A little over sharing

Ok so a while ago my dad and stepmom said we are going to eat with a group of their friends. This was normal, I've been doing this my whole life; go, say hi, answer questions when asked, and kinda wander around till we leave. But this time something happened. Sure it was just a couple words, but those words made me have a little more faith in humanity.

We were sitting at dinner and one of my dad's freinds was talking about his daughter and how she got a boy friend. Most of it was just parents not quite understanding but being cool about it ig. The guy asked me if I had a boyfriend and I had been expecting this so I just laughed politely and said no. My dad stated that I'm still in my "boys are weird stage". Which is only half true because I've been having crushes since kindergarten but I do find most boys annoying. The he just said somthing like, "good boys will break your heart". My dad and me made it pretty clear "i dont like boys" and then everybody turned back away from me to continue the conversation. But than the guy turned back real quick and said, "girls will to yk" and turned away again.

Wow. I didn't expect that cause my dad is really homophobic and I never thought him to have considerate friends. Luckily he didn't seem to hear and I don't think anyone saw the grin on my face. I honestly that made my day. Such small words made me like I was real and important and there might be people out there who will take me seriously despite the fact I was a tiny little 12 year old trying to act as small as possible. I don't really know how to explain how that mattered to me so guess that's the end.

I would argue that Megumi leaving Gojo out of his loved ones when thinking about his idealist life with Tsumiki and Yuji highlights the continued tragedy that is Satoru Gojo's lack of communication and connection skills. Alsoooo (and this might be an asspull) it feeds into my perception that both Megumi and Gojo wanted the relationship to be deeper but both couldn't ever come to truly understand one another and connect on that level. And I have alot more comments on that but that will wait till another day if I feel like it lol
