My winter exchange gift for the SJ server for Cyfil (@Cyfil17 on twt)

The request was happy SJ first and foremost, and since Cyfil enjoys Bingjiu have a soft Bingjiu AU.

Rambles and sketches under the cut

Basic simple idea was that SJ ended up being picked up by ZZL after the Qiu Manor stuff, and became a proper non-righteous cultivator - a demonic cultivator if you will. I will figure out details at some point but not rn.

SJ traveled with ZZL and his uncle for a while before choosing to go wander a bit and see more of the world.

Binghe in this still ends up on CQMS, either probably Bai Zhan or still QJP with another but equally as unfriendly PL. He still probably ends up in the abyss either by being pushed down or avoiding execution by his shizun.

Out of the abyss he runs into SJ who recognizes him as probably TLJ's kid and decides to help him out. Things go from there. Still have some issues to figure such as what happened with TLJ and ZZL etc, but I assume SJ went to break them out properly at some point so SJ would be bringing Binghe back to them first.

In the end though, Binghe chooses to forgo any plans of revenge in favor of hanging out with this beautiful cultivator he ran into and they end up wandering together or so.

Anyway it's just a silly AU that serves as an excuse for SJ to be happy and have soft Bingjiu really 😂 extra sketches I made trying to figure this out. I have a few more illustration thumbnails, some of which I might get back to.

i think there's really something to be said about how there has never been a record i've encountered where people wanted justification or excuse to refuse to acknowledge the intention and seriousness of the project itself like danger days by both defenders and haters. i find it so incredibly bizarre and strange and partially fascinating.
