Chapter 2: Wind Blew Over

Narrated by William.

Narrator: Someone called AiE... The name sounded familiar to me, like I'd heard it somewhere before...

Narrator: It's a simulation game, but it still ranks players on how well they do with their farms.

Narrator: I checked out the leaderboard and AiE was number one, while I was in second place...

Narrator: No wonder she could raid my farm!

Choose "Are you going to keep playing?"

You: Are you going to give up on the game?

Narrator: Seeing the leaderboard rankings, a fire burned within me.

Narrator: I found a new purpose in the game.

Narrator: I was going to take from AiE's farm.

Narrator: I went to visit AiE's farm, and browsed the ranch and turf.

Narrator: Gosh, was it even more extravagant than mine!

Narrator: The resources were impeccably managed and maintained.

Narrator: Along with their many crops, AiE even planted flowers, too...

Narrator: It wasn't just lavish, it was truly breathtaking!

Narrator: The sun showered the entire farm with glistening golden rays.

Narrator: A particularly red rose in the bushes added brightness to the scene.

Narrator: Even the BGM was carefully selected.

Narrator: It had a smooth guitar mingling with the crisp sound of a piano.

Narrator: The note the piano played sounded like the rain drops outside tapping against my window.

Narrator: The guitar strums were gentle, like a warm summer breeze.

Narrator: It was a perfect harmony between the virtual world and reality.

Narrator: It even made me zone out a little.

Narrator: It took a while for me to snap out of it and remember I was there to scout the enemy!

Narrator: My sister started to rant again about not being able to go out to see the flowers.

Susan: April is almost over. When will it stop raining?

Narrator: Okay, I'm done scouting! You may have pretty flowers, but they're all mine now!

Narrator: I decided to sneak into AiE's farm late at night and get some flowers to show to my sister to cheer her up.

Narrator: I followed the wi-fi signals to AiE's farm.

Narrator: She shouldn't be up this late, so this should be easy!

Narrator: I just have to watch out for the guard dogs...

Narrator: I was about to steal the flower when robots suddenly appeared and cast spotlights on me!

Narrator: Oh no, I'm busted!

Narrator: I swear I could feel the sting of the spotlights on my face even from behind my screen.

Narrator: I just got caught red-handed in the middle of the night. I was in big trouble...

Narrator: Then, AiE came out.

William: Uh, good evening... Why are you up?

AiE: Good evening. Why are you up as well?

William: I couldn't sleep, so I decided to check out who was online... but you're the only other player that's online right now...

AiE: Oh, I see.

Narrator: AiE was so naive that she actually believed it!

AiE: I usually don't get company this late at night. You're welcome to visit me whenever you'd like.

Narrator: The full moon lit up the whole ranch in the game.

William: Yeah, sure!

has tapetum lucidum - it's a hereditary thing + was sort of a major giveaway as to his parentage when he was a wee thing

after the fall of garreg mach, developed a habit of talking to his dogs and also the ravens that hang around since he isolated himself from most human contact. even after rejoining the group he will talk without thinking and does not realize it makes him a little unsettling!

treated myself to the very short beginning section of three houses just now but i had to stop n turn off my switch when the game asked me to pick a house bc i started agonising over whether to go w edelgard first or just jump straight into the claude route

it’s so warm and sunny outside I want to do yard work but it’s going to be cold this weekend so I know I should just wait it out but I want to go outside and work on the lawn (our new place has a decent sized yard but it hasn’t been well maintained) and put in a bunch of flowers and hang up wind chimes and put out the yard signs and hang up the bird feeders and get pots ready for veggies and clean up the parking lot and driveway and and and and I know it’s Not Really Spring Yet in my state but afgksldkk I want to do yard work!!!!

It's not really Munday!

✄ What is an idea you originally had in mind for your muse, but ended up scrapping? Why?

Sera is the wind. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when I first dipped my toes in the FF fandom, I had this idea Sera was wind-aligned - She lived up in trees (that stuck!) but for the most part, she was the 'voice on the wind' and more unseen until she just kindda... Popped into view and made herself known, or 'summoned the breeze'. She was a lot more loose and talkative back then too to match, but still pretty chill and sweet? Also liked to be more physical and the moment she thought of you as a friend, she'd just flop like a fish out of water XD But yeah that was REALLY shortlived and got scrapped a long time ago because neither Sera nor I were happy with that, honestly!

Also fun fact: A lot of what led to Sera being ice aligned got scrapped for similar reasons, though that also had the added bonus of being a pretty toxic time in my rp'ing 'career' and all that actually stuck is 'Sera is actually stronger than even she thinks and ice aligned but can't access a lot of that strength'. Swordmaster Sera who froze people from the inside out just isn't my dork, either. <3
