What does the dead dove tag mean?

Wonderful question!

“Dead Dove” comes from this scene in Arrested Development wherein the character Michel Bluth opens a brown paper bag that reads: DEAD DOVE: DO NOT EAT. He looks inside and sees what is in fact, a dead dove. The then says: “Well, I don’t know what I expected.”

In fandom, the tag has come to mean: “pay extra attention to the tags!” And/or “this fic is what it says on the tin!”.

So if, for example, a fic includes the tags: Body Horror, Gore, and Violence along with the Dead Dove: Do Not Eat tag, the author is saying “Hey I’m not joking about these tags! Read at your own discretion!”

The tag acts as an honest intensifier to whatever tags are already in the work, as the author using it wants to give a double warning for their content, that it may be triggering and that the reader should proceed with caution.

Just getting some rest after a job of collecting scrap for his next project. I wanted to start drawing things for my OC's birthdays this year so one of the first few, very fitting it starts with my first Khr OC too huh? While Vittorio's birthday is in the winter, he actually doesn't work during the time, preferring to take a break during them because fighting in the snow is... unideal and he needs a break sometime in the year, at least that's what he reasons for it. Though usually it's how much money he manages to save before the break that determines how long he actually gets to rest. Usually having to get back to work about mid january anyway. Just in time for he himself to forget his own birthday.

Name: Laurel

Status: Deceased

Overview: The mother of Reborn and Cecil. She's been many things in her life; a hitwomen, Daniela's first Sun Guardian, [Spoiler], and a mother. Roughly around the time she was pregnant with Cecil she cut off all ties with her past (except Reborn) and went into hiding in a small town in the northern part of the United States. There she would raise Cecil as a civilian, watch him grow into a good man far from the friends and family she once treasured, and ironically cultivate his desire to become a detective.

She died in a fire.

The official report from the investigators state that fire was caused by faulty wiring. She lived in an old house after all and who knows how many things needed upkeep. Laurel was found near the entryway of her home, presumably trying to escape when a beam must have fallen down on her. They ignore how the door to her home was found wide open when they arrived on the scene. Cecil doesn't. That lone detail will be one that haunts him all the way to Namimori and for months after as he unravels the secrets of his mother's death.
