Moonflowers & Werewolves - Chapter One 🌕🐺
Tumblr media
Derek Hale x Reader (Madison Wells)
A/N: Alohaz my dearest bugsies, this little teen wolf magic was requested (I sure do hope you enjoy it bugsie) I'm quite excited to see were it goes.🐞❤️
Side Note: Thanks for all the support and love - my stories is available on watpad aswell 🤗🐞❤️
Warnings: It is Sci-fi, Fantasy, Horror so there can be a little of everything.
''Good morning class'', her fruity voice washes over the class of high scholars,'' I'm Miss Madison Wells, but y'all can call me Miss Wells''.
''Good morning Miss Wells'', the whole class sang.
''I will be your new English Literature teacher, and I'm sure we are going to have a great school year. Before we start our first class, I want to lay down some ground rules''.
The bunch of teen-agers start to chatter underneath each other.
''Now settle down class'', with a stern look on her beautiful face. Rules is as follows, picking up some white chalk, writing as she speaks,'' 1. There will be no speaking during tests, 2. There will be no mocking or calling out others, 3. There will be toleration of bullying whatsoever, and the most important rule, 4. Always feel free to come and talk to me, if you don't understand a question, or if you need someone to talk too''.
Glancing over the classroom, "okay kids, now that we set some rules, I need each and everyone of you to write down, your favorite quote, and give me a summary of why it's your favorite, it can be from someone famous or a close friend, or loved one, when your done, please place it, in this box on my desk" she stated.
Deep in thought while the kids are doing their assignment, thinking back at why she took this job in a town called beacon hills of all places.
"I walked in on them mom, Tom and that... That," she bites her tongue, in order to silence herself from saying something horrible.
"Honey I'm so sorry, I always told you his no good" the much older woman replied.
"Mom, really, now is not the time, I don't need I told you so, I need a hug, and a new life" her voice brittle
Her mom just pulled her closer, and she cried, Tom choose that blonde over me, mom, five years of marriage, just gone.
''What am I going to do now? How do I move on from here? How do I heal my broken heart? How do I get over this mom? How do I trust again?.
The ringing of the school bell, breaks her thoughts, quickly drying off the stray tear, turning towards the kids "okay class, tomorrow we start by reading Hemingway" Giving them a heartwarming smile. "I'll leave you with a little something from Him 'Mistakes are proof that you're trying' so go out today knowing that your trying, have a great day further" her fruity voice fills the classroom.
Gathering all her stuff, in her big tote bag, walking out of her classroom, still trying to figure out where everything is, she came through on Saturday, so she still needs to unpack, and figure out the town, the shops and so on.
Walking past the boys lockers room, hearing there laughter, then glancing through the nearby window, "never have I ever heard of Lacrosse where I come from I know about football and baseball" saying underneath her breath.
Tumblr media
"You look a little lost" his smoky voice makes her turn around.
Looking up at the man with his broad shoulders towering over her, a smile  on his lips, dark hair and a trimmed dark beard with silver here and there, enhancing his already amazing jawline, his green-hazel eyes friendly. "Yeah, I feel a little lost'' smiling  I'm still trying to figure out where everything is" she exclaims
"Oh! You must be the new English literature teacher? I'm Eli's father, Derek Hale, if he gives you any trouble let me know" he chuckles
"Nice to meet you Derek, I'm Madison Wells, and yes it's my first day" a smile on her pink-stained lips
"Nice to meet you too, Madison, I sure do hope you'll enjoy living here in Beacon Hills, now if you'll excuse me, I have to go and take my son's equipment, that he forgot again" he expressed
"Kids always forget things, good luck and hope you have a lovely afternoon" she laughs a little. As he walks into the boys lockers room, she walks down the hallway, to her car.
"Eli, you forgot your stuff at home" he said with smile
''Thanks dad, I cannot believe I forgot it again'' laughing a little.
''Enjoy practice son, I need to get back to work.'' gesturing a goodbye
As he walks to his Chevrolet Camaro, he catches a glimpse of the new teacher, her long brown hair, soaking up the sunshine revealing the light brown highlights dancing in the wavy lengths. She has friendly hazel-brown eyes and a breathtaking smile, and a beautiful voice, remembering, the shiny diamond ring on her left finger, her husband is one lucky man. Shaking his head at his own thoughts, ''What is the matter with me, I don't even know her, but there's something about Madison Wells  that's just so inviting'' clicking his tongue at himself.
Walking into her new rental home, the boxes all over makes her sigh. ''Who would've thought at my age I'll start over, new job, new town, divorced. I need a glass of wine and some pizza before I start unpacking of what's left of my life.'' she sighed.
The door bell rings, ''yay, my pizza has arrived'' she yelps.
''Here you go miss'' handing her the box.
Tumblr media
Giving the young man , with his brown hair, hanging over his ears, the money, realizing its one of the students, she met today. ''Thank you, Eli right?''
His voice, sounded surprised, ''Oh sorry Miss Wells, I didn't recognize you''
A nervous chuckle escapes her lips ''Yes I look like a mess, busy unpacking and all''
''Not what I meant, you look beautiful'' his cheeks turning a bright red
Laughing ''Thank you Eli''
Rubbing the back of his neck, ''So where neighbors then, me and my dad lives right across the street''
''Oh okay! That's nice to know'' she exclaims.
''Speaking of my dad, I need to get home, this was my last delivery, goodbye miss Wells'' he shouts while walking off.
''Bye Eli'' waving then closing the door. ''Oh that's just lovely, the first day already and one of my students seen me looking like a mess, what is the parents going to think.''
After eating a slice of pizza she, walks to her suitcase, taking a hoody, thinking she needs to go for a run, it always clears her head.
After locking the door she starts to slowly jog, seeing Derek and Eli Hale sitting at the dining room table, enjoying dinner.
That's how my life was supposed to be, a happy little family, if only Tom wanted kids, but no! Thinking back now, I'm actually glad we never had kids, imagine the pain they would be feeling when we went through the divorce. Not realizing that she ran into the woods she came to a stop, when almost tripping over a log.
''Yikes! That was close'' she murmured Glancing up at the sky, its full moon, ''Wow! its breathtakingly beautiful'', walking a little closer to the edge, finding a place to sit, trees and stars as far as you can look. With the wind blowing in her face, only then she realizes the wet stains on her cheeks.
A creaking sound of sticks and leaves, breaks her gaze, ''anyone there'' voice shaky ''hello'' hearing a thudding sound coming closer, getting to a stand, ''hello'' her hands trembling, glaring over the side of the bushes where the eerie sound comes from, seeing the deepest, brightest bluest  eyes she's ever seen.
Tumblr media
''What, its a damn wolf'' she stutters. The wolf walks closer and closer, to almost where she stands. ''What do I do'' saying shaky. The whimpering of the wolf leaves her trembling, the big, black wolf looks straight into her eyes and then he...

What Is Peer Tutoring? Learn the Basics Here
Have you ever heard of peer tutoring? If you haven't, here's your chance to find out more. Peer tutoring is a great way to get the help you need with a difficult topic. Whether you're looking for economics tutors online or someone to give you private tutoring, peer tutoring can definitely be a viable option.
As the name implies, “peer” tutor-learner relationships involve working with someone who has more experience or deeper understanding in a specific field. This could be any type of subject from math, science and reading to business, music and more—the possibilities are endless! And the best part? It's usually free!
In this article, we'll discuss what peer tutoring is and how it works, as well as its various types and why it's so beneficial. So if you're interested in exploring this concept further, keep reading!
What Is Peer Tutoring?
Making sure you understand the material in school can be tricky—fortunately, help is available! That help comes in the form of peer tutoring, which is when two or more students learn together. In many cases, this type of tutoring centers on one student teaching another student how to do something.
Peer tutoring typically takes place between students who already know one another, such as classmates or friends. It can involve a lot of different activities depending on the subject and what kind of help is needed. For instance, peer tutors may read aloud together, go over study flashcards, practice taking a test together, or discuss an assignment or concept in-depth.
Overall, the purpose of peer tutoring is to support and empower students as they become better thinkers and learners. It allows them to review material collaboratively in a way that does not involve pressure from teachers or parents. Although it's sometimes informal, it can also be very structured and organized depending on what’s needed for the particular subject matter.
Benefits of Peer Tutoring
Peer tutoring has so many benefits for both the tutor and the student. Let's talk about a few of them.
For Tutors:
Tutors gain valuable experience teaching concepts, developing problem solving skills, communicating effectively and understanding course material from a different perspective.
In addition, tutoring can be a great networking opportunity or resume builder.
For Students:
It provides students with an opportunity to receive personalized instruction and feedback.
Through seeing content applied in real-time with peers, students can ask questions and get an explanation in the moment that they don’t always get in a traditional classroom environment.
Working with an experienced peer tutor can help build confidence and improve performance by focusing on specific weaknesses.

Being able to learn from one another is one of the most powerful aspects of peer tutoring—benefitting both the tutor and student. With so many options for connecting to private tutors online, it's never been easier to give or receive peer support from the comfort of your own home!
Types of Peer Tutoring
Peer tutoring can come in many different forms. Here are some of the key types of peer tutoring to be aware of:
In-Person Tutors
In-person tutors are usually college or high school students who have proven their academic prowess, and offer private tutoring sessions for fellow students. Tutors may specialize in one particular subject like math or English, or have a more broad focus that’s helpful for middle schoolers who need help with multiple classes.
Online Tutors
Online tutors are typically students who’ve achieved top scores in their graduating classes, and provide top quality instruction at an affordable rate. They offer a range of services, from individual one-on-one sessions to group activities that feature multiple students from different backgrounds, all doing the same activity together over a video call.
Group Tutoring
Group tutoring is a great way for elementary and middle schoolers to get help on common topics like math, science, and social studies. It offers the chance to collaborate with other students on assignments and group projects while still getting guidance from an experienced tutor. The tutor can also modify their teaching style to accommodate multiple learning styles in the same session.
No matter which type of peer tutorial you choose, they all have one thing in common: providing top notch instruction at an affordable rate!

Difference Between Online and in-Person Tutoring
When it comes to understanding the difference between online and in-person tutoring, there is quite a bit to consider.
Online Tutoring
Online tutoring is an excellent way to access knowledge from anywhere in the world. This type of tutoring uses web-based technology such as Skype, Zoom or Google Hangouts. It also relies on the student’s ability to comprehend instructions and take responsibility for their own learning process.
In-Person Tutoring
In-person tutoring has its own set of advantages. For example, an in-person tutor can provide direct feedback and guidance on educational materials. This type of tutoring also allows for a more personalized approach to teaching as it can be tailored to the individual student’s learning style, strengths and weaknesses.
Ultimately, when it comes to choosing between online or in-person tutoring, it is important to think about your individual needs and preferences as well as accessibility issues like budget limitations, location or availability of professional tutors.
How to Find a Quality Private Tutor Online
Finding a quality private tutor online isn't hard these days. There are a number of websites and apps that offer the opportunity to connect with tutors who have taken the time to learn their craft and are excited to help you.
Consider Experience and Credentials
When searching for a pre tutor online, consider experience, qualifications and references. It's important to read reviews and find out more about the tutor's background before committing to them. You want to make sure they have a solid understanding of the subject matter you need help with.

Ask Questions
Before hiring an online tutor, chat with them in advance to ask questions, such as why they are qualified to tutor you in that particular subjects, personal references from previous students or interested parties, or any other questions that come up during your conversation.
Research Platforms
Research the various platforms available for peer tutoring online before making any commitments—look into their history and reputation among users. Make sure the platform is secure so you can feel safe exchanging sensitive information such as payment information or student transcripts.
Once you find a suitable platform and the right tutor for your needs, the next step is to decide on a payment plan that works for both of you — this could be hourly rate or fixed-rate packages — and then work together on your objectives. With patience and practice, soon enough you’ll see great improvements in your grades!
Best Practices for an Effective Online Tutoring Session
When it comes to having an effective online tutoring session, there are a few best practices to keep in mind. To help you make the most of your online tutoring session, here are some things to know:
Have a Plan
Before the session starts, Tutor and Student should have a plan in mind so they can make the most of their time together. This includes setting clear expectations, agreeing on topics to cover during the session, and even creating a list of questions.
Create an Inviting Space
Creating an inviting space for an online tutoring session is important for both Tutor and Student. This means that both parties should be in a place that is free from distractions with good lighting and internet speed.

Use Quality Technology
Having quality technology available is essential for effective online tutoring sessions. Since communication is key, it’s important to use audio and video chat with reliable Wi-Fi connections or Ethernet connections when possible. Also, utilizing technological tools like virtual whiteboards or writing pad apps can be helpful for visual aids during the learning process as well.
Respect Each Other’s Time
Time management is crucial when it comes to online tutor sessions so both parties should agree on and respect timing guidelines before beginning their session. Scheduling at least two 30-minute sessions per week would be ideal as student and tutor can review topics discussed in earlier sessions while also exploring new ones effectively.
Conclusion
In the end, peer tutoring is a great way to supplement learning and enhance both the educational experience and social networks of learners. It's an effective and customizable tool to help students get the support they need to understand difficult concepts, ask questions, and maximize their potential.
Whether you're looking to find a online tutor, in-person, or just need a bit of extra support, peer tutoring is becoming a common practice to improve study habits and academic performance. With a bit of research, you'll be on your way to connecting with the right tutor to help you or your student reach their goals.

Professor Jaehyun x Female Reader
Rating: 18+🛑
Word count: 2K
Content: smut, unprotected sex, fingering, dominant Jaehyun, praising, teacherxstudent, dilf Jaehyun, slight public intercourse
Disclaimer: I do not own Jung Jaehyun nor claim him in any sort of way. This Fanfiction is made up out of pure imagination and is strictly just fiction.
A/N: this is my first time writing for this tumblr platform and please give strict constructive advice if needed! Thanks!
___________________________
"Gosh he's hot!" I whispered under my breath gazing upon the dilf himself, Mr.Jung or in other words my calculus professor.
He stood tall and confident in front of the oddly huge white board, broad shoulders facing the class until he eventually turns around to ask a random student to answer the question that I had yet to even realize what it was. He swiftly scans the multiple rows of seats depicting who had been paying attention and who hasn't. I slowly began to sink in my seat avoiding be called on at any cost.
"Ah, y/n! I see you there! Come up here and answer this question for the class." He demands in a polite manner.
I had no problem with it of course, until he said to come forth. This is a first he's ever asked anyone to write the actual answer. My heart pounds within my chest, praying I don't make a fool of myself walking down or back up these unnecessarily wide stairs.
Mr.Jung steps aside and greets me with his well known charming smile. The amount of times this man alone has made me want scream to knock all the built up nerves out of my body. He made me feel more than just butterflies, I couldn't quite put a finger on it.
"Need help?" Mr.Jung folds his arms stepping closer.
"N-no thank you, I'm sure I got it."
My hands fumbled to reach for the dry erase marker he held out for me. It was a bit warm considering he's been holding it for more than half the class. I took a quick glance at the question, immediately regretting what I said. I did indeed need help, and I don't got it. I'm sure he could tell I was hesitating as my finger sits comfortably above my top lip.
'here goes nothing.' I thought before writing what I thought was the right answer. Mr.Jung examined the question, "close but not quite. The answer was -9, you forgot to subtract this which why you got -2. Try another easy one similar to this."
Bullshit. This question didn't look no where as easy. If I mess up again oh well, it's not like he'd pop out with another question to further embarrass me. As I thought long and hard about the problem, it began to feel like it was just us two. Him applying an uncomfortable amount of pressure with just the distance between us and me panicking underneath his anticipated stare.
"Not quite right neither, it'd be best for you to stay after class you seem to be having a lot of troubles."
Mr.Jung wiped the whiteboard free of any writing once I answered the last question and moved on with his lessons. I barely made it to the first step before he had wrote the next problem to briefly go over thanks to me. His words far more stern and exaggerated in attempt to sub me. Out of my entire time being in his class this had been the most I've ever seen this man share eye contact. Yet, it wasn't sweet and kind, more like curiosity had taken over and he couldn't get why I answered both questions incorrectly.
That exact thought had been on his mind throughout the rest of the class. A part of him felt anxious to know what it was that made me fumble at the problem that he knew I could solve perfectly fine on my own.
______________________
"Alright you all have a great rest of your afternoon and please do study for this upcoming test. It'll be more than 40% of your grade!" Mr.Jung announced as the classroom flooded out the doors, All except one person.
"Ms.l/n,"
He heaved a deep sigh, shoving his hands into his almost too tight dress pants pocket. He paced around his desk before sitting directly on the rounded edge. He looked dramatically intimidating, like he wanted to degrade you the moment he could.
"Is everything okay? You're normally really good with math. It hurt me to see you troubled with such an easy question."
My hands couldn't help but fiddle with the zipper sewed into my bag. How was I supposed to tell my teacher that he was the problem. Not in any sort of bad way, and not in any good way neither.
"Yeah I'm fine, just had a rough week." I lied.
"You seem kind of tense. Am I making you uncomfortable?" He innocently spoke while his eyes examined my body for some type of body language.
My knees buckled, hands folding anything to keep me calm, and not mentioning my blushed face. I was 100% sure that my face was completely flushed a crimson red. There was no denying it.
He didn't wait for an answer, and simply lowered his curtain covering the window then locked the door. I was unsure of what his intentions were but my mind was far off somewhere it shouldn't be regarding the fact that I'm just his student. The thought of him shoving all of his folders and papers off his desk and pinning me clouded my mind. My dying fantasy to have the slightest interaction that no other girl has ever had with him.
"I'm all ears. That's if you're comfortable with telling me of course." He knocked me into reality as I began to feel guilty for thinking negatively of his intentions.
"I'm not sure I can be completely honest." I mumbled beneath my breath breaking eye contact.
"And why is that?"
Mr.Jung held his arm out for me to grab. With little to no hesitation at all, I placed my hand in his. His thumb grazes over my knuckles a fee times until his eyes darted up towards mine.
"Cause I'm in no sort of position to have such thoughts."
I simply remove my hand from his grip feeling the tense sensation overwhelm me once again building up the need to put an end to this. He sensed it immediately.
"Turn around."
"Huh?"
"I'm not gonna say it again." His voice had more depth and demand stringing to it.
I did exactly what he said, no questions asked. His hands set firmly on my shoulders guiding me closer towards him until I felt the warmth radiating off of his body and onto mine. His thumb running deep circles into my shoulder blades releasing the tension that remained.
"Now tell me what position you feel you need to be in."
His hands made its way to my spine tracing all the way down to my waist before kneading my lower back.
"Missionary?"
"That can work too but I meant regarding to what you said. What position do you need to be in to have such dirty thoughts?"
By now, you were inches away from in between his legs, as much as I wished to be in this dearest situation, my first instinct was to freeze up. Was this really happening?
"I'm just your student. The things I want to do will ruin your career." I admitted.
He hummed at my answer willingly holding my waist and pulling me directly into his lap. I felt the slightest bulge poking me through my thin leggings. His head rested onto my right shoulder sending shivers down my back.
"There's nothing wrong with the student getting a little extra lesson with chemistry." He bluntly stated right beneath my ear.
I began to feel throbbing and anticipation between my legs.  Or maybe I had just noticed it now. His hands ventured from my waist toward the hem of my leggings, thumb pushing past my leggings and rubbing the outline of my panties. My stomach bursted with butterflies under his touch. He bit his lips as he felt the smooth lace of my underwear.
"Good choice Ms.l/n," he huskily whispered.
"Tell me about how you fantasize about me in explicit detail if you would."
My chapped lips parted realizing a deep breath I held in since he began to touch me in the ways I haven't yet imagined. His fingers trailed down to palm my womanhood gently creating the knot in my stomach.
"You had me alone like now, desperately removing everything off the desk to pin me down. Ripping my shirt in half as you cupped my boobs. One hand busy playing with my nipples, the other rubbing rough circles on my clit as you told me come."
He chuckled in response as he removed his hand from me and remained silent. As much as I wanted to turn around a catch a glimpse of his face, I was already too embarrassed sharing my intimate dreams with him.
He bit his lips dauntingly, "can I?"
"What?"
"Can I make that dream a reality?"
He slightly nibbled onto my ear, heat fuming from my dripping core soaking my panties by the second. I silently nodded afraid to speak at all. "I want to hear you say it, can I touch you?"
"Yes, Mr.Jung."
"Good girl, just for this I'll allow you to call me Jaehyun okay baby?"
I nodded once again holding back the whimpers threatening to leave my lips. His hands rubbed my ass gently getting rough within seconds, groping me every chance he got. The bulge teasingly poked at my core as he undid his pants lowering his draws enough to let his member spring free; slowly stroking himself onto my ass. Jaehyun grunted as the friction increased. His fingers tugged the the hem of my leggings sliding them down to my knees locking them in place.
"Damn you're sexy." He moaned taking in the sight of my now exposed ass. He stroked himself aggressively before tracing my spine with his fingers and bending me over. His other hand pushing my panties to the side as he inserted double digits into my soaked core curling his fingers and his thumb circled my clit. My breath became unstable panting like there was no tomorrow.  My walls clenched amongst his digits fighting the urge to come.  "Mhmm I-I can't hold it." I moaned balling my fists up against my knees for support. He took his digits out sucking every ounce making sure I heard the slurping noise before he lined himself at my entrance.
I inhaled a sharp breath as he entered his tip inside me. I had no clue how big he was but felt my walls adjusting to the girth of him. I bit my lip, holding back from the moans. His hands firmly placed on my hips as he shoved the rest of his large length inside me. I let out a small gasp followed with hitched breaths as his length reached what felt like my cervix. "Shh, you don't want no one to hear you don't you?" He whispered stopping in his tracks for a split second. He pulled almost all the way out coated with your juices only just to shove his length in back in reaching spots he may have missed.
"Oh fuck." Jaehyun groaned thrusting sluggishly. My walls clenched around him causing his grip to tighten on my waist. Tears streaming down my face in pleasure. He picked up the pace being careful enough to refrain from making any clapping noises. As much as he want to rail me until my eyes rolled back and seen stars he couldn't, not in this environment. Yet it was still enough to satisfy the both of our needs. Soft whimpers were the only thing he'd allow out of my mouth, anything louder than that he'd immediately pull out as a sign of punishment. His hand left my waist grabbing fistfuls of my hair and yanking it to see my fucked out facial expressions.
"Jaehyun." I breathed out as he rammed into me.
"Ms.l/n, you dirty little slut of mine, Ms.l/n you feel so good taking all my length in your wet pussy." He groaned aggressively in my ear pounded into me completely forgetting the fact that we were in his classroom. ~
"Ms.l/n! Please stop zoning out in my class!" Mr.Jung semi-shouts jolting me out of my day dream.  I immediately fixed my posture examining the dozens of eyes all drawn towards me including Mr.Jeong. He cocked an eyebrow at me before running his tongue on the inside of his cheek.
"See me after class." He demanded and continued on with his lesson. And just like that, I added on to my series of fantasies with my Calculus professor.

The apocalypse had truly struck at Hope’s Peak Academy. This had never happened before in history: the worst, most tragic incident ever.
Kiyotaka was nowhere to be found in the cafe for their class study session.
“He’s ten minutes late, even Yasuhiro has shown up,” Byakuya clicked his tongue in a mix of confusion and disappointment. “Ah, no need to wait on him any longer,” he brought out his notes and began to discuss with Celestia over their study guide.
“Guys, I don’t think we should start without him. I mean, how many times is he actually late?” (Y/n) spoke up, covering Celestia’s notes with her hands. She pursed her lips with a slight tilt of her head to signal a nod.
“I suppose.” Byakuya closed his notes and furrowed his eyebrows as they waited about five minutes.
A rushed Taka walked into the cafe quickly, striding as wide as possible without technically running. He looked as all the seats appeared to be taken and pulled one up next to (Y/n) as she greeted him with a wave. He placed down his binder of notes as Leon groaned.
“Dude, I can’t pay attention that long,” he placed his hands over his head. Sayaka smiled and patted his head in humorous comfort.
“Did we cover this much information?” Celestia asked, resting her chin on her hands as Byakuya shook his head.
“It’s important that as students we study to the best of our abilities!”
“That’s the whole textbook. And the next!” Yasuhiro raised his voice in distress.
“I’ll study with Leon,” Byakuya began to make groups out of their English class, “Celesetia with (Y/n), and Taka with Yasuhiro.”
“Hold on!’ Taka stood up at the table. “Celestia should work with Yasuhiro.”
“What! Ah, uh,” Celestia’s hands covered her mouth quickly as she winced at her voice, “pardon me.
“And why’s that?” Byakuya asked.
“She would work with Yasuhiro much better. I-”
“What, you talk too smart for me?” Yasuhiro asked. “Well, so does Celestia,” he smirked.
“And (Y/n) would work with you, I assume?” Byakuya asked. Taka nodded promptly as Byakuya let out a smirk.
“Alright, alright. Celestia and Yasuhiro, Taka and (Y/n).” Byakuya nodded as Celestia bit her lip and rolled her eyes before turning to Yasuhiro. They split up in their groups to different tables, taking out their books and notes as they discussed The Scarlet Letter.
“Who’s Pearl’s father?”
“Reverend Dimmesdale.” (Y/n) answered, staring into his eyes so he knew she wasn’t looking at the notes. “I don’t know how much I need help on this. I mean, I reread it at least three times.”
“Are you sure you don’t have any more questions?” (Y/n) swayed her head back and forth, biting her lower lip ever so slightly. Taka raised his eyebrow to show her to go on.
“So, I know it’s a more subjective question, but do you think Hester ever truly loved Chillingworth?”
“He stated that he felt no love.” Taka recited the line with a murmur, remembering the scene.
“Well, yes, but do you think he was lying? He thought no one could love him for his deformity but do you think he still felt love?”
“In chapter fourteen Hester reveals her hatred for him,” he skimmed his notes and bit his bottom lip slightly.
“But ever?”
“That’s too broad, I. I’m not sure if ever, but we can conclude at the end that she does not.” He said, staring down at his notes without glancing up.
“I believe that she did. Once, at least. I know it’s not supposed to be a romance novel but…” (Y/n) tapped her fingers on the table with a slight edge of embarrassment in her voice, “I keep analyzing it as one. Is that bad? As a student, I mean.”
“Yes- no! No,” he changed his answer quickly, “it just shows that you can view it differently.”
“Ah, ok. I hope our teacher thinks that way as well.” (Y/n) clicked her tongue and laughed slightly as Taka smiled brightly and laughed loudly. Byakuya glanced back and smiled before shaking his head.
“I think I’m gonna ace this test,” Leon kicked his feet on the table, “so I’m done. ‘Hiro?”
“I’m good!” He called to his friend as Celestia shook her head. “(Y/n)?”
“Hopefully good!” She answered. “Are we ready to group up again?” Taka’s eyes widened as everyone went together again, gripping his pencil slightly. The group dismantled their study group, ready to go home.
“(Y/n)!” Taka stopped her from leaving by pulling her close, “Are you sure you don’t have any more questions?”
“I don’t think so. Actually,” she turned around back to the cafe, “do you wanna get coffee? I mean, we came here and didn’t get anything. So?”
“Absolutely! Coffee is a great stimulant and energizer!”
“And it tastes amazing,” (Y/n) murmured as she got in line, Taka excitedly next to her.
The next day, Taka went straight to his friends’ house, confused and, slightly, annoyed at the inconvenience he faced.
“What’s the problem?” Mondo brought his friend in quickly as they sat on his couch.
“(Y/n)!” Taka threw his hands on his knees in frustration.
“The hot girl in your literature class?” Mondo asked.
“Ye- Don’t say that! (Y/n) is a respectable woman who always-”
“You got a crush?” Mondo asked, watching his friend go blank and blushing.
“It’s not romantic, I swear,” he stood up, rigid as ever, and looked straight down, not wanting to face his friend.
“Bro, I'm pretty sure your head’s exploding.”
“No it’s not! I’m just not- I’m not ready for- I want her to be near but not to come here.”
“Breathe, bro.” He tried to relax him as Taka gasped for air, both metaphorically and literally. “Go flirt with her.”
“That’s completely inappropriate for our relationship as respectable classmates!”
“Then don’t be just classmates. Flirt with her.”
“How?”
“I dunno, when you study get personal, tell her you like her hair.” Mondo leaned in, “her eyes. Actually, tell her you like ALL her parts.”
“I absolutely CANNOT say that!”
“Ok, ok, bro! Just tell her she’s pretty. She dances right?” Taka nodded in agreement, “ask her to teach you how.”
Taka smiled and gratefully thanked his bro, running out to find (Y/n) at the studio practicing. As he entered the doors, he was stopped by Byakuya.
“I know you’re secret.” He stared down Taka, smirking with satisfaction.
“I keep no secrets from my classmates.”
“Maybe you just haven’t come to terms. You like (Y/n).”
“Why are you here? You don’t dance- maybe you’re the one who likes (Y/n).” Taka accused the blonde.
“We have a duet. What, did you think I didn’t also possess the talent of dancing? Go on, ask her to teach you. Let’s hope she doesn’t ask why you came ALL this way just for a lesson you could find online.”
Taka froze rigid as Byakuya opened the door to reveal (Y/n) practicing her ballet routine. Byakuya chuckled quietly before pushing Taka into the room and closing the door. (Y/n) turned around slowly, smiling as she locked eyes with her friend.
“Taka, what are you doing here?”
“I- uh- came to learn how to dance. I was hoping you could teach me how, since you’re so good.” Taka tried to incorporate Mondo’s flirting advice into their conversation. “You’re dancing is absolutely beautiful and graceful.”
“Aha, thank you. You wanted to learn how to dance? How about the waltz?” She walked up and instructed his hands on her, closing the gap between them. She began with their footwork, feeling him stumble slightly as she caught him. She tightened her grip on his back and brought him up, closer than before. He could feel her breath on his neck as she closed in, slowing the waltz so it was more romantic than a lesson. He felt his face flush from the contact while her hands rubbed her fingers on his skin.
Was she flirting with him back?
“No! I- Don’t teach me how to dance!” Taka pushed her away suddenly, feeling her slip from his arms and onto the ground.
“Taka?”
“Even though I think about you day and night, this ‘love’ thing isn’t right, I-”
“Taka, what?”
“I can’t even study-”
“Taka,” she stood up and placed her hands on his shoulders, staring him down. “What are you talking about? I mean, who are you...”
“YOU!” The distressed fool placed his hand over his chest as his cheeks rose to a heavy blush.
“You,” she took a pause to take a deep breath filled with fluster, “like me?”
“I apologize, I should have done this more properly. I, Kiyotaka Ishimaru, have feelings for you. And I could not focus on my studies until I properly told you. Thank you,” he turned around and began to walk out of the gym as (Y/n) ran after him.
“Wait!” She reached out and grabbed his arm, pulling him back, “Taka, I like you too.”

Training wheels
Spencer Reid x Gender Neutral Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Years later after Spencer teaches Reader to drive even though he hates driving, Reader becomes good enough to ride a motorcycle they get him to come along on a ride.
A/N: hey heyyyy- this is my seventeenth fic for my 30 fics in 30 days for April! This fic is based on this request- which I decided to make smutty instead of full on smut so I could make it a bit more fluffy. Disclaimer- I know nothing about motorcycles and I can’t even drive lol so sorry for the lack of terminology. This ended up being gender neutral- I checked it over for the correct pronouns a few time but I could have missed something- please let me know if so! Feel free to give me your response by sending something to my inbox here. Thanks for reading and hope y’all enjoy.
Warnings: 18+- (if you are found to be violating this I will tell writers who you are), no full on smut- in the smutty/spicy category, a bit of grinding, implications about having sex in the future, In public sexual teasing (who’s fucking surprised), hints at Sub!Spencer, A few swear words
Main Masterlist Word Count: 2.0k
Spencer hated driving. He always shook whenever he couldn’t stop the racing thoughts about the dangers of moving vehicles. He knew he was a good driver, but it was easier for him to trust the metro which stayed on its tracks (most of the time). A car with no rigid path and with so many variables just made Spencer’s mind race too much.
You were the only person that could get him to get into a car, without any sort of coercion. At his job he had accepted it as a reality of his situation; there was no way that he could get around it. He agreed to teach you how to drive to your job, which happened to be where you had met him. You ran a small thrift store just walking distance from your apartment. There had been no need to drive anywhere, until you opened up another branch on the other side of town.
You had met Spencer there, he had come in at night, just before close. He shopped around for a few sweater vests and cardigans until you had told him that you needed to close. His mumbled apology had been so cute you remember it to this day.
When he noticed that you walked home in the same direction as his, he offered to keep you company. At first you thought he had done it out of guilt since he made you stay late, until you realized he liked your presence. It was not a romantic relationship (not yet at least), you both didn’t kiss or anything, but you did love to tease him.
He cared about you, and you about him, which is why he eagerly offered to teach you to drive when you mentioned that you were scared to learn with an instructor. You preferred to be taught by someone who you knew and knew was a good driver. Spencer was just that, even with jittery fingers and tapping feet.
Since then you had become a great driver, good enough that you felt confident indulging in one of your dreams. You had always wanted a motorcycle, the wind blowing in your face and the freeing quality it had, had always made you desire one. Despite Spencer’s protests about the potential for even more safety hazards than a car you still indulged your dream, confident in your skills that Spencer had laid the foundation with his excellent teaching skills even while slightly fearful.
You had taken to it like a fish to water, it had been even easier than when you had Spencer teach you. Now it was the time to show the master how the apprentice approved, though you highly doubted Spencer liked to be called a master at driving. More like a teacher, a nervous one.
It did take some convincing for him to agree to ride on your motorcycle with you.Somehow, through gentle persuasion throughout the last few months, you had done it. He had prefaced it saying that it would be the only time it would ever happen, and you made it your goal to change his opinion. You highly doubted he’d ever want to drive it, which was fair considering he couldn’t stop the thoughts of statistics about safety in his head. You hoped though, that maybe he’d like riding with you.
“Is it safe?” Was his first question as soon as he arrived at your small thrift store you owned, jittery with nerves.
“Well- hello to you too.” You sassed cocking your hip to the side while holding your helmet in the small of your waist. He blushed bashfully, then finally said hello before you assured him, “I wouldn’t be bringing you if it wasn’t safe- I wouldn’t be driving it if it wasn’t safe.”
“Ok- I trust you.” He relaxed a little, though he was obviously still nervous.
To cheer him up a little you pivoted the conversation onto a more jovial topic, “Will you wear a leather jacket?”
“Maybe next time- if you convince me to get on the death trap again.” It was rare to see Spencer tease you back, but you thoroughly enjoyed it.
Quipping back you said, “Maybe I could get you to drive it too”
“I think I’d need training wheels for that.” A snort came out of you at that; it was funny imagining Spencer riding a motorcycle with bicycle training wheels.
“That would be a sight to see.” You swung your leg on to mount the vehicle, ready to take him on a spin. You then prompted him while getting your helmet on, “Come on pretty boy, let’s do this- and get that helmet on.”
He was a little nervous just going by the shaking in his palms, but he still put the helmet on and climbed on- albeit a bit awkwardly.
He wrapped his hands around your waist snugly when you roared the motorcycle to life. Whenever you had to break he clenched tighter, maybe not enough to leave bruises, but enough that it would be implanted in your memory for a good long while. You couldn’t see him, but you could feel him.
You could tell he had slowly relaxed a little bit more even while keeping a strong grip on you as you made your looped path charted out in your head. Starting at your store and ending at your store, it was longer than maybe it should have been, considering Spencer’s grip on you had made your arousal spark to life.
You soon realized you weren’t the only one enjoying this, feeling something slightly stiff as Spencer shifted slightly at a red light. Oh, he was enjoying it. His cock confined in his pants was growing harder as the journey progressed.
“Did you have fun?” You questioned just as you pulled back into where you started, even though you already knew he did.
He squeaked out a measly, “Yeah!”
You smirked again, out of sight from his face. Biting your inner cheek in thought, you contemplated whether or not to act on it. It would be so easy to just swivel your hips and begin to grind down on his erection that had been pressing into you during the whole ride.
Fuck it, this might be one of your only chances to make a move. You tilted your hips just a smidge, leaning back just a little into him. You heard a hitch in his breath, his hands he had around you tightening back around you, pulling you in closer.
He whimpered when you sat back a little more, testing the waters just a little further. When he himself rolled his own hips once you had to ask, “Do you want me to keep going, Spencer? Do you want this?”
His helmeted head dropped into the crook of your neck, nodding into it as he began to rock into you a little. You gripped around the handles that you were still holding, all you had done was break so far. You were both in broad daylight perched on top of the vehicle. Turning your head as much as you could when you realized he hadn’t verbally responded you prompted sharply, “I need you to speak up, pretty boy. Do you want this?”
“Yes!” He gasped quickly at your prompt.
You then ground yourself back onto his bulge, rotating yourself slowly to feel the torturous friction. The fact that your bottom halves were still clothed only made it even more devastating. No one was around as it was the weekend, when you weren’t open and no one was really around. You still tried to stifle any noises you were tempted to make as his own hips started to undulate into your own.
A person could round the corner and immediately see two people grinding like teenagers onto each other. You both may have been completely closed, but it was quite obvious what you were both doing.
The extra friction you were getting was building a burning orgasm in you, the noises you had been trying to hold back were too hard to stifle. A moan came out of your mouth when Spencer moved down his hands from your waist to the outside of your hips, pulling you down on him with even more ferocity.
When his phone then began to ring you both let out a groan, your hips stopping any movement you had been making over his hard bulge. He reluctantly pulled out his ringing and buzzing ancient phone. Which you would normally find endearing that he carried around somewhat arcane technology, but your weaning arousal was wanting you to smash it on the ground.
“Hello? Hotch?” You groaned, knowing exactly what this meant. There was no way this was going to go further tonight, Hotch wasn’t calling him on the weekend just for paperwork. He was about to leave for a case.
You ripped your helmet off of your head out of frustration while he continued to talk. Grumbling while wiping the sweat that had started to accumulate, Spencer chattering away quickly at Hotch telling him he’ll be there in about ten minutes.
When he got off the phone he began to stammer in apology, this was the only time I’d ever want to cut him off, “There’s no need to apologize- go catch a bad guy.”
“Thank you- and thanks for-r the ride and- um the other thing… I’ve got to go now, I’ll uh- talk to you later.” He then awkwardly shuffled off, trying to conceal his obvious bulge even though you were the only one around to see it.
When he got into his car, you were happy he had brought it for once. You wouldn’t have let him walk all the way to his office from here, and you would have had to drive him with his bulge pressing into your ass again.
“I’m gonna need a cold shower.” You added, mumbled underneath your back as you put your helmet back on, ready to drive back to your apartment to hopefully freeze your frustration away.
—-
The next time you saw him- about a week later, a little blush immediately graced his cheeks, probably thinking about what happened last time. You kissed his cheek and felt how hot they had gotten just by being in his presence. He was here again, early this time, ready for you to open up your shop for the day.
“You’ve got to wait 30 minutes until you can buy something, I don’t open till then,” You then flashed a smirk towards him, he might die from being overheated if you kept teasing him. Still, you continued to do it, “Can’t be seen to show you any favors, pretty boy. Then everyone would want one.” As soon as the keys turned to unlock you didn’t open the door right away, instead turning back to face him. He fidgeted even more underneath your direct gaze, also averting his eyes. You let go of your hold on the keys, bit your lip and added, “Though, I think you’d be the only one I’d want to be my favorite.
He stuttered a bit at that, before changing the subject, “Um- I came here to actually thank you for last week… I had a lot of fun.”
You then cocked your head to the side in question, “Didn’t you already thank me last time?”
“Yeah.” He responded meekly, clearing his throat a few times while he collected his thoughts. “Can we finish what we started?”
You beamed, as it had been exactly what you were hoping for. You made your way back over to him, this time to pull him by the front of his shirt to press a steaming kiss to his lips. He moaned, letting your tongue run over his teeth a few times before you deepened it further. You were panting by the time you released him, but worked through the gasping breaths to answer verbally now, “Of course- come inside with me. If you won’t go on another ride with me after this while wearing a leather jacket, I’ve got a leather jacket you can wear while I ride you.”

You closed your eyes rubbing them to sooth the dryness. You had a long day and getting anything through your thick skull was turning out to be a challenge.
Of course it would. You were never an amazing student. You just studied the night before the exam and cramped whatever you could, writing what you remember on the test the next day. And yeah it wasn’t the most ideal way to study but it had worked so far for you. You got by alright.
It was more of all the shitty professors you’ve ever had than your fault. None of them could ever get you really interested in their subjects. They either didn’t care enough or only knew how to abuse their power.
But then he walked into your class. He was pretty enough to be a model or an actor. You just assumed he was someone famous. You felt as if you’ve met him before, as if you’ve known him your whole life. You were shocked to hear he was your new criminology professor, along with being a DA. Which has to be a demanding job.
It was impossible to not listen to him when he spoke, his voice so smooth like honey, carrying hints of a Boston accent he let slip whenever he got too passionate, which was quiet often.
He had broad shoulders and thick biceps he hit under those expensive suits and dress shirts. But it was more than that. He acted as if he cared. About his students, about the things he was teaching you. He always encouraged questions and helped everyone with their doubts. He had you on the edge of your seat with every word he said.
He even knew all the students by their names. Well... everyone except you.
You never interacted much in your classes, too afraid to make a fool of yourself in front of your dream man. So you had decided to buckle down and study as much as you can so you can finally raise your hand when he asked a question. How amazing it would be to hear him say ‘Good job' to you.
Maybe it isn’t classy to harbor such sinful thoughts about your professor. But the way his pants stretched over his round butt, hugging his long legs and creasing as he leaned against the edge of his table, his thick dark beard framing his face so perfectly, was just so mesmerizing. He was sex on legs. Were you really to blame here?
You had made sure to get to class ten minutes early so you could sit on the first bench. To get a close up look at the show. He was talking about something, you couldn’t really focus on. Your eyes stuck to his crotch, and how you could clearly see the imprint of his...
“Shit” You whispered as you heard him call out your surname, suddenly realising that he had his eyes on you.
“What do you think?” He asked.
“Wh – I – don’t really think a lot.” You stammered “I’m sorry what was the question?” You cringed at yourself.
“Try to pay attention next time.” He scolded you as you cowered under his intense gaze, his lips set in a hard line as he went back to addressing the whole class and resuming his lecture.
He didn’t even spare a look at you the rest of the class. You had to keep your tears at bay. It would’ve been better if you were invisible to him. Anything would be better than being publicly humiliated like that.
You decided then and there that you don’t like him. Sure you weren’t paying attention but how dare he point that out? He would never do that to anyone else. What the fuck did he have against you.
Nope. You were going to hate him now and bear him till the end of the semester. But then, all your resolve went out the window as soon as he turned around to write something on the board, giving everyone a nice view of his 'cute bubble butt'. At least that’s what you heard someone else call it. Although the kind of feelings it gave you were anything but cute.
After two long torturous hours the class was dismissed. You scrambled to pack up your bag. You were about to leave your, but body stopped of its own accord when you heard him call out your surname again. Sending shivers down your spine. You took a deep breathe turning around to look at him, your mouth suddenly dry and your hands clammy and sweaty.
“Yes professor Barber?” You asked as you stood a few feet away from him, staring at his shoes as if they were the most interesting thing you’ve ever seen. You could not look at his face. You would melt on spot and make an idiot of yourself, again.
You cursed as he walked towards you standing just in front. You had never been so close to him before, you could smell his musky cologne, feel his hot breath on your forehead.
“Don’t you think it’s rude to not look at your professor when speaking to him?” He asked cocking his head.
He couldn’t but feel proud and satisfied as you complied so easily, looking up at him. The tip of your tongue peaked out to lick your lip before your lower lip was caught in your teeth as you chewed harshly on it. A very distracting habit of yours. He really had to resist the urge to groan.
He wondered if you knew you were so cruelly teasing him or if you were as oblivious as you seemed to be.
He was excited when he was offered a position to be a teacher, a chance to shape young minds. To make a larger difference in the world. He stayed up all night preparing for his first lecture. He was always thorough with his work. He had made up his mind to do his best and be a good teacher.
But he knew he was ruined as soon as his eyes landed on you.
He wasn’t one for making friends. Always having trouble trusting people. Especially in his profession. It wasn’t that he was shy. He hated small talk and just didn’t have a lot to say, unless he was in a courtroom, even if he did he wasn’t always sure how he should say it.
But when he and his colleagues had a win on a particularly hard case, bringing down a huge mob after working tirelessly for over 3 months, he agreed to go out for drinks to celebrate. He did need to wind down a bit. When he wasn’t at the office he was at home either working or sleeping.
He was sitting on the bar stool with Henry the paralegal he had come to like the guy. He had been a huge help with the case. Henry was going on about his daughters biology project when Andy felt a tap on his shoulder he looked over his shoulder before turning around to get a proper you.
There you stood, leaning against the bar with a dopey grin on your face. He couldn’t help but do you a once over, looking you up and down, you were wearing a hot pink dress that hugged your waist before flaring over your hips. He smiled at your cute kitten heels with small white bows on them. You looked so beautiful, your hair tied up in a high ponytail as curls framed your sweet face.
“Hello mister businessman mister!” You giggled before covering your mouth as you let out a hiccup. “Oops excuse me.”
“I’m not a businessman.” He smiled shaking his head.
“Well you sure do look like one!” you laughed weakly punching his bicep “Oh my gosh” You gulped pressing his bicep in your palm “You must work out.”
“I dabble here and there.” He said waving it off as if it wasn’t a big deal “Can I buy you a drink? Are you old enough to be here?” He wondered.
“I’ll have you know I’m more than old enough” You said proudly. Normally, he would never even consider flirting with someone who looked so young, but for some reason he just couldn’t stop. “Yes I will have a drink. Wait no! No I won’t!” You gasped.
“That’s probably a good idea. You seemed to have had plenty. How about a coffee?” He offered.
“Nope I’m fine. I’m here for my friend Stacey. She likes you.” You drawled out moving your hips side to side dancing to a tune stuck in your head.
“And you don’t like me?” He pouted.
“Noooo” You whined cupping his beard in your hands. He kept pouting to milk some more sympathy from you but was completely taken aback when you pressed your soft cushiony lips over his. You pulled back staring into his eyes and said “I like you a lot! But sisters before misters you know. I couldn’t do that to my friend.” And now you were the one pouting.
He heard Henry clear his throat behind him “I’ll just go on home then. See you tomorrow man.” Andy couldn’t be bothered to turn around to say goodbye, his eyes completely focused on you.
“Oh no your friend left. Whatever you’re going home with Stacey anyway.” You looked around for your friend “Where is she? Oh no! She’s not here.”
Andy frowned looking around the bar with you “Don’t worry she must be in the bathroom or something. Why don’t you try calling her?”
You whipped out your phone from your bag. Your lips starting quivering and eyes turned glossy as you looked at it. “Hey what happened?” His instincts screaming at him to sooth your panic state. He just ran his hand up and down your forearm, there wasn’t much else he could do without seeming like a creep.
“My friend left! She said she went home with a wall street guy. Left me all alone.”
He frowned at that. “Your friend doesn’t deserve you.” He stated as if he knew you. He didn’t but he knew how loyal you were to your friend when you turned him down. Who would abandon such a sweet thing like you?
“And we were gonna go to dinner and everything.” You sniffled “I’ll have to walk home now.”
“No you won’t.” He blurted clenching his jaw. He knew just how bad men could be. He would never let a clearly inebriated woman go home alone.
Sure in any other case he would’ve called or even paid for an taxi. But he couldn’t say goodbye to you just yet. So he offered to take you home. And with some convincing you agreed.
He secured you into the passenger seat before putting your address in the GPS. He found himself laughing more than he ever had at your incoherent drunken ramblings.
“Do you believe in aliens?” Before he could even answer you continued “What if this is all just a simulation. By aliens. Like what if we’re in a tv show. That’d be awesome.” You leaned against the window, closing your eyes.
“Are you this funny when you’re sober?” He wanted to know. Although he had an inkling that you definitely would be.
“Yes I am! But my friends tell me I talk too much.” You said scrunching up your nose.
“I could listen to you talk all night. But I think we’re here.” He said parking across a building. “is this it?”
“Yeah” You nodded. “You’re right dude. They don’t deserve me.”
“Don’t call me dude.” He grumbled. You call your friends ‘dude’. And he had no intentions of being just a friend to you.
“Fine dude” You chuckled. “Do you have a pen?” You asked.
“Uh I think” He felt his pockets and then pulled out a fountain pen he always carried around with him.
You took it from him and shook your head. “You business men and your pens” You snatched his arm and started writing something on his palm.
“I keep telling you I’m not a business man.” He argued.
His heart swelled with giddiness as he saw you write down numbers on his open palm.
“Call me if you wanna hear me talk some more, ‘night.” You struggled to open the door before stumbling out. He made sure you got inside your building safely before he entered your number in his phone. He didn’t ask your name, too caught up in your rant about women’s jeans not having pockets. So he just saved it as ‘pink lady’.
He was so excited to hear from you again that he called you the next morning. Only you had given him the wrong number. He didn’t know if it was a mistake or if you had just lead him on. He considered maybe ‘accidentally’ bumping into you near your apartment. But then he saw you. In his class, as his student.
You didn’t seem to remember him but obviously had a crush on him. You weren’t such a confident talker without the influence of alcohol, the one time he asked you what your name was you just replied with ‘I’ve never had one.’ Which was adorable but also infuriating.
Was he so damn forgettable? How did you manage to do such a number on him, so much so that you haunted his wet dreams, but you had completely forgotten about him and the whole encounter. Going about your merry life, your mind not plagued with such unprofessional and unethical thoughts.
He wanted to know you. To hear you ramble some more or be awkward. Literally anything but the cold shoulder you were giving him. So he did a bad thing. He called you out when you were clearly too busy ogling him. He revelled in the sick pleasure he got from embarrassing you.
“Why don’t we go talk in my office?” He suggested and collected his books without waiting for your answer. You both made your way over to his office, you following a few steps behind him. “After you.” He said as he held the door open for you.
He locked the little latch as he closed the door, instructing you to take a seat. He wasn’t sure why he had called you over. It wasn’t like he could actually act on his feelings. Or ask you if you remembered him at all. It would be out of the question. He would get fired from the university, his reputation would be tarnished.
He took a seat at his desk shuffling through the papers in his drawer and brought one out on the desk.
He felt his cock twitch in his pants as he took in your demure state. How you had made yourself so small across him. He decided then. He couldn’t possibly not do anything about his feelings. Once his mind was set on something he HAS to have it.
Every fibre of his being was screaming at him to simply bend you over the desk and take you in the most primal way possible. But he could wait. In just a few months you would graduate and he would ask you out. There was a possibility that you would turn him down. Again. But he’d take his chances and get what he wanted. He always did.
“Your grades aren’t doing so well Miss L/N” He said passing the paper over to you. “It’s a C. You barely passed. If you don’t get a B or up in your next exam you won’t pass my class.” As much as he loved seeing you everyday he needed you to graduate so he could have his way with you.
“Oh” You let out as you looked at the test.
“That’s all you have to say? What’s wrong? Do you not understand my teaching?” To which you shook your head no “Maybe you should focus on your studies before going to clubs and getting drunk.” He spit leaning back in his chair. He knew he was being harsh, but he also knew that you needed some tough love.
“I – clubs?” You looked up at him and frowned “I don’t go to clubs! How would you know anyway?”
“Oh so you don’t remember.” He sneered not taking too kindly to being forgotten so easily. “January’s last Thursday. You were wearing a pink dress.”
You looked as if you were in deep thought before your eyes widened almost popping out of their sockets. “Oh my god! You’re that business man!” You gasped.
“Listen closely. Because I won’t say it again. I’m not a business man. I’m a district attorney and your professor.” He said sternly as he threw his head back loosening his tie so frustrated with you. He’d have to be patient. Something he very obviously wasn’t. It’s alright. You were worth waiting for.
“Sorry” You mumbled half heartedly. You knew you remembered him from somewhere. You thought you had dreamt of meeting a handsome and charming business man. Apparently you were wrong. “Why am I here professor Barber?” You asked.
“I told you. You need to get your grades up.”
“Yeah but I’m sure many other students must’ve gotten a C or lower as well. Why are you so concerned with me? What’s so special about me?” You spit with an accusatory tone.
“I care about all my students.” It wasn’t a lie. He did. He just cared about you a little bit more.
“Uh – huh. Then why did you lock the door?”
“I didn’t want anyone to disturb us.” He cleared his throat as he sat up straight in his seat.
“Sure.” You rolled your eyes.
“Don’t roll your eyes at me.”
“Why? What are you gonna do about it?” You asked before exaggeratedly rolling them again.
He scoffed “You’re such a brat.” He shook his head. “I’ll have you straightened up in less than a week when you’re mine.”
You hummed at that. “In your dreams old man.”
“You’ll see sweetheart. I just have to wait till June.”
“Well how about you can have a little taste now? I can give you something if you can change my grade.” You offered biting your lips again.
He groaned at the tempting offer and sight “There’s nothing you can give me that will change my mind.”
“Isn’t there?” You got up and walked around the desk to him, exaggeratedly swaying your hips.
He moved in his chair to look at you kneeling between his legs. Rubbing your hands on his thighs.
“I’m sure I can change your mind.” You said confidently as you undid his buckle and pulled down his zipper.
“I doubt it.” A thought of maybe stopping you as you took his hard cock out of his briefs came to him. But then you looked at his length with such awe, as if you were admiring it.
“You like it?” He smirked.
You could only nod your head and try your best to not drool. “It’s the most beautiful dick I’ve ever seen.” You admitted. It was also the biggest, his rosy mushroom head slippery with precum, couple of blue veins adorning his thick shaft. You could wait to suck the life out of him.
“How many dicks have you seen?” He frowned. He didn’t really liking you thinking about anyone else’s dick, not when his was right in front of you. “Never mind. Finish what you started.” His impatience took over him as he pushed your head down, forcing you to open your mouth and swallow him whole. He moaned at the feeling of your warm wet mouth wrapped around him. “Relax your throat.” He ordered as he pushed deeper into you.
Sighing deeply as his tip hit the back of your throat, groaning as you choked around him before swallowing. “That’s it good girl.” He praised caressing your jaw. Rubbing away the tears cascading down your cheeks.
He pulled some papers out of his bag as your raised your brows at him. “I need to get some work done sweetheart.” He shifted his hips to sit back on his chair. “How about you keep me warm till then?” He said as you whined “What? Do you have other plans?”
You shook your head as he muttered a “Good” And started going through his paperwork. “You can swallow honey. But that’s all you can do. Don’t you dare move.” He warned.
It was proving to be quiet a task. He couldn’t really focus on anything but your mouth and how he wanted to just fuck it and you stupid. But he was teaching you a lesson. He had to wait a while before he came down your throat. Besides this would give him an opportunity to really savor the feel of you.
You laid your head on his thigh as he flipped through his papers for the next half an hour. Suckling here and there to not mess up his pants. When you realised that he might be interested in you, even just a little. You hoped he would just take you, make your dreams come true. You had no idea what the fuck this shit about waiting was. But you were too afraid to say no to him.
He haphazardly put down his pen. Releasing a shaky breath he finally took hold of your head. Rolling his hips a little, he pulled his length out and pushed it back in. Setting a slow and steady pace, knowing that he’d come all too soon.
You moaned as his hand went down to cup your breast fondling it so gently. He lost it as he felt the little vibrations “Do it again” He demanded as you moaned around his length. He held onto the back of your throat driving his hips up a couple of times before spilling in your throat. “Swallow it all.” He ordered as he pulled out of your mouth with a loud ‘pop’.
He groaned as he as your throat swallow a gulp “Clean me up. I have to go to work.” He pushed his tip against your lips as your tongue peaked out and licked what you couldn’t swallow and your spit off of him. You gave his tip a last kiss before tucking him back in his pants.
You stood up on wobbly feet, straightening the wrinkles in your dress. You went over to your chair cleaning your mouth up with a hanky Professor offered. “So you’ll change my grade now?” You pushed your test towards him.
He laughed “We never agreed to that sweetheart.”
“But I – but we – but I just!”
He shushed you putting his papers back in his bag “That would be unethical. You’ll be coming to my house for lessons. We have to make sure you graduate. Are you free tonight?” He looked up as you nodded “Good. Then we’ll decide if you’re worthy of a reward.” He pulled his laptop bag over his shoulder as he walked towards the door, unlatching it and holding it open for you. “I’ll see you tonight sweetheart.”

Trope meme for Steggy 48. Fake dating and 60. Poorly timed confession
This is...whatever my brain came up with.
“Are you alone?”
Steve looked up from where he was sketching in the notebook, running a hand through his hair. He knew her - the bright-eyed woman above him. She looked stunning with her hair perfectly pinned to mimic Victorian Curls and bright red lips. Her hazel eyes looked to be searching his, almost frantic and nervous. He could see how she struggled not to look behind her.
He did for her, seeing a bunch of frat boys from their classes clambering around the front entrance to the diner. A nasty feeling in his gut told him they were also around back.
She spoke without moving her lips too much, holding onto her jacket like she might take a seat and Steve could easily put the two and two together. They thought she was meeting him here and on the off chance she wasn’t, they were going to pounce.
They were waiting for her to exit and while Peggy was amazing in the classroom with her snappy comebacks and sass and putting the sexist pigs in their place, there was no way she could fight off the five, if not more, boys waiting for her.
And he knew she could throw a punch after watching her sock Hodge, the leader of this group, in the face after a nasty comment and accidentally caught an elbow in his gut when he was behind her in the library.
She was still waiting for an answer, her face carefully poised.
“I-no, I mean…” He flinched at his own words and Peggy gave a small laugh. “I mean, yes I am. I’m here alone. Here.”
He helped her sit down, feeling how shaken she was under his fingertips and waving to the waitress. Angie instantly came by, putting down a few drinks and a basket of fries and winking at Steve as she left.
“I-didn’t, I wouldn’t ever order for you, I mean…” Peggy’s brow rose and Steve swallowed slightly. “I just...she just did that.”
Peggy laughed again, sounding more relieved this time as she picked up a fry and bit into it. “Angie is just like that. Always insisting she’s miss matchmaker. You’re Steve, right? From my history and French class?”
“Yeah, and just about any other time I’m in the library. Are you alright? What the hell are those guys doing outside?”
They were still waiting, passing a bottle back and forth, still glaring at the window. He got an icky, nasty feeling as he looked out at them.
“Being douchebags,” she huffed. “Hodge, it seems doesn’t like that I scored higher than him in our last test in History nor does he like it that I socked him in the face after that nasty comment about my brother. I’m surprised I didn’t get expelled for that one.”
She seemed to eye the way Steve’s ears turned a shade of pink but didn’t say anything as he picked up a fry and twirled it around his fingers.
“I’ve been hearing them talk all week about it. He’s in my biology class too, unfortunately. Dumb as a sack of rocks, that one. He has some pretty transphobic views too.”
She snorted and rolled her eyes. “Unsurprisingly. I wonder how the hell he even got into the university in the first place.”
“Oh, his dad donates a hell of a lot to the college and bribed the board members.” Realizing how sure of himself he sounded, Steve cleared his throat. “Or so I’ve heard. So, Hodge is pissed about that so he decided to what? Track you down?”
“So to speak, yes. He wanted to show me a lesson. In what a sexist asshole he is, then that’s already done. I ran to the first public place I saw and saw you sitting here, I hope that’s okay. I’m not ruining anything am I?”
She sounded generally concerned and Steve had to force himself to put down his drink to meet her eyes. Under his yellow light, he could make out the hints of gold reflecting in them. “No, no. I was just wasting time. I didn’t feel like being by myself in the dorm while Sam and Bucky are on their date. Plus, Angie is good company. Sometimes.”
“I heard that!”
Steve and Peggy both laughed at the shout from the kitchen.
--
It was close to two in the morning by the time the pair had decided to leave. Steve hadn’t even noticed how their hands were joined together, having reached for the same salt shaker. They’d never pulled them apart.
They had talked about everything from classes, to how Professor Coulson was heard to be the worst and best teacher, their families, even if Steve was reluctant on his.
And the guys still waited, growing increasingly impatient and nasty in their looks.
It didn’t surprise Steve when the door kicked open and a very drunk Hodge stood there. Peggy stood up instantly, half shoving Steve behind her.
“Carte-r-r-r-” He stumbled a few steps and stood face-to-face with her and Steve had to give Peggy props, she didn’t even flinch as he burped. “I got a b-bone to pick with you!”
The second he went to touch her, Steve jumped to his feet and shoved Hodge back, sending him tumbling back. Somehow the broad bastard kept his balance.
“You lil’ scrimp!” The man was yelling now, charging after Steve until he sidestepped the idiot and it sent him hitting the table head-first.
Steve snorted.
“What? You two datin’ now?” He glared between Peggy and Steve like they were nothing but dog shit under his boot. “Always knew you liked wimpy guys, that why you never went out with me, Carter?”
Peggy huffed. “I never went out with you, Hodge because you’re an arrogant, sexist pig who can’t count down from ten without being confused. Or answer a basic question. How you tie your shoes together, I’m unsure. And for your information yes we are.”
She pulled Steve in by his shoulders, laying a swift kiss on his temple.
“You ain’t gonna get high grades that way, Carter! Suckin’ the dick of the dean of the college’s kid!”
“You’re the dean’s kid?” Peggy had spun around to look at Steve, ignoring Hodge when he stumbled back to them.
Steve could feel his face heating up and nod. “Yeah, uh, Chester Phillips is my step-dad and he hates this son of a bitch here.”
“Only bitch I see is you!” Hodge went to snarl at Steve, any advancements he made were blocked off by Peggy’s fist to his throat. It dropped him down fast.
The guy was wheezing and Steve couldn’t even feel bad, even as flashing blue lights indicated Angie must’ve called the police. “Next time,” Angie told them as she handed Peggy a stun gun. “Use this on the bastard. He runs his mouth too much.”
--
Steve was exhausted. It was near four in the morning by the time they’d got back on campus. Hodge had been promptly for a combination of things, including assault and underage drinking, not to mention most of his crew taken with him.
They’d stayed late to help clean up the mess and give their statements, but still, Peggy hadn’t said a word about Dean Phillips being his step-dad. Even as they were walking up to her dorm.
“So,” Steve sighed as they stopped outside of her room. “I guess you don’t want to see me anymore?”
Even with the bags under her eyes, she looked beautiful, if not confused. “And why wouldn’t I, Steve? Because your step-dad is the dean of the college? Or because I told Hodge we were dating?”
His shoulders shrugged. “Both, I guess. I just…” He made a noise in the back of his throat.
“What you did tonight, standing up for me, to an idiot like Hodge was very brave and I thank you.” She smiled as she bends down to barely brush her lips over his. “As for who your step-dad is… I don’t care. I know you got in on your marks, on your smarts, as did I. Even if we were to date, it would be because I like you, not for Phillips.”
The kiss had all but frazzled his brain, catching odd ends of her sentence. “Wait - like me…? You-you, like me?”
Peggy couldn’t help the small laugh. “I have since our first group assignment together.”
Right. That was…news to him, but it made sense with the knowledge that Peggy always seemed ready to ask him something before changing the topic.
“I...I uh...would you want to...go out sometime then? A proper date.”
“Only after this gal has had some sleep. Thank you for everything, Steve. Shall we say...noon tomorrow?”

A WILD thought just crossed my head but a Cats High School Teachers AU? It would be ✨glorious✨
Just imagine!!
Jennyanydots would totally be a language teacher That's how we call it in my country lmao language and communications. It's basically grammar and literature ANYWAY that is also kind of a mother for kids who need help. She would totally and absolutely be that Miss Honey kinda Vibes™ teacher that always has a kind word for you and if she sees you crying, she will protect you with her life (And also maybe she has this huge bag filled with napkins and sweets). She's strict tho. But not in a mean way. She doesn't just gift grades, she makes you work for it. You can turn up your paper again, but it will have 300 corrections. But she will praise your efforts and help you overcome your difficulties.
Skimble gives me such Math Teacher That Always Has a Story and Rarely Actually Teaches The Class kinda vibes. His class is always on the most absolute of silence and no one ever DREAMS of pranking him. The kids knoooow that they can say "Hey, mr Skimbles I heard you were on a train once" and boom he will tell you all these stories about his time being in charge of the Northern Mail. He has told the story sooooo many times that the children once put on a play with one of the stories for Teachers Day or smtn. He was moved to tears
Demeter would absolutely be an art teacher and be the most understanding teacher ever. She's patient and kind and she will give you a day more to bring in your work if you need it. She also always has a way to find hurt kids. Coming from an abusive background herself, she's quick to act whenever she feels a child migh need any type of help. She ended up being That Teacher That Every LGBTQ+ Kid Befriends and she is proud to be helpful and provide love to those who need it. She's very close to Munk and is always helping with the props for the plays.
Bomba is a science teacher because I said so. And because she has a similar vibe to most of my science teachers when I was in school lmao. She's funny and charismatic and pretty laid back. And you never know what to expect from her. The kids love her bc she might spend some class talking all about formulas and next class is "Hey kids wanna learn how to make EXPLOSIONS??" they never actually blow up something, but she makes the lab classes the best thing.
Munkustrap is an absolute history teacher. No questions asked. The man knows how to narrate every historical moment like you were there. He has a silver tounge (pun intended). And he always tries to teach the most he can, because history is just so broad and there is so much to talk about. And he definetely would answer all the questions, even the more weird ones. He's called by kids the Protector because even when he's easly the most strict teacher ever, he would never let anyone bad mouth his students. No matter how chaotic the class was, he will always tell them that as long as they learned something, they won. He also works in the theatre departement, so the theatre kids are in love with the guy. They tried to set him up with Demeter in a play, but gave up after a half hour speech on how they shouldn't be involved in their teachers personal lifes.
Tugger is obviously a music teacher. He is that laid back, friendly and overall awesome teacher that everyone just loves. He plays any instrument you can think of and will teach you if you ask. As a joke, a whole class asked to learn the bagpipes and when next class this rockstar of a teacher appeared with a fucking bagpipe and a whole lot for the kids they fucking LOST IT. He will help you with practice and if you want to get into serious music, then he will absolutely root for you. He has a song composed for every teacher and absolutely everyone hates him for this. He's also with the theatre kids and always helps with plays maybe to mess with Munk, maybe he likes the attention. He's also in charge of music and dance presentations and he abuses his powers greatly. And everytime a class graduates he says that he doesn't really cares that much (is the circle of life, baby) but will shed silent tears everytime bc he's gonna miss the kiddies.
Misto's obviously a dance teacher. Duh. He might be an ex student for the same school. He's fresh out of college and he sometimes doesn't know what to do, but he tries really hard. And he's harsh as fuck for the same reason. He always wears a tuxedo to class and a bowtie bc he tought it was a formal thing and now it's kind of like "his thing". He's kind of cold at first and doesn't talk really that much, the kids first tought he hated them, but later found out that he just goes non verbal sometimes and designed a whole system to communicate instructions and corrections. Misto was so happy. And that's why there is a board on the classroom they use to dance. He's also one of the teachers that every LGBTQ+ kid loves, and he tries his best to support each one. And yes, every day they ask "DO THE CONJURING TURNS MR. MISTOFFELEES" and he gladly does. There was this rumor that he was magic bc once a kid saw him in a presentation out of school and they swear he sparkled out of the blue. He knows, and sometimes he would do little tricks for the kiddos for funs, and other teachers just to mess with them. He also goes to the teathre departement and it's constantly working with Tugger so the music and dance kids do presentations together. The kids ship it so hard
Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer are the best gym teachers ever. They also are very new to this, but they make class the most fun thing ever. They teach sports and gymnastics with ease. And they have no mercy on dodge ball. No. Mercy. They once were playing on the field with the kids and hit Tugger on the head. The legend says that they ran across the school for all night. The truth is that they outrun Tugger, but not Munk.
Jellylorum is the school's nurse. She always has a tecito de hierbas for you. And she will always hear you and try to get you to be better. She has infinite patience for eveyone. And she always carries pads and tampons for the kids who may need it. And if you ever need a shoulder to cry on? She's there too. She and Jenny have their officed flood on Mother's day because they are the second mothers of so many kids. She also catches up with ex-students and remember every name.
Gus is the official Theatre teacher. He is this old man who is so wise and strict, but just because he loves his craft so so much. Every year there is some kind of rumor that he might retire, but it never seemed to happen. He has a little office with so many photos and diplomas and it's just filled with memories. He is very harsh on the kids. Very. But they love him because he also can spend hours talking about his greatest performances on theatre. When he actually had to retire because he was starting to have very fragile health, everyone cried. They held a big play and he played Growltiger. No one had a dry eye that night. And he still visits the school from time to time. He goes to every play.
You might say that Old Deuteronomy is the principal and you would be very right. But this man was a teacher in his day. He taught philosophy and history and english and literature. He has more degreed that a high school teacher had to have, but he loved dearly the art of teaching. And he remembers every kid. Every morning he sits at the entrance and says to every one of them by name. He plays with the kids when his health let's him. He has a framed photo of him and Gus on their first years as teachers just along side a photo of the year Tugger joined Munkustrap on the school staff. And everyone is very sure that he might let Munkustrap take the position one day. He's also a kind soul. And will let kids tug on his beard. There was this christmas when he dressed up as santa and it was the sweetest thing ever.
Tantomille and Coricopat are philosophy teachers. They take turns doing classes and you will never know wich one taught you last class because they are in perfect sync. Their test are the most outlandish thing ever, and give points for "originality" wich is mostly just wich kid said the most weird but true thing. The kids are kinda scared of them. Just enough to not to mess up their classes.
I am not completely sure, but Alonzo being a spanish teacher just brings me so much joy. He's always teaching them songs and little games to learn spanish and the kids take total advantage of that just to mess with him. He never gets truly mad if they play a prank on him. And he's the Protector number 2 to the kids, bc he would absolutely turn up to a teachers reunion wet from head to toe and instead of tattle on the kids, he would just say it was an accident. Munk knows and always ends up catching the culprit, not always with Alonzo's help.
The Rumpus Cat is the school mascot.

In the garden would you trust me?
Summary: So, it's been a while since I've posted any writing, but the other day inspiration finally struck. I've always thought about how it would be fun to write a story inspired by the folklore love triangle and I finally came up with (hopefully) a good way to do it!
This story will be 3 parts - one part from Betty's perspective, one from August's, and one from James'.
But here's the twist - I am writing James as a girl. I know that Taylor has said that James is a teenage boy, but I'm taking a little creative liberty here. Hopefully it's well received!
So here goes nothing - part one is below!
*********
(Betty's POV)
The sound of metal clinking rings through the soft, late summer breeze. Betty squints, trying to determine what she’s actually looking at in her biology book. The bright sunlight against the glossy finish of the paper makes it nearly impossible to make out much of anything. As she strains to see the blurry image of cell, a swift wind sweeps through, whipping Betty’s papers into the air. She audibly grunts, studying outside seemed like a good idea at the time, but now she’s not sure.
Before she can think of standing up from the picnic table, a slender hand slides her papers back onto her book. Betty glances up, meeting the bluest pair of eyes she’s ever seen. The taller girl sits down opposite her, and Betty takes a moment to study her. Her wind-swept blonde hair is pulled into a loose ponytail, and her eyes glimmer almost magically back at Betty. She’s wearing an orange t-shirt with the number 8 printed in the upper right corner, the words Tigersprinted across her chest. She’s definitely a soft ball player, but shouldn’t she be over on the field across the way, with all her teammates?
“You’ve got to watch the wind when you study outside,” the girl finally speaks, a small smirk on her face, “I’m James by the way.”
“James? Isn’t that a boy’s name?” Betty replies before she can stop herself, but she quickly realizes it was a little rude, and she blushes shyly, “Also, why aren’t you on the field?”
“Well, you’re full of questions,” James chuckles, and her laugh may be the sweetest sound Betty has ever heard, “My parents wanted a boy, but they got me. So, my name is James. As far as your second question, we’re taking a break. I was walking over to the bathroom when I saw your papers take flight.”
“Sorry,” Betty says, still blushing, she can’t believe she let herself say that to a complete stranger.
“Don’t be sorry,” James replies sweetly, a hand still lying on top of her biology worksheets.
“Thank you for saving my homework,” the blonde’s hand on her work reminds her to thank the other girl.
“No problem…” James falters for a moment and lightly laughs once again, “I don’t think I got your name?”
“Betty.”
James gives her a toothy grin in return, “Betty. I like that. I don’t think I’ve seen you around before.”
“My family just moved here, I’m new to the school,” Betty explains, glad they are finally on to a new topic and her rude remarks seem to be forgotten.
“Ah gotcha,” James nods knowingly, “how do you like it so far?”
“It’s alright, everyone seems pretty friendly,” Betty looks down at her book, fidgeting with the dog-eared corners, “my classes seem ok, it’s just hard to transfer schools your junior year, you know?”
“I totally get it,” James replies, after intently listening to every word Betty spoke, “well, I know it’s hard to make friends at this stage in the game, so consider me one,” the other girl’s hand lifts off the stack of worksheets and across the table into Betty’s space.
Betty can’t help the broad smile that spreads across her face as she grasps onto James’s hand, “Thanks.”
“James!” a deep male voice strikes the calm afternoon air.
“Oh, that’s me,” James stands up and Betty quickly realizes how tall the girl is, “I’ve got to get back over there, but I’ll see you around?”
Betty nods, “Definitely!”
“Oh wait! Once more thing,” James blindly reaches for a pen off the table and grabs Betty’s hand back into hers.
Betty can’t stop her cheeks from turning a rosy pink at the feeling of ten numbers being etched onto her skin.
“That’s my phone number,” James drops her hand and the pen, before turning around to head back to the softball diamond, “you better text or call!”
“I will,” Betty replies shyly as James sprints back over to her team.
******
“Betty, Betty, BETTY!”
Betty is finally jolted back to reality. She quickly glances up from her desk, her math teacher standing over her with a worried look on her face. Betty quickly takes stock of what has just happened. The classroom is empty, there are tears staining her cheeks and the desk below her and not a single answer is written out on the test paper in front of her. This day just keeps getting better.
“I’m sorry,” she quietly mutters, grabbing the blank sheet to place it in her teacher’s hand, accepting her failure this time.
“Betty,” Ms. Davidson’s voice sounds soft and concerned, and she places the blank sheet back in front of Betty, “what’s wrong?”
The brunette shakes her head, not willing to commiserate with anyone, especially not a teacher, “Nothing.”
“It’s clearly not nothing, considering you just cried your way through the first test of the year and didn’t fill out a single answer,” she still looks overly concerned.
Betty sighs, “I just got some bad news this morning and it kind of threw me a little. I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry, I know you’re a smart girl,” Ms. Davidson replies kindly, kneeling down in front of Betty’s desk, meeting her still teary eyes, “and I don’t want you to start off the year with a 0 in my class. How about you come back during your study hall and try taking this test again?”
Betty nods enthusiastically, “Thank you Ms. Davidson. That would be great.”
Ms. Davidson stands back up and gives her a small pat on the shoulder, “Whatever that boy did, isn’t worth all these tears.”
Betty nods with a small frown…more like whatever she did, “I know.”
“I’ll see you during study hall,” she says before Betty grabs her books and heads out the door.
Betty walks briskly down the hall towards her locker, weaving in and out, around the other students. She doesn’t want to risk running into James right now, it’s not something she can handle. Not after what Inez told her this morning.
A fresh wave of tears form behind her eyes, just thinking of the terrible encounter. The bubbly, blonde gossip had been standing by her locker before she even got there. Before Betty could even put in her combination, Inez was talking a mile a minute. She didn’t gather the whole situation with how quickly the other girl was talking. She did pick up the most important part though. Apparently, James was seen out with some other girl, from a neighboring school’s softball team. They were at the local diner, sharing a sundae and according to Inez, they looked “pretty cozy”.
Betty wants so badly to not believe it, but it adds up. James has been so distant for most of the summer. They’ve only been in school for a month and Betty just chalked it up to senior year stress. It’s James’s last softball season and she knows how badly she wants to do good. Very quickly though, texts became less frequent, excuses were made when Betty asked to hang out. That’s why she’s sure it has to be true, even though Inez’s sources aren’t always that reliable.
“Betty!” the last person she wants to hear calling her name pulls her out of her thoughts.
Before James has a chance to reach her, she’s on the move, heading towards the bathroom nearest to her locker. She can sense the tall blonde behind her, but pushes past the door of the bathroom before James can catch up. Betty flies into the stall at the far end of the room, putting the toilet seat lid down and sitting. She’s tries her best to keep her tears at bay, but soon enough she sees a worn pair of converse on the floor in front of her stall.
“Go away James,” Betty says curtly, clutching her books tightly to her chest, putting all her focus on making her voice sound steady.
“Betty…please,” James’s voice sounds desperate – almost sad, a tone she’s not used to hearing from the blonde, “let me explain.”
“I think Inez did enough explaining already,” Betty can’t stop her voice from shaking this time and she knows James heard.
She hears James sigh, and her head thud lightly against the door of the stall, “Please…Betty, baby…”
“DON’T call me that,” she’s surprised by how firm her voice was that time, but something about the pet name sets her insides aflame.
A loud clatter rings through the small space and Betty sees James’s skateboard hit the floor, followed by James herself. She sits cross legged in front of the stall, Betty can only see her legs, clad in ripped blue jeans.
“I’m not leaving until you let me talk to you,” James says stubbornly, but Betty can hear the way her voice is shaking now too.
“Well then it looks like we’re both going to be here for a while, I hope you’re ok with skipping 2nd period,” Betty spits back out just as stubbornly.
“I wish I could see your face, but I guess I’ll just say my piece through the door,” James sighs once again.
Betty doesn’t want to hear what she has to say, but on the same hand, she supposes it has to happen and she’s not sure she can bear to look James in the eyes when it does. Her response is silence and James takes that as her go ahead.
“I didn’t want you to find out like that,” James says almost timidly after about 30 more seconds of silence.
The soft admittance digs the knife in so deep Betty feels like she can’t breathe for a moment, a whole new batch of hot, angry tears already pouring down her cheeks, “So it’s true.”
She can hear James sniffle and she knows that she’s crying too, “I’m so sorry Betty.”
“Why?” Betty can’t hold her emotions at bay any longer and a choked sob follows the one-word question.
“It just happened, I don’t even know,” James is floundering but not coming up with any valid reasons, “but believe me, I feel terrible. I feel so guilty, it’s been eating me alive.”
“Then why did you keep doing it?” Betty replies almost venomously, you wouldn’t know she was crying by the tone of her voice.
James’s quiet sniffles have turned into full blown sobs and Betty can barely understand her lame excuse of a response, “I don’t know.”
“Who is she?” Betty asks coldly, she has to know.
“Her name is August,” James manages to choke out, “I met her in softball this summer. She doesn’t go here.”
Betty suddenly feels so angry she can barely keep her body from shaking. She pulls at the delicate chain around her neck, a necklace James got her shortly after they started dating. Betty yanks at the little gold heart until the chains breaks free from her neck, and she tosses it under the door at the other girl.
“Obviously, you realize we’re no longer going to homecoming together this weekend right?” Betty asks dryly, her hands still shaking, she’s surprised she hasn’t dropped the books in her lap.
Betty can see James delicately grab the broken chain and pendant off the floor, followed by another small sob, “Can’t we just try and work this out?”
“How could you possibly think we can work this out, when you can’t even give me a good reason?” her voice sounds tired and sad, so very sad, exactly how she feels on the inside, Betty’s not sure she can make it through the rest of this day.
James doesn’t respond, just quietly weeps on the other side of the door. Betty has had enough, she needs to leave this bathroom – now. She stands up and smooths out the wrinkles in her yellow sundress, trying to salvage what little dignity she has left. She swings the door open and James looks momentarily surprised.
“Move,” Betty doesn’t even make eye contact, but the tall blonde listens to her and scoots to the side, so Betty can walk past and out the door.
Betty doesn’t even look back once, because if she did, she would never leave this room.
******
It’s nothing short of a miracle that Betty even makes it through the rest of the day. It was a constant battle of holding back her tears and trying to avoid her ex-girlfriend, all while trying to function. She’s sure she still bombed that math test, even with the extra chance to put answers on the paper.
When she gets home, she bypasses going inside. She knows she won’t be able to avoid her mother’s questioning gaze. That alone will make her start bawling and she can’t bear to tell the story one more time today. Instead, she heads past the gate leading to the backyard and straight to her garden. The one spot in this entire world where she feels truly at peace. She hopes it can bring her that same sense of relief today.
As soon as she flops her bag down in the grass, she weaves her way through the flower bushes and tomato plants, all the way to the back fence by her sunflowers. She all but throws herself at the earth, pulling her legs tight against her chest. A fresh batch of tears starts to trickle from her eyes. Betty truly didn’t think she had any more tears to cry but being in this garden isn’t having the healing effect she thought it would. It was foolish to think that she would be calm here. This garden holds too many memories of James, and Betty instantly regrets ever brining the taller girl here. She’s tainted the one place she’s sought solitude since her family moved to this stupid town. When they moved, Betty had been distraught, leaving all her friends behind. Her mom and dad had both asked if there was anything that could make the move better. Betty had almost instantly said a big garden.
Betty loves the outdoors, she has ever since she was a kid. Her grandma had instilled a love for plants and flowers in her, from the moment she could walk. She remembers sticking her stubby little fingers in the dirt, placing delicate seeds with the aid of her grandma. Then helping to tend those sprouts until they produced leaves, flowers, and fruit. There’s something so gratifying about bringing new life into existence, with just a little water, sunshine, and love.
Now, what was once her happy place, is full of sour memories. Betty looks at a row of blueberry bushes and scoffs, remembering how excited James had been to see the blue fruit the first time Betty brought her here. That very same day, they shared their first kiss, next to the blueberry bushes. The sound of early evening crickets and the feeling of soft grass beneath her toes failed in comparison to the feeling of James’s soft lips against hers. Her heart had soared and felt almost as full as being in this garden makes her feel.
Not anymore though.
Betty wonders if she’ll ever be able to look at this garden the same way ever again. She slowly stands from her spot in the grass and heads inside. Thankfully, her parents are no where to be seen and her little brother is still at soccer practice, so Betty is able to make it to her room without being seen.
The moment she enters her room, her heart sinks. The first thing her eyes land on, is James’s ill-fitting cardigan hanging from her bed post. Her heart feels heavy as she remembers the day James had bestowed the beloved sweater upon her. They were taking a walk in the park, after getting ice cream. It was late September, so the days had been hot, but the evenings were starting to become chilly. Betty had shivered as they walked, instantly regretting leaving her denim jacket at home. James has always been observant. At the first sign of her coldness, James had slipped off her baggy cardigan and slipped it over Betty’s shoulders. Betty felt warmer immediately and it wasn’t just because of the soft fabric hanging on her.
Betty stomps over to the bed and all but rips the cardigan from the post, tossing it to the ground. She kicks it under the bed before flopping stomach first onto the mattress.
She was foolish to let James in. Now it’ll take a lifetime to recover from the kind, beautiful soul that she thought James was. She thought that the blonde, softball player was going to be the one. Betty saw herself growing old with the other girl; buying a house, planting a new garden and raising a few kids. She’s only 17, almost 18. It seems foolish now that she was planning so far into the future with someone she has known for only a year, before her life has even truly begun.
An outsider might look at the situation and say she will move on. She’s so young. When you are as young as Betty, most adults assume that you don’t know a thing about true love. But Betty knows how she truly feels, Betty knows that she was – still is in love with James. And she hates it.

(Very Incomplete) Assclass Fanfic Ideas That I Daydream Ab But Cannot Write: Part 1
Some are kinda generic and some themes/AU's aren't exactly original lol but I think ab them all the time soooo here ya go hehe
Oh also I'm not rly writing? it's more my ideas in somewhat short headcanon form ahhhh sorry to disappoint
(If someone actually decides to write any of these, or something similar, please like message or tag me because I'd love to read them ahhh)
•••
1. Red String of Fate AU
-Y'all know this trope right
-Like you and your soulmate at connected by a red string that can be tangled and tied but never breaks
-(You can only see your own, not anyone else's)
-So basically, Karasuma never had one
-He hasn't all his life so love never interested him
-Then he starts at teaching E class
-He meets Irina, she doesn't have a soulmate either
-Why? Because he was one of her assassination targets
-Halfway through the year, the principal comes to visit again to see how E class is 'progressing'
-Karasuma gets a major migraine and goes home early
-He wakes up the next day
-He looks down at his hands
-Not one, but two red strings are attached to his pinky fingers, one on each hand
-He's very confused
-He goes to school and climbs up the mountain, noting how one string goes into the main building and one goes up the mountain
-That must mean Irina is a soulmate
-(Or korosensei but he wouldn't bet on that)
-When they meet in the teacher's lounge, neither knows what happened
-But Karamsuma isn't complaining, he supposes, maybe having a soulmate would be...more interesting?
-Until, the principal makes his way to the top of the mountain
-Karasuma is training, as usual
-Gakuhou says his name and he turns
-Karasuma freezes as the hand Gakuhou is holding up is connected to his
-E class is just looking at the interaction with interest
2. Hanahaki Disease AU
-Maehara has it
-Thinks it's ironic that he, a playboy, is coughing up flower petals
-He likes Isogai obv
-The flowers are either the color of Isogai's eyes or have a special meaning (idk which one but maybe both)
-He thinks Isogai likes Kataoka because they hang outside of their duties as class representatives
-Really, Isogai just trying to help Kataoka get with Kayano
-Lots of angstttt and a sad Maehara
-Idk the ending but hopefully it's fluffy
3. 5 Times Karma and Nagisa set up dates (+ 1 Time When a Date was set up for them)
-Karma setting up dates in the weirdest ways for 5 different couples because he's bored
-Nagisa tiredly supervising because if Karma gets his way then the world would be on fire
-At the end, the 5 couples (who knew Karma set them up, he wasn't discreet at all) come together and set him and Nagisa up
4. 5 Times Ren Kisses Gakushuu (+ 1 Time Gakushuu Kisses Ren)
-Ren kisses Gakushuu 5 times secretly
-(they are dating in secret cause of Gakuhou)
-Gakushuu kisses Ren at the graduation ceremony in front of everyone and basically comes out
-very fluffy cause i like fluff
-(Bisexual Gakushuu, Pansexual? Ren)
5. Asano Assassination Attempt
-Okay but like, can we have both Asano's trying an assassination attempt?
-How amazing would that be like holy shit
-One day Gakuhou just walks up the mountain to pay korosensei a visit
-He gets korosensei all panicky with a puzzle
-Then he goes in for the kill
-Korosensei is dodging him and then -Gakushuu fucking swings in through the window, knife ablaze
-Korosensei is like more panicky and very surprised that Gakushuu is there
-The two Asanos get most of the tentacles but not enough to kill him
-Then they both leave while insulting each other
-Class E is just like wtf just happened
6. Never Have I Ever
-Basically, during their break at school, A class plays never have I ever in an empty classroom
-Gakushuu, of course, does not want to play
-They ask him anyways and he plays
-(Note: he was physically dragged to the game by the rest of the virtuosos)
-Most of the questions were common like "never have I ever been out of the country"
-(Seo shut up no one cares about LA)
-or "never have I ever failed a test"
-(Of course Gakushuu doesn't drink)
-(They're drinking water cause they'd die if the principal walked in with them getting drunk)
-Then one boy asks "never have I ever had my first kiss"
-Surprisingly, Gakushuu takes a sip of water
-Unfortunately, that's when the principal walks in
-He then dedicates his time to find out who it was and how painful their death should be
-(Anyone y'all ship with Gakushuu can go w/ this one haha) (I had Ren cause it's hilarious when he's freaked out)
7. Ren + 4 Thiefs
-The four virtuosos stealing Ren's clothes
-He's taller than all of them so his clothes are the biggest and most comfortable
-They've been doing it for a while and
-Ren is fed up
-That's the fic haha
8. AssClass/RWBY Crossover AU
-Takes place in the ass class universe
-E class is still trying to kill korosensei
-A class is also hiding a secret, they are huntresses and huntsmen in training
-They train to kill grim, which (in this AU) only come out at night because they are made of pure darkness
-They can detect grim when a crystal they are wearing around their neck glows
-The crystals are made of pure light and so attract the grim
-Then a powerful grim attacks in broad daylight on the mountain
-A class kills the grim, getting there by someone opening a portal/rip with their semblance
-They try and figure out why the grim was able to stand the sunlight and why he decided to attack e class
-E class was just staring at them arguing
-Idk that's all I have
-This is one of my favorites tho
•••
Okay that's my first post of this? I may post a second one when I'm not overloaded with school work. Hopefully this was alright ahh
(To anyone who's a writer: please?)
Edit: How...how did this get so many likes/rbs 🥺 you guys are amazing ahh

Magic and Miracles - Chapter 1
Sanders Sides Big Bang fic, Chapter 1!
< Prologue | Next Chapter | Masterlist
Summary: Roman huffed. “Anyone could have done that.”
“Well, if they knew the spells, then yes,” Logan agreed.
“He’s just jealous of the grand show you made of it,” Remus chuckled.
“I am not jealous.”
“Oh, then why are your eyes so green?”
“They’re naturally this colour, idiot.”
“Ah, but not in such a poisonous shade.”
Warning/s: food mention, fantasy racism.
Characters: Logan, Emile, Remy, OCs, Virgil, Roman, Remus, Patton, Janus.
Read on AO3
1 | A Whole New World
Logan had been figuratively buzzing with anticipation ever since Mr Ainmosni had come to the bakery and offered him the chance of a lifetime. Now, one week later, he was about to be picked up for his first day of school. Everleigh had come around to see him off, and Emile had made them both pancakes with Crofters jam for breakfast.
“Do you think you’ll get to meet the prince?” Everleigh asked during their meal.
Logan shrugged. “Probably not. He’s never shown his face in public since he was a kid, after all.”
“Why though.” Everleigh wondered. “He’s the crown prince after all. Aren’t princes supposed to be big public figures or something?”
“Perhaps he hides his identity for the sake of protection. Again, he is the crown prince.” Logan pointed out.
“I guess you have a point there. Ooh, you are going to get to meet some nobles though.”
“What makes you so sure?”
“You’re the first non-noble to qualify for a magic license, so your classmates must be from the nobility.”
“Hmm, that seems most logical. Though I will meet and study with them, I doubt we’ll become friends.”
“Again with the selling-yourself-short! You’re awesome Lo, anyone, noble or otherwise, would be lucky to befriend you. Just don’t go getting yourself a new best friend, okay?”
“I’d never dream of it. But if I’m going to be spending so much time studying, then I hope you’ll consider finding yourself more friends.”
“I’ve got a library full of books, I don’t need more friends than that.”
“Ev…”
“Okay, I’ll socialise, if you do the same on your end.”
“I still don’t think anything will come of it, but I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to try.”
“Hey, kiddo, did you make sure to pack enough underwear?”
“Dad!” Logan exclaimed in embarrassment while Everleigh snickered at the question.
“I’m being serious, Logan. You don’t want to run out.”
“I am positive that I’ve packed everything I’m going to need.”
“Even your-”
“Yes.”
“I didn’t finish my sentence.”
“I’ve packed clothes, books, hygiene products, spare clothes, and a spare binder.”
“Okay. Don’t forget to take a break from binding every few hours. If I hear anything about you neglecting to do so, then make no mistakes I’ll march over there myself to see that you do.”
“I know. I can take care of myself dad.”
Everleigh snorted. “If it weren’t for us, you’d have probably worked yourself to death.”
Logan looked at her with a you-are-not-helping expression, then turned back to his dad. “I’ll be fine. Besides, Mr Ainmosni is going to be taking care of us.”
Emile frowned. “I don’t doubt that Remy is a good teacher if he’s been put in charge of this, but I feel that he’s not completely… responsible.”
“He definitely fancies you if the constant flirting was any indication,” Everleigh teased.
Logan snickered. “Yeah, you went red as a tomato.”
“Oh shush,” Emile scolded, blushing at even the memory.
“I’ll be okay though, you really don’t have to worry.”
“You know I will either way, but I am proud of you. It feels like just yesterday you two were tiny tots running around the bakery. Now, look at you! A library apprentice and a wizard in training.”
“We have come a pretty long way, haven’t we,” Logan smiled.
Everleigh laughed. “I don’t think I’m anywhere near as accomplished as you.”
“I wouldn’t be where I am without you. How else could I have studied those library books for countless hours without you making sure to keep tabs on them.”
“It’s not like I had much to worry about when you read at the speed of light.”
“I’m going to miss studying there.”
“Well, you’re always welcome to stop by. It’s not like you’re going to the next town over or anything.”
“I suppose. Though I really won’t be able to spend as much time there as before.”
“Don’t go getting homesick already, Lo. I already miss you, but this isn’t a goodbye.”
“Definitely not. I’ll probably visit this weekend.”
“Then I’ll be here Saturday morning to hear all about what you’ve done.”
Logan nodded. He was glad that they would stay friends, even if they could only see each other on weekends. He’d known Everleigh since they were babies after all. Not having her around would be weird.
The bell above the shop door rang and the trio in the kitchen heard Remy call. “I have arrived!”
They went to the bakery and saw Remy standing there in the same outfit as before, however this time he had a strange flask in his hand.
Emile frowned. “What’s that?”
“Midnight elixir. My own special concoction. It’s a touch bitter but really helps if you need an energy boost. Want a try?”
“Oh, uh, no thank you.”
“Woah, are you guys riding in that?” Everleigh gasped when she saw the carriage parked outside.
It was a standard chestnut brown box carriage with white swirls and spirals decorating it all around, and a pair of beautiful cream coloured horses pulling it.
“Yep. Ready to go, Logan?”
Logan nodded. “I just need to grab my bag from upstairs.”
He quickly went and got his suitcase then paused a moment to look around his room. He wouldn’t see it again for a while. Honestly, he’d never been away from home for longer than an overnight stay at Everleigh’s house. The reality of leaving everything he knew behind was both exciting and frightening. He truly didn’t know what to expect at this magic school apart from that he’d learn magic. This was a huge step to take and he wasn’t entirely sure of his readiness anymore.
But when he got downstairs and saw his dad and Everleigh’s proud expressions, he knew that there was no turning back now. He had a goal after all, and this was going to help him achieve it. He wouldn’t freeze up and disappoint them now.
Farewell wishes and goodbye hugs were quickly exchanged, then Logan and Remy got into the carriage and were off. Logan looked out the back window as they drove away from the bakery, out of town, and to the location of the Srednas Magic School.
“Mr Ainmosni-”
“Just Remy, kid.”
“Remy, where exactly is the school?”
“The school is, for now, the Srednas Manor. The Prince wants to have a proper school built, but this first class is only the test run, so to speak.”
“Test run?”
“The council wants to be sure that a school would be a successful idea before the Prince can order a real one to be made.”
Logan nodded. “I suppose that’s why it’s not publicly known.”
“Yeah, getting ideas through the council is a pain, even for royalty. I’m surprised they let you obtain a learners license without too much fuss. Though you should be cautious about any interactions with Councillor Allen. He was not happy when he heard the Prince invited you to his school,” Remy chuckled.
“He wouldn’t really be able to do anything against me, would he?”
“With how you won the favour of his highness and Lady Silvia, not a chance. But you will need to be careful. Now that you’re practising magic, you will be interacting with nobility, and any mistakes made in their world can mean an end to your reputation and career.”
“I don’t know if I would do much socialising.”
“Kid, you are the first-ever wizard to come from a commonwealth household. Nobles are going to find a way to meet you and they’ll either see you as an opportunity or an opponent.”
“Opportunity?”
“You already caught the notice of the Crown Prince. They’ll want to take advantage of that. And at the same time, they might see that as a problem since you’re getting his attention over them.”
“I’ve never even met him.”
“They won’t care. They may even believe you have anyway.”
Logan frowned. “This is going to be harder than I thought.”
Remy nodded. “Yeah, but if you need anything then you can just ask.”
“Does social standing fall under your teaching duties?”
“Nope. But I don’t mind helping people, and honestly, I think that you have something… special. You’re forging a path for others who may want to learn magic themselves. I think that’s worth investing in.”
“So, this isn’t for anything like points with my dad?”
Remy laughed. “While that seems like a benefit, I truly didn’t think of it before you said something.”
Shortly after that conversation, the carriage came to the silver gates of the Srednas Estate. The driveway was paved with white stones and went all the way up to the large manor house which was built of brilliant dark wood and stone bricks. It looked to Logan like a small castle, with even a tower on the left side that stretched high above even the forest trees.
The carriage stopped just outside of the enormous front door, and Logan found himself staring up in awe as he followed Remy out.
“Well, I believe we are the last to arrive. Follow me to the classroom. The others should be waiting there for us.”
Logan followed Remy down the halls. When they finally arrived at their destination, Logan noted that there were seven small desks set in a sort of semi-circle. They were all facing one large desk with a big chalkboard behind it. As Remy had predicted, the other six students already occupied the room.
Two elves were sitting together by the two desks far left, talking about something animatedly to one another. They looked similar, with broad shoulders, long dark curly hair, and almond tanned skin. Their eyes however set them apart from one another, the one on the left having bright green eyes while the others were deep red.
Sitting on the desk of the red-eyed elf was a water sprite with a kind smile. He had a petit build, bright brown eyes and messy blonde hair with small variously coloured flowers braided in. His skin was a peachy hue apart from the blue-green splotches that identified them as being a sprite.
Standing by one of the large windows in the back of the room were two students. One a demi-wolf, the other a Dragonborn. The Dragonborn stood with an air of confidence and superiority. Paired with the scales that covered the right half of their face, they seemed quite intimidating. Their eyes were mismatched, the left one a normal brown while the right one was bright yellow with a black slitted pupil. Their blonde hair was nearly completely hidden by their ivy cap.
In comparison, their demi-human companion seemed rather timid or perhaps on edge, if their body language was anything to go by. Their tail hung low, slowly swinging side to side, and their wolf ears were focused forward, listening intently to the Dragonborn’s words, while their deep brown eyes glanced routinely around the room and out the window.
On the other side of the room, by a bookshelf full of large tomes, stood the last student. He was slender and pale, with black hair that faded into dark purple and hung slightly in his stormy grey eyes. He was leaning with his back against the shelves, eyes focused on the pages of the book in his hands, at least until Remy and Logan had entered. At that moment, the boy looked up through his fringe and focused his stormy eyes on Logan.
For a moment Logan felt frozen. Those eyes seemed to be reading him like a book. Searching his very soul for… something. But the feeling only lasted a moment as the boy looked back down at his book with a thoughtful frown. How peculiar.
“Okay, everyone, take a seat. Preferably at the provided chairs.” Remy said as he turned to take his own seat behind the large desk facing the semi-circle.
The sprite hopped off the elf’s desk and sat at the desk beside them. The Dragonborn took the next seat, and the demi-wolf sat beside them. The boy at the bookshelf returned his book to its place then sat at the desk on the far right. Leaving a seat for Logan between the boy and the demi-human, which he promptly took.
“Alright, class. I don’t expect you to become best friends or anything, but we are a small group so I hope you will at the very least get along with each other. For that, you’ll probably need to know each other, so we’re going to go around and introduce ourselves. I’ll start. I’m your teacher, Remy Ainmosni, my pronouns are he/him, and don’t worry this is not alcohol,” Remy said as he gestured to his flask. “Who wants to go next?”
“Oh, me!” The sprite said excitedly, jumping up. “Hi, I’m Patton Lilyhart, I use he/him, and I’m excited to get to know you all.”
Remy nodded. “I like the energy. Who wants to continue?”
“I shall.” The green-eyed elf declared, standing up from his seat with a confidant and regal air. “My name is Roman Elvar Goldheart Arthur Leafstone, and my pronouns are he/him. I am the eldest son of Lady Leafstone and heir of the Lyrecrest Ilse.”
“An impressive introduction, Roman, but next time you can just say your name is Roman Leafstone, we don’t need your full given name,” Remy commented, then gestured to the other elf. “Your turn.”
The red-eyed elf stood, though she held herself with a more casual air and wrapped an arm around Roman’s shoulders. “Sup, I’m Remus, he/him or she/her, and this is my less-handsome twin.”
“You’re wrinkling my cape,” Roman complained, only to have Remus stick out her tongue at him.
Remy nodded with an amused smile. “Okay, snake eye, you’re up.”
“I am not a snake,” the not-half-snake hissed. “My name is Janus Embyrn, they/them, and I am a Dragonborn.”
“Good for you, snake eye. What about you, Wolfie?” Remy asked, completely ignoring the fiery rage burning in Janus’s eyes.
“My name is Willow, um, Redrunner.”
“Are you sure?” Remus asked. “Cause you don’t seem so confident about that.”
Willow shuffled nervously in their seat. “I- well… you see- uh-”
“Demi-humans don’t use last names,” Logan declared.
Willow nodded gratefully at him. “Yeah, but if needed then we use the name of our pack. I hail from the Redrunner pack and use she/they pronouns.”
Remy nodded then turned his attention to Logan and the stormy eyed boy. “Okay, which of you two wants to go?”
“I’m Virgil Tempest, he/him,” the boy declared.
They all waited a moment for him to say more, but he simply gestured for Logan to go. Logan made a mental note of that and then cleared his throat.
“My name is Logan Picani and I also use he/him pronouns.”
Patton gasped. “Oh my gosh, you’re the star guy! Right?”
“If you are referring to the spells I cast at the license test, then yes that is me.”
Roman huffed.
“Let’s not fight,” Patton intervened. “You did very well on your presentation Roman.”
“Thank you, Pat, but I am still not and have never been jealous. Especially of a human.”
“Watch your words, elf,” Janus growled. “You wouldn’t want us to think you’re racist.”
Roman glared darkly at them but was interrupted by Remy before he could reply. “Never mind presentations, and races, and titles, none of those things matter here so there’s no need to discuss them. All of you were chosen with equal faith in your abilities as competent mages who could better the kingdom. I hope you can appreciate this opportunity and act civil with each other for the duration of your time here.”
Everyone was silent but Logan could practically see sparks of violent tension between Roman and Janus. They were going to be a problem for each other but with any luck, they wouldn’t pull the rest of the class down with them. Logan doubted he had that much luck, but he hoped anyway.
“Now, the rules are as follows,” Remy continued, ignoring the tense atmosphere. “Firstly, you are to stay on school grounds, unless permitted by myself to leave. Secondly, lessons will take place in the late morning and early afternoon, whatever you do outside of that time is up to you. So long as it doesn’t interfere with classes then I don’t care what you do. You’re old enough to watch yourselves, and I am not a babysitter, so I expect you to keep out of trouble for the most part. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served in the dining hall, food is allowed outside of these hours, but not permitted inside of your rooms. Speaking of your rooms, you may decorate them as you like, but please remember to keep them moderately tidy as the cleaning staff will only come through once a week-”
“Once a week?”
“That’s what I said, Roman.”
“Do you expect our beds to go unmade for that long?”
Remy shrugged. “I would hope you could at least do that for yourselves. You’re not infants after all.”
Roman opened his mouth to protest further but was cut off by Janus. “What food is to be served, exactly?”
“Not sure. You can inquire with the chef for a menu and tell them of any dietary requirements too. If and when you interact with the estate staff, I expect you to be polite and respectful towards them. Any questions?”
“Can we explore the garden?” Patton asked.
Remy smiled. “Yes. The estate is yours to explore, apart from the tower.”
Remus’s eyes shone with curiosity. “What’s in the tower?”
“Nothing you need to concern yourself with. If that’s all, then I think I ought to show you all to your rooms to get yourselves settled in.”
Remy got up and walked to the door, not waiting to see if anyone followed him. Roman rose in a dignified manner and went after him with Remus walking beside him. Patton practically skipped behind them and Janus followed with their own nonchalant air and Willow beside them. Virgil got up too and looked over to Logan for a split second, almost like he wanted to say something, but decided against it.
It was barely the beginning of his first day and Logan already felt that this was going to be a stressful time. He really had no idea how he was going to navigate interacting with all these people. He didn’t have to do that when he was independently studying before. By accepting this chance he was entering a whole new world.
And he was more than ready to conquer it.

You had always had friends that were older than you, so when you got into college you already knew about one of the professors you’d end up having freshman year. You were majoring in anthropology and the one in charge of the class for the first year was Professor Driver. Your friends had snuck pictures of him in class, talking about how attractive he was constantly but also how incredibly strict he was. You never really understood their infatuation until you walked into his class for the first time. The way that his nose curved, along with his jet black hair and hazel eyes had you hooked, not to mention how broad his shoulders and torso were. Friends of yours knew that you had changed your mind about him but what you didn’t know was that your best friend and soon to be boyfriend Grayson had noticed too. He sat next to you in the same class and watched the way you practically drooled over the tall man dressed nicely in a casual suit. But it also didn’t help that you constantly talked with him after class about how handsome the older man was.
“Gray I’m serious I think he’s the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen.” The two of you are walking side by side after leaving the class and you can’t get your mind off Professor Driver.
“Really? You see me every day Y/N” He smiles, half joking. You playfully hit his shoulder and just laugh at his comment.
“Oh my gosh don’t even get me started on his body. His shoulders? Crafted by the gods Grayson I’m not even kidding. He’s just so…” you pause for a moment, trying to think of the perfect word to describe him “...big. Like massive. He could throw me around like a rag doll.”     At your comments Grayson pretends to throw up, slight jealousy brewing in his stomach but he’s not letting it show just yet.
“Y/N he’s our professor, you're gross.” He laughs but there’s slight meaning behind his words. You decide to ignore it and the conversation topic changes after a few more laughs from you.
                                                               ~
The next day the two of you walk into class, going through the classwork as you steal glances at the man at the front of the class. You make eye contact a couple times but look away quickly at each occurrence. After receiving your essay tests back from the week before you noticed that you had many more comments on yours than anyone else had, scrawled in purple ink. You showed your paper to Grayson and he gave you a look of surprise.
“Maybe he has a crush on you.” Grayson jokes. You shove his arm away and laugh, not realizing how loud you’re being.
“Miss Y/L/N. Care to share what you’re laughing about with the class?” Professor Driver’s voice carries loud across the classroom, booming off the walls into your ears. You instantly feel your face heat up at his comment.
“No Professor Driver sorry.” You mumble just loud enough for him to hear.
“Then I suggest you don’t laugh in my classroom. Keep it outside.” He speaks in a stern voice, sparking slight excitement mixed with fear inside of you.
You simply nod in reply and smile at Grayson, making sure to stay quiet the rest of the class so as to not get in trouble again. After the lecture is over, you let Grayson know that you are going to stay behind to talk to Professor Driver. Although it isn’t his official office hours, you know he has time before the next class ends so he stays in the same room. You decide to take this opportunity to apologize sincerely for being loud in class as well as ask him about the notes left on presumably only your test. Walking towards his desk, you grip your essay in your hand and approach his desk where he is sat grading.
“Professor Driver?” You ask, trying to get his attention.
“Yes, Miss Y/L/N?” He responds, still keeping his eyes focused on the grading at hand.
“I just wanted to let you know that I am truly sorry for what happened in class today. I’m just good friends with Grayson and we got carried away and I laughed too loud I promise it’ll never happen again I just-”
“Stop. It’s okay. Just as long as you don’t do it again we won’t have any problems.” He interrupts. “Now is that all?”
“Um no,” you pause for a moment, gathering your thoughts, “I actually wanted to also ask about my essay.”
Before you can get any further he interrupts you again.
“You know the rules. Talking about assignments is for office hours, not for time when I am working on your other assignments. You know where the clipboard is so sign up for a time and I’ll get to you.” The entire time he is still focused on the papers in front of him where you notice that there are no comments on anyone’s assignments, furthering your confusion.
“But-” You try to speak before you are interrupted for the third time.
“Y/N.” He says your name in such an intense manner that butterflies start up in your stomach. “I told you what to do. Follow the rules.”
Feeling intimidated, you simply nod your head and make your way out of the classroom.
                                                           ~
About a week passes by before there is an opening in office hours. Since the professor is so strict about everything and grades so harshly, everyone is trying to salvage their grades. A couple days before you are supposed to meet, Grayson tells you that he needs to talk to you after school and that it’s very important. You meet him outside the library, where you usually meet, and start walking around campus before stopping in front of a small group of benches where people typically eat their lunch or study.
“Listen, Y/N, I need to tell you something. It’s been weighing on my chest for a while and even if it doesn’t turn out to be good I just need to get it all out.” He explains. You simply nod your head in response, allowing him to continue.
“I like you. More than a friend. I like you and I want us to be together if you feel the same way.” The words spill from his mouth quickly as if he’s scared of saying them.
“You like me?” You say in disbelief, not fully believing it since you’ve never seen him in that way before. He simply nods, shying away from saying anything more. “Why me? Like we’ve been best friends forever what changed your mind?”
“Well to be honest with you, when I heard you talking about our professor I got this really jealous feeling in my stomach and it wouldn’t go away so I just went home and thought about it for a bit and realized that I like you I guess.” He lets out a slightly awkward laugh. “And why shouldn’t someone like you? You’re beautiful, smart, and I don’t know I guess I just found something in you that I never noticed before when you talked about him. Sooo…”
“I’m honestly not sure how I feel about you Gray, but I wanna explore this. I think it could work if I just figure out my emotions. So how about we just spend some time talking and stuff before becoming official?” You question, hoping he says yes because you honestly felt guilty about being so attracted to your shared professor still.
“Yes of course Y/N. No rush at all.” His smile is as bright as the sun at the news and the two of you continue your walk, the casual banter usually shared between the two of you having a new feel to it after his confession.
                                                           ~
The next couple days before your meeting with Professor Driver, you and Grayson spend almost all of your time together and you are definitely getting feelings for him. With each brush of your hands together or an accidental bump into the other, you feel your attraction growing to be as strong as his yet still not enough to be official yet. You had never noticed how attractive he was before all of this had happened though. Of course you had always known he was a handsome guy simply because his features were nicely arranged but you found yourself just wanting to look at him a lot of the time. A couple times he caught you, laughing and grabbing your hand to intertwine it with his as you continued whatever you had been doing. You were definitely in it now. But what about Professor Driver?
                                                           ~
It was finally the day of your meeting with Professor Driver and you regretted wearing the skirt that Grayson had wanted you to wear for him, simply because you knew how clumsy you were and didn’t want to accidentally flash your teacher. Although in your mind deep down you knew it wouldn’t be the worst thing to happen.
After classes were over for the day, you instructed Grayson to wait at the bench right outside of the building so that you could get in and get out fast, returning directly to him. You made your way into the lobby, continuing down into the familiar classroom. Professor Driver was sitting at his desk on his computer, presumably putting in grades or something else having to do with all the grading he’s been doing lately.
You knock slightly on the door and he motions to come in. You walk in and sit across from him in a plush chair with wooden arms, immediately putting your essay on the desk in front of you.
“So I was just wondering about my essay test because I noticed that, at least from those around me, I am the only one with extra comments added. I got a good grade and the comments are positive so I was just wondering why mine has comments and others who did just as good do not.” You speak concisely as to make sure things are fast, not wanting to spend any more time around the temptation that is your professor longer than you have to.
“Well, I saw that you have potential. The students I believe have potential, I actually put extra work into and make sure I add what they have done right and wrong to improve them as students and people. You just happen to be the only one with potential in this class therefore you are the only one with extra comments. Your essay was the only one to fully address each thing I instructed you all to address and with the work you do in class I see that although you do spend some time messing around with Mr. Dolan, you get your work done and you always hit the nail on the head.” As he speaks he almost unnoticeably glances down at your chest, where your cleavage was showing due to the low v-neck of your shirt. You take notice but leave the looks to your imagination, a red blush covering your face and moving down your neck at his compliments.
“Thank you so much Professor Driver. I really appreciate your kind words.” You smile sweetly at him.
“It’s no problem Y/N” he uses your first name once again making butterflies arise in your stomach. “Good girls deserve praise.” He is barely speaking above a whisper but you still hear him, the words instantly affecting you. You clench your thighs slightly to keep your arousal at bay.
“What was that Professor?” You pretend as if you didn’t hear him, hoping it was just your mind playing tricks on you.
He looks you up and down before gazing directly into your eyes.
“I think you know what I said. I can tell by the way you’re clenching your thighs together Y/N.” It hadn’t registered that he was tall enough to see clearly over the desk. You immediately move your legs apart quickly, accidentally giving him a peek of the pink lace panties you were wearing.
“I-i’m sorry Professor I didn’t mean anything by it I’m kind of seeing someone I just-” Before you can finish your sentence, Grayson is walking up to you. You hadn’t realized that he’d come inside to check on you and heard what just happened.
“Yeah you’re damn right you’re seeing someone. Me. So why are you” He looks pointedly at the large man sitting in the chair across from you “saying things like that to her? Doesn’t seem very professional of you to say, does it?”
The professor is taken aback by Grayson’s words but simply looks up from his sitting position.
“You’re simply too young to know what she wants. You can’t pleasure a woman without experience.” The words fall freely from his mouth as if he hasn’t a care in the world and he returns to grading the papers in front of him.
Grayson’s mouth opens quickly in shock before he closes it again, responding angrily.
“And what the fuck would you know about pleasing a woman? Don’t think you’re all big and bad just because you’re an old man. And not that you need to know, but I have plenty of experience thank you very much.” Grayson moves closer to you as he says this almost as if he’s protecting you.
Professor Driver places his pen down before pushing his chair out from his desk and standing to his full height. Your breath is caught in your throat as you see how much taller the man truly is compared to Grayson. It’s not a lot but considering the circumstances it’s enough to make a difference. Grayson’s head tips back a bit as to make eye contact.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about so I’d be quiet if I were you.” The professor warns. “You probably haven’t even made her wet yet, have you? But I had her clenching her thighs together with four simple words. So tell me now, Mr. Dolan, exactly why you think you have experience?”
Grayson is almost at a loss for words but an idea springs to his head. He reaches over to you, wrapping your hair around his fist and pulling you towards him causing you to let out a small whine at the pressure on your roots.
“She’s mine. It doesn’t matter what the fuck you say.” Grayson’s eyes are red with anger. The bigger man steps forward so that you are now stuck between the two of them, tension so thick you couldn’t even cut it with the sharpest of knives. The two large men sandwiched you between them as angry glares are shared, the amount of testosterone elevating due to the threat of the other male. You looked between the two, having to tilt your head back to see both of their faces before you realized the expanse of their chests on either side of you. The way that they had you, you felt more like a prize to be won than an actual person. You weren’t complaining.
“How about we let Miss Y/L/N decide? We can both fuck her and she’ll chose who she likes better. Although I think it would be a waste of time since we all know it’s me.” Professor Driver proclaims. Grayson reluctantly agrees as he turns you towards him.
“Mr. Dolan. Go lock the door and pull down the curtain.” The professor’s eyes are trained on you as he says this, large hands moving down to your waist and pulling you towards him. “Gonna be a good little girl for me, huh?” He whispers in your ear, sending chills down your spine as you nod your head.
“I’m not gonna fuckin’ do what you say.” Grayson argues, observing already what a grasp the older man has on you. The same man’s movements stop and he holds on to you. You look at Grayson with pleading eyes.
“P-please Gray. Lock it and close the c-curtain. I need you.” Your words are filled with a deep whimpering hunger that you can no longer control. Grayson gives in since you said it and does as he is told. As he is walking away, the professor leans close into your ear.
“You are allowed to call me anything you want. My name is Adam if you’d like to call me that but I prefer something a little more fun.” His lips are ghosting across your ear as he speaks, your knees going weak at just his words. Grayson returns quickly, grabbing your forearm and pulling you into his chest, before kissing you passionately. His lips are rough against yours and you can feel the anger in each movement he makes. Before you know it, Adam is behind you placing his hands up your skirt to take down the lace beneath. He rids of the small piece of fabric and lifts your skirt, large hands canvassing your ass before placing a harsh smack across it. You moan into your kiss with Grayson, letting him know the amount of pleasure you’re receiving from the admittedly more experienced man.
Grayson moves away from you and pulls your shirt over your head, throwing it behind him along with your bra before kissing all the way from your neck down to your nipples. He takes one into his mouth, kneading and pinching the other with his other hand. While all of this is happening, Adam is removing your skirt and reaching his hand between your legs from the back to rub at your sensitive core which caused his hands to practically drip with your arousal. Before Grayson is done the professor pulls you towards him by your hips and turns you around by your hips, lifting you up. You wrap your legs around him, your core rubbing against the material of his button up, neither one of the men having gotten undressed yet.
“S-sir please. Need more” You whine, burying your face into Adam’s neck and biting on the skin there. He lets out a grunt at your teeth against his skin.
“Don’t worry baby, I’ll take care of you.” He reassures you, sweeping everything off of his desk and placing you on top. Grayson moves towards the two of you to keep himself included but he has no idea how to get access to you in the position that the older man has put you in. As Adam is unbuttoning his pants to be able to slide into you, Grayson takes his chance and moves towards you, crouching down after pushing the professor away and licking up the juices dripping from your core. Adam steps back, slightly impressed by Grayson’s willpower but still wanting to win you over. He lets Grayson continue, walking around to the side of you and moving your chin to face him. You come face to face with his huge cock and almost gasp in amazement of how big it is. He’s definitely the biggest you’ve ever seen.
“Open your mouth princess, take me in.” He demands softly, using his thumb to open your mouth for you before sliding himself in. The combination of him in your mouth and Grayson’s mouth fixed on you has you moaning around your professor so much to the point that after a bit he almost comes. He pulls out of your mouth and moves back around to where Grayson is.
“Move.” He demands, feet planted firmly as to assert his dominance over the younger man as he unbuttons and takes off his button up shirt. Grayson heeds what he says and moves to kiss you, letting you taste yourself on his lips and tongue.
“Do you want my cock in you, dirty little girl? You want me to fill you up, huh?” Adam asks, rubbing his tip up and down your folds to tease you before you answer. You pull away from Grayson’s kiss as he moves down your neck, gripping your hair tightly before moving his other hand to grip your neck.
“Y-yes please sir. Please.” You are almost crying at how desperate you are to be filled, pleading eyes looking directly into Adam’s. He smiles at your begging and plunges all the way into you, making you shout out in a mix of pleasure and pain. Grayson comforts you, leaving soft caresses all down your body. He even tries to rub your clit when your hips buck up but Adam smacks his hand away, instead pressing his forearm against your hips to force them to stay down.
“You say you’re experienced but don’t even know not to let her be such a greedy little bitch? Yeah okay.” Adam snarks, Grayson simply ignoring him and standing up so you could suck him off like you had done to Adam earlier. You open your mouth and take Grayson in as Adam pounds away into you in a way so good you can’t even begin to explain. Your legs are shaking with each pump he takes in and out before you finally are about to release around him.
“You need to ask my permission to cum, baby. If you want it you need to beg it’s not just gonna be that easy.” Adam’s previously stern voice turned a bit sweeter at these orders, knowing it would be difficult for you to keep everything in considering how hard and fast he was going. You pull away from Grayson and he continues to stroke himself next to you.
“Please Adam please let me come. Please I’ll do anything. Anything.” The last word comes out as nothing but a whine as you clench around him.
“C’mon kitten. Cum for me. Cum around my cock.” He only goes harder and faster as he says it, both men now being close to finishing. Grayson soon finishes, his liquids landing across your chest and seeing him is what sets you off. You cum around Adam, your walls clamping down around him so hard that he cums as well. He pushes all the way into you to keep all the juices, both yours and his, all inside of you before pulling out slowly so as to not let anything fall to the floor. Grayson steps to the side, taking off his shirt and using it to wipe his cum from your chest before Adam moves to your face, gripping your chin and forcing you to look at him. He pinches your cheeks so that your mouth opens and spits straight into it, showing Grayson who really has control. You swallow what he just gave you and moan, legs shaking from how hard you came. Grayson takes a look at the older man and just laughs, observing the destruction they both did to you. Adam smiles in return before grabbing you and making you sit up straight.
“So, who’s it gonna be? Who’s the better fuck, princess?” The professor asks.
You pause for a moment.
“Can’t I just have both?”

You've never really thought about it before but now you realize that teachers do have a life outside of school.
They don't just sleep under their big, teacher desks at night and pop up in the morning right before the first bell rings. You know now that teachers, although with so much authority and intellect, are just humans—they have feelings, they have a life and they can also be your friend.
You beam as you look at your teacher as he lectures. A friend he was...
Your eyes shift up and down Jimin's figure and man, was it too sweet for your eyes. He's so good looking. Actually, even that was an understatement.
Your teacher's tight, white button-up shirt fits his figure just perfectly as his tie sit handsomely on his broad chest. His black jeans look strained on his muscular legs, and your eyes start moving up to settle specifically on his thighs. Goddamn.
Jimin pushes up his glasses (that he only wears in a classroom setting) and that motion draws you in to study his ethereal face. Your breath hitches as you marvel at his wide, almond eyes, adorable nose and those soft, plump lips. So beautiful, so surreal, so...
"Y/N? Y/N. Y/N!"
You jump a foot in the air. "Huh, what?" you shout, startled out of your mind. You know you probably sound like some twelve-year-old caught with porn and you mentally scold yourself for sounding so off-guard.
It gets worse when everyone in your math class laughs at you and you can feel your cheeks turning red with embarrassment.
"I asked you a question," Jimin says as he points to a problem on the board.
You've always noticed that your teacher never ever cuts you slack for being his friend; he doesn't show favoritism, preferring to treat everyone quite equally, no matter how bad someone might take an L on his test. You always thought that was honorable of him, but now, you kind of wished he'd leave you alone to die in your ocean of humiliation.
Palms already sweaty from all the unwanted attention on you, your eyes shake as you squint at the problem. It's hard to focus on the numbers. "Oh shit," you mutter under your breath, but you've always been a loud mutterer.
Everyone laughs again.
Uneasy sparks blaze in your stomach. You hate how everyone is watching you, waiting and listening for anything out of place to ridicule your every move.
But you take a deep breath and the math problem seems to clear up in your vision. It's an easy one, thank god.
"22 pi over 7," you squeak quickly, ducking your head under.
"Hm? Speak a little louder, Y/N," Jimin says as he adjusts his glasses, craning his neck towards you as if he couldn't hear you.
Goddammit, Jimin.
"22 pi over 7!" you yell in the stupidest and shakiest voice ever to be heard by mankind.
Finally, the fire in your stomach burns out when Jimin nods. "Correct," he chuckles slightly, his eyes glinting a bit. " Try not to daydream too much, Y/N. Even geniuses need to pay attention."
The fire is back and hotter than ever, except it's not only in your stomach, it's everywhere in your body. So. Fucking. Humiliating.
Trying to cool yourself, you set your head down on the desk, looking at your shoes as if those dirty, black Watt Star Converse were something actually worth looking at for more than half a millisecond.
Damn. I used to never get distracted... What the fuck is wrong with me?
Tumblr media
After school, you trudge to your math teacher's classroom, still embarrassed about the incident earlier. When you walk in, Jimin's erasing the whiteboard, his back facing you.
As quietly and quickly as possible, you set your stuff down at your desk in the front of the classroom and sit. I will not initiate conversation. He's gonna hate me for getting distracted during class.
But when your teacher turns around, he laughs warmly, eyes scrunching up in the way that you love most.
"Y/N, why so quiet today?"
You flinch. "Oh, uh, no reason." You always sound so suspicious when you lie to Jimin.
"C'mon, you look disturbed," your friend says as he sets the whiteboard eraser down, abandoning it to walk towards you. "What's the matter?"
Oh, you know, just simply embarrassed that I think my friend, my teacher is hot and got fucking distracted over his goddamn body during his class.
But you can't say that.
"Oh, um..." you trail off, racking your brain for a good excuse. But as smart as you are academically, you're as stupid as a guppy when it comes to making plausible excuses. "I'm on my period."
You cringe the moment the words leave your mouth. Why, Y/N, why the fuck—
You want to crawl in a hole when Jimin raises his eyebrows in question. "Oh," he says. You swear you see his face flush pink as he turns his back towards you again, walking towards his messy desk. "Did it start today?" he asks.
Okay, what now?
Now it's your turn to flush pink; you didn't think Jimin would ask questions about your fake female problems. "Uh, yeah," you lie. "The cramps distracted me." Feigning pain, you try to convincingly grasp your stomach.
Jimin looks up at you from his desk, his silky black hair falling loosely over his twinkling eyes. To your surprise, he's smiling. "It isn't the first time I heard that excuse, Y/N. I know what you're really like on your period, remember?"
Well, shit. You did remember, you had just hoped he didn't... But it was your darn luck that he did. What did you expect from your intelligent teacher?
Face steaming, you huff. "Oh, whatever!"
Jimin only laughs, his eyes nearly disappearing as his full lips open up to a breathtakingly beautiful smile. You gulp. There's no doubt about it.
You're crushing on your teacher; he's much more of a distraction than your period will ever be.
Tumblr media
"Operation help Ji—I mean, Mr. Park starts now!" you announce as the members of your math club cheer loudly.
"I don't know what kind of fucked up nasty humans were mean to our teacher, but we're totally gonna show them!" Nicole declares, Sarah and August agreeing aggressively by her side.
"But the question is... how?" Jungkook asks shyly, scooting closer to you.
Very aware of his movement, you slightly squirm, but pretend nothing happened. "I was thinking of a math tutoring club? For anyone who wants tutoring or is failing the class," you say. "And that way, if asshole parents complain again, we'll be able to say that Mr. Park did everything he could to help them—he has a fucking club dedicated to passing his class!"
"Ingenius as usual," August laughs.
"And when would we start this club?" Sarah asks.
You grin, your eyes sparkling with ambition. "If we can, tomorrow."
Tumblr media
"No, no, no!" you practically scream, hitting your favorite pencil against a packet of math problems aggressively. "For the last time, you can't divide x to get an answer! You're gonna lose solutions! Do you want to lose solutions? Do you want to lose that A?"
The teen you're tutoring looks about ready to cry but you honestly feel no remorse. She had been constantly checking her goddamn text messages, giggling over quite inappropriate texts about Jimin. It makes you sick.
If she thinks Jimin's so fucking hot, why doesn't she at least try to be good at math?
"Hey, hey, Y/N, calm down," a familiar, silvery voice calls.
Jungkook.
"I'm trying!" you protest, flinging up your hands.
Jungkook laughs, sliding into the chair next to you and looking at the girl you were tutoring.
"What are you having trouble with?" he asks the girl in such a silky, smooth voice that if someone told you he was an angel, you'd believe them.
"Everything!" the dumb girl wails.
You roll your eyes.
"Hey, hey, then let's start from the very beginning, okay?" Jungkook soothes, smiling softly.
Goddamn, I wish I was that patient.
You just start to zone out as Jungkook literally reteaches this girl how to factor. You honestly wonder how she even passed elementary school. But then again, you have to admit you're a little jealous that this girl has so many friends to text. Yet you'd rather be smart than be popular—that's just how you roll.
You pause. But it's not like you don't have friends. You just don't have that many. And I actually like all the friends I have for once...
You don't remember falling asleep when a large, warm hand gently shakes you awake. Your groggy eyes open to see Jungkook, a goofy smile plastered on his face. "Tired, Y/N?" he chuckles.
The girl he's tutoring rolls her eyes. "Hmph. She yells at me for checking my messages but she does something even more unproductive," she grumbles.
Oh no. You did not just wake up to deal with attitude. You're not gonna have it. "Excuse me, but while I'm out here mastering linear algebra, you don't even know how to factor. Guess you had one too many hours of texting, huh?" you snap.
"Dayum," Jungkook mutters under his breath. He casually holds his hand out for a high-five, which you do, extremely dramatically.
"For your information, I know how to factor now," the girl huffs.
"For your information, that's a required skill for fifth graders," you bite back. "In addition—"
"As hilarious as this is," Jungkook interrupts, placing a hand on your arm, "You should calm down. It's a tutoring session, not a roasting session."
You sigh as the girl practically drools over your friend.
"Sure, Jungkook, sweetie. Thank you so much for your help so far," she giggles, flirtingly twirling her hair with her slender finger.
"Yeah, whatever," you reply as you feel Jungkook's hand slipping off your arm, the warm heat now gone.
Jungkook goes back to teaching the girl, oblivious of her seducing attempts. You roll your eyes as you look around the tutoring club—the turnout was better than you expected, honestly. For the first time in a classroom, however, you feel lost. You're not the best at teaching, (to be exact, you're the worst). Your patience is shorter than your height, (which is saying a lot), but everyone else in the math club seems to be teaching naturals.
Feeling a little guilty you can't do much to help out, you start to play with your pencil, twirling it around and doing cool tricks that you've accumulated over the years. But of course three minutes in, your hand loses grip of your writing utensil and it flings off, hitting the ground and starts rolling away from you.
Sighing irritably because you have to physically move to go get it, you stand up from your chair, crawling on the floor to reach your pencil. "Found you, you idiot," you tell your blue oxi-gel when you hear a light laugh coming from above you.
Facing forward, you come face-to-face with a pair of knees covered with smooth, black material. Looking up, you see your teacher smiling down at you.
"Were you actually talking to your pencil?" he teases, face set with a brilliant grin.
"I... uh..."
"God, what is this?" Jimin asks as he looks around his classroom filled with students. "Y/N, are you organizing a cult?" he whispers with a full grin plastered on his face.
"What no!" you protest as Jimin helps you stand up. "It was kinda supposed to be a surprise but..."
"It's a math tutoring club," Jungkook chimes in. "We're helping students reach that A, you know?"
"You guys made a tutoring club for me?" your teacher says, placing a hand to his heart. "I'm about to burst into tears."
You chuckle at Jimin's dramatized actions. "Well, no one deserves mistreatment. Ahem, especially not body objectification," you say as you glare at the girl Jungkook's tutoring. She rolls her eyes.
"Awww," Jimin coos. "You guys are amazing. You know what? We're ordering pizza, my treat!"
People cheer so loud your ears physically hurt.
Tumblr media
You sigh out, clutching your full stomach as you slide into the shotgun seat of Jimin's nice car. "Damn... Since we already ate, does that mean we're not eating dinner at your house tonight?"
Jimin chuckles lowly. "Why? Wanted to go to my house?"
Your cheeks blush red as you shake your head aggressively. "No! I was just saying..."
"Well, I mean, we didn't have dessert yet, didn't we?" Jimin suggests, smiling. His fingers softly brush against yours as he reaches for your seatbelt, buckling it for you. "You always forget to wear your seatbelt, Y/N," he laughs. "You never know when I might fuck up on the road."
"Hmph!" you say, crossing your arms over your rapidly being chest. "Stop babying me! I was gonna put it on this time!"
"That's what you say every time," Jimin chuckles as he starts his car with a press of a button. "Now, cupcakes or brownies?"
"Huh? Um, cupcakes?"
"Great! We'll stop by the market to get some ingredients. We're going to learn how to bake!"
Oh no. Why did that sound like a disaster waiting to happen?
But surprisingly, it was a miracle waiting to happen. You stuff your face with aesthetic, black frosting, occasionally biting at the soft, plush bread. "To think we can bake cupcakes but not cook ramen right the first time," you chuckle.
"To be fair, we actually used directions," Jimin says, neatly slicing up his cupcake to eat piece by piece.
You scrunch your nose. "You look like a prince who's too snooty to eat with his own two hands."
"Or maybe I want to be hygienic? You know, unlike you," Jimin teases as you huff in response. Jimin pokes at you, making you turn to him in exasperation.
"What?" you sigh.
"I dunno... I never really got a chance to thank you..."
You raise your eyebrows, thoroughly confused. "I mean, but it was a team effort..." you try to say modestly. "Besides, I didn't do much of the teaching. I mean can you believe this girl didn't know how to fac—"
Jimin rushes in for a hug, knocking the wind out of you—you lose all train of thought, you lose your voice and all sense of functionality. All you can hear is your heart beating wildly in your chest and Jimin's steady breaths against your ear.
"Y/N... Thank you," he whispers, gripping you tighter. "I know it was you who came up with the idea. And I just—I'm so touched. When I told you my problems, I only expected you to listen, maybe, I don't know, sympathize? But you took my problems and found a solution, putting it into action. No one's ever done that for me before... I don't even know what to say..." your teacher trails off, still hugging you tightly. "I'm emotional, I know... But I almost broke down crying when I saw you and your friends hosting this club... all for me."
Your brain turns into mush at Jimin's heartfelt confession, and you can't help but hug him back, burying your face into his shoulder. Words can't seem to make it past your mouth—you can't afford to ruin the moment by saying something completely stupid.
But that's when you feel it. The rapid thumping of a heart. Except it's not yours—it's beating faster than yours.
It's Jimin's.
Tumblr media
You walk into Jimin's class slightly earlier than usual, your phone pressed against your ear as you bob your head up and down, staying silent for a few seconds and then talking away.
"I know, I know, I miss you too, Jin," you say just as you slide into your comfortable seat, slipping your backpack off your aching shoulder.
"Yeah, I know, I love you too. Of course, I'm still alive!" you huff, rolling your eyes. "And no! I didn't burn the house down... yet. No, we don't eat ramen daily—we eat it every other day," you protest.
You're quiet again as Jin gives you a piece of his mind.
"Yes, I know ramen's bad for me," you sigh. "Fine. We'll try to make salad or something today. Mhm. Yeah. Yes, I'm in his class right now. No, Jin! I can't just hand my phone over to him, are you out of your mind? You can call him on his phone at some other time."
You sigh loudly as your cousin rambles on the phone. "Wait. What?!" you suddenly shriek, causing a few early-comers in the class to stare at you in shellshock. Quickly lowering your head in embarrassment, you aggressively grasp your phone with both hands. "What do you mean you're going to be away for another month?" you whisper angrily. "Are you serious? Why does the drama team have to be so good?"
Jin chuckles on the line as you pout. "I know, congrats and all but you've been away for too long. Stop teasing me, I just miss you!" you huff.
Your cousin attempts to explain himself as you sit through it all, nodding your head occasionally. "Okay, then," you say in a sad, defeated tone. "I guess, good luck... Anyways, I've got a test this period, gotta fly." You pause, frowning. "Of course I studied! Who do you think I am?! Yeah, well thanks, I'm pretty confident. Mhm. Yeah. Have fun. Love you too. Yup. Bye." Smiling softly, you end the call with your cousin, slipping your phone into your backpack to replace it with your lucky pencil and eraser. There, now you're completely ready for the math test.
From the corner of your eye, you see Jimin, watching you. When he catches your sight, he gives you a small smile paired with a discreet thumbs-up. Your heart flutters.
Gosh darn diddly dang.
Ever since that night you felt his heart beating wildly in his chest, you can't help but wonder if maybe, possibly, hopefully, you're not in a one-sided crush. It was pretty plausible Jimin had always been so caring because he liked you back—either that or he majorly friendzoned you.
The annoying school bell blares, throwing you out of your thoughts, and as if exactly on cue, your teacher stands up from his desk, taking graceful steps to the front of the class. He clears his throat to gain the attention of still-rowdy students. "I hope everybody's prepared," Jimin says as he shifts from the weight of stacked tests. "If you studied polar curves as I said, you'll be fine for the unit test."
A low murmur fills the class as your peers start to panic.
"What the fuck is a polar curve?"
"Shit, I don't even know what unit this is!"
"Definite integrals, you shithead."
"Well goddamn, I'm gonna fail again."
You cock your head. Yeah, definite integrals might be challenging at first, but they weren't hard—it just required a lot of practice. But something told you most of your classmates didn't even know how to spell 'practice.'
As Jimin passes the tests out, you hear students groan from their first glance of questions.
"No noise, no talking!" your friend reminds his students. "If you need extra scratch paper, pencils or erasers, they're up here in the front; you know the drill. Good luck to you all!"
But you can barely hear your teacher as you're already racing to finish up a problem on the exam. You've figured long ago that Jimin's test questions were always in order from hardest to easiest—which explains why most kids rarely finish. You, on the other hand, learned to immediately flip over your tests and work your way from the back to front.
You don't hear anything, nor do you see anything except for the all too familiar graphs and curves printed out on white paper. Your favorite pencil flies across the exam faster than your mile time, and soon, you're finished.
Wiping your sweaty and cramped hands on your jeans, you look up at the clock in the front of the classroom. You've finished at least twenty minutes early. You sigh softly. I don't feel like checking answers.
Almost instinctively, your eyes glance at your teacher's desk—it was starting to become a habit to look at him. But also, you wanted to see if he was grading the math tests from earlier periods. Except, he most clearly wasn't.
Why? Because he was looking at you. And your eyes meet. Electricity courses through your veins and you swear your heart stops beating for a few seconds. You can't hold the gaze as you quickly turn your head, releasing a breath you didn't know you had held.
Goddamn. Now, this is awkward.
Trying to shake off the awkwardness, you take a small breath and grip your pencil in your hands again. Maybe it's time to check answers.
Except—except, you can see out of the corner of your eye, your teacher still watching you. It wasn't a creepy stare though, no. It was like a handsome prince lovingly admiring his beautiful princess. Well, you were no beautiful princess, and though Jimin might be handsome, he was no prince. But still. His gaze made you feel... secure and even admired. Your heart flutters in your chest.
Why is he watching me?
You're too scared of the answer to even possibly ponder it.
So, sighing quietly, you use all your willpower to pretend like your teacher is not watching you as you cross your legs and tuck a strand of loose hair behind your ear. You give your lucky pencil a nice squeeze. It's time to check answers.
Tumblr media
"Did you know you frown when you concentrate?" Jimin asks as he does the dishes, diligently washing a bowl that had been previously filled with a healthy salad.
You sit on the kitchen counter, making some tea as you cock your head. From all that watching, he would know all of my stupid behaviors when it comes to test-taking. But you feign ignorance. "How would you know?"
"Well, not to sound weird but sometimes I watch my students take their tests," Jimin says as he dries his wet hands on a nearby towel, then sauntering over to sit next to you on the kitchen counter.
Your heart falls. So I'm not special. He watches everyone.
"No, not all of my students... I only ever watch you," your teacher admits as he scratches the back of his neck in what seems like slight embarrassment.
Your heart leaps in your chest. You don't know how to pirouette, twirl, turn, but your heart was surely doing it at the moment. Was this it? Was he confessing? Were you not in a one-sided crush?
"It's because I care for you," he starts awkwardly. "I mean, don't you tend to watch things you care for? Just to see if they're alright? I dunno..."
Ohohoho, you have no idea.
You nod enthusiastically. "Mhm, of course." Your lips stretch out into a large smile—you're unable to control it. You feel warmer than the cup of tea in your hands. "So you truly care for me?" you tease slightly, casually nudging Jimin.
He nudges you back, laughing. "Of course, Y/N, you're like a best friend to me."
Your eye twitches slightly, your smiles wavers and vanishes and you don't feel as warm anymore.
Well shit, you were friendzoned.
Tumblr media
Smiling in accomplishment, you stretch back from your seat, mentally celebrating the finishing of your homework. Your blasted teachers had given you some extra weekend work, but jokes on them, you finished it all in—you glance at your watch—seven hours.
Wait a minute. Seven hours?! You do a double-take, wiping your eyes with the back of your hand and polishing the glass of your watch. The delicate, silver hands still pointed all signs that it was indeed, 10 pm.
Well fuck. I've literally been at school seven more hours than I should've. I've been at school for practically 15 hours! That's more than half of the hours in a day—I spent approximately 63% of the whole day at school!!! And even worse, I mISSED DINNER!
You take deep breaths to calm yourself, immediately looking up to see—no surprise—Jimin working hard at his desk. His eyebrows were scrunched up cutely, and he was biting his pink lips in concentration. The sight of him instantaneously calms you down.
But then you notice Jimin looks frustrated, stressed even. You always admire him for taking care of his own problems, yet sometimes you wish he'd learn to burden others with his dilemmas.
Slowly and quietly, you creep up behind your teacher, looking over his shoulder. "Need any help, Mr. Park?" you whisper in his ear, a small, teasing smile plastered on your lips.
Jimin jumps slightly, turning around to look at you. His serious look is replaced with a reciprocated bright smile. He flutters his eyelashes and runs his fingers through his silky hair, refusing to break eye contact with you. "Oh c'mon no one's around," he says, chuckling. "Jimin will do."
"Yeah, no shit no one's around," you pout slightly, casually placing your chin on Jimin's shoulder. Ever since he majorly friendzoned you, you have to admit it was easier to have physical contact—though your heart beats wildly in your chest every time the two of you touch.
"Hmm..." your teacher hums, twirling his red correcting pen. "It'll take just a bit more... Is our little Y/N bored?" he asks as he reaches out to mockingly pat your head.
You groan dramatically.
"What time is it?" Jimin asks absentmindedly, letting your head rest on his shoulder.
"10," you mutter lazily, wanting to doze off with your face up against Jimin's warm neck.
"WHAT?!" your teacher shouts, shifting suddenly to grasp your arms and bring your whole body in front of him. He even tugs you forward, closer to him. Your heart is already having its own mini explosions, not being able to comprehend such closeness from your ultimate crush.
"Why didn't you tell me it was this late, Y/N?" Jimin cries. "Shit, I'm so sorry, I made you wait so long! God, I lost track of time!"
You just shrug, although a bit surprised at his outburst. At this moment, you're just worried Jimin'll hear the aggressive thumping of your poor heart—it can't take this anymore. You're definitely not built for unrequited love. "It's all good," you say, trying to smile calmly. "It's no big deal, really."
Apparently, your stomach thinks otherwise as it lets loose a large growl, much to your horrification. "Oops," you whisper.
At that, Jimin runs his fingers through his hair, sighing. "Fuck, we've been here for seven hours, Y/N, it is a big deal!" He grabs both of your hands, taking you by surprise. "We skipped dinner! I swear to god, Jin will kill me if he found out!"
You giggle. It was slightly amusing to watch Jimin fret so much. "What if we don't tell him?" you whisper mischievously, leaning forward. You're trying so, so hard not to scream in the utter joy that your crush is literally holding your hands right now.
Nope, I'm not going to acknowledge that at all, you tell yourself dutifully.
Now you're waiting for Jimin to answer, to say something funny, or witty as usual. Yet, he doesn't. Instead, he's actually quite silent—it doesn't seem normal. You take a peek at his face to make sure he doesn't look sick or anything, or maybe it was just a dumb excuse you made up to check his ethereal features out.
That turned out to be a big mistake.
You peer into Jimin's eyes, only to catch them looking at your lips. His eyes flutter back up to yours, and now the two of you are staring at each other. Your eyes speak a language only the two of you can understand.
His eyes tell you to inch closer to him, to part your lips.
Your eyes tell him to tug you into his lap, an all too familiar action. He doesn't let go of your hands.
You can feel his breath, hear his breath.
Hell, you can hear his heart. And you're not mistaken—you swear on your own life that you hear the quickened pounding.
And still, you're staring right into his soft, but slightly hooded eyes—never breaking contact. You're so close. So, so close to him, the closest you've ever been.
He slowly, tantalizingly slowly leans in, almost to give you a chance to back out. Oh, hell no. You're staying.
His beautiful, breathtaking face is so close that your eyes are almost crossing to meet his. Then, he closes his eyes just as he closes the minuscule gap between the two of you.
Your lips meet.
You don't know how something can go by so quickly and slowly at the same time. Each movement of your connected mouths is so languid, so relaxed, yet quick, but victorious fireworks are exploding behind you.
Straddling Jimin, you feel his body heat, your bare legs chafing against the smooth material of his slacks. It's so close to heaven that it is.
He works his magic, lips pulling and parting at the precise moments, his tongue finding its way into your waiting mouth. You can barely function from the heat of the moment, but you realize that you are glad he doesn't taste like beer this time.
Jimin sweetly squeezes your hands that are encompassed in his, leaning back slightly for both of you to breathe. Immediately, your eyes are open, and they lock onto his. But as if in a time restraint, both of you hurriedly shut your eyes again and lean in to meet each other's lips once more.
It's euphoric, really.
And for the first time in your life, you get to feel what physical affection is like. This one's not a lustful, drunken kiss, it's so much more than that. You put your heart in this, and you hope Jimin did the same. It surely felt like it.
With one last, sweet and soft, lingering kiss, your teacher, crush and friend leisurely pulls away. You almost lean forward to follow his lips—you guess you miss them on yours that much.
Your eyes flutter open, meeting Jimin's hooded ones.
Goddamn. You don't know how to feel, what to say, what to do, what to think. Your hands are still tightly enclosed in his.
"Oh..." you breathe out, hoping Jimin would say something for you, anything. But he doesn't. He remains silent. It's so not like him.
Regret starts to pour into your body, coursing through your veins. It feels like poison. You can feel yourself wilt, as you realize—it was still one-sided, Jimin had merely been caught up in the heat of the moment, again.
"Fuck," you whisper, mostly to yourself. "Fuck," you say louder, tears starting to well up in your eyes. Jimin loosens his grip on your hands, and you slide them away, the warmth all gone. You search for your teacher's face for anything, any sign that he was okay with what both of you had just done. But again, nothing.
"Oh my god. What have we done?" you mutter, looking down and away. You were yet to slide away from Jimin's lap, but you couldn't bear to move away from that sort of comforting warmth.
"Shit, Y/N," Jimin breathes. It's the first phrase he says after the... well, kiss. "I'm so sorry," he mutters, his hand fluttering around your face to cup your cheek, but you flinch away. Goddammit, Y/N, why?
"Fuck, I'm so sorry, Y/N," Jimin whispers, he tugs his hand back to his chest. "It was a mistake! I didn't mean it. Oh god, don't tell Jin." He notices you're still on his lap and jumps up, making you fall down onto the cold, classroom floor—you're too shocked to react much. "God, I'm so sorry!" He tries to help you up, but you shake your head and stand up on your own.
"Y/N. I'm so sorry. It was a mistake," Jimin repeats. "It really was."
Your head is spinning, and you don't know what to say, or do, for that matter. "Then, a mistake it was," you finally manage to say, your voice a bit shaky. "Can we go now?"
Tumblr media
I made out with him again. And he wasn't even drunk this time.
You repeatedly have that thought, over and over and over again. You can't seem to get the feeling, the sounds, the sight out of your head. You'd given your all into that little kiss, but Jimin deemed it was merely 'a mistake.'
That didn't hurt at all, nope, not at all.
You're quite good at lying to yourself. Because you know that hurt you a lot. God, I'm so humiliated. You just want to roll up in a small ball and throw yourself into a deep, dark corner. But you can't. Unfortunately, that shit is only figurative.
Sighing, you take a slight peek at Jimin in the driver's seat. His face is completely emotionless, which makes you worry.
We just ruined a perfectly good friendship, goddammit.
You're dropped off at your house; no words are exchanged between you and Jimin, you don't even turn back to give him a parting wave (like you usually do). Unlocking your front door, you quickly walk inside, slumping down to the floor immediately. With your back leaning heavily against the door, you bury your face in your hands.
Things had been going so well. Life had been going so well.
Now it seemed like you lost your best friend—who knows what more you might lose?

The Serpentine War Ch. 10
Chapter 10: The Anacondrai General
They arrived at Ouroboros the next day.
Ray was reminded of travelling with Wu after he left his father. That time, they’d walked most of the way. Something about “training before training”.
Wu had sent word beforehand that they were coming. Still, they were met with a ring of Anacondrai blades when they landed. Ray was immediately on guard, wondering why they’d agreed not to bring weapons. Wu, however, stood tall, undeterred.
“Good warriors,” he greeted the Anacondrai. “Lead on.”
Ray tried not to feel like they were prisoners as the Anacondrai marched them through the city. The sky was clear, the desert sun hot on their backs. Unlike in Ninjago City, the streets of Ouroboros were wide and straight, pointing true toward the city center. Large, rectangular buildings patterned themselves along the road. Within tall, narrow doorways, Ray caught sight of more Anacondrai. Not warriors. Ray had never realized there would be Serpentine citizens in the great Anacondrai city.
There were Serpentine on the streets too, bustling about their daily business. Members of other tribes were represented among them. All made way for their small procession to pass. The expressions on their faces spoke of murder.
This was a mistake, Ray thought. The sight of Serpentine civilians softened his heart a little, but not enough to trust these warriors and their violet blades. They could attack in an instant and the Alliance would lose two Masters and its leader.
A wall rose ahead of them, composed of small keeps. They strode between the sandy walls and entered a huge, round courtyard. Except - the keeps weren’t just walls. They were stands, like a stadium. This was an arena.
Anacondrai warriors filed in behind them and lined the base of the stands. And in the huge throne carved from a golden snake head, Ray got his first look at the Anacondrai General.
Arcturus was larger than his brethren, majestic neck curling proudly and menacing green eyes. He wore golden armor over his shoulders and chest, engraved in red - even from where he stood, Ray could tell the pieces were beautifully crafted. His blacksmith hands itched to get a closer look.
Wu bowed respectfully. “You know me, General Arcturus. My brother and I have defended these lands for longer than you have reigned. I speak for the people of Ninjago.”
“You do not speak for all of them,” Arcturus rumbled. Ray’s spine went cold at the sound.
Wu nodded in agreement. “I know. That’s why I am here.”
“I know why you are here.” Arcturus rose angrily from his throne. “And I am not a fool, Son of the First Spinjitzu Master. Your desires lie with the humans of Ninjago.”
“Forgive me,” Wu said. “They are my people, as the Serpentine are yours. But I wish for us to come to an agreement.” He raised his voice for all to hear. “We have been made aware that there are Serpentine who do not wish to fight. We share this desire. We hoped that our mutual interest could stop any further fighting.”
The general slithered to edge of his podium, glaring. “Why should I trust the word of a human?”
“Don’t. Trust the Master of Fire.” Wu stepped aside to reveal Ray to the crowd. Ray waved, trying not to feel like an imposter. He was the Master of Fire. There was no reason to fear, and no reason for the Serpentine to think otherwise.
“He fought honorably in the Battle of Jamanakai Village just weeks ago,” Wu continued. “But he has come to sue for peace. If the Master of Fire is willing, shouldn’t we be also?”
Murmurs rippled through the ranks of guards, but they stood stiffly, steadily watching for their general’s orders.
He’s not gonna go for it, Ray thought, as Arcturus leered above. This was a HUGE mistake.
“The Master of Fire,” Arcturus mused. “And you expect me to simply believe you?”
Wu frowned. “General?”
The general seated himself on his throne again. “You were a fool to come here, Master Wu. Guards - kill them.”
The Serpentine closed in.
~~~
You expect me to simply believe you?
Ray didn’t remember the day his mother died. He’d been too young. The memory of her was more a feeling than a moment. The feeling of belonging somewhere, of being someone to someone else.
He was tired of living without that feeling. No longer.
It was there, that burning in his chest. That was his. That was him. Ray was the fire. Even about to die, no one could take that from him. He was truly part of the Alliance and no one could take that from him. He was in this moment and no one could take that from him. Not his father. Not General Arcturus.
They would not simply believe. They would know it, as he knew it.
He was the Master of Fire.
An Anacondrai stabbed at Maya.
The fire ROARED.
Ray was wreathed in red. It licked outward, avoiding Maya and Wu. For the first time, the flames felt like an extension of himself. Perfect control. Ray didn’t even have to move; it followed his thoughts. A globe of red rose around him, shining like liquid silver in the air. His heart was loud in his ears.
“Ray!” Maya shouted. “You’re floating!”
“I know,” he said. The globe lifted him higher. The Anacondrai were scattering now, headed for the keeps.
“Oh, no you don’t,” Ray muttered. At his bidding, a wave of fire shot around the ring of stands, blocking the exits.
Ray turned toward the Anacondrai General. Arcturus didn’t look afraid, but his guards did.
Ray’s voice boomed without shouting. “I am the true Master of Fire. No one can take that from me.” He gestured to his raging fire. “Your ancestors respected the flames. I suggest you follow their example.”
Silence fell over the arena. All eyes were on Arcturus. Everything hinged on his response.
At last, Arcturus bowed his head slightly.
That was enough. The fire snapped toward Ray like metal to a magnet. In a moment, the only shade of red left in the stadium was his glassy shield.
But even that faded, and Ray was left as just himself. He felt warm, for the first time in a long time. More himself than he had ever been in his life.
All the Serpentine were staring at him. Ray turned to face Maya and Wu. Wu was smiling. And Maya...Ray couldn’t read her expression.
The deep voice of the Serpentine General broke the silence.
“Leave us,” he ordered. “I would speak to the son of the First Spinjitzu Master alone.”
~~~
After the stadium cleared, General Arcturus slithered down from his podium. He was smaller up close, though still a good head taller than Wu. He regarded a circle of ash as he crossed over it. The heat from the fire still burned in the air like a living memory. The teacher in Wu was thrilled for Ray; the diplomat wondered if threatening to burn Ouroboros to the ground was the best way to make peace. It seemed far too Garmadon-y.
“What is it you want, Master Wu?” Arcturus asked.
“What I asked for,” Wu replied. “Peace.”
“Is that all? Truly?” Arcturus circled him, his long tail trailing behind in the sand. Wu did not turn to follow with his eyes, as a show of trust, but his back itched in expectation of a blade.
“Do you know the story of Aspheera and the Great Deceiver?” the general finally asked; Wu stiffened. “It is a story slowly fading into myth. But it speaks of a human child who broke our ancient treaty and betrayed the sorceress Aspheera.”
Wu replied softly. “I know this story. The way I heard it, Aspheera was the deceiver.”
“Ah, Aspheera was no saint, but neither was the human.” Arcturus stopped, his expression questioning. “This is not the only story. There is a reason our children are taught not to trust humans. So I ask you again - what do you want?”
Wu saw no reason to lie. “I want our villages back, along with the prisoners you took. I want things to return to the way they were.” He paused, then added, “And I want to know why you came for us in the first place. I know there’s a good reason.”
Arcturus scowled. He was the epitome of Anacondrai strength, the image of old Serpentine kings. There was honor in his eyes. “You say you wish for things to return to the way they were. But I have studied you humans. I know your wars, your history. I do not believe we could achieve such a peace now.”
“You underestimate us.”
“We shall see. As for your prisoners, they are well taken care of. They are insurance, and will be returned to the villages once Ninjago is under Serpentine rule.”
“So that’s it. World dominion? Do you presume to overthrow Shintaro and Metalonia as well?” Wu shook his head with a small, sardonic chuckle. “If all you want is power, I must say I’m disappointed.”
Arcturus turned his back, even despite his professed distrust of humans. His sword hilt glinted in the sun. “Our vendetta is against the humans alone. Our prophecies say one among you will bring the destruction of Ninjago.” He peered at Wu over a broad, armored shoulder. “There are even humans who believe this.”
Alarms bells rang in Wu’s head. “Do you? Believe it?”
“Do you not?” Arcturus retorted. “Can’t you feel it turning, Son of the First Spinjitzu Master?”
“What does that mean?”
Arcturus arched his snaky neck at the sky. “If you cannot feel it, I will not try to explain it to you.”
Unsettled, Wu pressed on. “Can’t we come to some agreement?”
The general watched him for a moment. Finally, he said, “I will send diplomats to my generals. I will halt their next attack. And I will make you a deal. From here on, the Serpentine will not strike first. Until the humans do. Once the humans attack, the war will continue as it has.”
“So all I have to do is keep the peace amongst my own?” Wu nodded. “A test, then.”
“You understand well.”
“This will not be easy.”
“Nevertheless,” Arcturus said. “Do you agree to these terms?”
Wu sensed this was the best he would get out of the old general. As such, he replied, “I agree.”
Arcturus dipped his head and said, “Good” in that rumbling voice of his. He slithered back up to his throne. As he sat, he called down, “Also, have your Master of Fire return the Anacondrai blade he stole in Jamanakai Village. It think he’s well enough off without it.”

whatever our souls are made of (his and mine are the same), pt. 2
Hi!
Welcome back to the second one-shot in this collection.
I hope you guys like it!
You can also read it here.
See you guys tomorrow!
to be (the man in your heart)
Prompt: fantasy vs reality
Summary: Everybody sees Ichigo the way they want to see him. But only Rukia sees him whole.
“Today we’re going to talk about the hero’s journey,” the professor drawls out one cloudy August morning, ignorant of the blank stares and yawning coming from his students. He probably thinks he’s being engaging enough, completely unaware that he has already lost his students.
Even Ichigo feels lost before the introduction.
He would probably have paid more attention if he hadn’t felt so drowsy.
Then again, it’s barely eight am on a Friday.
And he doesn’t know precisely why, but lately it has been hard to focus on anything more than a couple of minutes. He hopes this doesn’t get reflected on his grades though. He doesn’t need a repeat of his less than stellar grades the last year and a half of high school.
He can’t help but curse himself for choosing to attend an early morning class.
Although it’s not like it is entirely his fault.
By all means, this class was supposed to be engaging. Or at least Ichigo had been excited to take it when he had enrolled in a course about folktales, particularly Western ones. The purpose of this class is not only to study tales from European cultures, but to analyze them according to different approaches and literary theories. As someone majoring in English Literature, this class had seemed essential and Ichigo had not hesitated to take it. Now he realizes it is less about the folktales and more about the theory of what makes something a story.
Which is not really what he had wanted to study. But… can’t do anything about it now.
There have been only two other classes, as it is the beginning of the semester. They haven’t really done much so far, but today, they are apparently starting with the basics. This means they are studying the monomyth, also known as the hero’s journey, a way to categorize stories featuring heroes. Because in most folktales, heroes are the protagonists of stories, and everyone else is just someone there to help the hero or to oppose them.
 (Ichigo hates this idea)
“But before we start, can anybody tell me what a hero is?” The professor asks, interrupting his lecture and startling his sleepy students.
Have we mentioned that Ichigo hates heroes?
It is definitely too early in the morning to think in general, much less about such a contrived term. But yet, here he is. In this class he himself had chosen to take. Past Ichigo had been such an idiot, huh?
Before he can continue down this line, a girl suddenly raises her hand, distracting him from his musings.
“Yes, Yamada-san?” The professor calls her.
“A hero is the person who saves the day in a story.” She obediently recites, as if she had memorized her answer before saying it out loud.
Ichigo can’t help but roll his eyes at her.
But of course the goody-two-shoes of the class would give the most basic of definitions.
Because that is the only thing heroes are good for.
Saving the day, as if that was their purpose, their whole life, who they are.
 Saviors.
 (Ichigo hates this idea)
“Yes, in very broad terms, you’re correct, Yamada-san.” The professor says in such a dismissing way that stops Yamada from preening any further. “However, what is the essence of a hero? What makes him any different to other characters?” He asks again, prompting his students to elaborate more on their answers.
 Another student raises his hand.
“That he’s the protagonist of the tale.”
“Right, Uehara-san. He or she is the protagonist in most stories. But that is just a characteristic within the story. What I am asking is what makes a hero, well, the hero? What is it that makes a person act heroic?”
 Ichigo cannot help but snort.
In hindsight, maybe he shouldn’t have, because that makes the teacher focus all his attention on him.
“Ah. Kurosaki-san, do you know the answer to the question?” The professor seems to ask almost mockingly.
 Ichigo bits his lip.
Because, try as he might to hide it, he knows what is it the professor is asking, probably better than anyone in the room, even the professor himself.
“Selflessness.” He replies at length. “A willingness to sacrifice everything just to protect someone else.”
The professor excitedly moves his head up and down. “Yes! Thank you, Kurosaki-san. The reason heroes are saviors is because they are selfless!”
And he continues on with his lecture, talking about heroes, villains, monsters and damsels in distress, but Ichigo is no longer paying attention.
 Ichigo hates heroes.
Well, not heroes per se, but the idea of them.
Selfless and protective and smart and charismatic and just plain good.
 They don’t seem human.
There are human qualities in them, of course, but there is also something entirely unrealistic about them.
Because nobody is perfectly good all the time.
 Where are the bad qualities?
 Where’s the ugly in heroes?
 He cannot find it.
Which is why Ichigo prefers the protagonists of tragedies.
None of Shakespeare’s heroes are ever, well heroic. Not even in comedies.
There is always something beautifully damaged about all of them.
A tragic flaw, it is called.
That singular defect which unleashes the tragedy.
You might say that it is that which ends up biting them in the ass.
For Othello, it was his jealousy.
 For Macbeth, his ambition.
 For Hamlet, his inaction.
And for Ichigo, it is his own weakness.
Because that is what, in fact, almost destroyed not only his world, but the entire universe as every being knows it.
Nobody blames him, of course, because in his reality, he is the hero of the story. And he hates it. Every part of it. How he can become blameless of everything even when he had caused it or had failed to stop it.
And he doesn’t think of himself as such.
 A hero, that is.
Though everyone sees him this way, from his sisters in all of their innocence, to his friends, to the whole Soul Society.
Why do they keep praising him when they had almost died because of him?
Why do they hail him as a hero when the danger is not over, when, if he even dares to be happy, that demon of a man is going to come back to destroy them all?
 Ichigo doesn’t get it.
Heroes don’t really exist in real life.
And the heroes in all stories have to be perfect, or else how are they even good?
 It’s a load of shit.
Ichigo is not a hero, as he protects people out of his own selfishness.
Because, deep down, he doesn’t want to feel alone.
Because he wants all of his loved ones to be safe and happy.
 And that’s it.
 That’s the reason.
But others don’t see it that way.
They see him exactly as all the heroes in tales.
All good and strong and able to overcome anything that gets in his way without giving up.
 A prince charming.
 A guardian angel.
But he’s just...not any of those things.
And he’s done trying to live up to their expectations.
It was easier when he was fifteen, to go along with whatever they wanted him to be.
So he acted happy when around his sisters and father, even though he was still carrying all the weight of the guilt of his mother’s death.
It seemed easier, back then, to try to appear unaffected by that and all the little things, like the bullying he had suffered due to his hair color.
And at school, he had tried to be just another guy who just happened to have brightly colored hair.
His friends knew this Ichigo. And not to say he was a phony, but he wasn’t all himself either.
He never showed them the scars scattered all around his soul for fear they would leave him behind.
Because who could ever love someone as hideous as he?
(Someone who had caused his own mother’s death)
But t had gotten better for a while.
When he had become a Shinigami and had known the strength of carrying a zanpakutō and all that comes with that power.
However, he had just as quickly learned that such power came with the responsibility of not just protecting his loved ones, but anyone, really.
That he couldn’t just stand still while others needed his help.
 He needed to do better.
And so, he had tried really hard to become the kind of person that was deserving of that power.
Ichigo had become so good at it that others had bought it, especially after his first true test.
What had followed had been months and months of trying to prove he was as heroic as others saw him.
Because not only did the Soul Society see him as one, but also his closest friends, who, even though had seen him fall, still thought of him as a savior.
And that weighted on him even more.
He started wondering if, after so many battles fought together, they saw the true Ichigo or the mask he wore.
It was only after the last war, when he had so utterly failed and they had still given him praise, that he had found the answer.
Chad and Inoue and Renji and, hell, even Byakuya, lived in a fantasy where he was always strong and would power through everything. That he truly never failed.
Even Ishida was sometimes guilty of that.
(After Yhwach was defeated, saying he had won, as if it hadn’t been Ishida who had done him in)
They all congratulated him, patted him on the back, and happily resumed their lives because Ichigo had won again. He had defeated yet another villain and thus they could live their lives in peace.
But all he had wanted to do was scream.
He had been defeated over and over by the Quincy King, and the only reason he wasn’t a threat anymore was because Ishida had been there to deliver the final blow. And even then, absolutely no one was sure if he was gone for good.
And the reason why was because Ichigo had been weak.
If he had had true strength, he would have been able to win for sure.
And this doubt wouldn’t be eating him away.
Now every night, before going to bed, even two years after the war had been won, Ichigo still repeats Yhwach’s threat like a broken record.
During his happiest moment, the Quincy King will come back to kill him and destroy everything, according to his plan.
 The thought terrifies him.
To think he had failed them all, because at any moment, Yhwach might come back, and it will be it for the universe.
 He’s no hero.
 No savior.
Because even if the Soul Society hasn’t said so, he knows they are all still in danger, and it all depends on his happiness.
 And Ichigo is selfish.
He could have sacrificed that promise of happiness for everybody’s sake. Yet he still holds onto it and is unwilling to let go.
He’s not the person they all expected him to be.
 And that weighs on him.
(If only he was as heroic as his mother─)
 “Hey, Ichigo! Welcome back!”
It is Rukia who distracts him from his dark thoughts as he opens his bedroom door and finds her already there, having come over for the weekend as she has done for the past few months.
And for the first time in the day, he smiles.
“Hey.” He greets her, letting his bag drop on the floor, and joining her on his bed.
“How was university today? What did you learn?” Rukia asks him excitedly, and he can’t stop his lips from quirking up at how adorable she is, wanting to learn about college through him.
“Kinda boring.” He shrugs, content to just observe her as she raises an eyebrow at him.
 “Why? What did you study?”
“We talked about heroes.” He answers her, moving up his head to appreciate the way her skin glows in this lighting.
“Heroes?” She scrunches her nose like a bunny.
“Yeah. Like in tales and stuff.”
 “Oh right.”
Then they fall into a comfortable silence as they are wont to do. Ichigo takes his time to delight himself in the image she delivers. And as she is all light and white and pureness, he remembers a piece of memory he keeps close at heart ─the one and only time he has felt like a true hero.
There’s fire and a will and a promise.
And in the midst of all, there’s Rukia and her big doe eyes staring right at him as if he were a miracle.
 “Yo!”
I remember now… the reason why I wanted to save you so much.
“Hey, Rukia.” He suddenly calls out to her.
 “Yeah?”
“Do you think I’m a hero?”
She snorts and flicks his forehead. “Nope.”
“Hey!” He rubs his assaulted head, but is more intrigued by her answer.
“I mean… we could say you are… but you’re more… you know…” She gesticulates towards him.
 “Uhu.”
“You’re Ichigo.” Rukia says at last.
He thinks he understands it then.
Because if there is one person in this world that has seen him at his best and worst and has still got him, is Rukia.
She is the only one to have ever seen him whole.
And even when she knows about all his failings, she still has the capability to hold him in high esteem.
Because for her, Ichigo is who he is and so much more.
“Thanks, Rukia.” He says with more emotion than he probably should have, but it is worth it when she beams at him.
 “That’s my line.”
 Ichigo still hates heroes.
 Probably will always do.
But for Rukia, he thinks he might be able to become a little bit more heroic.
 To be less selfish.
To be the man he is in her heart.
To be a little more like she is.
