Stiles and Derek who beat the absolute shit out of each other if they even make eye contact. They are like feral cats and absolutely cannot be in the same room together or they will pick up the nearest heavy object and throw it full force.

But of course they also fuck any and everywhere they can. Derek bites and scratches every part of Stiles he can reach and Stiles licks the blood from Derek's lips and gums because he broke the guy's nose and he is deliberately forcing it not to heal.

The killing gas in Burrow's End reminded me so much of a 1993 movie called Once Upon a Forest where a truck containing hazardous chemicals crashes near a forest and the fumes make the baby animal characters who live there sick and they have to go on a quest to find a cure. The scenes where you watch the slow, inexorable movement of the poisonous air into the forest towards the animal characters who didn't and couldn't understand what was happening was so so horrifying to me as a child

The fact that transponder snails are apparently also just captive wild snails. Is……..a choice.

Because what even are the logistics of this? Can all snails become transponder snails? How do they change clothes so quickly? Is there a transponder snail accessory store where you can get matching outfits and accessories for your snail like we do with phones? Are they sold or can you catch one wild? Do you need to train it? Just on what airwaves are they opperating. Is there a radius they can only take a call within? Do you have to pay for connection like are the snail 🐌 plans? Do you have to buy all the accessories the snail would need to change into or are they home made? Or does it just do that. Do you have to have a phone dedicated to people you call often so the snail can constinstently stay dressed that way? Because Doffy had hundreds. Are snail phone accessories a billion dollar business?

And finally what are the ethics on breeding snails soley for communication? And how do you even begin to do taht? Who was the first person to look at a snail go; you, 🐌? I have have plans for you. Who was that crazy bastard.

Is keeping sea slugs difficult? I love them and probably won't get them anytime soon because cats but if I ever do...

i’d say it’s pretty difficult, yeah. depends on what species you’re looking at, but all nudibranchs (and ‘things-that-get-labeled-as-nudibranchs-even-though-they-technically-aren’t, like the blue velvet slugs i just got) are very picky eaters and will often Exclusively eat one type of food down to species. the ‘easiest’ are probably lettuce slugs, as they’re algae grazers, but even then some say they’ll only eat certain species of macroalgae.

i have two species of slugs in my nano reef right now— berghia nudibranchs and the blue velvet slugs. i bought them because i have an excess of pest animals that they both prey on exclusively (aiptasia anemones for the berghia and flatworms for the velvets) and can’t control these pests via chemical means (for the safety of the other animals in my tank) or mechanical (they’re very hard to fully remove and i have hand tremors anyway), but it’s often accepted that if you don’t have a good supply of what these guys eat, they’ll starve to death pretty fast.

of the two, i’d honestly say the berghia nudis are generally easier to keep - lot of people will breed them and just keep a separate tank full of aiptasia to feed them with, since they’re very fast growing anemones. blue velvets are a bit harder because they’ve got short lifespans as-is and flatworms are hard to get ahold of except for by accident, while some people purposefully culture and sell aiptasia as feeders.

i’m taking a STRONG gamble with my slugs, and honestly i’m only doing it because i have a fair amount of confidence in my ability to maintain good water conditions, but even then it’s not bulletproof. they’re one of those things where even if you do everything “right”, they still might not thrive because we don’t really know them as well as we know, say, shrimp or corals just yet. for me this is really my only option for handling my flatworm problem, so i’m taking that risk, but it may not work out and i’m prepared for that outcome.

i’m hoping the will continue to improve when it comes to getting better at keeping and breeding these animals, though, because they’re very cool! while i can’t say i’d want to see them wild-caught in the pet trade, the ability to aquaculture them would be a huge step. and it would be wonderful to see them in aquariums more often :)

I think I have seen people be opposed to the thought of Anabel cursing or being anything but demure and polite (and I certainly have been on the receiving end of those who hated the way i depict her LOOOL)

I do think she would use curse words once in a blue moon and choose a very blunt yet elegant way of showing her true feelings, but by all means the lady isn't just a "oh so perfect and placid" character. It feels boring... As though people expect her to be repressed, shy at every romantically and sexually intimate encounter.

i think she should get to be a bit of a ""freak"" (can i even call her that if her kinks are all relatively vanilla) as a treat. I think Looker should be bamboozled by her eagerness BECAUSE he opened that door-- her proverbial Pandora's Box.

Otherwise, her politeness and prudishness is simply what she displays outwardly to save face and set a good impression or just how she is. Her inner thoughts are for her and her special someone to enjoy in private.

the thing is—it's not that having a pet doesn't have certain limited similarities with having a kid (i say, only ever having had the first), but—when a kid gets you up in the wee hours sounding unusually distressed, i feel like the odds are probably at least a little lower that it's because they've caught a mouse they want you to deal with??

I finished my cosplay in time for the con!!! It had an amazing time and a surprising amount of people actually recognized my Verosika cosplay!

Also the con even reposted my pic on their status!!!

I'm still not sure how I feel about posting pics of me on this blog which is why all of these are sorta positioned to hide my face (thus they aren't the best pics but eh this blog is a personal diary not a cosplay blog)

I'm gonna be honest looking forward to this con has been the main thing getting me through this month and I'm happy to say it didn't disappoint.

The day con was great (tho I think next time I go to a con I'd like to spend more time making new friends. Compared to my first few cons nowadays I mostly just hang out with the people I already know)

Then me and my friend drove around and got food to kill the hour before the night even started

The night event was super fun, 18+, and chaotic. Even if the food that was supposed to be served came super late (not surprising for this con as it always seems to have something go wrong with it's food. I swear it's like they're cursed!)

I changed up my cosplay a bit to be a bit more comfy and much warmer for the night!

overall it was a 10/10 con experience and definitely got me hyped for our big con that's coming up in July!

There was also a lot of cool artists that I bought so much stuff from :) I cannot control myself when I see a small artist at a con 😅
