Sunday sunday sunday. Last of February somehow. I've so far not been doing a stellar job with my goal of interacting in fandom more. My time has mostly been divided between working on original writing and Coping With 2025, and when the latter isn't dissolving me, I feel like I must nurture the former while it lasts instead of also trying to do fic. Lest I lose the will to write the original thing.
I've written a little more in the sci-fi au I've been sharing. It is, again, the fun spoilery stuff I can't share, but I want to share something. So I'm just going to offer this scattering of non-sequential, out of context notes from the brainstorming document and one (1) similarly out of context quote from the fic and call it a day.
That’s fine though because we’re on another planet and I get to decide if there’s bioluminescent lichen :) [redacted] does not happen gracefully in the aforementioned hellscape of this society. that [redacted] wasn't worth it bc Davy is shit in every universe. [...] and that’s part of why he cared so little. The other part is that he’s human garbage. Not to put too fine a point on that. what's the fucking mortality rate here dude? And Simon asks a question to prod at this, which I had the shape of in my head but have lost and can no longer fathom. I feel like I’m losing my way. Um. Let’s make something up and see how it looks. I don’t know how much it benefits me to put these words to it, because I clearly don’t know what I’m talking about. There are red flags up the wazoo here. And I had more thoughts about that, maybe related to theme, but who knows what they were, so in the meantime, [redacted] off into who knows where, hand wavy blah blah I don’t care about it right now see what I’ve written about that elsewhere (good luck finding it)
And for the little out of context quote:
“I only ask because nothing you’ve ever said has sounded like you have thoughts or feelings,” Simon continued.

Hi, what are your thoughts on Megatron? Most Starscream fans don't have very positive ones about him lol, but everyone is different and I would like to know that you think
I like Megatron okay, he doesnt bother me but im not like jumping up and down for megatron content yknow? but I get not liking Megatron as a Starscream fan. It's just, you can't deny how intrinsically the two characters are tied together. Really can't have Starscream without Megatron, which is unfortunate for someone like me who does not like drawing Megatron lol!
Maybe the reason most Starscream fans dont like Megatron is because of their abusive relationship? And let's be clear, due to the power imbalance, I do interpret it as an abusive relationship. Despite how much we like to joke that Starscream deserves the punishment he gets (I'm not entirely sure how attempted murder/political assassination attempts factor into an abuse allegory) no one ACTUALLY deserves to be abused. The fact that Starscream is low key also evil and has done evil things is a separate issue from Megatron's abuse of him, we can hold him accountable for the one while also having sympathy because of the other. For me personally tho? Megatron abusing Starscream doesnt make me dislike the character at all, it's honestly the main draw of the dynamic for me. Maybe I just like to see my blorbos suffer…
The G1 Cartoon Megatron is probably the most fun, and I think this dynamic is the most on the level in terms of Starscream dishing back as much as Megatron gives him. They're all just bullies on the playground, their toxic back and forths feel a lot more slap stick and silly than actual abuse. What makes it work I think is that Megatron is not as crazy powerful as he is in later continuities, and Starscream responds to the abuse like a cartoon villain, immediately bouncing back and plotting his revenge, so it's funny rather than upsetting! I also find it hilarious how Megatron is weirdly nice to all the other Decepticons who aren't Starscream lmao? G1 Cartoon Megatron is a 10/10 for me.
If G1 cartoon's Megatron and Starscream are more on an even playing field, Prime Megatron is like the opposite of that. Prime Megatron is so impossibly powerful it almost feels like no one has a chance against him in a fight, and Prime Starscream is so scrunkly and small it's almost laughable. I think I feel the most pity for Prime Starscream when he gets beat up by Megatron, but he almost always makes up for it by being possibly the most evil of the Starscreams. I like how in the third season, he genuinely seems happy to finally dedicate himself fully to Megatron, but you just know how much he'd been beaten down and broken over and over again to even get to that point. Good for him for trying to get revenge in the sequel series. As for Megatron himself, I think more often than not when I am reading fics I see Prime Megatron in my head, and it's his voice I hear. What can I say, it was the first Transformers show I watched haha. Do I love how his redemption arc was handled? Not particularly, it sorta came out of nowhere, felt really rushed, and he just goes away anyway so we don't even get anything out of it. I like redemption arcs in general, but I don't necessarily think this particular Megatron needed one.
To be perfectly honest, I didn't think the 2005 IDW Megatron deserved one either, only because when it comes to over powered, unstoppable, irredeemably evil Megatrons, this one ranked right up there if we take into consideration everything he did before Dark Cybertron. His redemption does kinda come out of nowhere. But like, idk mang! It's also really fun? Like, Bumblebee carrying him around cuz his pants got blown off is hilarious! Him actually upset at Bumblebee's death and then taking Bumblebee's Autobot badge and putting it on over his own was sweet! Him dealing with the crazy crew of the Lost Light is a lot of fun! And him actually having to confronting and deal with what he's done (and other characters dealing with him dealing with it) is a lot more interesting than just him dying. idk. The comics have been around for years by that point, and passed through the hands of many writers, so if a little handwaving and a little contrivance and a little suspension of disbelief is what is required for us to have an honestly pretty fun take on Megatron, I think I'm okay with that.
I do have one complaint tho, mostly based on content I haven't read yet so take it with a grain of salt. I have been told that the adjacent series to the Lost Light Megatron stuff covers Starscream's side of the story and that it does actually address his abuse at the hands of Megatron. My problem is that apparently (and again I haven't read that far yet so this is just hearsay, but apparently) the writers on the Lost Light Megatron stuff didn't get the memo so while Megatron feels bad for and is working at redemption for all the evil war stuff he did to everyone, the one thing he doesnt regret is apparently his treatment of Starscream? Haha, like come on! on the one hand it's really disappointing to me because id like the catharsis of Megatron’s remorse, but...on the other hand, I guess it's kinda true to life actually. Your abusers are people, and they can change and grow and become better, but it doesnt mean they will ever become better for you. It doesnt mean they will ever apologize or even feel bad for what they did. Maybe theres something to be said about having to move on and heal without that. I guess whether this is a complaint I maintain will depend on how its handled.
I get that some people don't think Megatron should ever get a redemption arch, because he's an abuser, a monster, a tyrant, and an evil warlord, and it's completely fair for your stance to be that he should just be killed and that would be justice. I personally really like continuities that treat him more like just some guy. I think Starscream put it best in 2005 IDW during Megatron's trial when he said Megatron wasn't some political genius or the most gifted strategist. He wasn't even the most evil man. In IDW, Megatron started out as a social advocate from the lower class, and despite the problematic narrative of "the bad guy had a point and just did advocacy wrong/went too far," I think the idea that Megatron kinda got swept up by his own hype and was used by people and powers more devious than he is a compelling one.

Starscream is Starscream, so who knows how much of what he says is true and how much is him lying, but this idea just rings true to me. It humanizes him. If handled well, I'm honestly not opposed to stories redeeming Megatron. I'm also not opposed to stories treating him like the devil and just killing him lol. I love a character that can do both!
Uh uh, what else. Earthspark Megatron is nice, I like him. There's...a bit of cognitive dissonance in trying to reconcile the things he chastises Optimus Prime for and the idea that he still was a ruthless warlord at one point, both of which continue to be left unexplored. Transformers One Megatron is neat, I was worried going in how they would handle the switch from Orion Pax's brother to lets start a 4-6 million year war, but like, I like the way he actually was super okay with accepting his lot in life. Like obviously he didnt like it but he didnt see a point in fighting it, and that adamant complacency as a coping mechanism is what lead to his feelings of rage and betrayal by the end. Also I think its hilarious how much younger he is from all the other Decepticon high command, especially Starscream XD.
I don't think I've read or watched anything else with Megatron in it. Man, I wrote a lot. At the end of the day, Megatron is a good character, I like the role he plays in Transformers, I'm not like actually that interested in him on his own but more what he brings to the table when considering Starscream's character. You can't have one without the other! Do I ship them? No, not really, no more than any other ship. But I'll still read Megastar stuff cuz sometimes you just want to watch two people be toxic and make it hurt so good. I'll always prefer Trine stuff anyway ha! Have fun out there!

WHAT'S YOUR BIRTH TIME?

txt!ot5. ︵you ask them for their birth time.
장르 : fluffy / humor. gen!r. w☆rnings: basically the entire thing. wordc𝐨unt—1338..
YEONJUN.
his eyes glaze over like the pupils of a crow in front of the shiniest object the bird has ever laid its beady little eyes on—the brightness of it almost blinding you.
it would be an understatement to say that he was cooperative with you, considering how he fast he fished his phone out of his pocket and immediately dialled up his mother's number in front of you and parroting the question you had asked of him to his mother, following a few minutes of intense listening as you tried to figure out the time by the expression on his pretty face.
“6 pm? you guessed hopefully, only to welcome a vehement shaking of his head.
yeonjun corrected your assumption.
“oh and apparently the doctor who delivered me was beaten to a pulp because his infidelity was caught by his wife and his boyfriend right outside the operation theatre.” he added nonchalantly, as though that would somehow align the stars a bit differently affecting his chart.
the entire evening you two spend looking over his chart to the best of your abilities—he was a bit too much into it if you were being honest—and having a great time with the love of your life—not for long though. after the course of your relationship had run its course, you find out that he was dating an actual astrologer now.
SOOBIN.
“my birth time? what are you going to do with it?”
the look beneath his glasses is innocent, unalarmed—until it is not. suddenly as though the realisation had finally finished processing and made a ding! noise notifying him that he was being asked about his personal information; one which he wasn't even aware of.
“just,” you drawl, wary of his judgement that would follow the real reason behind it, “can't a person be curious?”
“of someone's personal information?”
he is right of course, but you'd be damned if you let that stop you.
“i just wanted to check your chart.” you chose honesty. perhaps it was soobin's good nature or the fact he is a sagittarius sun, but the figurative ominous lighting casting upon the two of you had begun to wane gradually and finally you could see the light behind his dimpled cheeks.
“oh you should have said so!” soobin giggled, sipping on his iced americano,” i don’ know that silly.”
you can't tell if he's lying to you or he really doesn't know.
“wait I think my mother said the sun was casting a rose gold glow when she was crowning, does that help?”
BEOMGYU.
you want to check whether we're soulmates or what?”
“whaaaaaaa—” you interrupt yourself by pressing the now damp tissue on your face trying to make it seem as though you're only gently dabbing away the bit of precipitation on your face that appears like dew on the grass blades during the effervescent winter morning whilst in reality it was more like swiping away a tsunami that your pores had decided to spit out at the thought being found out about your real intentions.
you really were trying to figure out whether he was compatible with you or not.
to be honest, this was the last attempt to give this relationship a chance. the few weeks you had begun to hang out with beomgyu with the intention of dating, he had been doing everything possible to confuse the hell out of you. at one point you wanted nothing to do with him, perhaps even change your phone number and cut off the friend that tried to set you two up whilst the other times you wanted nothing more than to be with the man—driving you to believe in superstitions such as this.
“nope!” you lied, swiping away the astrology website you had pulled up on your phone underneath the table without appearing suspicious.
“okay ill tell you,” he leaned into the table, showing off the dimple on his cheek trying to tempt you, “the time when i just popped out apparently a lightning has struck that hospital, but especially the theatre where I was being birthed in, hitting the digital clock on the wheel forever making it stuck to the time when i was born.”
the moment he finished narrating his story a distant rumble could be heard as dark clouds begun to swoop on above the two in the outdoor cafe, a nun’s veil was trampled on by a fumbling toddler causing her to fall whilst a kid was incessantly wailing on the table to the right of you two.
“it was 4:44 am.”
at least you both turned out to be 65% compatible.
TAEHYUN.
“you believe in that?”
rather than a judgmental tinge in his tone as you had expected, it was the concern that surprised you. gleaming round eyes brimming with apprehension in a way that suggested he was ready to escort you to a mental hospital in a wheelchair depending on your answer.
“It's not more so about believing totally, “ you tried to play it off cool but his arresting gaze was making it a tad bit hard to do a roundabout with your intentions, “ it's more about fun and some things are sometimes accurate based on your belief, and the methods of checking charts.”
“so would you tell me now?” you pressed on. the cat was out of the bag anyway, he either way had started to question your sanity and you might as well be judged with his birth time in your hand than without.
“fine ill give it to you, but you have to show me how accurate it is when it is mostly proven to be pseudo science. “
and so you did, pulling up his vedic chart you two spent the night away traumatising him with certain specific things about him from mole on the special place to the destination it would lead him to from your limited knowing about interpreting the chart but the reception wasn't as bad. taehyun hadn't turned and given you the look that assured you that the relationship was over yet.
but you could have never expected what was about to come: a few months after the relationship had ended naturally, you could never even imagine you'd see him on a twitter live debate with a famous astrologer about how much truth there is in chart reading and how much is it just basic behavioural tendencies.
HUENING KAI.
he blinks once; and then twice with his polite smile glued to his lips as he processes the question you had just asked him. it was the first time someone had inquired about such a mundane yet invasive question about his life; asking if he had all of his 32 teeth intact was a more common topic in his books than someone asking for his birth time, which he in fact was not aware of.
“i don't know, “ he chuckled awkwardly, hoping you'd let go of the topic naturally.
“can't you ask your mother?”
kai was not ready for you to bring up his mother so soon into the conversation—considering it was just your first date with him. although a side of him did enjoy how passionate you were about your belief and whether that related to the percentage of seriousness she was looking forward to with him. it almost made his heart skip a beat.
kai excused himself to the washroom to satiate his frenzied heart and finally asked google what it meant when a person really badly wanted to know your birth time. the array of results that turned up had kai sitting on the seat of his toilet in shock and scrolling for minutes—just long enough to kill any suspicions of him causing stomach issues. frankly what turned up had kai rattled to the core.
he had only one conclusion to this whole fiasco: to run the fuck away.
although he paid the bill before he slipped away from the front gate after he realised he was a bit too big to slip away from the washroom window.
﹙ 𓇼⃝ ∗ ﹚this is a manifestation post like pls drop your birth time like kai did.

YOYOYOYO
if it's possible to request 2 things from the humiliation prompt list, could I ask for "making them beg" and "forcing them to crawl" with either ayato or ajax .. OR ANOTHER GENSHIN MAN WHO HAS A BIT OF AN EGO!! u could literally pick whoever u want tbh I just need to see a genshin man with some kind of authority get knocked down a peg, bc im sick of them 😒
and if 2 prompts aren't possible then feel free to just pick one of the ones I listed, im happy with either and as long as u feel comfortable writing it!!
childe would definitely get on his knees without second though but ayato?? omg i havent thought of him begging till now <3
part of an ongoing event!
╰┈➤ TARTAGLIA childe.
you don't know what you were thinking when volunteering to look after the newly imprisoned harbinger, but looking back on it... you probably weren't thinking at all.
in his cell, he has you pinned to the ground, grinning wildly at you as he overpowers you in a show of strength. he wants the map to the fortress that's just jutting out of your pocket, but like hell you were gonna give that to him. if he's smart enough to catch you offguard, he's smart enough to plot an escape. you weren't taking your chances.
he laughs in your ear, and you see that the sick bastard actually likes seeing you struggle against his grip. "oh come on, pretty, just hand the map over and all will be good and dandy. i'm not asking too much, am i?"
"you're asking too much," you growl back, and the little shit laughs louder. while he's distracted by his own amusement, you find moment of weakness and kick him in the shin, to which he collapses on top of you. you roll him over as he clenches the pained spot, and before he can react, he has a baton to his neck and a glaring guard in his face. "assaulting a guard can add to your sentence, inmate. you should've thought of that before attacking me."
he continues to grin at you, and you start to wonder if he's even listening. "well, if a longer sentence means getting to see that pretty face of yours, i'm not too opposed to it." he sighs dreamily as the baton digs further into his neck. "especially if pretty can actually beat me up."
your lips curl into a disgusted scowl. "they say that the eleventh harbinger was questionable, but i didn't think you'd be this depraved." you dig a heel into his gut and he chokes out a pained laugh. "luckily, the fortress of meropide seeks to reform all criminals, no matter how sinful they are. now—" you deliver a swift kick to his stomach, sending him rolling back. before he can even push himself up, you stomp on his back and he falls to the ground once more. "you will beg for reformation, for us to clean that tainted heart of yours, harbinger."
"beg?" childe's head is spinning, and his heart is beating so loud his ears might burst. he can feel the burn in his stomach, and the heavy pressure of your boot digging into his skull. he didn't know that being visionless could make him this weak, being beaten up by a mere guard. "oh.. heh, i could beg all you w-want and more, p... pretty."
as you stomp on him again, a slight moan comes from him as his cheek hits the metal again. or maybe he wanted this. to receive a beating from someone as pretty as you. "disgusting. beg properly, harbinger, and do it right."
fuck his spine was almost halving. "p-please, reform this harbinger..." his begging comes out broken and wheezing from the pain, but there's an alarmingly wide grin on his face as he does so. "make me... urk... make me clean... i'll do anything you ask. p... please!"
a startling silence, but judging from how you lift your boot from his back, you seem to approve. "hm. passable." you watch your newest prisoner collapsed on all fours, shuddering on the ground as he revels in the warm pain blooming through his body. "reformation starts now, inmate. let us work together to correct your errors."
╰┈➤ KAMISATO AYATO pillar of fortitude.
"surely you have something to say to me, hm, young master?" you ask languidly, sifting through the documents in your hand. you're lazily stretched out over his office chair, playing around with the official seal of his family, yet you sit like an emperor on their throne. you cock your head at the young master, looking as bored as ever. "if not, i might just report this to the raiden shogun herself."
ayato sits like a commoner before you, heels digging into his behind as he glares at the floor. your figure is a shadow against the elegantly painted washi paper, and with only the moon and a flickering candle for light, it seems like your piercing eyes are the only features he can make out. your military cap tilts with your face as you regard ayato with indifference.
"nothing to say?" you sigh and let the papers drop. these are sealed, important documents, but when one drifts in front of his face, it almost seems like mockery. "ugh, i have to write up a whole report now thanks to you."
"wait." ayato grits out, still boring holes into the wooden floor. "p-please. don't release this information to her majesty, please. ayaka and thoma... they don't deserve this." they were only doing what was right. to clean up the mess your raiden shogun made. "we can handle this in private, just... just not..."
you sigh again, and it makes him bristle. you're acting like this is just another day for you and not the near doom of the kamisatos. "you're making an awful lot of demands for someone who's kneeling." you grin at him, those teeth looking predatory as you study his red face. "haven't ya ever heard of... 'sealing the deal'?" you tap the armrest with a sharp nail. "come here."
ayato begins to stand, but freezes when you shoot him a dissatisfied glare. "aren't you making a request? people who beg don't stand— they crawl. now again—" you tap the wooden armrest again. "come."
he doesn't have to do this. he shouldn't be doing this. he is the master of the kamisato estate, and he has more dignity than being reduced to crawling on the floor. but that's exactly what he finds himself doing. dragging his loose yukata against the floor as he knees you, clenching his teeth as he avoids your leering gaze, he's painfully aware of how disappointing he must look like to his parents above. the cold night air hits his skin, and his cheeks burn bright when he realizes just how loose his yukata might be when the cold hits his pale chest.
"good." you hum, stroking his hair. he couldn't help the euphoric shudder when your fingers graze his ear. "now, it's time for me to hear you beg properly."

you have to understand why they make lucerys out to be a bully rather than aemond who is chasing after a child and aegon who is bullying his brother and led him to his sexual assault.
Biggest fight aemond has been in his life, is been against a child, because that is all he will ever win. so how do you make person like that look cool? You cannot point to his training which took place in a controlled environment by a man who in concerned for his safety. Only thing left to do is make lucerys, aemond's victim, out to be the perpetrator of his trauma
Aemond is a nasty bully on his own, he knocks down jace's practise sword unprovoked. Bullying someone smaller and weaker than him.
He calls rhaena a pig, a girl he met that day of her mothers funeral, and provokes her into a fight. He is again a bully to someone smaller and weaker than him
He has all the kids beaten and he has the rock in his hand, if he wants to he can walk away, but he doesn't. so lucerys takes the only stand he can.
And what happens next is his mother fault, she put the idea of taking the eye as a payment in his head, and while she regrets her out burst, he remembers
Next lucerys's laughing, which while it is a complete dick move he is put down for it, called bastard, he is even beaten, he learned his lesson
Then we go to storms end where brave little lucerys goes inside Storm's end even when he knows vhagar is there so it's obvious who else is, he still walks in does his duty and tries to leave.
But he is again insulted by aemond, instead of lashing out like a child as aemond would, lucerys listens to him and defiantly says no, he doesn't hide or walk away, he could have if he wanted to and maybe results would be same, but lucerys always acted in a manner befitting his station and position.
Aemond on the other hand acts like a child, screams and runs after him, after saying"fight would be little challenge"
And then chases after him like a crazed dog and on his crazed dog.
And this is their biggest enemy by the way. This is who scares them and they think abuser of aemond all his life and the next one is who they say is the abused

now how else do you defend a murderer? Than make his victim out to be a perpetrator
I would also like to add how utterly psychotic some of these people and their arguments are, I genuinely worry how they treat people in real life at the anger they spill over fiction.
And also how much does the narrative and even his own face have to show to say he didn't think death is the right prize and that he actually was simply being a bully, his true nature.
I frankly fear these blind followers of these characters and how they speak of them, if you look at that post it's derived from false emotions, as a way to justify their nonsense.
Aemond has issues, from his mother's neglect of him which allowed his brother's abuse to go on and the added damage to his face, and he focused on the biggest one rather than them all
And to understand aemond as a person you have to take the bad with the worse, but I'm not sure any of his fans are intelligent enough to do that, I make this assumption based on things they say.
Not sure what they wanted lucerys to do in storms end, had they gone book route it would have shown aemond didn't jump him but provoked him, lucerys again is more jumpscared. And they believe he wouldn't fight because he supposedly can't win? Who has to win fighting itself is a crime for for an envoy which they both know, I'm assuming the historian aemokd knows. But also aemond generally says one thing and does the other, he's shown to be less intelligent more reactive and stupid. And when you see the type of admiration he gets, like attracts like.

Episode 11 really showed Jack's growth
Okay, I know what you're gonna say: "but he lashed out at Joke! He threw him away again! He got so angry!". And like- yes he lashed out, yes he didn't stop to think, yes he got extremely angry. But that literally happened in the first ten minutes of the episode, alright? There's more than a hour after that, so please let's focus on everything else that happened too, and the fact that Jack acting like that literally only lasts for a short while (as I already said, everything happens extremely fast in this episode, if you really think about it he only stays made for less than a day, which is a perfectly valid period of time to need to sort through complicated feelings - hell, it's an incredibly short time, Jack got over himself extremely quickly).
Anyway, lemme go in order, because I'm not just talking about his relationship with Joke here, but about everything else too.
There are two main things about Jack's character arc (well, more than two, but I wanna focus on these ones now): first, his tendency to hold grudges and be hard on forgiveness and, second, the fact that he never stands up to power and powerful people in an active way (I'll explain better what I mean later).
As for the first, I made a whole other post about it, so I'm not gonna repeat everything again, but let's see how in this episode he got to the end of his growth in this aspect.
He's extremely mad at the start of the episode (rightfully so), so much that he goes on a rampage (we love to see it, tbh), even though he should know that it wouldn't end well.
When he wakes up, he's still mad - of course he is, he didn't have time to think and process everything yet, given that he was beaten unconscious until now. He gets mad at Grandma when she mentions Joke, and then he lashes out at Save and Hope. It's understandable.
But then? Then it only takes Hope saying this for him to calm down and put things into perspective
I think it's important to point out that here it's only been maybe a few hours since the hospital scene. And here, Jack finally has time to think.
This it when he finally stops and thinks and realizes that he was wrong, that he didn't have any right to be mad at Save or Hope (or, well, he does, but how should also be able to understand their positions, because he's been there too), because they're all in the same situation in the end; and he realizes that Joke only did what he did for him. This is the moment when he finally has time to think and realize he was wrong (both about Save and about Joke), realize that he doesn't want to lose Joke, that he misses him.
Let's not forget that the start of Jack's character growth was to learn to forgive. And here, he shows that he's finally able to do this.
He works together with Save and Hope, he trusts them. Why didn't he call Joke to join them then? Well, I think he probably wanted things to calm down first so that after that he would have the time to actually talk to Joke. He didn't have the time to do that in the end, and that's the tragic thing.
But we know that's what he planned to do, because that's exaclty what he says.
Anyway, let's move on or this will become way too long lmao
It's not only in terms of learning to forgive that Jack grew. It's also in the way he finally decides to actively act to oppose Boss.
I mean, Jack was caught in Boss' web of power since he was young, and he's had to deal with the fact that he couldn't escape it, couldn't defeat it, for years. And so, he always submitted to Boss, in a way.
Yes, when he was a debt collector he went against him, in secret (and sacrificing himself and his own money), until Boss found out and Jack had to bow his head againt before him. When Gradma was in the hospital, he let himself in Boss' grasp again and even when Joke and Grandma slapped some sense into him his way to oppose Boss was to simply tell him he didn't want to marry Rose anymore, but was still willing to work for him; now, we know that that only worked because Joke had stolen the ring. What would have happened if Joke hadn't done that? Boss would have refused, of course, and Jack would have had bowed his head again.
Until now, Jack's actions were often passive, a result of him having no choice. Even when he played the ladder game against Lompran, that wasn't a real choice.
Not now, though. In this episode, Jack finally realizes that he can't keep doing it, that he needs to fight back for real. And this is the first time that Jack realizes that he can't always do the morally correct thing if he wants to defeat people like Boss.
Jack has always had really solid morals, and he's always lived by the fact that he needs to be better - better than the corrupted people in power who use them and look down on them. And that means he can't accept theft as a valid way to fix things, even if it would be justifiable and it would make things easier. But he can't do that, because that would mean that he's just as bad as them. Poor people are always expected to do the right thing.
Until now. Because now Jack has finally realized that he can't play it fair against people like them, he understood how that world works, and he realized that he needs to play following their game's rules.
He's learned the power game's rules and he's ready to play.
And that's what he does. He's able to take advantage of Lompran's greed and use it for his own ends, and he's not afraid of risking his own or Save's life - because he knows at this point that they can't play it safe anymore.
He played the game but he also kept his morals, because he still didn't do it for himself; he played their game but he's still better than them
Jack has mostly been a passive force until now, but in this episode he's finally the active force - he's the one with the plan, the one who takes the lead. (Joke, on the other had, has always been the active force of the show, and in this episode he's the passive one, but I'll make another post about this another day)
And I think this will be obvious in next episode too, when he'll (finally!) get a gun and do everything that's needed to save Joke and everyone else from Boss.
And he finally understood that the world isn't black and white and that sometime you need to do something "bad" to fight back, both for youself and for others. And that that doesn't mean you're a bad person.
#jack and joker#jack and joker the series#jack and joker: u steal my heart#jack & joker#jack & joker: u steal my heart!#honestly thank you if you really read all of this btw lmao i know its way too long#my posts#this is extremely long im sorry lmao#but ive been thinking about it#this is the first time that jack takes the lead and actually opposes boss in such an active way#without sacrificng himself#did you know that i love jack so much? if it wasnt obvious already#anyway you can expect another post like this but about joke#i havent talked enough about him bc i was too busy defending jack lol

Hils Watches Lovely Runner - Ep 16
Can't believe I'm at the end already. I forget that althought kdrama episodes are long there's a lot less of them
Of course he escaped. This dude really is like the terminator
Going under the cut because I don't want to spoil the ending
Well in a twist of irony he got hit by a truck and knocked into the river, which is what he did to Im Sol before this drama even started. I'm assuming he's not coming back from this and the rest of the drama will be about Im Sol and Sunjae sorting out their relationship
Oh. I thought that was going to take longer. There's still over an hour left to go on the episode!
They are so damn cute I can't deal with it
Poor Taesung. While Im Sol and Sunjae are snuggling and being adorable he's all beaten up and feels bad that someone died that he was chasing. He's a good boy. I want him to be happy.
Sunjae: I want to buy cake for my perfect girlfriend but no one can so we're dating so I'll just buy cake for everyone. I'm so smart.
I love him
I love that he's acting all cool but we all know what a nerd he is
I don't care how sweet and handsome he is if someone started pokling me while I was trying to write that laptop would be coming down on his head
Like that
I was going to use my usual congrats on the sex gif but they are still fully clothed so I guess they just snuggled
Yeah, I'm glad that they're all happy and in love now but I think they both have a ton of trauma that they probably need to work through at some point
I love that even Im Sol joking about them being married made Sunjae's brain go offline
Made his brain go offline and made him decide that actually, yes, he does want to marry her. LOL I can't wait to see how this conversation goes
I love Taesung so much
Aww they have to get drunk and bond in every timeline
I know they're a band rather an an idol group but imagine being at a baby's birthday party and BTS or someone like that shows up to perform
I love grandma so much
Yeah, I'm, crying too
He had his 5 minutes of being a cool celebrity and now he's back to being a dork again
I'm really glad they haven't gone down the route of 'she has the man she loves and that's all she needs for her happy ending'. Look at her being awesome as a movie director. Love it!
Heh that looks very similar to the software I used to when I tried to learn video editing. Ironically I decided it was too time consuming as a hobby so I decided to do gifmaking instead which is just as time consuming
Aww yay! I really enjoyed this! I don't watch a whole lot of het romance dramas but I'm really glad I watched this one. I absolutely loved it!

I just finished watching All The Light We Cannot See and I need to rant cause I’m loosing my damn mind.
First off, they took the character names and minor plot points and created their own story with them so at that point just crest something else and if you cannot handle showing the nuance of Werner’s character then you are not the right person to adapt this.
This is going to be filled with spoilers so be warned now.
Werner is a German boy who lives in an orphanage with his younger sister and one day he stumbles upon a radio and falls in love with it. He fixes it and him and his sister Jutta start learning about science and what Germany is actually doing by listing to a French broadcast. Two boys in his orphanage join the Hitler youth and Werner scared for his and Juttas safety destroys the radio which leaves Jutta furious with him. But it’s already too late. His entire town knows how capable he is with a radio and the nazis come for him to put him in a school. Werner who is very much living in a fantasy world in his head believes he will go to this school and will learn and learn and learn and by the time his finishes the war will have been lost and he will never have to contribute to anything, he may even win a noble prize. Jutta still furious with him has this conversation with him

and that’s the last time she ever sees her brother. Werner leaves willingly and you as the reader understand why, you know that if he were to refuse but him and his sister would be killed. You understand it and you even justify it.
Once at the school he meets Frederick and you instantly don’t want to like any of those other boys because they’re not like Werner, he’s there without having a choice. But you learn that Frederick is there only because his father is a high ranked nazi and his mother is waiting for the Jew up above them to be taken away so they can get the top apartment and they made sure he got into the school despite not being able to pass the tests to get in. One night the boys at the school are sent outside in the cold winter to torture a prisoner with cold buckets of water. When it’s Werner’s turn, he does it despite not wanting to and you understand it. He doesn’t have a choice. He would be killed if he refused. Once it’s Fredericks turn he refuses to throw the water. He’s beat and beat and beat. Everyday he is beaten worse and worse until he gets brain damage. Frederick had a choice. He chose the possibility of dying over throwing away his morals. Werner didn’t do that. Because of that your views on Werner begin to change.
Werner ends up going into the field to find illegal radio broadcasts, and while he himself never kills anyone he is directly responsible for many deaths. He ends up being sent to Saint-Malo to find Marie-Laure and her uncle and tracks them down instantly and upon seeing her he decides he’s not going to turn them in. To speed this along Werner ends up saving her life during the siege and they spend a few hours together where in his head he creates this fantasy of them living happily ever after which is juxtaposed with Marie-Laure allowing this German boy to wear her uncles clothes but knowing damn well that he’s not going to be able to hide his German accent. They part ways with Marie-Laure not giving him a second thought because she only wants to go find her uncle. Werner ends up dying a few days later.
You then go over to Jutta who along with the other girls form the orphanage have been sent to Russia to help the war efforts and when Germany looses the Russians take it out on the German women. She learns of Werner’s death and it doesn’t phase her. You fast forward to the 70s and Jutta is a married math teacher with a son, who is so deeply embarrassed and ashamed of her brother. A German man shows up at her door once day with a bad of her brothers belongings and it takes her weeks to open it. Upon opening it she finds the very notebook she had sent Werner to remind him of who he was. She opens it and is reminded of her brother’s innocence and decides along with her son that she is going to go to France to find out what happened to Werner. Jutta eventually finds Marie-Laure and her first thought upon seeing her is that her brother hurt her. Through the conversation Jutta is finally able to mourn her brother and realizes that it’s a lot more than bad vs good. But Marie-Laure is still conflicted with her thoughts on the German boy who saved her life. He doesn’t fit on either sides of the war.

You then jump to 2014 where Marie-Laure finally comes to terms with her thoughts on Werner.

Jutta and Marie-Laure’s feelings on Werner are also the readers feelings on him. The show completely stripped those feelings away. Werner in the show is a perfect human being and everyone forgives him within minutes of meeting him. Marie-Laure even kisses him and then fears for his life and wants to sneak him out of the city and meet up later so that they can spend their lives together.
Werner is such a complex character who you are so desperately rooting for while also feeling completely torn on him. The show is not willing to crest that conversation and beats you over the head with how good of a person Werner is, they rip Juttas character apart in order to make Werner more likable.
I don’t understand how this was made the way it was, I’m honestly still in shock. I had to laugh multiple times through out watching. I knew this show was in trouble as soon as I seen it was only 4 episodes. I hope one day this book gets a second chance and is made by people who understand the material.

From one of the smut days of the event, I used the below prompt for some of the teachers from Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun! It was such a fun ask and I enjoyed writing these, so I hope you lovely constant readers enjoy them as well. Where things didn't get too smutty, I didn't really feel the need to hide anything under a cut and hope that doesn't bother anyone.
SEND [LOSER] FOR THE CHARACTER’S REACTION TO YOU PLAYING THE WINNING HAND IN STRIP POKER
KALEGO
It was actually really damn hard to get Kalego to play strip poker in the first place. It’s not a game he would naturally be okay with playing – he thinks the whole thing is really stupid, something he makes clear at every single step of the game. You really only get him to play by striking blows against his ego and pride. While he took a couple blows to his ego, took a couple comments about how scared he must be about losing and having to show how inadequate he was, when the comments started getting more pointed and meanly stated, you know you’ve hooked him.
He’s a little scary and you’re really rather intimidated during the first few rounds. It’s why you kind of flub the first few hands. At least, that’s what you allow him to think. You want him to think he’s getting into your head, that he’s got you scared. You’re down to just your undergarments before you start your actual plan.
In truth, you’re kind of used to hustling poker games. It’s really one of your specialties. You know you have this in the bag, but you manage to keep the smirk off your face as you start winning hand after hand. It’s not long before Kalego is caught up to you in terms of states of undress.
You let him win a hand, take off your bra, get him a little distracted. It helps you win a little easier.
You throw down the winning hand, cocky smirk all over your face, teasing him as you demand he strip.
But it’s Kalego. Did you really expect things to be that easy?
Kalego’s surprisingly honorable. He’d never welsh on a bet, right? As much as it pains him, he’d strip and accept the loss and just harbor an insane grudge, right?
Thing you forgot about Kalego though…his crazy students and the sheer amount of trouble that seems to follow him around. Which is why, one moment, he’s there, and the next moment, he’s gone.
Meanwhile, Flufflego the familiar is really wishing Iruma had summoned him a little while back, when he’d been a bit more dressed. This is one time he hopes he gets to stay in familiar form for quite a while.
RAIM
Raim is actually pretty easy to talk into playing the game. To her, it’s all good fun, especially as it’s a game she’s known to play really well. Most of the time, the more clothes she loses, the worse at the game her opponent becomes, distracted by the ample flesh exposed in front of their eyes and the sexiness displayed by her.
It’s extremely rare for anyone to beat her, which is why it was so important for your competitive nature to do exactly that. You’d challenged her before and lost, re-challenged her and lost, challenged her again believing the third time was the charm and lost.
But this time, this time you knew you would win. You were feeling lucky and you’d felt you’d learned all kinds of lessons in the previous matches, where she’d beaten you and taken your money every time.
Knowing just how much this meant to you, finding it cute, and honestly not minding a little extra pocket money (there was that gorgeous skirt she’d seen in one of the shops that she wouldn’t mind having), Raim readily agreed to the match.
Raim definitely doesn’t make the game easy on you. While not a very competitive person herself, just enjoying such things mostly for fun, Raim does have enough ego and pride to prevent her from taking it easy on anyone. If she’s going to do something, she’s going to do it to the best of her ability. She’s not going to just roll over and let you win – she is a teacher, after all, and no student learns by their teacher doing that.
So she uses her succubus skills and she teases you throughout the game, trying to shake you up, get you off your game. She flirts, tells you that if you wanted to see her naked so badly, all you ever needed to do was ask, plays footsy with you under the table, letting her foot trail up your thigh at one point until you almost jump out of your chair.
You’re doing every single thing you can think of, focusing so hard on the game, trying every trick you have learned to defeat her. You’d just about figured you were going to lose this one too though, just about abandoned hope, when you picked up just the card you needed.
You throw your hand down triumphantly, grinning ear to ear. You finally beat Raim and to say you’re thrilled is an understatement.
Raim takes it all in really good stride though. She’s honestly really happy for you because it’s obvious how much this meant to you. And the thought of stripping off all her clothes, of being naked, just really isn’t a bother to the succubus. She’d have zero issue with walking around naked all the time, if she was to tell the truth. It’s nothing to her.
She does have to give it her best try though. After stripping completely naked, making sure that there’s a little extra swing in her hips, that her tone is honied, oozing with provocation, she lays herself in your lap, congratulating you while asking if you’re quite sure you want the money from winning or if there’s not an alternate prize she can convince you to take…after all, that is her nail money for the week and she’s more upset about losing that than her clothes.
It takes every single ounce of determination in you because god damn, she is truly talented at what she does and god damn, do you want to take her up on that offer, but you reach behind her and take the money.
She holds a grudge more over that than anything else, but the grudge gets settled at the next game, where she makes sure to invite more of the teachers.
ROBIN
You’d been amusing yourself with a deck of cards one day when Robin stopped by your room. You’d asked him if he wanted to stay and play cards with you. Of course, he accepts happily. In Robin’s eyes, you’re the best of the best – you always find things to compliment him on, you seem to value his opinion and take him seriously as a teacher, you put up with his boundless enthusiasm and energy better than most do. He’s never turning down an opportunity to spend time with you. He’d have to be nuts to do that, is the only thing he can think.
It’s when you’re deciding what card game to play together that Robin shocks you. You make a joke off the top of your head about how the two of you could always play a round of strip poker, laughing to make it obvious that you’re just kidding around with him. Robin is instantly curious. The boy doesn’t seem to know at all what strip poker is. He admits to only having played regular poker once or twice and doesn’t get, at least at first, what strip poker is. How’s it different from regular poker?
You can’t do much other than just sit there, leaning back in your chair when he asks that. Your face is just slack, mouth a little open in disbelief and ‘huh?’ness. He asked such a stupid question, such an obvious question, so innocently and earnestly and you have to admit it was cute, though you really find yourself stuck as to how best to answer it.
You try to ‘no answer’ route, where you just sit back up towards the table, changing the conversation and hoping Robin will roll with that.
He doesn’t.
Eventually, just to get him to be quiet and to stop asking, you explain the nature of the game and all the rules. Robin’s eyes keep getting bigger and bigger as you explain everything and he’s determined and decided in the fact that the two of you are playing this game.
He does let you know, though, that if you feel too uncomfortable taking off you clothes after he wins, you can always chicken out at some point and he won’t hold it against you for doing so. Not one bit.
His little act of kindness wasn’t taken so well by you though. You got a little offended by his assumption that he’d win; it kicked your competitiveness up just a little bit.
Okay, a lot. As in, competitive enough to cheat the last couple hands. In your defense, Robin was killing that game, though he was claiming it was all down to beginner’s luck.
Some slight of hand though and you start catching up. Soon it’s not just you in your underwear and socks, but Robin too.
You’re careful not to arouse his suspicions. You let yourself lose your socks before you have a good hand, then your bra, before finally beating Robin, laying down the perfect hand for your last turn.
Robin takes it like a champ. He looks crestfallen at first, a little upset he hadn’t won, but he’s also a fantastic sport. He congratulates you on winning and tells you how good you did. He even asks if you’ll play with him some more sometime, teach him some tricks and tips so that he can beat you someday.
Once you promise to do so, you stare at him, waiting to see if he’d call chicken or not. He notices you staring, sees you watching him, and the moment just hovers there. He starts to blush and is red as a lobster by the time his hands go to the waistband of his boxers.
He’s careful about pulling them down. One of his hands slips under the waistband of the boxer and you realize, once he starts pulling them down with his free hand, it’s to cup his penis and testicles, to try to hide himself from you like a man would at the doctor’s.
It might have worked. It honestly probably would have worked…if he had been entirely soft. However, Robin’s sporting the start of a chubby, about at half-mast, and though he’s trying admirably, it’s just a little too much for his single hand to hide from your eyes.
For such a thin, tiny man, he was surprisingly endowed.
You have a real hard time keeping from staring until he calls you out on it.
Even when you think you have him licked, Robin seems to be able to turn the tables on you.
You’re not quite sure if you like that or not.

AU where Ozai wins the spirit battle against Aang during Sozin Comet and becomes the new Avatar.
Hello, @stardust948 !!! (This could have been a lot darker but I’m in a comedy mood)
1. When Aang loses, no one knows that he’s now not the Avatar. They just know he’s lost and was forced to flee with Sokka, Suki and Toph. Katara, Zuko and Azula are still at the palace and know something is wrong. They try to flee without Azula but she actually asks to go with them because she was beaten and she really doesn’t want to be alone to face Ozai (she doesn’t know why but she has a feeling he won). They get on Appa and fly to where Sokka, Suki and Toph were supposed to be and get the four. Since Aang is tapped out, they’re forced to fly off and regroup. They decide to head back to Ember Island for the time being so they can think over what to do. In this time, everyone tends to their wounds, Azula stays pretty much on her own, and Aang grows angry about how he failed. Katara, trying to help, offers a waterbending training sessions which Aang agrees to. When they try to bend a simple waterball back and forth, Aang finds that he can’t. In fact, he can’t bend anything aside from air. (Aang: What happened?! Katara: You’re sure you can’t bend anything besides air? Aang: Positive! It’s like the other three forms just disappeared! Katara: Well, if you’re not the Avatar anymore…then who is?)
2. Ozai is weakened very much by the Avatar’s attack and his airships have been damaged. He tells those who remain to stay put (cause he can’t be there and he’d die if he wasn’t center stage during Sozin’s Comet). It’s a set back but they’ll destroy the Earth Kingdom later. Ozai is brought aboard one of the ships for a medical examination and nothing is found to be wrong but Ozai, internally, feels off. He tells everyone to leave and remains in the room by himself, eventually falling asleep until they return to the palace. He receives word that Azula is gone but just takes the title back himself and is Fire Lord and Phoenix King at the same time. That night, he’s meditating when he decides to get some water. Getting up, he accidentally trips and waterbends. (Ozai is like 99% sure he’s not a waterbender). He tries firebending, but he also takes a wack at waterbending, earthbending and airbending and can do all of them. Ozai doesn’t know how but he’s the Avatar now. (Not only that, but there are a lot of angry voices in his head. He can’t explain it but once sounds like a very pissed off Earth Kingdom woman and the other a very, very pissed off Air Nomad woman).
3. The Gaang is trying to understand how Aang isn’t the Avatar anymore. Does this mean there’s a new Avatar? Who is it? Is there some new baby in the South Pole? Did Aang somehow start all over with his bending progress? While everyone else is freaking out and trying to find a solution, Sokka is trying to decide what they should do since Sozin’s Comet wasn’t the victory or defeat any of them suspected. They heard that Ozai didn’t continue with the attack so BSS is still standing but that doesn’t make any sense to them at all. (Sokka: He had the perfect opportunity to get rid of the city, why not do it? Aang: Maybe he realized he could choose another path? Everyone:… Sokka: Normally, I wouldn’t consider that but that might be a possible scenario here. Azula, off to the side: Ha! My father would sooner give up his bending than not use Sozin’s Comet. Katara: Then why is Ba Sing Se still standing? Azula:… Suki: Could something have happened to Ozai during that big light beam show? Aang….Huh?)
4. Ozai can hardly move without bending another element and, of course, he doesn’t want anyone to know he somehow can bend all four elements. Under normal circumstances, he’d be very proud to show off his new power but anytime he even considers using his bending in that way, Kyoshi is on him. (He’s 70% sure she can read his thoughts and it’s so annoying). This being said, I kinda want a Roku & Ozai friendship. Roku knew Azulon, a younger version but still, and Ozai has no fond memories of his father. (Kyoshi: Ah, daddy issues. Why does everyone in this family have daddy issues? Yangchen: Says mommy issues. Kyoshi: I do not have- Yangchen: Let’s not go back and forth right now….but you totally do. Kuruk: And it’s not everyone in the Royal Family who has daddy issues, Azula’s got mommy issues. Kyoshi: Oh, yeah, I forgot about her. Szeto: You and the comics). Roku and Ozai talk frequently after everything that happens. They develop kind of an older brother & younger brother relationship with Roku trying to give Ozai good life advice and Ozai saying “I’m gonna do the opposite of that.”
5. The Gaang decides to leave Ember Island and try to regroup with the White Lotus. While heading to the EK, they’re captured by FN soldiers and brought to the capital (without the Avatar and being tired from the comet both physically and mentally they aren’t on their best game). Everyone is put in prison, including Azula who is internally having a heart attack, when Ozai comes and demands to see Aang. Everyone, minus Azula, starts going crazy because they think Ozai is about to kill Aang. Instead, Ozai takes him to a private room and just starts yelling at him (Ozai: What did you do to me?!? Aang: What do you mean what did I do to you?! Ozai: I didn’t know being the Avatar was contagious!) Aang learning that Ozai is the Avatar now would probably make him both laugh, cry and nervously be like ‘what spirits in the spirit world okayed tbis’. (Aang: What do you want me to do? Ozai: I want you to teach me how to keep these other inferior bending forms under control. I can’t move my wrist without throwing water at something. Aang: Why should I help you? You were just trying to kill me a week ago. Ozai: I won’t let all your friends die. Aang: But then I really won’t help you and you’re back at where you started but now three masters down. Ozai:…What do you want?) Spoiler Alert: Aang wants his friends to be free but they find the knowledge that Ozai is the new Avatar way too terrifying and hilarious to just leave. Which is how Ozai gets Katara, Toph and Aang as his new teachers and maybe a “not as big a jerk as you could have been” award.

how do u feel about curly from mouthwashing?
Ah Curly, the burnt man in bandages… the EVA01 aesthetically inspired character.
When I first saw this guy I thought Mouthwashing was some kind of horror survival game and he was a Silent Hill kind of monster or something, lol.
Curly wasn't too much of a bad person… but he was a bad leader. Which is quite sad for a man who means no harm to others. He tries hard to keep things in control and avoid confrontation… the later one having devastating consecuences for everyone. Perhaps all of the gruesome events could have been prevented if he didn't told his crew about the company's decision of firing them all and acted with a colder head, keeping the bad news to himself until the job was done for the sake of keeping the team's morale high. Or if he actually tried to put Jimmy in his place for once, specially after knowing what he did to Anya. The later case being a subject of a lot of discussion: what kind of actions could he had taken?, there were no locks on the rooms to keep him away from the rest of the group. Or maybe he could had just beaten him up? Still, his very passive reply of "I will just talk to him" left a lot of people thinking he was an enabler. Which is true… but the place where things happened didn't give much options either due to Pony Express pitiful and inadequate ship management. So it's a combination of both things in the end.
I must admit the friendship between the two is kinda strange for me to understand. The game does not tell us exactly for how long Curly and Jimmy have been friends, but it must have been a long time enough for Curly to normalize Jimmy's manipulative nature and his constant pull of the "victim card". Curly helped Jimmy to get that pilot job in the first place due to the man struggling back on Earth, said struggles does not seem to be specified but one might have a general idea of it and thus, I theorize Curly must have probably minimized his friend's problematic behaviour just for the sake of keeping their friendship… The captain seemed to struggle with his own issues as well… feeling unsatisfied with his life, his work. Quite the irony since Jimmy literally both loathes and envys what he has. And yet, despite Jimmy showing this attitude towards him, Curly still sees him as a friend, someone who could still be talked over with if he does something wrong. I do wonder why he prioritizes his friendship with Jimmy over his friend's awful actions…
Perhaps because he seeks a sense of belonging, something to strive for to give him a sense of happiness, considering that he feels stagnant despite the praise and respect he receives from others. And maybe he sees Jimmy the closest thing he has to that… his friendship. A manipulative, toxic friendship but it's something for him…

Evangelion episode 16. Here, Shinji is having an inner monologue when trapped by Angel Leliel, about how he percieves himself, how he's percieved by others and how he cares deeply of what others think of him, trying to latch on what little approval he receives. But as soon as unpleasant memories come back, he "runs away", trying to focus only of the positive things.

Avoidance of responsability due to fear of facing the unpleasant side of things.
But in the end, it all comes tumbling down and explodes right in front of him, literally. Now, he genuinely cannot do anything at all to stop or talk to Jimmy. He has to witness his alleged friend finally descend into madness, seeing the other members of the Tulpar dying by the damaging consecuensces of Jimmy's actions. He cannot longer even close his eye(s) and pretend Jimmy is his close friend and good pilot.
And in what I call a "cruel attempt of redemption" from Jimmy, Curly is given the chance to survive in a cryostasis pod. As if it's a good act of friendship and "fixing things", leaving the former capitan completely devastated both physically and mentally.
Overall, a tragic character indeed… but not entirely innocent.
Thanks for stoping by.

Hazbin Hotel AU/Rewrite idea: Aurora Carmine
There are two complaints I have seen about Hazbin Hotel
The Angelic Weapon weakness is stupid. How come no one figured it out before?
Please Let Vaggie have a character outside of being Charlie's GF.
I, like many others, have latched onto the idea of Carmilla being a mother figure to Vaggie, and the AUs where she is outright adopted. I recently had an idea where I took this concept and expanded on it to TRY and solve the two above issues.
The reason it is called the Aurora Carmine AU is because Carmilla's existing daughters, Odette and Clara, are named after characters from ballets written by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, them being Swan Lake and the Nutcracker respectively. So a third daughter would be Aurora, from Sleeping Beauty. Whether or not this would actually be Vaggie's true name, rather than the Vagina name Adam gave her, would depend on if she IS truly Carmilla's biological daughter that somehow got separated from her.
Ok so what do we know about Vaggie? She was one of Adam's top exorcists who spared a Sinner child and in response, Lute mutilated her and left her for dead.
For my idea, expand on Vaggie's hesitation to kill a kid. It shows she has standards, not everyone in Hell deserves Extermination, but that doesn't mean she is against it entirely. Maybe, much like Moxie in Helluva Boss episode 1 Murder Family, she thinks they should be more selective and actually go after the real pieces of shit, like Overlords. Imagine if Vaggie becomes the top girl to Adam because she tries to go after Overlords, not weak everyday Sinners. She thinks that by having the Overlords be targeted more it'll discourage other Sinners from seeking that power, but all it does is cause the next up-and-coming Overlord from rotating in. For some extra trouble maybe she is the reason some Overlords are in power now, like Valentino, thus making her partially responsible that Angel Dust is under him as she opened the way for Val to gain that power.
Anyway this continues until the Extermination where she ends up letting a Sinner go, but it isn't a child, that is way too obvious and easy. Instead, it is Odette, who went out to collect the Angelic Weapons early before the Exterminations are nearly over because she has been working herself to the bone to stay useful to her mother because she has it in her head that she has to do everything she can to not be a burden. After all, her mom worked so hard to get where she is so their family can be safe. It was meant to be a whole other idea where I explored where Carmilla draws the line between being a mother who cares for her kids and being a cruel Overlord who can't show weakness.
Odette is nearly exhausted, probbaly injured, and possibly on some kind of drugs to keep herself awake when Vaggie encounters her, Odette is desperately crawling away, Clara tries to come in and help her. But instead Vaggie sympathisers with the need to feel needed, and lets them go.
For Lute damaging Vaggie, here is my idea for how Angels would work differently. Angels are more like Sinners here. You CAN damage them, but they regenerate like INSTANTLY, like Lobo but maybe slightly slower. Unlike the Sinners who take a while to heal from their non-angelic injuries. Here, Lute removes Vaggie's Halo, which is what causes them to heal so quickly (this can only be done by a fellow angel or one of higher rank to explain why no Sinner does this), this means the injuries will heal much slower and thus leave her open to be taken out or beaten up or abused by the various Sinners once they come out after the Extermination.
When Carmiulla goes to find her daughters and bring them home, they encounter Vaggie's broken and bleeding form, Odette and Clara say she spared them, and Carmilla decides to take Vaggie home. After all, had it been ANY other Exorcist, her daughters would be dead. She owes her.
Back at Carmilla's place of course they need to treat the wounds. We know Hell has medical stuff that can treat angelic wounds down in Sloth, but those are A. in another Ring, and B. was only used for a noble Goetia. But Carmilla probably has some black market contacts to get some stuff to help. I doubt Pentagram City has a hospital considering Sinners heal and they are SUPPOSED to be dying from Angelic Weapons.
But now another problem, based on how Verosika's Beelzejuice alcohol mutated that fish in Spring Broken, Hell's chemicals have a mutative effect on non-Hell entities. so using the Hell medicine to jumpstart her healing ends up causing her to become a sort of semi-fallen Angel and gain the moth traits that everyone likes to give her. Lucifer became Fallen through an official process it seems while canon!Vaggie was just mutilated but is still physiologically no different from any other Angel.
Carmilla offers her a place at Carmine Industries as she could prove useful in some ways, she already shared her daughters' lives so Carmilla already saved hers. She knows to take advantage of a situation, even if she is still grateful. I mean it isn't like Vasggie has anywhere else to go.
So Vaggie stays there for a bit, possibly doing more desk work than being out among Hell so they can keep an eye on her and she is inexperienced with Hell. Eventually, Clara or Odette could stop playing up the "We are the powerful in-control demons who own you" act and just be casual with her and try to hang out with her. Expressing their own gratitude.
Yada yada yada, a lot of slow-burn bonding where Vaggie becomes more acquainted to Hell. This would all take place either in the 80s like she was first conceptualized, or in 2014 like she was later. To give her more of a history before Charlie.
Things get sour though, because Vaggie has her own opinions on Carmine's business. She is selling Angelic Weapons to people in the street, essentially causing the endless death to not just stop after the Exterminations are over. She has been strict but fair, so why doesn't she use the Angelic Weapons she's gathered to enforce some kind of Order in Hell? Why is she just using her power and influence to hide and protect herself instead of trying to do good? Carmilla of course points out how this is stupid and how that would invite a lot of dangerous people to retaliate. You work with the system, not against it. This is Hell, you adapt to the chaos, not try to tame it.
This causes friction between the two which ruins any chance at them deepening their relationship because Vaggie is really someone who wants to feel useful but still has a good enough head on her shoulders to know when she is ordered to do something wrong.
Then Vaggie meets Charlie and ends up befriending her, this would be before the Hotel gets fully built so she hasn't announced it to anyone, but Charlie wants to do something to help with the Exterminations and Vaggie starts to get a bit on board with it. Yeah Charlie is a bit naive about it, but at least she is ACTIVELY trying to do something to help Hell rather than use her privilege as a shield.
Eventually, Vaggie moves out with Charlie and the plot of Hazbin goes on as per usual.
When Carmilla fights the Exorcists, she puts a new theory to the test, based on a situation she noticed with Vaggie. After she was made into a pseudo-fallen, she seemed to become as vulnerable to Angelic Steel as any other Sinner. So it isn't just one kick from her Angelic Steel boots that does the Exorcist in, Carmilla has a grenade that has its shrapnel laced with Demonic Chemicals so when they pierce the Exorcist's bodies, they infect and corrupt the body during the regeneration process, allowing them to be vulnerable to the Angelic Weapons. I think by adding this little extra step it doesn't overcomplicate things but also makes it make a bit more sense why no one figured it out before, because Carmine is the only one to get a close look at an Angel like she did.
Now of course this would add some stuff to the canon show as well, like Vaggie likely having some reaction to Clara and Odette bringing over the weapons for Sir Pentious, and the interaction with Carmilla for the Angelic Weapon weakness in Hello Rosie. Maybe Vaggie didn't know it was the Hell Medicine affecting her that made her Fallen and thus vulnerable, maybe she thought it was just a natural effect of Hell on her, or something due to her being kicked out by the Exorcists. So her learning that Carmilla took this knowledge from her and made it into a weapon that has caused a lot of trouble could be viewed as a big breach of trust.
Vaggie would obviously have sparred with Clara and Odette in her years with them so the fight wouldn't be AS one-sided, because Vaggie would know they can take advantage of her offense-only fighting style.
I moreso just had the backstory details worked out so I have no idea where the canon relationship would change from here, but I think it is an interesting idea.
There might be SOME things I missed or overlooked, so please point those out if you see them and how it might mess with the story and it's cohesion.

I know I've been neglecting my Tumblr as of late regarding my art, so to remedy that I have decided to dump my newest sans OCS on you and (mostly) all their information :3
Heres pt 2 with Plum and Cypher;)
Enjoy
First up is!
Cassiopeia, or Cassie for short is the Sans of this universe(which I don't have a name for yet) she is 5'2 and trans.
Her drink of choice is tea! all kinds, she's not picky! She actually is a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to the stuff. And when she wants to treat herself she likes to add condiments to her cup to add a bit of flavor.
Her personality is similar to og sans but she's a lot more elegant in her mannerisms. She's also VERY slow to anger/irritation and even slower to show it. Let's just say, never play poker with her.
She still has 1 hp, and isn't a fan of physical combat. She likes being covert and subdues any treats with the stardust that surrounds her skull. As when inhaled it can give the victim a calming effect or put them into a deep sleep, depending on how much they've puffed. She does also have bones and blasters but rarely needs to use them due to her stardust being so effective.
Instead of being a quantum physics nerd, Cassie is a medical doctor. I'm not sure what specifically but what I do know is that she is very educated on human Bodies and monster souls. She had tried to learn quantum physics when she was younger but it just didn't click with her, she was never a numbers gal.
I like to imagine she's friends with Baggs sans or Wine. For Baggs, I think they would grow close while having deep conversations about their respective jobs and tell stories about all the crazy injuries they've had to deal with. That, and she can use her stardust to put him to sleep, that's my head canon at least. She also likes teasing him about his height, she thinks his reactions are hilarious.
As for Wine, i feel like they like debating each other. Their favorite topic to debate over being what's the better drink, wine or tea. And let me tell ya, it will get very intense. And not in the 'toss a couple chairs at each other' kinda way, more so in the calm on the surface yet internally wishing death upon the other, all in good fun of course. The most hostile thing they'd do to each other is send a passive aggressive yet deeply accurate comment. Sometimes Coffee likes to sit in the corner and listen to them while he draws, it's good background noise.
As for Papyrus or Zephyr,
His personality is a lot like og pap, just more blunt and a lot more willing to initiate a friendly sparring session.
He's kind of a gym junkie, always training out to get stronger. He absolutely LOVES working out and even has weighted plating for his boots, gauntlets, shoulder and knee pads.
Due to his love for sparring, he often gets into friendly brawls with the other members of the royal guard stationed in snowdin, and has beaten every single one. These feats were obviously reported to Undyne. And Undyne, Impressed by his feats, offered Zeph a position in the royal guard. Papyrus obviously was ecstatic, and accepted immediately.
However due to actually getting a position in the royal guard, the rose tinted glasses he'd always held onto have been a bit wiped down due to the actual nature of the guard not being quite what he expected. Still though, he holds out hope for all the fame and recognition he rightfully deserves.
Zephyr is a full on tank when it comes to fighting, he's a heavy hitter and very agile, even with his weighted gear. He mainly uses punches and kicks for precise direct hits but isn't afraid to give his appoint a good knee or elbow to throw them off.
His weapons of choice are brass knuckles, they pack a punch on their own but when he's feeling a bit murdery, he's able to reinforce them with his magic.
Besides training he also loves to paint. Any blank surface you can think of, he's painted on. He's painted his armor, shorts, safety pads, and his own face!
He even paints on lashes to match with Cassie's (which are made of magic). He changes the paint on his face everyday, it's always something new but he seems to favor cloud and sun motifs.
When Zeph isnt training he is always neck deep in a painting project, weather it be one he was working on for several days or a new idea he just made up and really wanted to do. Sometimes he has Cassie help with some of his projects, though she either lazily draws a sick man, or a handprint. Typical lazy sans behavior, it annoys Zeph to no end but he never paints over any additions made
Due to being a Doctor, Cassie is a slight germaphobe(more so in her workplace) but she puts that aside and gets her hands dirty for him
The clouds around his head change with his mood Like pepa from encanto. He can also manipulate them, making the clouds big and fluffy to ride on or catch someone when falling, or even creating fog or mist to act like a smoke screen.
Zephyr's dish of choice is pastries, some witch he lends to Cassie to go with her tea. It's more of a casual thing than something he's passionate about though
Next up is my favorite at the moment! OUTCODE: E770R2095E!! Or Code:E for short! Pronounced Cody ;) (updated ref here)
He his, like his name states, an outcode. However no one really knows where he comes from. Ink's theory is that he was supposed to be an error sans, but something went wrong and now he's just here.
He exists somewhere in the anti-void, no where close to Error, seeing as how he had no idea Code:E existed for the longest time. Having nothing to do with his time, he sits in the anti-void going over codes.
When he's eventually discovered by Error, immediately Error is pissed as he feels Code:E is trying to copy him. And true to his title, he tries to destroy Code:E. However, it didn't quite work out. Every time Error tried attacking, it had always just fazed through him, leaving Code:E completely unbothered. Eventually he finds that Code:E has no soul. Due to this he has no emotions and Error can't check his code, and even if he tried it would be completely an utter gibberish.
Dispite not having any actual emotions, he has this inate want to learn and grow, asking questions about anything and everything. He often gets compared to an AI by Error because of this.
He has no real powers or magic but can copy the code of any sans type just by looking at them, other outcodes included. And when I say copy, I mean copy. With one look he knows all about you, your au, your powers, everything. Usually when this happens his eyes gloss over with static as he lists everything he sees in the code out loud.
Being able to copy code, he is also able to copy the appearance of the sans he sees and even use their magic.
When he can't do something or is just thinking really hard on one thing in particular, Code:E's eyes get staticy and his form glitches a helluva lot more.
He can also create portals to other universes with the pink tear like glitches under his eyes. Though he never uses it, as he never sees the need to. He mostly uses them to observe and learn about the multiverse. He spends most of his time sitting in the little anti-void where he first was created. Just sitting there.
Doing nothing.
All alone.
Well, not totally. Due to Error being a complete drama queen, he often complains about Code:E aloud allowing Ink to overhear. And ink, like the nosy like little shit he is, annoys Error to show him what's got his strings all bundled up. He eventually caved and led Ink to Code:E. And after a pretty disturbing interaction, Ink complains to the star sans' about him. Upon hearing it, Dream, always with the bleeding heart, decides to visit Code:E and announces that they're friends. Code:E doesn't quite understand it, but goes along anyway as Dream teaches him about more aus and how emotions work. Even so, he rarely has time to visit due to his role in the multiverse.
But their is one person who does visit regularly..
And his name is- (updated ref + more information)
RETRO!! A fellow outcode!
He's a very outgoing and rambunctious spirit, going all around all kinds of AUs to do anything he wants! Weather that be wreaking havoc with pranks or just relaxing under the stars in outertale. However due to his chaotic neutral nature, he often has run-ins with both the star sans' AND the bad sans' usually having to escape in outrageous ways and hide in the anti-void for a few hours.
And during one of his little escapades, into the anti-void he meets Code:E. At first he's startled, especially when Code:E tries copying Retro's code, and can't. Leaving Code:E perplexed and Intrigued as this had never happened with any sans he had seen. He asks all sorts of questions about Retro, some more personal than others, and after giving some non answers Retro asks about Code:E.
Code:E is absolutely floored(as floored as one with no soul can be) as no one had actually asked him anything about what he wanted to do or needed. He told him as such and for some reason, this had hit Retro directly in the soul. He had found it relatable. And so from that moment forward, Retro vowed to be Code:E's friend. He even gave Code:E his nickname. And later, his poncho.
I bet your wondering about the gell I described in the photo, well it's simple really. It's basically the gels from Portal. THATS RIGHT IM UNORIGINAL!! FUCKING SUE ME!! /J
HE ALSO HAS PORTALS HA!
In all seriousness though, yes I did just give him the powers from Portal, and yes he can make actual portals, but these help him travel through aus. The portals are his magic while he made the gel with science. For his portals idk if I want it to only work on white surfaces so that can be up to interpretation
Alright that's all the info I got! Here are the doodles I have that I have no idea where to put! The ones with Cassie and Zeph are a bit old so plz ignore any design inconsistencies!

I lost u again 😭 I'm sorry
I'm here to talk about ur 🐢angst au if it's ok🥺
1) I was genuinely happy to see u including the bay bois into ur fic. Not a lot of ppl like them which is a shame cuz I think theyre great(I'm biased lmao I love all iterations)And I honestly can't wait to see the bay fam interact with everyone else.(Honestly the 2012 bois desperately need elder siblings or like a stable adult figure in their lives cuz YIKES they keep losing everyone 😭)
2)U mentioned B4 in a hypothetical scenario that the other alternates would freak when they realized the 2012 bois were constantly fighting kraang daily. Do u think it would happen again when they realize the extent of like what they had to go thru? Like aside from the comics, 2003 and 2012 r like basically getting beaten up in every way possible 😭 (the creators literally were like hmm 🤔 how should we torture them today? And got paid for it😭 like have u SEEN the stuff they go thru? My bois :(( )
The 2012 bois stepped out of isolation and practically turned into soldiers as soon as they went topside. Splinter taught them how to fight so they could defend themselves but then they had to do more than just defend. So much more :((
How do u think the other would react if they ever find out about this info?-🫘
HI MY LOVE YOU CAN ALWAYS ASK ABOUT THE ANGST AU
the bay boys are actually one of my absolute favorite iterations of the turtles. i think their characterization is done so well, i love the relationships they have with each other + splinter + april, and their fight scenes are some of the most engaging!!
I think the 2012 boys would, at first, be a little unsure about totally having to rely on older versions of themselves, because the only older sibling figures they have are Xever and Chris, so having a new group that is totally prepared to take them under their wings and take care of them so they don't have to take care of themselves? It would be very, very odd for them. And yeah, they'd also be hesitant to trust them just due to the amount of abandonment issues they've all got, but I do think that once they get past all that, they're absolutely inseparable from them, especially Raph and Leo and their bayverse counterparts!
OHHHHH i have so many thoughts about the absolute horror the other groups feel once they realize just how much fighting the 2012 boys have had to do.
you're so right, they've been fighting for years nonstop. With the Bayverse boys, they fought Shredder twice, never encountered the Kraang, and really only had run-ins with the Foot. The MM Boys are new to everything, and they've only ever fought Super Fly and a few others. The Rise boys are kind of the only ones who come close to how much the 2012 boys have fought, but even they've only fought the Kraang once, and Shredder isn't as much of a threat to them as he is to the 2012 turtles.
I have an idea in my mind of Donnie showing the others a video of all the brothers from a few years prior, like just something they made maybe a little bit after they started going topside, and Mikey starts laughing and says "I forgot how different you used to sound, Leo!"
and the other 2012 boys also start laughing, so ofc Blue asks "what, did you go through puberty or something?"
and Leo just shakes his head and says "We fought the Shredder, and I basically went into a coma for a month before waking up, and my voice changed since there was a shit ton of damage to my throat"
there is just the LOUDEST silence after he says that, and the others immediately start to talk over each other, attempting to make it sound less awful, but just doing a terrible job.
Raph: "It's no big deal, I got my brain switched with a Kraang, and I've honestly lost count of how many times I've been poisoned during fights"
Mikey: "I got trapped on the Kraang's home planet for a few months! That really messed with my sense of time, though"
Donnie: "I got disintegrated."
but it does not help at all, and the 2012 boys suddenly find themselves in the middle of a giant group hug, with the Splinters all holding their boys close, and the bayvers boys secretly making plans to make sure their little bros don't ever get hurt again, meanwhile the MM and Rise boys are wondering if it's possible to send anyone who has ever hurt their big bros into a black void.
(also the Raphs comparing fights and injuries and Red talking about how his shell was cracked during the fight with the Kraang when he was protecting Blue, and they all ask Raph how his shell was cracked, and he tells them it happened when he was a toddler and a Kraang robot attacked his sensei and his brothers and he fell out of the carrier and had the cart land on his back and the others just have to try SO hard not to start crying and bundling Raph in as many blankets as possible)

Ripper stomps into the confessional, an hour or so after the first challenge was over. He does his business in the outhouse as usual, but while rubbing his head, and gritting his teeth. "Ugh. What the hell happened? What am I?" He mutters to the confessional, forlorn and waving at himself.
He'd instantly correct anybody assuming he was upset from his team losing. He's very confident he's still in, especially from the amount of weak-willed nerds on his team. He is a little upset he lost in specific, but considering the challenge was "dodge balloons from the best pitcher in Woman's Baseball," he has to be humble sometimes and say not even he can fight against Axe Hatchet. No, his distress is from something much more embarrassing. "So, here's the problem." He tries to speak to the audience directly, knowing that Chris has encouraged them all to do so at a meeting off camera. "I came here to win. I came here to crush the competition in a way that I wasn't able to last season! I was too distracted with things like records, which I've already beaten anyway! And nothing else should stop me!" "So why is-! Why-! Axel is-!" He growls, balling his fists. "Why is it so hard to talk about this?! It's muddied up in my head like fog!" "So." He tried to start over, shaking his head. "I hate Axel, yes? I hate her a lot." It was something about Axel, he knows that. The fact that he kept getting pushed around and beaten by Axel. That Axel, who he got out last season for causing his heart to beat in emotion like a crack of thunder, or like the growling of his stomach. Axel made him react, so Ripper reacted back, throwing insults at her like he did to somebody like Millie. No matter how ill-fitting of the label 'Nerd' Axel was, he'd treat her just like he'd treat them. "She's very much like me. We match brains and brawn, we're harsh, we're loners. Neither of us care about anybody but ourselves! We're destined to be rivals, to be opponents! We're enemies!" He, obliviously, smiled. Balling his fist down onto his palm, he continued. "She even tripped me up in today's challenge! I hate her."
"So..." He dropped down. "So why... Um... Ughhhhh! There's-! Something in here that I'm trying to get out but it's muddied up with everything! Why are emotions hard!" He once again grit his teeth, and continued. He's stubborn, he'll do whatever he wants no matter what! If his mind isn't letting him do what he wants, he'll just fight back against his own mind! Come on, Ripper! Take it out! That glistening little sparkle that's covered up! You are upset! And by whatever you can do, Ripper, you will say what is making you upset-! "I liked it when she pushed me down!" It flows out like a waterfall, the dam finally broken and destroying everything in its wake. "And when she tripped me during the challenge! She's so strong and confident and knows what she's doing, that she's decided that I'm a threat against her! Me, somebody whose just as strong as her, she sees me as a threat, like I deserve to be! Being hit, being attacked and pushed down by her, it's me being kicked down and shown who I am! Somebody who's strong enough to matter, that she's strong enough to actually hurt me! And..." ...He crumpled, after everything he bottled up hits him. He looks at the camera. "...I'm not supposed to care about other people. I'm Ripper, the strongest kid in the school, the one whose beaten the record for the longest continuous fart! I'm great! I'm a king! I'm not supposed to be a... lovestruck dweeb." "But I am, now. I see Axel, and I want her to hit me, to show me how much of a badass she is. I wanna be hurt by her, and then make out with her. I'm swooning over a zombie survivalist for gods sake! I'm not nearly as much of a man as I thought I was..." He sighs, and gets up. He likes Axel. He has a crush on her, on the girl who, as far as he can tell, actually genuinely dislikes him. Oh, he'd love to have a girl swoon over him and for him to date her. But this isn't that. This is him getting blushy over a girl because she beats him up sometimes. He's starting to actually care. He exits the confessional, with mixed feelings on if he actually wanted to unearth that buried realization. Well... It's too late now. He knows that he's into her now. The only question is... What now?

I hate the defense of dramatic irony for Lanolin's actions, to be honest. Especially because it's not even good dramatic irony: it just stems from characters being idiots and shit friends to each other (see: the entire bit of Silver and the DC in issue 63 and 64.) Sure, Lanolin can't know Duo is Mimic! But 1. We as audience sure do because we are constantly beaten over the head with it, making her be a bitch all the time extremely frustrating because we KNOW she is wrong, and 2. She SHOULD, because the only reason she hasn't noticed yet is because the plot demands the DC to be betrayed again no matter how OOC everyone must become to make that so.
Also, Whisper saw Duo kick Silver and he clearly told her Duo's face changed (of course not to Tangle and Lanolin too though), so why is she hanging out with him now?? Even if Duo's lifethreatening four feet fall didn't show he was Mimic, does she doubt herself so much that she thought she imagined the kick too or something?? Girl just pull off his glove and check his hands, you know the puckers on there are Mimic's clear tell. Or even his brown eyes, Duo's color, or the fact he looks 80% like your dead friend.
As I said in the past, Lanolin was a terrible choice for this sort of plot. You know those cartoon episodes where the antagonist pulled pranks, and then the protagonists got blamed in their place, and it's all haha funny hijinks? This is the same thing, which is already not a very engaging plot, because the characters we care about are getting punished for no fault of their own. To make things worse, we don't know Lanolin! She has just appeared in her new #girlboss version, and right off the bat, she's antagonizing characters we have spent years knowing and getting attached to, both the comic OCs and canon characters.
Why would I want to side with her, or see her POV? She is wrong, she is not entertainingly wrong, and her behavior is not only nasty, but even unfair in-universe: she has brushed off both Silver and Whisper without giving them a single chance of explaining themselves, especially bad in the former's case because it was a case of "he says, he says", but she immediately jumps to berate Silver and treat him like an idiot instead of doing the leader thing and try to listen to both sides. And as for Whisper, yes she was stupid to not bring proof with her, but the moment the name Mimic slipped out of her mouth, Lanolin should have at least questioned her more and tried to understand why she was suspecting Duo, instead of immediately being like "WHY ARE YOU HARASSING MY POOR LIL KITTEN 🥺". fuck that "she cares about everyone and it shows", she's only biased towards Duo, which would be unfair even if he wasn't the villain in disguise.
Forget Duo, I don't even know how Whisper can hang around Lanolin by #67 without secretly seething for this whole accident. I really, really don't like how she orders Whisper to "control herself" after she says that she suspects Duo is actually the guy who traumatized her, especially after she learns that she was betrayed and has good reasons to not trust easily. Where's all that compassion now? Brings all sorts of unfortunate implications about how Lanolin sees Whisper. (also "Silver is one thing" sounds really demeaning too)
Yes, it makes sense for the kind of character she is meant to be, the no-nonsense rule stickler. I'm allowed to think she's an ass and to say I find her thoroughly unenjoyable.
But yeah, Whisper simply letting all go makes her look very weak and insecure. "welp, guess Lanolin was right, and I was dumb! Oh well, my trauma makes me unstable! No hard feelings bestie!" yeah no it's not how it works. It doesn't help that in her next appearance, Sonic also walks all over her resentment towards Surge and guilt trips her into accepting the girl who beat her up and stole her Wisp friends - this poor woman cannot catch a break, everyone treats her like shit.
