Tbh a lot of the time when people say "if it was a girl and boy you'd say it's romantic" it's like yeah and we'd be sighing and rolling our eyes about it and kind of hoping against hope that maybe it's not romantic and they'll just be friends.

But also until there was a mouth kiss or a declaration of love or something of the like we wouldn't necessarily say a straight relationship is canon, and people do fight and argue about what counts with straight relationships too when it isn't 100% clear.
