I thought to myself, "When did Willow Run ever have this kind of passenger service?"
TIL from the Willow Run Airport wikipedia page:
Between 1946 and 1947, passenger airlines serving Detroit moved from Detroit City Airport on the city's crowded east side, to Willow Run; shortly thereafter, Wayne County officials began expanding Detroit-Wayne Major Airport at Romulus, which was 10 miles (16 km) closer to Detroit than Willow Run. Willow Run's relative isolation encouraged new approaches to passenger transportation to and from airports; at Willow Run in 1946, Warren Avis founded Avis Airlines Rent a Car Systems, the first rental car operation at an airport. Almost all of Detroit's scheduled airline flights used Willow Run until 1958, when the coming of the Jet Age drove traffic to the Romulus airfield, which that year had been renamed Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (the name it still bears). It offered carriers a new terminal designed for the new aircraft, a newly expanded runway layout, and approach controls that made it the first inland airport in the country certified for jet airliners. In 1956, there were seven passenger airlines at Willow Run. The April 1957 Official Airline Guide shows 68 weekday departures on Capital, 45 on American, 23 on Eastern, 17 on Northwest Orient, 14 on United, 13 on North Central, 13 on TWA, 8 on Delta, 5 on Allegheny and 3 on Mohawk. American's only westward non-stops were to Chicago; United had a nonstop DC-7 to Los Angeles; come summer TWA would resume its weekly two-stop Constellation flight to Paris via Gander in Newfoundland and Shannon in Ireland. Only BOAC and Pan Am flew out of Detroit-Metropolitan. American Airlines moved from Willow Run to Detroit-Metropolitan in October 1958, followed by Northwest, Allegheny, and Delta in the next few months. Airline flights ended in 1966 when United, TWA, Eastern, North Central, Mohawk and Lake Central moved to Metro Airport.

tuesday again 11/5/2024
i am going to do my absolute fucking best to stay off the internet today. also the next time i write one of these i will be goddamn thirty. yeesh.
listening
it took three hours to make a normally brisk 50-minute trip back from the airport on sunday bc there were simply so many accidents. my phone wasn't charging, i was kind of locked into the one way i actually knew how to get home, it was pouring, and the only radio station that was reliably coming through was the local dad rock station.
youtube
i don't think i've ever actually heard this song all the way through before! i have of course heard the chorus in eight billion advertisements and trailers etc, but i tuned in right at the lyrics
I was a willow last night in my dream I bent down over a clear running stream Sang you the song that I heard up above And you kept me alive with your sweet flowing love
big ren faire lady of shallott vibes.

reading
witch hat atelier, the first twelve volumes that are out in english anyway. let's yoink the setup from the fan wiki.
Coco, a girl living in a small village, had been dreaming of becoming a magician since little. But people who don't know how to use magic since birth are unable to become magicians, or witness the moment magic occurs. But one day, Coco accidentally saw Qifrey, a magician that was visiting the village casting a spell. Ecstatic to finally know how magic works, she tries it immediately and transforms her mother into a stone statue. With the help of Qifrey and his disciples, Coco will embark in a magical journey to save her mother.
this gets a lot of ghibli comparisons, and i get it-- there's a lot of concern about healing scars from a near-cataclysmic magical war, lots of contraptions, bucolic countryside, loving shots of food, etc. i think there is a focus on academia and cohort-building, and how networking is a profession all to itself, that we do not generally see in ghibli films. i think the comp pull should go beyond the aesthetics, as well, but ghibli is still a good comp-- the world of witch hat atelier is dangerous and can hurt or kill you, but it treats the reader's heart with the same care a ghibli movie will. things may not be happily ever after or go perfectly at all times, but there are no twists for the sake of twists, and it doesn't sneer or make fun of you for caring about a character. there are no whedonesque "well THAT happened!" moments. these characters are going to learn and grow and you will learn and grow along with them goddamnit. it is queer but incidentally queer. the folx side of the fags-folx spectrum will feel very welcome here but this is not a tenderqueer kind of gay book. characters are incidentally gay because of course they are, that's just how the world works, look at all the fullness of human expression you can encounter in your one short life, why NOT be gay
i did not expect this series to kickstart a fresh wave of grief for my own academic experience. coco leans on her cohort so much and they truly do work together to solve problems and come up with good solutions and i wish i had had that kind of astronomy experience. it's kind of cold comfort that i don't know and have never heard of a woman having a good astronomy experience.
witch hat atelier: very fun to sink into the details on a page (Kamome Shirahama knows how functional but pretty clothes work), endlessly charming veneer on a very taut game of political ethics happening in the grownups' background

watching
happy noirvember!!!
youtube
Another Man's Poison (1952, dir. Rapper) courtesy of Kanopy's little revolving carousel of new noir films.
An English mystery writer (Bette Davis) kills her husband, then tries to kill a man (Gary Merrill) posing as her husband.
In his review in New Statesman and Nation, Frank Hauser wrote "No one has ever accused Bette Davis of failing to rise to a good script; what this film shows is how far she can go to meet a bad one."
a plot that could only happen in a country where appearances are everything. i must agree with mr hauser and most of the critics of the time who said Huh???? to the script and basic premise. AND the ending is a little too pat. a breakneck ninety minutes filmed in three months where its stage play bones show. however i really like Bette Davis and it's so much fun to watch Bette Davis pace around an English manor house like a caged tiger.

making
deep cleaned my entire house. drove three hundred miles this weekend to pick up my sister and her friend from the airport, go to the ren faire, come back from the ren faire, and take them back to the airport. houston delivered to me some of the worst fucking driving experiences i have ever had here. really upsetting torrential downpour for nearly an hour on a road with no shoulder to speak of.
the actual ren faire was fun! i did not realize how vital a chair or bench with a fucking back was to my rest and recovery. it was nice to go with fellow adults and not help wrangle several small children, as fun as a kid-friendly experience can be. got my overpriced gyro for the year. got my bootleg anime merch for the year. wish it hadn't rained but i feel very smug for packing enough umbrellas and ponchos.
#tuesday again#tuesday again no problem#listen this one's a little light but i am experiencing The Horrors

WILLOW CREEK, Americreek (SNN) - - Queen Katherine I and Prince Rainier, Prince consort, just returned from a visit to the United States and the White House on a goodwill tour. During this five-day visit, the royal couple were hosted by President Paulina McNally and First Gentleman Prescott McNally at the White House. Queen Katherine I stayed in the Rose Bedroom while Prince Rainier stayed in the Lincoln Bedroom.
Queen Katherine I has shown off a more adventurous side of her wardrobe in vintage pieces, and custom made dresses during her royal tour of the United States of Americreek this week, mostly by famed designer @rustys-cc.
DAY ONE
LANDING IN THE US IN COLORS OF THE FLAG
As they arrived at Reinhart Airport in the RAF Voyager jet to kick off their tour, Her Majesty touched down on her trip in a bright blue outfit by designer @rustys-cc while Rainier opted for a grey suit and tie.
The Queen also carried a scallop trim clutch by @theroyalsims and wore Adaline's Wedding brooch. In a nod to the Americreek flag, Queen Katherine paired her gorgeous cobalt blue dress with @dallasgirl79's 'Christian Louboutin Iriza' pumps in the same shade.
Katherine and Rainier were greeted on the tarmac by Willow Creek Governor, Jamal Tompkins and US Secretary of State, Rachel Pitt.
Their first stop was the White House to meet with President McNally and the first gentleman, and settle in their rooms. The president is in a crucial race for re-election in November against Republican challenger, Harold T. Dixon.
In a statement, Buckingsim Palace stressed this as a 'goodwill tour' not a State visit, which warrants official public ceremonies, and state receptions. Royal/goodwill tours are less formal visits than a state visit to another country, with a lesser emphasis on ceremonial events.
DAY TWO
VISIT CACAO FARM IN NEWCREST
The Queen once again showed she's mastered the art by donning the colors of Americreek's flag on day two of her US tour with Prince Rainier.
They kicked off the second date of their tour by indulging their love of music and chocolate as they were shown around a family-run cacao farm in the coastal town of Willsimsburg.
Dressing like the Americreek flag, Kate donned a §500 blue and white polkadot midi-dress by @sentate, for the occasion. To add an extra touch of blue, Her Majesty donned §55 statement Aquamarine earrings from trendy brand @glitterberrysims. And she recycled her trusty nude platform wedges by @dallasgirl79, her go-to footwear for any summery events or outings.
During their visit to the Che 'il chocolate farm, Kate couldn't resist the "amazing" smell wafting in the air as she tried her hand at grinding nibs (crumbled dried cacao beans) with a mortar and pestle, a task typically performed by sims women in the rural communities of Latin Americreek.
And though Prince Phillip, Princess Grace, Prince Michael, and Prince Samuel were thousands of miles away, they were at the forefront of the Queen and Prince consort's minds, with Kate admitting, "I think our children will be very jealous," as they dipped tortilla chips into a chocolate fountain and sampled hot chocolate made from the organic farm.
DAY THREE
VISITED THE ANCIENT MAYAN ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF DEL SOL VALLEY
The Queen dressed for the occasion as she embarked on a trip to the ancient Mayan archaeological site in the jungle during day three of the tour, as she joined Prince Rainier on a visit to an ancient Mayan site in Del Sol Valley.
She arrived in green trousers, paired with a simple white t-shirt, Ray Ban 2140 sunglasses by PauleanR and canvas boots.
The prince matched Her Majesty and dressed in casual neutrals.
Kate and Rainier later went deeper into the jungle and took part in a jungle survival skills lesson with the US Army Training Support Unit.
DAY FOUR
WHITE HOUSE GIFT EXCHANGE AND RECEPTION
President McNally exchanged gifts with Queen Katherine I in an East Room ceremony at the White House in Willow Creek.
Her Majesty wore a repeat, but in purple, of the Somerville Coat Dress by @warwickroyals she wore to the 2023 Service of Thanks.
The Queen presented President McNally with a set of silver-plated horseshoes and a leather bound version of "Americreek Is Lost," a copy of the essay written in 1882 by King Albert II analyzing the causes and the effects of the Americreek Revolution.
The President gifted Queen Katherine and Rainier, Prince consort a Steuben crystal flower bowl engraved with quotations from William Shakesime and a framed print of an 1897 newspaper illustration depicting four horses pulling a carriage through Newcrest.
US Senator Mitch McCorkle also presented Her Majesty a pair of Gold Butterfly earrings, a gift on behalf of the US Senate.
Showing she can also dress up to, later in the day Katherine I sported a §2,500 vintage yellow gown by designer @rustys-cc for an evening reception in celebration of Her Majesty's visit, which she paired with the Mary Beth of Gibralsim Diamond bandeau, Pearl choker by @batsfromwesteros, and Gold Butterfly earrings gifted to her by the US Senate earlier in the day.
One of the most recognizable bracelets Katherine wore is a Vintage LEP bracelet by renowned jeweler, S-Club. Gifted to Zarah, Queen Dowager (then Queen consort) by the US Senate during a goodwill tour with husband, Edward II, in November 1952.
The bracelet features several design elements that symbolize peace and hope. The scrolling link sections have a four-leaf clover design, a floral motif that primarily symbolizes good luck, so the Queen may have opted for this bracelet in tribute to the start of her reign.
DAY FIVE
FLIGHT TO WINDENBURG
Queen Katherine and Rainier arrived at Lucas Reinhart III International Airport as they depart Americreek and board a flight back to Windenburg.
After her whirlwind tour of Americreek, Her Majesty still found time to showcase her fashion credentials.
As she departed Americreek for Windenburg, the Queen sported a vintage red @rustys-cc sweater she bought while studying at the University of Britechester, where she met Prince Rainier over a decade ago.
Buckingsim Palace announced today that The Prince consort, as chair of the Commonwealth Study Conference, will visit Dacana next week on a private working tour. The trip is the first visit overseas the Prince consort will make without the Queen.

WORLD TOUR- .13
Once we got to the other side of the airport to the pick-up area, I whip out my phone to text my cousin. I sort of feel a person come up to my left, standing quite close to me. I don’t look up from my phone as I just guessed that it was Bill or Johanna. “Mm, she should…” I look up from my phone, to sight out where she should be. “There she is!” I turn to look at who I again thought was Johanna or Bill but instead, it was Tom who smiled sweetly at me.
“C’mon, I found her.” I tell the rest of the group, choosing to ignore the boy next to me.
Not out of malicious intent but I’m just excited to see my cousin. “[Name]!!” She screams, “Alyssia!!” I shout in response, giving all my things to Tom and then running to her.
“I missed you so much!” She mutters in my ear as we hug tightly. It’s not often I get to see this part of my family so when I do it’s extremely amazing. “I missed you too! Let me introduce you and Willow.” I pull away from the hug, looking over I spot Willow, my cousin's best friend who we call her lover.
“Hey, Will!” I wave to her, she takes her hands out of her sweater pockets, waving back and then bumping my fist once we’re closer.
“Alright everyone, this is my cousin Alyssia and her best friend Willow.” I motion to them. “Obviously you guys already know Jo. This is Bill, Georg, Gustav… and Tom.” I point them out one by one. Alyssia and Willow shake their hands as I say their names.
“Okay, your grandparents are itching to see you right now so we better get going.” Alyssia claps her hands, she pops open her trunk and we throw our stuff in the back. “My car is a little small for everyone to fit so sit on some laps.” She tells us, we all glance at each other knowing exactly how this is about to go down. I sit down regularly, then Gustav sits next to me and Georg on the other side.
Jo climbs in and sits on Gustav’s lap obviously. Bill sits on Georg’s lap, leaving Tom to sit on mine. We were all laughing nonstop at the arrangement. Even Spring Roll made some noises as she was in the front with Willow.
“Maybe you should’ve used your mom's van,” I say as Alyssia starts driving. “I wasn’t near her house before I got here.” She shrugs. I just sigh, leaning back as she starts blasting her music.
“You should be sitting on my lap right now.” Tom leans all the way back to whisper in my ear, I make eye contact with him as I smirk. “Too bad Kaulitz.” I wink, looking away to watch the outside.
Once we get to my grandparent's place we all get out with grunts, Tom getting off my lap felt like his bones were digging into my legs. It was very painful.
We went up to the door, the others looked like they were waiting for us to knock but instead, we just went right in through the door. Going in, I plopped Spring Roll on the ground and she ran in. “Surprise!!!” A group of people shouted, it ended up being a lot of my family members who actually lived in different states too.
“Oh my gosh!” I grinned, taking like five minutes to hug everyone in the room. It was a spacious room so it’s okay. “Alright, alright!” I laughed, we then went around the room and the boys ended up following me or Johanna around the whole time. Mainly the twins kept by my side. Georg ended up making friends with Willow and Alyssia so he hung around them and the other stoners of my family. Gustav obviously was with Johanna who talked to my family too.
“Oh, so this is the boyfriend?” My Aunt comes over to talk to Bill and I. Bill's hair is down and he’s wearing a beanie with no makeup. Also some baggy clothes so he kind of looks like Tom. Not really but to other people he could’ve. I laughed and went to say no but Tom stepped in. “Actually that’s me.” He shakes her hand and my eyes go wide. Bill turns to me with a smirk but I just try to ignore it.
“Oh, two handsome identical twins. You sure got your hands full, my dear [Name].” My face goes warm and I just want to hide in someone's arms and die.
“Auntie, please.” I shake my head.
“It’s quite alright, she knows what she’s dealing with, with me.” Tom pulls me into his arms, kissing my head as I try my best to contain a smile on my face. My Auntie walks away and I push Tom off of me, glaring at him. “What the fuck was that, Tom?” I asked him then just shook my head and walked away from the twins.
It’s not that I didn’t like being called his girlfriend it’s the fact that it’s my family. I haven’t told them anything and plus he and I are not official. He does not have the right to do that.
Not yet.
I'll have to talk to him and Bill later.
So this actuallyy might be a few more chapters than 15 because I'm thinking about it and the stuff I want to do before the end won't fit in two more chapters. So get ready I guess.
Edited)I fucked up bruh I put part of chapter 12 in this my bad if you guys fucking saw that 😭😭😭 chapter 14 will be longer I promise I just genuinely fucked up😭😭😭

Stuck In The Middle - Part 8
Hook x Y/N x Ricky Starks
Part 7
A few days go by, and the pictures have stopped popping up, but the rumors are still flying. How will Y/N move on from this debacle?
Ruby and Willow tried their best to distract me from the pictures and rumors swirling around online during our girl's day, but every time I checked the time on my phone, I got wucked back in. Eventually, Ruby and I switched phones, and the 3 of us were able to relax and somewhat forget the outside world.
Ruby and I switched phones back when I left for the airport, but not before she got rid of any notifications she deemed as unnecessary. I had a few texts from family members, and that was about it. By then, the pictures weren't popping up every second on Instagram and Twitter, so I was able to scroll through and catch up with whatever I missed fairly well. I flew back home and got settled in at my house before starting my weekly chores.
Later that night, I was playing a game on my phone when I got a text notification. It was Ricky, so I hesitated but eventually clicked on it.
Hey, just checking in on you. Wanted to make sure you made it home safe.
I smiled to myself before replying to him
Yep, just doing laundry and cleaning up for now. Thanks for checking!
I go back to my game for a bit before a hear the notification again.
Great! I have been thinking about your publicity issue, and I think if we go out in a group next week, it could help negate those rumors flying about.
I hummed to myself as I thought about it.
Who all would go and where?
You, me, Hook, Garcia, Skye, Ruby, Dante, Darius, Willow, etc. Whoever you want to invite. We could go out to a bar or dinner, depending on how we are feeling.
I shrug before looking into the places around the arena and hotel we are booked for next week.
I found a nice Italian restaurant a couple blocks from our hotel and a club a few blocks in the other direction. We can figure it out next week. Thanks for thinking of me, Ricky!
I go back to playing my games until I get ready for bed and fall asleep after cleaning all day.
Ricky's POV
I groan as I read Y/N's last text to me. I know she doesn't want to date anyone right now, but I can't help but let my feelings develop for her. I know this is going to be a tricky task as I am going to want to sit next to her and talk to her, but so will Hook.
I see Garcia's face pop up on my screen, and I answer his FaceTime.
"Hey Ricky, what's up, man? You look a little down."
I groan and rub my hand over my face. "Daniel, I think I'm actually falling for her."
Garcia snickers a bit. "You say that every time you meet a new woman. What makes her different from the others?"
"I can't explain it. I just want to do anything to make her happy."
Garcia stares at me for a few seconds before sighing. "Damn, Ricky might actually be falling in love. Never thought I would see the day."
"Oh fuck off Daniel... you know I'm bound to settle down sooner or later, but she makes me want to settle down now."
Garcia's eyes grow wide at my confession. "You barely even know her, Ricky. You sat together on a plane and had a couple of run-ins at work. She could be psychotic for all we know!"
I rolled my eyes and told him about my idea of a group hangout next week.
"Well, you better not get too close, or else the rumors might start up about the two of you next!"
I smirked at him through the phone screen before replying, "Same better go for Hook, though. If she said she doesn't want to date anyone, then he needs to back off as well. Let her make her own decisions."
Daniel smirks watching me get all riled up about this before we change the subject and stay on FaceTime for about an hour talking about our upcoming matches and whatnot.
Y/N's POV - Monday
Over the past few days, I have spoken to Ruby, Willow, and Skye about the group outing idea, and they all agreed to join. We decided it might be fun to go to the zoo in the morning since we will be in San Diego. Then we will get ready at our hotels and go out for dinner or whatever the boys want to do. Ruby and I are rooming together this trip, and we are both heading to the airport soon. I finish up packing before locking up my house and heading to the airport.
The flights to San Diego were decent, but unfortunately, my luggage seems to have e gotten lost. I groan as I watch the carousel stop signaling all of the bags that have been dispersed. I hear a light chuckle behind me and slowly turn around to see a man in a black hoodie eating chips.
"Hook, this isn't funny. I don't have my luggage, that means no clothes, no toiletries, no chargers!"
He hides his smirk behind the chip bag before eating another one and nodding towards me. "That's why I stick with a carry-on."
I roll my eyes at him, "I have too much shit for a carry-on. You probably have a couple of outfits, ring gear, chips, and a few toiletries. I have extra shoes, makeup, hair products, and jewelry, too."
He shakes his head slightly, "You don't need makeup. The Glam Squad can get you camera-ready, but you don't need it off camera at all. Also, I have hair products as well. How else do you expect me to create this masterpiece?"
I reach up and ruffle his hair, making him squirm away. "Well, if you are going to be that way, I guess I will let someone else who lost their luggage borrow my extra hoodie."
I reach back up to help him fix his hair as I see bright green hair out of the corner of my eye. "Ruby, thank goodness you are here! They lost my luggage, so I have nothing now."
Ruby skeptically looked between Hook and I before shaking her head. "It's happened to me a couple of times. Let's go to the store and get you some necessities."
I nod and turn to leave before realizing I haven't invited Hook to Thursdays activities. "Hey Hook, if you aren't busy on Thursday, a few of us are going to the zoo in the morning and then going out that evening. You are more than welcome to join us!"
He nods as he thinks about it. "Sounds like it could be fun. So it will be you two and who else?"
"Well, right now, it is us, Willow, and Skye, but we are going to invite Ricky, Garcia, and Eddie as well. You can bring the lads if you would like!"
I can see his jaw clench when I mention Ricky, but he quickly redirects himself and smiles as he pulls out his phone. "I'll text them now and ask. See you ladies later!"
We walk in opposite directions as Ruby and I go towards the Uber station. "Well, well, well. Not looking for a relationship, huh?"
I look at her confused before she continues. "You are lucky there were no fans to take pictures of you intimately fixing his hair."
I try to smack her jokingly, but she jogs ahead and jumps the Uber. This will definitely be an interesting trip.

Aircorps Art Dec 2019
PRESS RELEASE
Adventure awaits Detroit-area residents desiring a visceral experience on a historic aircraft this Saturday, August 26th at the Yankee Air Museum’s Hangar located at the Roush Aeronautics Center at the Willow Run Airport at 48075 Tyler Rd, Van Buren Charter Township, MI 48111.
Encounter the power, nimbleness and iconic sound of radial engines of the World War II battle-tested B-25 Rosie’s Reply. What better way to experience history in flight than to fly on a 1943-built bomber that flew missions in Sicily during World War II.
Take a ride into yesteryear on Rosie’s Reply; the B-25D is the only flying model of that aircraft today and is one of very few aircraft that experienced combat during WWII. Public rides on the B-25 are available at 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. The ride is a 20-minute experience and costs $475.00 per person for one of four rear-compartment seats, which also gives access to the turret and tail section. I think about the moment where I hear nothing but the wheels of my suitcase dragging along the marble. Everything else is a dim buzz. I walk out of customs, and there I see the most beautiful person. She's wearing a light pink hoodie, worn out with use. He's holding a sign with my name. Willow. I run to them, my suitcase almost flying, and I hold him, tighter than I ever believed possible, lifting them off the ground. I'll softly crack a joke about how much English airports suck while tears run down my face. I'll whisper the words "I love you" over and over, just holding you right there. I want you to know that's what I think about when I'm sad, happy, bored, angry, lonely, I think about you all the time. I think about us. I love you.

Scripts - S7 - Episode 10
Stick or Twist, meet Evan, girls chat
Thank you so much as usual to the beautiful @longbobmckenzie, ILYSM you're wonderful
NARRATOR: Welcome back to Love Island where Stick or Twist is causing <i>waves</i> amongst the original couples.
NARRATOR: And by causing waves, I mean virtually everyone seems to be twisting.
NARRATOR: I got caught in a big wave once. I was in the airport standing between two friends who hadn't seen each other in a while.
NARRATOR: But who’s going to be <i>waving</i> goodbye to villa life and who’s gonna be riding the <i>wave</i> of new romance?
NARRATOR: Let’s get back to it before I run out of uses for the word wave.
As Stick or Twist continues, you look across at the Islanders sitting around the firepit.
{0}_SERIOUS: So, it looks like things have changed.
ALEX_IDLE: Yeah, and I’m sure it’s for the best.
Alex points over to a new boy sitting beside {0}.
ALEX_IDLE: You look like you’ve found somebody new, Estelle.
ALEX_IDLE: I’m glad it worked out this way, I wouldn’t want you to be dumped.
ESTELLE_IDLE: I’m sure you’re not surprised I twisted, especially with how things were left.
ALEX_IDLE: I guess not…
ALEX_EMBARRASSED: Maybe our connection just wasn’t as strong as we initially thought…
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: Wow, really Alex.
ALEX_IDLE: I’m not trying to be hurtful, but we’re both standing with other people.
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: Can we move on?
BRYSON_IDLE: I suppose you lost a good thing!
Bryson points over to a new boy sitting beside {0}.
BRYSON_IDLE: But looks like you found a new fella quick enough.
BRYSON_IDLE: No need for me to feel bad then.
WILLOW_SERIOUS: You were never going to feel bad Bryson, everything is just a joke to you.
BRYSON_SAD: That’s not true Willow.
BRYSON_IDLE: If you’d been standing here alone, waiting for me of course I’d feel bad.
BRYSON_EMBARRASSED: But you’re not, so…
WILLOW_IDLE: Wow, clearly I made the right decision.
BRYSON_IDLE: Don’t be like that, I don’t want bad vibes between us.
BRYSON_IDLE: You’ve found someone you connect with and so have I, let’s be happy about it?
WILLOW_IDLE: Can we move on?
JOYO_IDLE: We’ve made our decisions. Time to move on.
Joyo points over to a new boy sitting beside {0}.
JOYO_IDLE: I see you already have.
GERI_IDLE: You don’t care at all, Joyo?
JOYO_IDLE: We’ve both moved on and this show is about finding the right person.
JOYO_IDLE: Evidently we weren’t right for each other.
GERI_IDLE: This decision was actually really hard for me, but obviously it wasn’t for you.
JOYO_EMBARRASSED: I never said it was easy.
JOYO_IDLE: But I felt a connection and had to go for it.
GERI_IDLE: Can we move on?
RAFAEL_EMBARRASSED: Let’s not make this awkward.
Rafael points over to a new boy sitting beside {0}.
RAFAEL_EMBARRASSED: Don’t need any tension with the new guy.
DAPHNE_SERIOUS: Let’s not make this awkward?
DAPHNE_SERIOUS: That’s all you have to say to me?
RAFAEL_EMBARRASSED: You’re with someone new as well, Daph.
DAPHNE_SERIOUS: I never said I wasn’t.
DAPHNE_SAD: I thought you might want to acknowledge our time together…
DAPHNE_SAD: But clearly not.
RAFAEL_SAD: You’re right, I just didn’t want to cause any tension.
DAPHNE_SERIOUS: Really?
DAPHNE_SERIOUS: Or did you want to just pretend the only time you had here was at Casa Amor?
DAPHNE_SAD: I really thought you were something special, that we had something special.
DAPHNE_IDLE: I’m glad I twisted, because I clearly got you all wrong.
RAFAEL_SAD: Daph, I don’t want to upset you.
RAFAEL_IDLE: But I felt something with, {0} and I couldn’t ignore that.
DAPHNE_IDLE: And I wouldn’t want you to.
DAPHNE_IDLE: But that doesn’t mean what we shared suddenly amounts to nothing.
DAPHNE_IDLE: Can we move on?
EVAN_IDLE: Hi, guys. I’m Evan by the way. Nice to meet you.
{0}_IDLE: I’m sure things will be fine between us.
EVAN_IDLE: I hope so.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Hi all.
EVAN_HAPPY: Welcome to the villa. {0}.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Thanks, Evan, great to be here.
You and {0} take a seat around the firepit.
Hold his hand
You reach over and take {0}’s hand.
He squeezes your hand and gives you a reassuring smile.
{0} notices this and looks away awkwardly.
Don’t hold his hand
You decide against taking his hand and sit next to him.
A phone pings.
WILLOW_IDLE: Looks like it’s my turn.
WILLOW_IDLE: Things haven’t been perfect for me in the villa.
WILLOW_SAD: And me and this boy have had our ups and downs.
WILLOW_EMBARRASSED: I’ll even admit that I was tempted while he was away in Casa Amor.
WILLOW_IDLE: But, after looking into my heart, I decided that I wasn’t ready to move on.
WILLOW_HAPPY: I want to resolve any issues we have and give this a shot.
WILLOW_FLIRTY: So, I have decided to stick with Bryson.
There is a tense silence as the villa doors open.
Bryson approaches the firepit, holding Uma’s hand.
WILLOW_SURPRISED: Wow.
BRYSON_EMBARRASSED: Hey, Willow. I’m sorry, but I decided to twist.
WILLOW_SAD: Oh, I see.
UMA_EMBARRASSED: Hi girls, I’m Uma. Nice to meet you.
WILLOW_IDLE: Usually I’d be happy to meet someone new, but not today.
BRYSON_IDLE: Honestly Willow, I expected you to twist too.
BRYSON_EMBARRASSED: I didn’t think I’d have to feel bad tonight.
WILLOW_SAD: I guess this night is just full of surprises isn’t it Bryson.
BRYSON_SAD: I really am sorry, Willow.
WILLOW_SAD: Not nearly as sorry as I am.
Another phone pings.
GERI_IDLE: Looks like it’s my turn.
GERI_SAD: I’ll admit I had mixed feelings about this.
GERI_IDLE: I feel like I could have gone either way.
GERI_HAPPY: I almost considered flipping a coin.
GERI_IDLE: But I decided that the physical spark I felt earlier in the summer might still be there.
GERI_FLIRTY: And I’d be up for exploring that a little more.
GERI_FLIRTY: So, I have decided to stick with Joyo.
Silence takes hold again as the villa doors open
Joyo walks towards the firepit, hand-in-hand with Bonnie.
GERI_SURPRISED: You’re joking.
JOYO_EMBARRASSED: I had to go with my gut, Geri.
BONNIE_EMBARRASSED: Hi everyone, I’m Bonnie.
BONNIE_SAD: I’m really sorry about this, Geri.
GERI_SERIOUS: You did what you had to do. I’d have done the same.
GERI_IDLE: You’ve got nothing to apologise for.
GERI_ANGRY: You on the other hand, Joyo…
JOYO_EMBARRASSED: I’m sorry too, Geri. Like I said I had to trust my gut.
JOYO_IDLE: And I felt a connection with Bonnie.
JOYO_EMBARRASSED: And we weren’t exactly closed off before Casa were we?
GERI_ANGRY: Whatever, we’re done.
Bonnie tries to smile at you as she takes a seat.
A phone pings.
DAPHNE_SAD: Just me left then.
DAPHNE_SAD: The results so far haven’t filled me with certainty.
DAPHNE_IDLE: But I suppose at least I’m being honest with myself.
DAPHNE_HAPPY: And I think that that is the most important thing.
DAPHNE_EMBARRASSED: I felt a connection with this boy from day one.
DAPHNE_IDLE: And we continued to get closer throughout our time in the villa.
DAPHNE_EMBARRASSED: We did have a test early on, when my head almost turned for a split second.
DAPHNE_HAPPY: But I quickly came to my senses.
DAPHNE_HAPPY: And this boy had my back throughout and fought for us.
DAPHNE_FLIRTY: So, now it’s my turn to return the favour.
DAPHNE_HAPPY: So I have decided to stick with Rafael!
The Islanders wait in silence as the villa doors open.
Rafael approaches the firepit alone.
RAFAEL_HAPPY: You made the right choice, Daphne.
Rafael and Daphne embrace by the flames and the rest of the group smile at them.
Daphne squeals in delight as she kisses Rafael.
A phone pings.
ESTELLE_IDLE: Looks like it’s my turn.
ESTELLE_EMBARRASSED: Well, this is harder than I thought it would be.
ESTELLE_IDLE: Anyway, I didn’t expect to be saying what I’m about to say.
ESTELLE_IDLE: I’ve been kinda surprised by how much I missed this boy.
ESTELLE_EMBARRASSED: Despite not being exactly on the same page before Casa.
ESTELLE_IDLE: And, maybe that means my feelings are deeper than I thought.
ESTELLE_FLIRTY: So, I have decided to stick with Alex.
There is a tense silence as the villa doors open.
Alex approaches the firepit holding hands with Uma.
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: I can’t believe this.
ALEX_EMBARRASSED: I’m really sorry, Estelle. I decided to twist.
UMA_EMBARRASSED: Hi girls, I’m Uma. Nice to meet you.
ESTELLE_SAD: This can’t be real.
ALEX_EMBARRASSED: I’m really, really sorry.
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: Yeah, you said that. Doesn’t help me much though.
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: What I would love to know though is how long it took?
ALEX_EMBARRASSED: What?
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: For you to forget all about me?
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: Was it the minute the Jeep was rolling down the driveway?
ALEX_SAD: It wasn’t like that Estelle.
UMA_EMBARRASSED: It really wasn’t. I don’t think this was an easy choice for Alex.
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: Well, I’m sure you’ll be there to help him get over this incredibly hard time.
Another phone pings.
GERI_IDLE: Looks like it’s my turn.
GERI_SERIOUS: I’ll admit I had mixed feelings about this.
GERI_IDLE: I feel like I could have gone either way.

Joyo walks to the firepit, holding hands with Summer.
GERI_SURPRISED: You’re joking.
JOYO_EMBARRASSED: I had to go with my gut, Geri.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: Hi guys, Summer’s here!
SUMMER_IDLE: I’m sorry, Geri, but the heart wants what the heart wants.
GERI_SERIOUS: You did what you had to do. I’d have done the same.
GERI_IDLE: You’ve got nothing to apologise for.
GERI_ANGRY: You on the other hand, Joyo…

JOYO_EMBARRASSED: And we weren’t exactly closed off before Casa were we?
GERI_ANGRY: Whatever, we’re done.
Your phone pings and you read the text out to the others.
LITEXT: {0}, {1}, and Summer, as you’ve been left single, your time in the villa has come to an end. Please pack your suitcases and say your goodbyes! {2}HomeTime {3}NotTheOne
Summer appears in the villa. She walks over to the firepit dragging her suitcase behind her.
SUMMER_SERIOUS: Well, looks like I’m not the only girl that’s been made a fool of!
SUMMER_SERIOUS: I’m going home already? This is ridiculous!
UMA_SAD: It’s so sad, Summer. You’ll be missed for sure.
SUMMER_SAD: I wanted to do so much more here.
BONNIE_SAD: We’ll defo see you on the outside.
BONNIE_IDLE: Get out there and have some fun until we join you.
SUMMER_IDLE: I suppose you’re right.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Always gotta look on the bright side.
LITEXT: Estelle, Willow, and Geri, as you’ve been left single your time in the villa has come to an end. Please pack your suitcases and say your goodbyes! {0}HomeTime {1}NotTheOne
GERI_SERIOUS: Well, this sucks!
ESTELLE_SAD: Yeah, didn’t think this many of us would be twisted on!
WILLOW_ANGRY: You’re not kidding there. Guess we got them all wrong.
Bonnie pulls you quietly to one side. She tries to hide her smile as best she can.
BONNIE_HAPPY: We made it, {0}. Here we are in the main villa.
BONNIE_HAPPY: How are you feeling?
I’m so happy to be here
PLAYER_HAPPY: I’m so pleased to have made it back to the villa.
PLAYER_HAPPY: My summer is just about to begin.
BONNIE_HAPPY: I hear you! The real fun starts now.
I’m kinda disappointed
PLAYER_SAD: If I’m honest, this isn’t all I hoped it would be.
BONNIE_SAD: Really? Well, maybe you just need to spend a little more time here.
BONNIE_FLIRTY: And maybe get to know {0} even better.
I’m not sure yet
PLAYER_IDLE: To be honest, I’m not certain how I feel.
PLAYER_IDLE: This is a big change from Casa Amor and I need time to adjust.
BONNIE_IDLE: I hear you. Well, I’ve got your back through this if you need me.
I can’t wait to get romantic with you
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’m just glad that me and you can get closer, Bonnie.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I hope we can be a proper couple soon.
BONNIE_FLIRTY: I hope so too. I just hope we don’t have to wait too long.
ALEX_IDLE: We should probably say our goodbyes.
BRYSON_IDLE: Yeah, it’s gotta be done.
JOYO_IDLE: They were in this with us after all.
RAFAEL_SAD: And they were our friends.
SUMMER_SERIOUS: I might have a few things to say!
Summer clears her throat as if preparing for an important announcement.
The rest of the Islanders fall silent in anticipation.
SUMMER_IDLE: I came to Love Island with an idea of what I wanted.
SUMMER_IDLE: And I may have gone about things in a few different ways.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: Even stepping on a few toes.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: But I was never not myself.
SUMMER_SERIOUS: Which is more than I can say for the boys.
BRYSON_SURPRISED: What?!
JOYO_SURPRISED: Yeah, what?
SUMMER_SERIOUS: You boys know what I mean. There’s people you can trust, and there’s people you can’t.
{0}_SURPRISED: Do you really think that about us, Summer?
{0}_SURPRISED: That me and the other boys can’t be trusted?
SUMMER_SERIOUS: Sorry, {0}. But I do.
SUMMER_IDLE: I’m just looking out for my girls.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: You appreciate me telling you this don’t you, {0}?
I do. You make a good point
PLAYER_IDLE: I agree with you, Summer. Maybe the boys can’t be trusted.
PLAYER_IDLE: I think they still need to prove themselves, especially after all this twisting.
{0}_SAD: As much as it hurts to hear you say this, {1}.
{0}_IDLE: If trust is what you want, we can definitely build towards it.
SUMMER_SERIOUS: Whatever!
I don’t agree with you, Summer
PLAYER_SERIOUS: I’m gonna have to stop you there, Summer. That’s nonsense.
PLAYER_HAPPY: These boys are great, and can definitely be trusted.
{0}_HAPPY: Thanks, {1}. It means a lot to hear you say that.
SUMMER_SERIOUS: Whatever!
This is way too much drama
PLAYER_ANGRY: Guys! This is way too much drama. It’s not that deep!
PLAYER_SAD: I don’t want to get into this right now.
SUMMER_SURPRISED: I get it, {0}. But I have to tell my truth.
Summer looks over at Rafael.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: And I probably shouldn’t talk about what {0} and Rafael got up to.
RAFAEL_SURPRISED: What?!
DAPHNE_SERIOUS: Yeah, what?
SUMMER_FLIRTY: I’ll just leave that there for you all to deal with later.
DAPHNE_SERIOUS: What is she talking about, {0}?
DAPHNE_SERIOUS: Was there something between you and Rafael?
Admit you and Rafael bonded
PLAYER_IDLE: We had a bit of a thing during Casa Amor, yeah.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I was getting my graft on. That’s what Casa Amor is all about.
RAFAEL_EMBARRASSED: But, Daphne, we’re still coupled. {0} chose {1} anyway.
RAFAEL_EMBARRASSED: And I chose to stick with you.
DAPHNE_SERIOUS: Still, you have some explaining to do, Raf.
Deny it all
PLAYER_IDLE: I have no idea what Summer is talking about.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Deny it all you want, {0}. It will come out sooner or later.
DAPHNE_SERIOUS: I’m not sure I believe any of this either.
RAFAEL_EMBARRASSED: Let’s just move on, shall we?
Summer gestures over to the other dumped girls.
SUMMER_HAPPY: Anything to add, ladies?
SUMMER_IDLE: I mean, you knew these boys before we did.
WILLOW_IDLE: I was willing to give Bryson a real shot actually.
WILLOW_SAD: We might have had our ups and downs, but I was open to him.
WILLOW_EMBARRASSED: Now, I just feel kinda stupid for thinking that.
GERI_HAPPY: I’m not too fussed about leaving actually. These boys ain’t all that.
GERI_IDLE: And Joyo seemed more concerned with Bryson than me anyway!
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: Well, I suppose me and Alex weren’t exactly star-crossed lovers.
ESTELLE_IDLE: But I like to take things slow, and maybe something could have happened?
ESTELLE_SAD: I guess now, we’ll never know.

WILLOW_EMBARRASSED: Now, I just feel kinda stupid for thinking that.
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: Well, I suppose me and Alex weren’t exactly star-crossed lovers.
ESTELLE_IDLE: But I like to take things slow, and maybe something could have happened?
ESTELLE_SAD: I guess now, we’ll never know.
EVAN_IDLE: Guys, guys. Let’s chill shall we?
EVAN_IDLE: There’s no need for all this awkward tension.
ALEX_IDLE: Evan’s right. We don’t want to leave things under an aggy cloud.
EVAN_IDLE: How about us boys have a little chat while the girls help the others pack?
ALEX_HAPPY: Sounds like a plan.
EVAN_HAPPY: Cool.
BRYSON_IDLE: Yeah, you can tell us how you looked after this place while we were gone.
JOYO_IDLE: Hope you haven’t stolen my bed, Evan.
RAFAEL_IDLE: Let’s hit the loungers.
{0}_IDLE: Before we pack our bags, {1}.
{0}_IDLE: We’d like to have a private word with you.
{0}_IDLE: Yeah, we have a few things we’d like to tell you.
{0}_IDLE: There’s a lot you don’t know about.
{0}_IDLE: Things that’ll help you navigate the new villa dynamic.
{0}_IDLE: And there’s a lot you don’t know about {1}’s relationship with {2}.
{0}_IDLE: Feels like you deserve to have the full picture.
{0}_IDLE: It can only help get you and {1} started on the right foot.
{0}_IDLE: Wanna hear it?
*Yes, let me hear it!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Ok, what do you have to tell me?
{0}_HAPPY: Let’s head to the beanbags.
No thanks
PLAYER_IDLE: No, thank you, girls.
{0}_IDLE: Are you sure about that?
{0}_IDLE: Yeah, we can also tell you about the villa before the boys left for Casa Amor.
{0}_IDLE: Got plenty of juicy deets about {1}, surely you want to hear them?
*I need the deets!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Ok, girls. Give me the deets!
{0}_HAPPY: Let’s head to the beanbags.
I’ll chance it without
PLAYER_IDLE: Seriously, girls, I don’t wanna hear it.
{0}_IDLE: No probs, let’s go and pack instead.
You arrive at the beanbags with the soon to be dumped villa girls.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: So, what juicy gossip have you got for me, girls?
{0}_IDLE: Well, we really got to know the boys this summer.
{0}_IDLE: The good and the bad.
{0}_IDLE: Before they left for Casa Amor we all had a bit of a, what would you call it…
{0}_SERIOUS: An aggy fallout sesh!
{0}_HAPPY: Yeah, something like that.
PLAYER_SURPRISED: You all fell out?
{0}_SERIOUS: And when we say we all fell out, we mean we <i>all</i> fell out!
PLAYER_IDLE: How did that happen?
{0}_SERIOUS: Well, it all started when Bryson opened his big mouth.
{0}_HAPPY: As always!
Laugh along
PLAYER_HAPPY: Yep, that sounds like typical Bryson.
{0}_IDLE: He has his good points I suppose.
{0}_IDLE: The boy just doesn’t know when to shut up.
Defend Bryson
PLAYER_ANGRY: Hey, don’t talk about Bryson like that.
PLAYER_ANGRY: Nobody insults my partner.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: Didn’t mean to upset you, {1}.
{0}_IDLE: Maybe he’s changed since he met you?
{0}_IDLE: Anyway, during a group convo about outfits, Bryson told Geri she was looking hot!
WILLOW_SAD: Which upset me obviously, he was supposed to be my partner.
GERI_SERIOUS: Anyway, during a group convo about outfits, Bryson told me I was looking hot!
GERI_SAD: Which upset Willow obviously, he was supposed to be her partner.
{0}_SERIOUS: Bryson said he didn’t mean anything by it, and that he meant it as a friend.
{0}_SERIOUS: Joyo then accused Bryson of always making moves on his girl.
{0}_SERIOUS: This annoyed Geri, as she won’t have any boy claim ownership of her!
{0}_SERIOUS: Geri and Joyo didn’t even seem closed off either.
GERI_SERIOUS: This annoyed me, as I won’t have any boy claim ownership of me!
GERI_SERIOUS: Me and Joyo weren’t even really closed off.
{0}_SERIOUS: Estelle and Alex tried to calm things down.
{0}_SERIOUS: Alex did his whole big brother thing.
{0}_SERIOUS: And Estelle thought he was taking it too seriously.
{0}_SERIOUS: So, then those two started bickering too.
{0}_SERIOUS: Alex even accused Estelle of being insensitive.
{0}_SERIOUS: Bad idea. She was having none of that.
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: Me and Alex tried to calm things down.
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: But he did his whole big brother thing.
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: I was thinking the whole situation wasn’t a big deal.
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: So, then me and him started bickering too.
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: He even accused me of being insensitive.
ESTELLE_SERIOUS: I was having none of that. Don’t be telling me who I am.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: The whole villa was so tense after that.
{0}_IDLE: Yeah, it was so awkward for everyone.
{0}_IDLE: Only Rafael and Daphne seemed unaffected by it.
{0}_IDLE: They were the only people not involved.
PLAYER_SURPRISED: So, what happened after all of that?
{0}_IDLE: Later that day, I remember seeing {1} with {2}.
PLAYER_SURPRISED: What were they doing?
{0}_IDLE: They were having a deep one. {1} looked angry.
PLAYER_SURPRISED: Really?
{0}_IDLE: I’d say they were looking extremely rocky.
{0}_IDLE: Yeah, maybe you’re the better option for him after all?
Of course I am
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’m absolutely the better option for {0}!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: We bonded in Casa Amor, and there’s a reason why he twisted with me.
PLAYER_IDLE: {0} is better off with Evan, cuz {1} is my man now!
{0}_FLIRTY: That’s some confidence you’ve got.
{0}_FLIRTY: I think it might be well placed.
I hope I am
PLAYER_IDLE: Well, hopefully I am.
{0}_FLIRTY: I think you need to be a little more confident in yourself, {1}.
{0}_FLIRTY: You two look good together. {1} twisted with you for a reason.
{0}_HAPPY: You’ve come this far, maybe you two will go all the way.
I’m not sure If I am
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: I don’t know about that. What if I’m not the better option?
{0}_IDLE: {1}, based on what we have seen, you are the better option.
{0}_IDLE: Yeah, {1} looks really into you.
{0}_IDLE: Later that day, I remember seeing Rafael with Daphne.
PLAYER_SURPRISED: What were they doing?
{0}_IDLE: They were cosied up on the loungers.
PLAYER_SAD: Really?
{0}_IDLE: Yeah, but something was off with them.
PLAYER_IDLE: What do you mean?
{0}_IDLE: They were in each other’s arms but Rafael was staring off into space.
{0}_IDLE: As if he wanted to be somewhere else.
{0}_IDLE: I always felt that there was a bit of chemistry missing between them.
{0}_IDLE: Yeah, so maybe you’re the better option for Rafael after all, {1}?
Of course I am
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’m absolutely the better option for Rafael!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: We bonded in Casa Amor, and there’s a reason why he twisted with me.
PLAYER_IDLE: Daphne is better off with Evan, cuz Rafael is my man now!
{0}_FLIRTY: That’s some confidence you’ve got.
{0}_FLIRTY: I think it might be well placed.
{0}_FLIRTY: Yeah, girl knows what she wants.
I hope I am
PLAYER_IDLE: Well, hopefully I am.
{0}_FLIRTY: I think you need to be a little more confident in yourself, {1}.
{0}_FLIRTY: You two look good together. Rafael twisted with you for a reason.
{0}_IDLE: Yeah, Rafael looks really into you.
{0}_FLIRTY: He is a bit fickle though, so, who knows!
{0}_IDLE: The bottom line of what we’re trying to say is that {1} and {2} are…
{0}_IDLE: Not the best match, they never really were. But you…
{0}_FLIRTY: You and {1} might be the real deal.
{0}_FLIRTY: Sometimes a Casa Amor girl makes the biggest impression of the summer.
PLAYER_IDLE: I guess we’ll see.
{0}_FLIRTY: I’ve got one final thing to dish before we leave.
{0}_FLIRTY: It’s about Evan.
{0}_HAPPY: He’s such a great guy.
{0}_HAPPY: He really is!
PLAYER_IDLE: What do you know about Evan?
{0}_IDLE: Well, I overheard {1} flirting with him.
{0}_FLIRTY: Like full on, factor fifty, like she’d completely forgotten about {1}.
PLAYER_SURPRISED: Really?
{0}_FLIRTY: I even overheard her say that she wanted to rip Evan’s clothes off more than she had with {1}.
{0}_IDLE: So, basically, if {1} tries to backtrack about her connection with {2}.
{0}_IDLE: You can feel secure that you are his first choice.
{0}_IDLE: And that her head turned pretty quick.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Interesting to know.
{0}_IDLE: You could say that Casa Amor happened at the perfect time for you.
{0}_IDLE: Just as everyone in the villa was beefing, the boys vanished.
{0}_IDLE: Meaning nothing in the villa could be resolved.
{0}_IDLE: That really gave you Casa Amor girls a helpful boost.
You hear all the boys laughing over at the loungers.
{0}_IDLE: Seems like they’re all getting on at least.
{0}_FLIRTY: One final thing from us.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: What’s that?
{0}_FLIRTY: As soon as you and {1} walked in.
{0}_FLIRTY: Well, I totally bought you as a couple.
{0}_FLIRTY: Yeah, you looked right together.
{0}_FLIRTY: And the way {1} looked at you…
{0}_FLIRTY: Yeah, we all noticed that. He’s into you, {1}.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Good to hear, thanks, girls.
{0}_IDLE: Anyway, time’s ticking. We should go and pack.
{0}_HAPPY: So, are you glad you had this chat with us, {1}?
Yeah, thanks for the info
PLAYER_HAPPY: Definitely! Thanks a lot for telling me all of this.
PLAYER_HAPPY: This is some really useful information.
{0}_HAPPY: And it’s really gonna help you through your summer of love.
My time could’ve been spent better
PLAYER_SERIOUS: To be honest, I could’ve used my time better.
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Maybe by spending time with my partner.
{0}_SERIOUS: Well, I’m sorry to disappoint you.
{0}_SERIOUS: Yeah, I guess you’re hard to please, {1}.
{0}_SERIOUS: I hope {1} knows that!
I’m not really sure
PLAYER_IDLE: I don’t know if I am. I need time to process it all.
{0}_IDLE: Yeah, take your time, {1}.
{0}_IDLE: It was cool of you to hear us out.
A text sound pings. {0} looks down at her phone.
{0}_SAD: Time for us to go?
{0}_IDLE: Yep. Let’s do this!
You head inside with the dumped girls to help them pack their suitcases.
Having packed all their bags, the dumped girls are gathered with the rest of the Islanders at the villa entrance.
{0}_SAD: Well, at least this was fun while it lasted.
{0}_SAD: I really thought we’d make it further.
DAPHNE_SAD: I’m going to miss you both so much.
{0}_IDLE: It is what it is.
SUMMER_SERIOUS: I can’t believe I’m going so soon.
SUMMER_IDLE: Goodbyes are never fun, but somebody’s gotta go!
ALEX_SAD: See you on the outside, girls.
BRYSON_SAD: Yeah, good luck out there.
JOYO_IDLE: Maybe you’ll find the right partners on the outside.
RAFAEL_HAPPY: You’re all stars now, the boys will be queuing up!
You watch as {0} draws her girls in for one last emotional hug.
{0} leans in towards you and whispers.
{0}_IDLE: How are you feeling about them leaving, {1}?
Rather them than me
PLAYER_FLIRTY: It’s better for them to be going home than me.
{0}_IDLE: Well, I can’t argue with you on that.
{0}_FLIRTY: I definitely wouldn’t want to see you go home.
I wanted more time with them
PLAYER_SAD: It would have been nice to get to know them all better.
PLAYER_SAD: I might have made some great new friends.
{0}_HAPPY: Well, maybe you can catch up with them on the outside.
I wish I was going home instead
PLAYER_SERIOUS: I just wish it was me that was going home!
{0}_SURPRISED: Really? Surprised you feel that way, {1}.
{0}_SAD: Sure I can make the rest of your stay worthwhile though.
I have no feelings about them
PLAYER_IDLE: I don’t really have any feelings either way.
PLAYER_IDLE: This is just the name of the game.
{0}_IDLE: I suppose that’s true. Somebody had to go.
{0}_HAPPY: I guess we can’t all live in this villa forever can we!
UMA_FLIRTY: Good luck out there, girls!
BONNIE_FLIRTY: Yeah, we wish you all the best.
SUMMER_SAD: I wish I was staying with you girls.
UMA_SAD: Me too, Summer. It won’t be the same here without you.
BONNIE_SAD: Yeah, we went through a lot together.
UMA_FLIRTY: Casa Amor girls for life!
BONNIE_FLIRTY: We’ll defo be seeing you on the outside though, Summer!
BONNIE_IDLE: Don’t you agree, {0}?
I can’t wait to see Summer again
PLAYER_HAPPY: Of course! I can’t wait to see Summer again on the outside.
PLAYER_HAPPY: She’s been a huge part of my time so far.
PLAYER_HAPPY: There’s no summer without Summer!
SUMMER_HAPPY: Aw, thanks, {0}! I really hope we can grow our friendship even more.
I think me and Summer are done
PLAYER_SERIOUS: If I’m being honest I think this is the end for me and Summer.
PLAYER_SERIOUS: I just don’t see a friendship between us.
SUMMER_FLIRTY: Well, you do you, {0}! You ain’t gonna rain on my parade!
Who knows what will happen
PLAYER_IDLE: I can’t predict the future. Just have to wait and see.
SUMMER_IDLE: Yeah, let’s see what fate has in store for us all!
BONNIE_FLIRTY: I’m sure it'll be fun, no matter what!
The dumped girls grab the handles of their suitcases.
{0}_HAPPY: See you later, guys and girls!
{0}_HAPPY: Let’s go, girls!
{0}_SAD: Well, at least this was fun while it lasted.
{0}_SAD: I really thought we’d make it further.
{0}_HAPPY: Don’t do anything we wouldn’t do.
Wave goodbye to the girls
PLAYER_HAPPY: See you later, girls. Have fun out there!
You wave your arms excitedly as the girls head out.
{0}_HAPPY: Thanks, {1}.
{0}_HAPPY: Yeah, thanks!
Tell them to hurry up and leave
PLAYER_HAPPY: Don’t make this a big thing! Just go already!
{0}_SERIOUS: Ok, whatever you say, {1}.
{0}_SERIOUS: Bit rude, {1}.
Stay quiet
You remain silent as the dumped girls walk away.
The dumped girls leave the villa, and the doors close behind them.
UMA_IDLE: Now what do we do?
BONNIE_HAPPY: We settle into our new home!
{0}_IDLE: Before you do that, I think me and {1} need a little time alone.
{0}_HAPPY: For our first proper chat in the villa.
{0}_IDLE: Let’s go up to the terrace.
You notice {0} watching you as you head up to the terrace with {1}.
You and {0} sit down beside each other on the soft cushions of the terrace.
{0}_HAPPY: I’m so happy to be here with you, {1}.
{0}_HAPPY: It’s such a relief to be done with Stick or Twist.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: That was pretty tense. I’m glad to be on the other side of it.
{0}_IDLE: How about you, glad to be here?
So glad to be here!
PLAYER_HAPPY: I’m extremely happy to be here. Couldn’t be happier.
PLAYER_HAPPY: I got through Casa Amor, and now here I am!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Things are just gonna get better and better!
I preferred Casa Amor
PLAYER_SAD: I think I preferred Casa Amor to here!
{0}_IDLE: I guess it was simpler in some ways.
{0}_HAPPY: But I’m excited to be back here with you.
{0}_IDLE: The villa is a much better place with you in it.
Time will tell
PLAYER_IDLE: Who knows. We’ve only just arrived. Anything could happen.
PLAYER_IDLE: I don’t want to make my mind up just yet.
{0}_FLIRTY: Fair enough. It’s sometimes a good idea to take things slow.
{0}_FLIRTY: And you’re happy we’re coupled up together, right?
Of course
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’m delighted we’re coupled up!
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s great to be wherever you are, {0}.
{0}_HAPPY: So glad to hear you say that, {1}.
{0}_FLIRTY: I wouldn’t want anybody here but you.
I might have some doubts
PLAYER_SERIOUS: To be honest, I’m having a few doubts about us.
{0}_SAD: Oh, really? That’s not great to hear.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: It is early days though and doubts are normal.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: Hopefully they pass as we get to know each other better.
I’m not telling
PLAYER_IDLE: I don’t think I want to tell you.
{0}_FLIRTY: Ok, {1}. You like to keep some things to yourself?
{0}_IDLE: I’m down with that.
{0}_IDLE: Hopefully we can be more open with each other as the summer goes on.
I am interested in Bonnie
PLAYER_IDLE: If I’m being honest, I am interested in Bonnie.
PLAYER_IDLE: We’ve always had a bit of a vibe together.
{0}_IDLE: Oh, ok. I did sense a spark between you two.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I did share a bed with her after all.
{0}_IDLE: Yeah of course.
{0}_IDLE: Well, I hope we can still get to know each other anyway
{0} looks down at the garden below the terrace.
{0}_IDLE: I know we’ve not known each other for long…
{0}_HAPPY: But I think we could have a great relationship in here.
{0}_IDLE: I know you’ve got a connection with Bonnie, which I get.
{0}_IDLE: She is awesome. I just hope we can still explore things together.
{0}_IDLE: We did just couple up after all. So there must be something there.
{0}_IDLE: I know you’ve got some doubts about us, which I get.
{0}_IDLE: We’ve only just coupled up, and it’s only been a few days.
{0}_IDLE: But to me it feels like there’s a reason we coupled up.
{0}_IDLE: I really hope we can explore a connection while we are here.
He smiles at you sweetly.
{0}_FLIRTY: Maybe we could start now?
*Snog him
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I want to kiss you…
{0}_FLIRTY: Funny that, there’s nothing I’d love more.
Movie style kiss
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I want to be kissed like they do in the movies.
{0}_FLIRTY: I’ll be your leading man.
{0}_FLIRTY: You can be my Hollywood starlet.
You lean towards him, he stops you with a finger on your lips. He strokes your face gently with his thumb, searching your eyes with his.
You can almost hear the cinematic orchestral swell in your mind as he leans gently in for the kiss, his eyes twinkling.
Your lips meet, deep and firm and true. He places one hand on the back of your neck, the other round your waist, gently inclining your head upwards.
You melt into one another as you let him stand you up from your seat and gently guide you into the pool of moonlight that bathes the centre of the terrace.
You remain locked into each other’s lips, feeling every soft sensation, your heart beating fast.
When he finally draws back, you’re both breathless in the pale glow of moonlight.
{0}_FLIRTY: Was that cinematic enough for you?
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I really felt like we were the main characters.
{0}_HAPPY: You’re the main character in any situation.
Raunchy kiss
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I want the steamiest kiss you can give me.
{0}_FLIRTY: I can give you that.
You lean towards him and allow him to clasp your hands gently above your head.
He brushes his lips teasingly over yours. You let out a little sigh.
{0}_FLIRTY: Oh I like that, {1}.
You pull his hands down your figure and bring them to rest on your hips. He doesn’t hesitate, next thing you know his lips are on yours again.
Your tongues dance as he strokes your waist. Each kiss is harder and more passionate, lost in the heat of the moment.
When he finally draws back, your cheeks are flushed. He breathes heavily, a flirty smile playing across his lips.
{0}_FLIRTY: Woah. Was that hot enough for you?
{0}_FLIRTY: It certainly was for me.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I definitely felt the heat.
World-stopping kiss
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I want a world-stopping kiss.
{0}_FLIRTY: I can give you that, {1}.
{0}_FLIRTY: Let’s do this.
You let him pull you to your feet.
{0}_FLIRTY: I feel like we should stand in the moonlight.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Sounds perfect.
You bask in the spotlight of the moon, he gently places his hands on your lower back. You throw your arms around his neck.
Your eyes lock together, it feels like he can see into your soul. Your faces rush towards each other but when your lips touch, it seems tender and sweet.
The world seems to stop and all your surroundings fade away as the magnetism of your kiss grows deeper and stronger.
Your lips exploring every inch of his, your tongues intertwining.
You can almost hear his heart beating out of his chest as he surrenders himself to the sensation of your kisses.
When he finally draws back, your faces glow in the light from the moon. You’re both breathless.
{0}_FLIRTY: That was world-stopping for me.
{0}_FLIRTY: I hope you feel the same.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: It was perfect.
Give him a hug
PLAYER_HAPPY: How about a hug?
{0}_HAPPY: Sure, that would be nice.
You lean across and wrap your arms around {0}.
He holds you tight against his chest as you lean your head on his shoulder.
{0}_FLIRTY: This feels really nice, {1}.
You let go of each other and laugh quietly together.
Keep it platonic
PLAYER_IDLE: It’s good to know where your head’s at.
{0}_IDLE: Of course. Wanted to make sure you knew.
{0}_IDLE: The main villa feels so different to Casa Amor, doesn’t it?
{0}_IDLE: Do you want to ask me any questions about being back here?
{0}_IDLE: Maybe about the other Islanders?
Any doubts about twisting?
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: Do you have any doubts about twisting with me?
{0}_SURPRISED: What? I’m kind of surprised that you would ask me that.
{0}_HAPPY: Of course not. Twisting with you felt right to me.
{0}_IDLE: It’s exactly what I wanted then, and it’s what I want now.
{0}_HAPPY: If I had to make the decision again, I wouldn’t change it.
Do you still have feelings for {0}?
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: Do you still have any feelings for {0}?
ALEX_SURPRISED: Feelings? No. I mean, Estelle is a cool girl and all, but nothing like that.
ALEX_IDLE: I’m glad she twisted with Evan.
ALEX_EMBARRASSED: But part of me just wants it to be me and you.
ALEX_IDLE: Away from baggage, if you know what I mean?
ALEX_EMBARRASSED: Not that it needs to be awkward. Just might have been simpler.
BRYSON_IDLE: Feelings? Don’t get me wrong, Willow is a sweet girl.
BRYSON_IDLE: And it might be fun to have her around for the summer.
BRYSON_FLIRTY: Who knows, it could actually make things more interesting.
JOYO_IDLE: Feelings? Don’t get me wrong, Geri is a sweet girl.
JOYO_IDLE: And it might be fun to have her around for the summer.
JOYO_FLIRTY: Who knows, it could actually make things more interesting.
RAFAEL_EMBARRASSED: Feelings? I’m not sure.
RAFAEL_EMBARRASSED: Don’t get me wrong, but I kinda feel bad about the situation.
RAFAEL_EMBARRASSED: It’s not ideal, and I don’t want to hurt anyone.
RAFAEL_EMBARRASSED: I’ll admit that I still like Daphne, we’ve shared a lot together.
RAFAEL_SAD: And like I mentioned in Casa, we kinda closed ourselves off.
RAFAEL_SAD: So, I get why she’ll be hurting right now.
RAFAEL_SAD: And that kind of stuff doesn’t always just disappear right away.
No questions
PLAYER_IDLE: I’m good without asking anything.
{0}_IDLE: Ok, {1}.
Suddenly, a door opens and {0} appears on the terrace.
{0}_SURPRISED: Oh, hey, {1}.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: Hey, you two. Looking very cosy up here.
{0}_IDLE: Do you want something, {1}?
{0}_IDLE: I just wanted to pull {1} for a chat. We need to discuss a few things.
{0}_IDLE: Ok. I’ll get out of your way.
{0}_IDLE: No need. Me and {1} will head inside.
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Ok, let’s go.
You head into the villa with {0}.
You arrive in the dressing room with {0}.
{0}_IDLE: It seems like you and {1} are getting on well.
ESTELLE_IDLE: It’s nice to see Alex happy.
WILLOW_IDLE: We were like that not long ago.
GERI_IDLE: We were like that not long ago.
DAPHNE_SERIOUS: I wonder if Rafael’s using the same moves he used with me?
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Shouldn’t you have your mind on Evan?
DAPHNE_FLIRTY: Maybe, maybe not.
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Is this what you wanted to chat about?
{0}_IDLE: I understand that each of us has to do what’s best for ourselves.
{0}_IDLE: So, I need to tell you this.
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Tell me what?
ESTELLE_IDLE: That I still want to get to know Alex.
ESTELLE_IDLE: I still want to explore our relationship if possible.
WILLOW_IDLE: That I would kinda like to resolve the issues me and Bryson had before Casa Amor.
WILLOW_IDLE: And see if we can rebuild the bridges between us.
GERI_IDLE: Just that seeing Joyo again has reminded me how smoking hot he is.
GERI_EMBARRASSED: I think I’m still attracted to him.
DAPHNE_FLIRTY: That I think I’d like to try and win Rafael back.
DAPHNE_FLIRTY: I feel like me and him should be together.
What?! Back off!
PLAYER_SERIOUS: I don’t think you need to build any more of a relationship.
ESTELLE_SURPRISED: Oh, really?
PLAYER_SERIOUS: You should let those issues go. Time for you to move on.
WILLOW_SURPRISED: Oh, really?
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Well, it seems like Joyo is more attracted to me than you!
GERI_SURPRISED: Oh, really?
PLAYER_SERIOUS: No way! Me and Rafael are together now and you need to accept that!
DAPHNE_SERIOUS: Oh, really?
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Yeah, you should focus on your own partner.
That’s fine with me
PLAYER_IDLE: Do what you’ve gotta do, Estelle.
PLAYER_IDLE: I can’t stop you and Alex having a relationship if that’s what you want.
ESTELLE_IDLE: Ok, cool. That’s good to know.
PLAYER_IDLE: Do what you’ve gotta do, Willow.
PLAYER_IDLE: If you need to resolve some issues with Bryson, go ahead.
WILLOW_IDLE: Ok, I’ll keep that in mind.
PLAYER_IDLE: Do what you’ve gotta do, Geri.
PLAYER_IDLE: I can’t tell you who you should be attracted to.
GERI_IDLE: And I wouldn’t tell you either.
PLAYER_IDLE: Do what you’ve gotta do, Daphne.
PLAYER_IDLE: If you’re gonna try to win him back I can’t stop you.
DAPHNE_FLIRTY: I’ll take that as your blessing then.
{0} looks at herself in a mirror.

37 Living Dead Girl
“Buffy? Spike? Buffy?”, there was yet another knock at the door and Buffy realized she couldn’t ignore it and started fumbling blindly for her bathrobe; which wasn’t where she normally kept it… Shit.
She lifted her head. It felt like the roadrunner had smashed an anvil into it. Buffy let out a groan and the arm she hadn’t realized was snaked around her constricted. Spike.
The pounding on the door resumed, “Buffy?”
She groaned again, “What do you want, Xan? We’re half dead in here.”
“It’s too early for your puns, Love. Make the boy go away,” Spike grumbled into a pillow as he shifted onto his stomach like a sullen kid.
Buffy huffed without looking over at Spike, “Go away, Xan!”
“Come on guys! I’m supposed to get you up! The coma girl’s parents are here. She woke up and they want to talk to you so get some clothes on!”
Spike groaned and pulled himself up out of bed, “Bugger all,” he grumbled, pulling on his jeans gingerly over his injured leg and limped over to the door pulling it open fully. Xander’s eyes grew wide in shock when he saw Spike’s bare chest.
“Dude, what the hell is going on here? Have you looked at yourself in a mirror?”
“Not as of late, no, you ninny,” he murmured as he looked down at himself. He knew she had written her name under his left collarbone, but he hadn’t realized she had also drawn swirling doodles and a few hearts into his skin. The doodles interspersed with the numerous cross burns dotted all over his chest certainly told their own story. The burns were nothing more than little pinkish-red marks now but they stood out in sharp contrast against his pale skin, “Bollocks. How bad are the bits I can’t see?”
“Got a turtleneck?” Xander scratched his own neck indicating corresponding marks on Spike, “Those are pretty obvious, man. What the heck did you do to him, Buff?” he asked as he tried to poke his head into the room to talk to her.
Spike blocked him, “She’s not exactly decent, mate, getting dressed and a bit hungover too. Who’s with the Andersons now?”
“Faith answered the door and sent me to get you. Will and Giles are in serious book mode. I think they’re in the library but I’m avoiding. Faith wants me and Callum to put the girls to work on the duplex, while she takes the grads to the airport.”
“Right, we’ll be down,” he closed the door as Xander turned away. “You hear him, Pet?”
Buffy had pulled on a purple sleeveless top over a long black skirt with purple embroidery. Her hair was still a mess from sleep and it made him smile as she tamed it.
Buffy nodded as she finished and pulled out a pair of cute but practical sandals, “Yeah, we better get down there.” She looked up at him, “Maybe you should just stay up here. Keep off of that leg.”
“It’s about Sheena and Ruby. I need to be in this.”
She paused taking in the extent of the marks on his chest, “Fine, but maybe go with one of your dress shirts and that new black infinity scarf I just got. I really did a number on you last night,” she grimaced apologetically.
“Nonsense, I love your handiwork. As for that scarf, I might be a bloody poet, Pet, but I sure as hell aint about to dress like one of those trendy wankers running around nowadays.”
“Do you want to make Mrs. Anderson faint again? Because I’m pretty sure advertising evidence of kinky vampire sex might just do it, call it a hunch. Xan’s right, I must have left it on too long in a few spots, a couple of those don’t look good. Look at it this way, at least it’s a plain scarf, no frills.”
He frowned, “Yeah alright. I hear you. As nice as they were, I get the feeling they aren’t going to be all smiles in regard to Ruby’s new living arrangements and lifestyle as is.”
“Which part? The dead but soulful part, the undead-living-here part, or the liking women part?”
“Hard to say.”
“Let’s see what they want first, they might just want to tell us about Sheena.”
“Phones work.”
“True… let me track down Willow. Sheena might have said something to them about our visit.”
“Right, I nearly forgot ‘bout that. Got a bit distracted last night. All went well I take it?”
Buffy shrugged, “I was just the guard dog, but the mind walk Will did with Ruby did the trick. I didn’t really do much except help get Ruby’s stuff out of her room and lend a minimal hand with Odette. Ruby ‘did pretty much all the work. Odette didn’t seem like much of a fighter to be honest.”
“Probably just the regular demon stuff. I certainly didn’t teach her anything. I’m still dumbfounded that Dru just let her go.”
“It’s crazy to expect crazy people to make sense”
Spike shook his head, “Dru is insane but she always made some sort of sense. Even if I didn’t see it right away. In the end she almost always did.”
“I don’t know how you put up with her for so long.”
“Can’t really explain it to be honest,” Spike said awkwardly and rolled a shoulder.
“We better go, I want to see if Will is in the library.”
*****
When they reached the library they were surprised to find Ruby lounging with her leg up over the arm of the chair in the corner with a book in hand. She was situated a short distance away from the large table where Willow and Giles were pouring over books and a stone tablet.
“Hey guys!” Buffy interrupted them, “Ruby’s parents are downstairs.”
Ruby’s head shot up from her book in alarm, “Do they know about me?”
“We don’t really know what they know. Just because we didn’t say anything to them doesn’t mean that Sheena didn’t.”
“How do you want to play this Buff?” Willow asked.
“I think Spike and I need to get down there. Give us a minute or two and then come down with Ruby, but maybe just hang out in the stairwell by the living room so you can hear what’s going on. Oh and by the way, once I get him downstairs, Spike is forbidden from getting off the couch.”
Willow and Ruby smirked at each other and Spike rolled his eyes. Soberingly, he looked squarely at Ruby, “You and I need to have a talk young one. I was out of line but there are things you need to know.”
Ruby nodded, “Whatever you say, g-“
“And don’t you bloody well dare call me grandpa!”
“I was going to say, go see what my parents want. And maybe don’t mention Willow is a witch, I just don’t think they’d respond well.”
“Oh, well right then.”
Buffy put her hand on Spike’s chest, pushing him back slightly from where he was leaning against the doorframe, “Talk later.”
In a matter of minutes the two of them were downstairs greeting the Andersons. Faith took a step towards the staircase, “Sorry to cut and run Buff but I got to make sure Addison and Ursula make their flight.”
“No, it’s fine. I know you got a busy day, thanks for doing this.”
“No problem, B. Hey,” she grabbed Buffy’s arm and gave Spike a barely perceptible glance, “Everything 5x5?”
“Yeah, all good.”
“You gonna fill me in later?”
Spike gave Faith a nod, “Mind yourself, Doe-eyes, doin’ much better now, thanks. You get the beer later and maybe Buffy and I will spill the relevant bits.”
“You’re on, pal,” Faith replied as she headed up the stairs.
Buffy turned back to the Andersons and directed them into the living room.
“What can we do for you?'' Buffy asked cordially as she and Spike sat down together on one couch, the Andersons took the other.
“We’ve just come from the hospital. But I think you already know Sheena is awake.”
“Oh, well I was just there visiting and—“
“Ruby was with you wasn’t she? You found our girl and you didn’t tell us?” Mrs Anderson was trying to keep the accusation out of her voice but it was still there.
“It’s more complicated than that—“
Mr. Anderson bristled, “Our daughter is alive and you didn’t think we should know? When did you find her? How long has—“
“Mr Anderson, please calm down. We were planning on calling you when Ruby decided she was ready. She’s been through—“
“She is our daughter!” he roared, standing up, “What gives you the right to keep her from us!?”
Spike stood up with a deep growl, “You need to have a seat, mate. The lady is trying to explain the situation.”
The Andersons looked a little shocked, they hadn’t missed the growl but they didn’t understand it either. Mr Anderson didn’t sit down, “Young man, perhaps we should be talking to Mr. Giles. I don’t—“
“Don’t you ‘young man’ me, I was—“
Buffy reached for Spike’s wrist, “Sit down, you need to rest that leg.”
“Leg’s not so bad, Pet. I’m fine. But if he thinks I’m just—“
“William, please.”
“Buffy, you know as well as I do that we’re the only ones willing and able to help them and they—“
“Don’t know the whole story.”
Spike deflated as he sat down, his leg really wasn’t fine and he stretched it out in front of him on the coffee table.
Buffy hit Mr Anderson with a hard gaze until he relented a little and sat down too. “Thank you. Now maybe we can talk like adults. As I was saying. Ruby has been through a lot. We have been helping her.”
“Helping her?” Mrs. Anderson asked, “What has happened to our girl? First you tell us she might have been turned and now we find out she’s been hiding out here and you didn’t say a word. Where is my daughter? I want to see her!”
“You will. But I think you need to hear what happened after Ruby attacked Sheena.”
“After— but—“
“We haven’t been keeping you in the dark so please stop acting like we have been. You know she was turned, you know she attacked Sheena. Denial isn’t going to help anyone here. What you don’t know is that we were able to capture her afterwards and hold her here.”
“You held our daughter hostage?”
“We held a demon inhabiting your daughter’s body as a prisoner,” Spike corrected, “You’re welcome.”
Mr. Anderson wrapped an arm around his wife tightly. “But she was with you at the hospital wasn’t she?”
Buffy inclined her head a little, “Yes. We were able to have someone retrieve Ruby’s soul and put it back in.”
“So what does that mean? She has her soul, she’s cured? I thought you told us that it couldn’t be done.”
Spike huffed, “It’s not a cure. That’s utter nonsense. She’s still a vampire, she’s still dead. Crosses still burn and she still needs blood to survive. Animal blood, that is. She hasn’t had human since she’s been with us.” He paused looking at Mrs. Anderson. She had blanched at the mention of blood but didn’t look faint so he continued, “She’s also more her true self now. She has all her humanity back. She can discuss literature sensibly again, and thank god for that because trying to talk with her about Oscar Wilde without a soul was just— bloody painful…” he stopped catching a bewildered look from Buffy, “Point is, she can make opinions and decisions based on morality and has a working conscience again. It doesn’t mean she’s any less of a vampire. It also means that she essentially has multiple— How do I put this?”
“Just tell them what you told me,” Buffy reassured him.
He bobbed his head once and continued, “There’s more to her now. A lot of it she doesn’t even understand yet. First off she’s what we call a fledgling. Her demon didn’t have a lot of time to get real used to things before she got the soul shoved in. She’s getting off easy but she’s still got, sort of, multiple voices in her head.”
“Like multiple personalities?”
“No, no, think of it like the angel and devil on your shoulder kind of thing except a bit more literal. She has a lot she needs to work through before she can figure it out. Takes some getting used to. The guilt alone is enough to drive anyone mad.” Spike looked down, only just noticing Buffy’s hand clenched tightly in his own.
Mrs. Anderson’s eyes flickered from their hands and back up to his face, “You’re speaking from experience, Mr. Spike.”
He turned earnest eyes to her, “Yeah I am, and I know first hand how difficult it is. I was fortunate to have someone to fight for and who fought for me in return when it got to be too much. The least we can do is try to do the same for Ruby.”
Her eyes flicked to Buffy, “But you’re a Slayer like Sheena aren’t you?”
“The original, yeah.”
“Ruby is in good hands.”
“That’s what you said about Sheena and she still—“
Buffy bristled, “That was out of our control. It’s thanks to Spike and one of the other girls stabilizing her before the paramedics got to her that she is even alive. And further thanks to my friend Willow and Ruby for her waking up. I shouldn't need to tell you that Spike has cared for your daughters like his own family. Our family. We only want to help and part of that is helping Ruby make amends, getting her back on her feet and letting her make her own choices.”
“That’s why she was with you at the hospital.”
“Yeah, she wanted to see Sheena, help her if she could, and she did.”
Spike nodded, “She’s been doing really well, all things considered.”
The Andersons shared a look, Mr. Anderson turned back to Buffy and Spike, “I think we understand. May we see our daughter now?”
Spike turned towards the door concealing the staircase, “You get all that, Rubes? What do you say, feel like having a chat with your folks?”
The door opened and Ruby walked into the living room followed by Willow.
Ruby had pulled on what Buffy recognized as Giles' cardigan. She was holding it closed around her middle tightly, giving her the look of an awkward child, “Hey, Mum; Hi, Daddy.” Her parents descended upon her immediately enveloping her in a hug.
“Ruby! Oh my sweet girl! We thought we’d lost you!” her mother was crying.
“Well, you did, Mum, you did but I’m me again. For the most part. Not completely, but it’s mostly still me, like Spike was saying,” she nodded heavily as she pushed her parents back a little at arms length so she could look at them better, “He’s right it’s— it’s not easy and I was afraid to call, yet. I didn’t want them to contact you so please don’t blame them. Don’t be angry with Buffy and Spike, they’ve done nothing but help me.”
“We’re just glad you’re safe. When will you be coming home, sweetheart?”
Ruby shook her head, “I’m not coming home. I just can’t.”
Her parents looked at each other “But why not? I don’t understand,” her mother pleaded.
“What about uni?” Her father interjected.
Spike stepped in, “It’s Ruby's choice of course, but I have to say I agree with her. For one thing, living in a regular house like that can be kind of dangerous for a vampire, especially a young one. We are experienced here. Buffy has been dealing with the likes of me for years now and the castle is vampire safe. Ruby has already started to make herself comfortable and has a private space to call her own. Buffy and Willow here even went to help her clean out her room at University so you don’t have to worry about that. We’ll see to getting a phone line set up for her at some point here.”
“What happened to your mobile?” Her father asked.
Ruby shook her head, “Lost it the night I died.”
The phrasing seemed to strike her parents hard and Ruby‘s mom looked at her a little bewildered. With some effort she seemed to collect herself, “Well that’s simple enough, you’re still on our family plan, we will simply call our carrier, let them know that you lost your phone and see about getting you a new one. At least let us do that for you, sweetheart,” she nodded and looked pleadingly.
He nodded, “Seems silly not to. We’ll be happy to get it replaced, that way you can keep in touch.”
The unease in their voices didn’t go amiss to anyone, least of all Ruby, “Mum, Dad, I really do think it’s best for everyone that I stay here. I can train with Spike and Buffy and help them out where I can. I really think it’s what’s best. My afternoon class would kill me proper. I’d be a pile of dust on the sidewalk before I even got there. But yeah, a new phone would be brilliant.” She smiled at them both.
“But what about your future?”
“I’m dead Mum. The only future I have at the moment is right here, doing work with them. Fighting the good fight.”
Mr. and Mrs. Anderson exchanged another troubled look.
“It’s part of the deal I made when they offered me my soul. I chose this. I’m sure. Besides, it’s not like I’ll be that far, I can still visit.”
Willow stepped forward next to Ruby, “Absolutely! I can even bring her over tonight or tomorrow. Ruby was talking about wanting to get the rest of her things moved in.”
“That’s true, it would be nice to have the rest of my books and a proper bed,” she looked apologetically at Buffy and Spike, “I appreciate the cot but I’d love to have my own bed down there.”
Buffy rolled a shoulder, “Yeah of course, whatever you need; it’s your space. As long as your parents don’t mind you taking it, you can move whatever you want in there. It’s totally Ruby-ville.”
“Thanks. So what do you say? Can I come get my stuff?”
Her mother seemed a little overwhelmed, “I- we— If— yes of course. Can we see where you’re living?”
Ruby frowned a little, “I don’t really have it finished yet. Willow was going to let me paint.”
“This is Willow?”
Willow stuck out her hand, “Sorry! Yes, Willow Rosenberg. I teach math and science. I’ve invited Ruby to take the basement bedroom on my half of the duplex we started renovating.”
“You’re the one who helped Sheena?”
“I sure am. I’m also the one that ensouled Ruby too. I’ve sort of been keeping an eye on her, she’s been doing a lot better the last day or so.”
The Andersons seemed stunned, “But didn’t you say you teach maths and science?”
“I’m a woman of many talents.”
“And thank the Lord for that, and for everything you’ve done for our girls already. So Ruby will be living with you, not at the castle?”
“It’s on the grounds, you’re welcome to come and see it if you don’t mind a construction site,” Willow turned to Buffy, “do you know if they are working on your side or ours today?”
“No idea, Xan just gave Spike a quick rundown, and Faith didn’t say anything at all.”
“Or you’re welcome to come back another time after Ruby has had a chance to fix it up the way she wants.”
They glanced at each other, “I think we just want to see where she’ll be, that's all.”
“Willow—“
“It’s fine Ruby, Buffy and I can show them around, you just hang out with Spike. You two have a lot to talk about anyway.”
Ruby nodded to Willow, “Yeah alright, what do you say, Spike? Mind if I join you while you heal up and get that talk out of the way?”
Spike had already rested himself back onto the couch with his bad leg up, the other foot still on the floor in case he needed to intervene, “We can bond over a pint— or tea if you prefer, I’m not particular.” He was about to say “a pint of blood” and caught himself just in time, he wasn’t sure if Mrs. Anderson would have stayed vertical or not.
“Ruby?” Willow looked worried, remembering the tea incident from only a few days ago, “Are you sure you’re all right to go back in the kitchen?”
Ruby shrugged, “Feeling a little more stable. Giles said it was better in there now and at least I know Sheena is gonna be okay. I can’t stay out of the kitchen forever, I like to cook too much.”
“Maybe you shouldn’t have said anything, we might put you to work, Slayers like to eat,” Buffy joked.
Ruby laughed at that and hugged her parents again, “I have a good feeling about this, don’t worry about me alright?”
They nodded reluctantly and pulled away
Buffy frowned at her skirt, “I hope they aren’t going all dust happy over there,” she looked up at the two vampires in the room, “You know what I mean, alright, let’s see what’s going on over there.” She said firmly as she leaned into Spike, squeezing his shoulder and applying a little pressure with her thumb where her name was burned into him. “Remember to stay off that leg.”
“Yes, Slayer,” he had managed to keep his tone even, but it still hit Buffy the same way as if he had purred into her ear with his hand down her pants.
Oh my god Spike.
It’s not my mind that’s in the gutter for once, Slayer, he said silently with a smug grin on his face.
You just behave yourself, Mr. Pratt, don’t make me tie you up again.
His grin widened, Yeah like that’s a real deterrent.
She rubbed a hand over her eyes, I really hope I didn’t create a monster last night.
Oh sweetheart, I’ve always been a monster. You just unchained me…
Unless I decide I want you in chains again, however you wanna look at it. It was Buffy’s turn to smirk.
Willow caught the interaction between the two of them and raised her eyebrows, “Buffy, are we going to get going here or do you two need a moment?”
Buffy tried her best not to blush as she turned to her best friend, “Right, okay, Mr and Mrs Anderson, come along with us. We’ll show you out there, It’s the big stone building you guys sort of past on the way in and it needs a lot of work so it’s going to be a while before anyone else is going to be moving into it but the basement on Willow’s side is in exceptionally good shape so since Ruby doesn’t really need a whole lot it’s fairly well set up for her already.”
“What do you mean by that; she doesn’t need a lot?” Mr. Anderson asked as they headed outside.
“Well she’s dead, she doesn’t really need a lot of creature comforts, it’s just a fact. You should have seen Spike’s place when we first started,” she cleared her throat, “seeing each other,” she ended diplomatically.
Willow shot her a glance but didn’t say anything.
“You both went by ‘Summers’ at the hospital but you’re not married are you? I just assume because you all call him ‘Spike’.”
She cleared her throat again, she had really wanted to talk to Willow about Spike, but not like this. It really was like Spike said; that in many ways they already were married, so what was the answer; Not yet, but we’ve been talking about it OR Yes, we accidentally eloped in Paris and we’re technically on our honeymoon but we’re probably going to have a wedding anyway?
Before Buffy could make up her mind about how to answer the question Willow chimed in, “Oh no, they got married a few months ago. William took her name but we have all known him so long we still just call him ‘Spike’ out of habit.”
Buffy gaped at her best friend, had Spike talked to her about their plans? Mrs Anderson smiled “Well I’m glad to hear it. It certainly makes me feel better knowing that she will be around people who are setting an example for a normal life.”
Buffy‘s eyebrows shot up “Normal?”
“Well, yes. It gives me hope that despite all this, that perhaps someday she can still settle down. She has never shown much interest in finding someone but now she won’t be at university. Maybe she’ll be able to get her nose out of her books long enough to focus on finding a good man and make a life for herself.”
Buffy caught Willow’s eye and she shook her head warningly. “Ahh huh, yup,” she tried to sound convincing. Any more comments like that and she wasn’t sure if she would be able to stop herself from breaking her nose. If Willow didn’t beat her to it first.
Ruby stood in front of the microwave waiting for the timer to go off. Her eyes kept darting towards the corner she had thrown the girls into. The memory of it mixed with the vision from the mind-walk were colliding violently in her brain and it was all she could do to stand still where she was. At least her stomach wasn’t trying to expel itself, although actually drinking the blood in her mug might not be so easy.
She was having very mixed feelings about blood. On one hand, her body and her demon demanded it, but at the same time the idea was repulsive to her. She figured that would just be one of those things she would have to come to terms with. She tried to distract herself by looking out the window towards the partially burned orchard and another pang of guilt shot through her.
Despite several of the girls receiving various injuries, only one Slayer had been lost in the attack and that was on her. She didn’t think they knew of the extent of her involvement in the attack and in some ways that was worse. Looking back at it now, she couldn’t blame the dark haired girl who had snuck in to beat the crap out of her while she’d been tied up in the utility room. She didn’t know the Slayer’s name but she did know that she had left the castle already. Which really just meant that she never had a chance to apologize. She couldn’t blame any of them for hating her and she knew she didn’t deserve their forgiveness, apologies be damned.
She took a deep breath to settle herself just as the microwave finished. She gathered their mugs and whisked them out to the living room where Spike waited for her. “Here ya go,” she murmured, setting it down in front of him.
“Ta, luv,” he eyed her carefully.
“So, what did you want to talk about?”
“Thought I’d start with an apology for last night. You did good. Buffy told me you took Odette out pretty easily.”
“Did she also tell you I was blind with rage?”
“Didn’t need to,” he sipped the blood.
“So is that what you wanted to talk about, me killing Odette?”
“Partly. Did Buffy tell you anything about our line?”
“Sort of, you were sired by your ex and she was sired by some bloke named Angel. Then from what I gathered from your outburst last night, I’m guessing that there was quite a bit o’ funny business going on between the three of you.”
He ignored the comment, “You’ll probably meet Angel before long and I rather hope you never meet Drusilla. Don’t much fancy seeing her again myself.”
“Why’s that?”
“Because Buffy will likely have to be the one to put her down when it really should be me or Angel who does it.”
“Oh…”
“There’s a lot there. I could start anywhere and just keep goin’ into next week. So let’s start with some questions. Anything you want, ask.”
Ruby puffed out her cheeks, “Why were you so upset last night when Buffy mentioned Odette?”
“Hadn’t given her a thought in years and thought she was dust long ago for starters. For all the carnage I’ve been responsible for over the years, I never really turned too many vampires. Turned Odette just to get back at Dru. I imagine it’s why she left you in the crypt the way she did, it’s what I’d done to her except that I was waiting there expecting a shag when she woke up.”
“You like to keep it in the family, huh?”
Spike laughed, “You’ve read Dracula, you got the gist of things. Stupid ponce and his bloody brides,” he grumbled and took a sip of blood.
“What?”
“Nevermind, I don’t think he’ll be gunning for Buffy again anytime soon so you won’t have to worry about that wanker. Go on, drink up. It’s best when it’s warm.”
She looked at her own cup, “He’s real?”
“Git still owes me money.”
Ruby gave him a look that said she would be expecting more of that story later, “Sure… so what’s the plan for me?” She took a tentative drink from her mug. It wasn’t Slayer blood but Spike had been right about the herbs. The sip turned into a gulp.
He watched her with interest as she gulped it down hungrily. She clearly hadn’t been feeding properly which he had expected. “Good question. I thought I’d start you out joining in with the Slayeretts’s training. You can fight, that comes standard with your demon. But there’s always more to learn. Don’t get complacent. The best way to take advantage of the whole immortality thing is to roll with changes.”
“Says the punk rock poster child?”
“Pot. Kettle. Changes can be slow and I quite like my hair this way so I’m not likely to change that anytime soon. That and it’s sort of what keeps me alive with the Slayeretts when we go on field trips.”
“Are you saying I should start dyeing my hair a distinctive color?” She smirked.
“Don’t get smart.”
“Can’t help that, just am.”
“Yeah alright smarty pants, there’s still a lot I want to cover with you.”
“The girls hate me,” she blurted out suddenly.
“True. Deloris was a sweetheart. The girls aren’t real happy with you being here. Won’t do anything with me and Buffy around though.”
“Yeah, sort of already got that message.”
“Yeah, well that is just something you’ve got to deal with. Fact of the matter is that we don’t really belong much of anywhere so we got to make our own place in the world. I sure as hell didn’t just wake up one day and say ‘Oh I’m just going to be good now’, not that I didn’t try. I was a sodding mess, one big bloody morally-gray mess for a couple of years. Trying to suss out what I should do and how I should act to make Buffy happy, make her tolerate me, even if she couldn’t love me. Then something happened… I— I lost control— I nearly hurt Buffy beyond forgiveness. If she hadn’t…” he flinched inwardly, he couldn’t bring himself to talk about that night. “If she hadn’t knocked some sense into me... Left in search of my soul just after that.” He added weakly.
“So that’s what you meant before. The thing about it being a grand gesture of love. You did it for her.”
Spike hung his head down, he had almost forgotten he had said anything to her about that, “I was out of my mind in love with her but the demon can’t really process love the same way as a human soul. It’s close. Damn close. But there’s this— line in between and I nearly crossed it. Knew I couldn’t look her in the eye. Not after she’d seen me for the monster I was. Not when all she deserves is a good man to support her in everything she does. I couldn’t blame her for hating me, so I went to find the thing that would turn me into the man she deserves. I got it; and everything fell apart after that. Lost my mind. Buffy helped me shove my marbles back in place.”
“But clearly things worked out between you, I mean you’re together now, and you seem sane enough.”
“Sure as hell wasn’t overnight. Whole thing is far too complicated to get into now. You’re coming along quickly but then I sort of figured you would, pipsqueak. You and I aren’t exactly brooders like Angel. Can crack a smile for starters.”
“You don’t like him much do you?”
“We’re getting on alright now. Lots of unpleasant history there. Some of its guilt. Angel is big on guilt. Blames himself for everything he did plus everything me and Dru ever did. Well I don’t know about Dru really. I don’t think he can look at her without feeling at least a little pride. She was his greatest masterpiece after all. And then when she turned me, he thought he’d take on a new pet project. Taught me everything I know. Tried to twist me to be just as nasty as him but it just never did quite work. No one was more twisted and sadistic than Angelus. I didn’t bother trying to be like him after a while, became my own monster as it were. Started hunting Slayers.”
“Until you fell in love with one.”
“Yup.”
“Almost sounds like you were searching for your soulmate even then.”
“Bollocks, didn’t have a soul,” he said a little too quickly. The truth was that it wasn’t a new thought. The idea had often kept him awake, especially just after he had first realized his feelings for her. The thought had crept back into the forefront of his mind after Buffy had told him about meeting his soul in the heaven dimension she was in.
“No, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some prophecy or something out there that says you were destined to fall in love with a Slayer.”
There was a ring of truth there that he wasn’t sure what to do with, so he just kept his response clipped. “What do you know about prophecies?”
“Nothing really. Willow has just been filling me in on some of the basic things she does with your group and mentioned something about them.”
“Good storyteller is she?”
“Could probably listen to her read the dictionary if I’m being honest.”
“Got it bad for the witch don’t you?”
She shrugged, “Not really a secret. She’s kind, sweet— generous.”
“You’re going to make your own choices no matter what I say but can I give you some advice?”
“It’s what you’re here for isn’t it?”
“Red is working on getting out of a crappy rebound relationship after losing the love of her life. A real nice girl I liked a lot too. Now Red clearly likes you, but the last thing that girl needs right now is some hot little thing twisting her head round.”
“But—“
“I’m not saying stay away from the girl. Just take it easy. Pump the breaks. Do you both a favor and take the time to get yourself right in the head first. By the time you do that, maybe the time will be right for you both.”
She nodded glumly, she suddenly wasn’t feeling as secure about her situation as she had less than a half hour ago when her parents were in the room. Now she was feeling almost claustrophobic, the weight of unknown possibilities pressing in on her. She looked at the thin layer of blood coating the bottom of the cup and grimaced.
“Ruby?”
“Hum?”
“You alright there?”
“Yeah, just thinking.”
“Willow?”
“Yeah but also— This soul thing, and the fighting evil thing and–”
“The blood?”
“Yeah…”
“You need your strength. You’ll get used to it, and so will the girls. Willow too. Just wait and see.”

airsLLide No. 3455: N342HA, Lockheed L-188PF Electra, Zantop International, Detroit-Willow Run, August 27, 1989.
Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti, Michigan, is located just a few miles West of Detroit Metropolitan Airport. While the latter serves the classic passenger airlines, Willow Run is, apart from some general aviation traffic, a dedicated cargo airport. For decades, it's core business was to serve the US automotive industry and its frequent need to ship spares and parts overnight.
In the glory days of the US carbuilders, several air freight carriers specialised to this need, basing their fleets of cargo aircraft at Willow Run and offering a network of scheduled cargo flights radiating from there. One such carrier - perhaps the best known of them - was Zantop International. In the late 1980s, it still employed a fleet of over 50 freighters: 25 Lockheed L-188 Electras and 14 Convair 580/640 turboprops accounted for the largest part of the fleet. They were joined by around eight to ten DC-8F-50/DC-8-62F jets that were used both for domestic cargo and international military transport flights. The last two or three of the once 16 aircraft strong fleet of Douglas DC-6 freighters were still kept serviceable, too, serving as stand-by aircraft in case of sudden, unforeseen demand.

Fear of flying
Pairing: Willow Nightingale x Fem reader
Description: Willow helps you overcome your fear of flying on planes
You have always had a fear of flying on planes that's why ever since the start of your career, you always drove or took a bus thankfully your habit of saving extra money always helped so you never had to fly. But now it seemed that all the luck you had of no flying but it seemed that luck had run out as you stand in the airport with your girlfriend Willow while waiting to board a flight for a ROH show, the two of you were currently in Boise, Idaho and it would be a six hour flight from boise to New York city and it was your first flight ever as anxiety and dread wash over you "Take deep breaths, if you get scared just hold my hand" you nod as the last call for the flight is heard feeling adrenaline flowing through you as you get on the plane and find your seats immediately grabbing and tightly holding onto willow's hand after buckling your seatbelt and the turbulence began which made your heart jump to your throat until it was finally over "Just breathe it's all good now". The first hour was a bit rough trying to calm your racing heart and churned stomach but everything was nice and smooth once you calmed it down with ginger ale and tums, the two of you eat and watch one of your favorite movies Wild hearts can't be broken before falling asleep waking up later on to see that it was 2:00 AM "Just got four more hours" you smile as she kisses the crown of your head listening to music on your phone until the plane landed feeling relieved once you were off the plane but you also didn't feel afraid as you watch another plane take off before heading to the hotel for a bit before working out and training with a few of your friends "Thank you for earlier baby" willow smiles pulling you into a hug as you get out of the bathroom after showering and drying off, "Just doing what I always do for my girl and that's take care of her" she kisses you softly before grabbing food from the cafe down the street and going to a movie theater watching a replay of Mrs Doubtfire.
