Saruhiko and Misaki play the game Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. How good or bad do they fare?
I feel like they would either be really great at this or really awful and nothing in between XD I think they’d do the best if Fushimi was the Expert and Yata the Defuser, because Fushimi can process information quickly and Yata feels comfortable following Fushimi’s instructions. Like they might have some back and forth fighting, Fushimi starts out talking way too fast and Yata’s like hold on hold on I don’t know what you’re saying, and Fushimi gets annoyed if Yata doesn’t do what he says fast enough. But Yata’s able to describe the bomb in a way that Fushimi can figure out very quickly from minimal clues which part of the manual he needs to be looking at, and since he’s skilled at  memorizing things if he needs to jump around in the manual he can do so without needing to go back and reread where he was at previously. Once they find a rhythm I think they would be really good at this, Fushimi giving clear concise directions and Yata just following along and letting Fushimi know if anything looks off. 
On the other hand if you switched their roles I think they would struggle and probably end up arguing a lot. Yata’s definitely much slower when it comes to processing information and I could absolutely see Fushimi getting impatient and trying to figure out how to defuse the bomb on his own while ignoring Yata’s instructions (and then when it explodes and they lose the game Yata’s like that’s why I told you to wait and listen to me, Fushimi clicks his tongue and says you were too slow if this was a real scenario we would have been blown up waiting for you to find the right page). Yata occasionally has to flip through the book and Fushimi gets annoyed again that Yata can’t figure things out any faster, while not really doing a great job at giving Yata the information he needs to figure out what instructions are for the bomb Fushimi’s working on. If they manage to find the right one it probably goes at least a little smoother, though I could still see Fushimi trying to do things on his own and Yata gets all exasperated like can you just trust me and follow my instructions for once so we don’t die.

Hi this is sort of unrelated but I didn't know which creator to ask this ;; does the patreon integration bot work properly in terms of removing roles on discord? I've heard people say we have to manually do stuff so I was just wondering. Maybe it's wonky because it's the first of the month?
Previously, the Patreon bot did not remove roles, it only added them. Creators had to manually go through the members list and remove patrons who had de-pledged if they didn't want them to access benefits they were no longer paying for.
Patreon/Discord refined the integration a few months ago (around March or April, I think?). There is now better control over role assignment and the bot is supposed to automatically remove roles once a patron de-pledges and their access runs out.
I haven't had any major issues since the change, but I still manually review the members list every so often since the Patreon bot isn't always 100% reliable.
There are also a few things that can cause it to hiccup:
It's the first of the month and Patreon is processing payments and updating information. I would maybe wait until the second or the third to check if the bot removed roles correctly as it may be processing a lot of data.
A patron's monthly payment bounced and their account is in stasis until they update their payment information or cancel their pledge.
If you manually invited a patron to your server at any point, assigned them roles yourself, and they never integrated their Patreon and Discord accounts, they will be outside the scope of the Patreon bot and their roles won't be adjusted accordingly. You will have to manually handle their account status if they change their pledge.
Additionally, if the Patreon bot isn't at the top of the role list, then it cannot handle role assignment properly. Bots can't manage roles that are above them in terms of priority, so make sure it is above your regular server roles.

Looking ahead, the market is poised to continue growing, with Statista projecting it will grow at a CAGR of 5.76% between now and 2027, eventually reaching a market volume of $25.4 billion by the end of that year. 
Despite this, competition remains fierce. The digital games market is dominated by only a handful of platforms, and with 94% of spending taking place digitally, that leaves very little room for new entrants. Established players — such as Steam and Epic Games Store in the PC sphere — take advantage of this to impose hefty fees on publishers. 
For these major entities, integrating AI into their operations is second-nature. However, for smaller, emerging platforms, AI could be a game-changer — one that allows them to challenge the incumbent oligopoly. 
While replicating successful AI implementations requires careful consideration of platform-specific characteristics and operational contexts, here are four ways in which AI can help fledgling e-commerce companies compete with digital distribution giants. 
#1: Enhancing fraud detection
On gaming platforms, fraud happens at a much larger scale — and more recurrently — than in other e-commerce verticals. Given its capacity to process and analyze vast amounts of transaction data, AI’s algorithms can promptly identify suspicious patterns or anomalies.

Additionally, we can also time our customers’ next potential purchase. This also improves our timing for marketing messages. All in all, we can proudly say that these efforts have bolstered our sales via marketing channels by approximately 15%.

Given the time-sensitive nature of the gaming industry — for instance, Steam imposes constraints on how many keys publishers can generate — effective forecasting is key. 
Here, we have implemented a straightforward AI model that is based on two primary methods: time series forecasting and regression analysis. 
By detecting patterns, the former helps us predict future sales figures and adapt to seasonality, which is an important factor in the gaming field. On the other hand, the latter assists our team in establishing relationships between sales data and other variables — demographics, pricing, product categories, and more. 
Since there are wide divergences in these parameters — for example, there are sports games released annually, such as those by EA Sports, and other strategy games that span across decades — getting these critical factors right is of paramount importance for accurate forecasting. 
We first started with this in the spring of 2024, so, as of now, our results are similar to what we were achieving without AI. However, we expect that as we further calibrate and refine our model, and accumulate more historical data, our accuracy will significantly improve over time. 
Final thoughts
In some fields, such as gaming, AI can become a democratizing factor — one that enables emerging, high-potential platforms to compete with established behemoths. 
Having said this, to fully realize its potential, it is not so much about simply integrating AI for the sake of it, but about doing it right. 
For smaller companies that cannot afford to maintain an in-house team of AI specialists, a viable solution is to utilize existing third-party software. Some of these ready-made solutions can be used by regular developers, even if they are not specialized in AI. 
My suggestion is that you do not transition all of your workload right away to AI. Instead, take a gradual approach. For example, ask AI to handle 10% of user queries, or to dynamically price 10% of your products. 
Last but not least, maintain the human touch. Having people review the quality of AI’s support can be very beneficial. As AI proves its worth, you can expand its scope within your organization.
