no but seriously I miss their pre-jojo shows dynamic 😭 this feels kind of artificial at times HDHDZ
HELP don't send me these asks because I open my mouth to say stuff that have people come at me for being an anti asldkjdfldjhg BUT OF COURSE it feels staged they have been blissfully cosplaying whatever character they play on screen and ever since "did not have to audition for" Akk and Ayan Firstkhao's characters have kept diverging further and further from their base personalities and First seems to be at the BRINK of how much play acting he can keep engaged in 24/7 as this occasionally macho butch lesbian. The thing is if you compare their approach to fanservice pre-FK then they had completely different philosophies. First - despite his threeway kiss - was never a big fanservice guy??? Even though Toew Laew brought out the very worst of his anxious people pleasing personality his interactions with the guys were quite regular and bro-ey. He was pretty bro-ey with Gawin too. You wouldn't think it but First does cool pretty effortlessly with a partner when he's not trying to project anything at all. In fact, he spent most of The Shipper "fan-servicing" with Khaotung bless his soul.
But Khaotung is remorseless about fanservice, Khaotung when he was promoting Tonhon Chonlatee was an entirely different human being. Like when you witnessed it happen (like I did) the switch to Ayan was IMMEDIATE like it happened overnight while we weren't looking. And Khaotung just has that personality so gentle and easy going that everything feels very natural. I called him remorseless earlier and I think that was underselling him. It's almost like he does away with any concept of remorse, he's doing his job after all and he's on good terms with everybody. But he did drop Podd FAST. His mom came on that OffGun cooking show and called Podd her son in law and yet I'm not even sure that they were even very good friends hahahahahahahaha But even when Firstkhao are so obviously staged they are each other's exception and that is why I am hooked onto this pair. They are so so so unnormal about each other. Khaotung genuinely lives in First's mind rent-free and he is trying so hard to do this Khaotung's way (because Khaotung's way is the most professional and beneficial to the show and company).
But Khaotung doesn't actually want to (???) This time it feels like Khaotung who is resisting playing into it. And just pointing to my delulu hat for emphasis but I think Khaotung breaks more often now than First. Khaotung revealed that they know we like the size difference. they have been suspiciously playing into it lately even though Khaotung hated to before. It was Khaotung that said "First is resisting his own cuteness" pointing out quite clearly that their dynamic is pre-planned. These aren't huge faux pas since I think it's understood widely that discussion and staging will be involved in branded pairs but I find these delusion-dispelling comments slightly un-Khaotung like. Anyway sorry for rambling for 10 thousand years but GOD I have so many feelings about how fascinating First and Khaotung are just as creatures doing the most confusing mating dance on the planet.

are you reading someone’s translation for the eclipse? because i know the scene where akk comes untouched but remember it differently (mainly that akk didn’t pin aye to a wall in the version i read). it’s the i hate you scene ?
I'm actually translating it myself, so I'm sure it's littered with inaccuracies lol. In cases where I can't figure out the original Thai, I write by vibes alone 😂 But yes, it's the "I hate you" scene! And "pinned" might be a strong word, but he definitely pushes Aye back against the wall. Actually, you know what? I'm just going to go ahead and give you my version of that scene because it's almost the new year and we deserve nice things! [Insert disclaimer here about how this is a translation of Prapt's "The Eclipse" novel and not my original work. If you feel so inclined, you can purchase the Thai version of the novel here.]
Ayan’s smile widened as he reached up to ruffle Akk’s hair.
“Hey!” Akk cried, dodging out of the way. He tried to act annoyed, but the truth was, he simply feared he might enjoy his touch too much.
Ayan laughed and it wasn’t the scornful, condescending laugh Akk was used to. It was the kind of laugh that made flowers bloom in Spring.
Akk cursed his own thoughts. Why did Ayan have to be so goddamn cute?
Since Ayan had been forbidden from touching Akk’s hair, he brought his hand down to rest on Akk’s shoulder instead, but his fingers refused to be still. They were tracing imaginary patterns on his skin.
Staring at his hand, Akk felt his face flush, and, within seconds, his whole body was hot. Arousal coursed through him. He quickly grabbed Ayan’s hand and removed it from his body.
Aye seemed unbothered. He put his hand back, allowing his fingers to continue their dance on Akk’s skin while staring him straight in the eyes.
It felt like a fire had been lit inside of Akk. Desire washed over him so strong he wasn’t sure he would be able to control himself. He pressed his hand against Ayan’s chest and pushed him backwards until he hit the wall behind him, then he folded his larger body around the boy's smaller one, so close they were pressed skin to skin. Ayan’s fingertips paused their assault on Akk’s shoulder. It was almost as if he knew that even the sight of that would have been enough to kill him.
Akk’s breathing was labored, his body was shaking, and every attempt he made to control his heartbeat failed. He wanted to cry out in frustration.
“S-stop,” he said desperately.
“Stop what?” Ayan whispered, raising a single curious eyebrow.
“Stop this!” Akk choked out. He had meant for his voice to sound authoritative and intimidating, but instead he simply sounded like he was about to cry. “Stop teasing me!”
“Does that mean it’s working?”
“N-No!”
“Are you sure?” Without saying a word, he pulled out his free hand and placed it on Akk’s chest. Despite the thick suit jacket and polo he was wearing, Akk knew that Ayan would still be able to feel his racing heart. “Seems like it worked to me.”
His voice was deep with emotion, his eyes were shining, and the hand on Akk’s chest slowly began to move downward. Akk’s whole body erupted in goosebumps.
“Don’t,” he pleaded, pushing Ayan away, but Ayan returned and this time, Akk didn’t have the strength to fight him off. His legs were weak and he found himself drawn towards Ayan as if he were a magnet.
One of Ayan’s hands brushed along the nape of Akk’s neck before twining into his hair and although he didn’t apply any pressure, Akk found himself leaning forward. Ayan’s other hand was running slowly down Akk’s back, giving him plenty of time to stop him, but Akk didn’t. He no longer wanted to. Soon, Ayan’s entire palm was cupping his ass and Akk was breathing so hard it hurt.
Aye used his newfound grip on Akk to pull him closer and Akk felt like he was about to die—like he was about to melt into the ground and simply cease to exist. Seeking some sort of anchor, Akk reached out his own hand and used it to stabilize himself against the wall. He brought his chin down to rest on Ayan’s thin shoulder and pressed his hardness into Ayan’s body.
Almost immediately, a violent spasm overtook him and he felt a warm, wet heat start to pool in his underwear. He scrambled away from the wall—away from Ayan—and looked down to investigate, still shaking all over, but luckily, there was no evidence of what had happened on the outside of his pants.
Ayan took advantage of the moment to lift his head and press his lips softly against Akk’s, dragging his tongue roughly along the side of his mouth. Akk was so shocked that he immediately pulled away. It was only then that he realized his face was covered in both sweat and tears that Ayan had been trying to lick away.
Akk shook his head and looked around frantically, afraid that someone might have seen them, but luckily, the recess they were in was secluded enough that hardly anyone ever walked by. They were still alone.
At that moment, Akk felt so disgusted with himself that he couldn’t even see. He turned away, but before he could take a single step, Aye said, “I’m so attracted to you, Akk. You have no idea.”
Akk was stunned and although he knew he should just keep walking, he couldn’t help but turn around and look Ayan in the eyes. In contrast to his usual overly cheerful demeanor, he wasn’t smiling. In fact, his face was so serious that he looked tense. His pale skin was flushed red and the rhythm of his breathing was heavy. Sweat covered his body, causing his skin to look oily.
“I hate you,” Akk said through gritted teeth. He didn’t have the strength to say anything more.

I watched The Eclipse (the series) and OMG I'm in Love?!?! ⚠️ SPOILERS ⚠️
Ya'll I watched The Eclipse the series over the last few days and... omg. I have so much to say so buckle up. Obv there will be spoilers! I also wanna mention that this will be full of very biased takes because I absolutely fell in love with Akk soooo imma be defending him.
Now that that's out of the way, first, can we talk about the couples? FirstKhao's chemistry?! I know I'm late to the game but man they blew me out of the water!!! They were so cute and wholesome (dw I've seen the OF edits, ik they're not always this way lol) and Akk and Ayan just pulled me all the way in! They both deserve the world and I will not hear otherwise! Now, the side couple, KanThua, were not my cuppa tea. I love Neo, I haven't seen anything with Louis in it but he's a good actor from what I've seen, and they look cute together, but they just didn't snatch me up unfortunately.
That leads me into the second topic, the plot (this is where it gets long, strap in). I believe this is the main reason the side didn't snatch me. They were definitely given the short end of the stick (this is before I found out that I hate Thua with a passion but we'll get to that). I would've loved so much more buildup than what we got from them. Thua's storyline just felt kinda off to me. We saw his stepdad say one or two messed up things to him, which ya eff him for that, but every other time he was pretty nice??? Maybe I'm just missing something but idk. Also the whole "Bruce Wayne" thing was eh to me. Kinda cute, kinda weird.
Now, Akk and Ayan's storyline???? Sign me uppppp! I love everything about it! I love that they are so there for eachother and literally picked eachother up off the ground mentally so many times. They need eachother and you can absolutely feel it. Then, also their individual storylines are just amazing. My poor babies. Ayan and dealing with his uncle's death and witnessing the terrible things at the school and getting bullied by the teachers and his declining mental health. Akk dealing with the manipulation of the teachers and his need to prove himself and his need to put everyone above himself and his declining mental health and ugh... sorry I could talk about Akk for ages, ya'll know how I get with my babies lol. All this to say I definitely came not knowing what to expect but stayed for Akk & Ayan.
The general storyline is... a doozy. The whole curse thing was so interesting and then it just... wasn't. But at the same time it was??? Idk it's so hard to place how I feel about this part of the plot. I don't understand the whole thing with Teacher Chadock's confession and that somehow affecting what was going on? Like sir, you still manipulated kids (specifically Akk) into doing awful things, I don't think all that happened is an excuse for that at all? Yes, it sucks and never shoulda happened but like... why act like that towards the students this whole time? And he didn't seem to show much, if any, remorse for his behavior either so... idk.
Now... let's get into ep 11 and Thua's whole thing. I will never ever ever forgive the character of Thua for what he did. I don't care how right he was (which he mostly wasn't), I don't care if he was speaking some facts, you don't ever out somebody like that!!! Esp as a character who we know has faced such bad discrimination and bullying for the same effing thing!!! It makes absolutely no sense and there are no excuses! The fear in Akk's eyes... ugh I wanted to punch Thua so bad ngl. The way that he also isn't even right about Akk 'creating the curse' and doesn't mention that he himself continued it after Akk saw the error of his ways and stopped. He made himself out to be squeaky clean when he honestly had the most blood on his hands after this whole thing. When he was cheering the episode before about finding the "one responsible for the curse" IT WAS HIM! AKK HAD STOPPED AT THAT POINT SO IT WAS ALL HIM! He also wasn't telling the truth when he said Aye was covering for Akk using their love as a cover! At first Ayan wanted Akk to tell everyone what he did... but then he saw what a fragile state of mind Akk was in and decided to try a different approach. Thua should've gone to Akk and Aye himself, he had no right to say anything he said without knowing the full story!!! THEN HE JUST IS FORGIVEN!!! NOO! I know that it's because of the cuts they had to make that we don't get to see the characters forgive him and whatnot but I don't care. He. did. not. deserve. to. be. forgiven. No one is changing my mind!
I could go on forever tbh so let's move onto the third topic... the pacing. I know this is the main complaint for this show and rightfully so. I really really wish they would've gotten the 14 episodes they were hoping for instead of the 12 they got. The pacing is just out of wack. The first half-ish is beautiful.... then it drags (slightly).... then it's rushed. Just disappointing, but not anyone's fault. The crew apparently thought they were working with 14 eps, we can't blame them, and we definitely cannot blame the actors.
Fourth, and final, topic: the acting!!! Uuuugh, ya'll! I'd seen Khao in a couple things and First in Not Me, but this is by far the best I've seen of them! They showed all the emotions and omg these dudes are professional criers, how are they both so good at it?! Btw, I see people talk about Khao's acting more than First's I feel like (could just be what I see idk), but First snatched me up! He killed every single scene, give me chills multiple times (Khao too obv) and showed Akk's character development flawlessly! All the supporting actors were obviously amazing too (special shoutout to my boy AJ cuz I love the twins)!
Anyways, if you sat through this half-rant, half-review, congrats! I honestly love this show and it's for sure going to be one I rewatch all the time and try to dig deeper into Akk's mind every time lol. Also if you read all of this and I didn't touch on something you wanted or you're just curious about my thoughts on anything (seriously anything at all), feel free to comment or repost or send me an ask, I don't mind!

Oh my God, I can’t believe we are fucking back after 13 very long years. But WHY DID THEY DROP ALL THE EPS AT ONCE. This was supposed to sustain me for 3 months 😭 the hour long batch releases just don’t hit the same as looking forward to watching something every week.
You’re as beautiful as the day you left.. felt like we picked up right where we left off in 2011. The art style, music, OP, etc all have that nostalgic shoujo vibe. Sawako’s silly chibi faces, Chizuru, Ayane and Sawako’s dynamic.. I missed it all so much!! They literally don’t make anime like this anymore so watching this feels like getting in a Time Machine and going back to a different era
So much happened in this first episode, but at its core it really was just Sawako and Kazehaya figuring this whole relationship thing out. The picnic date was soooo cute, whole time I had the biggest smile on my face like an idiot lol. Kazehaya trying to explain to Sawako that he feels the same way and gets just as flustered as she does was adorable. Truly the shoujo boy of all time
Meeting families already? Oh they’re OFFICIAL OFFICIAL. I loved seeing how warm and receptive both families were to Sawako and Kazehaya respectively. Sawako’s dad being so protective and caring of her is so nice. Meanwhile her mom is Kazehaya’s biggest fan and trying to get all the tea from him lol. Glad she told him how much he’s changed Sawako’s life for the better and how much more she smiles now. It’s really powerful hearing that from your girlfriend’s mother, after all everyone wants to be accepted by their gf’s family and he’s fitting in great so far
On the flip side, Kazehaya mom is just as accepting of Sawako and encouraging. The dad comes off as tough, but you can tell he’s a softie on the inside and really loves his family and is happy Kazehaya has someone like Sawako. The little brother Tota on the other hand oh my goodness that kid is a gremlin. Taking the ice cream from Sawako, calling her by first name and then saying she look like a ghost 💀 he’s gonna be fun
Ryu and Chizuru focused next episode I’m hoping? I missed them so much and that was such a cute end scene. Can’t wait to watch that a little later, these hour long eps are no pushover and I want to savour having this back as long as possible 😭

I watched the Eclipse. it was great
I have fewer notes than for PitBabe, but I still have some.
The queer coffee shop was wonderful! And we did not get enough of it!! Also I want one exactly like that in my city.
Akk and Ayan made me understand for the first time the whole "you're pretty when you cry" thing. Boy is Ayan pretty when he cries. What the hell mate. Seriously. I always thought it was weird and now I understand it and it's still weird!
When they come out to Akk's parents. That was. Aaaahhhh! This was the scene that had me squeaking out loud and getting all flustered! The sheer relief in both of their postures, I swear! And the teasing afterward! Instantly welcoming him into the family! AAArgizrkjv!!! This is why I watch queer shows okay. the cute couples and all are great, but this, this is why I watch queer shows (also the coffee shop).
I was expecting them to disband the entire Prefect club to be honest. A bit disappointed they didn't. But at least Akk stepped down. Which was absolutely necessary for his mental health! I'm of the opinion every one should have changed school but hey, that would have contradicted the point of the show, so I understand.
For the first half of the show Ayan felt like a communist character in an American show. I understand it's because we're from Akk's perspective but it was still very funny. That been said, he's pretty good at it. Like yes he reads George Orwell and can quote Montesquieu, but he's also part of the local queer community (the coffee shop), and he helps people around him as soon as he can. Like one of the first things he does (aside from provoking Akk) is helping Thua, the only out gay guy in their class, communicate with this mother, and showing him a place where he can get support and understanding. Like yes he's here to shed light to what happened to his uncle, but he's not neglecting the community around him in the meantime and that's great! Ayan is my baby and i am very proud of him! Though I think he could have profited from asking for help from said community. But overall, his uncle raised him well.
I wished we had gotten a discussion between Akk and Kan about coming to term with your sexuality and admitting to it in public. Those two were going through similar journeys at the same time, there is wasted potential here.
I am not entirely satisfied with the end of the show plot-wise? Like on the emotional side it works (mostly, we're missing the reconciliation between Kan and Thua), but plot-wise I'm only half convinced. Not sure how to explain it though?
I did stopped throughout the show on multiple occasions for second-hand embarrassment reasons. It is probably at least half because they're teenagers, and it does not say anything about the quality of the show (it mostly says things about my emotional fatigue), but it was a bit annoying.
Overall a pretty good show about how evil institutions can push great people to do terrible things. And I fell in love with the main couple (might watch other shows with those two, I understand they're quite popular)!

Top 10 Best BL Boys of 2022
10.) Mangkorn [Big Dragon]
- I’ll tell you right now, when I started Big Dragon, I did not expect to like either of the characters. Yet SOMEHOW this tall lanky fuck ended up winning me over. He’s complicated, can’t communicate for shit and has so much love to give.
9.) Tankhun [Kinnporsche]
- Where do I even start... this man is funny, fashionable and loves his family/friends deeply. He gets written off as crazy and is EXTREMELY misunderstood but has the BIGGEST brain in that family. I mean he truly holds the only braincell in the compound. This man deserves so much more than he is given, and I love him to pieces.
8.) Nuea [Secret Crush on You]
-The definition of his crazy matches my crazy. The way he accepted and loved Toh for everything he was. NEVER asked him to change and met him wherever he was at, incredible. He always stood firm on his feelings, even when he wasn’t sure Toh felt the same.
7.) Wasuwat [The Eclipse]
- He was cute, artsy, funny and smart as hell. I respected the hell out of him for not accepting whatever the fuck KhanThua tried to do at the beach and I respect his quick thinking even more. He is loyal and will do anything for his friends. Even put more work on his plate.
6.) Khondiao [Cutie Pie]
- Literal ray of sunshine. Though most of the story he seems weak, he is strong as hell. He handles himself, Hia Yi, Kuea and so much more with grace. He is an amazing friend and an even better partner. His patience with Yi deserves to be rewarded. I mean that.
5.) Jao [Secret Crush on You]
- Literal ray of sunshine number 2. Watching his story develop and him gain confidence in himself was one of the highlights of the show. As a friend, he was ten toes down for his Alphabet Mafia and I love him for that.
4.) Payu [Love in the Air]
- Y’all may disagree with me but this man is one of the best boyfriends in all of BL. He took Rain under his wing, and while the beginning of their relationship wasn’t the best, he really did everything to make sure Rain was being careful and responsible. He also lays the pipe down, what more can someone want?
3.) Ayan [The Eclipse]
- He is the definition of “I’m hurt but I’ll heal you.” The way he cared for Akk even though he could’ve easily just let him rot, is why he is top 3. He knew what Akk was doing from the beginning but he noticed that he was suffering, just like he was. The way he was with his supposed ‘enemy’ just shows that his character was pure of heart and just trying to find closure. Green flags everywhere.
2.) Akk [Enchanté]
- I’M ONLY GOING TO SAY THIS ONCE, AKK DESERVED BETTER. This man shoved all of his feelings to the side to help the man he has loved since they were children. Even though it hurt. Even though it was KILLING him. He was supportive and loyal. The way he forgave Theo and just continued to give him the same energy... he is incredible. And the way he was waiting to fulfill promises they made to each other as kids?! Where do I find an Akk?!
1.) Pluem [Ghost Host, Ghost House]
- I will take ZERO criticisms or arguments. Pluem Pitiphong is THE best BL boy of 2022. He was loving, understanding, gentle, caring and just everything he could be for Kevin. He had his low moment but he’s human and it was honestly, mild. He loved Kevin with every fiber of his being from the moment he met him. HE WAITED FOR THREE YEARS FOR HIM. Patiently. Quietly. He faced his fears and worked on himself to be the best he could be for the man he loved and I respect the absolute hell out of him for that. He is the GREENEST of green flags and this is why he is number 1 on my list.
HONORABLE NON-BL MENTION:
Yeon Sieun [Weak Hero Class 1]
- I have to mention him because while it WASN’T a BL, there were gay undertones. Sieun was loyal and devoted as a friend. He was willing to put his safety and his life on the line for Sooho and even risked jail time for him. He went from ‘couldn’t be bothered’ to ‘if you touch a hair on his head, i will kill you’ and I LOVE THAT. He is quiet, intelligent and full of so much love for the people he cares about. He was deeply misunderstood and even then, he wasn’t full of hate or resentment. He just took care of business.
🚨Disclaimer:
This is simply my personal opinion from the shows I watched this year. This isn’t to say there aren’t more that could fit this category, these are just MY choices for my list. Thank you ♡

The Eclipse Episode 11
I'm just straight out reacting to this one folks (it ended up super long like this whoops)
@grapejuicegay @wen-kexing-apologist @plantsarepeopletoo @thegalwhorants
oh god is this the cliff?
TEACHER CHADOK WHY IS HE HERE, were they actually together??
Wait did HE WITNESS IT?
Ayan is unpacking the brainwashing
"If I just disappear from this world..." DOESN'T AYAN HAVE ENOUGH TRAUMA
and CRYING
I gotta be honest Ayans silent tears get me even more than Akks vocal quivers
Oh if only it were that easy
Oh they in bed again: Cuteness ensues
I love it when characters have nicknames for each other, shortstop and Big foot are my beloveds
Oh if only
He's going in wearing Ayan's blazer this feels important.
So he's definitely getting the award? oof it feels worthless, boy's faith has been shattered
call back to the pin "It's my school pin that I pinned for you" GOD HES GOING IN WEARING AYAN AS ARMOUR
Maybe Thua wanted the award??? (I'm still trying to figure him out sorry Thua you don't make sense)
And we see the person the principal is answering too
Is no-one going to speak???
Oh Thua saw that
They're speaking, oh he got the award
SO CLOSE TO GETTING OUT OF THERE WIthOUT THE PROteStORS
AH NO THEY DON'T, HAVE YOU NOT BEEN PAYING ATTENTION?
oh no Ayan looks riled
FUCK
oh and Thua TOO
NO!! CHAOS
IT SHOULDN'T BE AKKS PROBLEM KHAN
Okay that teacher seems legit scared
OH GOD THUA
OKAY I DIDN"T SAY THIS AT THE TIME BUT I LITERALLY THOUGHT: THAT POOL IS CLEAR BOYS
Fuck he outed them
oh Thua is just laying it ALL OUT
AKK ADMITED IT, BOY IS BREAKING (Thua you got a point but I'm on Ayan's side here soz)
Wat is trying to HELP, Khan is helping too
and the situation is diffused
Oh Wat seems hurt
CRYYYYYYYING
Oh he finally said he's not okay (non-verbally but I'll take it)
(is he though? Who is he then?)
OH KHAN IS PISSED ABOUT THE LYING (Fair he totally believed in the curse)
"You guys must be dissapointed in me right" MY FEEEELINGS
Yeah Wat is pissed about the lying too
I'm still SCARED OF THUA
The last boss LMFAO
OH WOW AKK is letting it out!!
OH THEY WERE TOGETHER I KNEEEEEWWWW ITTTTTT
And now feckin Chadok is crying
But THEN WHY THE LYING????
Fricken pride flag phone case
THey were getting MARRIED???
Feckin Principal is a homophobe
So he WAS TRANSFERRED??
CHAIN OF YELLING FOR THE GODDAMN
OH MY GOD IT'S HAPPENING
I WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING
HOLY CRAP
HE WANTED TO KEEP THE MOMENTUM
Dudes got a point but also Akk was breaking so that was the priority here
Oh poor Khan is so confused right now
Thua just wanted all the truth out oh boy this was not the way
Oh he went in prepared for the quencies
and doesn't want Kan to protect him because then he'd be a hypocrite (also more silent crying ouch)
He had genuinely thought it all through and decided it was worth it Oh Thua.
We're back at the pool I'm going to get emotional whiplash
is Namo just chill now? OH LOL KHAN THOUGHT THE SAME boy is pure worship I'm sorry Namo
ARE THEY ACTUALLY GOING TO DO THE FILM (YO I didn't expect to predict this much stuff am I dreaming now)
Oh we're being referential now (thailands soft power)
Back to the pool and now our other boys
GO KHAN GO (but maybe check with Thua first) oH Thua's on board
Dudes they're filming LMFAO
Of course Akk said it for the first time like that lol
OKAY gotta be honest everything came out in a neat little bow almost exactly the way I thought it would. And that was amazing but also less terrifying than I thought it would be. THe show didn't lie and it was well foreshadowed, I thought something would twist on me but it didn't (Except that Chadok was in deeper than I thought with the uncle) and I love that because the answers all made sense. I don't think we're done though, quencies gotta happen right?
Episode 12 come to me

Today the fandom decided to be very sappy, with a wonderfull tweet prasing First kindness with the video from the japan fanmeet video on YT were First cried wile greeting the fans trough the glass panel, with so mamy people in the qrt talking about how kind he has always been since he was young, then Khao retweeted it and commented on it so that First could see it and since this morning it was a day filled with love and prais first for First and then for Khao and both of them, talking about how cute and sweet they both are, with Khao deciding to bring a guitar the fans gifted to him to the set of OS2, the reason Ayan has 2 different guitars, cuz he wanted to show them he was gratefull

Kimi Ni Todoke Season 3 Episode 5 Review + Final Thoughts
And this is why they shouldn’t release all the episodes at once because I’m sad that it’s already over. Why must you do this, Netflix? Now I’m here demanding a fourth season…
While the miscommunication had been dragging since Episode 3, it actually gets resolved early in Episode 5. Sawako finally becomes more assertive as she finally breaks down and asks Kazehaya if he doesn’t love her anymore. Then we finally get the long awaited kiss between them! I love how there are similarities and differences between the confession scene back in Season 2 and the kiss scene here.
Unlike the confession, no music is played when they kiss. It’s complete silence. I think it that the lack of music makes the scene so powerful in a way. In just a flash, Kazehaya washes away all of her doubts. It’s only when Kazehaya pulls Sawako into a hug and says that he loves her three times that the music finally starts playing. If you recall Sawako’s confession back in Season 2, she confessed that she loved Kazehaya multiple times. Kazehaya does a rehash of it here in a sense. Maybe I’m a bit overthinking on this part, but that’s what it felt like to me.
I do like that while Sawako has a curfew, she manages to rebel against it as she spends some time with Kazehaya at a cafe to talk things out with each other. It’s finally nice to see some communication with these two. Gosh, it took three long episodes to finally resolve this matter. It’s all Kazehaya’s fault this time around, though Sawako doesn’t seem to mind his flaws.
Afterwards, it’s pure cuteness as it’s officially Christmas in the story. Kazehaya gets an early Christmas present by listening to Kento ramble on about Ayane for hours. Dang, Kento, I didn’t know you have that much energy and throat power in the middle of the night.
Ayane and Chizuru come over and give each other a status update with their love life. Ayane is finally going out with Kento while Chizuru shows off the preserved flower she got from Ryu, but they’re not dating yet. Well, it makes sense given how awkward Chizuru is when it comes to love. I’m just amused that Chizuru is super shocked that Ayane is dating Kento because she thinks he’s a doofus.
The group go to another Christmas party at the Kuronumas. This time, the girls bring their boyfriends too. Poor Sawako’s dad. He finally learns that the hat he wears all the time and even bragged to Kazehaya about was actually made for Kazehaya and not him. Poor dad. He must have gotten so much emotional damage from that. I love how Ryu is just eating the food because he’s a whole mood right there. I’d just chilling and eating at a Christmas party too. I think having the group gather for the party is a nice way to end off the season. It’s sort of like a nice way to celebrate all the good things happening to them now.
Man, it’s so nice to finally see Sawako speaking her mind more often now. She chose to celebrate her birthday with her family because she wants to. It’s only fair that she should have some time with them as she spent Christmas Eve and Christmas with her friends. It’s also nice to see Sawako’s parents looking through her childhood photos and see how much their daughter has grown. I’m so proud of Sawako too!
Final Thoughts
I’m sure that many people anticipating the new season of Kimi ni Todoke didn’t expect that all the episodes would drop in a day. I certainly didn’t expect that too. This is my first time watching an anime that has all of the episodes dropped all at once. It has both its good and bad sides.
A good side to having hour long episodes is the lack of waiting week by week to see how Sawakaze’s conflict would be resolved. I know for a fact that had these episodes been weekly, they would have the nastiest cliffhangers. The bad side to having all of the episodes at once is the fact that that because they’re all there at once, the momentum will die out in a few weeks. It’ll be gone like the wind soon and it’ll just be a memory engraved into our minds…
Regardless, I do appreciate the effort Production IG did to keep the anime looking the same as it did 13 years ago. The soundtrack feels like it’s from the same composer. The characters didn’t go through modernization. The scenery and setting are all like it’s still 2011. I think one massive change the animation studio made is improving the animation quality. If you see some water animations, they upped it. I’m sure for a fact that the aquarium scene in Episode 2 wouldn’t have looked that good had it been animated in the 2010s. It’s because technology advanced that they were able to improve the quality for minor details like water and movements.
Because this season is basically what happens after confession, seeing more sides to Sawako, Kazehaya and the others was nice to see. It gives them a more layered aspect to them, even if it did get frustrating. My favorite part was seeing Ryu and Chizuru’s flashbacks with how Ryu’s mother died and how the two dealt with it. I feel like seeing what sort of baggage optimistic characters like Ryu and Chizuru have really makes you like them even more. Heck, I also didn’t expect to be liking Kento now. This season really redeemed him. My only gripe is the lack of Kurumi, but if there is a season 4, she’ll probably show up.
Because it has been 13 years, I’d thought the voice acting would have changed a bit, but nope. The voice actors still maintain how they sound back then. That’s incredible. I did read a post about someone thinking Kazehaya got a new voice actor, but it’s still the same. Namikawa did sound a little different in Episode 1, but he managed to retain that softer tone in later episodes. Oh and Kimi Ni Todoke has an English dub where they’re all voiced by an all-star cast like the Japanese cast! I’ve listened to some of it and it’s really good!
I feel like this season as a whole was a love letter to the fans that loved the previous two anime seasons. I certainly enjoyed my time watching all five episodes (six if you watched Episode 0 which is a recap). Now I demand a Season 4. I don’t care if it’s weekly or all at once. Give it to me now!

23.5 Eps 9 - 12 Live Blogging
well... I started watching an on-air show after a long time (February 2023 Never Let Me Go, I'm not counting Our Skyy 2) and I really just binged the first 8 episodes and fell off lol. Interestingly, I also had to binge the last 4 eps of NLMG because I stopped keeping up weekly after ep 8 (though I did watch eps 4 - 8 on a weekly basis before that).
Anyway, I wasn't feeling a Need to come back to this show because I found the resolution to Ongsa-Earth underwhelming and the reaction I've seen to these last few episodes has also been middling, so hmm idk. I'm also just not in the mood for high school shows right now (I Will Knock You is also on-hold rip), so it feels a bit unfair to this show to watch it when I'm not in the mood but what can you do? I don't want to leave it hanging even after the show ends.
Ep 9: When The Earth Tilts (May 22/23)
9-1
aughhh I really don't know if I should make myself just watch this or not because they're being cute but I just... kinda don't care. I'm indeed in the mood for something more dramatic but I also think I'm just apathetic toward them the way I became toward Akk and Ayan as soon as The Eclipse finished airing and also to Palm and Nueng toward the end of the show (although I loveeee Palm and Nueng now after some time has passed, so maybe that'll be the case here too?)
the introduction of the exchange program
Oh, dad and Ongsa just moved to Bangkok and they're getting to live as a full family, so I guess Alpha and mom lived here before
Aw, Aylin interacting with them and forcing her mouth to do smiles to try to fit in/communicate with human family
I... watched 10 mins the whole day, rip
am I being unnecessarily harsh on this show or does the conversation not seem... natural between Onsga and Sun like it's just a bike riding scene and it should be fine but why am I just like... this isn't how people talk.
at first I was like nooo Ayling shouldn't need to put on makeup to fit in the way she was trying at lunch with Alpha and Ongsa but it's cute if she wants to do it herself before meeting with Luna heh
khun faen hehe
pls not the two pairs competing
9-2
aw, Teacher Nida and Bambam helping an insecure Alpha
9-3
chef Alpha omg
no more P'Ton flirting, we have progressed past the need for P'Ton flirting
Aylin basically pieing his face was so deserved, idc that Ton helped Ongsa and Sun or whatever, he's annoying
oh nooo my poor overwhelmed Aylin
9-4
1 year scholarship to America
and now the guilt of Alpha telling Sun to not leave Ongsa, oh no
is this their first I love you? I can't remember
ahhhh the towel scene + kisses
lol I know how the scene ends because of spoilers but I would've lost my damn mind while waiting if I didn't know lol
I wasn't really into it at the start of this ep but I liked it again by the end!
I didn't mind Luna asking Aylin to socialize more with her family because it's a fairly small step since she already spends time with them and I think it'd be good for Aylin to push herself a bit out of her comfort zone and realize the benefits of maintaining relationships but the stuff at the end was too much, like why must Aylin sit at the table for lunch with a bunch of Luna's friends when she already struggles with people? I hope Luna thinks it through more next ep and apologizes but I'm nervous that that won't be the case based on some fan reactions, though idk if that was to ep 9 or ep 10.
Ep 10: (May 23/24)
10-1
plss Alpha with the knife truly is so funny
ah, Sun's out to her parents + they know Ongsa's her gf but Ongsa didn't know they knew everything
...not keeping secrets
and vaguely hypothetically asking about distance and time
10-2
secrets plaguing Aylin and Sun
oh, Sun's telling Ongsa. and she hasn't even taken the test yet and doesn't know if they'll make it. honestly a pretty good time to get Ongsa, no misunderstandings or really much secrecy yet
10-3
Teacher Bambam and Nida lmfaooo Bambam reading all the tarot cards correctly but not picking up on them being about HER!!
I feel like we've been finally learning more about Sun these past 2 eps through this scholarship and her desire for it
DON'T GIVE UP SCHOLARSHIP AND EXCHANGE PROGRAM AND NEW EXCITING EXPERIENCE FOR THIS RANDOM HIGH SCHOOL RELATIONSHIP
not even TESTING for the scholarship?!?! girl pls
I went to bed and was supposed to watch the last part before going to sleep but I didn't feel like watching Sun out Ongsa (maybe? based on a bit of the Next Part teaser at the end) so I'm here the next morning
10-4
my Aylin !!! :(
but also like... is it that big of a reveal that Aylin was bullied? feels like More should've been said or explored here?
I'm gonna smack Ton
the teachers confession!! hehe
Ongsa's right to tell Sun to pursue her exchange program dreams
okay Sun's outing of Aylin was accidental and I'll give it a pass because she's a teenager who has grown up in a very accepting home and they're all out at school, so she didn't think before mentioning the 3rd wheeling thing
but she should realize that Ongsa's trying to steer the conversation away and back off
instead of confronting Ongsa and outing her in front of her parents and wtf is "so you're never gonna tell them about me?" why is 'never' coming up here? you've barely been dating bruh and haven't discussed anything. like she could've been upset at Ongsa for keeping her a secret without feeling the need to declare it in front of her parents when Ongsa doesn't want to come out
and then just Leaving and riding away on P'Sunny after doing all that?!?!?
I've seen that Ongsa's the one who has to apologize to Sun apparently and I don't want to watch that at all.
Ep 11: (May 24)
11-1
indeed you should've been mad at finding out Ongsa's Earth, would've made more sense than here.
NO MORE TON, ENOUGH
11-2
do I care about Tin and Mawin? I cared more earlier on in the show but now idk
why is there so much Ton, he and Charoen better not end up together like she literally does not like that man
I don't really get the 'you don't understand me at all' thing tbh
11-3
parental acceptance
another series mention of worrying about disappointing the parents
the thing is I just feel like coming out isn't only about "you worry too much about what others think" like that's not the same category as Ongsa not telling anybody about Sun and her dating because Sun's popular while she's not. It has more to do with possible pushback and violence from her own family where she didn't feel safe enough to come out. and i just don't like that coming out and being publicly with a girl is treated as the same thing as 'caring too much about other people'
and like make your home and environment a very explicitly queer-accepting space so that your daughter isn't so afraid of coming out to you and doesn't know what reaction to expect wtf
11-4
losing my entire mind at the Luna/Aylin scene, they're soooo cute, I'm soooo giddy hehehehehehe
Sun's parents at least telling her to not change for the one she loves
and Sun says sorry too
long-distance incoming, i'm guessing we'll get some time skip next ep
So close to the finale, finally
Ongsa sending Sun Hundreds of texts and going to her home at night is why. at least Sun called her out on the texts + acting unhinged publicly about the sun, but why have her go to Sun's house at night while Sun's explicitly ignoring her and knock and text and stuff. at least Alpha was taking her away but still. I'll overlook it (kinda how I still was so into PaiSky in Love In The Sky despite Pai's endless SIMs and calling) but it's been noted.
Ep 12: Promise Me... Sun (May 24)
It's a shame that my feeling is glad that I'm almost done rather than being sad about reaching the end.
12-1
Aylin, I freaking love youuuuuu, cutieeeeeee
12-2
terrible cook Ongsa, so true, same girl
12-3
the merch alien hat
at least we're not getting Ton with Cheroen
12-4
Grade 11... were they in grade 10 before?
the separation being in the literal last part is later than I expected
Aylin putting the Luna love note in her mouth hehehe
Nida/Bambam plssss lmfaoo
no! Ton and Charoen are not in love, leave her aloneeeeeeeeee
Aylin is such a trickster when it comes to getting kisses hehehehehehhe
no more glasses for Ongsa, I saw this on a Tumblr post and was like ?! >:(
reunited
Overall:
GMMTV's first GL and MilkLove's first full GL; I was super excited, especially after having watched MilkLove in Bad Buddy and the Magic of Zero special, which is why I started watching this on-air (thought I'd start it even earlier than ep 8 but didn't because of exams). So it's a shame that I feel so... nothing about the show, especially the main couple; I think Aylin/Luna is my fave ship in here. I think I also just wasn't much in the mood for a silly high school romance series right now, which isn't the show's fault but contributed to why I didn't feel the pull to continue watching the show. When I did watch it, it could get pretty cute though, I giggled/gushed a few times, especially about Luna and Aylin. The teachers' storyline was cute too, though barely there. Aylin was the MVP for sure.
Rating: 6/10

Things I love and appreciate about Not Me a year later:
(All of this is based on the 50 or so shows I’ve watched)
1. The first show I watched not to use the whole husband/wife thing. I hate it so much and I’m glad they didn’t. It’s very heteronormative and doesn’t deserve a place in our community.
2. One of the first BLs not to have the main couple get married in the end (and now Gap too)
3. Not Me had more than one female character and with different personalities too! and Lookjun (my love) wasn’t the scorn woman. It’s so fucking annoying how female characters are treated in shows. They’re bitchy, mean, don’t take no for an answer, the obstacle in the main queer relationship etc
4. The cinematography was EVERYTHING. The sun during the rooftop kissing scene was a paid actor! The sun did what it needed to do!
5. Not Me was the first BL (or one of the first) where the “bottom” didn’t have to be meek and shy while the “top” heavily pursued them to the point where it can get uncomfortable. And after they had sex they genuinely seemed to still like each other, still want to be around each other, and couldn’t keep their hands to themselves. BLs often make the “bottom” act embarrassed and try to push the “top” away from them after they had sex for the first time. The “bottom” must be pursued and persuade before, during and after they have sex. “Bottoms” want to fuck too, come on now! They almost never show the two characters desire each other. It’s like a cat and mouse game that never ends but not in a good way. The one-sidedness of a lot of couples doesn’t seem consensual.
6. You can tell Not Me was filmed by a woman. If a man (definitely a straight man) directed the show it would be A LOT different. Only a woman could film the actors the way she did. The care she took with the camera work and to really show the movements of their hands like when Sean was checking to see if White was sleeping. The lingering, the slowness, the softness was the female gaze. The close up on their faces as they cry and allowing male characters to be “soft” was the female gaze. The entire van scene was the female gaze. I knew Not Me was either written or directed by a woman from the first episode when White is in bed with his girlfriend and the camera isn’t zooming in on her chest as she’s sleeping. It used to only be a western thing but I’m noticing it more and more in certain kdramas.
7. Not homophobic which is laughable. Imagine an LGBT+ show being homophobic but I’ve seen them, but not with Not Me.
a post about loving not me??? this is gonna be a good day <3 I couldn't agree more about everything, not me is the female gaze personified 😌 just one thing, though, about the whole husband/wife thing. I used to HATE it just like you before I understood the cultural difference behind it. I'm not saying it doesn't come from thailand's heteronormative society, but it is something that is ingrained in the thai language, as "puahmia" (husbandwife) is an alternative word for "couple" in thai, meaning that the queer couples who use those terms actually just want to normalize being a couple out in society. where my issue lies more is when the term "wife" is represented as something to be ashamed of in thai dramas. you often see a character fighting this label of "wife" bc of sexism & being seen as the more feminine one is insulting to him. that's why I liked when in the eclipse ayan was happy to be called the wife, I actually thought it was cute. so yeah to conclude I've yet to see an irl thai queer couple complain about the husband/wife thing so idk if we should be fighting their issues for them. but apart from that this was a great ask that highlighted a lot of the points that make not me absolutely superior in every way 😌

Heyyy so is it possible for you to write like an epilogue for 'stardust' where Dao has grown a bit and Akk and Ayan have some disagreements on how to teach him disciplines , but they work it out? I just can't stop thinking about their cute family☺️ tysm
Stardust, my beloved. I originally wasn’t sure I’d be able to answer this prompt because y’all always ask for angst and it makes my heart hurt, but then I thought of this idea and became obsessed. I hope you enjoy! Word Count: 2K
For obvious reasons, Dao had always had a fascination with the stars. Ever since he was a baby, whenever they would step outside, his face would turn skyward. His obsession had only grown as he got older and realized the stars were capable of telling him stories—that if he cared to look, they held all the mysteries of the universe inside them.
Now, their house was full of books and diagrams about space and although Akk found Dao’s hyperfixation endearing, it also worried him. Dao had been in their life for almost eight years and never shown any signs of being anything but human, but Akk couldn’t help but wonder if their son’s craving for knowledge about the stars was a sign that he was meant to return to them someday.
One evening, Akk returned home from work and instead of Dao greeting him at the door like he usually did, his excited voice carried in from the kitchen. Akk headed that way, nearly tripping over Cosmo who had darted in front of him in what he could only assume was a murder attempt, and when he finally reached the kitchen, he just stood in the doorway for a few seconds and watched as his husband cooked dinner and their son talked a mile a minute about comets…or something. Dao’s knowledge of space had far outpaced Akk’s by this point. He was going to have to take a class to catch up.
Figuring he should probably step in to save Aye from the rambling, Akk moved into the room. “I’m home!” he said. Aye turned to smile at him over his shoulder and Akk kissed the top of his head before bending down to ruffle Dao’s hair.
“Dad! Dad!” Dao cried excitedly, smoothing his hair down out of habit. It didn’t do much to help. He had the same cow lick Aye had had at that age and nothing they did seemed to be able to control it. “My class is going on a field trip to the observatory to watch a meteor shower!”
Akk immediately tensed, but he did his best to hide the concern from his face because Dao seemed so excited and Aye was smiling down at him like he wasn’t worried at all.
“You are?” Akk asked, his voice several octaves higher than usual. Aye turned to him in alarm, finally seeming to sense that something was wrong.
“Yeah!” Dao cried and then he was off again, talking about different types of meteor showers and how he’d been dying to see one forever, and Akk just stood there in a state of shock.
“Hey, buddy?” Aye interrupted the boy’s tangent. Dao turned to him, eyebrows raised in silent question. “Dinner’s almost ready. Why don’t you go get changed and we’ll eat when you’re done?”
The only thing Dao loved more than stars was food.
“Okay!” he cried and then he scooped up a picture book he had been flipping through on Jupiter and ran upstairs.
Aye waited until they could hear his footsteps above them before he spoke again. “What’s wrong with you?” he asked, laughing lightly. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
“He can’t go on that field trip, Aye,” Akk said adamantly. “It’s not safe.”
Aye turned his back on the meat he was browning on the stove and leaned against the counter behind him with his arms crossed over his chest. “Why not? His teachers will be there. And it’s not like he’s going to wander off—not when the place has telescopes. I just ordered him a new one for his birthday by the way. I’m not even going to tell you how much it cost.”
“Aye,” Akk said, stepping closer. “A shooting star is what brought him here and it’s what can take him back. What if he wishes to go to space? To the stars? How do we know our wishes will keep him here if he asks to go?”
“He’s just a kid, Akk. He doesn’t want to leave. He just wants to learn more about where he came from.” They had never bothered hiding the truth from Dao. They figured plenty of parents told their kids outlandish stories about where they came from—storks and enchanted cabbage patches and babies washed in by the sea. No one would think twice if they heard Dao saying he came from the stars. It was part of his story and he deserved to know it.
“You don’t know that,” Akk countered.
“If we tell him he can’t go on that field trip, it’s going to break his heart,” Aye said with a heavy sigh. Akk knew that was true, but it was a risk he was willing to take.
“I’ll tell him,” he said. “I’ll be the bad guy.”
Aye turned back around to give the ground beef another stir. “Before you do that, how about the three of us go stargazing tonight? There’s no meteor shower, so you don’t have to worry about any errant wishes. We can talk to him, feel it out. Please. Before you say no.”
And although Akk was reluctant, he finally agreed. Aye turned around to smile at him. While he was distracted, Cosmo hopped onto the counter, stole a chunk of ground beef out of the skillet, and then ran away, all before Aye ever saw him.
✨
Dao was overjoyed when Aye told him they were going to camp out underneath the stars that night. He scarfed down his dinner much too quickly and then was bouncing off the walls until finally, Akk and Aye gave up on cleaning the kitchen and led him out into the night.
Aye threw a blanket onto the ground and the three of them laid down together, Akk and Aye each on one side of their son. Cosmo, who had followed them out of the house, curled up on Dao’s stomach and when the boy’s fingers tangled in his fur, he purred.
“Oh, look! Look at that one!” Dao cried, pointing at a star that looked just the same as any other star in the sky. He began telling a story about it that he had learned in one of his books and Akk couldn’t help but wonder if he’d just picked a star at random to assign that story to or if something inside of him knew.
Akk glanced over at Dao. He looked different in the moonlight. The lightning-shaped fractals on the left side of his body, which were almost invisible in the daytime, came alive at night. They shone with a pearlescent glow as if some stardust still lingered in his veins. It wasn’t vibrant enough for anyone outside their family to notice, but some nights, Akk would stare at his son’s skin for hours. It was beautiful and haunting all at once. The night called to their star child just as their star child called to it.
“I came from up there, didn’t I, Pa? Tell me the story again!”
And so Aye retold the legend of Dao’s birth. The words were well-practiced by now. The two of them had perfected their delivery over the years and no matter how many times they told it, the magic never faded.
“Once upon a time, Dad and I had a big fight and although we still loved each other, neither of us had the courage to apologize. So instead, we each made a wish on a shooting star that the universe would bring us back together. And then the universe sent us you.”
Dao giggled just like he did every time. “And thanks to me, you made up?”
“We did,” Aye agreed, leaning over to kiss the top of his head.
“What were you fighting about?” Dao asked, looking back and forth between the two of them as if he wasn’t quite sure who to ask.
“You know, I can’t seem to remember,” Aye said, feigning ignorance as he turned to glare pointedly at Akk. “What about you, Akk?”
Akk rolled his eyes. Had he not apologized enough? “Something stupid, I’m sure,” he said.
“Something stupid indeed.”
Dao quickly lost interest in their conversation and turned back to the stars again. “Do you think if I asked a shooting star for something, it would give it to me like it did for you?”
“I don’t know,” Aye said, glancing at Akk because that was, after all, exactly what he feared. “Maybe. That’s why you need to be careful what you wish for.”
“If you ask to see the stars up close, the universe might not let you come back,” Akk said. “Do you understand?”
He was a little worried his words might frighten Dao, but luckily, he didn’t seem bothered by the prospect of being whisked away to the heavens and never returned. Instead, he laughed.
“Why would I ask to go to space?” he chuckled, looking over at Akk as if he’d said something utterly ridiculous. “I don’t even have a space suit!”
That wasn’t the answer Akk had been expecting. “What do you want to wish for then?” he asked.
A mischievous grin appeared on Dao’s face, but he tried his best to hide it in Cosmo’s fur. Well, that wasn’t worrying at all. Akk and Aye exchanged a look.
“Dao, honey,” Aye said. “Why don’t you tell us what you want and maybe we can get it for you?”
“You can’t give it to me,” Dao insisted. “Only the stars can.”
Akk shook his head, still not understanding. “But what is it?”
Finally, it seemed Dao could keep the secret locked inside him no longer. He released Cosmo and giggled. “I want a little sister!”
“Oh.” Akk didn’t know what to say other than that. It was both better and worse than what he had expected.
“I think we’ve got our hands full with just you,” Aye said after a brief pause, ruffling Dao’s hair to soften his words. Then all three of them turned their attention back to the sky.
It was over an hour later before Dao agreed to come back inside. Aye finished cleaning the kitchen while Akk took Dao upstairs to get him ready for bed, and then together they tucked him in. He wasn’t scared of the dark like a lot of kids his age. He didn’t need a nightlight. Once they turned the lamp off, the only light in the room was a faint green glow emanating from the glow-in-the-dark stars on his ceiling. He was asleep almost before his head even hit the pillow.
It wasn’t until Akk and Aye themselves crawled into bed that night that they talked about it.
“Maybe you were right,” Aye said with a small laugh. “Maybe we shouldn’t let him go. Those shooting stars can be dangerous.”
But Akk couldn’t stop thinking about a little girl with Aye’s curls, Akk’s eyes, and Dao’s chubby little cheeks. Aye seemed to realize that.
“Akk,” he warned.
“Would it really be so bad?” Akk asked. “We’ve talked about having another kid.”
“Yeah. In a normal way. Not via shooting star!”
“But what would it hurt to try? You, me, and Dao wishing all at once…It just might work!”
Aye stared at him as if trying to decide whether he was joking. “You’re serious?” he asked, his voice achingly hopeful.
Akk nodded and took Aye’s hands into his. “What do you say? You think we have another miracle left in us?”
Ever so slowly, a smile stretched across Aye’s face. “A baby girl?” he asked and Akk could tell that he had already fallen in love with the idea of her, just like he had.
✨
Dao didn’t end up going on his field trip. Instead, the three of them stayed home and wished together upon a shooting star that the universe would make their family whole.
There was a flash of lightning, a buzz of electricity that made their hair stand on end, and then, in the distance, the sound of a baby crying.

forgot to update my produce japan picks after ep 2 & im watching ep 3 today so it's kinda dumb to make this now but im gonna do it anyways 👍
preshow & ep 1 picks
ep 2 picks 👑
sakaguchi rino & ishii ran
capable encouraging people (bonus if theyre good leaders/mentors too) are always my type on these shows. i was already familiar w/ rino and learned more abt ran pre-show and they're totally living up to my expectations 👍 rino & ran you WILL be famous
ep 2 im biased oops
koyama mana - up and down on my list but after the comments that honggi & yumeki made abt her body i'll be supporting her through thick & thin. she's also literally not as bad as they keep making her out to be, it's so obnoxious
oda aruha has actually gone down my pick list because for her to have the dance experience that she has and then completely lose it under pressure...i have sympathy but i've never seen anyone on these shows just freeze. im hoping that something clicks for her soon
ep 2 i like you but
murakami rinon, kasahara momona, sasaki tsukushi, sakurai miu
i don't want to repeat stuff from my previous post but for momona & miu i just need more from them. they're both 100% debuting & i like them but i would like to see them step it up.
rinon is just growing very fast. she came in with no experience but im impressed by her showmanship
tsukushi is extremely talented, easily a top all rounder but she needs a storyline to compel more fans
ep 2 id vote for you but i need to see more
hatta mena, ando yui, kitazume sakura, takami ayane
most of them just have decent skills & good energy, ayane is one of the best vocals on the show but her presence, vibe, & hair desperately need help
ep 2 peanut gallery
kamada moe (1st) & yoshida hana (6th): if im being honest i don't fully remember why i noticed them. i think hana had vocals
kenmotsu nano (2nd): she's pretty & not terrible & born in 2001, which is a win these days! i just liker vibe honestly
nakano kokona (3rd): i just think she's hilarious. the staring contest was so needlessly intense 😭 she's also a pretty decent rapper
sudo sakura (4th): i also think she's hilarious, from the gyuaru audition to shouting during the reeval video, i just like her vibe a lot
ebihara tsuzumi (5th): couldve been in the need to see more section but oh well. i like her, she's a good vocalist, but she's young and needs to grow in dance
kurokawa honoka (7th): that's my daughter from who is princess but it's not looking good for her tbh
aramaki joa (8th): good vibe, decent dancer but she cant sing at alllllll. but the sjow likes her and i dont hate her so im kinda just watching
abe nagomi (9th): she's cute & fun and has a lot of potential
people who i would vote for as of ep2:
a more realistic top 11 w/ some of my picks:

My rant thoughts on the Our Skyy 2 trailer as someone who has watched all the shows and the original Our Skyy and wants to write down all my thoughts so I can come back to them later and laugh about how stupid I was or be amazed by my own genius..
Warning: I wrote a lot!
I was SO excited when Sia Dai started playing in the very first second! For those who don’t know Sia Dai is the ost of the original Our Skyy and it’s an acapella song by 5 U which slaps. I thought they might use a different song but its nice to have the same one. Plus I’m sure we are going to get more songs overall. With so many singers in the cast I’m going to be surprised if GMMTV doesn’t capitalise on it. And with so many characters who play guitar 🙄 I’m sure there’s going to be plenty of musical scenes. It wouldn’t be a GMMTV show if somebody didn’t pull out a guitar.
The Eclipse I am beyond excited to see Akk and Ayan again. They have taken over my every thought for over half a year now and I’m sure I’ll love whatever I get from Our Skyy. But what the hell is going on. They’re in cowboy hats? masks? The leading theory which I agree with is that Wat is making a film and they are acting for him. While I would have been very happy with AkkAyan being cute with each other for 2 episodes straight, these boys deserve to have a bit of fun. We barely got to see them as just boyfriends, without the pressures from the school. I lowkey don’t give a fuck about Kan and Thua but for the sake of my own enjoyment I will pretend like Thua never did what he did. I wish it was all AkkAyan though, they’re the only ones I care about. It would be cool if we got a discussion between Thua and Akk or Ayan about it since it got rushed over in the show but I don’t think its likely. I want Akk and Ayan to be deliriously happy and in love even if its in the form of cowboy shenanigans. I still hope the earring theory is true although it does look like Ayan is wearing two earrings in the trailer. Thua does get punched in the trailer which made me very happy. Akk’s face at 1:16 is the only thing I’ve been able to think about since I saw it. It is now my pfp. I can’t wait to give GMMTV all my money to buy one of those solstice hats. Luckily my sister was with me for emotional support when the trailer released, I might have cried. They mean so much to me and I’m not sure what I’m going to do when they’re gone.
Bad Buddy I’m so excited to see Pat and Pran again! I don’t actually mind Pat’s hair although I’ve seen a lot of people hating it. I think its hilarious that he stole Korn’s hair and it would be funny af if that was something the characters actually did because they’re bffs not just because of how the actors look. It’s sad theres no InkPa but it would be a disservice to them to just squeeze them in on the side. MilkLove deserve more which is why I hope 23.5 is coming soon. I’ve seen PatPran in the trailer described as sluts and I have to agree. What’s with the finger thing Pat? It was a hell of a jumpscare to see that right after Akk and Ayan’s cute cowboy moment. BUT! I didn’t notice at first but I think Pran is wearing a Nong Nao sleeping mask which is super cute and also definitely a chance for GMMTV to sell more stuff. I look forward to seeing Architecture and Engineering gang shenanigans and I am praying for WaiKorn in whatever form they are willing to give me. That scene of patpran lying on top of each other really reminds me of the ‘do you want to be friends” “do you?” moment from the first Bad Buddy trailer, the poster for which has been my header image from the moment I first knew what Bad Buddy was.
Vice Versa PUEN AND TALAY 😭 FRIEND CREDITS 😭😭😭 I miss friend credits so much but don’t think we are going to get them again. Maybe some version of it with Tup and Tou but it won’t be the same. I hope we get a glimpse of how the characters in the other universe are doing but I also don’t think it’s likely. Puen and Talay were very cute in the trailer. They’re sitting with a kid, could it be their son? a random kid they abducted? They are engaged it would make sense for them to be the couple to get married (if a couple is going to get married). It does look like they’re living together and are still dorks in love. Puen wearing the friend credits shirt and Talay wearing the helmet makes me miss them. I really hope the episodes have colour names like the original show and hopefully the same level of amazing detail as well. It’s what Vice Versa deserves for being GMMTV’s most detailed and underrated show.
My School President When I watched the Our Skyy trailer from GMMTV2023 I was not expecting to care so much about msp. Back then I couldn’t give a fuck about whatever stupid high school show these kids were going to be in. I was a cynic back then, I wasn’t expecting msp to be such a sweet and wonderful breath of fresh air and for Gemini and Fourth to put their all into Tinn and Gun. I’ve been listening to Saliva non-stop recently and all the songs are so good. There were already theories floating around that msp would have a body swap episode but the truth is even cooler. It looks like they’re doing a soul swap, Tinn and Gun, Sound and Win, Tiw and Por and Pat and Yo have swapped actors. The question is how much is going to change, how much of the show are they going to recreate like this? It’s a fun idea, I can understand why msp fans are disappointed though, they don’t really get new content and a lot of people wanted to see them in university. UNLESS! it’s all a misdirect and Tiw is filming something where Tinn plays as Gun ect.. but remembering the OffGun Our Skyy episode when they swapped bodies it would be on brand for GMMTV to some kind of swap in one of the episodes. Also why are they at the NLMG school? I saw a theory say it’s a crossover with Vice Versa and they’re in an alternate universe but I doubt its that intricate. It was probably just easier to film there. Fourth as Tinn in Gun’s dessert shop wearing the glasses is SO cute. I can’t wait to see Fourth do his best at playing our head over heels simp Tinn. And for those thinking the scene at the end of the trailer is going to be a kiss, there is no way that isn’t one of Tinn’s many delusions. I hope we get a bit of TiwPor, they deserved more time in the actual show and I still think if would have been great if they were secretly dating the entire time.
Never Let Me Go These episodes look like they’re going to be very interesting!! It looks like Palm and Neung might travel to the past? They are wearing a lot of interesting clothing and are in interesting locations. You would hope they get a chance to chill out and be regular teens but that’s unlikely. If it is a time travel plot I’m sure it will be a lot of fun. They’ve got brain and brawn and a lot of dedication to each other. Their forehead leaning moment at the end of the trailer is beautiful, I can’t wait to see that scene.
a Boss and a Babe Even if it hasn’t finished yet I already adore Cher and Boss and I’m sure the Our Skyy episode will be as fun and enjoyable as the show. I saw some people theorising that they might get a body swap because there’s a scene of Cher wearing a suit but I think its more likely to be him goofing around. It’s nice to know that even when the show ends there will be some more of them.
Star in My Mind I’m not particularly fond of Star in My Mind, it was cute but kind of boring but seeing adorable established couple Khabkluen and Daonuea in Sky in your Heart was one of my favourite parts of that half of the show so it will be nice to see some more of that. I wonder what will happen with their friends and the vague side couple stuff that seemed to be going on, especially considering that Winny and Satang are quite popular now. I wonder what the situation is with all of their friends yelling at them to kiss, maybe a proposal but they’re still in university so I doubt it. I’m sure it will be cute.
Tale of a Thousand Stars This is the one I’m least excited for, I didn’t really love atots it wasn’t particularly interesting to me. I was disappointed we didn’t get to see Tian’s proper return to the village, using his teaching skills with the kids and seeing how having no/little contact for so long affected their relationship. So hopefully these episodes will provide some of that.
If you made it to the end congratulations, share with me your theories if you have any, I’m so so excited for this show.
#this is for me to come back and read sometime in the future when our skyy is finished. As prompt. Established relationship. The eclipse. Aye and Akk. Aye being sick and akk taking care of him. And it's just soft, fluffy, clingy, loving.
this may contain a bitchier akk than you wanted djnjfdnfjnfdjn. also set in an our skyy2 divergence where ayan succesfully bullied his bf into coming to study in england with him!
also on ao3
Aye’s been working on this assignment for like, two hours, and he’s practically glaring at the screen.
No signs of taking a break or noticing his surroundings.
Akk goes to the kitchen, all casual, and fills a glass with ice, then with water, and stands there in the kitchen like a dick for a while as he holds the glass. It’s a shared kitchen in their accommodation, but luckily empty. Because he looks weird, he knows.
When he’s pretty sure he’s held it for long enough, he goes back to their room; Aye doesn’t even look up.
Putting the glass down out of Aye’s reach, he walks over to his boyfriend, who keeps ignoring him for the laptop and textbook in front of him.
When Akk looks over what he’s doing, it looks like the same assignments he always has, but, again, extreme focus for two hours – something is different from Aye’s usual approach of taking all the necessary breaks and then a dozen more just to be safe.
Whatever; Akk’s on a different course, all the assignments would look the same to him.
Before his hand can warm back up, he slips it down the back of Aye’s shirt, bringing the cold from the ice and making Aye whine, “Akk, why?”
Wait, whine?
Normally that’s a yelp-and-a-jump.
“Aye,” he asks, worried, “What’s up?”
Turning to look at him, disbelief in his eyes, Aye says, “Funny.”
But when he does look, Akk sees that his eyes are bloodshot, and his face generally does not look anything like his normal health.
They’re really into skincare; the bags under his eyes are noticeable.
“Are you sick?”
Aye shakes his head and makes a face, saying, “This is due at the end of the week.”
Sometimes Akk thinks they’ve been bad influences on each other – he definitely remembers pissing Kan and Wat off exactly like this, back in high school.
Of course, he’s bigger than Aye, and wouldn’t need numbers advantage to wrestle him to bed the way Akk’s friends had, back then, but Aye is also the same as him; he’d for sure get up at like three in the morning to finish his assignment.
Done calculating, Akk says, “Okay, so you’re sick.”
“I’m not-“
“-You would have finished this by now if you weren’t, right?”
Aye makes a face – one of his grumpiest, least-cute-if-that-were-possible, pouts – and says, “Maybe it’s just harder.”
“Uh huh.”
It’s not like Aye expects Akk to believe him; he said maybe.
“It’s colder here,” Aye defends himself, continuing to squint at his work like it’ll move on its own if he just convinces it to.
Akk hums, “Who was the one who wanted to come to England?”
“We both did,” Aye mutters to himself, but Akk’s getting up and doesn’t listen to that rewriting of history.
He goes to the growing collection of cheap teabags kept on their shared bookshelf and starts his rummage.
Because Akk is very grateful to Aye’s mother for doing this for him – too grateful, too worried about how much there is even though Aye keeps saying it’s not a worry – but he’d been adamant that he wasn’t going to take it. They’d argued about it, nearly fought.
And, okay, yeah, Aye wouldn’t have fought if he hadn’t known how much Akk actually did want it, but-
Spiced ginger tea. Found it.
He gets two bags, for strength, and goes to the not-technically-allowed-in-their-room kettle to start the boil.
Aye’s favourite mug is, of course, Akk’s mug, so he puts the bags in that to wait.
When he looks over, Aye is visibly starting to slump.
It’s probably going to be at least another half-hour before Aye admits defeat, of course, because he doesn’t like doing that. Akk knows where the painkillers are, and the hand-towel he’s going to use for a hot compress.
Red eyes – he’s betting Aye has the sinus thing that’s been going around.
Once the tea is made, the bags discarded, he brings it over to the table and finds-
“Aye, that’s ice water, you’ll make yourself worse-“
“-I’m not even sick, Akk, and you’re the one that brought it over,” Aye snaps.
Snapping means Aye has a headache.
Akk removes the glass from Aye’s hand and once again places it out of reach, but he replaces it with the ginger tea and says, “Drink that. Stop torturing your throat.”
It’s a testament to how slow the sickness is starting to make Aye’s mind that he doesn’t make a dirty joke about it.
The girl downstairs has been coughing horribly, painful-sounding and all night, for over a week now. He feels his chest clenching, because he should have spotted this developing in Aye sometime before evening.
Aye sips at the tea and Akk watches his face – a tiny furrowed line of tension in his forehead briefly eases, so he was right about the throat.
He goes back to typing and Akk remembers to ask, “Is your laptop brightness down as low as it goes?”
“Huh?” Aye blinks at him.
Of all the fucking-
Akk reaches over and presses the F2 button – he’s not a computer guy but that one has a tiny sun and is next to the one with the big sun, so he takes a guess – and watches the screen dim.
They make eye contact when Aye turns to him; Akk raises an eyebrow because he doesn’t need words to say, no headache, huh?
Pretending not to see that or maybe not wanting to dignify him with a response, Aye turns back to his screen. Akk’s pretty sure the faster typing isn’t in his imagination, too.
If Aye’s going to be stubborn Akk can still help.
He’s waiting right here.
It takes two more cups for Aye to suddenly close his laptop and cross his arms over it, letting his head fall sideways onto them so he can be facing Akk when he pouts to tell him, “It’s due at the end of the week.”
“Hm,” Akk agrees. “And three days is never enough for you to finish one assignment, right?”
Aye pouts harder.
He strokes the side of Aye’s face and can’t figure out if it’s too warm, watching him with concern; Aye, less concerned, closes his eyes and hums under the petting.
It’s much more softly that Akk says, “Come on, get up, you can’t sleep here.”
And in the end he does need to manhandle him anyway, to the bed, where he’s already put a lukewarm bottle of water and the ibuprofen pack; the hot compress isn’t ready yet, of course, because Aye had held out for fifteen minutes longer than he expected.
“I can’t sleep in this,” Aye whines.
Akk rolls his eyes and goes to get Aye some softer clothes.
