I think it’s funny that fandom is so black and white about Charles Xavier. Movie Charles is good and innocent but comic Charles is more evil than any other character or whatever. Like okay I have not read all of the comics but any time I see someone mention how horrible he is, it’s all the same things and without any context. But on the rare occasion that there is context, you learn that most of the time people have been making it out to be way worse. Or that there are multiple characters who have done the same things or worse things. Would he not be boring if none of those things happened? Obviously people are allowed to hate him but I like that he’s complex. I don’t like all of the decisions writers made but it is better than him being boring and one dimensional.
(Also they don’t really get into it in the movies, but those versions of Charles have also done bad things. Usually it’s kinda glossed over or dropped as soon as it’s mentioned but it’s there)

Käärijä is ready to let cha cha cha go, I hope he can soon. Let Häärijä wear the yellow or green bolero, so that Käärijä can put more focus on his usual music, while also having the opportunity, time, and creative freedom to experiment to his heart's content. That way he can compartmentalize cha away into its folder, still perform it because it is the song that rocketed him into fame, and not grow to hate it.

So now that I've figured out why Hira might go for Astarion ... I am now struggling to figure out why Astarion would go for them in the long run. Like, because he's barely his own person at this point, what are his preferences? Ya know? Beyond how they treat him, beyond the obvious, what about them is it that he likes? Ya know? "You were kind and patient and trusted me" is all well and good but that's still 1) related to him and 2) doesn't quite tap into the sense that he also wants them for himself for other reasons aside from wanting more of what they're doing for him. i have noticed that while media made for straight women does occasionally romanticise men, it very rarely eroticises them.
like. i’m looking (respectfully) at gay magazine covers with sexy dudes on the cover and they are so erotic, so sexualised, in a way that i just do not see marketed to straight women.
