— ılı.lıllılı.ıllı. girl you loud by chris brown, tyga
their reaction to you being too loud while having sex.
ft. paige. juju. caitlin. aubrey. kk. nika.
PAIGE.B — The rhythm of her hips is relentless, the strap hitting just the right spot, and you can’t hold back. “Fuck, yes, oh my god, it’s so good!” you cry out, your voice echoing off the walls, louder than you realize. She slows for a moment, a mischievous grin spreading across her face as she leans down, her lips brushing your ear.
“Well, damn, babe” she chuckles, her voice low and dripping with amusement. “You’re putting on a whole concert for the neighbors, huh?” Her hands grip your thighs, pulling you closer as she picks up the pace again, clearly enjoying your lack of restraint. “Gotta say, i love how you sound, but maybe keep it down before we get a noise complaint.” She winks, her teasing only making you want to be louder and she knows it.
JUJU. W — She’s got you pinned against the bed, the strap moving with a steady, deliberate rhythm that’s driving you wild, your moans spill out, desperate and unrestrained. “Oh, fuck, please, don’t stop!” you practically shout, your voice bouncing in the open space, she pauses mid thrust, her dark eyes narrowing as she arches a brow.
“Hey,” she says, her voice calm but laced with authority “you’re gonna wake the whole damn city at this rate.” Her hand slides up to cup your jaw, tilting your face to meet her gaze. “Keep those pretty sounds for me, okay? Just me.” Her tone is firm but warm, and when you nod, biting your lip, she smirks and resumes, slower now, making you fight to stay quiet under her commanding stare.
CAITLIN. C — Your moans are loud, spilling out despite the intimate, quiet setting “Oh, God, baby, it’s too good, yes!” you cry, your voice carrying through the thin walls, she chuckles softly her eyes glinting with a mix of tenderness and smug confidence as she leans down, her lips brushing your forehead. “Shh, baby, you’re gonna wake everyone” she murmurs, her voice warm but laced with a cocky edge.
“I know I’m good, don’t have to announce it to everyone.” Her hand slides up your thigh, grounding you as she keeps her rhythm steady, her touch gentle but her smirk all self assured charm. “Keep those pretty sounds just for me, yeah?” Her gentle tone wraps around you like a hug, but the way she arches a brow says she knows exactly how much power she holds, and she’s loving every second of it.
AUBREY. G — The strap is hitting deep, and you’re losing it, your voice rising with every thrust. “Yes, yes, fuck, you feel so good!” you moan, loud enough to make you wonder if the walls are thin, she laughs, a low, smug sound, and leans back slightly, one hand resting casually on your hip as if she’s got all the time in the world.
“Oh, you’re loud tonight, aren’t you?” she drawls, her voice thick with confidence. “Bet the people next door are taking notes.” Her grin is all cocky charm as she shifts her angle, making you gasp even louder. “Go on, keep screaming for me, but don’t be surprised if we get a knock on the door.” Her playful arrogance only pushes you closer to the edge, and she’s loving every second of it.
KAMOREA. K — Every thrust pulls a loud, desperate moan from you, your voice cutting through the ambient noise. “Oh, fuck, yes, it’s so good, baby!” you cry, loud enough to turn heads if anyone were closer, she pauses, her lips curling into a devilish grin, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “Well, girl, listen to yourself, putting on a full on show for the city” she teases, her voice low and dripping with playful mockery.
She leans in, her breath hot against your ear as she whispers “You gonna scream loud enough for everyone to hear or what?” Her fingers trail teasingly down your side, and she gives a single, sharp thrust just to make you gasp again, laughing when you do. “Come on, babe, keep it down—unless you want me to really give you something to yell about.” She winks, clearly loving how flustered her teasing makes you, and resumes her rhythm, daring you to stay quiet while she pushes every button you have.
NIKA. M — She’s got you pressed against the kitchen counter, the strap driving into you with a steady, forceful pace that’s unraveling you completely, your moans are loud, unrestrained, spilling out as you grip the edge of the counter. “Fuck, yes, oh my god, don’t stop!” you shout, your voice echoing off the polished surfaces, she stops abruptly, her jaw tightening as she fixes you with a frustrated glare.
“Are you serious right now?” she snaps, her voice sharp with annoyance. “You’re gonna bring the neighbors banging on the door with that noise.” Her hand grips your hip, holding you still as she leans in, her tone low and irritated. “I’m trying to focus here, and you’re making it real hard to keep this discreet, tone it down, or I’m stopping for good.” The edge in her voice is real, but the way her eyes linger on your flushed face betrays a flicker of heat she’s annoyed, sure, but part of her is still hooked on you. She resumes, slower now, watching you closely to make sure you obey, her patience clearly on a short leash.

Sleepy Girl - p.b.

‣ paige bueckers x gf reader!
‣ wc: 2k of smut 😛
‣‣ synopsis: waking up in the morning horny and ur girlfriend is right there tbh (ending is kinda rushed and the fic is not yet edited so please bear with me)
‣‣‣ a/n: hey guys... i know i completely ghosted this app for a good while but thank you for all the support even while i was MIA. this idea came to me at 11pm on vacation and i figured i should grind it out and make a return. i have a lot of drafts and ideas i came up with but no idea if i'll be able to write them all. in the meantime enjoy and happy holidays!
The warm sunlight spilling in to your bedroom and directly onto your face from the small gap in your curtains seemed to have it out against you.
It was one of the incredibly rare weekends of the season, where your girlfriend, Paige, didn’t have morning practice, lifting, or any PT sessions for residual pain after coming back home late from a basketball game (UConn won, obviously) and the two of you planned to make the most of it.
Having been in a relationship for almost a year now, the two of you had gotten to know each other pretty well over time. From working with the basketball team as a photographer to sharing a class with Paige, to running into each other literally everywhere every single day, metaphorically and physically, the universe seemed to have an intricate plan to bring the two of you together. And with such insistent force, who were the two of you to rebel?
The past ten months dating Paige had been a small roller coaster, the days spent together blissfully were obviously accompanied by the occasional argument of time management or messy rooms or even slight jealousy, but it was nothing the two of you couldn’t work through.
And of course, it was all accompanied by the mind blowing sex you couldn’t stop having. Bent over the kitchen counter, in the shower, in the living room, standing up, from the back, you name it.
But, there was one thing you and Paige had discussed exploring, but never gotten the chance to pursue, and it seemed like this morning was the perfect chance to test it out.
Depending on who woke up first, the two of you often liked to wake the other up with gentle kisses, roaming hands, and sweet nothings. But your synced ovulation cycles brought on a new possibility: morning head.
Although the concept of fucking your girlfriend while she was asleep seemed… well, odd to say the least, the two of you had discussed consent extremely thoroughly, and you weren’t going to sit (or lay in this instance) here and pretend that the sight of Paige laying in your bed right now wasn’t actively turning you on.
She had come to your off campus apartment immediately after her game at XL center and crashed pretty fast, only stopping to shower change into an old, oversized yet cropped off the shoulder sweatshirt of yours and a pair of boxers she left in your drawers.
Currently, she was conveniently splayed out on her back, her left arm stretched above her head raised the hem of your sweatshirt upwards, exposing the curve of her chest and the slightest glimpse of her pink nipples, which were already slightly peaked from the cold air radiating from your fan.
It didn’t take long for you to make up your mind, softly crawling over to rest in between her legs as you leaned over her sleeping figure, using your left hand to gently lift the fabric over her perky tits, exposing her creamy skin to you. You slowly peppered kisses on her boobs, not wanting to create too much stimulation that would wake her before you got to the more exciting part. Although, you weren’t sure you would have to worry about that. Paige could sleep through a hurricane if she was tired enough.
You nipped and sucked at her chest, making sure to pay special attention to her nipples before beginning your descent down her toned abs, bringing your hands to rub at her thighs simultaneously.
Paige groaned softly in her sleep, unconsciously spreading her legs out wider as your fingers danced over the waistband of her boxers.
Deciding that there was no reason to be a tease, especially with the growing ache in between your own legs, you hooked your fingers in her boxers and pulled them downwards, being extremely careful when taking them off her body fully and throwing them off into a corner of your room.
You shift lower, aligning your face with Paige’s already wet cunt as you grip her thighs and blow into her folds lightly, gently arousing her.
You start softly, small kisses and hickeys leading inwards before you finally allow your tongue to lick a long stripe from her entrance up to the sensitive bundle of nerves that made her breath slightly hitch.
Even in her sleep, Paige’s body was actively reacting to the growing pleasure as you circled her clit with your tongue and hummed into her, sending shockwaves running through her body, legs spreading, mouth dropping open with low moans, and back arching.
And yet, she was still asleep. You had no interest in waking her up forcefully, it would defeat the whole purpose of morning head. So, you dutifully detached your lips from her clit, opting to replace it with your thumb as you run your fingers through the slick she had accumulated before inserting your middle finger into her, curling it upwards in the way you knew she loved, which seemed to do the trick.
Her eyes began to flutter open the moment you added in your ring finger, mouth dropping with a groan as her right hand reaches out to cup the side of your face.
"Good morning," you rasp out, your breath hot against her sensitive cunt as you smirk at the already fucked out expression on her face.
"Fuck baby, God I didn’t think it would be this good when we talked about-”
Her sleepy whines were cut off with another loud moan as you reattached your lips to her clit, pressing into her g-spot with your fingers while simultaneously sucking her clit, small laughs vibrating through her core as you watched her body shudder at your actions. Her hand immediately moved up to your scalp, placing a firm grip in your head as she secured your spot deep between her legs, anchoring you in place.
"Aw shit ma, fuck you're so good at that, right there just like that, such a good fucking girl for me, don't stop mama you're gonna make me cum," her breathless rambles were endless as she used her left hand to play with her already exposed nipples.
The added stimulation pushed her closer to the edge, and it wasn't long before her muscular thighs began to shake around your head, closing around the sides of your face as she began to grind her hips into your mouth, chasing every second of her orgasm as her mouth hung open with cries.
She eventually let up after you finished licking her clean, even making a show of pulling your fingers out of her and sucking her juices off of them. Her gaze darkens as she pulls you up and over her body once again, capturing your lips in a deep kiss.
She nips at your bottom lip before pulling away, feigning annoyance in her tone. "As much as I loved the little stunt you pulled just now, shit pissed me off too. Brought this up in the first place cause I wanted to surprise you."
"Actin' like it's that big of a deal P, you can just do it a different morning," you teased, hand running up and down her side.
"Mm, whatever. All I care about right now is gettin' you right ma," she mumbles against your lips, reconnecting your lips as she slips her tongue into your mouth, grabbing your ass and rolling your hips into her at the same time.
"Nuh uh, it's your day to pillow princess. Lemme spoil you a little bit. You're still tired and sore from your game yeah? Besides, I have a better idea," you insisted, rising up and straddling her waist.
You shoved your sweater off her body before Paige's large hands pulled your grey tank top up and over your head, tossing it somewhere either of you couldn't be bothered to check. Her hand pressed into your mid back, forcing you to arch over her, conveniently placing your perky tits right over her mouth.
Her teeth scraped against your stiff peaks as her other hand, which had quickly returned to its place resting on your ass, began rocking your hips back and forth over her abs, drawing out deep sighs of pleasure from the multiple sources of friction and stimulation.
"Fuck Paige," you whined out, "why you gotta make it so hard for me to take care of you sometimes," you half-heartedly reprimanded, pinching her nipple roughly as you tore yourself away from her, shimmying your basically non-existent thong off as you resettled yourself in between her legs.
"Crawl up to the headboard," you demanded, raising your eyebrow at her inquisitive expression.
"Please," you added in with a soft pout, satisfied when she complied with your request. You eagerly followed her body, stationing your hands on her shoulders as you draped your right leg over her left, maneuvering her right in order to rest over your own left before gently lowering yourself down, hissing the moment your cores met.
You rolled your hips forward tentatively, moving your left hand down to Paige's right thigh while you sank forward, circling your other arm around her neck as you moaned against her lips.
The kiss was a needy, open mouthed mess of saliva and moans as you continued to roll your hips into Paige's with the help of her guiding hands, shocks of pleasure licking your spine every time your clits aligned.
As you approached closer to your orgasm, your head tipped back, mouth hung open with desperate, borderline pornographic whines constantly spilling out, impairing your ability to kiss Paige back. Though, she would never complain and simply kept her mouth busy by sucking hickeys along your neck and chest, whispering filthy words of encouragement into your skin.
"My girl's such a slut for me, huh? Riding me so good, pussy so wet she's dripping all over me, 's basically crying for me ma. You like that?"
Her gravely voice added to the fuzzy feeling that had taken over your brain, driven only by the tight coil threatening to snap any second in your belly. From the feeling of yours and Paige's warm slickness coating your entire cunt, to the deep throbbing you clit was experiencing.
You moved your left hand from Paige's thigh up to the headboard, using it to grind down harder against Paige's center, and the pressure on your clits had moans ringing out from both of you.
"God, Paige. So close baby, fuck I'm so close," you whined near incoherently, eyes screwed shut from the way your entire body was on fire, on the edge of immense pleasure.
She moved her mouth to the sweet spot behind your ear, nipping at the skin as she her fingers deftly began tweaking your nipples. "Cum for baby, give it to me. Please need it so bad."
You cry out as a freight train of an orgasm hits you, Paige's words and hands sending you over the edge, and the sight of you coming undone, not to mention the sounds you were letting out, left Paige no choice but to follow your lead.
Your body shuddered against hers, the pleasure slowly washing over you, leaving you breathless and extremely sensitive. You untangled your legs from Paige, collapsing on the bed next to her and pulling her down with you.
You kissed her sweetly, intimately, a far cry from the sex you were just having.
"I love you so much you know that?" You muttered against Paige's lips, cracking your eyes open to see the lazy smile set on her face.
"I love you too, even though I'm pissed you stole my surprise," she whispered defiantly.
"What you don't think those two orgasms made up for it? We can go for round two if you really insist," you smirked, knowing that there was no way your body could handle another orgasm immediately.
Before she can even answer, your stomach growled loudly, inciting loud laughter from both of you.
"How about we take care of that first yeah? We can go for round two in the shower after breakfast," she responded slyly, pulling you up and out of bed with her to get dressed and have breakfast together. To you, nothing in the world could beat mornings like these with Paige.

Nika Mühl X Reader
Birthday Wishes

It starts the night before her birthday.
She’s curled up against you in bed, cheek pressed to your shoulder, her breathing soft and even. The apartment is quiet…just the occasional car outside and the distant hum of the fridge. She’s fast asleep, her body heavy with the kind of exhaustion that only comes after hours of rehab and pushing herself too hard, like she always does. You run your fingers gently through her hair, careful not to wake her, even as your own heart beats a little faster.
Because tomorrow is her birthday. And you’ve been planning this for weeks.
You glance over at the small pile of decorations hidden in the hallway closet, the wrapped gift tucked beneath the bed, and the note you spent too long rewriting until the words finally sounded like your heart. You’ve been together for years…long enough to know she doesn’t care about flashy things, but still, you want to make her feel loved. Known. Celebrated.
But this year, you’re giving her more than handwritten notes or her favorite breakfast.
You’re giving her home….in the form of the one person she misses most, Hana.
The next morning starts slow.
You wake her up with soft kisses and sleepy smiles, whispering a gentle, “Happy birthday, ljubavi,” as she burrows into your side and hums. There’s no rush. Just warmth.
You bring her breakfast in bed..heart shaped pancakes and coffee the way she likes it. You both sit cross legged in bed, eating and laughing over dumb TikToks, and for a while, it’s perfect. Simple. Quiet.
But your heart’s racing because the real surprise is only a few hours away.
You suggest getting out for a bit…”a drive,” you say vaguely. “Something cute. Just trust me.”
Nika narrows her eyes in mock suspicion. “You’re being weird.”
“I’m always weird.”
She snorts. “Okay, extra weird.”
You just smile, grab her hand, and tell her to get dressed.
She doesn’t realize where you’re going until you’re almost there.
Her brow furrows as your car turns into the short term lot of the airport.
“Wait… why are we at the airport?” she asks, sitting up straighter in her seat. “Are we flying somewhere? Y/N…what’s going on?”
You try to keep a straight face. “Maybe I just wanted to go plane watching.”
“Plane watching?”
You shrug. “Birthday vibes?”
She stares at you. “You’re so bad at lying.”
You grin and grab her hand. “Come on. Just trust me.”
You guide her through the terminal, her pace slowing the closer you get to the arrival gate. She keeps glancing at you, confused, trying to piece things together. You give nothing away. Your fingers squeeze hers gently as you stop just outside the gate.
“Okay,” she says slowly. “What are we doing here?”
And then she hears it… her name, in a voice that makes her entire body go still.
“Nika!”
She whirls around.
There, walking toward her with a suitcase in one hand and a crooked smile on her face, is Hana.
Time stops.
Nika doesn’t move for a second, like her brain needs time to catch up with her heart. Her breath catches, eyes wide and glistening. And then she runs.
You step aside just in time as she crashes into her sister, arms wrapping around her so tightly you’re amazed they don’t both fall over. It’s all tangled limbs and half laughed sobs, her fingers fisting the back of Hana’s sweatshirt like if she lets go, she’ll vanish again.
You stand back and watch, tears welling in your own eyes.
Eventually, Nika turns to you, cheeks streaked, smile trembling.
“You… you did this?”
You nod, blinking back tears. “Happy birthday, baby.”
Her lip wobbles and she steps forward, cupping your face in her hands like she has no idea how to thank you and no words to even try. So she doesn’t. She just kisses you, long and soft, in the middle of the airport like it’s only the two of you.
When she pulls back, she presses her forehead to yours.
“This is the best gift anyone’s ever given me.”
You whisper, “You missed her. I saw it. And if I can make your heart feel full again..even for a weekend… I’ll do it a thousand times.”
She exhales shakily, eyes flicking between you and Hana.
“I love you,” she says. “So much.”
“I know,” you smile. “Now let’s get your sister home.”
That night, with takeout containers scattered on the kitchen counter and laughter echoing from the living room as Hana shows you embarrassing childhood photos of Nika, you feel it settle in your chest…this glowing, steady kind of love. The kind that doesn’t need fireworks or fancy dinners. Just three hearts beating under one roof.
Later, when Hana’s gone to bed and you’re curled up with Nika on the couch, she kisses your temple and whispers, “You made me feel everything I didn’t even know I was missing.”
You lace your fingers through hers, smile against her skin, and whisper, “Happy birthday, my Nika.”
And she holds you like she never wants to let go.
Because this? This is everything.

Stolen kisses
A shorter story as I try to get back into the writing mood. Let me know what you guys think! If you're more of a Paige girl, you can find her version here. You can find part 2 here. Constructive criticism is always welcome :D Find my masterlist here :)
Pairing(s): Nika Mühl x female!reader Word count: 3k+ Warnings: Timeline doesn’t make sense/underage drinking?, make out sessions, hickeys, no smut but suggestive scenes Summary: You break your "no dating teammates" rule for a certain Croatian. Stolen moments between Nika and you just make life that much sweeter. ------------
When you first joined UConn, you had one rule. Never date your teammates. That rule quickly went out the window, however, when you met Nika Mühl.
You two immediately clicked when you first met. You shared the same humor, loved teasing each other, weren’t afraid to speak your mind, and had each other’s backs. You’d only known each other for a few weeks when you two kissed for the first time. It was on the empty UConn court when everyone had already left. Nika had challenged you to a 1v1 to determine, once and for all, who the better player is.
While you loved seeing her smile and tease you about being better, you weren’t about to let her win. You played your heart out that day. It paid off too, you won by 2 points. Once the game was over, the both of you were panting as you walked up to her. You gave her a smirk as you took her hand and shook it. “Not bad, Mühl, just not good enough,” you said with a wink. She looked up at you as she rolled her eyes, but you could see her eyes twinkle in amusement. You were standing close enough to feel the heat radiate off of each other. You were glad no one else was around to feel the tension between you two.
That’s when your resolve snapped, and you kissed her. You’d grabbed her hips and pulled her in, kissing her hard and full of emotion. She’d gasped against your mouth before bringing her hands to your face, kissing you back just as hard. As you pulled away to breathe, you’d stayed close enough that your forehead was touching hers.
That was the first of many kisses. Secret, stolen kisses behind closed doors.
The team was great, and you both trusted them with your life, but you wanted to keep your relationship just between the two of you for a little longer. Now, it was a few months later, and you were still sneaking around, stealing quiet moments with the brunette, away from the team. You were ready to tell them, knowing they’d be happy for you, but Nika was still hesitant. You were okay with that, though. You only cared about her, it didn’t matter who knew. You only wished the girls could know so you two could have more time together. Not wanting to push the Croatian girl, you didn’t bring it up a lot, but you still tried every so often.
In just one more week, Nika and you will have been dating for 6 months. And honestly, these have been the best months of your life.
You were currently on your way to the nearest café, having agreed to meet your team there for breakfast. You haven’t even made it outside of your dorm building when you see Nika, Paige, and Azzi walking in the hallway. You speed up a bit, trying not to make a sound as you get closer. When they’re about to turn a corner, you grip Nika’s wrist and pull her back, your other hand over her mouth to keep her quiet. She gasps against your hand before seeing it's you. Her wide eyes now squinting as she slaps you softly for scaring her. You send her a wink before leaning around the corner to see Paige and Azzi still walking, oblivious to the fact that Nika was no longer with them.
You push her against the wall and take your hand off her mouth. You regret it almost immediately. “You’re such an asshole! You scared the shit out of me!” She says in a hushed voice as she slaps your arm again. You chuckle as you try to avoid her hand. “I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” You laugh, holding your hands up in surrender. She just rolls her eyes at you before asking, “What’s up?”
“I just wanted a moment alone with you… Needed to tell you something,” you hum as you grip her hips and push her against the wall a little harder as you lean in closer. Her breathing stutters for a moment. “Hmm, and what’s that?” She says, looking up at you, her pupils wide. “This,” you mutter before kissing her passionately. You pull back a little, “And this.” You kiss her again, one hand letting go of her hips as you bring it to her cheek. “And also this,” you pant slightly, bringing your lips together one last time as you kiss her deep and lovingly.
When you pull back, her pupils are so wide, you can barely still see her irises. Her cheeks are a beautiful rose, while her lips are a bright red from kissing you. You smile softly at her, still not believing that the prettiest girl in the world is yours. She finally breaks eye contact, looking down as she shakes her head a bit to get rid of the haze she’s in.
“We should get going, P and Azz are gonna send out a search party for me,” she mumbles. “Y’know, we could just tell them… Tell the whole team about us… Y’know they would be happy for us, and we wouldn’t have to sneak around so much,” you mumble, your thumb tracing circles on her hip. “We can’t. I… I’m not ready yet,” Nika says as her eyebrows furrow and her eyes become sad.
Your chest becomes a little heavier. You’re not sure if it’s from the fact that Nika doesn’t want to tell the team or if it’s because she looks so upset. You shake your head softly, sending her a tiny smile. “It’s okay, we don’t have to. We’ll wait until you’re ready, there’s no rush,” you whisper. You give her one last kiss on the corner of her mouth before you let her go.
“C’mon then,” you grin, trying to cheer her up as you pull her off of the wall and sling an arm around her shoulders. She lets you keep your arm there until you reach the lobby of the building. Azzi and Paige are already there waiting for her. “Where the hell did you go?” Paige asks the Croatian as she daps you up. “Bumped into Y/N, so we started walking together, but she had to tie her shoelace,” the brunette replies, lying with ease. Her cheeks become a little flushed again at the memory, but Paige and Azzi don’t notice, already walking towards the exit. You just send her a flirty wink and a grin before following your teammates.
Once you reach the café and greet everyone, you sit down and order some breakfast. You’re seated between KK and Azzi, Nika sitting right in front of you. You send her a smirk, chuckling as she rolls her eyes. When your food and drink arrive, you enjoy your meal as you laugh with the team. “We should go out tonight!” Paige exclaims loudly. “Practices start again tomorrow, and you wanna go and get drunk?” Azzi says, raising an eyebrow at the blonde. “Exactly! Our last free day! C’monnnn, you know you wanna,” Paige replies, sending puppy eyes at the whole team.
Everyone looks at each other hesitantly, trying to decide if it’s a good idea. “C’mon Y/N, back me up!” The star player begs, her eyes wide as she pouts slightly. You knew this wouldn’t be a good idea. Practice was going to be rough even without being hungover, so the right thing to do was to say no. But let’s be real, there was no way you were going to pass up the opportunity to see your girl all pretty and dressed up. Nika also was a flirty drunk, so you knew you were going to have fun.
A smirk forms on your face as you look at Paige. “Why the hell not?” You say. Your team starts nodding their heads in agreement, some of them mumbling about being screwed. Paige raises her arms as she cheers, only quieting down when getting a slap to the back of the head from Nika. She huffs as she crosses her arms and frowns dramatically, making everyone laugh. “Are you sure you’re old enough to go to a bar, you big baby?” Azzi teases as the blonde’s mouth drops open in offense. Nika slaps her hand to her mouth as she snorts from laughter. You look at her lovingly before starting a conversation with KK, not wanting anyone to catch your staring.
Once breakfast is over, everyone splits up to go do their own thing. Some girls invite you over to play Fortnite, but you decline. If you’re going out tonight, you should probably finish some of the schoolwork you had been shoving aside. You wave everyone goodbye, sending Nika one last wink before you leave. You walk with a pep in your step, excited about going out and seeing your girl all dolled up.
The rest of the day goes by pretty fast, and before you know it, it’s time to get ready. You hop in the shower after sending Nika a flirty invitation to join you, laughing as she sends you smirk faces back. Once you’re done, you quickly dry your hair before walking over to your closet. You pick out your favorite outfit, the one you know drives your girlfriend crazy, and put on your nicest perfume. You finish your look with a few rings and a necklace, giving yourself a once-over in the mirror. You grab your phone, keys, and wallet as you walk over to the door, texting the group chat to ask who were going to be the designated drivers and who’d be driving with whom.
To your dismay, Nika won’t be in the same car as you, so you won’t get to see her until you’re at the bar. You walk towards the dorm where you knew your group was meeting up, sending your girl a quick text to let her know you were leaving soon and would meet her there. She doesn’t reply immediately, letting you know she’s probably still getting ready. You’re the last to arrive to your group, so you all leave once you get there.
Reaching the bar, you find a table to sit at as you wait for the others. You’re laughing at KK doing a dramatic reenactment of something that happened in class when you hear the other girls greet each other. You look over, and for a moment your heart stops. There she is. Nika.
She’s wearing a black dress that fits her just right. Her hair is wavy, while her makeup somehow makes her look even more attractive. A dainty necklace is glistening on her chest, catching the dim bar light.
“Are you even listening?” KK whines in your ear before following your gaze. Thankfully, she gets distracted by the other girls arriving and doesn’t realize the heart eyes you were making at the Croatian. You swallow harshly as you catch her eye. She sends you a smug smirk, seeing the way she’s affecting you.
You get up to greet everyone before walking over to her and leaning closer. You mutter, “You look beautiful, baby,” in her ear, grinning as a shiver goes through her body.
You step back, announcing you’re going to get everyone some shots. You give Nika’s arm a soft squeeze as you walk past her, talking to Azzi as she follows you to help you out. You’re glad you’re not the designated driver today, knowing it would be pure torture to have to stay sober the whole evening and not be able to touch Nika.
It’s not long before most girls are tipsy, laughing at the stupidest things and blabbing about God knows what. You’re sipping your drink and laughing at Paige’s weird dream when you feel someone tug your arm. You look up from your seat to see a flushed Nika in front of you. “Come dance with me,” she demands. You get up, giving the blonde next to you a sheepish grin and a shrug.
The Croatian leads you to the middle of the dance floor before she starts dancing with you. Her moves are sensual but still innocent enough to make it look like two good friends just having fun. You grab onto her, pulling her closer between the sea of bodies. You twist her around, breathing into her neck as she leans her back against you. She smells like her signature perfume mixed with the drinks she’s had tonight and a bit of sweat from all the dancing. You dance for a few songs until you can’t take it anymore. You grab her hand and pull her towards the bathroom. Once you’re in there and have made sure you’re alone, you push her against the wall and kiss her hungrily.
“So pretty for me,” you pant against her mouth. She responds by grabbing your face and pulling you into another breathtaking kiss. She leans back a little, trying to catch her breath as you start trailing kisses down her neck. You know you two had agreed to not leave marks, but you couldn’t help it. Not when she looked like an actual goddess and was eyeing you with those beautiful wide eyes. You leave a few red marks across her skin before you get interrupted by knocking on the door.
You pull back, breathing heavily and giving her a questioning look. “Let’s go home,” she breathes out, desperation clear in her voice. You let her pull you out of the bathroom and out of the bar as you order an Uber to take you back. You can hardly keep your hands off of her, but you know you can’t risk the team seeing you. You text Azzi that you’re leaving, while Nika texts Aaliyah, making sure it’s not too obvious that you’re leaving together.
Once you make it to your dorm, you barely have time to close the door before the brunette is kissing you again. You lead her to your bedroom, not letting her get farther than a few inches. You don’t go much further than making out that night, knowing you both have had quite a few drinks, and don’t want to do anything while intoxicated. You don’t mind, though. Having her here in your arms as she dozes off, slightly snoring, is more than enough.
The next day, you wake up to your head pounding. You stay in bed a few extra minutes, enjoying the brunette’s soft breathing against your chest, before you get up and get ready for the day. Once you feel more presentable, you take some painkillers with a glass of water. You grab some extra pills and water for Nika, placing them on her nightstand as you go to make breakfast.
15 minutes later, you’re almost done with the food. Hearing the soft patter of footsteps behind you, you turn around and smile softly. The brunette’s hair is a mess, she has a bit of drool dried in the corner of her mouth, and she has panda eyes from her leftover makeup. Yet she still manages to look gorgeous and make your heart skip a beat.
You hold your arms open as she falls into your hug. You kiss her forehead, muttering a good morning. You wish you could wake up like this every day. The love of your life tightly in your arms as you prepare to face the rest of the day. Once she pulls back, you rub your thumb gently against her mouth, wiping away the drool before giving her a soft kiss. You enjoy breakfast together before she goes to get ready, and you both split up to meet again at practice.
When you reach the locker room, the whole team is already there. Some girls are holding their heads and frowning in regret, while others are grinning widely and teasing the others. You’re glad your headache is gone as Paige and KK sing loudly, trying to annoy the other girls as much as possible. You make eye contact with Nika across the room as you send her a playful wink. Her face becomes a soft pink color as she smiles back.
Everything is normal when you start changing into your basketball uniform until you hear KK gasp loudly. You’re in the middle of pulling on your shirt when you hear Paige yell, “What’s that!” When you finally get your shirt on, you see KK pointing at Nika as both she and Paige stare at the Croatian with wide eyes. You try to hide your smile as you see the purple marks littered across the other girl’s neck.
“OOOHH, SOMEONE GOT LAIDDDDD!” KK cheers. Nika becomes a bright red as all the girls are now looking at her with smirks. “Oh my God, shut up,” she mumbles back as she puts her face in her hands. “C’mon twin, tell us, who was itttt?” Paige grins as she wiggles her eyebrows and shimmies her shoulders. Having realized that her team is going to bug her anyway, Nika sits up straighter, no longer being so embarrassed. “I don’t kiss and tell,” she smirks.
“Boooo,” Paige groans as she throws her head back. You chuckle at her dramatics. You look back at Nika, who’s already eyeing you. Your staring gets interrupted as Paige loudly complains, “This is almost as bad as the time Y/N wouldn’t tell us who gave her those scratches on her back.” You smirk as you send everyone a shrug, not ashamed in the slightest. Out of the corner of your eye, you see Nika look away, her face blazing at the memory.
Your chest feels warm. Sure, you’d love to have everyone know that you managed to have the Nika Mühl go out with you. But in moments like this, you didn’t really care. You loved hearing the team tease your girl, not knowing it was you who she was going out with. Loved the thrill of sneaking her looks without getting caught. So yeah, stolen kisses weren’t so bad when they brought you heaven on earth with the girl you were sure you’d marry some day.

—
Your first day of university was a mess — literally.
It began with you waking up half an hour late for a class on the opposite side of campus. Then, you got lost and wandered into the wrong lecture hall, one packed with fourth year computational analysis students who definitely noticed you didn’t belong. After your humiliating, drastically late entrance to your biology lecture, you realized you left your notebook behind in your haste to leave, and your laptop was dead. By noon, your feet ached, your stomach growled, and you were seriously considering dropping out before the week was over to save whatever dignity you had left.
That’s when it happened — someone rounded the corner too quickly and collided into you. A cold shock spread across your chest as the contents of the cup drenched your once white shirt. The bitter scent of coffee now enveloped you, and the fabric now clung to your skin, sticky and stained.
Today was a mess. Literally.
You staggered back, staring down at your white shirt — now a soft coffee brown, clinging cold against your chest.
“Are you fucking serious right now?” You snapped, heat rising in your face. “Do you even look where you’re going, or do you just—”
“I—I’m sorry,” the girl stammered, her voice gentle and laced with a distinct accent you couldn’t quite place.
You froze with your next words of harsh language caught in your throat.
She stood there holding the empty cup like it had detonated in her hands. Tall, composed, and unexpectedly apologetic. Her eyes were wide, brows knit together in genuine concern and sincerity.
You were still fuming—soaked, freezing, and humiliated—but suddenly, yelling didn’t seem so urgent. Not at a girl who was clearly a foreigner. Not when she looked at you like that, with wide, puppy-like eyes tinged with shame. Not when her apology actually sounded sincere.
You sighed, rubbing your temple. “It’s fine,” you muttered. “It’s not like this day could get any worse anyway. I think I’ve officially checked off every box on the ‘worst first day of college’ list.”
She let out a breath of relief, her shoulders relaxing just enough for you to notice how tense she’d been. “I really didn’t see you,” she said, her accent clearer now—Eastern European, maybe? “I’m an idiot. I wasn’t paying attention.”
You glanced down at your shirt again. Still wet. Still cold. Still embarrassing. But somehow, you weren’t angry anymore. “Join the club,” you said with a small, exhausted laugh. “Late, distracted, mildly ruining people’s lives... I’m president.”
That got a smile out of her—just a small one, but it softened her whole face. Then, without a word, she shrugged off her jacket and draped it over your shoulders. You caught the UConn women’s basketball team logo on the sleeve.
“Here. I hope this helps,” she said, her voice soft and a little uncertain, as if she wasn’t sure how you’d take the gesture. “And, if it’s not too much, let me buy you a coffee to make up for... this.”
You stood there for a moment, surprised by her sudden kindness. The jacket was warm, thick with the smell of fresh fabric and a faint hint of sweat, the kind you might expect from someone who spent a lot of time in the gym. It was too big on you, but that somehow made it feel like she was offering a shield from the mess of your day.
"I’m Nika," she added quickly, her eyes darting nervously. "Please let me make up to you for this.”
You didn’t know it then, standing in iced coffee and wearing a too big UConn jacket, but that mess of a moment was the beginning of everything.
It started with one coffee—just one, because she insisted. Then it turned into two. The coffees became casual hallway greetings, which slowly morphed into late-night walks after study sessions, shared playlists, “friendly” party dates, and post-game hugs that lingered just a second too long. Somehow, without you even noticing, Nika had become your person.
When your dad passed away suddenly on a random Tuesday at the end of February of your sophomore year, Nika was the one who bought your plane ticket back home – no hesitation, no questions asked.
She showed up at your dorm the night before you left, hoodie half-zipped, her hair still damp from the showers after practice. You barely managed to pack—clothes strewn from your dresser to your suitcase, a pile of shoes collecting at the foot of your bed, your eyes red, puffy, and brimming with tears. She did it for you. Folded your clothes, tucked in a charger, reminded you to bring that sweatshirt your dad always complimented.
And when you finally returned—eyes tired, heart heavier than it had ever been—she was waiting outside baggage claim. Hood up, no makeup, holding your favorite energy drink and a croissant from that little French bakery you’d been insistent she try. And beside all of that, the kind of silence only someone who really knows you can offer.
That night, she slept on the floor beside your bed.
You didn’t ask her to. You never had to. Nika always knew when you needed her—sometimes from just a glance.
She stayed up while you cried yourself dry. She emailed your professors when you couldn’t even open your laptop, even went so far as to ask the headmaster directly if you could get more time off from your midterms.
She let you hold her hand during the funeral, her thumb tracing soft, steady circles into your palm—grounding you when you felt like floating away.
Nika didn’t try to fix anything.
She didn’t push you to talk. She didn’t drag you out for a walk, like she usually would.
She just stayed. And somehow, that was enough.
It was late – well past midnight – and the two of you were curled up on the couch in your childhood living room, the glow of the TV flickering softly while some old sappy rom com movie played on mute.
You were mid-ramble, half-laughing, half-sentimental, recounting story after story about your dad like they were your favorite bedtime tales.
“He swore he was the best fisherman this side of the Atlantic,” you said, shaking your head with a grin. “Like, you’d think he was hauling in marlins with his bare hands the way he talked about it.”
Nika smiled, chin propped on her fist, eyes locked on you. “Was he actually any good?”
You snorted. “God, no. The biggest thing he ever caught was, like, a three-kilo bass. And even then, it flopped out of the net before we got a picture. He claimed the fish sabotaged him on purpose.”
Nika chuckled, soft and real, and you couldn’t help but smile wider.
It wasn’t just the sound – it was the way her whole face softened, the crinkle at the corners of her eyes, the small shake of her head like she couldn’t believe you. Her laughter filled the space between you like warm light, like something sacred yet familiar.
She tucked her legs under her on the couch, hoodie sleeves pulled down over her hands, and looked at you like there was nowhere else she’d rather be. The lamp behind her glowed gold against the curve of her cheekbone, catching the faintest shimmer in her eyes – like she was trying not to cry or trying not to say something she wasn’t ready to yet.
You noticed, then, how close you were sitting. How your knees almost touched. How easy it felt, like she’d always belonged here – curled up in your childhood living room, laughing at your dad’s fishing stories like she’d live them too.
And maybe, in a way, she had.
“I think he just liked the quiet,” you said after a pause, voice gentler now. “Being out there, the water, the stillness. I didn’t get it back then, but I do now.”
There was a beat of silence. Not awkward – never awkward with Nika. Just quiet enough to let the memory linger, to allow the both of you to bask in it.
Then she nudged your socked foot with hers. “You talk about him like he’s still here.”
“He kind of is.”
Nika didn’t say anything. She didn’t need to, of course. Instead, she just looked at you like she was memorizing the shape of your smile.
And you thought, not for the first time, but he would’ve loved her.
Your dad would’ve seen the way Nika listened to your ramblings the same way he used to, the way her presence was so steady without being overbearing. He would’ve noticed the softness in her eyes, how she made your grief feel a little less sharp. She’d have fit into the rhythms of your family like she’d always belonged there – because, in some way, she had.
For a second, you closed your eyes, imagining it: your dad’s big, warm laugh, echoing through the house as Nika teased him about his fishing skills with that easy, teasing tone she used with everyone.
He would’ve loved her.
For that one fleeting moment, it felt like home wasn’t just this old couch or the smell of your mom’s cookies in the kitchen. It was this – you and Nika, talking about ghosts and bass and everything in between.
The following weeks slipped into a quiet rhythm, one that felt almost like a secret the two of you shared. You and Nika found yourselves slipping into these comfortable silences together more and more. In between late-night talks about everything and nothing, and those moments of laughter when you made fun of each other’s weirdest habits, something deeper was taking root. It wasn’t obvious, not yet—but it was there, nestled beneath the surface, like the steady pulse of something waiting to bloom.
Like the time Nika showed up at your dorm with a bag full of mismatched socks she'd stolen from the laundry room, daring you to try and make an outfit work out of them. Or when you spent an entire Saturday afternoon teaching her how to bake your dad’s infamous chocolate chip cookies, the ones he swore could cure anything. You ended up with flour all over your kitchen and dough stuck to your hair, but it didn’t matter. You were together, laughing over how none of the cookies had turned out even close to edible.
There were more nights like that—quiet ones, where you both stayed up late just talking, sharing stories about your families, about who you were when you were younger, before college and before any of this. You never had to explain why you did the things you did or why certain memories lingered with you longer than others. She understood—just like she always did.
And for someone who never begged for anything – never even dared to ask twice – Nika always begged you to come watch a game. It became the one exception to her “no begging” rule.
You’d always waved her off with a laugh, claiming basketball just wasn’t your thing. You didn’t understand the rules, the fouls, the constant whistle-blowing, or how she managed to stay so calm under so much pressure. But every now and then, she’d drop another hint – “It’s a home game, you won’t even have to walk far!” Or, “We’re playing a big team tonight… would love to see you there because everyone else will be.” It was subtle, and it always came with that soft, almost shy smile of hers – the one you’d started to recognize as her version of hope.
So, one night, you went. No warning, no heads up. You just showed up.
You found a seat near the middle of the bleachers, heart weirdly anxious, wondering if she’d even notice you in the crowd of white, navy blue, and grey. But she did – of course she did.
The moment she stepped out on the court and caught your eye, you saw it – that flash of surprise, that quiet spark of something deeper flickering in her expression before she masked it behind her unusual focus.
For the first time, you got it. Not the game necessarily – you still weren’t entirely sure what a double dribble was or a travel – but the way people moved for each other on that court. The trust. The rhythm. The fire. The way Nika played was sharp, unrelenting, impossible to look away from. That night, you finally understood what mattered to her. And why it might’ve always been more than just the game.
After the game, you tried to slip out quietly, but it was impossible to miss the way people swarmed toward the edge of the court – phones out, jerseys in hand, calling her name like she was some kind of celebrity.
And apparently, she was.
You always knew Nika had a massive Instagram following—you’d seen the numbers, seen the comments flooding in whenever she posted even the most casual selfie. You’d noticed the way people made googly eyes at her in the hallways, how other students suddenly stood a little taller or flipped their hair when she walked past.
But you never really got it. Not until now.
Not until you saw the crowd waiting for her after the game—eager hands holding out phones and posters, people calling her name like they knew her, like she belonged to them in some way.
It was strange seeing her like that. Not because she didn’t deserve it—she did, and then some—but because to you, she’d always just been Nika. The girl who stole mismatched socks from the laundry room just to make you laugh. The girl who memorized your coffee order by heart and always knew when you needed space and when you didn’t. The girl who once burned every single batch of your dad’s cookie recipe and still swore they tasted fine.
And now here she was—this campus icon with sweat-slicked hair and a grin that could start a riot—signing shoes, jerseys, posters… even someone’s forehead, like it was just another Tuesday.
You watched as she smiled patiently through photo after photo, soaking in the spotlight like she was born for it. This wasn’t the lowkey girl who had spilled coffee on you once or cried laughing when flour exploded in your kitchen. This was Nika Mühl, UConn’s Secretary of Defense. Golden girl. Game-changer. And suddenly, you realized: maybe you’d only ever known one version of her.
When she finally broke away from the crowd and jogged toward you, cheeks flushed and hair stuck to her forehead, she looked more alive than you’d ever seen her. You raised an eyebrow.
“So, you’re some big-time basketball hotshot, huh?” you teased, arms crossed. “That was… kind of impressive. I guess.”
She smirked. “Kind of?”
“I mean,” you shrugged, “I could do all that. With my eyes closed, actually.”
She blinked. “Is that so?”
“Yeah. Give me a ball and five minutes and I’ll outscore you easily. Might even dunk on you, Lebron James style.”
That made her laugh – full, loud, and way too amused. “Alright, alright. You talk a lot for someone who looks like she's never touched a basketball in her life. Let alone see a court.”
You nudged her side. “Take me to court then. Prove me wrong.”
And she did prove you wrong.
Somehow, that night ended with the two of you at an empty outdoor court lit only by flickering floodlights and moonlight. The air was cool and quiet, your laughter echoing as she passed you the ball and watched you completely miss the rim – twice.
“Well,” Nika said, trying and failing to hide her grin, “I see we’ve got a future draft pick on our hands.”
You narrowed your eyes at her. “Okay, rude. That one slipped.”
“That one?” she teased, jogging after the ball as it bounced off into the dark. You’re shooting like the hoop personally offended you.”
“Maybe it did,” you called, breathless with laughter. “Maybe I’m more of a… defensive player.”
“You just airballed a layup.”
“I slipped!”
“Sure,” she said, dribbling lazily back toward you. “Or maybe you’re just intimidated by my greatness.”
You scoffed. “Please. I let you win.”
“You didn’t score once, even when I was just standing there like a statue.”
You stared at her, hand outstretched. “Ball.”
Nika raised an eyebrow, spinning it once on her finger just to be annoying before tossing it your way. “Alright, Steph Curry. Show me what you got.”
You took the ball, squared up, and launched it with every bit of determination you had in you… only for it to hit the backboard with a loud clunk and bounce halfway across the court.
You both froze. Then she cracked up.
You glared at her, trying not to laugh yourself. “I’m warming up.”
“Yeah?” she managed through her giggles. “Need a few more games? A training camp, maybe? A miracle?”
You tried to look offended, but her laughter was contagious. The kind that made your chest ache a little—not from embarrassment, but from something warmer, softer.
When she finally caught her breath, she nudged your shoulder gently. “You’re not good at basketball,” she said, still smiling. “But you’re fun.”
Your heart did that annoying fluttery thing, but you masked it with a roll of your eyes. “Thank you. But I am good at basketball.”
Nika raised a brow. “Sure. Prove it.”
You grinned. “Rematch?”
She stepped back, dribbling the ball between her legs, eyes gleaming. “Loser buys post-game coffee tomorrow morning.”
You smirked. “You’re on.”
It was stupid. It was fun. And somewhere between you chasing the ball and her showing you how to dribble without bouncing it off your foot, you realized something had shifted. Not dramatically, not all at once. But it was there—right under the surface, in the way her hand lingered on your waist when she tried to show you the right form, in the way your eyes caught and held a little too long under the buzz of the lights.
And when you finally flopped onto the court floor, breathless and grinning, she lay down beside you and whispered, “Thanks for coming tonight.”
You turned your head toward her, the stars blurred in your peripheral vision. “Thanks for letting me see your world.”
You didn’t talk about that night again. Not because it was strange or uncomfortable, but because it didn’t need words. Some moments just stayed suspended in memory, like a snapshot only the two of you knew how to look at.
But life moved on – like it always does.
The semester picked up speed. Papers piled up. Practice schedules got tighter, especially with March Madness on the horizon for Nika. Your part-time job at the ice cream shop started demanding more of your weekends. Somewhere between closing shifts and early morning labs, you and Nika started spending less time together. Not on purpose. Not in a way that sparked a fight or falling out. Just enough to notice.
Enough to feel it when the silence between texts stretched a little longer, when a missed FaceTime became a pattern. You’d come over to her dorm to find her asleep on the couch, laptop still playing, practice notes spread across her chest like armor. You’d pull the blanket over her head and wish you could pause the world just long enough to sit beside her again like before.
Then, at some point during your junior year, you noticed Nika becoming increasingly more homesick.
It was subtle at first. A sigh when she scrolled through old photos. A soft smile when her sister’s name popped up on her phone. But you knew Nika. You knew the way her energy shifted, the way her voice carried a little differently when her heart was somewhere else. You tried to bridge the distance with the little things. You brought her pastries from the Croatian bakery an hour away, even if they were never quite right to her. You learned how to say “good morning” in her language. You watched YouTube videos of her hometown, just so you’d have something to talk about when she brought it up. But it never felt like enough.
Then, you picked up extra shifts at the local ice cream shop to cover rent and textbooks and whatever else college kept throwing at you. You were always exhausted, sticky with sugar syrup and smelling like waffle cones. Texts went unanswered. Calls missed. Plans postponed.
Nika noticed.
She never said it outright, but it was there—in the shorter replies, the fading smiles, the way her voice sounded just a little tighter when she’d say, “You’re working again?”
You hated that look on her face—the quiet disappointment. The way it made your stomach knot and your chest ache. But what could you do? You were trying your best. That had to count for something.
And then it was her birthday.
You remembered last year—how she’d dragged you to the beach even though it was freezing, wrapped you both in a single towel, and made you promise to always spend her birthday together, no matter what.
This year, she barely looked at you when you showed up at her dorm.
“Didn’t think you’d come,” she said, not looking up from her phone.
You bit back a sigh. “I know I’ve been distant, but just… come with me.”
She rolled her eyes and stood anyway. “If this is a sad attempt to make up for ignoring me, I swear—”
And then she stepped into the apartment lobby. And froze.
Her mom stood there with her arms wide open, her dad fumbling with a bouquet of tulips, and her little sister waving with both hands, wearing a “Happy Birthday, Nika!!” t-shirt that was definitely your idea.
She turned to you, wide-eyed and speechless for the first time in maybe ever. “You didn’t.”
“I did.”
“You flew them in?”
You nodded. “Used every paycheck. And some student loan money I probably shouldn’t have touched.”
She didn’t say anything at first—just stepped forward into her dad’s arms, burying her face into his shoulder as he hugged her so tightly it looked like he might never let go. Her mom was crying. Her sister was laughing, tugging at the hem of Nika’s sweatshirt.
You stood off to the side, suddenly overwhelmed by how much you missed a hug like that.
Your chest tightened as you watched them sway together, soft words exchanged in Croatian, her dad smoothing her hair back like she was still his little girl. Something about it gutted you. You couldn’t help but think of your dad. How his hugs were always too tight, how he always smelled like sunscreen and coffee, how he’d tease you for crying during animated movies—and how you’d give anything just to feel that once more.
You didn’t realize your eyes were glassy until Nika’s dad turned to you.
“Thank you,” he said, accent thick but warm. “For taking care of our Nika.”
Your throat closed. You managed a smile, but it was shaky.
Because you hadn’t been taking care of Nika.
If anything, she had taken care of you—when you were falling apart, when you couldn’t speak, when the world felt too loud or too quiet. When grief lived in your chest like a second heartbeat. She was the one who knew how to anchor you, to bring you back. She was the one who stayed.
“I try,” you whispered. “But I think she does a better job at that than me.”
He smiled again, like he understood something you hadn’t said out loud.
Later that night, when the cake had been cut and the apartment had quieted into soft music and the scent of leftover frosting, you slipped out onto the balcony for a moment alone.
You didn’t hear her come out—just felt her shoulder bump into yours as she slid into the chair beside you.
“Hey,” she said, quietly.
“Hey.”
She looked out over the city lights, then back at you. “You really flew them in.”
You nodded. “Had to bribe your sister with candy and airport snacks.”
Nika smiled, shaking her head. “You’re ridiculous.”
“I know.”
A beat passed.
“You’re still the best part of my birthday,” she added, softer now.
You turned toward her, and in the half-dark, you saw the sincerity in her eyes. The way they crinkled when she smiled, the way she looked at you like you mattered. Like she’d been waiting to say that all night.
Your heart swelled in your chest—warm and heavy and full.
“Don’t forget that when I inevitably ignore you again because I picked up another closing shift,” you said, grinning.
“Oh, I will absolutely hold this over your head forever,” she teased. “You’ll never know peace.”
You laughed, and so did she—and in that moment, everything felt right again.
That night on the balcony stuck with you.
Maybe because it felt like a turning point—like all the tension from the past few months had cracked open and been replaced by something softer, steadier. You started carving out more time. Showing up again. Not just with grand gestures, but in the small ways that mattered most.
And she met you there—like always.
You went back to movie nights and late-night drives and leaving each other notes in textbooks you forgot to return. You showed up to more games, even started learning what a pick-and-roll was (kind of). Nika still teased you for cheering five seconds too late, but she never stopped looking for you in the stands.
Time moved differently after that.
Suddenly, you were both seniors. Somehow, inexplicably, the final year. Yet, at the same time, your lives had become so interwoven, it was hard to remember what things were like before she spilled coffee on you that first day. And now? Now, she has a drawer in your apartment. A toothbrush in your bathroom. A mug she claimed as hers every time she used it for coffee. She wasn’t just a part of your life – she’d quietly, seamlessly folded into it. Still, something had shifted.
It was in the way she watched you sometimes when you weren’t looking. In the way her hand lingered too long on your back during hugs. In the way she'd start to say something, then stop herself with a breathy, "Never mind."
One night, after her game, you found her alone in the locker room, lacing and unlacing her sneakers with a faraway look on her face.
“You good?” you asked, settling beside her.
She nodded, too quickly. “Yeah. Just tired.”
But then she added, “Have you ever thought about how different things might be next year?”
You blinked. “Like after graduation?”
“Yeah. Like… you in a different city. Me playing overseas maybe. Us, not…” She hesitated, her eyes flicking to yours. “Not like this.”
You smiled softly. “I try not to think that far ahead.”
“Me neither,” she said. But it came out like a lie.
There was a pause. Then she nudged your knee with hers, and it was like exhaling after holding your breath.
“Don’t worry,” you said. “Wherever we end up, you’re stuck with me.”
She laughed, but there was something glassy in her eyes. “I better be.”
Soon, classes were harder. Futures felt closer. The air around campus buzzed with goodbyes that hadn't even been said yet. Everyone kept talking about what's next, where they'll go, what they'll become. You tried not to think about the ticking clock—but it was always there, echoing under everything.
Basketball got more serious, too.
Nika was in it—deeper than ever. Her practices went longer, her sleep got shorter, and every conversation seemed to circle back to film study or recovery or the pressure of making it count. She wasn’t just UConn’s “secretary of defense” anymore. She was a senior. A two-time Big East defensive player of the year. A legacy in motion.
And you were watching it happen from the front row when March Madness rolled around that final year—cheering the loudest, holding your breath when she hit the court, catching her eye just before every tipoff. Sometimes, she'd smirk. A little secret passed between you like always.
But even then, something in the air started to shift.
Not in a bad way. Not yet.
Just... deeper. Closer. More.
Like the edges of your friendship had started to blur into something else. Something unspoken, stretched taut between quiet glances, tired hugs, and the way she never quite let go of your hand during long walks back to your apartment.
You didn’t know what it meant yet.
And then came the Final Four.
The loss hit her harder than you expected. You had seen her take on challenges before—seen her shake off pain, both physical and emotional. But this was different. There was no bouncing back from this. Not right away, at least.
The silence in the apartment felt heavy, thicker than usual. The game had ended hours ago, but Nika hadn’t said much since. You could feel the weight of it in the air between you. You knew she was trying to hold it together, but you could tell—deep down, it was more than just a loss on the court. It was a dream that had slipped through her fingers.
You hadn’t said anything either, not at first. You just let the quiet linger, trying to give her the space she needed to process, even though you felt like you could barely breathe through the thick tension.
Nika was sitting at the edge of the couch, knees drawn to her chest, looking out the window. The city lights blurred in her reflection, her face pale and tired, a faint sheen of sweat still on her skin from the game. Her UConn jersey—usually so vibrant—looked like it had aged ten years in one night.
"Hey," you said, breaking the silence, your voice softer than usual.
She didn’t turn to look at you. "I should’ve played better," she murmured, her words low, like they were scraping out from the back of her throat. "We should’ve won. We could’ve…"
You moved to sit beside her, close but not too close. She didn’t push you away, but she didn’t invite you in either. You just sat there for a moment, letting the hum of the city fill the gap.
"Hey," you said again, this time touching her arm gently. "You were incredible. All of you were. One game doesn’t change that."
Her eyes flicked toward you, but she still didnt speak. Her gaze was distant, unfocused. She looked... defeated, in a way that made your heart ache.
"Can we just... sit for a while?" she asked, her voice quieter this time, like it had lost some of its usual fire.
You nodded, settling down beside her, not saying a word as the minutes passed. The moonlight drifted through the window, casting a soft glow on her face. You couldn’t help but stare at her, the way her profile looked so fragile in that moment—like she wasn’t the powerhouse athlete you saw every game, but just a girl who had poured her heart into something, and it wasn’t enough.
"I should’ve been able to do more," she finally whispered, more to herself than to you.
"Nika," you started, your voice steady but filled with the weight of everything unsaid. "You’ve already done more than enough. For this team. For yourself. For me."
She shook her head slightly, the faintest hint of frustration creeping into her features. "It’s not just about the team. It’s… I let everyone down."
"No," you said firmly, reaching over to take her hand. "You didn’t let anyone down. You gave everything. And that’s enough."
Her fingers curled around yours, but she didn’t pull you closer. She just stayed there, quiet, letting the moments pass. You could feel the faint tremble in her hand, and your chest tightened.
After a while, she sighed deeply, leaning back against the couch. "I just wanted to give them a championship. I wanted it so badly."
You didn’t have the right words to fix it—hell, you weren’t even sure if there were any words that could make it better. But you squeezed her hand, offering the only thing you could: your presence.
"Whatever you need," you whispered. "I’m here."
She nodded slowly, her eyes closing for a moment, and for the first time that night, she leaned into you. Your arms instinctively wrapped around her, holding her close, and she didn’t pull away. It wasn’t about winning or losing anymore—it was about being there for each other.
And in that moment, you realized you’d always been there for each other. Through all the highs, all the lows, all the unsaid things.
The days after the Final Four were heavy.
Nika didn’t bounce back the way she usually did. The loss lingered like a bruise—tender, invisible, always there. You watched her move through campus like a ghost in sneakers, smiling for cameras, thanking fans, doing everything that was expected of her. But you knew better. You saw the silence in her eyes when the noise faded. The way she lingered in the gym even longer now, pushing her body past the point of exhaustion, like if she could just work hard enough, maybe the ache would go away.
People started asking questions almost immediately. Was she coming back? Using her fifth year? Making one last run at the title? And for a while, even she didn’t have the answer.
You caught her staring out your window one night, knees pulled up to her chest, hoodie drawn tight over her head. The city lights cast her in silver, and you didn’t have to ask what was on her mind.
“I always thought we’d win it all,” she said quietly, almost like she was talking to herself. “That it would all feel... worth it.”
“It was worth it,” you said.
But she just shook her head. “Sometimes I wonder if I gave too much. And now—if I don’t stay—what does that make me?”
You didn’t have an answer. Not one she’d believe, anyway.
Because the truth was, she was already being pulled in a hundred different directions. Agents. Media. Draft boards. Seattle, Indiana, Chicago—everyone had her name on their radar. You knew the WNBA had been a dream since she was a kid, but dreams came with pressure. With decisions. With the terrifying possibility that the next step might be the wrong one.
When she finally announced her decision—foregoing her final year of eligibility and entering the WNBA Draft—it wasn’t flashy. Just a post. A black-and-white photo and a caption that read:
"Grateful for everything. Ready for what’s next." —Nika Mühl
You texted her three seconds after it went live: “You okay?” And she replied: “No. But I will be.”
And then came draft night.
Her name was called in the second round by the Seattle Storm, and the room erupted.
You’d never seen her look more stunned—eyes wide, mouth slightly open like reality hadn’t quite caught up to her yet. People crowded around her, hugging, crying, cheering. She held the Storm jersey in her hands like it might disappear if she blinked.
When her eyes finally found you across the room, it was like a breath released. She mouthed, “Come here,” and you didn’t hesitate.
The afterparty was loud, glittering with celebration. There was music, drinks, speeches, photos—so many photos. Nika floated from group to group, gracious and radiant, but you could tell the weight hadn’t lifted. Not really.
You found her alone near the balcony later, a glass of champagne untouched in her hand.
“You should be inside,” you said. “People are looking for you.”
“I know.” She exhaled slowly, staring out at the city skyline. “I just... needed a minute.”
You stood beside her in the silence, letting the cool night air settle over your shoulders. She finally glanced your way.
“Do you think I made the right choice?” she asked, voice quieter than you’d ever heard it.
You didn’t answer right away.
Instead, you looked at her—really looked. At the proud line of her shoulders, the flicker of fear she was trying to hide, the way her fingers tightened slightly around the glass like she needed something to anchor her.
“I think,” you said carefully, “you’ve spent four years giving every piece of yourself to something you love. And now you’re just choosing to keep loving it—on your terms.”
Her eyes shimmered with something between gratitude and exhaustion.
“You’re gonna be great in Seattle,” you added. “But if you ever want to come back and lose to a real basketball player, I’ll still be here.”
That earned you a real laugh. Soft. Tired. Genuine.
Nika didn’t say anything at first. Her gaze flicked down to the glass in her hand, then up toward the crowded room behind you—music, laughter, cameras flashing. All of it too loud for something this delicate.
“I should offer my congratulations to the other players,” she murmured, already stepping back.
“Yeah,” you said, forcing a smile. “Of course.”
She hesitated—like maybe she wanted to stay. Like there was still something to say. But the moment passed, and then she was gone, weaving back into the celebration with a practiced kind of ease.
You leaned against the railing, trying not to overthink the thud in your chest.
“Hey.” Paige’s voice cut in, low and casual, as she joined you on the balcony, drink in hand.
You didn’t turn at first. Just nodded. “Hey.”
“She’s gonna do great,” Paige said, nudging her shoulder against yours.
“I know,” you answered quietly. “I just... it’s all happening so fast. She’ll be in a new environment. New team. New people. I don’t know.” You paused, feeling the heat of something you didn’t want to name rise in your throat. “It’s stupid.”
“It’s not stupid,” Paige said, amused. “It’s textbook.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Textbook?”
She smirked. “Yeah. Classic pining.”
You blinked. “I’m not—”
“Relax,” she interrupted, holding up a hand. “I’m not judging. Just saying... she’s not going to date anyone in Seattle, if that’s what you’re worried about.”
You blinked again, slower this time. “I wasn’t worried about—”
Paige tilted her head knowingly. “She’s been celibate for you for practically the entire time we’ve been at UConn.”
You nearly choked on air. “What?!”
“She didn’t say it like that,” Paige added with a chuckle. “But I mean... come on. We’ve all seen it. It’s always been you.”
You stared at her, heartbeat ticking up, unsure what to do with that kind of information. The kind that makes your stomach flip and your thoughts spiral.
Paige looked at you, face softening just a little. “She’s not leaving you behind. She just hasn’t figured out how to say she wants you to come with her.”
And with that, she gave your arm a gentle squeeze and walked back inside, leaving you alone with the quiet and a thousand words still stuck in your throat.
You didn’t go back inside. Not yet.
The air outside was cool, but your skin was hot—flushed with the weight of everything that had just been handed to you in one offhand comment from Paige Bueckers. A joke, technically. Just a nudge.
But it cracked something wide open.
She’s been celibate for you practically the entire time we’ve been at UConn.
You closed your eyes and exhaled slowly, like maybe if you stayed still long enough, the truth would settle. But it didn’t. It rose. Tangled and relentless and aching.
Because the truth wasn’t sudden.
It had been there—quiet and steady, hiding in plain sight. In the softness of Nika’s voice when she said your name. In how she always remembered the small things, like which brand of tea you liked when you were sick or how your dad used to hum classic rock in the kitchen.
You’d built a thousand memories together. Shared holidays and heartbreaks and stupid little Tuesday mornings. You’d joked, clung to each other, fought like sisters and loved like—what?
Friends?
You’d called it that. For years, you’d called it friendship. But now you were wondering if that word had been too small all along.
It wasn’t just Paige’s words.
It was the look on Nika’s face before she walked away—like something inside her had given up on being quiet. Like she wanted to say something but didn’t. Like she’d already said everything in the way she loved you, and she was done waiting for you to notice.
And god, you hated yourself at that moment. Because you had noticed. Just not clearly. Not fully.
You were so wrapped up in the rhythm of it—the shared routines, the laughs, the way she always showed up when no one else did—that you hadn’t stopped to question why it felt so permanent. Why it felt like you couldn’t imagine anything mattering more than her.
You’d been blind.
Not in a dramatic way. Just in the everyday kind. The way someone gets used to the sun rising and forgets it’s a miracle every morning. The way something constant can feel invisible until the moment it’s slipping away.
You hadn’t seen her. Not really. Not for what she was trying to be to you—not just the best friend, not just the late-night baking partner or sideline smile before tipoff. She’d been offering her heart in all the ways she knew how. And you’d held it, oblivious, like it was just something friends did.
It hit you all at once: you’d been in love with her for years.
Not in fireworks. Not in sweeping moments or grand gestures.
But in the way your day never started right until you heard her voice. In the way her hoodie was still the one you reached for when everything felt too heavy. In the way every version of your future had her laugh somewhere in it.
And now she was leaving for Seattle. A new team. A new world. Without you.
Your stomach twisted. You weren’t scared of her success—you were so proud of her it hurt—but the thought of her smiling like that at someone else, of some other girl knowing the feel of her arms in a crowd or the way she whispered dumb jokes under her breath when she was nervous. That thought gutted you. Because that had been yours. And maybe, just maybe, you wanted it to always be yours.
You pressed your fingers to your lips, like they were holding back a truth you weren’t ready to say out loud.
But maybe it was time.
Time to stop calling it something safe. Time to be brave the way she’d always been for you. Because Nika Mühl had loved you in all the quietest ways. And maybe it was time to finally say it back.
You found her near the bar, cheeks flushed, drink in hand, spinning a half-empty glass between her fingers. The party had swelled—music pulsing, laughter rising in waves—but she stood still in the middle of it, like a pause in the chaos. Her eyes lit up when she saw you.
“There you are,” she said, voice a little slurred, a little softer than usual. “I was looking.”
You offered her a steadying arm, and she leaned into it without hesitation.
“Think you’ve had enough,” you said, managing a smile.
“Think I’ve earned it,” she mumbled, but let you guide her toward the door.
The cab ride was quiet—just the low hum of the engine and Nika’s head resting on your shoulder. You kept staring out the window, hoping the blur of streetlights could silence the noise in your chest. But it didn’t. Not even close.
Your apartment was dark when you unlocked the door, familiar in its stillness. You helped her out of her heels and guided her to the couch, where she dropped down with a groan.
“You’re so serious,” she muttered suddenly, peering up at you. “Why are you being so… serious?”
You froze. “What do you mean?”
She tilted her head. “You’ve got that faraway look again. Like you’re here, but not really.”
You tried to brush it off. “It’s nothing.”
“Bullshit,” she said, too quick. “You always do this. You disappear inside your head and pretend you’re fine.”
“Nika…”
She sat up straighter, brows furrowed despite the haze in her eyes. “Is it Seattle? Are you scared I’ll leave and forget you or something?”
“No,” you said quickly, too quickly. “God, no. I’m proud of you. I’m so proud of you.”
She looked at you then—really looked at you. The kind of look she only gave when she was reading between the lines. She leaned forward, elbows on her knees, like she was steadying herself against whatever was coming.
“Then what is it?” she asked, softer now. “Because it feels like there’s something you’re not saying. And I don’t want to leave with you keeping whatever this is bottled up.”
You opened your mouth. Closed it. Because how do you say, “I’ve been in love with you for years and I didn’t even realize it until someone else said it out loud?”
How do you confess to mistaking a burning house for a warm fireplace?
Your hands clenched at your sides. “I talked to Paige tonight.”
Nika blinked. “Okay?”
“She said something. About you. About… us.” You couldn’t meet her eyes, not yet. “She said you’ve been… waiting. That you haven’t been with anyone because—because of me.”
Silence stretched between you.
And then, quietly, “She talks too much.” You looked up. Nika wasn’t angry. Just… exposed. Her smile faltered. “I didn’t want you to find out like that.”
Your heart thundered. “Is it true?”
She didn’t answer right away. Instead, she stood, wobbled slightly, and steadied herself on the armrest. “Why do you think I’ve been around this long, huh?” she said with a tired laugh. “You think I show up for everyone when they’re sick with their favorite soup and stupid flowers from the farmer’s market?”
You stared. “You brought me dahlias because I said once—”
“That your dad used to get them for your mom when she had bad days,” she finished. “I remember. I remember everything about you.”
You felt like your ribs were too tight for your lungs. “I thought it was just… you being you,” you whispered.
“It was me being me,” she said. “But only with you.” And that broke something.
“I didn’t know,” you breathed. “I was so close to it, I couldn’t see. I was blind to everything because you’ve always been right in front of me and I never let myself think it could be more. Not really.”
Her eyes softened. “And now?”
“Now I can’t stop thinking about it,” you said, voice cracking. “About you. About all of it. I keep going back to every moment—every time you stayed, every time you held me, every time I should’ve said something. I think I’ve loved you this whole time and I just… I didn’t know what to call it.”
Nika moved closer, like the space between you was unbearable. “You don’t have to call it anything. Just tell me it’s real.”
“It’s real,” you whispered. “God, it’s real.”
And then she kissed you—gently, as if testing whether the world would collapse or settle into place. It settled.
You didn’t pull away. Neither did she.
The kiss wasn’t urgent—it didn’t need to be. It wasn’t about making up for lost time. It was about everything that had always been there, finally surfacing. Gentle. Certain. Familiar in the most unfamiliar way.
Her forehead touched yours as your breaths mingled, the room too quiet and too loud all at once.
Nika smiled first—barely, just the smallest curve of her lips—and whispered, “Took us long enough.”
You let out a shaky laugh, eyes still closed. “Yeah.” And then it was quiet again.
Not the kind of quiet that asks for conversation. The kind that only happens when there’s nothing left to prove. Just two people, sitting in the soft, golden aftermath of something that’s been waiting to happen for a long, long time.
Nika leaned her head on your shoulder. Her hand found yours, fingers interlacing like they’d done it a thousand times—only now it felt new. Earned.
“I don’t want this to be a one-time thing,” she said after a while, voice low. “I know we’re moving into new chapters and states and time zones and all of it, but I don’t want to wonder ‘what if’ anymore.”
You squeezed her hand. “Me neither.”
The clock on the wall ticked past midnight. Outside, the city buzzed in celebration and motion—but in that quiet apartment, time bent. Softened. Paused.
You tilted your head toward her and whispered, “Stay here tonight.”
She was already pulling the blanket off the back of the couch. “Wasn’t planning on leaving.”And so you stayed. Not just in the room, or in the moment, but in it—this new, fragile beginning. A truth long buried, finally unearthed. You didn’t talk about what tomorrow meant. You didn’t need to. Not yet. Because for the first time in years, the silence between you didn’t hold distance. It held everything.
You awoke the next morning on your couch with no Nika next to you.
The throw blanket had slipped halfway to the floor. A dull ache in your curled neck from the angle you'd fallen asleep in, but none of that compared to the flicker of panic that sparked in your chest when your hand reached out and met only empty cushion.
Then, soft clicking, the low hum of something brewing, a faint curse in Croatian coming from the kitchen.
You moved on instinct, rounding the corner too fast — too fast for Nika to react.
"Shit—!" she yelped as one of the two mugs she was holding tilted too far, coffee sloshing over the side. Her socks slipped a little on the wooden floor, and for a second, it felt like time bent in on itself.
You froze in the doorway. She did, too.
And suddenly, you were nineteen again. First week of freshman year. A too-fast turn, a cup of coffee spilled across your shirt, and a girl with an accent and a laugh that made your whole world sound softer.
"You scared the hell out of me," Nika said, still clutching the cups like they were fragile cargo. She was wearing your old hoodie, the one that had your high school logo fading across the chest. Her hair was a little messy, eyes still sleepy. She looked like morning, yet still grinning through the mess. "Déjà vu?"
You laughed, stepping forward to grab a rag off the counter. "You just have a thing for spilling coffee on me, huh?"
She passed you a mug — less full now, but still warm — and for a second, you just stood there, facing her across the same floor where your friendship had once started as a simple accident.
Except now it wasn't just friendship.
Now, it was all the in-betweens. The almosts. The years of laughter and late-night talks and cookies and confessionsl All the things you never had the words for, finally spoken.
Nika glanced down at her once white socks now soaked in coffee, then back at you, something awe like flickering in her eyes. "I think I loved you even then."
You swallowed. The coffee burned your throat in the best way, but not in the way that you planted a kiss on Nika's lips. "I think I was too blind to see it — literally."
She smiled at that, soft and knowing, both taking sips as you leaned against the counter beside her and let the quiet settle in.
And there, in the messy kitchen with the morning sun bleeding through the windows, you felt it.
Not a confession. Not a climax. Just a continuation of everything that had always been right in front of you.

You are awoken by the feeling of soft kisses trailing against your bare neck and shoulders, a soft sigh escaping your lips when the kisses began to trail lower. She takes her time to kiss and caress all over your upper body. Every curve, bump, and dip of your body as she tells you how beautiful you are. Her praises turning sexual as she gets closer and closer to the space between your legs. Your wife’s face pulling into an amused smirk at her effect on you despite your sleepiness.
She places a teasing nip to your hip, and you let out an annoyed whine attempting to push her away with little luck when she simply moves lower and spreads your legs. A soft moan escaping her lips when she gives a soft lick from your hole to your clit.
A soft groan escapes you at the action and you find yourself spreading yourself wider for her, silently pleading her to continue her actions. She of course does, eagerly lapping at you until she slid in two fingers. Her lips twitching up when you arch off the sheets and whimper her name.
“Nika… Nika fuck baby.”
That earned a growl and a quick nip to your thigh, the feeling making you jolt in your place and whimper as her fingers sped up and her lips wrapped around your clit to land a quick harsh suck there as a warning.
“D-daddy! I meant daddy!” you plea, clenching around her fingers as she slips in another, her mouth occupying itself on your clit.
The mixing of the two sensations causing you to squirm, leaking juices down her hand and legs begging to shake under her unrelenting pace of thrusts and sucks at your clit. She sends you hurtling towards your first orgasm.
Its intense when it hits, shocking your whole system. Its like a brick wall hotting you. Every nerve in your body going crazy as your body shakes and she continues her suckling at your clit and the bruising pace of her fingers pounding into you.
You gasp and moan and yell for her till your voice goes horse and your eyes flutter closed, your mind quelling to simply allow your body to take in al the feeling and pleasure.
Nika coos when you come down from your high, removing her fingers and making a show of licking them clean, before she places kisses and nips to your thighs. Not a care in the world as your juices make a mess of her face and your thighs.
“That’s a good girl baby, Daddy’s good girl” she coos, reaching into the drawer in the nightstand and grabbing one of her favourite toys. A vibrating egg toy, she coos at your widening eyes and your feeble attempts to get away clicking the toy on with a soft hum and tracing it against your sensitive clit.
She glides it from your clit down to your hole, chuckling in almost a mocking way at how you clench around nothing, arching your back and bucking your hips in an attempt to push the toy in.
“Ah Ah Ah!” she lands a sharp slap to your thigh, making you yelp and whimper under her as she fixes a glare onto you. “Behave for Daddy, my sweet girl” she hums as if it’s a question, but you know its not.
You tug your lip between your teeth chewing on it in anticipation, nodding your head to signal to her you’ll be good. She hums then and moves to push the toy inside clicking it to full power as she buries it deep inside you.
You yelp and whine and moan as your body writhes from the feeling of the vibrating toy pushing against that sensitive spot inside you. “Daddy please, more need more” you pant and her moves to hover over you, attaching her lips to the sweet spot on your neck.
She nips and sucks at you, mumbling praises, and teasing remarks at how easy it is for her to make a mess of you. Her hand slipping back between your legs, slipping in her three fingers with ease, your pussy a leaking abused mess by now.
“That’s it Babygirl, that’s it. Daddy’s perfect little slut” she husks out licking at you neck before finding yet another place to leave a mark. Nibbling at it harshly while she moves her thumb to press and rub at your swollen clit.
“T-To much-“ you whine, panting and attempting to move away from the girl above you, but she has you pinned. Paying your whines and pants no mind, telling you to take it and to be good as she speeds up the pace of her fingers and the abuse on your clit. The action pushing and prodding at the toy deep inside you sending you over the edge again this time even more intense.
Though this time she doesn’t slow down or stop, she keeps going rougher and harder again and again and again. Pushing you to the edge over and over. The sheets beneath the two of you soaked as you begin you squirt and she moans at the feeling moving back down there after the first time, eager to watch the second.
You’re a babbling mess by now moans and whines of “Daddy” and “Too much” escaping your lips like a mantra. Nika’s own mantra if “That’s it” and “Daddy’s good girl” being her only reply. The room filling with wet squelching, moaning and whines.
She brings you close to the edge once more, you feel yourself seconds from your climax, likely about to squirt all over her and the sheets once more until she retracts her fingers. An almost mocking coo sent your way in response to your wines. Though your whines turn to moans when she re attaches her lips to you.
She hands holding your legs firmly apart as she sucks and laps at you. The room filling with your moans and whines mixing perfectly with her groans and the obscene slurping as she eats you out like she’s been starving for days. You cum again, fast, and hard coating her face as you squirt though she doesn’t bat an eye. She simply laps up every drop before going back in just as eagerly and you know then this is going to be a long night…
-
By the time the end of the night rolled around your mind was past being broken, you were simply a puddle on the bed barely aware of your surroundings. Nika on the other hand was performing her job diligently.
The second the nights pleasures had ended she had kissed your head praising you as she got up to start a bath, while the water ran, she walked back into the room where you lay half awake on the soaked sex blanket covering the bed.
She made quick work of cleaning any toys that were used putting them away and grabbing out a change of clothes to wear in bed that night, setting them on the pillows next to you. She then gently picked you up, holding you against her with ease as she stripped the blanket from the bed. Never more grateful for the indulgent percase when she sees the unmarked, dry bed. She chucked it into the washing basket to deal with in the morning.
Carrying you into the bathroom she checks the temperature of the water, shutting of the taps as she gets in, guiding you to do so as well as she settles behind you with you on her lap. Half for safety knowing your too exhausted to keep yourself up and half because she just loves the feeling of having you close to her body.
The two of you stay in the warmth of the bath for as long as you can. She uses all your favourite soaps, gently washing your body. She’s extra careful around any sensitive or sore areas as she kisses your base shoulders, holding you securely in her strong arms. Muttering praises as she goes despite not knowing if you can actually hear her or not in your hazy mind.
She even softly shampoos and rinses your hair, being so so careful not to get a drop of soap in your eyes. Once she knows your clean and relaxed, she gives herself a quick wash to rid herself of the sweat and the aftermath of the rather passionate oral she had performed.
She could stay like that forever, the comfortable warmth of the water as she holds you close, tracing shapes against your skin as you lean into her for comfort and safety. Unfortunately, the water started to turn cold, much too soon for your wife’s liking as she lifts you with ease out of the tub with her.
She helps you dry off and dresses you into your favourite comfort sleep clothes and makes quick work of dressing herself before she lifts you off on the bed before you fell into a deep sleep star-fishing on top of the bed. Its easy work for her, strong arms scouping you up as she throws back the covers. Placing you down before getting in beside you, pulling you securely into her arms as she kisses your head. Her hand goes back to tracing mindless shapes against you as she tells you how good you did for her; how much she loves you. You sleepily cuddle close, and her body seems to radiate a comforting head that effectively knocks you out in seconds, her eyes blinking shut as she follows suit. The two of you drifting off peacefully, wrapped up in each other’s arms.

Be my valentine
Paige Bueckers x Reader
Warnings; smut, pure filth, strap, subpaige, domreader
A/N; our valentine's day special is here!! A bit late...but here! It is a bit long because i am late so i figured you might want a long ass chapter. I hope y'all enjoy this and if you want anything different requests are open!!
Reader's pov
I was walking around in the mall trying to find my last present for Paige since today is valentine's day. I already have bought many stuff to decorate our dorm before she gets home from the team hangout. We have been dating for two years now and honestly they are probably the best years of my life. I finally made my way to the shop i was looking for the past hour and went inside. Me and Paige had...quite an interesting sex life and we may or may not have talked about upgrading things a little. Spice them up. I made my way around the store searching for the toy she has been talking about nonstop and once i found it even though it was in a pretty big size i took it and made my way to the cashier. I had no problem with paying it myself i am not a shy person.
Once my job here was done i quickly left seeing i had one hour left before paige returned. I opened the door and entered the dorm before getting right to work. I placed the roses allover the living room and bedroom and made sure the food was practically ready for when paige got here.
I placed the box with the toy in the bedroom and changed into a long black dress that hugged my curves perfectly. It was a new dress and i had bought it a few days ago just for this day along with the black lingerie i wore underneath. I smiled to myself already knowing that paige loved to see me in black.
I sprayed some of Paige's favourite perfumes before i went back to the living room getting two glasses of wine set on table and sat there waiting for her scrolling through my Instagram feed. A couple of minutes pass by when i heard her keys jingle before the door opened revealing a Paige who had a white pair of pants and button up shirt with a black blazer.
Her eyes wandered around looking at the atmosphere i had created making a smile appear on her face before her eyes landed on mine. She studied me closely as she pushed the door to close behind her not daring to look away. She looked at me from head to toe as her eyes darkened. "Happy valentine's day baby" i said sweetly before standing up and making my way towards her. "Happy valentine's day beautiful" she replied bringing her other hand in front of me handing me a big bouquet of orchids. I gasped at her gesture before pressing my lips against hers softly before saying 'thank you' in the crook of her neck.
"Wait for me here. I'll go put this in water and I'll be back" i said and she nodded making her way to the couch. Once i had the roses settled i returned to the living room staying just a bit behind to look at her reaction. She was studying the room with a huge grin on her face.
"You like the atmosphere baby?" I asked as i walked in making her jump a bit drom her surprise. We both laughed at her reaction before ahe extended her hands to rake a hold of me. "I love it. I love you" she whispered before pulling me in for a soft kiss. "I love you too baby" i breathed before kissing her once again.
Although the soft kiss turned into a deeper one. I circled my hands around her neck before pushing my tongue deeper trying to taste her better. She let out a soft groan before we pulled away dor air. We sat down and i gave her the glass of wine. We both smiled at eachother and took a sip before placing them back on the table.
Her hands were back on my hips as she studied my appearance. "You look beautiful" she muttered her eyes getting lost in mine. "And you haven't seen nothing yet baby" i whispered back at her making her blush. I placed my hand on her cheek caressing it softly before i kissed her again. Only now both mine and Paige's hunger for one another was much deeper. Much stronger than what we cared to admit.
She slowly guided my hips on top of her lap before i was completely on top of her. My dress riding up a bit revealing much more surface of my thighs. Paige's hand held onto my thigh tightly as i bit her lip pulling it back with me. A soft moan escaped from her lips turning me on even more.
I pulled away slightly studying her features biting my lip at the thoughts of what would happen in a bit. "Don't stop. Please just do something. Please" she whined breathlessly. A smile tugged at my lips as my palm circled her throat. I always loved how submissive she would get for me. Adorable.
I pushed her back before i got up slowly heading to our bedroom. Midway i stopped and turned around seeing she hadn't gotten up yet. "Come on baby. Be a good girl and follow me". She didn't need to be told twice. She shot up and with a couple of long strides she had come up behind me. I giggled as i felt her hands cup my ass before i grabbed her by the collar of her shirt and made her follow me further. I sat her down on the bed and straddled her before slowly lifted up her shirt tossing it somewhere in the room. A gasp left my mouth at the sight of her breathtaking body. I leaned down and peppered kisses allover her leaving her a whiny mess. I got back up to her lips kissing her deeply making her moan at the kiss. Her hands made their way on my ass tightening their grip on it making me yelp a bit. I sat back up and turned so she would face my back. "Help me with this" i said knowing that she would do as I said. And i was right. She sat up and slowly undid my dress helping me slip off of it. She threw it somewhere else while her eyes were devouring me whole. A smirk stayed on my lips as i saw her looking at the lingerie. "I love you in black. You know i do" she muttered standing up now towering over me. "I have one more present for you. And it is in the bathroom. I'm sure you'll love it" i whispered in her ear before i laid on the bed steadying myself on my elbows.
"You did not.." i heard her say from the bathroom making a smile come to my face. She run out shocked looking at me and the toy. "You want me ..to use this?" She asked and i nodded biting my lip. Her eyes darkened even more if that was possible. She slowly put it on after she discarded her clothes. She bit her lip as her hands roamed throughout my body studying every curve and every muscle. I straddled her as she attacked my neck leaving bites and kisses everywhere. "Oh fuck baby" i breathed as she placed her fingers at my entrance. A smirk was placed on her face not daring to come off. She slowly inserted them inside me making me go feral "OH mh fuck-" i whimpered as she slowly pumped them inside me creating a chaos inside me.
"Yes baby just like that. So good for me" i praised Paige as my hand cupped her cheek while knowing damn well what my complements did to her. She looked at me pleading to go faster. With a quick nod she started going faster and faster not letting me take a breath. "Oh yes. Yesyesyes fuck Paige" i moaned out feeling my high coms closer and closer. "Cum for me ma" she husked and needless to say that i didn't need anything else. I felt the string tightening in my stomach finally snap making me see stars. "Oh yes Paige. I'm cumming fuck". A bunch of moans left my lungs trying to make me come down to the face of earth after my first orgasm of the night.
As she slowly pulled them out of me she brought them up to my lips making me suck my cum off of her fingers. I kept eye contact as i licked them off of her letting out a moan at the taste. I slowly turned us around making her lay down. "Sit down baby. Let mommy do the work" i said and straddled her. She bit her lip at how i sat on her stomach. A shaky breath left my lings as i felt the clear ups and downs of her abs. "So fucking pretty all for me hm?" I asked her to which she nodded rapidly. I chuckled at her reaction before i lined up my hole with the toy that was fixated on her waist. "Are you ready baby?" She asked looking as impatient as ever. I nodded as she slipped the toy slowly inside me. My mouth hung open as a loud moan left my lips. "Oh my- Fuck" i groaned as i felt the vibrator at the other side of the strap. Paige placed her hands on my hips slowly making me grind against her. I started going up and down on her as my hands circled her neck for stability as I kissed her passionately.
My eagerness to reach my high got the best of me making me move faster and faster. "Oh yes fuck. So tight for me mommy" Paige moaned in the crook of my neck. I was too stunned to speak so i just took a hold of her face before i smashed my lips against hers. Moans and groans could be heard as we kissed. Only the sounds paige let out made me hornier by the second. I could feel by the impatience of her moves that she was getting closer to reaching her orgasm and so was i.
I pulled away gasping for air as breathy moans left my lips. "I'm so so close baby. Fucking me so good" i whine and almost immediately her movements sped up. Doubling her efforts. "Fuck me too. I'm gonna cum mommy. Please let me cum with you" she pleaded her voice raspy. How could i say no to her?
"Cum with me baby. Let go for me" i breathed and after i said it i felt my whole world crush upon me. "Oh my GOD" I screamed at the top of my lungs closing my eyes not being able to concentrate in anything else other than my orgasm. Paige followed suit letting out the cuntiest moans i have ever heard. My movements started to slow down before we finally stopped trying to regain our breath. Paige's lips left tons of kisses allover my neck and breasts as her quick breath hit my skin sending goosebumps allover my body.
I made her look up at me and felt a lazy and tired smile come up to my face looking at how cute and tired she looked like. "You good baby?" I asked softly caressing her cheek. She smiled at me before giving me a quick peck on the lips. "I'm feeling a lot more than just okay. This was the best present ever" she said making a blush come up to my cheeks. "Well I'm glad. I knew you would love this" i replied motioning to the toy that was still inside me.
She slowly made me sit up sliding the toy out of me and placing it on the bathroom telling me she would clean it later. She came back and held me on top of her. Paige always loved skin to skin contact. "You hungry?" I asked hearing her stomach growl basically. She laughed before nodding. "Great cause i had prepared us a really nice and romantic dinner for before this act but someone got carried away.." i said side eyeing her making her laugh. "I mean come on! Can you blame me? You looked-and still do- like a literal goddess" she said making me laugh and burry my head in the crook of her neck. "Okay superstar let's get you to eat. Them muscles ain't gonna stay strong if I don't feed you" i said slowly getting up still feeling a little weak in the legs.
We got changed into comfortable clothes and made our way to the kitchen. We sat down and ate dinner holding each others hands from time to time. Stealing soft kisses from one another. It was perfect. She is perfect. I can't imagine my life without her.

★ Oh Captain, My Captain
Nika/Monkey D. Luffy x Reader ★
Egghead Spoilers!! ~ Straw Hat!Reader ~ Gender Neutral ~ Fluff
a/n: Because Nika's also considered the God of Liberation, reader is implied to have some history of being captured and/or enslaved. It isn't expanded upon; Whether it's like Nami in Arlong Park or Kuma with the Celestial dragons or anything else is up to interpretation.
You're setting out the incense you've been using since you first dabbled in worship when Luffy—your captain and boyfriend—barges in. He'd been curious when you first told him what you were doing before it inevitably petered off.
However, recently, his interest came back in full swing; What does praying to this Nika really entail?
You can't help but roll your eyes affectionately. You hadn't started praying necessarily, so there wasn't anything to get mad at. You're tucked away in the lookout room—after opening the window, it's the only place where the incense's smoke wouldn't get trapped. You had just barely convinced Zoro to delay his training for an hour so you could pray. You considered the library, but the look you imagine to be on Robin's face if she had found out you burned incense near books immediately steered you away from its door. Scooting to the side, you let Luffy coil around you and watch curiously over your shoulder.
"What's that?" You can feel his head tilt against your neck.
"The incense?"
"Mm."
You light the sticks and breathe in the comforting scent. After you put out your match, you kneel in front of the makeshift altar on the couch. He plops down, still attached to your side.
"It's like... Hm. Smoke to guide my prayers?" You hold up one of your hands to gesture to the billowing vapor. "So that Nika can reach them."
Luffy's face scrunches at the mention of Nika's name. He sometimes reminds you of a cat when he does that. Luffy's smile doesn't falter—because Monkey D. Luffy never falters—but it turns like the gears in his head.
"Like a news coo?"
You blink. "I guess. Like a news coo."
He hums thoughtfully. Luffy's arms wrap round and round your torso as you set up to pray. You're almost impressed by how still he's sitting until—yeah, no, he fell asleep. You smile. Whatever works, you think to yourself.
You finish your prayer without a hitch, which is better than the usual outcome you get with Luffy sitting in for it. You even get to lean into him and breathe in the feeling for a long while before he wakes up.
Luffy blinks the sleep from his eyes. Blearily, he looks at the lack of smoke, the midday sun, and your gentle, loving smile.
"You're fast at praying," Luffy says. You snort.
The smoke has already faded, blown out through the open window. Despite yourself, you find your mind drifting with it back to the shores of Egghead. Luffy... That had been the fight of your lives. It was nothing compared to the power you'd been thoroughly beaten by two years ago, but you still survived. By the skin of your teeth, yes, but you survived. All thanks to the pirates of Elbaf.
Well, them and Luffy's new gear.
You can still see it, every time you close your eyes.
Bouncing between hell and its horrors, your captain just smiled and laughed in its face. You'd seen a glimpse of it from the fight on Onigashima, but seeing him truly fight—and Vegapunk saying exactly what you were feeling—only confused you more.
The first time you heard of the god... you'll never forget it. It was like shadow blotted out the sky, with no hope to be found. Time blurred, until you couldn't distinguish each endless day from the rest.
And then you heard it.
Nika.
His story was passed in whispers during meal time and prayers muttered before curfew. You pick it up pieces at a time.
He's a god of destruction, you learn first. You hear it from the angry, spiteful stories of people hoping He would come down and lay waste to all those who have harmed His followers.
He's a god of the Sun, you learn soon after. You hear it from longing, wistful stories of people hoping He would part the clouds and let the sun shine its light to guide His followers home.
He's a god of laughter, you learn after a while. You hear it from sad, mirthless stories of people hoping He would give His followers something to laugh about for the first time in a while.
In the end, you never hear it from a specific tale. You piece it together, taking the ending from each and every other one; Nika is a god of Liberation. No matter who and no matter where, each of His followers pray He will find them and free them.
It's this that bewitches you. Somewhere from the beginning until then, you realized that you, too, prayed to Nika and shared His stories. Whispering of the day He would come and save you all.
You squeezed Luffy's wrist. "Hey, I have a question."
Your captain tilts his head. He doesn't say anything, just squeezing you.
"A-Are you... Um, Do you know Nika?"
Luffy purses his lips, furrowing his eyebrows. A second passes, and then another, and then his eyes widen. "Oh yeah! That's the one you pray to, right? Bonney mentioned that guy! What about 'im?"
You rub circles against his skin with your thumb. You can feel his warmth.
"...Can I see your Gear 5?"
Luffy looks at you. He doesn't ask you anything about it. The look that he has—it's like he can see the storm in your head. Unraveling himself, Luffy rolls backwards into a squat and grins at you.
Pressure in the room builds. Something foreign drapes itself over Luffy as his eyes shut. It shakes like strikes to a drum, vibrating through the air until it reaches you and reverberates through your bones.
And then he opens his eyes.
It's like staring down a wild animal.
"I feel it!" Balling up his hand, your captain bangs his fist against his chest. With each strike, lightning bursts forth and grazes past. His chest beats with every strike until his hands drop and it still beats—Luffy's body sways under the force of its rhythm, possessed by something you're tempted to call a dance.
It's then you see it; White bleeds from his scalp and devours up the black of his hair. It doesn't stop until it swallows up the color in his clothes, until clouds sprout into existence and wrap around his arms.
It's not particularly cold, but his sharp exhale is like a dragon's breath of steam. He breathes in, chest swelling with air, and then bursts into laughter.
Sparks fly with every cackle, bouncing off the walls and pushing them like- like rubber. You stumble back, twisting your body to dodge the electricity. You want to go closer. You want to see. You want to—
Nika.
Air whooshes past your ears and your nose brushes against his.
Glowing, red eyes stare down at you, crinkling at the edges with unabashed mirth. If you weren't already on your knees, hands clasped in front of you in prayer, you would've collapsed at the sight. Hell, you feel your eyes pop out of your head at it.
With warmth you can almost taste, Nika laughs.
"Caught you," He says.
You give in.
Nika breezes past you and flops back against the crow's nest's couch, riding with the waves that ripple through it like a water bed. His movement almost knocks over the unlit incense.
You scoot forward until you're closer. You lay your head atop His thighs and wind your arms behind His knees, avoiding the radiant light staring down at you. Your heart pitter-patters so hard against your ribcage you worry He can feel it against His shins.
But then Nika laughs—oh, how He laughs, it's like the sound soars from His lips and dances among the incense smoke. It's divine. It dissipates the worry from your heart.
"Oh, sun," you gasp, "it's you."
"Of course it's me!" He laughs. The sound makes your heart dance. "Who else could it be?"
"I-It's just that—" You risk a look, and it's just as blinding as you imagined. You bury your face again. "I thought that- that Nika—"
"—What?—"
"I mean, you look just like him!" You force yourself to look up at His radiance. "It's almost like- you're Nika!"
The blinding figure just laughs at you again, slapping his palm against his stomach. "I'm not Nika! Jeez, you're kinda stupid!"
You ignore the obvious dig, scrambling to sit up straight. You're in so much shock, your jaw drops.
Literally.
You feel your chin smack against the ground before you realize what's happening. You scream as you desperately try to shut your mouth—and it snaps right up like nothing. You slap a hand over your mouth.
All of a sudden, a light bulb appears only to alight above the man's head. Hands clasp themselves on the sides of your face. Before you can manage a thought, they pry you up to stare into furious, ruby eyes. "I'm not Nika! I'm Luffy!"
Thought escape you, but you scrounge together your words. "I know, but-" That hair, that laugh.
His pout stops you. "Don't start calling me that, too! You know I'm Luffy!" He yells. You can feel the air bend at the strength of his voice.
The heat would be suffocating if you weren't so used to it. You're used to Luffy treating you like this, but if you didn't know better, you'd think the steam over your head was coming from your ears at the treatment.
Wait. What?
You look up, and—yeah, okay, that's really steam. You clasp your hands over your ears and feel condensation gather on your palm.
Luffy's expression clears like clouds parting. He doesn't even bother trying to frown! Despite your shock, Luffy can't help but laugh. He tosses his head back and laughs, clutching at his stomach and covering his eyes. The force of his amusement almost feels physical. You fall onto your back while he just clambers on over you until his forehead is pressed against yours.
"I'm," he gasps between giggles, "Luffy!"
"I know!"
"I'm Luffy!" He cackles this time!
Oh, you can't help the way the laugh that bursts out of you. Seeing him again, feeling the warmth of his skin, it's different. Reverence possessed you from afar, but your heart knows the feel of Luffy's touch. No God could make you feel so much love like this—not even a God of Liberation.
You gently cradle his face, soft smile on your lips, and nod. "I know, captain. You're always my Luffy," you say, and you know it's true.
"Good!"
He grins and falls off of you. The planks bend and ripple with waves under him.
You sit up. Suppressing your snickers, you pull him up by the lapel of his vest. Luffy's head lolls back as you shake him. The laughter rumbling in his chest feels like it's rattling your ribcage. He's practically boneless like this... kind of reminds you of a cat. You snicker at the thought.
The novelty of Gear 5 had worn off by now. Here, sitting with your captain, you didn't feel any of the reverence you did when you first saw Him. No, there's no reverence—all you can feel is love in your veins and laughter in your heart with him.
"Hey, Luffy."
He peeks at you curiously. "Whuh?"
You pull him closer, stealing a gentle kiss.
When you pull back, you can't help but snicker. Luffy has a goofy, squiggly grin on his face as he melts into goo, with hearts floating above his head and spirals in his eyes. What a strange boyfriend you have.
You let out a sigh. How blessed you are.

Congrats on 2k!!! So deserved 🫶
Can I request smut for either 2 or 45 with Nika?
prompt 45 "look at me or i'll stop" ── strap on. rough sex
thankyou so much! 𖹭𖹭
nika’s strap drove into you with a rough, unyielding rhythm that left you trembling, rach thrust sent a shockwave of pleasure through your core, your body arching instinctively to meet her, though it was almost too much to bear.
your hands clutched the sheets, fingers twisting in the fabric as you fought to ground yourself against the intensity, the bed creaked beneath you, mingling with your ragged gasps and the low, steady sound of nika’s breaths, her focus absolute.
your head tipped to the side, eyes fluttering shut as the sensations overwhelmed you, a shaky moan spilling from your lips, the brief retreat into darkness was shattered when nika’s pace stuttered, her grip on your hips tightening with a flash of frustration.
“look at me.” she snapped, her voice low and edged with command, cutting through the haze. “or i’ll stop.” your eyes flew open, heart pounding as you met her gaze.
nika’s stare was fierce, dark and unrelenting, locking you in place with an intensity that made your breath catch, the fire in her eye surge a heat through you, your pulse racing as you struggled to hold her gaze.
“nika—please,” you whispered, voice breaking into a whimper, your body aching for her to keep going. “don’t you dare look away,” she said, her tone softening just enough to carry a hint of warmth, though the warning remained.

Nika's hair always felt nice on my bare chest. I felt at peace when I'd wake up to her lips just barely touching my collarbones. my hands were still tangled in her hair but I slowly twirled some strands in between my fingers. this didn't feel right. it felt right in the moment but in the back of my mind, I didn't deserve it. I didn't deserve to have this perfect woman in my arms. it felt like I took up her warmth. I slowly peeled my arms off of her back and slid out from under her. her head gently fell against the pillow I was previously lying on. I watched as she didn't make a single move. I stood there and admired her messy hair sprawled out on the silky pillowcase. her fingers tightened around nothing but fabric, I could tell she wanted me back there. but I still walked to the bathroom and cleaned myself up. brushed my hair and brushed my teeth with the same thought running around my head. the same thoughts.
I can't fuck this up
yet the moment I felt okay and comfortable, a flip had switched. a couple of weeks after that morning I was feeling amazing. I felt like everything I was blessed with was meant for me. but the second an ounce of doubt ran through my head, I blew.
"Baby who is this?" Nika said holding my phone to my face. her voice was soft and calm but part of me still felt threatened. it wasn't anyone. it was just my best friend and I happened to have her contact as "babe💞" the same emoji I had next to Nika's name on my phone. I knew that it was just my best friend and nothing more but for some reason, I felt the need to panic. as if I had something to hide. "oh. uh, it's just- no one." I snatched my phone out of her hand leaving it empty as if it was searching for something to grasp onto. I held my phone to my face as I quickly changed the contact back to my best friend's name and a red heart next to it. I felt guilty for nothing. when I looked up I saw Nika with watering eyes ready to burst. and suddenly I copied. this is the last thing I wanted. Had I fucked it up? "y-you can tell me who it is." her voice was trembling beneath her lips. I could tell that inside she was fuming and wanted to explode but she had always hidden her angry side from me so she refused to blow. I quickly stepped closer to her body, cradling her jaw. I tried to calm her down without telling her the truth even though I knew that was what would fix things. something was stopping me. She tilted her head in the opposite direction of my hand, ripping her skin from my own. "who was it? just fucking tell me." why didn't I tell her. why couldn't I? I rested my hands against my stomach trying to control my increasing breath. "i-i don't know." my voice trailed off with shaky breaths. what the fuck was stopping me. I held onto my arms pretending it was Nika. the room went quiet after Nika took a couple of deep breaths. Nika finally turned around and showed her damp face. her eyebrows furrowed when she saw that I had been crying too. "why are you crying? what do you have to be crying about?" she pointed her finger at my chest, gently bumping me back. I took a breath, stumbling over my air while wiping tears from my cheeks as fast as I could. I tried to keep it together and not sob out of frustration. "it's not anyone Nika I promise." I practically pleaded between words.
"then why won't you tell me!?" her hands flung through the air drastically.
"Please you gotta trust me, baby." I dipped my head into my palms.
"how am I supposed to trust you when you can't even tell me who you're calling babe?"
"It's just a nickname," I whispered under my breath.
"Jesus Christ." her hands were tangled in her hair as she paced around the room.
"I'm sorry" I croaked out between hidden sobs.
I felt weak.
"do you realize that I love you? more than anything in the world and if you do too you need to fucking show it!" she said with her back faced to me.
I held onto that. She loved me more than anything in the world. and I loved her more than myself.
"I-" I opened my mouth to speak but was cut off.
"no. You can explain to me once you actually know how to"
Nika walked out of the door and to her car. I knew where she was going. she drove all the way back to campus to see Paige. it's where she always went when she was upset. So there I was sitting on the edge of our bed. crying to pass the time that was only filled with hope for her coming back through the door and giving me time to explain. I slowly moved to the floor and sat against the wall instead. My knees curled up to my chest. my jeans soaked up all the tears that came out of my eyes. I held onto my shins and sobbed for the rest of the night. it was only at around 3 am that I decided to get up and change something. I brushed through my hair and changed into sweatpants and a cropped tank top. I changed from my slippers into tennis shoes before leaving the apartment and walking to campus. it took me thirty minutes to get there and about ten minutes to get the balls to knock on Paige's door. the door swung open to reveal Paige staring at me. blanker than usual. she was obviously mad and that made me feel even worse. "uh- can I come in?" I know Paige loved me and Nika together and separately so she let me in and sat herself on her couch. "she's in my room." she spit out blandly while motioning her hand behind her head.
"did you walk here?" Paige questioned while shoving leftovers in her mouth.
"yes," I said while walking down to where Nika was. the door was cracked open enough for me to see her lying on Paige's bed. no covers and not a pillow. just flat sheets. I hesitated with my hand hovering over the door knob before creaking open the door. Nika was asleep, which I was part thankful and sad about. She used to say that it was almost impossible to sleep without me. I could tell that she wasn't completely out though. I can always tell now from the number of times I've walked in on her sitting up waiting for me to come back from the bathroom. She would always have a goofy smile on her lips once I called her out for fake sleeping. I chose to lean against the wall after closing the door instead of sitting on the edge of Paige's bed like how I wanted to. I watched Nika's chest rise and fall with every melancholy breath she took in her sleep. A million things went through my head questioning what she could be thinking about. A small hair fell down the side of her face and I took no time to reach and move it back behind her ear. I guess she's a light sleeper without me. she blinked her eyes open and I wanted to cover my face. her eyes were locked with mine for half a second before she looked down at the pale purple sheets she was lying on. we sat in silence for what felt like forever until I spoke.
"it was my best friend. the girl in my contacts." I explained, waiting for Nika to even look at me.
"We have this inside joke where we call each other babe and it was brought up the night before so I thought it would be funny to change her contact to that but I'm now realizing that it was a bad thing to do while in a relationship and I'm so so sorry, I don't want to lose you and I feel like I just did you're the best thing that's ever happened to me and I don't know what I'd do without you-" my words began to trail off before Nika stood up and held her finger to my lips.
"stop." her hand rested on my hip while she stared into my eyes for the first time in 2 hours. I got caught in her eyes. her touch and her breath and everything else. she sighed and looked at the floor then back up to me.
"It's okay," she whispered while wiping the few tears that fell down my face without me noticing. she pressed her forehead against mine while moving her hands to the small of my back. a shiver ran up my spine when I felt her touch on my uncovered skin.
"I love you, Nika. so much more than you think. I'm so" my voice began to break "I'm scared that something will go wrong. that's the only thing that has ever happened to me. I get in an argument and then it's over. if that happened between us, I- I don't know what I'd do." Nika nodded along while I spoke.
"I am never. ever. going to pull that kind of shit on you beba."
Nika's accent calmed me. her words seemed to flow more when her accent was present.
I wrapped my arms around Nika's body pulling her in tightly. I pulled away to see her staring in absolute awe. her hands ran over my hair, slowly twirling strands between her fingers like how I used to.

Nika Mühl X Reader
Beyond the Game

The arena surrounds you like a heavy blanket. It’s a sound you’re used to a mix of cheers, whistles, and the squeak of sneakers on the court. But tonight it feels different. Heavier. More personal…maybe it’s because you’re facing the Seattle Storm and more specifically, her.
Nika.
You spot her as soon as you walk onto the court for warm ups. She’s sitting on the Storm bench, her brown hair pulled into a sharp ponytail her posture upright and alert. Her warmup jacket is loose over her shoulders, but you can still make out the slight bounce of her knee a telltale sign she’s nervous. It’s one of the little things you’ve picked up about her over the years, first as teammates and later as something more.
Your heart clenches and you force yourself to look away. You can’t afford distractions tonight.
The two of you met back at UConn, thrown together in the intensity of one of the best women’s basketball programs in the country. It didn’t take long for you to click. Nika’s fiery energy balanced out your quieter focus and her teasing always managed to get you out of your head when the pressure felt like too much. Over time, the late night study sessions and post practice hangouts turned into something deeper. You fell in love…deep and unshakable.
But love didn’t keep you on the same team. The draft came and went, and now you’re a Las Vegas Ace while Nika is across the country in Seattle. Different jerseys. Different cities. Different teams.
You hadn’t anticipated how hard it would be to face her on the court.
The first quarter flies by in a blur. Seattle’s defense is relentless and your team is fighting for every point. You catch glimpses of Nika on the bench, her eyes fixed on the game but every so often, they dart toward you. She doesn’t smile when you glance her way. She doesn’t need to. The way her gaze softens, just for a moment tells you everything.
The second quarter is more physical. You’re battling for position, driving into the lane when you can trying to keep your team ahead. You catch a rebound off a missed shot and bolt toward the other end of the court, the sound of your shoes pounding against the hardwood echoing in your ears. Somewhere in the chaos, you hear her voice…sharp and commanding as she shouts instructions to her team.
It sends a shiver down your spine. You’ve heard that voice a hundred times in practices, but this is different. Now, she’s an opponent.
By the third quarter, exhaustion is creeping in. The game is tight and the tension on the court is heavy. Every possession feels like a battle.. your body aches, but you push through. You always do. You’ve learned that from her…Nika, with her relentless fire.
The fourth quarter is where everything unravels.
You’re running hard, cutting toward the basket…when it happens. A Seattle forward steps into your path setting a blindside screen. You don’t see it coming. Her body collides with yours and the impact sends you flying backward. There’s no time to think, no time to react. The back of your head hits the court with a sickening thud.
Pain explodes behind your eyes, sharp and overwhelming. The world spins and the crowd’s roar becomes distant. You blink rapidly trying to clear the haze but all you can see are the harsh overhead lights and blurry shapes moving around you.
Through the haze, you hear your name.
“Y/N!”
It’s her. You know it’s her.
You manage to tilt your head just enough to see the Seattle bench. Nika is on her feet…her hands gripping the edge of her seat like she’s about to bolt onto the court. Her eyes are wide with panic, her mouth slightly open as if she’s holding back a scream.
She wants to run to you. You can see it in the way her body leans forward…as if the only thing stopping her is the weight of the game and the unspoken rules that keep her on her side of the court.
The trainers are beside you now asking questions you can barely process. “What’s your name? Can you hear me? How many fingers am I holding up?” Their voices are gentle but insistent. You try to answer but your attention keeps slipping back to her. To Nika, who hasn’t moved from her spot even though her entire body looks like it’s trembling with the effort to stay put.
You try to lift your hand a weak signal, something to let her know you’re okay…but it barely moves. She sees it anyway and her hands fly to her mouth, you can see the tears welling in her eyes.
You don’t know how much time passes before they help you to your feet. The crowd cheers as you’re led off the court…though the noise feels distant and strange. Your legs feel shaky and your head is pounding but you glance over your shoulder one more time.
Nika is still standingstill watching. Her hands are clasped in front of her chest now, like she’s holding herself together.
Back in the tunnel you’re taken to the trainer’s room for evaluation. Your head is spinning and the bright lights are making your eyes sting but all you can think about is her.
Your phone buzzes on the bench beside you. You reach for it, fumbling slightly as you try and unlock the screen…It’s a text from her.
Nika💗: Are you okay? Baby Please. Please tell me you’re okay. I can’t sit here anymore.
Your chest tightens and your eyes blur not from pain, but from the ache of knowing how much this is killing her. You type back with shaky hands.
You: I’ll be okay. Don’t worry. Play your game.
The response feels hollow but you know it’s what she needs to hear. You imagine her reading it…clutching her phone like it’s a lifeline.
The game finishes without you on the court. The trainers cleared you from anything serious…a mild concussion, bruises that will ache for days, but nothing crazy. The anxiety in your chest hasn’t eased…you know your girl. You know she’ll be looking for you the second she can.
You’re just outside the locker rooms, every passing second dragging. Your phone vibrates in your hand, and you glance down at the screen.
Nika💗: Where are you? Are you still with the trainers? I’m coming to find you.
You barely have time to respond before you hear hurried footsteps echoing down the hallway.
Nika rounds the corner, her hair damp from a rushed shower and her Storm warmup jacket thrown hastily on. Her eyes are scanning the hallway frantic, until they land on you. She stops for a split second, and then she’s running.
Before you can say a word, her arms are around you pulling you into a hug so tight it almost knocks the air out of your lungs. She buries her face into the curve of your neck, her breath warm and uneven against your skin.
“You scared the hell out of me, ljubav.” she whispers her voice full of emotion. “I thought…I didn’t know if you were okay. I couldn’t come to you. God, I hated it.”
Her words spill out in a rush like she’s been holding them in since the moment you hit the court. You wrap your arms around her pulling her even closer. The tension in her body is noticeable and her hands are clutching at your jersey.
“Baby,” you murmur, your own voice thick with emotion. “I’m okay. I promise, I’m okay.”
She pulls back just enough to cup your face in her hands, her thumbs brushing lightly over your cheeks. “You don’t look okay,” she says, her voice soft. “You’re pale, and your head God, your head…”
“Gee thanks babe” you tease her while covering her hands with your own. “The trainers cleared me. Nothing serious…just some bruises and a small concussion.”
Her jaw tightens and for a moment, she doesn’t say anything. Her hands drop to your shoulders, holding you at arm’s length as her gaze hardens. “Don’t you ever do that to me again Y/N, you hear me?”
You blink at her surprised by the sudden intensity in her tone. “Do what?”
“Scare me like that” she says, her voice sharp but cracking under the weight of her emotions. “I couldn’t move, baby. I couldn’t come to you when you were lying there and it was killing me.”
Her words hit you, the raw vulnerability in her voice. You reach for her hands, squeezing them tightly. “Nika, you didn’t do anything wrong. You were there in the way I needed you to be. I saw you. I felt you.”
She frowns and she shakes her head, a tear slipping down her cheek. “You’re not allowed to get hurt like that again” she mutters, her voice quieter now but no less serious. “I don’t care if we’re on opposite teams. I’ll get ejected if I have to. I’ll run across the court next time.”
You chuckle softly, the sound broken but genuine. “I’d expect nothing less from you.”
Her lips press into a thin line but you can see the faintest hint of a smile tugging at the corners. “You think I’m kidding babe?”
“I know you’re not.”
The two of you fall silent for a moment, the noise of the arena and the post-game chaos fading into the background. She leans down to kiss you, it’s passionate and intense. It makes you melt against her.
“I love you,” she says suddenly, her voice barely above a whisper. “You know that, right?”
Your chest tightens, and you nod, leaning into her touch. “I love you too. Always.”
She swallows hard and pulls you back into her arms, holding you like she’s afraid to let go.

Boombastic
Just a short story while I try to get back into writing. Don't love it, but it's better than nothing 😁 Constructive criticism is always welcome. Find my masterlist here :)
Pairing(s): Nika Mühl x female!reader Word count: 1.3k+ Summary: You catch Nika watching TikTok edits of you.
------------
When you enrolled in UConn, your only plans were to play basketball and get a degree. You didn’t care about making friends or getting a girlfriend. You only really wanted to play ball, but you knew you needed to have a backup in case something happened and you could never play again. So a degree in communication it was.
It’s not like you struggled making friends, you just didn’t ever have your own little friend group. You hopped from group to group, always a friend to everyone, but never letting anyone get too close. Well, that was before you came to university. If you really thought you were going to be able to only be teammates with your basketball team, you thought wrong. Joining that team means joining a family. And thank God for that. You loved those girls to pieces and were happy to call every single one of them your best friends.
You were especially close to Nika, however. Which was a good thing, seeing as she was also your roommate. And maybe you also had a tiny crush on her, but no one needed to know that. Sure, you two playfully flirted with each other all the time, but that was all just a joke. To the Croatian, at least. You meant every single thing you said to her. Things like how she was the prettiest girl you’d ever seen, how her smile could light up the darkest rooms, and how if she were yours, you’d treat her right.
There are moments when you think she might like you back. The way she looks at you isn’t the way friends look at each other. Friends also don’t blush the way she does when you lean in close to mutter a compliment. But then you start overthinking it and make yourself believe that you’re just imagining things. Because there is no way that the goddess that is Nika Mühl will ever like you.
----
You hum your favorite song to yourself as you walk through the hallways. You’d just gone out for some errands and were on the way back to your dorm. You wonder if Nika is already there or if she’s still with Paige. You hope she’s home, maybe then you two could finish the show you’d started a while ago. You quicken your step a little as you near your dorm. When you open the door, you take a step inside to see Nika already on the couch, her back towards you.
A grin appears on your face as you quietly put your stuff down on the table next to the door. You open your mouth to say something, but you know that wouldn’t do much. Nika is wearing those annoying headphones that you complain about at least once a day. They’re great for the person wearing them, the sound is clear, and outside sounds are completely muffled. They aren’t so great for the people around them, though. You can clearly hear everything the wearer is listening to, while they can’t hear you yell at them to turn it down.
You start taking off your shoes as you hear the song playing on Nika’s phone. You smirk a little as you recognize the music. Boombastic by Shaggy. The song has been all over your fyp all week, so you figure the brunette is scrolling on TikTok. Your face scrunches up in confusion when you’ve finally taken off both shoes. The song was playing on repeat. “I swear to God if she’s watching an edit of herself to that song,” you think to yourself as a mischievous grin grows on your face.
You walk over and pause behind her, watching her phone from over her shoulder. Your mouth drops open as you see yourself in the video. A smirk appears on your face as you watch Nika play the TikTok over and over again. You see that she’s already liked it and has it saved to one of her folders. You shoot forward, snatching the phone out of her hands as you quickly back up.
The brunette bolts up as she looks at you with wide eyes, her cheeks blazing red in embarrassment. “Y/N, give me back my phone!” She huffs. She tries to take it out of your hands, but you hold your arm away from her as you look at her cockily. “Damn, I look good,” you hum, pursing your lips.
“Y/N, please,” she begs, looking at the floor. You tap her profile as you check out in which folder she saved the video. “Oh. My. God… You have a folder with 102 edits saved of me?” You laugh in shock and amusement. The Croatian girl burns an even brighter red as she stops trying to steal the phone from you, having accepted defeat. She sits back down as she puts her face in her hands. “Shut uppp,” she whines.
You look away from the phone towards the brunette, your smile softening. “God, she’s adorable,” you think. Nika huffs as she hears you take a screenshot of the number and send it to yourself. She wishes the ground would open up and swallow her whole. Once you’re done, you throw the phone next to her, not looking as it bounces against her thigh.
You grab your own phone, saving the screenshot before opening your TikTok. After a few swipes, you put your phone back in your pocket as you look at Nika with a grin. Feeling her phone buzz, the brunette grabs it and unlocks it to check your message. She stares at the picture you sent for a few seconds. It was a screenshot of your own TikTok account, a folder with her name on it visible. The number “253” on display.
“You… you have 253 TikToks saved of me?” She says as she looks up at you, her eyes wide. “102 is a rookie number. I thought you liked me?” You tease as you cross your arms. She rolls her eyes as you walk over, a smirk forming on her face. “253 of me? People are gonna think you have a crush on me, Y/N/N,” she grins. You grab her hand and pull her up from the couch. Her cheeks flaming as you pull her against you. “Hmm, and so what if I do?” You say with a low voice as you grab her chin.
“I’m not sure I believe you,” she replies, looking up at you with doe eyes. “Is that so?” You mutter, leaning a little closer to her. “Mhm… Why don’t you show me how much you like me?” She mumbles back. She barely has time to finish her sentence as you pull her face towards your own. You kiss her hard and deep as you grip her a little tighter. When you’re out of breath, you back up a bit and smirk. “How was that for proof?”
She rolls her eyes at you, a grin on her face. You soften a bit as you look at her. You move your hand to cup her cheek as you rub your thumb across it. “I really like you, Niks,” you say, your voice barely louder than a whisper. You don’t care about the fact that you’re looking at her with vulnerable, desperate eyes. You needed her to know.
She grabs your face in her hands, pulling you close. You stare into her eyes, only being a few inches away from her. “Then why haven’t you asked me out yet?” She murmurs, her lips a small pout. You look at her in adoration and a hint of regret. “I’m sorry for being too scared to… Let me make it up to you? Dinner at 6 tomorrow?”
She grins at you, pulling you in for another kiss. “Deal.” You beam a wide smile at her before smirking. “So… Do you often watch TikToks of me on repeat?” You let out a deep laugh as Nika slaps your shoulder, pushing you away. You grab her wrists, pulling her back against you in a hug. “You’re a jerk,” she mutters against your chest. “Yeah, but you love me,” you reply, feeling her smile against your shirt. “Hmph,” she huffs, but squeezes you tighter.
You suppose those damn headphones aren’t so bad after all.

Huskey Pack with Omega Reader HCs

The second they meet you, you’re theirs
Doesn’t matter if you know that or not
Or id you accept it
Bc they claimed you
The made sure the whole team knew too
It helped you were moved into their dorm
So now they scent mark you and all your things
Sweaty hugs
“accidentally” rubbing against you
Rubbing their wrist scent gland by yours
Nosing your neck during hugs
And your oblivious to is all
They start secretly getting u to attend pack bonding
Its movie nights at first
Seemingly innocent but their all scent bonding
Scents mixing in the air as u nap on nika
Then they start bringing you gifts
A clear sign that they want you
Then the soft kisses to your head or cheek
Then paige gets impatient and fucks u in the showers
Much to nika and azzis annoyance
Bc they had a plan
But now your their omega officially
And they are sooooo protective of you
Your always scented
Always full of cum
And ALWAYS on someones lap or in their arms
They are such soft baby’s that give u such princess treatment
But rough daddies in the bedroom.
They are cuddly ass babys
You’re always in someones room
