NIKA X LUNALA READER

Let me tell you off the two gods who fought for people for freedom and fell in love. Once upon time, people were used to be slave.

Severs orders, to their oppressive master. There was no hope for them, but one day, a mythical warrior came and freed all slave people.

His name is nika. Nika was a Sun God, he bring everyone to joy with his smile and his drum. Nika was made of rubber. He can stretch his whole body. And nika has a nickname joyboy, the slave called him. Cause how joy he brings.

Nika name was spread rumors about him. And slaves were hoping that nika would come and free them too.

When nika freed the slave.

One of the slave told Nike that he looked like someone, a woman who is a moon goddess. nika didn't know there was a moon goddess before.

So nika looked for the moon god, the slave told him where to find her. The moon goddess always dances at night when the moon shines bright.

Then he looked for the moon goddess cause he was ingenious about the moon goddess. And nika finally found her.

A beautiful woman, name lunala. Lunala is a gorgeous woman. She is a moon god, her hair is filled with tiny stars, pruple and flowy hair.

Lunala can transform any kind of animal with their ability, and her favorite animal look like a bat. But it is much bigger.

It has a skeletal, legless bat. It has a short snout, dark pink eyes with white centers, and a deep blue area on its upper head that shows a constantly changing starscape.

Nika fell in love with lunala. He wouldn't stop thinking of her, nika decided to greet her.

As he walks to lunala, she is still dancing. Lunala noticed nika and stopped dancing, "who are you?" Lunala, ask.

"I'm nika! Sun of God and mythical warrior!" He said, lunala chulked, making nika blush. "I'm lunala, the moon goddess, a mythical shapeshift," she said.

"My people told me about you, and I was thinking if you would like to help them," said nika. Lunala thought about it and axcept nika effort.

Now, nika and lunala are unstoppable, set free all slave. Defeat all bad people.

Then, nika confuses lunala, his feelings, and lunala axcept.

And this is what lunala said to nika.

"Whether death or life, you're the one I longed by my side"

"And that the story?" Roger asks, Sofia (p.s. asl x black mother) nodded her head. "Woah! So that what your grandmother told you?!" oden, ask.

"Yeah, we always keep asking her to give us a different story, but our grandma keeps repeating the same story," said enma (Sofia old sister).

"Sofia, you good at telling story ," said Shanks as he tried to flirt Sofia, Jack smack Shanks head. (Sofia older brother).

"Ow!" Shanks screamed, "Say I'm very surprised that you kids know about nika and lunala," said neptune.

FEW DAY PAST

Roger finally found the one piece. he and his crew laugh, and tears come out. "Joyboy... Lunala... I wish I'd been born in the same era as you two!" Roger yelled.

"HAHA! How could you two leave this stupendous treasure! It's such a funny story... Hey, everyone..." Roger said.

His crew looks at a confused look on their faces. "Why don't we name this last island where no man could reach for 800 years something like... Laugh Tale!" Roger yelled.

"Hey, you... listen to me for a minute..." said who's who, jinbe listen carefully. "When I was behind bars, I heard this story. As I received severe punishment, I was mockingly told to pray for salt. To the sun and moon gods, lunala and nika! They're legendary warriors of the ancient times who slaves believed..." he said

"...would free them one day. I don't know if they really exited. A warrior who would make you laugh and put you out of your misery. Imprisonment felt like forever. So I hung on to this strange legend."

"Thinking 'I don't care who it is. Just help me!'" Said who's who, "what does that have to do with me?" Jinbe, ask. "I heard that sun pirates you once led had members... who used to be slaves!" Said who's who.

Jinbe looks at him with anger face.

My current favourite crackship that I just created myself is Hiyori×Alive!Kuina. Just because if she can't get Zoro she'll just go for his cousin instead.

Hiyori is easily one of my favorite characters and I love her SO much and people won't stop reducing her to her ship with Zoro. I think she doesn't need anybody and if she did want somebody it should be a girl. Because I say so. And Kuina is just,,, She would've been such a great character. Can't stop thinking about this fanart I found because it has changed my life for the better. She's in Wano to train to become the world's greatest swordsman and I'm just thinking about what if Kuina had been there to help them out too and she had been the one to save Hiyori all those times instead of Zoro.... Thinking thoughts. Like, of course, Hiyori and Zoro also have their moments because I do actually like their dynamic and I think she admires him a lot!! But you know. Kuina saves Hiyori a couple of times (when Zoro was going to do it, actually, she just appears like a second before him and ruins his moment) and Hiyori just melts. Because who wouldn't? Kuina would be so tall and strong and a sizeable woman, and I would personally die if she helped me save my country. Besides, I think they'd understand each other because both are women that have been reduced to that role specifically instead of their ambitions and their power and they're so much more. Hiyori was helpless when she had to see her country turn into this mess and she couldn't so anything else but to pretend,, Like-- If somebody knows how being a woman in the world works is Hiyori, and Kuina would understand. She'd admire Kuina so much for her abilities and her personality and ambitions!!!!!! And Kuina would absolutely love Hiyori's kindness and strength for being able to put up with so much!!!

Not to mention that Kuina would be taller than her,,, And bigger,,, And Hiyori would have to look up,, And this is now just the aesthetic part but God they'd look so different. That's Hiyori's guard dog. Wouldn't it be funny if Kuina were all serious and teasing with Zoro and like "*raises eyebrow* seriously?" type of masc girl, and the second Hiyori is around she turns into the happiest person in the world and extremely protective of her? Zoro judges her but he can't say shit because he's literally the same with Luffy (and Kuina teases him even more because she always has the upper hand and it makes him so angry). They're both down bad. Hiyori is just so nice to her and keeps saying she trusts her to become the world's greatest swordsman but even if she doesn't, she'll always have her heart and a place to stay in Wano. And I am weak, guys, I am so weak for lesbians.

Aghhh this is SO good. Somebody make them kiss. I- This is great. Oda could just say "ah yes Kuina actually escaped her hometown on her own and faked her death and traveled to Wano" and I'd believe him wholeheartedly because I want her back. I also want Hiyori back. I miss Wano sometimes a lot.

Also, Kuina sees Zoro with Enma and she goes:

Kuina: Oh cool, you got Hiyori's sword. Good luck with that one. Zoro: Do you want it or what? I am not giving it to you. You'll have to fight for it. How old were you when you started writing fic?

oh man.... it was the summer before 9th grade, so i think i must have been 13 or 14? that's the first time i sat down expressly thinking "i want to write a story about naruto where there's a GIRL with COOL POWERS and-", but then when i think back, i'm sure i probably scribbled down other similar "stories" about [insert media]. fanart For Sure came before fanfic for me.

3. What was your first fandom?

for the purposes of this Q i'm going to define one's first fandom as something i felt, like, Identifiably Fandomy feelings and experiences about (not just "omgggg i love pokemon lugia is my fave"), and that was, unsurprisingly, naruto.

HOWEVER, nart came to me on the heels of FMA, which i also definitely had fandomy feelings and experiences about, but nart was when i really dove into the whole fucking nine yards of early-aughts Fandom: AMVs, googling "cute sasuke pictures", printing shit out to put in my binder, baby's first yaoi (legitimately got a Talking To from a conservative christian friend about this, it was so goddamn funny), those animatics that people posted on deviantart, drawing soooo much fanart, and reading and writing Fan Fiction™ while actually calling it that.

10. Do you read your own fics for fun?

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!! dude i reread my stuff ALL the time. especially when i'm at the point where i can't find anything that scratches the itch. i wrote that shit for me, of course i'm gonna reread it a million times.

ok i lied i guess since we talked about it yesterday i will try to make this an active WIP so:

“If you chop my hands off,” Sanji threatens in Zoro’s low voice, jabbing an accusatory finger towards his own body, “I won’t just kill you. I’ll make you wish you bled out on the Baratie’s deck.”

16. What are your favorite characters to write?

i'm gonna take this as asking for a type of character rather than a list of names, so: i looooove writing POV characters who have every reason to misinterpret/misread what's happening, which is to say, i love an Outside POV character who doesn't catch on because why the fuck would they catch on. i've loved writing every outside POV fic i've written because i get to find ways for the POV character to reasonably not catch onto whatever fuckoffery is actually going on, albeit in different ways: hiyori doesn't like sanji because she's got no reason to believe The Bit is just a bit (girl i get it); the POV chars in the last two ficlets in this bleach collection genuinely have no frame of reference for what the fuck kind of creatures ichigo or grimmjow could be; if someone had told aunor flat-out "yeah shin malphur is also zyre orsa who is also dredgen vale and he's in some kind of situationship with the drifter" she would have laughed and fried them to cinders.

i could do this shit all day! it's all about finding a logical path for the POV char to figure out what is actually going on, at least to some degree, and then letting them deal with the fallout. (sorry, aunor.)

18. Is there some headcanon you've included in more than one fic?

yes, totally! i think Reishi Theory and adjacent bits and bobs is the most salient example; i think everything i've written for bleach has included some facet of our headcanons regarding how it all works. in general, my headcanons and interpretations tend to be pretty stable across fics, so if i've written more than one work for a fandom, there's probably some connecting thread.

22. Pick out a random line from a fic you're really proud of

from the blood of the covenant:

Sanji thinks: this is a ritual like everything Zeff has ever taught me. The purpose is in its existence. There's nothing unpragmatic about that.

this whole bit might be my favorite part of the fic, but this line(...s) in particular i like a lot; there's a lot of things in a lot of different disciplines that boil down to just being ritual, and that's a purpose of its own.

23. What's the most personal fic you've ever written?

ah....... i think in a roundabout way that goes to steam, fill, shape, share in ways that are pretty clear from the first paragraph. i project plenty throughout fics - really, what else is writing for - but this one was definitely personal.

I don't really have a favorite environment I guess? I mean, I definitely have preferences for where I live (I hate humidity) but for time periods, I do think Regency era is an interesting one (I am a lover of Pride and Prejudice), and I really love Edwardian-era fashion.

also, i have the list of your top five, but if you want to, please tell me ten (or more!) other characters you really like.

Aside from my top five characters, I love the rest of the Straw Hat crew of course, and I also really love Ace and Sabo, and Luffy's bonds with them. I think Smoker and Tashigi are also cool characters, and I think Kid and Bonney are fun characters as well. Oh! I love the samurai and Hiyori as well, I have a figurine of Hiyori on my desk :D

and finally, apart from what you put on your list, if you have any platonic relationships you love with any number of characters, throw those at me as well.

I adore ASL's brotherly bonds. I also wish Tashigi and Zoro had a bit more of a rivalry that was on equal footing (and just more respect for Tashigi in general tbh), I feel they had potential for a really interesting dynamic that just isn't followed through very well. I also am really interested in Roger and Rayleigh's friendship, and also Roger's relationship with Rouge.

I love Luffy, he's my favorite character, no other shonen protag is doing it like him, what an icon. I met one of my closest friends through One Piece and for that I'm forever grateful for the effect this silly man has had on my life.

Also for the longest time I had no real interest in shipping Luffy, and that's still mostly true, but while I've always adored his bond with Zoro I've come to like it in a romantic lense as well as platonic. It's the loyalty, the dedication, Zoro met this rubber freak for like 5 minutes and was like "fuck it I'm with this guy now I guess" and then like days later he's like "I'm ride or die for this man now". And I am obsessed with them in the live action especially, oh my god. They make me sick (positive). Also Nami/Vivi. God. I love women. What else is there to say.

Sou Hiyori. or rather Shin Tsukimi.

Explanation: For whatever reason, I just really love 2-sided, morally complex/grey characters. He happens to have a really 2-sided nature of Shin Tsukimi and "Sou Hiyori" which I love. But even before then, I didn't really... care for the beginning of YTTD. I just tried to trust "Sou" despite what the beginning implies.

💖Which character in yttd do you think you would be friends with?

...I can't imagine I'd be friends with someone. I also happen to be...really, really understanding of even "evil" people and would ABSOLUTELY go out of my way to talk to Sou Hiyori in a death game. So I guess Sou Hiyori.

I'd most certainly be friends with Sou but I probably would trust Sara the most.

🪓If you could design a first trial, what would you do?

Kind of stuck on this one because I dont know how to design traps but why not?

So, it'll be a single-person trial. So no partner. The objective? err... had a vision of mirrors surrounding a glass cup thinking of this so... "Arrange the mirrors to reflect the same projection of [any cylindrical/sphere object]" What happens if you mess it up? Lucky you! You get stabbed by a bunch of glass shards!

Kind of sucks but it works.

...Most likely not. Though, I guess it depends. I don't really know how to puzzles efficiently and if it was like a pair trial that I have to do with someone I'd most likely either leave my partner behind or let myself get killed. So I'll have to HOPE for luck to bail me out.

The first anime I watched were Pokémon, Ponyo, & Totoro when I was a very small child. The first anime I watched where I actively knew it was anime, was Higurashi when I was ten. I never finished it, though (still on my to-do list!)

3- "What fandoms are you involved in right now?"

Tokyo Revengers, My Hero Academia, Hunter x Hunter, Chainsaw Man, AtLA, Disney, musical theatre, etc. I have a lot of fandoms I was more active in in the past as well, and I frequently slip into relapses for them.

4- "Who is your favorite character from (anime) and why?"

Hmm tough question. I think MP100's Mob is probably one of my favorite fictional characters, period. His journey has always resonated with me, and I get emotional whenever I reread MP100.

My more self-indulgent pick is MHA's Dabi, because what's sexier than a tragedy? /j

5- "Who is your least favorite character from (anime) and why?"

I could probably put a villain character here, but their heinous acts don't always necessarily make me dislike them as characters-- so I'll base this less on them being bad people but good characters, and more on just my own pettiness lol.

- I don't like Hiyori Tono from Free! Dive to the Future. He had his own issues, sure, but his toxic codependency and the way he treated Ikuya, placing him on a pedestal, separating him socially from others, just generally being a douchebag to the other cast members, really put me off of him. I know he gets told off for it, but he'll always leave a bad taste in my mouth.

- Hot take, but I also don't like Takumi Usui from Maid-sama. Granted, I have only seen the anime so I don't know if he's better in the manga, but he always made me very uncomfortable, so I probably won't read to find out.

- Last pick makes me sad to say because she had potential, but Memenpu from Sakugan really was just written so insufferably. I actually talked about her in a presentation once, so I'll just copy and paste a screenshot of the slide below.

2. Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?*

so there's the obvious one (rnhru) but i also vaguely feel this way about rei/gisa. HEAR ME OUT. it's not that it's bad. i understand where it comes from, i like totally get it. i just never felt as much of the chemistry there as others did, mostly bc i think nagisa doesn't get quite enough character moments. i have loved what the fandom has done with the two of them, tho!!

Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?*

in general for SURE, but i got RLY into free super late in the game, so the ship wars were over. i did have someone who was like. the backseat driver when i first got into the show, and i wasn't so good at standing up for myself or my opinions back then, so for a long time i was a huge hiyo/iku hater. this has since changed, bc i deeply adore how fucked up they both are LMAO.

Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?*

^^^ as stated above, hiyo/iku!!!!!!!!!! catherine's love of hiyori and all the meta analysis of hiyo/iku as parallels to mako/haru were some of my favorites, and really helped me move past the bias my ex-friend had instilled in me about the pairing.

Most disliked character(s)? Why?

i'm gonna be so real, i don't rly like ai as a character; i found him vaguely annoying and he doesn't really amount to anything or add to the plot other than being the wet paper bag rin steps on a bunch in the beginning of the show... his parallel with nagisa isn't very strong, and i just like. idk. that's about as far as my dislike goes for characters in this series LOL

Unpopular opinion about your fandom?

makoto deserves to bottom you fools!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like sure he could top!!!!! i'm sure everybody assumes he does!!!!!! but //grabs you by the shoulders// the way he whines haru's name in canon tells me everything i need to know!!!!!!!! (this is a silly opinion but listen, it's a desert out here for the girlies who don't like dom top makoto or worse, SUB bottom haru (worst. hated take. disgusting. haru can bottom but he is not submissive))

What is the one thing you hate most about your fandom?

honestly, these days it's pretty great!! the echoes of the ship wars and the obsession with who's ship is more canon annoy me tho. canon has no bearing on whether the ship is good. shipping is about extrapolation. i don't really care which ship is "more" canon. it's not a competition, and people getting obsessed with it are obnoxious. like what u like!! it's ur right!!

so here are some your turn to die opinions and if you agree with them i'd love to be your homie! i promise i have lots of headcanons and goofy jokes and badly constructed essays.

my top favorite characters of all time are reko, nao, kai, and jou! honorable mentions are kanna, gin, q-taro, sara, and shin!

i'm honestly not a massive fan of any of the floor masters or dolls in 3-1 purely because i feel like i didn't get the chance to know them well. it's a real shame too because i think they're super cool! just not quite fleshed out enough to my liking. i'm hoping we at least learn more about the floor masters in the finale because they have the potential to be so interesting!

i don't really like shipping in your turn to die, i kinda think it's unnecessary (though i don't hate on people who do ship!), but if i had to pick a ship i like, it would be reko x nao! i think it could be cute, and they have a lot of sweet moments in the game!

my favorite part of your turn to die to play is hands down 2-1. those attractions are so much fun! and all the mystery is insane, the part with the fake mishima ai was INSANEE. i also really liked 3-1 because of the part where you use the lantern to uncover people's memories about hiyori and asu-naro. it was so cool to get a glimpse of people's pasts!

to be honest i'm kind of a noob so i can never get it straight which route is logic is which is emotion (even though it's probably really obvious), but my favorite route is the one where kanna and reko live! i watched a playthrough of a route where shin lives but i didn't really like it as much, even though it was interesting to see that side of it!

this isn't really an opinion, just a confession, but i'm really dumb and really bad at the logic stuff so i lowkey thought it was impossible to save reko for the first like three years of playing the game...i figured it out though!

i've never once used a walkthrough to figure out your turn to die, i've always just used my own brain to figure things out. maybe...uh...maybe in hindsight, that's why it took me so long to figure out how to save reko...

the only character in the entire franchise that i genuinely dislike is keiji. i just think he's kinda creepy and off-putting (though that might be in part due to translation errors)? also i'm lesbian so i don't really find him hot i think he just looks like a muscly piece of popcorn.

in terms of my opinion on who the "mastermind" is i actually have literally no idea? the only idea i kind of have is that it's either sara or keiji because they're the only two who we don't get to see how they signed the asu-naro vow. but i also don't really get how it would be either of them because keiji was a victim of hiyori's tricks too, and sara just seems totally clueless. it makes my brain hurt to think about so i kinda choose not to.

i think the "gin is the mastermind" theory is mind-bogglingly stupid. sorry LMAO-

i think the theory of jou being the son of mr. policeman is actually super cool! i don't really know why it exists but i've seen people talking about it and i think that would be a cool connection.

i've read a few things about the referendum theory and i think it's a cool theory! it kinda make sense, though there are a few holes that i can't logic my way through quite yet. it seems very plausible though, and it would make for an interesting plot!

i don't think shin is overrated at all. he's a super interesting character and i love how he contributes to the story, and all the twists about him are so unique and exciting! i do hate when people water him down to like a soggy little man who's super weak and innocent, though. the coolest thing about him is his fortitude!

in case it wasn't obvious, i am on team "q-taro is the goat", especially after 3-1b. even after accidentally getting the ending where q-taro abandoned all of us i was like "okay but that was lowkey cunty af of him..." i've always been on homie q-taro's side and i also think it's hilarious that he's like supposed to be an american stereotype.

What are some One Piece characters that you love but you feel like you don't talk about enough?

I love SO MANY that I don't even know where to start, honestly!

Despite what my username says, I really really wished I talked more about Perona!! I feel like I don't do it enough. She is such an interesting and fun character to explore and I love her with every part of my body-- Law, also! One of my favorite characters and I barely mention him here. Helmeppo is precious to me, too, but I'll be lucky if I ever find somebody who wants to deal with me talking for hours about Helmeppo/Koby/Hibari. Ummm. Ulti!!!!!! I ADORE Ulti. One of my favorite Wano characters and she barely does anything but she's incredible to me. Hiyori too because she has one of my favorite stories. Hancock!!! She's my dearest. I also think I don't talk enough about Robin as a character but I've said countless times before that she's such an important character to me that it just feels weird sometimes to share that feeling publicly--

Also list of characters I fucking adore and I never talk about and I doubt people know I love them to death: Paulie, Camie, Pedro, Momo, Kin'emon, Baby 5, Stussy, and a lot more because OP has too many characters and I have a big heart for all of them.

Happy living soushin fangame VN

Over the last couple of days I've been utterly obsessed with a VN of one of my favorite ships! Soushin from Kimigashine aka YTTD, it was also my first time playing a machine translated VN which while it had flaws it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected!

Basically the game is a sort of time based VN where you play as Sou Hiyori (aka Midori if you're going by the default nickname, to lessen confusion I'll just call him Midori since it's usually what I refer to him as when I'm discussing the VN with my friends) living with Shin Tsukimi (also known as Sou Hiyori, this is definitely not a VN that's good to jump into if you're unfamiliar with the source material!)

Depending on the hour of the real time clock you might get different events that lead to some super adorable CGs (the game has a hint system in the album, some of them were a bit confusing due to the machine translation but I was able to 100% the game) most of the time you'll access stuff by cooking for Shin or talking to him but you can also get some from doing stuff like playing rock, paper, scissors with him such as CGs and tokens (which don't factor in till way later in the VN) as well as one of the events only occurring on the weekend, so either be ready to change around the internal clock on your phone/computer or just wait it out!

Petting Shin will also sometimes lead to events and also got me and my friends who were watching me live play super stuck for a while lol, basically the petting system is a bit finicky with the mouse and you're going to want Shin to have a sort of '...' reaction next to his head to properly do it you can usually achieve this by double clicking and then holding the mouse and stroking his head, I think this is a common thing in these types of games but I've only seen it in some weird touhou Tenshi flash game I saw as a kid.

Anyway, the VN does an alright job at simulating the idea of playing as a yandere character who could snap at any point like Midori it's nothing too deep but a lot of the spooky CGs created a slight horror atmosphere, after a certain event Shin winds up chained up in a basement and it gets to the intense parts! But also has so many cute CGs of Shin (fufufu especially the aphrodisiac one from the cooking minigame)

I definitely recommend it to any fan of Soushin like myself! But try to play the source material first if you're just interested in the BL aspect.

Revy (Black Lagoon)

A dual wielding gunslinger from Roanapur. She is badass and deeply unhinged. A seriously traumatized woman with solid character flaws and a weirdly pseudo romantic relationship with the guy she kidnapped for a ransom and is now desperately trying to protect without realizing that she can't save his innocence, because he was never innocent and pure.

Fredrica Sawyer (Black Lagoon)

A cleaner from Roanapur, uses a chainsaw as her primary weapon, cannot talk due to a severe injury to her larynx and uses a voice synthesizer. An adorable and creepy goth girl who may or may not have in universe ties to the Texas Chainsaw massacre. Which yes, implies that black lagoon is set in the same universe as the TCM movies.

Dazai Osamu (BSD)

Love the depiction of depression and mental health problems with the guy. Love how he is constantly present everywhere and is seen through everyone else's perspective and yet we know so little about him. He is a dork and a brat and so annoying. He is usually aloof and distant but deep down has the capacity to be tender and kind that is only seen in the rare moments of vulnerability. But he is so hopeful and yet completely convinced he deserves nothing.

Chuuya Nakahara (BSD)

He's such a tragic character like his life is one compromise after another as he gets pushed further and further into a bad situation but he will not let that stop him from making the best out of his situation. His compassion and empathy for even those who hurt him is so powerful but his brutality and intelligence is another aspect that makes him stand out against the other characters of his kind. And then you have his incredible loyalty where he will cross all boundaries to protect those he considers his people. Gorgeous characterization honestly.

Yato (Noragami)

Another extremely tragic character and one who is trying so hard to change his fate despite everything. My guy does NOT catch a single break through the centuries he has been alive and he is still so hopeful. Not to mention letting Bishamon despise him for so long just to protect Kazuma, a guy he barely knew at the time. UGH. And his whole thing for Hiyori and his affection for Yukine. Kill me!

Yukine (Noragami)

This was the first time I cried honestly. His backstory had me curled up in my bed unable to eat for an entire day. And his growth from an annoying unlikeable brat to one of the most lovable characters is crazy. Also no, I will never not cry over Yukine calling Yato 'dad'.

Jeremy Pascal (Tales from the Gas Station)

I didnt realize how much I liked him till I thought he died. In that regard I'm like Jack I guess, neither of us realised how much we cared for this adorkable himbo ex cultist. The fact that he is genuinely heartbroken that his suicide cult abandoned him and committed without him is so...oddly endearing and just the energy he adds is charming. He's also such a great friend to Jack, man better start appreciating him more.

Sorey (Tales of Zestiria)

This is my son. And my sun. He is the most precious, sweetest boy to me. Aside from being ridiculously gay about Mikleo, the guy is what you'd think is a typical hero figure in such a setting. Pure, celibate, sweet and even tempered etc. But he is snarky as hell, constantly teases others, is NOT oblivious contrary to popular opinion. He is also irritable. I also love that he is an archaeology nerd.

Irma Lair (W.I.T.C.H)

I dont remember too much about her but I always really liked her. Enough that she is still amongst my absolute favorites. It probably helps that she was made wlw in the tv series and has some shippy moments with Cornelia in particular.

Balalaika (Black lagoon)

Listen, she is an ex military woman, who went MIA with her entire squad of loyal soldiers and now runs the fucking mafia in Roanapur. Woman is gorgeous and has acid burn scars all down her face and body. And she is terrifying. She will break necks with a smile and values loyalty and efficiency above all else. But she is such a deeply damaged woman who deserved better. But see, the people in Roanapur are there cause this is their last stand before they end up dead.

Log #1 "Okay So- I got myself into this mess" Loading....

Some friends gave me their thoughts on the series after I asked around and their answers made me think.

AreOri is an alternate timeline where Fubuki Atsuya lives, the alien attack didn't happen, Gouenji didn't have to run, Raimon got divorced and went separate ways, and teams have sponsors now because capitalism. (im joking on some parts but still)

Now, we're starting where everything is dead and done and Raimon already went to other schools and made a name for themselves, and we're following a new cast who have to deal with the aftermath of everything. And the new villain, children perfectionism/ half-joke. I haven't finished Ares yet, but I can feel like that's a part of the theme especially with the whole schtick the Balance of Ares program's got going on. But that's a different story for a different time.

What I'm gonna be talking about now is the characters.

Of course that characters we loved and knew from the OG series are gonna be different here. (im still confused about someoka ngl) The development they went through in the OG is gonna be pretty different here or probably non-existent. A huge part of Fubuki's arc was caused by his family's death and it all avalanched into mental instability. (if my memory's right, it's been a while since i've revisted the OG series) Kazemaru also probably didn't leave Raimon in the AreOri timeline, so guess what, he just teams up with the antagonist in his character arc in every timeline. It actually reveals an interesting about his character, tho (i HAVE to watch the entirety of OG, im feeling it)

But the thing is, we also have ANOTHER cast to develop along with explaining some of the changes with the first cast. I feel like there's going to be a lot of flashback moments with the old cast. And to make up for the lack of development of some characters, I'm gonna involve the new cast into their development so the spotlight gets shared equally if it comes to it. Cause the new cast needs some love AND development. But I still have to finish the series and study them more.

So, my thoughts so far on Ares:

Rushed. Jesus H. Christ, twas rushed. It gives the feeling of tuning in while missing out on parts of the story, atleast for me. The first episode made me feel like I was missing the first half of it. I wished they let us see what the kids' life on the island was like. You know to SHOW US WHY WE SHOULD CARE FOR IT. Shoving a bunch of kids crying for their parents on screen aint gonna cut it for everyone, my good men. Show us what their life was like, what they were gonna miss. At least like a part so the flashbacks in their training felt a bit foreshadowed and connects to what we saw to the first ep to make it a little more memorable. (i am losing brain power fast, so im not sure if this makes any good sense)

The thing with Ares, Akane, and Nosaka got me curious. The Inakuni has potential. Haizuki's funny. I kind of like his development. Also I love Endou's civilian fit when he made his first appearance. Idk i just fell in love with it. (give him back his melanin pls) Kozoumaru's interesting, especially his connection with Gouenji (dude helps out a kid in every timeline). Hiura's supposed to be like a detective, right? Let him be more detective-y. Goujin's funny. He has a little charm to him. Mansaku and Michinari are interesting, especially their family dynamics. I love Iwato and Hattori's relationship. They're cute. Who is Okuiri Hiro? I love Norika's personality (it's a personal favorite thing). I think her backstory and home life are interesting. Hiyori's cute and I like him. He's silly. Coach Zhao is Coach Zhao. (this man is a war criminal) I like the new managers. She's silly and Anna's nice.

I'm gonna save Asuto (Bug Boy) for another post.
