Star Saver
Birth Name: Floria | Adeptus Name: Star Saver
Honorary Adeptus of Liyue
Vision: Dendro | Weapon: Catalyst (primary) | Shielding Capabilities
Personality
If you're wanting to befriend one of the Adepti, Floria is the easiest one to befriend. She's very sweet and energetic, though she does have her serious moments, particularly when someone is in danger. Don't believe that this means she is easy to fool, however, if you're befriending her with malicious intent, she will be able to tell, whether through body language or word choice. Though, if you're coming to her to meet up with one of the other Adepti, and you're genuine about it, she'll do anything to help you. She'll even introduce you to that Adeptus and put in a good word for you if she decides you're trustworthy.
She is very protective - both as a result of her contract with Rex Lapis and on her own. If she hears someone in danger, she will come to their aid immediately, throwing one of her protective shields around the person(s) under threat. She'll take down the threat if it's not already been dealt with by Alatus (say if you run into her while she's not on patrol) and then will escort the ones she shielded back to safety.
She is incredibly patient so long as she knows you're not malicious. It doesn't matter if it takes months for you to open up to her, she's a stickler for adhering to people's boundaries and she'll wait patiently until you trust her. She'll never rush for you to tell her something or tell you to hurry up if you're struggling to find the words you want to say.
Floria also has a musical side. It's not so uncommon to hear her humming or see her with a flute in hand. She knows all manner of instruments but those are her preferred ones. Rarely does she sing during her patrols, instead preferring a more visual way of guiding scared souls to her, but she will if those she saved are in need of comfort. This is particularly the case for children of all ages.
Of course, no one can be sunshiney all the time and as such, she has her moments where she is more withdrawn. This notably happens on the anniversary of Guizhong's fall and on dates of other such losses. Do not fear, she will not grouch at you if you discover her on one such day (as even then she's still likely to go on a short patrol out of duty alone), but she might seem... tired. Though, she never requires an offering in return for her protection, knowing that you were thinking of her on such occasions would lift her spirits more than you could know.
Appearance
Given that she is a shapeshifter by nature, her appearance varies greatly. Rarely will you ever spot her looking exactly the same two days in a row. Her hair color, length, style, and her eye color vary day-to-day. Some days she'll have features such as wings, scales, or other animal parts such as ears & tails.
But don't fret. There are easy ways to tell that Floria is the one you're talking to. For one, her skin color never changes - it stays that pale shade at all times. Another consistency is the mark on her right bicep in the shape of Alatus' Yaksha mask.
Plus, if you come across her on her patrols, she leaves a trail of flowers and small grasses behind her at all moments. The trail wilts once she's out of the area and the few that don't wither away will never overpower the existing wildlife in the area.
Another thing is her height. She typically stands around 5'5" but her height can also vary. Most notably, she'll change it when she's talking to children (especially scared children) or when people are in danger from something large. She'll get down on the same height level as those children to not intimidate them more. But when people are in danger by a larger threat, she can make herself as tall as the trees. She won't go any taller than that (rarely needs to anyway) and she never stays that tall for long.
Backstory
Her pre-Liyue backstory is TBD - we need more info on Fontaine's lore first.
Floria is another of the Adepti that was around during the time of the Guili Assembly. Her role is not unlike that of the Yaskhas - to protect the people of Liyue - however, her capabilities fall to a more defensive standpoint rather than offensive. In fact, her official contract with Rex Lapis, even to this day, is to defend the people of Liyue from danger, more notably 'to shield them when there's a threat the Yaksha must fight.'
As such, some of her closest friends and allies were the Yaksha (particularly the Five Yaksha - though she knew some of the lesser ones) and she viewed them as her family. It was common to see her on patrol with any one of the Yaksha, though now she's commonly associated with Xiao (or Alatus as he was known then).
Current Era
In the modern day, her role is still very much the same - to keep an eye out for Liyue's citizens. Her patrol tends to run from Qingce Village down to Liyue Harbor and back up as that is where all the people are situated, but occasionally, she'll stray into the wilderness for those adventurers who need help returning home.
Floria's role in the Traveler's journey is being the first of the Adepti that meets the Traveler once they receive the Sigil of Permission from Tartaglia. She aids them in meeting the others to convey the news of Rex Lapis' death and is involved in the battle that follows shortly thereafter.
Other Details/Trivia
She has innate protection against more elements and powers. As such, she's able to withstand any effects that the karmic debt the Yakshas possess might bring.
Her shields relay this protection to those within them.
Her shields can span entire courtyards and be used to protect buildings in this way - but it drains her of her energy much quicker. Some large shields can take days for her to recover her energy. It's much preferred for her to make a bunch of smaller shields than one large one. But then again, if she has to protect a large building or settlement, she has no choice.
I feel like her story quest would have to do with leftover guilt from Guizhong's fall plus the fall of the Yaksha during the Archon War and letting go of that.
She technically can fight with any weapon (she's had thousands of years to train after all) but her most comfortable one is the catalyst.
The only reason she's not a true Adeptus is that she's not from Liyue - she originally hails from Fontaine like my other shapeshifter. But everyone considers her one regardless (even Rex Lapis - as I mentioned, she does hold a contract with him like the other Adepti).
-------------
That's what I've got for now! I'll make a separate post (or story) about how she & Xiao get together but this is about her not the relationship <3 I really do love how she's taken over my mind lately (I literally planned this all in one night I was so excited lol)
Thank you for reading this and please ask questions about her! I wanna develop her even further. I might make a separate post that I'll likely link back here about her relationships with the other characters <3

Do you think Jikook's bond (whatever it is) is a goldmine to HYBE and they are trying to profit off it?
Thanks for such an intelligent question, having had one such mentally stimulating ask in a while.
Is Hybe overtly exploiting the chemistry that BTS has and that each pair has within the band, absolutely. I mean that bit should be so easy to wrap your head around.
Romance, bromance is one of the top selling genres of all time. The idea of BTS having a super strong fated bond between them is so commercially viable literal movies and songs have been written about them. 7 dates, bullet proof, and their recent Kdrama series etc to be exact.
And ships sell. I've said this since day one. The commercial viability of ships is just an offshoot of the commercial viability of bands as discussed above.
So yes, within that context, Hybe definitely would gravitate towards the two members with the most chemistry, who also happen to be two of the most liked members of the group, two of the most popular members and the most influential members of the group.
You don't go to war with your weakest soldiers.
Jikook is a very strong ship. We all know that.
They've had the most running in the group with some of the ships rising and falling over the years in terms of chemistry and popularity.
There's a lot to do with a pair like that. Reality shows, travel shows, documentaries, memoirs, tell all, cooking shows.
I watch a lot of reality TV and it's not hard to see how Jikook would fit right into that realm.
If BTS was love Island 🏝 Jikook would get their own spinoff after the season ended.
Fans love them, they get the most votes, the camera adores them and producers have so much they wanna do with them.
Am I making sense???
Going off with the Love Island analogy, just because Jikook are fan favorite, and the crew likes to follow them every where with a camera, and they are getting a spin off show of just the two of them don't necessarily mean their bond is fake that they are only existing for fan service or that the company is exploiting them.
There's just so much to do with them. They are fun entertaining adorable and a pleasure to work with.
So to answer your question I'll say yes and no.
Yes, they definitely a Goldmine for hybe in as far as content production goes.
No because they get to kill two birds with one stone. They can make money off of them, but also they create a safe space for Jikook to have that longevity to explore and nurture their relationship. They love being together. They love doing what they do. Hybe simply allows them to live their dreams and relationship much longer.
I've always said, if any queer pair in kpop were real you'd find them in a ship because ships would be their perfect cover for it. And we've seen jikook use this card very often to get out of trouble. Everything they do would be chalked down to fan service no matter how egregious they were. It can be invalidating and frustrating but In a way, it's also safe for them that way.
If I got paid to cozy up to my girlfriend, travel the world with her, eat as much as we can, hike, experience all and any culture- yall could call us anything you want I'm taking that offer🤣🤣🤣🤣
But we gotta give credit where credit is due because to me it's Jungkook that lay the foundation for all of this to be possible when he put of his first GCF with Jimin and later Jimin lay on top of him on a couch talking bout how they ought to do it again and how he would even model for him if filming is what he wanted to do.
I think they gave Hybe the idea of what it can do with them.
You can tell these things are things they both naturally want to do and have already done. During Run, they come up with a team name, they work well together, during rehearsals they stay behind and work on their routines tweaking it a bit, they come up with cooking shows to do, stay up all night doing nothing.
They are by themselves very creative and adventurous.
So like I said, I don't think this is hybe mining them but more so amplifying and giving them the production value to do what they already have been doing which they love, fans love and the company loves.
I'm sure if any other pair had this same organic pull towards eachother and wanted to be around eachother all the time too hybe would be just as curious and invested in them but as it turns out there isn't.
We are not stupid, we see them. And we see how some members act like they can't wait to get out of set when others keep it going even after they yell cut.
We see them all.

Maximus - the main antagonist in the series?
I finally watched Fallout and I want to comment on one thing, apart from the whole Cooper and Lucy relationship, because there are a lot of analyzes on Tumblr and Twitter (after watching the series, I will immediately rewatch it to find some additional hints, and if not, it's just for fun, because the series for me... was a masterpiece, it's been a long time since I couldn't break away from the series like I did from Fallout, especially since I was playing games, so it was wonderful to feel this atmosphere again, to sum up the sentiment completely took me far away...), so I'll just link some of these analyzes and hints here, in case someone hasn't read it:
It's 100% CGI, you can see how at the end that thread moves completely unnaturally, there's no way it's real, it had to be CGI and it had to be for something, it makes no sense to add such a little, tiny detail with CGI after nothing..., after all, money is spent on it, it's one thing to write "I love you" in the background, and another thing is to make a heart out of thread using CGI... (at least that's what I think, I don't know anything about CGI, but even such a small thing must cost a bit... :D )
Apart from the fact that Max and Lucy have practically no foreshadowings and no chemistry, and they DON'T KNOW each other at all, because their whole relationship is based on "I met a nice girl/boy and I think I like her/him", because let's be honest, there is no talk about love here, they liked each other because Max helped Lucy with the radiation and Lucy helped Max get out of the armor, they helped each other and were nice to each other, that's all... but it's not enough to talk about love, liking each other yes, but not about love (I'm surprised when people, for example on Twitter, write that Max and Lucy love each other, where...???) and as I mentioned above, they don't know each other, they know practically nothing about themselves, about their plans, dreams, tastes, perception of the world, etc., they know nothing about each other, they have barely met, and their entire relationship is based on the fact that in this world it is simply difficult to have any other person, so they instinctively grab whatever comes first. Lucy dreamed of getting married and having children, she was taught to focus on the ,,survival of the species", her whole wedding was pure ,,politics", and in the end it turned out that she married a bandit who then tried to kill her, while Maximus probably never didn't think about these matters, surrounded by practically only guys and focused on military life..., so their entire relationship is based on: ,,he's/she's nice, ok, I'll take it", that's why their relationship seems rushed and has zero chemistry , so in my opinion it is not a bad writing (like with Chaggie from Hazbin Hotel in my opinion), it is supposed to be like that and it makes logical sense, as I have already presented above, this relationship is supposed to be quick and without chemistry, because it is supposed to show their standards, how low they are, in this world... and Cooper, on the other hand, comes from a completely different world...
By the way, unlike Max and Lucy, who nevertheless spend some time together while traveling sensibly, we don't see any specific conversations between them that could bring them closer to each other, as I wrote above, they don't know each other and in fact they don't even try to get to know themselves, while in the case of Cooper and Lucy, Lucy constantly asks Cooper questions, and sometimes he answers (in fact, not directly, but he answers), they have a conversation about torture, Lucy asks Cooper why he is like this, why he continues this ( scene with cannibalism), Lucy asks what he is (water scene), etc., Lucy asks Cooper questions, wants to get to know him, wants to learn more about him, and he also learns more about her through her talkativeness (e.g. the initial scene when Cooper and Lucy meet for the first time and Lucy tries to diplomatically calm him down, or the scene when Lucy gives Cooper the vials), Cooper and Lucy have already gotten to know each other more than Max and Lucy, and now Lucy has gone with Cooper....
But leaving Cooper and Lucy, because this post is not about them, let's move on to Max..., Max, who in my opinion has a great predisposition to become the main or at least one of the main (because the most main may be those from Vault-Tec) antagonists in series, why....
At the beginning, I was positive towards Max, unlike Lucy, who seemed naive and stupid to me at the beginning, and I don't like such characters (of course, I liked Cooper from the very beginning, after all, Hancock was my Fallout husband in Fallout 4 ;) ), and then she surprised me in the scene with her husband, when she ,,killed" him (almost, but still), I didn't expect such a change in the character at all..., later she surprised me by the fact that she is not as stupid as she seemed in the in the beginning, yes she is naive but not stupid, she just had to get out of the bubble called the Vault and I can't wait to see how her character will evolve in season 2 after all this and being together with Cooper..., I want to see her show her claws..., I want to see even more how, under this guise of a naive girl, there is actually a strong and dangerous woman who can cope on her own and is still fair and honorable..., I love such characters :) , but I had a different experience with Max, whom I liked at the beginning, but the further into the forest, the more I felt like ,,guy, you make more and more stupid decisions, what's wrong with you...", at the beginning Max seemed to me as reasonable, honorable, fair and a real soldier, and at the end I only saw him as an unreasonable 15-year-old boy making stupid, irresponsible and evil decisions with his own ego problem... sorry, but this character gave me the vibe at the end that he would go towards darkness, and when he finds out that Lucy is allied with Cooper..., a guy he fought and who completely defeated and humiliated him..., a guy who, by the way, he hasn't seen since that fight..., Cooper and Max haven't had any interaction in the show apart from this fight, so Max has absolutely no knowledge that Cooper is ,,in the game", and that Lucy could have gone with him at all, he's probably already forgotten about him, and when he remembers..., I'm really curious about his reaction....
The first and most important thing about Maximus in the series... in season one, when asked why he joined the brotherhood, he replies that to ,,hurt the people who hurt me"... that's not a praiseworthy answer..., this is not a good answer..., sure, I understand the issue of revenge etc., but as good and golden rules teach (speaking of Lucy's golden rules, because she sticks to them and this is what distinguishes her from, above all, Maximus) revenge brings no good..., Lucy, despite everything, didn't want to take revenge on Moldaver, even though many people she knew died because of her, her father was kidnapped, and she almost died, she didn't want to take revenge on her, of course, she was out of her own turf and surrounded by enemies, but still, her goal was to free her father, not revenge, while Max's goal is simply revenge, he doesn't want to, for example, rebuild Shady Sands or be a good knight who helps people, bring peace to this world, NO, he just wants revenge..., he wants to become a knight for his own selfish purposes, not for other people, while Lucy does things for other people, wants to free her father, helps Wilzig, worries about dog while Cooper is dragging her, helping Cooper with the vials, helping the ghouls (of course she didn't know and probably wouldn't understand that they were wild, her intentions were good, and that something bad came out of it is something she couldn't have known at that moment), she also helps in vault 4 when she first thinks something bad is happening there, and then she tells Max to return the core and kills his mother out of mercy, just like Cooper killed Roger (I think at this point, after the incident with wild ghouls, Lucy understood what Cooper did then and that it was good after all), Lucy does everything to help people and live according to the golden rules, while Max is selfish and thinks only about himself, leaving aside the issue of revenge, he also says that he wanted something bad to happen to Dane, of course he didn't really do anything to them, but he wanted something bad to happen to them... what kind of person do you have to be to want them to become your best friend harm, just because they got what you wanted..., from the very beginning the series shows us not to have any illusions about Maximus and that he is not really and will not be a good guy...., he let Titus die and sure, the guy was a dick and I would probably get angry too and want to kill him, but kill him anyway... quickly... while from what we see, Max just lets Titus die slowly, I don't know about you, but for me there is a difference between killing someone quickly because he deserved it, and letting it happen and WAITING AROUND him until he slowly dies... that was cruel... I would understand if Max killed him, but he KILLED, he showed some humanity despite everything, even though the guy deserved to die, and he didn't wait next to him and listen to him slowly die... it was evil....
Then, when he has armor, he enters a situation with a guy who raped a chicken (Cooper would be really angry :D ) and instead of learning the whole situation, calming them down and finding out what's going on, who is right, he immediately takes the side of the one who is oppressed, thus oppressing the one who is actually right, takes him brutally by the hair and is happy about it..., seriously..., you are happy about this situation..., even if he were helping a good person, I don't think so that there is something to be happy about here..., although what I really think he enjoys is the power, the power that the armor gives him..., this is bad again... if someone likes the feeling of power so much, power and control, it always reflects badly on him..., then (after painfully holding the innocent man all the time) he throws the guy to the ground and when the other explains the situation that took place, Maximus doesn't even apologize..., he is only distracted and then says, ,,Okay. On your way, citizen." what..., as if you hadn't hurt this ,,citizen" a moment ago and didn't judge him badly..., not at all, there's nothing to apologize for here..., it's better to go on your way..., God..., this was the scene from which my opinion about Maximus slowly started to go down, because even with Titus I still made excuses for him (even if it was cruel), but from that moment Maximus with starting with my grade of his character as ,,4+", at the end of the series he dropped to a grade of ,,2-" and it's not that this is a poorly written character, NO, in my opinion it is a very well-written character, just a bad character man and I mean assessing his humanity, not the creators' writing, because in my opinion it is very good :)
In addition, of course, we have the issue that he lies to everyone that he is Titus because he wants to be a knight and clearly wants people to admire him (again, the issue of his ego), at the beginning he clearly wants to kill Thaddeus in cold blood, but then he changes his mind (apart from what killing Thaddeus would give you..., even if you came back with the head, you would be responsible for two deaths..., come on...), then of course he tries to kill him again after he tells him the truth..., then we have the Vault 4 arc in episode 6 and halfway through the episode when Max goes to the armor that is in the room, he looks at him through the glass with a stupid smile, he turns around and with that smile and behavior, with his body movements, he looks to me like he told them ,,See, this is my armor, this is me, I'm a knight"... it looks as if he wanted someone to come up to him and ask him about it, and he could brag about how cool he is, because I really don't know how else to read this short scene...:
Sorry for the poor quality, I did it on my phone.
then he turns back to the armor and his facial expression changes, he frowns:
and we have a close-up of the entrance to the core, and Maximus sees the guy next to him screwing in a light bulb and asking where it came from they take electricity, he goes to that place and wants to take their fusion core..., literally at that moment he wants to brazenly steal their fusion core, the people who helped them and cured him, he wants to take away their only source of energy..., or Maximum is so stupid that he doesn't know that this is literally their source of survival and thinks that they can cope without him, although it's still vile and I don't believe it, or Maximus is just a vile, evil and selfish man who doesn't matter with no one else but himself and what would make him feel good..., just look at his face at this moment...:
he knows that he is doing something he shouldn't and he is clearly doing it with full premeditation...
later in the plot, in episode 7, when Maximus sees the inhabitants of Vault 4 doing something to Lucy, which Maximus does..., of course he doesn't find out about the whole situation first, he doesn't try to eavesdrop on what they're talking about or anything, he just rushes in in armor and starts attacking everyone around, seriously... how stupid and irresponsible it was of him, I won't even mention... and when they finally release them, which Maximus does..., he takes the armor with the core with him, without thinking that it is their only source of energy and, what's most funny, he doesn't want to give it back..., NO, he wants to keep it so he can walk around in his big armor and show everyone "look how great I am!", says that he needs a core for his armor, and without the armor he won't be a knight, Lucy tells him that a knight shouldn't steal, and Max replies ,,with this armor, I can help people", how have you helped people so far..., you let escape a chicken rapist..., besides, what kind of help is it if, in order to provide this help to people, you steal something that will put other innocent people at risk of death..., you can't build something good on something bad, poisonous roots, will give poisonous fruit, no other way..., then the best thing is..., because be careful... he is trying to MANIPULATE HER! Yes..., this guy who supposed wants to be good, noble, fair..., no wait..., he wants to be a knight to take revenge..., nevermind..., it's up to him anyway fits..., he manipulates her, playing on her feelings, telling her that he wants to help her find her father and asks her if she would give up the core if it meant she wouldn't get her dad back, if it was up to the core to get her father back..., only then Lucy convinces him to give up the core when she says that if his father found out about it, it would break his heart and that she can't do that, only then Maximus gives up on convincing her and decides to give up the core. Lucy is his moral compass here, and it's possible that she would put him back on the right path if she were with him, but in the end, Lucy chooses Cooper and leaves with him.
To sum up... where do people who ship Lucy and Max have this good and beloved Max... where... where is Max a better person and a better match for Lucy than Cooper... (because I saw some comments under some episodes of the series that ,,Ghoul is evil and Max is good and honorable"), so far Max makes more bad decisions and does it with full premeditation and/or out of his own stupidity..., when Cooper, when he does something, it has a purpose..., he never does anything without a reason, yes, he shot Roger, but he did it out of mercy, first he made Roger remember the good times, so that in those last moments he died happily (this is one of my favorite scenes, if not my favorite, it was sweet and touching despite the situation...), he shoots Wilzig, but in the foot, probably so that he won't just run away, it's not to kill him, since he probably at that moment he thinks that he has to deliver him alive, because it is only from Wilzig that Lucy learns that only his head is enough, not himself, he kills people in the town, but only those who attacked him, he doesn't go around houses and doesn't kill random people..., kills "guards" who were bad for him, and one obviously wanted to kill him, but he doesn't kill their boss, interestingly..., he kills, of course, three guys at the beginning who are also ready to kill him and they want to force him to work for them, after practically lying in a coffin underground for 30 years, he kills the farmer's son, when the son reaches for a gun, you can see here how Cooper is poking this son to see if he is capable of doing it, but he himself doesn't reach for the gun until this son reaches for it, Cooper always wants to know, to be sure whether the man he is killing really deserves it, whether there is really a point in killing him, unlike Maximus, who never finds out who he is really guilty, he prefers to just ,,go with the wave" and he orders the one he finds guilty at first glance, he even wants to kill Thaddeus at the beginning (of course he doesn't do it in the end, but he wants to) even though the guy hasn't done any harm to him yet (and bullying ,,at school" is not a good reason to kill, it's not a reason at all), and he's not torturing Lucy like some still claim, even though Cooper himself and the entire scene says he's using her as bait, not torturing her, and yet there are still people who say he's torturing her here..., really I know that some people sometimes have trouble reading the situation on the screen, but when the entire situation on the screen screams "BAIT!" and the character who uses the bait says directly that he thinks torture doesn't work and uses her as bait, like one can still claim that there is some torture in this scene..., are there really people who cannot hear and see things that are said directly..., how..., Cooper used to be a good guy and he still is, deep down, he's still that good guy. When there is a scene from the past when Cooper has to play a slightly worse guy on camera to show that his character also makes mistakes, he doesn't want to do it, he doesn't like it, because in his opinion a good person should be good and not make such mistakes, Lucy will direct him back to the right path, and he will teach her a little about life, this is the perfect dynamic of two different, yet very similar characters who can and do influence each other's development.
And I don't know about you, but for me this scene is terrifying:
this whole brotherhood is like a religious sect, and at this moment Maximus has become a kind of prophet and that look in his eyes...:
for me it is disappointment combined with the desire revenge, disappointment because he found out that the father of the girl he liked is responsible for the destruction of his house and probably the death of his relatives (we never have memories of Maximus' relatives, which is interesting, so it is not certain), and he managed to escape, and the desire I don't think I need to explain revenge... Maximus' plot in season one starts with revenge and ends with revenge, it's his plot, whether someone likes it or not... and in my opinion, as a result of everything I have described, he will change into an increasingly worse person, he was not good from the beginning and will only get worse....
This is a long post, as usual for me... unfortunately, I don't know how to write short... and besides, I like it when all the details are brought to light :) , that's the end, thank you for reading and have a nice day/evening/night :)

Call Home
543 words
for the @summer-of-bad-batch prompt "Yeah kid, we're fine"
warning: sappy
"Yeah, kid, we're fine," Wrecker said over Hunter's shoulder. They spoke to the bluish tinged image of Omega on the screen. Her blond hair was cut short, above her ears. Hunter's mouth had fallen open at the initial sight of it and Crosshair had nudged him, widening his eyes at him when Hunter turned at the touch.
"And Batcher?" Omega asked. "How's my girl?"
She sounds lonely, Hunter thought. He tilted the screen to include the hound who was in her bed sprawled on her back, all four feet in the air. "Her life is ruff. R U F F," Hunter spelled out, laughing.
Omega giggled. "What else is new? How is your garden this year, Crosshair?"
"It's growing. I've produced enough melons to feed your rebellion." Crosshair leaned over Hunter's other shoulder so she could see his smile. Omega smiled back, her hand reaching up as if she could touch them through the screen. Hunter's hand lifted automatically and dropped again.
"Wrecker caught the biggest shark you've ever seen yesterday. Tell her about it, Wreck," Hunter said.
Wrecker's eyes, already shining, sparkled as he told Omega about his catch. He had, of course, released it.
"Did you take a picture? I want to see!"
"No, but it was enormous. Could have swallowed Batcher like she was a piece of Mantell mix!"
Hunter cleared his throat. He wanted to know how she was, what she was doing but he was afraid to ask. Afraid of the answers she might give. "How...how are you, Omega? How is the rebellion?"
"Everything's...great. Small victories, you know? We just have to stay focused on our wins. Hera says we're getting closer every day. My ship is still in one piece, so that's...that's good..." Her voice over the holocall sounded faint, tired.
Kriff, Hunter thought, it's worse than I imagined. He took a deep breath and Wrecker squeezed his shoulder.
"I better go. I miss you guys. So. Much." Omega leaned forward and suddenly they could see every line in her face. The circles under her eyes gave her a worn appearance.
"Ok, kid. Take care and call again soon," Wrecker said, touching her fingers through the screen. She kept her hand there and when Wrecker dropped his, Crosshair brought his fingers up to meet hers. "Love you, Mega.." he said softly before turning quickly to leave, the back of his hand swiping at his eyes.
"Love you too, Crosshair. Miss you."
Hunter reached for her image, pressing his palm flat against hers.
"Are you getting enough sleep, Omega?" he asked, hurriedly getting the words he had wanted to ask earlier out. "Are they taking care of you?"
"Yes, Hunter," she rolled her eyes at him, but she didn't remove her hand. "You don't have to worry about me." Her reassuring smile did nothing for Hunter and he sighed deeply. Their eyes met through the screen and he wished he could wrap his arms around her, keep her safe.
"Can't help it. I'll always worry about you. Til you're home safe. I love you, kid. Talk again soon."
"Love you, Hunter."
The call ended, and her image faded to black. Hunter's hand stayed where it was, resting against the smooth glass for several long minutes.

Hi Star! Huge congratulations on your 2k milestone - it is so well deserved!!
Could I possibly get "Let's Hear it for the Boy" with our beloved ginger general?
Thank you so much and congrats again!!
Drunk / In Love
Track 3: Let's Hear It for the Boy by Deniece Williams - Give me a character and I'll write a short blurb or headcanons on how they would want you to show them that you love them.
General Hux x F! Reader / 📼 ✨ mixtape milestone ✨ 📼
Thanks for the request, my love! Sorry it took me so long!
The idiots from these two stories are back again. Sorry I'm obsessed with them (I'm not sorry at all). Warnings for some minor sexual content and weird consent issues!
Phasma said you were drunk.
What she failed to mention was how—how drunk you were, or how you ended up that way. It was only supposed to be a friendly dinner when Hux first suggested it (and didn't stop suggesting it until Phasma finally gave in).
He thought if you made connections here—even just one—that it might make you more comfortable being with him on this ship, and so far from anything familiar.
Although this might be too familiar.
He reaches the door to Phasma's quarters and they glide open automatically, programmed to recognize his approach. He sees Phasma seated at the table, out of uniform, a smirk playing on her wine-stained mouth.
Armitage is not prepared for the dark flash in his peripherals, or the arms around his neck.
Your embrace frightens him, and that alone is enough to leave him feeling hot, stomach swimming, even when he recognizes your touch on instinct. It has him weak at the knees, just this, has his heart in his throat as all the alarm and panic well up inside him, threatening to spill out.
Then your lips meet his.
There's been a handful of almost-affectionate moments shared between you. The brush of your hand as you wished him goodbye one morning. A kiss on the cheek that missed its target, landing at the edge of his lips.
But nothing like this.
Hux can feel your mouth shift against his, lips turning up at the corners, and the little laugh that passes through them—maybe at the way his hands hang limply at his sides, or the crop of perspiration blooming at his collar from the warmth of your skin, the smell of you. He can't make himself kiss you back, although he wants to.
He really, really wants to.
There's no malice in your eyes when you pull away—Armitage doesn't think you're capable of malice. You smile at him sweetly, taking his hands in both of yours.
"I missed you," you tell him, each word bleeding into the next, eyes half-lidded and hazy from whatever you'd been drinking, "did you miss me?"
"I- uh, yes," he answers—unavoidably honest—his eyes flitting towards Phasma, who's so pleased with herself it practically drips from her, hanging heavier on her shoulders than the armour she usually wears.
A hot anger floods through his stomach, spiked with acrid shame. He doesn’t need any witnesses to his inept attempts at marriage.
Your smile widens, every facet of you bursting with delight knowing that he’s missed you in the hours since you last spoke his name, and then he’s back in your embrace, the sound of sweet laughter in his ear.
He reaches out for something to brace himself on, and finds nothing. It takes everything in him to keep standing.
Armitage peels your arms from around his neck, putting a desperate inch of distance between himself and the press of your body.
"Why don't we let the captain get some rest?" he asks.
Your enthusiasm at the suggestion turns his stomach into knots.
He's able to usher you through the empty halls at a speed just short of a jog, one hand at your waist to keep you from stumbling, and the other wrapped firmly around your wrist to stop any further attempts at touching him.
And, though he can’t puzzle it out just yet—with the warmth of you still against him—he knows something is wrong with you. Something that wine alone could not bring on.
Armitage knows you don’t want him. Not like this.
Yet you practically drag him through the doors of your quarters, mouth planted against his before the mechanical lock whirs into place.
All the desire in him makes him sick—feverish and weak. His body shudders against yours, nerves trying to break through skin at the gentleness of your touch.
“Armitage,” you whine, pouty in a way he’s never heard before—always so polite and obliging when you’re sober, “kiss me back.”
He couldn’t refuse you, even if he wanted to, even though he knows it would be better for both of you—knows the way this memory will torture him endlessly, until the moment he dies. Maybe long after that.
But still, he cups your face in shaking hands, and presses his uncertain lips to yours.
And it’s nothing like all the times he’s thought about this—about taking you, feeling the warmth of your breath mingling with his own, pulling you tight against him with his arm at your waist and kissing, kissing, kissing you, until he tires of the feeling, until he rids himself of all his hideous need to be loved and to be wanted.
It’s nothing like he imagined because he’s terrified. Because he can’t manage to move the ways he wants to, tripping over his feet when you stumble deeper into his chambers. Because his stomach roils at the feel of your tongue against his stubbornly closed mouth, and his arms shake with the need to move, but his hands stay where he placed them, holding hard enough to bruise, pulling you closer with enough force that part of him wonders if he’s hurting you.
And still, your mouth on his, your wandering, eager hands.
The room spins; Armitage’s reason leaves him when his feet lift from the floor, your body underneath him, and below that the cushion of his bed molding you together.
Still kissing. Still you. Your hand, guiding his down the thrumming pulse of your neck, lower. Lower.
Armitage is on the other side of the bed before the thought of how wrong what he has done truly registers, his feet planted and one hand pushing back the fallen strands of his hair.
“Armitage?”
He curses the day you learned his name, curses the ill, vile part of him that wants to go back.
He clears his throat and finds it doesn’t steady him at all.
“You- you should get some rest, I think.”
Your movements are clumsy as you crawl to him on your knees, fighting against the thick bedspread and the fabric of your skirt. There’s a little huff on your lips when you reach him, eyes big and wide and brimming with glistening tears.
“Why don’t you want me?” you whisper, and tears well up to their breaking point, slipping down your cheeks.
Fuck. He wants to touch you, and knows it’s a terrible idea, palms aching beneath the leather he wears and hates—now more than ever when it keeps him from you. His hand reaches out against his will, hovering just out of reach of your skin and the tears he can’t manage to wipe away because, once again, he is the cause of all your suffering.
“You’re- you’re drunk, darling. You’ll feel better if you just-”
“No,” you tell him, pushing his hand away with your own, “why don’t you want me ever?”
Oh, gods. Armitage recoils like you’ve slapped him, the sting of those words and what they mean destroying everything—every moment he’s agonized over since he first saw you and knew you had to be his.
“You . . . you can’t possibly believe that.”
You nod your head, fists curled at your sides petulantly, and your stubbornness would make him laugh, if it weren’t so sad.
“I do,” he whispers, then swallows, reaching for your hand. You let him take it. It gives him something to look at, watching your elegant fingers intertwine with his. “I do, but I—”
How much of this will you remember? Even now, the idea of revealing this soft, vulnerable part of him strikes fear into his very core, has him wishing he could run, wishing he could escape the way your eyes flay him wide open.
Your hand against his chest, he can feel his own heartbeat meet the shapes of your fingertips, molding to you. Armitage meets your gaze, and as frightening as it is, there’s no part of him that could deny how deeply he craves it.
“Please forgive me,” he stutters, and there aren't words for him to explain everything he needs to, just the truth. “I am—oh, gods—I am a ruinous man.”
He watches you, the muscles working in your jaw, the way your brows pull together, examining him, weighing the assessment of himself that he’s offered to you.
“No,” you tell him, “no you’re not.”
He thinks you might kiss him again, as close as you are. Close enough for him to count each of your lashes, map the constellations you’ve hidden in your eyes.
You drop to the mattress instead, and the look you give him has him holding back a laugh, the mix of stubbornness and grudging deference that has Armitage wondering how hard it’s been for you to play at obedience in your union.
“You should change,” he tells you, just resting on the edge of the bed, “you’ll be more comfortable.”
It’s easier to talk to you when you’re like this. It has Armitage feeling like he’s the one intoxicated, and he is, in a way. Because what if this is your most honest self?
He didn’t think you could make him love you any deeper, but you’ve managed.
“Don’t care,” you mumble into the pillows, trying to brush him away with a waving hand. He takes it in his own.
“You’ll ruin your dress.”
There’s a look of intense focus on your face, and he wonders if you’ll refuse again. Maybe you don’t care about the dress either, although Armitage would be disappointed. It’s one of his favorites from your incredibly extensive wardrobe—a beautiful black and cream confection that always catches his eye.
But you shift instead, turning to look up at him. “Kiss me.”
Stars, not again. Not now, when the weakest parts of him are so palpable. “I- I don’t-”
You flop into a sitting position, hold a single finger up between your faces.
“One kiss,” you concede, “okay?”
He nods, despite himself. You wait patiently for his approach, still and hardly breathing through your parted lips as he slides closer. Armitage keeps his eyes open, and so do you, heavy as they are, watching the distance between your faces fade into nothing.
It’s not like the other times he’s kissed you, although all but one had happened only a few moments ago. You let him set the pace, his lips just barely brushing your own, a sigh bubbling up from deep inside his lungs. He can only offer a little more pressure before he’s lightheaded again, little bursts of light dancing across his vision.
He pulls back from what could hardly be called a kiss, and waits for your disappointment, for your insistence that he try again, that there must be something more, or better, that he’s kept from you.
Armitage doesn’t want you to know that there’s nothing else to hope for.
You don’t say a word about it though. Just flop your arms out in front of you, waiting, satisfied in your demands.
“Help me.”
And it passes like that, with more bribes in the form of barely-there presses of his lips to yours—a kiss for you to raise your arms as he slips something soft and oversized over your head, a kiss for you to clumsily remove the dress from underneath. A kiss to get you to leave him for a moment while he changed into his own night clothes after you’d begged and begged for him to spend the night beside you, and a kiss upon his return.
It feels like a lifetime of kisses to Armitage. He doesn’t know what that number would be for anyone else, but you’ve certainly exceeded it for him. He could die in his sleep tonight and have more than he ever deserved.
And now you’re curled up beside him a hand at his waist, your head on his chest. Armitage breathes, but only barely, hoping he won’t wake you.
The tension drains from him, his body the closest it’s been to relaxed in ages. He wonders if he should ask Phasma to invite you to dinner again.
He hopes the next time he kisses you, you'll be sober enough to remember it.

o mighty hong lu master, the autism i have of him bowing down to you in your honor, i must ask a question relating to his family...
so when dante is overheating in the yield flesh intervallo and they start saying things about the ego and such, hong lu says "they're starting to sound like my grandfather!"
see i dont think hong lu's the type to compare anybody rambling to unrelated rambling so i was wondering if like. there could be any potential meaning in What his grandpa was saying relating to ego or other more crazy stuff!!
since the jia family has had super huge connections ive had maybe the idea of like. i dunno they had some insider knowledge in the past and they sent hong lu out specifically to find out more about what the more unnatural parts of the city entail since limbus as a company is secretive about that stuff. so they want to understand it proper... but that does feel a Bit out there. what do you think :3c
There is some interesting things in this ask that I wanna discuss. However, you might find some of my answers... a little bit disappointing in places. I'm gonna try to take these things point by point.
Canto 7 spoilers onward.
Hong Lu's Grandfather
There are exactly two mentions of Hong Lu's Grandfather in the game as of now iirc. The scene you mention, where Hong Lu compares Dante's ramblings to his grandfather, and another mention in the Observation Logs for Pink Shoes, where Hong Lu brings up the fact that his Grandfather would scold him and pester him into keeping a diary, something he claims he used to hate but is now not so averse to.
The most interesting thing about Hong Lu's Grandfather is that there is no living grandfather figure in Dream of The Red Chamber. Baoyu is only ever mentioned to have a grandmother. This already puts some intrigue on him, as he's a complete wildcard adaptation-wise. There is no real way for us to predict what his deal is based on DOTRC.
That means that the fact that Hong Lu compares Dante's ramblings about ego and sin to how his Grandfather talks is something to note for sure. However... well, I'll get to it.
The Knowledge the Jia Family has
Canto 7 came with some major reveals about the Jia Family due to Xichun's presence and her interactions with Hong Lu. More specifically, we know roughly what kind of esoteric knowlege the Jia Family possesses, and what they're looking for.
Xichun, and by extension the rest of the Family, are aware of the existence of the Rivers - one of which being the River of Oblivion that was introduced in Canto 7, as well as, very likely, the very same River that Lobcorp would draw from using Cogito. So yes, it's not unlikely for the Jia Family to have some awareness of the more supernatural side that the human subconscious possesses. Hell, Xichun herself outright states she, in some way, can sense Bari's past presence, who need I remind you is also the Bookhunter from one of the bad endings in Library of Ruina.
However, that's not all! Xichun also reveals what exactly the Family is looking for, and what they sent out the current candidates for becoming the next Family Head for - a River that can grant immortality. Specifically, "the immortality of the mind", which Hong Lu himself describes as "to be free from aging and death".
So, hey, case closed right? We know exactly why Hong Lu was sent out now, don't we?
Well... it's not that simple. Because, unfortunately, there's some things I want to correct you on before I conclude this.
Hong Lu's Comparisons
Here's the thing with Hong Lu. Unlike what you say, he is absolutely the type to compare different unrelated things with each other. In fact, one of his major MOs during conversations is using tangentially related anecdotes to steer conversations - see how he brought up his sibling cheating at a game in response to Heathcliff doing a jab at rich people in Canto 2, or how on the empty party ship in Canto 5 he goes off on a tangent about a spooky story that's barely related to the situation at hand.
Deflection and distraction is something Hong Lu does a lot, especially right after he says things that are concerning or otherwise don't get a positive reaction out of others. His comparisons of things going on to his home is one of those kinds of deflections/distractions. In fact, I'd say it's a lot more common for him to compare things that aren't That related rather than compare things that are Actually related.
So while I do think it is something to note that Hong Lu compares Dante's ramblings to those of his Grandfather, I really don't think the connection here is nearly as strong as you posit.
Yes, we know the Jias have knowledge that most common folk in the City don't have access to, among which is the knowledge of the Rivers. It's also very likely that this is the kind of thing Hong Lu's Grandfather could go on tangents on, especially with how many of the Rivers we currently know of having effects that affect specifically the mind.
That being said, since this is Hong Lu we're talking about, I doubt the connection is as direct as his Grandfather literally rambling about the exact same topic. Again, we're talking about the guy who, upon hearing the mention of shareholders, shares an anecdote about a sibling trying to get a specific color of passport as justification for asking about whether Vergilius specifically knows the shareholder of H Corp. The connections he makes aren't usually all that strong, and that's kind of the point.
Which is where I have to talk about the elephant in the room.
Hong Lu almost definitely lied about why he left the Jia Household
See, in TKT Hong Lu shares that he was sent out by his elders to "see and experience as much of the world as possible before he returns", but... isn't it kind of strange?
That doesn't match what Xichun said about what the Family Head Candiates were sent out into the worl for. They're meant to be looking for immortality specifically, not fucking around and learning as much as they can.
And, in fact, this isn't the only thing Xichun says that clashes with Hong Lu's version of events. In fact, I'd argue it outright proves that he lied about it - she shares that the Jias are actively looking for him. If Hong Lu was really sent out to gather as many experiences and knowledge as possible, why would they want to cut that short by finding him and bringing him back by force?
That's not all in fact. This exact same story is what Hong Lu tells in his Wing IDs, the ones where it's confirmed he directly got the positions because of nepotism. But, again, that's strange. If he's meant to be experiencing the world and learning new things, why would the Jias put him in jobs that require he stays in a single specific place most of the time? K Corp Hong Lu's Uptie story outright draws attention to this, pointing out how odd it is for someone whose job involves being put in stasis in some vat for extended periods of time until they need to do some killing to have been given that job to "experience more of the world".
So, if Hong Lu is lying about why he left his home... what actually happened? Do we have any hints?
Turns out... yes. A very, very major hint in fact. Because you see, this is the Corrosion line Hong Lu says in his newly released Lasso E.G.O.
This is the only time anything Rose Hunter related calls the subject avoiding their fate a fugitive and makes a direct reference to running away. I don't think it's a coincidence.
Because if this line is a direct reference to Hong Lu, to him literally running away from his fate and escaping the Jia household, it would certainly explain some things.
Why would the Jias be out actively looking for him? Because he's not actually supposed to be out like this.
Why would his Wing Identities be put in environments where Hong Lu is primarily confined to specific locations? Because the Jias don't want him out of their sight.
Why would his claim that he's looking forward to going back home be so contradictory to how he acts and tries to prolong his time outside of the household? Because he's lying, either to himself or others, and doesn't actually want to go back.
Hell, it would even provide some context to certain other oddities about him.
Why would he know not just how effective a rich household's security system is at killing people, but also how to safely get past it (based on what he says about Wuthering Heights in Canto 6)? Because he might have had to do so himself to escape.
Why would his ID picture, likely taken right after he was found by Limbus Company, have him in a very plain tracksuit, completely unlike the traditional and fancy clothing the rest of his Family is seen wearing? Because dressing plainly would help him blend in once he got out of there.
So, yes, the Jia Family is sending out its young members to search for something supernatural within the City. However, I believe Hong Lu is an exception and wasn't supposed to be out at all.

Oh oh, what a platonic request where steve rogers meets his orphaned shy five years old grand grands Grand- niece, reader
Can you say Hello?
Summary - Steve finally meets his grand niece you, but he didn't know you would be so little.
Warnings - Nothing, just fluff really and a little angst
Paring- Steve Rogers x child niece reader
Steve didn't have any more family. Well, not that he knew of, after he came out of the ice and as he continued living in the present day, he learned that all his family had passed on, and even most of the people he knew except Bucky.
So you can say he was pretty surprised when he got a call from an unknown number on his phone. Steve was contemplating picking up the unrecognized number, but what was the worst that could happen? That the person on the other line tries to get his credit card number? Yea, right.
Although he was pretty contempt with learning to live like that, he would still lay down in his bed at night and wonder what would have happened if he didn't take the serum and got to live his life so Steve could pass on with the rest of his family and friends.
Steve glanced at his screen one more time before hitting the green answer button. Holding the phone up to his ear, "Hello?" Steve waited patiently for someone on the other end to answer until a voice finally came up, "Hello? Is this Steve Rogers?".
Steve furrowed his eyebrows curiously, holding his phone tighter, becoming more engrossed in the conversation.
"Uh, yes, it is. Who is this?
He heard the voice on the other end give a relieved sigh.
"Thank God. I've been trying to get a hold of you forever. My name is Jessica Marfield. I am the owner of Mar's Orphanage"
That's weird. Steve wasn't looking to adopt any kids.
"Ma'am I think you're confused, I haven't called looking to adopt any kids."
Hearing a slight chuckle on the other side of the phone, he was also confused. Now he was just waiting for another response.
"No sir, we actually contacted you because we have a little girl who's about five that recently came in that seems to be your niece, and you’re the only known relative that's she has that's alive."
Steve paused, not for a second a long time. He couldn't believe it, but at the same time, Steve felt excitement and joy at the thought of a little girl that's related to him. Maybe he wasn't alone after all.
"Can I meet her? Well, I-I mean, could I schedule some time when I can meet her?"
"Oh yes, of course, Mr. Rogers, whatever time works for you. And of course, if you meet her and you would like to get guardian ship, we could go through that process also."
At this point, Steve was ecstatic. He quickly got up from his bed with a huge grin on his face. Holding the phone up to his ear again, he began to speak.
"Yes, um, how about tomorrow at 1:00?"
"Of course, Mr. Rogers, I'll put it right in my notes! She's a little shy, but I'm sure she will quickly warm up to you."
Steve quickly gave a quick 'thank you' and hung up the phone. He laid on his bed with the biggest grin on his face. After setting his alarm and finally getting ahold of his excitement, he was finally able to go to sleep.
---------------------Next day------------------------
When Steve woke up, he was probably the happiest he'd been in weeks, so when Steve went downstairs to get breakfast at the compound, everyone looked at him a little funny, considering he was unusually bubbly at this time in the morning.
Natasha eyed the blonde haired man suspiciously until she started speaking.
"Whats got you so happy, captain?"
Steve looked at her and tried not to smile, but the more he tried to suppress his grin, the wider his smile got.
"Well, I'm going to an orphanage and meeting my niece. And she's about five, so I guess I'm pretty excited. It's been a while since I had any family around, ya know?"
Natasha gave Steve a sympathetic smile and gave him a pat on the shoulder when she walked past him.
"Well, I'm happy for you, Steve. I think you'll both love each other"
Steve leaned against the counter, "I already do".
-----------------At the orphanage------------------
When Steve pulled into the Driveway and found a parked spot, he grabbed the white teddy bear from the backseat and took a deep breath. He looked up at the orphanage, and he was ready. But also very nervous.
Walking through the front doors confidentiality, he went up to the front desk and said he had an appointment to see you. The lady tapped on her keyboard and looked back up at him.
"Yea, you have a time scheduled to meet (y/n) at 1:00 correct?"
Steve didn't know her name, but he was pretty sure that was it, but even then, Steve knew she would have a beautiful name. The lady led Steve to a room filled with tons of little kids. Some of them were coloring, painting, playing dress up, and playing with a variation of different toys. It all just made him a little more excited at the wholesome sight.
"Wait, right here, Mr. Rogers, I'll have to get her quiet little self out of that corner she's always in."
Steves eyes followed the lady to the little girl who did look around five. He noticed she was coloring while sitting down in a princess chair, fidgeting with her fingers nervously as she glanced at me and back at the woman.
The little girl got up slowly and walked in front of the lady while she held her small shoulders softly. Once she made her way over to the door frame, where I was at, we all walked in the hallway. She stood silently, glancing at me once in a while.
"Can you say you say hello?"
She turned to the lady behind her once again and spoke.
"Is he my Daddy..."
I chuckled a little before the woman spoke up with a slight smile on her face.
"No, he isn't your daddy. I'm sorry, sweetheart, but he is your uncle. I'm sure you'll love him."
Steve gave a small frown at the sight, adverting her eyes down while she gave a soft 'oh' and played with her small fingers nervously. Steve knelt down to her level. He held out the white bear towards her while she stared at it.
"I got this for you. Do you like stuffies?"
He saw her give a small smile while nodding her head, looking up at him for reassurance that she was allowed to take the teddy bear.
"Go ahead, you can take it, angel, what's your name hun?
She took the white bear while giving a small thank you.
"y/n.." she said softly.
"That's a beautiful name, y/n, I'm Steve it's really nice to finally meet you"
The small girl giggled and hid her slightly red face with her hands. Steve couldn't help but pull her into a hug. He still couldn't believe how he actually still had family. Especially a little cutie like you.
Wrapping her little arms around, Steves neck and hugging as tight as she possibly could. Steve picked her up, rubbing circles on her back until he felt sniffles against his shoulder.
"Aw sweetie, why are you crying, baby?"
She looked up at him with puffy eyes and just gave him lots of "Tank you's." Steve cooed and wiped her puffy eyes. Until she spoke again.
"Cause you wan me"
Steve was positive his heart broke when she said that, moving her long hair out of her face, giving her a peck to her forehead.
"Aw, I love you so much, sweetie."
"Tank you, Stevie.."
The woman in front of me teared up but started to speak.
"Y/n, would you like to live with Stevie?" She quickly nodded her head but shortly rubbed her eyes tiredly while yawning.
The woman chuckled and walked over to me, "it's almost her nap time anyway, I'll go get the paperwork, and you guys stay here. Trust me, she'll out in a couple of minutes."
Steve laughed and gave a quick ok and felt the pressure of the small girls head on his shoulder, her face tucked into the crook of his neck. Well, I guess she would be out in a couple of minutes.
---------------------time skip-----------------------
Once Steve filled out the paperwork and got her stuff, some people came over to check if his living area and house were acceptable, he slowly picked the girl up and carried her to his bedroom where she would sleep until he could get her a bed.
When Steve laid her down softly and tucked the covers under her chin, laying the white teddy bear beside her, he bent down and gave her a quick peck on her forehead.
And at that moment, Steve knew everything at that point on would be ok.
A/n: This request was kinda cute, so I decided to finally finish something that was in my drafts.

How do you think Tom would have been raised by Riddle?
And do you think Harry's personality would be very different if he had been raised by his parents? or by Sirius?
Hello,
I'll start with the second question and then go for the first. My answers for each are gonna be more of a general overview of how I see their difference and not anything too detailed since this post is long enough as it is.
The short answer is yes and no, Harry (and Tom, for that matter) were very affected by the way they grew up and it influenced the way they behaved, their choices, and their personalities in various ways, but certain aspects of their character would likely remain. I think, in Harry's case whether he was raised by James and Lily or Sirius after James and Lily died would be somewhat different but a lot of his nature still holds.
If James & Lily lived
A Harry who grew up with James and Lily as parents would likely have Sirius around, basically 24/7 as well. Like, I don't see James getting married really separating the duo of James & Sirius. Lily was also clearly close enough to Sirius that they had their own friendship by the time the Potters were in hiding.
I think this Harry would be just as compassionate, and likely still mature for his age. I think, had James and Lily lived, they would've probably had more kids, making Harry the eldest child. Eldest children tend to be the most mature, responsible children and the most helpful to the parents (not always, but on average).
That being said, Harry would be more confident in everything. He'd probably be more arrogant than his canon counterpart. This Harry would still be between Slytherin and Gryffindor in his sorting (closer to Slytherin than canon Harry, actually). This Harry, with his alive war hero parents, and being the eldest child would likely strive to live up to James and Lily and the various achievements in magic/government they had post-war. So, actually, a Harry raised by James and Lily has just as much if not more of a chance of ending up in Slytherin since he'd be more prideful and ambitious and just as clever as canon Harry. (Though, he'd likely still ask the hat to be in Gryffindor, for reasons similar to those in canon).
This Harry would have likely grown up with Neville and perhaps Ron and Luna from childhood, so he'd have arrived at Hogwarts knowing much more about magic and the wizarding world and surrounded by friends.
(How James and Lily survive also kinda matters for this entire what-if scenario. As in, did they kill Voldemort somehow? Did Voldemort just decide not to kill them so as to not waste powerful wizards and then Harry is still the Boy Who Lived who defeated the Dark Lord? somehow? Because that'll make James & Lily and the reaction of magical society different to Harry and would affect how he grew up somewhat)
If Sirius didn't go to Azkaban
If we assumed Sirius, somehow, didn't go to Azkaban. Say he got a trial and was acquitted, bribed his way out, succeded in killing Peter and proving his innocence, or something like this that'll allow him to be Harry's guardian and not on the run from the ministry, how would he have raised Harry?
I first want to say I'm not a Wolfstar shipper, so I don't really see it going in that direction, especially not early on. No shade to Wolfstar shippers, ship what you ship, just not my taste. I actually don't see Remus being overly involved early on. I mean, his and Sirius' friendship is very fractured by this point, both thinking the other was a traitor and they lost the glue that held them together — James. They'd probably mend their friendship later on, but, it'll need to be Sirius who pushes for it because Remus who's left to his own devices would stay away.
So I think Sirius would go to Andromeda for help with baby Harry since she relatively recently had her own daughter. So, this Harry would grow around with Aunt Dromeda and Uncle Ted and Nymphadora as an older sister/cousin character.
This Harry would still be as compassionate and mature for his age as Harrry usually is. His compassion is such a big part of him, that I don't think it could be completely curved off regardless of how he's raised. Harry would be helping Sirius with his grief as much as Sirius is raising Harry. Sirius after James dies would probably wish he'd followed him and then regret the thought immediately because he has to be there for Harry. Harry just being there would probably help Sirius a lot.
But this Harry is probably the most impulsive and least mature of the three Harrys discussed in this post as he'd take after Sirius as his rule model in basically everything. And you can bet the stories of the epic misadventures of the Mauraders (according to Sirius) would be his bedtime stories for years before going to Hogwarts.
And Harry would still be the Boy Who Lived, except now he'd know it earlier and have to deal with a wizarding world that knows. He'd still be more aware of the wizarding world and maybe already friends with Ron and Neville or perhaps other kids by the time he arrives at Hogwarts. If Harry is raised by Sirius post-war, there is also a none zero chance Narcissa would reach out to Sirius and Harry would meet Draco before Hogwarts. I think, they'd still be kinda annoyed with each other as kids, but the dynamic would be different.
This Harry would be more confident, but not as arrogant as if he was raised by James and Lily, I think. I think this Harry would have a whole different set of insecurities, but they would exist. And I see this Harry as the most Gryffindor of them. He'd still have his sass (maybe even more so) and cunning, but he'd be more brash and impulsive than Harry raised by the Dursleys or his parents would be.
If Tom Riddle was raised by his father
This Tom would likely hate wizards more than regular Tom does. After all, he'd grown on his father's stories of being bewitched and of his mother being an evil witch. Then, he'd probably spend his childhood trying to conceal his magic to the best of his ability only for a huge rift to grow between him and his father once the Hogwarts letter arrived.
I also don't expect Tom Sr to be a loving father for a kid he didn't want from a woman who raped him. Especially if said child had magic. If he still married the other woman he was with (Cecilia), I doubt she'd like Tom either. So Tom still has a pretty unloving and neglectful childhood but at least he gets regular meals.
This Tom would likely still get sorted into Slytherin and still be just as hateful towards wizards and muggles and himself. He's still curious about every facet of magic he could find and would want to perfect it.
The main difference is that I don't think this Tom would be overly focused on immortality. He'd be safe from the Blitz, he wouldn't see as much death, and would barely experience the war compared to at Wool's.
This Tom might be willing to settle for a job as an unspeakable at the ministry and not become a Dark Lord. But he also might hate muggles and wizards more than regular Tom and he'd still be after magical experimentation like the mad scientist he is. So, Tom being raised by the Riddles would likely not save the Wizarding World from him becoming a Dark Lord. Hell, he might become immortal just to prove that he can instead of some fixation on immortality like in canon.
This Tom would probably be just as desperate for a real human connection since there's a good chance he wouldn't get it from the Riddles.
Basically, Tom doesn't change much and has a miserable childhood that leads to him becoming an only slightly more functional adult than normal.

Why Lie? - Lyra x Gray
Grayson finds out Lyra's true identity and goes to confront her, unresolved feelings getting in the way
Pairing: Lyra Kane x Grayson Hawthorne Word Count: 684 Book: The Grandest Game Author's Note: first time writing angst, too many emotions coursing through me rn for a ship that isn't even cannon. this isn't very good btw but y'all gonna have to work w it Taglist: @graysonhawthorneswife, @reminiscentreader, @lyrakanefanatic, @nqds, // tagging more people down in the comments cause Tumblr's annoying ↴
It was her.
The girl on the phone was Lyra Kane.
Grayson tried to wrap his head around the fact that the same girl who had called him an asshole around a year ago was the same girl who had sat across from him the last two weeks for meals. He silently stared at his phone still processing the revelation Zabrowski had just told him when a knock sounded at the door. Short brown hair appeared from the set of dark wooden doors. “Grayson! I was walking through that scary hallway y’know the one without the lights i’ve asked you to fix? Well I was walking through there and like I passed Lyra” “Lyra?” Grayson’s head looked up, his attention piqued, Gigi just walked over to the king bed in the middle of the room and plopped down continuing her story, “Yeah her, anywho all of a sudden a bird started squawking against the window…” Grayson’s attention was differing now, his thoughts racing. “You said you saw her in the dark hallway? The one in the west end?” Gigi stopped rambling, popping her head up raising an eyebrow “yes…” she said slowly, looking at Grayson as he got his suit jacket and opened the door walking into the dark hallway “So random” He heard his half-sister say as he closed the door behind him and made his way down the stairs striding towards the other side of the mansion.
The dimly lit hallway was everyone’s least favorite place in the whole island, the AC didn’t work and the dark panned windows made the corridor unwelcoming. There in front of a window stood Lyra wearing a black and red short sleeved sweater vest matched with a black mini skirt. Grayson made his way to the window standing directly in back of Lyra, the hall stuffed with heat yet goosebumps ran up Lyra’s arm. “Your little agent finally found out?” She looked over her shoulder and looked Grayson dead in the eye, the answer coursing between the two of them. “Why did you lie to me?” Grayson's voice came out as a soft whisper, his gaze never leaving hers. “Everything I do I wish for it to be done on my own devices. If you knew I was the same girl who had called you, you probably wouldn’t have let me in the games. Tell me I’m wrong.” She fully spun around then facing Grayson, their noses barely touching. “You know well I would’ve helped Lyra,” “Maybe, but I didn’t know that then and I’m still not sure of it now” Her lips pulled to a small frown before continuing. “I don’t need your help anyway, in fact you would’ve probably slowed me down.” Grayson knew what she was doing; he'd done it to several people close to him before.
She was trying to push him away.
He wasn’t going to let that happen. Even after everything she was too valuable for him to let go.
“That doesn’t mean I can’t try and help,” Grayson said slowly, trying to decipher Lyra’s expression. What was she feeling? Anger, confusion, fear? Grayson slowly shifted on his feet placing his hands on Lyra’s hips bringing her closer. “Grayson, no.” She said taking in an unsettled breath “This can’t happen, not here especially of all places it’s bad enough I see you all the time, that our conversations run through my mind before I fall asleep. I- I can’t let this happen not when I’m so close.” “So you’re close? That’s nice to hear.” She looked at him, truly looked at him raising her hands to cup his hace their foreheads touching. “Everything’s too complicated right now, when I need your help I'll ask you, I swear but right now is not a good time.” She promised stepping away taking in a long breath waiting for his reply, Grayson realized. Grayson could only manage a small nod not meeting her eyes. Lyra released her breath backing away until she was further down the hall “Goodnight, Mr. Hawthorne” A sad smile played on her lips as she turned away and left Grayson alone in the dark hallway.

Do you have any comforting ships?
Switches: Muichiro Tokito and Genya Shinazugawa
'WHY DO YOU ALWAYS WIN?!', Genya exclaimed angrily after losing (again) another tickle fight against Muichiro.
'I don't know, maybe because you're too much... Mmmm what's the word... Sensitive maybe? Nonono, it's another... Aaah I know! TICKLISH!!', Muichiro smiled cockily and left, leaving Genya with a clear thought, he would make him pay for those humiliations.
His anger at losing was obvious, Gyomei was the first to notice and sat next to him, putting Genya's head on his lap. 'Would you like to talk about that?'
'I'M SICK OF LOSING AGAINST MUICHIRO!!'
'Let me guess, your tickle fights again?', Genya grunted, so yeah, that was it. 'I've tried EVERYTHING! Surprise attacks, tickle hugs, dirty play... And he always beats me!!' Oh Genya, you are just like Sanemi, you hate losing and you throw a masterful tantrum to get advice and win.
'Why you better just accept the fact that no matter what you do, Mui will always manage to beat you?', well, maybe that wasn't the answer Genya was expecting to hear...
Genya began to kick, pouting like a baby, something that Gyomei found funny and pleasant.
Gyomei never really called it out for being mean to Genya, it's just that he knows Muichiro well enough to know that it's PRETTY hard to get a reaction out of him that doesn't involve his smug smile.
'Perhaps, you should talk to Rengoku, Kocho or Tomioka. Only the three of them have been able to make Muichiro laugh like that. I wish you luck on your "mission", Genya,' he said to ruffle his hair and leave.
Genya thought for a few seconds, so Rengoku, Kocho and Tomioka had been the only ones capable of making Muichiro laugh, huh?
But who was most likely to get a quick response? Definitely not with Shinobu, he would be too embarrassed by any comment from her. Maybe Tomioka? But, he doesn't usually talk much, so it's better not to... Oh well, with Rengoku it will be
'I see! So you want to get revenge on young Tokito!'
'Yes, he always beats me and I'm a little tired of him rubbing it in my face or making fun of him by moving his fingers near me to scare me and make me blush... Can you help me?'
'Of course not! Revenge is not good young Shinazugawa! But... Since young Tokito is a bit undisciplined sometimes, I'll help you!', well, that was faster than he thought.
He listened carefully to the instructions, but he would have preferred if he had not been the "test dummy" to have an idea of what to do with Muichiro, perhaps he could have concentrated a little better.
After that, he decided to talk to Giyuu, but he was hesitant to talk to Shinobu, he was embarrassed to be around girls, and as you know, life is not always what you plan...
'Giyuu-Sama... Can you help me?'
'Ara, ara Genya-Kun! I didn't expect to see you here!' 'Hi Shinobu-San... Wait...'
Genya's face turned red, Kocho wasn't supposed to be there! What was he doing at Giyuu's estate?!
His answer was found when he easily opened the door, apparently it was not closed... 'Why do you need help from Tomioka-San? Maybe I can help you too!'
'Eeeeh... I... Well...' 'Shinobu? How many times have I told you that I will not go with you on the mission and I ca...? Genya? What do you need?', well it was inevitable, he would have to talk to both of them.
Okay, Genya had what it took, advice, strength, but not the voice to sing to Muichiro, he wasn't going to do it... He couldn't...
'How did I end up doing this...?'
'Shut up and keep singing! I was nowhere near falling asleep!'
'I'm not going to continue singing the lullaby! It is humiliating!'
Hahahaha it seems that Genya couldn't help it and Muichiro was happy with it, maybe too much...
And no, Muichiro wasn't making fun of how Genya sang, but it did make him laugh at how his whole face turned red every time he tried to caress his cheek or told him how beautiful he sings.
'This has to be the last straw, first he makes me sing and now I have to be his pillow...', Genya slapped himself, it was perfect!
He laughed lightly as he made sure he was in a comfortable position, it was his chance for revenge. And as a first discouragement, Muichiro was a heavy sleeper. 'I should have known... Does life hate me so I can't get revenge on it? Wait... Who knew that my experience of being the little brother would be helping me now...'
Muichiro opened one of his eyes a little, what did he mean by "experience of being the little brother"?
He thought and when he analyzed his options he realized what he meant, he opened his eyes suddenly only to close them tightly when he placed a raspberry on his neck.
Genya screamed with excitement internally, the plan was working! Maybe too well... (unfortunately for Muichiro)
'Mmmm? What's that? Is the great Mist Hashira unable to tolerate raspberries? It's funny, I can't use breaths and yet I'm making you laugh using the ones I know! Hahaha! Bad joke, but I couldn't think of another one!' 'Stohohohop!! Ahahaha!Gehenyahahaha!!!'
'Oooh I'm not stopping! You've poked the bear many times and it's time for you to know the consequences for it!', Genya laughed to start scratching Muichiro's sides.
He didn't expect it, how did he let his guard down so quickly?! He was supposed to be the only one of the two who wouldn't laugh, but one thing was clear, HE WAS NOT GOING TO LOSE AGAINST GENYA.
At the cost of Genya having better access to his tummy, he brought his hands to Genya's armpits, digging with some force as he laughed at how his grip on him was losing strength.
'Do yohohou wahahant a ahahaha...!!tihicklehehehe fihihight?!' 'Lehet's sehehe who wihihins!!', definitely, none hahaha.
Were there rules? Naaaaah, anything went, and that also included biting or kicking to change positions.
And that was the first thing Muichiro did, trying to kick Genya in the ribs, but it turned out in Genya's favor as he grabbed him by the ankles and started scratching behind his knees and giving his calf a few squeezes, but it wasn't going to stay still before that....
'I think I'm winning hahaha! Please Mui, are you going to stay there on the ground writhing~?' 'SHUHUHUT UHUHUP! TAHAKEHEHE THIHIHIS!!'
'OHOHOHHI!! SHIHIHIT!! NOHOHOT MY AHARMPIHIHIHITS!!', well, it wasn't so fair now was it?
Genya thought that he should have held Muichiro to the ground with something, that would have prevented him from sitting up and now tickling his armpits.
He tried his best to continue his attack, but failed, bringing his hands to his chest and hugging himself as he fell back. 'You should know that you're always going to lose to me~ you can't do anything... Look at that blush, how cute you are Genya~! Do you know what fruit would be the same color as you right now~?'
'NOOOOO!! DOHOHOHON'T!!' 'That's not the answer I was expecting, but I'll tell you! They would be... The raspberries~!'
Genya tried to wrinkle his neck when he heard that word, but there didn't seem to be any indication that what Muichiro had said was real, it was just something to make him lower his guard further!
In a quick movement, Genya was now receiving raspberries in his tummy and if that were not enough, Muichiro moved his head to make the sensations more unbearable for the poor boy. 'Hahahaha come on Genya! Accept defeat, I know what you want to do...~'
'NEHEHEVEHEHER!! THIHIHIS TIHIMEHEHE I WILL BEHEHAHAHAT YOHOHOU!! COME HEHEHEHERE MUI!!' 'Oooooh how scary! Are you going to cr-...~? Ooooow!', as Rengoku said, Muichiro was being somewhat undisciplined these days
After a few seconds getting enough air, Genya took Muichiro by his wrists, turning him over and leaving him face down while sitting lightly on his hips.
Shinobu's advice was "Muichiro isn't good at predicting, turn him around so he can't see you and you'll have won!", and Genya hoped it was real.
'Waitwaitwait!! Co-cohomehe on... Genya, I lohovehehe you...!' 'Mmmm, it seems like someone can't tolerate tickling in this position...~ I'm sorry Mui, but I want to win this! Tickle tickle tickle~!!', Muichiro's charms were of no use this time.
He wasn't able to know what the next point to attack would be, so even the air seemed to tickle him and for Genya, it was the most fucking adorable thing he ever saw Muichiro do.
But now, Genya wanted two things, for Muichiro to apologize and for him to accept that he won, and the second may be a mystery or perhaps you have already anticipated it.
'OKAAAAAY!! I GIHIHIVE!! YOHOHOU WIHIHIN!! UNCLE! UHUNCLEHEHE!!'
'Mmmm and why should I believe you...~?' 'GENYAAA!! I LOHOVEHEHE YOHOHOU!! PLEHAHASEHE!!', well proves enough for Genya.
After rolling him onto his back, he sat up and sat him on his lap, stroking his cheek as he watched him catch his breath and giving him a smug smile when he saw it and 'growled' at him a little.' You're a threat, Shinazugawa Genya...'
'I know and you love me like that hahaha. Do you feel better?' 'Yes because? Ooooh, do you want your gentle afternoon tickles on your tummy and neck?'
Genya blushed and looked away, but nodded. Muichiro laughed and kissed him on the cheek, it was so cute to see him blush and hide his smile.

Why Is This Song In My Poolverine Playlist, A Series.
(I am extremley insane and make playlists for every ship/character/show I like, and yes there is a reason each on is in there. I think of lil scenarios, situations or straight up story ideas because of a song- so enjoy this series where I write them all down!)
Today's song, Car Lights by James Marriot.
So, firstly, this is a Wade and Logan song. The lyrics and the vibe and everything just fit in my head perfectly. (All of the lyrics in Red are Wade, all in Orange are Logan)
Now, the first verse seems to me like Wade's thoughts as he sits at the table, surrounded by the people he saved, staring into the pizza on his plate zoned out.
Wade questions why he's still here. He was ready to die, to finally be the hero, and get his happy ending. He was going to finally matter. He was going to finally make a difference- but here he was. Logan had saved him. Logan had fought hard to do so - for some strange reason- and now his family of 9 (well, 12. Laura, Logan and Dogpool all had a place here now, and he hoped it lasted for a long while.) were sat around his shitty dining table, drinking shitty beer and eating even shittier pizza. It felt weird. He felt out of place.
"Why am I here? Could you come instead? I'm ten good miles out of my depth."
But he should be happy. He should be glad that his family are safe- that he has found more people to add to his photo! Everything should feel perfect! Yet, he still feels as he did before. He still has this gnawing feeling of inadequacy, the feeling that- even after all this- he still hasn't done anything of value. It was only because Logan agreed to come with him that they were safe now. If Logan had said no, or if he hadn't been able to find a Logan who had agreed, they would all be dead. They would all be nothing.
"Some more fake smiles, I'll just nod my head."
And while he wants to just drown in those thoughts for awhile, Logan manages to snap him out of it by taking Mary Puppins from him, telling him to talk to Vanessa. And what's strange is that- even after doing this for her- he doesn't really feel that spark as he looks at her. He feels this strange empty pit in his stomach where previously there had been this wondrous feeling of hope and love. Wade suddenly can't help but feel stupid for even trying to win her back. Vanessa was happy with Dermot. Vanessa had moved on and suddenly- sitting here with everyone- he realizes those feelings of hope and love have shifted. He isn't sure what to, but they have shifted, and it makes his stomach twist. Maybe this was a sign that Wade really wasn't important. That he wasn't destined to do great things and that he would be alone forever. So he shares a quiet word, tries to pretend he is happy and still inlove, and soon enough they are holding hands ontop of the table. But it doesn't feel like it used too. That electricity isn't there and Wade finds that he doesn't want to try and chase it. He doesn't know if he can set himself to just be hurt again- but he also knows he doesn't want it. He doesn't know what he wants now, but maybe it isn't this, and that scares him.
"For one more glimpse of your breath. Stained shirts and cigarettes. I failed again, tried my best."
Soon enough, everyone has said their goodbyes, Logan and Wade left to clean the apartment up while Al goes to bed. It's quiet for a moment, before Logan asks how it went with Vanessa, and Wade freezes at the question. He should feel something about the fact they aren't getting back together- shouldn't he? Should be upset or annoyed or angry or something- but he really isn't. He thinks that Vanessa is better off without him. Everyone he has ever gotten close too ends up hurt anyway, and Vanessa is the massive proof of that. And he must not of answered because suddenly he feels a strong but gentle hand on his shoulder, and Logan is stood infront of him with a concerned expression. It makes Wade feel safe and seen and fucking worse and he quickly plasters a smile on his face, makes a grotesque joke about how he won't ever get to see that pussy again, and throws some music on to drown out the thoughts as he finishes cleaning the apartment.
"Forget my fears, ignore all my frets. Just lay your mind on my chest."
And maybe Logan seems to understand because he doesn't ask any more questions, just tidys with him while some trashy music plays behind them, and Wade is overly grateful for that. As much as he doesn't want to think about why he is feeling the way he does, he knows he should. Wade tries to rationalise it- to tell himself that maybe it's because he's tired or because Vanessa told him they couldn't get back together- but he knows those are both lies. It suddenly hits him that he doesn't feel sad or angry because he doesn't feel like that towards her anymore. It hits him hard, that realisation. Vanessa had been the one thing in Wades life he knew would always be there- and in theory- always be the same. They were meant to be soulmates, to match eachothers crazy, but suddenly they weren't and suddenly Wade was okay with that. And, once again, he must of freaked Logan out- this time there are two strong hands on his shoulders trying to ground him- and it works. It takes a minute, and Logan has to talk to him about how to breath, but it works and Wade feels wet streaks down his face. Logan doesn't even say anything before he is wrapping his hands around Wade and pulling him into his chest, holding him as close as he can. After a good few minutes of awkwardly standing there, Wade wraps his shaky arms around Logan's middle and let's everything hit him. Let's the emotions take over, and before he can register it, he's crying into Logan's chest.
"You seem like that kind of guy to play me tonight."
It should feel comforting- and it does, it really really does- but it also makes Wade feel a strangley familiar sensation in his stomach. That warm fuzzy feelings that's a mixture of anxiety and comfort. A feeling he only used to feel with Vanessa. Wade knows he shouldn't feel like this. Really. This is Logan- and he was Wade- and he has only just realized he doesn't even want Vanessa anymore- but it doesn't feel bad. For some reason, the warm fuzzy feeling makes him feel better. Makes him feel safe. Makes him feel like maybe everything will be okay- because for some reason- someone might care.
"I hate what your doing, I hate that it feels so right."
And that makes him feel even worse somehow, and Wade is quickly pulling away from Logan because he can't deal with this right now. Right now he needs to make a bed for Mary Puppins and set the pull out couch up for them and he needs to throw the rest of the pizza away before it gets all gross and he doesn't have time to think about this. Think about why he feels like this.
And honestly, the rest of the song? It's Logan and Wade.
"I think I'm falling for someone else".
After such a long time pining over Vanessa, Wade suddenly becoming aware that he doesn't have feelings for the one person who he thought understood him and that instead he's gaining feelings for someone who truly understands him, and being completely terrified.
"I'm not scared, there's nothing to run from"
That is Logan reassuring Wade. Telling him that, I love you no matter what. I want you. There is nothing I am scared of- not when I'm stood next to you. Reminding him that there is no danger in letting him be loved. That he doesn't have to run.
"You can hold my hand in a crowded place, but just hold me close, and hope that they don't see my face."
Wade feeling insecure being public with his relationship. He hates how he looks- how people stare and gawk at him- and Logan doesn't need that. Logan doesn't need people to look at him and feel pity.
"I can answer your troubles if you let me in."
Logan begging Wade to let him in. To talk to him. To be open about why he feels the way he does- trying to help him as much as he can.
I hope you enjoyed this long ramble, and if yall want the playlist let me know!!

Extremely Long-Distance – Timothy McGee
Every morning, I wake up and instantly look at the picture of my husband and I on our wedding day. Whenever I look at that picture, the rock in my stomach makes it so I can't get out of bed for at least an hour.
My husband, Special Agent Timothy McGee, and his supervisor, Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, were in Afghanistan working on the suspicious death of a marine. Apparently, his head was shipped to his wife.
Tim isn't supposed to tell me about his cases but he knows my mind will come up with a worse case than he ever could. My cases usually ended in a shoot-out between the suspect and NCIS.
I try to busy myself during the day, but nothing kept my mind off my husband in the middle of a war. The nights were the worst. I haven't slept since Tim went overseas three days ago. To be honest, it took me a month to get used to sleeping next to him. Now that I have, I can't sleep without him.
Abby has called every day to check on me, but her phone calls have only made my anxiety worse. Every time the phone rings, I'm terrified they're calling to tell me something has happened to Tim.
I got back from grocery shopping for the third time this week. I walked aimlessly through the aisles, not really needing anything but not wanting to go home either. When I finally forced myself to go home, I slowly unpacked the random groceries.
I jumped when my phone rang. I couldn't help but hold my breath as I looked at the caller ID.
"Hi, Mom."
"You sound relieved," she said trying to sound happy but you could tell she was sad.
"Guess I am," I shrugged. I put my phone on speaker and kept putting away groceries.
"You went grocery shopping," she sighed. "Again? Honey, isn't that like your third time this week."
"It gets me out of the house," I said simply.
"Tim's still in Afghanistan," Mom said like a statement instead of a question.
"Yes," I said that word getting caught in my throat. "He is."
"Have you called him?"
"He's in Afghanistan, Mom," I sighed. "I can't call him. I don't even know where he is in Afghanistan. I have no idea where the camp is. I have no idea how long he's going to be gone. I don't know."
My voice broke as tears filled my eyes. I took a shaky breath and spoke up before she could try to comfort me. "I got to go, Mom. I'll call you later."
I quickly hung up the phone as the sob escaped. I sat at our kitchen table, put my face in my hands, and sobbed.
I love my husband more than anything in this world, but moments like this made me hate his job.
When I finally calmed down, I stood up and made myself a small dinner. I spent the night, slowly drinking a glass of wine as I watched a random movie. Halfway through the movie, my phone started ringing. I looked at the phone number, extremely confused. Something in my gut told me to answer the call though.
"Hello?"
"Y/N? Can you hear me?"
"Tim!" I gasped. "You're calling. . . I can't believe. . . Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Tim chuckled.
"How's the case?" I asked, just to keep him talking.
"It's over," he said. "We should be shipping out in a few hours."
I let out a shaky breath at this news. My eyes filled with tears as I tried to think of what to say to him.
"That's good," I said, my voice soft. "Will Gibbs let you come home before going back to work?"
"I think so," Tim chuckled. "But you know Gibbs."
"I do," I nodded. "But I also know that he loves you and will let you come home to your wife who hasn't slept since you left."
There was silence on the line. I would've thought he had hung up, but I could hear him breathing. "I'm sorry, sweetheart," he finally said. "I'll be home as soon as I can. I promise."
"I know," I said softly. I took a shaky breath before saying, "I love you."
Tim let out a small chuckle. "I love you too, Y/N. I promise to get home as soon as I can. And maybe we can both get a good night's sleep."
* * * * *
Eighteen hours later, I was sitting on the couch with a glass of wine and a book that was taking me longer than it should to finish. I gasped, almost spilling my wine when the door opened. I threw my book down and ran toward the door. Tim laughed when I jumped into his arms. He instantly caught me and held me tightly.
"I missed you," I sobbed into his shoulder.
"I missed you too, baby."

why do you like beetlebabes so much? /gen I'm a neutral when it comes to the fandom but come across cute fanart all the time. how or why did you start shipping it?
I am mature and can answer this without making it 3 hours...
So my favorite version of them is Movieverse. Cartoon is super cute and shippy but the movie just has that depth to it, ya know?
I thought this scene in the movie was super interesting:
Here we have an obstinate anti-hero showing a moment of weakness. We know BJ is a slimy and scheming bastard but when Lydia says she wants to be dead too, he goes all silent and confused, breaking his eccentric personality only for a few brief moments.
We do not see this at all again in the film.
If anything, he jumps straight to conclusions to try and help her: "Well hey, ya probably got your reasons. Thing is, I can't do anything from over here. If you could get me out, mayybbe we could talk or something..."
His whole demeanor changes once he meets Lydia.
He goes from "We had a deal, I'll get the people out of your house" to "She understands me, but you guys never will."
And it's true, she tries to uphold her end of the deal by marrying BJ at the end. She doesn't fight or retaliate and accepts it as a choice she made. He doesn't play by the rules but he will do everything asked. Lydia knows this. She was the only one who saw right through him. If he really did marry her right there, he could take her to the Neitherworld without her having to end her life. It was a marriage to benefit both of them - he gets out, and she can get in. Would it have been weird? Yes. Would I still have liked to see it play out? Yes.
I personally hope they end up getting married in this sequel because I think Lydia is the only person who really understands Beetlejuice. And vice versa - Beej is the only one who understands Lydia. Knowing he'll be an ally and earn his redemption in this sequel, he should get a happy ending.

Sick
13th Doctor & Reader (Platonic)
The Fam + Dan & Reader (Platonic)
The Doctor knows someone in Team TARDIS is sick, and she'll figure it out. She always does.
Sort of a sequel to Escape and yes, I'm pretty sure I have a cold. The ending is abrupt but with Escape, it was an abrupt ending as well.
TW: contagious illness talk
-
The Doctor knew someone was sick, she usually could tell. She is a Doctor after all, well not really a doctor but she could be one if she needed to and right now she really needed to be one. The TARDIS had alerted her that one of the humans on the ship was sick and she couldn't really figure out who, so she implemented a down week, where she could keep an eye on everyone.
Right now, Yaz and Ryan were doing their own things in their rooms while Dan and Graham were busy watching shows in the TARDIS theater room. You were curled up in your room, probably sleeping or reading in bed. The TARDIS always tracked where everyone was, including The Doctor.
The Doctor knocked on Yaz’s door, a subconscious tap of four, and she grimaced a small bit but smiled when Yaz tossed the door open. “Is the sick week almost over?”
“No, one of you guys are still sick and I was hoping it’d be over by now but it’s still sticking. I was just coming to check on you, see if you started having any symptoms.” The Doctor quickly explained, her hands moving quicker than her words were. She had pressed her hands against Yaz’s forehead and then stilled.
A loud sneeze echoed down the corridor and then a croaky voice echoed “Sorry.”
Yaz laughed softly. “Think we found your patient, Doc.”
The Doctor laughed as well, turning to look down the hallway. "You get settled back into whatever you were doing, Yaz. I'll take care of them."
Yaz laughed again, a whole new burst of noise. "Yeah, yeah, cause your The Doctor."
The Doctor never expected to see you around the corner, she had abandoned Yaz at her door so she could hunt down her patient. You had been bundled up in a blanket, one Graham had gotten you when The TARDIS had accidentally lost your blanket. The Doctor looked you over, barely giving you time to register who was touching you. Her hands were pressing on your forehead, and then checking your lymph nodes.
You smiled and just stared at her, leaning into her colder hands. "Hi Doc."
The Doctor smiled softly and looked at you fully. "How are you feeling?"
"Cold, and warm and hot, all at the same time." You mumbled and she nodded.
"Yeah, you have a cold. Lets get you back to your room. Don't want you spreading this around the TARDIS." The Doctor said, pulling her hands away and you whined softly.
The Doctor wrapped an arm around your waist, to help direct you to your room. "I was heading to the kitchen, I wanted to get food."
The Doctor nodded, and turned the two of you back around. "I'll bring you some soup, okay?"
You nodded and leaned on her. "Can you have anyone else make the soup? Your a bad cook."
She laughed softly and nodded. The Doctor turned to open your door after a while and led you inside. You had a tight grip on her as she led you to your bed, and got you sat down on it. Her hands immediately grabbing the top comforter to wrap it around you. "How's the body aches?"
"Horrendous. My spine literally feels like its been operated on. My shoulders hurt too." You complained and lied down as The Doctor pushed on your shoulders just a tiny bit to have you lie down.
"Can I can scan you? Make sure you don't have anything else going on aside from the cold." The Doctor asked, hands already moving to pull out her sonic from her jacket.
You nodded against the pillows, eyes closing as you listened to her start to scan you with the sonic.
"Hmm, looks like your running a low grade fever, somewhat dehydrated. Do you have a headache? Never mind. You can answer that later." The Doctor rambled for a minute and then leaned over you and tucked you in.
"Stay here. The TARDIS will absolutely alert me if you even think of getting up." The Doctor ordered and you opened your eyes to stare up at her.
"Of course, Doc. I'll always listen to you." You mumbled out and smiled at the grin that appeared on her face.
The Doctor pressed a kiss to her hand and then pressed her hand onto your forehead. "I'll be right back, okay kiddo?"
~
The Doctor was surprised to see Graham and Dan arguing over what soup was the best for a sick person and watched them from the door way for a minute. "You two are acting like two dad's right now."
Graham looked over, shaking his head softly. "Grace usually made Ryan soup when he didn't feel good, so I wanted to make the same one for the kid and well-"
"I'm forty-two! I'm not nearly old enough to be a dad!" Dan complained and The Doctor grinned.
"Old enough to be their dad. Graham, why don't you make Grace's soup recipe and Dan, you can help me find a tray." The Doctor delegated quickly, kneeling down to dig through a cabinet to find said tray.
"Why are we looking for a tray?" Dan asked, immediately kneeling next to her to help her.
"I don't want them to eat alone, so I'll go and eat with them." The Doctor said.
"We could all sit and eat together? Might help them feel a bit better, not being cooped up in a room with just you." Graham pointed out, starting on grabbing supplies for the soup.
"You all could get sick and its an Earth common cold. I don't want to have an entire ship of patients." The Doctor said, looking over at Graham.
Dan was still digging through the cupboard when Yaz entered the room. She leaned on the door frame as she watched the older people move around the kitchen. "Soup for dinner?"
Graham turned to look over at her. "Yeah, Grace used to make this for Ryan."

possibly the most obvious ship i could send for the ask meme but anidala/vaderdala!
ohohoh of course, them!!!!
when I started shipping it if I did:
Probably since I started watching TCW and saw some fanarts! Which I know it's a bit odd because most people apparently dislike them in TCW (and yeah, when I finally watched the movies I get why!), but that very first iteration of them in i think, the second episode of TCW with them kissing in an enemy ship, with Obi-Wan a few metres away, and all because she randomly ran into danger, was very, very fun to me, so I shipped them in a "they're dorks" way.
Then a saw all the epic tragedy romance stuff and, yeah, i'm sold.
my thoughts:
I think I have said it before, but there's something very "bigger than life" about their romance, which is what kept me hooked beyond "is just funny". They're extremelly passionate people, with the height of the world on their shoulders, and with sides of them that no one but the other knew about each other. Particularly with Padmé becuase she's very cold and compossed most of the time (it's her politician facade!). Anakin overall is just very painfully obvious and easy to read, but he still kept many things from the world, and Padmé knew most of that iceberg, so to speak, and they still loved each other madly despite the ugly side.
What makes me happy about them:
They're just,,,very romantic and silly! When they're actually together and in a situation where they're allowed to relax, they're just very dumb and in love 😆 I think what it makes me so happy about them is that you could tell how happy they were with each other, despite being so miserable most of the time, they just loved each other so much and that's nice.
What makes me sad about them:
This doesn't need answer, lmao 😭😂 But yeah, the,,,tragedy and damnation, Anakin turning on her despite doing all of that for her on the first place hurts so much
things done in fanfic that annoys me:
I'll be honest, I haven't read that many fics that focus anidala? At least no yet, it's been less than a year since a got into this. But I guess it could be that,,,many times they're tagged and then in the fic it's barely mentioned, like sometimes it will be just Anakin randomly thinkin "ah yes, padmé" lol
Another thing could be that,,,ehhh Padmé rendered to just girlboss/dominatrix/ the one that just gives Anakin a glare to keep him on check as if he's a manchild. And the diametrically opposite of this which is just sad, crying, poor wife in a domestic abusive situation and Anakin being the epitiome of Evil Bad Boy Sexy Cool Kidnapper
things I look for in fanfic:
Honestly i just want them being fairly in-character, I feel like they're very easily misinterpreted. But again, everyone has a different opinon on them, I guess, so -shrugs- Probably more situations in which Anakin is the one kidnapped/wounded/in danger and Padmé has to do something about it, so hurt/comfort!
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
Ah....-scratches head- They're so obssesed with each other that it's hard for me to think about that. Like, sometimes I fancy for the giggles and jokes some other ships for them in like a passing crush way, like Anakin and Rex, or Padmé and Breha, but, their narratives are so damn tangled into each other's that it's hard to, but that's just me.
My happily ever after for them:
Anakin leaves the order, Padmé steps away from politics and run away to Naboo to raise their twins, like they always wanted 🥺
Alternatively, I like to believe their ghosts are very happilly looking over Luke and Leia,,,,,,,and also haunting and scaring some random privileged senators passing awful bills in Coruscant. They love writing messages on mirrors with red lipstick
who is the big spoon/little spoon:
I think Padmé likes to be the big spoon just to more easily bite and headbutt him. But they switch, i suppose, because I'm sure Anakin sometimes just really really wants to hpld her.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity:
Domestic: Just talking, the most boring and mundane stuff, but they just like talking.
Not so domestic: These two are wild souls, they probably enjoy randomly rushing to help some planet/cause/random battle, whatever. In an ideal scenario, this usually means rushing into the ship to go and bail their children out of jail, organize a heist, or a little slave liberation. While holding hands.

Hiiii Ein! Hope the pain has lessened, huuno! For everyone: "Does your OC love anyone? (romantic)", Kurumi: "Who would your OC say is their best friend?", Kana: "Which canon character respects your OC most? What gained that respect?" And Yui: "Did your OC bear witness to anyone’s full character arc?" Sorry for sending so many djdjd take your time!!
Nimaaaa!!! Thank you!!! I was gone for a bit so I couldn't answer this sooner, but the pain has lessened a good amount during that time 🥰🥰✨ Please don't say sorry for sending asks, I love receiving them, it gives me a topic to yap about for my ocs dskjghdvhs I just get bad at answering them when my health spirals down 😆😆
Here's a sketch inspired from this ask, yipeeee kana triooo
For everyone: "Does your OC love anyone? (romantic)"
Ooohh!! 👀✨ I love this question, very juicy hahaha 🤣💕 This would depend on which point of the story they are, but the trio will eventually love someone to some romantic extent (at least).
For Kurumi, that's a big YES, as she's quite the hopeless romantic! She loves shoujosei series(or just the romance genre in general) and dreams a lot of being in a relationship like the lead couples there. Add to that her cuteness aggression, it's quite inevitable that she gets crushes of varying degrees on quite a good amount of characters 😆🫶✨ (examples are Tsuna, Kyoko, Haru, Chrome & Enma - if you feel like there's a pattern then yes sjdfbhjsdv). Of course, a simple crush is different from really falling deep in love with someone, but it's a good start. Her only problem is that she can't commit and go through with it (like confessing, etc). I don't know if you know already, but if you see my previous ship arts with her, maybe you already know who she does fall in love with lol
😆👉🐟
For Kana, it's a vague/complicated type of love that can be romantic so I guess that's a "yes"??? Anyway, getting it to even develop slightly towards that direction is technically not impossible, the chance is non-zero, but it's gonna take...A LOT of time, patience, persistence, understanding & survival skills (and acceptance that u can't ever fix her lmao). She already has a ridiculous amount of issues caused by her love(/obsession?) on the platonic side of things ngl mxhdkbddmdn
For Yui, that's a HELL YEAH! Among the trio, he's the only one with dating experience but he really can't say he loved the people he dated romantically. It's more of trial and error run for him. Fortunately for him, he does eventually find someone he likes a lot! I don't think I mentioned this before unlike for the other twins, so I'll put it here lol The person he ends up falling for is Hiyori (Oniyanagi 10th Gen Sun Guardian).
Kurumi: "Who would your OC say is their best friend?"
Kurumi's bestest friends in the whole world are definitely Kana and Yui! 🥰💖✨ They've been through a lot and are very much ride-or-die. Yui is Kurumi's very first friend. They initially became friends out of obligation and loneliness, but after some rough events here and there, it became a genuine friendship. He's stuck with her/supported her during difficult times in their childhood and Kurumi will always appreciate him for that.
Then there's Kana to Kurumi. Where do I even begin? That's a whole rabbit hole right there. They're platonic soulmates, a set package. Do not separate OR ELSE. 👁️👄👁️
Kana: "Which canon character respects your OC most? What gained that respect?"
Oh, from the top of my head, that would be Hibari. I'll just make separate post if I can think of another canon character who can dethrone him in this lmao His respect for her is based on the respect that he would have for strong and worthy opponents. Kind of similar to Reborn? But more chase-able/bully-able (since she's a fellow student, their paths would cross more often).
It all started when Kana attacked and tried to kill him this one time to take over the school (they went ham at that time, Reborn just stopped them). This is what happens when you think murder is always the answer to your problems. You get some guy, with a passion of at least 180 hardcore soulslike game players, who wants to keep on retrying that boss fight @ you.
Yui: "Did your OC bear witness to anyone’s full character arc?"
Yui doesn't really like being in the spotlight. He's not even that fond of having the right-hand man role designated to him and the "formal" responsibilities that come with it (this is why Gokudera criticizes him often). But one of the main reasons he still stuck to this role is so that he can get to watch over the twins in his own way.
He did bear witness to a good amount of Kana's character arc, but since we're talking from start to finish of someone's character arc, then that would be for Kurumi's. No matter what happens, whether this bestfriend of his grows into a fine person or falls into ruins, he will be there to witness it all 🙂
#khr#khre#khr oc#oc#einart#oc ask#ask#ninomiya kurumi#ninomiya kanako#yorimitsu yui#me remembering how at that time when she attacked hibari--- kana is actually fresh off suspension (not school suspension but in the family)#and promised to papi and mami that she'll behave this time in namimori#she will never learn lmao#also that last part with yui#don't think about it too much ehe 🙂
