I loved your drawing(and I love your style in general) with Leia in your recent post! If/when you have time can we see more of her in your style? I get so happy whenever I actually see people mention/talk about her and she’s not just forgotten because we didn’t get to see much of her. 😭

thank you! 💙💙💙 Leia/Leah/Lea/whatever is fascinating to me. she is the ultimate unknown. what was she like? how involved (or even aware of any details of the invasion) was she? Silver's basically a physical carbon copy of his biodad, so what did he get from her? like, I understand why the two of them kind of have to stay as these super vague and mysterious figures -- the whole point of them is that their story ended 400+ years ago and they're not really relevant anymore (and. well. the more that gets explained about them, the less that can just kinda be handwaved as "oh the politics were Very Messy") (we can sit here and theorize all day but let us acknowledge that, ultimately, canon gave us almost nothing about them post-Meleanor and we'd just be making things up). I do still wonder about her though! RIP Lea, we never knew you and we probably never will.

actually you know what, as long as we're here, I think I WILL go ahead and just make some stuff up about what Silver might've inherited from her instead.

Enemies to lovers arc completed

HE'S DONE!!!!! With my design for The Hermit finally complete, I now have stitched all 3 of the Dragon Age: Inquisition Solas tarot card triptych, as I envisioned when I first started this project back in 2021. WHEW!

This card was by far the hardest to translate into the stained-glass style I used (as seen in the DAI dialogue wheel icons, special options, etc). Designing it was a big pain but I'm really happy with how my hopeful vision translated to the finished piece, with using the gold to outline the inner sections instead of black to mimic the gold "magic" symbolized in the original card. This one also had soooo many tiny sections that I regretted once the design was printed, but just powered through anyway, and I do think the final version turned out great despite the frustrations.

what I think the season one archival staff would dress up as for halloween!!

Jon - would not dress up. he has a professional image to uphold !!

Sasha - I feel like she'd go with a classic, like maybe a witch or a vampire!! or something matching with Tim :)

Martin - probably wouldn't have the courage to do anything fancy, but after badgering from his coworkers (aka mostly Tim) he would go for one of the classics too, like a ghost/mummy/zombie?

Tim - would absolutely go overboard with something extravagant and lots of accessories, but also maybe not something actually getting too close to the supernatural. so like, a pirate? or a movie character? OR something RIDICULOUSLY spooky (specifically to annoy Jon lol)

alternatively:

a few days before halloween, Jon walks in on the archival assistants discussing how they're going to dress up. he frowns and tells them wearing halloween costumes is actually against the office dress code, as dressing in such a ridiculous way would be highly unprofessional.

he walks in on halloween to see all of them dressed up as him.

(and yes they absolutely deny it - them? dressing up for halloween against Jon's strict instructions?? they would NEVER!! they simply decided to all wear dress shirts, ties, and sweater vests on the same day by pure coincidence :))

30. Dust: something angsty didn't seem appealing to me so i decided to take inspiration from the chris fleming 'company is coming' video.

31. Halloween Costume: i couldn't decide what costume to do here so i decided to go with last year's halloween newsletter, the story i came up with is that these four agreed to do an outfit swap for their costumes but only frisk and papyrus actually followed through.

Steddie Week

Familiar / Hurt/Comfort 

Eddie wishes the smell wafting around him wasn’t so familiar, teleporting him right back to laying in a puddle of his blood, chunks torn from his side. Robin steps in front of him, her mouth is moving but he can’t hear her over the ringing in his own ears. He stares past her to where Steve is desperately trying to wrap the cut on his arm, even as it soaks through the cloth, coloring it a deep red. And then he’s in front of Eddie, hand on his cheek as he tries to bring him back to the present.

“Hey! Hey–I’m okay.” Steve’s eyes are wide and scared but he strokes the side of Eddie’s face gently. “Eds I promise, everything is going to be fine but– We gotta get out of here, okay babe?”

Eddie nods numbly as Steve grabs hold of his hand and yanks him forward, careening them toward the last remaining gate as the opening shrinks before them. 

Eddie snaps out of it at the sight because that means it worked. “Holy shit.” he murmurs under his breath before taking off at a full run, gripping onto Steve’s hand as tight as possible, refusing to let him go for anything, ever again. 

Eddie watches as Robin and Nancy reach the gate, hovering to wait for them as they scramble to catch up. 

Eddie flails his free arm in front of him and yells. “GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE! GO” And then promptly trips over a dead, shriveling vine and falls hard to his hands and knees, bringing Steve down with him momentarily until he pops back up and jerks Eddie to his feet. 

The girls are gone. Both through the rapidly closing gate as Eddie and Steve approach it. It’s not big enough to both squeeze through at once and they both hesitate for a moment before each gesturing for the other to go. 

Eddie shakes his head “Not a fucking chance, Stevie. GO!” 

But Steve has other plans, of course, and he pushes Eddie harshly into the gate so he’s falling through, landing hard on the other side. He looks back just as the gate seals itself shut with Steve still inside. 

Eddie launches himself at the strip of scorched earth with a pained scream. “NO! STEVE–FUCK! NO-NO-NO!” 

Robin and Nancy pull him back with tears streaming down their faces. 

Nancy’s face sets in determination. “We’ll get him back, Eddie.” 

El is out of commission when they finally meet back up with the rest of the group. There’s blood caked around her nose and mouth and she’s passed out on the little couch. Hopper steps in Eddie’s way as he tries to approach her.

“No way, Munson. She needs to rest.” 

Eddie sets his jaw, refusing to back down. “We need her to open the gate. Steve is fucking stuck over there.” 

There are gasps from the rest of the room, and then they’re being bombarded with a million questions, but all Eddie can focus on is getting Steve the hell out of there. “Move, Hop.” 

Hopper tilts his head and holds a hand out to the rest of the kids, effectively silencing them for a moment. 

“Let her rest. She won’t be able to help Steve like this.” 

Eddie scoffs and goes to shoulder past Hopper anyway when Will pushes through the huddle of people. “I think I can do it.” 

Everyone turns to stare at him and his face flushes before he continues on. “El has–” He looks nervously around at everyone. “We’ve been training. I uh– I think I can do it.” 

Everyone stands in a loose arch behind Will where he stands with a hand pressed to the closed gate. Everyone shifts uncomfortably on their feet as they wait. Eddie feels like his heart might burst out of his chest at any moment, desperate for this to work. To save Steve. Because he has to come back. He can’t be–

Will lets out a pained groan and the road beneath him starts to splinter. A small crack forming as he struggles to pull at the seam of the world and the next. The crack grows and Eddie flies forward, kneeling on his knees next to Will.

“STEVE! CAN YOU HEAR ME?” He tries desperately to peer through to the other side but all he can see is red. 

The ground shifts again as Will pushes himself further and as soon as the gate is wide enough to wedge himself through, Eddie moves. Doesn’t even think about it. Just throws himself back into hell. He lands with grunt as his back slams to the ground and he immediately pulls himself up, looking around frantically for Steve. They haven’t been gone very long. Hopefully he didn’t go very far. 

The world is crumbling around him. Quite literally. There are chunks of buildings floating by him, and dead vines in clumps all around his feet. The air is thick with particles and he ties his bandana around his face as he moves forward, calling out for Steve and hoping he’s heading in the right direction. 

He finds Steve sitting against a tree, eyes closed, the makeshift bandage around his arm completely soaked through. 

"Fuck." Eddie mumbles under his breath as he drops down next to Steve, hand hovering over him, unsure of what to do and trying not to let the blood get to him again. 

Steve's eyes flutter open and a soft smile pulls at the corner of his mouth. "Eds?" 

Eddie’s hands find their place on either side of Steve’s face. “I’m here. I’m gonna get you out of here.” 

He can hear Hopper yelling for them now. Will must have gotten the gate open further. Eddie slides his arm under Steve’s and pulls him to his feet, supporting as much of his weight as possible and tries to move them back in the direction of the gate. Steve’s knees buckle and Eddie stoops down enough to get his other arm under them and lifts Steve up against his chest. He moves as quickly as he can back to the gate, refusing Hopper’s offer to take Steve from him as they force their way back through the gate. 

Two Days Later

Eddie is asleep next to Steve’s bed in the hospital. He’s had stitches and transfusions and has spent most of his time sleeping. Eddie hasn’t left. Won’t leave him. Ever again. Steve shifts on the bed and Eddie immediately shoots up, wide awake, making sure that Steve is alright. That he doesn’t need anything. 

Steve gives him a smile and takes his hand. “I’m okay, Eds.” 

Eddie sends him a cocky grin of his own. “Yeah, you know. I heard that one before.”

Sometimes I think about you. I wonder if you're okay. You probably are though. Mom and Dad always seemed to like you more. Maybe that was because you're louder. But still. Sometimes I wonder what happened to you when I was gone. Did they start treating you the same way they used to treat me? Do you finally understand me now? Or did things stay the same and the only thing that changed was how much better things got for you? If I know our mom and dad, then yeah, it probably did. I don't know.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm a bad person for leaving you there. I could have gotten you out of there and I just... didn't. I don't know if things would have been better with you here. I'm sorry.

I still kind of miss you sometimes. Isn't that kind of funny? I hope you're alright, Ebony. Despite all the shit you gave me. I wish I knew why. Maybe someday? I don't know anymore.
