Thinking offfff the two times someone hallucinated Luka for another person, the different ways these illusions are ‘broken’, and hence the reasoning why Luka reacted in the way he did.

It’s important to note the constant variable between Mizi and Till and why they hallucinate: Both lost a partner by facing them in a televised previous round that has left them traumatised, distracted, and mentally weak. Luka who has hardened to his experience on the stage, would have been able to analyse Mizi and Till’s performances and mimic those mannerisms to his advantage.

I say distracted particularly because more than anything Luka is at his best when he’s performing, and he wants to perform with someone who feels the same way, someone who goes all-in to their performance.

We see him try to elicit this concept of a ‘perfect partner’ forcefully first in Round 5 as he constantly invades Mizi’s space, trying to get her attention - make her feel present. It’s foreshadowed in this shot as he becomes all she sees (looking away from Sua on the big screen)

Luka smiles as he is beaten up as Mizi punching him is a sign of her ‘giving it her all’. She is no longer distracted by the things that hold her ‘performance’ back and is focusing on him.

A similar thing happens in Round 7, Luka imitates the same mannerisms of Ivan in Round 6 and just like Mizi Till throughout it tries to get away. Luka smiles to himself in the moments Till is ‘present’.

What’s different to Round 5 however is Till does break out of the hallucination. The way his gaze once fixated on Luka looks away from him and to the REAL Mizi in the crowd (also note the red light in his eyes for fake!Ivan turning to a pink sparkle when looking at Mizi).

Luka is PISSED because he no longer has Till’s attention. Till no longer singing for him or the version of him Luka set up for him to respond to. Luka isn’t mad about losing (he’s biased to win anyway) but by Till ruining what they could have had as a ‘perfect performance’ by getting distracted. The illusion of a perfect partner dies in Luka’s eyes just as the seeing Ivan as a trauma response dies for Till…… He didn’t match Luka’s freak 😔

Luka knew that Marinette was Ladybug. Actually, he'd known for a while. What he didn't know was how long Marinette had known that he knew.

She didn't tell him so, but he saw it in how she reacted to him. She didn't feel as much need for excuses, often not saying anything before racing off as soon as there were signs of an akuma. He hadn't particularly done anything to dissuade the idea that he knew either, partly because it was true but also because he wasn't sure what to do with the information himself.

When he was certain she knew was a day on the Liberty where he'd found her idling on her phone. The other girls had headed up onto the deck, but Marinette had remained in the lounge room for whatever reason and he was genuinely curious about it.

"What are you doing?" he asked, stepping up to her and slipping his hands into his pockets.

"Luka!" She giggled innocently. "I didn't know you were here! You weren't playing anything."

"I was meditating," he said, though eyed her body language with suspicion. Her logic for not knowing he was around checked out, but he felt as if she wasn't telling the truth. He only ignored it because he couldn't figure out why she would lie about it.

"Oh. I'm just playing a new game that came out." She raised her phone as close to his face as she could.

He noted the main menu and the characters strewn about, recognizing them instantly as the superheroes that fought against akuma, such as Ladybug and even himself. He tilted his head to look past the phone at her, asking, "What's it about?"

She scooched to the side despite the already available space on the couch, then patted the spot where she'd been sitting. He wasn't a big fan of gaming himself, but he was a big fan of Marinette, so he sat in the spot she'd offered up and listened intently to her talk.

"You pick one character to start," she explained, indicating the various options on-screen, "and then the more levels you play, the more coins you get, and you can use it to buy upgrades or more characters."

"You buy characters?" He blinked.

She laughed, giving him a playful nudge in the arm. "You really don't play games, do you?"

His heart stuttered as she squished herself against him, allowing both of them a decent view of her phone. She tapped at the screen to proceed to the actual game and he tried very hard to focus on that and not the warmth to his side.

"It helps when you get a second character. You can pair them up and go on for longer since it's two instead of just one," she explained as she scrolled through various menus.

Luka also tried to not focus on the phrase 'pair them up,' which wasn't difficult at first, but then he saw the character selection screen and—

"Ladybug and Viperion," he noted.

"Hm~?" She stopped scrolling to point at the two. "Yeah, they're the pair I have."

"Only Ladybug and Viperion." That still wasn't a proper sentence, so he clarified, "You only have Ladybug and Viperion."

"Oh." She uttered it like she hadn't known when she definitely did. "Yeah? You only need two, so why should I waste my coins on anyone else when I could spend it upgrading the pair I have?"

He could think of multiple reasons. He wasn't sure how the game worked, but he imagined that the superheroes still had different powers and there were benefits depending on which two were paired up.

As if reading his mind, Marinette tapped the top edge of her phone to her chin and insisted, "Viperion's underrated. His power's not flashy, but it's really useful and he's perfect for someone like Ladybug."

His cheeks felt warm. What she was saying sounded like a casual observation of efficiency, but her voice was singing a different tune. The playful sparkle in her blue eyes as she peered up at him supported that.

"Really?" he asked quietly.

"Mhm~" She looked down at her phone again, then turned it to him to show the Ladybug and Viperion on the screen. "Their colors are even complementary. Don't they look good together?"

Never mind. His face felt hot. She even wiggled the phone at him, her smile shy but her gaze not leaving his as she waited for an answer.

Was this a punishment of sorts? Was he being tormented for not saying that he knew her identity? Was she really asking him such a thing when she already knew his feelings? Had she planned this, and that's why she was alone?

He opened his mouth, then decided he needed another second to think and cleared his throat instead. "Wouldn't that be up to them?"

It seemed like an obvious answer, but her smile widened further as if he'd passed a test. He didn't think she was actually testing him, but something of his did certainly feel tested: his sanity.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." Marinette sighed, pulling away from him to slump against the backrest. Taking one more look at her phone and scrutinizing the image on the screen, she asked, "Do you think Viperion would be patient enough for someone like her?"

Caught off guard, he turned his body to better face her. "What?"

"For Ladybug. She must be busy since she's always dealing with akuma," she pointed out, waving a hand outwards, "so they wouldn't be able to date until she's dealt with Hawk Moth."

For a second, he thought she was continuing to tease him, but then it clicked for him what she was building to. She'd been playful, yet was using the conversation to tell him that they wouldn't be able to date.

Which meant that she reciprocated, something his brain was still scrambling to process, but she also felt like she couldn't act upon it due to Hawk Moth. Talking about Ladybug and Viperion as separate entities had been to keep things safe in case any of the girls returned while serving as a way of mentally distancing herself from it. It was an unpleasant realization to wrestle with against the delight of knowing that she felt the same as he did.

"I'm..." He reached over, slipping his hand over the one holding her phone. "I'm sure he wouldn't mind, no matter how busy she was."

To his confusion, she shook her head almost adamantly. He wondered if perhaps she was going to argue that 'Viperion' wouldn't mean it if he was to say such a thing, but she instead said, "I think Ladybug would want better for him than that; she'd want to be able to put herself into the relationship without Hawk Moth in the way." She stared at their hands on her phone with a soft smile. "Besides, I bet it'd be a motivator."

He leaned closer, noting how her voice had lowered in volume. "How?"

With a sheepish giggle, she replied, "Wouldn't Ladybug want to defeat Hawk Moth that much more if she knew the reward was getting to ask her future boyfriend out?"

His heart pounded, his hand on hers giving off a slight shake. What had started as a bit of joking around had grown into something more heartfelt and serious, with him suddenly wondering if Ladybug could use any of his input on how to best find out Hawk Moth's identity.

Chuckling affectionately yet with just as much longing as her, he promised, "If Ladybug is even half as amazing as he already thinks, Viperion will beat her to it when Hawk Moth's gone."

i love shipping as much as the next person but i also really like to focus on just the characters and their dynamics outside of a shipping thing.

like for example, i LOVE olivia. i love her deeply. i even have an entire au centered around her and how she would react to losing someone she cared about. i want to explore her character more, and i think it's lovely that she's sarcastic and intelligent. i also wish she wasn't just completely reduced to being a "mom friend" or just to be shipped with axel.

i LOVE axel x olivia. i think they're very cute. but i would like it if they weren't completely boiled down to that.

speaking of axel: I LOVE AXEL!!!! he's protective and stubborn and selfish but nearing the end he sets aside his selfishness to nearly sacrifice himself to protect his friends. AND THAT'S AMAZING. but everyone just . demonizes him for being mean to lukas for a while [AND HE WAS MEAN RIGHTFULLY SO.] and. also. btw. axel is fat. axel is fat why does everyone just draw him skinny he's LITERALLY FAT IT IS, WHILE UNFORTUNATELY SAID VIA FAT JOKES, LITERALLY TOLD TO YOUR FACE that he is FAT. there is nothing WRONG with being fat. do you think. that making him skinny. will right the wrongs of those jokes. EVERYONE JUST. everyone just boils harper down to being ivor's wife. hey i love their dynamic and i think they're a very cute couple. but i would like a bit of more focus on harper's character herself and her dynamics with everyone else. she's snappy, she's sarcastic and quick-witted, she feels deep guilt and is desperately trying to convince herself that it wasnt her fault. she knows what's going on, and she feels so much fucking guilt. AND I WANT THAT EXPLORED. I WANT THAT EXPLORED AS MUCH AS IVOR'S GUILT IS EXPLORED. im gonna fucking lose it. i love harper and everyone just. uurrrghhhh.

this is what i see the most in the mcsm fandom and. honestly. i genuinely wish that people would look more into these characters rather than just boiling them down to Basic Traits.

Do you think Luka was a doormat for Marinette? If so, how?

Sort of? One of the reasons Luka annoyed me so much during seasons 2 and 3 (Aside from Lukanette shippers having a habit of demonizing Adrien, Alya, etc), was that he didn't actually seem to have any emotions or ambitions beyond being there for Marinette, to the point that it felt like he was some imaginary boyfriend she cooked up. I really like to try to see things from other characters' perspectives, but when I tried to do that for Luka, I just felt like I was getting brainwashed.

Luka doesn't feel any emotions that would be inconvenient for Marinette in those early seasons, like jealousy at being a second choice, desire to actively compete for her perspective, or anything except wanting to patiently be there for her if she decided she wanted him, and complete acceptance without a hint of bitterness if she chose someone else. I'm not saying he should have been a jerk about it, but he's so chill and has so few problems that it feels inhuman. I far preferred the plotline with Adrien's and Kagami's relationship, Kagami reacted way more like a normal person who has wants and desires of her own. During seasons 2 and 3, the most that Luka was developed outside of his relaitonship with Marinette, is the 30 second clip in Reflekdoll where we see him assuring Juleka. That at least indicates that he HAS relationships outside of just Marinette.

That being said, Luka DID improve in seasons 4 and 5, if only a little. He's still more chill and accepting than I think is natural or healthy, but with his playing therapist to so many people in Migration, it's shown to be a "him" thing, rather than him inexplicably being warped around Marinette in particular. In Truth, it's shown that he IS bothered by Marinette constantly running off and lying to him, even if he's way more accepting about it than he has any right to be. He DOES feel hurt, even if he suppresses it.

Most importantly, he's given emotional baggage of his own, with feeling insecure and abandoned due to his father abandoning him and Juleka, not even knowing who he was. I love that as Truth, he actually got to be ANGRY at Jagged for that abandonment. And afterwards, there were several episodes that touched on his and Juleka's developing relationship with their father, giving Luka more of an anchor in the story outside of just Marinette.

So basically, yeah, I do think Luka's a doormat not only for Marinette, but really for anyone he cares about. He's good at standing up to random jerks, but not at standing up to those who knows don't have any malicious intentions, but still end up hurting him.

But I also think that with how the newer seasons have developed Luka, there's some interesting space to delve into WHY Luka feels the need to subjugate his own emotions, wishes, and desires so much - because it's been proven that he does have them, and doesn't just exist for any particular person's sake in the story.

Martin is only briefly mentioned in a couple statements but never directly or at least not as a focal point.

1995

He appears first in the statement of Molly Blaire's statement about her Neighbor Eleonore's illness.

Molly Blaire was considered a neighborhood Betty, peeking out her windows watching the lives of her neighbors for entertainment. Which led her to discover that Eleonore Blackwood had a rather foul temperament whenever her husband was away on business, and that her prime target was her son. A rather lonely boy who Molly could not remember the name of only that it started with an M.

The events of the statement don't occur until after the boys disappearance in early 1994, which is quickly followed by Eleonore being abandoned by her husband.

That is the last mention of him in that statement.

1998

He is briefly mentioned in the statement of Roderick Steele a dock worker regarding finding himself lost on the piers. Claiming to find himself alone on a previously crowded dock, as if every person had disappeared into thin air. This event happened after finding a child wandering the docks. But when he tried approaching the boy to see if he was lost he was confronted by a large frightening man.

2001

Darius Garner makes note of a teenager on the Tundra during his employment. The boy didn't seem to be part of the crew and didn't perform any daily tasks like the rest of the attendance. Often seen working on textbooks or other unusual tasks to see on a ship. He describes the strange absence the boy left in his wake though he hardly spoke a word and how he affected the crew. Darius only discovered that the boy was Captain Luka's son in the later half of his voyage, and is only referred to as the young captain.

2008

The last mention is made by Bianca Harper regarding her sister's poetry obsession and disappearance.

Bianca's sister Clair had always fancied herself as a poet and poetry enthusiast. Often seeking out published works from new upcoming poets. Which is how she stumbled upon a collection by a person by the name of M K Blackwood. Clair's regard for the book started out rather mundane, until she found one poem in particular;

"If lonely souls help each other

Then I must find one as sad as I

But I've searched the world

And haven't yet

And have to wonder why"

Clair would repeat it over and over and as she did the less she would reach out. And the dimmer she would become like all the life had drained out of her and all she could say was those five lines. Until one day it was like she never existed at all.

Jon does make the connection between the statement in 1995 to the 2008 statement as possibly referring to the same M Blackwood, but nothing that would connect to Martin.

Jing Yuan: He spits out the tea he is drinking, you ugly, how did you ever come to that conclusion? He is genuinely shocked that you view yourself like that, he might just need to convince you how lovely you really are.

So now you are kidnapped, Jing Yuan makes sure to sit down with you in front of a mirror, he kisses your burn over and over again, all while complimenting you between every kiss and he forces you to watch yourself in the mirror, he wont stop until you call yourself beautiful.

"Finally you see just how pretty you are, now we will do this every day until I am convinced you're not just saying it for me to stop"

Welt: He is always looking at your scar in sadness, it isn't because he thinks you're ugly, hell no. He just feels sad that he wasn't there to protect you from ever getting that scar, he makes extra sure that no more scars will ever paint your body.

And the part of you viewing yourself as ugly, Welt wont stop complimenting you, he wants you to love yourself just as much as he loves you. Because in the end he will protect you even from your own self doubts.

Luka: He always brushed his thumb over your scar, not his mechanical arm mind you, he doesn't want you uncomfortable, he reminds himself of why he kidnapped you, you are so delicate and fragile, this scar only proves it.

All Luka wants is to love and protect you. You aren't ugly, come on don't say that, whenever you say something self-deprecating he is always ready with some comback or another, he wants you to realise just how much he loves you and just how beautiful you are.

All of them met because of their parents. Their parents are wealthy and business partners so it only made sense that their children spent a lot of time together 

Luka and Mae have been best friends since the first time they met. Luka’s playful personality helped a shy Mae get out of his shell.Eden on the other hand took time to warm up with the other two. It was easier for him to befriend Mae first as he wasn't a troublemaker like Luka, just more outgoing. 

Luka tried for years to get Mae to be his friend and somewhere along the way he did soften Eden’s heart with his attempts. 

By middle school the boys were best friends.They didn't spend a lot of time in school together as they all had different priorities. Luka is always flirting with girls, Mae hanging around his ridiculously large friend group and Eden working hard to make a name for himself and keep his friends (mainly Luka) out of trouble. But, no matter what, all three of them always ate lunch together and had the same chauffeur take them home.   

When highschool rolls around it wasn't unusual for the boys to spend extended periods of time in any one of their houses. They're usually at Edens since his parents were always abroad so they're out of the house more than the other two’s parents. Afterschool usually consists of Eden doing student council work/homework and Mae and Luka talking about anything under the sun before eden yells at them to be quiet and do their work too. People always whisper about how those three are friends but it never bothers them. It's quite funny to them actually. 

The boys have talked about if they ended up liking the same person and they all agreed they would rather share or accept that that person only wants to date one/none of them. They've been such good friends for so long. Why wouldn't they? 

When they graduated, their parents gifted them a penthouse apartment. They would pay for the boys rent as long as they didnt get in too much trouble (luka 🤨) and they stayed in university. They were already basically living together minus when they went home to sleep and their parents were never around so this arrangement wasn't much of a change for the boys. 

So when they bumped into you the three of them already knew they didn't need to have a conversation of who would get you. You belonged to all of them. Mae was definitely the first to make more of an appearance in your life. He has so many friends it's not usual for him to talk to different groups of people but he would start using it as a cover to watch you. If you go into the library to study or use the computer Mae will follow behind and sit with a group near you or make conversation with the librarian. He will eventually be more forward with hanging out with you but you have to be a little patient. He's shy when he likes someone. 

Luka is more forward in following you around. He’ll start sitting next to you in classes you may share or popping up outside of your class after it ends to walk you to your next destination. It's unusual for him to feel this way about someone. He had made advances towards you and whether you react like he would expect you to or not this flirting felt more real to him like there was supposed to be a different outcome from it other than sex. He wanted to make you blush with his comments and not just to get into your pants; he wants to see you smile when he calls you beautiful and entange your fingers with his as he's walking down the street. 

Eden will use his position of power to make you come to him. He’ll have people follow you around and report you for the smallest of things which gets you into his office without having to ask directly. He’ll ask why you’ve been acting out lately while you try to figure out why you got in trouble in the first place. He will (demand) suggest that your punishment be helping him out with student council things like paper work and organizing events but, if you refuse he’ll make it so helping him is the only option. Even the administrators are a little weary of him so when he requests that you be his assistant or have the school expel you, they of course comply with his request and send you a notice of your possible expulsion from the school. 

Once you do start to comply with Eden though he softens up. HIs cold demeanor is placed with one that is still pretty cold but he compliments you way more than before. His touches will linger for longer and sometimes you catch him staring at you. He's actually the reason you were (forced) invited into their apartment. Eden said he had a lot of paperwork to do for the council but the school locks their classroom doors after 6pm so he makes you come over to their apartment to finish the paperwork. 

It was a surprise to Mae and Luka too but not an unwelcome one. They had you sandwiched between them on the couch in the living room while sitting in an armchair. You were told it was normal for the three of them to hang out like this (while it was, usually Eden wouldn't join until after he finished all his work but of course he wanted to sit out there with you) and to just get comfortable while Luka grabs you a drink!  Of course you don't ask why he already opened the can for you or why he's stirring your drink before giving it to you. Please don't be mad when you wake up in the living room couch laying on Mae while the others coo at your ‘oh so pretty face’ they just wanted you to stay a little longer!

Lately I've been seeing a lot of people attacking others for shipping a problematic ship in X and this somewhat bring back a bad memories when I was still active in ml tweet back then.

It was around Luka episode introduction, I think when I saw someone asked Thomas about Luka's age and he said Luka is Juleka's brother, older by 2 years. Make senses considering we never see him in Dupont and how he has part time job that time. thing is, when I looked back at the reason why people become anti Lukanette and how current Adrienette dynamic is, it become... Very funny if not ironic? Like how they talked about power dynamic and imbalance in Lukanette and yet remain silent at how much imbalance the current Adrienette is. This also make me realize that you don't need to have an age gap in a ship to make an imbalance power dynamic or be the older one in a ship to groom the other, because power isn't always about who's older, but who has more information and knowledge. Maybe I'm jumping too far, idk, but aren't what Ladybug did in s4 basically groomed Cat Noir into obedience? By gaslight him, manipulating information, silent treatment and that judo throw.

I will say this: people online have turned the concept of grooming into both this big, scary boogeyman but also this thing that happens constantly with so much ease it could be accidental. Basically, there's this idea that we need to constantly be on the lookout for groomers because the world is crawling with them. There's a reason for this: online fan spaces are easy hunting grounds for groomers and the internet acting as an in-between makes the people involved ignore personal boundaries more easily because it all feels less real. So of course terminally online youths are scared of a threat that exists primarily in terminally online ingroups.

So, a lot of fanspaces treat age differences between characters as inherently suspicious. It doesn't matter if they're both adults or both kids, if there's an age difference, it's “grooming” to these people. Like, yeah, it's reasonable to wonder what someone in a very different life situation would want with someone who’s basically “dragging behind” from their perspective, but sometimes you just like a person and want to hang out with them and don’t necessarily want anything with them. Grooming, in this context, is a very specific thing that isn’t just about age. It’s a pattern of behavior where someone purposefully manipulates someone else to get them to fill a certain role for them, usually that of a romantic and/or sexual partner. Grooming is actions, not a situation.

Not all unequal power dynamics involve grooming, but I get what you mean. It feels like there should be a word to describe this kind of relationship, but there isn't anything specific. It's just “toxic relationship”, “one sided relationship” and “being used” when Marinette is explicitly shown benefiting and preferring when her partner doesn't ever show any personal feelings about anything. She prefers him joking and therefore keeping a distance between herself and his feelings. It’s the same way with Luka, whose family situation makes it look like he’s gone through parentification or at least suffers from abandonment issues, which would make Luka another case of a traumatized boyfriend whose trauma manifests in a way that Marinette can and does take advantage of.

The thing that makes Marinette not the groomer in either of these situations is that she didn't cause these boys to act this way; they conveniently came to her pre-traumatized/conditioned and she merely shamelessly took advantage. In the case of Cat Noir the matter is grayer, since his responses to her are reactions to her treatment of him as someone inconsequential, but him reacting to such treatment with submission instead of outrage was trained into him by Gabriel and Emilie.

so maybe i write a bit of alien stage soon!! to heal my broken heart. mizi and sua HURT, but they didn't hurt as bad as ivantill. mostly because it was the first round and i didn't know too much about them. sure, i cried, but i could only care so much.

idk i grew attached to ivantill. i don't even think it's ivan's death im acc sad about. YES, of course im sad about it, but i think im just more worried/scared to see how till reacts to all of this. does he regret it? does he loose in round 7? do ivan's efforts to keep him alive go in vain?

im gonna be fr rn, i actually think it would be better for my mental health if till died in round 7. DONT GET ME WRONG, i love till, he's actually tied with ivan for being my favorite character, but i think it'll hurt me more if in the end, till lives. because that means he can regret. that means he can be sad. and i think if both of them die, at least i can have a little peace of mind knowing that neither can be hurt anymore by the other's death. then again, if till gets saved by hyuna and mizi... not exactly complaining there.

Ranking the Miracucast by how they'd react to being chosen as the next holder of One For All

Marinette: She would scream and cry and do everything in her power to avoid becoming the next Symbol of Peace. She would then proceed to be one of the most beloved and powerful Heroes the world has ever seen. 9/10

Alya: Depends on when she gets the Quirk. Early Seasons Alya is all about fame and branding, and she'd be loved by the populace as a hero but make a decent amount of rookie mistakes. Late Seasons Alya would be way more competent as a One For All user, but she also knows how to keep things subtle. I can see her becoming an Underground Hero like Eraserhead. Either way, 7/10

Adrien: Yes. 10/10

Nino: He would be very confused as to why he's being chosen, but if his friends were in danger he'd do it. Would much prefer to focus on his music than hero work, and as such would be known for the former more than the latter. 3/10

Chloe: She would try so, so, so hard to be the ultimate superhero that everyone loves. Unfortunately we saw how that went down in canon. She has the potential to great things, but motives will always be a serious problem for her. 4/10

Sabrina: Getting One For All might be what it takes to get her out of her shell. She'd never reach the fame and reputation that All Might and Deku have, but she would treat her powers with utmost respect and very few people would have bad things to say about her as a hero. 7/10

Mylene: She would be very confused, and very scared, and honestly would probably reject the Quirk outright. If forced to take it she'd be great, but I just can't see her wanting to hold on to it. She prefers to change the world in other ways. 3/10

Ivan: Everyone would doubt him due to making assumptions, but he would surpass them all and come into his own as a beloved and respected hero, albeit one that's pretty intimidating. He wouldn't really focus on quirks other than the super strength, but hey, it worked for All Might! 8/10

Rose: Be afraid. Be very afraid. 6/10

Juleka: Guaranteed to be more of the Underground hero type. Possibly might go full vigilante. She would use the Quirks very differently than most would expect, so people won't make the connection to past One For All holders. She does not want to have a body count, but definitely has one. 6/10

Kim: Kim is a total doofus who would immediately gain a rep as a reckless hero who causes lots of collateral damage but makes up for it by just trying really hard. Deep down he will feel unworthy and self-conscious. Local Himbo has internal turmoil and Does Not Deserve It. 5/10

Max: Would reject the Quirk outright and only accept it in the most dire of circumstances. Max does not want a messy complicated Quirk like One For All. Max likes simple and efficient, stuff he can manipulate from the get go. One For All is not simple. Give it to someone else. 0/10

(side note: while Max does not want One For All, Markov absolutely does, and finding a way to give Markov One For All would make for an interesting challenge. But Max still isn't taking it.)

Alix: Would politely decline taking it. Because she's already received it (and passed it on after engaging in brief shenanigans with it) in the future, and knows it is not her battle to fight in the present. Alix/10

Nathaniel: Please let this poor boy have some sleep. He is very tired and very angry and accepted the Quirk on impulse and really doesn't want to do this. Eventually manages to figure out his niche being a artist/spraypaint hero (Alix helps), and may or may not accidentally trigger the downfall of a corrupt government. 7/10

Lila: She obtained it under false pretenses and we are all doomed. There's a slim chance she'll do some hero work for the sake of her image, but like. The cons will definitely outweigh the pros. This was a mistake. 1/10

Luka: Accepted One For All during a time of great need, and knew the moment he received it that it was something Important. He puts on a front of being chill, but treats his work as a Hero with the utmost of seriousness and will do what has to be done. Like his sister, he would actively strive to not have a body count, but definitely would have one. 9/10

Kagami: She's a superhero with a sword. Awesomeness is the default. She will have no idea what she is doing but like. She has a sword. Stuff is getting done. 7/10

Marc: Look, you know Worm? You know Legend? One For All Marc would be like Legend except less hunk and more bishonen. The fangirls and fanboys will rejoice. Marc does not want all the attention, but he has it anyway. 6/10

Ondine: Kim accepts his role as the ultimate trophy boyfriend. Ondine would be competent, but she would also create even more collateral damage. 5/10

Aurore (New!): If there's one thing she knows, it's branding. She may not be known as a particularly powerful hero, but her branding would be top notch. When people figure out she's the latest successor she will OWN it and turn it into more branding. 5/10

Felix: Was likely offered One For All by someone who thought he was Adrien, and accepted it under that pretense. Would do a good job as a hero (and would give Adrien the credit in the process) but would figure out how to use all the Quirks very quickly and have a gig as a vigilante going on under a different identity, using different quirks to keep people in the dark. Very sus, Felix. You can be better than this. 2/10

Zoe: Look the populace would pick up on the fact that she's blonde and associated with America and immediately assume she's related to All Might. That's just going to happen. All Might will basically have to end up adopting her, if he's still around. She does not like this, but makes it work. 6/10

You couldn't believe you were actually dating him. You thought it would change things. Well, Lukas would stand to attention now whenever he was with a group of people and you entered the room like the mere presence of you drew him to his feet like gravity (and you would run forward excitedly and hug him without a care in the world). But really besides kissing each other now, the two of you mainly did the same things.

It made you realize how much the two of you had already acted like a couple. You'd already been holding his hand, eating dinner with him, sleeping in the same bed, etc. It made you realize that the two of you were always more than just friends. You didn't think you could ever even be just friends with Lukas anymore; that time had passed.

But now that kissing was an option, the both of you took full advantage. You were surprised by how much you liked it. You liked how he held your cheek ever so gently like he was cradling you and you felt the world slip away when you kissed him. Nothing else mattered but Lukas when his lips mets yours.

You wondered if he liked it as much as you did. You thought he did. Because now when you two went out to eat, he'd often pull you into the booth to sit right beside him instead of across. And he'd wrap an arm around your shoulders before making out with you; the two of you did that until the food came.

The two of you were insatiable. You wondered with all this kissing in public that people would find out. But the media was not intense at all in Sweden and no paparazzi had ever followed you around; you were the least interesting Roy so you could get away with kissing him in a restaurant without it getting back to the States.

You had been adamant with Lukas that you wanted their relationship kept secret until the deal went through. He had argued with you about it but you got your way.

"I don't want my family to know yet...that I'm dating you," you had started to smile just saying that you were dating him.

"Why not?"

"I know my siblings won't like it but I don't know how my father will react," you explained. "What if he ends the deal because of us?"

"Then he can end the deal. I don't give a fuck," he argued.

"Yes, you will. You'll be mad at me," you replied.

"I'd never be fucking mad at you. You're being ridiculous," he said. "Let's just tell them."

"No," you huffed, going cold and turning on your side in bed away from him. You grabbed a book off the nightstand and started to read it, ignoring him.

Lukas gained pointed eyes. You were so damn stubborn. You could not be persuaded when you got like this. It reminded him acutely of your father and the cold persona. He wondered if you knew how alike the two of you were.

He sighed and he didn't see you start to smile as you heard it.

"Fine," he relented. "I'll be a fucking secret. I don't like it but whatever."

You turned back to him with a wide grin once you got your way before pecking him on the lips, "Thank you."

And you huddled closer to him, snuggling your head against his chest as you muttered, "Love you."

He shook his head at how his frustration completely melted away. He wrapped his arms around you before kissing the top of your head softly.

And you did have this paranoid fear that Lukas would be mad at you. Your father would be livid over the two of you and break off the deal. You were sure of it. And Lukas would resent you for it no matter what he said. You couldn't handle that. You couldn't handle losing Lukas; the mere thought of it made you feel panic.

But Lukas agreed and it was kept secret. No one knew you were dating Lukas. Well, besides a couple of people at Gojo like Oskar but you trusted them. But then apparently his mother had found out and came to Stockholm.

You had been in bed with Lukas one morning. The two of you were kissing lazily when he got a text. He checked it and his immediate response was an expletive.

"Fuck."

"What is it?" you caressed his cheek in worry.

"It's, uh...my mother is here. Right now."

"Oh. Do you want me to meet her?" you questioned.

"No," he exclaimed immediately which made your eyes widen. "Just stay here. She'll...she'll get into you. I don't want her to hurt you."

"Okay," you frowned a bit but he kissed you quickly which made you smile a bit.

Then he scrambled out of bed and quickly put on his clothes. He left you in bed and you decided to get up to take a bubble bath. Since he wanted you to stay in the room, you decided to use his en-suite to take a long, relaxing bath.

His mother must've left before you were done because Lukas entered and he formed a small grin at the peaceful look on your face, "You look like you're about to fall asleep."

"It feels nice," you hummed before you glanced at him. "How did things go with your mother?"

"Annoying," he stated as he leaned against the bathroom counter with his hands in his hoodie.

His mother had a million questions about you. She couldn't stop pestering him. But he did not tell her your age. How young you were. He knew that once his mother learned that little tidbit that she would not like you. She would say something to hurt you and he refused to let that happen.

You grinned a bit, "She can't be that bad."

"She's bad."

You chuckled a bit before sighing and standing up out of the tub. You were surprised when Lukas moved into action and grabbed your towel before wrapping it around you as you stepped out. You gave him a small smile as you pulled the towel tighter around you.

He gazed at you intensely before he called, "Ella."

You hummed absentmindedly as you dried the ends of your hair with another towel. His silence made you look up in question.

He swallowed, "It's, uh, nothing. Forget it."

You furrowed your eyebrows but nevertheless agreed, "Okay."

And life moved forward with you dating Lukas. Two weeks had passed since you first began dating and the thought still made you giddy. It made you blush and smile. You were happy whenever you thought of Lukas or were with Lukas. It was like Lukas contained all the dopamine that was supposed to be in your brain.

But neither of you had been able to visit for a week. You had started to feel sick. You were throwing up in the mornings and you just felt like crap all day. You barely had the energy to talk to Lukas. You had told him you were sick and he had sweetly sent you flowers along with your favorite set of chocolates.

But something else had started to occur as well. Your breasts started to ache. You didn't think anything of it until you massaged them one day to try to relieve it when the realization of what it all meant came to you in an instant.

You felt dread as you thought about it. But you had to be sure. So you went and picked up three separate tests and took all of them. They were all positive.

You were pregnant.

Even though it was nighttime, you had immediately booked it to the airport. You had your assistant cancel everything for tomorrow before you boarded your jet to go see Lukas. On the plane ride, you were researching pregnancy on your phone. You felt overwhelmed.

Lukas knew you were coming. You had texted him and said you needed a car to pick you up. He was surprised that you were coming in the middle of the night but he wasn't going to complain. He just gave you what you needed.

When you got there, he questioned with a small grin, "What the fuck are you doing here?"

You didn't even answer. You just grabbed him, making him hunch over before you kissed him. You needed to kiss him right now and feel reassured. You needed to feel like it was them against the world.

When you had calmed enough, you let him go and he breathed heavily, "Wow. Fuck."

He grinned, "So you really missed me?"

"We need to talk, Lukas," you said and your voice was grim.

"Okay," he said slowly, feeling whiplash.

You brought him to the living room. He sat on the couch while you paced the floors back and forth. You felt like you couldn't say it. You were too nervous.

"It's...it's a guy, isn't it?" Lukas believed the worst. "You found someone else, didn't you? If you're gonna leave, just fucking say it."

"What? No," you immediately halted at the accusation. "I'd never leave you."

"Then..."

"I'm pregnant."

"Oh," his eyes widened before he bit his lip with a grin.

You started to pace again as you rambled, "I researched on the plane and the pill is only 99% effective. You probably didn't know that."

"But I'm pregnant now through a 1% chance. I mean, that's crazy. At first, I thought, that I was too young to be pregnant. But then I learned that the advanced maternal age is 35. Did you know that? And then I thought, you know, that I'm not too young at all. And that it's okay because I'm having a baby with the love of my life. I always wanted to have a lot of babies, too..."

"Did you just call me the love of your life?" Lukas was smiling.

"What else would you be?" you furrowed your eyebrows. "I'd never want to be with anyone else."

"Never?"

"Never," you said before you approached him and then straddled him on the couch. "So do you want a baby?"

"With you, yes."

You blushed and smiled before he placed a hand over your stomach, "You're sure you're pregnant?"

"I took three tests. Yes."

"Three?"

"Yes, three. What if the first two had been false positives?"

He smiled in amusement at your paranoid thoughts before he asked, "And this, uh, future with a lot of babies. How many are we talking about?"

"I don't know. Maybe five. Maybe more," you mused before you smiled. "As many babies as you want to give me."

You never really knew why you always pictured yourself with a lot of kids. You supposed that you always thought that bigger families seemed happier in your head. If there were more kids, there was more love and you wanted a lot of love in your life.

"But do you want a lot of kids though?" you frowned as you worried he wouldn't want what you wanted.

"I want whatever you want, Ella," he promised. "Whatever you fucking want. It's yours."

You covered his mouth with your hand, "You really need to work on the language with a kid on the way."

He took your hand and kissed your fingertips as he spoke softly, "Ja."

You smiled happily before you muttered, "I love you."

And then you stole his breath when you kissed him again. Your fingers threaded through his soft blond hair and his hands crawled over you. His lips felt scalding on yours and even more so when they moved to your neck, creating hickeys. You tilted your head up to give him more access before he started to lift your shirt up. You lifted your arms to help him peel it off of you and you were left in your bra. And that night the two of you repeated the same act that got you in trouble in the first place.
