In case you didn't understand that the Venatori are capable of controlling darkspawn now and are using them to do their bidding because of the elven gods Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain, the game made sure to repeat and explain this information multiple times in the short quest you learn this in!

I definitely love this pattern where Rook and co will discover information, talk to each other out loud about it, and then go talk to Viper and Tarquin about it in almost the exact same terms. The end of this quest has the player read notes explaining this info, listen to Rook and co talk to each other about it, tell the Viper about it, and then they tell the Viper and Tarquin about it.

Not pictured: Other instances in the game where Rook and co declare out loud that the Venatori are using darkspawn when the two of them show up onscreen. Blood of Arlathan and Act 3 in general come to mind.

she sat in the las Vegas hotel room in tears as she read through the comments about the latest TMZ article that, of course, had to do with her.

someone had filmed her and connor outside the bar last night as they waited for their Uber, and the video was quite interesting, to say the least.

it started off with the two of them drunkenly dancing around from the muffled bar music, obviously intoxicated, which seemed to cause a stir amongst the media, seeing as they were both underage and were supposed to be 'role models'. it only got worse because the two young adults seemed to forget they were in public and made out with each other against the wall a little later on into the video.

the comments were brutal, and she couldn't help but think she deserved every single one.

maybe it wouldn't have been such a big deal, but people still believed she was with ryan. they hadn't given anyone to believe they were over, they hadn't unfollowed each other or removed the pictures of each other from their social media, so it was understandable why the world thought she was a cheater.

she had definitely felt like one. her heart still belonged to ryan, but she was sure he would want nothing to do with her once he caught sight of the video.

she felt completely helpless, so she resorted to doing nothing but curl up into a ball and cry. wondering why the hell she was the way she was.

she was cut off from wallowing in self-pity when her manager, darcy, called. knowing it was going to be nothing but a scolding, she answered because she most likely had a solution.

"hello?" she answered a bit timidly.

"hello. I'm assuming you've seen the video, and I'm calling to tell you it's going to be fine. you were bound to have a scandal at some point; I'm just happy it isn't rehab yet. anyways, we have two choices, we can put out a statement on your behalf, or you unfollow and remove every picture of ryan from your feed," darcy rushed out.

"I don't- I don't want to do that," frankie said, feeling tears begin to sting her eyes. she felt like that would make the breakup so much more real, and she knew she wasn't ready to do that yet.

"I'm afraid you don't have a choice, honey. you're still on the rise, and a big scandal this early into your career won't go well. it's better to put out the fire before it gets bigger," darcy explained to her.

"I just feel like it will blow over if we, like, let it," Frankie said.

I really think I’m in a better place these days, and I owe it a lot to this stuff!

Mourning and grief! For a while I treated my lost sourcemates like lost friends who I’d likely never see again. It was really tough, but grief is a thing our system is unfortunately kinda used to by now >_< At the encouragement of my parts, therapist, and partner sys, I just gave myself time to mourn. Time to front and reminisce and cry and just be sad about it for a while. I really missed my friends, and I still do today! >_< We made a lot of memories together and a big part of who I am today I owe to them. I have my own little sketchbook/journal, and I wrote a lot about them, pressed flowers for them, and just let myself process my feelings. If I hadn’t ever been given the space to mourn properly, I’d still probably have a lot of pain in me that I wouldn’t know how to deal with or let go of! >_<

Also a liiiiittle bit of source separation! I’m still Ralsei, I still identify and connect with my source! I haven’t changed my name or appearance or anything like that. But I did have to detach myself from my source a bit in order to start feeling better about losing my sourcemates. For me, this meant just realizing that I am my own person, outside of my source! I am real and I exist, whereas my source and my sourcemates are just characters who are a part of someone else’s created world. I get to have agency and grow, develop, and make my own decisions. My source doesn’t get that - he’s just a character in a video game! For me, this helped a lot, because while my source memories still affect me and inform my life, the fact that I’m not literally my source makes it easier for me to give those memories less weight and instead focus on making connections in the real world, today! :33

I think he drinks it black usually, but you've gotten him to sway/experiment with his tastes a little here and there.) And he'll sit down on the bed next to where you're laying and discuss what each of you will be doing that day and how you're coming back to his place again tonight - because he said so.

There's a dumpster out back that the complex throws their trash away in, and it's become home to about 15 strays. He saves his table scraps for the "little beggars" when he has something tasty to eat (and by save his table scraps, I mean he saves his food for them to nibble on). He only recently told you about how he helps these kitties out. You think it's the sweetest thing for such a tough guy like him to do, and you know better than to make a big deal about it because he'd get embarrassed and then he and the cats would suffer. And there's enough suffering in the world. You also slip about 6,000 ¥ into his wallet and coats once every couple of weeks or so when he's not looking so you can help feed him AND the cats. You're a big softy for general wellbeing. He's always so surprised to find the money, "Oh what? Look what I found, hana! Shit, I'm lucky. The happy look on his face is so worth it for you because you know deep in your heart of hearts that he's thinking first of the cats and then he'll get whatever he can with anything left over.

idk if this is confirmed or if im insane but i feel like dan in his why i quit youtube video was talking about how he felt like there was Dan content and Dan And Phil content and how he felt like he was split between them....i wonder if hes trying both to see what he still likes to do. he had his internet show and now danandphilgamws is back like. i have a feeling he's trying to figure things out rn

i think dan ultimately wants to do his own thing and has a lot of ideas and aspirations, specifically he wants to be a stage comedian like his passion is clearly for live performances and while the comedy bit is still being fine tuned (i'm not saying he's bad, in fact he's kinda good ngl, but he definitely has a way to go if he wants to be Great) the performance part he's got DOWN like say what you want about that man but he ooowwwnnnsss a stage. also he's weirdly great at audience interaction lmao? that was my main takeaway from we're all doomed, both the pre show and the show itself, he deals with heckling like.. ultimately dan knows that if he wants to keep and potentially build an audience online that lies in Dan And Phil. it always has and it always will. and i think for a long time he struggled with that, and as much as people gave him shit for it i completely get it. like, lmao, of COURSE he wants to be recognised for his own abilities and not just the dynamic and chemistry he's got going with... his literal partner. honestly it would be one thing if dnp were just comedy partners because there are a lot of comedy duos on the world who've made it big, but i think there's something about it being him and his full time actual real life boyfriend/life partner that kinda makes it weird. and as much as i love the dnp dynamic i still do get that feeling so much like honestly who can blame him ?? if your entire professional life is just.. your personal life but on camera ? that's weird. it's gotta feel weird and it's definitely unfulfilling for someone as aspirational as dan and i can't blame him at all for it

that being said, dan clearly does really enjoy making videos with phil. which yeah of course he does, he gets to just turn on a camera and talk shit with the guy he talks shit with all day long anyway. and i think what he's now realised is 1. if he wants to keep/build an audience, the dan and phil branding is where it's at and 2. he needs an income while he works on whatever solo projects he's got going on, and dnp makes a loooot of money

basically my point is - dan seems to really enjoy making videos with phil but he knows that's not really a life long career choice. as much as i'd love them to, it's not really an option for them to be playing sims when they're like, sixty. and while phil is relatively chill and seems to just take things as they come, which tbh is probably the healthiest way of doing things, dan is very overthinking and wants to get ahead of everything and also in general just like.. he wants to build a career! he wants to build something on his own and i can't fault him for that at all. dan knows that one day he's gonna need something more than just Dan And Phil if he wants to keep working, and he's laying the groundwork right now to be able to do that

again, though, i don't want anyone to take this as like 'dan is only doing dapg to make money and rebuild a fanbase' because as much as that is definitely a big part of it... just look at the man. in these videos. he's having a great time. and also, as annoying as we are, he does kinda love us. sometimes. maybe. <3

"Pleeeaase Gavinho!!!" you gave him your best puppy dog eyes and he sighed nodding his head making you jump and kiss his lips in excitement.

"Alright, which team will you be?" he asked while taking the controller and smiling at your childish excitement while turning on the game.

"Barça ofc!" you said pretending to be offended with his question and he raised his hands in surrender turning on your controller and giving it to you.

"If I win we spend the rest of the night cuddling" Pablo said while picking up Barça as well deciding to make some changes to the line up.

"And if I win the whole internet needs to know who has better skills" you say with a proud smile sitting down and waiting for him to finish so you can start the game.

"Damn it! You've gotten better" Pablo said and you smirked nodding your head and stealing a ball from him rushing towards the opposite goal.

"No...no...no!" he said running after you but none of his players could catch you if they tried.

"Goal! Wooo!" you cheered while he kept a cold face although thinking to himself how cute you looked all passionate about something. (gif)

"Lucky beginning" he said and you kissed his nose picking up your controller and continuing the game.

You gave two more by the time first half came and he avoided your eyes waiting for the game to load for the second half.

"Awe, I can let you win if you want Gavinho?" you tease poking his cheek and he looks at you giving you a challenging look before the game resumed.

He did score one goal in the second half but right before the last minute you got another one in, ending with score 4:1.

"I think we now know who got mad skills, Mr. Barça Golden Boy" you said turning off the controller and putting them away while he sat there with a big pout.

"Awe, my big baby. What's up huh?" you said straddling his lap and snaking your arms around your boyfriend's shoulders while his arms wrapped around your waist and he pulled you closer.

"I really wanted those cuddles.." he mumbled into your neck and you smiled wide running your hands through his messy brown curls earning a groan from him.

"You're so cute, mi amor. You first need to tell the world who has best FIFA skills and then you can get all the cuddles you want, deal?" you say and he looks up a smile appearing back on his face which made you happy. You leaned down to peck his lips quickly before pulling away.

You took your phone out ready to film the video while he kept you on his lap and tried hiding his face into your neck which made you giggle.

"The poor baby doesn't know how to lose...did you lose against me Mr. Gavi?" you mock trying to move but all you could capture was his face stuffed into your neck.

"You lost.." he lied and you moved more forcing him to look at the camera with a charming smile. You definitely understood why he became such a catch, he was defiantly so photogenic.

"You lost! Tell people who's got real mad skills!" you say but he kept denying trying to tickle you but you stopped him as he grabbed his phone starting to film you as well.

"Yes I lost...My girl's got real mad FIFA skills. Are you happy now?" he said and you smirked proudly nodding your head turning off your camera but he kept on recording. You posted a video on your story and tagged him.

"Amor?" he said and you looked up from your phone noticing that camera was still in your face so you gave him a confused look.

"Huh?" you said and he smiled at your adorable confused face.

"Eres linda bebe" he said and you blushed hard now hiding your own face into his neck as he ended the video posting it on his story with a big red heart.

"I'm gonna go make us some hot coco and then we can cuddle? Want to pick a movie mi amor?" you say after pulling away and he nodded smiling wide that you will still give him cuddles even though he lost.

VoicePlay Thriller - thoughts/commentary

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Oh my god that was PERFECT! Unexpected in a few ways, but so amazing! And just enough spookiness and creepiness without actually being scary to me! Honestly I think it's tied with Be Prepared for my favourite VP release of 2024.

Obviously this is getting a VoicePlay Visuals; the video was amazing, I absolutely loved it, and all my concerns were for naught! It's so fun and cool! However, this post is just to share my thoughts on the arrangement and vocals and stuff. All my thoughts about the on-screen stuff are waiting for my proper visual analysis!

More yelling/rambling of mine below the cut!

Oh god, I'm gonna have to make this into a two-part Voiceplay Visuals, aren't I? Like what I did for Classical Chaos. There is so! Much! To talk about!!!

UPDATE: I actually went through and did a sort of "image tally", like just noting down tally marks to make a rough estimate of how many screenshots I might want to include in a post for this (e.g. "I might take one here" or "I might want two pics for this moment" or "I might grab three screencaps from this moment"), and yeah I ended up with just under 60 - this is absolutely becoming a two-part Visuals post.

Right out the gate it started to become clear that VoicePlay absolutely made this song their own (while still definitely "paying respect" to the original), which I suppose I shouldn't be surprised about - this was arranged by Geoff, after all, and he almost never arranges covers to be just a carbon-copy of the original, and this is certainly no exception!

Geoff's bassline is shorter than I thought it would be (not exactly like the original), and starting with vocals right out the gate definitely caught me off guard (UPDATE: actually Geoff's bassline changes and is pretty dynamic in this song and it's amazing actually)

With that being said, I GOT MY WISH!!!! Basically as soon as Geoff began the whole "darkness falls across the land" spiel I think I nearly exploded with joy.

While doing my image estimation tally, I also went back (for like my 5th watch) and took down some notes on the music arrangement and stuff, because this video has a lot of stuff in it, my memory is not always great, and I wanted more to talk about here.

The "I'm gonna thrill you tonight" bit obviously isn't in the start of the original song, but it is in there! Originally it's part of the "filler/adlib" (?) part in between the two halves of the spooky monologue (I don't know fancy song terminology don't @ me)

On the line "you see a sight that almost stops your heart", J removes the word "stop" (he momentarily stops singing, get it?), and then before you've even fully processed that surprise change, he follows it up with a riff down on the word "heart"!

So if you've ever watched the full-length Thriller music video, you'll know that it's a bit "odd" in the fact that it re-orders the parts of the song, so it goes 'verse-verse-verse-monologue-chorus-chorus-chorus', and I'm pretty sure it leaves out the bridge entirely? The album version goes the more typical route of 'verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-verse-chorus-chorus- monologue' (though having a verse after the bridge section is something I feel you don't really see that often in songs nowadays?).

VoicePlay, meanwhile, take a bit of inspiration from both versions of the song, and they go 'verse-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus-verse-chorus-monologue-chorus'. Also, they take the chorus that was originally in between the first and second verses and stick it in between verse 2 and the bridge instead, meaning that we don't get the line "there ain't no second chance against the thing with forty eyes", which is a small shame because that line has always been a memorable one for me, but eh, minor personal hangup, it's no big deal. And the original music video version didn't have that chorus either I'm pretty sure

(Am I just stating the obvious? Perhaps. Am I actually making a point here? No. But this is as much for my own interest as for anything else).

ANYWAY, time for more actual song cover thoughts:

I loved how each person really got a chance to shine in this - everyone got plenty of parts to sing! (Well, except Layne who was just on backing harmonies and beatboxing, but he still very much got to shine on-screen, which I will say more about in my visual analysis!)

After the line "you hear the door slam" there's a percussion sound effect that kinda sounds like something slamming shut!

The lead-in to the first chorus here???? Like the way it goes "cause this is- cause this is- cause this is THRILLER!" with like the muffled audio effect on the first repeat, like dang it's honestly so groovy and funky

"You're fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller toniiiiight" yeah that was smooth

But seriously THE MONOLOGUE!!!! That was utter freaking perfection; guess Geoff's experience with doing narrations really came in handy, huh? I love the little inflection he put on "to terrorize y'all's neighbourhood" (and yes the "y'all" is part of the original too), I love the groove/percussion behind the second half of it, and of course the spooky/evil laugh at the end of the song is great. Honestly if Layne had arranged this song instead, I feel like he too would have definitely given Geoff the narration bit, because like duh! It's got his name written all over it! Hell, I made a post on my Discord like over two months ago specifically hoping for VoicePlay to do Thriller, and I said that Geoff would be perfect for Vincent Price's narration, and I was right!!!

It's Personal- Chapter 2

Drew and his family drove back to their hotel after leaving suddenly from Survivor Series, no one said a word the entire time. Drew was really angry and did not want to talk about CM Punk returning after all these years, Amber and Quinn were in the dark as to why he was angry. He had never mentioned him at all, but they both knew he would tell them once he had calmed down. Once they got back to their hotel room Drew took a shower while Amber and Quinn got changed into more comfortable clothes. Drew got done quick and got dressed for bed, Amber got up and gave him a big hug, "Are you okay baby?" Amber asked softly, "No, I'm not" Drew said with no emotion in his voice, "Dad, why are you so pissed that Punk is back? I don't ever remember you having issues with him when he was here before?" Quinn asked him straightforwardly. Drew took a deep breath "I don't like him, he's a terrible person. Needless to say he's one of the many reasons your mother took off after I got fired Quinn. Back in 2010 I caught him cheating with her after I had proposed to her. She promised to break things off with him and she did so I gave her another chance but he took it personally and he made sure my career started declining not long after. Everything led up to me being fired and your mother taking off thinking she had a chance with Punk but she didn't realize he was getting married and it was too late. She went back to Scotland and haven't heard from her since. He took a lot from me when I was young and tried to make it for my family so yeah I don't like him, and the only people that know about this are us three, Stephen, and Stu. I'd like to keep it that way for the time being" Drew explained, fighting back tears. "Oh honey, I'm so sorry that happened to you" Amber said giving Drew another hug, "So what's gonna happen now dad? Are you leaving WWE again because of this, or are you staying and just dealing with it? Quinn asked, "I'm definitely staying, and I'm definitely getting my hands on him somehow, I don't know when or how I just know it's going to happen one way or another. For right now I'm just going to focus on the championship until the holidays are over and see where everything goes." Drew said, reassuring his wife and daughter. "Well it's been a long day for everyone, why don't we turn on a movie, and try to relax" Amber suggested, "That sounds amazing" Drew said, "Well I'm going to go back over to my room and just play video games until I get tired, goodnight y'all." Quinn said as she headed towards the conjoining room, Drew and Amber had been getting conjoining rooms since she turned 18 to give her some independence whenever she traveled with them. "Night Quinn, love you" Drew and Amber said. They both snuggled down in bed and turned on a movie, they soon however started cuddling and kissing one another, Drew climbed on top of Amber and began stripping their clothes off. "Need to blow off some steam?" she asked grinning as Drew kissed down her body, "What do you think love?" Drew said, catching his breath. Once they were both naked, Drew dove right in and began making love to Amber, slow and sensually.

The next morning, Quinn woke up a little earlier than usual. Drew and Amber were still asleep so she decided to go down and get some breakfast, and maybe get a little bit more sleep before having to check out and head to the house show. She went downstairs got herself eggs, a muffin, and some orange juice before setting off back to the elevator, she got in by herself but before the door could close a hand stopped the doors, the hand belonged to CM Punk. Punk hopped on the elevator with her and smiled at her, "Uhh what floor?" she asked him, "Same floor as you Quinn", Punk said. Quinn looked at him weird, "Yeah I remember you Quinn, you've grown up a lot, you're 18 now right? You probably don't remember me, you were little when I wrestled here a while back, I'm Phil Brooks also known as CM Punk" he said. "Yeah I remember you, it's just weird you somehow remember a co-workers kid after almost a decade" she said. "Yeah well I remember your mom and dad really well, not much has changed around the company since I left" Punk said making small talk with her as the elevator reached her floor. Quinn was really uncomfortable and she got off as soon as she could, but Punk followed her off to go to his room, Quinn turned to confront him "Look my dad really doesn't like you, and it's probably best that you stay away from me and my stepmom" Quinn said, "Oh you got a new mom now huh? Sucks that the other one was so obsessed with me, she couldn't be a proper girlfriend or mother anymore and abandoned you and Drew." Punk said smugly. That hurt Quinn in her heart but she chose not to argue back "Look just leave me alone okay" she said turning to go to her room, but before she could Punk grabbed her by wrist, "Listen here kid. Your dad better get used to having me around again and not storming out of events just because he's not getting his way. He better just leave things in the past because I'll make sure to end his career once and for all. Got it?" Punk asked angrily. "Okay okay just let me go!" Quinn said panicked, Punk let go of her and she began running to her room, "Bye Quinnley, tell your dad and his pretty wife I said hello!" Punk said with an attitude, Quinn looked back with a terrified look as Punk walked in the opposite direction. She got in her room, put her breakfast down on the table, and ran to the bathroom shaking and hyperventilating. She was going into a panic attack and started looking for her medicine, but she was too upset and felt dizzy and light headed, she collapsed to the floor.

I subconsciously always put my hand on my friends thigh whenever I remember something I had to tell them or I'm excited to tell them something, how do you think robin or kurt(you choose) would react to that

As someone who is pretty touchy with their friends (who like touch of course) and has touch as their no. 1 love language, I love this, and Robin and Kurt are some of the best examples you could’ve picked. So I’m gonna do both of them bwaha ❤️ (scroll down for just Kurt/see where Robin ends)

Robin:

Definitely already has a crush on you. She likes that you two being ‘friends’ means that she can be close to you. You two always sit super close together. If you’re sitting, your legs were going to be so squished they may as well be intertangled. Whether that be on the desk of family video, leaning into each other during a big scene in the cinema, or like now, where she’s on the couch with you at one of Steve’s small house parties.

You two had been drinking a little, which meant you were even more giggly, and while it could’ve come off as slightly less caring about being super touchy because you didn’t notice as much, it was more like you both had an excuse so you didn’t have to hold back from how close you wanted to be, thanks to the jello shots Steve had made last night.

You’d both grabbed onto each others hands, it wasn’t excatly a romantic hold, it was fingers bent in awkward places and squeezing too hard, but slapping your own chests with how hard you were laughing. Both your heads slowly sinking into the other as your laughs became only silent wheezes, desperate for breath, just having to cling to the other so you wouldn’t fall off the couch, and squeeze each other in place of breathing. Because Steve had just done something so hilarious in both your tipsy minds.

But then you both died down. Things were more calm now, and you’re both just sitting, squished together, but comfortable, as Nancy and Eddie discuss how they could easily break into family video. And as your friends talk, you quickly remember something you need to tell your best friend. And with excitement, you place your hand down on her thigh. Spinning to Robin as your hand jiggles her, squeezing slightly as your lit up eyes begin the conversation, with trying to get her to remember the context to what you’re about to say. Eyes sparkling bright as you bring up a past, shared memory with her.

Except Robin’s gone. Her mouth’s loosely hanging open. Her eyes more fuzzy. She’s just swaying as she looks at you in awe, nodding at what you say, while her chest and neck and ears flush.

She just felt... warm. Not in any weird way but, it felt nice. It felt really nice. Any time you gave her such loving touch, it always caused a spark in her chest, right down to her stomach. Including wherever you were touching her. Very lightly linking your pinkies, rubbing your thumb up and down her shoulder, stroking through her hair (and it was never just a touch, you’d stay circling your hand for minutes at a time...). Sometimes you two wouldn’t even be looking at each other. Part of a conversation, but not directly speaking, and you’d without blinking, move your hand just to touch her. Just to feel Robin. She always leaned into it, it made Robin feel better, and you’d always turn and smile at her when she did so. Both of you looking to each other and smiling like you were sharing some inside joke... or something intimate.

But this time it’s an even bigger thing. Robin sits there, mentally thinking about the fact it wasn’t just a tap, you still have your hand resting comfortably, on top of her thigh. She doesn’t want to move, for fear you’ll move it away again. Like when you rest your head on hers or something, and then it becomes a big deal if someone moves their head, and so you’d rather suffer a debilitating neck injury than move an inch. It really just does make her feel so warm inside.

She doesn’t want anybody else to be around, Robin wants only you, and simultaneously she wants witnesses in her friends, to be like ‘see? Do you see?’ to share those excited and knowing looks between her best partners in crime, and so she can gossip with them later, and ask if they thought that was flirty or not. What you looked like from their perspective! Especially Steve, her number one confidant. She kept trying to catch his eyes, so she could communicate with him to look at you, and then look back at her enthralled face, so they could discuss it in the kitchen later. Probably while jumping around excitedly as well.

And she was so happy she’d decided to wear her ripped jeans, because she could actually feel your hand on her leg!

Not in like a goblin way of “oooh oho I can feel their body warmth seeping into my own epidermis heheheh!” type of thing. Which Robin felt sometimes like if she wasn’t careful with how she crushed on you, then she was, like, sinning in some way. Which, after many talks with Steve, and you, a fellow sapphic person, about ‘other’ crushes, she realised may have been herself looking very negatively at genuine and innocent crushes and attraction, probably to do with being a woman and gay. And that crushes, romantic attraction, sexual attraction, any of that, wasn’t something she had to feel bad about, or ashamed for.

She loved how warm your touch was. How warm you were. She just loved the skin on skin touch with you! She just thought skin on skin was so... intrinsic, so innately homely and loving, and good. She could really feel your hand. The callouses on your fingertips when your hand started rubbing her thigh, instead of simply laying in place. Then the one time how your hand slipped under the rip in her dark jeans, and how her entire leg felt on fire then. How hard it was to sit still and not squirm in her seat. Until your hand went back, and she calmed the internal wheezing of her lungs, by focusing on your loving caress.

How soft your hand was, and how she’d actually borrowed some of your hand moisturiser, because you two got ready for Steve’s party together. Robin really wanted to go back to before, and hold your other hand now, too. She wanted to lay her head on your shoulder, like she did all the time, but with your stylish top falling off your shoulder by design, she just wanted to rest her cheek against you, and just be with you. Just be, with you.

Wasn’t that craving for your touch, your actual touch, normal? Robin loved being held by, and holding you. You always give her the physical affection she needs, sometimes knowing before Robin even has to ask! And with how she’d never crushed on someone like she did on you... she just wanted so badly to be able to feel you, and not be scared that you, or others, would question her because of it. Or, have you be able to do the same.

Robin can get into the conversation eventually. Always eager at what you have to say, and very into this juicy thing you’ve only now remembered to tell her, something you knew Robin would adore the info on. Because you knew her so well. Plus the excitement from your touch, from the fact you were so excited to tell her something, and that splash of liquid courage removing her filter on her mouth, meant Robin really was getting into her conversation with you.

It was only, after what felt like forever, when you’d finished dicssuing what you needed to remember, that you moved to take your hand away. But just before you can, and just quick enough it seemed like coincidental timing, versus Robin not wanting you to pull away, the flirty side of her brain takes over the tipsy, shy, simpy one, and she slides her hand smoothly back over yours. Finger tracing enchantingly up and down the top of your wrist, as her ringed hands held the back of yours, and held your palm comfortably into her thigh. Robin’s teeth shining, as she asks you something she knows you’ll be equally as fervent about.

It makes Robin feel loved. Like you want to touch her like that, because you mean it. That you want to be in a loving relationship with her. Or at least, that you care about her, and like her, a whole lot. Robin loves how comfy you two are together. And when you both drink some more, and your thighs end up on top of hers, because she’d gigglingly pulled you into her lap... well Robin thought that you both letting down your guards is the best thing that could happen. Because right now, her thumbs are rubbing up and down on your hips as she has her arms lovingly around you. And your head is leaning on top of hers, arms wrapped warmly around her in a hug, and hand rhythmically rubbing up and down her shoulder blades, with your finger occasionally getting caught on her bra strap, but you keep going.

She leans her head up to kiss your cheek, ducking it down again with a coy smile, as she feels your own smile on her. Her smile becoming even wider, when you peck the top of her head back. Now, as Robin’s hands are wrapped around your waist, she can’t help but not have her hands, resting on your thighs back. It literally just happened that way, and she loves that because you two keep falling into situations like this, so it must be because you both built up to them. And boy does being completely surrounded by you make her feel at home. Although, she really does want you to grab her thigh again... Not that she was going to give this position up easily. No way.

But when you touched her there for the first time... it was really one of those moments where Robin had to believe, no matter her self doubting, that surely you must be into her too. Or else why would you have touched her there? It’s one of those top moments Robin takes into account as evidence you like her. And one of her favourite moments with you that she replays in her head over and over every night with a smile on her face, just dreaming about you.

Or rather, it would be, if later on in the night, you hadn’t placed your hand excitedly on Robin’s thigh again, but then leaned in to kiss her minutes later. When her lips just looked too desirable, to not finally give in, while she was talking.

Kurt:

Not only does Kurt have a crush on you, but he’s also a teensy bit obsessed. He’s pretty sure he loves you. You’re pretty much the only person he focuses on in any room, even when you two are socialising.

Apart from selling his brand more of course, then he’s putting in the effort. He really works hard on his influencer career. He only cut himself off once from selling himself to a future fan, because he saw some guy bringing you to the balcony at a party, lightly touching your elbow as he lead you, and Kurt just had to know what was going on. Luckily there was loads of people on the balcony, and you just seemed to already be friends with this dude, so Kurt could breathe from where he was staring out the glass doors, behind a potted plant.

He just didn’t want someone else to swoop you up, when he was so sure he’d be able to take that step and kiss you soon! He had tried flirting, he didn’t really know why you hadn’t caught on, but you always seemed to really enjoy your conversations with him anyway, so Kurt was pretty happy with that!

Kurt is also very touch starved. You were the first person to give him a hug in years. Literal years. He nearly cried that night after you did so. He wanted to punch himself for not hugging you back sooner, not hugging you straight away, and having longer to do so. Because he was so caught off guard when you hugged him goodbye, that he just stood there for a few seconds, arms hanging dumbly in the air. Brain a dial up sound. His whole body in shock. Luckily he managed to softly wrap his arms back around you in time, thanking god you didn’t pull away when he acted so awkward. And after a couple of seconds of softly holding you, Kurt had squeezed, and kept embracing you tight. After that, Kurt never took for granted any of your hugs. He even got brave enough to hug you first, and it made him so happy you were always happy to hug him too :)

Any touch from you makes Kurt go crazy. Any. And I mean any. A twilight-esque scene happens where you both reach for the the volume knob in his car at the same time and yours hands brush, and Kurts hand is literally tingling the rest of the day. He keeps having to palm it, stretch it out, while staring at it in soft wonder. You high five him, you pull him, you even poke him, and Kurts heart is beating so happily in his chest. Those immediate seconds after you touch him, you could ask Kurt to to do literally anything for you, and he would agree in a heartbeat.

So when you place your hand on Kurt’s thigh... all hell breaks loose.

Kurt is a massive simp for you in a ‘he wants so desperately to be loved, and you’re the one person he actually cares about, please like him back’ way, and a ‘slightly pervy virgin, oh my god please let him touch your boobies, he’d actually do anything, you’re so pretty, and you smell so good, and he really really likes you, and really wants to fuck you, he’s so unbelievably horny’, way.

His whole thigh is buzzing, it feels very tingly and Kurt is very sensitive. His entire leg starts to get pins and needles, including his crotch, and his foot! He becomes extra sensitive than he already is, physically, and emotionally. Anything else from you is really going to set him off even more now.

He gets all flustered. It’s very cute actually. Also from the fact that he wants so bad to wriggle, to try and shake off the feeling of blood rushing down there and beginning to just slightly make him look bigger in his sweatpants, but if he fidgets you might move away!

You’re talking excitedly, but Kurt’s face looks... strained, to say the least. As well as the fact he’s a dark shade of red. You don’t want to uspet him by alerting him he looks off, so you ask if he wants you to keep going, talking wise, to which you get a strangled hum back. And then about halfway through your next statement, he lets out a breath, like he’d been holding it or something, panting just a little.

Your hand moves further up, literally only because you’re moving in your seat to talk to Kurt more, it was just because you were moving around, and you’re still talking eagerly. But Kurt doesn’t know whether he’s trapped in heaven or hell. He doesn’t know what to do!!! This feels so good, but the last thing he wants is to scare you away! He doesn’t want to freak you out, he doesn’t want you to leave because you think he’s weird like the rest of them do.

Maybe you’d think it’s weird he hadn’t been touched on his thigh before? Was it weird of him to be so... enraptured, by that? Would you think he was a loser for finding something that could be normal, so intimate?

Kurt gets a bit too flustered to really know how to handle this. At one point, while you’re really energetic on a sub topic, Kurt casually grabs a couch cushion right next to him, and just places it on his lap. But far up enough your hand can still stay luxuriously, and he nods as you continue.

But then, when you gently knock the back of his hand, to ask if everything’s okay, Kurt feels himself coming back. Wanting to act super cool in front of you, but also knowing you said you prefer the real Kurt, not the act he puts on. Which he tries to simmer down in front of you, even though he’s kind of just learnt to be like that in front of others. Kurt grabs your hand before you can pull it away, gently playing with it in his. His forearm leaning on his cushion, as he begins to smile, and starts giving his own opinions. Only getting more animated as you agree with him, and happily ask for more of his input in the conversation. You’re one of the only people who does that!

Kurt’s still very red, but you can tell he’s trying to flirt with you again now. His flirting is so awful, but you love it. You just haven’t made a first move yet, kind of wanting to see if, and if so, how, Kurt would make one. He keeps your hand close, even as you shuffle in place again, and it’s kind of awkward on your arm, but Kurt doesn’t let go. He’s still looking down at both your hands on his cushion, and playing with your fingers cutely, so you just move closer again, knees touching the length of his thigh.

Although if you were in his car, Lord help him. You keeping your hand on his thigh as he drives, when you two are ‘just friends’. Kurt might swerve to pull over, nearly wrecking you.

Flashes of pulling up to a gas station so he can quickly jack off in the bathroom, versus, saying he really likes how nice you are, and when you two hug and hold hands and stuff, it makes him happy you’re his friend. Or taking your chin and kissing you right there, before pushing you into his back seat and climbing on top of you, digging his hands into your plush thighs he can see through your shorts, biting them all over, before he forces your hand upwards, to feel his crotch through his sweats, pushing your hand there with his own bigger one, telling you what you did, and making you feel what you’ve done, how you should make it better, versus, explaining that he really likes you, and, even though he’s kinda nervous, haha, if you’d want to go on a date with him? He doesn’t just mean it casually. He’s really really likes you, admired you, cared for you for a long time now, and he really wants to be with you, if you’d want that too. He promises he’d be such a good boyfriend to you, if you’d take him?

But yeah, if you stroked Kurts thigh, and you were smiling up at him so comfortingly, he might physically cry. Or if you kept moving, if you sat even on Kurt’s legs, if you kept rubbing his thigh, he might cream his pants, completely on accident. Either in a sweet, or a pervy way, Kurt really loves you touching his thigh.

s2 episode 11 thoughts

okay!!!! i've kept you waiting long enough. now let's get into the things i liked about this episode while ignoring the stuff i didn't.

first. mulder walking into his office. and scully sitting there in the dark, watching a tape.

this had me HOWLING. how did she get in there? she keeps a key to his house and his office on hand at all times? the level of casualness with which he turned on the lights only for dana scully to be sitting in his office chair, as if it were the most natural of things in the world, floored me. she made herself welcome. she looks up and says hello.

then we get a little lore break to learn about the case and yeah yeah case stuff hold on. did she just say she got there at 6 am?

yes, you heard me correctly, she made her way into his office at 6 in the morning to watch the video and go through all of the related x files. i think i had tears in my eyes at this point and i definitely do now as i recount it. dana scully you are such a little weirdo and i love you so bad. i hope you enjoyed your time rummaging through his stuff. glad his space has really become yours as well.

and his entire lack of reaction to her being there pushed me even further over the edge. like, sure. at this point in their relationship, why not walk in to see her sitting at your desk and going through all your shit? the level of casual intimacy is at once so fucking funny and so heartwarming.

(a few weeks ago i was chatting with a friend about our top five favorite fictional characters, and i made the argument that scully and mulder ought to count as just one character for the sake of the ranking, because of how entirely they blend into one person. and her just being there when he opens the door- and having been there for hours at that point- really solidifies my reasoning. and i had made that argument BEFORE seeing any of s2, let alone this moment)

the next moment that had me laughing was when they went to the convalescent home (which wasn't a word i was familiar with before all of this) and our poor agents get stuck questioning a 74 year old man during his bath time. i already had a "oh noooo" feeling of dread about the whole situation- for how could the academy prepare them for this? and sure enough, he flashed them.

now, this was, like i mentioned in an earlier post, part of an attempt at social commentary that i could and might write an essay on- but let's set that aside here, and just deal with the fact that our poor agents have been put into such an awkward position, while understanding that the scene is being played for comedic value despite how awful that would be irl. because mulder smiles and says "thanks for sharing", while scully also bites back laughter. their faces at this moment had me laughing. it was such a "fuck my entire life" moment for both of them and i felt that extreme case of tv show-induced secondhand embarrassment.

and i think they handled it quite well!!! have we considered giving them a raise? for having to deal with all the haunted children and now creepy old men? god. their poor eyes. "thanks for sharing" stfu mulder... he cannot act seriously for ONE minute!!!!!!

there was another big ass coats moment when they walked outside and spoke with someone involved in running the program. and you know by now that's catnip to me!!!

one of the old men starts choking to death (he was taking mushroom pills he wasn't supposed to) and scully slips into Doctor Mode and it was deeply satisfying to watch. she starts saying fancy words and calling out for certain medications- "this man's in ventricular fibrillation, i need 75 milligrams of lidocaine and one amp of amphinephrine" and i'm sat there like yes. exactly right!!! she's doing serious doctor business!!!!

(i need to edit this image to make it appropriate for when her doctor mode takes over. because this is what i'm always referencing when i say someone is "shifting into ____ mode" and i don't think i've ever spelled that out before so i should here. have not seen seinfeld just saw this image one day and it permanently altered my vocabulary)

there's another moment where she's having a doctor-off with the dude who worked at the place and she said the line "the clinical benefits are marginal at best" and idk man i just like to see her doing her doctorly thing.

(she also gets very doctorly excited about the idea of there being improvements for incurable conditions such as alzheimer's and it's good to see some joy on her)

next thing that had me laughing:

"are you saying that the building's haunted? because if you are, i think you've been working with me for too long, scully" <- said in a flirtatious manner

don't remember what was going on at this point beyond someone had just fallen to death, but i wrote "another scully serving looks moment in the midst of tragedy" and i stand by it. this is really an epidemic. scully stop working angles in front of the dead... or don't because i'm not actually complaining <3

we also see mulder prowling down a dark and damp hall and cracking open a lock to break into a room. which seemed like a typical activity for a guy like him. literally just a tuesday in his life. he found a bunch of mushrooms and i made a frantic note reading along the lines of DO NOT TOUCH THEM because famously mushrooms WILL kill you but he seemed unharmed. thank god.

he's all, what if the mushrooms are what is helping the patients, and scully delivers this banger line: "mulder, mushrooms aren't medicine. they taste good on hamburgers, but they can't raise the dead"

which is 1. a hilarious fucking line just for its sheer ridiculousness, and 2. a critical insight into how scully orders her burgers... which i WILL be adding to my list of useless character facts

the episode winds down with mulder getting trapped in a room with rapidly rising water and we see the door SLAM right before scully can witness the ghosts tossing things about. and the commitment to that gag of her never actually seeing the paranormal stuff really got me there.

then, the door breaks due to the water, and everyone is soaking wet, which is always a good look.

overall, highlight of this episode to me was by far scully breaking into his office at 6 am. nothing will top that for me in terms of comedic value. it has become Her space now. she has claimed you mulder, there is no going back, you are in far too deep and thank god for that because you freaks deserve each other.

Okay, so I just watched a Miles Luna cameo video talking about the chant Pyrrha does to unlock Jaune's aura, link here to the reddit post of it. And it's a very interesting video for a number of reasons. Please note that while talking about this, I wanna be aware that my interpretations of what he's saying may not be definitively true. Miles Luna is someone I don't know and I'm unable to ask for clarification on anything he says. I'm simply talking about what this video made me think and how it came across, not trying to say like "this thing he said definitely means blah blah blah." This was just very interesting and I wanted to talk about what I found interesting and what I got out of it.

So he was answering the question "what's the deal with Pyrrha's aura unlocking chant thing in volume one? Was it like a standarized thing, or was the mantra unique to a person's beliefs?"

I'm going to be putting things that Miles said in indented and then talk about the things I think are worth talking about.

So this'll happen again, but it's just interesting that Miles' answer comes in the form of 'this is how I saw it' rather than 'this is how we saw it,' which makes it seem like there wasn't an agreed upon conclusion or even an agreed on supposition on what this moment even was.

"The story behind that is a wild one, it takes us back to volume one. Back when me, Monty, and Kerry were... Learning how to tell stories." *Laughs* "Stories that lasted more than like - you know - five minutes, and build worlds and stuff. And back then, you know, so much stuff was rough around the edges. And it was a lot of experimentation, and just trying things, and having to just like, throw ideas out there and commit to them because we just had to work really quickly and..."

Miles talking about how rushed they were, how they didn't know how to tell a real story yet and were just 'throwing out ideas and committing to them' is just... To me, it really seems like it indicates what I already thought, that things weren't 'planned from the beginning' because they were just writing, and writing on a deadline, so they were putting things into the story without fully thinking them through and committing to them because it was all they could do.

"I remember we were trying to establish, you know, we need to teach the audience how aura works. First off-" *Laughing* "I don't think we did a super good job with that. The same with semblances, and a bunch of things."

It's so funny to me that if rwde posters and rwby critics said something along those lines, like 'they weren't good at telling us how aura worked' or 'they really just didn't establish a lot of things very well,' many anti-rwde posters would just hate us. XD And this is what I mean when I talk about how overly defensive some people in the fandom are, because one of the main writers and creators can look back and laugh about the ways they went wrong in the early volumes and recognize that they weren't the best at storytelling, and meanwhile there are fans that would be like 'ummm why do you need your handheld? Obviously aura works like *insert headcanon here* and you should've gotten that through the brilliant scene, you fucking idiot." Like, it's so much easier for me to fondly smile and shake my head at the sort of charming follies of early-RWBY. Random tangent, but it reminds me of watching a movie with my ex-boyfriend where he got angry that I said a character who was getting in a physical fight was aggressive and he rewound the movie several times and made me watch the character start a physical fight repeatedly to 'prove to me' that the character wasn't being aggressive, and I was just sitting there thinking 'I would like this movie a lot more if you weren't so defensive over it.' But anyway, back to the video.

"But I remember we were like 'okay, well Jaune's kind of our like - our big dummy who needs to be taught everything so the audience can learn a lot through Jaune. So Jaune doesn't - It makes sense that Jaune doesn't have an aura, and maybe he like um, unlocks it at some point like during the - the Emerald Forest trials, but like how?' And we were trying to figure stuff out, and Monty goes like-" *Shrugs* "'What if we just have Pyrrha unlock it for him?' And we were like 'how would that work?' And he was like 'I don't know, man, Pyrrha's supposed to be the best. Maybe she's really in tune with her aura. And so like, you know, maybe if like, people are really in tune with themselves and - and in sync with their aura, they can give people with more potential - they can just give them a little nudge.' And we went 'yeah, sure! Why not?'"

So if you applied the ideas of the two criteria here to world building, you have 'People who are really in tune with themselves and in sync with their aura can unlock other auras' and 'People who have potential can get their auras unlocked.' Which means potentially characters who are shown to be confident, self-assured and who know who and what they are - like Glynda, Robin, Maria, maybe WBY now that they had their 'I am a Huntress' moments - could hypothetically have this power if it hadn't been dropped. And who has potential is a bit trickier, but civilians who can or want to fight, maybe? So, would Whitley count as being able to unlock an aura? See, the interesting thing is that I wouldn't consider Pyrrha to be particularly self-assured emotionally. Physically, yes, but emotionally I think she suffers from some insecurities that might give her blind spots. So maybe unlocking aura requires someone to be physically in tune with their body.

"I remember Monty wanted to write uh, Pyrrha's monologue and - and it's so Monty. Um, but it's one of the few things where he was like 'Hey, can I take a stab at that? I think it would be fun.' And he did, and I think it's really great."

Him saying 'one of the few things' is also interesting to me. But I do tend to have the opinion that from what I've heard, Monty would have ideas and Kerry and Miles are the ones that did most of the writing and like, turning the ideas into a firm thing. That's just the vibes I've gotten from the way that they've talked, and this just kind of makes me think that more.

"And it's very - It comes across as very, like, mystical. And like, ooh, exciting, mysterious. Because that was - that was kind of what we wanted the vibe to be about like aura. Like it's this spiritual thing that like, we understand how we can kind of use it um, practically, in combat. But like, emotionally and spiritually, there's so much more depth there. It has room to grow, there's things about it we don't understand. And um, we felt that what Monty wrote kind of encapsulated that sort of mysterious, spiritual um, like, side of it. And also for Pyrrha too. Like it made her seem like she was just levels upon levels higher than where Jaune was at the time. And we also felt - I mean I definitely feel as though, that it's something that like, she likes to think about and something that she says to herself to give her courage. Because if she's gonna fall in battle, then so be it. But she believes that her spirit - that there's a part of her that will live on, long after her body falls, and will go to some other plane on some grand adventure."

A part of me wishes that this had been so much more explained, but also I feel like the spiritual part of things isn't something that I want heavy emphasis in when it comes to the characters that seem to disregard their lives a bit, if that makes sense? Like, don't get me wrong, I'm not one of the people who think that Pyrrha going to fight Cinder is some indication of fault with her or Ozpin or something, I think it's perfectly logical that she went up to fight Cinder. I just also think that adding in that Pyrrha thinks 'if she falls then so be it,' before having her actually die. RWBY has a very dicey at best track record when it comes to suicide (Penny, Ruby in V8) and I think adding in these elements for Pyrrha would just have made it even worse.

"And I think that gives her the courage to... Be Pyrrha Nikos, out on the battlefield, fighting for the lives of others. That's kind of always been my take on it. But yeah, the short behind the scenes answer is um, Monty thought it would be a cool thing to do. Um, that was the answer to a lot of things from back then."

More 'not everything was well planned' indications here.

"Um, and I - and I like it a lot too, because we were really trying to explain to the audience that the creatures of Grimm don't have souls. There should be no moral quandaries about slaughtering hordes and hordes of these scary looking creatures."

Okay, so... I'm going to get into some controversial stuff here, because if they wanted to ensure that there were no moral quandaries about fighting the Grimm in the early seasons, why were they comfortable having the White Fang being such prominent enemies who Team RWBY would throw off of train cars that were blowing up in a tunnel soon to be overrun by Grimm? To me, if I was concerned that people would take issue with the main protagonist mowing down animal-like creatures that acted mindless and therefore had to establish that they don't have souls, I would be five times more concerned with making sure my main protagonist wasn't just tossing aside talking sentient humans especially if I had made them part of an in-universe marginalized minority group. Just a thought.

"And then, you know, on the opposite side of that, if the things that all of our protagonists fight are soulless, then we should make something that makes huntsman and huntresses really strong, it's the fact that they do have a soul that can manifest itself in ways that can protect the user - like the body of the person. Uh - uh, it's just something that, I don't know. It's like warm, fuzzy like faith and belief. And just, it felt like the nice counterbalance to the like, hollow, cold, violent Grimm."

What's interesting to me about this statement is that they wanted Huntsman and Huntresses specifically to counterbalance the Grimm by having proof of their humanity in their souls being so blatantly represented. If it were me, I would have humanity in general separated from the Grimm through their souls. But it's almost like the only people they care about and the only people they want the audience to care about are the hunters and huntresses, and not the civilian figures and random people just living their lives. I think that does sort of come across in the writing with things like Cinder killing people on the bridge in volume eight and knocking them down but then later on Yang saying in volume nine that they saved everyone, and Weiss throwing the guards into the ocean never to be seen again, and no one really bringing up or caring about how Mistral is pretty much defenseless, and so on and so forth. I think this also comes across in the fandom, where I've seen people talk about 'why would we care about the NPCs' and things like that. This just makes it seem to me that the writers don't really care about civilians.

"So yeah, that's kind of my all over the place answer, I hope you like it. Because that's how I always felt about it. We kind of just rolled with it back then, because we had to, because we had to work so fast, with so many constraints working against us."

The fact that even the main writers and creators seemed to be on time crunches where they couldn't take the time to really figure things out speaks volumes I think about how Rooster Teeth does business. Also, more little reasons here to not believe everything was planned from the beginning. Miles Luna says they just rolled with things not even because they wanted to but because they had to, because they didn't have time to put more thought into what they'd do before they did it.

"And we were super inexperienced. Um, if I were to do it all again, I would wanna - I would wanna dig into that more. I think there's some cool, untapped potential there. And in a million other places in the show."

This is so true that there is so much untapped potential in RWBY. But I just think it's really funny that once again, this is something rwde posters and rwby critics would get blasted for saying. XD Like I remember one time posting like 'there's so much I would change and explore more in RWBY if I could reboot it' and someone in the comment section was like 'I bet your writing sucks, idk why you think you could improve anything about RWBY.' If I said RWBY was full of untapped potential and I wish it was dug into more, I might get accused of being a know-nothing idiot or an obnoxious entitled brat, lol. XD

"Um, but, you know, those rough edges and that sort of like - amateur is too strong a word - but the - the over ambition of RWBY, I think has always been one of its greatest strengths and also greatest weaknesses."

For once, I completely agree with Miles Luna. One reason why RWBY is something I keep coming back to is that there's just so much there to work with, so much that could be really good. But it's also one of the biggest flaws of RWBY that it always packs so much in that it just doesn't seem to have any interest in properly exploring or following through on, and I do think it would be a much better written show if the writers would just stop and take a breath and scale back and edit to what they can handle. It's like filling your fridge with a ton of perishable food in the hopes of cooking amazing meals, but then not taking the time to ever really cook or do anything good with the ingredients and then throwing together a hodgepodge sandwich before (or even after) things start spoiling in the fridge. It's great for creativity and it makes me want to actually cook something good with all those ingredients, but you still think they shouldn't have been that ambitious and you're like 'next time you go shopping just buy stuff for a regular old sandwich because apparently you can't handle it, and this sandwich has moldy cheese, too many vegetables, balsamic vinegar, mustard seeds, uncooked lobster, and a twinkie. What were you thinking?' Anyway, long spiel short, RWBY has great potential, endless heaps of good ideas that are inspiring and that's one of the best things about the show! But it's also way too ambitious and it leaves the show in a mess. I don't even have a good solution that would keep the scope of the show and how it gets the creative juices flowing without being too much for the writers who can't seem to do any real depth or follow through, I'm just talking. XD

It's interesting to me that Miles Luna says 'we had a lot of heart back then.' Now again, I'm not trying to say 'Miles Luna definitely meant that they don't have heart now,' because I don't know him and I don't know what he meant, but just the nostalgia in his tone and the way he talked, it made me think about how RWBY used to feel like this loved thing that people really wanted to do, whereas now sometimes RWBY feels like the thing that people don't want to do that they're just plugging away at, and like skipping past loads of exposition and having their characters act exasperated and tired out by everything. I've gotten to that state where I was really excited about writing something, and then when I got out of the mood to write it and was just forcing myself too, it would leak into skipping over important things and just writing the characters to go through the motions in like vague annoyance because I was vaguely annoyed. It's a sign that I need to grow as a writer, but it also makes me go 'do I really want to even be writing this, does this even spark joy' and sometimes the answer is no. And it just kind of feels like sometimes that's what RWBY is now, a project people don't want to do anymore that no longer sparks that same joy that it used to.

But on a better, lighter note, I'm glad too that people are still thinking about volume one, because it often feels like the RWBY fandom on the general whole just doesn't even like the early volumes and wants to forget them, or even forget seasons 4-6 sometimes. Some people will act like the only thing that matters is the present, and looking at the setup or the early established things is just stupid when it's like... No, that's the whole thing that RWBY was built on. Volumes 7-9 alone don't tell a complete story. It's a hodgepodge sandwich full of a bunch of mismatched stuff maybe, but I really feel like the people that eat the whole thing and might complain about the bad parts actually like the sandwich way more than the people who take the top piece of bread and then tell you that all that other stuff doesn't matter anymore. XD But yeah, that's just the things that I was thinking about when I saw that cameo video.

1) While avoiding posting kadian makes sense, a bad photoshop like this only brings negative attention. 2) The number 2 is clearly visible on one picture, the number 3 on two pictures. If they don’t want turtles to clown, why not at least remove the number 3 completely? 3) It’s possible that it's just a demand from the brand (the jacket is a very limited edition and is on sale at the moment, and i don't think the one yibo is wearing was gifted to him so the visible serial nb might be a problem)

My inbox is for questions, not a place where people can anonymously post things on my blog that they don't want to post on their own blogs. Everyone has the ability to post their own opinions on their own blogs, and if they're just wanting to reply to a post I've made, they can do so in the comments. It's not necessary to be anonymous just to share a few ideas like this.

However, in this case I just disagree with this take and feel the need to point out why.

First and foremost, no, turtles are not overreacting. YBO has always felt like an ally up to this point, and this definitely looks conspicuously like an attempt to get rid of candy. Such a thing hasn't happened before, so of course turtles are going to be pissed off/worried.

As for the points you made:

The bad photoshopping did bring negative attention, for sure. Just because it was a controversial move by YBO, doesn't mean their motive for doing it wasn't about candy. And anyway, if turtles are right and DD's team is caving to solo demands, all that negative attention from turtles would only serve to publicize to the solos that YBO is doing what solos have asked.

The fact that they didn't seem to discriminate about which numbers to edit out only proves their intent was to eliminate the candy. The number 2 alone isn't that meaningful. The number 3 alone is a bit more meaningful, but not a big deal. The numbers 2 and 3 together are a candy.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the brand wanting the number hidden. All the video and photos from other representatives at the event clearly show the number. If the brand didn't want to associate the number with DD they wouldn't have let him wear the jacket. And it makes no sense for them to be against DD being seen with the number, because his association with it would only make the jacket more valuable in people's eyes.

Of course this is just my opinion.

You're entitled to your own opinion and perspective, but I hope you'll be sensitive to the fact that turtles are hurting right now, and not rub salt in their wounds by downplaying the validity of their feelings. There are plenty of times when turtles overreact to things. It's happened a lot in the past. But you might want to read the room a bit, my friend. Given the removal of CQL from his profile and then the editing of these photos, I think it's very fair to say that this situation is unprecedented in the fandom, and fans are right to be concerned.

Having said that - it's not a time to panic. Panic won't help anything. I've got another post coming about that in a minute so I'll link that here once it's posted.

OK, first of all, here's the link to my post about not panicking.

Second, I think people are taking this post about photoshopping as evidence of YBO being nasty or harming DD. Please don't interpret it that way. As I said in the notes for this post, it's probably more of a good cop/bad cop thing, where DD is still being his normal self and choosing his kadian numbers and showing his candies, while YBO is giving him cover and appeasing solos.

It's entirely possible they're providing cover for DD to his solos, while working with him to show that the candy is being hidden. Maybe the crudeness of the photoshopping was intentional, an act of defiance to draw attention to the removal of the kadian while still providing plausible deniability for solos. We just don't know, so let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

It's likely that YBO are in between a rock and a hard place as well. It's possible DD and YBO are trying to work together to thread the needle between keeping turtles happy and keeping solos happy. Let's not demonize his team. That wasn't my intention here.

WTF has been happening lately?!?!

Well, for one thing, I know we're all tense one way or another about Valentine's Day. Since aside from being the most romantic day of the year, it's also the anniversary of the dreaded VDay photo dump.

And then there's the uterus-obssesed trolls from her side, expecting a baby announcement... Fuck y'all, by the way 🖕 which made me more tense about February 14.

But what happens a few hours before February 14 American time? Chris posts an adorable video about Dodger instead.

Still, that didn't help alleviate the tension. Because Dodger might help a little, but he's been used before, and it most definitely wasn't fun.

But then, it turns out Albitch isn't even in the same country. She flew to France with a bunch of friends. Friends who were seen to be posting to their boyfriends, saying how they missed them.

But why is Albitch's trip so important? Well, let me tell you. She WASN'T in the same country, when Chris just proved he's in Mass, and her friends' posts showed her WITHOUT her ring, in France.

Oddly enough, it was around this time, that photos of ringless-Chris-lookalike surfaced. The photos that were shown and sent to people/blogs that were guaranteed to get it circling the internet before the end of the day.

Seriously, are they slipping? Or was it deliberate?

Anyway, when Valentine's finally came, we were in the clear. Chris' Instagram remained silent, except for that one significant Dodger post.

Things stayed relatively quiet for a while, aside from the France trips making their rounds here and there. But it all came to a head earlier, when Chris posted on his story...

Further confirming how far apart he, and his dear "wife" really are. Who's been seen, eating out in France, still missing her ring...

I mean, really? Do y'all not eat out with finger jewelry? Is that another lame excuse y'all have for her?🙄

And three days ago, this article gets released... And the legitimacy is still up for debate, but the fact that it's here, feels like the perfect storm to me.

Not saying that it's the beginning of the end. But it's something!

Now, honestly, it's a mess in the Fandom. This whole thing is causing a shit storm, like always, and it's not pretty.

But whether or not this means something, we have to keep a level head. This could go either way. Which is why I, personally am taking the win.

Wins are few and far between right now, so, I'm taking it. And I'm also finishing two fics, and enjoying my book. Which is a pretty big deal, considering, I haven't been able to finish a book for most of last year 🥺

Part two

You’re a YouTuber with a somewhat popular following of around 35k. Considering how close you are with the fans you have they are fully aware of your major crush on the popular guitarist Yuji Itdadori. Something about that pink haired man just had you in a chokehold real bad. The things you wanted to do to him just for him to not notice you at all was absolutely insane😫. On a serious note you decided to challenge your fans to see how willing they are to embarrass you on your social media. “Hey you guys I’ve noticed how close we are to 50k and I thank you all so much and I love you all. I’ve decided to create a little challenge for you guys to spice things up. If we can get to 50k by the end of the year I'll personally contact my favorite YouTuber, which y'all should know who that is by now and I'll try to see if he'll be willing to Collab with me." You continue on with your video and call it a night thinking nothing of it.

You wake up around 2pm and get ready for your day. Washing your face, brushing your teeth, fixing up your hair and all of that good stuff. You set your mind to ordering food rather than making anything, especially considering the fact that you have videos you need to edit. "Alright y/n let's get this shit started so we don't have to do anything later". You sit on he couch with your laptop in hand and quickly get to work. Around 15 minutes go by and you hear a knock at your door. "Ouuu that's my food!" You say while hopping out of your couch. You rush to the door and open it. You see a boy who looks no order than 18 who has your bag of food. You see the boys face go from completely uninterested to wide eyed with his jaw literally touching the floor. "You're Y/N! Like the YouTuber" he says excitedly. "Oh yea wassup" "I'm such a big fan! Can I have a picture?!" The excited boy said quickly. "I don't look the best right now but I'll let ya slide since you brought me food" you say. You take your picture with him and he gives you your food. You rush back to your couch to continue your editing while you eat your food

You post your video and soon after begin your nighty routine and soon hope into your bed. You're scrolling through Instagram when you see him. Yuji Itadori. Something about him makes you melt into a big ass puddle of water. All of those tattoos covering his arms. Ouuu those arms, those big juicy arms. He's just all around sexy and many others can definitely agree. He's a big YouTuber with around 500k subscribers easy. You wonder how you could even get someone like him to notice you. You chose to ignore all those thoughts for now and go to sleep. You feel your eyes become heavy as you lay your head on your pillow and almost fall asleep immediately.

You wake up to a few notifications on your phone. A couple of likes on your new video and some tweets. You yawn and get up to do your morning routine. Once done you sit on bed you look at your phone. 'maybe my video will blow up if I post it on TikTok' you thought. Thinking nothing of it you decide to post some clips of your video to TikTok to see if you can at least reach your goal. Now don't get me wrong you knew there was a possibility your goal could have been met but trying to get the Yuji Itadori to Collab with you was gonna be hard as hell. Especially considering the fact he has over 500k subscribers. 500k!!!! You're not even at 100k, but you made a promise to your fans. You chose to ignore it for the night and went to bed.

Over the next few weeks your Tiktoks as well as your YouTube video have been blowing up like crazy. You already passed your goal of 50k completely, reaching around 100 thousand new subscribers. You kept your part of the deal and texted Itadori a few weeks ago but have yet to have a response by the pink haired man. "I don't know you guys I already contacted him on his social media and his email. Maybe he just don't wanna Collab or something" you say into the camera as you attempt to bake a cake for your channel. You wanted to celebrate hitting a milestone of 150k but there was one problem.....you couldn't cook for shit nor could you bake. But that didn't stop you're hussle to try...plus you're fans voted for you to do it. "Alright y'all I'm done with this damn mixing now I'm finna put this shit into the oven. Let's hope and pray I don't burn it" you say jokingly. You pause your camera and sit on a chair near your table when you heard a ding on your phone. Thinking nothing of it you open you phone and began to read the notification. Your eyes widen as you continue reading. "Dear Ms. Y/N, sorry if you're receiving this email unexpectedly. Sorry I'm just not responding to you're email you sent me. I wasn't aware of any emails being sent to me considering the can't my management team is responsible for all emails and calls I have. The man is definitely bi. Growing up with bruce, he never got a chance for any kind of meaningful relationship and wasn't like other kids with internet access (or however that worked, I mean he's around my mom's age and her generation all had like flip phones in highschool or whatever) or "the talk" or really anything pertaining to sexuality. And instead of not realizing it until adulthood, he kinda just took it as it's completely normal because he never saw anything special about it. Bruce was always supportive of any pride marches going on which made him feel safe but they always had this mutual understanding that didn't make anything need to be said out loud

He may look sexy as fuck all the time but it's all a show, he's so asexual. I've always kinda took this as canon even though nothing like that was mentioned or shown, and he slept with kori pretty early on but nevermind that. He's not out to anyone because he didn't know asexuality was a thing, but more on that later with another character I headcanon as ace :-)

When he does figure it out though he comes out publicity rather quickly and the internet goes wild, leaving his teammates to find out through twitter

On Tamaran, no one is really aware of sexuality as a society, but just that a princess needs her prince and things like that (I don't know much about Tamaran, I could be wrong in canon but this is headcanon) but they do have the capacity for sexuality. Kori comes to earth and discovers human sexuality and doesn't really understand any of it and tries to figure out what she is but comes to the conclusion that it's VERY confusing but by god does she love dick grayson

Gar Logan

He's very much pansexual. He's always struggled with coming out to people, half of him thinking 'it's so obvious but they never said anything so they must be homophobic but deal with me for titans business' and 'they think I'm straight and I should come out' but rachel helps him, they are mspec solidarity

He comes out officially to the public during pride month which causes the rest of the titans to come out and make their statements which makes the world go crazy

He comes out to the team by donning a bunch of pan pride merch and hanging up a flag in his room and eventually they take notice and ask what it's about he makes a big show out of it and kori makes him a pan colored cake with the help of rachel because he was so excited about it

When he and rachel officially room together, they fold their pride flags in half to combine them on the wall

He is also asexual. I don't get sexual attraction so almost everyone is asexual. Like me he doesn't get the hype around it so he doesn't make a big deal about it like his pansexuality. He comes out because jason makes a joke about him and rachel now sharing a room and he just goes "huh? oh, no, me and rachel don't do that. I'm asexual :D" thus prompting dick to talk to gar in private and explain to him, and he doesn't show it but he's very excited and goes to tell kori

Rachel Roth

She is so bi without a doubt. When she comes out with the titans, people give her a lot of shit for being in a committed relationship with a man while being bi but she responds to all public backlash just getting increasingly more obnoxious with it. Think like aggressively chaotic videos in response to trolls to Lady Gaga songs and hanging pride flags from the tower every June

Jason Todd

Look at this man and tell me he's not bi. You can't. I know I've headcanoned like everyone as bi but that's because I'm projecting

He gets a boyfriend and thinks he's keeping it a secret but he's really bad at it

He acts like he's going out with a girl but has no idea how to act with a guy, so he asks the titans very obvious advice that just gets worse the more he tries to cover it up

Bruce knows it from the start pretty much because he's always acted like a tool who only cared about showing off everything batman and titan related when he dated girls but he actually appears genuine, so it must mean he's gay

One evening he tells the titans he's going on a date and rachel goes "with your boyfriend?"

Then they convince him to take his date to the tower to meet them which ends up being the best date he's ever been on

Conner Kent

At first he has no concept of sexuality because he starts out when he broke out of the lab with the emotional mind of a toddler

As he "grows up" he learns more about sexuality it kinda confuses him and finds he's unlabeled

Sexuality is hella confusing for him because all his pre existing knowledge comes from Clark Kent and Lex Luther and it's not like he inherited their sexuality and he never got to grow up and experience life

He's one of the titans who isn't exactly out about their sexuality, but that's because he doesn't label himself and currently that's only a concern to komand'r

His girlfriend is unlabeled too for the same reasons as kori and Conner has the biggest himbo bi wife energy despite being the smartest human-ish alive
