In the timeline where the universe in Lebanon allows John to stay, Dean’s first inner breakdown comes from finding John intruding into the bunker kitchen, expertly chopping carrots for a pot roast.
Dean can’t even put into words why he’s so upset.
He flees to the library.
Sam says, “He’s trying, Dean. We have to let him try.”
///
Dean stomachs the dinner.
But he can’t stomach the leftovers that John carefully wraps and stores in the bunker fridge.
///
So, that’s how Cas finds him, at 2 a.m., frantically scraping the containers of pot roast into the garbage.

What I'd Give
Pairing: Dean Winchester x plus size!reader
Summary: When Dean is gravely injured on a hunt, (Y/N) makes a deal to save him--a deal that might just cost her everything.
Warnings: canon violence, swearing, mentions of death/dying. SMUT, dom/sub vibes, choking kink, overstimulation, oral (F receiving), unprotected sex (P in V)
You screamed helplessly as you watched your best friend and fellow hunter be thrown from the window across the room. You'd just managed to stab the demon you were fighting a mere second before you heard the breaking of glass.
You yanked the angel blade out of the demon's chest and ran straight towards the demon who'd just tossed your friend out the window. You stabbed the demon in the back, bringing an end to the fight.
You looked out the window and saw the horrific scene three stories down. Your heart clenched in your chest as you raced to the stairs, making it outside in record time.
"Dean!" you cried as you reached his broken body. "No, no, no, no..."
You were almost afraid to touch him--afraid to search for a pulse and not find one. You exhaled sharply and pulled yourself together, placing a firm hand against his neck. You could feel a very weak pulse beneath your fingertips and you knew he was in trouble.
The fall had certainly broken some bones and he likely had internal injuries of some kind. The glass from the window had sliced his skin in a million places, and you were worried he would have severe head trauma as well.
Normally, you would call out to Castiel and he would come running to save Dean, but this wasn't a normal day. Cas had been missing in action for weeks, and neither you nor the Winchesters knew where he was.
Dean's safety--his survival--depended solely on you. The two of you had been hunting alone, while Sam was out helping Garth on a different hunt. You'd hunted together countless times, but neither of you had ever been this seriously injured.
You knew he was dying--as surely as if there was a neon sign screaming "death!" above his head. You couldn't stand the thought of losing him, so you made a decision that would change your life.
"Anyone who's listening, I need your help," you called out. "Please...I will do anything...just save him."
You waited in silence for a few moments, hoping against hope someone would hear your call and take pity on you. You weren't exactly on good terms with most angels, but you couldn't help but hope at least one of them would care.
You heard the soft flap of wings that always signaled the arrival of an angel and you looked up hopefully. You inhaled sharply when your eyes met the glowing red eyes of the man who had come to rescue you--or should you say, archangel.
"Well hello, (Y/N). It's nice to see you again."
"Lucifer," you hissed lowly.
"In the flesh!"
"What are you doing here?"
"I heard your call," he said simply. "And well, let's be honest, no one else is coming to help you."
"Did you come here to gloat?"
"Of course not. Even I'm not cruel enough to find joy in the death of Dean Winchester."
"Then why did you come?"
"To save him, obviously."
Surprise lit up your face. Out of all the responses you'd expected, that hadn't been on the list. "Pardon?"
Lucifer smiled darkly. "For a small fee, of course."
"Ahh," you acknowledged. "That sounds more like it. What do you want?"
"Nothing too extravagant."
"Lucifer..." you growled.
"As you can see, this vessel isn't doing so well." He gestured to himself and you had to admit, he looked like absolute shit. "In fact, it's dying...which means I'm in need of a new one."
"Absolutely not," you said instantly. "He would never say yes to you."
Lucifer smirked. "I wasn't referring to him."
Your eyes widened. "I'm not an archangel vessel," you whispered.
"No, but you are a vessel. And I think you're strong enough to contain me long enough to find me a better one."
You swallowed thickly. There was no way you were going to agree to this...you knew what being an archangel's vessel would do to you and you weren't exactly interested in being strapped to a nuclear bomb.
"No," you said firmly.
"Suit yourself," he said with a shrug. "But just remember, Dean's death will be on your hands now."
You exhaled in defeat as you looked down at the man in your arms. You knew he was close to death--no hospital would be able to save him. Lucifer was your only option.
"Save him first," you whispered.
Lucifer smirked, knowing he'd won. "I would, (Y/N), but this vessel is simply too weak. I would need your body in order to save him."
You looked up into his dark eyes and considered his words. "I don't trust you."
"You would be a fool to trust me after all we've been through. However, I need you...and I need Dean alive and well to help me find an archangel vessel. Possessing you is a good motivator for him."
You clenched your jaw as you thought about your options. It took you mere moments to realize you didn't have any. You would rather die than allow Dean to...so your decision was made in an instant.
"Fine," you murmured softly. You looked up at the monster standing before you and exhaled slowly. "Yes," you breathed.
Lucifer wasted no time--immediately exiting his vessel and entering your body, taking over in an instant.
It was painful, feeling his energy within you, and you knew with absolute certainty you wouldn't be surviving this--no way in hell.
To your surprise, you were fully aware of everything happening around you. You could still see and hear--but you had no control over your body in any way.
Lucifer--you--reached out to Dean and touched him. Your palms began to glow and you watched the various wounds on his body heal quickly. His bright green eyes slowly blinked open and he looked up at you in surprise and confusion.
"What happened?" he groaned.
"You got tossed out a window," your voice said, though it was not you speaking.
Dean sat up and rubbed at his head. He looked down at himself, clearly surprised by his lack of serious injuries. "I fell three stories down..."
You nodded.
"How am I not dead?"
You felt your lips curl into a smile--a slightly cruel smile you knew was not your own. "You're welcome."
Dean's eyes narrowed in confusion. "What?"
Unbeknownst to you, your eyes began to glow red, alerting Dean to the presence of someone else in your body--and there was only one creature you knew whose eyes glowed red.
"Lucifer?" Dean yelled angrily.
"The one and only," he replied.
"How the hell...why are you...where's (Y/N)?"
"Oh she's right here," he said with a smile, tapping the side of your head. "Watching and listening like a little creep."
"Well it is my head, you asshole," you mumbled.
"Doesn't mean it's not creepy," Lucifer's voice hissed inside your mind.
You didn't like the idea that Lucifer could hear your thoughts and speak to you like that...and it made you wonder what else he could see within your mind.
"Everything," he teased darkly.
"Fuck."
"Get the hell out of her body," Dean growled.
"Not a chance, buck-o. (Y/N) was kind enough to invite me in, so I think I'll stay a while."
Dean pulled an angel blade out of his back pocket and pointed it at you. You knew he would never use it if it meant killing you too. It was an idle threat and Lucifer knew it.
Lucifer simply laughed. "You're not going to use that, so put it away."
"Get out of her and I won't have to."
"Oh please, you won't kill her."
Dean's expression remained impassive, but you could see his resolve waning. You knew him too well to miss the small tells. Unfortunately, that meant Lucifer knew him just as well.
"Let's make this easy on ourselves," he began. "Everything (Y/N) knows, I know. Every memory, every thought, every feeling, everything. So put the damn blade down before I have to break your arm."
You could see the anger on Dean's face, but he lowered the blade and slipped it back inside his jacket. "Why the hell did she invite you in?"
"You were about 5 minutes from death and she couldn't save you."
"So what, she called out to you?" Dean asked in disbelief.
"She called out to everyone...I'm just the only one who responded." You felt your eyes glance around in slight concern. "Speaking of, we should probably get out of here, just in case."
Dean nodded and lead the way to the Impala, which was parked a short distance away. You got into the passenger seat like usual and you saw Dean tense up at your proximity. He clearly didn't like the idea of the Devil riding shotgun.
"So why did you heal me?"
"I need your help," Lucifer admitted.
"What makes you think I'd ever help you?"
"I knew you wouldn't, which is why I convinced (Y/N) to let me have her body for a little while."
"Convinced?"
"I may have told her a little white lie--that my old vessel was too weak for me to save you. She didn't exactly offer herself up, but she didn't fight very hard when she realized I was her only option."
"You slimy son of a bitch," you growled.
"I'm the devil, (Y/N). What did you expect?"
"You son of a bitch," Dean mumbled, echoing your sentiments. "What exactly do you want from me?"
"I need to find an actual archangel vessel. I'm getting tired of jumping from vessel to vessel...they keep burning out. It's rather tiresome."
"Well you're not touching Sam, or me for that matter."
"I wouldn't dream of it," he insisted. "I know there are others out there, but I need someone with your connections to help me locate one."
Dean raised his eyebrows. "My connections?"
"Well, Bobby Singer's connections, really...but the best way to him is through you, and the best way to you is through her."
Dean exhaled angrily. You knew he was mad at you just as much as he was mad at Lucifer. You were surprised he hadn't given you an earful yet, even with Lucifer listening in.
"Fine," Dean grumbled. "But the moment we find you a vessel, I want you out of her body. Do you understand me?"
"Perfectly," Lucifer answered.
"Now just sit there quietly until we get to Bobby's, understand? I want absolute silence."
"Well that's boring--"
"I can't stand hearing you speak with her voice, okay? So shut up."
Lucifer smirked, but fell silent, deciding instead to annoy you.
"He's mad at you, isn't he?"
"I said yes to you...of course he's mad."
"Does he know?"
"Know what?"
"How you feel about him?"
"I would really like you to shut the hell up now, Lucifer," you hissed.
"But I'm so bored," he whined.
"I don't give a damn and neither does Dean. It's about 2 hours to Bobby's place...can you be silent for 2 hours?"
"Fine," he grumbled. "It'll give me more time to dig around in your brain anyway..."
"Shit--no!"
You tried to shut him out of your mind as best as you could, but you could still feel him rooting around in your head...making himself at home and digging into memories and thoughts and feelings that were never meant to be shared with another soul.
**********
"What an unsightly place," Lucifer grumbled as he--you--followed Dean up the stairs to Bobby's door.
Dean shot an annoyed glare in your direction, but didn't comment.
"Bobby!" he called as he entered the house.
Bobby came into view and offered you both a tired smile. "Hey you two. What brings you to Sioux Falls?"
"We were close by on a hunt and now we need your help," Dean answered.
"Sure. Come on in."
Neither you, nor Lucifer, had said a word of greeting to Bobby, which struck the older man as odd.
"You alright, (Y/N)?"
"Oh I'm just peachy," your voice answered.
Bobby's eyes narrowed at you, immediately noticing your voice was off. Besides, you didn't tend to talk to Bobby like that.
Before Bobby could question you, Dean spoke up. "We need to find an archangel vessel...as fast as possible."
Bobby stared at him for a moment. "Dean, you are an archangel vessel."
"Yeah, well I need one to house the devil--and it ain't gonna be me or Sam."
"Why the hell do you need a vessel for Lucifer?"
Your hand reached out and tapped Bobby on the shoulder. Judging by Bobby's shocked expression, you assumed your eyes were once again glowing red. Bobby quickly took a step back, looking between you and Dean in confusion.
"It's a long story," Dean muttered. "But I don't want him riding shotgun in (Y/N)'s head any longer than necessary, so we need to find him another vessel."
"Preferably before this current one starts to rot from the inside out," Lucifer added.
"Seriously, Lucifer?"
"Well that is essentially what happens, you know. I wouldn't want to damage such a pretty face."
"Oh fuck off," you grumbled.
"Why in god's name would she say yes to you?" Bobby asked angrily.
"To save my life, okay?" Dean snapped. "Look--we don't have time for this. I need your help to find another vessel. Please."
Bobby sighed and crossed the room to his desk, which was covered in books and papers--an organizational system only Bobby understood. He eyed you warily, but he didn't comment on the situation further.
"I assume you know how to find an archangel vessel," Lucifer commented.
"Perhaps you could enlighten me," Bobby responded.
Lucifer sighed and began to tell Bobby what he needed to look for. You ignored the words coming from our own mouth, instead focusing on Dean. You could see how upset he was and it made you feel incredibly foolish. You hated seeing him like this, but you didn't regret your decision. The mere fact he was alive to be angry made this whole thing worth it.
"How long do you think it'll take?" Dean asked, interrupting your thoughts.
"A week or two--maybe a little more," Bobby answered.
Dean looked in your direction, eyeing you with concern. "Will (Y/N) last that long?"
"Might wanna keep it closer to two weeks," Lucifer replied.
"You're lying, aren't you?" you asked quietly.
"Do you want me to tell them the truth?"
You sighed internally. "I think Dean deserves to know."
"A week would be even better," Lucifer said aloud.
Dean stared at you, worry deepening the lines on his face. His gaze traced your face, searching for any signs of deception--or maybe signs of damage.
"Well then," Bobby muttered. "Better get started."
**********
You sat in the corner, feet up on another chair as you watched Dean and Bobby. You could tell both of them were extremely worried, but their focus was on finding another vessel. They didn't have time to dive into their fears for your life.
Lucifer, on the other hand, seemed to think he had all the time in the world. He was quite happy to torture you instead of providing the two hunters with any assistance.
"Why haven't you told Dean?" he asked for what had to be the 1,000th time.
"There's nothing to tell, Lucifer. Would you just back off?"
"You're really no fun, you know that?"
"Good. This isn't supposed to be fun for you."
"I can make it fun."
"I'd really rather you not."
"Too late!" he said gleefully.
You could feel him poking around inside your head again, searching for something he could use to hurt you with--or hurt Dean with. You tried to keep him away from your darkest secrets, from the things you'd never shared with another soul, not even Dean. But you noticed it was getting harder and harder to resist him. You weren't sure if it was because he was so strong or if you were becoming weaker. Either way, it was only a matter of time before Lucifer found something he shouldn't.
Unfortunately for you, that moment came much sooner than you'd anticipated.
"(Y/N)--fuck, I mean Lucifer...can I talk to you outside for a moment?" Dean asked suddenly, rising from his chair and heading outside without waiting for a reply.
"Well this should be fun," you mumbled internally.
"I assure you," Lucifer mocked. "It will be."
You felt your body moving, feet heading after Dean whether you wanted to or not.
Once outside, Dean turned to face you, eyes filled with a multitude of emotions you couldn't stand to see. "I want to talk to (Y/N)."
"Oh come now," Lucifer said. "You know that's not how it works."
"I know you can shut up and take a backseat. So that's what I want."
"Hmm..." Lucifer hummed thoughtfully. "You know, I'd rather not. Besides, (Y/N) doesn't really feel like talking to you right now."
"Fuck you, Lucifer. Let me talk to him!"
"Sorry, sweetheart. Ain't happening."
"Somehow I doubt that," Dean grumbled angrily.
"You can doubt it all you want, but I'm the one physically inside her head. I know what she's thinking and let me tell you, it's not very complimentary of you."
"What?" Dean asked in surprised confusion.
"You have no idea what she really thinks of you, do you?"
"Lucifer, what the hell are you doing?" you growled.
He ignored you, instead focusing on his conversation with Dean.
"She's my best friend," Dean responded. "What more do I need to know?"
Lucifer laughed cruelly. "I'm sorry, that's just too funny. You think she's your best friend?"
You could see the look of hurt cross Dean's face for a moment, but he quickly covered it up.
"Sorry," Lucifer said, laughter subsiding. "It's just hilarious that you think she cares about you that much."
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"She's tired of you, Dean. She's tired of your stubbornness, your self-loathing, your reckless behavior. She's tired of everything to do with you. She doesn't care about you--not really, anyway. You annoy the shit out of her, but she puts up with you because she feels like she has to."
You fought with everything you had to overpower Lucifer and take control of your mind and body. Not a single word Lucifer was uttering was true and you desperately wanted to tell Dean the truth.
"Stop fighting, (Y/N). You can't win," Lucifer whispered.
"Stop lying to him and I'll stop fighting," you insisted.
"No. I'm simply having too much fun."
Dean's face was impassive to the average person, but you saw through the mask on his face, and so did Lucifer. "I don't believe you," Dean said softly.
"You don't have to believe me. They're not my words. I'm simply relaying (Y/N)'s thoughts," Lucifer said with a shrug. "Haven't you ever wondered how she puts up with all your shit? You're not exactly walking sunshine, Dean. You're one of the most damaged humans I've ever met."
Dean inhaled deeply. "If she hates me so much, why does she stay?"
"Isn't it obvious?"
Neither you nor Dean knew what Lucifer was going to say next...and his words cut deeper than you'd expected them to.
"She's in love with your brother," Lucifer sneered.
"Lucifer, no!" you screamed.
Dean's eyes widened and shock settled onto his face. He turned around, his back to you in an attempt to collect himself.
You fought even harder...you needed to get this son of a bitch out of your body. It felt like you were locked inside your own mind with no way out. Lucifer was too strong and the harder you fought, the weaker you became. You quickly realized the more energy you expended, the stronger he became...there was no use in fighting him.
"You're a monster," you whispered.
"They call me the devil for a reason.'"
You didn't bother responding to him. Your heart was aching for Dean and all you wanted was to comfort him. You knew exactly where his head would be at right now and it was killing you.
He'd always compared himself to Sam--at least as long as you'd known him. He seemed to think Sam was better than him in a lot of ways and certainly more lovable. The mere idea that you agreed with that sentiment...that you loved Sam...it would break him and you knew it.
"Sam is better than you in every way," Lucifer added, stoking the fire. "Why would anyone love you when they could have Sam? He's everything you're not...sure of himself, confident, open and honest. Sam is better for (Y/N) than you could ever be."
Dean turned back around, face a mask of impassiveness once again. "Let's find you a vessel so you can get the hell out of our lives," he said in a low voice. "Besides, I wouldn't want to get in the way of Sam and (Y/N)'s love."
If you'd been capable of crying, you knew the tears would be streaming down your face in that moment. Your heart ached in a way you were unfamiliar with and you hoped Lucifer could feel the pain the same way you did.
"Why?" you whispered.
"Why what?"
"Why'd you say that to him?"
Lucifer laughed. "Simple...I knew it would hurt both of you. You're in love with him and if his reaction was anything to go by, it looks like he feels the same."
"We're both helping you right now. Why can't you just be grateful for 10 fucking minutes?" you hissed.
"Where's the fun in that?"
You knew the question was rhetorical, so you didn't bother responding. Instead, you quietly watched Dean walk away and you knew he was going to lose his shit. You could feel it as clearly as your own emotions.
"Let's follow him," Lucifer said happily.
"Let him take his anger out without an audience," you snapped.
Lucifer ignored you and quietly followed after Dean, keeping a distance to avoid being noticed.
Once Dean was farther away from the house and seemingly alone, he grabbed a crowbar from a nearby bench and began to beat the ever-loving-shit out of a junker car.
If you'd wondered about Dean's feelings for you before (and you had), you didn't wonder anymore. It was clear he cared about you in the same way you cared about him and you hated seeing him in such pain.
You wanted nothing more than to go to him, but Lucifer was much happier standing to the side and watching Dean suffer alone.
"Please," you whispered.
"You can tell him I'm a lying bastard if you manage to survive this."
"You and I both know that's not likely," you sighed quietly. "I don't want him to suffer and I don't want to die with him thinking I hate him."
"Pity. Guess you should have told him sooner..."
"Oh fuck off, Lucifer," you growled.
Lucifer's laughter echoed in your head and you hated him in that moment more than you could even begin to express.
**********
"You alright kid?" Bobby asked Dean when he returned to the house an hour or so later.
Lucifer, and therefore you, had returned shortly after watching Dean fall apart. When he'd dropped to his knees, tears streaming down his face, Lucifer had gotten bored and left.
"I'm fine," Dean lied. "Do you have any leads?"
"I've put out my feelers to every person I could think of. I'm sure someone will have something for me soon."
"Did you call Sam?"
Bobby shook his head. "I assumed you did."
"Call him and let him know what's going on. I'm going out."
"Where are you going?"
"Yeah, Dean," Lucifer chimed in, "where are you going?"
"The nearest bar. Don't wait up."
You tried to say his name, but your mouth refused to form the word.
As soon as Dean was out of earshot, Bobby turned his attention to you. "What the hell did you say to him?"
"Me?" Lucifer asked, feigning innocence. "Why would you think I did something?"
"Maybe because you're the devil?" Bobby answered sarcastically.
Lucifer smirked darkly. "I may have poked at all of his insecurities."
Bobby groaned. "You're a son of a bitch, you know that?"
"That's not a nice thing to say about my Father."
Bobby just glared at you and rolled his eyes. He got up and left the room and you assumed he was going to call Sam.
"I second Bobby's comment."
"I wear it like a badge of honor."
You knew exactly what Dean was going to do and it was killing you. He was going to drink until he couldn't feel a thing, pick up some random girl, and fuck her senseless--anything to feel something other than the ache in his chest. You knew him better than he knew himself...but in this moment, you desperately wished you didn't. You would give anything to not know what he was going to do.
**********
Three days later, one of Bobby's sources had a lead on a potential archangel vessel.
Dean hadn't spoken to you or Lucifer unless he absolutely had to. It was too hard to even look at your face and hearing your voice was a thousand times worse.
Sam was still out on a hunt with Garth, but he promised to be there to help as soon as he could.
"Do you want me to come with you?" Bobby asked Dean as the two of you were preparing to leave.
"The less people involved, the better. Stay here in case we need more intel," Dean responded.
"I don't like the idea of you traveling alone with Lucifer."
"I'll be fine."
Bobby didn't believe him anymore than you did, but neither of you commented on it--not that you could have if you'd wanted to.
As you/Lucifer and Dean climbed into the Impala, Dean didn't spare a glance in your direction.
"Isn't this fun?" Lucifer asked. "I've always wanted to go on a roadtrip."
Dean groaned. "What are the chances you'll be quiet during this drive?"
"Slim to none," Lucifer said with a smirk.
The response almost made Dean smile. It sounded like something you would say and technically it was your voice. He had to remind himself you weren't really talking to him--every word out of your mouth was Lucifer.
Dean took off without another word and you silently prayed this lead would pan out. You were extremely tired and it had only been about four days since Lucifer had possessed you.
By this point, you were having a hard time focusing on what was happening in the real world. You were in pain and you could feel your body weakening...you were dying and you knew it. You just hoped Dean didn't notice.
**********
By the time the three of you arrived at your destination, you were feeling terrible. You weren't even sure how much time had passed since you'd left Bobby's. In fact, you were pretty sure you'd fallen asleep very early on.
"It's been about 12 hours," Lucifer told you.
"I slept for 12 hours?"
"You're dying," he said nonchalantly. "So you're going to have a harder time staying awake."
"Great," you whispered sarcastically.
"Lucifer!" Dean growled. "You coming?"
"Of course."
Lucifer followed Dean into a building you assumed was an apartment complex. Sometime during the elevator ride, you must have fallen unconscious again, because when you opened your eyes again, you found yourself standing in a nice apartment.
Dean was talking calmly to a young man who looked moderately terrified.
"Is he the vessel?" you mumbled.
"Yes. I can feel it," Lucifer responded.
"Thank god..."
"I'm sorry, you want me to allow the literal devil to possess me?" the young man practically yelled at Dean. "That's assuming I even believe in the devil."
"Look man," Dean said with surprising calmness. "I know I sound insane, but it's all real. We need an archangel vessel and like it or not, that's you."
"What if I don't want to say yes?"
Dean grabbed him by his collar. "Then the woman he's currently wearing will die...and I will do anything to prevent that." His voice was low, barely above a growl.
The young man looked terrified, eyes wide with fear. "Are you threatening me?" he whispered.
Dean straightened out the guy's shirt and gave him a dark smile. "Of course not."
"So I have a choice?"
Lucifer chuckled. "Don't think for a moment he'll give you an option, kid."
The guy looked at you and you felt terrible for him. You understood his fear and apprehension...and it felt wrong to force Lucifer onto him. This kid didn't deserve it.
"We shouldn't be doing this," you mumbled.
"Too late, (Y/N). Dean knows he's an archangel vessel. There's no way he's going to leave without getting him to say yes."
You wanted to respond--to fight, but you couldn't. You were too weak...too tired. Everything hurt too much.
"What's it like?" the guy asked softly.
"Like being strapped to a rocket," Lucifer said snidely.
Dean shot him an annoyed glance. "You'll be fine. You were meant for this."
The guy's gaze remained fixated on you. "She looks like shit...am I going to look like that?"
Dean finally focused his gaze on your face and you saw the fear flash in his eyes. He could see you were dying. Your skin was pale, your eyes bloodshot, dark circles adorning them...your lips were cracked and there were slight lacerations appearing around your forehead and jawline.
"She wasn't meant to house the power of an archangel," Lucifer responded. "She's dying, but the same won't happen to you."
"Will she be okay if I say yes?"
"Yes," Lucifer lied smoothly.
The guy looked like he was contemplating what to do, so Dean spoke up again.
"Look, kid. She's important to me...more important to me than pretty much anyone else in this fucked up world. I would do anything to save her...she's--she's my brother's girl."
You wanted to tell him that wasn't true, but you knew it was fruitless to even try. Even still, your heart ached at his words.
"How long?" the guy asked, directing his question at Lucifer.
"As long as I want. You'll never age, never die, as long as I'm with you."
The guy nodded. "Alright. I'll do it." He stood up. "What do I need to do?"
"Just say 'yes'," Lucifer answered.
"Yes."
A bright white light filled the room and Dean had to shield his eyes. When the light faded, you were lying on the floor and Lucifer was now clearly possessing the young man they'd come to find.
"(Y/N)!" Dean yelled as he raced to your side.
Your pulse was faint and you looked even worse than you had moments before.
"Heal her," Dean demanded.
Lucifer's lips curled up in a cruel smile. "No."
"Excuse me?"
"I said no," he repeated. "I'm not interested in saving her."
"You wouldn't have a vessel without us. You owe her!"
"I'm the devil, Dean. What makes you think I give a damn about debts?"
Dean stared at him, anger and terror fighting for control in equal measure. He stood up and went to lunge at Lucifer, but the archangel simply disappeared, leaving you and Dean completely helpless and alone.
**********
Dean had rushed you to the hospital and was currently sitting in the waiting room, hoping to hear something about your condition.
Sam rushed into the room, eyes scanning for his brother. When he saw him, Sam crossed the distance and wrapped Dean in a tight hug.
"How is she?" Sam asked.
"I don't know," Dean said quietly. "But it doesn't look good."
"She's strong, Dean."
"I don't think that matters...her body was never meant to house an archangel and she managed to do it for almost a week. She's dying, Sammy."
Sam's eyes filled with tears, but he blinked rapidly to keep them from falling.
Dean's heart ached, seeing his brother look so upset. He would be lying if he said he didn't feel a broken emptiness in his soul--a space you used to occupy. But he needed to push past his own pain for his brother's sake. After all...you weren't his.
"For (Y/N)?" a doctor called into the waiting room.
Dean and Sam practically ran in her direction. Dean's heart clenched in his chest as he took in the doctor's sad expression.
"Are you (Y/N)'s family?"
Both men nodded.
"Come with me, please," the doctor said quietly.
They followed her to a private waiting area and Dean's dread increased significantly. "What's going on?" he asked worriedly.
"Please have a seat," the doctor asked, gesturing toward the chairs against the wall. She closed the door before taking her seat across from them.
"My name's Dr. Murphy. I'm (Y/N)'s treating physician."
"I'm Sam and this is my brother Dean."
"There's no easy way to say this," Dr. Murphy said gently. "(Y/N)'s injuries are quite severe and she's in critical condition."
"But she's going to be okay, right?" Dean asked hopefully.
Dr. Murphy frowned and shook her head. "Her organs have begun to shut down...it's only a matter of time now. The best I can do is try to keep her comfortable."
"No," Dean whispered. "No, she can't--"
Sam placed a hand on Dean's shoulder, trying to comfort his brother.
"I'm very sorry," Dr. Murphy murmured.
Dean suddenly stood up. "I can't do this. I need--I need air."
He practically ran from the room and Sam got up to follow him, but Dr. Murphy placed a gentle hand on his arm. "I think it's best to give him a moment."
Sam nodded as he desperately tried to push his own emotions away. He adored you, but he knew exactly how much Dean loved you...so he knew how much pain his brother was in right now. It hurt him almost as much as losing you.
***********
Once Dean was outside, he ran around to the side of the building, desperate to be alone for a moment. He collapsed onto the ground, back against the hard stone of the hospital exterior. All of the tears he'd been pushing back for days finally poured out.
He found himself falling apart in public--something he couldn't recall doing before. He couldn't bring himself to care. You were dying and it was killing him. It was all his fault. If he hadn't been so careless, he wouldn't have gotten injured and you never would have had to beg Lucifer to save him.
He knew it wasn't a rational way of thinking, but in that moment, it didn't matter. You were about to become just another name on a never ending list of people who died because of him. He couldn't take it--it was too much.
"I know I'm not exactly on good terms with any of you and I probably don't deserve your help, but I'm not asking for myself. (Y/N) is dying and I can't save her. I'm not normally the kind of man to beg, but I'm on my knees right now...begging for just one of you to find it in yourself to give a damn. She doesn't deserve this. She's the best person I've ever known...so please. Please someone answer me. Please..." His voice was broken by the end of his short speech.
He was desperate and there was nothing he wouldn't do to save her. If no angel would help him...he wasn't above making a deal with a demon. He'd been to hell once before, and he'd do it again in a heartbeat if it meant you could live.
"Hello, Dean Winchester," a soft female voice said from beside him.
He jumped up quickly, ready to fight if need be. He hadn't even heard the woman arrive, which meant she likely wasn't human.
"Don't worry," she said gently. "I'm not here to hurt you. My name is Aliraphael."
"Aliraphael?" Dean repeated. "I've never heard of you."
She smiled. "You don't need to know my name to know what I am."
Dean swallowed thickly. "Why did you come?"
"You prayed for help. I answered."
"But why? We don't know you...what would make you wanna help us?"
Aliraphael smiled. "You, your brother, and (Y/N) have sacrificed much for this world and all of the people in it. I think you deserve a miracle."
Normally Dean wouldn't believe her, but there was something in her eyes that made him feel safe. He was inclined to trust her, but he had to be sure. "What do you want in return?"
"Nothing. This is my gift to you."
"Nothing is free."
"I understand why you may be jaded, but sometimes a gift is simply a gift. This is one of those times."
Dean nodded. "I'm choosing to trust you, but just know if you betray me, I will kill you."
She smiled. "I would expect nothing less of the great Dean Winchester."
Dean led Aliraphael into the hospital and his eyes scanned the waiting area for Sam. He wasn't there, so Dean assumed he'd gone to your room.
"Excuse me. Can you tell me what room (Y/N) (Y/L/N) is in?" Dean asked the receptionist.
The woman typed on her computer without looking up and muttered, "Room 212."
"Thanks," Dean replied. He tried to walk slowly--normally--to room 212, but every instinct in his body was screaming for him to get to you as quickly as possible.
When Dean entered the room, he saw Sam standing beside your bed, his hand wrapped tightly around yours. He was speaking softly to you and Dean felt that ache in his chest intensify.
"Sam," Dean said softly.
Sam turned towards the door, eyes red from his tears. He looked between Dean and Aliraphael in confusion. "Who's she?"
"I am Aliraphael," the angel responded. "I am here to heal (Y/N)."
Sam cut Dean a look. "What did you do?"
Dean shrugged. "I prayed. She came."
"Okay, but what did you promise her in exchange?"
"Your brother has promised me nothing. I am doing this because I wish to. I have no ulterior motive."
Sam still looked worried, but he stepped back to allow Aliraphael access to your bed. Aliraphael gently placed her hand against your forehead and closed her eyes. A soft white glow began to envelop your body and your skin began to return to normal.
After several moments, Aliraphael dropped her hand from your head and turned to Sam and Dean. "It is finished."
You started to stir in the bed and Dean's heart beat faster.
"She will awaken in a moment," Aliraphael assured them.
"Thank you," Dean whispered, unable to take his eyes off your face.
Sam echoed his brother's statement and Aliraphael smiled.
"You are all very welcome." With that, the angel disappeared as if she had never been there.
You groaned softly and your eyes slowly opened. You blinked rapidly trying to clear them and focus on the room around you.
"I have to go," Dean muttered.
"What?" Sam asked in surprise, but Dean had already exited the room.
"Sam?" you asked softly, hearing the younger Winchester's voice.
"Hey, (Y/N/N)," he murmured. "I'm here."
Your bright (y/e/c) eyes focused on his face. "What happened?"
"What do you remember?"
You thought about it for a moment and the memories of the past few days came flooding back. "Lucifer..." you whispered.
Sam sighed and nodded. "Yeah."
"I was dying, Sam--I felt it. Why am I not dead?"
"Dean prayed...and some angel we'd never met before came to save you."
Your eyes widened. "Dean...where is he? I need to talk to him."
"He was just here, but when you started to wake up, he bolted."
"Shit," you murmured. "We need to go after him."
You started to sit up and tug at the IV in your arm, but Sam stopped you.
"Woah! Woah! Slow down, (Y/N). You were almost dead not even five minutes ago."
"And now I'm not, so we need to get the hell out of here Sam," you insisted.
Sam sighed. He knew better than to fight you, so he simply helped you remove your IV and untangle you from the web of other tubes and wires. He handed you your clothes and turned around so you could get dressed in privacy.
"Alright, let's go," you said as soon as you were dressed.
*********
When Dean left the hospital, he'd taken the Impala and started the long drive back to Lawrence. He just wanted to get home before you and figure out what his next move was. If you and Sam were going to be together...he didn't want to be there to witness it. He couldn't.
Dean's phone had rang several times, but he hadn't answered. Most of the calls were from you and a few were from Sam, but he couldn't handle hearing your voice right now. Especially if you were going to tell him everything Lucifer had said was true.
"He's still not answering his damn phone," you muttered, throwing the phone onto the dash angrily.
"I just don't get why he'd leave like that," Sam said for the fifth time.
You sighed and ran your fingers through your hair. "Lucifer said some things to him, Sam...things that hurt him deeply. None of it was true, but Dean doesn't know that."
"What kind of things?"
"Things about me...about how I feel. And about you," you admitted quietly.
"(Y/N), just tell me."
"Lucifer told Dean I couldn't stand him and the only reason I hung around was because I'm in love with you."
Sam scoffed. "And Dean believed him?"
"You didn't see his face, Sam...he believed every word. I wanted to tell him the truth, but I couldn't overpower Lucifer."
"Shit," Sam mumbled. "He's a goddamn idiot if he thinks you love me more than him."
You laughed dryly. "Lucifer played on Dean's insecurities and unfortunately, it worked."
Sam sighed. "Where do you think he'd go?"
"I have to hope he went home."
"Then let's get there before he does." Sam sped up, flooring the stolen car like he'd--well, like he'd stolen it.
You were about five hours from Lawrence and Dean had a head start. You knew it was unlikely you'd get there first, but you had to hope you could get there before he left.
**********
When Sam pulled into the Bunker's garage four and a half hours later, you were relieved to see the Impala parked where it should be. Dean would never leave without his beloved car, which meant he was still there.
Both you and Sam practically ran into the Bunker, calling Dean's name.
The green eyed hunter heard your voices, but he ignored both you and Sam. He couldn't face you...he just couldn't.
"Dean? Where are you?" you called again.
"Come on, Dean. We know you're here," Sam said in annoyance.
You headed into the kitchen and Sam went down towards Dean's bedroom. Both of you hoped to find him before he managed to sneak his way out.
Sam entered his brother's room without knocking and sighed in relief. "Dean. There you are."
"Sam," he said curtly.
"Why the hell did you leave? And why didn't you answer our calls?"
"I just needed to get out of there."
"What, before (Y/N) woke up?" Sam's tone made it clear exactly how stupid he thought his brother's actions were.
"Look man, I'm glad she's okay, but I can't face her. I don't want to have that conversation."
Sam decided to play dumb. "What conversation, Dean? The one where she thanks you for saving her life? Or where you yell at her for saying yes to Lucifer in the first place? Cuz trust me, we had that conversation already."
"That's not what I'm talking about, Sam," Dean said quietly as he started to pack his duffle. "But it doesn't matter. I'm leaving."
"Why the hell are you leaving?"
"I can't stay here. I can't--I can't see the two of you together," he whispered.
"Together?" Sam asked incredulously. "What the hell are you talking about?"
"It's fine, Sam. I know."
"There's nothing to know!"
Dean glared at his brother and shook his head. "I saw you at the hospital...you clearly feel the same as she does."
"Yeah I do!" Sam yelled. "She's my friend--she's family!"
Dean was about to snap back another retort, but Sam cut him off.
"Just talk to (Y/N), Dean. Let her explain...you owe her that much."
"I don't want to talk to her."
"I'm not going to give you a choice," you said from the bedroom doorway.
Both men turned to look at you in surprise. You crossed your arms and stood firm.
"I don't want to talk," Dean said quietly.
"Good. I don't want you to talk, Dean. I want you to listen." You turned your gaze to Sam and gestured with your head for him to leave the room.
He gladly exited, not wanting to be a part of this particular conversation.
You closed the door behind him and continued to stand in front of it, afraid Dean would try to leave if you moved.
"Lucifer is a liar, Dean. I shouldn't even have to say that. He's the devil, for crying out loud. He's kinda known for his lies."
"But he's also been honest with us before," Dean countered.
"Only when it benefited him. Just like he lies when it benefits him. Hurting you? Hurting me? That shit brought him joy."
"Really? Did it hurt you to hear him tell me how you really feel about me?"
"No," you said angrily. "It hurt me to hear him lie to you about how I feel! The things he said were cruel and terrible, but more importantly, they weren't true!"
Dean stared at you silently, clearly not believing a word you said.
"Do you really think I'm capable of lying to you for years? Think of every moment we've spent together, Dean...do you really think I pretended to care about you? Pretended to enjoy spending time with you? Think about all the times we've laughed together, the times we've had each other's backs, the small glances, the whispers in the dark when one of us had a nightmare. Think about all of those moments and then look me in the eye and tell me it was all a lie."
Tears filled his beautiful green eyes and you knew the same expression was reflected in your own. You took a step towards him, desperately wanting to touch him, but afraid it be unwelcome.
"You're my favorite person in the world, Dean Winchester. You. Not Sam, not Bobby, not Jodi...you. You hold my whole heart in your hands...you always have. If you don't want it, then I understand, but don't for a second think I love anyone but you."
His lips parted in surprise. "But what about Sam?" he whispered.
You sighed loudly. "Weren't you listening? Sam is my friend, Dean, but nothing more than that. I love him like a brother." You took another step towards him. "He doesn't compare to you--he couldn't compare to you. I love you, Dean...and I don't mean like a brother."
Dean inhaled deeply. "I want to believe you, (Y/N/N)..."
"Then believe me," you begged him. "I love you."
Dean thought about what Lucifer had said and he realized why he'd believed it so easily. They were all things Dean was afraid of...he knew he wasn't good enough for you and he was terrified you knew it too.
"Talk to me, Dean," you whispered, taking a final step towards him.
He looked deep into your eyes and found nothing but love there. The same love he held in his soul for you. "I've always been afraid to tell you how I feel because I know I'm not good enough for you," he admitted. "That's why it was so easy for me to believe Lucifer's lies...it was almost like a self-fulfilling prophecy. I couldn't believe you'd ever want me, so it was easier to believe you wanted Sam. He's better for you in every way."
"Stop," you whispered, pressing a finger to his lips. "I decide who is best for me and I choose you. I will always choose you."
"(Y/N)," he whispered.
You pressed your lips against his, trying to infuse it with all of the love in your soul. Dean's arms wrapped around your thick waist, pulling you closer to him. He deepened the kiss, lips hungrily devouring yours.
You stayed locked in each other's embrace for what felt like an eternity. Your tongues fought for dominance and your hands caressed any part of each other they could reach.
When the kiss inevitably broke so the two of you could breathe, Dean laid his forehead against yours. "This might go without saying, but I love you too, (Y/N). So goddamn much."
You chuckled breathlessly. "After a kiss like that, I'd sure as hell hope so."
He grinned and tugged you even closer to him. His lips pressed against yours again and he found himself wanting to feel every part of your soft body. He needed it, just as much as needed air to breathe.
"Let me show you how much, baby," he whispered against your lips.
"Please," you moaned softly.
“Strip for me, pretty girl,” he commanded.
You gently pushed against his chest, forcing him back against the bed. He dropped down onto the mattress, eyes never leaving your body.
You slowly began to remove your clothing, taking much longer than you needed to. You were teasing him and he was eating it up.
You finally got down to just your bra and panties, nothing fancy as you obviously weren’t planning on this happening, but Dean didn’t seem to care. In fact, you were about to be very glad you didn’t wear anything nice.
“You are so damn beautiful, baby,” he whispered.
You offered him a warm smile, appreciative of the affection in his gaze. He thought you were a goddess among humans, a treasure to behold.
“I think you’re a bit overdressed, Dean,” you teased softly.
“You know, babe, I think you’re right.” He stood up and shed his layers significantly faster than you had. He was extremely impatient, as he was dying to get his hands on you.
You admired his broad chest, thick arms, and sculpted form. He looked incredible, scars and all. You felt the strong urge to kiss every single one of them, if he would allow you.
He now stood before you in nothing but his boxers, his large erection straining against the thin fabric.
“Let’s get this off you,” he muttered, reaching behind your back to unhook your bra.
The moment your breasts were exposed to his gaze, he let out a low groan. “Fuck, baby. These are even better than I’d imagined.”
“You imagined my—“ your question was cut off by the feeling of his lips wrapped around your nipple and his hands caressing your breasts gently.
The gentle movements quickly turned more intense, and he began to truly knead and nip at your flesh. You moaned softly and gently ran your fingers through his soft hair.
You pressed yourself even closer to him, feeling his bulge press against your abdomen. He lifted his head with a small smirk.
“Impatient, are we?”
You nodded quickly.
“Oh come on now, sweetheart. Use those words for me. Tell me what you want.”
“You,” you whimpered. “I want you.”
His smirk widened. “I figured that much out on my own, darlin'. I want you to tell me what you need.”
You weren’t exactly accustomed to expressing yourself verbally in the bedroom. To be honest, a lot of your past experiences weren’t that great anyway. A lot of one night stands with men who only cared about their own pleasure.
You found yourself feeling kind of excited at the prospect of a man listening to you and what you wanted…even more so because that man was Dean.
“I want you on your knees, handsome,” you said firmly.
Dean’s eyes widened slightly, but he dropped to his knees obediently. His normally bright green eyes were dark with lust as he locked eyes with you.
You loved the powerful feeling you had as you stood over him. The great Dean Winchester, on his knees for you.
You touched his face sweetly and he leaned into your palm, eyes fluttering closed for a moment. “Do you wanna eat my pussy, Dean?” you whispered.
His eyes shot back open, a hungry expression on his face. “Yes,” he breathed lowly.
“Then get to work,” you commanded softly.
Dean was used to being in charge in the bedroom and it wasn’t often he found himself submitting to a woman. You were different than any woman he’d ever been with before—after all, he loved you. If you told him to do a damn handstand naked, lick your feet, and call you “your majesty”, he would have done it in a heartbeat.
His calloused hands slowly slid up your thighs, squeezing the supple flesh. His mouth followed, leaving sloppy kisses as he worked his way closer to your core.
“Baby?” he asked softly, glancing up at you.
“Hmm?”
“Do you have any particular attachment to these panties?”
“No, why—Dean!” you gasped as he ripped your underwear in half, tossing the remains to the floor.
He grinned and made a happy little noise deep in his throat before kissing your mound. He grabbed your right leg and tugged it up over his shoulder, giving him better access to you.
“Lean on me for support, beautiful. I got you.”
The moment you laid a hand on his shoulder and he was sure you were stable, he dove into your pussy with a deep growl.
Your head fell back in ecstasy and a series of moans left your lips. The hand not holding onto his shoulder immediately wound itself in his hair, holding on for dear life.
“Dean—feels so good,” you moaned.
His hands dug into your ass cheeks in response, tugging you even closer to him. He never wanted to stop—hearing those sweet sounds you made mixed with the heady taste of your sweetness was more intoxicating than any drink he’d ever had.
Your legs had begun to tremble and Dean’s grip on you tightened. He wasn’t willing to stop his ministrations, but he wouldn’t let you fall either.
Your nails scraped against his scalp and his shoulder as you clung to him. The pleasure was almost too much and not enough all at once, and you felt your orgasm approaching.
“Dean,” you gasped. “I’m so close.”
He smiled against your core and shifted his focus more heavily to your clit. You cried out and cursed softly, and he knew he’d made the right move.
“I—oh god,” you cried as your orgasm washed over you.
Dean lapped up everything you had to offer, his grip on your body never loosening. As you began to come down from your high, he slipped his hands up to your hips to ensure he didn’t drop you.
He gave your pussy one last lick before allowing you to pull him up by his hair. To his surprise, you mashed your lips against his hungrily, not giving a damn that he tasted like you.
One hand tangled into your hair and the other held you tightly. “What do you want me to do now, sweetheart?” He murmured against your skin.
“Take control, Dean,” you begged. “Make my legs shake. Make me scream. I don’t wanna be able to move for hours.”
“Holy fuck,” he groaned. “Who taught you to talk like that, baby?”
You smirked. “It comes naturally with you.”
"Well it's the sexiest thing I've ever heard," he murmured.
His strong arms wrapped around your waist and gripped you tightly. He spun you both around so your back was to the bed. He pulled you up into his arms and tossed you onto the bed.
You gasped in surprise, not used to being manhandled in such a manner. You sat up slightly, resting on your elbows as you looked at the gorgeous man in front of you. You curled one finger and beckoned him towards you with a smirk.
He quickly discarded his boxers and dropped onto the bed, crawling slowly up your body. He dropped kisses onto your skin as he moved, leaving goosebumps in his wake.
When he reached your mouth, you reached up and grabbed the hair at the base of his neck, tugging him down to you. Your kiss was hungry and needy, leaving no question as to what you wanted.
As the kiss deepened, Dean shifted his body to touch your soft curves. In doing so, the tip of his cock brushed against your pussy, eliciting soft moans from both of you.
Dean's hands traced softly up and down your sides, relishing the feeling of your skin against his. "I love touching you," he murmured in your ear. "You're so damn soft."
You smiled and turned your head to nip at his jaw. He groaned and turned his attention back to your soft lips, sucking the bottom one between his teeth and biting down gently.
Much like Dean, you loved touching his body, but you reveled in the firmness of his body beneath your hands. Every time he moved, you could feel his muscles tense and shift. His body was powerful and beautiful--a vessel carrying the most incredible soul you'd ever known.
Dean shifted again, nudging your head to the side so he could suck at your neck, leaving love marks on the sensitive skin. You lifted your hips up slightly, seeking some kind of friction to relieve the ache between your legs. Once again, his cock brushed against your core and you gasped lightly. Dean, on the other hand, bit gently into your neck to suppress a loud moan.
"I can't wait any longer, baby," he groaned.
"Take me. I'm yours," you whispered.
He sighed softly, kissing you sweetly before pulling away. "Roll over for me, sweetness. Hands and knees."
Your eyes widened in surprise, but you rolled over immediately. You lowered your upper body to lay flat against the mattress, ass high in the air.
"Holy shit," Dean murmured as his hands grasped your large, round ass. "Who said you could have an ass this incredible? I can't wait to watch it jiggle while I fuck you senseless."
Before you could respond, he smacked your ass with an open palm, causing you to gasp slightly.
He seemed to realize belatedly that he should have asked if you were okay with that before doing it, but he'd be lying if he said he hadn't imagined smacking your ass for years. "Is that okay, baby?"
"More, please," you begged softly.
He smacked your ass again with a grin. "You like that?"
"Harder, Dean," you moaned. "Like you mean it."
"Fuck," he groaned, hand coming down against your cheek again.
Each time you moaned loudly, reaffirming your enjoyment of the action. Your pussy clenched around nothing and you were beyond desperate for him to just fuck you already.
"Dean, I need you--please," you cried desperately.
"Where do you need me, baby?"
"Inside me," you whimpered.
Without warning, you felt one of Dean's thick fingers enter your pussy. "Like this?"
You shook your head rapidly.
"Words, babe," he said firmly.
"I want your cock, Dean."
"Yeah? Tell me where."
You turned your head to look at him as best as you could from your current position. "I want you to fuck my pussy with your big, thick cock...please," you pleaded softly.
Dean blinked rapidly and licked his lips. He pulled his finger out from inside of you and sucked your juices from it. "Yes ma'am," he murmured.
He leaned forward and kissed your cheek where he'd left a red mark from his slaps. You turned your head back around, forehead against the mattress, preparing yourself for what would come next.
Dean gripped his cock tightly, stroking it a few times before lining himself up with your entrance. He started to enter you and you gasped at the stretch. It was painful given his larger than average size.
"I've got you, baby," he whispered, running his hands up and down your back in a soothing manner. "Just relax for me."
You took a deep breath and tried to relax your body as much as you could. When he felt the tension leave you, he continued to push forward.
You'd never felt so full before and the pain had begun to subside into pleasure. "You're so big," you mumbled.
Dean smirked and chuckled softly. "I'm not all the way in yet, sweetheart."
"What?!" you gasped in surprise.
He pushed the rest of the way in, bottoming out so deep inside you, you swore you could feel him against your cervix. "Fuck!" you yelped.
Dean continued his soothing hand motions on your hips as he allowed you the time you needed to adjust to his size.
While you appreciated his gentleness, you desperately needed him to fuck you. Instead of telling him what you wanted, you moved your hips forward slightly before slamming back against him so your ass pressed firmly against his lower abdomen.
Dean's blunt nails dug into your hips and he growled lowly. "Fuck, baby."
His hips snapped forward and he held you in place by your hips. He set a brutal pace, unable to move slowly--it felt way too damn good.
Dean was completely mesmerized by your ass, watching it jiggle as he fucked into you forcefully. He slapped the opposite cheek from the one he'd hit earlier and you cried out in pleasure, pussy clenching around him.
"You feel so fuckin' good, sweetness," he moaned. "Tightest pussy I've ever had."
You couldn't formulate a good response to his words as you were already too far gone. His cock slammed into your g-spot with each thrust, making your legs shake and your head fog up.
"Made for me, weren't you baby?"
"Mhmm," you hummed.
Dean smiled, knowing you were overwhelmed with pleasure and unable to respond properly. He leaned forward and grabbed a handful of your hair at the base of your neck. He tugged back slightly--just enough to cause a little pain without truly hurting you.
His thrusts were almost violent, they were so fast and hard. He wanted to feel you come apart on his cock and he knew you were close.
"You gonna cum for me, baby?" he whispered.
You simply whined desperately.
"What do you need, sweetheart? Tell me what you need."
"More," you begged.
"Hmm," Dean hummed. He slipped an arm around your waist and tugged you back against him so you were sitting up as he continued to thrust into you.
One hand slid up to your neck, wrapping around your throat and applying just a tiny bit of pressure to gauge your reaction. His other hand moved slowly towards your core, seeking your clit for added stimulation.
"Dean!" you cried.
He bit into your shoulder. "I'm here, baby. I want you to fall apart for me."
He rubbed at your clit quickly, thrusts slower due to the new position, but nevertheless pleasurable.
You needed just a little more to push yourself over the edge, so you gripped his hand around your neck and put more pressure on it, indicating what you needed.
Dean got the hint and tightened his grip on your throat, just enough to push you over the edge. He didn't want to hurt you--he would never hurt you.
"Cum for me, sweet girl," he murmured in your ear.
You cried out as your second orgasm crashed against you and your pussy tightened almost painfully around Dean's cock. He helped you ride out your high before lowering you back to the bed and rolling you over onto your back.
He was immediately on top of you, thrusting into you more slowly. He put one arm on either side of your head to support himself, effectively trapping you beneath him.
He rolled his hips against you, the motion pressing his pelvis against your clit, causing you to whimper in pained pleasure. Your hands found purchase in his upper back, nails digging in as he repeated the action.
"I love your body, baby," he whispered. "So fucking perfect."
You smiled up at him, pulling him down for a heated kiss. "I like it too," you mumbled. "Yours isn't bad either."
He chuckled lightly, kissing you lovingly. "I wanna see you come apart for me, (Y/N). Can you give me one more?"
Your eyes widened. "I don't think I can..."
"I bet you can, sweetness." He grabbed your hips and pulled your legs up so your legs were wrapped around his waist. He began to thrust in earnest again and your head fell back, a moan escaping your lips.
Dean closed his eyes, focusing on pulling at least one more orgasm from you and keeping his own at bay. The way you were squeezing him made it a hell of a lot harder than he would like.
The harder his thrusts, the tighter you seemed to grip him, and the deeper your nails dug into his back. He knew he was going to have some serious gashes on his back, but he intended to wear them with pride.
"Come apart for me, baby. Let me feel you soak my cock," he begged.
"Dean," you groaned.
"Come on, my love--let go."
Your eyes fluttered closed and your body began to shake as waves of pleasure threatened to overwhelm you. You came for the third time that night, cries of pleasure mixing with Dean's moans of encouragement.
You started to come down from your high, body overly sensitive from the onslaught of pleasure that continued. "Dean, too much!" you gasped.
"Just one more," he begged.
"I can't!" you whimpered.
"Please baby--one more. Need it," he continued to beg.
You didn't think it was possible for you to cum again, but you began to feel a new sensation in your abdomen. It felt similar to the familiar tightening coil that signified an oncoming orgasm, but it was infinitely more intense. You weren't even sure if it was pleasure or pain--the feeling was simply too overwhelming to comprehend.
"Dean--I can't--" you gasped in confusion.
His hand slid between your bodies to gently massage your clit and you suddenly couldn't breathe. You began to writhe beneath him, hands gripping at the sheets to try and ground yourself.
Dean knew you were about to come undone again, so he didn't slow any of his motions. "Look at me, baby."
Your eyes met his for no more than a moment before your vision became blurry. You screamed his name as you came for a fourth and final time. The feeling was so incredible, you couldn't even begin to describe it.
Your vision began to return to normal as you desperately tried to catch your breath. You were practically limp beneath him as Dean began to chase his own orgasm.
He tucked his head into the crook of your neck and murmured soft words of praise against your skin. "Feels so good--squeezing me perfectly."
He kissed your neck as his thrusts became more erratic. "I'm gonna fill up this pretty little pussy, sweetness. Gonna cum for you."
You managed to press a kiss into his shoulder and wrap your arms around him, hands clutching his back. "Fill me up, Dean," you whispered encouragingly.
Dean groaned lowly. "This pussy is mine, baby. You hear me? Mine."
"Yours, Dean. Only yours."
"Oh--fuck--" he groaned. "(Y/N)!"
His hips began to stutter, thrusts faltering as he filled you up with his seed. He whispered your name like a prayer as his movements began to slow to a halt. You clung to him tightly as he came down from his high.
He finally collapsed on top of you, completely spent and breathless.
You rubbed his back soothingly, lips pressing gentle kisses to his shoulder and neck. As the two of you laid there quietly, you began to notice the bedding beneath you was particularly wet--more so than you had expected it to be.
"I love you so much," Dean whispered, lips pressed softly against your jaw.
"I love you too, baby," you said sweetly.
Dean began to lift himself up, each movement making you gasp--body too overstimulated to handle any motion.
"Sorry, sweetheart," he murmured softly.
"I'm not complaining," you assured him.
He grinned slightly as he pulled himself up completely, softened member sliding out of your excessively wet pussy.
He looked down at the bed and his grin widened. "We made quite the mess, baby."
"Yeah, it feels a little...wetter than normal."
He chuckled softly. "That's probably because you squirted, (Y/N/N)."
You gasped, cheeks reddening in embarrassment. You realized that must have been the result of the most intense orgasm of your life. "I did?!"
Dean noticed your discomfort and immediately reassured you. "Yeah, sweetness--and it was the sexiest fucking thing I've ever seen."
You bit your lip and looked up at him. "Really?"
He grinned. "Really."
"I've--uh--well...I've never squirted before," you admitted.
His chest puffed up with pride. "I'm honored to have been the first--and the last." He added a wink for emphasis.
You smiled softly. "Maybe don't make it a regular thing...I literally can't move."
Dean laughed. "Don't worry, babe. I'll take care of you."
You watched the handsome man cross the room and go into the bathroom, emerging several minutes later with two washcloths. He gently picked you up, moving you to the other side of the bed where it was dry. From there, he very gently began to clean you up with the warm washcloths.
You were moved by the loving way he took care of you, making sure you were clean and comfortable before leaving the room in search of another set of sheets.
When he returned, you found you still couldn't move, but Dean didn't seem to mind. "I can change the sheets with you in them, (Y/N)."
"But--"
"Hush," he insisted as he pressed a kiss to your lips.
He made quick work of removing the sheets on the other half of the bed and putting the clean sheets on that side. He then scooped you up again and moved you to the clean, crisp sheets. He removed the rest of the soiled sheets and finished making the bed.
As soon as he was finished, he crawled into the bed beside you. He reached out to grab your soft body and tugged you against his warm chest.
You nuzzled into him and sighed softly. "I could get used to this."
He smiled and kissed the top of your head. "I'll always take care of you, baby...so you might as well get used to it. I'm not going anywhere."
You smiled and pressed a soft kiss onto his chest. "I love you, Dean."
Dean tightened his grip on you and smiled. "I love you more, (Y/N/N). Always."

More often than not yes, I depend on them for work. Only one I know In Illinois is @Dean SPN
Ruby
As long as you keep your phone number for your cell, you still show up with that area code no matter where you go.
Gabe
Right I run into that too but 80-85% of the time it’s spot on
Sam
Hello? This is Sam, who's this?

Gabe
He’s a dead alpaca who only speaks in hieroglyphics in purgatory

Charlie

Dean

Ruby
God giveth and God taketh away
Dean

Becky
Oh yeah
Sam
🤫
Ruby
Must have checked out the box under Dean's bed
Dean
Nope she’s definitely not in there
Gabe
How do you know what’s under Dean’s bed? You guys have a weird Devil’s Triangle going on

Dean

Gabe
watches her just get spin in circles with no dean in the bunker
Becky
I'm soo tying you up later. Have to go and meet my dealer first
Sam
Maybe she's a PETA member
Gabe
Now that’s my kinda new friend
Sam
She did date God..
Gabe
She already turned down the alpaca Don Juan
Dean

Dean
She was happier with you. Hence why she’s here
Sam
What can I say
Becky
He don't have those arms and muscles like you Sam
Gabe
Apparently “I do”
Dean
You’re married lmao
Gabe
So he’s cheating with Ruby or on her? Maybe they have an open “not shipping”
Dean
Apparently
Sam
Just a word Dean. Not a relationship
Dean
Oh but it is. Well should be
Gabe
I don’t think you understand how marriage works 😆
Dean
Gabe so you and Donna it’s just a word not a relationship??
Gabe
Oh no not a relationship at all. Hey Charlie?
Sam
Pretty sure that's true, and I'm okay with that
Charlie
Yes??
Gabe
Hi
Charlie
Working too 😂
Gabe
Curious you and your hubby don’t have a relationship right? This is for science
Sam
Saved by the Charlie 😄
Ruby
🤣🤣
Sam
Can I get that on a tshirt?
Charlie
Sometimes we do…. Most of the time I’m alone 😂
Gabe
There’s a whole song
Dean
Ask Becky
Gabe
Perfect marriage!
Sam
There you go
Dean
So you're saying that’s what she said
Ruby
Why would you doubt him Dean?
Gabe
Sammy needs women to control his life
Dean
I think you missed what I was doing there Lol Apparently
Ruby
No, I think you missed what I was doing there
Sam
Sammy can control his own life just fine, thanks for the concern though
Dean
I wasn’t questioning him though
Gabe
looks at Becky and Ruby yeah I seeeee that
Charlie
watches Becky start to make mini figures of Sam and Dean
Gabe
Can’t even control your morning
Dean
She doesn’t want the alpaca in purgatory only Sam
Sam: Voodoo dolls?
Charlie
No but she makes minis and sells them on Etsy…. Duh 😂
Gabe
Now you’re just GIVING her ideas
Dean SPN: Oh right I forgot about that
Sam
Most mornings in this Bunker go south quickly, haven't you noticed points at Henry the frog and Dean the dead alpaca
Dean
thinking Sammy needs a tshirt with his Becky Ruby Sam love triangle on it. in purgatory cant point to me
Gabe
Henry and you are back to normal , Dean added a month to his sentence
Sam
Oh right the little funk pops type ones. I liked those
Gabe
They are bonnnnnnnding Charlie it’s adorable
Sam
Awesome
Dean
Why I didn’t do anything but prove what Sammy was lying about
Gabe
Can’t see any hieroglyphics
Dean
That’s cute
Gabe
can just picture thousands of these hanging from your ceiling
Ruby
Hey Charlie! Becky crochets too!
Dean
She’s aware she stated that factor when she said she sells them on Esty
Charlie
is scared of Becky, if she wasn’t crazy we’d be friends
Ruby
I know an exorcism!
Dean
She’s not a demon so it won’t do anything
Sam
How come you're considered crazy if you have a crush on me? Kind of a low bar
Gabe
It’s still a huge step up over Dean
Dean
Hey
Charlie
It’s more the obsessive behavior 😂
Gabe
Plus it’s not the crush it’s the drugging and kidnapping, tying to a bed. Like when your brother watches and takes pictures of your sex life
Sam
We all have challenges
Dean
Ruby does that too I think
Sam
Yeah... over board
Ruby
🤣🤣
Gabe
It’s her sex life too
Charlie
True
Dean
I didn’t take the pictures he posted them
Gabe
You should see the videos char has on porn hub, but they are hers
Dean
Well when things are made public.....
Ruby
Why'd you put them in an album Dean?
Dean
What? I didn’t
Gabe
Next to his Cass lotion
Sam
🤣🤣🤣
Dean
It’s called forwarding
Gabe
It’s called creepy. That’s your brother
Sam
You didn't even "forward" the Best one
Dean
Might not have that was gone for awhile
Gabe
That one’s in the “special Dean” folder
Sam
I'll show you later winks
Dean
Not if I dont have it because I wasn’t there
Gabe
And it gets creepier. On that note vanishes
Dean
Hey come back
Sam
We ran him off
Dean
I saw the other comment... Might wanna be careful with that
Sam
Be Careful with what? What did I miss
Ruby
What was incorrect about 'Such is the life of a dead alpaca"?
Dean
Didn’t say anything was incorrect just watch the insults I can share what Sam just sent me
Ruby
Go for it
((hot Nebraska picture))
Dean
Not much he likes to keep private apparently
Ruby
One of my favs!
Becky
twirling Sam’s hair and caressing his arms
Dean
Hmm but "not shipping" may as well be
Sam
pats him on the shoulder just think, that could be you and Becky
Dean
Nope Becky’s only into you, dork
Becky
Not a dork. He's a smart fine tuneD beautiful machine of a man.
Dean
Still a dork
Sam
True, but not the point
Dean
Just take her already geez she’s married to you and obsessed with you. Take her and go have your love fest with Ruby
Becky
I'm not sharing Sam
Dean
Ruby might object otherwise
Sam
Not "love festing" as you call it... and Becky's mistake was annulled remember
Dean
Not according to Gabe. According to Gabe you’re married again
Becky
Yes we are!! Woot woot
Dean
Can’t tell Gabe no. Gabe made it so
Sam
Than pin the paper on the wall so you can enjoy it. Still takes two Dean
Dean
Can’t tell Gabe he can’t make it happen though. Which he did. puts in a frame and nails it to the wall for all to see
Sam
Didn't say he couldn't. He can make me married to Becky or the entire Mormon Tabernacle Choir... doesn't mean I'll buy in
Charlie
Sam you’re killing me
Dean
Doesn’t make it any less so just cuz you dont buy in 🤣🤣
Sam
Okay, great. I'm a married man I guess...good deal. Anyone want an early lunch? I'm thinking hamburgers
Ruby
Only if I can get fries
Dean
Becky can provide the shake busts up laughing
Sam
🤣dude, you're so weird
Dean
singing Sam’s milkshake brings all the girls to the yard
Ruby
🥳🥳🥳🥳
Sam
Might need a bigger yard
Gabe
You mean Mrs. Winchester?
Sam
Apparently...I guess what happens in Vegas doesn't actually STAY in Vegas, who knew
Gabe
HOLIDAY WEEKEND NO ANNULMENTS OR DIVORCES AVAILABL. Sammy maneuver
Sam
Not this weekend
Becky
Nope. He's mine forever!!
Gabe
Forever is a long time try a weekend first
Sam
wonders if therapy would help the poor girl
Gabe
Then Ruby should go too. One is your wife Sammy the other is banging a married man
Becky
door closes behind her. gives Sam his drink. thinking to herself this little spell will make him mine and fall in love with me. Here Sam we only have a weekend. Let's make it count.
Sam
She's a demon Gabe, doubt she cares what it's called
Gabe
But YOU should, you’re supposed to be the moral one. appears behind you giving you all the knowledge you need about devils traps demon blades and killing demons. vanishing I love chaos
Sam
pours it into a nearby plant Thanks, not thirsty. I think I am, mostly. That's why it would be wrong to take advantage of the poor girl's delusions
Gabe
It’s not dilutions she married you and you said I do
Sam
With a love spell, and now I'm saying I don't. But still don't want anything bad to happen to her. She seems sweet
Gabe
Sammy shirking responsibility because he wants to bang a demon , I thought you better than that vanishing
Sam
Thinks once you go demon you never go back
Gabe
sad to know that going forward I have to think of Dean as the moral one
Charlie
is an honorary Winchester so will be the moral one (My wiki says I’m their sister 😂)
Sam
proudly claims you. In a sisterly way!!!!!
Dean
Already claimed you duh
Charlie
Ok so I’m the moral one 😂 That’s a scary thought isn’t it??
Gabe
Yeah you don’t need another in your terrible trifecta
Dean
🤣🤣🤣 I have morals.... sometimes
Gabe
still doesn’t see hieroglyphics

Firefighter
Based on this request from @igotmadskills Hello! I was wondering if I could request a cute Supernatural fic where Dean is a firefighter and saves the reader and maybe he checks up on them and they get to know each other and fall in love? I need some fluff in my life lol!
Here you are, lovely! I do not own Dean. He belongs to the writers/creators of SPN.
Warnings: AU, fire, fluff
Pairings: Dean Winchester x reader
The fire had broken out so suddenly, there was nothing you could do but stay low to the ground and wait for the fire department to show up. Your business was literally going up in smoke, but all you could think about was getting your employees out safely. While it was a horrible incident, you couldn't be entirely upset after a bit. After all, if not for the fire, you never would have met Dean.
Dean had been the one to pull you from the fire, covered in ash and smelling like smoke. He made sure you got to the ambulance to get checked out before returning to help put out the blazing fire that had been your building. You were so thankful for insurance. That would help replace almost everything. But you would have to figure out to pay your employees while they weren't working. It wasn't their fault and they needed to make a living too.
After the fire was out, you stood next to the ambulance with the shock blanket wrapped around you. "Hey, you okay?" You looked over to see one of the most handsome men you'd ever seen in your life. He had short hair that didn't get in the way of the freckles dotted across his cheeks and nose. His eyes were the kind of green you thought only existed in fanfiction. In any other situation, you could have easily swooned over him.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Medics say we should all be okay." He smiled and offered his now glove free hand. "Dean." You gave him your name then sighed. "I should go talk to my people. They'll want to know what's going on." He nodded. "Sure. Listen, I always ask if I can check up on people after something like this. Would you be okay if I do that?" You were confused, but agreed. Dean smiled. "Okay." When he left, you were certain you'd never see him again.
Yet, three weeks later, as you were standing outside your business once again, there he was. "Hey, Y/N. How ya doing?" You practically jumped at the sound of his voice. "Oh, good. Just checking on the rebuilding and remodeling. It's taking longer than I hoped, but it can't be helped. Anyway, I never got the chance to thank you. For saving me."
"It's kind of my job," he said with a grin. You laughed a little at that. Dean glanced over at the building. "How much longer?" You shrugged. "They said it depends on how badly the incoming storm hits. Could be up to another month before everything's finished." Before Dean could say anything else, your stomach let out a growl. You felt your skin heat with embarrassment.
"Sorry, I've been so busy I forgot lunch." Dean looked at you for a moment, seemingly thinking. Then, he nodded to himself and asked, "Would you like to have lunch with me? I could bring you right back here when we're done." You bit your lip. "I don't know. I don't really randomly go to lunch with guys I don't know." Dean gave you another dazzling smile and held up his hands. "Choice is yours." After contemplating for a moment and listening to your gut instinct, you decided there wouldn't be any harm. You didn't get any weird vibes from the guy. "Okay, yeah. Sure."
Dean was a perfect gentleman during lunch. He asked you about yourself and answered your questions as best he could. Being a first responder, there were some things he didn't want to talk about and you understood that. It couldn't have been easy in a career like his. "So, do you often take strangers out for lunch?" Dean flushed a bit as he smiled. "Nope. This is a first for me. I just like helping people, I guess."
After your lunch, Dean brought you back to your building, as he'd promised and left. But not without exchanging numbers first. If nothing else, you at least got a new friend out of a horrible situation. That made you a little bit happier about how things were going. You only hoped that the renovations to your business would finish on time.
It was two days later that you texted Dean for the first time. Just to thank him. Somehow, you ended the conversation with a date to dinner the next evening. The dinner was just as nice as lunch had been and it began a series of little friendly outings. You weren't sure when it happened, but after a while, those dates started becoming a little less friendly and a little more intimate.
You hadn't even realized what was happening until one evening when Dean was walking with you to a nearby diner for a milkshake. As you walked, you felt Dean's hand slip into yours, threading your fingers together. You glanced at him and he smiled sheepishly. "Is this okay?" You looked down at your hands then back up to his face. You thought for a minute before nodding. Dean's smile grew as you felt your face heat up.
Dean and you started going on more dates or sometimes even just cuddling together on the couch watching movies. Those were your favorites. Those moments when it was just you and Dean without no outside distractions. The part you loved the best was when Dean would wrap an arm around you and pull you close before pressing a kiss to your forehead. He made you feel special. He made you feel desired. He made you feel loved.
After that, you began to understand what people meant when they said love comes slowly and then all at once. You had been slowly falling for him more and more every day and then, once you realized it, it came crashing down on you like a wave. You thought and maybe hoped he felt the same way. Then, one day, he surprised you by showing up at your grand reopening.
"Dean! You're here!" He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes. "D? You okay?" He licked his lips. "Can we talk? Alone? Just for a minute. I wouldn't want to keep you from your celebration." Your brows drew together, but you nodded and let him lead you away from the ruckus.
Once alone, Dean turned back to you. "I'm a terrible boyfriend," he said suddenly, causing you to jump a bit. Before you could ask what he meant, he continued, "I work long hours. Insane ones. I never know if I'm gonna make it home. I have a bad temper. I drink too much sometimes. I play my music too loud." You stayed silent as you wondered where he was going with this. You tried not to let your mind go to the negative.
"Even with all that, I have to tell you…I think I love you, Y/N. Even if you don't want me, you needed to know." You blinked at him in surprise. He stared back at you waiting for you to say something. "Y-You couldn't lead with that?!" you cried after a minute, "I thought you were trying to break things off!" Dean chuckled and shook his head. "Leave you? They'd have to drag me away." You rolled your eyes and took a step closer to him. "I think I might love you too, Dean." Dean wrapped his arms around you.
"Yeah?" You laughed. "Yeah. Now, are you gonna kiss me or not?" Dean leaned in a bit. "I'm definitely gonna kiss you." Just before his lips touched yours, his radio went off. Groaning, he pulled away from you to listen. "I gotta go, sweetheart, but we'll continue this later." You smiled. "Go save the world." With a quick peck to your lips, he was off to work, leaving you standing there grinning like an idiot.
(a/n: I hope you liked it!)

Platonic! Sam x Reader x Dean
Word Count: 2.5k
Trigger Warnings: None? Violence that's pretty typical for Supernatural
Summary: Sam and Dean found out they have a sister. They're very skeptical at first but upon meeting they find out that despite 2 totally different upbringings they have more in common than they expected.
*Disclaimer* I wouldn't normally describe y/n in fics but in this one I did so purposefully to show the similarities between the siblings. I've been told some people are a bit touchy on that.
Oh also this is the first fanfic I've ever written so I'd be happy with constructive criticism.
'This is John Winchester. I can't be reached. If this is an emergency, call my son Dean 866-907-3235. He can help.'
'Shit' Y/N thought to herself as she was put through to her dad's voicemail. 'Wait....it said call his son....does that mean...? Wait do I have a brother he never told me about!?' Grabbing a pen and a pad of sticky notes she called again, this time hoping for voicemail so she could write that number down.
'This is John Winchester. I can't be reached. If this is an emergency, call my son Dean 866-907-3235. He can help.'
She got his voicemail again, quickly scribbling down the number before hanging up and dialing it.
~
Sam and Dean were just finishing up a ghoul case in Indiana when Dean's phone began ringing in the glove compartment of the Impala. Reaching over from the driver's side Dean quickly found his phone, glancing at the caller ID "Unknown Number?" He questioned out loud. He assumed it was a scam caller, but answered it anyway just in case "Hello?"
"Is this Dean?" A female voice asked, sounding mostly nervous, but also just a teensy bit excited.
"Who's this?" Dean questioned skeptically, causing Sam to look over curiously from the passengers side
"I'm Y/N. I umm....this is gonna sound crazy but I'm your sister." She felt weird saying that. Until 5 minutes ago she was an only child. "I tried calling dad but it went straight to voicemail and said to call you if it was an emergency...I kind of need help.."
Shocked with the idea of possibly having a sister Dean pulled the car over to a screeching halt, putting the hazard lights on. He needed a minute to take that in. He put the phone on speaker so Sam could hear what was being said "No that's impossible. Dad already had one kid we didn't know about. No way he had a second." Dean said, obviously in denial.
"He what?" Y/N asked, a grin spreading across her face. Regardless of the circumstances that prompted this call, she was elated to find out she had more than one sibling
Realizing what he had just said, Dean shook his head "Nevermind. Where are you?" He asked as Sam began to flip through John's journal, looking for any hint that there might've been another Winchester out there. It didn't take long for him to find the missing pages not even halfway through the book. It would seem she was born long before Adam.
"I'm in the Poconos, in Pennsylvania." Y/N responded
"Okay well we're about 10 hours from there. We'll be there in the morning." Dean told her "Text me the address." The phone call ended and Y/N texted him the address. They weren't sure what the emergency was that she had to call their dad for but regardless of whether or not it was their kind of thing, Sam and Dean were definitely gonna haul ass to go meet this mystery woman.
~
The next day Sam and Dean found themselves in Northeast Pennsylvania before noon hit. When they finally reached their destination they realized that this woman had grown up so differently from them. She lived in one of those fancy gated communities. Well THEY considered it fancy. Y/N was used to it, but then again the bar wasn’t too high with the childhood Sam and Dean had. The houses were big, the yards green, you needed a pass from security to get in, the only thing missing were picket fences.
"Are we sure we aren't walking into a trap?" Sam asked Dean as they stood on the big white porch, ringing the doorbell. "Well if we are, we're certainly prepared." Dean had grabbed holy water and had his gun tucked into the back of his jeans. Sam, a little silver and the Demon killing knife. It wouldn't protect from /everything/ but it'd save them from most of their most common threats.
When Y/N opened the door you could definitely see the family resemblance between her and Sam. She was tall for a woman, standing around 5'10, had light brown, shoulder length hair. Her eyes though, those were a beautiful shade of green like Dean's. It was almost like looking in a mirror for the boys "Hey." She greeted, letting them in
"Which one of you did I speak to on the phone?" She questioned
"That would be me." Dean replied, raising his hand a bit "This is my brother Sam." Sam was still trying to get over the fact that it looked someone took him and hit copy/paste.
"Wow. Dad really got around didn't he?" She commented without thinking. "4 kids, good for him." Just like Adam whom Dean had very briefly mentioned the day before, John Winchester while still her father, wasn't in the picture that often. Sure he seemed like a cool guy the few times a year he would visit but they never really had a proper Father/Daughter connection. She did care about him, but at the end of the end of the day he was just a person she knew she could trust, hence she didn't think twice about making comments like that until she noticed the look on her brothers' faces when she said it. "Sorry, I want thinking when I said that." She quickly apologized, wanting to move on.
Upon entering, the whole house smelled like Palo Santo wood. She found the scent very calming. "Anyways it's a hell of a drive from Indiana. You hungry? I made pie." She offered.
Dean's face lit up at that "What kind?" He asked with a small grin
"Blueberry. It's my mom's recipe." Y/N replied as she motioned for them to sit at the kitchen table. While she took out a knife to serve the pie, Sam had swapped out her utensils for ones they knew were silver.
"So what was so important you felt the need to call us up here?" Sam asked. Y/N could already tell she liked Sam. He gave off good vibes.
Y/N stayed silent for a moment before telling them "My cousin was found dead the other night. He had his throat ripped out. Cops say it was a Mountain Lion but it sounded like something that might interest Dad. Where is he by the way? I tried calling him a few more times and it just kept going straight to voicemail. Doesn't even ring."
Sam and Dean both looked a bit sad as they had to break the news that their father had passed away and had been dead for quite some time now. Upon hearing that, Y/N didn't really react. She wasn't sure how to. Of course she should've felt something because it was her father, but at the same time, as mentioned previously, he wasn't around a lot. He was absent for most of her life just like he was for Sam and Dean's. Sure he was there for the big stuff like birthdays, her high school graduation, or prom night where he let her drive up in the impala, but it was the small stuff she wanted him there for.
"So you know about the whole 'fighting monsters' thing then?" Dean asked as he splashed a small amount of holy water on her leg under the table. Sam kicked him under the table for even mentioning it. What was he thinking!? She didn't even notice the holy water but the question caused Y/N to look at him weird.
"What the hell are you talking about? Mom always said he was a fed." This almost forced Sam to hold in a chuckle.
~
Despite looks from Sam telling him it was a bad idea to tell her what they really do and that it was probably a vampire that killed her cousin, Dean told her anyway. They already made the mistake of not being totally upfront with Adam. Dean wasn’t making that mistake again "Yeah, okay." She chuckled dryly "You fight monsters. Sure you do." Like any sane person, she thought they were bullshitting. "Next you're gonna tell me you've found bigfoot out something." She said sarcastically
"Actually Bigfoot's one of the few things that isn't real." Dean told her with a smirk
"Tell ya what, you fight monsters?" She motioned towards her two brothers "Prove it. Show me these monsters. Let's go find the 'Vampire' " she said with finger quotations "that killed my cousin."
"Oh no no no." Sam finally spoke up "I was against telling you about what we do to begin with, but I'm drawing the line at having you go out on a hunt. You could really hurt. Or worse, killed."
"What is this, some bullshit male chivalry thing? Do you think women can't do the job?" She questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"No, no that has nothing to do with it." Sam quickly back tracked "It's just that you only found out today that monsters are real, you've never hunted before, and we don't want you getting hurt."
Y/N got quiet for a moment, contemplating how she wanted to respond to that. When she finally spoke, she leaned across the kitchen table and told the boys very calmly, like eerily calmly "He was my family. I'm going and we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Your choice." It was loud and clear, in no uncertain terms that she would do anything for her family. That included killing vampires.
The group went silent again. Sam and Dean exchanged a few glances before Dean relented "Alright fine, but you follow our lead."
"Deal." Y/N nodded
~
It didn't take long to locate the vamp nest. Only a day or two. In that time Sam had given Y/N a full rundown of everything she'd need to know about Vampires. How they're nocturnal but that doesn't mean they can't wake up during the day, how the whole 'stake through the heart' thing doesn't actually work and you gotta cut the heads off, and how they normally live in groups.
Thankfully it was a small nest, only about 6 or 7 of them. When the 3 of them pulled up to the old, long abandoned Birchwood Resort, Dean popped the trunk revealing their weapons cache. Y/N looked surprised to see all that stuff, peeking over Dean's shoulder to get a better look. "I've never seen so many weapons in one place. That's awesome." She grinned as Dean handed her a machete. Sam looked at Dean, thinking to himself how similar she sounded to him.
"Alright, Sam and I are gonna go in. Stay out here and if you see any of them try to run out just chop the head off." Dean told her
"You're crazy if you expect me to stay out here and miss all the action." Y/N told Dean as she leaned against the side of her dad's car. She didn't care how long the old man had been dead. To her, that would always be his car. NOT Dean's. With a sigh, she looked up to the night sky and ran her fingers through her hair "Alright fine, whatever. You're the master. I'm just the padawan." She shrugged, kind of annoyed but not in the mood to argue. Sam chuckled at the Star Wars reference.
"This place is huge though." Y/N added "It's really easy to get lost in. You might be better off with someone who grew up here and is familiar with the area. I wonder where you could find someone like that." She hinted, as her and her friends would explore this place as teenagers. "I think we'll be okay." Sam declined. They really were set on having her outside. Thinking about it, she could definitely understand the decision. They'd probably see her as a liability.
Once Sam and Dean had found the nest, the massacre began. After killing half the nest Dean found himself pinned under a vamp, his weapon thrown across the room where he could reach it. "Sammy!!!!!" He called out but Sam was busy with 2 vampires of his own.
Outside Y/N had grown bored of waiting for the boys to return. How long did it take to kill a few 'Vampires'? 'Fuck it' she thought to herself 'I'm going in.' And that's exactly what she did. Looking around the place for her brothers she ran into 1 vampire. Too Easy. She cut the head off as it made a move to go after her. Looking at the decapitated head on the ground made her nauseated but she pushed on.
Before long she heard a commotion From inside one of the private cabins. Peeking through a window she saw the bad position they were in. Scared, and sick to her stomach she ran into the cabin. Swinging the machete in her hand she killed the vampire that had Dean pinned. It was a clean cut and came centimeters from Dean's throat.
He got up, grabbing his own machete to help out Sam. After the vamps were dead Y/N averted her gaze, trying to avoid looking at more dead bodies as she caught her breath.
"I thought we told you to wait outside!" Dean told her to which she instantly responded with "And I thought Sam said you guys would be okay on your own but I just had to come and save you. You should be thanking me."
With a sigh Dean nodded "Are you okay?" He asked, just making sure. "I'm fine. I'm covered in blood and I just killed 2 Vampires, but I'm fine." Despite the nausea, she grinned. The whole hunting thing wasn't supposed to be fun, but this was the most excitement she had in a long time. "Alright, I don't know about you guys but I would kill for a shower right now. If you want after that I know a great bar off main street. I could use a stiff drink."
~
Sam and Dean left 2 days later, having found a case in Virginia. "We are gonna keep in touch, right?" Y/N asked as Sam and Dean put their duffel bags in the Impala
"Of course we are." Dean agreed while Sam added his contact info to her phone. She of course already had Dean's info saved. "You sure you don't wanna come with us?" He asked which caused Y/N to shake her head lightly "As much as I would love to, I have responsibilities up here. Work, family, what's left of a mortgage to pay off...Maybe one day though." She offered a soft smile.
After hugging both boys and telling Dean to drive safe, they took off for Virginia. "Dude," Sam looked over at Dean "I know we were skeptical at first but can we agree she's definitely related to us?"
Dean looked at Sam weird “I don’t see it.”
“You’re kidding right?” Sam asked “Aside from the fact that she’s like a walking replica of me, she makes really good pie; you love pie. You saw how defensive she got when I told her it’d be safer to sty at home while we took care of the vamps. It’s clear she’d do anything for her family. Sound like someone you know? and while we’re on the subject let’s talk about the fact that she’s not a terrible hunter. She’s far from a natural and a little weak stomached, but for someone who’s probably never killed a thing in their life she wasn’t bad.” Sam listed all the different ways she was just like Dean.
“What was the first thing she said when she saw the arsenal he keep in the trunk?” Sam asked his brother who responded with “I dunno. What’d she say?”
“She said ‘That’s awesome. She sounded just like you.” Sam insisted
Dean sat silent for a moment, focusing on the road ahead of them before relenting “Yeah okay when you put it like that she’s definitely related.” He agreed

Save Yourself - Chapter 2
I Could Tell Right from the Start
Chapter 1 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 4 | Chapter 5 | Chapter 6 | Chapter 7 | Chapter 8 | Chapter 9 | Chapter 10 | Chapter 11 | Chapter 12 | Chapter 13 | Chapter 14 | Chapter 15 | Chapter 16
Dean Winchester x Reader
Hello! Chapter 2 is here! Thank you everyone who has shown love for chapter 1! I cried with joy 💙 As I was writing this chapter it became veeerrrryyyyy looooong, so it’s chopped in two (Wasn’t sure if anyone would want that long of a chapter 😂) Anyways we’re taking it back a few seasons (somewhere around 8), hope you enjoy!
Warnings: None as of now! Unless Dean standing in very close proximity is triggering ... Also Fluff?? Eventual Smut. Idk I’m new, I don’t know how to do these tumblr writing things!
Series Summary:
"I promise.” Those two words would trap you in a life you never wanted. You are an artist, a hunter, a Winchester. And yet the pain in Dean’s eyes as demanded you live the life he wants you live, you couldn’t say no. You met the Winchesters by chance, found out they were real people. And you figured it was a once in a life time thing, but then Dean called you, and so did a new job. Both leading to the life you wanted, a family that didn’t begin or end in blood and a once in a life time love. And he said leave it and him behind, forget. But you can’t.
Chapter Summary:
College: new people, new places and new experiences. You picked the smallest of the California State Universities, and frankly the one in an amazing little town and a creepy past. But you’re favorite book series is Supernatural so it didn’t surprise anyone that it was your top choice. But what happens when a 1967 Chevy impala shows up after three students disappearing off campus? Sam and Dean knew something was different about this hunt: you. And maybe having you around was good for them, but Sam knew what it meant to leave this world behind; and Dean, well he wouldn’t do to you what he did to Sam.
P.S. If you want to know the vibe listen to “Hotel California” by The Eagles (rumor says it was written about the Camarillo Mental Hospital but it’s not. Still fun to think it is though)
“So get this, the small town of Camarillo has had three student disappearances within the last two months.” Sam tells Dean as they cruise through Oklahoma.
“Ok, so?” Dean crinkles his brow.
“The students attend the local university, which used to be a state mental hospital. None of the people have been found but one of the victims' friends saw them disappear.”
“Ok well I’m sure we could send another hunter? This seems a bit small beans for us Sammy.”
“I have a feeling about this one. And it doesn’t hurt so take an easy case.” Sam smiles, turning back to his laptop.
“Sammy, I don’t think any case we’ve ever had could be labeled as easy. Anything else reported?”
“Just that the one witness told the Ventura County Star that they were poking around the abandoned parts of the school, they heard a noise and when they turned back around their friend was gone. The article states that the student was extremely distraught.” Sam purses his lips together, the picture included is of the witness at the crime scene.
“No link between the vics?”
“Just that they’re students. Hopefully we can find more when we talk to some locals.” Sam peruses the internet for anything on the school, coming across a few videos about local legends, quick facts about the school and even a few informational videos. He scrolls down to an FAQ video by one particular person who pops up the most.
“Hey everybody it’s (Y/N)!” Sam startles at the sudden sound and quickly turns the volume down.
“What are you watching?” Dean asks, giving Sam the side eye.
“Student, her name is (Y/N). She has a few videos up about the school, figured I would watch through the videos and maybe read the comments, she’s got a few thousand views on them.”
“Is she hot?”
“Does that really matter Dean?”
“It’s just a question.” Dean turns to Sam expectantly. Sam huffs in annoyance and turns the laptop towards him.
“She’s hot, seems really nice too.” Dean wiggles his eyebrows at Sam, who scowls and turns back to the screen.
————
“Thank God it’s the weekend!” You shout to the ceiling and flop onto the couch.
“True dat homie!” Your roommate Justine adds, falling into the recliner across from you.
“So I figured tomorrow we could do that photo project? Since a few of you are here for the weekend?” You huff.
“You think they’ll let us explore still? You know, with all these people missing?” Puppet asks, walking out of her room.
“I don’t see why not.” You move your legs so she can sit next to you on the couch. “We’re not going to be breaking into anything. Most of the locations are in places that students walk around all the time, no sneaking involved.”
A loud rumble comes through the windows of your dorm, the three of you turning at the noise. You get up and look out the window. Parked on the street is a fuckin 1967 Chevy impala! It looks exactly like the car from one of your favorite book series!
“It’s times like these I wish we lived on the first floor. I wonder who’s driving?” you muse.
“Isn’t that car on one of the posters in your room?” Justine asks, joining you and Puppet at the window.
“Ya, it’s from Supernatural. Wonder if they’re fans or just into old cars?” You watch as the impala drives away from the dorms, the sound of the engine slowly fading.
“You still going to the library tonight?” Justine asks.
“Yep, gotta get something done this weekend!” You peel your eyes away from the windows and pack your stuff for the trek to the library.
————
“Here we go. According to her Instagram she’s in the library.” Sam turns his phone to show Dean the photo.
“Is that a giant turtle?”
“Ya, looks like it.” Sam shrugs. They make their way up the long pathway to the library. Both smile at the lady working the front desk, who smiles back.
“Do you know where we can find the… giant turtle?” Sam cringes.
“Oh ya, that’s in the kids section.” She laughs, gesturing to the right side of the library. The boys nod in thanks and walk in. There’s not many students, but the clacking of keys is still very loud. Dean looks to where the librarian pointed and sees you in the reflection of the glass walls, gesturing for Sam to follow.
“(Y/N)?” Dean asks. You’ve got a bright red hoodie on and your hair trails down your back. When you don’t turn to look at him he repeats your name a little louder.
“What?” You ask pulling yourself headphones out of your ears.
“Are you (Y/N)? The one who makes the YouTube videos?”
“Yes…” you look between the two men. How is it that the two hottest men you’ve ever seen know who you are? And why on earth do they watch your videos?
“I’m Agent Spenser. My partner Agent Guster. We’re with the FBI and would like to ask you some questions.” Both flash their badges.
“Uh, ya. Let me pack up my stuff and we can grab a study room.” You quickly gather your things and lead them into the closest room.
“So why does the FBI want to talk to me? Is this about the missing students?”
“It is. Did you know any of them?” Sam questions, unbuttoning his suit jacket and sitting across from you.
“I know of them, one lived in the same dorm building. The others I’ve seen in passing.”
“Do you remember anything strange on the days they went missing? Cold spots, smell of sulfur, things like that.” Dean crosses his arms across his chest. His eyes raking over your figure.
“No. But would the FBI actually think it was ghosts? Or Demons?” You chuckle at the absurdity. Dean and Sam share a look, their eyes turning to you. “Seriously?” Your eyebrows shoot sky hi.
“Well…” Dean stutters, unsure if he should lie or tell you the truth.
“Dean, can I call you Dean? Do you drive a 1967, black, Chevy impala?” You shift in your chair so that you can face both of them.
“I do.”
“Are you actually FBI?” They don’t answer. They can’t be serious right? They can’t be your favorite fictional brothers… right?!
“Your name is?” You demand.
“Dean.” He hesitantly answers, not sure if you’ll smack him or kiss him.
“Dean What?”
“Spencer?” He winces. You shoot him a glare.
“How about Winchester? Born January 24, 1979? Little brother Sammy. Parents are John and Mary?” You’re gripping the table so hard your fingers are white. The pause in the room is deafening. If they look at you like you’re crazy then they have no idea what you’re saying. If they play along they may be fans. But why seek out a real case?
“How do you know that about us.” Dean slowly asks. He would remember if you had ever crossed his path; hell if he got up and left right now he would be able to remember the way your (Y/E/C) eyes saw right to his soul, how he felt completely relaxed around you, and how you smelled lightly of oranges.
“Carver Edlund.” You smash your lips together.
“You’ve… read the books.” Sam suck air between his gritted teeth, looking at you like you already know too much.
“It’s one on my favorite book series. Ever.” The three of you exchange looks, realizing this situation is beyond crazy.
“Will you help us?” Sam asks, his eyebrows raised. Dean shoots him a look, that he waves off. “You’ve read the books, so you know the basics of hunting. You also know the school and some of the stuff that went on here…”
You clench your jaw. If it’s the real Winchester brothers, how could you say no? Heck they’re super hot so how could you say no anyways?
“(Y/N)?” Dean asks, snapping you out of your internal monologue.
“How do I know you’re telling the truth? I’m not getting kicked out of school for trespassing.”
A smirk appears on Sam's face and he whips out his laptop. You and Dean share a look as Sam types furiously on the keyboard.
“I figured if you didn’t believe us, then maybe someone else could convince you.” Sam spins the laptop to face you and Dean.
“Hey Chuck.” Dean salutes. Your jaw hits the floor, Carver Edlund?!
“They are in fact who they say they are (Y/N). I’m not even joking, sadly. So hopefully you can help them and not get hurt. Or just run away now...”
“Oh.” A real hunt. With Sam and Dean. At your school. Right now.
“It’s what our dreams are made of. Probably your one chance. Just, be careful.” Chuck continues.
“Thanks Chuck.” You smile at the camera. Dean closes the laptop and leaves his arm on the table in front of you. You turn and your noses are a few inches apart. He has the cutest smatter of freckles along his nose and one thing fan fiction always gets right are his eyes. They’re candy apple green, with flecks of gold and emerald; but behind they’re beauty he holds the weight of the world.
“Will you help us?” He whispers, his warm breath lightly fanning over your face. He flick his eyes to your lips. They’re so close all he would have to do is lean a little closer...
“Only if you give me a salt shaker and some iron. I will also need to hold someone’s hand at some point.” You look between the two Winchesters.
“You scared?” Dean cocks his eyebrow at you.
“First real hunt, I would say more nervous than anything.”
“Well then, let’s get started.” Sam grins.
————
“We’ve been here for hours.” Dean mumbles into the table.
“We’ve been here for-”
“An hour and a half.” You finish for Sam. You shuffle through yours and Sam’s notes that are spread out over the table.
“Well I’m hungry.” Dean turns his head to face you. You smile at his grumpy expression, wanting to kiss that frown.
“Know any places nearby (Y/N)?” Sam rolls his eyes at Dean.
“Well I assume since it’s almost dark you’ll want to stay close. The best thing would be the Caf.”
“Caf?” They say in unison, Dean bolting upright.
“Cafeteria. All you can eat! You can stay as long as you want, so we can set up shop there Sammy.” You smile. Sam shrugs at Dean and they both begin packing up.
————
“Hi. One meal for me and use the flex cash for both of them.” You gesture to the boys.
“Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever had a woman buy me dinner.” Dean whispers in your ear. His hand lightly touches your hip, sending a shiver down your spine.
“I like to treat my boys well.” You wink, leaving a slightly flustered Dean at the entrance. Luckily he can’t see your face because where the fuck is this flirty confidence coming from and why is it never present around the cute guys in class! You show the boys around, telling them what each station is serving.
“All that’s missing is pie.” Dean drools, looking at everyone’s plate as they pass by.
“If you come on March 14th they have every pie you can think of.” Dean's eyes flick to your lips as you bite them, unconsciously licking his in response. Sam huffs in amusement at his brother, he hasn’t tripped over someone like this in ages.
“Pie Day. You know, 3.14. March 14th? The Cafe does actual pies and housing gives students who have a 3.14 or higher a little gift.” You thank the gentleman who made your burger and lead the boys over to the silverware station.
“And how many gifts have you gotten Ms. Smarty pants.” Dean growls into your ear, his nose lightly grazing your hair. You feel every cell in your body stand on edge and you’re 99% sure he fucking knows it.
“One every semester I’ve been here.” You look him square in the eyes as he stands next to you. His cock twitches at your confidence, his eyes never leaving yours as he gathers his cutlery. Sam apologizes to a few students behind you guys and grabs Dean by the neck to end the staring contest.
“You said one of the people that disappeared lived in housing right? Were they ever part of the pie day thing or any other school activities?” Sam asks as he slides into one side of the booth. You slide into the other and Dean slides in next to you, close enough that you can feel the heat from his leg on the outside of your thigh.
“Ya, Austin. He lives on the floor below me. I see him in passing, and my RA says he’s a good kid. Psych major.”
“Any idea where this is?” Sam brings out his laptop and shows the picture from the article he found.
“Back end of campus. It’s still part of the original hospital. All I’ve ever seen are random pieces of furniture and one building even has a big beautiful mahogany desk. Otherwise the old buildings are empty.” You look up from your plate to see both boys staring at you, eyebrows raised.
“What? I never broke into anything! Only peaked through broken glass or shoved my camera through open windows.”
“I’m still pretty sure that’s trespassing.” Sam laughs.
“It was for a photo project!” You look between the two, their smirks full blown grins. “And general curiosity.” You mumble. You and Dean turn back to your food as Sam clacks away on his laptop; the light from the screen bouncing off his face as he scans through various web pages.
“So the back of the building looks like it was a reception area. Nothing creepy seems to have happened there…” Sam furiously types away, now lost in the search for information; leaving Dean and I to chat.
“Yo neber feen anyfin creefy?” Dean asks through a mouthful of burrito. You smile at him wishing you could deep dive into their past, let both of these boys know how much you love and trust them.
“I personally haven’t, but I’ve heard stories.” You finally answer. Sam stops typing and both look at you expectantly. “I have a professor that says his dad knew a guy who worked here when it was a hospital. Apparently two orderlies had an affair with the same patient. One got jealous and killed the other, and even killed the patient.”
“Did he say where this happened?” Sam inquires, scrunching his brows together in the most adorable way possible.
“Napa Hall. The main art building at the front of the campus. The night cleaning crew in that building always travel in pairs, some have said they’ve heard ghosts or doors shutting.”
“Vengeful spirit would be my guess. Possibly more than one looking at the history of this place. They did all sorts of things to their patients.” Sam scrolls through a few different articles. He glances between you and Dean, smirking at the fact you two are sitting so close and neither of you have bothered to move apart.
“Do you think they’ve killed the people who are missing?” You fiddle with your hands, folding your legs underneath you to sit criss cross. Sam gives you an apologetic look and begins to answer but Dean puts his hand on top of yours.
“Maybe. But we can hope that something has taken them somewhere and we can find them.” He says softly, his eyes scanning your face. You inhale and nod; hope is something we can always have.

Fun Fact: I actually graduated from Cal State Channel Islands (no, it’s not on an actual island). I’m also a YouTuber!
I wanted a time gap that would make sense, thus why this is somewhere in Season 8. I am also aware that Chuck wasn’t in season 8, but we shall ignore that. Also CI has a very special place in my heart, thus all the very “CI” activities mentioned Next Chapter will have more Dean and Sammy! And hunting action!
Also thank you for reading fam

sticker fic:
brought to you by the sticker ficcers, @xojo and @misha-moose-dean-burger-lover.
the narrated version:
"Morning, Sunshine." Says Dean. "Some coffee?"
"SCREW YOU." Says Sam. His glorious hair is wet.
"How dare you!" Says Dean. His mouth's the O-shape of offense. He's also putting on the dead guy robe for some reason.
"BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!" Sam bitchfaces. In his eyes, is a glint which says, as he does - blah, blah, blah, blah. Then, he casts down his gaze. "Well, you are kinda butch."
Dean's eyes widen. His eyebrows don't rise. Instead of surprised, he looks shocked. Then he smirks, and quickly grows a stubble. With completely black eyes, he says. "I'm a demon."
Crowley appears, smirking. "Hello, boys."
"ASSBUTT." Castiel bellows.
No one had known he was there.
"What's wrong with you?" Says Crowley, after quickly growing a stubble as well.
Castiel folds his arms. It makes the trenchcoat look fitted. You know, like a liar.
"Are you okay?" Sam asks, tucking his hair behind his ear at supersonic speed. No one knows when it happened. But he's Sam Fucking Winchester, so they know it did.
"I don't know!" Dean scratches his ear. He does not know the question was for Castiel. He makes his eyes as sad as they can be - and they can be impressively sad. One eyebrow strays up, floating on a cloud of misery. "I never was."
Sam looks alarmed in a V-neck.
This is important information. Absolutely integral.
"Cat's out." Says Cas. He's rude, because his lips do a rude thing. And because of what he said. His eyes mock tragedy.
"Shut your face." Dean points. Pointing is rude. He does it anyway. While he does it, Sam grows bangs. "Oh god."
He lies down on the floor.
"Don't say that to me." Says Sam, with dimples of depression. He buries his face in his hands. Must feel pretty, the author conjectures.
"Come on." Dean says. He's frowning, and on a park bench. He looks closer with concentration and develops a double chin. Then he gels his hair really quickly and adds. "You look like a baby."
"SCREW YOU." Says Sam. His hair is wetter. His head is wet as well. Then he dries it with a whoosh no one notices, and looks away in disdain. He is in an open collared shirt. The author hopes you take note of these plot points carefully.
Dean shrieks.
Dean cries at a mirror.
Dean scowls, unimpressed. Ironically, his scowl is impressive. Moreover, it deages him.
Cas shrieks too. His eyes scream horrifiedness. His nostrils flare. You could see his molars, if you tried. The author tries.
Dean looks at a corner. "I don't even care anymore."
Charlie pokes her head out of a yellow car. Not enough is visible to be ugly, but readers are advised to assume it's ugly. "What's up bitches?" She's wearing a seatbelt. Gays are awesome.
"Kind of in the middle of something." Says Dean. His forehead has creases which have no right being pretty. They're pretty.
"I know. I was surprised too." Says Cas.
No one knows what he means.
Sam, suddenly lit in a green light, shows that he doesn't know what he means. He doesn't wait for an explanation, and raises his hand. "That's enough, uh yeah, thanks."
Sam is rude, beautifully.
The author is very helpful with pointing out plot points, as ever.
"You done?" Says Claire and her french braid.
Chuck is there now. He has an extremely white mug. It could have coffee inside. It could also have poison. The author does not identify as a journalist, and is not required to be unbiased.
"Do you have any bacon?" Says Chuck. He has curls. They hide the evil under.
"No." Jack says, blank faced for some reason. "You back off. Old man."
"Back off." Says Sam, in a slightly greater font size. One (1) lock of hair strays from his perfect mane, and falls on his face. It's still perfect, the author assures. Then Sam quickly gets shot, and his forehead pierced with metal rods. It's clearly for the vibe. Because Sam says, "I will destroy you." He does not say it periodlessly.
"Yeah. That's right." Says Jack. He pouts, because he's right. He can, because he's Jack.
Sam looks proud of him with a spotted blue tie and shiny, conditioned hair.
The author loves him very much.
part two, if you're the kind of person who wants it:
Rowena purses her lips, ending up with dimples of discontent.
"Balls!" Bobby cries out. Then he takes off his cap for some reason before adding, "Were you ever nice?"
"Shut up!" Dean yells over his shoulder. He fixes her with an offended stare - as if not shutting up would be offensive on her part.
"I hate to interrupt." Says Rowena, interrupting. "What the hell is this?" She looks appalled. Perhaps she's realized she just interrupted.
He's excellent at delivering backhanded insults like that. The author is proud of his newfound subtlety.
"Gun. Mouth. Now." Dean simply reaffirms Bobby's accusation - because he's awesome like that. "Shut your face." He also says, pointing at them all, to further illustrate his paternal figure's point.
Crowley plants his chin in his palm, and looks at the floor with an unreadable (the author swears she tried) glint in his eyes. "Kill me." Perhaps they're tears.
"Oh, they don't miss me." Cas lets out, matter-of-factly, as he sips from his teacup of coffee.
"I think this was just a minor misunderstanding." Sam steps in, and brings puppy bangs with him to solidify his statement.
The author tries and fails to survive staring at them.
Dean clicks his tongue, and manages to resemble a squirrel to a T. Or an S. Everyone's entitled to spell words differently, English is a weird language.
Sam looks at Dean, irritated. "Make it stop." He grits out, clenching his jaw. He's replaced the bangs with sideburns. They have more potential to seem irritated.
"Maybe." Cas pouts, inexplicably.
"What?" Dean sounds positively aghast - but it's toned down from the years of practise from being in the poetic kind of love with the only angel in the world for him - and thus, only shows up in his eyes.
"You don't understand." Cas picks up a salesboy by his collar. He's so whimsical, the author completely gets why Dean's head over heels for him. Cas keeps everyone - especially salesboys who don't get him pie - on their toes.
"You look like a baby." Dean informs him, all laugh-lines and dimples. "Okay, all right." He says next, gruff, trying to smoothen out the curve of seeming like a goner for Cas.
Cas shoots him a discouraging look. "Ouch." He bites his bottom lip, and closes his eyes - and everyone in a seven mile radius ends up pregnant.
True story.
Also, Narendra Modi shows up, namaste-ing the phenomena that is Cas.
"Shhhhit!" Cas squints. He knows a thing or two about horrible, prejudiced political leaders, from an alternate universe Cas's experiences.
"Oh god." Sam adds, regrowing bangs really quickly.
Modi whispers into his phone, eyes trepidly on everyone in the room, and a hand covering his mouth.
Dean stares, unimpressed. Or so it seems until he says, "You gotta teach me how to do that."
Modi shoots the universal gesture for OK at him.
"I will stab you in your face." Dean declares, with parted hair and an office tie. "I'm gonna get my gun." Now he's got sleep-floofed hair and the dead guy robe. Threatening Dean Winchester sure is impressive like that.
(Maybe he'd wanted to learn right away, and took Modi's OK as dismissal.)
(Meh.)
"Maybe you could be a little less... Lord-ly?" Sam cuts in, with his best lawyer impression. Nobody's sure who it's directed to - Dean, the Indian PM, Cas even? - but it doesn't matter because his eyebrows curve like parentheses of reasonability, hair tucked completely behind his ears - and everyone listens to this Sam.
"OKAY." Dean mumbles, sticking a needle in a doll. Or so, the author assumes he's doing.
Sam stares at him blankly for a beat, and then sighs into a smile. His hair's now long enough to curl magnificently at his neck. "You're too precious for the world." He strangles out, basically choking on the sentiment as he grabs Dean, and smushes him into a hug.
Cas smirks, smug.
"Oh, you." Sam pulls back enough to suddenly be in a maroon cardigan as he gazes at his brother through spectacled eyes of adoration.
Dean pulls him in then, bringing Sam down to his height - and Sam's hair escapes the ponytail grandly enough to fall over his face in perfect, messy locks.
The author's already weak heart stutters in her chest, and proceeds to give up entirely.
"Oh. No." Cas exclaims. Probably not for the author, but it's a sweet, borderline necromance-y coincidence. And then, unexplanably, he tilts his head and furrows his brow. "The whore."
Dean sighs, and facepalms. Sam changes into a grey button-up, and looks away into the distance.
The author daydreams too hard about being looked at like that, and loses it entirely.
Fin.

I Got You
Pairing: The Mandalorian x Reader
Warnings: Blood, mild violence, fluff
Word Count: 1.6k
A/N: So I decided to make this three parts to sorta make up for the short last one. I am working on all of my requests and I plan on going back and forth between them and my originals. My requests are still open!
Hurt // Beginnings
“Just be careful, alright?”
Y/N nodded, giving his arm a comforting squeeze. “It’s gonna be alright, Din. I can handle it.”
Din nodded, but he was still tense. This was the first job since she started where it was her taking the reins and going solo. He was too noticeable for the job; they’d be able to pick him as soon as he walked in. They had to keep a low profile, and so Y/N devised a plan to lure their man out, who would no doubt be at the local cantina drinking himself to death.
“He’s probably going to be too drunk to comprehend what’s going on anyway. Besides, you’ll be outside waiting for me,” she assured him. “If you hear or see anything, you’ll be right there with me.”
He knew it was supposed to be soothing, but he wasn’t finding any solace in her words. Y/N felt this and sighed.
“Listen, you need to calm down. It’s not good for either of us,” she gently reminded him. “Gotta keep a clear head here.”
Din sighed, grabbing her hand to place against his chest plate; right over his heart. She leaned up on the tip of her toes to press her forehead against his, closing her eyes and taking in the coolness of the beskar.
“I’ll be okay,” she promised.
…
Y/N wished she could’ve kept that promise.
It was all going so well until a there was a gun fight. Turns out, the man had made a lot of enemies on the way, and there were plenty eager to set whatever debt or deal they had with him with violence.
“Hello sweet thing,” the man stuttered. He wasn’t near blackout drunk yet, but he certainly was on his way.
Y/N didn’t need their tether to practically feel Din grit his teeth through the coms. She shuffled, making sure the red dress she wore was still just as alluring as Din confirmed it would be much to his chagrin.
“It’s not that I don’t trust you,” Din defended. “Because I do with all my heart and soul. It’s just I get… protective I guess I should say. I’m not afraid of you leaving me or not being able to fight. I know you’re capable on your own, but even I can’t win all the fights.”
The frustration was prominent from him, coursing through her body on full edge, even making her body just as tense as the mans before her.
“I understand,” she said. “I do. I worry about you too, you know.”
She held him in her arms that night – he was practically asleep on top of her, but his weight in that moment was reassuring, warm – and kissed him awake with small little kisses around his face in the dark until he chuckled at her ministrations.
And Din would be clenching his fists until they burrowed through those gloves and drew blood if he saw the way the man laid his hand on her bare knee with a sloppy coy smile.
“H- how about w-we get out of here?” The man stumbled.
Play it cool.
She willed herself (Din) to calm down before putting on the best seductive smile she could produce. “Sure, handsome.”
“Not with my bounty you won’t.”
The hunter sat in the far, dark corner of the bar, glaring at them.
“And don’t even think of reaching for that gun little girl,” the man scorned once he saw her hand twitch.
Knowing Din, he was probably circling around to get him from behind. All’s she had to do was buy them some time.
“Look,” she started. “How about we make a deal?”
The hunter smiled. “Sorry miss, gotta trust you first. And so far, you’re not very convincing.”
She heard the shot just before she saw him, but the hunter appeared to not go down without a fight, his trigger finger automatically pushing on reflex.
Din felt it before he heard her cry out. The sharp pain coursed through his upper thigh, the burning sensation enough to almost bring him to his knees. The shot to the man was swift, as quick as the moment happened.
“Kriff,” she groaned, clutching her thigh. “That’s gonna leave a scar.”
He rushed over to her, ripping a part of his cape to tie over the wound. He grabbed the bounty before he could make a run for it, aiming his blaster at him with a vengeance.
“Don’t move,” he snarled at him. He turned to Y/N.
“We gotta go now,” he growled. “Are you okay to walk?”
She grunted, nodding her head. He swung her arm over her shoulder and wrapped his arm around her waist, the other grasping his blaster so tightly she was sure he would break it.
“Look, I’m sorry about what happened to you,” the man tried reasoning with them. “I’ll make it to you. To the both of you, I promise!”
They didn’t say anything as they found a speeder, Din helping her delicately swing over. The trip back to the Razor Crest wasn’t long, and the man knew better than to fight his way out; he’d be dead the moment he tried.
The first thing Din did once Y/N was stabilized was put their bounty in carbonite, giving him a particularly hard shove before he froze. He then helped her to the edge of their cot where the Child was sleeping and set off to look for the kit; she had to guide him to it with her finger he was so frantic.
“You already lost a lot of blood,” his voice trembled. “But this spray and shot should do.”
Y/N yelped at the sting of the needle in her leg; it made his leg twitch as well at the sensation. He gave her a quiet apology, wrapping her wound up with such gentle precision for a man as rough and ruthless as he could be. Sometimes it made her feel special, that she was one of the only people who got to experience that side of him.
His hands hung limply on either side of her hips, head low. The Child, who was thankfully still asleep behind them, sighed in his sleep.
“I’m - .”
“I know.”
His voice was gruff, tense. She sighed, grabbing his hand in hers and intertwining their fingers. He looked at this and visibly relaxed, only a little, but it was a start.
“That could’ve gone better,” she finally joked.
There was a chocked huff, which she took as a stifled chuckle. It made her smile.
“Y/N.”
“Yeah?”
“I want to take my helmet off.”
She frowned but nodded her head and tried to back up so he could close the hatch, but he stopped her, mindful of her leg.
“That’s not,” he was struggling, gnawing at his lip. “I… I want… I want you to take it off.”
She gasped, mouth agape as she took in what he just said. She could feel his growing nervousness, but also the relief at the thought of him being open to her like this. It was stronger than any fear or doubts they’ve ever experienced, and it made her hurt nearly burst.
“A-are you sure?” She stammered. “I mean… your creed. I couldn’t ask you to do something you’re not comfortable with.”
This time he didn’t try to hold in his laughter, patting her uninjured leg. “I wouldn’t ask if I was. I want this. I want you to see me.”
He gulped, shifting on his knees between her legs. She didn’t think she ever saw him this skittish before.
“I could’ve lost you today. And it made me realize that this life… any life really, is short. It can end at any moment and I would never forgive myself for denying this from us.”
She opened her mouth to speak, but he quickly interjected. “And I’m absolutely positive this is what I want. You’re my soulmate, Y/N. The love of my life. And I’m ready to take the next step with you. If you are, of course.”
Y/N’s heart was pounding in her chest, but in a good way. She grinned widely, and that grin prompted him to lead her wrists to the cheeks of his helmet, his own hands falling after he was sure she wasn’t going to move.
“Go ahead,” Din whispered.
Her hands felt cool and clammy as she held her breathe, slowly lifting the helmet over his head. His eyes closed instinctively, too afraid to see her reaction. It had been so long since another living thing had seen his face, and the fear that she wouldn’t like what she would see tried to cloud his mind; Y/N wouldn’t let it.
“Wow,” she exhaled. He was everything she ever dreamed of, but better. Her fingers traced his face delicately, outlining his plump lips, the stubble on his cheeks, crooked nose and closed eyes. His breath ghosted over her palms, making her shiver in a delicious way. “Din, baby. Please open your eyes.”
He couldn’t deny that soft adoration in her gentle demand and opened them slowly. It was everything he ever imagined, seeing her without the helmet’s filters. Her eyes twinkled as they met his dark brown ones, and if it were possible her grin would’ve stretched even more.
“You’re beautiful.”
Din kissed her, swallowing her surprised gasp and cupping her face gently. Her hands ran over his wavy hair, twirling a few strands of it in between her fingers. It felt divine, the bare touch of her skin against his, and he found his body shaking from the sensory overload of it.
They only pulled away for air, both panting with their foreheads pressed together. They sat like that for a few blissful moments with her playing with the strands of hair at the back of his neck – she didn’t miss the way it made him quiver – before kissing the tip of his nose.
“We need to cut your hair soon.”

Fandom: Supernatural
Pairing: Castiel/ Dean Winchester
Alternate Universe - Modern Settings | Friends to Lovers | Growing Up | Christmas Fic | Kid Fic | Teenagers | Adults | Fluff & Angst | Pining | Sam and Dean are closer in age |Background Sabriel |
Summary:
On Christmas Eve, five-year-old Dean meets a boy of the same age, named Castiel. With every passing year, their friendship blossoms, and soon, Dean knows that he is drawn to his friend more deeply he’d like to admit.
The question is: will he do something about it before it’s too late?
Read on AO3
(I will update throughout the month)
Read Chapter One below :)
Chapter One: Thursday, December 24th, 1998
“Dean, honey, what do we say?”
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome! Ho-ho-ho!”
The man pretending to be Santa Claus amicably bopped Dean’s head before walking away to the next couple of children standing by, awaiting their present.
Yes, Dean Winchester, despite being five-year-old, wasn’t fooled by this imposter. He knew this man couldn’t possibly be the real one.
It was quite simple, really. It was late afternoon, he hadn’t climbed down the chimney, nor had he any cookie or milk laid out for him.
And then, there was the gift in question.
Dean didn’t want to seem ungrateful, as he knew his mother wouldn’t like it, but he had been very specific in his letter to Santa.
And there was no way this flat, though large, box contained the very intricate race track set he had begged for.
But that was fine. As he had concluded, this man wasn’t Santa. He was just pretending. Like the one at the mall. Or the one near the video store.
No. The real Santa was yet to come.
“Don’t you want to know what you got?” his father asked him.
Glancing around him, Dean realized that nearly every child had already torn open the wrappings and were enjoying their Christmas surprises. Fire trucks. Coloring books. Dolls and soldier toys. Even Sammy, sitting on his mother’s lap, was hugging a cute teddy bear.
Feeling the stare of both his parents on him, Dean began tearing off the metallic blue and silver wrapping, which had snowflakes of various shapes on it, and was left staring at his present, puzzled once he had opened the box.
He had no idea what he was looking at. It was a thin layer of material, of a bright yellow color, with adorable bees depicted on it, stretched across a wooden frame, and a string attached to it.
“Oooh, that’s nice,” said Mary gleefully.
Noticing his confused state, John asked him, “Do you know what this is, Dean?”
Frowning, he shook his head at his father.
“It’s a kite,” he said kindly. “You make it fly.”
Dean lowered his eyes to look at his present again.
“Like in Mary Poppins,” said Mary. “You remember?”
He nodded.
“Next time we go to the park,” said John, “we’ll try it. Or even when we visit Uncle Bobby. He certainly has the open fields around his house for it.”
A grown-up, one of many present swarming around in the house, then called out to Dean’s parents. It was a nice lady named Tamara who smiled at Dean and wished him Merry Christmas.
“Isaac is somewhere in the parlor talking with Rufus and Bill Harvelle. They were asking for you, John,” she said to Dean’s father.
“Bill?” said Mary. “Did he and Ellen bring little Joanna with them?”
“That’s what he said. I was just on my way to find them.”
Keeping Sam in her arms, Mary stood up from her seat, scanning the room for her friend.
“I’ll go check on Isaac and the others, and then I’ll catch up with you to see Ellen and the baby,” said John, smiling at his wife’s eagerness to see the newborn. He then turned to his son. “Do you want to say hello with me, Dean? Or would you prefer going with Mom, Sammy and Tamara?”
Dean shrugged. Talking to grown-ups wasn’t exactly what he considered a thrilling activity. Of course, there were exceptions.
Due to his lack of enthusiasm, however, his mother then suggested, “How about you stay here with the other children?”
Another questionable prospect, thought Dean.
Most of the kids in the living room, laughing and playing with their new toys, seemed much older than he was.
And more importantly, he didn’t really know any of them.
The celebration, which Dean and his family were taking part in that day, had been hosted by Mr. Donatello Redfield, one of Dean’s neighbors.
Except for when John had raked his lawn in the fall, a task dutifully assisted by Dean—though he had mainly played in the pile of dead leaves while his father had done most of the work—Dean hadn’t had much interaction with Mr. Redfield.
He remembered that he had been very generous at Halloween when he and Sam had stopped by his house. Mr. Redfield had given them enormous delicious candy bars. And Dean also recalled him letting him taste his spicy chicken wings on the Fourth of July, in the previous summer.
But nothing much beyond that, and especially during Christmastime. For reasons unknown to Dean, Mr. Redfield didn’t make a fuss of the holidays. He typically travelled somewhere exotic and returned home in the new year with a sunburn on his nose.
This year, however, had been different. For health-related reasons, or so Dean had heard, Mr. Redfield had been recommended to pause his travels, and given his holiday habits, many of his concerned neighbors feared he would feel lonely and had wanted to keep him company.
So, due to numerous dotting neighbors, friends and colleagues showing up at his doorstep throughout the months of November and December, Mr. Redfield had decided to host a Christmas family-friendly party on Christmas Eve to thank everyone.
His first ever.
The crowd was merry. Laughter and cheers from children and adults alike filled the entire house.
But despite the jolly vibe in the air and the numerous children present, Dean hadn’t been too keen on exploring on his own.
When he told his parents why that was, his mother said, “That’s a good thing, sweetie. It means you can make a new friend. Okay?”
Assessing his mild hesitation, after he had glanced apprehensively at the other children, she pointed out that he had nothing to worry about and that if he was shy, he could start by joining another of their neighbors. For example, Mrs. Missouri, a kind and generous woman, was comfortably sitting in a rocking chair, telling a story to a few children gathering around her, and listening with attention and with wide eyes, near the fireplace.
Suddenly determined to prove that he was not shy, Dean shook his head and said, “I’ll go play with the others, first.”
Even if he really wanted to say hello to Missouri as well.
“Alright, buddy. Do you want me to hold this for you while you do that?” said his father, pointing at his kite, but Dean expressed that he wanted to keep it with him.
And without further ado, young Dean turned on his heels and joined the group of children, searching for a new friend.
He was briefly tempted to approach a joyous girl with a blond ponytail and a sheriff’s hat that was too big for her. She was laughing with her friend who had a very strange haircut. His hair was very short in the front, but really long in the back. They were playing Connect Four, which Dean enjoyed playing.
He changed his mind, however, when a bunch of older children swooped by, running around, taking a lot of space.
Feeling somewhat intimidated by them, Dean briefly glimpsed back to the spot where his parents and his brother had been a moment ago.
But they were no longer present, as he knew they wouldn’t be.
He swallowed hard and decided to go near the large window across the room to avoid the bigger kids. He kneeled next to the Christmas tree, taking in the overwhelming scent of pine and cinnamon, and observed the room from this new angle, holding on tightly to his kite.
Everyone else seemed to know each other and blissfully occupied themselves with their toys.
Which made sense, thought Dean, as their toys could be enjoyed in their current environment.
Unlike Dean’s.
“Hello.”
Dean looked up.
A boy his age and height, with bright blue eyes and thick, wavy dark hair, was suddenly standing right in front of him. He was wearing a green knitted sweater with an angel on it and his socks were different colors.
“Hi.”
“Do you want one?” the boy asked politely.
He was holding a square box against him with one hand.
And then, Dean’s eyes fell on what the boy was presenting him with his other hand.
Star-shaped sugar cookies.
“For me?”
The boy nodded.
After Dean accepted his generous offer, the boy sat next to him and they both ate their treats next to each other.
“What did you get?” he asked Dean, nodding at what he was holding.
Pursing his lips, Dean showed him his kite. Expecting the boy to be as disappointed as he was, he was then stunned to see the boy’s eyes widen.
“You’re so lucky,” he told him.
“You think so?”
“I like bees,” he said, after nodding. “And kites are fun.”
“I’ve never had one before.” Eyeing the box that the boy had rested next to him, he said, “What’s yours?”
And the boy slid himself closer to Dean to show him.
Right next to him.
They delicately opened the box together.
And to Dean’s delight, the boy retrieved a giant rainbow slinky.
“Whoa! That’s so cool. Can we play with it?”
“You like it?”
His eyes glued to it in adoration, Dean nodded.
“Do you want it?”
Young Dean blinked. “What?”
“We can exchange, if you want.”
“Really?”
And moments later, both boys were content with their new presents. Dean certainly believed that he had gotten the better end of that deal. At that thought, a mild pit grew in his stomach, not unlike when he sometimes lied to his mother about brushing his teeth.
Feeling uneasy that he had perhaps taken advantage of his new friend’s generosity, he asked him, “Are you sure you don’t want the slinky? It’s really fun and the colours are nice. It was yours first. I—if you changed your mind, it’s okay.”
But the adorable boy in question did not mind. In fact, he informed Dean that the main reason why he was so keen on having the kite was because his brother had one of his own. So now, he would be able to accompany him to the park without having to constantly ask him to share.
Reassured—not to mention, very glad to know he could keep his rainbow slinky—Dean said, “I have a brother too. He’s younger than me.”
“I have more than one brother. I have three. They’re all older than me.” The boy hadn’t said it with as much enthusiasm as Dean had. His brief morose expression disappeared though, and a warm grin spread on his face when his eyes met Dean’s.
His bright blue eyes staring back at him.
“What’s your name? I’m—” started saying the other boy, but he was cut off by an impeccably dressed teenager, who had stopped right in front of them.
“Castiel, there you are. Come, now. We have to go.”
Dean’s new friend shook his head vehemently at the teen. “No. I want—I just made a friend. Can I stay a little longer? Please?”
“Aunt Naomi said we have to leave now or we’ll be late.”
“Michael, please? I’ll—”
“She asked me to find you. I found you, now come on.”
“Michael,” hissed a woman. “It’s time to go—Gabe, stop! You’re making me dizzy.”
A child with sandy hair, not much older than Dean and Castiel, was running relentlessly around her, chortling and unspent.
“Castiel, say goodbye.” And his brother presented him his hand, signalling to him that he had to leave immediately.
He turned facing Dean and said softly, “Goodbye.” And added, waving at him, “Thank you for the kite. I love it.”
“Bye.” And Dean thanked him as well.
He watched his new friend walk away towards his family members, a large group, mostly consisting of older kids and adults, and disappeared through the crowd.
Feeling lonely once more, Dean was suddenly sad when he realized that he never had the chance to tell him his name.
He comforted himself, however, that he had caught the boy’s name and was eager to tell his parents of his new friend and the very first Christmas present he had ever received from a friend.
And that was the day Dean had met his best friend Castiel Novak. His best friend of many years to come. And one day, perhaps, something more.

Heart
Dean x reader x Cas
For @schischi
Notes; The whole white witch plot is borrowed from Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters.
Part 1 of 3
“Mom! I brought you your favourite coffee.” You called, locking your mother’s front door behind you. “I thought we could do a girls day. Mom, where are you?” You questioned aloud, putting the hopping bag on the bench.
You walked through the large house, checking every room on the ground floor.
“Mom!” You called, walking upstairs. “I know you’re home; I saw your car in the drive.” You said. Ignoring every other room, you made your way to her bedroom. An ear shattering scream left your body as you caught sight of your mangled mother in a pool of her own blood.
A series of loud knocks echoed through your home as you made your way to the front door. Upon opening the door you took notice of the two men standing in your doorway.
“Hi, sorry to disturb you Miss, I’m agent Banner and this is my partner agent Ruffalo.” The taller of the two introduced, both he and the shorter man pulling out their badges. “We just had a few questions concerning your mother.”
“Oh of course, I’m Y/N but you probably know that.” You said, opening the door and gesturing for them to enter. “I’m sorry the place is such a mess; I haven’t had time to tidy.” You told the two, feeling embarrassed at the disarray your home was home.
“It’s perfectly understandable given the events of the past few days.” Agent Ruffalo assured you, taking the offered seat on your couch.
“I thought I already gave a statement when I found her?” You questioned, sitting across from the two.
“Yes you did, we just had a few questions about your original statement.” Banner assured you. “Now when you found your mother, was there anything strange you noticed? Any odd smells, flickering lights or things anything like that?”
“No nothing like that. Everything seemed normal, I didn’t think anything was wrong until I found her.” You said, fiddling with your fingers.
“We understand you have a key to your mother’s home. Is it possible for us to borrow it? Check out the scene a bit more?” Ruffalo questioned.
“Of course, if it helps you find out what happened.” You said, rising to a stand. “Wait here a second.” You told the two and walked into the kitchen. You grabbed the key and walked back towards the living room but hid behind the door frame as you heard them talking.
“So what are you thinking?”
“I’m thinking it’s a deal, but we shouldn’t rule anything out.”
Shaking your head at the weird conversation you walked back in. “Found it.”
“Thank you very much, Y/N. We’re very sorry for your loss.” Agent Ruffalo said, taking the key out of your hand. “We’ll be in touch if we find anything.”
“Thank you. Have a nice day.”
“Hit me.” You said, tapping the bar.
“You look like someone who’s had a bad day.” The bartender said, pouring you another drink.
“Try bad week.” You snorted dryly, downing the drink quickly.
“Anything I can do to help you fix it?” The man offered, flirting in a not so subtle way.
“Not a chance bud.” You laughed. Offended by your rejection, the man walked away from you to serve a group of women at the end of the bar.
You’d been sitting in silence for nearly twenty minutes when someone sat in the chair next to you.
“I didn’t expect to find you here. I thought you were more of a drink at home type of girl.” Agent Ruffalo said, turning towards you.
“Well normally I would much prefer that but I’m all out at the moment.” You snarked, causing the man to chuckle.
“You okay, darling? You look a little worse for wear.” He asked you in concern.
“I buried my mother today.” You said, tapping the bar again. “And then had it pointed out by the town that I am entirely alone.”
“I’m sorry you had to do that alone.”
“Not your fault.” You shrugged, downing another shot.
“Let me buy you a drink, darling. You look like you could use one.” He said, flagging down the bartender.
“You don’t need to do that, Agent Ruffalo.” You insisted.
“I’m off duty Y/N, it’s Dean.” He smiled.
One drink quickly turned into four. You found yourself enjoying Dean’s company. You felt very comfortable with the agent, feeling as if you’d known him for years instead of a few days. The two of you sat at that bar talking about various details of each of your lives.
The two of you shared stories about your shitty childhoods, laughed at your crappy love life and talked about his successful relationship with his long term partner Cas.
“I love him.” Dean smiled giddily after his fifth drink. “I never thought I’d deserve someone like him.”
“You sound like you really love him.” You smiled at him.
“I do. He’s one of my soulmates.”
“What you have another?” You questioned, not thinking much of his phrasing. The man had had a few to drink.
“Apparently. We don’t know who our second is, but I know I’ll love them.” He mumbled.
“Dean!” Echoed through the bar. Turning around you saw Agent Banner making his way towards you. “Dean, I’ve been calling you for hours. We need to go.” Banner told him.
“Do you need some help, he’s had quite a few.” You laughed as Dean smacked his partner as he tried to help him up.
“Uh, no thank you. I’ve got plenty of experience here.” The tall man laughed somewhat tersely.
“Alright. Have a good night, Agent Banner. You too Dean.” You bid the two farewell as Banner managed to drag his partner out of the bar. “One more.” You told the bartender, tapping the bar once more.
One more and you’d go home.
One more, for your mother.
Bottoms up.
You awoke with a groan the next morning as the sun burnt your eyes. Your head was pounding as you forced yourself to sit upright. Another groan escaped you as your phone began to loudly ring.
“Hello?” You croaked, answering without looking.
“Y/N, it’s Dylan.” Your best friends brother greeted you. “I’ve got some bad news.”
“What happened Dylan?” You asked him, suddenly feeling much more alert and awake.
“It’s Emily. She’s dead, Y/N.”
Non-reader POV
“I’m telling you, Dean, it’s her.” Sam insisted. “It has to be her.”
“Sam, I have a hangover and don’t want to keep saying this, but it’s not her.” Dean said gruffly, massaging his temples.
The two had been arguing all morning. It was a continuous cycle of "It's her," and "It's not her."
"Give me one good reason as to why it can’t be her.” Sam demanded.
“Because she buried her mother yesterday. You didn’t see how torn up this girl was when I got there. And her friend just died. It’s not her.”
“So she’s a good actor. Hex bags were found at both houses, Dean.” Sam argued. “And that’s not all, four months ago her father died and guess what his body looked like.”
“Why would she kill these people Sam? You’ve got no motive.”
“Yes I do.” Sam said, quickly typing something into his computer. “Y/N was adopted. And six months before her father’s death she started going to therapy. According to the sessions notes, the father beat the crap out of her and the mother for most of her childhood.”
“Then why would she kill the mother and her friend?” Dean questioned his brother, still not doubting the woman’s innocence.
“The mother let it go. Didn’t report him. Maybe her friend found out.” Sam shrugged. “Dean, she could kill again, she’s already got three under her belt. We have to do something.”
“Shit.” Dean sighed, resting his head in his hands. “We’ll go talk to her again today. See if we pick up witch vibes, but I still don’t think it’s her.”
Reader POV
You couldn’t breathe. You couldn’t do anything as your mind raced and your body began to shake. After hearing the news on Emily’s passing you’d shut down. A part of you registered the what was happening around you but that part was loudly drowned out by your screaming mind.
Emily was dead.
Your mother was dead.
Your father was dead.
You were well and truly alone.
The bedroom lights were beginning to flicker. As your panic attack began to worsen you could see them flickering even more aggressively.
There was the sound of light bulb sharing before the room descended into darkness. You noticed but were unable to do anything.
Someone was screaming your name. You could hear it but you couldn’t do anything about it.
You couldn’t do anything and it was when your breathing became particularly difficult the world finally went dark.
Non-reader POV
“What do we do?” Dean questioned Sam in panic as he tried to get Y/N to break out of her stupor.
“You gotta make her breath.” Sam said, kneeling on her other side. “She’s having a panic attack.”
“Jesus!” Dean cried out in surprise as the light bulb shattered. Both men covered their faces as the glass scattered.
“Move.” A gentle voice commanded, startling the two brothers. Both turned at the new voice to see Castiel standing behind them.
“Cas?” Dean questioned as the angel pushed the two hunters to the side. The angel kneeled in front of the woman, who was struggling to breath, and pressed two fingers to her forehead. Y/N’s eyes closed as Cas’s fingers and promptly fell back on the bed.
“There is no need for your gun, Sam.” Castiel said, turning back toward the Winchesters. “I would suggest you stop playing with it.”
“Cas she’s a witch. That light show is proof. She’s killed three people; she needs to be stopped.” Sam said, trying to convince the angel.
“She has not killed anyone. I won’t let you kill her, Sam.” Cas said, narrowing his eyes at the tall moose.
“Cas what’s going on?” Dean questioned his soulmate. “Why are you protecting her?”
“For the same reason you want to protect her, Dean.” Cas told him, taking his hand. “She’s our other soulmate.”
Reader POV
When you awoke this time, you felt worse than you did before. This was no longer a case of a hang over, this was the after effects of a panic attack that took everything out of you.
You groaned as you got out of bed, all your muscles screaming as they began to move. Walking out of the bedroom and seeking the kitchen, you rubbed your temples in an attempt to sooth your raging headache.
Turning on the kettle you quickly popped two ibuprofen and took them dry.
“I see you’re awake.” A voice said behind you, startling you and causing you to almost drop your coffee cup.
“Who the hell are you?” You snapped at the unfamiliar man.
“He’s definitely not from hell, sweetheart.” Dean chuckled waking into your kitchen with his partner.
“What are you doing in my house?” You questioned, wrapping your arms yourself. “And, again, who are you?”
“I am Castiel.” The mystery man, Cas now, said. “And we’re here to help you.”
“Cas before you get into it, maybe we let her have some coffee. Or sit down.” Agent Banner cut in. Dean and Cas agreed with him and allowed you to make yourself a coffee. You felt a slight feeling of trepidation as you followed the three men into your living room but there was another part of you that felt at ease with the men.
“Am I allowed to know what’s going on?” You asked the men, sitting in the only single chair in your lounge.
“Before we get into this, we need you to listen to us before you decide we're nuts.” Dean said, giving you a serious face.
“Okay.” You said, clutching your coffee close. “One question, is this going to end with the three of you chopping up my body and throwing me into some dumpster? Because if it does, I don’t want to hear it.”
“Relax sweetheart, you’re not going to die.” Dean soothed. “First off, I’m Dean Winchester, this is my brother Sam. We’re hunters.” He said pointing to the tall man who gave you a smile and a wave. “We’re not your average hunters, we don’t hunt buck or bears, we hunt monsters.”
“We've been doing it for years, trying to protect the innocents.” Sam cut in. “We came to town because your mother’s death wasn’t under normal circumstances.”
“What do you mean not under normal circumstances?” You interrupted, unable to stop the question. Sam and Dean shared a look before Dean sighed.
“Your mom was killed by a witch.” Dean admitted. “And when we found out about Emily and what happened to your father Sam thought it was you.”
“You thought I would kill my family and friend?” You asked, narrowing your eyes at the long-haired man.
“I’m sorry, there was just a lot of evidence that I thought pointed to you. I should’ve looked into it a bit more instead of jumping to conclusions.” Sam apologized.
“Anyway, we came here this morning to talk to you about it but we found you having a panic attack. We couldn’t get you to calm down and suddenly your lights are flickering and the next thing you know, your globes shatter.” Dean told you.
“This is when I arrived.” Castiel said. “I calmed you and put you to sleep.”
“Not the best phrasing but could be worse.” Dean muttered. “Oh and Cas here is an angel of the lord.”
“Oh God.” You finally mumbled after a minute.
“No he’s not here anymore, he left.” Cas told you, making your eyes widen.
“Okay, suppose I buy this and don’t think you’re all nuts, why did all my light bulbs shatter?” You asked them, putting your mug on the table. “And why is everyone around me dying?”
“Okay Cas, you’re up.” Dean said, pointing to the angel. “And gently please.”
“Y/N, you’re not human.” Castiel started, making your eyes widen and the boys sigh. “At least not entirely. As I’m sure you’re aware you were adopted.”
“No, I was not actually.” You interrupted, choking on your spit.
“Ah, well now you are.” Cas said. Dean let out a sigh and Sam hid his face in his hands. “As I was saying, your parents were not your actual parents. I’m not sure who they were exactly but I do know your mother was a white witch.”
“So, I am a witch?”
“Yes, but not quite. Witches are people who sold their souls to demons, white witches are born. It’s passed on from mother to daughter. As angels We’re supposed to ensure the protection of white witches but over the decades, they have become a dying race.
Until now, we were sure they were all extinct. As it turns out your mother used a very powerful cloaking spell and hid you away. We hadn’t been able to locate you until today.” Castiel explained.
“Why would she cloak me and if you’re an angel how could you not locate me even through it?”
“As a white witch, you hold significantly more power than those who sold their souls. Your mother would have had to have used the last of her life force to protect you the way she did. That’s why we couldn’t find you. I'm not sure exactly why she cloaked you, but I would assume it was to protect you.” Cas said.
“So, what do you say, sweetheart?” Do you believe us?” Dean questioned you as you placed your head in your hands.
“Look I really want to believe you because I kinda believe it but there’s no physical evidence.” You said, looking up. “Is there any physical proof you have?”
Without another word Castiel’s eyes glowed a bright, supernatural, blue.
“Is that sufficient evidence?” He asked you, tilting his head to the side, eyes no longer glowing.
“Yeah, yeah I think that works.” You nodded. “Alright, I’m on board. He’s an angel, you’re hunters and I’m a witch. Jesus I need a drink.” You sighed, leaning back into your seat.
“Are you two going to tell her the rest of the news?” Sam asked the other two, a smug grin plastered to his face.
“There’s more?” You asked, face slightly paling.
“Oh yeah.” Sam smirked at his brother. “Come on Dean, you’re up to bat.”
“Fine.” Dean sighed, taking Cas’s hand in his. “The reason everyone around you is being murdered is because there’s a coven in the area that want you to feel isolated, so they can rip out your heart for a ritual.”
“What?” You exclaimed, voice raising slightly, as you covered your mouth in shock.
“You gotta tell her the rest, Dean.” Sam said. “She’s going to find out eventually.” He pointed out as his broker gave him a bitch face.
“Sam is right.” Cas agreed.
“Don’t you think we’ve dropped enough on her today? Do you want to overwhelm her?” Dean asked the two.
“Excuse me but I am right here and if I’m going to find out anyway, you might as well just tell me now.” You snapped, crossing your arms.
At your words Sam smiled and mumbled something you couldn’t discern; Cas gave you a bright smile and Dean let out a small chuckle.
“You’re defiently our soul mate, sweetheart.” He smiled.
A few seconds passed as you failed to register the words that left his mouth.
“Wait what?"

{If The World Was Ending You’d Come Over Right? }
Author: ohhey-mishamigosx
Relationship: Cas x Reader
Warning : Violence, swearing, ANGST, idk what else, its for big kids.
Word Count : 4404
A/N: I’ve been meaning to post more stories on here cuz AO3 is trash. This song gives me major SPN vibes so I made this. Its divided into 3 parts. The male sung verse/chorus is Cas’ POV, the female sung is Y/n’s POV, the part sang together will be both of them! This took me a while to write and I’m so happy with how it came out! So enjoy!
Summary: (A story written to the song lyrics of “If The World Was Ending”by JP Saxe & Julia Michaels) Castiel and Y/n have had a complicated relationship since day one, but now Chuck is wiping out the world they know, and Y/n is nowhere to be found.
- PART ONE - CASTIEL’S POV -
( Bold is Song Lyrics )
( Italics is Flash Back )
I Was Distracted, and In Traffic
The room was impossibly silent as a lone figure stood in a dark and dismal room, their head tilted to the heavens. Flashes of red were seen in the night sky, clouds outlined by the blood soaked light sending eerie shadows on the world below. The harsh flashes outlined the fabric of a worn trench coat and even older suit, the vessel wearing them was no stranger to the feeling of fear that filled his bones as the impending doom danced across the skies. He had been present for many of the earth's cleanings; from the Great Flood to some of his father’s more recent attempts at wiping the slate clean. But, in all those mass killings, those end of days times, he had never felt nearly as much dread as he felt in these very moments.
I Didn’t Feel it, When The Earthquake Happened
As his blue eyes followed the red lighting across the ever expanding skies, he found himself thinking back to one singular person.
One small human of the billions on this planet had captured his mind and held it in bittersweet captivity. He just knew she was somewhere halfway across the country he was in, her eyes also fixated on the skies. And he, an angelic host of the Lord, prayed that she too was thinking of him, but he knew that to be far from the truth. He would know, he remarked, if she was sending out her thoughts to his almost graceless form.
The earth shook.
Castiel felt the very ground beneath his feet cry out in pain as a rumble filled his ears. He grabbed ahold of the wall next to him and dug his fingers into the plaster. He watched as dirt erupted from new forming holes and cracks in the surface of this once calm planet. He knew it was drawing to a close. He knew his father had had enough of the foolery of his creation, and now he was striking back. The end was near.
And he was alone.
But It Really Got Me Thinking
“Well, look who’s back.” Her voice was soft, but bitter and it sent a shiver to the angels' very core. He turned his head from Elieen and met her gaze. The ghost of a smile was seen on his cracked lips as he took a step to face her fully.
“Hello Y/n.” He rasped, his blue eyes twinkling. Her expression didn’t change in the least bit as Sam came to rest behind her. He pursed his lips into a flat line and raised his brow at Castiel, making his confusion with her temperament known as well. Eileen signed something to Y/n and she responded quickly, too fast for Sam to see and unknown to Castiel. She stepped away from Sam and past Cas to lean her weight against the map table.
“What brought you back? Thought you and Dean were mad at each other again.”
Sam looked to Castiel confused as the seraphim looked to his feet, then back at the woman across from him.
“I was told that Sam needed help with his….. Unusual wound ...” The words left his mouth like a plea for any form of relaxed conversation, but it met Y/n’s ears like a deflection of what she truly wanted him to say. She narrowed her eyes at him and smiled dryly while nodding.
“Yeah…” She pushed her weight off the table and brought her body impossibly close to his. Castiel felt his grace flare for a moment, the proximity of Y/n to him was affecting him in more ways than one. Her e/c eyes were fixated on his blue ones as he felt her body heat enter his own personal space. His Adam's apple bobbed as he tried his best to keep his eyes on her’s and not her weather beaten lips.
“That’s exactly what I thought you’d say…” Castiel felt like a spike of ice had entered his vessel. Her words cut him deeply as she made her way around him and out of the room. Sam, Eileen, and Cas watched as the hunter left the room with her arms crossed. The way she carried her obvious sour emotions resembling that of Dean, and giving Castiel yet another taste of the discomfort of being in the presence of this family.
Were You Out Drinking?
Were You In The Living Room Chilling
Watching Television?
The sky was growing darker and brighter all at once as the lone fallen angel made his way through the musty afterglow of the earthquake. His mind drifted to thoughts of Sam and Dean, and what they must be doing now. They always seemed to be at the center of earth shattering events, and this time must not be an exception. He imagined them throwing caution to the wind and pulling out all the stops in order to bring his father’s plans to its knees once again, like a never ending story book that had no definitive plot. He wondered however, as he looked to the rubble around him, if this time God had truly given up. If this was to be the ending to the creation he had hid from for so long.
“I’ve never seen this planet so calm.” His voice drifted over the restless land and floated into the air with no real destination. He wondered how Heaven and Hell would react to the coming end, and to add the Empty to the mix was a frightening thought. He had gone face to face with that entity before, and hated every minute of it. That disgusting abyss had taken more than one friend from him; from brothers and sisters, to the only soul that had ever come close to calling a son. He recalled the way Jack used to interact with Y/n. How he looked to her for comfort and compassion when the Winchesters lacked the knowledge of how to tap into those emotions. She was so kind to the young boy. She treated him like family, and Castiel couldn’t help but see him and her as the parents that Jack deserved.
There she was again.
The world was crumbling around him and all he could bring to his mind was a girl that had rejected him long ago. She was all he could think of. Her world was coming to a close and he feared she may be alone in this chaos. He feared most of all that he hadn’t crossed her mind once.
It’s Been A Year Now
“You don’t get it Cas! After all this fucking time you still don’t get it!” Her voice was rough and raw as she screamed at the angel across from her. He stood rigid and tall, his suit jacket and trench coat were placed on the edge of her bed, his frame looking impossibly naked with his white sleeves rolled and tie loose. He clenched his jaw as the words left her mouth and he looked to the door before looking back to her; blue eyes ablaze.
“I am not some ignorant child Y/n. I may not be human, but I assure you I have a firm grasp on the nonsensical emotions you all seem to share!” His hand was raised and pointed at the door as if referencing the Winchesters just a step outside. She laughed dryly and with venom in her lips, she marched at him and got right in his face as he straightened up and met her gaze with a passion.
“You’re not a child Castiel, that much is true, but you’d be a fucking liar to say you weren’t ignorant.” She spat the last few words, and Cas felt each one strike him like a knife to the chest. She went to walk past him and out the door but she was stopped by his hand grabbing hers. She went to pull away when her eyes found his face. His blue eyes were fogged with tears and his brows were knitted together in what could only be pain. Her entire mood changed at the drop of a hat as she took in the look on his face. His messy hair was falling in his face from the heated fight just a few moments ago, and his chest was shaking from ragged breaths.
“Please…” He choked as Y/n stopped moving, “I Can’t do this….. Not with you…” His once strong and dominant voice was nothing more than a whisper now as a lone tear made its way down his cheek. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. The angelic beast once proud of his inability to feel, was forced into experiencing the most human of emotions.
Fear.
Y/n let her guard down and let a sob slip past her lips. Castiel looked up at her with a look of confusion, but relief all the same. She gave a hard tug on his arm and brought his body crashing into hers. Castiel deflated and let her hold him. He felt himself give into her completely as they fell to the floor in a mix of limbs and tears.
I Think I Figured Out How
How To Let You Go And Let Communication Die Out
“It’s a shame. Of all the ways for our father to dismantle this planet, he chooses earthquakes and fire from the heavens.” Castiel spun around, his shoes sending a groan through the gravel he was standing in, his angel blade dropping from his sleeve like an extension of his arm. “Well, nice to see you haven't changed brother.” The words left the girls mouth as Castiel sighed and lowered his weapon.
“Iaoth.” He breathed, “You caught me off guard.” The seraphim stiffened up upon seeing his sibling.
“I’m surprised to see you alone.” She remarked as she brushed a bit of soot off her shoulder, “I’ve been told you’re very fond of humans. Seeing that you threw away heaven and all of us for them.” Her mouth was smiling but her eyes shot daggers, Castiel glared at his sister with a deep anger. Her emerald eyes darted around the torn and beaten landscape, “So after all this time, we finally get to see our mighty fathers breaking point…” Her hand reached to a decaying flower sprouting from the ground. Castiel watched her intently, his grip on the silver angel blade never wavering. She picked the rotting plant from the ground and crushed it in her hand. “His breaking point was his biggest mistake.”
“Why are you here Iaoth?” Castiel spat, his jaw clenched and eyes ablaze. She laughed at his demeanor and wiped her hands on her suit jacket.
“I could ask you the same thing ‘Oh Fallen One’.” She turned from his gaze to look upon the fire filled skies. “Heaven, as you know, is very much in shambles. You and I are some of the only ones left alive. Naomi is having a party up there with what's left.” She looked to Castiel, her teeth barred in a sinister smile. Cas took a step to his left, circling her as she moved the opposite direction. “It’s so sad to see you like this brother.” Castiel could hear her wings ruffling, as if she was preparing to take flight; or fight. “I can almost smell her human vile on you.” Her wings extended to their full length, the lights from the sky illuminating the silken feathers. Cas felt a primal fear alight in his gut, this wasn’t the first sibling of his to try and kill him since this all began. So many seemed to blame him for the way things were coming to an end. His vessels hands were drenched in the blood of his fallen brothers and sisters, and his angelic form was scarred from the ending of his own kind. Iaoth’s words stuck Castiel to his very core as he allowed the human Iaoth spoke of to take shape in his mind; a misty form reaching out to him in the midst of chaos.
I Know, You Know, We Know
“The whole of the heavens is ending, your celestial home, where you were created and raised, and yet your mind is lingering on the vile mistake that is human kind?!” Iaoth’s words were strong and soaked in rage as she squared up the much smaller Castiel before her.
“Iaoth. I don’t want to fight you.” Castiel spoke, his deep voice unwavering. The woman's laughter flooded the air like a bolt of lightning,
“You really think you have a choice?!” She spat. “Look at you! A broken and grace stripped seraphim! You don’t stand a chance against me or my TRUE brethren.” Her wings were now fully visible. All six of the deep grey spans filled the air like dark clouds, and Castiel let his heart drop as he considered the condition his own wings were in. Iaoth laughed again as Cas allowed his own wings to spread out, the once proud black feathers holding more gaps than anything else, and scarred flesh beneath them. “All that…” Iaoth spat, “For humans. You must be so proud…” Her words dripped with sarcasm as she lunged at the fallen angel before her.
You Weren't Down For Forever And It’s Fine
The motel room was dusty and old, large pieces of dust hanging in the air were seen best around the yellow lamp light, setting a almost frozen in time feel about the place. Castiel looked ahead of him through drooping lashes as the frame at the foot of the bed unbuttoned the last of the flannel shirt that hid her form. The yellow light illuminated every inch of skin as she made her way up from the foot of the bed to mere inches from the angel's face. He could feel her breath fan over his face as she moved his hands to rest on her hips. He exhaled shakily as he closed his eyes, his fingers digging into the flesh of her hips. His own name filled his ears like a breathy sigh as he shot his blue eyes open to meet her e/c ones.
“Do you want to do this?” She asked, her voice barely above a whisper. He could see in her eyes that she was genuinely asking him, out of fear of frightening him away. He gave a smile and brought his face closer to hers, his lips ghosting over hers. She held back a low moan as he rested his forehead against hers, their noses brushing.
“More than anything.” In an instant their lips crashed together, moans and staggered breaths filling the air of the motel room. Y/n straddled Castiel’s lap atop the bed and worked his white dress shirt off his torso. Cas brought his hands to her hips and brought her roughly down against his heating core. She let out a gasp and broke the kiss. With a smirk she reached for the bedside lamp and wrapped her fingers around the switch. Castiel grabbed her wrist and held her back from snuffing the light. She looked to him with confused eyes, only to be met by rough lips against her own. The stubble around his own face dragged down her neck as she let her hand drop from the light.
“Want to see you…” He growled as he pressed more kisses to her neck. With a smile she brought his eyes back to meet her own.
“Then let's get started.”
I Know, You Know, We Know
We Weren't Meant For Each Other And It’s Fine
Iaoth spit a mouthful of blood to the cracked and dry earth as Castiel stood above her, his hand wrapped firmly in her hair bringing her gaze to his own blood splattered form. She laughed through red stained teeth and took a shallow breath,
“You pack quite the punch little brother.” Castiel brought the butt end of his angle blade down on her swollen face a few more times, the sick crack of bone filling the hot air.
“I’m not going to sit here, Iaoth, and watch you die but you should know that it’s out of pity,” He brought his face closer to hers in order to whisper the final statement, “And not because I consider you anything close to family.” He released her hair from his fist and let her fall to the ground. His hands were red with the paint of war as he wiped them clean on his coat and began staggering away. Iaoth was on the ground on her back, sputtering blood as she cackled at seemingly nothing. Cas ignored the sound and kept walking, finished with the mere thought of her.
“She’s-- She’s going to die alone. On this forsaken slab of creation. Thinking of why you didn’t save her…”
Castiel froze. His eyes were wide as he turned his head to the side, taking in the sickly form of his dying sister. “That human girl you bonded with like an animal,” Her words were choked, “The word back home is that Naomi is offering safe passage to a parallel world to the one who brings him her filthy head.”
“SHUT UP!” Castiel boomed, bringing his boot in contact with Iaoth’s jaw and sending her reeling to the ground. More broken laughter left the dying angels mouth as Castiel breathed heavy, his shoulders rising and falling in a dramatic manner. He stood over her, his eyes ablaze by her words,
“That hunter whore is going to die drowning in her own blood and her filthy body is going to burn with the rest of this world.” That was the straw that broke the camel's back, with a deep guttural scream Castiel drove the shimmering blade in his hand through Iaoth’s chest. Her own scream ripped through the skies as her eyes and mouth broke forth with a bright glow, a small reminder of the grace that once filled her.
Once the screams died down, the dark haired angel stood from the lifeless body beneath him. He looked to the burned imprint of her wings upon the ground and wiped a spot of blood from his own face. His mind was reeling, wondering if what Iaoth said had been true. If there really was a price on Y/n’s head, as some sort of sick joke by Naomi’s hands, he had to find a way to get to her.
To warn her.
He wasn’t even sure if she’d want his help at all…
But If The World Was Ending You’d Come Over Right?
Dean placed a hand on Y/n’s back as he helped her stumble to the car. His eyes were laced with concern as Sam opened the back door for her, worry upon his features as well.
“Guys, I’m really fine.” She slurred, her head spinning from blood loss. “You don’t need to panic…” Her knees gave out as Sam jumped forward and helped Dean catch her. She chuckled a bit at her own expense and allowed the boy’s to help her into the back seat. Sam looked to Dean and they both decoded that he would ride in the back with her.
“Hey Y/n. Keep those eyes open.” Sam cooed as he brushed the side of her face. She smiled at him and scrunched her nose.
“Trust me Sammy, I’m not dying in the back of this car. That’s nor nearly exciting enough for me.” Sam laughed at her blind optimism and met Dean's eyes in the rear view mirror.
“You die in the back of my car, and I’ll kill you.”Dean joked, taking a glance behind him at her ever shrinking form. Sam felt her squeeze his hand and looked to her now closing eyes.
“Hey!” He shouted, “No, no,no,no, don’t go to sleep Y/n.” He shifted so his hands were holding her face. “Goddammit don’t go to sleep.”
Dean began to panic in the driver's seat as the sounds of Sam’s protests filled his ears.
“Dammit Sammy, don't let her sleep!”
“I’m trying!” Was the angry response. Y/n shifted in Sam’s grasp as she forced out a few more words.
“You guys are such idiots…” Her eyes drifted closed.
You’d Come Over And You’d Stay The Night?
Castiel practically flew down the stairs as the Winchesters came into view. His eyes were wild as he searched the room for any sign of loss or pain. Sam smiled at him and took a step forward.
“Hey, easy buddy.” He placed his hands on Cas’ shoulder and held him steady. Cas looked to Dean who pursed his lips, cocked his brow, and gestured to the chair Sam’s body was blocked from his view. Cas moved from Sam’s hold and froze upon meeting the gaze of Y/n, wrapped in one of Dean’s hoodies, and face littered with stitches and bandages; but still smiling.
“I lived bitch.” She spoke in a horse voice. Dean laughed out loud at her statement and sat down beside her, nursing a half empty beer. Sam sighed and ran a hand through his hair,
“Wow that was so sensitive, considering he thought you were actually dead.” Y/n shrugged and felt tears brim her eyes as Cas raced to her. He pulled the chair around and knelt down at her feet, taking her hands in his.
“I - I really thought I lost you.” He looked up at her with big blue eyes, also brimming with tears. Dean shifted away just slightly, a look of fake disgust on his face from the romantic display. “If you ever do anything like that ever again-”
“Oh, I guarantee you I will.” Y/n cut him off, “But we’ll be a bit more careful next time.”
Would You Love Me For The Hell Of It?
All Our Fears Would Be Irrelevant.
“I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way about anyone before.” The words sailed off with the breeze as Y/n scratched an itch on her face. She glanced to the angle beside her, his body leaning against the tan car behind him. His trench coat was wrapped around Y/n’s shoulders, and she noted how utter naked he looked without it. “Sorry if that's too forward.”
Castiel looked out at the sunset and sighed, his eyes soon traveled to the human beside him, wrapped in his essence. “Y/n…” He began. She looked to him with hopeful eyes.
“In all my eons of existence, watching civilizations rise and fall, watching your kind like a child watches a bee in the garden…” He looked to her, “I’ve never seen a more perfect example of the wonders my father is capable of making…” His hand wove together with her’s.
“... Then you…”
If The World Was Ending You’d Come Over Right?
The sky let forth a loud cry as the earth beneath Castiel's feet shook. He looked skyward and took witness as large chunks of flaming stone began falling from the heavens. He watched in the distance as the stone crashed to the ground and set a sick crack through the air. He watched as the sky began falling to the ground, and he was helpless to stop it. He swallowed hard as the soft sound of ringing filled his ears, and he reached for the almost forgotten phone in his inner pocket.
“Dean?” His voice bellowed over the sound of earth breaking all around him.
“Hey Cas! You seeing this?! Where the hell are you two man?! Me and Sam are dying over here!”
Castiel furrowed his brow and shielded his eyes as dirt few up all around him.
“Dean? I’m in Montana! Are you two still at the bunker?” His voice met Dean’s ears like a long lost prayer and the hunter sighed.
“Yeah! How is Y/n?” Cas froze, his face scrunched up in confusion.
“What do you mean? I thought she was with you?!”
“Why the hell would she be with us?! Isn’t she your soulmate or whatever?”
Castiel felt his heart drop.
The Sky'd Be Falling And I'd Hold You Tight
And There Wouldn't Be A Reason Why
“I wasn’t supposed to tell you…” Jack mumbled from his seat at the dinner table. Y/n felt a lump grow in her throat as she forced back tears.
“Don’t worry Jack, sweetheart…” She looked to the ceiling as she viciously fought her tears.
“Castiel, he didn’t want to. But it was the only way. It seems selfish, but it’s not. He saved so many. I really wasn’t supposed to tell anyone. He made me promise…” Jack let his head fall to the table, his mind not at unease.
“I would have found out sooner or later.”
We Would Even Have To Say Goodbye
“You are the biggest idiot I’ve ever met.” Y/n spat as she slammed the car door, the force shaking the whole vehicle. Castiel didn’t even flinch as he watched her walk from the parked car to the small lakefront just beyond the car. He felt his heart ache as she sat on a small bench and placed her head in her hands.
“I know…” He whispered to the empty car.
If The World Was Ending You’d Come Over Right?
“The Empty will take you.” She sobbed as she looked to the water in front of her. Castiel stood behind her, his own eyes filling with tears. “Take you the next time you feel joy.” She laughed, a last stitch effort to mask her pain. “How- How the fuck am I supposed to live with that?” She spun around to look at him, and he saw first hand just how much pain he had caused her.
Right?
“But that was months ago Castiel.” He tried to take a step towards her but she stood.
“Months ago! And you're still here!” She let a few sobs rack her chest as she looked down, tears falling like rain.
“Y/n…”
“So… Since that day when you sold yourself over. Everything we’ve done. All the moments we had, that filled me with an immeasurable amount of love and joy… You’re still here. So...” She looked at him, her pain turning to hurt, turning to anger.
“You're not happy?”
If The World Was Ending You’d Come Over Right?
Castiel held the phone to his ear, his mind blank.
“Cas?!” Dean shouted on the other line, “Cas?!”
Right?

Twin Snowflakes pt16:Royal Court
Flynt:Well look who it is!? Wasn’t expecting to be sent back to the past like this.
Veronica:Nice to see you too Mr. Smooth Criminal.
Flynt:I see your mom gave you her wittiness too.
Veronica:Hardly. If you hear me crack a pun then check to see if I have the flu or something.
Flynt:I meant Blake.
Veronica:Oh…not, not sure how I should take that.
Flynt:Don’t think about it too much. So you’re here to help set everything up? Well we sure don’t mind all the extra hands; more helpers mean more time for everyone to rest. Unless you’re a crazy person who doesn’t know how to rest.
Nick:Gee I didn’t realize Atlas became Shade. Always picking on me for the little things.
Flynt:All in good fun. Well Veronica, glad to have you. I won’t lie to you and say our school holds the most welcoming environment despite their reasons for being here, so don’t hesitate to come get me if anything serious happens.
Veronica:Thanks for the offer but I know how to handle myself and a few close minded simpletons.
Flynt:Somehow I have no doubt about that.
He grabbed a pin that said committee on his desk and put it on her shirt. Veronica bowed slightly before taking her leave. It was always interesting for Nick seeing the girl be so polite. The way she could flip between her manners with anyone so fast was always something she was good at. He once saw her go from shaking a man’s hand to punching them in the face in the blink of an eye.
Flynt:Is your sister here today?
Nick:I’ll hunt her down if she isn’t, why?
Flynt:Only asking. I know I tell you to let others handle their own workload but I advise you to keep an eye on Veronica just in case.
Nick:Trust me, Veronica might have a temper but she typically thinks things through; the school won’t get a bad-
Flynt:I don’t care about this place’s reputations, or my position for that matter. Your friend just looks like she’s nearing the end of her rope.
Nick:Really? What gives you that vibe?
Flynt:When you partner up with a cat faunus, you learn a thing or two. As far as tails go, it usually isn't good when they’re wrapped around the waist and all tense; almost like she’s hugging or bracing herself.
Nick:When does Neon do it.
Flynt:When she’s being defensive. Keep in mind I could be entirely wrong in Veronica’s case though. Just something to be aware of.
Nick:Hmm interesting. Thanks for the heads up.
Nicholas gave his principal a wave before heading out, his words taken to heart. ‘Maybe Yang was right to worry?’ He chewed on his bottom lip as he slowly caught up to the girl. ‘Right or wrong, getting her to eat couldn’t hurt.’
Nick:You know I think breakfast is still being served. I’m pretty hungry after looking for you and I bet running on rooftops made you peckish. Wanna grab a bite really quick? The school’s chicken bisc-
Veronica:Not interested, sorry. I would rather find where I’ll be working.
Nick: ‘Too direct’ Lunch isn’t for awhile. Working on an empty stomach-
Veronica stopped and opened her bag. Nick looked in it and saw several fruits and what was probably protein bars. He’d be impressed if prior knowledge didn’t make this seem like a yellow flag at best.
Veronica zipped back up her bag and continued walking, now a little faster. Her focus was derailed by Nick grabbing her wrist and making her jolt, spooking both of them. He didn’t comment on it and started guiding her down a different hallway.
Nick:You’re walking as if you know where to go. For future reference, wooden doors are regular classes and school stuff. Metal doors are combat related. You’ll work in the student council room; the creative arts hallway is to the right of it. They have plenty of time between classes for you to get whatever you need.
Veronica:Alright, easy enough to remember.
Nick:Fill free to explore the school if you want but don’t interrupt any classes and a lunch monitor will probably get on you if you go in there during different blocks.Summer has lunch at noon.
Veronica:And why would that matter to me?
Nick:So you don’t bump into her on accident, or if you need her for whatever reason. Do not, and I repeat, do not give her a hard time. She already hates school enough.
Veronica:Relax, I’ll play nice. Don’t expect me to sit with her at lunch or anything. That lunch room is probably loud as hell.
Nick:Summer eats on the roof, or the nurses office. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen her at a lunch table. Then again, I don’t spend a lot of time there either.
For some reason that was interesting to learn. Veronica was sure those two would have taken the time to eat with each other or be around peers; even if it was for show. Nick seemed like he’d use lunch for studying so she guessed it wasn’t that surprising. ‘Knowing Summer she would go there if you did.’ Veronica thought.
They finally reached the committee room. Nick grabbed the door knob but didn’t get the chance to twist it before it already swung open with Eliza on the other side.
Eliza:I swear if this boiler room doesn’t get its shit togeth-
Nick:....Uh, hey. Busy morning?
Eliza:You would know if you got here early like the president this school believes you to be!
Nick:One, I’m usually here thirty minutes prior so dont come at me. Two, a hello would be nice. Finally, the boiler room messing up again?
Eliza:One, hello. Two, I’m here an hour early, three, yes it’s taking too long to warm certain things if at all. Finally, where’s the person who knows how to fix it?
Nick:Haven’t seen Valerie and you definitely know I haven’t seen Winchester, that’s your headache.
Eliza:Ugh, I guess I’ll cheat and warm it up myself.
Nick:Don’t blow us up…
Eliza:Shut up, unlike you I’m cautious. Might’ve come in handy against that Paladin.
Nick:Like you would’ve said yes if I asked.
Eliza:Who knows? If you got on your knees I might’ve said yes instantly. Guess we’ll never know; why aren’t you in home room ?
Nick:Last time I checked, you want to be kept in the loop from now on. We have another person helping starting today.
Eliza directed her attention to Veronica and looked her up and down before looking at Nick annoyed.
Nick:Problem?
Eliza:Yeah, I would’ve called a short meeting if I had known earlier. Being kept in the loop doesn’t mean telling me something last second.
Veronica:This was a last second decision. Lucky me because I hate meetings. I’m-
Eliza:I know who you are Veronica Belladonna; I’ve read about you quite a bit actually. Quite a shame your work doesn’t have much to show for it.
Veronica:I could say the same thing about your tournament rankings. Third place gets such a tiny font in the papers.
Eliza:Hmph, kitty has claws alright. Looking forward to seeing what you contribute. Nick looks confident in you so I’m sure it’ll be fruitful. There’s a list of things that need to be done inside the room already. Don’t hesitate to make my life easier.
Eliza shot Nick a cold look as she walked out slowly. Nick couldn’t help but notice the girls slightly sluggish movements.
Veronica:I don’t like her.
Nick:You don’t like most people so what’s new? Eliza is a hard ass but she’s a good person. Definitely reliable, so don’t piss her off. She’s already gunning for me at the tournament and I don’t need anger behind her hits.
Veronica:This list of people I have to be chummy with is getting too long for my taste.
Nick:Vee, I’ve only named three people. Three good people at that. Well...two and a half. Anyways I gotta get to class so you’re on your own for now.
Veronica:Have fun with that. Don’t be surprised if I’m running this entire place by the end of the day.
Nick:That would mean dethroning me, a tall order.
Veronica:Who says we can’t rule together? You know, as king and queen?
A blush spread across his face before he heard Veronica chuckle, only making him redder. Nick turned away in embarrassment and headed to class. It never took much to get him flustered. Veronica felt a little bad; it was something his classmates probably didn’t know.
‘Try all you want Nick,I won’t let you keep your cool.’ Veronica thought, still chuckling to herself. She would’ve continued to do so if the bell didn’t snap her out of it and hurt her ears. “That’s gonna take some getting used to.
Vee went ahead inside the student council room. It was surprisingly spacious and barren. Mostly tables lined around it and a giant blackboard filled with words. Papers were spread around the desks. ‘Wow, disorganized much?’ She took a deep whiff of all the different scents in the room, recognizing a few.
Her eyes scanned the desks. ‘Nick, Valerie, Eliza, even Summer, and several more.’ One paper caught her nose in particular. ‘It wouldn’t be unusual for all the members to have held the list. So...this one?’ She picked up a thin stack that was stapled together. Bingo, the nose always knows.
Venue, light arrangement, stage size, schedule events, all of it was laid out in detail; even down to the estimated budget. One page was a map of the layout which really helped? But something was off. All of this might’ve been planned out it seemed...conceptual. Scatterbrained even. Like all the thoughts were together but going in different directions at the same time.
‘The room isn’t the only thing disorganized it looks like. This list is like a buffet when it should be a potluck. Divide the work, make sure there’s no repeats or clashing themes. If the fights are the main course…’ Veronica took a seat and grabbed a pencil along with fresh paper. ‘Then let’s make sure to give the people plenty of complimenting sides and palate cleanser.’

“That's all you can do! Talk about slow!” Valerie shouted with gusto, her hands juggling her tomahawks in the middle of the arena ring.
“Shut up!” Cried her sword wielding opponent. They charged forward with their sword at the ready.
Valerie made no attempt to stop her juggling. Her eyes pierced right into her foe’s as they prepared for a thrust. Valerie shook her head in disappointment. “Sloppy”
The words reached the student and a dark blue glow washed over them. Suddenly their muscles felt heavy, air felt stingy, and their balance was off. The steel sword tipped too far forward and made them stumble, their body stopping at the perfect distance to receive a powerful roundhouse kick to the face that sent them flying out of the ring.
A buzzer rang right after and Valerie finally let her weapons hit the ground as she walked to the edge to see Harriet helping the dazed student.
Valerie:Their jaw okay?
Harriet:If you have to ask then that means you knew you were being too rough. You get a B- Valerie. Please remember restraint. Your semblance and strength can really hurt someone.
Valerie:Sorry…
Harriet:Don’t be sorry, be careful.
That was a line Valerie was familiar with. She watched Harriet help the student to their feet and guided them to the changing room before turning to the rest of the class.
Harriet:Well then, I say that’s enough for practical fights. Unless we have any volunteers, Summer?
Summer: Y-Yes!? I mean no! No, I’m fine. Training is all...covered and stuff.
Harriet:Fine then. Okay everyone knows the drill. Five laps around the track and then you are free from my charming voice. *claps hands* hop to it!
A collective groan came from the class before they started walking to the door. Summer waited for others to be ahead of her like usual and waited for Valerie to catch up.
Valerie:Enjoy the show?
Summer:Eh, felt like a rerun of most of your matches.
Valerie:What can I say? Being this good means I’m always a safe bet princess.
Summer:You won’t be if you call me that again.
Valerie:Ooo feisty today.
Harriet:You’re one to talk. *folds arms* Valerie, thirteen laps for you.
Valerie:What!? But I hate cardio!
Harriet:Good, I’m sure whatever aggression you have will burnout; Summer you have seven. A warning for all your absences.
Summer:Fair, but literally the day after? We’re still sore.
Harriet:Physically or mentally? Just kidding, I know it’s both. Now go before I add more laps.
Summer and Valerie:Yes ma’am…*runs off*
Harriet:Teenagers…
Valerie:Man this sucks! So I hit a little harder than I meant to, so what?
Summer:You’re gonna run out of breath before you start your laps.
Valerie:Maybe then I won’t overlap you.
Summer:Please, you’d need time dilation to do that with your speed. I’ll call you if I need to move some furniture, you lumberjack.
Valerie:Ouch, feisty. Wake up on the wrong side of the bed?
Summer:No, but obviously you did. Seeing you in my bus seat this morning was pretty unexpected.
Valerie:Too sore to swallow. I figured-
Summer:That you wanted distance from Nick?
A pit in Valerie’s stomach dropped like a weight. She looked towards Summer to see neutral eyes examine her in great detail. She wondered what exactly it was that Summer was looking at. Color, sweat, hidden guilt, or fear?
Summer:Did you tell him about the bus? Actually, not fair, I don’t wanna know that. What I should be asking is...no, not that either. Sorry, I probably sound like I’m spouting craziness. What I’m getting at is I’m upset too, about my performance during the exam.
Valerie:You tr-
Summer:I swear if you say I tried my best then I’ll scream.
Valerie:....Sorry. You’re wrong though, about me being upset. Frankly I don’t know exactly what I’m feeling. Anxious, embarrassed maybe? I just know I don’t really want to deal with Nick right now. Nothing personal, honestly.
Summer:No offense but it’s entirely personal. I’m not gonna blame you for wanting alone time. Nick and his overwhelming nature is...overwhelming. Always butting in, worrying about everyone but himself and-
Valerie:Being absolutely sweet? It’s all out of kindness; which I don’t necessarily know if it makes it better. I think it does anyways.
Her eyes seemed to drift off thinking about it. He really was always there for anything. Good or bad, Valerie would see the idiot next to her. It was genuinely comforting, and scary. Scary for reasons that for the life of her, she couldn’t figure out.
She was thankful when Summer touched her arm and dispelled the mix of conflicting emotions. Val shook her head and cleared her throat.
Valerie:Enough about Nick! Let’s talk about something more progressive, like how to delete a video the entire school has seen.
Summer:No amount of money or power will erase it. Eliza really screwed us on this one.
Valerie:Wait, what!?
Summer:She’s the one who recorded the quality video. Not out of malice or anything but-
Valerie:I’m gonna fight her…
Summer:Ignoring me? That’s cool too.
Valerie:Oh I heard you, still pissed!
Summer:What happened to not being pissed?
Valerie:Okay, so I’m a little pissed. Ugh! Of all people. I hope she makes it far in the tournament. I don’t think I can take any more nosy people.
Summer:(Should I mention Veronica?)
Valerie:*cracking knuckles* I’m fired up now!
Summer:(Nope) Cool, start running then. Think of it as a head start.
Valerie:Fine, but if I finish my laps before you then I think that’s worth some sort of prize. Let’s say...a movie, just the two of us?
Summer:Hmmm, no deal. I sort of have this thing where I don’t go on dates with my brother’s crushes.
Valerie:We don’t have to call it a date. It would be two friends hanging out like buds.
Summer:.....
Valerie:Yeah, I didn’t believe myself either. Come on, what’s wrong with one simple date?
Summer:Nothing, if it were simple. One of these days you’ll figure it out.
Valerie:Figure what out?
Summer:Finish your laps first and I might tell you, if you beat me that is.
Valerie:You’re on!
Summer makes no effort to start running as Valerie takes off with renewed determination. No doubt it will carry her for at least three laps. Win or lose, Summer planned to keep her mouth shut. There were certain things that should be learned in time, instead of told outright. She had faith in Valerie.
Either way it would take time, almost like a cheesy romance novel. Slow burns never interested Summer. There was always a person who crossed a line. Good thing Nick and Valerie were way too smart to do anything that would endanger their friendship, right?
xxxx
Time seemed to be moving at a snail's pace today. At least it was for Veronica anyways. There was a small stack of paper near her now. Each one filled with edits that reorganized all the organized chaos from the council. ‘I hate to admit it, but this Eliza check really puts in work. They all do in some way; Valerie might look dense and lazy but I shouldn’t be surprised that she can handle work. Can’t say much for her creativity though. Still, Nick seems to stand above it all. Just like him to try without showing it. Tiny notes that build upon the others.’
Veronica grabbed the next sheet of paper and kept her pace. This was far easier than designing clothes. It was almost therapeutic in a way. The only thing that was distracting her from her growing agitation. Snacks, all gone. Hunger? So intense that it hurt everywhere. Bones, eyes, nerves, all of it. She wasn’t used to this pain, and she doubted she ever would be.
Calmly she felt her stomach grumble against her nails; which threatened to sharpen. It wouldn’t surprise her if her eyes looked more cat like right now. A wiser Veronica would’ve binged at a buffet before visiting Atlas. She could usually go longer without caving; maybe it was the boat ride? Veronica knew for a fact any instinctual push could potentially set her off. Too late for regrets. No way would she let people see her go feral. Not when they were already talking…
“Did you see that girl with Nick today? Haven’t seen her before.” Said someone in the hall. “You think that girl is rich or something? A girl said in a classroom. “Ha! How rich could a faunus get!?”
The chatter kept coming from every direction.
“That girl is pretty smoking.”
“Jungle fever much?”
“You know what they say about faunus girls.”
“Probably a charity project.”
“Never seen ears and a tail at once.”
“I think she’s ugly honestly”
“Pretty, for a faunus.”
“I think she’s a halfbreed.”
“Freak….”
Her pencil snapped. She basically shattered it to gain some sort of control, ignoring the splinters yet accepting the pain in full force as she kept her fist clenched tight. Veronica wished folding her ears down could be enough, that if she covered them tight she could finally get some quiet; that would be wishful thinking. Tactics like those never worked.
‘Different place, same people. So do what you were told Veronica.’ She told herself. A deep breath in, then out. Letting her eyes close and focus on the only thing that mattered. Herself. Her thoughts and opinions; long flowing hair, sun tanned skin, ears, tail, blood…
All little things that made her up she thought were just fine; not perfect, but not flawed either. They were simply her and that was glorious. As long as she believed that, as long as the people who mattered believed it, then who gives a fuck about what’s said outside?
“Hey princess, come to grace us with your presence?” Veronica heard, from what could possibly be the fakest happy voice in existence. accompanied by the frailest one she’s heard all her life.
xxxx
Summer:Ple-please le-leave-ah!
An arm brushes pass her head and slams into a locker directly behind her. Summer clenches her belongings close to her chest and stares up into the taller girl's brown eyes. Dark brown hair and brown skin really made her stand our. No doubt a cheerleader or head of a club. Combat school or not, beauty was the law of the land to an extent.
A small crowd started forming around them in curiosity because of the noise.
Jordan:What, Princess? Am I not worth your time? I just wanna catch up.
Summer:You’re...causing a scene.
Jordan:That a problem? Don’t you like all that attention and limelight; the personal benefits that somehow let you float above it all?
The girl put her fingers through Summer’s hair. Her eyes drilling into the girl with obvious hostile intent.
Jordan:You know, I’m getting really sick and tired of being overshadowed by someone who never lifts a finger. I miss a day and there’s hell to pay. You miss weeks before and yet your grades stay the same. What, got that fine brother of yours bending over backwards?
Summer:What? No I-
Jordan:I was really hoping you’d get what was coming to you yesterday but of course not. I will say it is hilarious letting people see how frail and useless you are. Maybe if you spent more time eating a sandwich instead of trying to do something with that useless voice of yours…
That insult hit a special spot.
Jordan:Then maybe you wouldn’t be such a lightweight. At least you finally know how to dress yourself. A blow to the head must’ve knocked some sense into you. Doesn’t change the fact you still have all those hideous scars. I bet your fans would love to see-
It was sudden, almost instantaneous. The girl had gone from trash talking one minute, then to holding her wrist right after a loud smack from another hand had invaded Summer and Jordan’s delightful conversation. Summer hadn’t even realized Veronica was watching, let alone standing next to her currently.
Murmurs started to grow louder as the students stared at this unfamiliar faunus that stood confidently, hands on her hips and a look that could kill. Veronica paid no attention to them or Summer for that matter. Instead she had her attention on the bully. A thin red whelp on the girl’s wrist made Veronica silently say “shit” to herself. Her nails must’ve grazed the skin; a genuine mistake.
She was already questioning why she showed up here in the first place. A fight was the last thing she needed or attention. So why intervene? Why prevent Summer from turning on the water works? Easy answer, basic people pissed her off
Veronica:Ever heard of personal space? I thought all Atlesians knew basic etiquette but apparently not.
Jordan:Umm who the hell are you supposed to be?
Veronica:It’s not polite to ask others their name without introducing yourself either, but I guess anyone would want to know the name of a person that threatens them. Then again, a school like this would be diligent in political topics.
Summer:You think the majority of kids here pay attention to the news or the bad part of history?
Veronica:I guess this is what passes for elite around here. How disappointing.
Jordan:Listen, apparently you don’t know things work around here new girl but I’m-
Veronica:Completely irrelevant to me, an afterthought when this is all over. I don’t know how popular you might be or who you might know. Keeping shooting your mouth off and this headache of mine isn’t going to go away. Find something more productive to do than play bully.
Jordan:Ha, so that’s what this is about!? Didn’t realize that good for nothing princess had any friends besides that idiot sports jockey.
Veronica:Please, I wouldn’t be this child’s friend even if she paid me. Her crying hurts my ears almost as much as your prissy voice.
‘Oooos’ came from the crowd of people. It didn’t matter what school you went to, kids craved this kind of back talk. Summer wasn’t sure how things suddenly got so hostile, but that jab at her irritated her.
Summer:Yeah well why would I ever want a friend like you?
Veronica:Crippling loneliness.
Summer:Oh, so I would have to be desperate? That sounds about right.
Veronica:Go jump in front of another robot arm or something, the big kids are talking. Or I’m talking, this chick is pouting.
Jordan:I will not be talked to like this! Not by some...some…
Veronica:Say it, call me anything that has to do with being a faunus and see how far it gets you.
Jordan:A flea bag like you doesn’t scare me you bitch.
Summer:Hey! D-
Jordan:Excuse you, why are you even talking still, or even here!? Do us all a favor and fucking disappear like the nothing you are. I mean honestly, why the hell are you even alive?
The crowd went absolutely silent, all eyes went on Summer. Her heartbeat felt like it nearly stopped entirely. Feeling small was something she was used to. Jordan hadn’t said anything Summer didn’t think of before and yet right now, in this moment, Summer felt like she had been shot right in the heart.
Why? Why couldn’t she say anything back? What made all these eyes so terrifying? The eyes that no doubt saw her on stage before where they didn’t mean a thing. The eyes that most likely laughed when they saw that stupid video. Summer could feel herself choking up and bit her lip.
‘Something, do something damnit! Anything is better than nothing!’ Her chest felt like fire and Jordan smiled as she knew what would happen next, only making Summer angrier. ‘Do anything but cry! Just-’
Her screaming thoughts were suddenly halted by the sting of Veronica flicking her arm. Her face showed severe annoyance at Summer.
Veronica:So what, you can fight with me all day but do nothing here? Could it be...you think I’m somehow beneath her!? The hell is up with that?
Jordan:The fact that you don’t realize that proves just how delusional-
Summer:Please, you’re way more insufferable Veronica. Jordan might as well be an ant with how basic she is- *covers mouth*
More “oooos” came from people chattering. That might’ve been the first time her classmates heard her say anything so...so rude. Jordan grit her teeth and clenched her first, definitely uncharted territory for Summer.
It might’ve been a good idea to leave, hell, maybe even apologize just to prevent further trouble, but the look Veronica gave her made it clear that wasn’t a choice. Not only wasn’t it smug, it pissed Summer off a little. Like hell she’d back down now!
Summer:I mean just look at her, all looks with no substance.
Veronica:I bet this bitch thinks she’s so smart. At least compared to you.
Summer:Hell no! I can sleep through half a test and still be ahead of her with her with how bad her grades are.
Veronica:Oh so she’s trying to get by on her looks? How pathetic.
Summer:Looks she bought too, or I should say her parents bought.
Jordan:Says who!?
Summer:You think no one would notice last year when you came back from spring break with a new nose? Or were you thinking everyone would focus on the boob job? Puberty doesn’t do all that in two weeks so you either found the gods, a ton of surgeons, or a godlike surgeon.
Jordan:*red* Like you’re one to talk about looks. Upset no amount of money could remove those hideous-
Veronica:So you admit to the surgery?
Jordan:Shut up bimbo!
Veronica:That sounds like hater talk.
Summer:Yeah at least Veronica is a natural beauty. I might wear a smidge of concealer but that’s nothing compared to you. Boring...
Veronica:You hate to see it, basic. Do you even fight? I don’t think I’ve ever read the name Jordan on any scoreboards. If pretty is your only trick then get a new one.
Jordan:Like someone like you is any better! Fighting or otherwise I bet I could-
“Lose.” A voice came from around the corner. Everyone turned their head to see Valerie still in her P.E. uniform and a little sweaty.
Her eyes focused on Veronica and immediately she was happy that running made her too tired to fight. That didn’t curve her attitude however, but it looked like that there was more than one annoying problem in this hallway.
Valerie:You’d lose Jordan. To me, to Summer, and most definitely Veronica Belladonna.
Veronica:Way to ruin my fun. I barely meet people stupid enough to be so racist to my face. It’s usually when they think I can’t hear them.
Multiple faces in the crowd looked a little uncomfortable after that statement.
Summer:Finish your laps finally?
Valerie:Hardy har. So, care to explain why not one but two insufferable bitches are causing a scene.
Veronica: “That bitch” you could at least calm me that instead of comparing me to that loser. Also shouldn’t you be showering, or home? You smell like the entire football team.
Valerie:Shouldn’t you be oceans away!? Why-
Veronica:*points to pin* Apparently the great kingdom of Atlas can’t organize events without spreading themselves too thin. I’m catching your slack. Nick is very grateful about it.
That sure ticked Valerie off. Maybe she wasn’t as tired as she thought. Veronica’s face was looking pretty punchable right now.
Valerie:Well good on you, being his little errand girl must make you feel like a winner huh?
Veronica:Keep talking shit and people won’t have to wait for a tournament to see you knocked on your ass.
Jordan:Umm-
“Shut up!” All three said sternly. Clearly Jordan had become nothing more than an afterthought. The crowd didn’t care who fought. Action was all that mattered.
Valerie wasn’t afraid to step up until her and Veronica were centimeters apart. Veronica showed no fear despite being the shorter girl. Giving into the impulse would be so easy right now. So...gratifying. Like an apex humbling what they saw as a beta. Veronica clenched her fist.
“HEY!” Another voice shouted, cutting through all the hostility of the hallway. The crowd split in half to show Eliza. Everyone could see embers and sparks twinkle around the girl, a clear sign she was ready to break up this altercation.
Eliza:Get.To.Class….or do you want to learn the difference between lightning dust and the real deal?
The crowd didn’t need to be told twice and scattered, even Jordan left. Valerie was given a dirty look that made her step away from Veronica while Summer found the nerve to the wall between Eliza and the other two.
Summer:Sorry! Things got out of hand because of me. I-
Eliza:I highly doubt that. Even if it’s true, our Vice President should learn how to keep the peace. And I expect a guest at our school to not cause any agitation in this already aggressive hornets nest.
Valerie:Pfft, she might as well be a baseball bat.
Veronica:I’ll swing a baseball bat upside your-
Eliza:Do you really want to keep arguing in front of me!? I swear if you three weren’t-ugh! Val, hit the showers. Summer if you aren’t going to lunch then I suggest you go over the numbers we need for the tournament.
Summer:I did that already.
Eliza:Yeah well I just went to our room and our guest has been reworking things so I would like our treasure to double check her work. It’s your money after all.
Summer:Alr-
Veronica:Ahem! aren’t you forgetting something?
Summer:...Right, I’ll get on that Eliza. Right after I get lunch, with milk.
Eliza:Ummm okay? As for you Ms. Belladonna… I’ll overlook this but remember Nick will be held somewhat accountable for everything you do. Good and bad, understand?
Veronica:..Crystal. And can you not call me that?
Eliza:As you wish. Now if you excuse me, I have practice to attend to.
As quickly as she showed up, Eliza left and took Valerie with her. Veronica let out a deep breath before turning to see Summer still standing around and looking right at her. All she could manage to do was give an awkward nod before heading to lunch. Obviously she wanted to say something but for some reason decided against it. A wise decision.
Veronica looked at the cuts in her own hands from clenching her fists to tight, her heart still pounding. Man, she really wanted a burger right now. Anything to sink her teeth in.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two weeks later-and still no closer to finding MichaelDean-Jack was searching the bunker for Sam or Cas. He was having a shit day and needed to talk to someone, but so far his search was turning up empty. In fact, it seemed like the whole bunker was empty. He had a bad feeling that they'd all taken off for hunts and left without telling him. Again.
He'd just turned down the hallway along the kitchen, heading back to his room to stew, when he saw movement out of the corner of his eye. His head jerked toward it and he saw someone, dressed in thick black leggings and a grey racerback tank top with a solid purple flannel button down on top, opening the door to the fridge. It was that strange blonde woman again, the one he'd seen in Sam's room weeks ago. Maybe she knew where he was?
Walking into the kitchen, he began, "Hello agai-"
"Ah!" The woman leapt about a foot in the air and whirled around to him, the fridge door slamming closed. When she saw it was just him, she placed a hand on her chest and sighed, "Damn, dude."
"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," He apologized. "George, right?" She nodded hesitantly and he asked, "Have you seen Sam or Castiel anywhere?"
George shrugged casually and said, "No, but I think I heard someone say Sam left last night on a rougarou run to Dunning?" More like, you know he's on a rougarou run in Dunning because you've refused to leave your room for the last few weeks if he's in the bunker. She'd successfully been able to avoid Sam since waking up in his bed. That had been dangerous territory, so she'd been taking extra precautions to avoid him, and most everyone else, since. Which made it somewhat difficult to try and track down Rowena, who, George noticed, had seemingly done nothing to try and track HER down so far. She was beyond ticked with her now.
"Oh," Jack looked crestfallen and slowly nodded his head, "Alright. Thanks."
When Jack turned to leavesee she couldn't help herself and called, "Hey, wait…" He turned back toward her reluctantly and she almost lost her nerve, you shouldn't be doing this, "Uhh… what can I do to help?" He frowned at her and she squirmed awkwardly, "Sorry, I realize you don't know me at all, but… you seem upset, so I had to ask."
He considered her for a minute and then sighed frustratedly, "Sam-and everyone else-just keeps… leaving without telling me and-"
"You keep getting left behind?" She asked sympathetically. When he gave her an annoyed look, she smiled a little, "Sorry. I was left out a lot growing up, so I know how frustrating it can feel."
Jack's shoulders slumped and he let out an annoyed huff, sitting down at the kitchen table. "Now that my powers are gone, they all treat me like a child. They don't think I can handle anything! I'm not useless, I can do things! I can hunt! Or, at least I can be taught how to hunt, but they're all too busy!"
George deep sighed empathetically and moved to sit across from him, "Jack, you're not useless... you are young, though. And that's not a bad thing! But it does mean that sometimes you aren't ready to do certain things, even when it feels like you are." The look on his face didn't change and she smirked, "I know that isn't what you want to hear. I'm sure you'll want to hear this even less, but I wish I'd had this advice when I was your age so here you go: take the opportunity to enjoy being young and carefree and protected, even when it feels frustrating. Because… trust me when I say that you're lucky to have it and it really won't last."
"How can I enjoy it when I'm so pissed all the time?" Jack whined defeatedly. He seemed amenable to her advice but didn't know where to start.
She chuckled and shrugged, "Well, when I was a lonely, angsty teen-no offense-I used music. And video games… and food," She finished with a jokingly regrettable tone. "I wouldn't take my advice on the food, though," with a small smile she patted her fluffy midsection and he smiled with her.
Jack was studying her for a minute before asking, "What kind of music?"
"Oh, only the most angsty teen pop music the early aughts could provide: Linkin Park, Good Charlotte, Evanescence, Avril Lavigne-not the singles, the albums."
"Dean discourages pop music."
"Shocking," George muttered with a chuckle.
"What?" He asked curiously.
She shook her head, "Nothing-er-OK, so maybe not music. Have you got any video games here?"
Jack shook his head, "No."
George smirked and asked, "Let me guess, Dean discourages those too?"
Jack nodded and said, "He says it's because they'll rot my brain, but I'm pretty sure he just doesn't know how to play them and feels intimidated."
George laughed, "Yea, I would say that was probably a guarantee. The last time in his life he'd have had the luxury to play them was probably Atari?" Jack gave her a funny look. How would she know? Noticing the look she said quickly, "I mean, I assume. He just has that super old guy vibe ya know?"
Jack accepted her explanation and asked, "What kind of video games did you play?"
"Lots of different kinds. My favorite is probably N64. Those games were the best. Resident Evil, Goldeneye, Donkey Kong, Banjo Kazooie! All were personal favorites."
"Are those games still around? Can you still play them?" Jack wondered.
"If you buy all the equipment, yea? You have to get them used, probably Ebay or Gamestop or whatever."
"Gamestop?" He asked excitedly. "I know that place! There's one in town not far from here! Would they have the video games you're talking about?"
George looked confused. Why did he sound so excited all of a sudden? "Er… maybe, but-"
"Let's go!"
"WHAT?! Absolutely not."
"Please! You said video games would be a good distraction!"
"Jack, are you kidding? If Sam and Dean found out I took you out of the bunker without your powers, they'd have to stand in line behind Castiel to strangle me!"
"Please!" He begged.
She tried to be logical, "I-I don't have any money."
"Dean gave me a credit card!"
Damn. Instead she reasoned, "How would we get there?"
"I know where they keep the keys to Baby?"
Her face fell instantly and she asked, "Do you genuinely want to see me dead, Jack? If so, there are far less painful ways to accomplish that."
"Can't you drive?"
"Yes, I can drive, but there is no way we are doing this-especially not in that car. I cannot stress enough how badly this would turn out. This is literally the start of every episode! And when the bad idea goes wrong? You end up kidnapped and I end up dead!... Or worse: Winchestered!" When he just looked at her, confused, she said simply, "Jack, I'm sorry, but it's really not a good idea for us to leave the bunker. I can't fight, like, at all. If we got into a hairy situation, I couldn't do anything to protect you!"
He ignored her and kept begging, "George, please! You said that I needed to appreciate the opportunity to be young and to enjoy my time stuck here, so! Help me! We can take someone else with us, someone who can protect us both?"
Frowning at the desperate expression on his young, naive, baby face, she started considering it. I mean, if we took someone with us who knew how to fight it couldn't be that bad of an idea right? We could be in and out! Suddenly, every episode of Supernatural flooded her brain at once and she winced, shaking her head, "I'm sorry, but no, Jack. There is no one here that I would trust to be able to protect you enough to agree to do this."
"What about me?" Both of their necks snapped toward the doorway and found Sam standing there with an amused smile on his gorgeous, bearded face.
Whoa. George's jaw dropped. If she'd known he'd been growing that, she wouldn't have been avoiding him so hard. She was definitely feeling some kinda way about that beard.
"Sam!" Jack said nervously. "We were ju-"
"Planning to sneak out the window past curfew and go buy video games?" Sam shook his head with a couple teasing tsks and George couldn't help but chuckle.
Jack frowned, looking over at her and then back to Sam, "No... there aren't any windows in the bunker? We were just going to take one of the cars from the garage and drive there."
"No. We weren't!" George stood up and pointed a finger at him adamantly, "We weren't going to do anything that involved leaving or driving Baby or risking your life in any way!"
"Well, whatever you were doing," Sam interjected calmly and firmly, taking a step into the room, "I actually don't think it's a bad idea."
Jack leapt up excitedly, "Really?!" George echoed his excited 'really' with a surprised one of her own.
"Yeah. I know these last few weeks have been hard on you and if it'll help relieve some of the frustration and boredom, then," Sam paused, mulling it over before nodding, "why not?"
"Thanks, Sam!" Jack looked at George with an excited expression and she couldn't help but smile nervously at him.
"You're welcome," Sam smiled kindly, then added, "But I need a shower first. Give me 30 minutes?"
Jack nodded happily and then scurried off to wait, Sam slapping a hand on his back gently as he exited. When Sam turned back to George, she looked nervous still.
With a gulp, she asked, "Thought you were in Dunning?" Damn if he didn't look hot with that beard.
"Another team got there first. Didn't need the help after all," He explained. "You been checking on me?" He asked curiously.
Her mouth dropped open and she sputtered out a quick and pointed, "No!" giving him an offended expression, though the blush was hard to miss. She found his face frustratingly unreadable. Worried that he might be annoyed about their scheming, she tried to relax a bit and cleared her throat, "Listen, I'm really sorry. I was just trying to cheer him up; I never expected him to get the idea to leave the bunker. And-and, I never would have-"
"It's OK, you don't have to explain," Sam assured her, "I heard you guys talking. I know it was him. He has a tendency to get an idea and run with it; it's exhausting sometimes," He chortled, rubbing a tired hand over his face and she smiled understandingly.
George had a realization and frowned, asking, "Er… exactly how long were you listening?"
"Hmm, I got here right around…" He closed one eye in mock contemplation and finished with a smirk, "Avril Lavigne?"
George rolled her eyes in embarrassment and said, "OK, hold on. Listen, I'm not saying the singles! The albums have good stuff, very different from what the record company tried to force her singles to be. You have to hear the album before you judge, Sam! And I was a teenager!"
He chuckled and held his hands up. Despite the grin on his face he managed a serious tone, "Hey, I'm no hater boi."
Pinching the bridge of her nose and closing her eyes tightly, she muttered, "Ugh, Christ."
She heard him practically giggle and then say, "I'm sure it's complicated."
"Cool. Well, I'm just going to go ahead and leave now," George said pointedly, glaring at him playfully. He laughed, watching her head for the exit. She paused at the doorway to pat him on the shoulder roughly, "Let you get ready for your Father-Son bonding time."
"Hold up, you're coming with us, right?" Sam asked, suddenly looking concerned.
George, who was out in the hallway by now, turned back with a surprised expression and shrugged, "No?"
Sam gave her a look of impatience, "How will we know what to get?"
"Uh… I can make you a list?"
"What if we can't find something?"
"Congratulations, you just discovered what sales associates are for!" She cracked, smirking at his impish questioning. He knew darn well that they did not need her to go.
Sam narrowed his eyes at her stubbornness and finally pointed out, "I think Jack would like you to come."
Suddenly her expression was dubious and she said, "I doubt that. He barely knows me, we just met. Or-sort of," She blushed suddenly remembering the reason she'd been avoiding Sam in the first place. The memory of waking up in his bed conjured up in her mindseye in an instant. With a swallow, she insisted, "He just needed an adult to take him to the store and you're here now, so-"
Sam cut her off gently, "Listen, I heard most of that conversation. You were connecting with him, George. Making him feel better, which I can tell you from experience is not easy to do. I could be wrong here, but I think this is something he would like to share with you." There was a nervous, maybe even panicked expression on her face and she didn't respond.
Sam took a few steps into the hallway to stand in front of her and smiled charmingly, admitting, "And, I would like it if you came, too."
She furrowed her brow at him suspiciously, her heart beating faster all of a sudden, "You would?"
Sam nodded, "Yea. Do you know how long I've been checking my corners for beautiful women?" When her jaw dropped satisfyingly, he looked at his watch and said, "So, thirty minutes, right? More like twenty five now, I better hurry!" then walked briskly away with a wink.
Blinking rapidly, she stood there staring dumbfounded into the now empty hallway. Since when was Sam Mr. Smooth with the lines around here?!
After being frozen in place for too long, she looked up at the ceiling again and said, "OK, seriously, if anyone is recording this, I'll give you whatever you want for a copy of that, too!"
Then, shaking herself out of her stupor she panicked. She's supposed to be staying away from these people, not joining them on outings! What was she thinking? This was such a bad idea.
George sat in her tiny room of requirement, mulling over her options.
Option one, "Don't Fuck Up the Timeline," was to make an excuse and stay behind, avoiding people at all costs from now on. No more making friends with the sad little half-angels! And certainly no more thinking about Sam's beard.
Option two, "Sam's Beard (working title)," was taking advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity by tagging along on this risky misadventure and enjoying herself.
On one hand she knew from watching shows exactly like this that screwing with a timeline could have disastrous results. But, on the other hand, it sounded like fun. And she'd been cooped up in this bunker for weeks! Plus, Sam said he wanted her to go. How could she say no to that bea-to him?
With a frustrated growl she launched herself up off the bed and stomped out of the room. She knew what she had to do.
George nervously walked up to Sam's bedroom door. You just have to tell him: you can't go. Period. Maybe Jack will be disappointed but… he'll get over it! You can't be messing around with the storylines; God knows what ramifications it could have! God knows what you've already fucked up by interacting with them! You have to stay away!
But… Did it kinda seem like Sam liked her…? Like, like-liked her. At the very least she was getting serious DTF vibes, and it was making her positively gooey. She definitely didn't remember him being so… forward on the show. Wasn't he the shy one? Either way, it was incredibly attractive. And with that damn beard? Her loins were on fire. She always knew he'd look amazing with some facial hair.
Ugh, stop it! You're being r.i.d.i.c.u.l.o.u.s. Sam Winchester. Does not. Like you! You have to keep your distance and wait for Rowena to send you back. You're risking messing with the entire fabric of the Supernatural universe and, in turn, your own! And you call yourself a fan, you should be ashamed. What is wrong with you?
Then again, you did wake up in his bed… The thought made her heart skip a beat and her head pound with frustration. As curious as she was, she knew it was dangerous territory to explore. With a deep, calming breath, she knocked herself on the forehead sharply a couple times before reaching up and knocking on his door next.
When it opened a few moments later, she was face to chest with the gorgeous giant, who was currently dressed in dark jeans and a grey, short-sleeved, v-neck undershirt. She guessed she'd interrupted him before he'd had a chance to throw on his trademark plaid on top. It was a disconcerting look, one she wasn't used to from him; almost like seeing him naked.
Oh, please don't go there.
Slowly, she looked up and her mouth went dry. His beautiful hair was still wet from the shower and slicked back out of his face. The scruffy beard was still there, too; praise Jesus.
When she met his eye, there was a happy, curious expression on his face. He reached a muscled arm up and looked at his watch, asking "Am I late? I'm almost rea-"
"Nono, no. You aren't late." Cutting him off gently, she shook her head, "I just came to give you this," she held out a piece of paper to him, which he took with a raised brow. "And to say that, as much as I'd like to, I can't go with you. It's just... safer that way," She finished vaguely.
"Safer?"
She nodded definitively, trying to sound firm without getting specific, "Yes, safer. Too many things could go wrong."
"At Gamestop?" He smirked suspiciously.
George narrowed her eyes and thought about it for a moment. Of course, she'd meant 'on Supernatural' but she obviously couldn't tell him that so she nodded slowly, "Right… at Gamestop. Sure… I mean, they'll let any riff raff in there."
Sam looked down at the list of video game supplies, amused yet confused. When he looked back at her face he said, half smiling, "OK… well, not to sound full-of-myself, but I think I can handle any potential 'riff raff'."
"I-I know, I know!" She placed a fingertip on either side of her forehead and squeezed. Good lord. OK, just stay focused. Do. Not. Go. "I have no doubt that you're very willing and able to handle things." She eyed his large arms appreciatively and then cleared her throat, "It's just… um, you just never know what could happen-especially here," his eyebrow furrowed curiously at the emphasis, "er-I mean, at Gamestop. And if-God forbid-anything did happen and my presence somehow… negatively affected things… like your ability to protect Jack-er, uh..." The curiously amused expression he was giving her was causing her to stumble. She took another deep breath and refocused: "This is supposed to be a fun experience for Jack, right? I just think it's important that that's the focus. That list is everything you'll need for him to get set up. If they don't have the games I listed," she pointed to the list in his hands and he looked down at it again, "there are plenty of others that I'm sure the workers can recommend."
Sam started to talk and she caved, cutting him off again, "And-and if this is really something he wanted me to be part of-which I'm still dubious about-then, I'll be here when you guys get back! I can help get him set up and show him a few of the games. I don't mind that, I... guess," She finished with a small gulp. She knew it was best to stay away completely but she had a feeling it was a little too late now. "I just don't think leaving the bunker is a good idea. For me. Please." She finally met his eye and pleaded a little, "Sam, if anything happened to him or to-to you, I could never forgive myself." And neither would hundreds of thousands of fans.
Sam's expression was half curious, half amused, and all charmed. He thought for a moment, looked back down at the list, and then nodded slowly. His smile was kind as he said, "OK. If you feel that strongly about it, then stay."
"Thank you." She let out a relieved sigh, then grimaced a bit.
"You OK?" Sam asked with a concerned half-smile.
"I just… I know staying back is the right thing, but I feel bad." She admitted with a small shrug. "Do you really think Jack is going to be disappointed?"
Sam's eyes softened and he shrugged softly before turning and walking back into his room. As he picked up a green and black checkered plaid shirt that was laying on his bed and put it on, he said, "I think so, a little bit, but I can handle it. Not to worry." As he buttoned the shirt, he slipped his feet into his giant shoes.
He'd been about to say something about his personal disappointment at her staying-something he'd hoped would make her jaw drop adorably once again. But her eyes were roving his room with a pensive expression and it caused him to pause. He raised an eyebrow, watching her. Something about her had seemed vaguely familiar since he first saw her in that hallway. Yet, he still couldn't place her, which bothered him; it was unusual for him not to remember a name with a face. He had a great memory.
Is she someone we helped on a hunt? Maybe she went to Stanford? Did we… have a fling at some point? Nothing was jogging his memory, but he felt strangely, intimately drawn to her.
"George, can I ask… Ha-have we met before?" Narrowing his eyes in thought he added, "Did you go to Stanford? Maybe we shared a class?"
George looked at him like he was crazy, "Uh… er… Uh, see, I'm not-" As she stuttered out a response, he kicked himself.
She's from Apocalypse World! Moron. Obviously, it wasn't possible that they'd met before.
"Oh, god, I'm sorry. What a stupid question." Sam shook his head, chuckling in embarrassment. "You just… you look familiar, so I was just trying to figure out the connection," He trailed off, staring at her curiously again.
"Oh?" Was all she could muster, squirming uncomfortably under his gaze. She was horribly embarrassed to admit even to herself that she felt a strong pull from him, too. Something about him put her at ease while simultaneously making her want to burst into a million happy pieces and cover the world in a confetti of her joy and love. Hell, something about being here at all eased all her normal feelings of depression and unrest so wonderfully, she'd hardly put that much effort into tracking Rowena down at all, not that she'd admit that to anyone. But, obviously, the only reason she felt like this was just the amazement, the adventure, the celebrity of it all, and especially him. She knew there was no way in this universe they'd ever met; the last thing she needed was him taking an interest either way.
Swallowing any further conversation she might have been tempted to engage in, she began to step back from his doorway slowly but said quickly, "Yea, ya know, people tell me I have one of those faces. Anyway, tell Jack I'm really sorry and to have fun. I can come find you in a bit to see what ya'll come back with?" Just before turning and fleeing she said, "Oh, and make sure to get a couple extra controllers. Those are always the first to break, especially when you're just starting."
Before he could stop her, she left down the hallway and turned a corner. He almost went after her but then couldn't think of a valid reason. She wasn't coming and Jack was waiting for him. So, he grabbed his gun, collected the keys, and hoped it wouldn't be another three weeks before he saw her again.
Enjoy! P.S. This was requested by @misspygmypie
“Sam? Sam!” Dean exclaimed as the bright light surrounded him. He heard his brother shout his name back but it was too late. Dean fell in a dark alleyway, his head still spinning. “Shit. Sammy?” He asked around, but Sam hadn’t followed him through. He saw a set of headlights from one end of the alleyway. Brushing himself off, he walked over to the opening. “Holy shit.” He whispered. He certainly wasn’t in his generation. Maybe the 50’s? That witch really messed him up.
The buildings were old and made out of stone. He heard lively chatter from a bar down the road and a horse pulling a cart trotted by, a man in a suit and tophat sitting in it. Over across the road he saw a row of small houses, a woman peeking out the window of one.
“Hello?” Said a timid voice. Dean turned around and saw a young woman standing there. She was wearing a red dress that was tied around the middle. She looked young, no older than twenty or twenty one. “You look lost.” She said with a smile. “I - um. What year is it?” He asked. “1946. Why? If you don’t mind me asking.” The young woman gave him a puzzled look. “No reason. I - I am lost.” He said. She clutched her purse tighter and looked him up and down. “Is that your evening wear?” She asked, stifling a laugh. “I’m lost.” He repeated, more stern. The woman nodded and gestured to follow her.
“I’m Mary by the way. Mary y/l/n. But I will be Mary Smith once I get married in a month or two.” She informed him. “I’m Dean. Dean Winchester.” He told her. “That’s an odd name. How did your wife settle for the last name Winchester?” Mary joked, leading him down a cobbled road. “I actually don’t have a wife.” Dean said. Mary almost stopped in her tracks. “What? At that age? My god.” She said. Dean shrugged.
“Do you work?” She asked him. They were alone now, no street lights. The narrow road lead somewhere away from the town. Dean felt around for his knife but couldn’t find it. He must have dropped it. “Um. Sort of.” He replied. Mary scoffed. “Sort of?” She said. Dean clenched his jaw. “I work. With my brother. Like a family business. We don’t get paid, but there's some.. benefits.” He told her. “Huh. I don’t work. My fiance does. He’s a gunsmith. He earned a lot of money because of the war. It doesn’t help me at the moment. He’ll only share his profits with me once we get married.” Mary rambled on. Dean nodded along with her, looking around as the walked.
“Where are we going?” Dean asked. Mary giggled. “My house. Don’t worry. We have a spare room for you.” She said. Dean gave her a confused look, but she didn’t notice. To be honest, he felt very creepy vibes from this girl. The way she was right there outside the alleyway, almost as if she were waiting for him. The spare room? For him? A little weird. The questions, the rambling.. the way she just - took some random person off the street and brought them home. Definitely weird. But then again, maybe the forties were different. “Anyways. Here we are.” Mary said, pulling him out of his thoughts.
On front of Dean was a bungalow. It had a small garden and the chimney had smoke coming out of it. It looked like it was made of wood. The curtains were drawn in every window and he could see the light peeking through in one of them. She lead him in the front door, closing it behind them. The hallway was nicely decorated, on the wall was a black and white picture of a woman and a man on their wedding day. Beside it, a movie poster and a vinyl. When he looked on the other side of the hall, a record player was set up, and a wall of vinyls around it.
All he wanted to do was to go home, but maybe if he could ask around first. Get to know Mary. “I’m living with my sister until I get married. She works for us. Don’t tell anyone but she dresses as a man to get a higher paycheque.” Mary said. Dean nodded. “That makes sense.” He replied. Mary opened an old wooden door that lead into a kitchen. A woman was sitting at the kitchen table, a cigarette hanging out of her mouth as she flicked through a book. Her feet were up on it, and she seemed focused on what she was reading. The kitchen was small, with a double door leading into what seemed like a living room. More paintings, pictures and posters were hanging up around. Dirty dishes piled high in the sink.
The woman's eyes widened as she saw Dean enter. “Don’t worry y/n. He was lost. So I brought him home.” Mary said sweetly. Y/n slammed the book down angrily and put out the cigarette. She stood up and Mary shrunk into the wall. “Mary are you mad! Do you know what this man could do? We can’t risk anyone knowing about where we get out money from remember?” She snapped. Dean's eyes trailed over her. She was wearing a suit, the tie loose and it was buttoned down one or two. Her hair down and messy from a day's work. He thought she was quite pretty. Hot even.
“It’s fine okay? Mary already told me about it and I think it’s totally fair.” Dean assured her. “Who are you? Why do you have that accent and what is with your clothes?” Y/n asked, folding her arms over her chest. “My name is Dean. Dean Winchester. I’m not from around here, hell I’m not from this time either. I’m from the future.” He said. “Oh jesus. Mary you brought home a nutter.” She hissed. “I’m not a nutter. Look..” Dean said, taking out his phone. “What on earth …” y/n muttered, grabbing it from him. “It’s a phone.” He told her. Y/n scoffed. “A phone? This is not a phone. This is a - a..” she struggled for words. “A phone.” Dean said smugly, grabbing it back off her.
“I still don’t believe you.” Y/n said. “Wait - let me show you this.” He said. Y/n folded her arms as he rummaged through his pockets. He pulled out a lighter and flipped it over. “Look. Manufactured in 2010. It’s a bit old.. but still.” He showed her. Y/n looked at the lighter. “You could be lying. I’m not usually one to snap my cap around here. But this is ridiculous!” She stated. “Snap your - what?” Dean asked. She waved her hand. “How would I lie? Huh?” He said angrily. Y/n bit her lip.
“Well if you’re from the future.. then how did you get back here?” Mary asked cutting in. Dean shrugged. “I’m not sure.” He lied. “Bullshit.” Y/n said. “Y/n! You can’t curse in front of a guest! That’s not very ladylike of you.” Mary gasped. Y/n gave her a bitter look. “Oh suck it Mary. I’ve been acting like a man for the past five years. I can talk like one as well.” She retorted. Mary opened her mouth to talk but y/n held up her hand. “Anyways. You didn’t answer my question. How did you get back here?” Y/n said to Dean. “That was actually my question…” Mary trailed off.
Dean ended up giving both of them the ‘monster talk’. He didn’t want to, but y/n was clever. She’d probably figure it out anyways. Halfway through, Mary got spooked and left to go to her fiance's house. She swore she wouldn’t tell him, but she needed someone to go to.
That left Y/n and Dean sitting on the couch in her living room. She poured Dean a glass of whiskey and poured one for herself too. “It’s all so.. horrifying.” She said, going to light another cigarette. Dean stopped her. “Don’t. Trust me. In the future, they find out these are really bad. They’ve killed a lot of people.” He said. She raised her eyebrows in surprise. “My god..” she muttered.
“You and your brother are very brave.” Y/n said. Dean rolled his eyes. “Yeah yeah. We just do what has to be done.” He said, sipping the whiskey. There was silence for a while. “Dean? Can I ask you something?” She said after a while. Dean nodded. “Of course. What?” She bit her bottom lip and it made Dean’s stomach do a somersault. He wished he didn’t feel this way about her. But he did. “What’s it like for women? In the future I mean. Do we - do we have rights? Do we still work?” She asked in a small voice. Dean nodded. “Yes. I’d say you’d like it there. Women are treated as equals, with the exception of a few assholes. Pay is even. There’s no pressure to get married. People go their entire lives without getting married..” he told her.
Her face was covered in awe as she sat for a few moments. Dean found himself even more attracted to her. The way her hair moved away from her face, how her eyebrows furrowed when she was thinking, how her eyes lit up. He could go on. She looked back up at him. Her eyes darting down to his lips and back up again. “Dean, do you have a dame. Back home?” She asked. He shook his head. “No y/n I don’t.” He told her. “Did you ever have one?” She said. Dean nodded. “A few times. In the future, people date a lot. One night stands are very popular. Where you go to a bar or a club and take a girl, or dame, home and have sex. Then you never see her again. I’ve had a few girlfriends, but nothing mad.” He replied.
She nodded. “And - and the war. It’s over, isn't it? This is the last one. No more hitler. No more discrimination.” She asked timidly. Dean looked at her in the eyes. They were beautiful. “Yes. The wars are over.” He muttered. His eyes were entirely focused on her lips. The way they moved. Soon he found himself closing the gap between them. “Dean. Are you sure?” She whispered as he got closer.
When she pulled away, her face was full of lust. He grinned. “Dean. Can we - can we have, you know…” she asked. Dean chuckled. “You want to have sex sweetheart?” He said. She nodded eagerly. “Where’s the bed in this place?” He asked with a smile, pulling her off the couch by the hand, giving her another messy kiss. They stumbled through the hallway, y/n dragging him in her bedroom and closing the door behind them. Let’s just say she was very glad Mary had left for the night.
“Dean. I have something to ask you.” Y/n muttered, her hands on his chest. “Ask away.” He whispered. “Can you bring me back with you? To the future? When you’re going. Please Dean. It sounds so lovely. I can live with you and get a job and I won’t have to dress up as a man…” she asked him. “I - I’ll have to think about it.” Dean said after a while. To be honest, Dean had already fallen for y/n. But he didn’t want to bring her into his life. It sucked, she had so much to live for back here. She smiled and hovered over him, her hair messily framing her face. She kissed him again, before curling backup beside him. “I’ll think about it..” he whispered, holding her close to him. He had to make a choice. Did he really want to let her go?
I challenge you with E. You can choose who to write for 😘
A/N- Oh how about a bit of our boy Sammy
You sat at the Harvelle Roadhouse bar, an all to familiar scene for you lately as other hunts were snatched up before Ellen could even pass it off to you. “Next one Child, I promise.” You snort, sure... she was probably holding back because she treated you just like Jo. A child.
“If I dont get something soon, Im gonna split Ellen. I cant be waiting here all day.” You sigh in frustration as she pops a top of the beer and hands it over to you with a smile.
“Of course, next phone call I swear”
A loud booming voice takes over the bar “Were Here, dont nobody get up now!” and you swirl in your chair to see who the owner was, making you grin. Fucking Dean and Sam Winchester. You had to admit, your day just got better. Deam sauntered over in that bowlegged way and plastered a kiss on your cheek, making you roll your eyes at him and shove him away. “Good to see you to darling” He winked at you and you wipped your cheek, scowling. “Dude, really? You probably just gave me herpes or something.” He scoffed and reached over for a beer, Ellen smacking at his hand.
“You have a low opinion of me Y/N” He acted hurt for a moment, and you winked, grinning.
“Cause I do Deano”
He popped the top and sighed. “One of these days, your gonna love me. Oh hey! Ash, question for you buddy.” and with that he left. Sam slid in the seat next to you, taking the beer Ellen offered him with a soft thanks, and held it up for you two to clink necks.
“Hows it been going Y/N?” Sam asked as he took a sip, you followed suit and settled yourself back to facing the bar.
“Good, been stuck here for three days” You say maybe a little to loud and you hear Ellen holler from the back room “Next phone call Dear” You shrug and chuckle. “Otherwise good, what about you and Dean? I see you two havent killed one another yet.” Sam brushed back his hair and shook his head.
“Nah, we get along pretty good for the most part. And honestly I wouldnt want anyone else hunting with me. Hes all just an act.” You wrinkled your brow doubtful, but the Winchesters were a common name in Hunters circles. “Were just taking a break, hoping for a case to come rolling through.”
You snap your finger and point at him to catch his attention. “Next ones mine Sammy, dont you be trying to claim my case.” He held up his hand in surrender, taking another drag off his beer. “Noted, no taking Y/N’s case.”
“Well.... “ you eye him over your bottle, you always like Sam, maybe more then just like, you wouldnt pass up an opportunity to get to know him better. You let your shoulder dip into his and you give a flirtatious smile. “I wouldnt be opposed to working a case together though.” Sams eyes widened at the vibes you were throwing out. He was kinda like a cute puppy when caught by surprise. In the background the phone started ringing, and you could hear Ellens ‘Hello? oh really? I got just the person for the job’
Sam stammered a bit, a little tongue tied. “I-Im sure we could do that, never hurts to have some help, right?”
Ellen joined them at the bar, slamming a file down in front of you, grinning. “Look at that Kiddo, got you a case, and its a fun one. Might want to bring a buddy with you.” Momma Harvelle clearly had your back.
