Lines from Gilligan's Island that live in my head rent-free on a weekly if not daily basis even when I'm not actively watching the show:
• *shoots the gun* "HALT or I'll SHOOT- oh hi Skipper!"
• "I just want an eensy, weensy piece of rope"
"How big is this eensy, weensy piece of rope?"
"6 feet"
• "Hi Gillig-"
"NO NO NO NO NO NO-"
• "Need more magic POWDER!"
• "Remember Gilligan, mum's the word"
"Hello Gilligan!"
"Mum"
"Don't be ridiculous, Gilligan, I'm not your mum!"
• "But Skipper I can't be on camera because if I'm on camera the whole world is gonna see it and if the whole world sees it then the whole United States is gonna see it and if the whole United States sees it then my hometown is gonna see it and if my hometown sees it then my brother is gonna see it and if my brother sees it, he'll punch me 'cause I'm wearing his shirt"
• "But before you go I have a little something for you"
"A chrysanthemum?"
"No, a .45 chrysanthemum"
• "I WON'T BE YOUR PUPPET I WON'T BE YOUR PUPPET"
• "If I'm not telling the truth may lightning strike!"
*lightning strikes just then*
• "What am I thinking about now, Gilligan?"
"You're thinking about a Hawaiian girl in a grass skirt- *disgusted* oh, Skipper!!"
• "FREEEESH FIIISH"
• *in a bad Dracula voice* "Hello, I am the VAMpire"
• "We don't have an alcove, you SHNOOK"
• "Crossing the English Channel was devilishly hard you see, it was take one step and come up for air and then take another step and come up for air-"
• "Don't I get a tip?"
"How much does 1+1 make, kid?"
*holds up two fingers* "Two?"
*sticks a cigar in between his fingers*
• every song from the Hamlet episode but particularly the Toreador March ("Neither a borrower nor a lender be" etc.)
• and of course just the way Gilligan says "SKIP-PEEEEEEER!" and "PROFESSOOOOOR!"

Aca Top 10: Sitcom Themes — VoicePlay music video
youtube
Since the emergence of TV sitcoms in the mid-20th century, part of their enduring charm has been the catchy songs that accompany the opening credits. There's something reassuring about a familiar tune that indicates whatever problems the quippy characters might face will be resolved in less than 30 minutes, and probably end with a hug. While VoicePlay can't provide a physical embrace for every listener, this medley is just as fun and entertaining as an episode of your favorite comfort show in a fraction of the time.
Details:
title: Aca Top 10 – Sitcom Themes
original songs / performers: "I'll Be There For You" by The Rembrandts from Friends; [0:20] Saved by the Bell theme by Michael Damian; [0:36] "Hey Beautiful" by The Solids for How I Met Your Mother; [0:45] The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme by DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince; [1:05] Seinfeld theme by Jonathan Wolff; [1:18] "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" by Gary Portnoy from Cheers; [1:45] "As Days Go By" by Jesse Frederick for Family Matters; [2:08] "Thank You for Being a Friend" by Cynthia Fee for Golden Girls; [2:30] Mister Ed theme by Jay Livingston; [2:45] Unbreakable Kimmy Shmidt theme by The Gregory Brothers; [2:54] "Movin’ On Up" by Ja'Net DuBois for The Jeffersons

DePhil; The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme by Jeffrey "DJ Jazzy Jeff" Townes & Will "The Fresh Prince" Smith; Seinfeld theme by Jonathan Wolff; "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" by Gary Portnoy & Judy Hart-Angelo; "As Days Go By" by Jesse Frederick & Bennett Salvay; "Thank You for Being a Friend" by Andrew Gold; "Mister Ed" by Jay Livingston & Ray Evans; Unbreakable Kimmy Shmidt theme by Jeff Richmond, Michael Gregory, & Evan Gregory; "Movin’ On Up" by Ja'Net DuBois

release date: 19 July 2019
My favorite bits:
that iconic twangy air guitar and the requisite 👏👏👏👏
the fantastic bus "vroom" that was honed through years of "Road Trip" performances 🚌💨
Eli and Earl's squicked out reaction to Geoff's deep "moist" 💧
the light, popping percussion Layne gives to to "Fresh Prince"
Geoff's descending run in the transition into "Seinfeld"
Earl pretending he's going to smack Eli while he's helping with the "Seinfeld" percussion
that lovely four-part harmony for ♫ "get awaaay" ♫
J.None's quick transformation into a pitch-perfect Steve Urkel 🤓
their absolutely joyful tone as they sing the Golden Girls theme
the back row mounting pretend horses during Mr. Ed
animated carrot shenanigans 🥕
Geoff grooving away on that walking bass line in "Movin’ On Up"
Eli and J's gospel hands on that final "oooh!" harmony
Earl's fantastic belt for the end of "Movin’ On Up"
how long they manage to hold on to the ending silence before they burst out laughing

Trivia:
○ Once again, the decision process for this entry in their "Aca Top 10" series was quite contentious. The guys are clearly very passionate about their entertainment preferences.
Tumblr media
○ Some of the shows are represented on their shirts, regardless of whether they made the final cut.
Eli — Gilligan from Gilligan's Island (1964–67)
Earl — portraits of the Golden Girls (1985–92) with "squad" above
J.None — Fresh Prince of Bel Air (1990–96) title graphic baseball jersey
Geoff — Joey Tribiani's catchphrase "How you doin'?" from Friends (1994–2004) in the show's title font
Layne — Kelly Kapowski from Saved By the Bell (1989–92)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
○ The guys had already recorded a version of "Everywhere You Look" from Full House (1987–95) and Fuller House (2016–20) as the second entry in their PartWork series three years earlier. Earl and Layne covered all five vocal parts for that one.
○ Revisiting some of the memorable shows of their youth got Earl and Layne in a bit of a nostalgic mood, so they gave a shoutout to a favorite after-school snack on social media.

In Memoriam: Bob Moony - "way out there in the blue, riding on a smile and a shoeshine … ”
by Pádraic Gilligan, Chief Marketing Officer, SITE & Co-Founder, SoolNua Consulting There’s a line in Arthur Miller’s great tragedy Death of a Salesman, where Willy Loman, the play’s main character,  is described as “a man way out there in the blue, riding on a smile and a shoeshine … ” Whenever I saw Bob Moony, that line would come to mind. Bob had the smile, and the shoeshine; he had the…

Well first off there are a lot of OCtives here, which are specifically "autojects" to us; we leave the term "introject" to sources we did not create.
Korro- A fictive of the titular Bone Carver from Pyramaze's concept/story record "Legend of the Bone Carver"
Archie- An alter made using the cover art from Another Perfect Storm.
Roger- A guy from college.
Rodney- The guy from Stargate Atlantis
Sage I- Friend's OC
Tobey- from Three Delivery
Peri- Another friend's OC
"Tom"- It's not his real name but this is another friend's OC. Sadly we're not in contact with his creator anymore. They don't know we're a system and they don't know he is an alter.
Not really a niche source, but perhaps not common to have alters from his source, we have Willie Gilligan. From Gilligan's Island.
Literally all of our The Hollow fictives and any AUtives from this source.
And that's about it I think.

question 14: Do you have any introjects from niche sources and if so what are they?

La isla de Gilligan
+
El manosanta está cargado
= ?
Gilligan is a fictional character played by Bob Denver on the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island and its many sequels. Gilligan, affectionately called "little buddy" by the "Skipper", is the bumbling, dimwitted, accident-prone first mate of the SS Minnow. His first name, given in the pilot episode, is Willie. He wears a trademark red shirt, pale trousers, white sneakers, and white navy cap.
Un mecánico, cansado de su mala suerte y de no conseguir trabajo, decide hacerse pasar por un curandero milagroso que llega desde Brasil con el objetivo de ganar dinero y conocer mujeres.

The Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island are permanently burned into my brain forever.
I drive through Willis, TX anywhere from 2-5 times a week. Each time I see their sign, I think 'What 'chu talkin' about Willis?'
The Jeffersons, the Bob Newhart Show, All in the Family also occupy large headspaces.
Currently binge watching various youth oriented exercises in comedic media presentation! Also known as sitcoms. For... reasons. Important game developer reasons.
So what shows do you remember from when you were young? Assuming television was still relevant at the time.

Characters: Willy Gilligan and Mary Ann Summers
Media: Gilligan’s Island (1964-1967)
Played by: Bob Denver and Dawn Wells
Setting: 1960s, uncharted Pacific island
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Gilligan is the first mate on the S.S. Minnow, a small charter boat which gives three-hour tours around the Hawaiian islands and is manned by his best friend the Skipper.
Mary Ann Summers is a farm girl from Kansas, and she along with four other passengers books a ride aboard the Minnow.
The seven passengers are quickly caught in a storm and shipwrecked on an uncharted Pacific island, where they will remain until they can be rescued. Amid constant rescue attempts and zany adventures, Gilligan and Mary Ann pass the time by collecting butterflies, staging musicals, and generally being adorable while marooned.
