One night, at the Downtown karaoke bar, while out with the girls, Lola meets Ajay Loner—a guy who, at first glance, seems harmless. Just another stranger. But she already knows that his sudden approach isn't random. It means something. Something full of questions—questions even she doesn’t have the answers to. "But why so much interest in Strangetown?" she asks. Ajay, with an enigmatic smile, replies, "Oh, there’s a lot of interesting stuff around here. I’m just curious." Not very discreet, I’d say. Despite her lingering caution, Lola finds herself gravitating toward him—and, without meaning to, he does the same. That night, under the intoxicating haze of alcohol, boundaries blur, and much is left unspoken.

By the time the night is over, he ends up at Lola’s place. I don’t judge—both of them were practically made of alcohol, and the chemistry between them was undeniable. Sometime past midnight, Ajay wakes up, his mind hazy as he tries to piece together the night’s events. With a cup of coffee in hand, he stares into the dark, lost in thought—retracing his actions and the consequences they might bring.

Ajay was surprised about his husband not laughing at his misfortune and figured Blake seemed to be nervous in public after the incident. He wasn't entirely wrong, but Blake was more paranoid about locals hating them now because of the stupid article. Everyone must've been thinking he's just some weirdo assaulting women at random.

He managed to relax when their food was finally served. Though he ended up more interested in Ajay's plate than his own.

Since he wanted it so badly, Ajay made it so they were equally covered in food.

Blake: Shenanigans, mr. Loner? Who would've thought!

Ajay: What can I say? My husband is a bad influence.

If you thought Greg was the strongest werewolf out there, you'd be wrong. Ajay is a proud werewolf that's always sparring with other werewolves, hunting, chasing the mailman and being a werewolf menace in general. He's the only one in Moonwood Mill who has defeated Greg in several spars, sometimes just for fun and bragging rights. Truthfully, he is acting the part of a bully werewolf to keep face. While he is in no doubt, a strong werewolf, he's way nicer than he might appear to be. He likes reading, painting and knitting and is actually quite smart (save for a few wolf brain moments)

He use to be picked on by other werewolf pups for being "weak" so he pushed away his true self to become the big bad wolf. After he defeated Greg for the first time he started to wander around with no purpose. He was the big bad wolf, no one wanted to be his friend and he was resigned that'd he be a loner forever. This is until he encountered an elven spellcaster named Sidorian while he was hunting in Glimmerbrook. Sid was kind to him, and very intrigued by this werewolf as he had been studying the mooncasters in his free time. It took awhile for Ajay to open up and eventually turn back into his normal form and he became close with this silly elf he had a fondness for. Sid encouraged him to get back into the things he really loved. Sid likely prevented Ajay from becoming a worse version of Greg and Ajay is forever grateful to him to him for that.

After a week of troubleshooting and object mesh limit crashes, my game suddenly decided to work again!

(Either I managed to delete the correct number of object meshes, or somehow installing the 4gb patch on SimPE helped my actual game? who knows!)

So I did a lot of work on Steampunk Strangetown today—first, the Grunt family, who I actually made over shortly before the troubles began, then the Beaker household (see Nervous above—it was too great a picture to leave below the cut!), and finally the Singles household.

I added four townies to the Singles household—Crystal Vu, Meredith Lillard, Abhijeet Cho, and Bella Goth—because I thought this might be a meetmetotheriver clean Strangetown with only those four townies in. It’s not—it’s a normal Strangetown with the normal Strangetown townies, which is very strange as I was sure I had clean templates in, but it’s fine.

These four townies will be joining Kristen Loste and Ajay Loner in the boarding house I am going to build shortly, while Erin Beaker moves in with her brother (and finds he has arranged an engagement for her without consulting her), and the Curious sisters move in with the Smith family.

(Don’t worry about the mishmash of eras of clothing; this is vaguely historical fantasy/sci-fi and I am dressing them based on Vibes)

Lastly, I converted the community pool into a quarry/mining operation, owned by Pollination Tech #9 Smith, who gave the settlers permission to mine for resources despite the fact that he lacked the actual authority to do so.

(I also? Somehow? Sat down and wrote a story? A real prose intro to the first event I have planned? Like some kind of legit storytelling simmer? I don’t know how this happened.)

Loner - Patch [2] - Part 2/3

[Part 1]

Ajay stayed over until Wendy came back from work and took care of the kids. I was surprised.

Kids were not doing well but thanks to the super nanny who took both of them to potty at the perfect moment they got their wish and went up to platinum.

New town

So, I’ve moved on from Bridgeport - simply because it has a really bad habit of crashing. Don’t know why, but it does. 

Anyway, while looking for a new world to play, I decided to check out Strangetown by Fekakaa. https://sims3strangetown.blogspot.com/2021/07/strangetown-for-sims-3.html

It is a truly beautiful world and POPULATED!!!!! By the original sims - complete with their Sims 2 backstories, relationships, and even family histories. This creator took a lot of time creating this. I mean, when you click on a sim’s family panel, all these dead sim relatives show up. I was wondering how to establish the convoluted Singles/Curious/Smith family ties, and when I clicked on Lola Curious, there were all her dead ancestors who tied her to the other 2 families. He even named the 4 girls correctly - which saved me tons of time. Because, yes, I am that anal! 

Anyway, here are the 4 girls and the house where they live. They are unemployed when you start the game, but using their backstory, I placed them in the job of their Sims 2 dreams. Lola (red sweater) now works in the political career and plans on taking over this town one day. Her sister, Chloe, works with the local police department. Erin Beaker (the blonde in pink) has a job as a psychic, even though she can’t figure out how to open a bag of chips, let alone predict someone’s future. And Kristen Loste has a job with the local sports team. She’s just using Strangetown as a step up on her dream of becoming a sports legend with the Bridgeport team.

Across the street and around the corner, lives Ajay Loner - my all-time favorite Strangetown sim. Even he has dead relatives in his family panel! Anyway, I always played him as a cop, so I gave him a job with the local police as a CSI profiler. (Chloe is going down the super agent track). I did give these sims custom skins and some different clothes - just because. And I will be adding some custom lots to the town, plus redoing some that are already made. But you really don’t have to, because - like I said - this guy did a remarkable job creating this world. But it’s what I do in every town I play - even when I played in the original Sims 2 rendition of this game. 

Anyway, if any of you want a really nice recreation of the Sims 2 town, definitely check this one out.

Loner Household: Week 1

Ajay starts off the week by living up to his name and engaging in some solitary activities.

It took until almost 1 PM for the welcome wagon to finally arrive.

Thanks, Vidcund.

Erin immediately starts putting the moves on Ajay.

Then it's downtown with Meadow Pederson, Camryn Lee, and Bruce Rauscher. First, some bowling and dinner at Sugar Cube Bowling, then coffee and darts at Sim Center North.

Day one, and Ajay's already failing at his last name.

Contessa Anna Fuchs strikes again.

Ajay heads off to his first day of work as an adventurer.

He then comes home and struggles his way through sit ups.

Fun fact: Sit ups were just about the only thing I could do well in PE. During the Fitness Gram tests, I could run about 12 laps, could do exactly 2 pushups (because we had to go to an absurdly low angle and I did not have the upper arm strength for that), but I could do all 80 sit ups.

That evening, he invites over Kristen Loste, who he seems to have gotten close to on some community lot while I was playing other households.

Erin better watch out, because Kristen's making all the moves, resulting in a mutual crush.

Ajay, on the other hand, just wants to make her some grilled cheese

Moving a little fast there guys.

After a promotion, Ajay decided he wanted a car.

Then it's back to skilling up for work.

He's been working out so much for work, he got offered a subscription to a fitness magazine.

That morning is spent over at 94 Road to Nowhere, to enjoy the sauna for a bit.

Ajay finds a kindred spirit in Ripp, a fellow secondary Grilled Cheese Sim.

Ajay decides to use the thinking cap as a shower cap. Then again, it is said that some of the best ideas occur in the shower.

Made the right decision, and ended up earning Ajay a point in logic.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Back downtown with his bowling buddies (minus Bruce), it seems all that exercise has paid off for Ajay.

Yeah, Ajay's definitely not living up to his name anymore, and has become a Reputable Resident.

All that exercise has also resulted in a club membership.

Ajay then ends the week by inviting over Kristen with the Want to flirt. As ever, Kristen makes the first move, and they end the night in love with each other.

“All my family wants to have alien babies, my dad was originally a pollination technician and abducted my grandpa, but it was the 1980s so his alien abduction babies had to be left with a pseudonymous agent. She lived outside of strange town in a military crèche and my aunts only arrived here in strange town when said agent got killed. My mom and my uncles thus consider them to be their sisters. But they through the crèche are more acquainted to my father, as he was the one who rebelled and chose to move to earth. He met the crèche first, the pseudonymous agent and my aunts. Our surname of course is Curious and not Smith, and they don’t even have names anymore, just numbers, in Sixam, due to the rebellion which my birth was part of. So where does Smith come from? Well at the time my uncles and aunts were teenagers but my mom had recently turned adult, well she was off to La Fiesta Tech, she had decided to be normal, this was La Fiesta Tech in the 1990s before they really admitted aliens or zombies but just fairies, werewolves, vampires, and witches, and plant sims but mostly only the ones not born as such, not that there were many going to LFT at the time, or many LFT students overall compared to now, she had chosen to change her name to Jenny Smith before meeting dad, she didn’t know they were going to fall in love. So once she was out of college they married and it was considered part of the rebellion, which is still going on, but doesn’t involve earth anymore, just sixam and another planet. Once my cousins grow up, the three planets will have contact with each other!”

Ophelia and Ripp are also born in 1999, Tank is born in 1998, Buck is born in 2006.

Buzz and Lyla were born in 1965 and 1968.

Willow was born in 1959, Olive in 1953, Nervous in 1983.

Circe was born in 1984, Loki in 1981, Erin 1987. The beaker family is set in 2014.

Meanwhile the singles household and loner household are set in 2010. They call themselves singles household and have the surname singles bc they changed their last names as part of a cult thing and are now a semi polycule.

Ajay is born in 1980, eventually he dates and marries Lola, Kristen is born in 1983.

Overall the theme is being set about 2015 or at least in the 2010s, which means the sims 1 is set about 1990 and sims 3 in 1965.

…I think that works.

Maybe Maybe 🤔 the dates should be a decade later?

There are two kinds of people at a party: Erin Beaker and everyone else Also, what is Violet staring at?? And why is she thinking about Tybalt? She's either disassociated or is about to start another MLM campaign involving Tybalt.

John Mole could be a local Heart Throb as he accepts everyone's love equally but doesn’t reciprocate. What we know for absolute sure is that he's a terrible kisser.

I didn't take pictures of The Bell household (everyone except Sharon was boring) but Sharon is pregnant and I legit do not know who the father is - it's up between Ajay Loner, John Mole and Carlos Contender.

Tony: Tony is allergic to cats. So is his brother who loves cats and still wants one regardless but Tony is like "hell no" Tony is okay with Val's greyhounds though.

Miguel: Miguel has only been seriously sick once in life and that's because he kept working overtime on the ranch and got a flu. Then he was scolded by Kimiko for not asking Colt or Amos for help. He knows better now lol

Kimiko: She boasts about being the popular girl in high school but she never had any real friends, others just followed her around cause they liked her for being pretty and smart but they weren't friends. She thought she was too good for friends until Miguel humbled her (ironically considering he was always a loner but I guess they both were good for each other in that regard)

Ajay: Ajay really likes spicy food, he can't cook it much though because everyone else in the household except Sasi, cannot tolerate spicy food at all (especially Sid) Ajay just goes to the spice festival with Sasi every year instead. Quality werewolf dad and werewolf daughter bonding.

Sid: Sid has read every book in the magic realm library, some of them twice even! He is okay re reading books but it is nice to find something new. Ajay tries to find new ones for him and once for Sid's birthday, Ajay managed to collect a bunch of Moonwood Mill history books and a moncaster wand he found in the tunnels and gave it to Sid.

Fritz: So I imagine has electric alien powers, his antenna twitch when there is a lot of electric energy near him and if he gets really angry he will unintentionally let off electricity during his tantrum or meltdown and sometimes knocks out the neighborhood power 😬 Luckily he only ever gets that angry if he see's someone try to harm Nico. He is also a lot stronger than he looks and he will bite in self defense...which also delivers an electric shock so it's like being bitten by a shark and getting hit with a taser. Not fun, but he's harmless 99% of the time heh

Megakingom Makeovers!

I had a brief setback in the form of a single piece of CC deciding to crash the Beaker lot, but aside from that I have been plugging along nicely, setting up the Megakingdom. In this post, enjoy the rest of the Strangetown makeovers and the first few Riverblossom Hills makeovers!

Ajay Loner:

I had to give somebody a serf hood, and he got the short end of the stick. It protects him from the desert sun, probably. Being a peasant in Strangetown, he'll probably be a miner.

They're the only Yeoman family in Strangetown, and will therefore own the local hedge tavern.

Nervous is going to move in with his mom after a round or so, when she formally acknowledges him as her heir. Loki's going to try to manipulate matters so that his sister Erin marries Nervous and becomes the next Duchess of Strangetown--they rarely have chemistry in my games, and I'm probably going to make Nervous have feelings for his dear friend Pascal, but I think under medieval rules, Loki can force the matter as long as Erin and/or Nervous don't have better legal offers, and as long as Olive doesn't object. Looking forward to playing that Drama.

Moving on to Riverblossom Hills, we start with Alexandra Teatherton (nee O'Mackey)

It is technically possible for her to fulfill her dream of being a pirate (literally, not through the Adventurer career), but she will have to earn (or marry) her way up to Yeoman so she can move to Bluewater Village, then get hired on a ship owned by somebody else (nobody owns a ship yet) and work her way up to Captain. (...I may add some mutiny mechanics so she can take over an become a true pirate, but one step at a time here).

No particular plans for them yet; Gabe needs a new wife to provide him with an heir, and Jules needs to start courting.

He kept his kilt for formalwear, albeit a less modern version. And you better believe he's gonna be a peasant farmer.

I didn't stick closely to Jason's original outfit, figuring this is a man who abandoned society to go live in the woods with his dryad wife. He should look the part a little more! I could have kept Rose in her plantsim outfit, or something close to it, but this green dress was impossible to resist. As the yeoman family of Riverblossom Hills, they may run a hedge tavern, although it's highly likely I'll have them run an orchard as well.

In case anyone's curious, I decided to delete Hat's Gestation-Based Aging in favor of 1 Day = 1 Year Aging, although I haven't decided how to handle college yet as I struggle to get my sims through 24-hour semesters. Most likely, I'll use the Semester Changes mod to make each college year be one 48-hour semester, and then play college rounds double. It's not perfect, but I can't think of any other method that would fit. (well, I could make an in-hood college as described in the MCC rules, but I don't wanna.) All this is going to mean that I need to carefully figure out all premade sims' ages and birthdates all over again, which is always both fun and tedious at the same time.

I'm several play (well, makeover and build) sessions ahead of my posts; today I finished making over all Riverblossom Hills sims, and I built the Baldwins' hedge tavern, the Clevelands' home, and the Cordials' magic shop. I also did quick exterior remodels of two BDC buildings, which was fun. I still have to give makeovers to all the Veronaville sims (including the Picasos, the Travellers, and Cy Roseland, moved to Veronaville for bloodline diversity), all premade college sims, Kaylynn Langerak, and as many townies as I can grab; and I need to build/remodel 2-3 BDC homes (one for Duke Armand DeBateau, and either one or two depending on whether I decide to keep Lord Connor Weir and Lord Geoff Rutherford living together or not), plus quick facelifts for all remaining unowned homes and community lots so they don't look stupid in the background. Then it'll just be a matter of setting up sims' ages, traits, an secondary aspirations correctly... and then I can start playing? While continuing to remodel locations in the next subhood as I go? Man, I am getting there.

Loner Household [1]

Here we are with Ajay. He usually ends up with Lola in my playthroughs but we'll see what'll happen.

This time around Ajay is a bit of a dawg. He already made out with Erin.

He still doesn't have a wish for a particular job so I greet Coral to get him to roll something.

Sadly there is no business career available today. He took Law as a temporary one.

I check and this dirty dog doesn't even have a crush on Erin.

I thought these two would get along and what do you know Chloe goes for the gold.

And right after this I had the brilliant idea of making over the DJ because I like making over DJs. As you can imagine the game crashed following that event. *hits head on the wall*
