This was based off an ask I received from Kitten, thank you for always giving me the best ideas💕
But imagine you get caught up in a sudden trash storm with Enjin, it's not enough debris to damage the car but it's dangerous enough you can't drive or walk. The two of you are just barely outside the city, stuck in a very confined van with tension that's been mounting since the two of you met. Before Enjin leans over and presses his lips to yours, again and again before he's pulling from the passenger seat to the bench seat in the back. Tongue sliding over yours with a groan as he pins you to the old thread bare upholstery with the hopes of fogging up the windows.
Pairings: Engine / Enjin x f!reader.
Warnings: 18+, friends to lovers, car sex, minimal prep, unprotected sex, creampie, spanking, praise, dirty talk.
Word Count: 4.1k.

“Maybe you should take a break,” You glance over the centre console to see Enjin’s eyes fluttering at the wheel, sat forward in his chair as he fights sleep.
The heavy rock playing through the worn car radio does nothing to ease his drowsiness, nor do the potholes almost as large as craters that scatter along the contaminated zone.
Reaching over you run your fingers through the buzzed hairs of his undercut, trying to coax his attention back to the path in front of you. Enjin jolts slightly on contact before heaving a soft sigh, his knuckles turn white from how hard he grips the steering wheel as he narrowly misses a large trash pile.
“M’fine,” Enjin mumbles, reluctantly pulling himself away from your touch, terrified that the soothing sensation will have him falling asleep at the wheel.
“I know you’re tired,” You push, “Just for a bit, yeah? A power nap.”
You wanted to get home just as badly as him, the unspoken feelings between you two made it difficult to breathe and this mission had been exhausting. Not to mention how dangerous it was to settle in a contaminated zone for too long, especially when it was just the pair of you. Humans could be just as dangerous as the monsters that reside in the area.
“We’re like sitting ducks out here,” Enjin continued, and he would know. For some reason the Giver enjoyed taking strolls in the contaminated zone, even though the air was unbreatheable, “It’s not much further, it’ll be fine.”
A washer dryer falls to the left of you, colliding into the ground with an almighty smash. Pieces of debris fly everywhere as you jolt in the van, holding your hand to your heart at the sudden movement as you curse under your breath.
“You good, sweetheart?” Enjin turns to you with a grin, and it does nothing but make your insides feel like jelly.
You should be used to it by now, the so called junk thrown discarded by the sky people like it’s nothing. Most of it salvageable, cookers with broken buttons that just needed a quick replacement, hairdryers with blown fuses.
Enjin had even gifted you a diamond ring he’d found one evening on one of his regular strolls. The silver band was pristine, and looked as though it had never been worn. A pretty glistening diamond set perfectly inside it, and not a single scratch on it despite the impact from the large drop. You wondered why anyone would ever throw something so perfect away, and then you saw it— A simple black speck that sat in the middle of the carbon. The smallest, most pathetic reason that it had been thrown into the pit in the first place. Because of course, why would anyone up in Heaven want anything less than perfect— But it was perfect to you. The pretty gem sat perfectly on your ring finger, despite the fact that Enjin hadn’t asked you to marry him. And the speck that was supposedly imperfect, reminded you of the friend who had gifted it to you.
You were just friends, after all. A subject of consistent teasing between the other Janitors.
“If you like someone, you should tell them.” Griss would look back from his position in the drivers seat to wink at you, just as Enjin is shouting at him to “Keep your eyes on the road, Bozo!”
“Yeah, it’s not good to keep those feelings bottled up inside.” Tamzy spoke coolly from the backseat.
“Would sure suck if the person you liked didn’t like you back, though.” Riyo chimed.
Exactly, Riyo. You thought to yourself, It would fucking suck.
And aside from a few flirty words from Griss, and one night where he’d seen red when a travelling merchant offered to buy you a drink in the local pub. Immediately appearing at your side to ward him off, the poor man leaving with a black eye and a bruised ego. “You don’t need to solve everything with violence.” Riyo mocked Enjin, who was pink in the cheeks. For the most part it almost felt like an unspoken rule that you were Enjin’s.
And it didn’t matter anyway, because you were content with this— whatever this was. And it wasn’t worth ruining the relationship you had with feelings, you were satisfied. And you could cope with satisfied if it meant keeping Enjin as a friend, certain not to ruin your relationship with the complication of romantic feelings.
Another loud crash had you snapping back to focus, a hail of trash began to pour down on the barren wasteland, things that by themselves would never have proved deadly. But with the acceleration of gravity, items were deadly as they left dents in the strongest of boulders.
“Fucks sake. We’ve gotta take cover,” Enjin’s tattooed hand shifted on the gearstick as he began to reverse the truck, narrowly missing a falling bathtub as it crashed against the ground.
“Shit,” You squealed, holding onto the dash as Enjin expertly manouvered through the trash storm.
“Hold on.” He veered left to avoid another shower of trash as it made the vehicle fall down a sand dune, skidding to the side as you began to panic. Watching more trash tumble down around you like rain.
“Enjin, look out—” You saw the falling car before he did, an old battered Sedan. How did they even manage to get that down here?
“I fuckin’ know, woman. I know—” He spat, yellow eyes catching it just after you as he swerved roughly. Glad you had your seatbelt on as your side banged into the car door, knocking your head against the glass as he took another harsh turn.
Finding refuge beneath an abandoned Eolian cave as the tires screeched to a stop, the roof of the truck dented but nothing Riyo wouldn’t be able to fix with a hammer when you both made it back to the compound.
“Baby, you okay?” Enjin unbuckled his belt to lean over the center console, cupping your face in both palms as he turns you to face him. Tilting your head to check for any injuries as you reached up to place a warm, sweaty palm around his wrist. Leaning into his touch as you finally allowed your heart to lull, “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.”
“It’s okay,” You shook your head, “Wasn’t your fault.”
“We shoulda never been out here this late, it is all my fault.” He shook his head as you both heard the loud crash of trash and debris continue to fall along the wasteland.
“It’s not your fault, Enjin.” You shook your head, squeezing his wrist softly to try and focus his attention back on you, “We’re okay.”
“I’d have never forgiven myself if you got hurt,” He continued, shaking his head. You couldn’t remember the last time you’d seen him this worried, “I never wanna lose you.”
There’s a subtle change in his movement, and if you hadn’t have been so close to him you would’ve missed it. It was the way his eyes flit down to your lips for the faintest of seconds before meeting your gaze again. The movement has your heart rattling against its cages, dragging a metal cup along the bars to be unleashed from its prison as you took a chance. Tilting your head slightly in Enjin’s palms to brush your lips against his in a chaste kiss. They felt chapped against your softer ones, eager to feel them again as you chanced another peck, this time lingering as you stepped over that blurry line of ‘just friends’.
“We shouldn’t.” Enjin grumbles, obviously fighting the voices in his head as he tries to ignore the blood flowing through his veins. The only voice of reason, as always.
You’re in no mood to talk, hungry for another taste of him as you move your hands to his face, fingertips sliding behind the pink tips of his ears as warm palms graze his stubble. The gentle tips of your fingers stroke the base of his neck as Enjin feels all of his resolve start to crumble the moment you bring him in again.
“Enjin,” You whine against his lips as his warm breath fans your face. He smells like cigarettes and cheap cologne, the scent suffocating and intoxicating at the same time as your half-lidded eyes stare back at him.
“Don’t,” Enjin groaned against your mouth, and yet he made no attempt to pull back, “If you do that I won’t be able to stop myself.”
“Who said I’ll want you to stop?” You replied simply, the taste of your chapstick now smeared against his lips as his tongue poked out to taste it. His nostrils flaring as he felt his entire body react to the implication of your words.
“Fuck it,” He grunts, tugging at your thigh as he pulls you over the center console. His grip firm on you as he positions you on his lap, perched on muscular thighs as you settle just before the semi-hard bulge beneath his pants. Slender fingers stroke along your back as he rests his forehead to yours, silently waiting for you to make your move. To push him away and tell him that you’re just friends; that you shouldn’t do this. But you don’t.
It’s carnal, the way you both paw at each other. Desperate to remove every barrier that stands between you both. Enjin’s long arms knock the top of the van as he tugs his shirt up and over his head, impatiently waiting for him to pull it high enough so you can reattach your lips to his. He’s like a drug you’ve become addicted to, desperate for another dose as your mouths clash together in a duel of tongues and teeth.
His fingers tug at the hem of your shirt roughly to remove it, swallowing the pathetic whine you make against his lips as you pull away for him to discard it. Leaning forward with more urgency as you kiss him again, tongue swiping against his top incisors as he palms your breasts through the simple black bra. The nights he’d spent awake fucking his fist to the thought of you would never compare to this, not in any lifetime.
Enjin pulls away from your bruised lips as you follow him forward, trying to reconnect them as he nudges your nose with his gently. Half-lidded eyes watch with amusement as he begins to pepper kisses along your jawline, following the curve down to the column of your throat as he begins to bite and suck at your pulse point. Another pitiful whine vibrates in your throat as you wrap your arms around his neck, caging his head between your forearms as you thread your fingers through his messy hair. Your clothed breasts practically in his face now as he ventures lower, pressing a kiss against your sternum as he nuzzles at your soft mounds gently, reaching behind you to unclasp your bra.
Gravity has your tits bouncing into position as he gently pulls the cups away, revealing your chest to his hungry gaze. It’s his turn to sound desperate now as he groans, low and guttural in his chest as he commits the sight to memory. Certain that if all else fails he’ll have this memory carved into his consciousness for the rest of his existence.
“God, you’re perfect.” He rasps, reaching out tentively to cup your warm tits as he thumbs your nipples, watching them pebble in the cool evening air as you throw your head back in pleasure, “What the fuck are you doin’ with a lowly janitor like me?”
You don’t get a second to answer before Enjin is leaning forward to take one of your nipples into his warm, wet mouth. His tongue swirls around your areola as he pinches and toys with the other, growling against your skin as your nails drag against his scalp in response.
“Fuck, Enjin.” You moan, rolling your hips as you feel the tent in his pants beneath you. His hard cock desperate to be released as your cunt throbs at the thought, eager to feel him after all this time.
“Don’t say my name like that, baby.” He groans, resting his cheek against your breast as he blows cool air against your spit-soaked nipple, “You’ll have me creaming my pants.”
“Enjin,” You ignore his plea as you roll your hips against him again, giving your clit more friction as you focus on the sensation.
“Fuck, you brat.” He grunts, gripping your hips in his palms roughly to stop you repeating the motion again. Positive that if you were to roll your heat against him one more time he would come undone.
“Want you so bad, Enjin. Please.” You choke, reaching between your bodies to paw at his belt. Your fingers toy with the worn leather as he takes pity on you enough to help, slender fingers brush yours away as he unbuckles it, tugging them down with his underwear just enough to free his aching cock.
It’s better than you expected, and your belly swirls with anticipation at the sight of him. What he lacks in girth he makes up for in length, the leaky cock head settles against his abdomen. Pre matts the messy blond hairs that follow a trail up to his bellybutton as the tip burns a fiery red. Swollen, angry and desperate for release as you wrap a palm around him. Making his hips buck wildly as you give a tentative stroke, catching the pre beading at the tip against your palm as you roll your wrist. Holding him straight as you look down between your bodies, watching where his length ends in comparison with your torso as you wonder if he’ll be so deep he’ll cum inside your guts.
Enjin becomes more restless now, impatient, as he bunches your skirt up around your hips. Groaning at the very evident wet patch that gleams against your panties as he presses a calloused finger against it, your eyes roll back into your skull as you feel him graze your clit.
“Oh, baby.” He hisses when your hand tightens around his girth, almost forgetting everything as you focus on the sensation of his fingers toying with you through the thin fabric, “Watch the nails.”
“S-ah, sorry,” You pant, loosening your grip as you follow the forking veins along him with the tips of your fingers.
“Gonna eat this sweet little pussy later, I promise.” He grunts, tugging your panties to the side as he watches your slick cling to the fabric, breaking off into silvery lines as he runs two fingers through your messy folds.
“Fuck, oh my god— Enjin,” Your hips rut pitifully at his touch. The sensation foreign but so satisfying as you seek it out again, whining as he circles the calloused pad of his index finger around your tight hole. Feeling the way it flutters around nothing as it tries to coax him in like a vindictive siren singing a final lullaby to a sailor.
Enjin breaches the gap and the sound that leaves your throat is downright debauched, causing his cock to jolt as he hooked his finger against your soft inner walls. It’s all too much, and simply not enough as you find yourself rolling your hips into his touch. Goading him to press his digit deeper as he feels just how wet and tight you are, certain that he’d never be able to replicate the feeling himself no matter how many Jinki he activated.
“You’re so pretty like this,” He murmurs, his thumb swipes your clit as he watches you try to ride his single finger.
“Enjin, don’t tease me,” You sigh breathlessly, wrapping your palm around his cock as it leaks fresh pre down the shaft. Drooling onto your fingers as you hold him upright, “I need you now.”
“I need to stretch you out, sweetheart.” He grunts, “I don’t wanna hurt you—”
“No, please Enjin,” You hover yourself over his length as you feel his leaky cock head graze your slit, “I want it to hurt.”
“Fuck,” His cock jumps at the lewd thought, wetting his lips with his tongue as his Adam’s apple bobs in his throat.
“I’ve got a rubber,” He continues, wondering whether the one sat neatly inside his wallet is even in date. He neglects you to turn towards the back of the van to seek out his coat, “But I don’t know if it’s in date—”
“Don’t need it,” You tighten your fist around his cock, causing his head to fall back against the headrest, eyes roll back as you brush the tip of his cock through your sloppy folds, “Just pull out, okay?”
And Enjin thinks that’s easier said than done when he finally feels the warmth of your wet cunt engulf him. You’ve barely taken his engorged tip and the heat is already scorching, searing into him as he watches your face contort in pleasure. Trying his hardest not to use his grip on your hips to impale you on his cock in one fell swoop.
You’re slowly sinking down onto him now and you can feel every delicious inch as you take more and more of him inside. Your unprepped walls throb and ache as they adjust to the stretch, feeling every ridge contour to him as you give a few shallow thrusts.
You already feel impossibly full with half, your chest so tight as though you can feel him in your throat. His calloused thumb presses soft figure of eights to your puffy clit to distract you, and honestly to distract him too as it takes every ounce of willpower not to force you down on his throbbing cock.
“Wanna feel every inch of you.” You whine, bending your head to look between your bodies as you take more of him. Feeling the messy hairs at the base of his cock tickle your clit as you know you’re almost fully seated, positioning your hands on broad shoulders for some semblance of reality as Enjin feels your walls shudder around him.
“Yeah? Want me to fuck you into the shape of my cock, sweetheart?” His words have your clit throbbing and your cunt convulsing as he grins. Neglecting your clit to hold onto the swell of your ass as he starts a savage pace, pulling you down onto his cock each time he ruts his hips up. Heavy balls slap against your ass with each movement, and you’re screaming obscenities.
Enjin’s never been more thankful that there’s no one around as he does nothing to quell your pretty sounds, instead he actively encourages them as he goads you on. Landing a harsh smack to your ass as he feels you clench around him.
“That’s it, pretty girl,” He coos, “You get yours—”
You’re practically using his body for your own pleasure as you roll your hips, his pubes tickle your clit with every forward motion as you cry out for him. Your hand splayed against the fogged window as the other buries sharp nails into his bare shoulder. Leaving red crescent-shaped moons in their wake as you grind against him, feeling the pleasure continuing to build in your abdomen.
There’s something sordid about watching you ride him, the subtle bounce of your tits as you roll your hips. Your thighs trembling as you struggle to maintain a steady pace, exerting all of your energy to try and pleasure yourself. A fact that really gets him off. Enjin takes pity on you, not leaving you to do all the work as he uses his grip to him you fuck yourself on his cock.
“God, look at you—“ Enjin sneers, though there’s no malice in it, “So fuckin’ perfect.”
He knows neither of you will last long, the pent up emotion shared between the two of you was unparalleled. So heightened that it was only a matter of time that it would reach boiling point and flood over. The fleeting glances and gentle touches not enough to quench the desire inside you both, as it left you craving more.
But he’s not going to concede to you so easily, slipping a black painted nail between your bodies as he thumbs your clit, pressing the palm of his hand against your pelvis so he can feel himself inside you. Watching the way your lashes flutter as you throw your head back in pleasure, your hand sliding against the fogged glass as your climax surges through you. Enjin keeps his thumb consistent against your clit we you lean back, throbbing around his cock as you ride out your bliss. There’s nothing but white hot pleasure blanketing your vision and making your brain fuzzy as you try to remember to breathe.
“God, you look so pretty when you cum.” He almost sighs, giving your clit a final sloppy circle before pulling away to hold your hips. Fingertips dip into your plush skin as he cherishes the way you pulse around him, giving himself a moment as he almost loses it too early. Terrified of finishing too soon and never having the chance to do this again—
His strengthens his grip on your hips, tilting your body back as he fucks you with renewed vigour. Selfishly seeking out his own climax as your back is pressed against the wheel, the horn blares in the background as you accidentally nudge it but neither of you seem to care. Your breasts bounce from the ferocity of his movements, his skin sticking to the worn leather seat every time his hips cant back but he still doesn’t stop.
“I’m gonna pull out, sweetheart.” He groans, lifting your body to reluctantly slip his cock from your warmth. Enjin knows if he doesn’t do it now, he never will. Perfectly content with fisting himself all over your skin.
“No, please don’t pull out, Enjin,” You clench around him, trying to keep him lodged inside you as your thighs tighten on either side of him, “Wanna feel you.”
“We can’t— I shouldn’t,” He presses, but there’s no real argument there. Not when your warm cunt coaxed him back in so eagerly, “I’m gonna cum, baby.”
“Just cum inside me.” You reply as though it’s the most simple answer in the world.
“Ah, shit.” He grunts, your saccharine tone the final straw as his hips spasm. Unable to control the pleasure burning in his pelvis as his balls seize. His grip on your hips almost painful, certain to leave bruises in their wake as he fucks into you with renewed vigour. Both of you focused on each other as Enjin gives a few more frantic pumps inside your warm, wet cunt before he meets his own end.
“Fuck— gonna cum, shit.” He grunts as he pumps rope after rope of spunk inside your trembling walls, painting them white. His hips jerkily fuck it into you with a few more sloppy thrusts as you feel the warmth of it engulf you, your chest heaves as you try to come down from your high.
You both settle in silence, the only sound is the falling debris just outside the cave as the storm continues to rage. And your steady breath breathing together in tandem as Enjin’s fingers stroke slow absentminded patterns against your exposed skin.
You make the most adorable whine as Enjin pulls you up off his softening cock, wincing at the wet feeling of his release now drooling onto his inner thighs and the floor of the van as he pulls your chest against his. Your arms weave around his shoulders as you bury your face in his neck, breathing in the scent of him as you bask in the afterglow.
“I didn’t think you wanted me like that,” You mumble against his collarbone, voice barely a whisper as you toy with one of his earrings.
“What?” Enjin tilts his head back slightly, turning to the side to try and meet your gaze as you shyly hide away, warm palms stroking your back, “How could I not want you like that?”
“I guess it’s just been so long,” You continue, “I just started to think maybe you just thought I was a friend.”
“I never really thought I had to say it,” Enjin shrugged, “You’ve always just kinda been mine in my head. Even if you weren’t officially mine.”
“So you’ve never wanted anyone else?” You were terrified of his answer, worried about all the women out there that were definitely prettier than you, smarter, funnier.
“Sweetheart, there would only ever be one girl I’d wanna give a diamond ring to.” He grins, pressing a wet sloppy kiss to your cheek.

Hello can I request Luxiem reacting to you taking off their engagement ring (assuming them and reader are engaged)? The situation can differ per member. Also if you’re not comfortable doing all members then at least Vox, Shu and Ike will be okay. Thank you!
oooo i saw “the situation can differ” and i took the fattest sip out of my coffee. i love drama. if you’re looking for something specifically fluff or angst with your oshi i hope the rng works in your favor
tags: gender neutral reader, established relationship, engagement and marriage, fluff, angst, breakups, arranged marriage, misunderstandings, unrequited love alternate universe, reader gets sold to one direction, i popped off a little too hard on some of these so sorry if you can detect a bias 😔

🖋 Ike Eveland
Ike spent all the time in the world examining every last ring at the jeweler's with the eye of a detective, whittling down each choice until he found the perfect ring to propose to you with.
Now he looks back at the white gold and how it reflects his face as he holds it up close, glasses up on his forehead while his nearsighted eyes take it in. The diamond in the center divides his reflection up in facets that gleam even as his shadow covers the overhead light, while the two sapphires on either side make the blue in his eyes all the more prominent.
He thought he had it all planned out, and he wasn't so presumptuous that he knew everything would go like how his wildest dreams unfolded, but he thought he had done at least something right. The moment he got on one knee was the number-one proof there was magic in the world.
So why, then, isn't the engagement ring in its rightful place on your hand?
He turns it over, inspecting the band as if there would be a clue engraved on the metal. Nothing, and it makes the growing panic in his head all the louder. You've already left the home much earlier that day, and he hasn't gotten a single text from you since. That's not surprising—he's clingy but not so much that he needs updates from you 24/7—but it's gnawing at him. You were so happy when he proposed that you cried with him, and your eyes rarely left the band around your finger. You swore you'd never leave it behind with wet eyes and the biggest smile in the world.
The memory just makes Ike all the more confused. He found it in the bathroom, on the sink counter like just any old piece of jewelry, even though you always keep it on your nightstand in the same place every day. It's a ritual to slip it on every morning and take it off every night, and there's been more than a few times Ike placed it on your finger before anyone's left the bed, as if the magic of the proposal still lingers with every day he's your fiancé.
At least, he thought it did. Something about plans and not being presumptuous, and doing something right. Or God forbid, doing something wrong.
He clutches the ring closer in his hand as he kneels on the bathroom tile, the cool metal turning warm with how long he's been holding it, while he puts the last few days on replay. Did he ruin something without noticing? He dreads the thought, and when he can't think of any recent transgressions, he tries to recall every day since the proposal.
Anxiety dyes the memories over. He always treasured every moment, even the imperfect ones where he's made a fool of himself (because what else is he supposed to do when he's in love like nothing else), but now he's starting to realize that he could've done better. He should've done better.
He's so lost in his thoughts and the labyrinth of deceit they invite that he doesn't recognize the world around him, even as the home comes to life while he sits still. He ignores the latching of keys and doors opening and closing. The only thing that snaps him out if it is footfalls along the flooring, slowly growing in volume as they approach the bathroom, until they're interrupted by the door creaking open and—
"Holy—Ike! You scared me!" Your hands are raised, startled, but lower to your side. "I just got home, and I was wondering where you went and... Why are you on the floor?"
Count another moment of foolishness. Ike returns to the waking world, where he sits on his legs over the tile of the master bathroom of the house, hands cupped around the engagement ring and the one he cares for above all else behind him, and yet still he can barely muster the strength to raise his head, much less speak out loud.
"Reader," he says. "I, uh, I have a question."
The words end there, and too ashamed to look up, he brings his hands out instead. Diamond and sapphires shine through his palms.
He hears a sharp intake of air. A gasp. Of shock, certainly, but whatever fuels it is lost to him.
"No way, you found it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" You plop down on the floor right next to your fiancé, leaning along his shoulder in disbelief. "It wasn't in any of my pockets, and I was just about to turn the house upside-down. Where was it?"
"I'm not sure how to approach this," Ike mumbles, before fixing his glasses and raising his quiet voice a bit louder. "It was in the bathroom."
"Ohh, that explains it. I probably took it off to wash my hands, then."
Ike falters. "Wh-what?"
"I usually take it off before getting my hands wet," you explain, as if it's the most mundane thing in the world. It is. "I know gold is waterproof, but I don't want it to lose its shine or anything."
"Right. The shine."
Ike Eveland, certified idiot, at your service.
The ring sits pretty in one hand while the other runs through his hair. Another foolish moment, but with your head up on his shoulder, his anxieties calm.
Fingertips rest along his palm, and when he looks at its source, you return the gaze. Your eyes sparkle nearly as bright as the gemstones, but your lids are lowered, trying to discern something. "Ike, you look like you have something on your mind."
"I do, don't I." At that, he muffles a laugh, fingers still tangled in his ashy hair. "No, I'm just glad that the ring reunited with its owner."
"Thanks again." You nod, the elated smile on your face fading into a dopey one. "Can you...?"
The exchange is wordless, and in his palm, warm. Ike takes the ring and turns it upright, while the hand it rested on takes yours instead.
Every morning when the both of you are too sleepy to even speak, he manages to treat your hands like fine crystal glass, and still he does now, with your palm resting under his grasp and fingers dangling out. The metal's temperature doesn't shock you at all. It's an extension of you, even when it was under Ike's watch.
Ike affixes the band with care, lashes and disheveled hair covering his eyes as he focuses, but you can discern the small, struck curve in his lips as he twists the band into place, certain it won't budge for the rest of the day.
You start to raise your hand, but before you do he gently tugs it back down, still focused on the way the engagement ring gleams. Then up at your knuckles, and higher on your arm until you can see a hint of green through the lashes. That green blinks back under his eyelashes as he lifts your knuckles to his lips.

🦁 Luca Kaneshiro
It's late. You haven't checked the time in hours, but it's dark, and the false daylight from the old floor lamp in your living room cuts through the night in the window.
You should be asleep by now. You haven't gotten a good rest in what feels like forever. You've always been too worried, and when worry eased it turned into hollowness, even when the other side of the bed sinks with added weight.
You sit along the couch in the corner you always occupy on late nights when Luca is out. Whenever he comes back, he always wraps his arms around you and kisses the top of your head. A metallic scent follows him.
The door opens. Warm arms envelop you. Squeeze. Lips against your hair.
You don't have it in you to smile.
He can tell. His grin falls as he peels back his gloves. They're tinted darker on the knuckles. "Reader. You've been so distant lately."
"I will be. It'll be better for me to stop seeing you. It's not safe." The dredges of all your past arguments curl into your throat.
It breaks your heart to see Luca so stunned. Months upon months cleaning and dressing his wounds, and you've never seen him so taken aback.
That's one of the reasons you can't go on like you used to.
"I've spent so much of my time telling you to watch yourself, and so much time just asking you to come home," you explain. "You know as well as I do you can take a break. But you don't.
"And I can't control you, but do you know how many times I've had to stay up just to know you'll be safe? To know I'll be safe?" Your fingers tense. "The gunfire outside, the spyware, I stopped ordering packages because ever since that threat last year I've been paranoid one of your enemies might actually leave a bomb at my doorstep. I don't know how you can do it, but I can't.
"And I've spent so much time alone."
Your eyes fall to the engagement ring on your hand. It's glamorous and gold, with tiny diamonds that line the band and frame the large diamond in the center like pawns to a king. Is that what you are to him?
You raise the back of your palm up, and the lamp makes the diamonds shimmer. "What does this even mean? You tell me you love me but you never give me your time anymore. You can't just do that, Luca. Not when I stay up night after night worrying what if you got shot, or stabbed, or kidnapped, and every night you don't come home or even send me a text I can't help myself from thinking that."
"I wouldn't." Luca's big purple eyes make contact with yours. The way his voice wavers and his face is set into a grimace, you know he's serious, and those purple eyes are honest. "I wouldn't get hurt and leave you by yourself like that."
"But you did! There are days in a row where I don't see a trace of you and consider calling in a missing persons case! Weeks, even, and so many times I have to patch you up after a fight!"
"I can take care of myself."
"And I want to take care of you! We're engaged, that means we're in it together, but I can't do this! I'm not some superhero mafioso like you. I'm just-"
Your throat tightens. You were doing such a good job at keeping yourself together, but the diamonds are your chain.
You rip the ring off yourself, and Luca watches in horror.
"I'm just normal."
The ring lands on the table, next to the water stains from the previous tenant. Your fiancé is motionless.
"I'll help you collect your things tomorrow when it's a decent hour," you snap, patience lost. "But you're not staying here. God knows you've found places to spend the night without me."
"We're not over," he says, utterly in disbelief.
"Yes, we are! You can't get it through your head that you're dangerous, and you can't even make up for it by being there when it matters. I'm not safe. How could I ever feel safe when the man that proposed to me is never around to actually protect me? You said you would when you got down on one knee, and ever since it's only been more danger! That's the opposite of what you promised me!"
You snatch the ring with one hand and his own in the other. He winces, and you can see a newly formed bruise where his own band glints up at you. Another late fight tonight, when he could've rested.
You push the engagement ring into his palm and force the fingers closed around it. He doesn't even protest. "Go home. Let me be alone like I know you're so good at doing."
"I'll be back for you. I'll make it right. I swear."
"You had your chance and you blew it. You're lucky I'm not changing the lock before you get your things." You leer, scorned and scarred. "We're done."

👟 Shu Yamino
Your hand shakes, and the engagement ring between your fingers glints in the lighting. The gold is stark against your skin even in the glow, with a pear-shaped stone in the center of the ring that catches the glow in little reflections off the surface of the fabric of your attire and your skin. They start purple, then gleam in subtle rainbows of fire.
It’s an elegant piece with slanted filigree wrapped all around like Shu's flames around your finger. The stone smiles, and when the light bounces off the facets, it giggles speckles of glitter against you.
Shu is so beautiful in white. His eyes are a brilliant royal purple just like the stone, especially as he blinks back tears, and even though his hair is braided back, a strand of hair strays by his right side. He spent the last twenty minutes blowing it out of his face nervously.
Your fingers graze over the gold. The fiery stone lets out a laugh as it slides off your finger.
Shu's hand meets yours. "Let me help you," he whispers, so quiet that no one could ever hear it but you. He shakes too, but he is together with you, and as you present him your hand, the engagement ring finds its place on your right ring finger.
He produces another, one that the both of you picked out together. It, too, is gold, but simply bent upward in a point like a chevron. Two stones, one diamond and one deep purple, are placed on the side. One to represent each of you, set together in metal.
"I've been dreaming about this for so long," he admits. His voice is wet. You know your eyes are too, and even though you gingerly wipe them, you focus on how much care he puts into placing the band around your left ring finger, both hands trembling at the excitement.
It takes you time to find your words. Even as you bring out his ring, you're still speechless, and the weight of the gold is both air and boulder. "I love you," you say, because that's all you can think. His band matches the angle shape of yours, but the metal is thicker to fit his hands, and flat enough to reflect your ring alongside his. As you place it on his finger, you brush against his knuckles.
"Reader. Do you take Shu as your lawfully wedded husband, to live in matrimony, to have and to hold, in both sickness and in health, dedicated to him for as long as you live?"
"I love you, I do, I do, I do."
"Shu. Do you take Reader as your lawfully wedded spouse, to live in matrimony, to have and to hold, in both sickness and in health, dedicated to them for as long as you live?"
"I do. God, I love you." You don't retract your hand, and he wraps around yours. The gold weaves between your fingers. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
"You have pledged before these witnesses to be joined in marriage, and you have now sealed this pledge by exchanging these wedding rings. By the power vested in me, I pronounce you officially married!"
You barely hear the officiator before Shu leans in. You meet him where your wedding ring presses against his skin and the engagement ring spreads royal freckles across his face.
You're set alight, gold on gold, lip against lip. You take his first kiss of many as a newly married man.

👹 Vox Akuma
The Lord Akuma may be self-assured, but he knows when his intuition is trying to signal something, and so he approaches you with what you can already tell is hesitation. "My love."
"Lord."
"It has come to my attention—"
"There's a first for everything," you mock.
You know your attitude more than justifies the trepidation. Good. You'll admit that talking back to a noble is a death sentence, and anyone that dared to disrespect Lord Akuma’s name would be strung up for their rudeness.
However, you are not simply ‘anyone.’ You are the royal heir to a kingdom of your own, and your death would bring upon a far worse fate to the Lord than any public execution.
Lord Akuma’s harsh red makeup squints together as he leers—then sighs and tries again, shoulders still square as if that would intimidate you. “It has come to my attention that you reject our engagement.”
Years of etiquette has taught you otherwise, but now, you understand the commonfolk’s urge to spit on the shoes of another. “Of course I reject it. I would never marry someone like you.”
“As you’ve made it abundantly clear. You have my apologies if your time in my castle has been lackluster. Please, if the accommodations have been subpar, or the staff neglectful, just say the word. It will be handled accordingly.”
“I don’t give a damn about your castle. I’m not marrying you!” You snap. “You’re a disgusting pig of a warlord. My kingdom will never accept this.”
“Is that truly what you think?”
You nod, hair in your face and teeth gnashed together. “They’ll come for me. They’ll stand up against the empire we’ve been at war with for the abduction of their royal heir.”
“I’m afraid that’s not how it works, my love.”
“And quit calling me that!”
“Look at me.”
In an instant Lord Akuma lifts your chin with a finger, forcing you to face him even as you try to turn away. “But that is who you are.” Vox’s eyes, a pallid yellow most days, turn darker than sunsets. “Despite your kingdoms political climate, you are no ruler. A heir, yes, but no ruler. Making your own choice in marriage was never an option.”
He produces the ring, a gold band in a traditional style practiced in his empire alone. You’re no jeweler, but it’s clear it’s a heirloom passed down from blood to blood until it fell into Lord Akuma’s hands. You don’t need a artisan’s knowledge to know those rubies feel much heavier than they look, either.
“I was heartbroken to see you left this behind in your room,” Lord Akuma said, coolly and evenly, and certainly not heartbroken at all. Ice slides down your spine as you realize that hesitance wasn’t out of fear at all. No, you’ve underestimated him entirely. “Especially after the true rulers of your kingdom, your parents, accepted the terms and gave me their blessing.
“If you see me as simply a political figure, then I’m sure you can recognize you aren’t half of the politician you claim to be.” His grin grows wider. “Perhaps a bargaining chip is a better title.”
Your vision flares red, then white as you thrash. “You—“
“Hold still.”
Lord Akuma’s grip is startlingly strong. His nails dig into the sides of your cheeks as he shoves you against the wall.
As much as you try to slip away, the Lord Akuma is the general of his army as well as a noble, and has dealt with much more cunning minds than yours. He pins you down, hot weight pressing your arm away while he catches your left hand.
“It would be wise not to resist me,” he commands.
Still you writhe, even though Lord Akuma shifts his weight to disable you further. Your knuckles are turning white under his grip.
Your strength is on the verge of giving out, now that the adrenaline is wearing off, and Lord Akuma is no longer shocked. You grunt and force every last bit of energy into your fist, but his fingers weave around yours, pulling your fist apart until he wrests the ruby ring onto your finger.
“You bastard,” you hiss. You must be a wreck right now, in improper dress and sweltering under Lord Akuma, and with every last courtesy abandoned in your hatred. The exhaustion from the fight fuels both anger and humiliation, especially now that Lord Akuma is so close. “You’re sick, Lord Akuma.”
He looks down at you, and has the gall to look disappointed. “My love, your fiancé’s name is Vox.”
You growl. “I hate you, more than anything.”
Vox is barely an inch away, and grins as he closes the distance. His teeth point daggers. “Then kiss me like you hate me.”

Back with more White Diamond x Sentinel Prime crackship nonsense baby!!!
Ever since I first thought about these goobers, I haven't known a single day of peace (mostly cause the ideas are just racking around in my brain)
So here's a list of headcanons I came up with for Prime Diamond! If you have any questions regarding this ship, my ask box is open. Double if you have any thoughts or anything to add, go on ahead! I hope y'all enjoy!
I may make a part 2 when I come up with more lol
Tumblr media
For this relationship to even be possible (as possible as a crackship between two characters from completely different franchises can be), it will have to take place Post-Steven Universe Finale/Future when White Diamond is in her therapy, self-help guru era. And when Sentinel Prime is... alive.
Also, I have been trying to do research regarding this but since the results are so inconsistent, I'm gonna assume White Diamond is around 80 to 90 ft tall and Sentinel is around 60 (based on how he's double Orion Pax's height and apparently TF One Orion is around 33 ft tall). If you know their actual canonical heights or anything close to that, please lemme know!
As mentioned in a reblog, White Diamond would take an interest in Sentinel Prime as a sort of little DIY project. Though he tries to hide it, White with her supernatural intuitiveness can tell there's more to him than meets the eye (he's an asshole). Having been inspired by Steven to see the worth and beauty in imperfections, she wants to give someone like Sentinel a chance like Steven did for her. Though she is making genuine strides to improve upon her previous controlling and obsessive behavior regarding perfection, this aspect of her will resurface in her attempts "fix" Sentinel while in a relationship with him. She adores and finds much interest in his "positive imperfections," but helping him improve on his more negative ones wouldn't hurt, right?
Other reasons she developed an attraction to him is for the same reason all the Sentinel fangirls did: he's just so... pathetic. When he tries to impress her with stories of battles he's never fought in and gives her a tour of his treasure room full of artifacts he didn't discover, she can tell he's trying way too hard to impress her. She finds this cute and charming rather than douchey and desperate.
Sentinel Prime pursued her because, as stated in a previous reblog, "his diva ass was always going to try and seek out a gem fit for a king." He laid his eyes on an 80-90 ft giant alien rock woman and thought,"I need her." As any sane person would. She was supposed to be nothing more than another symbol of wealth for him to show off to the other elites and officials of Iacon City to further cement the royal image he works so hard to maintain. He definitely underestimated how overwhelming White Diamond can be, and I am not just referring to her height.
Sentinel would rather have his spark be extinguished than admit to this, but his stabilizing servos get wobbly at the idea of his alien girlfriend being so much taller than he is. His pride would never admit to this, nor would it accept someone taller than him accompanying him. He believes that as a "Prime," he is supposed to be much taller, bigger, and more imposing than those around him.
Whenever they make a public appearance, Sentinel insists that White shrink herself to a height more tolerable for his fragile ego. He bullshits an excuse about their buildings not being designed for a being as tall as she is. White obliges, but given how Iacon was built when the previous actual Primes were all gigantic and alive, she quickly figures his lie and confronts him about it. He'd just lie again and say he didn't want the other Cybertronians to be intimidated... by her beauty. Clearly, it's not because of some Napolean complex or something. Still, White is in her patience era, so she takes the compliment for what it is.
The "guy who doesn't like speeches" vs. "professional yapper" isn't a joke. Sentinel can't stand how much White Diamond loves to yap. She's the kind of person to have thoughts and opinions about anything and everything. Given that she doesn't breathe, she doesn't even need to catch her breath in the middle of speaking, so she can go on and on and on, much to Sentinel's annoyance.
He tries to get her to quiet down at times, but as White tends to do, she either doesn't hear him or straight up ignores him. Her monologuing, along with her height and just how shiny she is, is very overwhelming for Sentinel at times. The only good thing he finds about this aspect of his sweetspark is when she dotes on him and showers him with compliments and attention. As if an attention hungry fame whore needed any more of it.
Sentinel even allows White to indulge in her psychoanalysis, playing up the whole "tragic hero whose brothers and sisters perished in battle and now has to face the pain and weight of protecting his people alone" angle that she eats up. White does sometimes hit dangerously close to home, so Sentinel shuts her down before she could dig straight to bedrock and uncover the more unfavorable parts of himself he wants to stay hidden.
Speaking of staying hidden, the way White carries herself in public makes Sentinel was to keep her locked away in a jewelry box. White is excellent when it comes to using her words to inflict psychic damage or to build someone up. When it comes to social situations where charisma, relatability, and poise are needed, this is when White is at her most alien. She is not the most socially adjusted given that prior to the finale, she spent thousands of years hidden away in a world of her own delusions. She doesn't have much of a filter, something she has been working on to avoid upsetting others.
She has the habit of pointing out any interesting thing that catches her eye, especially about people, whether or not it's positive or negative. This has led to her unsettling the bots at best or offending them at worst. Sentinel then has to come in and use his charisma to difuse the situation and paint her behavior in a more positive light. Only for White to turn around and ask everyone if they ever noticed how Sentinel's wings move in accordance to his mood and how adorable it is. Everyone laughs. Sentinel is thoroughly pissed.
Sentinel definitely has more relationship experience than White Diamond. All of her knowledge comes from what she's heard from the gems that come to her for advice or from that human show the little green Crystal Gem recommended (she can't remember her name). In her attempts to emulate the behavior she's heard of and observed, she ends up coming off as cringe or detached from reality. At certain points of the relationship, she even imposes certain "deadlines" on courtship behaviors she expects from Sentinel. All his previous relationships were private, casual flings. He only made this one public because bagging a bad bitch like White Diamond is an accomplishment he felt he had to show off.
This may come to bite him in the aft when her radiance catches the attention of other bots. On these occasions, he acts possessive and showers her with attention, gifts, and affection. He tells himself and Airachnid it's because he doesn't want her to outshine him in the eyes of the public. In reality, he gets jealous and doesn't want to lose her interest and, most importantly, her attention. As overwhelming and embarrassing as she can be, a twisted part of him really craves her attention.
In private, Sentinel can flip flop greatly in how he treats White. On some days he leans on her for support and wants her to pet his wings while he vents about all the dumb, annoying bots he has to fraternize with and all the boring meetings he has to attend. White occasionally interrupts him with advice or her own views on the situation, which frustrates Sentinel. On other days, he's completely detached, not even bothering to give her the time of day. He is at his most consistently sweet and romantic when they're both in the public eye, performing grand gestures of love. This intensifies when they're on camera.
They present themselves as THE Iacon couple, but Sentinel and White argue a lot about pretty much anything. More often than not, White is trying to advise him on how to improve himself and his city, and Sentinel kindly tells her to shut up and mind her own business.
They are both very prideful people who can't accept when they are wrong. White is more willing than Sentinel to admit to it and compromise. If she believes she is 100% in the right, she won't go down without a verbal fight. She has yet to figure out how to properly counter Sentinel's "NUH UH!" though. She believes this is normal and healthy as she hears time and time again how arguments are a sign of a functional relationship. White knows how in the past she never allowed anyone to express their grievances or criticize her. If they did, she'd twist their words to further force her own viewpoint or take control over their mind and body. Seeing Sentinel passionately argue back while White practices her listening skills and only sometimes speaks over him gives her hope that she isn't regressing back to her previous toxicity. No one has told her that disagreements are healthy and normal, but frequent fights and arguments are not. And the kind of hellish circles these two go in just ain't it

If I remember, you criticize the diamonds from Steven universe for being complex villains and having personalities. Then, you criticize Stella from helluva boss for being an abusive wife for seemingly no reason. Can you explain to me why this shouldn’t be considered hypocrisy (besides your hatred)?
Hello anon, your tone makes me believe you are a biased Viviziepop Stan who has missed the entire point of my criticism for both shows, so I’ll take this time to clarify:
The diamonds are amazing characters. They are complex. They are terrible people, but have redeeming qualities. They are their own characters outside of Pink Diamond.
Stella is not complex. She’s a terrible person with no redeeming qualities. Stella is not her own character outside of Stolas.
I’m extremely confused how you think these two are related. The only thing I’ve criticized the diamonds for was their rushed , not believable redemption. Let me explain; Blue and Yellow are the exception to a degree. They were expected and forced to conquer and control by White Diamond.
They were racist, homophobic (fusion) , and totalitarian. They murdered hundreds of thousands of people for the sake of their perfect empire, but they were imperfect themselves. If they didn’t do what White said, they would be in trouble and she would take their wills from them.
Blue and Yellow, the only reason they woke up is because Pink Diamond left. Because their closest family member died. After hundreds of years of shutting their emotions out and feeling nothing but emotion respectively, they finally woke up and realized how miserable they were. How miserable they’ve always been, and that’s what ultimately pushed Pink away. Pink was the only one that brought them together, who made them truly happy. Knowing they were responsible for their own misery, they realized they needed to change.
Blue and Yellow decided to become better people, but they still had a long ways to go. There’s a lot of damage to the universe they can never undo. It’s not too late to change, but we only saw them wanting to change for the sake of their family member. Magically, their biased racism and homophobia vanishes and they just become saints to their people over the course of a few years when their destructive terrible nature and belief system has been instilled into them for thousands of decades. The show didn’t have enough time to make this change to their morality believable, but had we had more time, it probably would have been perfectly acceptable.
The biggest issue here however is White Diamond. The show set up to pin the blame of the empire onto her. White diamond does not become a better person because she misses Pink Diamond. Even after the finale she still believes organic life, fusions, and off colors to be disgusting; her racism still peaking through. The thing that “redeems” her is a literal joke. Steven embarrasses her. She becomes insecure when she realizes she’s not living up to her own expectations. It’s all still completely narcissistic in nature.
Even to “redeem” herself, she goes around and lets other people control her body and will instead of the other way around, which, after ordering the conquer of hundreds of thousands of planets , with all the blood and gem shards on her hands- this is an extremely unusual , counterproductive way to undo any damage she caused to the universe. It feels like she didn’t suffer. One does not necessarily have to suffer to be redeemed, but when you are someone so full of yourself, so shut off and uncaring and not empathetic to the world around you, I believe, in order to truly change, you need to understand what other people have gone through because of you. You could argue she’s doing that by synchronizing with other people, but she’s not actually doing anything about the pain or suffering she’s caused them. She just lets them use her and take things out on her which isn’t productive either.
Long ramble short,Stella is flat, the Diamonds are complex. Helluva Boss has time to explore its villain characters, Steven Universe did not.
Stella is an annoying waste of screen time, while the Diamonds are integral to the series as well as the overall message.
These characters and series are incomparable.

Universe Falls Timeline (New and Improved)
Finally got around to creating a new, from the ground up UF timeline, including all pre-story events, UF, UF2, and UFF and even beyond (aka MK2 or at least the start of it). Bear in mind that nothing in this timeline is finalized or official until it is actually written into UF proper, everything here is subject to change and shift around, and spoilers are abundant for all three stories, but there are some that I think are too spoilery that I've blocked out for ya'll. So with all that said, enjoy! (below the cut bc this is EXTREMELY LONG)
Ancient History
Pre-History
The Axolotl comes into existence, presiding over time and space
Bill Cipher is born in Euclydia to Euclid and Scalene
In an attempt to "liberate" Euclydia from the second dimension, Bill ends up destroying his home dimension and everyone in it
Bill conquers a slowly decaying dimension known as the Nightmare Realm and forms his gang of Henchmaniacs
The universe is born along with its countless lifeforms. (Humans and Gems included)
Bill sets his sights on Earth, wanting to merge the Nightmare Realm with it and conquer it as his own
Eons Ago
White Diamond, acting as the leader of all Gemkind, constructs the Gem Homeworld society
White Diamond creates Yellow Diamond and Blue Diamond to aid her in colonizing other worlds
White emphasizes the importance of perfection, creating Homeworld's caste system, bans cross-Gem fusion, and punishes Gems deemed "imperfect"
Under the Great Diamond Authority, the Gem race expands and cements their control over 43 planetary bodies and two star systems through colonization
Pink Diamond is created as the last of the Diamonds, coming out smaller than the others
Fluorite, Rhodonite, Padparadscha, and the Rutile Twins are considered "off color" by Homeworld standards and remain in hiding underground in an abandoned Kindergarten to avoid the Shattering Robonoids
Pink Diamond is given Pink Pearl, who she ends up damaging in a fit of rage; after this, White Diamond takes Pink Pearl away and takes control of her
Pink Diamond is given Spinel as a playmate and Pearl is given to Pink to replace her old one
Over 6,000 years ago
Ruby, Sapphire, Bismuth, and Lapis Lazuli are created on the Gem Homeworld or one of its colonies
Gems arrive on Earth, their first scout ship crash landing in what would eventually become Gravity Falls, Oregon; the impact of their ship's landing forms a deep valley
Pink Diamond is granted access to colonize Earth; she abandons Spinel in the garden to focus on running her colony
Gems begin to emerge in the Prime Kindergarten; Structures such as the Lunar Sea Spire, Communication Hub, Sky Spire, Moon Base, and Sea Shrine are constructed; Amethyst is formed (but does not emerge) in the Alpha Kindergarten
Pearl inspires Pink Diamond to disguise herself as a Rose Quartz so she can explore the Earth; while on Earth, Pink becomes fascinated by the beauty of the planet and realizes that her colony would destroy all of it
Pink contacts the other Diamonds to tell them that she does not wish to complete the colony and instead wants to preserve the life on Earth; in response, Blue Diamond creates a Human Zoo for her and she along with Yellow Diamond kidnap humans from their families and stored them inside the Zoo
Over 5,750 Years Ago
Pink Diamond decides to use her Rose Quartz alter-ego to make a stand that her fellow Diamonds could not ignore. She originally intended to use Rose Quartz to scare away other Gems
Pink Diamond (as Rose Quartz) and Pearl defect from Homeworld and form the Crystal Gems
The cut of Rose Quartz is thereby recognized as a threat and every Rose Quartz is removed from service, specifically from Pink Diamond's entourage; they are bubbled in the human zoo
Blue Diamond and members of her court arrive on Earth and oversees the removal of the then-forming Rebellion
Sapphire is sent to Earth along with three Ruby guards at the request of Blue Diamond; after Rose and Pearl launch a direct attack, Ruby and Sapphire accidentally form Garnet for the first time
Rose tells Pearl how fascinated she is that two completely different Gems fused. Pearl attempts to fuse with Rose but fails. Rose and Pearl run into Garnet where Rose tells her to never question who she is, recruiting her to the Crystal Gems
Over 5,500 Years Ago
Pink Diamond tries one more time to persuade Yellow and Blue to end colonization, this time using Rose Quartz as an excuse. The other Diamonds continued to ignore her pleas
Rose meets Bill Cipher for the first time; he offers to help her save the Earth from the other Diamonds and the two become friends, eventually developing feelings for each other
The Gem War officially begins
Bismuth is recruited to Rose's cause, outfitting the Crystal Gems with weapons; she creates Rose's Sword
True to his word, Bill assists the Crystal Gems' cause by possessing Homeworld Gems, using them to shatter their comrades before forcing them to shatter themselves; Rose is largely unaware of this but over time, Pearl becomes suspicious of his motives
Rose and Bill's romance continues as they fuse for the first of several times, forming Druzy Quartz
Humans begin to become involved in the Gem War; wanting to protect them without raising suspicion from the other Diamonds, Pink Diamond commissions the creation of Ambers, a new cut of Gem specializing in organic preservation, claiming they're meant to work at the human zoo; Rose ends up recruiting most of the Ambers to her cause
Over 5,300 Years Ago
Lapis Lazuli arrives on Earth to visit for a short time and is caught mid-war and poofed by a Bismuth-type warrior Gem
Lapis Lazuli is then collected by a Homeworld soldier and was mistaken for a rebel. She is imprisoned in a mirror to be used as a source of information
Over 5,000 Years Ago
The Beta Kindergarten is established mid-way through the Rebellion in haste to create more troops; Jasper is created among these troops
Bismuth presents Rose with the Breaking Point, a weapon designed to shatter Gems, specifically the Diamonds. Disagreeing, Rose poofed and bubbled Bismuth (upon Bill's suggestion), later storing her in Lion's pocket dimension
Pearl presents her worries about Bill to Rose; Rose attempts to contact Bill to set things straight but he refuses to answer her for unknown reasons; Realizing they're on their own, Rose and Pearl develop a last-ditch plan to save the earth
Pink Diamond and Pearl plan a ruse to stage Pink Diamond's shattering. Pearl, shapeshifted into Rose Quartz, "shatters" Pink Diamond by poofing her after she has swallowed fake gem shards
From then on, Pink Diamond permanently identifies herself as Rose Quartz and continues leading the Crystal Gems in the Rebellion
In grief over Pink Diamond's 'shattering' the remaining Diamond Authority makes a deal with Bill Cipher to get revenge on the Crystal Gems and the Earth
Homeworld officially enters Era 2
White, knowing Pink is Rose Quartz, makes a separate deal with Bill to return Pink's gemstone to Homeworld so she can be (spoiler)
Earth is deemed an unviable colony by Homeworld, commencing Forced Fusion experiments using the gemstone shards of fallen Crystal Gems; The Cluster is embedded in the Earth's core at some point as part of these experiments
Blue Diamond takes over Pink Diamond's Zoo in her absence
During a battle between Rose and Hessonite, the Light Prism is lost
Over 4,500 Years Ago
Homeworld Gems are commanded to evacuate Earth
Lapis Lazuli's mirror is abandoned at the Galaxy Warp and her gemstone is trampled over and cracked during the evacuation. Many Homeworld Gems such as Centipeetle get left behind
A flash of light is set off by the Diamonds, corrupting all Gems caught in it; The only known Gems who were unaffected are Pink Diamond/Rose Quartz, Pearl, Garnet, Bismuth, and Lapis Lazuli
Following the corrupting light, Rose begs Bill to restore the corrupted Crystal Gems; Bill rebuffs her, however, claiming that his true intentions were to drive Gems off of Earth so he could take it for himself as their "relationship" officially comes to an end
Bill changes the conditions of his deal with Rose and desires her gemstone as payment for his "services" during the war; Rose refuses to give it to him and Bill retreats for the time being, promising that he will return to take what's his eventually
The Galaxy Warp becomes inactive
Unknown
Era 2 of Gem production begins on Homeworld
Jasper is transferred to Yellow's court
Amethyst is found in the Prime Kindergarten and joins the Crystal Gems
Unnatural anomalies and strange creatures begin to congregate in the area that would become Gravity Falls
Peridot is formed and receives her limb enhancers on Homeworld
Pearl finds Lapis Lazuli's mirror at the Galaxy Warp and stores it in her Gem
Rose and Bill continue to encounter each other throughout the centuries, opposing each other each time they do
1000 AD
Bill attempts to trick a shaman named Modoc the Wise into building a portal between the Nightmare Realm and the Earth, though their deal falls through when Modoc prophesies an apocalyptic event involving Bill
Gravity Falls' native population evacuates the valley under fear of the land being cursed following contact with Bill Cipher, leaving pottery, blankets, and remnants of their language behind
19th Century
1837
Quentin Trembley wins the 9th Presidential Election of the United States in a literal landslide. However, his many silly and embarrassing policies lead him to be forced out of office, and William Henry Harrison is declared the 9th president of the United States
1842
8½th United States President Quentin Trembley discovers the valley of Gravity Falls and subsequently founds the town
1843
Drawn to the valley due to its odd properties, the Crystal Gems arrive in Gravity Falls and begin to investigate its anomalies
The Crystal Gems construct the Gem Temple near the Floating Cliffs
1859
Pioneer William Dewey and the settlers accompanying him on the Oregon Trail to Gravity Falls are rescued from a gem monster by the Crystal Gems; however, Dewey is falsely hailed as the town hero due to a misunderstanding
1862
In order to cover up the fact that President Trembley founded Gravity Falls (after he freezes himself in peanut brittle), Nathaniel Northwest deemed the founder of Gravity Falls and William Dewey is dubbed its first official mayor
Nathaniel Northwest tricks the lumberjacks of Gravity Falls into building Northwest Manor of the false promise of allowing them into their annual party; they contract the Crystal Gems to help oversee the safety of the project
1863
The first Northwest Party takes place, however Nathaniel Northwest breaks his promise and locks the townsfolk out; the Crystal Gems attempt to intervene over this injustice but are ultimately too late; the lead lumberjack is killed in the ensuing Great Flood of 1863 and vows revenge against the Northwests in his final breath

relationship hcs ; yellow diamond
Tumblr media
requested by ; anonymous (24/04/23)
fandom(s) ; steven universe
fandom masterlist(s) ; here
character(s) ; yellow diamond
outline ; “hey since you did relationship hcs for white diamond could you do some for yellow and blue too :D? (separately) love your works!^^”
warning(s) ; none, just fluff!
as far as being in an equal relationship goes, yellow diamond is extremely out of her element — she’s used to being in a position of distinct hierarchical authority, and only having one person who she truly sees is on an equal level to herself, and that mentality does cause a lot of conflict early on in your relationship
she takes care of you, of course, and always makes sure that you’re well tended to and have everything you could possibly want or need — making use of her countless colonies and underlings to ensure that this is the case, making sure that you’re worshipped and respected as an authority figure in the same way that she is
but yellow diamond is also quite emotionally distant and dismissive at times because of how busy she is, and unless you express a need for intimacy and affection to her then she’s not going to realise that you feel neglected — but even then it’s incredibly forced and stiff as she’s just not used to being physically or verbally affectionate with you, or anyone, quite yet (just give her some time, she’ll grow to love it)
if anyone dares to disrespect you or offend you in anyway then yellow will be swift to punish them for it — either poofing or outright cracking their gem, or sending them to trial to find a ‘better’ punishment if you’re less fond of execution
she doesn’t use any pet names with you and generally just calls you by your first name (or, maybe, a slightly shortened version of it), but if you insist on calling her a term of endearment then she’d probably prefer something that sounds more formal — think ‘my diamond’ but more affectionate, like ‘my dear’ or ‘my beloved’
she’s terrified of losing you as she did pink, which makes her extremely protective over you — refusing to let you leave her sight (whether that’s in her room on home world, in her palanquin when she’s on a colony, in her ship, etc) and having you accompanied by a large collection of amethyst and jasper guards wherever you go if she’s too busy to physically accompany you herself (she cannot lose another person she cares about; losing you would destroy her)
whenever you’re making a public appearance she makes sure that your outfit is spotless — having her servants dress you in her colours and in clothes that are as practical as they are formal — and that you’re mentally prepared for everything that is expected of you well in advance (memorising dances, practising posture and poses, mastering the perfect acknowledging smile and polite nod, etc.) so that there’s no chance of either of you being looked down upon
you’re the only person aside from pink diamond who has ever been able to make her laugh — and you’re also the only one who gets to see the ‘imperfections’ that she hides from the other diamonds and their subjects, such as her sense of humour and her insecurities about her place in the gem empire
no matter how busy she is, she refuses to move whenever you fall asleep on her — taking her calls wherever she is and working around you, instructing whoever she’s talking with to stay quiet as she doesn’t want to wake you (she thinks you’re so very adorable like that and she doesn’t have the heart to disturb your sleep)
she’d get you your own pearl, or an entire gem entourage, if you asked — making sure that you got only the best cut of each because you deserve only the best — but in the meantime yellow pearl is more than happy to entertain you when her diamond is working, and in fact you’ll likely end up getting along quite well as your relationship with yellow diamond progresses

Hi you're an amazing writer may I request white diamond x pearl reader? 💖
Well, this can only ever go one way, I hope you like my take though ^^
Yandere! White Diamond with Pearl! Darling
Pre-Era 3
Short Concept
Pairing: Romantic/Platonic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Manipulation, Brainwashing, Moral conflict, Obsession, Implied jealousy, Social structures.
Tumblr media
Well, we’ve all seen what she did with Pink’s first pearl, right?
Pearls are meant to be servants in the caste system of Gem culture.
You don’t really have much of a say who gets to keep you on Homeworld.
If White feels she wants you as hers for whatever reason, she can have you.
Who are you to refuse?
White’s the diamond most in power, while you’re just a regular old pearl.
If she did have a pearl darling, to keep things interesting she wouldn’t use her powers on you at first.
She starts really calm and patient with you, when she first has you under her rule she just treats you like any old diamond.
Honestly, with the eerie demeanor of the pearl she already had under her, you’d probably already wish to do all you can to keep her happy.
There’s… just something odd about her.
The room you spend most of your time in is filled with monotone colors, a blinding white everywhere you look.
It’s also the way she talks that’s just so strange.
You know your place and don’t question it but it does creep you out.
Even more so when the first few encounters you had with her were through Pink’s old pearl.
It isn’t until later on in her obsession does she eventually summon you to her ship.
She’d be the type to try and make sure the little attachment she has for you is perfect.
Again, love is a strange concept for Gems in their culture, it isn’t often expressed.
Much less between a lowly pearl and a regal diamond.
You’re so confused and scared when THE White Diamond starts wanting you to listen to her for orders.
You!?
What did YOU do!?
White normally is really reclusive, rarely talking to anyone now after the whole Pink incident before Era 3.
White would try her best to be patient with you at first, wanting you to be perfect for her without having to remove what makes you yourself.
Your behavior makes her feel imperfect, how your personality draws her to you makes her scared.
Her obsession would worry her as she is supposed to be perfect for her people.
Her strange affections towards you makes her feel different, she both hates it but is curious about it.
This is why she wants to keep you, treasure you like a pearl of her own.
She doesn’t want you to end up like Pink’s pearl due to her power, yet…
Unfortunately such a fate is inevitable before Era 3 as a pearl.
Her obsession makes the diamond so conflicted to the point she feels she has to rid herself of it.
She doesn’t want to get rid of you, however.
She can embrace this feeling in a different way.
She doesn’t have to change, she just needs to make you obedient and perfect.
Once you're perfect, then this little connection between you will finally feel right.
It’s upsetting when you lose all your color, going monotone and under her command.
You lose your individuality and become a puppet for her to keep.
One that listens to her every command, at this point you’re part of her now.
She feels this way she will stay perfect while keeping you, the pearl of her affections.
She feels good about the fact she now has you to herself, that you’re now a part of her perfect fantasy.
While it would’ve been nice to keep your unique color and behavior, it was too much for her.
She wanted to keep you, but not as you.
While her obsession feels a bit more dull now… she feels relieved and happy it’s all over with.
She has nothing to worry about if you’re just like her and under her control.

lines from "chemical kids and mechanical brides" - pierce the veil
I’m a chemical kid, you’re a mechanical bride
Sam about Dean, whom John treats like his obligatory bride, like Mary, raising his son for him, cleaning up his messes.
“Chemical kid,” the perfect term for how Sam sees himself compared to Dean, the mechanical bride, the perfect soldier. Dean, who effortlessly falls in line with their father’s orders, tends to his wants and needs as part of the harmony of a nuclear marriage. All the while Sam stumbles along, never quite understanding the mission, the goal. Always a half-step out of place, always questioning things in a way he can’t help, left at a disadvantage without the coercive devotion of a father-husband to guide his hand.
Just a chemical kid left in the back seat, left in the dark; a rough acid mixture scrambled together from a vat of molecules, all collectively disjointed and not quite right. Sam, the chemical kid who has a brother and a drill sergeant posing as his mother and father together in the front seat.
I held a diamond to the sun, to count the moments on account of the way you smile for me.
Oh, we’re in slow motion when you smile, for me.
As a kid, Sam falls in puppy love with Dean, not yet disillusioned to big brother’s imperfections. As far as Sam is concerned, Dean is the perfect, all-American boy next door. Sam doesn’t see him smoking, doesn’t see big brother make pretty, too-young girls squirm from his attention, at their father’s behest. Can’t yet recognize the smell of spirits on his breath, doesn’t know what that means.
I still hold your breath so you won’t leave
Then comes the break, the beginning of the end. Sam starts to make the connection between the smell on Dean’s breath and the sloppy way he talks when that smell is around. Connecting it to the same smell that’s sometimes on John’s breath - usually better hidden, he learns - and to the always too-quickly diminishing supply of “disinfectant” in the med kit.
He makes those connections and he panics and starts to grip tighter to his brother-boyfriend, not realizing that his devotion, that his cloying behavior is what’s breaking Dean’s heart in the first place. Doesn’t realize it’s driving him to desperately try and snap Sam out of that puppy-love, entirely sickening in the way it makes Dean feel far too much like their father, like Dean’s husband.
Dean tries wretchedly to keep Sam from the fate of becoming a mechanical bride to his brother, one that Dean never asked for but one that he knows he would selfishly never be able to let go, once it happened, once the marriage vows solidified.
Pastel red and pornstar white,
Ghost on the altar.
We breathe, don’t leave.
The eternal chorus of their combined lives. Breathing to each other in the dark, unacknowledged, “Don’t leave.”
If there’s a God then I’m letting Him go, all for you, you alone.
Raise my hands at the thought of you leaving me alone,
What if I… What if I… What if I, I still care?
All too soon, Sam grows up and realizes that Dean knows, at least a little bit. Realizes that it’s killing him. So Sam tries, for Dean’s sake, to move on, to stop breaking his brother’s heart with the curse of his little brother’s horrific love and affection.
But it doesn’t work.
Sam knows it’s wrong, to love Dean, to love his mother, this way. To crave the taste of his breath in the morning. To yearn for the knowledge of what his name sounds like leaving his brother’s breathless lips in the dark. He knows he needs to let go. He tries praying, tries distancing himself in the exact opposite way to how Dean does it, so they don’t run into each other. He throws himself into a private, secret faith, into schoolwork, into bettering himself - trying to purify his body, trying to cleanse it.
But it doesn’t work, of course. It doesn’t work.
And his efforts make his heart break so violently he’s ill with it, entirely sure in the knowledge that it’s killing him. And he knows that, beyond anything, that would kill Dean, for good, so he knows he has to avoid it at all costs. He tells himself that he’s not biased in that decision.
He keeps up his new habits - because it seems to make Dean secretly happy to see his rebellious normality, and that’s the goal, after all. But privately, in the dark, away from the prying eyes of the divine fraternal, he admits that he’s giving up on stifling his devotion. He stops pretending he doesn’t feel that arm-raising panic every time Dean walks out the door to go to the bar, leaving him all alone, and he stops pretending he doesn’t still care.
And he stops pretending that it doesn’t feel like infidelity when Dean comes home with the drugstore lipstick stains of some two-bit whore all over him. Finally stops pretending that Dean coming home, drunkenly (and mistakenly, surely) falling asleep in Sam’s bed while smelling like whiskey, sweat, and sex doesn’t have Sam jacking off furiously at every opportunity for days afterward.
As you fall fast asleep, it reminds me of the slow symphonies behind me, all the nightmares you’ll see, tomorrow.
Through the trees, I’ll blow.
But then it’s noon, and that means Sam’s inconsolable. It’s noon at midnight, with a Greyhound bus hurtling towards the no-name town they currently reside in, 4 hours out. Sam already bought a ticket.
It’s noon at midnight, and Sam watches as Dean falls fast asleep, reminding Sam of the slow symphonies of love, far behind him now. He thinks of the nightmares he knows Dean will see tomorrow after he wakes up to find all of Sam and all of his stuff missing. He thinks of how Dean will frantically search for him, of how he’ll find the note Sam’s gonna leave on the bathroom mirror.
Thinks of how Dean’s gonna find out about the ultimatum John gave Sam in a fight they had all too recently, on one of the rare afternoons they were both in the motel and Dean wasn’t. Thinks of how John will tell him, once Dean cries hard enough; always a big, tough marine until he sees the teary-eyed likeness of his dead wife pasted onto the face of his eldest son. Crumpling fiercely, fervently in the face of Mary-Dean’s grief, betraying the vow of silence Sam had twisted out of him that afternoon in an instant.
But that’s okay, Sam thinks as Dean’s breaths gently even out. That’s okay because, by the time that coerced vow is broken, Sam will be long gone, less tangible than a wisp of wind blowing through the trees.

Steven Universe jumpscare. Actually my roots in drawing humans is from SU, making my own gem ocs. And Green Diamond is from my au that has been on the back burner in my head. I've forgotten a lot of details of what I thought about them back then (what was it. 5 years ago?) so have all new ramble.
She's about the size of White Diamond and can fit Pink Diamond on her hand. I think as a combination of Yellow and Blue their traits balances each other, being able to better manage her time better than "cry all day" and "work without pause" as well as being able to calm herself down from acting hastily. Though despite the appearance of being put together she is actually their emotions x2 inwardly.
The story is an excuse for me to draw Green Diamond more <3 The current idea is that Blue and Yellow fused on accident as Pink challenges them to "fun dancing", much to the latter's delight and the formers horror. But with the idea they can and it felt good it keeps looming over them and eventually curiosity gets the better than them. Deciding to experiment with fusion with encouragement from Pink. And like at first they with the excuse that Green Diamond is more efficient way of working but it changes with time it feels better to be together than to be apart.
Which all goes well until White Diamond is informed and gives them an ultimatum: Never fuse again or stay a fusion permanently. She 'understands' that they are flawed, imperfect, and could only be close to her perfection through something as primative as fusion. And so they have a choice, be apart or be a singular Diamond. In the end, as as the au's name is named after Green Diamond you can probably guess the answer.
How does this effect the rest of the plot? Well it does change things though because Green Diamond having the massive complex about being what she is and her relationship to Pink Diamond being complicated means that it doesn't change things enough to change the main beats of the canon story (rebellion, Pink's 'death', corruption, Steven).

i do have a question, not to attack your beliefs at all, but please could you elaborate on how you think rebecca sugar is attacking christianity? I read your post and I really don't think you're correct in thinking she's equating religion to an evil space dictator she made in her kids show.
White diamond is a powerful figure who can create beings, yes, but she also is imperfect. She is controlling and manipulative and unable to see anyone else as equal or even able to begin to measure up to her. God isn't anything like that. He is mostly seen (though it varies person to person) as a perfect all knowing, all seeing figure who created the entire universe in his image and has a plan for everything. White Diamond certainly isn't all seeing, all knowing and as far as we know the only thing she created was the other gems, most likely from the resources of the planets around her. Putting aside all of the LGBTQ+ things for a moment, and going off the basis that you're equating her and god, and that it was meant to mirror the real world, wouldn't it also make sense for the rest of the characters to then say Oh my diamond or something of that nature? It's a minor detail but instead they say oh my stars.
And with the LGBTQ+ portion of this, I don't think your opinion's going to be swayed by anything I say, but I can provide some possible perspective or insight. In steven universe there is a lot of LGBTQ+ representation, yes, especially for a children's show where that isn't widely accepted at all and they had to work very hard to include it at all. If you believe God has a plan for everything, then wouldn't it be impossible to go against Him and His will? And if that isn't what you believe, and that we can go against God, or that he's testing us to be able to go to heaven, do you think only people that believe in Him will go to heaven? There are plenty of LGBTQ+ people who believe in god.
You could make the argument that they're picking and choosing which parts of the bible they follow, isn't that exactly what you're doing as well? He not only said to love thy neighbors, do unto others as they will do unto you, but i might add that eating shrimp is mentioned as a sin about 12 more times in the bible than homosexuality is. There is slavery and rape and genocide in the bible as well, but i really hope you aren't following those parts.
(I do not mean any of what i said to be disrespectful to you or your religion/beliefs, just here to put in my 2 cents)
I don't think you can declare the fundamental message of Steven Universe--(which is, generally "your flaws are what make you incredible, you're perfect the way you are, and if you want to change yourself into something you like more, that's even better")--without attacking the fundamental beliefs of Christianity, and what God says, and who He is. (I made those points in my previous post.)
In Steven Universe, flaws are defined as "anything you do that deviates from what you were made for." Pearl is considered "flawed" by the bad guys, and by the "wrong" way of thinking, because she has no aristocrat she's serving. Garnet is considered "flawed" because she's a forbidden fusion of a Sapphire and Ruby who aren't doing their jobs. Amethyst is considered "flawed" because she came out of the ground undercooked and small and doesn't fight as well as other quartzes. But Homeworld (the bad guys, who the narrative call "wrong" are depicted as incorrect for believing that those are flaws. But, deeper than that, you have to realize that it's White Diamond who made them (with her injectors.)
White Diamond dictated what they were made for, and that they were made at all. Just like God. But she's "wrong" for believing that in the narrative, and "wrong" for trying to tell gems who they are (because supposedly they're the only ones who get to decide who they are, and they call it "freedom.")
Now, it is true that God is flawless and perfect. He makes no mistakes and has nothing to learn because He's all-knowing and always right. But that's why it's so clear that Steven Universe is against the God if the Bible. They acknowledge who Christians claim God is by setting up White Diamond (who goes on and on about how perfect she is, how she can make everyone else perfect by shining her light through them, and how she can return them to the function they were made for.) and then, after they acknowledge that by setting her up, they knock her down. And in doing so, they attempt to knock the Christian view of God down.
By having their God-parallel character suddenly have flaws, like all the main characters, she can both be proved wrong about her perfection philosophy, and be regulated to human status. "If God thinks we need saving from our flaws and wants to erase Nything that doesn't line up with His original purpose for us, He's wrong. And if He's wrong, He's flawed, too! After all, God is no higher than us."
And like I said, that philosophy, that mischaracterization of God, is exactly what the serpent said to Eve at the beginning of the world. Same old lie. They set up a God-like character, made her perfection a bad thing, and then punished her for it--and then regulated The God-like character to "no better or more in authority than us."
Now, about what you're saying about Christians and the characterization of the God of the Bible--
God loves us. That does not mean He loves the things we do that are wrong. Just like parents (imperfect examples though they are) love us in spite of the fact that we scream hurtful things at them when we're teenagers, and in spite of the mistakes we made. They don't love our mistakes and our flaws--they love us. God doesn't love your flaws--He loves you.
And, he has to punish sin. Because He's just and perfect--and at the same time, He's loving. If someone broke into your house and raped your spouse and killed your dog and stole your most valuable possessions, they caught him, and he appeared before a judge, would the judge be just and good to say, "I know you did all those things, but I'm a loving judge, so I'm going to let you go free with no punishment?" No. He'd be a terrible judge, and actually, an unloving one, too, because it's not loving to the victim of the sin or the committer of the sin to ignore the reality of the sin without punishment.
But God does love us, in spite of our flaws, sin, the fact that we committed cosmic treason: and you can tell because He punished His Son, Jesus, instead of us. And Jesus took that punishment that we deserved, willingly, so that what's broken in us can be restored, and more importantly, our relationship with God can be restored. That's what the Bible teaches: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16.) The Bible also teaches love in the context of what God defines as love. When you "do unto others as you would want done to you," the idea is that you want what's actually best for yourself. And what's actually best for yourself is not always what you feel like having. If you feel like touching the hot stove, that's not what's best for you; you'll get burned. If you feel like being sexually intimate with someone of the same sex, (or even someone of the opposite sex who isn't going to put your relationship with God first) that's not what's best for you; you're doing a twisted version of the good thing (sex) God made you to enjoy, and it'll lead to brokenness. So when you say "do unto others as you would have done to you," you have to remember the context.
It's Jesus speaking, and He finished the sentence with: "for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." Well, the Law (Leviticus, Deuteronomy,) condemns homosexuality. So the context dictates that the Golden Rule is not just "leave others alone about what makes them happy, just like you want others to leave you alone about what makes you happy."

Perhaps you are immortal, eternal. But even forever has youth.
tldr; extended, more literature-themed version below the cut!
White diamond, the result of a comet striking the life-filled planet homeworld prime used to be. she drained the planet of its resources and emerged into a nearly dead world, seeing the end of multicelled organisms.
this is her form before splitting off pieces of her that became yellow, blue and pink diamond. yellow and blue each have a clawed hand (the hand that gives off their power!) which is a piece of white diamond herself, hence the lighter color.
white diamond LOVES catergories and organization. she is always seeking to make things better, and for her, the easiest way for that to happen is for everyone to do what they are made to do so she can sit at the top and make the plans for everyone else to follow.
white diamond hates unpredicability. she makes exceptions for the other diamonds sometimes, as they are naturally the flawed pieces of her, but she does have a limit, such as when she banned blue from homeworld prime. now the diamonds seem to scare themselves into obedience without her interference.
when white split herself, she also rendered her essence and physical form weak. she can still create gems at a highly diminished rate but they are extremely fragile. homeworld prime now contains her entire court, now a gargantuan lab dedicated to the progression of technology. most white gems we see in the show are created with the essence of yellow and blue combined with whites; white does not consider these in her court.
she was extraordinary. she could create life at her fingertips, dozens and hundreds if she so chose, but they were imperfect, unorganized. no two were ever the same, an amalgamation of colors and shapes in her eight eyes. at first she blamed the dirt.
but the dirt gave birth to her, did it not? and it did not take long to come to the conclusion that she had, in fact, not been born a paragon, the epitome of perfection. she did things, felt things, wanted things she did not desire. how ugly.
you see, at her core, she loved to catergorize, she loved to sort and put everything into their neat boxes, each item easily identifiable, different, but not among the others in their box. these emotions, these wants and actions did not belong in the same box. she split herself, irreversibly, three times exactly. those parts she did not want, those colors she did not need.
purification came at the cost of pieces of her physical form. but she was pure, and she was logical, and she no longer had any feelings marring her judgement, no impulse, no wants other than to spread her perfection.
and so while her castoffs incubated in that imperfect dirt, forgotten, white finally tried again, this time with success, to create those smaller, lesser beings, in their neat boxes, identical to each other. each snow white, fragile as glass, frail as the life that this planet once supported.
purification, it seems, also stole her essence.

Diamond Stud Earrings 101: Tips for Finding Your Perfect Pair
Discover the ultimate guide to buying diamond stud earrings. Learn about size, shape, metal settings, and the 4 Cs to find your perfect pair of diamond studs.
Tumblr media
Diamond stud earrings are the little black dress of the jewelry world, a timeless accessory that instantly adds elegance and sophistication to any look. Whether you're getting ready for a glamorous night out or just want to bring a bit of sparkle to your everyday style, these earrings are your go-to. Known for their simplicity, diamond stud earrings for women can effortlessly elevate any outfit. They hold the unique ability to complement other jewelry pieces without clashing. Pair them with a necklace, bracelet, or even a statement ring, and they’ll still shine without overshadowing your other accessories. With so many options available, picking the perfect pair might seem like a daunting task. But don’t worry; we’ve got you covered!
The 4 Cs of Diamonds
Before diving into the world of diamond stud earrings, it's essential to understand the 4 Cs of diamonds: Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat. These are the four key factors that determine the quality and value of a diamond. Here’s a brief overview:
Cut: The cut of a diamond determines how well it reflects light, making it sparkle. A well-cut diamond will have a brilliant shine, while a poorly cut diamond may appear dull.
Color: Diamonds come in various shades, from colorless to slightly yellow. The less color a diamond possesses, the greater its value. Most diamond earrings use diamonds with a color grade ranging from D (colorless) to J (slight yellow tint).
Clarity: Clarity refers to the presence of blemishes or inclusions within the diamond. The fewer imperfections a diamond has, the clearer and more valuable it will be.
Carat: Carat is the weight of the diamond. Larger diamonds are rarer and therefore more valuable. However, a diamond's cut can also make it appear larger or smaller than its actual carat weight.
Choosing the Perfect Size for Your Diamond Stud Earrings
Size matters when it comes to diamond stud earrings for women. The size you choose should complement your face shape and personal style. Here are some tips:
Petite Faces: If you have a smaller face, consider opting for diamonds that are around 0.25 to 0.50 carats. These sizes will add just the right amount of sparkle without overwhelming your features. Check this.
Medium Faces: For those with medium-sized faces, diamonds ranging from 0.50 to 1 carat are perfect. They offer a balanced look that’s elegant yet noticeable. Check this.
Larger Faces: If you have a larger face or simply love a bolder look, go for diamonds that are 1 carat or more. These will stand out and make a statement. Check this.
Selecting the Right Shape
The shape of your diamond stud earrings can significantly impact their overall look. While round brilliant-cut diamonds are the most popular due to their maximum sparkle, other shapes offer unique and stunning aesthetics:
Round: The classic and most popular choice, offering maximum brilliance and versatility.
Princess: A square-shaped diamond that gives a modern and sophisticated look.
Oval: Offers a more elongated appearance, flattering for most face shapes.
Cushion: A square shape with rounded corners, combining vintage charm with modern elegance.
Marquise: An elongated shape with pointed ends, ideal for a unique and bold statement.
Metal Settings: More Than Just a Frame
The metal setting of your diamond stud earrings can enhance the beauty of the diamonds and complement your skin tone. Popular choices include:
White Gold: Provides a sleek, contemporary look that enhances the diamond’s sparkle. Ideal for those who prefer a modern touch.
Yellow Gold: A timeless choice that offers a warm, classic feel. It pairs beautifully with traditional outfits and other gold jewellery.
Rose Gold: Perfect for those who want a romantic and trendy look. Its pinkish hue adds a soft, feminine touch to the earrings.
Platinum: The most durable and hypoallergenic option, platinum offers a luxurious and elegant appeal. It’s perfect for those who want a piece of jewellery that will last a lifetime..
Budgeting for Your Diamond Stud Earrings
One of the biggest considerations when buying diamond stud earrings is your budget. Here are some helpful tips to consider:
Set a Realistic Budget: Know how much you're willing to spend before shopping. This will allow you to narrow down your choices and get the most value for your money.
Prioritize What Matters: If maximizing sparkle is your goal, allocate more of your budget to the cut quality. If size is important, consider choosing diamonds with a slightly lower color grade to get a larger stone within your budget.
Consider Lab-Grown Diamonds: For a more budget-friendly and eco-conscious option, consider lab-grown diamond stud earrings. They offer the same brilliance and beauty as natural diamonds but at a fraction of the price.
Finding Your Perfect Pair of Diamond Studs
Buying the perfect pair of diamond stud earrings doesn’t have to be complicated. By understanding the key factors like the 4 Cs, size, shape, and metal settings, you can find earrings that complement your style and enhance your look. Whether you’re looking for diamond stud earrings for women as a gift or to treat yourself, these timeless pieces are a valuable addition to any jewellery collection. Remember, it’s not just about the sparkle; it’s about finding earrings that make you feel confident and beautiful every time you wear them. Whether for a special occasion or everyday glam, find the perfect pair to make your statement. Visit Jewelbox’s store or shop online today!
FAQ What are the benefits of choosing lab-grown diamonds over natural diamonds for stud earrings?
Lab-grown diamonds offer the same sparkle and durability as natural diamonds but are more affordable and eco-friendly. They are created using technology that mimics natural diamond formation, making them a sustainable and ethical choice. How does the cut of a diamond affect its appearance in stud earrings?
The cut of a diamond influences its brilliance and sparkle. A well-cut diamond reflects light better and appears more radiant. Opting for high-cut quality will ensure your studs have maximum shine. What should I look for to ensure I get the best value for my budget when buying diamond stud earrings? Set a realistic budget and prioritize the 4 Cs—cut, color, clarity, and carat. If size is important, you might choose diamonds with a slightly lower color grade to maximize carat weight within your budget. Consider lab-grown diamonds for a more affordable option.

us state flag tierlist by how urgent the need to change them is
(not necessarily by objective quality, although they are ordered by my own personal preference within the tiers)
Tumblr media
yeah everyone and their cunt’s done a tierlist of how good the us state flags are, but here’s one that’s more useful imo - how much they need to change. ie, how far up the statehouse’s agenda changing the shitass flag should be
the ‘perfect’ flags shouldn’t ever change. yeah, alabama’s good, i said it - it’s iconic and recognisable. and yeah colorado might be cheesy but it’s american cheese, it’s an icon. and arizona is the best flag do not @ me
‘ain’t broke don’t fix it’ means you can start nitpicking the flag, but honestly, nobody cares and there’s no point in changing. alaska and indiana are here because their mute colours hold back their excellent designs. california’s here because the bear should probably be bigger and have a different face. utah and mrs sippy’s new flags are both here because they’ve got the same problem - they’ve both chosen really horrible dark blues, honestly so bad that they should be in lower tiers, but they changed them too recently so they should stick for a while, until people get used to the, yeah, iconic and recognisable new designs. a placeholder for minnesota is here too, based offa the six finalist designs released on tuesday, because any of them would probably end up in that spot - imperfect but relatively good
‘minor tweaks maybe’ is where the nitpicks start becoming flaws and the good designs could be made perfect very easily. hawai’i doesn’t need the british canton, it just doesn’t. wyoming doesn’t need that seal inside the buffalo. and rhode island? well idk but it’s a bold design held back by, something. stew on it for a while
the final three tiers are the ones i believe should change. the first (non urgent) is for bad flags that remain somewhat distinct, and so are still managing to do their job - but could be had so much better. NC is ripping off texas. iowa and missouri are both overcomplicated and dull. and arkansas, ignoring the word ‘arkansas’ i’m definitely getting slavers’ rebellion vibes from it
the bottom two tiers unambiguously must change. ‘fairly urgent’ are the flags where there’s maybe one redeeming quality that sets the flag apart, and could be carried forward to the new one. LA’s pelican and OK’s osage shield are iconic, but they’re still a something-on-blue and need upgrading. florida is just alabama but with a seal, honestly pathetic and one of the list’s biggest tragedies. washington, yep, there he is, but it’s still just something on a plain background. i hesitated between putting delaware here or the tier below, but its boon is its recognisability with that yellowy diamond. then there’s georgia, probably the most controversial placement on the list. but yeah. that’s the fucking CSA flag. and the iconic state deserves so much better than just an undistinct crest on the slaver flag
and yeah the last category are where all the truly pathetic failures sit. the opening few have curious motifs that could be used for the new flag, like connecticut’s grapes, michigan’s elk and oregon’s 🅱️eaver. but they still suck utter pisswank, the distinguishing thing about them only becoming clear when you stop to look at it. the latter flags of the tier are fucking irredeemable trash. tell me you know which states those final four are when the picture’s zoomed out. it’s a fucking tragedy that new york the state is amongst the union’s worst, when the city’s iconic blue-and-orange could lend it so much inspiration (same could be said for IL being outshone by chicago). or if new york wants to make it distinct from the city, it could always look to old york shire’s iconic white rose. combine it with a tulip for old amsterdam and bam we’ve got a brilliant motif. i am honestly happy to call the vermontese flag the worst in the us, for a state with such history, with such a pronounced identity and spirit, how can it let itself have such horseshit. especially when the green mountain boys’ flag is such stupid, dumb brilliance. yeah, vermont is the worst because they should just change to the green flag end of story
BOUNS ROUND: provinces of canadada
perfect: la quebec
ain’t broke: sass, newfie & lab
tweak: nova scotia, new brunswick
non urgent: BC, PEI (both controversial picks ino, but they’re fuck ugly d@m)
change now: ontario, manitoba, albert

I feel like your Interpretation of god and white diamond from steven Universe are both very alike in their worst aspects, I do think it'd be interesting if god had the same mindset of "I created everyone and everything and that means im right about everything they are" that WD has as well as her "I am everyone and everyone is an extension of my light" mindset
i definitely do think of god as believing himself to be the moral center of the world as he created it - he can never be in the wrong because everything of the physical and metaphysical is his, it is a concept conceived by him and so imbued with him inherently. what he believes must be so, because what he thinks is what is real. it's along the same lines as the biblical concept of how you can give nothing to god, not in goods or in works, because he has made what you produce and he has given you all your gifts and talents you put toward service. his morality is true because it exists in his world, and all must abide by it because they are of him as well, all dreamed by him to be reality of his will alone. this, however, is a lonely way to exist, to create so much life yet to think of it always as yours, as you, as something that can be given or taken with a thought. nothing can be separate from him yet at the core of my conception of this god is his need to be loved, compelled by his emotions to create the perfect being that will love him of its own free will. this paradox is why he reacted so harshly to lucifer questioning his choices and his goodness - lucifer is directly of him, made of his own very own fire even before the birth of the universe, yet he did not share his morality...or perhaps, closer to the truth, he saw god had been mistaken in creating hell. god knows he did wrong and yet something in him still holds the hope that he is perfection, that he is immovable mover around which all rotates and so, even in his doubt, he believes his decision must be correct by the laws he made to govern his own universe. hell will work out. his work will always be good. but when that very piece of himself comes against him, voices the grave error he's made, it is too much. if he is imperfect, all he does is imperfect, he is flawed and his creations, all of himself, see it. the universe born of a flawed creator. so he must decide lucifer does not share his morals, does not understand his will or his works, a part of him but now something separate. and in lies his constant, cyclic tragedy - he needs to be loved by someone else, but any separation from himself is unbearable and must be excised from his sight. nothing will ever be enough, and he grows increasingly emotional in his regret in hell, in lucifer, in humanity, the rising litany of souls that are of him and despise him. so his grip tightens. he grows ever more demanding, ever more out of reach even to the angels. until his trinity can no longer hold.

SPOILER ALERT!!!
Steven universe info dump!
Lore in cronilogical order: long ago on a far away planet known as homeworld, four diamonds are formed. White diamond, yellow diamond, blue diamond and pink diamond. White diamond was the leader of all the gems. She strived for perfection, destroying anything she deemed imperfect. Pink diamond was the smallest diamond, all the others had countless planets under their rule, and she had none. She begged and begged for her own planet and White finally gave in and gave her earth. Pink was extatic about finally having her own planet. She was happy with this for a bit, but eventually she wanted even more. She got into a heated argument with the other diamonds, cracking her first pearl(known as pink pearl). She stormed off and the diamonds gave her a new pearl(the one in the show), she grew close with this pearl and started talking about her dreams of running away. She takes the disguise of rose quartz and starts sneaking off to earth with her pearl. She decides she's gonna fake her death and permanently take the form of rose quartz. Before running off she leaves her companion spinel in her garden under the guise of a game. She has her pearl asist in faking her death. She runs away and turns permanently into rose. On the way out they meet a newly formed garnet and convinced her to join the rebellion. They all run away to earth where they meet a newly formed amethyst and they take her on as well. Along the way somewhere, they meet bismuth. They gather even more gems on the way. They start the rebellions efforts on earth to keep it safe from the diamonds. I think it's around this time that the cluster is planted (the cluster is an amalgamation of shattered gem pieces artificially fused together.). Sometime around this Era, the diamonds start shattering rebellion members, even one event involving a beam of light that corrupts all gems it touches, causing casualties and both sides of the battle. Bismuth shows pink a weapon made for shattering diamonds, which she refuses to use. Bismuth gets violent when she refuses without explanation, thinking this could end everyone's suffering. Rose bubbles bismuth and tells everyone she was shattered. Eventually the rebellion loses to many people and the remaining members (garnet, amethyst, pearl and rose) move into hiding at the beach house. Rose met Greg at his less then successful concert. Slowly, to pearls dimay, they begin falling for each other. Eventually (don't think abt the logistics, it doesn't make sense) rose becomes pregnant with Steven. The gems all disagree with her decision but she gives up her physical form so Steven will live. The gems briefly kidnap Steven and Greg's van when he isn't looking and try to coax rose out of her gem (which is attached to steven). When that doesn't work pearl tries to remove the gem but baby Steven cries and she feels bad so she stops. Pearl finally accepts she isn't getting rose back and they give Steven and the van back to Greg. Steven spends the majority of his childhood with the gems as a van isn't the best place to raise a child. When Steven is 13 he goes on his first mission with the gems. Sometime around here steven meets Connie and they learn they can fuse. After that they go on even more missions and eventually the diamonds take notice. When they do notice they start attacking again. During all this pearl is training Steven and Connie to fight. Peridot arives to check the cluster, the gems catch her and find out about the cluster. Peridot eventually starts liking earth so she (reluctantly) agrees to help stop it from ending the world. Steven friendships the problem away. They eventually get kidnapped by the diamonds. Steven friendships REALLY HARD until pretty much everything is better. They go back to earth and the diamonds start fixing all the stuff they messed up. Steven and the gems start little homeworld aka how to gem without being terrible people 101. Steven and Connie grow up and have family etc etc. The end (sorry, I lost motivation like halfway through but I promised to finish it today.)
Random fun facts: kindergartens are a place where a bunch of materials to make gems are planted in the ground, gems hatch out of the ground in these places, not all gems are formed this way though. Gems are actually light projections, the only real Physical part is the gem itself.
Random pearl facts: her main wepon is a spear, she also enjoys ballet! she was sworn to secrecy by rose and no one but pearl knew about rose being pink diamond until years after Steven was born.
Sorry if any of this is incorrect or I missed something! This is all from memory.
