The Protagonist bout starts with Ohma getting laid flat on his face by Baki’s 0.5 second strike. I like how Cosmo is the only one to recognize how Ohma went down because Baki’s technique is literally just The Zone except with a strike instead of a grapple. Lotta those connections formed throughout the special. I liked the final battle's first half where Ohma starts pulling out his Niko style stuff and in response Baki digs into his own bag of tricks(using Goutaijutus to counter Adamatine Kata, whipstrike, Mach Punch, etc.) I hated how they started speed running it towards the end especially when Yujiro and Gensai unceremoniously show up but what can ya do?

Overall I’d give the OVA a super solid 7/10. It was exactly the fun I came here for but I do wish the animation were better. Probably gonna be saying that about Baki related things for a long while aren’t I?

She feels Aria's hand grab at hers and wrenches it free. Something about that incenses her, challenges something inside her that doesn't like to be challenged. Not anymore. But it's not that that bathes her mind and vision in a sea of red. It's what Aria says. Go sit somewhere and calm down. Don't make a scene. Before she can even drop her hand, before she can fully finish the breath following the last word, Autumn shakes Aria's hand off by lashing out with her own in a back-handed whipstrike of violent motion, It's untempered, and she feels the back of her hand swipe across Aria's face. She doesn't really stop to breath. "You fucking liar, you fucking lied to me and Morgan and everyone. You fucking ruined my fucking life. You should have just fucking killed me outside the bookstore or fucking LEFT ME ALONE." Her hands shake at her sides, and her breath is shaky inside her chest as gold fringes fade out of her eyes, but none of the anger, none of the hurt and the confusion and the shame and the humiliation of this leave. She feels outside of herself again - its unfamiliar and alien - she's so used to feeling locked up in her own head.

The words are like a slap to the face, and she reels back from it -- trying to snatch her arm out of Autumn's grip, but surprised when she's unable to. The Masquerade. She's - fuck.

She'd not so much forgotten as she had wanted to leave that behind - the memory of her being so lost in the call of blood that she'd very nearly ripped Autumn's arm from its socket when she'd fed.

She wants to shrink down into herself and apologize and maybe she will when she feels like she's in her right mind, but right now she's so overtaken by the idea that they should not be having this out right here, right now. They should talk about this when they're calm and collected and -- Aria feels sick. Had she taken advantage of her that night at Soleil.

She needs to -- she needs.. Aria takes the hand that's got a vice grip on her arm and forcibly removes it. "Go sit somewhere and calm down."
