** I felt like writing**

Stiles had found Derek sitting on the Nemeton in the woods surrounding his apartment in DC. At first, things has been silent. He’d slowly walked up to where Derek was, focused on nothing but the man.

“Stiles, you have to help me,” Derek had said.

The logic part of Stiles’ brain knew he should be confused, but Dream!Stiles just kept walking closer and closer.

“What happened?” He finally asked, close enough to see Derek clearly. Close enough to see the charred skin around his neck, and the slight smoke wafting off his clothes.

“I’m stuck, you need to help me,” he repeated, this time flickering in and out of view for a split second.

“What happened?” Stiles repeated.

“Bardo…” Derek said, before Stiles found himself waking up in a cold sweat.

Wiping the sweat from his face, rolled over before sighing deeply. “What the Hell was that…” he whispered to himself, unable focus on anything else.

There was another sigh before Stiles reached over and grabbed his cell off the beside table. It was 3am in DC, and he needed to make a phone call.

The line rang twice before a familiar voice picked up, “Stiles?” It exclaimed.

“Scott, what the hell happened out there? I never claimed to be psychic or magical, but care to explain to me why Derek Hale came to me in a dream saying he’s stuck in Bardo and I need to save him?”

“Oooooh, that’s what the Sheriff means by complicated,” a distant voice said over the phone.

“Eli, shut up,” Scott harshly whispered, before focusing back on Stiles. “The Nogistune came back… he sacrificed himself so Parrish could destroy it.”

“For the love of God, I leave you guys alone for once in your lives and you get him killed again… Jesus Scott, why didn’t you call me?���

“We didn’t want to bring you back into this, after what happened the first time,” Scott said sympathetically.

“I get that, but you know how bad your plans are…”

Imagine stiles living next to Derek and he only ever catches glimpses of him through the window and Derek never leaves his house and has his groceries delivered and stiles always sees him doing random stuff in his home. Practicing magic, karaoke, learning dance moves, burning his dinner, re-enacting movie scenes and stiles completely thinks Derek is just a shut in who doesn’t leave the house so he goes over to introduce himself and that’s when stiles finds out Derek isn’t a shut in (well he is a homebody) but he’s actually just on house arrest. But don’t worry cause he was framed and he’s getting the whole thing thrown out of court soon anyways.

I can just imagine Stiles, the son of the Shreiff, climbing out his window, over the fence and in through Derek’s window to visit. And then when he goes home, he does everything he can to prove Derek’s innocent.

Peter ending up at the Stilinski's house after the fire as "suspiciously large dog" and getting nursed back to health by Stiles.

I think Noah is pretty dubious about the large “dog” he finds Stiles with when he gets home, but he’s also helpless when his son looks up at him with those big brown eyes and wobbling lower lip and says, “Dad, he’s hurt. We have to help him!”

But the thing is, it turns out Peter’s not healed in wolf form, but the wounds he suffered in the fire basically disappeared under his skin. I dunno, it’s some weird shifter magic. So the vet is like, “I don’t know what’s wrong with him. He seems fine physically.” (Is this a metaphor for invisible illness? Or for the wounds we have that nobody can see? Maybe)

Even Noah can see that the dog isn’t okay, and he really hopes that it doesn’t have some weird illness it can somehow pass on to Stiles, but he doesn’t stop Stiles from taking care of the dog.

Stiles doesn’t know why the dog isn’t okay, but he clearly isn’t. It’s hard for him to walk. He sleeps for hours at a time, and sometimes when he’s awake, he lets out mournful howls that send a shiver down Stiles’s spine.

Stiles will never know how much he’s really doing to heal Peter. Peter thinks he might have been stuck in pain for years if he hadn’t stumbled upon this boy. Stiles pets him constantly, cuddles with him at night, coos soft encouraging words to him when he howls. His love and loyalty is like pack, and it allows Peter to heal from his wounds much more quickly.

Stiles names the dog Thor, and he could swear it rolls his eyes at him whenever he says it, but he still comes when Stiles calls.

Thor refuses to wear a collar or leash, but he follows Stiles to school every day once he’s doing better, and he’s always waiting when Stiles gets out. This would be awesome anyway, but it’s extra awesome because Stiles gets bullied all the time, and now nobody bothers him to or from school anymore since Thor will place himself between Stiles and the bullies and growl viciously until they run away. It’s good for Scott too, because it wasn’t doing his asthma any favors when he and Stiles had to make a run for it.

So yeah, the Stilinskies end up having a dog. Kind of. I say kind of, because it’s not really a typical owner and pet situation. Thor is ungovernable. He comes and goes when he pleases. He never seems hungry, but he also rarely eats the food Stiles puts out for him.

Noah won’t admit it to Stiles, but Thor does seem to understand more than the average dog. He’s also huge, which would be disconcerting if Noah didn’t have clear proof that Thor would protect them with his life. All in all, it’s a strange situation, but soon neither of the Stilinskis can imagine a life without their dog.

edited my final story for my writing class today. also wrote 500 words for the demon!stiles au and i read three merthur fanfics today. is this how to feels to have the power of a god in your hands?

i hate how people can just easily erase and forget and overlook a platonic relationship that had key importance to the show/movie they're apart of, like people talk about them at first, but when the second a romantic relationship is "more important" to talk about, most of the fandom drops it and forgets it when it's convenient for them because apparently it's not as important as romance 😒

Stiles lets Peter get closer. only because he needs to feel some kind of warmth to feel human. if Peter is getting any closer than necessary - his arm just inches from his. skin on skin in an electric sensation that makes Stiles shiver from head to toe. - he doesn't comment.

Officially done with season 3 of teen wolf and what an incredible season, definitely the best so far (and I'm told, of the series). Genuinely impressed by everything they had going on and how it all did tie together well, how they introduced new characters AND gave them depth and purpose (Kira my most beloved). We don't have to talk about Allison dying because in my head she and Lydia live happily ever after (teen wolf movie what teen wolf movie). Also Stiles is like lightning in a bottle when it comes to tv characters—especially teenage characters—so congrats to this show for hitting the biggest gold they could ever strike with Dylan O' Brien and utilizing the hell out of him.

i need to find this fic

idk how much of a long shot this is but i’m trying to find this stydia fic that i read AGES ago on ao3.

basically one of them gets caught in a fight with a witch and she sends them to a parallel universe where they’re married and the whole fic is basically them trying to get back to the right dimension.

i don’t remember if it was lydia or stiles that got transported but in the end i do remember they make it back. it came out around the same time as “You Should Come With a Warning” lol just as like a general timeline of when i read it.

so stiles manslaughters someone in self defense, has a a private nervous breakdown about it, and when he finally does tell his dad, he’s like “yep, that kinda think happens in a dangerous line of work like being the sheriff of supernatural horror town. you’ll never regain your innocence but you can even the scales by saving someone’s life”, so stiles saves several peoples lives and he’s like “yeah that felt really good but i need to do it again” and his dad says. ahem!! *clown voice* “WeLcOme to YouR NeW CarEEr in Law EnForCemEnT”
