It is kinda funny seeing people talk about Seungmin lately because he definitely has gotten more bold and confident for sure. He's also just getting opportunities to be perceived as an individual on his own as well for the first time in a while but it's still jarring to see people be like Aw he was always such a quiet goodie two shoes little nerd and it's like...... he was the one to leave and seek out his own vocal coach and blatantly talk about it, which of course lead to I.N and Lee Know also doing the same, he was the one to go on bubble and tell off sasaengs who used to camp outside their old dorm for invading members privacy but also because it effected other residents and staff at the complex, something that i'm certain upper management wouldnt have been happy about, and he wasn't curt or nice about it either. like he's never actually been a wallflower, he's always had a pretty strong backbone and seems to stick to his principals, its not really new.

The eminence, the majesty radiating off of it with the shimmers and rainbows, their poses, Emma in pants with a dashing coat and vest combo. I can even forgive the Ray-blue Norman-green color assignment given their respective roles of Cheshire Cat and Mad Hatter. Love seeing them older with a flair of youthful impishness.

also ok maybe had a weird little freak moment yesterday :/ i was with lydia and needed to eat my godawful shitass sushi before going to the library so anyway who do i spot but the roommate with some random guy naturally and im like lydia pause i need to be a stalker but so casually for just like a sec. (this is in a downstairs like cafe/hallway/elevators area) so i stall and then we go to check for a free room to sit in and when there r ppl in it we just go back near the cafe area and theyre over in this little. alcove. of a sitting area. lounging. and im so normal and rlly naturally glanced over a couple times hoping to god the guy didnt see me cause luckily roommate was faced away. anyway. but lydias screenaging it up so im just sitting there awkwardly. and i have to walk past them at one point to get soy sauce to drown the sushi in and maybe that made me look like a weird little stalker too. well again this is if the guy even knows who i am and prob not so whatever its like fine. but like yeah and then i def saw them getting up and then on the elevator to leave so i think my skittish little creature tendencies scared off the vibe from across the room even... and i didnt just wave like a normal person bc i wasnt sure they saw me but we've spotted each other at much greater distances there's simply no way. i was treating them like what the kids call an 'opp' kinda... me when im an anxious little beast...

my autistic ass avoided watching the x-files because i knew it would consume me....

& now here i am fully consumed even though I've only watched the first few handful of episodes of s1 (i'm regaining spoons needed for media consumption), but let me tell you w h a t!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was so excited i started crying because it combines unbridled pining, a skeptic & her believer husband partner, true crime, weird mythology, aliens (which i already knew abt obvi), unlikely besties who are prepared to square up at all times (re; scully being cold towards the agents mocking mulder & mulder being ready to fight g o d whenever anything happens to scully).

i just love the show a lot & i expected this but goddamn!!!!!! it's wormed into my spin category & now my alien spin is returning along with my 'unexplained happenings spin!!!!! i'm being consumed i tell you!!!!

(´∀｀)♡ oooh good question! well my first love has always been literature—i read (and wrote!) like a maniac as a kid—so i always consider film (and screenwriting) my second love. i developed my love for film when i was 15 years old, in my high school film class! idk it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what draws me towards film because i love every single aspect of it, but i think one of the big reasons i love it is because it combines multiple art forms (same can be argued for video games! and theatre to a lesser extent); writing, photography (cinematography; framing, shot scale, camera movement, camera angle, blocking, lenses, etc), acting, music, illustration if it’s an animated film, editing in and of itself is an art (the shots + takes chosen, the way they are specifically arranged, the duration of them, the transitions, the colour grading and colour correcting—all of this helps convey meaning in a particular way decided upon by the editor + the director), fashion + costume design, set design, etc etc the list goes on. and it all comes together in this beautiful way to not only create something new, but something that is such a collaborative art piece. you can technically make a film on your own, obv, especially if it’s an art or avant-garde film, but it’s quite hard to make a fully narrative film entirely on your own. you need other people and you need other people with expertise in all areas of art, and i think it’s so beautiful that these people will come together to create something! film in and of itself is a celebration of art in general, of art in all forms and types.

more specifically, i like screenwriting as a mode of storytelling because it more often than not focuses on the characters (character driven stories are my favourite type of stories); the characters tell us SO much even if the story is more plot driven than character driven, and the show don’t tell rule is heavy heavy heavy in film + screenwriting, especially since it’s a visual art. when you write for film, you are using almost solely dialogue (a few actions and directions but 90% or so is dialogue unless u write like wes anderson) to convey a story. that’s fucking hard, but it’s so rewarding when you get it right.
