Hey, so I just saw that you have anemia - I have it too (and I get heart palpitations). Do they know why you're anemic? Just asking as I've been told my anemia may be down to having IBS and I would never have linked the two! Also I've found that taking a gentle natural iron supplement (like over here we have this one called Spatone which is iron rich water) helps a lot more than taking the synthetic supplements they usually prescribe, which are less easily absorbed.
Yeah, I actually have lifelong slight anemia because I take blood thinners.. because I have a mechanical mitral valve (one of the doors in my heart where blood goes through has been replaced), so I take the blood thinners to make sure the metal valve doesn’t clot. But thin blood = anemia. You are mostly fine as long as you’re eating regular meals. It’s just borderline for even being anemic, but because I hadn’t been eating properly and was malnourished, and I had a bad cold AND my period, I was more anemic than usual and passed out and had low blood pressure and bradycardia for a bit.
Then, I was taking iron supplements because I was trying to get my iron up, and I slightly damaged the top of my stomach with them (even the gentle ones can do that), so now I have acid reflux, but just the temporary kind, so it’s tricky eating right and not flaring up the heartburn at the sametime. I did badly today, didn’t eat enough. I’m very fatigued and tired now with a headache, but now, I’m pretty clear on the things I need to eat and do. And I’ve got a big trip coming up, so I need to get well before I go.
