i think a lot of the older simblrs (like my age) just felt a little uncomfortable in the community because it did start to turn into highschool a bit??? like drama all over the place. not to mention that those horrible trouble making and drama stirring websites and tumblrs existed, and the 'bigger' simblrs got so much shit just for nothing at all. i think they just got tired of it? it definitely made me anxious at the time too, so i understand them leaving. that's why i took a break!

but ofc this is not from them, this is just my assumption. i miss them though, they were so cool ♥

amie is a lonely middle school teacher from oasis springs. she has lived there since she was 2 years old, but was actually born in sulani. her parents decided to move because of a bad family feud that made their life unbearable. their little girl is now 24 and would like to go back to find herself. a bad breakup left her confused and lost and she's felt like a different person for quite a long time now. she’d like to go back to her roots to hopefully feel like herself again. if she finds love there, she’d feel even more accomplished.

You know those myths about evil man-seducing sirens who lure men to a watery grave and then chop off their dicks with their shark teeth before tossing them unceremoniously into the ocean-dump, before gossiping with their evil siren friends about, like, how Chads are so cool or whatever it is crappy misogynist dudes think all women do now? Yeah, Noelani looooooves to make the crappy dudes of Sulani nervously wonder if those myths are true.

She didn’t start out that way. Once upon a time she was just a wee baby mermaid trying to figure out how to do a figure eight without hitting herself in the face with her tail, and the next some human is cat-calling her because mermaids are so sexy or whatever. Now, if she can’t sleep (which is often), she’ll go spook midnight skinny-dippers of all genders.

In her human life, Noelani is a marine biologist (and boy did her professors want to know how she got such excellent data done) who enjoys the finer things in life, like hanging out at The Sand Bar with her friends and singing karaoke. She has a lovely voice, an uncanny ability to put even the most nervous person at ease with her warmth and kind heart, and a few close friends (both merperson and sadly land-only). Now in her mid-twenties, she’s discovering that she really would like some company of the romantic variety. Guy or gal or neither or both, she’s not picky — she just hopes that someone with a love of music and art and fiiine chubby ladies will appreciate her mischievous sense of humor. And the fact that she can grow a tail and shark teeth at will. You know. Just minor things.

           Akua grew up with twelve siblings. As the 3rd oldest, Akua found it her responsibility to entertain and take care of her younger siblings. She told them stories, put on puppet shows, and even made a one-man comedy show for them! She also cooked and prepared their meals + birthday cakes. Akua wants to be a world-renowned chef and cook to make people happy. She is also quite the dancer. Akua loves to bust a few moves on the dance floor. She’ll go party any day.
