I have to say my #truth, and that is I don’t really like the title for any of the wicked powers books. All of them sound like Star Wars names

“The last king of faerie”

“The last prince of hell”

“The last shadowhunter”

Does this mean that Kit Herondale will be our Luke Skywalker???

Also I’m being so for real that if the series ends with the shadowhunters not being needed anymore / going extinct I WILL fight someone. Worst possible ending in my opinion.

imagine if julian's lighter (the one ty used to keep as a fidget toy) was handpainted by him randomly and when ty played with it he would drag his fingers over the paint to feel the texture. and he'd be too scared to light it, afraid it might melt the paint off.

re: dialects: sort of. i’m from new england and have a habit of forgetting that the replacement of “wicked” for “very” isn’t universal. i think that one can be understood by people, but it’s not used everywhere so it’s sort of a dead giveaway of author’s voice. always feels especially out of place when writing southern USamerican characters

Lmao, yeah, im from the southern US so writing characters from California or up north i have to stop and be like they probably wouldn't say that sometimes.

Or more often "they wouldn't shorten that sentence into 1 contraction" like y'all'd've (you all would have) or helluva (hell of a) or even y'all and imma sometimes. But also, that's something when i do get to write southern characters i have a lot of fun with lol.

I just remembered when Ty and Kit first met, Ty pressed a blade to Kit's throat. I don't remember the exact type, I want to say a dagger, but it's been a year since I read Lady Midnight, so my recollection isn't the best. (I need to reread the trilogy already 😅)

Now then, if when Ty and Kit see each other again and one of them presses a sword or something against the other's throat, I will go insane! Absolutely feral! But in the best way possible. I honestly don't care who does it, and I'll be fine if that doesn't happen.

I just can't stop imagining it. And it's become brain rot. I think the best part is that no matter who presses the blade against the other's throat, it's such a full circle moment. Like if it's Ty, then it's a 'Remember how they first met?' moment. If it's Kit, then it highlights how far he's come and changed since he last saw Ty. Both of these possibilities fill me with so much joy. Like I can’t even explain. The beauty of having a favorite ship and brain rot, am I right?

No matter what, if this happens, I will go feral.
