack, Mater, WALL-E, and one of the triplets wave at the camera.

Dim and Wee Dingwall give the camera dopey smiles.

The egg-shaped bluebirds and the gawky bird stand perched above the entrance. The bluebirds are happy to have the gawky bird with them, a far cry from how they treated him in their short.

Sulley carries Boo tenderly in his arms. Helen does the same to Jack-Jack, as do Presto with Alec, Carl and Russell with Kevin’s babies, Elinor and Fergus with their triplet sons, Embarrassment with Envy, Massimo with Machiavelli, and Izzy with Sox.

Terri attempts to dance before his other half stops him.

Hank carries Marlin, Dory, and Nemo in a coffee pot.

Voyd and Abby giddily bounce in place, clearly the most excited for the photo.

Linguini carries Remy while Colette holds Django and Emile.

WALL-E and EVE hold the umbrellas from The Blue Umbrella.

HAN-S still can’t stay still, shaking aggressively as the photo is taken.

Kevin and her babies take the time to mimic Carl once again.

Maudie and the Clan Dingwall hunk share a loving look.

Young Macintosh flexes his pecs while giving the camera a cocky smile, the same type of smile given by characters like Terry, Darby, and Clod.

The Witch has her Crow standing perched on her shoulder.

Being stationary volcanoes, Uka and Lele are unable to leave their photo. Thankfully, they have Thunderclap and his gang to hold it so they can be in the group picture.

Nostalgia sticks her head out from behind Embarrassment, clearly hiding from the other emotions.

Riley, Grace, and Bree all carry Knick together while Riley’s parents carry the Miami and Florida knick knacks, Val and the Fire Hawks carry the Egypt, Jamaica, Palm Springs, Israel, and Death Valley knick knacks, and Coach Roberts carries Sunny Atlantis in her fish bowl.

Cindy, Son’s fiancée, winks at the camera as the photo is taken.

Machiavelli gives the camera his standard bored look.

Mei has her red hair, panda ears, and panda tail, continuing to embrace her panda.

Aaron Z gives the camera a thumbs up while Tae Young makes a heart with his hands.

Izzy gives Sox a neck scratch.

Alisha and Kiko’s inclusion also counts due to their backlash following the movie’s release.

#agreed with the last point especially which isn't mentioned much! #i am good with subtitles #but am completely incapable off handling subtitles with close captions #takes me out of the story completely and i can't stop focusing on them #and the relationship between the audio and the close captions specifically #[wind rustles menacingly] for example like WAS it menacing #how menacing are we talking here #and then two scenes have past and i'm derailed and giggling about memacing windgusts #literally only a problem when there are no subtitles in English without close captions #my partner needs subtitles to hear the words and process them #and i can't handle the close caption additions #SHOWS PLEASE MAKE SUBTITLES BOTH WITH AND WITHOUT CLOSE CAPTIONS PLZ!!! 🙏

subtitles should be on automatically. people who don’t want them should have to turn them off

another round of dreams in one night

inside a dorm someone had brought their wholass PC setup with 2 monitors and everything for just a few days. he was very reserved, and seemed like an unlikable character - as they do - but it felt reasonable within his desire for privacy. we hung out every now and then, but a few days before we would all leave, when we were in the kitchen, he secretly pointed to himself in the mirrored surface of the kettle, only to reveal that his image was frozen in a menacing, and unnaturally wide smile. apart from that nothing much has happened, i had to participate in a parting event before i left, fighting the others in some sort of all-rounder competition. i have no idea how, but it appears that i had passed, and left in a big blue SUV, through some beautiful fields and small towns. moving on from that i found myself yet again participating in a competition. this time around it was for a TV show. i was pretty sure it would be a cooking competition, but the preparational round was like a super mario level. there were multiple levels, and i didn't even understand what to do, so i ended up losing my right to participate, along with a lot of others who seemed to have a similar problem. we were not allowed to leave during the narration and introduction of the whole concept of the show, so it took me a while to realise, that we hadn't made it to the first official round. instead, we heard - but didn't see, as we were in the back - the guest stars that would judge and perform on the show. when it was finally time to roll ads, and free us losers, we saw the guest stars. one of them was a friend of mine i hadn't seen in a while. we were really happy to see each other, and she gave me a long and warm hug. we wanted to catch up outside by a flower field on a really high hill. she showed me a video of a bunch of teenagers attacking a local of that neighbourhood who took out his grill to bbq alongside them. about then is when i realised how the neighbour across from our field had a huge project in his garden of a fake tree. he used glasswool for the "leaves", and it was an absurd amount that just hung from an enourmous tree. it was at least 4 times the size of his house, and as i said out loud how stupid it is to use glasswool, a windgust had shaken it to loose a ton of microglass. i closed my eyes and mouth with my arms and made my way to leave the spot. i told her i would show her my favourite way home at this time of day, so as we all walked down the hill, the sun already had started to set, tinting the sky in a heterogenous mix of rosepink and apricot. it wasn't all too visible from where we were though, so i urged her to hurry a bit. the sky turned dark, revealing a battlestar-like object floating high in the sky. it had a huge lense, almost like a flying projector, and everyone was excited to see them at first. as we walked, and the sky had turned completely dark, it turned out to be multiple of those eyes in the sky, flying over the whole town. i panicked and put up my hood, as i suddenly started to feel extremely watched. i quickly made my way down to my grandma's place, where i was greeted by someone i did not recognise at all. there was a strange presence, but i just wanted to eat some cake. apparently i had applied to some art university, even though my main field of work were in science engineering, and they had invited me over for an interview. i also had a red ferrari, which isn't important at all, but a funny detail. my mom reminded me of how everything depended on me, putting the pressure on for no other reason than trying to make my own efforts into her own after not even having been there at all for years. annoying, but ignorable. there was a family friend to show her support, but she ended up interrupting me whenever i wanted to ask a question. when i tried to stop her my sister made underhanded comments as always, telling me the annoying high-pitched voice for sure was there, but it didn't come from the lady in front of us. it was all just a farce. how useless. time to wake up.

Storming

I love me some bad weather, rain, snow,

windgusts cresting over the horizon,

surging through trees, bending them like

acolytes admonished before the storm

darkening the sky, scattering birds,

ripping through backyards, sending toys

and canvas and trashcans down deserted

streets and into hedges and fences

shutting down production, closing schools,

blackening the streets, killing televisions

and kitchen lights, urging us to take stock

of supplies, count cans and bottles

getting our attention, reminding us that

all of this is tenuous, temporary, ultimately

unsustainable, consumers sitting upon

a knife edge of civilization, bending

slowly sinking into the bloody wound

of unpredictability, pretending we don’t

notice it, know it deep in our bones like

tree roots freshly exposed to the lighting

so I sit on the porch in the rising tide of

chaos flooding across the lawns awaiting

the appetizer of Armageddon to which

each weather event earnestly aspires.
