The Astrology of Chris Farley

Now if you grew up in the 90s/early 2000s era, then you probably grew watching this man comedies. He passed when I young but my family still played his movie Tommy Boy all the time!

I thought this would be a cool tribute to him.

So let’s take a look shall we!

-He’s a Leo rising which is literally the sign that represents stardom and fame! He was warm, outgoing, had a fun personality. Their was a childlike quality about him that you just love. He was known as “the class clown” growing up and Leo always have the spotlight on them. Rising degree 5°(Leo degree) Leo degrees indicate fame in a persons chart. Now the 5° is known as short term fame which is true for him unfortunately.

His chart ruler is the Sun. He has Sun Aquarius 7h. Aquarius is the sign of the collective and society. The 7h is the house of partnerships and relationships. This tells me that his entire essence was the people closest to him. Especially his male friends. He might’ve been the more popular of his friend group. People with 7h placements tend to be really popular and well loved. His Sun is 26° (Taurus degree). Taurus energy is stubborn! He was probably very charming and he was able to get away with a lot because of it lol. His 5h which is Leo house is in Sagittarius. He may have known lots of people and sag 5h loves to travel. If he was still here, he would’ve probably met his wife in a foreign country who may have been in the entertainment industry as well.

What first stands out to me though is that Sun-Asc opposition. How he portrayed himself to the public is different than how he actually saw himself. People saw him as this outgoing and open type and he was but he was also very much a loner or he felt like he didn’t fit in. He wanted to fit in because his Sun was there! His lesson was to learn to just be himself without putting on an act.

The 2nd thing that stands out to me is his Sun-Mars Conjunction. No wonder why he had an insane amount of energy. With Saturn connected mean he had great control of his body movements. Being in Aquarius makes it even more fascinating because aqua rules over electricity!

His Pisces moon 8h tells me he was very sensitive to his surroundings and the people around him. He could probably read people very well. Hollywood toxic environment wasn’t it. He should’ve made a movie and moved to the mountains Chile. Pisces rules over substance abuse. With his moon being in the 8h, he was hurting emotionally and drugs was an escape. Scorpio/8h moons emotions are intense and overwhelming. They need to harness that pain into their power! It doesn’t help that his moon ruler Neptune is in Scorpio 4h. Too many emotions. Saturn Aquarius 7h only backs up what I was saying earlier. Even though he was really popular, he still felt like an outcast. Saturn 25°(Aries) Aries rules over your physical body and self. Really bad self conscious issues. This poor man omg!🥲

Uranus-Part of Fortune 2h means he will be blessed with wealth and it he would get it once he’s famous (Sun Aquarius). Virgo is ruled by Mercury which rules over comedy! He also has Uranus-Pluto aspect 2h and this can also indicate huge amounts of wealth(Pluto means wealth) this can indicate abusing your finances. Uranus 2h oppose Chiron Pisces 8h, using your money to help feed your inner demons and pains.

Let’s start with what I didn’t enjoy so I can gush about the rest. 

The leading up to them kissing was too fast paced for me. I understand the struggle of having to make their written conversations into actual scenes and how long it would be to have it follow the natural pace I’d imagined but it lasts about 20 minutes and it’s too quick. The fact that they didn’t include the Christmas phone call, even if rearranged to fit the movie plot, was truly a negative for me. It has Alex be that much vulnerable which would have been the perfect door to the NYE buildup. Maybe it had all the funny banter and not the vulnerable/deep details I needed? I can’t fault them too much for that because the format is to judge here. I know amazon only agreed to a movie but UGH a mini series would have been so good. Hulu why on earth did you not jump at the chance?

I don’t miss June so much it turns out, but I missed Luna. I didn’t care much for Miguel even if they tied his character to the plot nicely.

I’m tired of seeing that damn rue de l’abreuvoir in every movie/show that shows Paris. And those tablecloths? Don’t mind me, it’s my parisian ass being a snob. 

Henry’s fashion style OH MY GOD. And it’s not even a cliché because we’ve all seen the royals for years, looking like high strung puppets with ancient jumpers as they’re called.

The King and Philip scene was too quick as well. The whole I'm gonna take this to Parliament in the book was so strong it spoiled any other ending for me.

That’s about it I think. 

First and foremost, and I don’t see how anyone can disagree: the chemistry is ON POINT. It flows seamlessly yet is palpable the whole time. I love how Nick and Taylor played Henry and Alex as people. As men yes, but I have the feeling they’d have played them the same had it been a het love story. And I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoy that. You know when an actor is thinking “it’s another man opposite me”. You see it plain as day. Not here. They cared a lot about these characters and this story and it shows and it is beautiful. They have crazy sexy chemistry as well which doesn't hurt. I was either grinning like an idiot or trying not to advert my eyes from the screen because there were moments I felt like I shouldn't be watching. They saw the no chemistry allegations and said not today satan, not today.

They casted Henry and Alex so right. Nick has such a vulnerable and open acting, the doubts, the pain, the heartbreak just jump at you and bring you down with him. The NYE countdown part? Where he sees Alex kissing two women and it's not jealousy over them but over the fact that Alex has a freedom he'll never have? Love.

And Taylor... Taylor is the perfect Alex. The bright, exhuberant, confident man who’ll stop at nothing for those he loves. Perfect cast, which you need when the whole movie revolves about two human beings falling in love and fighting for it.

Nora! That’s why I didn’t miss June so much, I guess. Nora and the place they gave her do it all. And with the movie being 2h, you can’t have a billion characters jumping in and out of the story, she’d have been like Bea and she deserves better, more. So I’m glad they decided to cut her off instead of having be a poor adaptation.

While I didn't enjoy the rhythm and lack of depth, the way they brought their messages to life is genius.

Oh and that might get me in trouble but I’m so glad they didn’t keep Your song for the museum scene. 

Uma Thurman's talking about bottoming was never on my bingo card but it was hilarious.

And last but not least: ZAHRA IS A GODDESS. “Touch me and die.” That’s it.

Perfect days (Japan, 2023) - breaking through the pseudo peace

So, I heard about that movie that is good, that it reveals something important that is not that apparent at the first glance. That did sound like worth watching, especially the fact that it did not contain much of the action, but rather series of scenes and slow dialogues not pushing the audience to focus from one shiny - effect loaded image to another. That sounded encouraging. Additionally, my friend, whose opinion I value, told me how amazed he was. Therefore, I could not say: 'no' to that movie.

The purpose of this post is not to summarize the movie for you, if you want to read about it, go to imdb. I write it from selfish reasons purely, I simply want to express my reflections upon having it watched. i find myself drawning in questions and observations after watching a movie or reading a book and I hope that writing it down will clear my head a bit. With that being said, let's get to the nitty gritty.

I am disappointed with the movie. For the most part of it I was just bored. I am not surprised with anything, I haven't gotten any new insight. That is true that at first I assumed the movie to be just naively positive, but movie slowly revealing its true message didn't surprise me either. I must admit, I haven't guessed at first what director aimed to convey. Main character goes through the life in a very simple way. He cleans toilets, lives in poor conditions, he barely speaks, he is very diligent and cares about his work, even though his job is perceived as disrespectful. It does not seem to bother him. He cleans the toilets every day very precisely, he even overdoes it, coming up with his own tools and ways to make it better. How to read it? "Oh, well, it does not truly matters what you do, what matters is your attitude". Is this really true? The main character carries that slight smile on his face, and you can interpret it as a sense of inner peace. "He is absolutely at peace with his ordinary life, not having any desires, not needing anything from life, transcending ego, seeing and valueing what is more important than ego based materialistic goods or statuses". Isn't that what all the spiritual gurus feed us with? " Abandon what is material, status, it is not your real nature. Learn to be in the 'here and now', learn to see through your desires, look at the freaking sky, watch clouds and resist participation in the rats race, endless competition and comparision, striving towards oblivion (whatever that could mean to you)." Pretty much.

Can you be happy cleaning toilets as the cherry on your cake representing life? As a cherry being a representation of your life achievement? Can you? And what role does the routine play for you? Ah, you read about how habits make you a better person? How you can improve yourself? How routine is healthy? How to fucking read this... Really. I believe routine is needed, I certainly need it, because otherwise I will think unnecesarily too long about what I want to do or what i don't want to do and why. It is a freaking nightmare. Therefore, I decide to skip the process of analysis / overthinking and just go with the routine, then at least I know I will progress in some direction. I don't trust my wants and likes in the moment because I think humans are lazy beings by nature, and our minds are bastards trying to soothe us with brain ice cream, making us stay comfortable and stupid. Why the hell have I mentioned routines? Well, I tell you why. Main character fills his days with routines. In the movie it is shown how every day he makes the "bed", has a meal, a can of coffee, washes himself, cleans the toilet being careful about the details, using a mirror checking if he did not miss anything, any dirt. He is smiling. He is patient. He does not talk. Is this peace? Why is he similing when I feel something disturbing? When I feel sad watching him? Is this my projection? Am I just placing in him my unmet ambitions? Why is he cleaning the toilet after other people smiling? No, no, no. He crushes. At some point he crushes. I will not describe how that happens. But the bubble of artifical peace breaks. The structure built of small daily activities falls apart. He knows he failed at life, he knows he colors his loneliness and void with dilligence and service. He cries. You can see tears in his earlier smiling eyes. And that moment is beautiful. Why? Why is it beautiful if he cries? It is beautiful because finally he is honest with himself. He lets himself see the truth. He knows he is a prisoner of this day and the days to follow. He knows he cannot escape it. And in this prison he is all alone. I wonder how his life looked like before. He is that schizoidal? We don't even hear his thoughts. He seems empty. I think he covered up his sadness and separation. Is he sad because of the job he has, not being fullfilled, or rather loneliness? It depends on what I would project onto him. And, honestly, I rather feel sad because of him not even knowing his potential, not even giving himself a chance to explore it. I am not that sad when I think about his loneliness. Or separation. At the end, people wanted to be for him, to some extent, they seemed to care. He however was very encapsulated in his own world, world that also seemed however deprived of anything colorful. What was there really? I think deep down disappointment and despair. But again, this is my projection.

So the question is: are we able to accept reality, even if not fullfilling our need for exploring own potential and expansion? Are we able to just sit on the bench, look at the sky, see clouds passing and be happy that the sun shines at my face? That I have food to eat and roof above me at night? That I am fairly healthy? I know I cannot. I know I need to feel I walk the right direction in my life. That I am aligned with my potential. That I listen to my call. Then, I don't have to eat well, I can barely sleep, I can be under stress. It is worth all of this, I can be separated too, I am already anyway, I can be in an unstable environment, not knowing what will happen. All that is bearable because I know, I am aligned with my inner self, and I hear and let myself be guided my my inner call. The voice screaming to me. We need the ability to follow it. A dose of independence and great deal of bravery. Be sentivive, be genuine and be brave. Be smart too. Don't be naive. Don't pretend you are okay to yourself, to others you can. To yourself, you cannot. At least, not for the most of the time. You need escapism from cruelty or difficulty? Sure, laugh it off, smile, pretend you are fine for a while, but don't let yourself stay in it, treat it as a break. We all need a break from harsh reality and that is fine. As far as I recall, a psychoanalyst, Winnicot, was advocating for this too. I quite like him. Who is able to stay in this reality all the time, you have to give yourself a break and lie to yourself a bit, saying how all right everything is. But don't get lost in it.

Having written this, I must say, it did help me to clear my head, it does feel lighter definitelly. To my non existent audience reading this post - I am thinking now that probably what I stated at the begining of this post about not being surprised and disappointment was a bit of a exageration. It was not overall that terribly bad. Writing down questions and reflections helps to appreciate more the creation.

Is Kenjaku the type of parent that makes Yuuji sit down and watch a tape of his own birth?Cause. They seem like that type of parent. Add some commentary and everything. Yuuji notices Uraume standing in the corner like Rumpelstiltskin but at this point he doesn’t even want to ask. I guess that counts as a movie night.

I didn't even know that type of parent existed until just now....why would you do that? I get filming after the baby is out, but during? All you would see is someone/yourself writhing around in pain, all sweaty, covered in all kinds of other fluids as something is making their way out of that body. It's just messy and for the person giving birth painful. Why hold onto that? Who wants to revisit that? Not to mention that that tape could get over 2h long.... Sorry, I'm just struggling to comprehend people's minds right now.

That being said, since Yuuji's birth was likely very unusual, it would be helpful for Kenjaku to document it in case they want to double check the process or redo the experiment at a later time. They'd use a camera similar to what they instructed Mechamaru to record with (like a handheld cursed corpse) to make sure it records cursed energy as well. Jin is also weird enough about pregnancy that he'd agree to film them, even under those strange circumstances. They then cut together the highlights to show Yuuji how he came to be when they get the chance to talk to him about their family situation.

New Fan Editing Project: Godzilla (1998)

Yep, I’m at it again with fan editing!

I recently completed my third fan edit, an edit of The Relic (1997) (if you’re interested in checking it out, just send me a message), and started thinking about what I could work on next.  I considered returning back to my Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla fan edit, but that got me thinking instead about Godzilla (1998).

G’98 is a movie with issues.

I’ve had a bit of a roller-coaster relationship with G’98.  I saw the movie in theaters when I was 12, but unlike most I’d actually already seen EVERY Godzilla movie (including the then-recent and not yet released in America Heisei movies, which my parents had bought me imported fansubbed bootlegs of) and walked of the theater having thoroughly enjoyed it.  It wasn’t until I read the next issue of G-Fan and saw that every other Godzilla fan in the world had hated it that I suddenly switched gears (so fast my parents were confused) and decided I hated it too.  It wasn’t until five years later that I revisited it and my opinion softened, deciding I didn’t hate it after all but just didn’t care much for it.  The last time I revisited it - now almost a decade ago - I was struck by how boring a movie it is, and that that’s its greatest sin.  Not Godzilla’s radical redesign, not Godzilla’s personality - frankly, nothing to do with Godzilla himself - but the story of the movie is just DULL.

Why?

Lots has been written about how much people dislike Maria Pitillo’s character and performance, but that’s just a symptom of the real issue:  the movie WANTS to be a Romantic Comedy.  From the start of the film until about 30 to 35 minutes in, the movie is deceptively...fine.  More than one person has told me (and it’s happened to me too) that upon revisiting the first Act is actually quite decent and lulls you into thinking maybe you’ve been too hard on it.  Then the second Act starts and the film decides it’s going to be a bad Romantic Comedy from now on, often forgetting about Godzilla for LOOONG stretches.  Which maybe could be tolerable if Matthew Broderick and Maria Pitillo had chemistry, but they really don’t.  What’s worse, neither character really DOES anything - all of the actual decisions in the movie and actual agency rest with the two main supporting characters played by Hank Azaria and Jean Reno.  I’ve felt ever since that the movie would’ve been significantly stronger and more watchable had those two been the leads, and the Broderick/Pitillo story reduced to a subplot.

Part of why I hadn’t attempted this before was because, well, I didn’t think there was enough to work with.  The movie’s only an 1h 50m, I kept telling myself, and if I made all the alterations I had in mind I’d be left with, what?  An hour?  There just wasn’t enough there.  Except, I’M A MORON.  It was while thinking about it again earlier this week that I actually stopped to check what the runtime is, and my jaw dropped:

Godzilla (1998) is 2h 18m long!!

That’s WAAAY too long, and means there’s over 40 MINUTES I could theoretically cut and still be an acceptable feature length (around 1h 30m)!

So that’s what I’m doing.

BROAD STROKES PLAN

Cut back on scenes with Matthew Broderick, Maria Pitillo, and their storylines to reduce them to supporting characters.

Rearrange scenes to improve pacing and create a greater focus on Godzilla, Hank Azaria, and Jean Reno.

If possible, radically reorganize the second half of the film to eliminate the Baby Godzillas storyline which always felt tacked on, derivative of Jurassic Park, and there to pad out the film.

Alter the ending to make Godzilla’s death more ambiguous, or maybe even change it so he lives (had the idea of ending with his eyes reopening, then cutting to black with the sounds of his roar and people screaming).

Examine the feasibility of changing the music choices, as I felt the musical tone is too...whimsical?

I was planning to work on this today but, alas, some stuff has gotten in the way.  Still, I’m hoping to give this a try this coming week and see what I can do with the movie.

And the next ones are hard, since that's like. The only ship I actively read fics of now. In previous fandoms, I always had like a handful of fics to fall back on, but now...

... Okay, hear me out. This is where the ship dilemma I mentioned comes in. Wait actually no, i haven't mentioned it yet. I mean i have, but in the next question. I'm jumping from point to point. But anyway, the ship dilemma is the following: what even COUNTS as a ship? Because I really like this non-GO "pairing" but not romantically. In a more "they're meant for each other whether they like it or not — and they don't. They're doomed to be put in awful funny situations and make a fucking mess and blame the other and they're great friends! but also enemies" way. Honestly, the thing stopping me is that they're mcytbers lmao. Except they're not, since I couldn't care less about them irl. It's just the characters they play that make me go *chef's kiss*. If you guessed Grian and Scar. Yeah. Not Hermitcraft though. The Life series. They make each other miserable whenever they're paired up and it's hilarious. Wouldn't read a fic though.

Oh this is awfully hard. You have no idea how hard this is. I don't know how to even define ship here (as you can see, this is the ship dilemma actually mentioned before). Cause I liked Pucca and Garu, but I also acknowledged Woody and Buzz, I also liked Anastasia and the baker, and I may have imagined something about Coop and Mr Kat (not even enemies to lovers, just a specific situation i can still remember to this day — and I'll just note down that Mr Kat is an alien who looks like a cat, Not a cat),  etc etc. It's really fucking hard to say only one. But if i focus on me Aware of shipping... Fuck, probably some creepypasta ship. Jane and Jeff? I didn't know she was a lesbian back then. But i may still be off by a long shot.

20,000 Species of Bees. It was very good. And ouch. It's about an 8 y.o. trans girl figuring herself out and oof. If you don't like open endings, don't watch it. It was 2h long and honestly? I realized it was long while watching it, but not that long!

I had actually meant to re-read Good Omens today, but didn't take my book with me. But i didn't, so nothing? But the last thing I read was Boethius' On the Consolation of Philosophy and I have to re-read some passages for a project so... I'll count that.

Currently consuming:

Air, barely (mask in a bus — not much air to consume (I SWEAR THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I'VE WRITTEN THAT SENTENCE WHAT THE HELL. WHY DO I FEEL LIKE I'VE WRITTEN THAT PHRASE BEFORE)). Unless this is a general "consuming", in which case, I'm listening to the song i mentioned before (that was my last listened song before i saw this, and it made me want to listen to it again. But now the song just switched (and now nothing again, woops)).

Currently craving:

Honestly, literally any food whatsoever. I'm hungry and i won't be home for at least another hour and a half. (An hour, now. Like I said, jumping around from point to point)

my 80s/90s fantasy binge is ongoing. one thing I’m noticing is that hardly any of these movies break 100 minutes. I’ve seen 10, and only 2 have been 2+ hours - bakshi’s lotr, and ladyhawke. the longer of the two being lotr, which, you know, it’s a long story to begin with and nobody ever accused bakshi of having an overly tight narrative focus; and it’s 2h 15. nowadays it’s basically unthinkable for a feature film with a theatrical release to be shorter than that. and I think we should go back, frankly. name me one reason why avengers endgame would ever possibly need to be 3 hours long.

Dust Watched: Macross Δ Movie 2: Zettai Live!!!

My experience with this movie could be summed up in a single sentence which is “Slow the fuck down!!”

Obligatory note that I’m not really into Macross or Mecha stuff. I do enjoy it but its plot leaves my brain the second the anime ends, which is kind of a problem when you’re trying to write about a franchise branching across 50 years.

Anyway, this movie is the sequel and ending to the previous one which shows us an Alternate Universe story of the events of the original Macross Delta series.

The biggest problem this movie suffers from is that it tries to tackle about 100 things at once. Character drama, character relationships, character progression, a movie only plot, expanding on the original plot, wrapping up elements of the original plot, wrapping up this movie only plot, referencing the previous franchises, bringing back old characters, introducing new characters, giving character focus to THESE characters, a huge dose of exposition dumping then add a sprinkle space battles in the mix and the flow and tonal shifts of the show felt like *I* was the one sitting in one of the mechas and going at lightspeed.

I feel like I’d need a thesis to talk about the story and not get something wrong so I won’t. All in all, it was your usual affair of Big Bad Mecha needs to be taken down, and then it is. Yay!

Offta, they really tried to force a lot of things on the characters. The tonal shifts are the worst here; we can go from one scene where Makina is pushing her boobs up against Mirage and they’re goofing around only to then transition into a scene of someone dying a tragic death. A good example of just how much is going on is Bogue; he goes from hating humans still, to losing one of his comrades in battle, to joining up with the humans and taking orders from their commander. All the while, we basically see no reaction from him to all this besides one or two side comments. They try to give Mirage a plotline as well, and it... I mean it’s alright? RIP to all Hayate/Mirage shippers out there tho. And speaking of...

Freyja, oh my dear girl. Freyja (and Hayate’s) plotline gets the most focus even though with everything going on their scenes have a lot less impact than they should have had.

<spoiler> I almost was about to say that the last scene was truly heartbreaking but they pussied out. BRO!!! Show me her passing on properly! Her vanishing into the wind in her lover’s arms would’ve been so impactful but before that can happen they just show the credits? Why?? This an AU, you don’t have to do the “did-she-or-didn’t-she” game here, she is alive in the original series, so just commit to it! <spoiler>

Oh right, almost forgot about them. Yami_Q_Ray, who are even on the cover, went really underutilized which is a big shame. Would’ve loved to see more of them.

The art was also veeery wonky most of the time. The background art were gorgeous, the mechs looked good enough I guess (I don’t know anything about mechs) but the characters... in some scenes they looked like paper cutouts pasted on a background. They lacked detail and depth. The animation was the same. Weird and janky. The CGI looked the best (the inro sequence of Walküre was a treat). The battles were really hard to follow too.

Fantastic as usual. Macross has always been about the music and I’m glad that at least that didn’t disappoint.

In conclusion, I feel like they spent 90% of the budget on the 10 minute long Macross F short in the beginning of the movie. Which I didn’t talk about cause I genuinly have no clue what was going on but damn did it look great.

The third film that I used in this third blog is the movie called carandiru. The movie is directed by Hector Bebenco and is known for his filming techniques in his movies that include a handheld camera for the movies which is a technique that is often used to create intimacy especially in scenes where the characters are interacting closely or in confined spaces. Another technique used by Babenco is long ties. these long an uninterrupted shots are tipically used to build tension and to allow the audience and the people viewing the movie to be able to feel the energy from the actors and the characters in the movie. This technique was especially useful in carandiru where there were a lot of prison scenes. The prison scenes showed the daily lives of all the inmates. This also adds on to the fact that not only did Hector write the movie but he also wrote it as well. The movie is also based on a true dotard of a prison break that happened in 1992. The book is written by Dr. Drauzio Varella. Dr. Varella was a physician who worked at Carandiru who was always providing medical care to the inmates. The prison was basically ran by two different types of groups and on October 2nd, 1992 a riot broke out and the guards who were fighting for there lives ended up being the ones who killed over 111 inmates that day, making it one of the deadliest massacres up to date. Carneiro was at one time the largest prison in all of South America which at the time could only hold around 4,000 prisoners and eventually led to the prison having over 8,000 prisoners. This is part of the reason why the jail guards did what they did. The guards that were on duty at the time felt overwhelmed and ended up doing what they did.

So Quadrophenia[1].

Jimmy (Phil Daniels) only likes a few things. He likes being a “Mod”. His friends are all Mods too, riding around the city in their Italian scooters, wearing M51 Parkas, ties and trilbies, because that’s how you group the non-conformists together, mate.

All Jimmy ever wants to do is hang out with his pals. Together they live in the space between friend-group and thug-group, in perpetual violent conflict with the “Rockers” who wear leather jackets and ride motorcycles. They’re so different, how could they possibly get along? Even if Jimmy’s old friend, Kevin (Ray Winstone) has become one. Sure they’ll talk to each other when no one else is around, and Kev even helps Jimmy out in a jam – but no being public about it because being “hard” demands a lot of play acting.

More than anything, Jimmy wants to be with Steph (Leslie Ash) – the prettiest, most desirable of the Mod girls. He hates his working-class family and he hates his job[2]. He wants to throw it all away to be free on the open road with Steph on the back of his Lambretta, stopping only for sex and drugs.

One weekend, all the area Mods head to Brighton to party. The coolest Mod, Ace Face is there (Sting) and if Jimmy can only impress him and win Steph, everything would change.

The film is gritty with lots of natural lighting and location shooting. You get a feel for why everything seems so futile in this place. Powered by music from The Who, Quadrophenia is coming of age story of a lout.

In truth, I wanted to see what was happening with Kevin for most of the film because Jimmy has so few redeeming qualities. His immaturity is confronted, sure – but what will he do after he’s disillusioned with Steph, Ace Face, and even his scooter?  Can he see the role that he played in getting himself to this place?

My guess is no. I feel like Jimmy will just become more loutish.

it's overhyped for sure lmao like i couldn't tell u a single thing that happens IN the first movie and i watched it at least 3 times bc it's always on tv i feel like but the graphics, vfx, cgi shit yada yada def make it a blockbuster. every movie these days seems to be 3h long tho and idk why??? i don't mind a long movie if it makes SENSE for it to be a long movie but some are just long out of principle (absolutely loved batman but they def could've cut it down to 2 1/2h with no problem)
