Hello! I just discovered your blog and I immediately became captivated by your webcomic, but I'm unsure where to read all of it. I know it's on Webtoons, but I can see it hasn't been updated for a while, and you still post about it.

Are your physical novels just prints of the webcomic? Are they a continuation? Is the story complete? Thanks in advance!

Glad you found me and are enjoying my comic!

It's only on webtoons, and the story is not complete yet! We're 2/3 of the way through right now. It's currently on hiatus, and it's scheduled to come back in about 2 months!

I'll explain why it's been so long if you're curious, but also for my followers who might also be wondering about it under the cut. Sorry, it's pretty much just me complaining haha

I took a month off I took 2 months to get the books printed I took a month to prepare my next comic and I took 2 months to write the rest of the series (I knew the character arcs I wanted, but not the time periods or mysteries!!!) I've been working on actual episodes since then

I had to take some time off because of some pretty extreme burnout due to the sheer amount of work it was to draw over 800 pages and write 6 complete stories in a year and a half... I was getting sick almost weekly due to the overwork, it was really really bad honestly. I was having to work 60+ hours every week just to keep up...

The nature of the comic itself is also difficult... Each of the arcs is a complete, self contained story which can be read (ideally) without context, and my arcs need to be about 10-13 episodes each... And since I have an exact number of episodes to work with, it's even harder.

It takes a ton of planning and a ton of refinement, and working week to week with no breaks I was forced to put out second or even first drafts, so I just wasn't happy with the work I was doing... And to do that for the rest of the series? I wouldn't be proud of the work I did.

Plus... To be entirely honest, webtoon has treated me quite badly IN MY OPINION... They deprioritized me before I launched (I had to beg for more promotion, I'm not exaggerating), they outright denied me the opportunity to even ask for a raise, I don't make any money on fast pass and they pay me less than my partner makes working at trader joes. My first editor left me completely hanging, my second editor (who I loved) was fired... And they told me I wouldn't get a third season before my first season even finished. So it was just repeatedly completely demoralizing.

I'm sorry it has taken so long, it'll have been 10 months by the time I come back. But I realized... I won't get promotion either way. I won't get more episodes either way. I won't get more money either way. So to finish everything, to make it feel good, to make it something I'm proud of, I chose to take longer to make it better.

I am fully aware I will lose a significant amount of my readership for this and it might genuinely affect my career moving forward. But it's what I had to do! So I'm sticking to my guns on it, and I'm confident long term it'll be worth it. It never could have been this good if I didn't take this much time.

Recently I've been on several very long car journeys with my mum, so of course, I persuaded her to listen to TMA! As a result, here's how she's been picturing the characters:

Jon: Older guy, kind of thin, tall but not overly tall, grey hair. (I showed her the popular design for Jon and she literally said "No!! They made him look too cool!!!")

Martin: younger, shorter, short brown hair, always smiling. ("obviously until things got super serious in the archives... " ).

Sasha: Average height, midsize, short bobbed darkish hair dyed red. (she said she couldn't picture sasha's face, which is kinda poetic.)

Tim: very tall, lanky.

Melanie: very short blonde hair with dark roots, quite petite, quite pretty.

Micheal (distortion): short black hair, pale, haunted look. (I don't know how she came to this conclusion, we listened to all of his episodes... The heart wants what the heart wants 😌 Although there is a chance that she's mentally combined both Micheals.)

Gertrude: much older, very short curly grey hair but not in a boyish way, glasses, very short, a bit round.

Daisy: short dark hair, petite, formidable...("you know, powerful like some smaller women are...")

Elias: "I can't picture him, he's just like... A blob of evil with his evil voice..."

Something that just occurred to be is that is isn't extremely weird for Neku and Sho to only be allowed to use one pin at a time? Because we know for sure that in the og Neku was able to use six of them and we can easily guess that Sho could as well, given his Imagination level. It's likely that Beat could, too, but I'm not well versed enough in the og's gameplay to tell.

In any case, neither Neku nor Sho can use more than one pin at once. Another piece of dialogue from Sho also reveals that the level caps on the pins have been removed, making them usable by any player regardless of their level.

Those two factors are some pretty big changes—we see how surprised Sho is when he realizes the latter. My question is: how were they made possible?

There is no reason why Kariya or Uzuki, when in control of Shibuya, would make those changes. Joshua wouldn't have either, because they make no sense in Shibuya's Game. So that only leaves Shiba, who probably made them to fit Shinjuku's rules better. Only thing is, that Sho has been Conductor before, so he should have been aware that this was a possibility. Yet his reaction makes me believe that he never considered it possible (it is possible that he didn't consider it simply because he didn't think about it or because it wouldn't have helped him with his plans anyway, but I think he genuinely didn't know it could be done) which then leads to the logical conclusion of: only a higher power could've done this.

I believe Kubo's the one who made those changes to Shibuya's Game, or Shiba, but thanks to Kubo's powers—in any case, it's a intervention of the Higher Plane. Sho isn't stupid and probably guessed it right away. I am thus adding this to the list of hints he got in order to guess who was behind all of this

I’m an artist now and I realised that means I can share with you my like decade old AU ideas.

Anyway, this is Nova the very real, organic, not at all robotic Hedgehog. He is very definitely not Neo Metal Sonic in disguise as a normal hedgehog to try and trick Sonic into a false sense of security while he steals the data of all his friends and then takes over the world he is just a scared teenager who was kidnapped for Reasons by Eggman and definitely did not stage her appearance. He is very normal and knows what gender is.

Jokes aside, the idea for this AU was a sort of alternate-Heroes, where Neo Metal Sonic didn’t act like a dramatic bitch and, well, y’know, instigate the whole plot of Heroes but instead used his shapeshifting ability to disguise himself as a normal non-metal non-Sonic hedgehog and infiltrate them from the inside while stealing their DNA without anyone being any the wiser by staging a situation Sonic would have to “save” him from. Admittedly very badly he cannot resist pointless cruelty and violence but it still definitely left an impression.

Sonic is very fucking confused as to why this weird hedgehog is alternating between gleeful violence and paralysing fear along with snarky banter to weirdly stiff attempts at normal friendly interaction but like, he's made friends in weirder situations and this Nova fellow(?) seems kinda sad and lonely and looks like he’s about to cry whenever he recieves the slightest kindness so how dangerous can he really be? (Very.)

Actually, while I’m already on the “Mito doesn’t have a canonical personality, I can write her however I please, and if I wanna make her a barn girl I fucking can” topic:

Hashirama meets Mito in the hustle and bustle of Uzushio’s market while he’s on a diplomatic mission and Mito draws his attention by being the loudest of all, currently arguing with a trader over his prices for the textiles, so close to starting a fist fight with a civilian. This scoundrel, does he think her dumb?! Does he think she doesn’t know the quality ain’t worth shit?! She’s going to bring these textiles she could use to wipe her ass with at most over to his mother and tell her the outrageous prices he tries to sell them, let’s see what his mommy would think when she finds out what a swindler her son in truth is!

Hashirama falls in love immediately. Has the wedding already planned out. It’s going to be a spring wedding, because of course it is. He only needs to talk to her now—which he does. He walks over, hearts in his eyes, and makes a bouquet for her with his mokuton.

Unfortunately for him, she doesn’t realize that’s the Hokage, so she just gives him a lookover once before calling him a fuckin’ hippie and walking away. Hashirama is even more smitten. Luckily, he’s staying for a whole week and Mito just happens to be one of Uzushio’s greatest seal masters, so he gets to see her at the main estate anyway.  

Ultimately, he wins her over by showing her the cool poisonous shit he can create. The Forest of Death in Konoha might or might be a (failed) experiment of Hashirama’s mokuton mixed with Mito’s seals trying to see if she can enhance the effects but that’s a story for another time.

"Stay Dead" for the WIP game?

Hello, @hirazuki; thank you for the ask!

"Stay Dead" is a crack fic based off the idea I saw in a post that elves can be reincarnated faster if they have already died, and the more times they have died, the faster they can come back. Since Finrod is one of the elves we canonically know was reincarnated, in what could be read as a rather quick manner, it follows that he must have died quite a few times before fighting the wolves, right? This fic explores the idea of how and why this could have happened in a hopefully humorous way. (At least with the ending; the rest of it is going to be treated mostly seriously.)

Here's a snippet of Námo being jealous:

Námo sighed. He didn't mind. Of course he didn't mind that Vairë was entranced by the only fëa in their Halls. He didn't mind that she spent days talking non-stop with the other weaver. He didn't mind the weeks she spent showing her every single tapestry, every color of thread, and every size of loom. He didn't mind how Vairë's eyes lit up when she talked with the spirit and the enthusiasm in her voice as they discussed thread weights and colors. Of course he didn't. How could he begrudge his wife her joy, especially since he had foreseen the close bond the two would have?
