I try to refrain from saying things like 'WOW [NOTE X] SMELLS LIKE [NOTE X]' in my reviews because if you aren't familiar with [NOTE X] the comparison is meaningless.

I want perfume - from buying to sampling to reviewing - to feel accessible to everyone. I especially want perfume to feel accessible to those who might not be very experienced but have had their interest piqued.

But sometimes when a personal favorite (or nemesis) makes an entrance it's like getting hit by a very specific 2x4 and all your brain can do is confirm that you've just been whacked by a very specific 2x4.

Had John disconnected him? He knew John’s sense of humor wasn’t the lightest, especially after Newcastle drove them all a bit insane, but that felt too far even for him. He pulled himself back and let his mental connection to the digital world expand outward, probing the rest of the machine for the connection. He knew he was in the right system, so as long as he looked thoroughly he’d definitely fi—

Everything flashed a surge of blinding white and then was replaced by pure darkness. He thought he screamed, but he couldn’t hear his own voice. Couldn’t even feel his own thoughts. Trapped in one single instant that stretched for indeterminable eons. Then, eventually (or was it immediately?), awareness began to trickle back.

He was still in the computer, though it felt… different, somehow. His thoughts still weren’t entirely in order. The first possible hints towards his location he found were the sound voices trickling through from the outside world. Voices he didn’t recognize. Young voices.

“I’m happy to help, Tuck, but I’m not really sure what you expect me to do here. You’re way better than me at this computer stuff than me.”

“By all means, feel free to keep complimenting me, but this has been frying my brain, man. I got this thing secondhand, and the system should be quite powerful, but there’s something using up a ton of its processing and I can’t figure out what. I was hoping you could do your ‘enter into the computer’ thing and see if you see anything.”

it’s totally wishful thinking but i really really hope that jack is a Massive Bitch in s16. you could ask this a lot for supernatural but why even bother taking a character who, even in the writers’ eyes, is a sweet silly little guy, and very loudly implying that he’s — A) deeply insecure about his place in his surrogate family and whether or not he’s loved & appreciated for himself or just the convenience of his powers, and B) effectively playing house with them and masking a far more intense personality to maintain that dynamic — and just not let him get out of that mask? not take it any further?

the most we get in s15 is jack switching up from sloppy murder-cannibalism to playing connect 4 with Cas and matching ties with Cas and some spiel about having a teddy bear all right before dropping the bomb on Cas that he’s planning to kill himself and won’t be talked out of it. and various other little things to suggest he’s still overwhelmed with so much guilt that he doesn’t even feel like he belongs at the bunker anymore. like he’s lost the right to be one of them after everything he did.

and his soulless spiral was like, half “I will go fucking insane if I lose the people I care about,” half “I will go fucking insane if I lose my place in their family/if I have to face who I am deep down.” the impulsive temper, the slight ruthlessness, everything he’s ever shown when the chips are down and everything that makes him Pretty Fucking Scary, even to the people who love him. not just Scary, but also everything that makes him a bit more like his father than his mother; everything michael warned him he would turn into.

so, if it turns out he’s possessed or lobotomized or whatever else and he gets any chance to be freed of the god business, i need him to be the nastiest fucker on the planet about everything that’s ever happened to him. need that vindication

Modern au

Manon and Dorian are kinda sorta pretentious af and they made sure their daughter has a name that has its own weight but also they made sure it’s beautiful.

Their daughter’s name and middle name translates to: beautiful gracious queen (her first name is welsh like her mama and Dorian was the one to pick her middle name and he made sure both names worked together both in sound and meaning)

The daughter accidentally learned of her name’s meaning and with her ego it wasn’t a good kind of knowledge.

Because when anyone referred to her as ‘princess’ she’d just roll her eyes (like her mom) and mutter “why call me a princess when I’m a queen”

Anyway baby ate her pride when she started school and was forced to learn how to write her name. Because her name (first) is long. With eight letters there were a lot of tears involved.

Manon negotiated (she actually lost the negotiations because her daughter is small and too pitiful she had to help) again pushover mama so anyway baby would write it only three times and Manon would write the rest.

Dorian was like ‘witchling, you can’t do that’ and he’d sit with his daughter instead because ‘you need to learn how to write your name’ but his daughter argues that his and Manon’s names are short and they don’t understand her plight

Dorian is like, it’s only two letters more than his name, and three letters more than Manon’s so it’s really not that bad.

He lays down on the floor next to the tantruming child. He helps by writing her name twice but she has to do the rest.

Honestly Manon is weak and gives in easily this is why Dorian took over homework because he can handle their child and her dramatics (which she takes after him that’s why he GETS her while Manon just gives in)

Right, so I've been mulling on this one for a little bit now, n I'm not opposed to writing something for you, I'm just not... entirely sure what to write? Because the thing is, myhouse.wad doesn't actually really have anything to do with Doom as a story. Sure, Doom is important in that it's the vessel through which the story is told and one of the connections between the narrator and his dead companion. But as far as Doom itself goes, and the story about a man who was too angry/stupid to die, fighting demons and saving earth, none of that is at all relevant to myhouse.wad and its story. For all intents and purposes, Doomguy isn't actually a character in myhouse.wad. So I'm not really sure how exactly to fit him in there.
