the most difficult thing about growing as a person socially, as in getting out of your shell and noticing that you are, is that there will still be times when it doesn’t feel like you’ve grown at all! times when you can’t really connect with anyone around you, times when you fail to enter into an existing conversation, times when you say the wrong thing (or nothing at all when in hindsight you probably should’ve). but that’s also kind of the best thing, because that’s the thing that helps you realize that sometimes, it’s not you or your lack of skills or any shortcoming. sometimes certain environments just aren’t for you and certain people aren’t your people, and that’s okay. that’s human. it’s okay to not feel the progress you have made all the time.

i think it's fascinating how so many people's view of a fix-it for MDZS involves wei wuxian staying loyal to yunmeng jiang and maintaining a position beneath jiang cheng as his right hand man, exactly like wei changze was to jiang fengmian and most likely exactly what the latter intended when he brought wei wuxian into his household to begin with.

it's almost like a majority of fans just utterly missed the point of the story. tell me the class critique and hypocrisy of the wealthy flew completely over your head without telling me.

there's a reason why the book frames it as a good thing for wei wuxian to have left yunmeng jiang and to not be brought back in even after his resurrection.

there's a reason why wei wuxian parallels his father, both eloping with the love of their lives and exiting mainstream cultivation society's sociopolitical affairs to righteously help others and pursue their own happiness.

there's a reason why even if it seems bittersweet, the ending of the novel is still good even for jiang cheng, because jiang cheng finally lets go. he internally accepts wei wuxian separating from him, stops doggedly antagonizing him, and stops thinking of their relationship in terms of debts that wei wuxian hasn't repaid.

I truly appreciate how they didn't try to paint Agatha as the good guy

As the person who was not in control of her actions

As the victim

Agatha has been manipulating and scheming since the moment we first met her in Wandavision

She is a power-hungry ruthless killer

True, she is partially like that because of her first coven

But she chooses to do so again and again

She can be unnecessarily cruel

Agatha revells in the chaos she reaps

But she can also love

She can also be so very empathetic

Even kind in her own twisted way

She bargains with death, her only true match

The one who is as smart as she is, who calls her out and can see through her bullshit

Yet loves her anyway

Really, she loves her because of it

All the beautiful ugly parts of her

She hardly takes her eyes off her when they are together

Rio knows she is being played, yet she lets agatha do so.

She always does. Why else do you think she took Nicholas while Agatha was sleeping?

Because if Agatha had pleaded with her, she would not have been able to say no

Agatha is down but not out

She always has an escape route

She will find her way back to life and she will continue to be a self serving asshole

She twisted her own child's song into a way to grab more power after years of using him a bait

Her journey is far from over. I really want to see where she goes next and who she will become

watched usopp's little arc with defeating sugar and wow it took A LOT for him to turn back after running away to fight them again. but then later he finds out that she's awake and thinks about how he'll lose his memories of Luffy if he doesn't take care of her again, and IMMEDIATELY makes up his mind to shoot her from SO FAR AWAY?

My thoughts on Eddie in 3x01 go like this:

Eddie has always been too many things: a son, a brother, a husband, a widower, a grandson, a friend, an army medic, a firefighter, a father. Mexican and man and a child of immigrants and all the things that means. Eddie has always struggled under the weight of the many roles he’s expected fulfill—never not been four things at once—defined by so many dynamics and responsibilities, so many tides and currents pushing and pulling and rushing ahead, he can’t stop to look at them too long, can’t bear to do anything except hold on tight enough he might not drown beneath it all.

And this is where he fails to understand Buck. Because Eddie cannot imagine what it means to spend your whole life desperate to find any role that might be willing to have you, any eyes that might be willing to see you long enough to define who you are. And what it would mean to lose that so fast and so painfully—the one space that finally gave you definition, locking you out. How you burn yourself up in its absence, reaching out, hungry for it, until everything inside you turns to ash, until the smoke finally clears and nothing is left of you.

So Eddie tells Buck to suck it up ‘cause his life isn’t over, and he can’t understand how much, to Buck, it feels like it is.

@keferon OKAY BUT LISTEN YEAH I would loved if it was just fun ehehehe and sassy flirting with the demon no one sees pfffht, literally summoned a demon just to flirt with, and I guess it could have been going for a long time, just little strips with their funny adventures and then plot can go to the fact that he wants to give him a body and Shockwave would agree or that they just stay the way they are and just hang out like this together (Alo I remember that you wanted to put Ratchet (I keep writing Ratched instead of Ratchet buuuh) and Drift in it as another demon and their summoner thing whghweghgwe but I like how you made two separate stories for them that happen at the same time, okay I am actually PRETTY MUCH invested in this story, I like a lot how it goes and gets tangled and how mixes up with idw ideas and other stuff a lot)

BUT NOW that you changed it that way, you made a few more things that reader might be interested a lot in, like that promise he made and you mentioning that he will regret it, how their relationship progressively develops, plus the fact that Blurr was a frivolous slob gifted with dark magic AND how the tables turn upside dow and he get consequences for what he did in the most unpredictable way for him and how he surely changes in his behaviour, getting more and more concerned about his promise and maybe truly loving someone for the first time in his life and wanting to change something. And then figuring out that that same demon actually was a person before, someone he knew, someone respectable, kind, shiny, absolut sun of a person, who died (I am still on my knees waiting to know how exactly he died...) miserably to the point that he absolutely can't stand his life as a demon and NOT EVEN being able to kill himself!!! And Blurr was a pupil in his school, he saw him, he gifted him an ability to make his magic work for him, gave the freedom to live among everyone to all who was poisoned with this dark magic. OH WAITA HGSDHAG the thing that beastformers can't walk among transformers and the fact that dark spellers also could not, and how these events happen at a close times, OKAY so dark spellers got their kind of freedom thanks to Senator Shockwave (OH MY GOD what if Orion can see Shockwave and will recognise him right away COUGH) BUT I am wondering if beastformers will get some kind of an official declaration or some kind of school to be educated in and I wonder if Deadlock/Drift (I think after leaving he will change his name from the last episode...) will volunteer to be a teacher t be something more, or he will just end up with Ratchet wandering around the world, or maybe there will be a whole damn revolution where all monoformers and beastformers leaded by Drift go against the system, and maybe these events happen at the same time as a Senator Shockwave fighting for the rights of gifted... Okay I'm getting carried a little bit ahsghag excuse me... OH I GOT carried away A LOT I wanted to get back to the point that Blurr, now figuring out the past of Shocwave, dealing with all the events, dealing with what he has done and find a way to free them, at the same time STILL having adventures and fun since I'm sure he can be a good mood lifter to moody Shockwave and even see him in a really good mood since he is... well, not just a demon made of hatred but the wonderful kind of person in his previous life... okay so after Tales of the Jedi we're getting Tales of the Empire and on a complete non-squitur, in TBB episode 3x10 Hemlock says the other operatives aren't ready yet, which means there're more clone assassins in the making my bet is still on clone x (or the current assassin clone or whatever you call him) being Tech, because him being Cody just wouldn't be the same, it wouldn't be as emotionally devastating for Omega and the Bad Batch as the clone being Tech would be and I saw a theory that maybe Cody is one of the other operatives whose brainwashing just isn't done yet instead so hear me out, hear me out after Tales of the Empire, we could get Tales of the Clones, right? and in Tales of the Clones we could get the story of what happened to Cody, that maybe Cody tried to escape the Empire in TBB 2x03, but he was caught and sent to Hemlock's sick assassin clone program, but the badass he is he's resisting the brainwashing and he maybe escapes??? MAYBE WE COULD GET THAT STORY OR SOMETHING??? WHERE HE ENDS UP ON TATOOINE LIKE HE WAS SUPPOSED TO IN THE OG KENOBI SHOW SCRIPT???? I'D BE SO UP FOR IT OKAY???

So I’ve been (very slowly) chipping away at this Gricko oneshot that’s sitting in my drafts, and it seems it’s gonna be the longest OUAW oneshot yet bc it’s literally just. Gricko meddling in his friends love lives. While also sprinkling in some animal knowledge bc yeah (like, this oneshot is making me do my research on animal mating habits)

Anyway, that is to say that I imagine Gricko would sense that Frosty is being a bit…off, and would obviously pay closer attention to his best friend to see if anything is wrong with him.

And clearly nothing is wrong with Frosty, necessarily, and I’d say that Frost is very clearly having a crush on a certain bugbear (bc, I mean…this is me we’re talking about), but this is also very clearly Frost’s first ever crush and he doesn’t know what to do about it. And I imagine Gricko would just sidle up to Frosty, a big stupid grin on his face, and would just start the conversation with something like “when were ya gonna tell me?”

And of course Frost would question what Gricko is talking about, and Gricko would still not make any sense until he eventually asks Frost about him and Torbek, to which Frost will just pause a moment before quietly muttering “…shit”

Idk is this something? I just love the idea of Gricko being overly perceptive, especially in regards to his friends love lives, and he would absolutely meddle in them because his friends deserve to be happy, dammit. I know I made a similar post like this a while ago, specifically mentioning Kremy and Coalecroux, but I want to point out that this wouldn’t JUST apply to Kremy. Oh no, Frost and Torbek ain’t immune to Gricko’s meddling. Even Hootsie isn’t.
