I will also talk about Tyler because he's also not normal about stuff 🫠
Right from the start you get these signs he's protective to a detrimental level lol
Tumblr media
(BTW Aidlyn scene cuz I'm not normal about them ❤️ The way he literally wraps his whole body in front of her sent me lmao. Mans got his leg around her and everything 🤡)
He's pretty much like this with Taylor in all their scenes. In the Sorrel House he puts his arm in front of her when they see the phantom (that he does not think is real, considering his reaction).
He also has a tendency to drag Taylor away from situations with out asking for her opinion on it 🫠 He just kinda assumes she will want to go with him. Like when he drags her out of the house after saying the phantom was just a prank.
Sir. PLEASE. Kinda possessive of you-
Tumblr media
I don't think Red did this on purpose because like. She hasnt really brought up their culture/heritage or anything in the story so far lmao (I'm crying). But idk like just this behavior reminds me a lot of the guys in my family 🙃 I think Latino boys get kind of socialized to be more aggressive and protective of their families at their own expense. He definitely seems like the kind of brother to impose a curfew- He has control issues like. We all see it right? He's a control freak.
Obviously his dad dying has a lot to do with this. His mother took it extremely hard, so then Tyler "stepped up" to take care of both his mom AND his sister, he's been parentified since a very young age (he doesn't look older than 10 imo). I think he feels a need to "be the man of the house" so to speak. He genuinely does not seem to have any hard feelings towards his mom even tho she...you know, fucked up. if any of you know the "latino boys are mama boys" cliche, but.
yeah.
(I do think Taylor has more mom issues because she kinda resents how Tyler has been parentified and she's allowed herself to be angry at their mom for leaving them to fend for themselves)
Tumblr media
Sidenote: It looks like his family is very isolated. Like, its strange that nobody came to help Marianna after Ethan died. This isn't always the case but usually Latinos have large families (my mom's family had to push together eight beds so all the cousins could sleep in one room lol) WHICH probably means Tyler's branch of the family is, so far, the first and only to have immigrated to the US. He's probably already a second or third generation tho, his mom has only one surname and he and his sister never seem to speak Spanish, so I don't think they learned it (probably some basics). I don't imagine they've ever been to Mexico except MAYBE when they were very young (its kinda rare to visit...since...it's so hard to get out of there in the first place...🫠 I dont think my parents have been to Venezuela in more than 20 years...but also Venezuela is in way worse condition, so...)
But yeah like. His protectiveness of Taylor is something that actively works against her and something she dislikes. She always looks upset when he drags her out of a situation or tells her what to do. She just wants to help :(
BABYYYYY 🥲
Tumblr media
Ofc she never says anything because for most of her life Tyler has put himself in a position of authority and is her caretaker. It's hard to speak up to somebody when they constantly say "I'm doing this for your own good, for your own safety, for-" Whatever. Taylor always believes Tyler does everything for her own best interests, so... even when she doesn't feel good about something, she'll still listen to him. It's a veryyyyyy slippery slope that can quickly become toxic, if it isn't already. Because besides being her brother, he's put himself as her parent figure as well.
He does the thing. You know. Where parentified kids try to overcorrect so they kind of coddle their own children and don't let them do anything because they're scared to death something is gonna happen to them 💀
I don't really know what the point of this was I just wanted to talk about how possessive Tyler can be and how unhealthy his attachment style is 😭 If I write Tyler and Logan angst tho just know it's gonna involve Tyler being overprotective and Logan being Not Cool TM about it 🫠

Dangancember 2024 - Danganronpa Top 24 Class Trials: Number 24 Danganronpa 2 Case 3
Tumblr media
//So...first thing's first...
//I am...kind of shocked that this one actually made the list. Because this trial is genuinely in my top 5 least favorite trials in the series, and it is widely considered to be the all-time worst case in the entire series for everybody else. For me personally, there are just a few that I like a little less, for a few reasons, which I've already gone over in the dishonerable mentions.
//But this trial is still good enough to manage to get onto the list, and I do think there are parts of it that people hold against it that are...a little too harsh. However, I generally do agree with the consensus that there is more room for improvement here.
//This case is the case that many in the fandom have deemed a moment where Danganronpa was at it's worse, and honestly, there is good reason for that. As much as I try to find good things about this case, it's really hard.
//This trial is the definition of a filler case in my eyes and no matter what aspect of it you look at, there's going to be a giant flaw with it.
//I'll go in detail in a bit obviously, but let it be known that this trial has a not very engaging mystery, terrible trial pacing, bad characterisations, big leaps in logic even for this series, and the absolute worst two parts of this trial for me, are the motive and the logistics, because believe it or not, this trial has something that you wouldn't expect from a series as well-constructed as Danganronpa.
//And that is…a potential plot hole! But we'll go over everything that makes this case flat out bad, while also trying to look for any positives we can find.
Tumblr media
//Let's start this case with the first, and in my opinion, one of the biggest issues with it: The Motive.
//To its credit, when you look back at the motive, and remember that this whole story of DR2 took place inside a virtual reality simulator, then it makes a little more sense. However, that doesn't stop it from being hopelessly dumb.
//A plot point and the motive Monokuma places in this chapter, is a type of illness called the, Despair Diseasetm.
//So, as the name implies, the Despair Disease is a type of what I can only assume to be a manufactured virus that Monokuma spreads around the students on the island. You might wonder, what does it do? Well, it's quite simple! It's an illness that alters your behavior! More precisely, it alters your behaviour to be the exact OPPOSITE of your typical behavior. And I nearly forgot, too! With a single snap of his fingers, Monokuma can miraculously cure this illness, which he inevitably does after Ibuki and Hiyoko's bodies are discovered.
//Four people contract this illness around the middle of Chapter 3, and three of them spend a significant portion of the chapter in lockdown. The first is Nagito, a character who is typically forthright and honest but becomes a huge, rotten liar once afflicted. Then Ibuki, who is typically a vivacious, bubbly, and bright individual, becomes a blind fool and accepts all she is told as fact. Then Akane, who is steadfast in her beliefs and typically doesn't become upset or notice significant problems (as demonstrated in this chapter following Nekomaru's removal for treatment), becomes a person who is continuously crying and terrified of the world around her, and immediately regrets everything despite what she stated literally the day before.
//Last but not least, Mikan, who deserves praise for effectively concealing her condition, eventually transforms from passive to aggressive. To the point that she actually murders somebody.
//Yeah, because I don't really want the murderer to have a good reason to kill or anything! This isn't a ridiculous method of making a normally composed person kill someone! RIGHT!?
//*sigh* Look...The Despair Disease sucks for several reasons. Not only is, for one, incredibly dumb in concept, and two, a very blatant excuse to have a normally friendly and timid character turn out to be a murderer, but it actually really knocks down the characterization and development of a lot of the DR2 cast, who are already the best cast in the series, but this is easily their low point.
Tumblr media
//Mikan especially, with her motivation, being tied to the Despair Disease, feels underwhelming and disconnected from her character arc. While the disease's purpose is to justify odd behavior, it robs Mikan of agency, making her actions feel less meaningful.
//Hiyoko spent the entire game tredding over Mikan. Kicking her down, and going out of her way to leave her out of EVERYTHING, and for little reason at that. Even in the moments where Hiyoko does allow herself to be vulnerable, she specifically singles Mikan out, and doesn't want anything to do with her. Even though I think Hiyoko is a much deeper character than most people usually see her as, the fact is that she was absolutely VILE to Mikan through the whole game.
//It would NOT be weird for Mikan's motivation to simply lie in the fact that she couldn't take it anymore. It would MAKE SENSE for Mikan to want to murder Hiyoko after being subjected to this abuse for so long. And if that had actually been the case, I think that could genuinely have made Mikan one of my favourite characters in the series, because not only is that a real statement on the kind of damage that bullying can cause, but it's actually a very reasonable motive!
//I mean, I'm not obviously encouraging anyone to kill their bullies, because that solves nothing. If anything, it means the bully wins because you basically just ruined your own life. But my point is there was an opportunity here, and it kind of felt wasted. There's little emotional or thematic weight to the murders committed in this chapter compared to other cases in the series.
//Oh yeah, speaking of which, why don't we talk about the fact that there's an "s" on the end of "murder" here, because Hiyoko isn't the only one that got killed this chapter, and in fact, she wasn't the original target to begin with!
Tumblr media
//As is tradition with, weirdly, every single third case in both the main and Another series, the killer of those cases almost always murders two people. SDRA2 is the exception to this, but three people die anyway because that case had two killers, not two victims.
//But...why?
//To be frank, although three people always die in the third cases, only ONE of those cases actually kind of makes sense to have two victims. But...we'll get to that.
//For this case at least, both Ibuki and Hiyoko died, and honestly, while I feel that one of them should have died, BOTH of them shouldn't have.
//See, the thing is, with Ibuki, it doesn't feel like she could have or should have survived to the end of the game. The goal of her character was to bring light humor to the table, and to be honest, she's probably 70% of the happiness on that godforsaken island. However, her attitude, personality, and general OWO Lol rofl attitude could be viewed as a little annoying and unhelpful.
//The issue is that it simply seems as though the devs killed Ibuki in Chapter 3 because they didn't want her to survive and used this as a pretext to do so. If that isn't the case, she was most likely murdered off because the first game committed a double murder, and they wanted to make a, may I add very poor, trend of that. The point is that Ibuki was killed off without any clear rhyme or justification, and while I won't deny that her bizarre demeanor during the last few trials may have broken the somber tone, keep in mind that two of the game's most peculiar and obnoxious characters, Yasuhiro and Toko, were among the survivors of the first game! Additionally, if you were going to remove her from the equation, do it in a way that is more significant, like Gundham. Is that really so difficult?
//Then there's Hiyoko, which is an entirely seperate issue, but has the same problems.
//She appeared to be going through a bit of an arc at this time. Despite all the problems Hiyoko brought to the table in the first two parts of the game, she was attempting to live and improve herself for the benefit of Mahiru, the one person on the island with whom she truly had a good friendship, and who was killed in the previous chapter.
//Despite all of this, even after I checked up on the lore and realized it wasn't true, I can't shake the weird sense that killing a character like her off was the original plan. Hiyoko was supposed to be one of the survivors, while Fuyuhiko was supposed to be the one who died in this chapter.
//To be honest, I'm relieved that didn't happen. I was immediately more invested in Fuyuhiko's arc than I was in Hiyoko's (again, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it), so in a way, I'm glad Hiyoko died instead of him. Like Hiyoko, Fuyuhiko was going through an arc where he would live for the sake of someone who died in the previous case, but for him, it was Peko, who was the killer.
//Referring back to what I've already stated regarding the motive and Ibuki, though, it would have been preferable if she had died and ONLY she died. It would have been more intriguing to learn what caused the killer to lose it, and it could have added a little more sadness to Hiyoko's death, because she was terrible to everyone on the island at this point in her storyline, especially this case's killer.
//But no. Not only was Hiyoko killed off and had her character arc cut short for such an unscrupulous reason, but the reason why she died in the first place is because she happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It had NOTHING to do with her terrible treatment of Mikan.
//What's more, she feels SO SECONDARY, that we never actually cover HOW she died! She had her throat slit but...By WHAT!? And WHEN!? Nobody seems to care!
//I simply don't understand how TWO CHARACTERS could die in this chapter, and BOTH of them feel like they died as an afterthought! Even though Hiyoko is a main character and has an arc planned out for her, she truly feels like a secondary concern; and Ibuki dies in a way that feels more like a plot device than a meaningful loss. Her death lacks the emotional resonance seen in other victims' deaths.
//And I don't know how that's even POSSIBLE, and yet...It happened!
//And what's more, not only was the double murder bad for these two characters...it was bad for the game...in GENERAL! Because it ultimately results in creating an overly-complicated murder plan that is needlessly complex and relies heavily on improbable coincidences and timing.
//The double-murder in Game 1 was, surprisingly, quite straightforward. Celeste manipulated Hifumi into helping her murder Taka so she could confuse everybody, and then before Hifumi had a chance to squeal, Celeste killed him too.
//Like, that plan MAKES SENSE! But the two double-deaths that succeed it just...DON'T!
//Mikan's plan required manipulating Ibuki into climbing the stepladder and hanging herself, while also somehow setting up Hiyoko's murder in a way that wouldn't immediately implicate her. The use of the video feed and staged crime scene adds layers of confusion without much payoff.
//The trial just drags due to excessive leaps in logic and over-reliance on mechanics like repeating the same evidence. Some revelations feel contrived, such as the reliance on the despair disease as a catch-all explanation for behavior.
//And this is where the dreaded plot hole comes in. I'm gonna try and explain this as best as I can, but even if I do that, it might sound a little complex. So please, don't hold it against me, it's the trials fault, not mine.
//Okay, so...*deep breath* To quote Hajime, here's everything that happened in this case:
Tumblr media
//This case begins with Hajime entering the hospital, where Nagito, Akane, and supposedly Ibuki are being treated. There, he notices a broadcast on a monitor in the hospital lobby using a video system that Kazuichi set up that connects from the Hospital to the Music Venue. The original purpose of this was to allow communication across the island so that the group could better communicate while quarentining the sick students at the hospital.
//But the video appears to show a live suicide occurring at the Music Venue, with a figure wearing a bag over their head, obfuscating their identity. Hajime immediately runs to the Music Venue upon seeing it cut to black.
Tumblr media
//However, the video was, in actuality, a ruse staged by Mikan, who had actually filmed it in the hospital conference room just above Hajime.
Tumblr media
//When Hajime arrives at the Music Venue, he discovers Ibuki's body, already deceased for quite some time. Shocked, he rushes to the hotel to inform the others. Meanwhile, Mikan seizes this opportunity to carry out several elaborate actions at the Music Venue.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
//First, she smashes the monitor used for the video broadcast.
//Second, she raises the temperature of the venue to manipulate the time-of-death estimation.
//Third, she breaks a drumstick and then glues the door shut to make it seem as though the culprit locked themselves inside, casting suspicion on those who were absent.
//And fourth, she tears off wallpaper concealing Hiyoko's already-dead body behind a stage pillar, creating the illusion that she died after Hajime's initial discovery. In actuality, Hiyoko was murdered BEFORE Ibuki after she accidentally walked in on Mikan setting up the murder, and had to be silenced. Mikan killed Hiyoko, stuck her to the wall with tape, and covered her with wallpaper before she left.
Tumblr media
//After finishing these tasks, Mikan runs outside and encounters Fuyuhiko near the motel, where Hajime is already convincing Chiaki to return to the scene.
//Within the rough timeline, Hajime’s trip to the motel, and his success in bringing Chiaki back likely took no more than TWO! FUCKING! MINUTES! This implies that Mikan had less than TWO MINUTES to execute all of her actions that I've just listed at the Music Venue. A feat requiring EXCEPTIONAL speed, precision, and foresight.
//The issue arises with the plausibility of Mikan’s capabilities. While an athletic and quick-thinking character like Maki or Peko might believably pull off such a crime, Mikan’s established characterization makes this incredibly unlikely.
//Her clumsiness is a DEFINING trait; so much so that her falling awkwardly serves as EVIDENCE in the game's first case! Asking the audience to believe she could perform such an elaborate and precise crime strains credibility.
//I know that I kind of play with this idea in DR Survivor, with Mikan being shockingly powerful and agile despite herself when she gets serious, but it doesn't change the fact that in general, this is just really dumb, and near IMPOSSIBLE to achieve!
//I am aware more than anyone that Danganronpa makes some pretty incredible leaps in basic behavior, and the whole idea of the series is that the riddles are typically intended to be senseless and irrational from a regular standpoint. But even in the game's own universe, THIS scenario is impossible! Even if Kiyo and his seesaw were a little crazy for a murderous plot, THAT plan made sense and could probably work in a real world setting!
//And this trial is just full of really dumb leaps in logic. Here's another one! Monokuma's movie!
Tumblr media
//This plot point where Monokuma makes a really shitty Wizard of Oz parody where he just murders all the characters, arises because Mikan apparently did an imitation murder of the events of the movie.
//It's also maybe the most forgotten points of this trial, yet being one of the most important ones altogether. Mikan had originally intended to kill Ibuki and JUST Ibuki when Hiyoko unintentionally walked in on her, therefore the imitation murder wasn't planned. Apparently, the imitation murder was simply carried out as a red herring to divert our attention from the question of why the murderer would have done it.
//Now, I kindly ask where the logic in that idea is? If I were killing someone and then unintentionally had to kill someone else who had entered my room, why in the world would my initial reaction be, "Crap, this wasn't planned! Here's an idea! I'll mimic the plot of that stupid film in order to trick everyone!"
//The answer is I wouldn't! Because that's a really dumb and ridiculous leap in logic!
//Also, you know how Danganronpa and Ace Attorney are widely recognized for their cultprits having cartoonishly dramatic emotional breakdowns when they get caught? I think Mikan might be a big reason why.
//Now, I'm all for Mikan being a crazed lunatic under her skin. Like I said, if that side was brought out in the face of snapping under repeated emotional duress, it would make sense. But Mikan's breakdown and confession, while shocking, feels inconsistent with her previous characterization.
//While there are hints at her deeper personality issues, her sudden transition into a despair-crazed killer feels jarring and poorly developed. Especially at that moment where you have no real context, and it's kind of established that "Oh, no, this is just who she really is. She was always fucking crazy."
//The despair disease is never revisited or explained in depth, making it feel like a gimmick rather than a meaningful addition to the story. The case contributes little to the overarching narrative, making it feel like filler compared to the more impactful cases before and after it. The only thing I CAN say it contributes to are two things:
It explains the tense mood throughout the first act of Chapter 4, and a large reason why Gundham was pushed to sacrifice himself. Because of Mikan's personality shift, everybody, especially Kazuichi, begins to doubt everyone else's true nature and motivations. After all, what's stopping there from being another crazed lunatic among them like her?
It's the biggest hint towards the truth of why the Remnants are there, because upon remembering, Mikan reverted to her Remnant self, which all of the others on the island actually were like before they forgot. It's an interesting thing to look back on post-game, but at the moment in time, it feels out of place and weird.
Tumblr media
//Still, I can't pretend to completely despise this case. After all, the fact that it made the list in the first place is still an achievement. It may be among the lesser cases of the DR series, but it's still not the worst.
//For fans of Mikan, this case offers a glimpse into the darker facets of her personality, hinting at a deeper connection to despair and her toxic relationships in the past. Her breakdown and confession, while sudden and kind of nonsensical, add layers of tragedy to her character; who has already been established to be a very broken person, as it ties into her desperate desire to feel needed, even at the cost of her sanity.
//And that, even amongst every other part of her, is probably the saddest thing. She's actually the second purple-haired character in the series who was abused by everyone and yearns for codependence, but hers and Toko's are two different kinds of pain.
//The trial features standout moments of character interaction and tension, such as the beginning where Nagito accuses Hajime of being the perpetrator, although knowing that Hajime is the only one who could not have committed the crime because, before to the trial, he was the only one who did not watch Monokuma's movie.
//And again, to reiterate, the way this case subtly foreshadows the larger narrative is pretty neat upon reflection.
//The case subtly hints at overarching themes of the game, particularly the influence of despair on the characters and the blurred line between victims and culprits. And Mikan’s ties to "her beloved," which at this point in time is almost confirmed to be Junko Enoshima, and her obsession with Despair act as breadcrumbs for the larger plot twist later in the game.
//In short, Case 3 suffers from a mix of convoluted plotting, unsatisfying motivations, and lack of emotional depth, making it feel like one of the weaker cases in the series. It’s often seen as a missed opportunity for character development and storytelling. However while it might not be the strongest in terms of logical consistency or character motivations, its unique atmosphere, impact, and the spotlight on Mikan’s character arc make it a memorable chapter for me.
//Enough, at least, to earn it an honorary spot on this list.

Oh my god. I thought I was out of The Rut. Old man laughter in the background.
I was wondering. This morning (I wake up and fall back asleep many times) I was talking to Lev halfway through dreaming and through dreaming and I'm pretty sure he brought up the topic, but I told him I'm pretty sure I was out of it - told him last night and he just kept quiet, but this time... Yeah. So turns out, something I'd figured out before, Apparently kinda like a cat in heat there's just this specific (energetic?) pressure points on my back -
Got given the Miasma card in the Apocrypha deck. yeah I forgot you can smell hormones Somehow, that's part of how he knew this was a thing in the first place. OK so that's how he knew it was still on, anyway -
He ended up holding them for me through dreams and stuff and. my god. It's a fascinating feeling I cannot describe? Am I lazy or is that the truth I don't know, it's like... it's honestly a lot like when you wake up after a deep sleep and do a really deep stretch, that weird feeling of feeling really good and also really strained but not sexually? But add weird fucking hormonal things and weird communication through the body and.... It's interesting. Its absolutely a relief lmfao
I genuinely thought I was done with it because I'm not aggressive like I had been. Well... I've been working on splitting myself up, which. left some part of me - and this is going to be obvious as fuck when I say it but I didn't notice - absolutely aggressive and picky and "no we're not doing that because I say so". I first noticed yesterday having reblogged stuff to ANVD's blog, I was getting this heavy feeling of Do Not Post which I sniffed back to the source and it was just. me. And I keep getting an alternate voice in my head, which is pretty normal tbh I split myself up all the time, that's just. Aggressive lmfao. SOMEONE is still in it. Man, there's a fly on my perfume.
Actually, interesting things from Lev, another card: The Roots of Experience. I'll put a picture of this one bc it's hard to explain:.
Tumblr media
The key part.. It's. Hmm. It's a tie to my position in the cosmos? Which I guess that makes sense, it's about exertion on the environment and position within it, but I think Lev's talking about... specifically what it is regarding the non-conscious-mind bodies. Oh! Right. Probably why I feel split up. Anyway. Post over I'm Aggressive at it

(And part 3, in which I continue Part 2, because Tunglr doesn't like an essay disguised as a post lol) And yes, I would find out years later--in 2019, in the midst of what was more of a genuine mid-life crisis where I discovered there was an actual fan community for this obscure game--that there IS a bit of a justifiable trope in that TWEWY does generally come into the lives of people when they need it. I'm not going to say it literally saved my life but I WILL say that it certainly changed the vector my life was on for the better, and not just because of the people I've met in the fandom. (Y'all are one of the good fandoms out there. Don't ever lose that. Keep being zetta awesome to each other. Keep putting out heaps of creative works--I am honestly not sure I've ever seen any fandom have this high of a percentage of artists/writers/creatives per capita than I have seen in the TWEWY fandom. I have ha-ha-only-seriously joked that both TWEWY and NEO:TWEWY were secretly imprinted) I will also note that...my bestie was absolutely not wrong that Minamimoto is just like me FR (well, I can go a bit longer without mandatory mathematical metaphors and or compsci and STEM references, but. Yeah. I vibe with Minamimoto a completely normal amount lol). And honestly that trope I mentioned DID come in play for NEO:TWEWY for me in a way I was absolutely not expecting, I wasn't expecting things to hit so damn hard, but...yeah. (And NEO, and ITS announcement, also came at a particularly dark period in my own life, and is probably an even purer example of the typical TWEWY Trope. I also appreciated it MUCH more with having played the original TWEWY, though--opening a door, and then having that door fully kicked off its hinges by a goth catboy screaming set theory as Aggressive Positive Self-Affirmations in a megaphone, so to speak.) Yeah, I think about this franchise a Perfectly Normal Amount :D And I'm glad for what I've been able to do (either in fanfics or essays or just noting Zetta Cool References that show the amount of love they put in this game). And while I know I am not the world's greatest artist, I'm glad that I've been able to at least inspire some people, and inspire folks to character essays, and I do love sharing deep-dives on character motivations and references and the like. So, well, that's basically my point of origin for getting into TWEWY. Thank you all for being zetta awesome people :3
twewy fans when and how did you find out about and get into twewy
For me the way I found out abt it was very silly it was through flipnote Hatena LOL. Flipnote animations weren’t the only thing on there and one thing popular artists there liked to do was post Question Games. In which they write down fun questions on each individual page of a flipnote and post it unlocked (meaning anyone can download and edit it) and encourage their followers to add their answers and then upload it for the creator to see.
Around early 2010 ish I found one of those from an artist I liked so I downloaded it and near the end of the flipnote the creator put in a quiz of naming random characters from animanga and games and having the person filling out flipnote write the name of the IP the character was from to test their Knowledge. A lot of them were from popular shows but the final one (which the creator called a Bonus Round) stumped me it was asking me to name what IP the character “Daisukenojo Bito” was from and I had No idea. Later after I posted my answers I went looking at other ppls flipnotes that were uploaded as a response and I found one where the person knew Every character from the quiz section (though in hindsight they probably just looked up every name online) and I saw the answer to what Daisukenojo Bito was from: The World Ends With You.
Just the title alone caught my attention bc I found it really cool. I thought it might’ve been the name of an anime or something so I looked it up and went on the Wikipedia page and got really interested to see it was a DS game. I tried to read through the article but everything (thankfully) went over my head and the only thing that Stuck in my brain was the one screenshot showcasing the dual screen battle system in the Combat section of the article. I was curious so completely on a whim I downloaded the game onto my TTDS card just to have it on there and started playing it a few days later. Then my life was changed forever lmao
anyways pls tell me how you got into twewy I’d love to knowe 🥺🙏

So this is a big pot of headcanon with a dash of analysis sprinkled in, but I keep thinking about Izzy oh so briefly captaining The Revenge and how he was probably, maybe definitely going to go back for Ed.
Okay, hear me out. You’re Izzy Hands and your entire existence (as far as we currently know) revolves around Blackbeard. It literally doesn’t matter how badly things are going because you are always, always going to serve him in whatever fucked-up way you think is best. Everything else is just performative venting. Furious that you’ve spent years managing his erratic moods and he treats it like a joke, promising that this time you’re finally going to resign? Never-mind, give it an hour and you’ve cooled down enough to apologize for that—you never really meant it. Passive-aggressively packing up a dinghy to sail away to parts unknown, definitely never going to speak to him again? Haha, right. A single pat on the back and an “I need you” puts things right, so much so that the touch has you gasping (thanks, GIFers) and his praise brings one of the few genuine smiles to your face. You’re literally banned from the ship Ed is currently (co)captaining? Big deal! Just betray everything else you stand for by teaming up with a woman whose establishment you profess to hate, assisting the British and their disgusting King, all so that you can get back together again. That’s totally the obvious solution here.
Izzy is so singularly focused on Ed that the idea that he’d just sail off on The Revenge post-Act of Grace is like… impossible to me? It’s just straight up not on the table. Because yeah, Izzy appears pleased to be in charge, but this is also the guy who was offered a captaincy already and kinda grimaced about it, going, “I suppose it could be me, yeah,” which is not exactly an enthusiastic response. Izzy comes across as happy that Ed would think him capable of such a position—insert his desperate need for acknowledgment here, coming right on the heels of Ed dismissing his other work—but actually having it? Nah. Because where’s Ed in that picture? On a totally different ship, separate from Izzy, which is unthinkable.
So this is Izzy Hands, newly minted captain of The Revenge, suddenly in charge of this crew… what else is he going to do with all that new power except use it to go after Ed? Maybe it’ll be a raid on the training facility. Or maybe Izzy will let him stew for a while until he attacks whatever ship Ed is forced to serve on. After all, this is Izzy’s Revenge now, a possessive that applies not just to the literal ship, but its implied meaning too: you tossed me aside for that gentry twat, so now I’m going to make you suffer for a while before oh-so-magnanimously allowing you to reclaim your place as my Captain. Izzy is petty, but his priorities, as far as we’ve got in season one, are laser-focused. I’ve yet to see a version of him that would actually pack up this crew and sail them away, leaving Ed to the fate he’d carved out for himself. Izzy is all about changing Ed’s fate, whether Ed actually wants that or not.
Which makes Izzy’s speech to the crew pretty interesting, if read through the lens of, ‘Izzy will eventually go after Ed again, no duh.’ Because he certainly doesn’t come across like he’s lying to the others about their place here and that, to me, speaks to the idea that Izzy doesn’t actually prefer the Kraken version of Blackbeard that he gets in the end. He just wants Ed, however he can get him. “Work hard, keep a spring in your step, and you'll all have a long tenure aboard Izzy’s Revenge!” Oh okay, so you’re actually planning to keep everyone? Despite how useless you’ve constantly proclaimed them to be? Izzy should hate everyone here—should be sailing towards the nearest port to pick up a crew of “real” pirates who are both skillful and know nothing about the “spewer” business—and yet he’s almost gleefully imagining this nebulous future where Stede’s crew has stuck around. Izzy gives this speech while seated at a table, eating, napkin tucked to keep his shirt clean, telling Fang that his food needs more salt. It’s almost like, oh, I don’t know… he enjoys supposedly fancy things like a good, proper meal? Sure, it’s not fine china and he definitely doesn’t have Stede’s table manners, but it’s a telling position to put him in while trying to gain the respect of the crew. Izzy is the guy whose immediate thought after eating his own toe is to summon Lucius—another guy he supposedly hates—to take notes on their next proceedings because I guess “real” pirates do keep scribes/sketch artists now. The closest thing Izzy has to a heart-to-heart with Ed is while Ed is dressed in one of Stede’s flouncy shirts and bright red pants, but Izzy doesn’t really have a problem with that. Nor does he have a problem with Ed retiring—only the practicality of achieving that (“The only retirement we get is death”) and the idea that this retirement might not include him. If Ed retires then Izzy should be the next Blackbeard and… no. That can’t happen. The two of them split? Unthinkable. Izzy’s lackluster response to the suggestion seems in part due to him trying to wrap his head around the very casual way Ed suggests they go their separate ways.
Really, I don’t think Izzy fully knows what he wants beyond something, something stay at Ed’s side—that’s part of the problem—but at this point I’m personally convinced that his hang-ups have far more to do with Stede than any of the genderqueer, “namby pamby” stuff that Ed is taking an interest in. He indulges Ed’s cloud-gazing and is legit impressed when it turns out to have been part of an escape plan all along. Yet Izzy is far less indulgent of Ed’s wandering focus when he’s gushing over Stede’s trinkets. The two of them switching clothes in a display of intimate fun is rage inducing. But Ed lounging in fancy clothes, talking about how soon they’ll be his clothes as “Stede Bonnet” is fine. Izzy sneers at the silk gown, yeah, but he’s far more concerned with how Ed wears the gown to pine for his boyfriend. Stede is the common denominator that tips Izzy from the realm of ‘This is weird and I don’t like it but fine if it’s really what you want I’ll deal. I’m gonna bitch about it though’ into “Edward better watch his fucking step.” Though there’s absolutely internalized homophobia and toxic masculinity at play here—how could there not be?—I think the underlying problem is not Ed’s interest in traditionally feminine things, or his desire for a less violent form of pirating, or even the idea of a full-blown retirement… the problem is that he’s exploring all that with Stede instead of Izzy.
Izzy’s brief captaincy, if we read it under the belief that he’d return to Ed like he always has before, is basically a setup to give Ed everything else that he wants; everything but Stede. Here, you can have your stupid fancy ship. You can have your dumb, “talk it through” crew that doesn’t actually know how to pirate. You can have a scribe to write about all your adventures. You can wear your flouncy clothes. You can eat at the table and tell bedtime stories and, hell, even treat pirating as a casual hobby done to stave off boredom while you spend the rest of your time pretending to be an aristocrat. You’re the boss, Boss.
The only thing you can’t do is fall in love with Stede Fucking Bonnet, rendering me not just useless, but unwanted.
Before the mutiny, I wonder if Izzy had dreams of rescuing Ed (again), trying to get through to him (again) only this time everything is better because Ed may have already gotten sick of Stede while forced to fold clothes together. Or maybe they were separated after training. Maybe Stede even died! And here comes Izzy, offering piracy and all those fancy perks. You can have both, Ed. You can get both provided it’s with me, not him. Banish Stede from the ship in a duel and it’s fine. Rescue just Ed with the stupid crew and it’s fine. All the fancy stuff is fine, just not the man who introduced you to them.
But of course, the mutiny happens and wouldn’t that have been a shock? Because Izzy used to be able to command others. We saw it with Fang and Ivan, Fang in particular changing over the course of the season. He moves from letting Izzy pull his beard and asking what the point of complaining would be, hissing on Izzy’s command at the others, Ivan responding to his order against Stede’s men hidden in the woods... to lounging for Lucius and proudly proclaiming that “Izzy the Spewer” will just have to wait, he’s not the boss of him (anymore). Izzy can’t lead through fear like he once did and retroactively trying to reach the crew on their terms by talking it through doesn’t work either, not when they’ve already decided to be rid of him: “Okay, okay! Maybe, maybe we got off to a bad start. But, what, what, what, what can I do differently, huh? I'm open to suggestions!” Whatever fantasies Izzy might have had fall apart the moment Wee John laughs at the idea of him being in charge.
It all goes off the rails but then Ed returns, alone, but he’s still in love with Stede. He’s still pining for his boyfriend. Izzy can handle a Blackbeard that wants tea in his quarters, or who spends days in bed (already been managing that), or who wants the occasional talent show instead of a raid. Blackbeard, like a Viceroy, can do whatever the fuck he wants. Izzy might complain bitterly about it, but he’s never actually denied Ed whatever supposedly crazy whim has entered his head. Amidst all the ‘Keep the crew from mutinying while I take a depression nap, Izzy’ and ‘Follow the ship of the weird Gentleman Pirate, Izzy’ and ‘Tell me what you think about clouds, Izzy’ orders that he’s grudgingly gone along with, the singular thing Izzy won’t do is what reverts Ed back to the point where, when Izzy really did leave, for the first time in presumably ever, all it got from Ed was a shrug of indifference and a “That’s that.” Izzy will put up with anything—a Blackbeard turned soft “Stede Bonnet,” or a horrifically violent Kraken—provided he remains Ed’s focus. Ed can have whatever he wants... except the love of another man. He can’t have Stede.
But, of course, when push comes to shove Stede is the only thing Ed really wants. He already loves him. He’ll trade in all the finery — even their freedom — for the chance to have Stede kiss him on the beach, exactly as he is. Which is fantastic for them! But not so great for Izzy “jilted wife” Hands.
Which, you know, on any average day got me like

The MC Accidentally Kisses the Brothers
Due to incredibly popular demand (and because it’s a cute prompt).
Lucifer
It was just a childish prank, but pretty much all of Satan’s pranks were childish at their core (even the more homicidal ones).
This one wasn’t even that bad in the grand scheme of things. The angry boi was just trying to see if he could get Lucifer to fall down the stairs...
...admittedly, saying it out loud makes it sound much more cruel than intended. But this is Lucifer we’re talking about. A tumble down a flight or two wouldn’t leave him too injured… Unfortunately for Satan, he wasn’t the only one who took a tumbling.
The plan was pretty simple, put an enchantment on the stairs to the Conference Hall, lay in wait, and trigger it right as Lucifer was leaving a meeting. He’s always the last to go, so it should have been foolproof.
But the MC hung back to leave with Lucifer that day and just so happened to jump forward right as Satan was timing his step… getting themselves thrown down along with him.
Fortunately for them both, the firstborn’s reflexes were astounding. He was already holding the MC in his demon form and cushioning their fall before they could even hit the first stair. And it was quite a long way down…
By the time they hit the bottom, Lucifer had them fully wrapped up in his wings and Satan couldn’t what had happened until they unfolded… whereupon he saw the MC laying on top of Lucifer with their lips far FAR too close together for his liking…
Yeah, that backfired pretty hard and Satan was left fuming over it for days… Not that Lucifer minded in the slightest.
Mammon
Sometimes when Mammon does his photoshoots he brings the MC along as one part cheerleader, one part pit crew. It’ll be their job to hold onto his stuff, make sure he has enough to drink, and generally stand there and be impressed by his awesomeness until they leave.
Well that day things had been going well… until a particularly nosy worker started hovering around the MC too much for Mammon’s liking.
He tried to put it past him, since he had a shoot to do and all, but he snapped about halfway through when the guy kept trying to force a conversation with the very not interested MC.
Oh, he was ready to tell him off. He made the photographer stop mid-shoot just so he could march over there himself and give that asshole a piece of his mind! He was going to absolutely tear him to shreds and then-!!
Okay, that didn’t exactly happen because right as he got up to the MC, ready to start shouting, our lovable moron tripped… again…
But unlike the first time, where he more or less face-planted the floor, this time he smacked lips first into a surprised MC in front of the jerk he was trying to scare off.
… Yeah. He meant to do that.
And that’s exactly how he played it off, keeping his lips right where they were and flipping the other guy off so he’d leave them alone (which, thankfully, he did).
Totally what he intended to do and he'll swear so to this day.
Leviathan
… how in the world do you mess up the Kabedon?
Levi had seen the move done hundreds of times before in anime. It’s a very simple concept: put someone up against a wall, put one of your hands by their head, and just lean. That’s it. Not rocket science.
Levi had been mentally preparing himself for this moment for days… He may or may not have even practiced this (very simple) move in his room countless times. He genuinely thought he was ready to try it on the MC.
So, on one of those rare days he went to RAD, he gave it a shot. He waited until he and the MC were walking alone together, got them up against the wall, annnnd…
...rather than touching the wall next to them, his hand completely missed any sort of hard surface because in his panic he stopped them right next to a blind corner…
Naturally, his body fell forward some but since there wasn’t that much space between them by that point he uh… he… well he now knows their preferred Chapstick.
No matter what the MC’s reaction ultimately was, he leapt away from them like he just licked an electric fence and bolted.
His embarrassment genuinely cannot be overstated... He practically broke a window in his attempt to get the hell out of there and back to his room, where he didn’t leave for three days straight… Poor Levi...
Satan
It started out as easily one of the best days of his life.
The MC, the exchange students, and the Royal Court had all decided to surprise him on his birthday with a Devildom-style cat cafe… Kitties were on practically every surface around him!
Admittedly, Satan had been pretty distracted throughout most of his time there. There were just so many kitties for him to see that he sort of forgot about the MC in the process…
So in order to get his attention a little, the MC thought it would be cute to pick up one of the furry bundles and hold it in front of their face, doing that little thing where you pretended to “talk” for the cat and even waved one of its little paws at him.
They hadn’t predicted that Satan would find the display utterly, heart-meltingly adorable...
He attempted to plant a kiss on top of the furry critter’s head at the exact time that the MC brought the cat down their face entirely.
It took Satan a second or two to register that his lips were not, in fact, on a cat. And when he pulled back to see the MC’s shocked expression, the full gravity of his actions smacked him in the face like a falling log…
Cue a flustered rush to apologize while the MC hid their face back behind the confused kitty… Getting an accidental kiss in front of the prince of Hell and literal angels was pretty dang embarrassing...
At least the incident was taken in good spirits by most of the people in attendance (minus Luke, who was desperately trying to give MC his bottle of holy water like it was pepper spray by that point).
Though after that point, Satan noticed that his “guests” kept passive-aggressively giving him cats until he was literally so buried in fluff he could barely move… probably not related, though. Probably.
Asmodeus
It was another party night with Asmo and the MC at the Fall having a good time.
Now, Asmo was no stranger to Demonus and other assorted demonic beverages. You could say his tolerance is decent enough, but get a few too many in him and he does start to get a little off…
And a drunk Asmo is a very troublesome Asmo.
The MC, bless their heart, was pretty much playing the sober babysitter to their demon friend when Asmo decided that he HAD to leave the club and get cupcakes right then. Being the good person they were, MC agreed to go with him, as long as he promised to stay with them and not wander off…
But they somehow managed to lose him within three blocks from the club. All they did was check their phone for directions and the guy bailed!!
Little did the MC know, while they were frantically searching for him Asmo hadn’t run away completely… He had just decided it was a great idea to play hide-and-seek at 2am and hid behind a nearby building.
It was his drunken giggling that eventually gave away his position, but he jumped out from behind the corner right as the MC was rounding it. Naturally, they both to collided. If hugging hadn’t been an instinctual action to Asmo by they point, they would have fallen down…
All they did ended up doing instead was getting caught in lip-lock due to Asmo’s sudden vice-grip.
Apparently he laughed and laughed all the way back to the House but his memory of it is pretty hazy… He’ll just have to get the MC to reenact it with him a few dozen times, that ought to jog his memory!
Beelzebub
The MC was helping Beel out with his workout yet again and things had been going well.
Since Beel is pretty much a one-man army, his weights and routine are usually waaay too advanced for any human to be able to handle. So the MC is less his spotter and more a casual supporter/motivator than anything else.
And motivation was just what they were trying to provide with a fun little experiment of theirs…
Ever heard of the “carrot-on-the-stick”? Well they decided to try something like that… literally. Just replace the carrot with a roast ham!
They put ham on a fishing pole, set Beel up on a treadmill, and dangled it closer or farther away based on his speed. In theory, it wasn’t the worst idea in the world... but in practice…?
Well. Someone should have told them not to stand in front of him during this little trial...
Their motivation experiment did work for a few minutes… But soon enough Beel’s stomach got the better of his (marginal) self-control. They just weren’t expecting him to leap over the top of the treadmill...!
The smart thing to do would have been to drop the fishing pole or to just keep it still so Beel could grab the meat, but the MC reflexively drew the pole back behind them… thus putting them right in Beel’s path instead.
And that’s how they ended up caged under lord knows how many pounds of Beelzebub, thankfully kissing their lips rather than trying to chew them off…
Needless to say, Beel climbed off of them, red as a cherry, and the MC let him have that ham before the two agreed to never try this again. Whoopsie!
Belphegor
Belphie likes sleep.
Belphie likes cuddles.
Belphie likes cuddling in his sleep.
Really this was bound to happen eventually…
The MC and Belphie were having a nice nap together in the attic and there wasn’t anything nefarious about it. Just two people snuggled up together in the same bed.
...snuggled up very close together in the same bed.
So close, in fact, that when the MC finally woke up and rolled over some to reposition themselves, they felt the soft lips of their companion brush up against their own.
They, of course, had the appropriate reaction of shock and embarrassment to this… but this cheeky fucker just smirked at them and let one eye slip open.
“What…? Is that it? It’ll take more than that to wake me up…”
Never mind the fact he was awake the whole time...
He really should have expected that pillow to the head, but after they struck the first blow, it was on now.
Don't worry. As it would turn out, an impromptu pillow fight also wakes him up just fine. Who'd have guessed?

As someone who used to read quite a lot of Buddie fics, but watches the OG there does tend to be quite a few fics about the whole Eddie abandoning Buck thing or just playing up the Buck is a victim card. However, I think those tend to be the ones that focus more on the individual storylines for Buck/Eddie that happened in S3 and another incident that happened to Buck in S5 in order to construct their characterization of both Buck/Eddie instead of their individual complexities. (There was a whole fandom controversy that happened this year because of this in terms of the portrayal of BIPOC characters vs victim Buck in fics. But that is a whole other complex conversation.) But yeah, I do agree there are people in the Buddie fandom (and otherwise) who tend to get lost in their version of these two characters/their relationship to the point where they harass the writers, people in the fandom (and a journalist once 😖) for not writing/talking about their relationship in the way they want. It's harder to do out in the wild (i.e. other social media sites), but blocking people on here has really done wonders for my enjoyment in interacting with the fandom on both fronts. Anyway, I get what the anon is saying. The impressions I get of the characters (in crossover fics) varies depending on which show is the main focus of the story, which makes sense to me since you're seeing the story through the eyes of how the authors perceive and portray each show and its characters. It's interesting to see what different people focus on and pull from regardless of what I know about/how I personally perceive the characters through each show.
Interesting. I am so 10000% for shipping literally whatever you want, like I do not care if it's toxic or immoral or whatever like think your little thoughts friend, do you! But I draw such a hard line at involving the real people in it lol. Tweeting fandom shit at the actors/writers/creators/whoever else is such a hard no for me, even if you're doing it in a positive way. So harassing a journalist is NOT GREAT! And yeah I like ... again, know nothing at all of Buddie other than a handful of crossover fanfics, but another unfortunate regular fandom occurrence is woobifying the white character and giving the BIPOC character negative traits, or like making them angrier or more aggressive or more violent than they are in canon. I genuinely don't think the majority of people do this on purpose but it does happen, and part of the work of learning to be anti-racist is recognizing that and learning to stop it before it starts. Letting characters of colour be soft and sensitive and cared-for is so important. i'm so firmly on the train of soft Carlos literally for this reason, like he is a cop, he's physically large, he's a person of colour, he's portrayed in the show as very confident, but we are gonna let him be soft dammit. We are gonna let him be quiet and insecure and anxious and TK is gonna give him absolutely all the snuggles.

2011 season summary
Well, well, well. I had very little to say about 2010 but 2011 brought its fair share of interesting stuff.
On the formal and technical side of things :
There was a change of tyre supplier as Pirelli came back to F1. It took a bit of getting used to for the teams and drivers and there were a LOT of pit stops in some races, with most races necessitating 3 stops.
There also was a controversy around the diffuser specifications and engine mapping, the FIA rebuking its own decisions on the matter then reinforcing them, then granting concessions then revoking them when teams complained. Look I don’t understand it completely but my point is the FIA was already a clown show.
The McLaren F-duct was banned but the DRS was introduced and most if not all the teams used KERS following an increase in the weight limit.
The stewards got awarded more power and became more severe, with Lewis receiving a record 6 penalties throughout the season (and that explains, in part, why he had such a reputation at the time – that’s no clean driving even though a couple of those were arguable).
On Lewis :
So it was a bad season for Lewis. First off, he was really frustrated with McLaren’s performance that year, be that on the engineering or on the mechanical side of things. There was seriously bad strategy, there were terrible pit stops, there was a lack of good upgrades. The 2009 car was a disaster (like a W13 level disaster for those of you who didn’t know). The 2010 car was better, but not good enough (average finish position for Lewis, admitting 0 for DNFs, was 3.1). The 2011 car performance did not progress much compared to 2010 (same average finish position, actually), and Lewis is growing impatient.
We begin to noticeably hear this discourse about being part of a team and having to rely on other people to race (e.g. China, Singapore), and thus having to motivate them to give their everything just as he does. And so in the subtext, you understand that he believes this is not the case at the moment. You can tell he’s frustrated because he genuinely believes he’s driving the best he can (which is arguable, I’m getting there) and he seems to feel like his team is letting him down, holding him back.
On the one hand, I agree with 2011 Lewis. McLaren is not good enough while his driving is, in some races, absolutely undeniably pure magic (e.g. China, Germany, Singapore, Korea).
On the other hand, 2011 Lewis has much much work to do on himself. It’s a continuation, an escalation even, of what I said about him in 2010. He makes many mistakes. I mean– as I said, he got 6 penalties throughout the season, and that was a new record! He continuously crashed into Massa, to the point that Massa did not want to talk to him anymore. So many contacts with other drivers! AND SO. MUCH. BAD. FAITH. 2011 Lewis did not apologise, did not reflect, did not accept his mistakes. His recklessness, his unwillingness to take responsibility, his habit of blaming the team are holding him back as much as McLaren is, imo.
Niki Lauda himself berated him after his fight with Jenson in Canada, as discussed during the European GP, saying as much as he believes Lewis is one of the 3 best drivers in F1, he is pushing too hard, taking too many risks. He deemed him aggressive and said the smaller guys would move out of the way when they saw him in their mirrors, but the others, like Jenson, wouldn’t yield so easily, wouldn’t indulge him, and if he kept going then he would make them both crash and cost his team a lot of points. (And yeah, I know who that reminds you of...)
However, it was a really tough time for him, as we saw especially in the last few races and that interview I posted. Lewis fired his dad as his manager that season. We know that it created a big conflict between them and throughout his whole family. It took years for them all to heal from that, so you can imagine what it must have been like at the time, how heavy it must have weighed on his mind. He had little entourage at the races. His relationship with Nicole was on and off. He felt lonely and unhappy, and he said so. If you add on top of that the fact that McLaren wasn’t good enough to cheer him up with success and wins, his frustration with the team and the strategy and the car, AND (let’s not forget) the fact that for the first time, his team-mate was better than him in the WCC standings... I mean yeah. 2011 Lewis had good reasons to be unwell, unmotivated, and defensive.
So it’s a bit dark at the moment. Hopefully things brighten up a little bit in 2012? I guess we’ll see!
Let’s talk numbers : so far, I’ve completed 29.9% of my rewatch. In total, I’ve made 570 GIFs to illustrate it.
Here’s a list of the 2011 GPs with a roughly two-sentence summary and the link to the actual recap if you wanna read it or take a look at the GIFs I made :
1. Australian GP : it’s Sergio Perez’ rookie year. KERS is back + enter DRS. Loads of DNF. Lewis’ car has an issue but still ends up P2.
2. Malaysian GP : frontrow start. Extremely fast Renaults? Light rain. Double overtake. CONTACT! A dislodged steering wheel?! Lewis P7...? (actually P8, see Chinese GP)
3. Chinese GP (part 1 & part 2) : Lewis talks about being frustrated with the team + penalty. Problem with the engine! Amazing race! Lewis wins! Very happy and emotional.
4. Turkish GP : terrible start. So many pit stops?! Loads of overtaking, nice race to watch. Lewis P4.
5. Spanish GP : boring race. Nice Seb - Lewis fight at the end. Lewis P2.
6. Monaco GP : still strategy issues at McLaren. Botched pit stops. Bad faith Lewis is back? Penalty. Red flag?! ANOTHER PENALTY?! Lewis P6...
7. Canadian GP : it’s wet. SC start. Contact. Almost contact? CONTACT AGAIN. DNF. Red flag. Rihanna. Bad faith Lewis is definitely back. Have I ever seen the SC that much? Unbelievable end, proud brother Lewis.
8. European GP : Niki Lauda talks about Lewis. Tidy race. Extremely boring. P4. Pace (and strategy?) issues again.
9. British GP : rainy quali. Terrible McLaren performance. Slight rain? Daniel’s first race. Unbelievable start. Controversial P4. Rash driving again, frustration with the team again.
10. German GP : great quali, great start. Very close fight. Nice race to watch. Lewis wins! Happy, emotional Lewis.
11. Hungarian GP : pitstop contest segment. Wet. FIRE! Rain. PENALTY? FOR WHAT?! P4. Also possibly bad strategy again.
12. Belgian GP : chaotic start. Crash! DNF. Frustration.
13. Italian GP : chaotic start again. Big crash. Beautiful racing. P4. He’s clearly frustrated.
14. Singapore GP : tension with Massa. Bad start. Contact AGAIN. Penalty. Unbelievable comeback, twice. P5. Was the penalty fair?
15. Japanese GP : stupid quali mistake. Puncture. Bad performance? Contact yet again... With Massa yet again... P5. Seb wins the WDC.
16. Korean GP : Lewis on pole! But weird mood. Good start. Light rain. Beautiful racing again! P2. It doesn’t cheer him up. RBR wins the WCC.
17. Indian GP : first Indian GP. Penalty for Lewis. Bad faith Lewis. Weird mood ongoing. Boring race. Guess what? Contact with Massa. P7.
19. Abu Dhabi GP (part 1 & part 2) : important Lewis segment. Seb DNF. Lewis wins! It does cheer him up.
20. Brazilian GP : boring. DNF.

I hope this isn’t to vulgar to ask but have you experienced men of every rising sign? More so would you be able to speak on the genitalia of all the eighth house signs in men you’ve encountered? I would like to see if there is any merit in the general depictions of the eighth house when it comes to sex organs
Haha you’re fine my love! I don’t mind being of help!
I personally attract virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Scorpio rising men the most. I have had sexual encounters with men of all 12 zodiac signs and I’ve managed to get rising signs for a great deal of them! Sadly I can’t speak broadly on many of the rising signs considering the higher volume of the four I just mentioned being the majority of the ones that come my way.
Aries rising men: in my experience? Sweet, they are very much what you see is what you get types considering their entire chart is a reflection of the natural traits of all 12 zodiac signs in their comfortable houses. Sexually I would say their sexual organs look dark, like literally they have a darker tone then the rest of their body. They aren’t rough sexually but they can be very intense, if I could describe them? I’d say it felt like I was swimming in a pool at night with strobe lights at the bottom. They know how to have sex and it feels good, they are very much so emotionally available during and after. Very violent orgasams and can seem very spiritual during.
Taurus rising men: in my experience? Babies. They can be needy and distant at the same time, very weird mix. They want things at a very specific time and can be hard to compromise with especially sexually. the thing that stood out to me is how fast they ejaculate, and I don’t mean this in a bad way, they are just very easily aroused much like a literal bull. They tend to love foreplay but if you’re too good at it they’ll cum fast. They can be very vibrant and bubbly during sex lots of laughter, but if they’re not laughing they’re usually just super into it lmao. They have very big and long sexual organs. I wouldn’t say thick, I would say more like a long sword in typical sag style. They are very out of tune emotionally during sex so that’s the only downside.
Gemini rising men: in my experience? Sad boys. They got issues and they’re not good at hiding them. They can seem moody, aloof and slightly misunderstood. I can’t peg them sometimes, they seem like they have a mixture of mommy and daddy issues but then they can seem arrogant and self assured at a moments notice. Domination kinks and restriction plague them. I would say the sex is often sensual and deeply attentive in its nature. They want to feel all of it and none of it at the same time. Touch and physical intimacy is the thing they adore the most in sex and I think that’s what makes them so special. They’re really sweet and good natured and you get to see that part of them more freely during sex as contrary to the belief of Capricorn in the 8th these natives are tremendously affectionate and loving during sex. I will say that they get sad or more serious after climax and I have no idea wether Saturn does that or if it’s something deeper. They may be a bit on the smaller side when it comes to sexual organs in most cases but they know how to use it for sure. They are very horny like the goat
Cancer rising men: in my experience? I’ve dealt with some who have cap and others who have aqua in the 8th, for some reason the result is still similar in a way. They can be soooo receptive, they know what you need better than you do. They are present but not overbearing. They feel parental but in a way that feeds the parts of you that felt like they were missing something. I’d say sex always comes with a lesson with them. It’s never just casual sex. They tend to nurture during sex and can be very emotionally deep and connective during. They are definitely the type you spend the night with naturally or hang out with the next few days or unexpectedly end up dating. The sexual organs are usually pretty unique! Some curve, some have like those cute beauty marks on em. They also tend to be well hung.
Leo rising men: in my experience? I found them to be distant, perplexing and heavy. They seem a bit disengaged but can have moments of affectionate behavior and romantic burst that come from nowhere. Sexually though they can be passive, they feel real wet and liquidy I dunno how to describe it. Sex with them just feels very moist and like there’s a lot of fluids everywhere but idk it doesn’t feel like a bad thing. They precum a lot and can be very submissive. They are not horny per say? They are more on the “if you wanna” side of things. So Neptune and Jupiter rule Pisces so as you can already imagine these men tend to be packing some heat. They sorta dunno how to use it though? For some reason they have a very clumsy way of having sex as if they’ve never done it before? They don’t really have boundaries either so you’ll need to make sure to ask them if they’re okay cause a lot of the time they might not be.
Virgo rising men: in my experience? I’m gonna try and not be biased. These men are very ethereal. They are very quiet and genuine. They have this very honest and blunt way about doing and saying things. They carry a lot of pain though and you can see it in their eyes which I will say they have very intense eyes. Sexually? They are VERY passionate. They treat sex like a sport but not a fun sport, rather they treat it like a life or death ring match. They definitely pack a punch and will rock your shit. They can be deeply sensitive and intimate all the while being completely in tune with every part of you during sex in such a way that’ll make you feel like you’re freefalling. The genitals in my experience are veiny, very masculine in the way they look. Every time I see a guy with a Virgo rising it never ceases to amaze me how rough and aggressive their penis are. They are also very intense ejaculators and can be very big on equal ejaculation(my pleasure is your pleasure theme) contrary to the Aries myth, they can go and go and go for hours without cumming so as a warning please try and build your stamina
Libra rising men: in my experience? Confused? They can seem like they’re waiting for something to start but also won’t do anything to make something start. They can seem aggressive but are secretly hoping you make the first move. They are very touchy and very adorable in their being but they definitely can be the types to let the other person take the lead. One thing I’ve always liked about libra rising men is their cute butts and their charming way of seducing you without oversexualizing the situation. Sexually they are AMAZING Jesus. Once you get them going they will really run rampant. They are very sensual and they love slow touching and intimacy. They are emotionally present and can have a personality change during sex, they turn into a whole other Individual. A warning I will say is that they get very caught up in the moment and you’ll have to snap them out of it from time to time if they’re to caught up in the pleasure. They’re sexual organs like most fixed signs is pretty thick and heavy. In my experience the length is normal but the girth is what will really kill yah.
Scorpio rising men: in my experience? Fuck these guys are HOT. They don’t have to try very hard either which is annoying, they literally just exude this strong, mysterious and emotionally unavailable energy that makes you want to strip right in front of them. Are they into you? Do they care? Are you more into it then them? Who knows and they probably won’t tell you. They can be very manipulative and tend to gaslight(and I’m not joking about this nor am I jokingly using the term) they tend to have mental detachments from their emotions which can give them sociopath like tendecies. Sexually they are curious, very control oriented. They want to watch you go crazy so most times they leave you in charge. Riding is one of their favorite positions because they get to see you fein for them. They are senstive to your feelings during sex but don’t mistake this for them being emotionally invested in you, the Gemini in their 8th house is playing whatever role gets you to respond in the way they desire. They are very loving nonetheless when they do truly care for you. The sexual organs are usually very thick. I think they’re the ones who invented the word chode. The penis tends to be girthy and also has a pretty good length to it, and they definitely know how to work it.
Sagittarius rising men: in my experience? These guys are some fucking heartthrobs! I hate to say it but man they are so rugged and masculine you can’t help but love their boyish nature. They are definitely obnoxious, loud and ridiculously dense when it comes to reading the room. What makes them so hot though is how reckless they are with all things. They don’t give a shit. Sexually though? Emotions run HIGH they tend to be very drawn to feminine energy. A lot of guys like this adore feminity in all forms be it in men or women. If you have that feminine glow to you, they’ll eat you up. They tend to have a strong desire to impregnate and the idea of being connected and having that sort of emotional receptivity with the person their fucking drives them wild. They are very intense sexually and can be very overwhelming the first few times mainly because adjusting to them is impossible, you never know what emotional spectrum you’ll get. Their sexual organs aren’t that big, sometimes they can be girthy but most times long and or average size tends to be what I see more. Are they good at using it? Yeah, you’ll fall asleep right after trust me.
Capricorn rising men: in my experience? They are very unassuming. They are so fucking calm, so fucking unmoved and so fucking ahead of you every time. They don’t rush things and can really make you feel so comfortable with how respectful and real they are. They have a very boy next door or upstairs neighbor vibe to them. Sleeping with them feels naughty sometimes other times it feels like it was a long build up. Sexually they are exhibitionist. They definitely will fill the hell out of you with their more modest persona at first. They want to enjoy all parts of your body but they also want the show to be about them. They want to hear you want them, how good they make you feel, they want it to feel like a performance where the crowd is watching. And dare I say they are constantly mastering their art, sex gets better and better and better with them. There’s never a dull moment and every time they have sex with you it gets more personal, more intense, more all consuming. They have a high libido and they are practically insatiable. They are selfish but I will say this, if you can’t get them off they definitely will do it themselves. Their sexual organs are often brighter than the other parts of their body. Very pretty too look at and also a bit on the hairy side.
Aquarius rising men: In my experience? They can seem really standoffish and for a good reason. They tend not to like ignorance and the more they see you trying hard to relate to them the less they’ll acknowledge you. They like the idea of someone who is down for them but not the idea of someone who is groveling, don’t and I mean don’t by any means act like a fan. They tend to run hot and cold for ever even if they like you. Sexually they can be meticulously planning the whole thing. The meet up, the positions, the foreplay all of it. They tend to need warnining or to know both parties had time to clean up. They’re not ones for sex on the fly or random sex as it can lead to a lot of unnecessary accidents. They’re attentive and very much the types to make you feel like you’re clay and you’re being sculpted into something magnificent. Their amazing at sex, they are like gallileo, or Mozart when it comes to the act. They move around your body like a serpent, then a leaf in the wind, than rain touching your skin. They are more focused on your pleasure than theirs so orgasms/reaching climax can be tough for them. The sexual organs are pretty small or average in most cases. If mars/Jupiter or Neptune/Uranus is there that augments things.
Pisces rising men: In my experience? They are definitely ass men. Everything revolves around booty. They are definitely soft and very sweet, but they have a sweetness to them that is fake. The real them is far more serious and self aware then they give off. They know what they’re doing and they know what you’re doing, so don’t ever be fooled by the veil they put up. They’re incredible receptive and sensitive and a lot of their internal feelings come out at some point just not at the moment it needs to. Sexually they can very hotel sex types. Like I don’t know how to really explain it and it’s so opposite of what you would expect of libra but they are very impersonal people. Like sex can feel very romantic and as if they are treating you like a significant other but something about it is detached, far away and unavailable. They are good at creating the engagement aspect of sex but can fall short at the emotional part which is semi-strange considering what you’ll get up to that point. They are very experienced but at the same time they may need to be taught to connect a little deeper or to open up more. They have very soft and gentle sexual styles that will still make you feel cared for but sometimes in the back of it all you’ll still feel that “I’m fucking a stranger” vibe. Their sexual organs tend to be very beautiful, nice length and nice width. They’ll definitely be a lot better at the sex part once you guys are committed though.
So obviously this is a general word of mouth and does not take into account planets being in the 8th house nor does it mention decans which can greatly alter much of what I’ve said. And honestly you can apply the decan rule here if you’d like! Simply use the decan lord so if they’re a third decan Virgo rising and have Aries in the third decan in their 8th house which is Aries/Sagittarius: you would mix those interpretations. Anyways hope this helps love.

Who do you think katarina will end up with?
Anonymous asked: Who do you ship katarina the most with ?
I got these two questions consecutively, I'm assuming they are coming from the same person so I'll combine them to a single reply, if that's okay.
People who have been following me since the first season can probably tell that I really like Geordo x Katarina (GeoKata) the most out of all ships. At first it was mostly just because I have an unintentional biases towards characters with blonde hair, which is why favorites were GeoKata and MariaKata, but then when I slowly got into the series more, my biases permanently shifted to the G-boy.
I'm not really a fan of laying out why I like certain ships through test to be honest. I usually get super frustrated when zine mods ask contributors to explain why they like a character or ship for contributor spotlight graphics because I can never really say everything I feel correctly hgdsjsdgfj, which is a good thing someone had already asked me a similar question before so I'll just copy paste my response here if that's okay :DD
TLDR; I ship Katarina with Geordo (Maria, Sora and Cezar behind him), and I think Katarina will end up with Geordo :))
You didn't really ask why but I'll give it anyways :)) -> major light novel spoilers, by the way <-
I'm not really the most deep person, if a ship has the bare minimum of something that I like (a trope or a hair color combination) then I stan it hard. That's why I used to be so equally adoring to both Maria and Geordo, because hurrdurr blonde hair hurrdurr. But the more I read the books and got into the community, I eventually liked him more than Maria. I didn't understand how or why at first, since Geordo and Maria are undergoing a very similar character arc: both characters wants to become better people in order to become worthy of Katarina (Geordo emotionally, and Maria physically? magically? in terms of her position/social status? I can't think of a right word but you get it). Again, Maria and Geordo's struggles are similarly written but one of them is more compelling to me. I feel like Maria's problems are easier to solve (her inability to rely on people, her attention seeking and her desire to be more magically powerful) imo, since she's already a well-liked figure in the Ministry and she's already a high-level magic user. Geordo's though; the series doesn't put too much attention on it, but despite the fact that Katarina gave his life color, he still somewhat sees the world in a desaturated light even post-childhood according to the novels and his lack of empathy still prevents him from completely absorbing all the colors. He's still learning how to see and he is happy that Katarina is always there to help him learn how.
I just love the irony that Katarina sees Geordo as a Perfect Prince and feels that she is inferior and unworthy of him, but then Geordo also seems himself as flawed, inferior and unworthy of Katarina and sees her as someone perfect. Geordo constantly wants to be better for Katarina (and for the people around him), and in time, maybe he could become a motivation for Katarina to be better too (on Katarina's side though, because on Geordo's she doesn't have to because she's already perfect the way she is). Geordo, while being self-centered and aggressive in his pursuits, isn't always selfish and thinks about what Katarina wants too. He'd fight tooth and nail for her and will do whatever he can so that Katarina will love him in the same way, but that doesn't mean he wont respect her decision if she falls in love with someone else, he just wont lose without a fight that's all (and fight, he'll give that's for sure).
Geordo is crazy in love with her; wants to protect her happiness, keep her safe whenever he can, and is even willing to both fight to become king and throw away the life he currently knows if it means he can live a life where he and Katarina can be together wherever she is most content and happy. He wouldn't lock her up in the castle like a caged bird like what Keith and some fans of the series thinks, whenever he does have thoughts like that like in Volume 6, its his internal response to the lack time they can have together alone, rather than being indicative of how he wants to treat her (like in his desire in Book of Desires, he conjured up a literal honeymoon because a honeymoon is the only time where he can spend it with her alone without someone butting in! It's weird and exaggerated, but his desire is simply to just be able to spend a day with her and be able to pursue her romantically without the threat of people like Keith and Mary).
Katarina sees him for himself, and she extends her hand of friendship to him despite all her fears of her bad ends involving him. She knows he's a "sadistic prince" but doesn't always tie him to that title. Out of everyone, Katarina has just as bad, if not worse, initial impression of Geordo compared to almost everyone around him (Others sees him as a Perfect Prince while she sees him as a Sadistic Prince and Future Murderer), and yet she accepts him and wants to learn more about him. She supports him and wants him to find happiness in love with Maria, even if it means she'll get exiled to another country or to a far off farm! (i'll edit this with citations later)
I can't help but want that for him, someone who there for you through thick and thin, who supports him despite everything she knows about her future involving him. Katarina is everything he would ever want in a partner: someone who isn't disturbed by his past, can see through his fake smiles, constantly cares for him, sees him beyond his princely façade, is one of his first friends who has helped him create friendships with other as well that prevented him to wallow in isolation and hate of the version of himself that society created for him, is genuinely interested in him as a person, is endlessly fun to be around and unpredictable, and is overall beautiful inside and out.
Again, a lot of Maria and Geordo's struggles are very similar to each other, but I'm more interested in Geordo's side. I find it more compelling. Geordo's scenes always almost provides something new, we get to see him angry, flustered & embarrassed, scheming/conniving, possessive, grateful, sad & frustrated and so much more. Maria has that too (we get to see her sad and thankful), but this might be my own perspective of reading the novels, but Maria's scenes kinda feel the same to me. It almost always starts with Katarina helping her and her realizing time and time again how much she loves her and become more motivated to be a better version of herself. I mean its unfair to say that they are all the same but that might just be me. (Maria: wow I'm so grateful for everything Katarina has given me, I want to be with her forever (rinse and repeat for the next 5 books))
Yes I know it's beautiful to see Maria falling deeper and deeper in love with Maria, but I'd rather see moments of someone who is trying to advance on those feelings rather than someone who is still trying to understand what they feel. Declarations and descriptions of love are beautiful in literary works and it always gets my heart fluttering, but I can read fanfics if I want to see that be written in 8 or more ways. Give me some action, some internal conflict!
It also doesn't help that it makes me really really happy for Geordo that he's made a dent in Katarina's baka shield? Katarina's heart skipped and fluttered for a second when Geordo was patting her head, and it makes me want to root for him even more! (Yes, go break the bubble! You can do it!!)
It's not even the same doki-doki as when she gets charmed at how pretty Maria is, to me its different in a way that my small vocabulary can't explain.
And besides, it really is just a battle between the protagonist that almost ruined her life (Maria) and the love interest that almost ruined her life (Geordo). Keith is part of that equation too, but he was never a threat after they became close (narratively, its seriously just Maria vs Geordo vs Keith, ignoring the changes to that narrative by FL2). It's always about Geordo (and Maria), everything she's doing in the Fortune Lover 1 Arc is because of Geordo (and arguably, Maria & Keith too) and the consequences of where he decides her future to would lead to.
It has to be Geordo, in my opinion, to show her that things aren't the same as the game (and he already kinda has, just a dent though) (If not Geordo, it should be Maria). He, who she feared and yet cared for so much
(I know Fortune Lover 2 basically removes that importance of Geordo and Maria specifically to Katarina's narrative by making her an active problem in all routes, finally becoming loyal to the title "All Routes Lead to Doom", but its not like the story is digging into Katarina's brain that she's sword training for the purpose of fighting back against all the boys, its still just Geordo, so idk I still count that in my shipper brain)
It also also helps that Geordo is basically the poor bullied animal in the hamefura community's eyes, regardless of how far he is into the battle (like in the reddit discord lmao). Yeah he has the best chances which is why many people both in and out of the series find it so fun to drag him under because of his unfair advantage, which is fair, but just like how you feel when you see a small wounded animal, you can't help but want to help someone who has the whole world against him (there's literally a canon manga page with that joke lmao), which is how I eventually felt over time. He's so misunderstood and bullied by people despite the authors dedication to flesh him out more beyond being a possessive prince fiancé of Katarina because of the anime's adaption, so I'd rather give my biases to someone who needs (and deserves it) rather than other contenders who are already overflowing with love and support. Also who doesn't love a perfect guy who breaks when his beloved is harm/who opens up to the person he cares about most?
I know people will read this and find it unfair that Katarina is giving so much to Geordo, but he isn't really giving anything to her. One thing I'll agree that Maria has over Geordo is that Maria makes Katarina want to try and work hard. Seeing Maria improve her magic wants Katarina to do the same, and whether or not it's from motivation or fear of getting left out depends on the reader. So far we don't really have anything like that for Katarina with Geordo because most things involving Geordo intimidates her, compared to Maria who is surrounded by mysteries and adventure (though arguably it's Katarina and not her lmao, but Kat doesn't know that).
Katarina is already the most well-adjusted character in the story even as a child so the only thing to really explore from her is mostly just her relationships and skewed sense of reality. That's why I hope that Geordo will not only help her realize that she can be loved by her peers romantically despite her self-perceived position/role, but also be one of the persons to make her completely realize that she isn't living inside a game. I mean like I said a few paragraphs ago, he's already kinda doing it by constantly confessing his feelings to her, reminding her that he is a person with his own feelings and not a character programmed to fall for a heroine.
So yeah, I ship Katarina with Geordo for those reasons and believe they should end up together for those reasons.
If you ask me who I think would she end up with objectively, I'd still say Geordo. The author's focus jumps between Geordo and Maria so that really depends on who you're asking. It also doesn't help that Geordo is always in the marketing with Katarina in the books and games, which pretty much cements his Male Lead status to Katarina's Female Lead status lmao
Thank you for the ask lmao, I'll be updating this with more thoughts and possibly citations later :))

What does modern feminism do that you don't agree with? This is genuine btw
A couple things before I start:
- This is not meant to bash all the feminists out there unless they fit into what I’m saying. I know there are good feminists out there
- When I say ‘you’ I’m not meaning you, I’m saying it in a general way
-I hope I get my point across and it’s clear. I sometimes struggle with that
Also I’m sorry this is so long and it’s in no particular order and I hope none of this comes across as being aggressive or anything
~~
A lot of my issues with the movement boils down to attitudes. To me, that is very telling of its true colors. And I do try not to necessarily judge an entire movement from just the bad people because I know that isnt fair, although I do feel like the bad feminists have taken over the movement and end up drowning out the good voices and that’s why we hear more negativity than positivity.
One thing that I have issue with the lack of respect towards those that disagree whether it’s with the movement itself or it’s a particular thing. For a movement that preaches about a woman’s choice, I don’t feel that really happens like it should. I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong here but depending on what the topic is I get a general impression like you’re not really supposed to disagree with what’s being side. You do and you might have someone lash out at you (that’s another point I have). Or if you say you’re anti feminist, you have people coming up with these reasons why they think you are; one being internalized misogyny  and you get called a pick-me which I find a bit insulting.  I should be able to have an opinion without someone assuming I’m trying to get a man’s attention or I can’t think for myself or I hate other girls. That isn’t it! Wouldn’t you think that is misogynistic?
And if it’s not  internalized misogyny, then there are other factors; her being white (which usually then goes on to sound racist)  or it’s because she has money or  internalized racism or whatever they come up with. And it sounds condescending and that just bugs me. Hey, maybe instead of some underlying reason, we just don’t agree.
or you have people try to stick the label on anyway.
‘If you believe in equality you’re a feminist’
The label means nothing. I don’t understand why some will focus on this so much. I don’t want to be called a feminist. I don’t need to. In the same way, it’s not necessary for me to refer to myself as an MRA (men’s rights activist). And yeah, I know this says it’s an “MRA blog” that’s what I had when I started. But ultimately, the label isn’t important. I’m all for equality. It’s cool, it’s great. But I see this sort of thing (online that is) being forced on people and the thing is, with that wording it makes it sound like the movement is all inclusive when it’s not. You have to have certain politics and for the most part (unless you’re a religious feminist) you have to be pro choice otherwise you’re not a ‘real’ feminist.
My next issue is all the aggression. You can just tell sometimes with how people respond online or if you catch a video that someone posted. And not only that, but how quickly people fall into name-calling or just all around acting like a child. And for the most it seems pretty acceptable to some because it keeps happening. It’s not hard to find on this site or otherwise. If you can’t communicate your opinions about something without having a fit or blocking someone (excluding if they just keep harassing you) then you’re not mature enough. That shows me you don’t really care about having a real discussion. And some can say that it happening on here is probably done by teenagers and to an extent they’re probably right. But it happens on other sites and in real life as well and it’s more than just teens. It’s people my age and older and that’s not cool.
And then we have  how some like to ignore the differences between men and women. Sure, yes, there are many things a woman can do just like a man but we also have to acknowledge our differences.  I don’t see a lot of that with some forms of feminism. STEM, for example, is something I would attribute the differences more to just how men and women tend to be rather than sexism. Could there be certain circumstances where it is sexism? Sure, I suppose you can’t rule it out entirely. Otherwise I would say it’s just what they’re happy doing. I know girls who are doing science stuff or business things but I also know girls who are going to be teachers or psychologists or nurses. It’s not that they're actively being told by everyone that they can’t do it(I suppose unless they live in some other country like that). That’s just what they want to do, you know, their choice. Just like how some men go towards a job like with computers or farming or they’re pre-school teachers or gynecologists.
I found an interesting fact (source will be posted below) that said women are actually preferred over men two-to-one for faculty positions. The study was done by psychologists from Cornell University with professors from 371 colleges/universities in the US. It also noted that: “recent national census-type studies showing that female Ph.D.s are disproportionately less likely to apply for tenure-track positions, yet when they do they are more likely to be hired, in some science fields approaching the two-to-one ratio revealed by Williams and Ceci.”
Yet, we need to ask ourselves honestly, how often do facts like these get passed around vs the idea that women are suffering from misogyny and therefore are unable to fully represent in STEM jobs?
The next thing I want to address is misandry. Now there are a good portion of people who don't think it exists or if it does, it's really not much of an issue because of the "power" and the "privilege" men have within society. And to me, I have a problem with that. If feminism is supposed to be for men as well, I would think they would want to combat misandry as well as misogyny. If someone really doesn't think it exists, I would suggest that the person really take a look at what goes on in real life and online that's directed towards men.
There's the whole "male tears" thing which is on coffee mugs and t-shirts. There's the kill all men/yes all men thing. All of which are supposed to be jokes and if a man says something about it he gets mocked for his "fragile masculinity"
That's just not okay. They're being immature and a bully which they usually try to justify (men have done this and that throughout history to women) but you just can't.
I found this article, this really really atrocious article. It's one of those open letter things and found on this feminist website (feminisminindia) and I almost believed it to be satire with how.... stereotypically Tumblr it was. I did research and looked at the info regarding the site and nope, it's a serious site. I'll post the article below but I'll also summarize it:
Basically this woman is telling the men in her life that she will not stop saying "men are trash or other radical feminist opinions." She's saying it because women and others have suffered so much at the hands of the patriarchy because they're not straight white men. She goes on to say:
So let’s establish: misandry isn’t real. Just like unicorns and heterophobia, misandry is a myth because it isn’t systematic or systemic. Unlike misogyny, cis men don’t face oppression purely based on their gender. While they may encounter instances of racism, homophobia and ableism, they are not dehumanised as a function of their gender identity (read: cis privilege).
That is wrong. Absolutely wrong. Misandry is real. "Cis" people do face oppression purely based on their gender. Anyone can. To deny that lacks understanding.
And the rest is just saying that: It is time to start hating on men-as-a-whole and starting celebrating the men that you are.
And: Because at the end of the day, feminists need men. Whether it’s because you wield structural power or because we genuinely value your existence, we need to band together to destroy ‘men’ because men are trash, but you, if you made it to the end of this, are probably not. Prove me right.
I would imagine this is a common viewpoint. And it's not a good one. If you genuinely think a whole group as a whole is bad you need to reexamine your thoughts. It's not "men" that are bad, it's the sexist people.
To wrap this up (I'm sure you might be tired of reading this lol); like I said, the attitudes play a huge part of it. Modern feminism, in my opinion, is just not good enough for me to say I agree with it and want to identify as one. I just can't
Here is the link to the feminist article: https://www.google.com/amp/s/feminisminindia.com/2020/09/23/men-are-trash-and-other-radical-feminist-opinions/%3famp

Seeing your post about how JYL has a 'ranking system' in her head when it comes to WWX and JC hits so hard, but honestly, the more I read into the Jiang family dynamics, the more I agree. JYL obviously loves WWX, but I don't know if she's capable of putting him above JC. And we see her defending him, and she obviously gives her life for him, but she was also reacting in the moment. Not to speak lightly of her sacrifice of course, but I just feel like there are certain limits to how 1/7
far she's actually willing to go for him. I was initially one of JYL's staunch defenders, and always said that, unlike JC, she didn't have the same amount of political power as him, wasn't in a position to do anything about the Wens, ect. But...I'm starting to question if that's really true. JYL may not have had much direct political power herself, but she was the sister of a sect leader, and even if JC was unwilling to help, JYL had just married into the richest and most powerful sect 2/7
at the time. It was a love marriage, JZX adored her and would've done anything for her if she'd just bothered to ask him for it. Madam Jin also cared for her and respected her, and between her and JZX, had JYL actually bothered to tell them anything, I'm sure they would have been able to sort something out. Or she could have had it as a condition of her marriage - I'm not marrying into the sect that's trying to kill my brother unless you tell your father to stop. Had it been reversed and 3/7
The Lans were calling for JYL and JC’s deaths, no way in hell WWX would’ve just married into the sect, regardless of LWJ’s involvement. Instead she just doesn’t really do anything. We see no proof that she ever tried to see WWX after the wedding dress incident, which — god I instantly saw it as a sweet gesture, but now it just bothers me, because your brother is living in squalor, and you decide to show if the expensive dress that you’ll be 4/7
wearing when marrying into the sect that's trying to kill him, you bring along one bowl of soup for him, and don't even try to explain WHY you're marrying into said sect. Beyond that, we don't see a single moment up until her death where JYL actually seems concerned about WWX, puts in effort to try to see him - she doesn't even ask him how he's doing the one time she does come to see him. When we compare that to how WQ treats WN, yeah, she's outwardly not as loving or sweet, but she 5/7
goes to the ends of the earth for her brother, even going as far as to betray her sect and risk WRH's wrath because he asks her to. And now we come back to that ranking system you mentioned before - yeah, it really does seem like JYL places her blood family first, which definitely hurts, but in comparison, despite only knowing him for a shorter amount of time, WQ truly grows to think of WWX as a second brother. And she treats him as such, at an equal level with WN - after JZX dies 6/7
WQ doesn't attack WWX for what happened. She doesn't try to come up with a way to sacrifice WWX instead and let WN survive in his stead. She and WN, two people who have become WWX's family, both give their lives to protect both him and the rest of their remaining family members. And it's just frustrating to think that the one member of WWX's adopted family who we all thought treated him like an actual brother, might not have really been on his side after all. 7/7
Yes! To start with the wedding dress thing, because it drives me nuts when people treat that like some super sweet act of love: JYL shows up in the Burial Mounds with no money, no sign of having tried to talk the sects around, no news outside of her own, no food beyond a couple bowls of soup (one of which she gives to the guy who can’t eat), and doesn’t so much as ask WWX if he’s okay. She literally came all that way to have a family meal, ask WWX to name the future nephew it’s becoming increasingly clear he’ll never meet, and tell him about her impending marriage into the family that’s currently doing everything in its power to destroy WWX’s life. Like, if you think about it that entire visit is such a slap in the face; “Here’s a bowl of soup while the people under your protection are starving, oh by the way I’m going to marry the son of the guy actively trying to get you killed, okay bye”. All you can say in regards to her helping WWX is that she does potentially manage to persuade JZX to invite him to JL’s one month celebration, but if memory serves the novel never actually specifies whose idea that was and it was JZX who decided to go get WWX after JGY told him about seeing JZXun heading in the direction of the Burial Mounds. And even then JZX does the same thing JYL does; sees WWX outnumbered and surrounded and tells him to stand down. At least in JZX’s case you could argue that the actual fighting hadn’t broken out and JZX probably trusted in his authority to be able to sort the situation out so long as WWX wasn’t actually acting aggressive (or defensive, rather), and he’s also physically strong enough that he may well have been able to intervene if the cultivators had attacked. JYL, when she does the same thing, has no authority and no physical power to defend WWX with. And yeah, both JZX and Madam Jin adore JYL, and neither of them seem super fond of JGS (JZX respects his father, but I don’t get the sense he loves him); if JYL had asked them for help it’s entirely possible they would’ve started at least circulating her version of events and demanding a proper investigation into what happened. But there’s no mention of her so much as trying, and she doesn’t offer to ask them when she visits WWX.
And yeah, compare WQ to JYL and it’s... well. WQ is so quick to offer WWX her love and care? She’s harsh, but she loves him and views him and WN on such equal footing that she and WN willingly hand themselves over to the Jins for WWX’s sake without her so much as bringing up the possibility of saving WN instead. There’s no ranking for WQ; WWX and WN are her brothers, and she loves them, and she’d do anything to protect them. When it becomes clear she can’t save WN (like hell the sects would let him live, and by this point it’s pretty clear that WWX won’t be able to protect them forever) she throws her whole weight behind defending the brother she thinks she might still be able to save, even if it means bringing WN with her to die. WQ knows WWX for... a year or two? Maybe? The timeline is a little hazy. Not long compared to JYL, anyway. And yet she’s willing to walk all the way to Lanling to die in the hope of saving him. It’s for her whole family, yes, but she makes a point of including him. Basically, I think this fandom needs more stuff wherein the Jiangs and Wens survive and the Wens are fully like “Our brother now, you don’t deserve him”.
The thing with JYL is... she loves WWX, she genuinely does, but he is never going to be first for her. To the point where she outright enables JC’s abuse, in places; she always expects WWX to be the one to grin and bear it. Hell, one of their first conversations involves JYL cheerily allowing WWX to cover up JC locking him out of his bedroom and scaring him out into the woods by threatening to set dogs on him! Let me rephrase that: she allows a traumatized nine-year-old to hide the fact that the kid her dad expects him to share a room with locked him out of said room on his FIRST NIGHT and threatened him with his LITERALLY WORST FEAR, and as far as we know makes no attempt to tell JFM herself. To keep JC out of trouble. That is such a thing! WWX was scared to the point of running away and JFM expects him to share a room with the person responsible for that and JYL goes along with him promising not to tell JFM so that JC won’t get in trouble! And from that day forwards everything is just “Boys will be boys” to her. Like, let me put it this way. Before LWJ (and arguably the Wens before that, although WWX saw himself more as protector than protected there) JYL was the person WWX trusted to protect and care for and comfort him above all others, yeah? She’s the one he thinks of as having his back? He doesn’t tell her about JC trying to kill him. JC tries to kill WWX three times before JYL’s death, and WWX doesn’t say a word to her about any of them. You could argue that he doesn’t want to involve her, but... JYL pretty clearly takes JC’s side every time JC starts having a go at WWX. When he chases him out of their room, when he starts snapping about how annoying WWX is, when he stabs WWX... She never outright says it, but there really does come a point where by staying neutral you’re siding with the aggressor, and she reaches that point a lot. Hell, the stabbing is one of those aforementioned near-murders! JC stabbed him! According to WWX (who downplays serious injuries, he never exaggerates them) he had to hold his guts in! WWX is talking about a pretty fucking serious injury (and JYL grew up in a cultivation sect, I don’t believe for a second she doesn’t at least know what constitutes a serious injury) while JC whines about a broken arm like it’s worse than having to physically hold your guts in until you can reach a doctor and JYL acts like those are equal! JC could easily have killed WWX and has enough training with the sword to know better than to go for a blow like that in a staged fight and JYL doesn’t even suggest he should apologise.
Honestly? The more I think about JYL the more it pisses me off that she’s treated like WWX’s best sister more than WQ is. Imagine WQ seeing one brother stab the other in the gut and take the former’s side because the latter broke the former’s arm. Imagine WQ so much as considering allowing a child to cover up the kid he’s supposed to share a room with locking him out and scaring him into running away. She wouldn’t! Because WQ sees her brothers as equals. She won’t pick WN over WWX just because they’re blood siblings; she loves them both, and will choose based on who she thinks is in the right. And she wouldn’t just stay neutral to avoid rocking the boat, oh no. If WQ heard WWX say that WN stabbed him and did enough damage that he had to hold his guts in... oh boy would WN have a bad day. The thing with JYL is that she seems like a good sister in comparison to the rest of the Jiangs; stick canon JYL into a family that genuinely loves WWX and sees him as equal to their other children, and she would not look anywhere near as good.

How would you describe the relationship between each respective goggleboy and 'rival'? Ive seen different interpretations but im curious what you think! Not to mention that the fans are sometimes arguing over who the 'rival' actually is, like with Daisuke where some people say its Ken and others say its Takeru. (I dont think there are actual rivals in the show, except for maybe Manga!Kiriha who outright says he will be just that with Taiki.)
One thing to keep in mind is that the word "rival" has kind of integrated itself into anime lingo as a full-on English loanword, so it comes from expectations of anime tropes more than anything. While even official staff has used that word in talking about Digimon, as you say, it never really fit to begin with, because not only has Digimon TV anime never been a particularly conventional shounen series in many ways, that term was also mostly coined in light of series where that term made a lot more sense. As in, they were more likely to be actually competing over something (in sports, or something tournament-based like card games); in that sense, a "rival" would be someone who might be antagonistic by being on the other side of the field, but would have a mutually positive relationship with the other person overall because the competitiveness would keep both of them on their toes and allow both of them to improve together. Digimon is not the first time this term has started getting overapplied to contexts where it doesn't really fit at all (it's been going on in Super Sentai for years), so people generally have a greater perception of it broadly meaning "two characters who have differing opinions on how something should be done due to their differing personalities, and sometimes fight over it", but in Digimon especially, it really does seem like trying to smash a square peg into a round hole.
The short answer: Xros Wars is probably the only one you can make a real argument for.
The long answer, in detail:
Adventure: I cannot emphasize enough that Adventure, being a series that was really big on that whole trope subversion thing, is a series that casts the trope of "rivalry" as "getting in a lot of fights" as a bad thing -- it's actually pretty unsubtle about it, because the word "rival" itself is explicitly used in Adventure episode 44, by Jureimon trying to manipulate Yamato. Or, in other words, "hey, if you saw someone who's supposed to be your supportive friend as someone you had to constantly compete against for no good reason, wouldn't that be really messed up?" Adventure does not even bother with or remotely believe in the idea that fighting somehow is a sign of how good friends you are, at least, not as long as that fighting is a sign of genuine hostility and refusal to communicate (which is why Yamato punching Taichi in 02 doesn't count). Every time Taichi and Yamato got in a fight back in Adventure, it was heated and ugly, and everyone in their presence was horrified, and once they sorted out their issues in Adventure, their appearances in 02 and Kizuna involved properly talking things out and making an active attempt to understand each other's feelings. There's a bit of bickering between them due to said opposing personalities, but it's never over anything serious (see the contrast in Kizuna between them having a bit of a minor row at the beginning, but high-fiving right after and spending the rest of the movie practically counseling each other).
02: Straight-up does not exist. Daisuke may have seen Takeru in that way due to the Hikari issue at first, but he was really running in circles getting absolutely nowhere about it, Takeru was mostly like "okay, you have fun with that," their only major argument about anything was the very serious issue in 02 episode 11, and it still resulted in Daisuke trying to understand Takeru's feelings. I think all of it boils down to Daisuke himself just not having that kind of personality to begin with, because he's friendly and supportive before anything else, and the whole thing with Takeru became a non-issue after a fashion (way before we even get into Kizuna, at that). Ken has the word "rival" sometimes applied to him in official franchise media, but nobody ever believes it. Sure, Daisuke and Ken have fairly complementary personalities, but they seem to both be aware of this fact and actively using it to help each other. It's very, very, very hard to imagine them ever getting into any kind of fight the way Taichi and Yamato used to in Adventure. It's just not happening! They're "best friends" who enjoy each other's company and actively hang out, and...yeah, that's it.
Tamers: Also does not exist! I know a lot of people really try to say it's Ruki because she's the one with the lone-wolf attitude and aggravated Takato at first, but my impression of Takato's attitude with her wasn't out of any competition but more that he'd like it if she didn't try to pick fights with him. Which she does actually stop after a while, mind you, and you could even make an argument that she's more of a foil to Jian than Takato, because Jian's the one who was completely pacifist at first, with Takato caught in the middle. In the end, Ruki never actually attains a particularly close relationship with Takato compared to Jian, nor does she really keep up a particular competitive streak with Takato; she kind of pops in and out at her leisure because of her more independent streak, and Jian ends up more of Takato's right-hand man (which is why the franchise presumably picks him as the secondary character to feature whenever they do "secondary characters"), but neither Takato nor Jian are prone to conflict and the entire trope is just fundamentally absent. The Tamers trio, is, ultimately, a trio.
Frontier: Takuya and Kouji are probably the first pair to really look like a proper execution of the trope, and at the very least they align pretty perfectly to how it's known in Sentai: a more hot-headed, aggressive lead with a more cool-headed and cynical right-hand man, where they end up often prone to conflict over dispute on how to best lead the team. However, while it's much more of a conventional execution than Adventure (since Adventure had Yamato actually be more prone to being an emotional fuse bomb whereas Taichi was often too chill more than anything), there being any conflict isn’t gone into that deeply beyond just "their personalities are complementary", and in that sense it's not far off from Adventure itself.
Savers: The series kind of baits you into thinking it might go this way when Nanami taunts Tohma about how he had to resort to a Masaru-esque tactic to beat her (it's one of its early red herrings about Tohma supposedly betraying the group), and it does have traces at the start because of how blatant of a foil Tohma is to Masaru, but one thing important to consider is that while the "rivalry" of what's being competed over is barely even relevant in most Digimon series to begin with, Masaru and Tohma don't even have a "group" to lead -- they're the employees under DATS who are being given orders from above, and are dealing with situations as they come. Masaru ends up leading the charge a bit, but he's not actually a leader in any shape or form, and Savers is more of a story of Masaru's coming-of-age than anything else, so while the series mostly has to do with his personal philosophy more than Tohma's, it ultimately lets the two of them pursue their lives their own ways. Masaru's worst bout of infamous anger is at being hurt over Tohma's apparent betrayal, not against him personally.
Xros Wars: I would say this is the only series to date where the term "rivals" properly applies, and it's because they're fighting over something concrete: the Code Crowns, and eventually Digital World territory. So in this case, for the first two parts, the answer is obviously Kiriha; Nene was a rival at first, but after various events happened she allied with Xros Heart early into Death Generals, and while Taiki and Kiriha had a relationship of mutual respect, Kiriha still considered him an opponent over what they were competing for until eventually the Xros Heart United Army fully came into formation. In the manga version, Kiriha does invoke the word "rival" in the above sense of competing to polish one's skills, but ironically, its version of the Death Generals arc involves them being much more in-tune with the same goals, so it might actually apply less because Taiki kind of responds with "uh, sure...?" since he's not nearly as interested in self-improvement. In Hunters, while it initially seems like it might be Yuu, the answer is really Ryouma, and note that Ryouma never really forms a particularly close relationship with Tagiru; it's just that he's the person most at the forefront for competing with Tagiru in the Hunt, to the point he's the first person chosen to wield the Brave Snatcher and turns out to be a bit of a foil for Tagiru in terms of actually having admired Taiki this whole time.
Appmon: Also does not exist. Rei tried to do the whole schtick in terms of competing for the Seven Code Appmon at first, but Haru was having none of that and immediately reached out to him emotionally, worrying about his welfare, and although Rei had a bit of a detached relationship with the other Appli Drivers thereafter, it really was friendly more than anything, just a bit awkward. Haru and Yuujin aren't even on the table, since their relationship is "best friends" akin to Daisuke and Ken.
Adventure: reboot: Also does not exist, considering that Taichi and Yamato bickering over the best way to approach things is limited to the very beginning of the series (and one of those times was with Yamato and Sora, not Yamato and Taichi, at that). In fact, I think most of these kids have been acting separately for most of the series anyway...?

This is targeted at your dream apologist post, just to be up front. Just wanted to give my two cents in on some of the stuff w/o doing a whole rebuttal, since… I don’t really want to lol. To start off, I had an issue with how you framed the beginnings of Lmanberg. How Lmanberg formed wasn’t colonizing, it was just independence from the greater dsmp from a set of members that disliked the way things were ran by Dream (and by more direct extension, the rest of the dsmp citizens, namely sapnap.) Dream was protecting his power, not any kind of attachment made to the server, I’d argue, becuz in the end the way he relinquished control was by gaining more; by getting leverage over one of the original members, Tommy, via taking his discs.
Another thing, you shouldn’t be angry at ppl for not feeling sympathetic for a character that’s done such heinous things against other characters. You’re more then welcome to feel bad for him yourself, but no one else has to. After watching the whole of Tommy’s exile arc, it’s very clear to see the Dream was cruel and horrible to a child that hardly deserved it. Dream was dehumanizing to Tommy. Making him put all of his self earned items into a hole every visit and promptly destroying it all, telling Tommy that his friends don’t miss him, blowing up Logstedshire after finding Tommy’s secret room (that he hid from Dream to stop him from destroying it) filled with Tommy’s resources for escaping, not even allowing him to leave, these aren’t the actions of a good person put into a hard place, or a person with trauma dealing poorly with said trauma. That isn’t justifiable. Dream shouldn’t be allowed to hurt and inflict trauma onto another person becuz he has trauma. What he did to Tommy and to his friends (saying he didn’t care about them, saying he only cares about Tommy’s discs, Sapnap even had that sad moment of “you don’t think he meant it did you?” which. Yknow. Look between the lines methinks) was awful and doesn’t have to be forgiven by either the victims or the fans of said victims.
My opinion on the prison stay is…. I don’t really care lol. I definitely do see it as he deserves it, because what he did to Tommy was horrific. I don’t have any real sympathy for an abuser, especially one that does shit that I’ve had done to me before and done against a character I relate to heavily. So. Sue me if I think that Dream should have his shit rocked. Ignoring that Dream had very clear reasons as to why he was put into the prison and the fact that many characters have reasons to hate his guts and also not feel sympathy for him is…. Definitely the Dream apologist mantra. Noah fence ^^
One last bit since this ask is getting real long, but it was narratively cathartic to see Dream actually receiving punishment for his actions. Cathartic quite literally means “psychological relief through strong emotions” so. Yeah. Sorry ppl were getting it mixed up with catharsis, but there’s the word they probably meant to use. Didn’t realize it would be such a crime to mix up two very similar words but what can you do with a younger audience.
This isn’t meant to be an attack, or mean, so I’m sorry if I’ve been a little passive aggressive in my wording, but to be fair. Your post was as well ^^ Cant wait to hear your response, if you feel like giving one.
Alright, so first as a quick disclaimer, I’m going to out a summary of the original post’s points, just to ensure that we’re on the same page;
The post does say:
- don’t dehumanize c!Dream because it continuously hurts people who relate to and/or sympathize with him, also dehumanization in general is an inherently wrong mindset
- don’t attack people who sympathize with him because he’s a victim of abuse besides other things
The post never says:
- you cannot hate c!Dream and not sympathizing with him is wrong
- the things c!Dream has done are to any degree excused
- don’t dehumanize c!Dream because he’s a good person
- people who dehumanize c!Dream are real life abuse apologists
If you read the post and didn’t get these points from it, i advise you to reread it as I made pretty much all of these abundantly clear.
I don’t know why you’d start talking about L’manberg, but sure; I never said it was colonization. I said some people who have had their country colonized relate to him because he had his home torn apart and is desperate to return it back to its original state. This is a completely valid reason to relate to him as it is a pretty big part of the character.
Dream wasn’t protecting his “power”, because he didn’t actually have any power on the SMP besides technically owning it. Before L’manberg, all he’d do is walk around, fix creeper holes and the prime path, jump into conflicts and end them if they got too pointed - he even fixed Tubbo’s house once after Tommy burnt it down, he got unfairly mugged by Sapnap and Tommy because he had weaker armor etc. He never used his position as landowner unfairly and was on the same level as any other member; his only concern was too keep the community united and semi-peaceful. Of course he had an attachment to the server, it had been his home for months, maybe more on the SMP timeline.
Do you genuinely think listing the bad things he did is going to do anything to my empathy or the empathy of other c!Dream fans?
I saw the entirety of the exile arc live, and I saw what was happening, and I hated it, and I hated c!Dream. Yet I’m sympathetic to him when he goes through a similar situation, perhaps because I’m not a biased hypocrite.
I never said c!Dream was a good person. Saying “these don’t look like actions of a person with trauma” doesn’t make sense to me because, as you said later on, it isn’t justifiable either way. I’m not saying anyone has to forgive him. You don’t need to forgive an abuse victim for their prior actions to recognize their situation is messed up. You’re making up points to fight against in your rebuttal that I never actually said.
I’m not saying “don’t dehumanize c!Dream because he’s a good person”. I’m saying “don’t dehumanize c!Dream because he’s a person and dehumanization is wrong” and “people who relate to him shouldn’t be hurt or harassed”.
He didn’t even do “terrible things” to his friends, by the way. Tommy has said like five times that he doesn’t care about anyone but the discs but when he said that isn’t true his friends believed and forgave him. Dream says it once while something that matters to him is being threatened, so that it doesn’t get destroyed, and suddenly he’s hurting his friends (double standard methinks). As if he didn’t repeatedly try to help them and care about them up until that point and they abandoned him even despite his prior actions. He did things that might’ve hurt them, but that doesn’t compare to the amount of things he did for them. Saying he doesn’t care is blatant mischaracterization.
If you think (fictional) people who have done bad things deserve to be horribly abused and have their basic human rights violated, you know what, you do you. Be a fictional abuse apologist, be as bad as the people who say c!Tommy deserved it, go on. I disagree with you however, and I’m sure many people who are actually sensitive and care about/relate to fictional abuse victims (I have seen many c!Tommy apologists say the torture is awful and he doesn’t deserve it, thankfully) will disagree as well, so why should I care about your wrong opinion? If you’ve dehumanized him and are failing to see you’re incorrect and hurting people, bad for you. You’re just proving me right that this is a very real problem that this community has to do something about.

it’s us against the world - junior quartet hcs
a highly requested scenario: when the juniors are little jelly (very jealous) beans
Lan Sizhui
it would be quite hard to tell if he were jealous
because he’d like to keep things to himself
and honestly wouldn’t really know how to pinpoint such an emotion anyways since he’s well...
him lol
and also he respects your friend groups and knows that there’s other people besides him in your life
but...
sometimes it gets hard for him
like when you’re out with your friend groups
and some of your friends would still hit on you
despite the fact that he’d be there too
it’s make him a little self conscious
like was your relationship not strong enough?
believable enough?
that people had the audacity to try and test him
Sizhui would be #2 sulker (#1 is someone else a bit lower on this list haha)
but yea, he gets a bit self conscious and jelly when you interlock your arms with all of your friends
and leave him to walk a few steps behind
and it’s not like you mean to
you and your friends have always just been touchy like that
but once you figure out what’s gotten his face in  a little frowny frown, you realize that the best way to remedy his jealousy is just for him to join in on the fun with you
and if that means all you, Sizhui and three of your friends, interlocking arms and taking up the entire side walk on your walk to the mall
then well,
anything for Sizhui’s smile
Lan Jingyi
he’s very loud about a particular handful of his emotions
jealousy and anger are two of them
you hate it when he’s angry
because he’s the type to pick a fight with the problem
like for example, if you were at a party
and he’d see someone trying to make conversation with you
but going about it in a way that was way past the boundaries you set
and also just being obnoxious
Jingyi would throw hands with no hesitation what so ever
and when he’s jealous, it’s a just a little waltz over to anger
although those two emotions shouldn’t be connected
he can’t help it
especially since he’s never really ever grown up with something that belongs to him
so it’s hard
especially now
“Jingyi!” you’re yelling as you’re holding him back by the arms
his face is red and his eyes are ablaze and you really don’t think the fruit punch is going to stay in his hand for long
“what the hell!” your sleazy coworker shouts at Jingyi only to get pushed roughly again by your boyfriend when he manages to take his arm out of your grasp
“Jingyi stop!”
“no! i’m not letting you deal with this, and i’m not dealing with this,” Jingyi says, getting angry whenever he remembers the image of your co worker’s inappropriately placed hand on the very edge of your lower back
you try to just let everything pass
because it was your job
but as you let Jingyi hold your wrist solidly
lead you out of the company’s late party
you don’t regret it one bit
Jin Ling
#1 sulker
when he’s jealous, he’s petty about it
you get the brunt of his pure pettiness about a week into your new semester, where Jin Ling suddenly stops waiting for you after class
and it kind of stopped out of the blue
he’d just meet you at your dorms if you guys had a study session (or any session) planned together
but even then, the session that you see him,
he’s tense
“A-ling” you call to him when you’re sat next to him, trying to get him to look at you
but he won’t
actually, he turns fully away from you and leans on his arms
then use his back as a shield to you
and you don’t get it
and plus you’re kind of too busy for his childish nonsense today
so you go and text your friend from your previous class about the homework
he’s a fun guy whose passionate about the subject
and has a great sense of humor (from the in person and texting convos that you shared)
you’re grateful that you’ve met him
you’ve only giggled at your phone for a few seconds when you hear a very passive aggressive slam of a book
when you turn to look at Jin Ling, you’re surprised to see him packing up his stuff
“you’re leaving already?”
“yeah, so you can have fun talking to other people...”
“it’s Cory,”
“eh’s coreey” Jin Ling would mimic obnoxiously and you’d get it right away
he was totally jealous
of course he was
“you really have nothing to worry about with cory” you tell Jin Ling, when you wrap a solid hand around his bicep to hold him back
“all that he talks to me about is his boyfriend”
and it takes Jin Ling a moment
but when he gets it
he sits down beside you to actually study efficiently
pouts forgotten
Ouyang Zizhen
genuinely, would hate the feeling of jealousy
Zizhen is also a soft boi, but soft in the way that his heart likes to lean towards positive emotions rather than the negative
and he doesn’t like jealousy,
from you or from himself
which is why he’s surprised that he’s feeling even the tiniest ebbs of it now
when you’re at a dog cafe with him
aside from the fact that no one single dog has tried to approach him
(they all just corral you for some reason)
ever since one of the pups had managed to bully its way into your lap
you hadn’t even taken your eyes off of this chubby looking kind of puppy in your arms ever since you stepped in
b e a u, reads the name tag of the fluffy bichon frise
meaning babe, or baby in some other lang
Zizhen eyes the name tag with distaste
the dog stares back with black beady looking eyes, lolls its tongue
almost a small mocking symbol
Zizhen sighs, leans back into the chair and sips at his ordered coffee
though it takes a little funny from the first sip
Zizhen looks down and has to pull out a puppy hair or two from his mouth
Zizhen sends an alarmed looked towards you, to see if you have noticed anything
you haven’t
eyes solely focused on Beau and only Beau
stupid dog
Zizhen sighs
