On this day, 37 years ago, Mayhem released their debut EP, “Deathcrush”. This EP marked Mayhem's first commercial release.

The original pressing of “Deathcrush” was issued by Posercorpse Music and was limited to 1,000 hand-numbered copies. It included two inserts: a newsletter printed on green paper and a coupon/order form for a booklet that was intended to accompany the pressing.

The first edition featured a pressing error, which resulted in the sleeve color coming out pink instead of the intended red.
