Days 5 + 10 of Rise August! I think this is the most I've ever beaten up Leo... I don't really draw injuries very often, but given the prompts... figured I might as well practice!

actually shocked there hasn’t been any sort of movement by actors or sets or costume departments against scenes being poorly lit when they don’t have to be

there’s so much subtle face and head movement happening between agatha and rio that i didn’t even notice until i adjusted the scene to gif which is absurd because it adds so much more to the moments (especially the end of ep 4)

then the costume designer is talking about how after teen is injured in 4, his hoodie starts to change color from navy blue to maroon, a fact i didn’t even notice until he said it in a bts video days after the series ended

we should be able to see these things first viewing, no adjustments. we should be able to see that there’s more to jen’s and lilia’s and alice’s outfits. even if we can’t see the specifics we should know there’s something there if we went looking

and the road is literally the perfect environment to ignore keeping dark scenes dark. it’s a place outside of the known realm and exists entirely through magic. there’s a moon in the sky that doesn’t have to follow earth laws because this isn’t a real place

my favorite thing about shadowbringers is and will forever always be that it's pretty much just the aftermath of a jrpg plot in of itself. like every single member of ardbert's crew had their own personal journeys and backstory and calls to adventure and he slowly collected them along the way like a classical rpg story and everything. there was something there, once. you could have (and were) that exact same person in that exact same situation, once. ardbert did literally everything right and still it came to this etc etc

Yo! Don’t mean this to be anything spooky I love your art and the story you’re curating! I am someone with non correctable progressive vision issues and have noticed a lot of ppl in the ffxiv community using shadowbringers as an in to make their characters partially sighted or unsighted. The only thing I wanted to point out is that eyes generally only cloud with direct injury, infection, or something like cataracts (which is treatable). I don’t know your background and assume you have done research into how to handle displaying a disability like that, but wanted to point out that lightening eyes as a visual indicator of vision issues can be challenging. I have had people come to me and others in my life saying that since the disability isn’t visual as depicted in media that we couldn’t possibly be disabled or have any physical differences. Totally understand why people do it totally understand why it’s interesting to introduce to a character. Just something to be aware of. Visual impairment specifically I think gets handled really poorly in general media (side eyeing ‘shtola). Not upset or trying to be nitpicky! Idk your experience or background so you might be well aware. Just wanted to share my personal lived experience in case :,)

Yes I have done someeee research though obviously im no expert on the subject (and I wanted to directly address what happened to Sesame later in his story, I kept it a little vague on purpose currently) but so far I did intent for some kind of cataract to be on his eyes and def doesn't have complete vision loss however it def is impaired at the moment.

However !! In any case I will do my best to depict it as properly as I can but of course if something comes up I would love to hear any feedback/guidance!
