Sure! This gives me a chance to also say publicly that RoseVerse!Ink is CANONICALLY AUTISTIC. I stated this in the QNA livestream I did a while back, but I know not everyone watched that as it was mostly chaos. Most characters in Roseverse are not giving canon mental illnesses or mental disorders because anyone can project themselves onto these characters and find traits they can relate to. For example, Killer has no canon mental disorder and is only based on my experience as a 15 year old. Whatever you see fit to fit his mental health is uo to viewer interpretation. But Ink is one of the few exceptions to this as he is canonically autistic.

Now with that out of the way, what was Ink’s childhood like? This will be long!! Prepare!

Ink was created at three years old and was nonverbal up until he was seven. He hardly used sign language besides signing to show he was hungry, he wanted more of something, or to say yes or no. Error and Nightmare were always worried about this, and they did not have the resources to see a doctor to have help in figuring out why Ink wasn’t talking. They had to do with what they could, and learned to work with Ink’s lack of speech. He is capable of more sign language, and does use it when he wants to have a conversation, but that is not until he gets closer to six, where he gets more interested in joining in on talks.

Ink from the ages of 3-5 was very all over the place. He was blunt, and had many outbursts and meltdowns due to Error and Nightmare simply not knowing how to handle an autistic child. While he could not verbally communicate, he would get very frustrated if he wasn’t understood, and often resorted to tantrums and throwing his toys or food when he would want something and Error and Nightmare had no idea what to supply. He also was touch repulsed between the ages of 4-6, and preferred to do his own thing. He’d ignore when people would try to talk to him if he wasn’t in the mood for it, and Error and Nightmare learned to leave it at that. What he tended to do was draw, finger paint, solo play with toys, and sort things. Error once stole him many markers, and rather than jump to draw, he spent hours reorganizing them over and over into different shades and colors. (Based on a experience of my own childhood lol)

Error and Nightmare worked with Ink’s needs and unintentionally created a household perfect for neurodivergent children. The lights were dim, safe food was always in stock, loud noises were kept to a minimum, and Ink was given headphones and comfortable clothes to help his meltdowns.

When he hit seven, he finally started to speak verbally, and then never shut up LMAO. He also became hungry for touch, and was often jumping at Nightmare at random (since he knew Error couldn’t handle it) and climbing all over him. While with Error, he always made his presence known before latching on and not letting go for hours. However, he tended to like Nightmare’s hugs the most, since he’d place his tentacles over him and make a little cocoon of safety. This is also when he got the burst of curiosity for the outside and would run through the woods and grab random animals from trees and bring them home (much to Error’s horror). Think Ame from Wolf Children. That was very much how he was. A wild child who was always getting cuts and bruises but smiling big. Once, he even snapped his arm falling from a tree while in the care of Reaper, and Nightmare and Error couldn’t heal him enough. He forever sports a scar on his arm but continues to climb trees anyways.

When he got a bit older, ages 9-10, he mellowed out a bit with the understanding of his powers. Nightmare helped him a lot with the control of his abilities and magic, and with that came maturity and peace. He preferred to keep the house tidy and fetch dinner still, but in a much calmer way. He’d go out and catch fish or use his magic to catch squirrels. He’d always come home at a good time and would help Errror around the house. He wasn’t as loud and excitable, especially since he became aware of who he was supposed to be at ten, and had to come to terms with the fact that Error was meant to be his competitor, and they were breaking those rules.

Overall, he grows a lot and becomes a child Error and Nightmare are proud of.

Then, on his eleventh birthday, he disappears.

Tragic, truly. It’s a mystery of what happened to the poor kid.

So, I think the first and most obvious reason I don't like Jackie/Eric is because obviously if Eric is with Jackie then he is not with Donna and that is just not gonna fly. Eric and Donna are my OTP, and I am not open to other pairings. That's... I mean, that could be the whole post. 😂

But I do have some further thoughts.

First of all, I actually think Eric and Jackie do have things in common (and I think it's a reason they could be friends). They're both into dolls/roller disco/they have similar hobbies (they would totally go antiquing together), I would describe both of them as kind of traditional, and I think they had similar desires for a long-term relationship. Not a similarity but a compatibility: Jackie likes to boss people around, and Eric likes to be bossed around.

But like - with that last example. I just prefer Jackie and Hyde's dynamic, where Jackie learns that she can't just be a bossy, steam-rolling bitch and she has to learn to ask her partner rather than telling him what to do. Jackie grew and changed there, it made her a dynamic, more likeable character, and that's a more compelling story than, well, the opposite. Likewise, I preferred how Eric goes to Donna at the end of "Do You Think It's Alright?" (the wedding registry episode) and was like 'Okay tell me what to do, I'm ready for some marching orders' and Donna was like 'No I don't know what to do either! We're gonna have to figure it out together.' Again, to me it's (1) a more compelling love story and (2) the characters actually grow and change and become better versions of themselves when together. I just don't think Jackie and Eric would provoke that kind of growth from one another.

Here are the rest of the reasons I'm team NOTP for Jackie/Eric:

Jackie and Eric like... barely interacted throughout the course of the show, *lol*. I even hesitate to call them friends. So any sort of romantic interaction between them just feels unearned, implausible, and random to me. I can't imagine them in a relationship when they could barely stand to be in the same room.

Jackie was not physically attracted to Eric. Canonically. Consistently, throughout the entire series. And we know now thanks to That '90s Show that he looks the exact same for at least the next 20 years 🤣

Eric was not attracted to Jackie's personality. Canonically. Consistently, throughout the entire series.

Jackie was also not crazy about Eric's personality. She puts him down for who he is, over and over again, throughout the series.

Eric was the love of Donna's life, and Jackie is Donna's best friend. She wouldn't date him, hard stop. Off limits. Likewise Jackie was the love of Hyde's life (even if he'd never admit it, Eric knows), and Eric is Hyde's best friend. He wouldn't date her, hard stop. Off limits.

I do not think they have any chemistry.

So as you can see, Jackie/Eric are not for me 🤣

I do not like them in a house. I do not like them with a mouse. I do not like them here or there. I do not like them anywhere!

That said, the internet is a big enough place for everybody. There are plenty of folks out there who do enjoy the pairing, and I will leave them to it. My 'ship is not for everybody either. I get it.

this is a weird post to make, but i dont really have many places to say it and i wanna share my thoughts Somewhere lol

so i found my dad after more than a decade of being out of contact with him (probably since 2010? at latest, very early 2011). or rather, after every few years of searching for a little while and coming up fruitless, he made a new facebook less than three weeks ago and i just happened to get Really lucky timing.

just before him i had also found my (former) step sister + mom, as well as my half sister (all sisters younger than me and previously i couldnt find), and.. its a strange experience to finally see people who used to be so close to you in your life show uo again, visibly older and doing their own thing.

its hard to explain.. its almost like youve woken up from a coma. you have memories and have had dreams of these people for years and years and during that time you never really realized that the image you have of them was one trapped in amber; even when youre cognizant of the passage of time, your mind just can't take into consideration the individualized process of aging, both physically and where the passage of time will take them and their relationships. you realize these people are now essentially strangers to you.

my (former) step mom has remarried again and has her own set of children (again), one of my step uncles ended up passing away, my step sister is no longer how i remembered her in 2007 from one of the few photos i have of her in my possession and is posting hippie white woman stuff on her feed, my half sister doesnt share my last name (paternal) anymore, nor her mother or new husband's, whom she is having a child with. i was able to figure out it was her because of the name and how she looks strikingly like her mom and has photos with my dad in them.

my dad himself has aged significantly since he's last shared a photo of himself anywhere. he used to always wear hats, but in a new photo he's got solid white hair despite being in his early 40s and is balding (HE did this to me..) and finally learned what glasses suit his face better LMAO. honestly, he looks better now than he ever did when i've seen him. which i think was one of the biggest shockers because god he looked so lame. this also gives me hope for myself B)

the thing i noticed the most though is how "normal" him and my half sisters turned out. granted, he was always so much more put together than my mother-- i'm sure thats why they didnt really like each other lmao. but, while im not sad about my life, even if it's definitely different than i assumed for my age, i can't help but wonder where i'd be if i had allowed myself to overcome the fear of my mother and went to go live with my dad like we had planned in 2008 or 2009.

however, just from how hard it has been to piece together the state of that side of my family, i don't think any speculation could even be remotely accurate. ive also never really been one to dwell on what could be anyway. at the end of the day i cant undo how horrific my childhood was, but i can make steps to grow from it and learn to love who i am and where i am now.. for how cheesy that sounds 😭

i am glad i finally got a bit of closure on this though. i knew my dad was still around somewhere, but not knowing anything beyond "he's alive" for so long left me with a lot of questions, now mostly answered. it's nice to know he seems to be doing good and that he's there for my younger sisters (not sure about my step sister, but i have an additional half sibling that i never met beyond a few times as a toddler and it seems she's fine too). i know that social media doesn't tell all and is usually finely curated to share the best moments, but i'm saying this in comparison to my mother who would never in a million years do what he seems to be doing.. down to having custody of his kids LMAO.

i don't think i'll ever reach out to any of them though. i know my dad still thinks of me once in a blue moon, as he's dedicated a birthday post to me some years ago on a now deleted profile, but if you can imagine.. i think my change in the last 13 years or so is a bit more drastic than just growing up. not to mention they have their own lives going on and it all seems just fine.

i guess if he ever does try to find me, he'll find out that my former step uncle (different one who is still alive) who teased him about only having girls was wrong LMAO. but i dont think he could ever find me unless he got in contact with my older sister who isn't doing too hot rn, or my mother.... and if it's my mom he goes through, i sure as hell hope he thinks finding his now son was worth it. i sure as hell wouldnt go through talking with my mom if i was him.

ummm, maybe "boring"/overrated is the wrong word here. the other ones in the list are there because, IMO, the fandom is seeing something that's just. not there lol. the relationship are either lacking that je-ne-se-quoi, overblown, or purely in the shippers' imagination, contrasting with a very much UNromantic, sometimes even boring, canon.

that's not the case with (most) of Grey's romances: they're usually well-written, sometimes impactful, and the ones that seem to have resonate more with fandom DO have that je-ne-se-quoi factor (whether or not one likes them is another story).

mostly I'm just... a BIG fan of all the ways in which Grey's is determined to ruin romance LMAO. I watch that show because I love its female characters and because it does couples' drama like no other! there's no couple in that show that I'm rooting for to "make it" because I, simply, enjoy the fallout when things go down ^^U. so I think people clinging to them as romances and insisting the show would be better with "happy" couples are. wrong xD

with that in mind. first of all, I must say I don't "ship" anything in Grey's. but there are certainly some I find more interesting than others. I'm just not sure we can make it five xDD, but I'll try.

I've also only picked canon couples, btw. There are relationships I like far more, but again, I don't ship in this show, I like them as-is. And the few rareships that ever crossed my mind were brief and lukewarm.

Derek & Meredith. I'm SHOCKED that I'm adding them on the list because I don't like Derek and I don't like them as a "ship"... but there's no denying their impact, their weight, and their potency. If you asked which of Meredith's ships I'm actually "fonder" of I'd actually say Meredith/Deluca lol, but the reality is this. Besides, they're one of the few couples whose wedding/vows I like xD (thank fuck they were saved from the fire I was SO worried about that LMAO). UO, but I think they would've collapsed if Derek was still alive. the fact that they're "preserved" like this is part of the appeal though.

Ellis & Richard. I also don't care for Richard himself (this goes for every male character tbh), but I just LOVE it when a couple ruins lives <333. And who has a bigger body count than these two? Nobody, that's who!

hmmm... April & Jackson? At least in their divorce, messy phase. Before that, their getting together aggravates me too much (I'm a Stephanie gal xD), and although their send-off-reconciliation was better done than other couples... the bar is below ground and I wasn't asking for it lol.

Callie & Arizona. Although talk about terrible send-off-reconciliations... but I'm always pro-lesbian relationship drama.

Catherine & Richard. I'm also a fan of middle age marriages between two stubborn people often trying to best each other, so their fighting arcs are very entertaining lol.

Maybe it’s because you’re a fellow Leyton shipper but I just feel like confessing a few unpopular opinions to you if you’re up for it :-)The first is that I think Haley is a really boring character for about 90% of the series. For most of the first season, she had a personality – snarky and nerdy and prickly yet kind. I loved and related to her! But I don’t buy her wanting to be this big-time singer at all, and then from season three on she just became such a dull character with no defining traits other than being Nathan’s worried but supportive wife. It’s like all her personality traits disappeared somehow! I love the actress but the character just became kind of generic to me. A related UO is that naley doesn’t really move me. Objectively they’re a very good ship but I’m just not personally invested in them and have no real idea why. Another unpopular opinion is that season 6 is my favorite of the series. I LOVED Leyton this season, I think Julian/Brulian was a lot more interesting before they completely and totally rewrote his personality, I love the Sam stuff, I love seeing Peyton so happy yet still very much herself, Nathan announcing that he finally made the NBA is probably the most I personally cared about him since way back in the first couple of seasons, and Haley’s S6 chocolate brown hair is my personal save :) Thanks for listening and hopefully not judging lol! I’m also curious if you think Peyton could have been truly happy with Jake or if she’d only really be happy forever with Lucas. Leyton is my ultimate OTP but I like Jeyton too!

to be fair, i dont think haley ever wanted some big singing career either. it just kind of fell into her lap. plus i love joys voice and the music she brought to the show so im willing to overlook the absurdity of it anyway

and as far as her character becoming dull, they touch a lot on that in the drama queens podcast, how they feel the writers just didnt know what to do with haley once she became a wife and mother because they dont know what to do with women once theyre wives and mothers, and i have to agree. i think a lot of casual misogyny played into haleys lack of storylines in seasons 4 and 5 specifically

i agree about naley being underwhelming and season 6 being a fave, especially for leyton, along with your other points

i dont think peyton wouldve been miserable with jake, but i do think she wouldve eventually down the road started wondering what her life wouldve been like with lucas and all the what ifs and what couldve beens. its like people who settle down and have a nice life, a nice family, are happy, but theres always something nagging in the back of their brain, a hole gone unfilled from choosing one path over another at some point in their life, ya know? you dont necessarily regret your life but... you wonder what the other version of yourself wouldve been

Something Diluc loves about his job is that most days, he gets to work from home in his office! So when his son gets home from school, he always runs into his office to show him what he learned in class

But today, his son trudged into his office with puffy eyes and tearstained cheeks “I don’t wanna go to school anymore...” Diluc has never dropped his work so fast. He sets everything aside and takes his kiddo to the couch in front of the fireplace to talk

Since you’re all still living in Mondstadt, your kid is going to the same school that Diluc went to. He knows how bratty some of these kids can be since he serves wine to their parents every weekend. This is just unacceptable.

He hugs his boy and tells him that he’ll make the bullying stop. And he does. That night at the tavern, he’ll confront those parents, even threaten to ban them from the Angel’s Share if they don’t correct their kids’ behavior “I will not tolerate your children picking on mine. So until you get them to stop, I’m going to have to cut you off for now”

Let’s just say that the bullying stops faster than he thought it would. Mondstadters are serious about their wine intake 0-0

Zhongli:

Zhongli knows something is wrong the second he steps inside when he gets home from work

His usually energetic girl is sulking in her room instead of running around or doing school work

He’ll change out of his work clothes and go sit on the floor with her “is something bothering you?”

Zhongli may be a chatterbox but he knows how to listen. He’ll sit and listen to everything his daughter has to say, pulling her in for a hug when she starts to cry

He makes sure she knows her feelings are valid, that she doesn’t deserve to be picked on

He also tells her that she can’t let them see her cry “they want you to cry, they want you to feel sad. So if you don’t allow their words to hurt you, they will leave you alone” “really?” “Really. That’s how mean kids think. So if they don’t leave you alone, remember to hold your head high, okay? After school, talk to your teacher about their behavior too” he’s great at making people feel better about themselves :’) he just happens to have thousands of years of experience under his belt lmao

Kaeya:

Kaeya loves getting to pick his daughter up from school! He loves how excited she is to see him and how she happily talks about everything they did in class while they walk home.

But when she hurries outside and hides behind him, sniffling and crying he’s quick to help out

He’ll kneel down to her height and give her his best ‘dad hug’ “What’s the matter, sweetheart? Did something happen today?” “Uh huh...” he’ll sit there on the ground with her while she explains what happened

Since there are plenty of other parents there to get there kids, Kaeya won’t hesitate to approach the parents of the bullies

“Excuse me, you may not know me but it seems that your daughter has been picking on mine. I think she owes her an apology” of course they all know who Kaeya is so he may be using his position with the Knights as leverage...maybe, maybe not lol

He’s not shy. He doesn’t tolerate bullying!! If the roles were reversed, he’d make his kid apologize too.

And since she had a rough day, Kaeya would let her pick what they have for dinner that night just to cheer her up :)

Xiao:

Xiao is not an emotional guy but when his son runs up to him, bawling his little eyes out, he can’t help but feel upset too

He picks him up and tells him to tell him all about this bully at school. Man oh man, it totally breaks Xiao’s heart to hear that cause his kiddo is so cute and well mannered, why would kids pick on him??

Xiao will take him to school early the next day to have a word with his teacher “You need to do something about this. If you don’t talk to these kids or their parents, I will”

Then he’ll kiss his son on the cheek and leave, the teacher is probably freaked out cause if looks would kill, Xiao’s angry glare would have killed them for sure

If the bullying continues he will pay those parents a visit. He won’t be rude but he will be blunt with them, that’s just the way he is “Your style of parenting is repulsive. Do you think it’s okay for your kid to pick on mine? Pathetic”

Once he’s big enough, Xiao will train his kiddo to fight. He would have done this anyway but since he’s been bullied, Xiao thinks that building muscle and learning to fight will be extremely beneficial for him

Childe:

This man....is such a good dad

He’ll do anything to make his kids laugh, anything to make sure they’re never hurt, sad or in danger! To them, he’s the best toy salesman around! And he’s the coolest day they could have! He takes them ice fishing and teaches them archery once their big enough. His kids are always having fun when he’s around

So you can imagine his surprise when you come home with your youngest son and he’s crying his little eyes out

he sure is a loving person. no one ever expects bokuto to dislike someone no matter how hateful the other person could get

so it was for sure a shock to all when the ace showed hatred to their student council president, which is you

why? ‘cause you limited their practice hours. without informing the team itself

let me tell you bokuto IS ANNOYED

considering you didn’t talk to him about it makes him 100x more mad now that they’re required to lock the gym before 6pm

usually their practices last 6-7 and he lost an hour

and that’s when your enemy relationship started

you did hate on him for some time, though it wasn’t supposed to go overboard now that everyone knows the both of you dislike each other

pft the thing is bokuto talks about you the whole damn time. nonstop

the rest of the volleyball by now thinks that he has a crush on you but naaaaah why would our team captain do that lol

one day you’re supposed to check on the cleanliness of the campus, unfortunately you’re assigned to the gym

everyone kept on with their practices when you entered through the metal doors, looking around to find a certain owl

since you didn’t find any trace or spec of dust, you went along to where they store their equipment

imagine the shock on your face when you see bokuto kotaro inside, all emo mode and hair done due to his sadness

you shot a snappy remark at him only to be greeted with a ‘hmph’ as he burries his head further to his knees

it kinda surprised you he hasn’t said anything back to piss you off. it did worry you tho to see his face in despair

your thoughts were cut off when you hear the door slamming shut, leaving the both of you in the dark with the window as your only source of light

you hear konoha screaming from the other side, “this is your fault y/n! ya better fix that!”

you blink in confusion by his words, not knowing anything else to do but sit a meter space beside the saddened ace

stealing glances of him, your mind begins to overthink the fact that you took your enemy troop to this kind of situation

of course, you hated the point that you’ve hurted people. in fact, it wasn’t even your idea to lock up the gym in such an early hour

and so you tried to strike in a conversation with the team captain next to you, hesitating on what to say

“bokuto-san?” you murmur so quietly, and he doesn’t reply.

you sigh when he burries his head further again before clearing your throat, “i-im sorry.. i didn’t know you’d feel like this when i declared to lock uo the gym at such an early hour.. y-you’re a really great person y’know?”

he remains seated by the wall, not moving. you assume he hates you as much now, not having the heart to reply to your apology. you bury your chin against your crossed arms.

“i’m sorry too..” you hear a short murmur. snapping your head to bokuto, you see him staring at the door infront of him. you smile, “it’s okay. i’m sure what i did was unforgivable.”

a flash of silence passes by, and you’re sure his silence probably means he agreed with what you just said.

you only sigh, “do you like pretzels?”

the sudden question seems to confuse bokuto, finally gaining the heart to turn his head to you, you gave him a wider smile. “if you’d like, i could treat you for those tasty desserts. i’d be happy to comply.”

something inside bokuto seems to tug onto his heartstrings when he hears the kind offer from you. surely, he’ll want to accept the offer in a swift. it just surprised him to know those words came from you. the one who he despised the most.

now that he have known you’re pretty much a great person, he couldn’t help but feel a little better. he gives you a short nod and you chuckle.

time went by and bokuto seems to be getting comfortable with you. as a matter of fact, it looks like he’s already back to his old self, now enthusiastically throwing his hands in excitement as he tells you all about his powerful matches and spikes. the adoration you felt for him became stronger every minute passing.

it sure wasn’t bad to be friends with fukurodani’s ace. maybe even better if it would go further than a simple friendship.

kuroo tetsuro

you and kuroo had thrown snarky remarks st each other for YEARS

years as in from middle school to highschool

no matter how much you despise the other the both of you still has managed to go in the same school lol

specifically, your relationship isn’t that enemy troop much yk what i mean

it’s just got the vibe because tbh you and kuroo is just competing on who flirts the best it’s that type yeah <3

everyone knows the two of you are the most sneaky and cocky people and nekoma n so the competition goes on

but yeah here’s the thing.. who in the FUCK wouldn’t fall for kuroo tetsuro after all those teasing, flirty remarks? ofc no one :)

you figured your lil crush on kuroo on your second year and kept it as a secret, only sparing the tea to kenma who you trust the most

imagine that scenario lol kenma just playing his game, not paying attention to you as you rant about how cute kuroo is

it goes on until you move into your last year w kuroo and kenma is kinda sick of always hearing you talking about kuroo.. because kuroo also talks about you when they’re alone..

sexy big brain kenma have decided to get this over with and asks the teams assistance to lock you up in a closet with kuroo and wont let you out until you confess your feelings

you were surprised by his bluntness but honestly from kenmas expression he seems to be pissed already lmao

and there you were, the utterly awkward silence with kuroo inside a dark, small closet with nothing else but dust

you were sure the everlasting atmosphere surrounding both of you would be a sign that kuroo never got the thought of having a full conversation with you. usually, your relationship levels up only by sending pick up lines back and forth, also having that competition on whose grade is the highest etc etc.

though, there was a small problem. you wanted to curse at yourself for being too affected by the amount of dust in the small space. you tried to avoide sneezing by hovering your hand over your nose, sometimes pinching it in order for your nose to not detect the dust surrounding you.

unfortunately you couldn’t handle it. you felt your insides and nose starting to itch, the sudden involuntary expulsion of air irritating your nosetrils.

and that’s when it happened.

“ACHOO!”

you immediately freeze. this is it. this is where i get rejected. i’m going to cry. you cover your mouth, about to look down to the floor in embarassment when you hear kuroo’s laugh adorning the whole room. your eyes widens, looking up to see his reaction. you intensly blush when he looks at you with fond eyes and soft smile, making you look away to hide your red cheeks.

“that’s really cute. can you do it again?” his voice causes your heart to beat as fast, almost feeling your body weaken from his alluring presence.

“no.” you sharply reply, you heard a snort from beside you.

you wanted to look at him again. and once you do, you immediately regret the decision as he’s already staring at you, an arm resting on the metal shelf.

he chuckles, “say.. how about i take you out on a date after this?” he scratches his neck, “i’m pretty sure kenma’s probably itching for us to finally go on a date together.”

you never had the heart to say no to that attempting request.

oikawa tooru

it wasn’t a surprise to everyone when they heard you and oikawa had been enemies since middle school

it has been a routine for the both of you to ignore the other or rather shove in teasing remarks

oikawa disliked you eversince his mother introduced you. it just had been a real challenge to know both of your mothers are bestfriends so you had to see each other from time to time

and there goes on, both of you were popular for causing a fight in the tiniest reasons to the point where iwaizumi had to break off the argument between you and the setter

it was also unfortunate for him to know that you’re cousins with one of his teammates, hanamaki, who persuaded you to be the manager of their volleyball team. and of course you agreed

it’s not much of a problem anyways, you’ve managed to spend two and a half succeasful years without starting fights with oikawa during practice. everyone is surely relieved about that fact

even if you and oikawa would atleast stay mature throughout practice, there was one day in particular where the setter took a step closer to your breaking point

the match they had with shiratorizawa was a big scar to heal, it’s not like anyone has expected their loss anyways. so everyone wasn’t in the mood to spare conversation in the bus ride, leaving the mood silent and downcast

after everyone separated ways in the campus, the third years including you decided to stay in the gym to keep up with practicing

all of you seems to notice oikawa being in a bad mood, his face swarms exactly like annoyance as the ball he serves speeds up from across the court

now you, even if you knew you had that enemy troop with the team captain, you were sure that this is a time where he needs to call it quits and go home instead to take a rest

unfortunately, that doesn’t go in the right direction

as soon as you tried your best to spare him a conversation, oikawa spits out harmful words that shattered your heart without hesitance. even having the guts to call you an attention seeker when all you wanted to do was make him rest

that was all that you needed to hear as you walk away from him with no reply. then you got your things from the bench, leaving the gym with tears spilling from your eyelids as oikawa realizes his big mistake

i guess, if it wasn’t for iwaizumi kicking his ass during that time, then the setter wouldn’t snap out from his regretful thoughts

makki and mattsun reeks seriousness almost for the first time when he pushes you and oikawa in the gyms equipment room, slamming the door shut before you could even say anything.

as much as you’ve still felt the heartbreak from what happened yesterday, you tried your best to avoid contact with the brunette, your arms crossing in order to hug yourself in comfort.

it became all quiet, not exactly defying that the mood is awkward. due to that manner, even oikawa couldn’t look at you straight in the eye. he knew he didn’t deserve your forgiveness especially when he sees how uncomfortable you are right now.

but he has to anyways. he doesn’t mean anything he’s said yesterday, and he’s hoping that you knew that too.

and so oikawa does what he has to do.

“i.. i’m sorry.. for what i’ve said yesterday..” you froze at his words, “i know what i’ve done is unforgivable, but i promise i won’t do it again, and i regret everything that i did.”

he sounds as genuine and sad, but you didn’t reply just yet, sinking in the words that spilled from his mouth, somehow feeling the light weight upon his apology. oikawa sighs when he doesn’t hear a reply from you.

you turned your head to the setter, shyly making eye contact with him as the both of you blush before looking away.

you tuck a strand at the back of your year. “it’s.. it’s okay, i guess.. as long as you actually mean it, then there’s a slight chance i’ll be able to forgive you...” you mutter quietly. oikawa swore he saw flowers around the dusty closet.

his gaze lands softly on you, “how ‘bout i’ll make it up to you on a date?”

your eyes widens at his offer, “w-what?”

“you heard what i said.”

to see if he’s joking, you looked at him once again, surprised to see how serious and happy he is upon his own words. maybe it wouldn’t be a problem to go on a little date with him once.

“okay.” you agree, not aware of the amount of dates the both of you are soon going to have.

a/n: the starting of the one shot is the same for the three characters, but the ends change!! also i’m not gonna lie, i wrote the tension scenes listening to the gerudo valley theme from the legend of zelda: ocarina of time lol also, on zeke's end i took the prompt that they already make uo with esch other but they have a playful hate (like fake rivality)

Your university’s debate team is recognized everywhere. It’s a really prestigious one, and you, as its captain, are always praised by other professionals. Since you’re captain, you have won against a lot of teams from different universities and even different countries, but you never won against the team that Levi Ackerman commands. 

“Isn’t this the Ackerman team?” Pieck asks, showing you a piece of paper. Your university is called to participate on a debate night on the south of the country. And your rivals that night is Levi’s team. 

Even when you never compite against him, you know him too well. He used to be in the same high school as you, leading the debate team since he’s just a teenager. He doesn't know you since you two never talked. The day comes fast and you’re looking through the window, with Pieck sitting on your side seat and Porco looking through the space between the two seats, that way he can speak to you two. He looks unamused. “Is that team that good? I only hear good comments towards us.” Zeke nods from the teacher's seat.

"Yeah, and guys, we're going to mash them and take the trophy home"

"But they're older?"

“They are older. Not a lot, maybe a year, but they play on another league” you say. You’re quite nervous, this encounter will maybe decide the future of your team. If your team wins, you’ll be officially the best debate team among your country’s universities. You have to win this. 

The place were you all stay is big and comfortable. You share a room with Pieck in the first floor, while Reiner and Porco have to share the other upstairs. You can hear how Porco curses and Reiner announcement of “Uno” while they play cards. Zeke is probably smoking outside.

“I think I’m going for a shower” You nod and Pieck gets all her things, heading to the public bath downstairs. You put a sweater on top of your clothes and go outside to explore a bit. Your team is pretty good, and they all follow your commands. Except Reiner. He wanted to be the leader so bad... He has kinda rivalry towards you since you got the title of leader. He has been bittersweet about it. 

The gardens are really pretty, with a huge fountain in the middle. There you see Levi, talking to a blonde man, looking at him with maybe concern. You can’t really tell since they are far and the water that falls from the fountain difficults your vision. They are talking, but you can’t hear about what. The blonde man moves and you see the card hanging from his neck. He is a professor.

You turn around and make you way back silently, trying to not grab their attention in any way. You don’t want to meet Levi, you’re sure you’ll feel intimidated and you want to make Reiner know that you’re totally valid as a leader.

Wait, then, shouldn’t you show Levi you have no fear into competing against him tomorrow? Isn’t it what a leader makes?

You turn around again and walk towards the two boys. Levi sees you first. 

“Y/N?” he asks. Does he remember your name? You nod once you’re near them.

“Sorry for interrupting your conversation.” You look between the black haired and the blonde man, who’s smiling politely at you. You can read his name on his card: Erwin Smith.

“Don’t worry!” he smiles. You hear how Levi sighs. “So you’re the captain of the other team, aren’t you?” You nod.

“Yes, Smith.” He laughs quietly and shakes his hands in front of you.

“No, please. You can call me Erwin.” He says. You nod, understanding.

"Are you and your team ready for tomorrow?" Levi asks. You nod quietly. If Reiner was the leader, he for sure would be intimidating and making them see you're not afraid to compite towards them. You smile.

"I wanted to comprte towards your team. It's one of the strongest."

"The strongest, actually." the teacher corrects you, wining a bad look from the boy. He clicks his tongue. "You should go and sleep, y/n" he says. "There's a long journey tomorrow." you nod and, bowing to the teacher and nodding to the boy, you leave the place.

When you arrive, Pieck was already there.

"Nice to see you, y/n. Porco has invited us to have dinner!" she says. That's why she is dressing so good. "Come on, let's go!"

The two boys are already sitting when you arrive. Porco smiles at you two while Reiner looks to another place, without making eye contact with you. For your bad luck, the only chair left is in front of him. Pieck invites you to sit. She thinks your rivalry with him is just a childish thing. But he's the one that doesn't want to admit that you're also a good leader. You sit and look at the menu as if it was the most important thing ever.

"Hey, cap!" Porco calls you. "Did you saw the other team? Aren't they scary?" he says. You shake your head.

"Actually I talked a bit to them. They're nice."

"But they are the rivals." Reiner interrupts. "Making new friends?" he asks. You don't know why the sweet Reiner became this cold towards you just because of a fucking captany. You wanted everything back.

"Reiner could you accompany me outside?" you ask. He looks at you.

"The waiter is here, sit down." Pieck says.

"We'll talk tomorrow. After the debate."

The dinner was a little awkward but Pieck filled it with jokes and support for tomorrow. Porco and Reiner went back to their dorm and so you did. Tomorrow, the debate was going to be intense.

That evening, you were sitting on a huge auditorium, on top of the stage, on four chairs with your university logo on them. In the other team, Levi was accompanied by three more people: a person with glasses and a ponytail, a tall and blonde boy and a short-haired girl. That was his team. Zeke, now accompanied by the blonde man, shows his thumbs to you.

"Let's start the debate night! Levi, do you think we should keep teaching civic valuations on the universuty?"

The debate goes fast. Their arguments easily get rid of yours. It is difficult to win, and even more with that girl on their team. Petra. She's fast and smart, as much as her captain. You were also out of arguments, defending that you should not learn more civic values was really hard. Thats how you lost.

Reiner's end

You took a shower after the debate. You sigh with all the water running down your body.

"Why the hell has to be random. If we could choose..." You dry your head with a towel back in your dorm, with Pieck packing all her things to leave tomorrow morning, really early.

"Well, that's life, y/n. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose." she says. You nod. "Didn't you told Reiner to talk to you now" You nod again. Even when she hates it. "Then go. I listened his steps ten minutes ago. He's in the terrace for sure." You dry your hair a little bit and go downstairs to the terrace. Of course, he's there, with a jacket covering his body. You've entered the debate club because of him. You had an enormous crush on the blonde boy, and he always seemed so sweet and polite you fell even more for him.

Then Zeke told you to be the captain and he changed. Fucking captany.

"Captain, I think punctuality is a quality all captains should have." he says, without turning around or facing you. You took place on his side, your arms on the cold metal of the railing. The brise moves your hair quietly.

"I took a shower." you simply say.

"You should dry your hair or you'll get a cold." he says. You sigh.

"Listen, Reiner. I don't know what changed in you ti became so cold or..."

"In me?" he asks. "Nothing changed in me. Maybe is you the one who changed." he says. You look at him with surprise.

"Me?"

"Yes, you. You started to care more for the group that for yourself. You cared for me a lot, and you always stayed until late to make my arguments. You started to forget yourself to take care of us."

"And why the hell you acted like that, Rein!" you ask, yelling to him.

"I thought that maybe if you lost the interest in me you'll start to take care of yourself!" he says. "I didn't want you to stop sleeping for me. I didn't want to see how you mistreated yourself." He sighs, and he takes his jacket out and puts it around your shoulders. He sighs. "You're going to catch a cold."

You're freeze, but not because of the cold. Did he admit...?

"So you cared for me?" you ask in a whisper. He sighs once again and looke to the sky.

"How shouldn't i care for the person I like? Because I like you."

His arms accompanied his jacket around your shoulders, and you smelled his sweet cologne when he hugged you.

"Maybe it's one sided, but..."

"It isn't." you whisper. Was he acting cold just to protect you?

"Hm? Louder, please." he asks. You grab his face between your hands before standing on your tip toes and collide your lips with his.

"I said." you whisper once you part for air. "That it wasn't a one sided love."

Levi's end

He approached you when you where helping to put everything on its place.

"Nice debate, y/n" He says quietly. You smile at him.

"Congratulations, Levi. You won."

He smiles.

"You're a really strong rival. It wasn't easy to win." he says.

"Oh, come on!" you take your things and start walking towards the exit. He follows you quietly. "You're all so smart and fast for this thing. We bite the dust." he laughs a little. The night is calm and there's not much air. You look at the fountain."It was a cool experience. Meet another people, travel with your mates..." you say. Levi nods.

"Yes. Actually, we have a night and half a morning left." you nod. It's true. Your bus picks you all up at 8 am.

"We could... hm.... like." he looks around. "Go dinner tonight." he says finally. You smile brightly.

"Of course! let me call the res..."

"No." he interrupts you. "Just... The two of us." his cheeks are blushing a bit. He doesn't seem like the boy from yesterday, the one that teased his teacher and rolled his eyes. "I would like to know more about you, if you agree." he says. You look at him. He's handsome. And intelligent. He also awakens your curiosity.

"Fine. Let's go for that dinner."

Zeke's end

Zeke was waiting for you on the main entrance of the camping. He smiled, throwing away his cigarette.

"You looked gorgeous on that stage." he says once you arrive. You roll your eyes. He takes your waist and draws you closer to his body. An attempt to kiss you.

"Wait, Jaeger. We're in the main entrance. Everybody could watch."

"Free spectacle, they couldn't ask for more." he says. You roll your eyes again, taking his hand and guiding him until your back finds the wall. Then, he cages you and, leaning on, he kisses you. He tastes like a cigarette and smells to vanilla. That's one of the things you love about him. How his sweet scent doesn't match with his appareance.

"You made it so well... maybe you need a trophy." he jokes.

"Do I have to call you "teacher" during it?" you joke back. He looks intensely at you, as if you awakened something on him.

"Actually is not a bad idea. Hearing you calling me "teacher" makes things funnier, don't you think?" he talks against your mouth.

You smile before taking him closer again, kissing him for the second time, but not the last.

The night is young yet.

FRUITS BASKET S3 EPISODE 13 RECAP! AKA A love letter to Tohru AKA EVERYONE IS CUTE!

Wow. We're actually here... I really don't know what to say about this episode besides everyone is so cute! I'm not even sure if I have much to say that's 'deep' really, so join me in basically pointing out everything that was cute and a moment of the tiniest grain of salt lol

- Love that Kyo and Tohru's date was chaperoned by Uo and Hana aka Tohru's adoptive parents. Quite rightfully, I'd say lol

Super cute! The moment where the other cat just didn't even notice Kyo was quite sad but this moment was nice to just put a metaphorical plaster on the scratch. Goodbye's are sad but exciting.

- 'Sure you're dumb, but you're a good guy that's hard to hate' my feelings about Kyo as a character in one sentence 😂

- Kyo realising that love means basically loving and accepting not only who they are now but who they were before and who they are in the future is super mature! I keep saying this... this is one of the most emotionally mature manga/anime in recent history.

- Kakeru going to uni because everyone keeps bugging him to go is... relatable (don't go art school!)

- Lol I love Kyo's intro in the show, all that shonen anime energy

🥰! I do wish we got more time with them in the anime. It's really cute that they're still going to stay together despite the distance and that Yuki is brave enough to go far away and have new experiences even though he has a huge attachment at home.

Also, Yuki's style has kinda changed! I don't think I've seen him wear something so casual and relaxed. It's nice :)

- Lol Ritsu and Mitsuru celebrating Shigure giving up his writing career like:

ALSO RITSU STILL LOOKS SO CUTE WITH HIS NEW HAIRCUT!

And Kagura being defiant that Tohru and Kyo will make it - so cute. Everyone is so cute!

Hiro and Kisa gave me hella Sakura and Syaoran vibes this episode but I still stand by them being a mini version of Tohru and Kyo :3

Ok... so... honestly... same? I really wish that we got more of a redemption tour for Akito at the end of this anime because the fact that Isuzu is the only one who holds some resentment for Akito after everything feels a bit... unrealistic. (Please don't tell me to read Fruits Basket Another or to re-read the Fruits Basket manga - partially because I already plan to - but also because I'm judging the anime as it's own entity.)

It's unfortunate because the story has been really great at showing how change is gradual and a work in process for most of its characters. And considering the gravity of Akito's actions, I feel like the audience deserved a bit more of a look into how Akito is working to change instead of her being immediately a completely different person. It's why I kinda wonder how much of an effect the curse had on Akito's personality and just her as a person. I would've accepted it if the anime ended on Akito still being awful in some ways but learning to be better in others...

It feels just a little disjointed... that's all.

Akito looked cute this episode and her and Shigure were kinda adorable.

- I hope Yuki and Kyo become closer friends in the future :3

- Yuki and Tohru moments always make me cry more than Kyo and Tohru moments (despite me being an avid kyoru shipper) and this was a hell of a goodbye speech. It's just so nice that every conversation that the zodiac have with each other during this episode, Tohru is brought up and it just shows how impactful she's been and how much they all love her. I wish we got a clip of their goodbye party!

- FLASHFORWARD!!! Of course, Kyo's son just looks like Kyo lol. Of course, Kyo's son's daughter just looks like Tohru hahaha. Still cute. supercute.

Ah... I don't know how to end this really. It's been such a joy to revisit this anime and be involved in the fandom and finally get to see the whole story animated! I feel like I've weirdly learnt a lot about myself as well as learning a lot more about the intricacies of the story.

Thanks to the followers I've gained through making these recaps and thanks to people who actually entertained my ramblings and liked them lol.

so first off I'd like to begin by saying, i feel like he'd be one of the characters who have been in your shoes before when it comes to feeling bad about his body...

And i say that because from personal experience, a lot of tall, skinny guys i know often feel a little dejected and self-conscious of their body and from what ive been told they feel weak, too skinny, bont, etc. Right. So although it may not be the exact same thing you are feeling, i think he'd understand and relate to it on another, physical level. He would try not to make a big deal about it, often not one to speak about his own problems unless he brings it up himself so he's not going to try and force you to tell him anything but his keen observation skills tell him all he needs to know. From the way you frown looking in the mirror after getting ready for a daye night, the way your hand lingers over your hips and stomach to the way you pick at your food or simply forgo eating a full meal in general. He doesn't want to make a scene, he knows you'll tell him about it when you're ready so he does more subtle actions instead. He'll buy your favorite snack from the vending machine and shove it in your hand with a passive aggressive mumble that he accidentally put a 2 instead of a 3 like he meant to or he'll pass over the rest of his lunch because 'i can't eat it all and i cant take it to practice of hinata will froth at the mouth.' Or if you aren't eating anything he'll 'offer' (more like tell you you're going on a date last minute) to your favorite cafe to order strawberry shortcake and split it (probably one of the most romantic things he'll do, so please 🥺 hes really trying here).

And if you happen to get upset ans have a breakdown over the fact you're bloated or you have more rolls than last week or that your thighs touch and you cant fit into your favorite jeans, he won't hesitate to actually show you how beautiful he thinks you are. Like my boy will not HESITATE. He's the type to like swing an arm around you and pull you into a side hug before shifting to pull you into his chest, sighing lightly through hia nose and rubbing soothing circles into your back for a moment. You two would probably just stand there until you calm down a bit before he starts talking to you in a low voice. It doesnt really sound sweet or anything, it's just kind of comforting in it's own way. He's not much of a praiser, in fact he says it in a very matter-of-fact way like he's stating the obvious about your body and how stunning you are. If you're feeling like he could leave for someone better he's quick to shut that down, flicking you lightly with a tsk as a way to shut you up before stating that if he could've done better he would've but you're the best. Top tier 🥺 he makes more of a conscious effort after that to let you know, probably hugging you from behind with his arms wrapped around you and kissing your thighs when he's laying his head in your lap and kisses to your shoulders. It's not much, but his efforts go a long way 🥺

Honestly, he'll probably be a little uoset at first, almost angry because why would you think bad things about yourself? Like its not that he's never been there or anything, but he just doesn't understand it on your level because he genuinely thinks you're like everything right in the universe. When this boy sees you, his eyes really do light uo even if his smile doesn't. So that being said he'll probably tell you off a bit begrudgingly and you might mistake it for him brushing it off but that's not his intentions, in fact everytime you mention something about your body he stores it in his memory. When he starts to notice a pattern he's one of the few hq guys i can see outright calling it out without a second thought. Straight up just being like 'why aren't you eating?' Or 'You keep changing clothes, they all fit the same. What's up with you?' He may not be as observant as Tsukishima but he's not stupid, he catches on eventually. He's not the typw to sugar coat it either, by the way. He'll be like 'yeah you don't have a thigh-gap, so what?' And 'everyone has rolls in their stomach, I like them so who cares?' Like he's not going to lie to you or anything, he doesn't do the whole noo you're not chubby thing. He tells you straight up and then he tells you how much he loves it and you anyways.

And if you were to breakdown in front of him or he were to walk into your room when you're getting ready and sees clothes strewn everywhere, it clicks instantly for him. He'll probably catch a shirt you throw to the side or pick up one hanging haphazardly off your bed— probably one he knows is new because you're probably excited to wear it out, which means it's probably your first choice if he had to guess. He tosses it to you before settling himself beside you on the bed or floor or counter. He doesn't make a move to hug you and he gives you a minute to tell him what's up before he finallt caves and just says it himself. He'll let you cry it out before placing a hand on your thigh and making a move to actually hold you. You know the whole thing where someone like kisses different places and says something, well he does that and it's actually really endearing even if he thinks it's absolutely cheesy later on when he thinks about it. But he'll kiss your cheeks, then your neck, your chest and stomach ans you know how it goes, caressing your thighs before finally kissing your lips probably changing it up from 'this is beautiful, and this is...' to like 'and you're all mine' or something before picking you up 🤪 you guys know what's next from there but it's complete body worship. LIKE literally the king of body worship now, i don't make the rules i judt reinforce them

I-Land Final Episode and Thoughts *SPOILERS! duh*

For anyone who has kept up with I-Land, I understand how emotional and nerve-wracking this episode was for them.  After developing a connection with a lot of the participants and sharing in their memories, its hard to see anyone being let go.  It has been just as much of journey for them as it was for the fans who supported them and at the end of the day, regardless of who debuts, there will be people who will be disappointed by the final results.  But please please PLEASE understand that you should not put the blame on them or even break them down just because your favorite did not make it.  All of these boys worked hard to get where they are and though it stings for those who did not make it, please support whatever flower path any of them have taken and continue to support and spread love.  With that being said, I would just like to use the rest of this post on my final thoughts on the episode and debut line.  If you are caught up with the show, please read ahead.  Thank you :)

First I would like to say that the preparations done for the final performance, the OT22 interaction and performance, the funny bits of preparing PR videos, dividing roles, and playing Truth or Dare, and the home-cooked meals sent from their parents were all just an emotional roller coaster.  I laughed and I cried.  To see those boys grow was something very special to me and to see their individual selves shine through personalities or skills were always a treat.  Having these segments were really meant to lighten the mood for the final lineup to come.  Personally, Sunghoon developed the most out of his shy exterior and his personality was so confident and funny in the pre-recorded videos.  I also thought Jay... could never escape his dark history LOL.   Also Heeseung’s brother teasing him and telling him to tell Jay he adores him was very cute.  Seeing everyone help each other with the PR videos was adorable and heart-warming (Heeseung even had a whole production team haha).  Jungwon dressed up as a sheep still sticks with me though haha.  Seeing OT22 come together also had me in tears and stitches.  It was so cute seeing them all hang out in I-land and despite how whack it was for the Grounders to never experience it, they looked so happy being with their friends and taking part in this little world even if it was for a short time. Also loved how they would easily throw others under the bus during Truth or Dare and the Questions they voted on.  The love and support their parents got and how each of them could not hold back their tears was really the icing on the cake.  No matter where these boys go, their family will always be their for them more than anything else.  Just all those moments leading up to their debut lineup really put a toll on me and it just made me feel like a proud mom

Okay the team name?  I am sooooooooooo glad its not Dragon Gee or Dee or whatever that speculated name was going around on Twitter.  Enhypen is odd but in a good way.   Its different and it will stick with time even though I still may just call them the I-Land group for now lol.  Pretty curious about what the fandom name will be too (but honestly I think I would still call myself an Eggie haha).

TXT and BTS’s presence was neat.  I wish more of the TXT member’s got to speak but having them all physically there was nice.  Though I will say it was just awkward not seeing them cheer as much.  I also felt like BTS was just bored at some points or were just glazing over when having to wait on each member getting called out.  They did have their humorous moments which was nice to see, definitely lifted the tension in the room and I’m glad they joked a bit (especially Suga losing it lol) instead of remaining completely serious.  Their advice and encouragement were all appreciated too.  Jhope being an avid viewer really showed.  Also plus points for Jungwon getting Jungkook’s attention uwu.   I still wish they could have interacted more and mentored some of them over the course of the show.  The slim TXT interactions with Heeseung such as Taehyun and Yeonjun’s reactions made me wanting more damn it.  But hey, at least we get to see them more often in the BigHit building.  I love a good family.

So the Calling performance was A M A Z I N G.  I personally thought they were so coherent as a group and made me wishing OT9.  There were some who really shine in their parts, but I think all of them stood out one or more times to me.  The dance was pretty powerful and a lot of them improved vocally.  Again, it makes me feel like a proud mom seeing them all at this point, grown and amazing.  The Into the I-Land performance also made me feel that way as well.  They all looked so good together and were pretty in sync given that they were fucking 22 of them.  The nostalgia was really hitting in me and I also teared uo like a big ass baby.  But can I just say... and let’s be real here.... Every single song on this show has been a bop and I would be thrilled to see a whole Soundtrack Album for I-Land on Spotify.  Like P L E A S E.

Now onto the debut line! I was S H O C K E D.  You can clearly tell these votes were not rigged in the slightest and this was solely based on global votes always shifting which was appreciated.  I did not see this order coming and it did turn out slightly different then my post on my preferred I-Land debut line.  So starting with number 1.... YANG FUCKING JUNGWON.   I was pleasantly surprised and I literally jumped out of my bed when I heard him place first instead of Sunoo.  This was the complete definition of people who initially slept on him finally waking.  I was soooo thrilled.  Bro really came in last by the last Producer vote and then climbed all the way to first.  Our lovely sheep garden and hidden ace, a big congrats!  

Jay also left his cursed 6th spot and got second! Again another well-deserved man who gave it his all from the beginning and was no stranger to being straightforward and a go getter.  His stubbornness and hilarity will lead this group lol.  

Jake getting third was a big shock as well.  Our icon of improvement!  To think he was always on the verge of getting placed out of the top 7 members and made it here? Also considering his benefit put him in 7th once when he literally could have been the eliminated member that episode.  UGH.  Our Aussie boy did great and seriously improved performance after performance.  

Next up.... NIKIIIIIII.  Now I’m gonna be real I thought it was gonna be K.  I never placed Niki in my debut prediction, but his Flame On performance really change everything for me.  Actually, just the whole second part of I-Land was very impactful for him.  I was always hesitant about his sportsmanship and whether he was too selfish in the first part (the constant evil-editing did not help, Mnet...), but thanks to other members, he really matured and took a greater lead in things.  I really began to fall for him when we got to see him more playful and interactive with other members.  Like I really thought he was much happier and understanding throughout the second half of the show.  So kudos to him!  

Coming in 5th place was Heeseung.  I was actually confused man.  When he was called first at this point, I just knew this global vote line up will be verrrry different.  I was still relieved that he made it and seeing him choke up, this boy who has been going at it the longest among the 9 participants at 3 years to finally debut.... Gosh I could not.  As someone who is also Heeseung biased, I was so so so happy for him.  Think we all know regardless of which place he got, the boy was destined to debut.  My Ace heart feels full ^^.  Go get him Leader!!!

Now 6th place... my Ice Prince... Sunghoon! I was actually the most nervous for him.  I saw so many people saying that Sunghoon was last in votes or was in danger because a lot of people had the mentality that given his popularity they should reserve the votes for the people who would most likely be eliminated.  I think that’s why Heeseung and Sunoo were scored low too.  Now I am also biased towards him.  I was thinking like what would I do if none of my favorite Bighit trainees (Heeseung, Jay, Sunghoon, and Jungwon) do not make it?  But when he was called to take up the last spot in global voting, I did a back flip (not really but yeah lol).  Given that Sunghoon has never gotten any brutal feedback from the Producers and has always adapted to each concept, he deserved this.  Just everything he has been through... And shifting his life from being an ice skater of 10 years to this path as an idol.... hold up let me get some damn tissues.  May he continue to break out of his shell and show his continuous charms!

Ok the producer choice for 7th place... Again did not see that coming.  Sunoo constantly ranking high in global votes only to be one of the deciding factors was another big surprise.  I have said that Sunoo’s sunshine personality would be needed, especially if the group were to do cute or youthful concepts.  His health had been concerning, but he was able to manage himself so well.  Even with powerful choreo!  He is not really one of the best dancers but he had always been able to do his part.  I really thought the Producers would choose K, but I really thought Bang PD boiled it down to overall skill and personality appeal.  He even claimed that Sunoo would connect best with the world with his joyful outlook.  I honestly could not agree more. I just people do not rail him for being picked as they should now understand he is not just some cute face and has proven that multiple times.  Sunshine Fighting! :)

The eliminated trainees were K and Daniel.  Though I thought Daniel has improved a lot, he was just outshined.  I also think at his age he should have more time spent in sharpening his skills.  What was more devastating was K.  He looked like he was obliterated.  I mean both of them were naturally sad, but K was just gone to me.  I was really hoping that he would make the debut line.  K has shown himself as a performer multiple times and was praised for his choreography skills.  He even showed to have learned from past behaviors and matured more as a person when taking the leader role.  To see him grow and understand where he went wrong.... ugh I really could not bear him looking that way.  His thoughts were all over the place and he could barely choke out what he wanted to say.  I just hope he meant what he said and actually continues to enjoy music and develop himself as a performer.  I knew how much his mom was initially livid at the idea of him becoming an idol so I hope he gets another chance at showing her that he can still do this. Now understand this does not mean you should blame Sunoo for being chosen or complain that Sunoo does not deserve it.  I already feel like he is gonna be haunted with the grim reminder that he was chosen instead and think that he doesn’t deserve this because he is not as skilled as K.  And people are gonna bandwagon hate on him... and again I say please DO NOT DO THAT.  At the end of the day, no matter how much you want OT9 or OT22, this is a survival show and these participants signed up for this.  Yes there will be fans who are disappointed, but you shouldn’t waste your anger on the other trainees who were able to succeed instead of your faves. I don’t want this moment to completely wreck K or Daniel’s chances at being an idol again.  Same goes for rest of the eliminated I-Land members.  This is definitely not the end for any of them so please go on with hope guys because I know you will still have many people’s support!  They will end up on the same stage as their colleagues one day.  

The last thing I want to say is that though this has been a tough journey and though there may be people who will not be satisfied with the debut line, everyone worked hard.  From the participants to the fans and even the Producers, all of them played a special role in making I-Land bearable and exciting to watch.  This is a big congrats to everyone who took part in the show despite having to go through many hardships.  With that being said let us continue to support the futures of the eliminated I-Land members as well as the grand success of Enhypen.  I smell 4th gen leaders :D. Welcome to the BigHit family Enhypen and may your fans, your wings, fly you even higher once you officially debut. F I G H T I N G!

S02 E02

After diligently and excitedly watching season 1 of Fruits Basket as it aired, I have... watched a total of one episode of season 2. I don’t know what happened!! Pandemic??

I really want to catch up by the time the dub starts airing on Funimation, so I’m going to try and watch an episode or two a day and I figured why not write down some of my thoughts. Some of you are probably rewatching right now?

I’m skipping episode 1 because I keep rewatching it to try and start watching the season and I think I’ve seen it at least three times now. My thoughts were mostly - yay Machi and Kakeru! These chapters weren’t the most exciting in the manga either, but I felt they were well adapted. Excited for what’s to come with the student council. 

On to episode 2:

-I still don’t understand why Uo has long hair lol

-Ugh why did I wait so long to watch this I love these guys

-I turned 30 this year (I’ve been in this fandom a loooong time) and I only appreciate Takaya addressing anxiety about the future more and more as I get older...

-Can the anime make me like Kureno more?? Doubtful, but I can only hope (Like, he’s fine...)

-aaaah I forgot about the beach opening!!!! the beach arc!!!! 

-visiting Kazuma!!!!!!

-I love Tohru being ready to MacGyver some lunch

-baby Kyo should be in every episode

-I really feel they do the tone shifts well in this show

-I appreciate Kunimitsu

-Oh look Kyo’s bio dad. I hate him.

-I will always LOVE that moment where Kazuma makes the connection between Kyo’s bio dad’s fear and Kyo’s own fear, and how they both express that fear through anger that’s unreasonably targeted at someone else. And I love that we eventually see Kyo move past that even if his own father can’t. 

-”raising him has been a joy and an honor” T_T love him

-I love the night walking home from work scenes with Tohru and Yuki. So moody and nice.

 -Kyo planning to eat PLAIN. NOODLES. WITH SOY SAUCE. Like melting some cheese on top of macaroni and calling it mac & cheese

-Kyo accidentally being perceptive about Tohru’s feelings will never cease being funny lol (but really he’s already tapped into her wavelength because they’re both empathetic sweeties)

-the future scares me too, girl, it’s okay

-Shigure’s advice reminds me of a guy I knew who once told me you should just go to sleep when things are going sideways and when you wake up it’s usually all better and you know what that was some good-ass advice

-This is probably the chapter I’ve gone back to most often over the years. That laundry metaphor is one of my life touchstones.

OMG YOU ARE BACK OMG I JUST SAW YOUR POST DID I ALREADY SAY OMG?!! Anywayy, kudos for getting through 2020!!! I don’t know if you’ve already answered this but what made you decide to pursue a law degree? My desire to pursue law only flourished recently and I’m doubting myself for making the wrong decision to apply for law school

Hi!!!! Sorry for just now getting to this! (also to the anon that messaged me right after I made my last post re: eugene, thank you! I appreciate you sharing your experience <3)

This message is so sweet and put the biggest smile on my face. I know I have answered this Q at some point so if you scroll through my #answered tag it should be there somewhere but I’ll try to give a little short and sweet answer now that I’m actually here in the thick of it. 

A combination of things made me want to pursue law: I like to argue (lmao), in my high school english class we had monthly debates and we were randomly assigned teams/sides each time and I was the only one in the class who never lost (although by the end of the year my best friend also in the class was convinced that everyone was just too afraid of me to vote against my side, I’m a pretty intense debater lol), I love to write (which is a lot of what law is - although legal writing is very different than creative writing)

But what kinda pushed me over the line was that my undergrad degree was in environmental studies and I felt like if I wanted to continue down that path in a career the legal side is what appealed to me most aka environmental law.

I took a year between undergrad/law school to make sure I was confident in my choice, but if I’m being totally honest with you it’s hard to ever be confident in that choice prior to starting school because there are just so many unexpected things

I think I flip flopped every day of the first semester between “I WAS MEANT TO DO THIS” and “oh no I have made a terrible mistake.” This has also been an entirely unprecedented year in so many respects AND a lot of things in my personal life/everyone’s lives have made this year much more difficult than it ~should~ have been which I think makes school seem more stressful even though school in and of itself is relatively fine.

Truly I really enjoy my classes and it is fascinating to learn so much of what is behind how this country runs. I think the thing that worries me (for lack of a better term) is the legal culture we are fed aka this idea that if you aren’t careful you will end up working 242352324 hours a day and everything needs to be Super Professional At All Times and tbh I hate that. But, I think this is where knowing yourself/your priorities/the type of law you want to do is valuable.

I have made a big effort to reach out to people in my field and the overwhelming consensus is that they love their jobs. That is really comforting to me. Plus, your 1L year is notoriously the most difficult. 2L/3L you get to take more of the classes/experiences catered to your preferences, and you just have a better grasp on things.

I would say if you are considering the idea to not rush into it. Sit on it for a second. I think law gets glamorized a lot especially with tv shows and movies we see in the media and tbh it is freaking hard. Maybe hard is the wrong word...challenging. 

If you are considering law school my #1 piece of advice is to talk to people who are actually in the field you are interested in to get a better look at it AND to talk to students at the schools you are interested in. A huge part of why I went with UO is because the culture seemed incredibly supportive. That was hugely important to me.

Last time, the story started in the middle of an inexplicable fight, Izuku gave Shoto his phone number and had multiple houses, and Katsuki told Izuku he doesn’t want Izuku to call anyone by their first name but him! Because being controlling is romantic, right?? (Sarcasm.)

In today’s chapter, Katsuki attempts to confess his “love,” Izuku is forced to dress as a girl, Shoto kidnaps Izuku, I rant about people uke-fying my favorite characters, and Kirishima offers some terrible advice!

My friend Jaz: Bottom of his shoes Phos: Bottom of the uniform might mean bottom of the pant leg— Oh Me: I mean, valid interpretations all of them, but it really sounds like he's grabbing ass if you just say "the bottom of his uniform" because that's... where the bottom is... moving on.

I don't get it. Has Bakugou supposedly found Izuku's stare cute this whole time, or is this a recent thing? It's so outside the realm of possibility that it's not computing

Oh my, how exciting! I wondered what was going to happen next!! And you told it so efficiently, with as few words as possible! Bravo!!
