here have a medley of miscellaneous timeskip pro team headcanons bc WOW i haven't posted in a while and this is my only stress outlet other than binging new series <3333
starting off strong with ejp raijin LET'S GOOOOOO
washio 🫱🏼🫲🏼suna 🫱🏼🫲🏼komori: being EXHAUSTED from carrying the pro team world on their backs
no no i'm kidding. mostly
they keep a tally of other pro team matches in which their former teammates go up against each other and are REALLY smug if their respective teammate wins. which means you get shit like this
komori, cheerfully: "so how about that hornets v falcons game last night, huh?" suna: "oh shut UP tell iizuna tsukasa that aran-san could kick his ass any day of the week you little SHIT - "
they ARE united on the jackals front tho. all three of them want the adlers to go down HARD.
is suna nursing a grudge against ushijima from high school? yeah. is he ever going to get over it? probably not.
only komori feels bad bc he is fond of kageyama, but, hey, family's family
they ask washio why he hates the adlers and he looks them dead in the eyes and goes "hoshiumi kourai . . . he is a man that requires constant vigilance"
actually wait i know we all saw everyone watching and talking about the game (which makes me wanna cry SO bad) but god. how fucking funny would it be if players from monster gen convinced everyone else on their very professional and very mature teams to take sides
ejp raijin captain, who's been friends with hirugami fukurou for like ten years: "okay so explain to me again why we need to blow our entire team budget on jackals merch when we're not even going to the goddamn game?" komori: "well, it started on a cloudy but beautifully crisp spring day in 2012 - "
SPEAKING OF TACHIBANA RED FALCONS
hakuba joins the team, sees aran, and IMMEDIATELY starts texting the old kamomedai group chat
altho tbh i don't think there's no way that the "who-from-where-made-WHAT-pro-team" news never breaches the high school circuit. like come ON you know everyone's keeping up with the third year stars when they graduate
by the time the first years are third years they've got everyone pinned down on a fucking MAP. they have a shared file where they update each other on EVERYTHING. it's way less creepy than it sounds they're just a really passionate bunch okay!!!!
well that AND they can't help but brag about their amazing upperclassmen
okay sorry back to it. so it really goes more like
hakuba: "HOLY SHIT OJIRO ARAN FROM INARIZAKI IS HERE" suwa: "hakuba, we already knew that. i linked the article when it first dropped, remember?" hakuba: "yeah but it's still so WEIRD like it's OJIRO ARAN from INARIZAKI" hoshiumi: "lol atsumu told me he talks in his sleep, go find out if it's true"
aran actually does recognize hakuba mostly because gin paid him a compliment ONE (1) time and then aran had to listen to atsumu complain incessantly about the "stupid wall of muscle with stupid hair and his stupid height and stupid arms" ever since
ALSO. i think people get hakuba and hyakuzawa mixed up a lot. they've both got a similar height and build and hairstyle and play the same position
(not to mention the similar backstories)
it becomes a running joke throughout the pro leagues and makes for a fun time with falcons v warriors matches
in the event of a hyakuhina hookup (which i feel like actually could happen) they somehow get onto the topic of "haha it'd be even harder to tell them apart with your eyes closed!" and hinata, without thinking, goes "well, i probably could" and everyone is like "WHAT"
he digs himself an even deeper hole by saying "no, i just meant - i know hyakuzawa's body really well!!!" and everyone immediately starts screaming
poor hyakuzawa is dying on the inside
i think shibayama (MY BELOVED) kind of occasionally forgets that he also has his own fanbase and is sort of semi-famous as the libero of tokai heavy industries esperanza bc. he knows kenma and yaku and lev and komi and yamamoto and fukunaga and, in general, a bunch of people that he believes are much more well-known than he is
he's always so flattered whenever someone stops him in the street to ask for a pic or when he sees posts online gushing about him
this is extra funny bc he never talks about his friends like they're famous so all of his teammates don't really know that shibayama is friends with all these other famous people
and then one of them, an avid kodzuken fan, spams their group chat when kodzuken's newest video is released and shibayama shows up in it
they're like "SHIBAYAMA!! HOW COME YOU NEVER TOLD US THAT YOU'RE FRIENDS WITH KODZUKEN??" and shibayama is like "i have?? i talk about kenma-san all the time??" and they're like "YOU'RE TELLING ME KODZUKEN IS THE SAME KENMA-SAN WHO RIPPED HIS HIGH SCHOOL JERSEY TRYING TO JUMP OVER A FENCE???"
(shibayama's second year. they'd been dealing with things. it worked out, in the end. even if they had to lie to nekomata and naoki about why all their jerseys ended up with holes in them.)
i love the pro teams you guys they're so fucking funny
#anyways recently i read go with the cloud north by northwest and holy SHIT#are there some things i could do without??? yeah absolutely#but the art is gorgeous and there are some BANGER lines to quote i am incredibly invested#as always thanks for reading! stay safe and keep doing the best you can#suna rintarou#washio tatsuki#komori motoya#hakuba gao#ojiro aran#hyakuzawa yuudai#hinata shouyou#shibayama yuuki#miya atsumu#ushijima wakatoshi#hirugami fukurou#hoshiumi kourai#suwa aikichi#iizuna tsukasa#kozume kenma#haikyuu#haikyuu hcs#haikyuu!!#sou says stuff

trial and error [senku x reader]
I wrote this on AO3 a few months ago and just wanted to link it on to my Tumblr. Part 2 is already out right now, but I just did this quickly during one of my lectures lol. Hope you guys like this.
SHIPPING: SENKU X READER
PREMISE: [Name] had always known Senku was a little bit of an oddball but that's what made him so interesting to her as children. Now in the Stone World, he's only even more interesting what with his claims about shooting up to a million years worth of technology back, but some things never change with him; specifically on the concept of love. As a way to get him to think about it as something other than "disgusting feelings" she proposes for him to think of it differently, though it seems to be going in a direction she never expected.
PART ONE - PART TWO - PART THREE
{--*--}
CHAPTER ONE: A SUGGESTION
Senku was completely lost at the moment. It wasn’t stuck with his most latest creation, no. It was those three sisters. They haven’t stopped staring at him for the past three hours and it was starting to get on his last nerves. Usually he was able to just ignore them and go on with his day, but what can he right now? He had spent the previous night working his ass off on planning for the next project so the working effort on his end was a little slow (well, slow in his terms at least; [Name] had already told him a few times to slow down for the sake of their non-modernized companions). At the moment, he was having a lunchbreak, sitting hunched over his blueprints trying to figure out what was happening.
Keyword: trying.
“Your head looks like its going explode.” [Name] said softly as she sat next to him, bowl of ramen in her hand. Her eyes scanned over to his spiky hair. “Well, it already looks that way, actually.”
“Shaddup.” Senku replied gruffly, but [Name] didn’t take his rudness to heart. She had known Senku since they were children. She had used to follow him around like some sort of duck. At first Senku had found her a bit of a nuisance, constantly teasing her and calling her names in hopes of making her go away, but it seemed it hadn’t worked on her. Apparently having an older brother meant immunity to any other insults being thrown at you.
Soon, Senku had started realizing she was better off as an asset for him, running errands for him like Taiju so hed end up having to leave his little lab less. Most of the time, though, [Name] was cleaning up the messes that were created when Senku and Taiju were too exhausted to do it themselves. [Name] had also cooked food for all three of them so they wouldn’t starve when they were working on Senku’s space projects.
Byakuya liked to joke around about it, saying a then ten year old [Name] would already be one of Japan’s top chef from all the cooking she had done and Senku probably wouldn’t have survived as far as he did if it hadn’t been for [Name]’s constant reminders for him to eat.
Though, like most childhood friendships, it had seemed then it had come to an end. [Name] was two years younger than Senku so once he had entered middle school, it was a little harder visiting him. The hobbies they both took a liking to were completely different, Senku’s leaning more toward an academic side with science, while [Name] had started to develop a liking to painting. So even if they had gone to the same middle and high school, their chances of being in the same clubs were 0.
Who knew being petrified for over 3,700 years and a threat to our lives would bring us closer together? [Name] thought to herself mindlessly as she slurped on her ramen, internally cringing at how nasty it tasted.
She had been the de-petrified right after Yuzuriha by Senku’s miracle formula since they weren’t that far from one another, though she wasn’t exactly sure why she had been chosen, given that they hadn’t exactly spoken in so long. [Name] never bothered asking Senku either due Tsukasa’s unwavering need for him to have Senku killed. When he had been supposedly “killed” and then revived, it had dawned on her that she still had a feeling there were times he was going to get himself actually killed if one of them wasn’t going to be around, causing her to make the decision to stay with him while Taiju and Yuzuriha went back to Tsukasa,
From then on, it seemed Senku and [Name]’s old dynamic had started to come back. He would create trouble with Chrome and Kohaku while [Name] would sit back with Suika and remind them to not overexert themselves. Sometimes, [Name] would even try to cook the old food she used to make if the resources allowed her to. Most times, however, it was just her picking up the catastrophes he left behind late at night.
“You better clean that up or else you’re going to have a mustache drawn on you tonight.” [Name] stated, giving her friend a pointed look as if the emphasize that she was being serious. Senku didn’t answer, only staring at the same spot of the blueprint. A telltale sign that he was thinking about something else. Slapping his arm gently, she pulled him out of his rapid thoughts. “What are you thinking about this time, huh? Big brain finally distracted from his genius moments? Could it be love? Must be the end of the world.”
Senku’s mouth quirked into a tiny smirk at the mention of the last statement, causing some odd fluttery feeling in [Name]’s stomach. It immediately went away when Senku flicked her forehead, a habit he developed when [Name] was annoying him. “Love is just a construct of emotions I’m incapable of.” He stated smartly.
[Name] rolled her eyes. “Your big words don’t work on me, big brain. Now tell me what’s really bothering you.”
[Eye color] met crimsons ones, telling him to tell her in the manner only they knew how to work well with: silence. His eyes darted to the side, making [Name] glance over at the three girls staring intently at him. [Name] could only snort out a laugh.
“So it is about love. Well I’ll see you in the next life then Senku--ouch!” [Name] pressed her palms to her forehead, glaring at her friend. “What was that for?”
“You’re being a nuisance.” He said dismissively as he slurped some of his own ramen. “And so are those three with their staring.”
“Could you blame them, oh great village chief?” [Name] asked redundantly. “Good-looking stranger shows up out of the blue, pretty much causes a village to turn itself upside down and inside out in less than a year. That’s pretty exciting for some village girls; some might even say romantic.”
Senku’s face pinched in itself in revulsion. “Disgusting.”
“You say that like you have any experience at love.” [Name] replied with a laugh.
“And you do? You’re only 14.” Senku stated.
“I’m 15.”
“Whatever.” Senku replied. “The point is, neither of us have experienced it and we shouldn’t talk about it.”
“Why not?” [Name] challenged. “Think of it like a science experiment; love is a construct of emotions right? You said it was something you couldn’t attain, but I beg to differ. Test it out on someone. Take one of those three out on a date; or you can do all three if you’re so bold.”
Senku, who had been squinting at her the entire time she was talking, suddenly changed had some type of look on his face. He never really thought of love like that; most likely because he never really thought of love at all. Maybe he should put it to the test, but the only problem was--
“I don’t really wanna use those three as my test subject.” Senku stated simply.
“What?” [Name] asked, followed by three other voices. Both of them looked up to see that the three sisters had ended up inching closer to listen in on their conversation.
In hindsight, we shouldn’t have kepy glancing their way or at least talked quieter. [Name] thought, embarrassment seeping through her.
“Why not, though?” Ruby asked, eyes bulging wide, clearly not caring that she was going to be a possible test subject. From the looks of it, her sisters didn’t care either. They really want to go on a date with him, no matter what situation it is. What a bunch of si--
“Because I want to go on a date with [Name].” Senku replied simply, pinky in his ear.
HUH?!

Feeling Blue, Seeing Red (Chapter 69)
Let’s Talk About JSHK Manga #5
Updated: 19/8/2020 (more thoughts)
Bea is back with the lame punny titles~
Warning: !!! MANGA SPOILERS UP TO CHAPTER 69 !!! Duh.
Soooo I opened the raws this morning. Saw the spicy and went 'ohh shoot'. Then some of y'all say that some folks are hating Akane bc of this chap. I proceeded to panic, because fandom war is scary af. So I translated the chap for myself. And I just gotta say:
Aoi, Nene, your boyfriends are idiots. Y'all gonna be punching and headbutting the idiocy out of them for the rest of your lives and I'll be willing to pay for your karate classes.
The teen drama made me laugh so hard ahahahaha I guess this is what you get for hoping sensei will drop a bomb this month lmaoooo.
P.S. Teru you little shit
Man I don’t even know where to begin. This chapter is oozing doraaaaama and I can’t take it seriously no matter how much I try. I remember thinking, “Shoot, this is the ‘I hate you, I hate you too, proceed to make out’ trope in JSHK’s classic ‘oooh serious moment, eh? PSYCHE!’ style,” before bursting into laughter.
I swear I’m not making fun of it.
Because it’s already fun to begin with. Ahahahaha.
I do however, take seriously the long-awaited insight into Aoi’s mind. I hollered in joy, y’all. ‘Cause like ... finally!
(Also like ... ngl the development of Aoi and akaoi in this arc might come into play in my Shrek AU. Pls don’t ask. Yet. That’s not the official AU name I swear I just wanna confuse my readers ahahaha)
Back when chapter 64 came out I wrote something that was supposed to be the first of the Let’s Talk About JSHK Manga series but I ended up not posting it because I wasn’t sure about a bunch of things. Here’s an excerpt from that post, titled ‘Aoi and Her Blues’:
I mean, what did the minions do to her? ‘Remove unnecessary things’. Someone said they removed her inhibitions (I’m terribly sorry I forgot who said this because it’s been so long so I can’t put the link here, but if you know, feel free to send me the link).
But she has to be brainwashed, right?
She remembered enough about Nene. Enough to call her out on her feelings (that she still denies btw lol) and recognize Hanako from Nene’s wonderful description (or because Aoi could see him all this time and never said anything, who knows?).
Most importantly, she remembered Akane.
So apparently they weren’t unnecessary enough to be erased from her memory. Which I’d beg to differ if I were going to make this girl willingly sacrifice herself.
Would she let her best friend fall down into a pit full of giant insects, or let her childhood friend get impaled? I mean this is the same girl that cried when Akane and Yamabuki got together (by accident) and when Nene started talking to herself like a madwoman.
So yeah. Definitely brainwashed. Pretty sure now.
The one thing that bugged me is what she said though.
“I’ve always wanted to go somewhere far away.”
“Nothing will stop me from getting my wish.”
Btw these aren’t accurate word for word I’m just drawing from memory.
Is that a wish forced upon her by the brainwashing, or has Aoi been depressed all this time and ... y’know, therefore thought about ‘going far away’? I’m personally leaning more towards the first, but it still got me thinking.
Remember back in The Clock Keeper arc when she said there was something she wanted to tell Nene?
Can some creepy hands showing up in the gardening club’s album photos really warrant that kind of expression? Is it just me who got disappointed when the thing she wanted to tell Nene ended up being just that?
But if she did have such thoughts, why?
Maybe she was lonely? I mean Nene got so busy with supernatural shenanigans. Akane’s busy with student council stuff (and school wonder stuff). Though I don’t doubt for a second that he’d drop everything for Aoi, but Aoi’s not the kind of person to do that. And to be honest, I feel like so far Aoi hasn’t been shown having genuine interaction with anyone aside from Nene and Yamabuki without the other person being completely enamored by her. And even with Yamabuki that was just in that After School chapter.
So I guess my hunch wasn’t that far off. Still though. Still though. Is she or is she not brainwashed? Because as much as Aoi likes-but hates-but actually kinda likes Akane, I still don’t think she’s the type of person to stab her childhood friend until he’s got a hole through his fucking torso.
Throwing Nene into the bug pit I guess makes more sense if Aoi knew all along that the pit won’t lead anywhere too dangerous, and that Hanako wouldn’t leave Nene’s side. Nene’s perfectly safe with him. Sorta. She did get kidnapped and were about to be sacrificed after all. But heeey Hanako still showed up to save her in the end.
Stabbing Akane like that tho? Even if she knows he wouldn’t die in a boundary especially in his school wonder form? It just doesn’t feel like Aoi, man.
Then again she did say no one really knows her, and that anyone who does would end up being disappointed in her.
I’m really happy to know that she does not, in fact, appreciate all the attention given to her. Comedy framing aside, constantly having some random guy approach you to ask you out presumably every day is ... annoying at best. Kid deserves better.
So ya girl got some extreme trust issues. Strangers, even Akane and Nene, I could understand. But her dad tho? Is something going on in the Akane household? Bruh ....
How long has Aoi not been able to trust anyone enough to let them get close to her? Because if she’s been feeling like that about Nene all this time, Imma be super sad bruh. Nene is one of the most genuine kids ever (perhaps only second to Kou).
I understand that Aoi’s disappointed because Nene’s been keeping secrets, but honestly, who would believe you if you come up to them and say, “Hey so I summoned a toilet ghost and now I’m stuck as his assistant. The rumors about supernaturals are like, totally real, and can endanger everyone in this school for real, too. Also I turn into fish when I come in contact with water.”
Sensible best friends would either a) not believe you, or b) try to get you as far away from supernatural shit as possible ‘cause hello? Ya ain’t Miles Morales ya can’t just blast What’s Up Danger when monster of the week shows up.
Even if Aoi does let it continue, wouldn’t she wanna get involved? Would Nene let her get involved when Tsukasa’s still around? Ya girl got cursed, thrown off the top of a boundary, sent to literally nowhere and everywhere, almost got her body stolen by mirror monsters, kidnapped and taken into a fake world, and now trapped in literal Grim Reaper’s realm. Honestly, who would involve their best friend in this sort of shit?
It just makes me sad to think that all this time Akane and Nene have genuinely cared about her but she didn’t think they were. Aoi, my girl Nene literally threaded hell boundaries and high shallow water to save you!!!
Unrequited platonic love hurts just as much as romantic ones, y’all ....
Speaking of romantic love.
Hey, uh, Akane. For claiming to despise Hanako and calling him a slimy pervert, y’all kinda act the same way with your respective girlfriends when things get a bit heated up, huh? Even the teasing part.
Boy, you’re dumb af. You deserve that.
There it is y’all, it’s official. We got punches for akaoi and headbutts for hananene.
You deserve this too. But Teru’s face here is really annoying, I’ll give you that. Teru you little shit.
At least you’re finally gonna be useful. Let’s just see.
Hmm I guess I have to address the thing now.
Ahem. The thing. The pushing (pulling?) Aoi down, grabbing her neck thing.
Yeah I don’t get it either. Whether it was a creative choice taken in consideration to the actual character’s state or to just pander to the trope that seems to be marketable in Japan or both, I don’t really know.
I do however, have to remind you that none of these kids are in their right mind. One is possibly still recovering from the effects of brainwashing and dealing with not only extreme trust issues and insecurities, but also the sight of a gaping hole on her childhood friend and perhaps crush’s torso, not to mention having to deal with this in the middle of nowhere. The other one is the said person with a gaping hole on his torso, who almost lost his life-long crush, and even got stabbed by her in the first place.
They’re lost. They’re tired. They’re emotional. They’re frustrated. They’re two hormonal teens.
I think Akane thought Aoi wouldn’t listen to him unless he makes her. Which is why he went with exposing her by saying he hated her. Which is still a dumb move in my opinion. But Aoi rightfully got back at him. And honestly I didn’t think he really hurt her. I mean, it’s Akane after all. *shrugs*
The way I see it, the entire thing was a result from not only their current condition but also the uh ... not telling each other how they really feel all this time. Aoi with her issues, Akane with his secrets. They’re a ticking bomb. It’s horrible that they ended up hurting each other because of this (physically and emotionally), but I could see why it went like this. These two are flawed. Most importantly, they’re teenagers. They’re bound to fuck up in this equation.
Heck, I’ve fucked up worse in less endangering situations before.
But heeey once things get cleared between them they fall right back to each other. Sure things aren’t entirely resolved. But they’re gonna be okay. Teru’s there. Should be fine. Probably.
The thing is we as the audience who come into the story with a clear head can easily figure out the best, most sensible way to deal with the characters’ problems. But these problems affect the characters in (physical, physiological, psychological, emotional) ways most of us can’t immediately empathize with, which can make their bad decisions frustrating for us to see. We know it’s wrong. And when these characters have calmed down and healed, they’ll know that it’s wrong, too. If they’re not dicks, that is.
You know how it feels when you’re fighting with someone, and you know the best thing to do is to talk it out, but you just can’t bring yourself to? It makes things worse, right? And you’re frustrated, right? Unfortunately that’s just how humans are.
Even I let my emotions get the best of me when I judged the villagers’ actions back in chapter 68 hahaha (but I still think they’re awful).
It’s just my opinion tho.
And whooo everyone is officially here but Yamabuki (and Sakura and Tsukasa, but they’re bound to show up)! Catch up soon, my citrus child.
Lastly, I have the moral obligation to remind you that if akaoi’s confrontation ended up like this, imagine how hananene’s would be.
I’ll leave you to your deductions.
As always, feel free to discuss. Just ... don’t fight, onegaishimasu.

Which snippet (17 vs 20) for 6 more sentences?
Or: the Tsukasa vs Amane character study fight. No spoilers, Hanako’s takes place pre-canon.
17 - (Previously) “Are they just like amoeba? Can we squish all of them into one huge mokke?” He continued rattling on, visibly excited as he whirled around on the roller chair. Fingers tapped away restlessly and honey-gold eyes blinked at a hummingbird’s pace. “Playdough!” He exclaimed to himself, a finger raised in counterpoint as his eyes darted to a corner of the ceiling.
Boy, he clearly was bored staying in this boundary all the time, Natsuhiko thought, only really listening with half an ear.
~
“Squishing them together isn’t enough to force them to merge,” Tsukasa mused, twirling a finger in the air idly. The mokke watched him in frozen terror, eyes never straying far from his motions. “What about rolling or compressing them? Or yelling at them~” he sang to himself, as he herded all the mokke into one nice spot. There. Hmm no, they’d probably run off once he moved, wouldn’t they.
Time to tie up all the mokke into one huge pile, preferably one long pile like a stack of karate tiles~
The mokke wiggled and cried, and tried to get all slippery on him, but nuh-uh, not in the name of science you don't! He tutted. He had already been ready for how gelatinous they could get at times. It seemed to occur more, as he had observed previously, in times of stress.
Ah yes, he really wanted to see how much they could melt or stretch too. Maybe he could make a nice cloth or paper or— wait, wouldn't they be perfect for replacement skin grafts?
20 - (Previously) Once, when he had just been starting out in the position, Hanako had been fascinated, with the myriad and motley of the supernatural now open to his eyes.
There were no ropes to be shown around, no kindly words or official to guide him in. No, he had just been shoved into the role with a faceful of other Urban Legends as nonplussed as him, and the God had then bid him goodbye and good luck. Just like that, waltzing out of his mindspace.
After the shock of all the colour and movement of the afterlife dissipated, he had settled in his new domain, warily keeping an eye on the odd scurrying shadow, the tail of conjoined creatures invited from the dusk. And then a splash of pink caught his eye.
~
He got up, but that was the moment the bunny blob turned tail and fled, squealing. He followed it out the door of the toilet, steps hesitant so he wouldn’t startle it further. It ran on two little feet on the furthest ends of its body, and as Hanako watched in bewilderment it contracted upon itself to bounce, launching itself off the higher platforms of the stairs to get away faster.
“…Huh.” He repeated to himself in the still air. That was … fascinating. If he was to learn more about this new world—
—then why not start with a harmless subject?
~
Day 1, 23/07/1972, Tuesday, Sunny: He began surveillance.
It wasn't too hard if he remembered to float soundlessly and make use of the fact he could go through walls, really. It was still all too strange to get used to.
He stayed still at ceiling-height, as he watched from above with an old exercise book he'd found dusty and abandoned in the older classrooms, along with the usual pencil stubs. No one would ever notice if they went missing.
It was strange being up this high.
Tournament bracket here.
Leave a vote either in the poll (link in the notes!) or directly in the comments, thank you for reading!

Subarashiki Hibi (Wonderful Everyday Down the Rabbit-Hole) Part 1 - Kagami Ending, Tsukasa Ending and Rabbit Hole Endings
Down the Rabbit-Hole Hmmmm I’m not sure what to expect from this story, the only thing I know about it is that it’s a really highly rated VN? I didn’t expect the MC to be the girl though! She seems pretty cool? She kinda reminds me of Oosaki Nana, punkish, cool and does whatever they want? The random falling dolls from the rooftop by Zakuro were weird. I was surprised that Yuki caught the doll though, if it was a real human, she could have died! Anyway, if I was Kagami, I’d be so frustrated with Yuki lol, she does things for her with good intentions and yet all Yuki thinks about is stuff like Kagami killing her, sigh. Tsukasa is funny though, she’s the youngest and the cutest, but she’s like the big boss that they both end up always listening to because of how scary she can get lol. Gotta wonder why Yuki is so whatever with Zakuro wanting to live with her, like dude, how well do you know her? Even you think she’s weird! Lmao at Tsukasa conning Yuki into taking them in too. Well… I guess this is how it feels if you have a harem…lol. Not sure how I’m feeling with all this “fanservice” and slice of life stuff, it’s not very interesting imo, mainly because I’m not that fond of the characters? They’re rather bland to me tbh. Okay, I guess this is what happens when you go into a game blind, did not expect them to go naked around each other playing the king game, and then even kiss Yuki?!
Kagami Ending So yahhh, going by the endings, I guess whoever you kiss is whoever’s ending. That French kiss was like whoa though. I knew they were all thirsty for Yuki but dang. It’s a bit funny but I do feel what Yuki feels whenever I look out the windows of the train going to the same destination as I always do. It feels like it’s always the same scenery everyday, but some things have actually changed without me noticing. It’s kinda weird when you think about it, I guess what’s really not changing aren’t the buildings and sceneries I see, but actually myself. I probably reflect myself in these sceneries, so if my life hasn’t really changed, if my journey to and fro is still the same, then my mind probably just assumes that everything around me continues as is. Although really, I’m probably being left behind by this world that constantly changes. Spontaneous journeys are always nice, but I wonder if this supposed person Zakuro liked before and that has changed in appearance is actually Yuki? Like, was Yuki a guy before or something? I really liked the segment where Yuki plays the piano for Zakuro, it was really cool to be able to actually hear the musical pieces!
Well, that star gazing leading to sex in the classroom was really intense LOL. Let’s just say….the CGs were pretty NSFW and they went at it quite a bit..! Lol! Honestly, I’ve never really encountered a full on sex scene in VNs since I’ve really only played innocent otome games and other VNs such as Clannad etc that don’t have these so I don’t know how to feel about it tbh! Loll, it’s so awkwardly uncomfortable that I have to admit, I kinda skimmed through it as fast as possible LOL. Anyway, I wonder if Zakuro leaving and stuff means she goes to different illusory worlds to see Yuki and if she’s happy in that world, she just goes on to the next one or something? It’s kinda unexpected how much Kagami likes to be teased by Yuki though loll.
Tsukasa Ending Well, I kinda knew Tsukasa would be the more ferocious one compared to Yuki and her sister. She legit just goes all in for the kiss after getting permission, like dang, isn’t it uncomfortable to watch this going on fpor the others?! Hahaha. And yep, nothing different besides the partner being Tsukasa so yeah nothing much to say about that.
Rabbit-Hole 1 Ending I wonder if Zakuro decides to only do something to “redeem” whatever she did to Yuki’s another self in another world (I assume) when Yuki doesn’t really seem satisfied or is dissatisfied with her current situation in that world? That creepy ride was…interesting though? I’m not sure how to feel about it since it felt like they went to another world or something. Hmmmm so as expected, Yuki is the girl who is the world itself so whatever she wills and believes in continues as is and exists? But then what exactly is Zakuro? Someone from an external world trying to bring Yuki out of her internal world because she’s so stuck in it? Ooooh, so everything started on that day the “doll” fell on Yuki. It wasn’t a doll and was actually Zakuro and that caused this whole thing to come about and for Zakuro to come into Yuki’s world and bring her back to reality I guess?
Rabbit-Hole 2 Ending Hmm two new girls with Zakuro huh~ What does she mean by she’ll save the world? And lolll, I guess I see why Tsukasa and Kagami are so fond of Yuki, they used to think she was a boy and always believed her to be a prince in shining armour because she protected them all the time, until she suddenly started wearing skirts and they realised they misunderstood loll. Anyway, I’m surprised to hear that Zakuro and those two girls committed suicide together by jumping off a roof. Is that their way of saving the world? Or did someone stop them/kill them before they could do anything about this world? Lolll, Yuki’s antics with the others are amusing as well as frustrating as usual, but that Web Bot project thing is very…interesting. Something that collects information about people’s thoughts etc all over the internet to predict the future huh? I guess what’s most unsettling is the fact that because of Zakuro’s last words to Yuki, she can’t help but link them together. But I guess the most chilling thing is the email.. The words about the world ending and Zakuro hurting isn’t exactly scary, but the thought of someone taking a photo of the girls’ corpses after their jump to death and sending it around to people’s emails on Zakuro’s email account is definitely rather distasteful. However, for me, whenever someone asks Yuki whether she thinks the world really will end on July 20, I can’t help but think whether there’s a reason they chose July 20? It’s kinda unsettling to think about everything happening on my RL birthday! Hahaha.
I have to admit that I love Yuki imitating Kagami’s tsundere attitude lmao. Otherwise, I didn’t think Takuji would degenerate into this…creepy thing, like wth happened? Tbh, despite the “insanity” Takuji seems to be going through, his words about death being a reality and something pushed back by everyone/media etc to be something far off all the time when it could actually be really close to you is something I can see and understand. I’m not sure what Takuji hopes to achieve with his little speech though, why must people have to comprehend that the world will be ending and accept this supposed truth anyway? Why does he think he needs to spread this? Btw, I love Ayana’s personality, she’s so stoic yet hilarious, I think she’s my favourite character hahaha.
Hmm, a lot of things happened, but at the same time, nothing much happened? The mystery continues with more deaths, and more disappearances of school students. I’m pretty disappointed that Yuki took so long to realise that Kagami and Tsukasa disappeared, like c'mon!! They always check up on you!! Otherwise, I can’t tell how things are going, is the answer to all this something abstract with the worlds, or is it something to do with humans? Honestly, when Yuki found Kagami’s body with her limbs cut off, and Tsukasa crying beside it saying that Kagami kept saying she wanted to go home when everyone else called her a demon and tortured her, it broke my heart. Kagami stood up to Mamiya in class, she was always brave despite being a scaredy cat, she was always so kind, I’m so devastated that she was treated like that in her last moments.
I don’t think I get the ending… Am I supposed to? Lol. It just feels like…everyone loves Yuki, and that they all want to end their own “worlds” if they have their respective worlds, just so she can keep hers as the only one? Like, only one soul should be kept or something in the world right? So, I guess Mamiya wanted to kill everyone to keep her and her world intact? Yeah, I dunno loll. I’m not sure what Ayana represents, is she an overseer or something? One of those animals that just look at that’s happening, or maybe she’s one of Yuki’s books, passing off knowledge to her when needed. Who knows if anyone in Yuki’s world is even human! Maybe they’re all just different things represented by her lol. Maybe like in the first part, just as Zakuro wanted to save her, this time, Takuji wanted to try and save her in his own way by giving her her own world that will always be hers undisturbed? No possibilities of people taking her out of this world, and he wants her to be able to live here happily forever having a wonderful everyday even if it means no one is there? Anyway, I’m super confused, so hopefully I can see things clearer in the next ending?

HEISEI GENERATIONS FOREVER
I’M GOING TO CRY
OKAY?
I’M GOING TO FUCKING CRY.
Spoilers for Kamen Rider Heisei Generations Forever below the cut.
also this got really long. Like. 3.8k words long. I am SO SORRY, Mobile Users, I know read mores don’t always work. Just. SCROLL.
20 MINUTES IN AND MY HEART HAS ALREADY BEEN BROKEN MULTIPLE TIMES.
Memories coming and going for everyone - just - just!
Sougo as a smart, smug, asshole.
Tsukuyomi as a ditz.
Then! Then!
Sento and Ryuuga saving a kid from Another Double – who’s design I LOVE, btw.
But Grease and Rogue leap out over the crowd. They remember, when they shouldn’t. When no one should remember them.
When Kazumi Sawatari and Gentoku Himuro shouldn’t remember each other. Shouldn’t be able to become Riders at all, because here they never were exposed to the Nebula Gas that the Rider System requires.
Gentoku forgetting, returning to the stiff, formal, son-of and assistant-to the Prime Minister.
Misora remembering – the cafe’s a bar, and then she forgets. Again.
YA SURE KNOW HOW TO KILL MY HEART, TOEI.
The kid – Shingo – being found by Sento… who doesn’t get the chance to transform. Who looks… he looks like he’s been brainwashed.
A boy who ‘draws Riders to him’. Him and Sougo go to Fuumen – FUUMEN!
TOEI YOU ARE ACTIVELY HURTING ME. Because Another Double shows up… and it turns out. It turns out Shotaro gave the owner of the Fuumen ramen cart the Double Ridewatch to hold onto for him.
And now we’ve lost Geiz, too.
Nobody remembers Sougo – and smartphones don’t exist. Not enough that a small child would know about them.
The first episode of Kuuga airs tomorrow.
Just- hng. Some part of the brainwashed Sento holds out enough to send the Machien Builder to find Ryuuga. To find his partner.
But when he and Sougo get to where he and Tid are.
Tank and Tank.
Just one word.
“Transform.”
And he attacks.
AHAHAHA YESSSS! Ataru points out the “Same Actor Issue” with regards to Kouhei Takeda having played both Otoya and Kazumin THANK YOU I was hoping that would happen. I didn’t think it would but THANK YOU.
IMAJIN NO. No ominous comments about how ‘it might not end well’!
...Shingo. Shingo… Tid brought you here from the past, didn’t he? From the day before Kuuga aired. That’s why you don’t know what a smartphone is. He brought you forward from your little brothers birthday. And you met him here – where he’s 18, and contracted with an Imajin, in order to meet Riders.
I don’t even know these two and my heart’s breaking for them.
...was. Was that Ataru in Another Den-O?!
Okay, yeah, Sento was faking being brainwashed. No surprise there.
BIG surprise that Ataru contracted in order to meet Riders… because he wanted to escape from reality. He’s not worried, because it’s all just a delusion.
Because his older brother disappeared the day he was born. His brother Shingo.
Whoops.
Ataru latched onto Den-O SO HARD that he summoned an Imajin into his world – his world, where Riders are fiction. And that Imajin is trying, but he’s reached his limit. And Tid cares not for what world he’s in, as long as it’s correct.
...it makes sense that sento isn’t torn up about being fictional like sougo is. he’s already been there – twice, even. sento kiryuu was made up in his own world, and no one from the new one remembers he exists. this is nothing new to him.
…
OKAY FOR THE RECORD. I wrote that BEFORE the scene in the rain.
But…
It doesn’t matter if it’s reality or fantasy. They’re Kamen Riders. They do what must be done.
Don’t worry, Sougo. You’ll understand.
Riders always do, in the end.
Also, the bugster virus grunts stand out so badly against all the other mooks. Waste Yummies, Dustards, Ghouls, Inves, numberless Roidmudes, Ganma, Bugsters… It’s. Actually really nice seeing all of these old suits in action. I can’t even say why, but. I really enjoy that.
… Kazumin’s out.
… … Ataru’s had enough of a world with Riders. He’s done. There’s no such thing, after all.
The contract is complete.
The Riders are gone now. But the mooks might not be.
Be careful what you wish for.
Hey there, Woz! Been a while!
Hey there, Sento. Glad you found your kouhai… and that you didn’t blank out when you two left Ataru’s house.
Because I was right. Shingo’s been pulled out of time.
That’s what Imajin are all about, aren’t they? Changing time. (I have not watched past the first two episodes of den-o but that’s the impression I’ve gotten from hearing about it. Shush.)
And Ataru can’t have a brother that went missing if the brother never went missing in the first place. Which is where Tid, the Imajin, and Another Den-O come into play.
Sure, The World of Ataru is ‘reality’ from one perspective, but The World of Riders is reality from it’s own perspective, just like The World of Build. Sento, you’ve done this, don’t dismiss the world you live in now as fiction quite so easily.
(Tsukasa will be disappointed in you. … if everyone else doesn’t beat him up first, for some of the stunts he’s pulled.)
So… since the Double watch came from Ataru’s world, it can act as a link to there from the Rider’s world.
Actually, I really like how much of W they’re working into here. I know it means we most likely don’t get a W arc, but still. Fuumen, and the watch being handed over by proxy – namedropping ‘Sho’. Another W has three faces – Cyclone, Joker, and CycloneJoker. Cyclone’s eyes light up when he uses the tornado attacks, which is a great nod to both how he’s using one side, and to how Philip’s half lights up when he speaks. I mean, the green tornados alone are neat!
(I didn’t think I’d missed the lens-eyes, because they’re creepy, but come to find out, I had! Huh!)
THING IS. I’m a LITTLE pissed about THIS. I get you haven’t been given much to do today, Woz. And I ADORE all of the W references. But the Library is PHILIPS domain. It’s his to explore – his, and Wakana’s, and those who he allows in. Sokichi Narumi, when he was just a tool for Museum, when he got a chance at freedom. When he got to be Philip. And Shotaro. His Partner. Who saved him from himself in there – When the library was BURNING because he was losing himself to Fang, when he was terrified and lost and this is where he is supposed to be.
… Sorry, I have a LOT of W feels, and this movie is hitting a LOT of them right now.
… Basically, Woz, I tolerate you now, but this is December 2018 you, who I tolerate a lot less. Get out of there.
OH, THIS IS INTERESTING THOUGH.
The book is labeled Masked Rider Den-O. Not Kamen Rider. The series has been writing it as ‘Kamen’ when using the roman alphabet since W.
Before that, it was translated into English whenever it was written like that. So it would be accurate to have Masked Rider Den-O, but not, say, Masked Rider Fourze.
Huh. Nice touch.
~Archival footage from Den-o!~
... Woz how did you get that rail pass out from the library?
(Philip would LOVE to know, that seems like it would be a REALLY handy trick, if he could bring even just. Like. Segments of a book, or pictures, or some such. It’d be SO MUCH EASIER to show Shotaro stuff that way, instead of having to copy it out onto a whiteboard.)
… A lot of the time, Another Double sounds like two people speaking in unison.
… can two people be one Another Rider? Could Tid have. Like. Fused some dudes? This is. A valid question right now.
I mean, we never did find out Who Another Double is.
! !! !!!
LUNA!
THIS IS FINE.
(It’s not fine, but only because I hate the Luna memory)
!!! !! !
AH. So. That’s. ONE way to have things happen out of order. Have a watch shoved into your chest after seeing yourself as that Another Rider.
Ataru latched onto Den-O SO DAMNED HARD that he summoned an Imajin, warped time, and became Another Den-O.
Kid… That’s brutal.
Purple Imajin’s lost hope… but Sougo says that they’re not alone.
Tid shows up at the site where the Arcle was found. At the tomb of the first Kuuga. That… if this is the world of Ataru, that shouldn’t exist here.
But he uses the Arcle – still worn by the first Kuuga – to make the Another Kuuga watch.
That’s terrifying, but makes sense. The watches only need the power of the rider, after all. Doesn’t matter which version of the Rider, as we’ll see in Hibiki months down the road and two weeks ago.
TID OW WOAH DUDE
I MEAN
You’re a bad guy but! I’m sorry for you right now! That looks OBSCENELY PAINFUL.
And VERY Time Mazine sized.
Enough to knock Sougo’s Time Mazine into the Another Denliner… which crashes upon arrival in December 2018, scaring ‘Everyday Schoolboy Sougo’ spitless, while carrying Tid as we have known him to this point. Also of note: Another Den-O is posing like Momotaros. That’s a nice touch.
Oh! Hey! I just realized! I like the Purple Imajin’s speech and all, and the exposition’s great, VERY in line with Den-O, but I just realized.
Sougo’s at a point in time where he hasn’t been born yet.
I doubt this’ll do jack all to history, but still. It’s kind of funny.
(Also, hey, Toei, you couldn’t have remembered that Rider used to start in January back during the Fourze and Faiz arc? You had Faiz disappear during an episode that took place in February, thanks to an event in, like, November. I’m still salty about that.)
Cut to 2018.
Sento and Ryuuga step into Tid’s vault.
(brb, snorting with laughter at the bugster stuck in an idle animation on the floor)
Sento’s already altered the world once, and nobody should have remembered him. But one idiot was stubborn enough to remember him. So… who’s to say that can’t happen again? The world has never made sense. Science and physics, chronology and sequence, reality and fiction… all of that went out the window ages ago, as far as he’s concerned. So why not mess around a little more?
Rabbit and Rabbit!
Cross-Z Magma!
““TRANSFORM!””
(cue Build fight music)
I love my boys.
I also love the two busted time mazines basically piggybacking off of each other.
A train whistle sounds.
Oh, Tid. Of course they keep coming back.
You’ve got someone who knows them pretty well right by your side.
AHAHA YESSSSS
YOU’RE FACING THE WRONG WAY BUT YESSSS
‘Sup, Momotaros?
Oh, hold on-
‘Sup, Team Den-O?
Like beats Like. It takes a Rider’s power to defeat an Another Rider.
And the base of ‘imajin’ is imagine. To think up, to dream.
Or, in some cases.
To remember.
Urataros, if you and Ryotaro are going to use the line “Ai to Seigi to” I expect SOMEONE to do a Sailor Moon pose! SOMEONE NEEDS TO!
She is the senpai for EVERYONE HERE. She’s from 1992, after all, Mr. 2007.
Okay, sorry, Moon Fan comments aside.
Sougo gets it now. It doesn’t matter anymore if they’re real or not.
Because here? In this moment? They’re real enough.
I’m willing to bet that under that mask, Sento’s grinning, because he can tell that his junior’s caught on.
Misora – kind, sweet, Misora – guiding civilians to safety, even though she’s a civilian herself… wondering where Sento and Ryuuga are.
They’re a bit busy elsewhere… but Kazumin and Gentoku? They’re available.
Welcome back, Kamen Rider Grease and Kamen Rider Rogue.
Cries for help from two young boys – the right age bracket for right now.
Level Up!
Kaigan!
Welcome back, Kamen Rider Ex-aid and Kamen Rider Ghost.
Two men in their late teens, early twenties.
Cyclone! Joker!
Welcome back, Kamen Rider Double.
A man in his mid-to-late twenties… possibly with his sons, who are wearing the two latest belts. His inner child calls out.
The startup sound of the Arcle
Welcome back, Kamen Rider Kuuga.
A crowd.
Hanamichi! On STAGE!
Welcome back, Kamen Rider Gaim and Kamen Rider Kiva.
A crowd – larger, with more varied ages.
Hii, hii, hihihiii~
Welcome back, Kamen Rider Agito, Kamen Rider Ryuki, and Kamen Rider Wizard.
Three adults.
Turn Up.
Welcome back, Kamen Rider Blade, Kamen Rider Faiz, and Kamen Rider Hibiki.
Change Beetle
Welcome back, Kamen Rider Kabuto, Kamen Rider Decade, and Kamen Rider Fourze.
UCHUU KITA indeed.
Ta To Ba! Ta-to-ba TaToBa!
Welcome back, Kamen Rider OOO and Kamen Rider Drive.
“Ankh…”
Toei don’t break my heart like this. He caresses the hawk medal. Don’t do this to us.
“Let’s go, Mr. Belt.”
“Okay! Start your engine!”
Hi, Krim. Nice to see you again, too. Ah, man, Shinnosuke’s voice is so subdued.
They didn’t have the same type of partnership, but both Eiji and Shinnosuke lost their partners. This is. Right. This is right, for now. It’s something.
Now. Time to fight.
Momotaros doing his own theme song.
Emu bouncing into the air.
Takeru floating – they’re letting him have powers, letting him have the forcefields that he’s going to prove he has when he shows up in the episode that aired the day before this takes place. To the point of TAKERU CAN MAKE TELEKINETIC TORNADOES THAT IS SO FUCKING COOL! (Further vindication! Takeru gets to be spooky!)
One on one my rear end, Gentaro. Rocket on.
Drumsticks and kicks laced with fire from Hibiki and Haruto, before they and Shinji all set a crowd of mooks alight in a wave of fire.
Shinnosuke getting to use the tires on Type Speed’s boots for once… before… Start up. Clock up! The three speed demons – him, Takumi, and Souji – knock the crowd of mooks aside.
Swords and claws slice through one group, thanks to Kouta, Eiji, and Kenzaki – wait, hang on, his given name is Kazuma? I thought that was his surname?! UGH it’s the Banjou and Ryuuga thing all over again, but before it happened, you know what WHATEVER.
Shouichi and Wataru blasting apart mooks with inherited powers.
Tsukasa on his own… because of course he is.
Likewise for Yusuke.
Sento and Ryuuga struggling against Another Double… but Sougo got that watch earlier today. >:)
Like beats Like.
Er, Woz, this is not the time to IWAE. We’re. We’re in a movie. This. Isn’t in the show, save it for- oh, wait, you weren’t there the first time he used Double in show, were you? Haaaa… fine. I’ll allow it.
...I’d really missed Sougo flubbing the catchphrases. “Tell me about your crimes.” It’s. Close. You’re. You’re almost there. You got the pose better than you did the phrase, anyway.
Another Double is a bit closer, though, since he thinks you’re half-boiled. And did Shotaro’s stressed out forehead pinch – even though Sho’s usually in civilian form for that, and wearing his hat, it still scans. (HNG MY W FANGIRL HEART.)
Maximum Time Break!
Hahaha! Another Double explodes three times. Once to separate in two, once each for a cloud of green and black smoke for each respective half, and then two massive fireballs. That’s glorious.
Tid, I get that you’re a movie villain, but why are you this dead set on getting rid of the Heisei Riders?
“Where’s Tsukuyomi?!”
“Still fixing the Time Mazines!”
And she’s so FRUSTRATED about it!
Good thing Sento built all of his equipment. Oh man, he’s going to have a field day with this thing. Be careful, you might not get both of them back.
CASE IN POINT. SENTO’S JACKED A TIME MAZINE TO FIGHT ANOTHER KUUGA.
And looks like Geiz didn’t just go to fight Tid when he was in 2000. He made the Kuuga watch from the first Kuuga’s body, same as Tid.
Clever. Like I said. Doesn’t matter which version of the Rider. As long as it’s the same power.
Armor Time!
Kuuga!
It didn’t take long to take Another Kuuga down with that much brute power behind the attacks.
Sorry, Ryuuga, but Geiz just isn’t that excitable. No high fives for you. (I’ll give you one!)
Sento must be absolutely beaming under there.
And Sougo does the thumbs up.
HEY REMEMBER HOW I WONDERED IF TID FUSED TWO DUDES TO MAKE ANOTHER DOUBLE?!
THIS IS WORSE.
THIS IS MUCH WORSE.
Step. Away. From. The. Child.
Let him go.
TID HAS ISSUES.
But! Getting everyone out in to one of The Quarries means.
BIIIIIKE FIIIIIGHT!!!!!
Kudos for the Bakusou Bike jingle, and Faiz’s bike pretty much being a drill. Press F to pay respects for Kabuto’s tires. Wonder how many of those he goes through in a month.
Shotaro, Philip, not breaking out the Revolgarry this time? You did back in Taisen Grand Prix!
...Where are Drive and Hibiki?
Oh, wait, nope, there they are, along with Ryuki.
YESSSSS Ryuuga and Geiz in Geiz’s Time Mazine!
AND LIGHTING IT UP WITH BLUE FLAMES TO KNOCK “ANOTHER KUUGA TWO; CREEPER BOOGALOO” DOWN TO EARTH. Literally.
Twenty Rider Kicks. Straight to the face.
(Okay, technically it’s 22 kicks, since Double is, by necessity, both Shotaro and Philip, and Den-O is presumably Momotaros and Ryotaro.)
And the final three to hit? Zi-O, Build, and Kuuga.
Yesssss.
(Also Gentaro looked so awkward standing with the Drill Module still active. Because DRILL. On the LEG.)
We get a montage of two brothers, growing up together, as fans of Kamen Rider. Mirroring a montage of one boy growing up alone at the opening.
And the speech between Senior and Junior – Sento and Sougo.
Yeah. They were Riders. They always were Riders. The laws of time travel aren’t nearly as rigid as you think, Sougo.
As long as someone remembers. They’re still there.
Why should anything have to change that?
Final notes. Whoever made this movie must love W SO MUCH. Because in the end credits, there’s a montage of shots from every season since Kuuga. It shows the riders themselves, as civilians, their base forms, and their final forms.
The slide for W has two variants. The first has CycloneJokerExtreme at the top, CycloneJoker at the bottom, and Shotaro and Philip preparing to transform in the center. The second – the center photo moves to a different expression from the same exact scene – the same SHOT – Shotaro and Philip looking at each other and smiling. It’s from episode 49. When they were reunited.
There’s some nice care for all of the slides, actually, but most noticeable to me…
The Fourze slide has four pictures – Fourze base mode, Gentaro in front of an explosion, Fourze Cosmic States, and Gentaro and Ryusei. The last three? Are all from the same episode. The one where Gentaro GETS Cosmic States.
Drive has two ‘variants’ as well – in a similar manner to W, actually. The first time, there’s Chase, Shinnosuke, and Gou together, Shinnosuke and Kiriko – from the last episode, no less, as they’re saying goodbye to Krim, and Drive (Type Speed) leaning against the Tridoron. Really puts that “Let’s go, Mr. Belt” line RIGHT BACK IN THE FEELS ZONE, there doesn’t it? Well, the shot of the three riders morphs to the same scene, but all three of them in their armor. THAT is where they show Type Tridoron. I believe that was the first time we heard Spinning Wheel, actually.
Ghost manages to have all three of it’s Riders on a cliff – in civilian form, but still.
Ex-Aid has Emu’s first transformation – both before he activates it, and in his Level One form right after. There’s the first transformation into Hyper Muteki. But his Base Mode shot, for Level Two? Chronos about to get a Gashacon Breaker to the face.
Gaim features both Kouta AND Kaito in all but one shot, which is the one with Gaim on a horse. The others are Kouta and Kaito in Beat Rider attire, Gaim and Baron while the Woman of the Beginning looks on in the background and… Gaim Kiwami Arms versus Overlord Baron… in the final moment of their last fight.
As for OOO? Well, we’re clearly not getting an answer from Toei as to what his official final form is any time soon. Not with Shirtless Episode One Eiji, and TaToBa OOO on a RideVendor as two of the shots. The other two? One is PuToTyra. And the other is TaJaDor… with Ankh right beside him, Greeed arm on display. (Eiji’s final form is Ankh’s Boyfriend and you can’t stop me from believing that.)
I don’t know enough about the other seasons to know how heartbreaking a lot of them are, but. Well.
Over in Kuuga, that’s a transformation in the snow.
Ryuki has a wide shot with thirteen suits.
Blade as a shot with four riders, and one with Blade and Chalice in the water.
I’m not really happy with their choices for Build. Build RabbitTank deciding that he’s going to take Ryuuga with him, Sento and Ryuuga on the bike – at the end of episode one, so they both look awful, Sento in the opening, of all things, and what is quite frankly a terrible shot of Build Genius. They had a lot more to go off of here.
Especially since at least Zi-O has an excuse for poor selection. A close up of Zi-O’s face, a shot of him on his bike on a bridge from the opening, a slightly battered Sougo transforming – not even his FIRST one, mind you, it’s from the wrong angle for that… and OMA ZI-O. I know we weren’t even fifteen episodes in, he didn’t have Decade yet in the timeframe it takes place, but still. STILL.
But I might do a compilation post of all the ending cards, because there was clearly care put into… well, all but the last two, really.
So! In Conclusion!
Not as bad a movie as I was worried about!
There were a lot of nice touches, and I’m pretty sure that at this point, they were working towards un-doing the whole ‘riders were never riders’ situation. Especially given the time placement of this film.
The present day sections take place on December 3, 2018 – literally one day after the first episode of the Ghost arc aired. It was released on December 22, so… about when Sougo was shot into the future by Decade, and the day before he Did The Thing with his belt.
Ghost was allowed to transform. “Oh, right I’m a Kamen Rider…” And, of course, Decade was there. As Decade.
The next Legend Rider to appear wasn’t until February – with Ryuki, who would never have been a Rider in the first place, regardless of Time Travel interference. He’d already had his adventures undone at the end of his season. After then, every Legend Rider is still a Rider.
As long as someone remembers.
#kamen rider zi o#heisei generations forever#zi o spoilers#heisei generations forever spoilers#i apologize for the length but. you know. movie.

this a compilation of all of the moments in the dr.STONE manga that senku and gen share together! they're sorted in order by chapter, and they include descriptions and links to the panels. at the end, there's a section with some random fun facts/crumbs/observations that don't quite fit into the main list that are nice to know. many thanks to ukyoxchrome for helping assemble this list! now let us proceed under the cut to contemplate why exactly they are boyfriends and how cute they are... in general, gen is shows just being really impressed by senku’s stuff which isn’t really matched by any other named character
in conclusion sengen is cute and canon they are chaotic good bfs and are in love thank u for coming to my ted talk. the world needs more sengen content

Kotonoha Project Chapter 1, Part 1, Page 5
Chapter 1, Page 5: Confronting the Tatemae Bon. There was a small noise, and then something that looked like a stuffed animal appeared.... “That one?” For a second, Tsukasa thought he had made a mistake. She too had to double check her eyes. It was a deer.
But, it was colorful like jellybeans, and had an adhesive bandage on its forehead. “This guy is your Honne?” “Don’t ask me. Didn’t you summon this thing?” “It looks good, but..... its cheerful appearance doesn’t really suit you.” “...... I’m going to act like that wasn’t an insult,” the school prefect huffed. The deer laughed, its shrill voice ringing out in a clear “pya, pya”. Tsukasa scratched his head. “But still, it’s not really going to work when it’s like this..” She was astonished. “I thought that we might be able to use something against the monster, but I’m not so sure about this.....” “Whatever, it’s going to have to work.” Tsukasa unfolded the fan. “What? Is this my responsibility?” she blinked. “I need to break the seal. We don’t have all day here, school prefect. Kotoware’s going to catch up soon.” The Tatemae monster, Kotoware, sent its subordinates towards Tsukasa and the school prefect. It was visibly evident that the stagnation around the deer had cleared, and the air was bright, a protective barrier. But it wouldn’t last forever. While shaking the short arms springing up from their round bodies, the monster’s subordinates drew near. “Tell me how I’m supposed to break the seal!” “You have to have a Honne that you desire more than your Tatemae.” Tsukasa called it into question. “Well, then...” she spoke after a moment, reflecting on the question, and replied. “I want to eat snacks.” “Is that really the kind of..... oops.” The deer changed immediately. The bandage on its head shrank considerably, with a small boom. Tsukasa had pointed the fan at the deer, orchestrating the changes, controlling them. The deer became a swirl of light. It became like a chrysalis. “Hey!! Did you call me☆?” It emerged. Its whole appearance had changed. The bright colors were the same, though strangely psychadelic..... it was a kid. The deer’s shrunken crossed band-aids were stuck to his nose. “What a terrible way to wake up☆! I just want to eat... I’ll kick your butt for this later☆” “What a strange little brat,” Tsukasa laughed. “I’ll call him Gaki-chan,” the school prefect murmured. “Hey you! Finish talking already!! You look like a fish☆” “Looking weird and bad-mouthing people. So this is what the school prefect is into,” Tsukasa said, grinning. “Just fight already!” screeched the school prefect, her face turning red. “Sure, sure.” Tsukasa gently moved the folding fan, speaking towards the bra―― Gaki-chan. “These are good conditions. I should be able to skip the explanation. You know what to do, right Gaki-chan?” “Sure!! I will forever throw my heart out to Kotoware☆.” “Alright, let’s let this reasonable fellow save us.” Together with Gaki-chan, Tsukasa raised his eyes up to the enemy. “Hatredmaliceenemyangerselfresentment” Instantly, a gale blew through. The color of the barrier became slightly distorted. While the Tatemae, Kotoware, took notice of the Honne’s appearance, Gaki-chan seemed not to notice its violence. Its chains moved even faster, flying about wildly in the sky, not to mention its rapidly approaching subordinates. The stagnation attacked the barrier in spots, trying to shake it. But it couldn’t break through. Without changing his colorful complexion, “Super fuuuuuuuuun!!” He raised the war cry, a spiral horn having appeared. “Go ahead.” Tsukasa’s folding fan also roared. “Selffreelibertymethodreleasefreedomunrestraintliberationmamimomamemomami――”From that trumpet came a tremendous force. An undecipherable tongue-twister, the power of words firing from the horn at a machine-gun pace, and flew like a galaxy train towards Kotoware, shooting it down. That language resounded, bending, pursuing the opponent. Impossible to avoid, they ruptured, exploded, blowing up in rapid succession as they disappeared.
“Why are you... whatever, it works.” After being able to do so much damage, Gaki-chan was out of breath. He took a deep breath, restoring his posture. He looked up. “Shadowbalanceimpermanenceordinarycomonnality,” Kotoware barked, frozen in place. Tsukasa switched to holding the fan with both hands, his expression hardening. The monster’s subordinates were annihilated. Caught off-guard, Kotoware began to tire. “Shall we deliver the finishing blow now, Gaki-chan?” “Let’s destroy it☆” Gaki-chan raised both hands over his head. A giant lollipop appeared in the place of the trumpet. “Cut off the origin’s evil.” Raising it up, “Sugar sword of judgement☆!” He brought it down. A skillful, glittering slash flew through the sky. The world was split in half. It was all an illusion. Boom.
It hit Kotoware in the front. The stagnation was eradicated. The distortion was dispersed. Diminishing laws, limitation’s death cry. What seemed to be its face became two parts. Its body was split in a similar fashion. It split in half, and then halved again, dispersing its malicious intent, becoming powdered fragments.... it disappeared with the chains it used. Gaki-chan and Kotoware’s feud was over. The glowing light inside Kotoware’s form faded, melted, and finally disappeared. The fog and mist concealing the school prefect’s face cleared away. Her face was now free of tears, and now it seemed soft and radiant. “...... let’s go back.” Tsukasa closed the folding fan again, and the Honne, Gaki-chan, returned to his deer form. The school prefect caught the deer in her arms. “That Honne is indispensable to you. Please take care of him from now on.” “Regardless of how important he is, I can’t keep a deer as a pet. He’s very cute though....” “If you don’t want people to see him, you can hide him, and summon him back whenever you want.” “Alright. I get it. By the way, earlier, I named the Honne and the Tatemae, right?” “Yeah.” “That and this, my pretended desires, and my true ones.....” “I’ll just tell you straight off the bat..... because you fought and created a match, neither good or bad, you solved the problem yourself.” “Um... I think I understand now.” He thought about the deer she held in her arms. “But.... the school prefect had desires like this.” “Huh?” “Until I saw it today, I had no idea.” Without the mist, her expression could be seen. The crisp features had a cute, childlike appearance, and her eyes resembled Gaki-chan’s. “Hey, why are you looking at me like that?” the school prefect asked. “They’re round.” “What?” “What is that look of disappointment, school prefect?” “The rules....” she muttered.”.... I’m... Ritsu Kanokawa is still a school prefect.” “I know that.” “I’m terrible.” “Terrible? What do you mean?” “I’m nothing like what you expected of me.” “I didn’t expect anything.” “....... the way I treated you, Tsukasa Kuzunoha-san.” “You know my name...? Ah, right, you’re a school prefect.” The color of the sky began to return to the usual morning blue. The students who had happened to be in front of the gate stood up and began to walk towards the school as normal. No one seemed to care about the events that had just taken place. Had they all forgotten them? However, the black iron school gate that was there before had disappeared. There were no traces of it. The teachers who had come didn’t seem to notice either, turning their heads away from the empty space. Maybe the gate, broken into half, then half, and then half again, had been left behind in the disappeared world, sucked into the light as well. Sucked in with the prejudices of the law. Where... that place had gone, Tsukasa neither knew nor cared. Morning on the campus continued as normal. *notes* Erm well i dont really own this whole thing to be honest i found it on devianart while trying to find the translations ermm link to the translator devianart is here

thedetectiveofinaba:
“I see… That is oddly similar to a stunt I did once. It was closer to rushing past it to get to my end target.” She mused how that was quite impressive for a 16-year-old detective and what was in all irony ideal to her goals. Tsukasa would definitely have to tell her all about that incident: it was too interesting to be fully ignored.
She pointed at the same construction area she had trespassed earlier and mentioned how she’d heard from several parties how it was shady and had wanted to try to see if they were just rumors or hidden truth from her. “To be frank with you… I want mental support and the skills you have to further explore this area with you. I could have asked Takahashi-kun in this but he had a work shift and I do not want to intimidate him too much. If you want any reassurance on if this is a bad idea, all of the guards are absent today due to a national holiday and I know the locations of all security cameras.”
“Skills, huh...” Tsukasa doesn’t have to heart to mention it’d been said in jest. There are no guards, security cameras can be avoided with Michiru’s knowledge, and being caught won’t pose too much of a problem because this isn’t home turf. Her height may—
This is why she’s been asked to tag along! Her height! No other Naoto is as tall as she is. So that’s why...
“I guess I could help. I might put the infiltration skills I learned today to good use in the future!” Say she doesn’t, but that’s alright with her. Inaba was becoming a bit dull again, anyway. What Dad doesn’t know won’t kill him. Turning to face the chain link fence, Tsukasa scans at the deceptively simple obstacle blocking their path. It’s taller than they are, but it’s nothing a little climbing won’t solve.
There’s just a problem.
As a non-native of this world, she has no idea what kind of defense the people around here put up. Sure, this is a fence, but what if there’s some magic forcefield, or hidden, deadly lasers?
“So... what’s the plan, Michi? Any magic forcefields we need to avoid?” She can show off her skills once they’re inside. Hopefully. Being dead weight is certainly a concern she can’t ignore.

Zi-O 37: Gotta go fast!
I’m gonna sprinkle in some chat segments from the live watch that @miyukomatsuda and I did of the episode as it aired, but this is mostly my watch of the RiderTime sub.
(I’m also hoping to do a watch of some of the recent episodes again, but with the O-T subs, so that I can get a more… well phrased translation.)
As always, spoilers for Zi-O episode 37 below the cut.
~~~~~
So, a giant meteorite just hit. It doesn’t have a Rider inside this time, though! No, it has Worms! Shapeshifters! Who are basically the Zygons!
(I don’t go to Doctor Who anymore, but that’s what I’ve been told, and the impression I got from Marcosatsu’s History of Kabuto vid.)
Team 9-to-5 are watching a news broadcast at breakfast about the meteorite – aaaand nope, newscaster’s a Worm, much to the poor cameraman’s surprise.
Cressy: Woz: Welp! Found out who we’ve got this week!
Miyuko: “My turn to do things.”
Miyuko: “Also, we dealt with the gas leak.”
Miyuko: “We should all be sane again.”
(The idiot ball was in full force during the Kiva Arc. We will never let it rest.)
~~~~~
Sougo, Tsukuyomi, and Geiz are headed off to see where that second meteorite hit, the one with the worms on it, when a third one shoots down, in the other direction. So, off they go, splitting the party. Again.
Poor Geiz, he’s with Woz again. Who, by the way, is nowhere to be seen, having ditched the team to go do his recap.
At… the Hachiko statue.
Huh.
And the key player for this fortnight’s worth of episodes… Kamen Rider Gatack – Arata Kagami.
Who is clearly in a state of “Not this again...” as another meteorite streaks by. Or it could be that one that split the party, it’s a little hard to say.
~~~~~
They used part of the Kabuto opening – with the beetle wings – to cut into the OP this time! Nice touch!
I was host for the stream Miyuko and I did when we watched the Raw, and I BLINKED AND MISSED THE FORM RUN THROUGH that time! And here I pride myself on noticing differences in the OPs!
But Kamen Rider Woz’s base form has been replaced by his Ginga form, with the ‘base’ version, Ginga Finaly shown in full, and the Planet and Sun forms shown in bust form.
~~~~~
And FINALLY, they notice that the Another Rider’s aren’t erasing the previous Riders from history anymore! They haven’t been doing that for a while, guys. I mean, if they were still doing it, you wouldn’t have been able to have all of your senpai help you out in the movie last December… you know, shortly before you moved into having Future Riders for a while, and then back into the older Legend Riders.
You might write it off as ‘odd’, or ‘paradoxes have messed with space-time nearly beyond repair’, but I still say that time travel doesn’t work like you think it does.
I will hold my ‘they have been faking it’ theory until absolutely proven otherwise, folks.
…and I’m still going to be using it in ReUnited, anyway. ~Fanfiction land says I can do what I want.~
Besides, Sougo’s having fun! He’s getting to meet all of these Kamen Riders, after all!
…Sougo, kitty, I’m pretty sure you still don’t quite get how serious some of this is, but you get a solid B for effort.
~~~~~
Cressy: THEY FINALLY REALIZE THAT THEY AREN’T ERASING PEOPLE ANYMORE
Miyuko: YOU DUMBASSES
Miyuko: Mouri: DAMNIT SHIMOMIYA STOP MAKING ME HANDLE LORE
~~~~~
At the third landing site…
Woz. Woz you are so unbelievably petty. “I will be giving the orders around here, let’s go.” For crying out loud, Woz, just work as a team with Geiz, please.
So, off they go, into battle against a swarm of Worms using Faiz and Kikai!
~~~~~
Miyuko: if sougo goes to space i’m gonna yell that I called it
~~~~~
SOUGO IS SO DUMB.
SOUGO. You already knew that they could copy people. You SAW one do it on tv. So why would you assume that the people working at the crash site, where that broadcast came from, were normal humans?
Sougo, PLEASE.
Also, it looks like the Worms agree with me: right before they drop their disquises, they’re giving him this look like “Wow, this kid is dumb.”
And before Sougo bothers to transform, shots fly from off screen~!
Hey there, Gatack! Nice to see you’re doing okay!
~~~~~
Meanwhile, over with Woz and Geiz, we’ve got them landing finishers on a pair of Worms… but there’s still more of them. And, as Woz finally bothers to mention…
Worms can go faster than you can see when they get stronger.
(I agree with Geiz’s frustration at not having been told this sooner! WOZ!!)
Good thing they’ve got Revive Typhoon and Shinobi~~!
~~~~~
Back with Sougo and Kagami… They finish off a mass of Worms, but something red knocks them down.
Something – sorry, someone – that Kagami calls ‘Kageyama’.
Enter PunchHopper.
And with his entrance, Kagami goes into Gatack’s cast off Rider form – and right into Clock Up.
~~~~~
Cressy: “Hey, new kid, how fast can you go?”
Cressy: Actually, super speed is a problem for Sougo!
Miyuko: Sougo: UHHHHHHH
Miyuko: He has to hide
Cressy: Because he couldn’t keep up with Revive so
~~~~~
The battle starts to deal some collateral damage to the infrastructure, leading to rubble starting to fall towards a mother and child.
Tsukuyomi says no.
A stopwatch ticks.
The rubble freezes in midair, letting the civilians escape.
Tsukuyomi sees something.
Herself, younger, and three people facing away from the cameras viewpoint. At least one is an adult – presumably male, in an outfit that looks an awful lot like the one Swartz wore in 2009. The other two… I think the one to the left of the screen is a young girl, with pigtails. The one on the right looks to be an adult male… and it’s very grainy, but that style of dress looks like a black and white version of what Sougo’s uncle wears.
Of course, she only focuses in on young her and almost-definitely-Swartz.
Please, Toei, Shimomiya, I am begging you, do not let anyone be related. We’ve got both time travel and amnesia going on in here already, we do not want you to go that route!
~~~~~
Swartz sees this from a nearby roof, and notes that her powers are getting stronger, and soon they’ll completely awaken.
Someone asks what will happen when they do.
~~~~~
Miyuko: **YELLS**
Miyuko: TSUKASA
Cressy: Tsukasa: Sup.
Miyuko: WERE YOU OFF GETTING LAID TSUKASA
Cressy: Look at that posture
Cressy: Daiki showed up.
Cressy: he def was.
~~~~~
Tsukasa: “So… you’re connected to that girl somehow. I’ve been doing some investigating…”
Swartz: “Oh, yeah, sure. Do what you want… If you can.” (he says in an ominous tone, ominously.)
Tsukasa: “Thanks. I’ll do just that.”
~~~~~
Back on the ground, Sougo… is getting his ass handed to him. But! He does have the realization that the speed PunchHopper and Gatack are moving at is similar to Geiz Revive Typhoon… and he’s figured out a way to counter that.
It used to be that he was only looking one move ahead when he used Zi-O II’s precog abilities.
He’s looking ahead three here.
Sougo knows he won’t be able to react in time for the first two strikes, but the third…
On the third he can time a strike of his own.
And he knocks PunchHopper down.
Gatack tries to finish him off – but a red blur takes the hit.
Another Kabuto has made his appearance, and it looks like he’s Sou Yaguruma, former alias KickHopper. He grabs PunchHopper, and nyooms right on out of there.
~~~~~
Miyuko: OH FUCK IT’S ONE FO THE HOPPER BROS
Cressy: OH MY GOD ANOTHER KABUTO IS ONE OF THE HOPPER BROS
Miyuko: KAGAMIII
Cressy: OR A WORM OF ONE OF THEM
Miyuko: IS IT TIME FOR HIM TO SUFFER (We saw one was a worm
Miyuko: (shame we uh
Miyuko: (remember the rider sona
~~~~~
(Miyuko’s at least watched some Kabuto, but not very far. I, on the other hand, have seen exactly none, and would have no idea which one we saw in the cold open.)
~~~~~
Now then, we jump to Kagami explaining the situation to Woz and Sougo at the shop, giving them a basic run down of who the Hell Brothers are, along with showing them pictures. Pictures of the terribly dated late ‘00’s Hot Topic discount bin wardrobes that those two wore.
Kagami: So, the PunchHopper is definitely a Worm mimicking the original.
Woz: How can you know?
~~~~~
Miyuko: Woz intensifies
Miyuko: “Pretty sure he’s dead.”
Cressy: “So, yeah, he’s dead, but. uh. Apparently not anymore.”
Miyuko: “Fuck if I know, guys.”
Miyuko: Shibuya!
Miyuko: FLASHBACK TO KABUTO
Cressy: “Also, it’s really weird that Shibuya exists again.”
Miyuko: “Wait what”
Miyuko: Sougo: :)
Miyuko: Woz: “THE FUCK?!”
~~~~~
So, yeah, the timelines are a mess here. In 1999, in Kabuto, Shibuya was destroyed by a meteorite – one carrying the Worms. It’s … incredibly intact here.
OH. DUUUHHHH. That’s why Woz was at the Hachiko Statue!
It’s at Shibuya station.
WOW, I feel dumb. I remembered who Hachiko was, but didn’t catch the link as to why Woz would be there until just now.
Also, Sougo, I get that you were born in 2000, but. Like. That was only one year later. I thought your only decent subject was history! If this happened in the current timeline, you ought to know about it!
~~~~~
At an overlook, Geiz finds Tsukuyomi, having been told about her using her time powers again, and she tells him that she remembered something. Her mother and father, and ‘another man’.
… wait SHIT I said that the seated man’s outfit looked a lot like Junichiro’s, didn’t I? ABORT MISSION! NO, NO, NO! CALL IT OFF! STOP THE RIDE, I WANNA GET OFF!
Tsukasa appears on the scene. “Hey, so. Do you want to take a look and see what was going on back there? I’m trying to find the source of why the fabric of space and time is getting holes poked in it, so if you want to come along…”
… Okay, so he says ‘distorted,’ according to the RT subs, but it amounts to the same thing.
Geiz thinks this is a terrible idea, but Tsukuyomi wants to know who she is. So she goes with him.
Er, Tsuka- Tsukasa? I think you are a poster child for ‘sometimes you are better off not knowing who you used to be’, just as much as you are for ‘don’t lean too hard into the world-destruction prophecies.’ You may want to rethink your stance on this.
Mind you, you’re also a shining example of ‘there’s no escaping destiny’ and ‘you can’t thwart stage one’, so I guess that ship has already sailed.
~~~~~
Miyuko: TSUKASA’S UP TO THINGS
Cressy: Tsukasa: “GUYS, QUIT FUCKING WITH THE TIMELINE. YOU’RE MAKING MY JOB AND THE DENLINER CREW’S JOBS THAT MUCH HARDER”
~~~~~
So, a quick call between Geiz and Sougo, and we switch back to the Sougo and Woz team. (Man, we’re really getting the groups together this week, aren’t we?)
They’re confronted by Kageyama – who, yes, is a Worm. And he admits it. But he still has the original Kageyama’s memories as a human, and he wants them to help his brother. Worm or human, he can’t stand to see Yaguruma as an Another Rider – as a monster. They’ve seen too much hell for him to want any more.
Woz: My lord, this is clearly a trap.
Sougo: You need to start trusting people, Woz. Besides, we want to help save Yaguruma, too, don’t we? :)
Except that that is not his usual ‘This is going fine!’ smile. That is a smile of ‘he knows what’s going on.’
… You know, So Okuno’s really grown into his role, here. I think he’ll be able to do pretty well once he graduates from Sougo.
(He’s grown into his role, if not his clothing. Seriously, wardrobe department, could you let him wear clothes that fit properly? Why was this whole ‘everything is minimum a size and a half too big’ thing a decision?)
ANYWAY. THIS is a good scene for the instrumental of Toki no Ouja.
Also, you can hear the belts and chains Kageyama’s wearing well before you see them.
~~~~~
A quick interlude to Junichiro, back at the shop, having just fixed a radio. He goes to make sure it’s actually fixed, and turns it to the news.
There’s a large meteor headed for the center of Tokyo. And it’s much larger than the previous ones that have hit.
…
WAIT WHAT
(cue shot of said meteor in space)
~~~~~
Miyuko: OH MY GOD THEY ARE GOING TO SPACE
~~~~~
And now, to a totally-not-suspicious definitely-not-a-trap perfectly-harmless warehouse.
Sougo: So, Yaguruma’s supposed to be in here, right? (proceeds to walk in, with his back towards the guy who literally calls himself one of the Hell Brothers, like an idiot)
KAGEYAMA GOES TO STRANGLE HIM FROM BEHIND. BECAUSE OF COURSE HE DOES.
But he doesn’t get to – because Kagami bodychecks him away.
Kagami: “Kid, NO! You’re too naive! Walking into a trap like this!”
Kageyama: “Ahahaha… I mean, yeah, it’s a trap, but it’s not for the brat.”
Another Kabuto SLAMS into Kagami.
Kageyama: “We’re after you.”
Kagami and Kageyama both transform.
~~~~~
Cressy: THANK YOU KAGAMI
Miyuko: Aw yiss
Miyuko: Shoutout to Mouri USING THE RETURNING LADS
Cressy: STRAIGHT INTO CAST OFF
Cressy: UNLIKE INOUE
~~~~~
PunchHopper LUNGES at Sougo, who is just standing there – there’s a clicking sound – and a massive surge of gravity slams PunchHopper to the ground. (cue Miyuko and I basically just shouting WHAT into the chat)
Oh my god. Turns out Woz’s attack is even more ridiculous than I’d thought. He’s allegedly channeling the gravity of 10,000 black holes, because that’s totally a thing that’s possible. … Meh, he’s got reinforcements from the armor, he’ll be fine.
Woz: Ah, yes, as expected of my overlord. Taking advantage of the enemies trap-
Sougo: Er, actually, I just wanted him to take me to Yaguruma. Now we just have to defeat the two of them. (goes to transform)
Everything starts to shake.
Oh, there’s that giant meteor!
Rider Time!
Zi-O! Fourze!
3! 2! 1! Fourze!
~~~~~
Miyuko: HE’S GOING TO
Miyuko: OH MY GOOOOD
Cressy: UCHUUU KITAAAAAAAAA
Miyuko: UCHUU IKUUUUU
Miyuko: Sougo pls
Cressy: FINE I’LL TAKE THE MESS UP
~~~~~
I mean, if it stops a GIANT METEOR FROM HITTING TOKYO? I don’t CARE if he gets the catchphrase wrong!
And it’s pretty close, anyway. Way better than his attempts at Ex-Aid’s and especially Build’s catchphrases.
~~~~~
Back to Gatack versus the Hell Brothers, who are soon joined by Woz.
Turns out, Yaguruma doesn’t care that Kageyama’s a Worm, since he’s the only one willing to be his partner.
After being tremendously outsped, and taking a few good blows, Woz unleashes an incredibly over-the-top finisher in the form of his Planetary Explosion. Yes, I know that’s not the actual name, but my computer’s autocorrect is a pain, and I’m not going to try typing out any of the forms that attacks real name can take. I don’t want to teach my computer that.
And there’s a huge explosion of flame, flames spreading across the floor… Woz gives a grandiose pair of quotes in a very Tendou style, down to the pointing. But a sound comes from ground zero of the attack.
A green suit drags itself into a standing position.
KickHopper: I don’t believe in the power of the universe… I only believe in the power of hell…
He lands a Rider Kick that Woz just manages to get a guard up in time to block. When Woz can look up… nobody’s there.
Geiz comes in… but none of the three returning characters are around anymore.
There is, however, a ‘message’. Someone’s left a package of instant bowl ramen, and a note, with one word.
“Hell.”
SO THAT’S NOT OMINOUS AS FUCK AT ALL.
~~~~~
Miyuko: “Wait, I’ve had this form one ep why am I being worfed”
Cressy: WELCOME TO BAD TIMES
Cressy: ON BOTH ENDS OF THE TIMELINE
~~~~~
A portal appears in the air, in 2058. Tsukuyomi and Tsukasa step out, to when she would have been 8 years old, into a ruined city.
With an incredibly ominous looking cloud front and thunderstorm off in the distance.
~~~~~
Back to 2019… Geiz… is in no position to do anything but leave the whole meteor thing to Sougo. A man in black, with copious chains, drags himself through the river below. “Did… someone laugh at me?”
Yaguruma, what are you doing there?
~~~~~
IT’S SPACE TIME!
Sougo’s ready! He can do this! He -
Did not realize how big that was actually going to be!
But he drills through the meteor with a Limit Time Break, shattering it… and also releasing a bunch of Worms that were in there into the vacuum of space.
Oh well.
Except that one wasn’t the real problem.
No, the real problem is that the grey meteor?
Is a pebble in comparison to the giant red one behind it.
Everything is very red in 2068.
~~~~~
Miyuko: THISISFINE
Miyuko: oh shit
Miyuko: IS THIS WHY THE EARTH IS FUCKED UP
Miyuko: SPAAACE
Miyuko: oh boy SOUGO PLS
Cressy: SOUGO BABBY
Miyuko: GEN WOULD BE SO PROUD
Cressy: DID YOU NOT REALIZE FROM HOW BIG IT SEEMED
Cressy: OBJECTS IN MIRROR-
Miyuko: HOLY SHIT
Miyuko: POSE
(He was pretty close, with the pose! It’s… probably easier in 0G, given Gens whole thing.)
Cressy: OH MY GOD HE DRILLED THROUGH A METEOR
Miyuko: OH NOOOOOOOO FUCK
Cressy: OH MY GOD THAT WAS A PEBBLE
Miyuko: OH NO OH NO OH NOOOOOOO
Miyuko: THIS IS WHY THE EARTH IS FUCKED IN 2068 ISN’T IT
Cressy: OH MY GOD THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO FUCK UP THE PLANET
Cressy: IT’S REMNANTS ALL OVER AGAIN. I AM HAVING K.A. APPLEGATE FLASHBACKS HERE
Miyuko: WELL BOY FUCKING HOWDY WHAT A ZI O. -oh god PLEASE LET THE KABUTO WATCH GO TO KAGAMI. PLEASE
Miyuko: But Damn that was toei making it up to us from last week huh
Cressy: OH YES
Miyuko: GOOD USE OF RETURNING ACTORS.
DRAMA
STAKES
SOUGO DRILLING A METEOR.
TSUKASA CAME BACK.
Cressy: Tsukasa: “It’s not technically spoilers if it’s your own past, right? Right. I could have used this sort of heads up.”
~~~~~
So! Yeah! We were! Basically just completely screaming after that!
This is a much better episode than the last two. Thank you, Mouri-san! THANK YOU!

Zi-O 21; both raw AND subbed~!
Advance Warning: I have never seen Ryuki, and it’s probably going to show. A lot, if only because I have no connection to whoever the Guest Characters are, and what any issues they bring in could mean. I’ve seen Marcosatsu’s History Of Ryuki though, so that should help a little. (three links, because he wound up doing it in three parts)
Starting off with watching the Raw!
BlackWoz’s Storytime Vault doesn’t have much to offer, aside from a worrying angle at the end.
I’m impressed by Uhr’s control with reversing the damage he’s doing to that mirror. Of course, he’s paying almost zero attention to Schwartz in the process, but there’s a method to his being a little brat this time.
He’s trying to get the attention of some guy in Ryuki’s mirror world.
Sounds like his idea is “So, my new candidate? He’s from another world. Remember how that Tsukasa guy traveled? It’s kinda like that, but not.”
(What was going on in Ryuki?! Also, how many endings is this going to make for that season? Because I seem to remember hearing that there’s like, five? At least?)
I like the touch with Another Ryuga’s name and year – they’re backwards, like you’d see in a mirror.
Sougo’s DEFINITELY using Gun Mode a lot more recently. I like it’s finisher with Double, though – it’s basically a smaller scale version of the CycloneTrigger Memory Break. … What was that one called? Ah, there it is. Trigger Aerobuster.
Names are important. I’m doing my best to get them right.
But it’s basically that, with purple shots in the center of the wind bursts.
… of course, it gets reflected right back at them, because MIRRORS, but still. Points for fighting at a distance, especially with that dragon arm – that was doing some damage, it looked like.
Geiz’s Drive armor is back! (I’ve missed the shift cars, so it’s nice to at least see Max Flare, Funky Spike, and Midnight Shadow’s tires again.)
But again, mirrors.
Tsukuyomi: So, you lost him?
Sougo: Well, yes, but also we had to help the injured construction worker.
Geiz: And everything got sent back at us, so…
blah blah, ‘whats the deal with the time jackers’ blah…
“What IS this Day of Oma you mentioned, anyway?” Good question, bud.
“Well, in our history, it’s the day that Oma Zi-O took over the world.” Geiz, I get that you’re upset. But. Um. What did you just do to that chessboard?
As far as I know, you’re not able to cause shockwaves. Not just by symbolically slamming a chess piece down. ...I don’t know anything about chess, but I’m assuming that piece is the Black King. Wiping out all of his opposition in one strike… along with all of his allies.
Sougo retaliates with “And the one WhiteWoz is from, says that you stopped that from happening.” He uses the White Knight to knock down the Black King, leaving the Knight alone on the board.
And then we have the Time Jackers, trying to get someone else altogether in charge. Black Bishop takes out the White Knight. The Time Jackers are from the same timeline as Tsukuyomi and Geiz, after all.
That day is when the world’s future is decided… ooh, ominous.
… drat, have to skip the next bit of exposition, but while they’re outside talking about… victims? I think?
I hear that same sound that heralded Geiz’s Time Mazine arriving back in Episode one.
Okay, so the victims are all connected to the magazine/journal/website from Ryuki? Makes sense.
Oh man, Shinji’s already dead?! Welp, that’s it, arc over, time to go home. (dusts off hands)
Hm. He covered up all the reflective surfaces – which would include windows and vents. Because Mirror World.
Of course, that poses a problem when you use a gas heater.
Okay, so at this point, while I was watching, Over-Time posted their subs. So I just got the script, went back to the beginning, and started over.
Well, at least BlackWoz is going along with the nicknames for now. I guess he understands the need for the distinction.
Hm. Schwartz seems to think that Geiz is going to be trying for the throne on the Day of Oma. But, sir, have you met this kid? Yes, yes you have, we’ve seen you interact with him. There is nearly no way that Geiz would ever want to be in charge.
...I say nearly, because time travel and predestination and all of that jazz. WhiteWoz is screwing with the kids head.
HUH. Uhr’s logic isn’t even “it’s kinda like that Decade guy”, he was specifically told about the Mirror World by Tsukasa. (insert a certain 10-year-old meme here.)
And what’s even more interesting than that… is that Schwartz didn’t know about the Mirror World.
And we’ve already seen that Schwartz can go to other timelines, as per when he created the Another Shinobi Watch.
Hm, looks like we’re in for another variation of ‘not the Another Rider you think he is’, aren’t we? Another Ryuga has the last portion of his name covered by what appear to be burnmarks. Much like how Another OOO’s year was cracked, so it could appear to be 2016 while actually being 2010.
Oh dear GOD they’ve been fighting Another Ryuga for a WEEK. He just keeps showing up and disappearing. (Because mirrors, not that they know that.)
“Why do they keep getting harder to fight?” Well, Sougo, it’s probably largely because we’re about out of Phase Twos, and the Earlier Heisei Riders were pretty brutal, from what I’ve heard. Plus, you keep getting teleporters involved, so that doesn’t help in the slightest.
Thank you for finally asking what the Day of Oma is, though.
(Low INT, high-ish WIS.)
“Well, what future do the two of you want?” Asks the noodle with a pretty decent Charisma stat. And neither Geiz or Tsukuyomi actually have an answer for him.
(Ow, my heart.)
Okay, all the victims followed Ore Journal online, but it has since gone completely under, since it just couldn’t keep up with the times.
I was right on the money about Shinji, though, he clearly knows full well about the reflection teleportation, and now so do The Kids.
GEIZ I UNDERSTAND YOUR LOGIC. BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN I HAVE TO LIKE IT.
“Beat him in the time before the attack returns.” Because there’s a lag before the mirror shield shows up, so there’s a brief window of time. But an attack that would take it out that quickly would return just as powerful… directly at where it came from. Also known as the Rider who launched it.
And also also known as Geiz, if he gets his way.
Because a soldier who can’t defeat his enemies isn’t much of a soldier, now is he?
(Thanks a lot, eps 15 and 16. Thanks.)
Aaaand Uncle Tokiwa doesn’t actually know Woz’s name! All he could do for the Watch was clean it up… oooooh...
Sougo’s next powerup has an awful lot of that burnished gold on it. The same, or almost the same, tone as Oma Zi-O’s.
“Hello, my overlord~!” “Not. Now.”
Good boy, Sougo. And you even met this weeks tribute, and didn’t realize it!
I still don’t buy the “he doesn’t remember” thing, by the way, especially given the mirrored surfaces – how would he have known without having been Ryuki? Does he know about all the other victims? I don’t think you’ve actually talked to him yet. But I’ll let the memory ‘detail’ slide for now, since it looks like BlackWoz is actually being straightforward at the moment…
Aaand Sougo’s desperately trying to ignore him. Fair. Since that second Zi-O watch is tied to him becoming evil and all. Decent WIS stat, and also BlackWoz’s idea of ‘subtle’ is very much not so.
Meanwhile, with Geiz and Tsukuyomi… Yeah. He doesn’t plan to come out of this fight. Because what good is a soldier who can’t win?
And also, he, too, knows he is being stalked by his own personal Woz.
“What’s your end goal? If I come out on top, what’s your future like?”
“Just like this, a peace as if time has stopped.”
… Hi, yeah, not here for that phrasing at all, actually. Having just come out of HUGtto! Precure, wherein ‘stopping time so that despair can’t happen’ was kind of the villians whole thing, I’m trusting you even less than before.
Nothing can disturb the peace if nothing moves again, now can it?
But for Geiz and Tsukuyomi, literal veterans who have seen armies destroyed in the wave of an arm… they don’t have that frame of reference, now do they? They might just hear the “a time not unlike the one here” aspect.
“Hey, think I can use that notebook?”
“Nope, nuh-uh, OP reality warper powers are mine and mine alone.”
OOF. Right. Uhr contracted Mirror World Shinji, didn’t he? Which, of course, means that his existence is tied to Regular World Shinji’s existence. Can’t defeat the Another Rider? Take out his other link to living.
WhiteWoz and his “Obstacles are for killing” attitude does not sit well with Geiz.
“Hey, other me! You want revenge on that guy, right? The one who attacked you? Of course ya do! Why not!”
Meanwhile, Regular Shinji looks like he’s having thoughts along the lines of “I’m not going back to the belt! I’m out, man! I finished! I’ve finished like FIVE times already! Let me retire!”
Huh. The smudge over ‘Ryuga’ is gone. Neat. (aaand at which point I realized i’ve probably been spelling it wrong, and went back to fix all the places I used two ‘u’s on instinct.)
Clever, clever Uhr. “You can’t get a watch from a person who never existed, from a world that no longer ever was.”
...well, Schwartz could go to alternate timelines, so… Hey, Geiz, Tsukuyomi, Sougo, did any of you happen to get Tsukasa’s contact info?
Also, Tsukasa, did you have to clue the Time Jackers in on the ‘other worlds’ thing? I’m just saying, that might come back to bite you.
You are coming back, right? You don’t get to drop cryptic ‘I’m destroying this world first’ comments, and give tips to the assorted groups, and then just never come back.
It’s rude.
We need some sort of follow-through on this stuff, at least.
Geiz attempts his suicide attack… but Sougo knocks him out of the kick before he can gain momentum…
“I’m not letting you die, damnit! You still need to make sure I don’t go evil, and I’m definitely tempted by this watch right now...”
and then said watch doesn’t even try to activate.
Aaaand then Sougo gets wrestled into the Mirror World.
(Isn’t that place supposed to be super fatal if you don’t have an Advent Deck?)
Aaaah! The backwards writing, and the fact that some of it is glitching is bad enough. But the lack of sound? Nope, I’m not here for that at all. That’s never a good sign.
Although Kudos to O-T for getting the subtitles for some of those signs. Well done.
So, yeah, sorry Sougo, it’s not 3-Days-From-Now You this time. (But seriously, what happened to him?) This time it’s Evil You.
Not even 50-Years-From-Now Bad-Ending Evil You.
We’re talking a “Terran Empire Enterprise” type of Evil You. … well, at least he doesn’t have a goatee.
OH GOD AAAAGH GO BACK TO SILENCE PLEASE
Distorted belt effects are not okay! Agh! NononoNO!
Oh, and uh... Hey! Remember literally yesterday? When I said I’m loving the ‘parallel self’ juxtapositions that Zi-O’s been doing?
I should probably have remembered that the Ryuki tribute was next, and that I’ve seen the preview screenshots with Mirror Sougo being super creepy.
I may have changed my mind a bit on that juxtaposition love.
MISTAKES WERE MADE.
#kamen rider zi o#kamen rider ryuki#sailorcressy says#...i'm probably going to be making an Updated Faction List after 22#aren't I?

I was running low on battery so I wasn't able to finish this, I was considering only covering the main Valkryies, but I suppose I should add some Schicksal and Anti-Entropy affiliates as well.
Schicksal affiliates:
Otto Apocalypse's VA, Akira Ishida, also does the voice of Byakuya Togami from Danganronpa (fitting since they're both rich assholes, but at least Byakuya's an actually likeable asshole), and Mega Man Juno from Mega Man Legends (!!!), wait, if Otto killed Fu Hua and indirectly caused the death of Himeko... huh, so we've got Mega Man Juno killing off Axl, and he also indirectly caused the death of Ciel...what a coincidence that all characters involved also share the same VAs with Mega Man characters.
Ai-Chan's VA, Yui Horie, also does the voice of Mitama Yakumo from Magia Record.
Siegfried Kaslana's VA, Tomokazu Seki, also voices Meito Anizawa from Lucky Star, Viewtiful Joe, Sly Cooper, he also voices Sonic's Werehog form in Sonic Unleashed.
Cecilia Schriac's VA, Yū Kobayashi, also voices Sasha Braus from Attack on Titan, Mahiru Koizumi from Danganronpa 2 (!!!), Model A from Mega Man ZX Advent, (wait...Otto launched nukes while Cecilia was fighting the 2nd Herrscher, Sirin, which killed them both...damnit why is Juno killing every other Megaman-related character in this game), and Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening (!!!).
Durandal's (Please make her a playable character, MiHoYo) VA, Mamiko Noto, also voices Shūko Kido from Rockman.EXE Hikari to Yami no Isan (Translated: Megaman Battle Network: Program of Light and Dark) (Yes, another Megaman one!), and Jun Kazama from Tekken, (Otto hasn't killed her, at least not yet, so I guess she doesn't fit the pattern of Megaman-related characters being killed off in the game.)
Moving onto the Anti-Entropy affiliates...
Cocolia is voiced by Misa Katou, unfortunately, I wasn't able to find anything about her.
Albert Einstein (this game has a habit of referencing and genderbending people)'s VA, Mitsuki Saiga, also voices Tsukasa from .hack//sign, Enzan Ijuuin from Megaman NT Warrior (starting from Axxess), Maria Ross from Fullmetal Alchemist, the Dragon Quest Hero in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Link in the Link's Awakening remake and A Link Between Worlds.
Nikola Tesla's VA, Ayana Taketatsu, also does the voice for Azusa Nakano from K-On!, Leafa/Suguha from SAO, and Alina Gray from Magia Record, Fun Fact: She started a singing unit with Aoi Yūki, the voice of Rita Rossweisse, called Petit Milady. (funny, since in the game Tesla is captured and tied up by Rita and has hated her ever since.)
Joachim Nokianvirtanen is a trickier one, he has two VAs, Yoshimasa Hoyosa, who voices him as an adult, and Mariya Ise, who voices him as a kid, so I'll be going over both of them.
Yoshimasa Hoyosa also voices Nezumi from No. 6 and Reiner Braun from Attack on Titan. Fun Fact: He's the Japanese dub VA for Jacob Black from the Twilight Saga.
Mariya Ise also voices Bonnie from Pokemon XY, and Nagisa Shingetsu from Danganronpa, Fun Fact: She's also the Japanese dub VA for Scootaloo from MLP.
Sin Mal's VA, Sumire Uesaka, is also the Japanese dub VA for Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls.
Okay, I suppose I'll list the VAs for the Herrschers, too.
There is no info on the voice of the 1st Herrscher, Welt Joyce, I don't think he has ever spoken in-game so far.
The 2nd Herrscher, the Herrscher of the Void, Sirin, is voiced by Sakura Tange, who also voices Sakura Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura, (That's a lotta Sakuras), Cardinal from Sword Art Online, and Kazumi Subaru from Magia Record.
The 3rd Herrscher is Mei, who I've already covered.
The 4th Herrscher, Wendy, is voiced by Ryouko Maekawa, who I couldn't find a lot of info on.
Annnd that's all of 'em! Whew! That was a lot of typing.
Guess what I found?
One of my favorite hobbies/time killers is going to Honkai Impact 3rd's Wikipedia page and looking at the Filmography of every character's voice actor/actress, a little creepy, but hey, whatever.
What I like doing is going through the list of voices they've done in other media and stuff like that to see if they've done voices of any other character I recognized, and THESE are my findings:
Kiana Kaslana's VA, Rie Kugimiya, also does the voice of Shana from Shakugan no Shana, I'm not really interested, but I do recognize the character, she also does the voice of Touka Satomi from Magia Record!
Raiden Mei's VA, Miyuki Sawashiro, also does the voice of Toko Fukawa from Danganronpa, Cammy from Street Fighter, Dynatron from Mighty No. 9, Sinon from SAO, and Female Robin in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Bronya Zaychik's VA, Kana Asumi, also does the voice of Felicia from Darkstalkers, whom I recognized due to her role as a Solo Unit in Project X Zone 2, funny, since their voices are extremely different.
Himeko Murata's VA, Rie Tanaka, also does the voice of Ciel from the Mega Man Zero series (!!!), and Morrigan Aensland from Darkstalkers, wasn't super surprised she voiced Morrigan, their voices are very simillar.
Theresa Apocalypse's VA, Yukari Tamura, also does the voice of Mii Koryuuji from Project X Zone (!!!), and Bounce Man from Mega Man 11 (!!!)
Fu Hua's VA, Minami Takayama, also does the voice of DETECTIVE CONAN, which was a huuuge shocker, AXL FROM THE MEGA MAN X SERIES (Fangirl squealing intensifies, I love MMX so much) Pit and Dark Pit from Kid Icarus: Uprising, AND HAJIME HINATA FROM DANGANRONPA 2 (!!!). Fu Hua was always one of my favorite Valkryies in the game, but I had NO IDEA she did all these voices! Shame that Fu Hua died in Chapter 9, oh, well, at least she still appears from time to time as a ghost.
Yae Sakura's VA, Ayane Sakura (coincidence?), also does the voice of Tsubaki Sawabe from Your Lie in April (!!!), Felicia Mitsuki from Magia Record, and Kasumi from Pokemon Masters.
Kallen Kaslana's VA, Nana Mizuki, also was the Japanese dub VA of Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games, interesting...
Rita Rossweisse's VA, Aoi Yūki, also does the voice of Yuuki Konno from Sword Art Online, Maya Fey from Ace Attorney (!!!) AND MADOKA KANAME FROM PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA (!!!)!
Seele Vollerei's VA, Mai Nakahara, also does the voice of Estelle from Tales of Vesperia.
Liliya Olenyeva's VA, Yuu Serizawa, also does the voice of Nijimi Anazawa from Magical Girl Site.
Rozaliya Olenyeva's VA, Aoi Koga, also does the voice of Akemi from JoJo's Bizzare Adventure.
MiHoYo certainly did not go cheap hiring voice actors/actresses.
